Starting point is 00:00:00 Spire 106, good morning. Buenos Aires. Good morning. Hey, I had to bring this up right now after this song. So yesterday I went to get my hair done, and I just want to say the ladies do not care that Drake and Kendrick are beefing. They're pro-Drake. The girls that were doing my hair, they're like, so now that we have you here, what do you think of the Drake and Kendrick beat? And then I'm like, yeah, you know, and then they're like, yeah, well, we don't even like that beat.
Starting point is 00:00:28 and Kendrick's not even like for us and I was like oh my god you did not do this while you have dye in my hair Of course they're going to choose Drake No of course ladies love Drake And I told him I'm like I get it Drake makes music like literally for right now The hair salon I get it
Starting point is 00:00:42 I get it I'm like it's the hard raps That Kendrick has They're like we don't even like his raps like that And I was like this just shows me That the beef no matter what Kendrick drops or Drake drops They're gonna side With Drake like it's yeah
Starting point is 00:00:57 that's big do you know what I'm saying yeah so in solidarity with Kendrick you got up and left mid no but I was like oh no I'm like you know what I told him I told him no let's let me say what I told him
Starting point is 00:01:08 bro my hair is being died at that point you are not you're not gonna get me out the chair I took that opportunity as a learning experience for them and I was like I get it too I don't always like good music but you know what I told them that of course but they're playing back and forth
Starting point is 00:01:23 with me yeah but I was like no I see that every every artist has their audience that no matter what. And for Drake, and I was like, listen here, Drake Hive. For Drake, it's Drake and he really can do no wrong. And they were like, he was just, you know how we're like, why is it trending that Drake is just chilling and here comes Kendrick?
Starting point is 00:01:40 Yeah. And they're like, he's just on tour. He's just killing it. And I'm like, yeah, but every shot he takes is at Kendrick. At some point this hole is going to say, hey, all those things you said about me, boom, it's on. But they were like, no, well, like, we don't listen to Kendrick. And I'm like, and you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:57 I could tell. Yeah, yeah. It makes sense. Because I think you've said it to like, Drake makes music for girls. And it's true. Have a lot of friends that are not, they don't listen to hip-hop or music just in general. The way we listen to it. So I get it.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Because Drake is more poppy. Drake is more mainstream. So of course he's going to have more of a wider audience. And I expect a lot of the girls to be with. Yeah. With Drake. No matter what. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:20 I mean, I think from that perspective, like nothing that Kendrick can say will really get those core like female What I told them I'm like even if y'all don't like what Kendrick raps Drake likes the way Kendrick raps Even if the way that Kendrick wraps is not for you That's the type of rap
Starting point is 00:02:39 That Drake likes Drake is a hip hop head That's why it matters to him So much to be in these conversations That's why he beefs with the hip hop heads all the time From Kahn to Push it to Kendrick Because he is genuinely a hip hop Ped. We saw like only a hip hop Papette would want the mic of push a tea when he was just a fan, you know?
Starting point is 00:02:57 Like, that's the type of the rap that Drake likes and wants to be included in, even if he's making everybody music. You know what I'm saying? I'll just say, Letti, how come your hair's a little darker on one side and there's little spots? My hair legs, don't even play. And I went to the IE for it. Shout to Tachino Hills.
Starting point is 00:03:13 They were starting to mess up with your hair a little bit. No, no, no, no, don't do my baby girl like that. Don't do my baby girl Mercedes like that. She killed it. No, no, no. But it was so funny to me. Because, like, now that we have you. Damn, they're waiting on me.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Yeah. Why is Kendrick so mad at Drake? And I was like, oh, my God, I don't like this. But some people are going to think like that. And I think that's the reason why we have to have these conversations of like where it started. Because leave it to Drake, standing 10 toes down with his chest out and his head up, like having said it at the concert. It's like, why is everybody coming at me? I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Yeah. And it's like, bro, listen to the songs you're playing right now. They are all shots at this one full Kendrick. Hair shop talks is funny because I'm just thinking of it. Right. It's the equivalent of barbershop talks. Yeah. With us, it just gets way more like, no, I hate drink.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Like, it gets so much more. It's very like a big old debate. Yeah, and it'll come out of nowhere. What trip me out is like Mercedes was like, you know what? I guess I would have liked it, but that's like a really bad beat. And I was like, I looked at hair and I was like, this is not a bad beat. This is an incredible beat. This is the best beat in the world.
Starting point is 00:04:19 This beat is so amazing. But I was like, it's meant to get your attention. Yeah. It's loud like that so that you stop in your tracks and you listen to what they got to say. Yeah, Mercedes don't listen to lyrics. Did you bring it down? This is not the vibes. Did you break it down?
Starting point is 00:04:33 You're like, oh, well, actually, it's like a sample of like the 80s, like Rodney O'N Joe. No, because you got to know. You got to know who you're talking to. You got to know what their intention is. You got to like pick your battles. Like, I was like, all right, I get it. Like, this is Drake Kive. They probably dance to fancy cheers to like any Drake song.
Starting point is 00:04:51 And it's good. Yeah. Drake has those. But it's like they don't know Drake for the beefs or necessarily want him for the beefs. They don't want him for me. Yeah, for sure. And they want that. Which he has those songs.
Starting point is 00:05:04 And then they're thinking, well, he made Hotline Blink. Why is Kendrick going at him? Because they only hear those songs. They're not listening to the deep cuts of like the Pluto song and all of that. So it was crazy. It was so crazy. But it really made me think like, oh, damn. I'm like, yep.
Starting point is 00:05:19 No matter what happens in the. beef yeah there's gonna be people that are like no Kendrick like Kendrick could literally annihilate Drake and it would be like no yeah they might not even hear that part yeah for sure now that we that were here let the are you going back to them yeah why not I love the IE I love putting money on the Rockies let the chose sides I don't get where this narrative is coming from I chose sides because I let a girl do my hair yeah you're supposed to get up like the undertaker yep yep Didn't you just say that you have these debates in a barbershop?
Starting point is 00:05:54 You don't leave. Yeah. No, I get in a fight with everybody and then I just go out with the half hair cut. Yeah, there's that awkward silence. You go out with the half hair cut? I thought that's just what you liked. Ah.
Starting point is 00:06:04 All right. Power one of six. I didn't know I was going to get shamed for your head. It's crazy. He would hear, Maximo's Nye. Simp or PIMP. Sip. Sip.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Sips. Sips. Sips, sip, sip, sim, sim, sim. Y'auele, Maximo. Well, 90-day fiancé cast member, Ashley, has showed that women will do anything to argue. So 90-day fiancé is a show. Yes, 90-day fiancé is a show on TV.
Starting point is 00:06:36 And what they do is that they get couples together. It's one of those reality shows where they put you together and you have like 90 days to figure out if you want to get married. Well, they already know each other. Yeah, yeah. And then the TV starts filming them. them a visa so it's usually like uh u.s residents and they go out of the country yeah bring their other partner in they follow couples that are going through the process of they have everyone by the way
Starting point is 00:07:01 everyone has 90 days yeah to get married it's like online dating yeah that's what they're doing right everyone has 90 days to get married like you get your marriage license and you have to do it in 90 days or else you're it goes away but they are kicked out of the country yeah yeah so yes so there's a couple it's ashley and manuel So Manuel is from Ecuador. He doesn't speak English very much. And Ashley is actually from the U.S. And her job, she's like a witch.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Wait, her job is a witch. What do you mean? Like natural healer? Well, it says, from what I read. It says job title, witch. Yes. What? Maximo.
Starting point is 00:07:44 I swear. I don't know if you were. I'm sure natural healer is the other word that they probably use. Natural. This is like when you caught Crystal's rocks Yes, exactly You're like, but You know, they got together
Starting point is 00:07:59 And Ashley proved that women will do anything to argue She learned Spanish She doesn't speak Spanish She doesn't speak Spanish But her 90 fiancé is from Ecuador And now he doesn't speak Spanish So listen to their conversation You know, I'm going to be frustrated.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Oh, oh, you need to ask me to what you want to say. But literally you decide not you do, a bit of a bitrastrable. Aw. I love it. I love that.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Anytime you tell a woman relax, it is the worst. So guys, we'll relax when you say relax. Yeah, we're. Yeah. I say relax. Relax.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Relax. Chill. We get it. We get it. Yeah, we get it. But she speaks really good. Yeah, she does. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:57 She's fluent. Even the word she's making up still makes sense. Yeah. You can like understand. Literally meant there. Yeah. She put her own little sauce on it. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Whatever program she used, please use it brother. I thought she was singing the bad bunny song. Me pi cantoe. I thought this sounds like, she didn't know what she said. I thought she was saying, yeah. I love it. You should go to her class.
Starting point is 00:09:20 The funny thing is she didn't stop there. The conversation continued in. It's just so good to listen to it. No to respond to nothing. But in my life personal, I know to who to talk and to not conversat. You want to be your spouse, Manuel. At least I feel like no you're saying, oh my God, Jesus me,
Starting point is 00:09:43 I'm going to I'm going to yore and you know what I love she's got the emotions down. Yeah, she goes to the words.
Starting point is 00:09:51 That's how you feel them. And even if he didn't understand her, he would know what she's saying. Oh, he knows exactly what he's saying. And I'm going to
Starting point is 00:09:57 yorando. Yeah, it's like I'm listening to myself right now. That's how you sound. Actually, she speaks way better than you. She speaks really
Starting point is 00:10:05 and it's going viral. Yeah, her commitment, I appreciate because she could have said like, oh my God, I'm about to cry. And like,
Starting point is 00:10:12 he probably would have understood that. Yeah. But no, she went full like, adios meo. Yeah. Oh my God, adios meo.
