Good morning, Buenos Dias.
Good morning.
It's Fire 106, Brown Bag mornings, August 7th.
Wow.
We are on, is it Wednesday, my dudes?
Yes, it is.
Wednesday, my dudes.
And last night, that earthquake.
Oh, yeah.
Who felt it?
I felt it.
I felt it.
I didn't, but like I thought about, I mean, I guess I did because I was like,
oh, imagine like there was an earthquake right now?
You did not.
No, I swear.
And then I was like, but I don't know.
And then I was just like, I was like, no, that wouldn't happen.
But like, it must have been because.
because I felt like a little shake.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Imagine if Sidney
just walked in right now.
That would be crazy.
No, Vic has to imagine it.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And he's not because he's a faithful man.
That's right.
Yeah, my own Sydney Sweeney.
Oh my gosh, that's so...
No!
Sip!
Sip!
Sip!
Sip!
Wow, he's sipped in early.
Wow.
That is crazy.
He's just like a whole Sip ever.
I realized I did that.
I had my own Sine Siney.
Well
That's how you said
This is great
Well there was a 5.2 earthquake
And everyone was feeling it
Angie slept over my crib
I did
And I was putting away close
I didn't feel it at all
Angie Angie's already scared at my house
Because I live by the cemetery
Yeah
And literally she sleeps with the lights on
I do
In our spare room
And a noise machine
I don't know what it does
It's not a noise machine
It's the thing that like
Purified
It's fair purified
It's not noise
I was like a noise machine.
I was like, no noise machine.
Why would everyone have a noise machine at their house?
For the ghost.
I told you that.
Because I go and I turn them off.
I hate these air purifiers.
They're too loud for me.
And Angie's like, no, leave it on for the ghost.
For the ghost?
I'm a big scurdy cat.
Yeah.
Then the earthquake happened, she's like, I thought it was the ghost.
I went outside.
I'm like, my ghost must be really crazy.
Yeah.
The ghost of San Andreas.
Yeah.
Back.
Don't say that.
Do you guys ever feel like other people's houses?
are more haunted or your house is more hunted.
Other people's? My house is not haunted.
Yeah, my house isn't haunted.
But other people's houses...
Probably. I'm always sitting here like,
yeah, this house is haunted. Especially hotels,
too. Only the houses with the little dolls,
the glass dolls.
Oh, yeah. For sure.
What house are you going to that?
Those are old people? Old people's house?
Yeah.
What are you doing there?
I'm selling solar systems.
Solar panels? Solar panels in your off time?
Solar system.
I was this, nook it was.
I'm selling planets.
If you want a piece of land on Mars, let me know.
They were here when they were for him, brother.
You're going to buy him from you.
You want to land on Saturn?
You let me know, too.
Yeah.
Well, I'm sure as much as we felt it,
I guess the center point was Bakersfield.
Yeah.
I honestly thought it was the two people freaking in front of me
at the Chris Brown show.
Oh, because you were at the Chris Brown show.
Yo, they were going ham.
No way.
Like the seeds were shaking.
I was like, yo, y'all got to tell me down.
I swear.
It was crazy.
No way.
I swear.
Okay, that happens.
Do you look at your girl like, our turn.
No.
Her niece was with us
Oh
Bro
She would have got it
On the flow
Yeah you gotta compete at that point
Oh
You're calling it out
It was excessive
It was like all right
I get it
No way
You feel uncomfortable
For your niece
No I thought it was really funny
It was entertaining
What was your favorite song
That he performed
Because I know he's a great performer
Take you down
I was watching
What was your favorite song
That the couple was dancing to
I don't know
Chris Brown just had
I swear he had so many hits
I didn't realize
I knew that many Chris Brown's
He didn't do it.
He didn't do yo either.
He probably has so many.
He has so many songs, don't.
That's way back in his catalog.
He's had so many tours that it's like he probably played those out early in the tours.
Did he do?
Take you down?
Yeah.
So there's a segment.
Oh, you remember that one, huh?
There's a segment that has like a bunch of like random songs that he maybe like doesn't always want to perform.
And it's like a little like a medley.
It's supposed to be a wheel.
Like a kind of like a wheel.
What wheel?
And then it chooses a random song to perform.
Yeah.
It's a random song to perform.
And which was it?
I think like yo's on there.
All the old songs are on there.
Because he didn't even sing goodbye.
I was like, I'm trying to be sad, bro.
No.
Yeah, I'm going to sing that.
Because you wanted to perform with him.
Well, shout out to everybody that went to the Chris Brown 1111 tour.
We were giving out those tickets and people were going crazy vibes.
They were sold out.
There was a lot of buzz.
I was like, oh, you're going to go to Chris Brown?
I'm like, no, I'm not going on stuff to do.
Then I felt like, dang, should I have, huh?
Yeah.
Should I have kept a pair of these tickets for me?
Like, Mark and one day, apparently?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Were those kind of 10 tickets that you just took, bro?
No.
Yeah.
She breezy called me.
You were, like, staring in his eyes.
You were so close.
I had to make up for one of the moments with Chris Brown that I regret.
What?
The meeting agree.
You took the meeting tree?
No, no.
What did you do?
He offered me some good times?
Vitamins.
And I said no.
Some vitamins.
Dang, you could have been really strong right now.
You could have been healthy.
You could have been healthy.
You could have been healthier.
I said, no, thank you, sir.
But you said no to the vitamins.
like how was the offer it was offering everybody it was great so everybody could have been doing
backflips like Chris Brown it was like you know Mario what Mario eating yeah oh and you said no
yeah because I had to drive home I shouldn't not drove it should have just fought my girl
but you did that with like Fern the janitor the other day you don't care you'll do that with
Fern the janitor but no Chris Brown it's for the janitor I've never did I do it from the janitor
Cusing me again.
Okay.
All right.
We'll keep it here because we have Maximo's Maxi nose.
Yes.
On the way, if you weren't here yesterday for Brownback Olympics, okay, that goes down every day at 8.30 in the morning.
El Salvador was disqualified.
Yes.
Lies.
Justifiably.
No, these are all lines.
You know what?
I do think it was a witch, huh, bro.
It wasn't.
I'm proud of my teammate.
Yes.
It's going to take over.
I have trust.
I know we're going to win and keep the gold in El Salvador.
I don't know about that.
I got that Mayan blood in me.
Oh.
Scandal.
It's an escandalo.
It's an escandalo.
So I'm going to be tapping in for T.Maltzabado today.
You know what's so funny.
And you should I say, what you told me in the car?
You should I say it for later.
I don't remember what I told me in the car.
About tomorrow.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
Okay, I'll save it till later.
8.30, you'll find out.
But Brownback Limpitz is coming up at 8.30.
And we went, me and Angie went to the Canelo Press Conference.
There was so much going on.
We had to talk about that too later this morning, all right?
But on the way, we have Maximo's.
Maxino's.
And what?
And what?
And what?
What are you teasing?
And I'm going to let you know something that irks me.
That's it.
Nice.
Wow.
Keep me as Power 106.
It's Power 106, Brown bag mornings.
And it's time for Maximo's.
Maxi nose.
Yes.
Maximo, please work on an intro.
Yeah.
It's in the works.
In the works.
It's in the works.
It sounds like money, my...
What?
Very cool, Angie.
Why do you always think in sap?
It's crazy.
Well, one thing that irks me besides sap, I'm just going to.
Is when people don't turn off their phone alarms and keep sleeping.
And the alarm just keeps going off.
And I'm talking to you, neighbor.
What do you mean?
My neighbor.
You can hear your neighbor's alarm?
Yes.
Oh, that's terrible.
That's better than what I originally thought.
I thought you hated your wife.
I know.
No.
Well, she has to be his wife, first of all.
She is.
All right.
Yeah, my best.
Okay.
And, but yeah, the alarm just goes on.
It just rings for like 30 minutes.
Wow.
I'm like, how do you just stay asleep?
Do you knock on the wall or something?
Yeah, you got a room stick?
No, because I make noise sometimes and I don't want them to bother me.
Oh.
What kind of noise you make?
Hey.
Hey, yo.
Oh.
It's not me making a noise, brother.
You said I made noise at a time.
Yeah, it's called music.
I put it really loud.
Max volume.
I'm the alarm person.
You don't turn it off?
Like even today, I was in the shower
and my alarm was going off.
And I'm like, I'm not in the shower.
You wake up early.
I know I wake up early.
I know.
You just put stop.
Yeah.
No, but I'm in the same.
shower for.
I've been in the shower before
and I get out and push up.
No, it's out.
It's out.
It's in the room.
I've done that.
I'm like,
oh,
I should wake up now.
No wonder.
Holderick,
text me at like 5.30 a.m.
No,
brother.
They're heavy sleepers.
Oh,
really?
Yeah.
Oh, my dad.
It's like,
I feel like I could still sleep,
but I,
like, it's in my brain.
It, like,
it, like, it infiltrates your dream.
Yes.
All of a sudden,
there's like an alarm
in your dream.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And,
wake up and you're like, whoa, this alarm's still going?
Then you snooze and then you wake up and it's still going.
It's like, all right, bro.
I think it was when I had a Blackberry.
It was a really good alarm that it started off as water.
Like it started off with water.
And then in the distance you hear like a boat.
You know, yeah.
No way.
And it's nice and serene.
Yeah.
But it starts off amazing, like water sounds.
and a boat in the distance
and then the boat goes closer
and it's an alarm
oh that was so tight
it's a really cool
it's a really good one
but that sounds like a sailor's worst nightmare
yeah
she's getting PTSD
oh no
they commandeered the ship
PTSD for sure
if you got that
you won't like it
there was that time
my phone got stuck in the couch
when I was younger
and my ringtone was
we fly her
it was on loop
for like 30 minutes
but I couldn't find my phone
I couldn't find it
it was in the couch
did you look high
I was trying to ball or something
I don't know
No, did you like
looking high, please?