Starting point is 00:10:18 That's very embarrassedado of her. Embarrassado. Yeah. I'm sorry embarrassedado. She's going to be like, what? You're having a kid? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:10:27 It's really cool that, I mean, her learning Spanish to communicate just shows like the dedication that she has to try to make it work. Yeah. To get married, for sure. Okay, so Loki,
Starting point is 00:10:39 they have a situation going on, though. Did you feel the backstory on their relationship? So the backstory story is that Manuel had to go back to Ecuador, so she actually went over there and got engaged with him. And that's when they came back and came back on the second, like a second season of 90-day fiancee. Okay. So there was a lot of ups and downs with them because according to the show, Manuel was hiding a lot of information where he wasn't really introducing her to his kids. He had two
Starting point is 00:11:06 kids from a previous marriage. He wasn't telling his family that he was going to the U.S. to get married. That's his business. Yeah. And that's why in this argument you hear him saying like it's personal, you know, like, I don't need to tell you everything. I don't need to tell you everything. I don't need to say I have a whole family back at home. That I'm using you to get my papers to send money back home to. And her family actually wasn't really happy with him. Because a lot of, you know, a lot of people, they see what is being shown.
Starting point is 00:11:32 So they thought also he was super sketch. He's hiding. Yeah. Oh, he was being sketched. But she loves him. She loves him so much. She learned Spanish. Let's tell him that she's going to cry. So she's going to cry and she's there to argue. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. It's the Gerondo. Can you play that part? Oh, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Yeah. Oh my God. Oh, my God. Oh, baby girl. She's good. Yeah, she does. So they've been on two seasons. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:03 This is their second season. The first time you had to go back and then this time they're trying to do it again. That's like a hundred. Oh, it's like, uh, it's like a, yeah. Got it. They're going to be stars. Yeah, they are. I wonder if in the first season
Starting point is 00:12:15 she knew Spanish. Oh, true. She learned for him? She learned for him? Oh, definitely. She learned for him. I want to see the first season now. Shout out her.
Starting point is 00:12:22 She made me want to watch 90 fiancé. Yeah. Yeah. But is she a sim? Are she a Pimp for this? For learning. I think she's Pimp. For being able to yell at him in Spanish.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Yeah, actually. Yeah. And I mean, she got argue now. Yeah. Like, she was like, what? I think. You know, it's funny because, you know, you see couples when someone
Starting point is 00:12:41 is dating like a non-latino person sometimes like they'll joke around because like my brother-in-law used to do that he'd be like, no savi lo what I do oh yeah, you know, point out her yeah, like she don't get that joke like he goes over again. Not even non-Latino, just non-Spanish speaking
Starting point is 00:12:55 they could do that with Greg. True. But you know what you're saying? I know exactly what you're saying. So it's like that can happen around her. It's like I know everything you're doing. Everything they're saying.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Oh my God, why you start your honor. They're learning on the like on the side. Just for that exact moment. What turns me out is how easy it is for some people to learn
Starting point is 00:13:16 and I feel like I've tried to learn other languages so much and it doesn't it doesn't stick up yeah. I'm like whatever she's doing I need to be on that program.
Starting point is 00:13:23 No, that's facts. Every time I've tried to learn like French or like Italian me, I'm sorry year and so she's a Rolando
Starting point is 00:13:31 all right is she's a Pimp or she's a Pimp. She's a Pimp. She's a Pimp. She's a Pimp. Really? That's Pimp. You thought Sim
Starting point is 00:13:37 because she's the one that went to Ecuador for him and got engaged and brought him back. So she's, he's on her pocket right now. His expense. I thought Sim because of the way that he reacted, because if you see the video, Brownback Mornings 106 on Instagram, if you see the video, he's just chilling and she's just like pouring her heart out. Like, please just saying he's like, relaxate. Relax. Relax. That's me. Like it's my statured. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:05 It's like, oh my God, boy, you're starting around. Like, I felt like not even the learning Spanish part, But just that exchange, I'm like, oh, baby girl. No wonder if your family watches this. They don't like. You don't like him. I was a sick guy. She's like, you have a wife? He's like, it's personal.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Yeah. And that's why to me she's a sin. So we're kind of like dead even. Yeah. She learned like her learning Spanish to argue. Like that's a great chest move right there. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I'm saying. Pimp. Pimp? Yeah. So the actual act of her learning? Yes. Yes. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Pimp. Pimp. Pimp! Yeah. See it. What's the word? Word on Rosecrans. Roastcrans.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Roast the word. The word is, Ferell Williams and producer Chad Hugo, who formed the Neptunes together, are now battling each other, not in the studio, but in the courtroom. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Okay? So, look, if you don't know who the Neptunes are, let me bring you back to the good times before we get into the drama. Okay. All right, listen to this. Okay, so it turns out that Farrell and Chad's legal teams are beefing in the courtroom for the name the Neptunes. So attorneys for Chad Hugo accused Farrell and his company of attempting to register trademarks for the Neptune's name.
Starting point is 00:15:58 So basically trying to own it outright, even though they've agreed for the last 30 years to split everything, Neptune's 50-50. So Pusha-T who's done plenty of songs, produced by the duos, has chimed in on Instagram. He posted an IG story of his comment that said, there's not a dollar involved in this stupidity, just a lawyer looking to drain Chad's pockets. So he's basically saying they're not even fighting over any money. It's just a lawyer that's trying to like get money and tell Chad, yo, you have a case here.
Starting point is 00:16:30 You know, if you pay me, I can get you more money. Right. Whatever. But he's like basically push a T saying it's not going to go anywhere. Yeah. Like they're not going to like, there's not going to lead to any money. Like they've been splitting the money. how they've been.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Kind of a waste of time then. Pretty much. Yes. It also is like Hugo is the one, Chad is the one that is actually going after for, but because they're saying that the lawyer is influencing him. The lawyer's kind of in his ear about it. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:58 So there is a dispute. There's a dispute, but it's like, Chad, don't be listening to this full. Yeah. Exactly. Because, I mean, they've come a long way. They've built amazing things, amazing relationships. And just, you know, it always sucks.
Starting point is 00:17:11 seeing like groups like this split or breakup over financial situations, you know? Yeah, and I've kind of wondered like why you see like a lot of Farrell beats still to this day, which are incredible. But then it's like it's just a little different when it's Neptunes. Facts. You know, and it's like why haven't they done like things together recently? You know, you think maybe Chad's always kind of been in the background anyway. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Maybe it's just like, ah, he's chilling somewhere. But I didn't ever imagine there was any type of drama, you know, surrounding it. Yeah, same. But it's 2024 and everybody's. at war apparently. Yep. 2024, everybody's at war. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Yes. But speaking of lawsuits, okay, reportedly allegedly, all right, a lawsuit revealed that Facebook has reportedly sold all of its users' private messages to Netflix for over $100 million. She! Let me go out of my DMs really quick. Hold on. I feel like it's worth more.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Yeah, for sure. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. Billions. Exactly. So reportedly, allegedly, again, there are new court documents. They're saying for nearly a million.
Starting point is 00:18:11 a decade, Netflix brought into our info from Facebook and they were allowed to see user DMs to help them tailor content to us. Wow. And there's now a class action lawsuit being filed by two U.S. citizens that they've enjoyed a special relationship. The two Netflix and Facebook have enjoyed a special relationship collaborating on this. So my question to y'all, if your DMs could be turned into a Netflix series, what would it be called?
Starting point is 00:18:37 What would it be called? Yeah. Oh, wow. I don't know. I was trying to compare mine. And I don't know if by my DMs, you could tell what type of Netflix shows. Yeah, that's what was kind of odd to me. It's like, it's like going to just run through all your messages.
Starting point is 00:18:50 And it's like, I'm not DMing people about like, oh, you know what I want to watch on Netflix tonight. There would be a bunch of feet, uh, Netflix shows. Really? No. Don't people do that? Yeah. Yeah. There's, uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Um, I think mine would probably be called like, spin the block, you know? Spin the block. Oh, for sure. Yeah. Oh, my name is Blocked Left on red Left on red
Starting point is 00:19:14 Yeah Seen Yeah, seen Oh, that's a good one Yeah You've got mail You've got mail That's like so old
Starting point is 00:19:23 It's a remake It'll be a re-a It's a new version If our DMs got read There would be a show on Netflix About listening to people's music Oh Yeah
Starting point is 00:19:33 Listen to my music Play this song Oh my gosh That would be it They're not reading our DMs I don't know that this is a real thing. Yeah, I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Yo, I'm an artist fam. I mean, yeah, I'm an artist fan. Imagine a homie helpline series. Or it would be like, I'm a billionaire with all this money. What do I do? Yeah, that's the new one.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Looking for local Latinas? That part. That part. No, the new ones is like, brilliant, amazing. Oh, yeah, yeah. I have a very special offer for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Oh, yeah. It's click this link and then you're the scammer now. Oh, yeah. Right. You're the scammer now. Now. Hey, remember me from high school? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Hey, I love your content on TikTok. Hey, is this your photo? And it's on Instagram. Hey, Vic at Crypto got me a million dollars. Yeah. Follow him too. And you get your $1 million. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:24 And then all the fake DJ pages. Oh, my God. Celebrity DJ, man. Celebrity DJ. I was like, I saw that page. How do the fake DJ pages of me have more followers of me? It makes no sense. Get your followers up.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yeah. That should be a show. Get your followers up. Yeah. But this is reportedly allegedly. Yes. Yeah, we're not sure. Everything is sold to get us ads.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Right. Yeah. I mean, that's how Facebook makes their bread. Like, people wonder like, well, how is it, you know, going for this long? We don't pay a monthly subscription or anything. It's like, well, I'll tell you how. But I don't know that I've ever seen a Netflix ad on Instagram. Yeah, that's the part I'm not 100% sure about.
Starting point is 00:21:04 On Facebook. All Instagram DMs. Well, Facebook owns Instagram. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Whoever's reading my DMs is probably like, poor dude. That would have been an epic show.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Down on his luck. The lonely man. Let's help this guy out. Hold on. All right. Well, that was your word on Rose Cranz. I'm Rose Cranz. I'm Rose Cranz.
Starting point is 00:21:24 I'm Rose Cranz. This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Es? Don't you know I'm local? Are the New Orleans Saints coming to So. Cal? What?
Starting point is 00:21:39 No, we have enough teams. I do. We have enough. But the New Orleans, and there's not a, I propose joke. The New Orleans Saints, there's a lot of Saints fans out here. Yeah, surprisingly there is. Yeah. Really?
Starting point is 00:21:51 So they would have, like, a good audience. Yeah. I think there's a lot of fans of every team, except the Rams. Except the Rams? I think there's a lot of Rams fans. There's a lot of Rams fans. But, like, when you go to Rams games, it's always the other teams. The other teams, that whoever they're playing.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Well, that's just because they don't want to watch the game in their crap. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Sorry. Oh my God. Sorry, not sorry. That's what happens. They make it a trip. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Says a rated fan. Well, the New Orleans Saints, they announced Friday that the team's 2024 training camp is going to be at the University of California Irvine. Oh, you're going to the O.C. Of course they would. Shout to the Saints from the O.C. Imagine the O.C. don't have a team. No.
Starting point is 00:22:32 No, but the Chargers do train over there. Everyone close to there. The Rams used to play in Anaheim at the Anaheim stadium. They did? They used to be the Anaheim Rams? No, but they just
Starting point is 00:22:41 used to play there. So they had a lot of fans there. It should have just been the Anaheim Rams. Yeah. Are the angels still in Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh my gosh. It's so dumb. Yeah. I always find it crazy how these football teams come out here to Cali to train. Like, bro, stay in your city.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Stay in your city. Learn how to play over there. Except the Packers. You're welcome. So you're so dumb. Do the Packers train on here too? No, they train the snow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Like to get that up. That makes sense. I would do the opposite. I feel like this is like the pristine weather. And then it's not going to be the same like when you go into your field, your respective fields. But apparently their venue where they usually train is getting remodeled. So that's why they don't have home. Out of all places to them.
Starting point is 00:23:22 So you see your mind? Yeah. You see our mind. Yeah. That's actually really crazy because Louisiana is huge. Yeah. You know, they can play in like background. But imagine you're in Louisiana and you're like, we could go anywhere here or we could go anywhere here.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Or we could go. You see Irvine. Yeah. How far. Marketing wise, it's smart. Like, the market is saturated here, but like if they just have, you know, the fact that they have, you know, people can drive to the O.C. And watch like, like, okay, well, I'm going to remember that. Especially if they have a good team.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I wonder if you know how baseball sees you and spring training, at least for half of the teams is in Arizona. Yeah. Could just half of the training for football team should be like that. Be in Cali? Yeah. That would be great for us. Yes, no, that would be great for us because then we would have to travel so much during football games. I think traveling for football games is crazy.
Starting point is 00:24:12 You know, another team that does that is the Cowboys. They train in Oxnard. Which is not far from here. Yeah. They've been doing that for years. Why? That's where they have their training camp. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Wow. They've been doing it for a long time. Is there open fields over there? I guess so. I guess there's a lot of room. I mean, it makes sense, though, because again, like a lot of cowboy fans will make a weekend out of it or a week and they'll drive out to Oxnard. Yeah. If it's that easy versus going to Dallas or?
Starting point is 00:24:40 Yeah, who wants to go there? No, I'm kidding. Kidding. It's okay. We can't talk anything about any region, okay? The time you're representing. I was just trying to have Vicks back. Oh, okay. Got your back, Vick.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Thank you. Yeah, I think that that would be tight to be able to drive here and go to see all our. Yeah, drive to UC Irvine. And they keep them out of Los Angeles because they don't want them clubbing and going out. Oh, they're going to find a way. Larry. All that is, like that's right.
Starting point is 00:25:06 All that is is a $50 Uber. Yeah. Cool. Dang. From Irvine to Hollywood. Or they could just go to like downtown Fullerton and get really crazy. Don't tell them where to go, bro. What I was thinking was like maybe because look he, even again, for spring training, at least for the Dodgers, it's close.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Yeah. But Texas is not close for the cowboys to come here and be doing it. They're trying to take the LA fans. Texas is pretty far. All right And I appreciate I'm trying to wake up That's what I'm standing up
Starting point is 00:25:38 That's what I'm laughing Okay All right Hey remember you're blocked I just got a text message That's why it's a laughing See? Oh
Starting point is 00:25:49 But you're a girl that blocked you Or from another girl? No, for the one that blocked me That's like I always come back around Huh? She said we always do We just heard
Starting point is 00:25:58 She sent you feet pics? She sent you a feedback? Brownback mornings Buenos days Good morning So I'm madro chona Hey hey hey Wake up wake up

Starting point is 00:26:25 It's priceless Nata I keep thinking about My little situation that I had at my hair so long yesterday. And I got to bring up. And I got to bring up
Starting point is 00:26:34 my baby girl, Anika. So she was there, and she does nails. And she was talking about how guys shadefish. And I was like, what? Because I have heard of, I'm telling you, like, girl conversations are amazing conversations. She's like,
Starting point is 00:26:50 no, like, we're talking about hip-hop and we're talking about certain artists. And she's like, I like this guy, but he's shadefishes. Shadefish. And it's when you wear like sunglasses. And you look fly But once the glasses are off
Starting point is 00:27:05 You do not look fly And I was like, I know the hatfish Right, with the hairline and all that supposedly But apparently that's a thing too Guys wearing their stunts She said that she had a crush on T-Pay Oh, you're wearing the big glasses You would always wear sunglasses
Starting point is 00:27:21 And then she saw without sunglasses She's like no, just that was working for me I guess like you start to think of what the eyes might look like Under there I've never heard of them. Let me neither. I learned a new term. Shout.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I'm going to go both ways. Yeah, but I think guys wear more shades. For sure. Yeah. True. The hat fish, shade fish, combo, man. The combo, the combination.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Combinations! And the beard fish. Don't forget that. See, here you are with, whoa, you wear makeup. Take your makeup off. Yeah. Take your beard off.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Let's see how that looks. Take your head off. We all see how Jose looks crazy right now. Kiding Jose. He's amazing. He's okay. Yeah. We've seen Nick without the beard.
Starting point is 00:28:04 I've never seen him without the beard. Oh, like little. Little. It's not a cool sight. Yeah, so why y'all do this like that? I wouldn't go for it again. Because we have to even the playing field. That's true.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Y'all have makeup. We have shades, hats, and beard. So we just see your nose. Yeah. How do you like that? And it takes less time to apply. Yeah. If you can grow it out.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Yeah. You can grow the same beard. baby boy over here no no no hats in glasses in 10 seconds like nothing yeah it takes 30 I tried to grow a beard like Vic once and I was like yeah never again like I'm not doing that it just made me worse yeah yeah it's all good man maybe one day but shout out to baby girl for that I was like that's cool yeah new turn I had never heard of that guys wore on to you yeah that's what we're in my night time in the club so yeah yeah exactly it makes sense yeah yeah sunny glasses at night well me it's because I'm on stage you know all the lights
Starting point is 00:28:58 to my face, you know. Oh my gosh. What did the girl that blocked you text you and say? That she didn't pay her phone bill. Why did you say that? Hold on. Hold on. She texted you, but she didn't pay her phone bill?
Starting point is 00:29:14 Welcome back to my phone bill. Yeah. And then she texted me, like, crying. Like, I didn't pay my phone bill. And I'm like, you better not pay it, bro. That's not, I didn't pay it. We just had that homie help line yesterday, bro. That's great news.
Starting point is 00:29:26 So, like, she doesn't hate you. she's just a little bit poor. I was just like, it was the first of the month. It was the first of the month. Yeah, that makes sense. No, but you know what? I forget to pay my phone bill.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Yeah, they just let it go late. All the time. I don't ever pay it on time. For what? Why would you just put reoccurring payment? No. It's not the point. On the drive over here,
Starting point is 00:29:43 I was like, what did I do? I don't remember what I did. Dan, you start going through things. You came in all like nervous, like, oh, I'm glad. He almost apologized? Yeah. I'm like, that happened before.
Starting point is 00:29:53 How many people do you think you should have excused to? I don't want to know. You're happier now, though. I'm going to go, yeah. You're happier? Yeah, sure. I like it.
Starting point is 00:30:04 I like it. You see his little smile, right? I was over here wondering what I did. Yeah, because before her text, he's just zoned out. Yeah. Hey, baby girl, fight with him off a show hours, please. He just zoned out, thinking, like, what did I do? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Did I say something? Did I forget something? That was all you, Greg. That was all you, Greg. I sent two texts, too. I was like, am I sure of my blog? No. Wait.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Did you send her a good morning text? and then it's that. Yeah. That's what I was like, I'm going to text a good morning. Didn't you guys say, okay. Waking and a block is the worst.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I was confused. Y'all is such hypocrite sometimes. What do you mean? Trust me out. Don't text a girl, good morning. Y'all were on that vibe for a while. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:30:40 things change. I'm not a big dog. Here we are. I'm a dog. You're a lap dog? You're a lap dog? A dog. A dog out of a dog.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I'm still a dog out here. Still barking. You're my man's best friend? I'm still looking just, I'm like a little labador. Just, you know, being low-key about it. It's okay, great.
Starting point is 00:30:58 I like that for you. I like that she's making you smile now. Like, I like that your whole day, the mood of your day depends on whether this girl likes you or not. That's like you know you're deep in it. That's crazy. So shout to her. I'm just hungry, man.
Starting point is 00:31:10 I'm hungry. I want to eat. Sure. Okay, you munch? All right. Who's shouting out? Who's shouting out? We got shout out.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Erica wants to shout out her kids. Jasmine and Anthony. Hey. Melly wants to shout out her kids, Bella and Leon. I'm going to say, yeah. Leon. I'm going to say Leon because it looks cooler. Leone, Leone.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Leone, there we're going to say Leone. If you're going to go Spanish, what I say in the right way. Claudia wants to wish her daughter, Sophie, a happy birthday from mom, dad, and her sister, Gianna. And then Daisy wants to wish her son, Tony, a happy belated birthday. He turned 13 yesterday. Oh. He's going to start locking the door soon. Shout out to Sophie and Tony.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Yeah. Happy birthday to you guys. Feliz Cumplaños. At thee. That's so sweet I'm glad for them To having good days Yeah
Starting point is 00:31:58 Laugh the door like he said All right Well Homey All right check this out homie You need a homie Or need some help We need your help
Starting point is 00:32:06 We need a line I mean phone line We got you for The homie help line Antonio Needs our help Antonio He says
Starting point is 00:32:17 So long story short Oh it's gonna be a long story Yeah Okay Yeah why does that happen Long story short And then it's never my paragraphs. All right, there's three paragraphs here.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Okay. So he said, it's been a year since me and my partner broke up. We have four beautiful kids. We were together for about 15 years, high school sweethearts. Nice. But we ended our relationship last year because we were going through financial situations. Because of my health, I brought up the conversation of, do you want to separate? And she would, with no hesitation, say yes.