We look high
It's okay
It's me
My joke is bad
My joke is bad
All right
But yeah
It grinds your gears
It definitely irks me
And I know a lot of people do it
I just don't know how they do it
Because I instantly turn it off
Like I'll wake up
I'll hit the snoo
If I need to
But I'll stop the alarm
See this is my thing
With Maximus Maxinos
Is that it irks him
When other people do it
But it's stuff he also does
No
I don't know it
When it's not him that does it.
We're talking about the food one the other day.
You literally take forever to order something on our, on like our app.
He just had my phone.
Yes.
Passed it and then grabbed it again and took it longer.
Yeah.
It's just the same thing that you hate on other people before.
No, because I knew what I wanted to order.
It was like, did I want to order it?
I get my hungry.
That's the exact thing.
It's like going to the drive-thru and you're not hungry.
I'm not hungry yet.
No, it's like going to the drive-thru.
You know you want something, but you're just not sure what.
Yeah.
No, I knew what I wanted.
I wasn't hungry.
What's different that takes you the same time to the time?
Yeah, you know, this isn't about me, right?
It's not, no.
Keep here, it here, it's 5106.
5106, brown bag mornings, Buenos Aires.
Good morning to you.
Oh, shout me now, Greg.
Shout out to Ernie.
He says, hi, Angie.
Lo's escutio every morning on my way to work.
Good stuff.
Oh, nice.
Good stuff.
All right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's it, Greg.
Oh, okay.
For the shout-outs.
Let's go.
Let's hear you guys every morning.
Let's go.
I'll hear you guys every morning.
I love that.
That's amazing.
Thanks for the translation.
Irene says shout out to Michelle from Whittier.
So shout out to Michelle from Whittier.
Shout out Michelle.
Shout out to Alex from Crypto from Maximo.
Shout out to Alex from Crypto.
Yeah, Alex from Crypto.
Do you guys just want to tell your own shoutouts?
Sure.
You don't need.
Yeah, it sounds a little like, yeah.
It has like a question mark at them.
Yeah.
Yeah, so shout out Alex from Crypto.
He's one of the employees when I was walking in my seats.
He just like, he was super like calm and quiet and he's like, hey.
you're on a radio, huh?
And I'm like, yeah, like super low key.
He's like, he's like, hey man, I listen to you guys.
Give me a shout out.
Go Lakers.
Go Lakers.
But hella quiet though, like that, like that tone.
I was like, that first I was all, man, what's up?
I appreciate you.
And then when he's like, go Lakers, I was like, I'm out.
And I just walked away.
You scared.
I'm out because you're right.
Okay, shout out to Jose and Ruben from Peloton.
Peloton.
They came and set up the Peloton tread, and they were super
cool. They're really nice. They're out here doing delivery.
Very expensive workout machines.
Big up to you guys, man. We appreciate you.
And yesterday, me and Angie were driving around Pasadena.
Letty driving. And Angie was like, letty, look. I'm like, look, look, look.
It was a, it was a Tesla cop car.
No way. It was like blocking off a street, right? And it looked pretty tight. Not going to like
seeing them in prison, pretty cool. And since it was blocking the streets, the officer
in there is chilling because he's basically
being the, I guess, bounder right?
So, yeah, protecting us too.
And then so when I turned, I was like,
hey, I like your car.
And he's like, he did a thumbs up.
And you can see all his tats.
And I was like, oh, that's a trick.
Because I'm just like, they can show their tats now.
Yes.
Yeah, before they couldn't.
And some still don't.
And then, but he had his tats
and then he had a cool car.
And I was like, oh, this is super cool.
But then I called my other cop friend
will not say their name.
Because apparently, did you know
that different departments
beef.
Yeah.
Or they look at each other like,
uh,
not me.
So that was the South Pasadena
police department,
the full with the Tesla
and showing his tats.
So then I hit up
my cop friend,
will not say their name.
And then they're like,
yeah,
you know,
we just don't want to be
professional so we don't show our tads.
Like I did say that.
They did say that.
Oh, sorry.
She did say that?
Angie.
That's great.
What was her name, Angie?
Not,
and we're not going to say her name.
She's like,
yeah,
we're just trying to keep a professional.
You know, you know, like they look, I guess they look a little messy when they, when they
were, when they either have facial hair.
I guess, I guess cops also, they can have mustaches, but they can have beards.
Yeah, it's 2024, not 1990.
Yeah.
No, but there was like strict guidelines, I guess, on, I guess, workwear.
Yeah.
And I'm assuming the girls buns, because all the cop girls are always wearing buns.
I feel like the era of like the professional attire, unless you're like going for like a lawyer
specific jobs, it's like gone.
Because even I've seen teachers, like sleeved up.
Doctors.
Piercing.
I've seen a principal with an eyebrow piercing.
A principal with eyebrow?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's true.
See, then it gets a little scary because then it's like, you probably should be professional in some professions.
I get being like casual.
It's more about like.
We have casual jobs, bro.
We're not going to come in.
There's people that deserve to be in suits.
It's more about them wanting to feel like less authoritative and more like a friend.
No, be authority.
That's what I think.
Be authority.
It's like a West Coast thing, because I don't think it's like that everywhere else.
I've seen doctors that are like sleeved up before, but that's on like, it's normal now.
Yeah, because you go to the green thumb hospitals.
Actually, what are expensive hospital?
Like, what hospital are you going to?
Don't worry about it.
I can't tell you, it's private.
Is there a green cross?
It's a hippo violation.
It's in the back of a hair salon?
Yeah, well, like, for example, I saw a picture of Brad Pitt, who's like around 60 years old.
And then the new, like, vice president that, uh,
Mala picked.
Nominee.
And they're like the same age.
And they're 60.
And it's like one is Midwest 60 and one is West Coast 60.
And then you're just like, dude, that's crazy.
Like our perception of things is like, yeah.
You would see probably Brad Pitt is like sleeved up and stuff, but like a 60 year old or
whatever or a professional in another place is going to look way different.
Yeah, bro.
True.
Yeah.
But shout out to that cop with Tesla and also like cop that was like eight.
You know what?
We prefer to just be pro about our stuff.
They probably just wrap different sets, you know?
They definitely do.
That is for show.
Any more shout-outs, any birthdays?
Besto wants a shout-out.
He's listening all the way from Philly.
Let's go, Philly.
You guys make my workday so much easier.
Thank you, y'all.
And he says, go Phillies.
Go.
No.
Yeah, go home.
Go home.
I'm doing all that.
How about that?
How about that?
Gusano's oldies on Instagram has,
if he wants to do a birthday shout-out for himself.
Shout out Gusanos oldies.
Shout out Guzano's oldies.
That's cool.
That's cool.
Happy birthday to you.
Felis Cumplaños.
A-ti.
What's the word?
Word on roast crants.
Rooscrans.
The word is,
Drake dropped 100 gigs of data,
and I'm going to break it all down.
Perfect.
Look, Drake uploaded 100 gigs of his data,
songs, videos, photos, and more to 100gigs.org,
and there are many interesting things on there.
So there's plenty of footage in the studio of him,
you know, sharing the inspiration behind certain songs.
One of the songs that I found really interesting was he discusses Too Good featuring Rihanna.
He has a conversation with his mom about it, and he says it's about Serena Williams.
All right, listen to this.
No, I get heavy on a couple of jokes, but this is more about me and Serena.
So I gathered.
I gathered that.
But I wanted to make a song.
Well, it's funny because when I make songs about women, I also make songs for them.
So I know what kind of song to make, if I'm going to talk about them,
I'll at least do them the justice of making them a song that they like.
Okay?
So I know Serena very well, and I know that she'll hear it loud and clear,
but she'll also not hate me for it because it's lighthearted.
What an evil genius.
Were they together at the time or not together at the time?
No, I think this was after they broke up.
Yeah, it was after they broke up because his mom was like, oh, like she's dating somebody else.
And he's like, I don't know, mom, I don't care.
Yeah.
Sure.
Let me make this song about her.
I'm just making this whole song about her.
She'll know it's about her, but maybe she won't even be mad.
And then it's like with Rihanna too at the time where it's like she probably knew that like
she had a crush on, that Drake had a crush on Rihanna too and all their history.
Yeah, evil genius.
Oh, Rihanna?
What do you mean?
Yeah, because she's on that song.
Yeah, she's on the song.
But like the fact that he made that song with Rihanna.
It had been a back and forth.
Yeah.
Oh, Serena knowing.
Serena knowing that like, let me collaborate with my ex essentially to do this.
song about you subtly.
Wow. Evil jeez. That is my goal right there.
And the way he was talking with his mom is like just like yeah I don't think
she'll hate me for it though. It's lighthearted like you said.
It's fun right. Yeah it is. I want her to think about me.
Yes. Is what it looks like. Right. Because he didn't have to mention her. I know.
And another clip I found was him discussing the inspiration behind Hotline Bling.
He said it was about a certain girl who he'd be laying in bed with and her phone would
constantly be ringing. Like right after they do their things. Yeah. Ringing, ringing, ringing,
and ringing.
Wow.
And then he said he changed her name in his phone to Hotline Bling.
Then he wrote the song about her.
And then he also contemplated getting future on that song.
Yeah.
That would have been.
That would have been.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a good record.
There's also a photo on there that says there may be.
Wait, hold on for Hotline Bling.
He said that that was going to be, he would want to change his name to that.
If he was a dance hall artist.
He was like, I would change my stage name to Hotline Bling.
And this was, this is footage from when it's actually happening.
Yeah.
So I'm not too sure that Hall Lang Bling is out at the time.