Starting point is 00:32:53 there was a point where she told me she had clocked out of our relationship months ago. Damn. Even years ago. He said, actually, prior to our breakup, I never thought that that was true about women clocking out of a relationship before the man. But it kind of sucks in a way. I got blindsided because we've been hanging out with the kids and we've had moments where we hold hands. But the kids don't see us or we give each other a kiss here and there. But I know she's talking to somebody else.
Starting point is 00:33:21 So he said So what I'm trying to ask for is help How do you be okay with yourself to move on When you really care about somebody But I know we're not going to get back together Oh what is he knows so he needs help He threw a breakup Yeah he said now I've been told to go ahead and start dating
Starting point is 00:33:41 Or going to talk to girls But in reality I do But I end up ghosting them or just not even replying back Or just leaving them on red I guess I also have trust issues with women right now What do I do, Brownback? He wants to get out of that feeling of, like, her having no hold on him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:58 And he knows it's not going to work out, but he's just, like, still can't really get past. Yeah, holding on to it. Yeah. He wants to, though. That's a good thing. So let's help baby boy out. Guys going through breakups is so different than girls going through breakups. Oh, 100%.
Starting point is 00:34:11 I could probably have the answer for baby girls. Yeah. But what would you guys tell a dude? And this is, again, this is not someone that it's like, oh, break a wood or dog, oh, break a wood, man, all that. Like, you genuinely. got out of a relationship where you love that person and maybe you don't want to get over that person but you know you have to yeah what do you guys do yeah well i mean his biggest issue here is
Starting point is 00:34:30 that like they were high school sweetheart so he hasn't really gone out there and dated not yeah yeah i've seen life without like seeing the life like that right so it's like with that it comes of like now it's like he's basically starting over yeah he's learning himself again not much experience yeah yeah on how to date how to you're at how you're gregg how you were with like a girl in a relationship? No, he was ready to date. He never. He was out the relationship.
Starting point is 00:34:56 The thing is I've been dating since I was like 19. Yeah. And I haven't been single since then. Wow. So that's why I was like, I didn't know how to be single. And like be like alone. So it's like a whole new like process for me to learn. It's like, oh, like okay, I should probably learn how to be alone first and learn how to like my feelings.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Put my feelings first and then start dating. Yeah. Even for him, it's like that's 15 years. Yeah. You know, the dating scene and even just interaction, like, how to meet women is completely different. He just learned the term ghosting like two weeks ago. Yeah. He didn't even know what that was.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Yeah, this is a ghost. I think I ghosted them. He has to go through a demon time. Can you date other people while still caring about somebody? And I think that's his too, because I think at the point where you started dating or trying to figure it out, you've already like, you close the door on your last relationship. Yeah. Right? Yeah, you can.
Starting point is 00:35:47 So he still. Hasn't fully closed the door. So I think there's steps to this. We'll get to the dating part after we get to the getting over. Closing the door. Yeah, yeah, closing that door part with baby girl. Yeah, you could date because you could like find out like things. Because if you, no, guess what?
Starting point is 00:36:03 If you date and you still have feelings for her, you're still going to think about her. Yeah. So you got to figure out the feelings part before you even get into something else. Do you know what I'm saying? Or he needs to date without intention to like meet someone that he's going to be with. Yeah. I'll just date to pass time, get your mind off. things.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Yeah. It's been a year since they broke up. Yeah. Been one year. They have four kids. It's like a whole life. Oh, that makes a big difference. He doesn't even know what single Antonio is like.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Yeah. You know, he doesn't know himself in that way. Yeah. Dang. That's, it's going to be one good club night right there. A lot of bonnish pot. I don't know if that's answered. That's not the solution, bro.
Starting point is 00:36:45 You know what? I think he blames himself too for the breakup because he said they ended their relationship after they were going through financial troubles because of his health he said because of my health yeah and i and when that was happening he probably saw her kind of frustrated yeah he brought up do you want to separate down and she would say yeah yeah she's like thank you i'm out she wasn't happy yeah i mean it's a it's a lot to deal with for a long time he probably thought like this is ending because of me like what am i doing wrong like he like he has a very i think his self value is like Low.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Because of, it ended because of me, my health and all of that. Even him asking her, like, do you want to just leave me then? Yeah. Like, he must have been feeling really bad about him. Especially coming from a girl for 15 years and she says, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's going to hurt, like, bad.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I think even just the continuation of them sometimes acting like a relationship. That part. It just like, it prolongs like his healing. Yeah. He says, but it kind of sucks because in a way I got hit blindsided lately.
Starting point is 00:37:50 have been hanging out with the kids, had our moments where we hold hands, the kids don't see us, and we give each other a kiss here and there, but I know she's talking to someone else. So he knows she's moving on. Yeah. Damn. So what I'm trying to ask or ask for help, how do you be okay with yourself to move on when you really care about somebody? But I know that perfect, wait, but I know that perfect, we're not going to get back together.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I don't know. There's a lot of jumbling. It says perfect right there. It's just a process of forgetting. of forgetting if that makes sense. Oh, so he wants to do what we all want to do during a breakup. Just forget it all how ever happened.
Starting point is 00:38:26 He wants to, what is it? The Spotless Mine thing or whatever. The men and black little machine don't work. Yeah. Oh, man. How to say that in mind. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Let's help Antonio out. Or if you're going to do that too, we want to be sad with you. Antonio. 818. 52059. All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your head.
Starting point is 00:38:47 We need a line. I mean. Online. We've got you for the homie helpline. Antonio wants to move on but doesn't know how. Aw. He's like at that stage of Chris Brown where it's like, it's never the right time to say goodbye.
Starting point is 00:39:05 But I'm going to make the first move. I want you. Don't feel the way of what's felt about you. It's not you. It's me. Got to get around what I need. That's more like, again, I think Chris Brown in that song, is the one breaking up for her.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I think he's definitely the girl in that situation. I think the girl is telling him like, yeah, either way. He was with someone for 15 years, high school sweethearts, they have kids together. And recently, she's kind of like kissing him
Starting point is 00:39:33 and holding his hands. So he's like, they've been broken up for a year. So he's trying to figure out, like, how do I even start dating other people? I know she's talking to somebody else. How do I do it? How do I even feel okay with myself?
Starting point is 00:39:44 I feel like the relationship ended because of me because I had health issues. We had financial problems. I asked her if she wanted to separate and she was like, yes, please, let's do it. Let's do it now. Yeah. But he's just trying to figure out how to do it, how to go about it, you know? And I think people tell him to date as his homies, start dating, bro.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Like, just talk to a girl, give it a, give it a shot. But he's still not healed inside to where that's going to work. He's tried it. You know? He just doesn't reply to girls on red. Like he's still very much in that state of like he can't just shake it and act like nothing happened. Check it on.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Yeah. You got to put that future album on and just sit there and think about life. Future? Future is going to help? Future will help. Future can help. It can definitely help. I think future can help.
Starting point is 00:40:30 However, I do think that he would still have a like good relationship, co-parenting relationship with her. Yeah. So I don't know that that would help him. Because there's kids involved. You know, again, I know your point of reference is like how you got over things. Yeah. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:40:45 But you're still. But I don't know if you're really still. I'm not trying to that all. I'm not saying. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, let's see. I'm trying to see how he moves. He wants to move that way.
Starting point is 00:40:55 You can move that way. I don't think he wants to move that. I think he genuinely was like, hey, I don't want to feel bad about myself or the relationship. I stopped the co-parent with this lady. Like I, I'm feeling for her, all of that.
Starting point is 00:41:06 I think the, I don't know where I learned it. But supposedly, it takes half the time that you are with someone to get over them. Hell no, bro. They went together. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I've heard one day like that. I've read that. I've heard that before. I've heard if you're together. So if they were together 15 years, at least seven years of. Yeah, right. But you got to give that to yourself. Where's the stats at?
Starting point is 00:41:29 Where's that book? Let's write something in it. I don't know. I saw like some survey or some reporter or something. No, they're wrong. No, the thing is you got, well, Vic, how long does it usually take you to get over the two-month relationships? One month? Two years.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Two years? Two years? It takes doctors? Still not over them. It's still not. How does that work? I don't know. So how are we going to help Antonio?
Starting point is 00:41:48 I don't know. Okay, real question and it's going to get serious. And Vic, you were in a long-term relationship with the mother of your child. Yes. You guys, things didn't work out. You guys were amicable. We talked yesterday about how, like, we even managed after that first year to be like, look, let's just have peace, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:07 And when I look at your guy's relationship, I am so proud of just, and just the bystander, of seeing how you two co-parent and little Vic's so great. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. But how did you get to that point where feelings weren't involved or like you were able to move on and things as a dude? I could talk like on the girl's side, but how did you do that as a guy?
Starting point is 00:42:28 Well, first off, Antonio, you got to stop kissing her. Yeah. That's going to only hurt you in the long run because it's going to keep feelings going on the romantic side, you know, and you have to limit those as much as possible and stop viewing her in that way and start viewing her as just like the mother of your kids, a member of your family, but not somebody that you're, you know, trying to, like, continue with a future with, you know? And that's just going to, like, shoot yourself in the foot. Like, it might be good in the moment.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Right. But it's like, bro, you got to, like, get your head out of that place and just start focusing on, like, okay, we need to be cool. Who cares who she's dating? Let that go to. Yeah. It's going to happen. If it's not that guy, ask somebody else.
Starting point is 00:43:12 You know what I'm saying? Yeah, accept that part. She's going to be with something that. She wants happiness to. And just, you know, in that way, like now just focus on yourself. Make yourself happy. You know, you haven't learned yourself as an adult. As an adult.