He's explaining it to his.
homies and he's saying there's a girl and then like after we were doing it like her phone's just
blowing up people hitting her up texting her calling her whatever and so I put her in my phone as hotline
bling and then I was looking through my contacts the other day and I was like that is pretty tight name
and like I would change my name to hotline bling this is why he's the goat this is why he's the best
of all time and then and then he called her and he's like just so you know I'm I got to put this
somewhere like I got to put like this title yeah it's too good of a title to um
to pass on and then and it makes sense like now when you listen to the song you're like now you're like
I know when the hotline bling that could only mean one thing and then even like when he's saying
wonder if you ever been oh my god what was someone now going out more yeah everything is like now
in like good context I'm like oh okay cool that's that's fire to like to know um then there was also
a photo on there that there may be a European tour later this year and it's titled they don't like us
yeah what no it's called no one likes us no one is it no one is it no one no one
likes us?
Look at it.
Okay, sorry.
Yeah, I probably got it wrong.
No one likes us Euro 2024.
He had like a little flyer on there.
He also has like this burner account that he's been uploading stuff.
Yeah.
Plot Twist on Instagram that has even more clips and photos.
Feels like he's done like a whole life dump.
You know, people do like a month dump or like.
Yeah.
He had a lot of time to himself and to look in the mirror and be like,
who are you?
Who are you?
Who are you?
I've lived a good, regardless of everyone hating me right now.
I think it's a really good move on his part to remind people.
why they like him yeah for sure and and even giving little clips of like hey remember this
song I do with Rihanna yeah remember hotlangling also it does kind of seem like I'm
you're TMIing it a little bit with the with this stuff about these girls but right
Drake like that's part of his thing like he's gonna always talk too much but it's cool to
remind people like this is me even showing clips of him with Adonis yeah taking him to
work being like this is where daddy works all of that it's reminding people hey I like this guy
Seeing the more innocent side of Drake from like back in the day.
Yeah.
Where like there's like a clip of him on stage doing a weekend impression when him and the weekend were like so cool.
And that was hilarious.
You know what I mean?
So you see these like, oh, he was a pretty cool guy.
This is why we like him.
He's kind of being toxic to us as fans.
He's doing the big povresito.
He's sending him all photos.
Yeah, he's like big.
This is like like if I were to like send my ex photos of us, like remember us?
Remember the old times?
guilty
that's why he's your guys
is goat huh
no no he's not
we pick another comment
you said they're like
we all love him
it's fine
the only moment that I
you know that plot twist thing
that plot to his
burner account
how sure people
that that's Drake
because I don't know
it has a lot of exclusive
stuff on there
yeah
if it's not him
it has to be someone
from his team
that has access to all that
that burner account
is Jay Cole
yeah
that's what everyone's talking about
that burner
account was like, hey, they posted, and it fits, it fits Drake reportedly allegedly. Yeah. He's
dissing Jay Cole on that burner. He posted a tweet or something in that, in that burner account
saying, hey, remember when two fans got Jay Cole's phone and then called Jay Z and he didn't
answer? And then they called that same number on their own phone and he did answer. So they're
just saying like, Jay Z don't even like accept your calls or whatever. That's posted on the burner
account.
Sheesh.
So it's, it's odd.
Yeah, but I mean, I wouldn't be surprised of him dissing J-Kohl.
Because I'm sure it felt like that was the start of the domino effect of like the whole
this.
Kendra Goeta came at you both.
Kendri-Groader came at you on the side.
For sure.
No, I agree.
I think like as someone like him, he probably just felt like damn.
Like no one has my back.
I'm just, it's me against the world, you know?
That's my take on you.
And those these dumps too within all.
the cool stuff, it's very specific to who he's talking about. Again, people that, like, you can't
bring up a Rihanna video and not get Aesap Rocky upset, right? Because it's them performing,
laughing with each other, like, hey, I had your girl like this, bro. The Serena Williams,
that's going back to the bar, say Serena out here, you can't, right? Then being exes, right? He's
picking, like, it's, it's like a dump, it's random, but it's also very intentional.
For sure, exactly. To hit who it's supposed to hit, again, per peak Drake of being the
Subliminal within the obvious.
And then the way he did it too is like subtle because he didn't.
It's organized, but it's not labeled like descriptively, right?
So you go up there and then like you'll click something.
You don't know what you're clicking yet necessarily.
But it's all there.
Yeah, it's like.
It's not like Serena diss or Serena reply or like too good inspiration.
It's just like a bunch of files that are kind of scattered.
Y'all click files too quickly.
That could have been a virus.
I know right now when I downloaded some stuff.
I'm like, I hope this is not.
He's not downloading a.
You know, I'm not downloading a virus.
McCaffy Firewater.
For all 10.
Two years.
Yeah.
Two years free.
But I feel like this is all like part of like a rollout of him going to drop new music soon.
Well, he is no like the collab album with Metro.
Pardon next door.
No.
Not Metro.
Not Metro.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he actually has a couple new songs on there.
Never before heard.
There's a song called Housekeeping Nose featuring Lado.
That's really good.
Listen to this.
East Coast girls popping them popping
West Coast girls do the same but in the hills
South Side girls they know how to close a deal
Up in the six
Oh up in the seas they do whatever they feel
I'd have too many drinks to hop behind the wheel
Crocodile burking and I'm carrying it conceal
No you see it poking out I never miss no meal
Right, right, right right
That's a banger
Yep
Yeah, he had a lotto too.
Yeah, him and Lado.
And there's that song, and then there's another song with 21 Savage and Young Thug.
This is a little bit of 21 Savage's verse.
No rap cow come out my mouth.
Made a couple songs think he hot now.
Hit his ass up.
He think he pop now.
Brow a day light, he got shot down.
Chop of bullets make his ass hot round bloodshed.
Ain't nowhere to stop now.
Going live to get your ass pop now.
See like everybody want to opt now.
That's crazy.
People are speculating that he's talking about Kendrick.
No.
I don't see it being Kendrick.
He talks like this all the time.
Yeah.
There's always like an invisible
He knows better.
Yeah.
Thanks, Vick.
All right, that was your word.
I'm Rose Cranz.
I'm Rose Cranz.
I'm Rose Cranzvick for Brown Bag Morning.
So I'm 106.
Simp.
Or Pimp.
B-I-M-B.
Sip.
Sip.
Sip.
Sip.
Sip.
There's a guy online talking about
how life is going to the club
when you have a girl.
Oh, Vic or you?
No, I don't go to the club.
So I'm more Vick.
I think.
You know, we'll see.
Vic, let me know after you hear this.
Great.
Going to the club, when you have a girlfriend,
is the best feeling in the world.
Ain't no pressure.
There is absolutely no pressure.
It's a win-win.
It's a win-win.
I don't get no phone numbers.
It's all good.
I'm going home to my girl.
Sometimes we want to go to the club
and get different girls' phone numbers
just to see if we still got it.
And for the real players, you know what we do after the club?
We make our girl pick us up from the club.
No cap.
Oh my God.
Okay, that's what was tripping me out.
Because he was like, and I ain't getting no phone numbers.
That's cool.
I got my girl.
So you're trying that?
Yeah, that's what he had.
Like, yeah, just to see if I still got it.
That's pretty.
I don't go to the club.
So that's why I brought it up here to bring it to the fellas and the ladies in the room.
And see, is this Simp or PIN of him talking about going to the club when you have a girl?
Sim.
What going to the club when you have a girl is like?
Yeah.
Well, Simp is getting picked up from the club.
By your girl is crazy.
Hey, babe, I'm in the front right now.
Because that's like, like, I'll pick the back from the club.
And the fact he made his sound pimp.
Yeah.
He's like, yeah.
My girl's going to pick me up.
I get no phone numbers.
Bro, shut up.
You just got no game.
Yeah.
You have a girl.
But why you've been trying to get phone numbers if you're at the club?
You're at the club.
You're at the club.
So you're telling you're going right now when you're at the club,
you're trying to get phone numbers?
I'm not saying anything reportedly allegedly.
If I can get a number, I'm going to get a number.
We all like to play basketball, right?
Yeah, correct.
Sometimes there's a game and then sometimes there's practice.
Yeah.
Before the game.
You got to practice.
Sometimes you've got to practice.
Yeah.
Put up some shots.
They don't mean anything.
They're not, nobody's keeping score.
Tell your girl that.
You know what?
Hey, babe, you know, like, it's just, I just practice.
Yeah.
For you.
And then they practice.
You just got to keep my game sharp for you, baby.
No.
It's networking.
Oh, yeah.
With the girls, then where's the guys' numbers, too?
Network.
You don't network at the club?
No, but if you're saying you're networking at the club,
then you've got guys and girl numbers.
Yeah, he networks.
He networks both ways.
Yeah.
But those girls that you practice with, those are the bench.
That's the bench.
I don't know what you're talking about because I have a girl, so I just go on network.
No, you said, you do it for practice.
He said that, not me.
I say I go to a network.
Trying to make sense of it.
You know, a business owners.
everything models we need models for photo shoots
I want to know when you're single
is there pressure to get girls phone numbers
at the club? Yeah yeah that's a game
I feel like that's the goal not practice that's a game
you're in the game at that point
So every time you go to the club as a guy's a single person
Yeah that's the plan to get at least one number
Not I mean it's like Instagram number or something like that
It's a make some contact Instagram number like you know they're interchangeable
Like but yeah you want to just like go out
and have a good game.
You know what I'm saying?
You want to put points on the board.
There's a whole plan.
You got to make sure you delete the search history too.
So when they put their Instagram
that doesn't see the last girl that they?
Yeah.
That's a better move.
That's a better move right there.
Brother?
Yeah, like that.
That's crazy.
Like his style.
He's been in the league for a while.
So when you're with the girl now,
like boom, you're single, so it's a game.
Ah.
Boom.
Got one or didn't.
Ah, so it was a bad game.
I don't know.
They put up a lot of screens or whatever.
Yeah.
Whatever happened to basketball.
In front of the screen?
Yeah, they just did it on me.
Her friend that can be matumbo blocked that way.
But then let's say you get a girl.
The next time you go to a club,
are you still trying to get numbers?
I can't get your number, but I can't get you on Instagram.
That's the off-season.
That's like you won the championship already.
You're just there.
You know, you see Summer League going on.
You see your friends playing.
Summer League.
And you're just like, that's cool.
Good for them.
I hope that they're having a good game over there.
I'm spectating.
I'm Jalen Brown watching Brani.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I don't know if he's.
a pro. Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So is this sim or pimp of him?
Sim. Sim. Sim.
Yeah. Getting picked up by his girl.
The getting picked up is the sim part.
Yeah. And then making this video is sims.
Yeah. I'm trying to brag about it.
Yeah. I'm a girlfriend.
Your girlfriend's never picked you up from the club?
When I'm drunk, yeah.
It's not like when I'm sober.
Yeah, it's responsible.
Yeah, it's responsible.
The part of it was saying like there's no pressure.
Like, oh, there's no pressure to get a girl's number.
I live for the pressure.
Yeah.
All right.
Come on.
That's the most exciting part.
Pressure.
Fourth quarter.
Crunch time.
You know what I'm saying?
My jersey's in the rap.
like, you know, it's retired.
Mine's up there.
I might pull up to the big three.
Big is teetering the line right now.
No.
Once you find out he's going to get depression.
Wait, no.
She's going to be like, oh, really go.
Go with your pressure.
Go with your game.
No, no.
You know what it's like?
It's like, I just retired.
Like, my last season was like, I just retired.
So I'm still like the game is so fresh in my mind.
So you're missing the game a little bit.
I'm not missing the game at all.
I'm still close to the game.
I'm still going in the locker room.
You're not tempted at all?
So you're motivating.
Yeah, you know what?
You're checking up on the team.
Exactly.
How are you guys doing?
All right, yeah.
I'm over here if you need me.
Really?
Yeah.
Maximo said he hung up his jersey, his championship jersey.
Yeah, my jersey is hung up.
He hung up before the clippers?
Yeah.
That's it.
Wow.
I had to.
You know what I'm saying?
It is what it is, man.
It's okay.
My guy over here, he still gets no numbers.
I get Instagrams.
It's safer.
He gets song requests.
He gets those, he gets those Instagrams that are just like the ones that comment.
Happy.
Happy out of it?
The spam a guy?
I have a million dollars.
I don't know what to do with it.
I need a friend.
All right, is this full simper pimps?
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Keep doing it.
Powerwoodo 6.
L.A's number one for hip-hip.
You need a homie or need some help.
We need your help.
We need a line.
I mean, home line.
We got you for.
The homie help line.
Denice needs our help.
Is he nice?
Denise.
Denise.
My bad, my bad, my bad, my bad.
Oh, Victor.
Denise needs our help.
Denise sent us a DM and said,
Brownback, it's your girl, Denise.
Hi, Denise.
You don't know me, but you're all my friends in my head.
Aw.
That's cute.
And I need your help.
friend now. I have friends in my head.
Thanks, Dynes. Yeah, me too.
She said, I'm a single
mom and my 14 year old son.
They keep telling me to do things.
Hector.
But you don't listen, right?
You don't listen?
Sometimes.
It gets hard something.
No, really.
During that time of the month?
Oh, my God.
I just want to say yes.
All right.
All right.
I'm a single mom and my 14 year old
son, Hector, has me
tripping with this.
He's going into high school
and wants a broccoli cut.
A broccoli cut.
Broccoli cut?
Broccoli good?
What is that?
It's like the noodles on the head?
Yeah, so the top of...
So like Edgar could?
No.
No.
This is like a evolution.
Yeah, it's like when...
Edgar Lucian.
I mean, it's funny because there's people that naturally have it.
Yeah.
But it's become a thing where it's pretty much like the top is a lot of hair, but it's curly.
Yeah.
So it looks like a kind of like a muffin top.
Dang.
And then with a fade.
It's like my people's hair.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
It's like his.
You're up.
But then it has like a fade.
I am a trend.
Yeah, the side has a fade.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
It's a new thing for sure.
I see.
If you drive by any high school, it's like, put your broccoli leaves.
Are those the new Edgar then?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, because Edgar's got like kind of burnt out.
Either that or they're Salvadorian.
Yeah, yes.
I honestly used to think all salvi's had curly hair.
And if someone had curly hair, they will salvi.
And I'm sorry to anybody that had curly hair that I totally just stare at.
You and, no, people don't have, like, literally,
bro, all ethnicities have curly hair.
But what you said at first.
That what?
All salvi's have curly hair?
Yes, yes.
I think that's true.
Prove it wrong.
Prove it wrong.
All righties have curly hair.
Prove me wrong.
Yeah, literally.
I have selvey hair.
Yeah, but it is wavy.
Yeah.
It is.
I have curly hair and I'm on salvi.
No, not that way.
Not that other people can have curly hair,
but that all salvi's don't have curly hair, but that all visies don't
have curly hair like move that
exactly back to broccoli cut yeah yeah
broccoli cut uh
and Denise oh yeah okay
so she said maybe the guys have heard of it
all I know about it is that it's curly hair
at the top of your head but my baby's hair
is straight straight oh
how is not gonna work that
so um she said he has a cousin that says
says he'll do the cut on him but I told my son he has
to get a perm first yeah what
oh she's the one to just okay yeah
Well, like, it also wouldn't work.
Yeah, it's not possible.
So she said, like the macamore cut.
Like, he told my son.
Yeah.
So she said, I'm scared.
She said, I'm scared Brownback.
I get he's trying to start high school off with the new wave,
but I don't want him doing a trend cut that he'll probably hate looking at later.
And what if the perm job goes wrong?
I told Hector, I would think about it and I need advice from my friends.
You guys.
Should I let him get this broccoli cut?
Are you, then, man?
Help me.
Speaking for someone who naturally has a broccoli head.
Oh my gosh.
It's not a bad thing.
However, the perm situation is where it gets tricky.
If your hair is straight, straight, you would have to get a perm.
For sure.
That's where it gets tricky.
The homie style trees got a perm.
One day to the next to the next to you got curly hair.
I'm like, what's up with you?
It's happening a lot now.
It used to happen like in the 90s.
I even remember the smell of perm.
Yeah.
Because my ti is my mom would do.
My mom.
Yeah, I wanted to do it.
Really?
I wanted to do it so bad.
No, he's naturally crazy.
You want, because you have straight hair.
Yeah, because I was like, it looked good on me.
Like, I feel like it looked dope, but I heard it's a lot to do.
Yeah, it's a chemical process.
Right.
So I was like, no, never mind.
And it can go wrong.
They can?
So, yeah.
Our producer, Mona was telling us how her parents permed her hair.
No way.
Wait, she was little.
Parents did it, Ramona?
Yes.
And it didn't go too well, right?
She was five.
She was five years old.
She was in kindergarten.
You were in kids.
Oh my god
Shut up
Can we polling that on brown like four?
That is cauliflower
That is not even rotten
Oh your hair was so high
And she's a little five-year-old
Imagine
That five-year-old listens to old
Who's a did?
What's it?
Perman about here?
That five-year-old puts your head on my shoulders
Bro, please can we post that?
Please.
Marvona, can we post that?
And why did they do that for like, my mom?
Was your mom going to school for cosmetology?
No.
Maybe she needed hours and she needed something.
Maybe she had a lot of aquanelling around.
Maybe.
Ramona, did you like it?
I don't think so.
I mean, I look pretty happy there, but.
You're very happy.
You're proud.
It's a, oh my God.
You're so proud.
This is crazy.
Yeah.
Br, we have to pose.
This is insane.
It's funny.
This is insane.
Yes.
Hey,
they're love.
Do you send it?
We have to post it.
And that's the thing.
Brown Bank 106 on Instagram.
Bad.
Amazing hair.
Amazing.
Yeah.
If your hair straight,
you probably need the more,
like the stronger one.
For sure.
Yeah.
And it's a long process,
isn't it?
Like, it's not like a one-day thing
where it just goes.
It's like one day.
I don't know, I don't know.
But then you can't shower or something.
Yeah.
There's a whole.
Then you got to like use a certain shampoo so it doesn't go back.
That's what my sister was telling.
She was saying that it had to be twisted.
You really did want to firm.
I swear.
I was like, I want to do it because I had a mullet.
Okay.
That'd be cool.
Denise.
And you know what?
Like Denise has her 14 year old.
He's going into nine.
You got to think of that as a single mom.
You already know like, okay, we're just thugging it out.
Me and my son.
But there's going to be things he goes through that I can't really explain or talk about or should I let him do it or should I let him not.
And she wants to know about this broccoli haircut.
I think that's the fun part about growing up is like having these like crazy haircuts.
Yeah, because you like then you're like, oh, remember that day?
Like imagine like we just all like shared this moment with Mona because she had a perm when she was five.
Imagine it's incredible.
Imagine I kept this cut for the rest of my life.
Emo cut.
But it's like it's a moment in time.
Like you know exactly what he was listening to.
Green Day.
Greg, I want to mean that Greg, dog.
This Greg?
He looks so sad and lonely.
Yeah, and I was like,
Tonight will be the night that I won't fall for you.
Yeah, that photo is he launched by himself.
Yeah, he had a simple plan.
Having headphones in at a dinner, family dinner was.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's a thing.
That was a face.
Like when Swaggy P was like, you know, super popular, I got like a Swaggy P haircut.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I was in high school.
What was a Swaggy P?
It's like a first.
A for a first.
It's called like a burst fade.