Starting point is 00:43:26 You've been high school sweethearts with her. Yeah. So much of your identity is kind of what her. So what are you like? How are you? Exactly. And that's going to take a long time. And Loke is going to be harder than just falling back.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Falling back into this. And she's there. You know, the thing is they can't even not see each other anymore because they have kids together. So she's there And it's easy to be like Don't focus on who she's talking to But she'll probably bring it up
Starting point is 00:43:49 Well you'll start seeing someone Like you'll start seeing someone Come around the kids And things of that nature So that all of that is gonna hit you Yeah At different times And I think with dudes
Starting point is 00:43:58 And I appreciate your Your advice Vic I think with dudes too You guys feel like You gotta hurry up And get rid of the thoughts And feelings And emotions
Starting point is 00:44:06 Yeah that's like Don't even think But that's gonna just make them bigger You gotta write it out Like not for nothing But the girls The cry it out with all of that, like, and then we just, like, wipe our tears and just kind of go with it.
Starting point is 00:44:17 It's because you need to let that out, you know? And I just don't think we're built you guys. The guys need the guy version of that. Yeah. It's possible. It's fine. It's not crying. No, it's like, great dogs.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Try it. It might help. I cried once, day of. That's it. After that, boom. Just one. Just one. Just one.
Starting point is 00:44:34 Yeah, exactly. Yeah. After that, I went. He told me he was crying with this dog on his lap and the dog's like, am I taking a shower? And that's it. Like, after that was just like, all right, let's get. get to it. Like, boom, that's it.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Like, didn't cry. Having cried sins. Exactly. But that's like, but look at your eyes right now. Oh, yeah. Never cried since, I swear. I believe you, Greg.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Yeah, I never cried like in the moment. It's only like a random like, frustration will come on and then it'll just, you know. It'll trigger. Oh, whoa. Oh. Whoa. K.
Starting point is 00:45:04 K.W.R. Los Angeles Power 106. LA's number one for hip hop. We're inside the homie help line, helping our guy Antonio get over. Try to be okay with himself again. after a 15-year relationship with baby mama. Okay? What's that, my kid?
Starting point is 00:45:17 Yeah, and I was saying, I would even approach this, like, because he does say they are starting to, like, kiss and be a little more, like, show more emotion. Yeah. I would even, it could even potentially not giving you any hopes, but working your favor if you start fading away from that and not allowing that,
Starting point is 00:45:34 because that might make her be like, yo, like, I want this dude again, you know? Like, it might trigger that. No, high hope. Oh, I know. I guess you. But there's a little bit of playing games in that and I get you. And it's to, it might be to put you on the upper hand, but I don't, I think that's still
Starting point is 00:45:51 going to be toxic. In the long run. You're still going to hurt yourself. If you have that hope in your mind. Because then let her want to get with you now and then there's going to be some bitterness in the relationship and then baby mama drama. Yeah. I would, I would ask him to ask her, what's up?
Starting point is 00:46:05 Hey, you're kissing me. You're holding my hand. Like, what's been a year? What's up? And you got another man? Like. Yeah. I'm seeing your dating or whatever.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Like, I just need to know now because I don't want to fall into it. Let, like, it's so crazy. Communication is so crazy. Wow. But, like, like, vocalize that. What was that? I like, you know what? Hold back and do that.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Like, just communicate with her. Be like, look. What's that? Oh, God. All right. Maybe that's not the right. Maybe that's not the right option. Wait, don't you need a degree for that?
Starting point is 00:46:35 No, you do not. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I was going to get that degree, but then, like, there was no part. Is that? with like numbers or something like that?
Starting point is 00:46:43 I mean, who's on the lines? Forget my advice. Who's on the line. We have Art from Pomona in line three. Art from Ptown. What's up, Art? Hey.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Go to Art. How are you? What are you? I'm good, I'm good. You guys all have some good. All right. Hello? Yeah, you're chopping up.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Oh, my bad. No, you do. So I think though, like, the one thing that I was kind of taking from all this when I was listening to it is the fact that like the fact that he's a father for you know and um I think any goal for any parent right is to have your children have both of the kids in the household like I think that that's a big part of his hurt and what he's feeling right aside from you know losing his high school sweetheart um and I think a big part is it it's kind of what Vic said like he's got to stop he's got to stop with like kind of half step in it he can't be kissing their holding hands like playing that part but then she's not she's not fully into it. it like he has to really uh he has to really allow himself to start that healing process and by doing that it's not going it's not there no more you know and once he starts that and starts allowing himself to feel that um and go through that process then then the next step would be just to focus on on
Starting point is 00:47:58 improving himself because at the end of the day they were together for they were together for a good you know sometimes just like any other relationship you kind of lose yourself a little bit you kind of get comfortable things like that and i think that for him it's just the most important thing is just focusing on getting back to himself. And in any way that he feels, you know, and finding value in himself first, because at the end of the day, like, like he, I guess he keep,
Starting point is 00:48:26 I don't know what will happen with, with him and her, but he could still be the best father to those kids, you know, and be the best version of himself. But I think that, yeah, like what you guys kind of said, it's super important that he just kind of feels that and goes through that process because he can use that. He can use that to kind of improve himself
Starting point is 00:48:42 and tie that to something. else, you know, tie that to something, something better for himself. Yeah. I know he said that he had, you know, health issues and things like that. Maybe, maybe that was a part of whatever else, but that he can get back to himself. He's just got to really focus on that and use that, you know? Yeah. I think what he wants to know is like, we can say like put value yourself and like focus on you.
Starting point is 00:49:07 But he's like, what does that mean? Yeah. Like, what is the step of value to myself? Am I $2? Am I with $100? Like, what is that, you know? Yeah. I think he wants to know like the direct, like, because we have this.
Starting point is 00:49:17 these broad terms, you know? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But it's like, what does that mean? He really needs the like guy, the instruction. He needs to fix his foundation because the whole reason that... He's like, how do I fix my foundation? Yeah, no, it's a foundation.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Do I go to Sephora or do I lay cement? What do you need? Yeah, a big part of why his wife wanted to leave him is because, you know, financial issues, health issues. It's like, those are things that you can work on. That's what he thinks. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:42 So if you tell them. That's also his assumption. Yeah. Because guess what he could do? ask her he didn't ask her what was it because to him
Starting point is 00:49:56 it was during a time where they were going through that and so he asked do you want to separate and she said yes but he took it as like she wants to separate because I'm unhealthy
Starting point is 00:50:05 and I have health problems and I have it and it's like no you can ask her but he knows he's not rich and he knows he's not buff yeah exactly come on well he's still not and she's kissing him if he was both
Starting point is 00:50:15 yeah but that's because you know, sometimes it just gets lonely. So if you tell him, get this bird up king, he's like, what's that? Getting that? Where do I go for the bread? But these are the terms. Like, you know it'll be okay? Just like, you know?
Starting point is 00:50:28 Look, do 100 push-ups and do daily trading. Or you could talk to her. You could literally be like, that's what this whole thing, you know, they say, when they say closure, it's not just smacking him cheeks. It's literally like, hey, let's have this conversation. I need to let some stuff out. and I would like clarity. Like, you don't know how much clarity you'll get when just hearing the other person out.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Hearing the other person out about their feelings or, like, what went wrong, or, like, how to move on from this. To give you a step by step, like, I don't like how you did this. When you say it sounds good when we say, let me, uh, yeah, whatever you want, whatever you want. Here, let me tell you.
Starting point is 00:51:07 You want to kiss, okay, you want to kiss, yeah. You want to go. You want to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you walk out and be like, damn, my fail. I miss us too. What about you feeling?
Starting point is 00:51:18 Well, Lati's saying in guy language, Antonio, is get your money up, not your funny up. You heard of that. Oh, my God. It's super easy. Like, hey, can we talk? Yeah. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Look, I know we're broken up and we still have these kids. To be honest with you, I really still feel for you. And when you kiss me and you do this stuff, you make me think I have a chance. And it's really getting in the way of me moving on. I need to know, like, should we? still try to do something? Or is it like is it over? Is it done within your eyes?
Starting point is 00:51:50 You might be confused too. That's probably why you're kissing me and you're hugging up on me too. But then can you tell me what I did wrong in the relationship? Because I'm blaming myself. Huh. And so I hope I'm reporting that you phone. Yeah, I don't remember how she said. I hope you're using this.
Starting point is 00:52:06 But it's not coming at her. Like even if you leave that conversation, at least you know what was the reason? Like, what was that reason? Yeah. So that you can, because right now you're just up in the air with everything. There's no clarity. Yeah. There's no clarity.
Starting point is 00:52:21 It's just foggy. Yeah. Every time she tries to kiss them, just kiss her on her forehead. No, just walk away. Just like, chill out, homie. Because kissing is, like, she's telling you something with that, you know? Like, what are we? And she's not doing it in front of the kids to be like, yeah, we have to show a good example to the kids of how people can be separated but still be all macular.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Yeah. Because, again, she might be confused too. Like, I don't know what I want. All right. Can you tell me what went wrong? like we're trying to fix this? Exactly. Y'all can do it.
Starting point is 00:52:50 Yeah, because maybe in her head it's like, when you talk, you guys can do it. You guys can do it. I'd rather her like tell me like, look, this is everything you did wrong. You want her to do it. Yes, tell me. Tell me. Then say, hey, I want you to tell me.
Starting point is 00:53:04 A better man for the next girl. Say, hey, can you tell me so that I can be better? Oh. Can you tell me so I can be better? Leave out of it. Oh, well, that's just the reality. She has to accept it too. Well, yeah, wait, yeah, they're not together anymore,
Starting point is 00:53:18 so it is for the next girl. Yeah. Help me be the best thing for my next. You also have to be able to have the conversation and not be peddy with in the conversation. She's the one dating somebody else. Shouldn't you just want to be better, period? What was that? Shouldn't you just want to be better, period?
Starting point is 00:53:29 Yes. But for other people as well. She's dating somebody else. She wants to kiss up on me? Like, no. Get out of here. All right. Well, he's not going to get over here then.
Starting point is 00:53:37 No, no, no. Let me stop interjecting. I'm sure we have another quality. He's a little dog right now. Who's on the line, baby girls? Sweet, baby, Jesus. Letting, we have Evelyn. Damn, I ask where she's from.