So like the sides of my hair were like short, but like the back and the front was like a mohawk.
It's kind of like a mohawk, but not like a mohawk.
Because didn't you also have like a jersey shortcut?
I had a Jersey short cut in the middle of Jersey Shore time.
Wow.
Yeah.
Super high.
And then it's like I had a Macklemore cut.
It's like a.
It's a Maclemore cut.
It's a Pigeot.
With long hair on top and you comb it back.
Yeah, you comb the hair back.
You slick it back, but then you had, like, no hair on the side.
Okay, when you got it, did you feel amazing?
Yeah, it was like the times.
Yeah, I was like, I liked it.
And see, those things don't necessarily require a chemical process that would go wrong.
It's just a haircut and it grows back.
The opportunity for error for baby boy is, it can happen.
Or I guess the best thing with a bad perm job for him is it just stays straight.
It doesn't get perm, right?
But then there's like, it looks crunchy.
Then there's more like the curls aren't.
The fun part.
Then you get a nickname.
He's about to go into ninth grade, dog.
This is very important for him to, like, show up cool.
He has to be cool.
They'll call him crunchy.
Like, it's cool.
He's a fun part of life.
Yeah, if you get a nickname early, hey.
Built character.
Hey, yo, crunchy.
Crunch, my boy.
Big perm.
He probably listens to OGZ.
Like, he wants the OGZ haircut.
For sure.
Yeah.
You know what?
I feel like the easiest and safest thing would be, like, if he sleeps with roller
like hair rollers every single night.
And his friends find out about that?
No, that doesn't curl enough.
That's going to, he's going to look hilarious.
That only works on stucke up.
No?
Like get it went and then like your drill.
I mean, like get a little girl.
Yeah.
Instead of a purr.
Does that look like sugar free?
Like cat Williams hair?
So let's take your calls.
Should Denise let her son,
who's 14 going into high school,
wants to like show up.
with vibes. Should she let him get a perm to then get a broccoli cut? He has very, very
straight hair. She's worried about, she knows why he wants to do it. Like clearly, she may not agree,
but she wants, she knows, but she also knows what can go wrong. Yeah. She probably had a,
what is the price of a perm? I'm not too sure. I'm not too. Yeah. Yeah. My sister was
going to charge me $300. Your sister was going to charge you? Yeah. She said like all this stuff is
actually really expensive to do a perm. It takes a long.
time too.
She's getting him some jays.
And some fly ones that cost like three and a cool phone.
Get them awake.
Yeah.
And I don't like that when we had the homie help line of the the girl that wanted streaks in her hair.
We're like, no, no, don't do it.
Don't mess up your hair.
But we're letting this fool get a perm.
I thought.
See?
Whoa.
No, she was a baby.
She wasn't a baby.
She was like 12.
Yeah.
She was a schooler.
She was a little.
She was a little birthday.
This fool's 14.
Yeah.
We're letting him get a whole per?
No, I said it's sleep with rollers.
Gender rolls.
All right.
Shout on my baby girls out there.
You get the fake little dye, the demi die, okay?
Leah, you're not getting that.
No, no, no, no, no.
Leah, come over my house.
Yeah, no, Leah.
No, Leah, okay.
Oh, but Hector?
Heckter.
Marketer.
Might have like with rollers.
Keep it here.
It's 5-106.
All right, check this out, homie.
You need a homie or need some help.
We need your head.
We need a line.
I mean phone line
We got your phone
The homie help line
KPWR Los Angeles
Power 106
Ellie's number one for hip hop
And what's going down, Victor
Denise needs our help
Denise
All right
She's a single mom
She has a 14 year old
son named Hector
That wants that broccoli
Cutt
He wants a perm
He got a cousin
That'll do it for him
But she's scared
She's scared y'all
She's scared of him growing up
I think that's like the underlying issue
She's scared of him not being her baby
anymore of that broccoli
cut coming with some riz
yeah
and some girls
yeah
the riz of gavis
broccoli kids better than the tattoo
that's true
but that's next
yeah bro
there's some kids in my high school
14
yeah that's normal
that's normal
it's normal it's normal
it's not normal kids
don't do that
yeah it's not
but it happens
which it shouldn't have
yeah
that little big on con con
with a full
back tag yeah exactly
exactly
it's my foot up
eight
eight
Yeah, so she's a little worried, you know, and she wants advice from us.
She wants to know what we think.
You know, she's afraid of the perm going wrong.
She's afraid of just kind of him growing up in general and wants our opinion on it.
Okay.
And we're going to go to the phone lines for it, okay?
We have a lot of people calling you to chime in.
I love this.
All the way from Austin, Texas.
Texas reportedly, allegedly is where the Edgar cut originated.
Yeah.
yeah, but some say it goes all the way back to our Aztec ancestry, according to some photos.
But now the evolution, some would say is this broccoli cut where it's just a curl.
Right, at the top.
At the top of the head, but a cool line or the fade or I don't know what's going down over there.
It's very much a guy thing.
We got David from Austin, Texas on the line.
David, what's up, bro?
Hey, what's up, brown bag?
Hi.
David, what would you say to Denise, who's trying to consider whether to live,
let her 14-year-old son going into high school get a broccoli cut when he has straight,
straight hair, so he would have to get a perm for it.
Listen, I would tell her to be very, very careful.
Don't go to the barber beauty schools and do it.
Make sure somebody that's professional.
Why?
Back in the 80s, I had my daughter.
She had long, beautiful hair.
You know, back in the 80s, the girls had the hair past her butts and everything.
So she kept bugging and bugging me.
Dad, take me to go get my hair.
than I want a perm, I want a perm, because they were doing spiral perms back then.
So I was like, okay, we finally convinced her mom.
And then I took her and I over-processed it.
And so by the time she left, we had her looking like Shirley Temple because I had to cut all.
You had to cut it all?
Yeah, I had to cut it.
What happens is that when it over-processed, it looks like rubber bands.
The hair starts stretching.
It just pulls in it.
It was going to break off anyway.
Yeah.
I know.
My instructor told me, just let's cut it, you know.
So she had long hair all the way down past her butt,
and you had to cut it after over processing it?
Yeah, after over processing it.
It was like up to her shoulders.
I mean, she had like a little bob with a perm, a tight perm.
A tight perm.
Wow.
Are there photos I want to see?
Yeah.
I like how you're laughing still to this day.
Like, it's so funny.
She probably was crying.
He's the guy that was laughing about the AC.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Why are you so evil to people?
Dude.
You have caused nothing but ruckus in this world, David.
You lock your AC from your roommate.
Yes.
Look at all.
Look at how it's laughing.
I do.
I do.
Okay, but just be careful is what you're saying.
All right, David.
Have a good morning.
You have a good morning.
You'll be careful.
Hey,
Everybody at Nazi taxes, be careful around David.
He laughs at all the evil things.
Yes, he is.
Have a good morning, bro.
Thank you for calling it.
All right.
He's like a nice joker.
I didn't know.
I didn't know Shirley Temple was a person.
You're so cute.
It was just a drink?
Oh, yeah.
It's okay.
It's not his fault.
We're just that old.
We're just that old.
She looked like Shirley Temple a drink.
Like what?
That makes no sense.
She looks like a sprite with crew.
Yeah.
Okay, we got Crystal in Santa Ana.
Crystal.
Good morning, Brumbao.
What's up, Crystal, how are you?
Hey, I'm doing good. How are you guys doing?
Amazing, amazing. Crystal, talk to us. What would you tell Denise?
I would say, let him do it.
Honestly, if it doesn't come out good, he's going to learn.
You wanted it? Sorry, baby boy, you got to stick with it now, right?
Right.
Let him suffer like us, girls.
Listen, when we were young and we wanted those bangs right before picture day,
and they came out whack-up hikes, we had to take the picture with you, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Built character.
Wow.
Right.
So let him like, hey, you want this.
You are old enough to chew.
Okay, fine.
Go ahead.
But if it comes that whack-out-thag, you're gonna keep her like that.
I just believe we're taking great.
I didn't stay in that photo.
Oh, my God.
She wants equal embarrassment.
Yeah.
If we had embarrassment on our banks, you're going to have embarrassment with your perm.
I agree.
I do.
100%.
But Perch are expensive.
And he can't come and be like, ooh.
Yeah, right.
And that's one thing.
If it comes out, it doesn't come out good.
Sorry, baby boy, you ain't doesn't it?
You got to keep it.
You got to keep it?
Keep those rubber bands on your hand, rubber band, man.
Two months.
I love it.
Rubber band, man.
All right, we got Liz on the line.
Liz from Corona.
Liz, good morning, Liz.
Good morning, Brownback.
Hi, Lynn.
All right, Liz.
So our girl, Denise, she's hitting us up.
She has a 14-year-old about to go to high school.
he wants the broccoli cut really bad.
Like mom, I want the broccoli cut,
which is basically like a bunch of curls on top of his head.
Cut really nicely.
It looks really cool.
But he has straight, straight hair.
Maruchang.
It's not curly at all.
No wave to it.
So his cousin told him, if you want to do this, I could cut it,
but you need to get a perm first.
Denise is tripping.
She's like, I don't know.
I'm scared of perm.
What if it's a bad perm job?
What if it looks like ramen noodles?
Yeah, what if he makes it later?
And also, this is my baby growing up.
Yeah.
You know, she's a single mom.
This is her high school.
Yeah, he's her writer die.
You don't even like.
You don't need to carry your own kids.
Liz.
Liz on the line, what would you say?
I say let him do it.
Why, I have a 13-year-old daughter.
Okay, so she's going into eighth grade now.
Sixth grade, I, for her birthday, let her dye her hair blue.
When I tell you it's blue, it was blue.
Like Smurf blue?
Like Carol G?
Like smurf balloon
Exactly
Like this, bro
You know what
I tell them like
You know what
Let them do it
They're kids
I dyed my hair
I did some crazy stuff
Shoot my own hair
So let them do it very young
And he's a boy
You know what
If it doesn't look good
Buzz it off
He'd go home
Go to school balls
A cholillo
Yeah
You know
You know you're a boy
He's a boy
You guys
If the boys get easier at like short cuts and get it to kick it off, we don't.
We have to grow it out.
Yeah, it's true.
Like little pixies.
It looked like my brother for like five years until it grows out.
No, thank you, Mama Cita.
Thank you for that.
She makes sense.
Look, we got Monique from Chino on the line.
Monique.
Yes.
Good morning, Brombe.
Good morning, Monique.
Monique, you actually have kids in your family that did the perms?
What?
Yeah, my grandson, who.
12 and my nephew who's 10 they just put a perm.
Shut up.
Is it to get that cut?
Yep.
What?
Okay.
And I have a grandson who has natural curly hair and he makes fun of them because his hair is naturally
like ha ha.
Yeah.
You got fake curls.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it looks good.
It came out okay.
Okay.
What does it came out okay me?
Yeah.
Okay.
What is it?
Okay.
Yeah.
Could you tell the one that has natural curls that?
and the ones that have perm curls?
Oh, yeah, definitely, definitely.
Why, they look like pearls?
Yeah, because it's a tighter curl.
It's a tighter curl.
Oh, my gosh.
That's funny.
Yeah, but like straight hair, like straight hair, and now they have curly hair.
Wow.
Who took them?
And so it's your grandson and your nephew.
Who took them to get the perm?
Their mothers, did you take them?
Yeah.
No, no, both their mothers took them.
I think my nephew, his mom,
have done it because she does hair.
Oh, okay.
Because we're trying to even
get the price on it. Because Greg says
his sister was going to charge him
$300 for it.
Well, for my grandson,
I think they only paid $120.
He doesn't have a lot of hair.
It's not like that.
Your sister doesn't love him.
That's great. Thank you for that.
His sister's not in Palmdale.
Okay?
Sister was about to make her own car payment.
Yeah, Greg sister's trying to get a come up
on him.
All right.
But it looks good on them.
You love them.
It looks good.
Yes.
No, it really does look good.
And their boys, if it didn't come out,
or you just shave their head.
Everybody.
Like, it's so easy.
We're just test dummies over here.
Just be bald.
Have you heard the types of jokes that your grandson
that has natural curly hair tells on the fake curly hair guys?
Yeah.
My grandson, well, they called him.
each other after he did his sperm.
And he thought, oh, how do you like
looking at somebody with natural curly
hair? And he said, you just look like
an, he said, you just look like an Edgar.
Wow.
And Edgar's an insult.
Yeah. Thank you so much. Yeah.
So if Hector, Hector just needs to be ready, like
because this can come with jokes.
Yeah. Because if you, let's say you're in ninth grade, right?
But the kids that went to middle school
with you, they remember your straight hair, Hector.
Now all of a sudden, you're curly hair, Hector.
All of a sudden.
All of a sudden.
So you got ramen noodles on your head.
Look who goes to the hair salon.
All right, Mr. Broccoli.
Oh, and they do it in a hair salon?
They're going to roast it even more.
Yep.
Yeah, I'll must start a perm business.
Oh, gosh.
$300.
Christopher.
Lancaster.
These are very expensive.
I might do it.
They are.
This is like the new lash tech.
Brownback perms.
Bromack perms.
Hey, Christopher.
We got Christopher from Lancaster on the line.
Chris.
What's up, Brombeck?
What's up, bro.
Thank you for listening to us all the way in Lancaster, bro.
I know it's far.
and then there's mountain areas,
and we kind of sound off right now.
Like, you're, we're,
scratchy.
Yeah, but thank you so much for listening to us.
Of course, of course.
I suggest let him get it done.
He's a man.
He's a man.
He's a man.
He's 14.
He's a grown man already.
He's like it.
At least she gets to say, I told you so.
True.
Moms love that.
We love that.
Oh, my God.
We love that, Chris.
He loves saying that.
It's our favorite.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So what you can do, though, a little tip I did it myself,
because I wanted curly hair so bad and I have straight, straight hair.
I used to get my hair braided and just shower the whole week with the hair like that.
Just don't undo them, just shower, shower, and then when you finally take them off,
get it's curly.
Get it's gel, and trust me, it'll work.
Wow.
Look at that.
Wow.
It'll work.
That makes sense.
Because when I do braids on my hair and they take them off, it's so bad.
beautiful.
I feel like that.
I think it feels amazing.
Yeah.
All right.
We got Justice on the line.
Hey, what's up, Justice?
Justice.
Justice.
Good morning, Jess.
Good morning.
How are you doing?
How are you having your breakfast, Taco?
Actually, I had it yesterday.
Okay.
Justice, what do you have to say to Denise about her son who's 14 going into high school?
What is, has to get a perm in order to get this cut he likes because he has really straight
and she's really tripping about letting him do it or not.
Well, you know, like, every initiative, right, we have our own unique hair and our own style.
I think, as far as myself being black, I've seen my sisters go through the whole perm stage, and it just wasn't great.
Eventually, their hair will eventually start to mess up.
I think this is the time as a parent.
You got to be a parent and not the friend.
Shee.
Like my mom used to tell me, I'll pay for your haircuts,
so you're going to get what I get.
So I rock the feed, like, almost my whole life.
Wait, Justice, you have like a perm, don't you?
No, it's a wig.
It got me too, Justin.
Because his mom wouldn't let him get the perm.
I see you, Justin.
Yeah.
So by me being taco, man, I had an opportunity to do what I was.
To get the perm you always wanted?
Check that mom.
I'm favorite.
I'm living my dream.
Okay, so you saw...
That was my moment.
You saw your sisters get perms, and I know that it's a process.
I've seen girls go through that.
It's a long process.
And for boys to go through that, and then it messes up, then you're bald?
Bald.
Oh.
Yeah, it's going to mess up your hair.
And then potentially, all right, so what happens if...
Okay, we say, hey, let him do it, let him do it.
See?
And then he get a complete bar patch, and he can never grow it back right there.
Oh, yeah, that can happen.
Now you bring your kids.
Doesn't burn your head or something like that?
Like, you can do it wrong?
Yeah, if you leave it in too long.
And now you're kidding going through depression.
Yeah.
So now you've made life even worse.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, everybody makes fun of them too.
Thanks a lot.
Because if you're from where I'm from, you know, L.A., just like how I'm from, we would tear you up in school.
We were a roast.
Yeah.
All of a sudden you got a bald patch?
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's worse than just being broccoli.
That part.
Geez, he makes a point.
If it's bad, it can be bad.
But if it's good.
Really good.
Got to take the chances.
Life is about taking wigs.
Hair's a wrist, carnal.
Hair's a wrist.
And then you can always just put a little wig, right?
Like, Justin?
No.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
One of our listeners, DM does hair by Mrs. Casares.
She said I'm a stylist and Aze.
and I did a perm yesterday on a boy
they're 100% safer and better
looking than the 80s and 90s.
You could wash your hair after 24 hours
but you just can't shampoo it
and the perm only takes two hours
and then 25 minutes to process the solution.
How much it charged?
She gave all the answers.
Well, that's crazy.
Maybe your sister just didn't want you to get the perm
and so she gave you the highest price
to know you wouldn't do it.
Greg is heated right now.
I'm like, oh, great noise.
He has to say, well, work.
And how much is it in Arizona?
Are you going to go to Arizona?
If it's cheaper.
Yeah, it'll be cheaper to get a fly.
It's like 60 bucks.
Maybe.
Oh, my God.
Emily, we got Emily from Northridge.
What's up.
Emily.
Hi, Emily.
I was about to say hi.
You said hi, Emily.
Hi, Emily.
Say hi to yourself, too.
Self talk is important.
Yeah.
All right.
Self-lane.
Good morning, Momazita.
Talk to us.
What would you tell Denise?
Well, first I wanted to shout out my brother.
Daniel because last year I went through the same situation starting ninth grade he
wanted a perm he wanted the broccoli haircut and it was easy to convince my
mom I guess because all my mom wanted was him to just be having a have a good haircut
and not have his hair in the face not have it long like my parents just hate him
having this long hair.
Like, he has to be made pinnado.
Right.
So my mom did tell him that if he did get a perm, he had to be responsible and take care of it
and not, like, mess with the curls and stuff and, you know, maintain it, get the right
products for it.
Also, something that, something else that we did do was that my other sister, she did help him
and try, like, doing, like, like, the pin curls and stuff.
to get an idea on what it would look like.
Yeah, and then he still wanted to move forward with it.
So we're like, okay, like, that's fine.
Then we'll go and get, so that you can go get your perm.
But we did not go the expensive route.
How much was it?
The $300 route.
The great sister route.
So my mom has had her hairstylist, has had her hairstylist like for years.
So we actually, I think.
she paid like 25 to 30 bucks to get it done.
What?
Oh my God.
Don't tell me it's a bad night.
Twenty-five.
Yeah, where's it at?
You're in Northridge.
Where's it at?
No, well, I live in Northridge, but my mom, she lives, like, in Watts.
So I don't know if Denise would want to go and pull up.
I thought it was patia la pellucera.
No, in the valley?
Yeah.
Okay, so he got it done for 25 bucks.
How does it look?
It looked really good.
So actually, the first time he got the.
the perm done.
Uh-huh.
He was not careful about it, and he just kept messing with it and running his
head, his fingers through his head, and it didn't, like, curl as much as it should have.
So he messed up.
So then it took a while again, we kind of let him go through it, but, you know, that it was
kind of messed up just to let him suffer.
Yeah.
I love us.