Starting point is 00:53:47 On line five. Evelyn. Evelyn. Hey, Evelyn, where are you from, girl? Belin. Los Angeles. Let's go, Los Angeles. What part, baby girl?
Starting point is 00:53:56 South Central. Come on. Los Central. When you said Los Angeles, I was like, oh, I guess she's from South Central. South Central. So Antonio is probably looking for another girl himself, and the girl still wants to be with him, but the problem is financially.
Starting point is 00:54:11 having financial problems right now. And I believe that that's the way a woman asks when she's financially in trouble because she has four kids. It must be hard for her to take care of the house, all the bills. So she's probably having financial problems. She still wants to stay with him, but he's acting that like he has medical issues. So there's a problem there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:37 I think it's a little bit confusing because he's saying like he's dated. people and he don't like dating he ghost them he goes them so he's not and all of that and he's still caring about her like he's still like illusionado for her a little right yeah and those four kids are their kids together yeah yeah so just just point of reference and he had medical problems like yeah he doesn't yeah he's not acting like it yeah he didn't act like he had bad problems look at him I'm all sick look at him over that guy I think on diabetes hey I know a guy like that plus we got Irie's yeah I can be sick yeah my can't be sick yo No lie.
Starting point is 00:55:12 I was sick the other day and it was like, yeah, you're not sick. Will help me with this? I'm like, I'm sick. Your girl? Yeah. It's because when she's sick, she still works. Yeah. Be a man, Maximo.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Be a man. God made it like that, bro. He didn't make me like that. You mean you order her like that? Oh. Let me have Ivan from the landline one. Ivan. Ivan.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Hey, hey, good morning, Brownback. Good morning. Ivan. Ivan, how you doing? I'm doing well and I can, I cannot tell you how much I can really. relate to this story. I personally was married for 14 years to my high school sweetheart and the best advice, you guys touch on so many good pointers, but the best advice I can give him is this. Like when we say you need to learn how to be with
Starting point is 00:55:55 yourself, quite honestly, after a 14 year relationship and two kids, my high school sweetheart, what you also said is very important. But it took, I would say it took about two years for me to actually sit down with her and discuss. And say, hey, what happened? What did I do wrong? How do I fix myself in the process of fixing myself, of learning to be by myself? And, of course, the kids, that's your priority. You want to be, and you are going to be there for your kids.
Starting point is 00:56:27 You're going to be the best version of yourself for your kids. But ultimately, to moving on to another relationship, I think that was my biggest mistake. The mistake I've made was, after hearing from her, hey, you did this wrong, you did this wrong, you still have some attributes that you bring in to your new relationship. And unfortunately, that also failed. After a couple of years, I said, you know, I need this. I need my family. I need to have that feeling of having my family, having a home, coming home to somebody,
Starting point is 00:56:55 sharing everything with somebody else. Yeah. And at the end of the day, those attributes, excuse me, those attributes ended up being on another failed relationship. Right. Like you carry, you didn't fix it. You carried it over. and that led to, or at least you would assume that that also led to the next relationship not working out.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Correct. And again, it's just not when we say, you know, and yeah, all you guys have touched very good pointers. And Bigcast said it. You know, your homies can start, oh, just date, just do this and just go out. And it's not, it's not that simple. You, you, someone also said, you know, we, I've, I've been with the same person for over 14, 15 years. I don't know how to date. I don't know how to approach somebody. I don't know how to talk to. to a new woman or not bring the same, like I said, the same attributes and the same attitude to a new relationship and say, hey, all right, let me be this new person. It's difficult and it does take time. So you're right. The book that you actually mentioned, I don't know the name exactly, but I personally read that book as well that says it takes half. The time of the relationship.
Starting point is 00:57:58 See, you fools? Yeah, it took me seven. It took about seven years to be honest, to be six, seven years for you to learn to be on a new relationship. And, and yeah, and, You either, and you either go both ways. You either find a new relationship and everything's working out fine, or you realize, you know what, I'm good by myself right now. Right. I'm good. I'm doing good.
Starting point is 00:58:18 I'm doing well. I can, I can, you know, you can date, you can go out, you can talk to people. But at the end of the day, your ultimate purpose, especially when there's kids, when there's kids involved, when there's kids involved, your mentality or priority goes more towards your children and because you're still raising children, especially, you know, younger kids. and or you say okay I'm good by myself I can stick around I can do this and if you know the opportunity comes around
Starting point is 00:58:44 then why not let's try somewhere else right I think again the best advice I can give Anthony is that Ivan after those seven years when you finally got over her are you like did you just wake up like man I was tripping over that like what is that
Starting point is 00:59:02 that moment what's his goal what can he look forward to you know what it's like like i said you i you look forward to you know you first of all you work at your your your your like every everyone everyone else you work at your just with your kids but once you have that settle down you know you wake up and you're like oh excuse me this ain't my weekend that's your weekend sorry yeah yeah you just start to enjoy that that time with yourself or that life that you have independent of that person and that was like the assigned to you like, ooh, I'm over her.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Yeah, correct. And like I said, is this, is this learning to know how to be, and I'm going to be quite honest. We as men do not know how to be with ourselves. We do not know that. We do not learn that, especially when you start dating in a very young age. Again, this is this high school sweetheart. You spend in 14, 15 years with a team person.
Starting point is 00:59:57 All you know is like with a partner. Yeah. Right. You, you've learned a certain routine, a certain thing, and with that person, and you learn to share that thing with that person. And here, again. So are guys the true garden hose? Can you guys stop being garden hose, please?
Starting point is 01:00:12 Garden hose, what is that? I don't want to say the real words, so I'm saying garden hose. Oh, oh. Yeah, can you guys stop being that? And learn how to be a solo manguera. I like to water the plants, though. Yeah, well, yeah. What happens when girls call us to water plants?
Starting point is 01:00:25 Water is life. Just be a manguera. Do it like Drake. Anyway. Yes. What am I going to do with my garden snake? That's so nice. I blame myself.
Starting point is 01:00:38 I blame myself. Remember how you were crying that one night when you guys were trying to try and all your dogs? Yeah, I do. I do. I think it took him two years, but he finally had the conversation to be like, at least to know what happened.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Right. You guys got, because you guys go through the breakup and you only have your experience of the breakup. Yeah. You know? We won't hear the other side to be. You know, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:02 You know that you like always did. Yeah. And you all know that. someone puts that mirror to your face allow that person to put that mirror to your face we don't know the other side because we're blocked you are blocked you are blocked you are blocked you are this man with the four kids is not Antonio is mad no he's another smooching Antonio say with me talk to her talk they are talking they know they're holding hands and they're not making out about that. Yeah. Have that hard conversation.
Starting point is 01:01:29 How are you? Poor thing. Hey! Sambra Sala with Angie. Okay. Did you guys watch Barbie the movie last year? Of course. Everybody did.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Okay. Did you guys like it? As the guys. Yeah. Did you guys like it? Let me hit out. No, this is, you liked it. It was cool.
Starting point is 01:01:51 You guys didn't feel less of a man because it was very like, who, girl power. When they were being mean to the guys and they, like, evicted them out of their home, I felt kind of sad. Yeah Yeah And then how they treat the Allen Oh sorry sorry Go ahead How they treated Allen
Starting point is 01:02:06 It was messed up All the further Further I get everyone Treated Allen Both the Ken's and the Barbies Treated Allen Yeah but I only saw it from the man perspective Oh okay okay
Starting point is 01:02:15 Seems like you really like this movie Vick Yeah It was a good movie It was a good movie Bro it got nominated for an Oscar I thought it was cool Yeah So when this happened
Starting point is 01:02:23 This little C You guys didn't feel Alright Ken you're on Let's beach off Anyone who wants to beat him off Has to beach me off first I will beat both of you off
Starting point is 01:02:30 at the same time. But you don't even know how to beat yourself off. How are you going to beat yourself off? Why are you getting to beat yourself off? Nobody's going to beat anyone off. This wasn't emasculating. No, yeah. Sometimes you just need to have a beach off with the boys.
Starting point is 01:02:44 That's exactly how it sounded with me, Vic, and Maximar, and Vegas. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever beaching off means. Or where they say it goes. Or even this learned. The opening. Barbie has a great day every day.
Starting point is 01:02:57 But Ken only has a great day if Barbie looks at him. that was fine right i mean sometimes your your world does revolve around your girl yeah you know what i'm saying not every day but isn't it sometimes a lot of days i'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie world yeah this is Barbie world yes yeah that makes sense well apparently chakita and her two boys hated the movie because yeah yeah chakira yes chakira mrs hips online la la la la la la la yes she was saying that it's very emasculating She actually went on to She was on the cover of a lore magazine And they asked her like
Starting point is 01:03:34 Oh, how did you think about Barbie And she actually said My sons absolutely hated it They felt that it was emasculating And I agree to a certain extent I'm raising two boys I want them to feel powerful too While respecting women
Starting point is 01:03:49 She's like she continues And she's like I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women Without robbing men of their possibility to be men How old are her kids? Her kids are like I want to say like 10 or so. They're still little.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Oh, there's still little? Yeah, they're not. To an extent I get like what she's trying to say. Yeah. I mean, obviously in today's time, like saying anything like that could always be tricky. But yeah, I mean. She's getting backlash for it.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Yeah. She is getting backlash for it because they're saying like you miss the whole point of the movie. Like it's not even supposed to be making you man feel any type of way. Because usually it's the other way around. Yeah. In movies. In movies. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:29 that's why I would want to like agree with her but then I have to be real myself and be like okay it's one movie versus a billion of like the way they make men like all powerful and you know the Marvel movies and they can do anything they can fly and they can like you know save the world and then sometimes they have girl characters that just like kind of help out you know and it's like it's not even it's not fair or are the damsel in distresses or are the girlfriend so it's like this kind of flip the roles yeah it and it's like I think she's not she's just saying she understands her sons. And that's my, because she's like, I get them to an extent.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Like, even she's saying, like, it's not that crazy. But people are just taking the part of saying that she has to like Barbie and that she missed the whole context of, the whole movie concept. And it's also a choice to go watch it. It's like, you don't have to take your boys to watch it. You know, you can't watch it yourself. There's plenty of parts in the movie that were also like pro-d-dry. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 01:05:22 When they go to Century City? Yeah, yeah. Excuse me. Sir, do you have the time? You respect me. Sorry, no, do you know what time it is? No, I do not. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Why didn't Barbie tell me about patriarchy? Which, to my understanding, is where men and horses run everything. You guys are clearly not doing patriarchy very well. No, we're doing it well. We just hide it better now. So they did touch on it. Well, the whole movie is that. It's essentially like if the world was flipped and it's like the girls,
Starting point is 01:06:01 got the, I guess, the privilege over dudes. Assuming that girls get, it's the opposite in real life. Yeah. So then he goes to real life and sees that guys get privilege over girls. I think it's like a good mix and they made sure they did that. It's in the best way they could as Barbie dolls. Yeah. And Ken dolls.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Oh, yeah, the dolls. Yeah. Because imagine if they actually went with the script of like how the Simpsons did it when they were saying this part. It's Barbie. Come on, Stacy. have waited my whole life to hear you speak. Don't you have anything relevant to say?