I did take him again to get it done.
And then the curl, and since he had already had that perm, and the perm did again, it, like,
took the curl again a little bit better and it looked really, really nice.
And then he got like the fade in the bottom and made it look nice.
And yeah.
So he's going into 10th grade now?
He's going into 10th grade now.
Does he die the broccoli could?
No.
This past summer, he hasn't gone back to get his perm done.
So he's kind of let it go out.
And now he doesn't even know what kind of haircut he wants.
So it was just a phase.
Oh, yeah.
He got over it.
He got it.
He's over it.
He's over it.
Oh, yeah.
Wait till they get a load of that.
Yeah, we'll get a lot of that.
The banks?
The dyed banks, too.
The beach banks and balls.
Yeah, that was crazy.
So then there's this, too.
You have to keep repurming it then, I'm assuming.
Maintaining it.
At least a $25.
Yeah, the $25.
That's really cheap.
No, yeah, you got to maintain it.
It's like, you know, it's like anything.
You got to maintain it.
Why does this make me want to perm?
Stop.
This should do it for $25.
After the girl from Arizona was like,
and it's actually really safe.
Like, I now feel like I won't end up looking like Ramona
and her five-year-old picture.
Which, by the way, I hope it's up right now.
Brow back mornings 106 on Instagram.
Our producer Ramona, her parents gave her a perm
when she was five years old, bro.
You have to go look at this thing.
We need to see some perm photos.
This looks, yeah, please send over the perm photos.
I want to see them.
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, when she's,
the girl from AZ is hitting you up and saying,
like, it's actually this in two hours.
And I'm like,
Why?
I feel like I would look like
90s Mariah Carey.
Like, you know she had curly hair?
That's what I want.
90s Mariah Carey?
Yeah, I wish I had curly hair.
Try it.
It might be like, hey, love.
It's not going to be no 90s Mariah.
No, it's fine.
Don't be rude, bro.
You're just mad that your sister
did charge you with 300 bucks.
Yeah, I was going to be expensive.
I'm mad now.
All right.
It's so cheap.
All right.
Well, I think we helped her.
I think so.
I hope so.
Yeah.
You have options of ways to try.
You could braid your hair.
That one.
Wash it.
That's a good idea.
To see how it looks, all of that.
Yeah, let him learn.
We can see if Justice does this barred one of the wigs that you can hang that on.
Yeah.
Which, by the way, he fooled me.
I thought that was really hidden.
No.
No.
No, he fooled me.
And then, or before getting to the perm.
Okay.
And then there's a lady in Watts, $25.
$25.
That's it.
Turn that great.
Like, hit us up right now.
If you are trying to go to six flags or a cane harper.
Just don't go with a perm.
Just don't go with a perm.
Just don't go to perm.
I don't wash it out.
Crazy.
Keep it here.
It's 5-06.
Hey, what are you doing over there?
Sambra Sala with Anci.
No one heard anything.
No?
I thought they did it at the same time.
Ready?
Set, go.
Hey, Letty.
Oh, listen to for the Friday.
A-5.
A-five.
Air-five.
Air-five.
This is this cool new thing we're doing
because you guys love someone.
You can't get enough.
But you don't want to stay in your car.
Same time.
Two seconds of the same time.
Should you get the side of the speaker,
you want to hear it.
All right.
Can we do some of the salad just for here right now?
I said okay.
Okay, okay.
Okay, go ahead.
The word is.
Sit, sit, sit, sit.
I'm gonna do it.
Spoting with the Army.
See,
I'm a lot.
I'm a lot.
Brings from this is like,
so,
don't you know I'm new?
What?
Reven.
Don't you know I'm local?
My ears just...
I did.
It was definitely in there.
It was definitely in there.
We're going to just playing the guy in the other room?
All right.
Angie, please.
Okay, okay.
No, no.
But for real, for real.
The sisters are fighting.
And I'm not talking about my sisters.
We're always fighting.
But it's actually Nicky Manash and her little sister,
Me.
What?
So, me, she's 18.
But, like, this whole year,
she's been going on a lot.
like interviews and the whole time she's been talking about like her sisterhood with
Nikki Minaj and she was just talking about like how when she was in school she would get
bullied all the time saying like well if Nikki's your sister they why doesn't she help you and
this and that right right and so she's talking yeah yeah yeah so she's talking pretty much about
Nikki all the time listen needed her to help me get to my goal I just needed her to see that
I can do it and she can be proud of me without having to think that I needed to have an easy
to get to the top.
I used to have this urge of just trying to impress my sister.
We was never close.
She'd be busy and stuff like that.
I'd be doing my too.
So she's always said it.
They don't have a relationship,
that close of a relationship,
which makes sense because Nikki's like,
she's a lot older than,
I think about the time she was born,
based on the age,
it seems like she was already kind of doing stuff
with her career, she's popping.
And this is a half-sister.
Mm-hmm, the sister half-sister.
Yeah, that's also,
important. That's one of her parents
are their children. Yeah. Right.
Yeah. So, I mean, that gap is
a big deal. It is. It's 22 years.
Oh, wow. Yeah. You're an adult.
So it's like if you're not taking the time to go visit
or you live with them, you're really just living your life already.
No, exactly. Yeah, and it's weird. I'm just wondering
like, who keeps interviewing her? Like, you know what I'm saying?
Because it's like, you know, it's, what is she?
Like, yeah, like, it's her sister.
Like, that's kind of it.
You know what I'm saying?
But also I can feel like for her, because I don't know what it's like to be in that position of like, oh, my sister's super famous.
And like, she must have this like complex of like, I have to be just as famous.
Or I have to do like, she's like, oh, I just want to make her proud of me and stuff like that.
Like that must be tough like to kind of grow up with that.
Like, oh, there's like this huge mountain to climb.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like instead of just being a regular person.
When I was younger, my brother would compete with me with DJing.
But he would make me so mad because I was underage and I couldn't DJ the clubs.
And he was older.
He would be DJing all these crazy clubs.
And I'm going to be so much better than you one day.
Now he doesn't even DJ.
You know, I'm going to.
Okay, Greg.
Lay it off your chest.
Get it, Greg.
You get it, Greg.
You get it, Ming.
Get it.
I'm also thinking too because I have a half-brother and I love our relationship.
He's 12 years older than I am.
He showed me hip-hop.
Shout out Jerry.
But it could have been really different.
He could have been resentful towards myself and my sister
because we are children of his dad who left his mom, you know?
And that's a very real thing because you have to, I guess,
you have to grapple with the fact that this is a kid from your dad and someone else.
Yeah.
Right.
It's not you.
And maybe you can't express it to your parents.
You may express it to the kid.
I'm not saying that Nikki did, but also in her end, like,
why should I have a relationship with you?
Yeah.
You know?
I might be nice to you and all of this
but even me being poppin doesn't mean
I should have a relationship with you
if I never really did before
and you're a kid of my dad
I don't know your mom or I'm not
speculating for it where she knows the mom or not
but this is a whole separate family
that's a real thing. Yeah you're right
I guess I was thinking it because I do have half siblings
my two older sisters actually
but I grew up with them. Yeah so to me
it's like I've never seen them like
oh you're my half sister or anything like that
so this day it's like you guys saw me
grow up.
Yeah.
So to me it was just like a little weird.
So then Nikki did go on live and then she was saying like, hey, if they even want to interview you, shouldn't you be talking about yourself, then why keep talking about me?
Listen.
Or who has never been successful in your line of work is doing interviews.
I think y'all think talent, like you could catch it like a cold or maybe people could pass through the jeans.
Even with blood relation, what God has given to me is mine.
You have to go and get your own.
You have to discover whatever it is that you're great at.
Being a mooch and a clown don't run in my DNA.
So that was the case.
Yeah, that's crazy.
It's very hard.
It's very telling.
Yeah.
The what?
Same could be said by you, brother.
I know.
I smoked a lot.
Yeah.
No, you're kidding.
No, you didn't.
Very, very hard.
But it's very telling.
You can tell that there's some estrangedness.
Yeah.
It's strange.
And it sucks because there's no way of, like, Nikki,
um, combating the fact that that's her sister.
She can't be like, that's not my sister.
It's like, no, yeah, like it is.
But it's like she's on that side and I don't really know that.
Like she has to try to distance herself as much as possible because, yeah, like what the sister is doing, what's her name?
Ming?
Ming is just like, yeah, you're just talking about your sister.
You don't even know that well, you know, it seems like.
So it's like, yeah, that's weird.
Yeah, no.
So Ming did reply back on a comment and she's like, I still love her.
I tried as a sister to please her, but I realize I got to please.
God first because I only he can judge me the gift he gave me.
Yeah.
She don't even know you.
Yeah.
I know.
That's what I think she's giving the Pobrecyta kind of.
Yeah.
I think she genuinely is like, oh my God.
Like I'm Nikki-Nogynist.
Yeah.
I have to be great.
I have to be an entertainer.
She looks a lot like her too.
Yeah.
They look very similar.
You know, there, there's a lot.
And granted, the jeans and all of that.
But there, there comes these things.
where these are sins of your parents, if we want to call it that, of like they're leaving
your family, the end of the family.
It's not to blame on the children.
However, if you don't have a relationship, you get pop in, then you see one of the kids
being like, yeah, that's my sister and blah, blah, blah, and look at my, and I'm just like,
and then it's going to irk you.
Like, what do you mean?
Like, yeah, we are, but it's like, I don't even know you like that.
And it's also, to me, it would be so much better if Ming were to go on and do her own thing.
And then we find out, oh my God, did you?
You know that's Nikki Munaj's half-sister?
That would be so cool.
You know what I'm saying?
Like LeBron James, for example, I think he has like some half-siblings because like his dad is like a strange, right?
So it's like there could be somebody around this like, oh my God, I'm LeBron's brother.