Starting point is 01:06:38 Girl! Imagine the whole movie. It was like that. No one was like, hey, those dolls and the Simpsons are un-feminizing girls. Yeah, they just played along with it at the Simpsons, but then Barbie flipped it. Yeah. I'm just picturing her, like, little Spanish kids being like, No, me guista, Mom.
Starting point is 01:06:59 Goose to Barbie. You're not going to clown little Shakira's kid, bro. And they can't soccer ball with your head, bro. You stop talking about my stepkids. I don't think Barbie is not for kids, not for boys. I wouldn't say don't take boys to watch it. But I also understand the gist of the theme that is Barbie. That is the concept of Barbie.
Starting point is 01:07:25 On the surface, it was like it's one movie. But if you really listen to the things they're saying, it's a little deeper meaning than what it is. Yeah, it goes over a lot of kids' heads in general. Yeah. Like the conversation. Yeah. They just want to beach off.
Starting point is 01:07:39 You've got to go home and figure it out how to beach themselves. Yes. The patriarchy stuff, like kids aren't really going to understand that. No, they're not. No. All right. All right. That's it for Sambra Salab.
Starting point is 01:07:51 I'm Ani from Brownback Morning's. I'm Power 106. And keep it here because we got our guy, Ben Balak. Ben Baler. He's going to come through, tie jewelry, talk. Kick out. Hip hop. Talk, L.A.
Starting point is 01:08:00 It's Power 106. Power 106, Brownback mornings. Good morning, y'all. It always feels good when we're able to bring in not just Angelino, not just a legend, but someone that has influenced you even right now listening, whether you know it or not, and you probably do know it. We got Ben Baller in here. How back in morning? What's up? What's up, y'all?
Starting point is 01:08:20 What's going on? Ben, I was just talking to you off there. You've had 5,000 trillion lives. And one of them was actually interning at Power 106? Yeah, man. You know, way back, I was ready to do what. Ever, right? My best friends still to this day.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Like, you know, I have a very small group of friends. And people come in and out of my life. But my boy, DJ Homicide had a show here. And me, him, rest in peace, DJ Am, we had a crew called AMC, AirMax crew, right? I think a lot of times people forget that I was a DJ. People don't realize that I was the first DJ to have a billboard in Las Vegas.
Starting point is 01:08:52 And I mean, I was the one doing all this stuff before AM, before Diplom, before all these people. And, like, there was doors that were open. DJs weren't getting paid certain things, right? It took until 2017. That point, I've been a jeweler for 12 years. It took until 2017 for me to realize I was a jeweler. It took that point to realize I wasn't a DJ.
Starting point is 01:09:11 I wasn't a famous DJ anymore. I wasn't a music executive. And I had already just won my first, you know, award as jeweler of the year, a global award that's from China to Switzerland to whatever. So like when I think about- But your identity was still 100% here. But then your jewelry career starts when? Like at what point are you like, okay, let me get into this or this looks flyer, this is how you said something?
Starting point is 01:09:36 I retired from DJing right when Serato had came out and there was a lot of errors and people like, you know, it's a funny story with DJ. And he was like super into it techie. Like, oh, this is amazing. I'm like, something about not bringing crates to the club throws me off and he's like, all right, you're the only one, bro. We don't want to carry crates. We don't like this back problem. It got to a point where I was telephoning my DJ sets in at the, at the gym. Dragonfly, LX.
Starting point is 01:09:59 I was pre-recording my mixes onto a CD. And I'd bring an 8-inch television. I had a security guard, watched the door, no request, no, no tape. And I was shouting out people I'd know be in the club, and I was mixing, and I just play Xbox. And I knew at this point, I just hated doing, because it was just, I was bored,
Starting point is 01:10:18 because I couldn't play what I wanted to play because people would get off the floor if I started playing dipset. I'm playing for five people this time, you know? Dancewood clear, and five people would be like, I would have been one of those five people I love to say. So, you know, at that point,
Starting point is 01:10:33 I knew I couldn't just leave without a backup plan. But I just became a millionaire. So I said, look, become a millionaire. My marriage has been called off. I've been engaged twice, married once. And I had a lot of soul searching to do. So I just traveled around at the time
Starting point is 01:10:46 and still kind of for a very long time. My mentor was Mr. Cartoon. And he kind of guided me through things. And at a certain point, we bumped heads a lot. And he didn't fire me, but he kind of told me in the most kindest way. Yeah. But he meant it.
Starting point is 01:10:59 Yeah. And he said, hey, homie, you're too badass to be working with me for me. Like, dog, I'm going to keep it 100. Like, you got to do something on yourself on your own. And I was like, bro, am I too much for everyone here? I would be wasting having you here as my right-handed man. Like, dog, you got to go venture out. So I traveled, everything else, connected with my cousin, thought about it.
Starting point is 01:11:20 And then, yeah, that's where the jewelry career started. Wow. Ben, when you were with Mr. Cartoon, was it tattooing? Was it artwork? What was it? So pretty much it was more creative. Got it. And then he was starting a store called The Last Laugh.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Now, I wanted to open. I was thinking, what am I going to do with the money I have? Got it. So he opened the store right in the hood, like literally right next to Hotel Cecil. He built out a beautiful store. And he was like, look, I want us to be a destination one-stop spot. You can get your haircut here. You can buy some merch.
Starting point is 01:11:49 You could get a bunch of fresh white pro clubs, get T's, get some Air Force Ones. He had a Nike deal because at the time his Air Force Ones came out. Oh, yeah. And it was just like a kind of thing. also culture and he had like the ice cream chuck whatever and he was just like look I'm just have the store here you know maybe you could run this and whatever I'm like bra I'm down and then when it got down to like really after the big party and everything he's like god I don't want to see no wasted talent right and you're solidified you have you know a set uh asaf ferr you know bin baller did the chain
Starting point is 01:12:17 like you know it's like stuff like that what's your mindset when you hear those shoutouts and you hear songs like that while you're out you know I forget that I'm in certain songs and yesterday we're talking about so the pusha tea Drake beef that was the hardest position I've ever been in my life
Starting point is 01:12:36 in the rap game because one I love Terrence me and Pusha that's my dog and the reason why this story is gonna make sense and I'll bring it back together
Starting point is 01:12:46 when Drake didn't have any money I was picking up at the airport Drake was going to Canada to pick up money from clients of mine and bring it to me flying economy you know what I pick up
Starting point is 01:12:55 LAX with 40 and it's like Like, you know, I'm taking Drake, getting him a car. He's like, hey, his master was a good restaurant? I'm like, yeah, that's cool. You need it. Like, what's up? I'll plug you in, these type of things.
Starting point is 01:13:04 For him to stop a show at Staples and the forum, and I'm walking to the backstage because I know it's his last song, he stops the show for seven, eight minutes to dedicate when I had no money. 07, 08, oh, 9. This man drove around the city. This man did everything. This man just bring me weed in my hotel room. This man, yo, bro, everyone stand up and give a letter to Ben Ball. And I'm kind of like, this is crazy.
Starting point is 01:13:26 And now I'm on the ballot. you know, whatever, bring it up. And we have so many, so many moments together. I have two genuine, no, hundreds of genuine moments with both these guys. Right. So when the beef happened, I was like, man, I'm staying out of this. Yeah. Because that's the best thing for me to do.
Starting point is 01:13:40 But staying out of it also damaged both my relationship with both of them. I'm good with both of them, but I'm saying I know it was like a weird bruise. And I couldn't get in. But the reason why I'm bringing this up is yesterday I was talking to my boy about the whole beef because the Kendrick and all the stuff going on. And push the tea was. doing a show at House of Blues. So I pick him up.
Starting point is 01:14:00 He's staying at the Sofitelle right across from Beverly Center. I drive him, it's like a straight shot. It's like eight minute drive. We get to House of Blues. Walee is the main act. Now Puscher was an opening act while it was the big act at the time. And he was hot, whatever. Walee had a song called Chain Music.
Starting point is 01:14:16 I forgot I was in the song. Yeah. But Push, this is his job. That's his profession. He has to know what he does. So, you know, he listens to other rappers. And so when we got on stage, I'm sitting on the side of the stage. And I'm thinking like Push is going.
Starting point is 01:14:27 gonna say something, whatever, he's wearing chains, and he's rapping whatever, and then he walks off, and this is the kind of person that push a tea is. He goes, hey, bro, you know, I don't want to shout you on on stage, and I was like, hi, tripping, it's cool. I don't want to take Wale's moment. I saw Wally's set list, and he has chain music, so he's going to bring you out. And I'm like, he didn't ask me until he goes, he's bringing you out, dog. And then that night, I ended taking a chain up my neck and throwing the crowd. And so I saw a dude, I saw a dude catch the chain at the back row. And as he caught the chain, he was coming down. And I saw four.
Starting point is 01:14:59 Oh, my God. And he got it, whatever. And I remember Wale's saying, man, Ben, don't send me an invoice for that chain, bro. And I was like, no, no, no. But I forget that I'm in songs, right? Like, even Drake not that long ago. And it did those moments where you hear it.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Yeah, yeah. You know, even Drake has put me in so many different songs, songs that didn't release songs that did. And then even, like, parts where he's like, you know, where he used my government name. He's like, I got the Benny Yang chains rubbing, never said, you know. Ben, Boller, it's cool to have you in here.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Like, anything, like, I'm just trying to fixed by you and it's a trip that like you don't just understanding how big this life is like you said I wasn't here to make friends but I am here to leave a mark and that mark has been left 10 times over Ben Baller and it's just like I really appreciate the opportunity to come on here and tell you here on Power 106 where you've had a history too that it's still going and you know and I know again life has been tough like I've seen you go through what you have been relationship is super important you know then that affects your relationship with your kids and just how you move on as a man like a breakup can really
Starting point is 01:15:57 you up you know and just to see how you've pivoted you've maintained and you're still you can I say one thing if we're gonna close this out and it's important I think a lot of people I was a huge Oscar Deloia fan then I realized I started noticing certain things but then I watched his documentary and that documentary
Starting point is 01:16:13 fucked me up golden boy and he said something that killed me and it said he said I pushed away the people that love me the most and like he went through his things whatever divorce whatever yeah and the Mexican Compuini was killing him because he's playing golf.
Starting point is 01:16:27 And like George Lopez, one who put the golf clubs in my hands, right? Like I love golf. And people wonder, why are you playing this game? Why he does? And I was like, I don't think you realize it. Schoolboy Q said something on my show and he said, hey, bro, you learn a lot about yourself when you're on a golf course by yourself. One, no one's there to help you.
Starting point is 01:16:44 It's not a team sport. It's about integrity. If you cheat, you're just cheating yourself. And there's so many parallels. I could go for five hours about the parallels in life. So one, it's going to humble you. But when I was going through my divorce and I was in the darkest period of time, and I never, ever told anybody this.
Starting point is 01:17:00 But it was the first time ever I thought about taking my own life. It was that deep while that dark tunnel I went through. And I went to golf and I was like, look, when Christmas came and I was with my family, I was with my kids and I was like, I can't believe I'm still standing, right? Yeah. But the parallels of golf, when people understand, one, it's not very accessible. That's another goal of mine is trying to bring it to the hood because it's so expensive. You can play basketball, $8, get some shorts, whatever, boom, golf.
Starting point is 01:17:25 thousand bucks probably you know what i mean 800 it's not cheap you know or maybe for kids it's like four or five but it's still a lot of money if you can and you can figure out how to play the game that will help you with so much adversity in your life and i think that's the thing that saved me and that's why i'm so addicted to it now come on look ben baller ben baller man thank you so much for coming through keep it here's power 106 scrolling with the homie gregoryo hey letty what's a Finally, baseball season is here And we're all excited You don't sound excited
Starting point is 01:18:00 That's not very unexcited Podre season is here You have your little Padreys hat on today I see it as you I'm ready to add a championship patch To the side of it this year One day honey, one day if you get the customization You can do that anytime at Litz
Starting point is 01:18:14 I'm not going to pay for it Because there's gonna be hats made with it I think they might sound at Etsy Yeah I can make it for you There's like a lot of like imaginary things you could get Yeah Do you mean like an official patch
Starting point is 01:18:24 official championship patch. I'm gonna see it this year. How many does you guys have? Don't worry about it. How many do they have? I don't think they've ever won't. Oh, you guys have it? That's what I'm saying, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 01:18:37 That's a good goal. That's a good goal. It's our year. It's our year. It's our year. This year is our year and we're taking it. San Diego Padres. Last week you had a little cute Dodger rap that you showed us.
Starting point is 01:18:48 It was not cute. It was really cool. It was really cool. Jose was his name. Shout out Jose. Doze. Doze. You know him?
Starting point is 01:18:54 You follow him? Cool, yeah. You're a fan. We have our own Padres rap now. Oh, there's a Padres rap? Padres, San Diego. And we allow this? Which one are you supposed to allow this?
Starting point is 01:19:03 I'm not. You know what's going to allow us? They like to copy us anyway. Copy our old players. Funny. Listen to this right here. San Diego. Let's do this.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Philly going down to yellow and brown. That's what's in. Padres on the loose. Let's go, goose. that's what's in Bryce gonna lose And man he's gonna cruise That's what's in
Starting point is 01:19:33 Bars That's what's in Padres championship this year 2024 going down That's so sad It can be true I just gotta I want to crawl under my desk
Starting point is 01:19:43 Like you have to say You have to know that that's not good dog It's alright The fact that people are encouraging him Makes it even worse I'm getting tagged in this because everybody knows Those eight One of the grace and there's no debate
Starting point is 01:19:53 Hey there's gonna hate so we let him Hey, dodger glue dripping like lemonade. We let the season and meridate. We will eliminate. Pitchers going to penetrate. Show her, Otani. Go let the bomb. Dent.
Starting point is 01:20:02 We got your Shinovo. Y'allu. Take a photo. Hey. Dodger dogs in the building. With dodging girls are water feeling. Everybody. That's cute.
Starting point is 01:20:11 But what they say, the great goose got me feeling loose or what I was. That's original right there. That's a bar. No, it's a bar. Listen to this. It's really going down to yellow and brown. That's what's it. That's what's in.
Starting point is 01:20:25 Right there. Padre's on the loose. Let's go, goose. Bar. Okay. So what I'm about to do is what usually happens to you guys during the playoffs. Uh-huh. Get out.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Get out of here, brother. I'm proud of this rap. You should be, brother. That says a lot. It explains so much. It explains so. Was that a prank? It sounds like.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Was that a prank? Yeah. He's a day later. And a dollar short. Yeah. I was going to say. Padre fans. It sounds like with Greg raps.
Starting point is 01:20:54 It was bad. That's what's not in. That was malarkey. Yeah. All right, bro. Those are, like, people that you party with, like, over there? Like, that's the type of fans. What?
Starting point is 01:21:05 You guys are you guys going to be rapping the same way? No, no, I'm asking a serious question. Are those, like, the fans? Oh, yeah, those are the fans I party with. Those are die hard right there, Padre fans. Wow. Thank you for showing us that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:15 I'll come back to this at the end of the season. Small wins. Small wins. Small wins. It's going to be big wins this year. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I love you, hallo. Hell! I don't even go here. Shout love to my near friend. The James, you're a filthy animal. What you're thinking it?
Starting point is 01:21:33 Yeah, we're sadded. What's up, Maximil? So, Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the movie Billy Madison. Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavan? In Billy Madison. Neither names rings that. Shooter McGowan, the ultimate villain. Yes, he's the ultimate villain.
Starting point is 01:21:53 He's the bad guy in. Billy Madison. So if we don't, whoever doesn't know. Let's go ahead. Billy Madison was one of. Happy Gilmore. Happy Gilmore. Oh, yeah, sorry.
Starting point is 01:22:03 Okay. Okay. Are you confused because you're confusing us? So confusion right now. Adam Sandler, you know, everyone knows he's a famous actor. He's a screenwriter. That guy we know. That guy we know.
Starting point is 01:22:16 Okay. So Billy, uh, Billy Madison is one of his biggest movies. Happy Gilmore. No, no, Billy Madden. I mean, happy Gilmore. Oh, my God. Okay, let me... Why he's getting confused is because
Starting point is 01:22:28 Adam Sandler's production company is Happy Madison. So he combined his two most successful movies at the time to make this, and he keeps getting confused because he's malfunctioning as a robot machine. What's going on is the Happy Gilmore Madison, Big Daddy. Adam Sandler, yes.
Starting point is 01:22:46 One of his biggest movies was Happy Gilmore. Yes. And so in this movie, the villain, the golfing movie. The golfing movie. was Shooter McGavin. Okay. And his real name is Christopher McDonald.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Nice. So in, in Happy Gilmore. Yes, he's a freak. His left arm is longer than his right. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:23:06 So during an interview, he leaked some information. And he said, I ran into Adam Sandler, and he told me that, um, the script for Happy Gilmore 2 is done. Wow.
Starting point is 01:23:19 So they're going to have the movie in full production this year. Wow. And Happy Gilmore is probably one of his best, if not best movie ever for Adam Seller. Yeah. It's really good. For me, it was like an entry point for golf. I didn't know what golfing was as a kid until that came along.
Starting point is 01:23:36 And then it's like I only had a few entry points. Like, then it was like Tiger Woods. Then now it's like a like a schoolboy cue who like always, you know, does stuff. Ben Baller just came through. Talk about it. You know, it's getting more popular now. So it makes sense that it comes. Canelo golfs?
Starting point is 01:23:49 Yes. That it comes. Oh my God. Speaking of. I know this is about having medicine, Big Daddy, 50 first. Canelo posted a trailer for a golf movie. And it's Mexican golfers that these kids weren't allowed to be on the golf course, to be caddies or to anything. And it's like a really beautiful story.
Starting point is 01:24:10 It's a true story. Somehow he found it and is bringing it to production because, you know, he's so backing up like the whole golf lifestyle, you know, and how good it is and how more minorities especially people, like our people are able to join. this type of a sport. Yeah. We shouldn't be just allowed to manicure though. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:28 We could also play. Yeah, like clean. Oh, okay. Oh, okay. Oh, clean. I literally think my hands. Oh, yeah. That's what I was going down.
Starting point is 01:24:36 And I was like, oh, that's so tight. But back to have you go more. It reminds me of the alligator that's in there. Yes. Oh, my God. There's so many classic. I lost my hand. There's so many classic moments in that movie.
Starting point is 01:24:47 That was so tight. You just reminded me. Now I'm sad all over again. Because the actor that played Chubs, Peterson, the one that's, taught happy Gilmore had a golf. He passed away in real life.
Starting point is 01:24:58 Yeah. Recently, right? But, like, I already seen him pass away on screen. So now I'm just double sad. Now you just reminded me. And I'm double sad and RIP call withers. And we are unhappy Gilmore's over here. Does I have any relationship to Gilmore girls?
Starting point is 01:25:10 No? No. All right. Well, thank you for that, Maximo. Brown Bag. It's Brown Bag on Power 106. Number one for hip hop.