But it's like whatever, until you like do your own thing, you have your own identity, then you're like, oh, also LeBron's half-brother.
Like that's crazy.
In a way you get on their level.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Versus I'm going on a podcast talking about the relationship we do or do not have.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's your personal life.
You could go another route.
Yeah, exactly.
Because this route is working.
It is.
We're talking about her.
People know her, all of that.
They're not sure of a sister.
Yeah.
That part.
So it's tough out there because there's people that aren't even related to you that's going to use your name and their proximity to you to be popping.
I knew them once.
Dude, Dreamville told me one day, one time we went backstage at a, at a J. Cole concert.
And Ibrahim, who's the president of Dreamville and J. Cole's partner, he's like, because
It was me and Jorge.
And so he's talking to Jorge about Nipsey's sister.
Nipsey has a sister.
Shout to Samantha.
And he's like, yeah, you know, like,
while we're always looking up Samantha?
No, no, we're always looking up Nip's sister.
We got you.
We all love, I'll love.
And I was like, I didn't know Samantha.
Like, like, J-Cole like this.
And he's like, Samantha.
He's like, no, and he tells me another girl's name.
Someone that is not even related to Nip at all.
You're kidding.
Told them.
And then they have like a similar, like a real.
Retriean background.
Yeah.
And so Eib recognized that and was like,
okay, say Les,
your Nip sister,
we got you what you need,
blah, blah,
this and that's horrible.
And then you find out like,
bro, that's not even...
Why do I feel like I know
who you're talking about?
Me too.
It's crazy.
It's crazy.
Oh my God.
And shout of Samantha,
because she deserves it.
It's actual sister,
but it's,
you'll find that people end up doing these things.
Just like leech up.
Yeah, so then it's like when it's an actual
family member doing it to trip.
Yeah, yeah.
It's wild, bro.
It happens.
It happens.
Yeah.
All right.
That's it for Sombrasad.
I'm Angie from Brownback Mornings.
I'm Power 106.
Okay.
And you guys, it is time for the Brownback Olympics.
Sorry, Greg.
Time for the Brownback Olympics.
If you were here yesterday, you saw what went down.
A cheater?
We did a trial by listener.
Yes, the listeners chose.
We had an accusation, and I do think that it's unjust to my client.
It's unjust.
Because all you guys did is accuse him, and now he has to prove you guys wrong.
but like your accusation came from nowhere.
Yeah, which is birth certificate.
I have support from people all over the world.
America and Spain teamed up in an alliance.
Yeah, we did.
To get El Salvador out.
El Salvador, how many medals did you have previous to this?
You had like all.
Too many to count.
Yeah.
More than my hand.
You basically took all the gold medals but won and you had a silver and
America had one gold medal, right?
Yeah.
To his name.
But they got you out.
We took phone calls.
And I'm not going to say anything, but Irene does answer, and it was for America.
Accusation.
Yeah.
There's an alliance going on here against me, but my people from El Salvador are with me.
And actually, people all over the world are supporting me.
All over the world?
Yes.
No.
There are so many people.
We had a conversation going on.
There's more people ever to support me.
The biggest crowd.
The biggest crowd.
The biggest crowd.
The biggest.
Let me tell you.
So a listener called it and said, we have to disqualify you.
Maximo.
And you know we love listening
to listeners here.
We do start enhancing drugs.
Yeah, I'm going to start canceling them.
However, my mother is of Salvadorian descent.
My mom is born in San Salvador.
Grew up in La Union.
So I will volunteer's tribute
to sub in for a team Ossevado.
So I will say that I'm happy
that the gold is going to stay here
because I have nothing but believe.
A, hey, hey, hey.
And in two pockets from the West Coast
and Sonora of Mita is from El Salvador.
It's not going.
If you do not win gold, all the accusations towards El Salvador is true.
How?
We're different athletes.
No, it's true.
This proves a point.
Cheating.
No.
No, it does.
The hate is a point.
But thank you.
Thank you for show you.
And if I win gold?
Then all the accusations are wrong.
And you're wrong.
And you're wrong.
Maximo could still be a cheater if Letti wins.
I am not here.
All right.
Alliance.
So coming back, we are going.
to do a brown bag Olympic game.
So since I am now Team El Salvador,
you have to be the host of this, okay?
Maximo.
Can you tell us a little bit
about the Brown Bag Olympic game?
What is this?
So in the Olympics,
there's a sport called wrestling.
And I asked HR if we can wrestle in here,
and they said, no, because somebody get hurt.
Good.
So I'm going to flip wrestling into a plank war.
Plank war.
So what is going to happen is El Salvador
will go versus Mexico.
Go.
Br.
Not the best friend.
And you would say we'll go against Spain and see how this alliance really is.
Uh-huh.
Oh, how bad do you guys really like each other or one gold?
You go on, you put yourself in plank position.
Okay.
And the first person to drop the other person while in plank position.
We're trying to sabotage the other person's plank.
Yes.
You don't hit the face, right?
We're not just slapping or anything.
You can only pull, like, whatever you want.
You want to slap me?
No.
No rules.
Sometimes I don't listen.
So we're going to time this.
So the first person that drops,
the fastest drops.
What if nobody drops?
We will see.
We will see.
This isn't fair.
Spain,
I wanted to fight the foreigners.
You wanted to fight Mexico.
You are the foreigners.
Yeah.
No sense.
All right.
Let us know if you're going to go for Mexico.
If you're going to go for Spain,
if you're going to go for the USA,
or if you're going to go for the USA, or if you're going to go.
If you're going for.
Let's go.
I'm more scared of this.
And it's time.
Our first competitors.
What is it time for what?
For Plank Wars.
What do we do?
Brownback Olympics is here.
They robbed me from me competing.
We didn't rob.
But I still believe in my fellow Salvadorian.
My fellow Salvadorian Letty is going to get this.
I got you.
So the competition, there we go.
The competition is that we're going to have Plink wars.
So each member is going to get on the plink
and the first person that dropped the other person is going to win.
We're going to time it.
So based off time is who's going to get the gold, the silver, and the bronze.
Yeah.
All right?
Sounds good.
And right here, the USA in Spain are trying to plot something.
USA, USA, Spain.
They were.
They were.
They're in Banya.
They're lading.
So whatever they're about to do, they're either going to, they're going to rig it.
They're going to sabotage their own gameplay.
They're either going to fall at the same time.
They're going to try to do it.
Wow. So there's two players on El Salvador that have to come up with one concept, but me and Spain can't come up with a concept.
You try to kick me out.
What's your idea?
There's two of you.
At least you said it out loud.
That's only one of us each.
There's one of us each.
Why are you whispering in his ear?
That sounds.
That looks pretty sad.
What?
We can't, one country can't whisper in another country here anymore.
What's right with that?
When did this become legal?
All right.
Well, it's time.
It's time, you guys.
All right.
And first up.
USA.
America's about to sell out to Spain.
Here we go.
Let's see who paid the most.
Verses?
Who?
Verses.
And, hey, don't be fooled, America.
Spain was doing this in his ears.
Spain has the least amount of medals.
Don't fall for his tricks.
Not true.
Let's get in plain position.
Plank position.
Here we go.
USA versus Spain.
Whoever does it fastest.
And we're going going live on Instagram.
Brownback Mornings 106 on Instagram.
We're going live.
We're going live.
Here we go.
USA.
Spain.
They don't want to crease the kicks.
Here we go.
Plank position.
Oh.
Plank position.
They're going down.
Do a pushup real quick.
Hey.
Oh, Spain is doing pushups to show off his strength.
Okay.
Get tired.
All right.
Count.
Count.
Count.
Okay.
Count.
Three.
Wait, who's timing?
Who's timing?
Three.
Three.
Two.
One and they're off.
They're competing.
Oh, the longest time gets no medals.
They're not too many.
Yeah.
Longest time gets no medals.
Stupid plan.
Yeah.
They're planning to stay still.
Wow.
Go ahead.
This is funny because they're not going to win any go.
Yeah, one of you have to drop.
Yeah, it makes no sense for you guys.
This is a really dumb plan, America.
Spain, you thought of this.
Yeah, I could tell.
Come on.
Yeah.
They're still just plank.
They're still just planking.
So someone has to drop.
They don't want to compete.
Whatever.
One of them is going to be weak and just fall.
Spain and America, neither of these people want to be great.
Yeah, Spain looks like he's going to fall.
America says Spain up.
They're just suffering for nothing.
Yeah, go ahead.
And we said we got.
What a plan.
What a plan.
I mean, we don't want to tell the foreigners.
Yeah.
They might take it.
This is a good plan.
You guys are not doing anything.
This is crazy.
Crazy. They're planning to not compete.
Vic is doing like a pyramid. He's not even planking.
Wow. I'm so excited. Oh, Big love!
Hey.
Hold on. Did you guys understand the rules?
They didn't. They're stupid. They're stupid. They're stupid. You have to compete.
Big's about to hit each other's arm.
And then America's about to get third at least. Yeah. Yeah. What is the time on that?
Something. No, you. Yeah, it's timed, right?
Yeah, it's a minute.
But it's not how long you blank.
Whoever drops the fastest, stupid.
Whoever drops the fastest.
It doesn't make any sense.
The fastest person to drop the other person wins.
I don't understand that.
You guys said who lasts a longest.
It doesn't make sense.
You blank and you have to drop the other person by hitting their arms.
I didn't ask them like, oh my God, are we slapping for real?
They thought they were going to do that so they could stay the longest so they got one and two.
Oh my God.
God.
Well, look, rigged!
Rigged!
I think had to recal.
Angie, let's do it.
Angie, let's do it.
Riggled.
The rules are different now, huh?
Okay, after the break, after the break, okay, we'll do it.
This is hilarious.
I can't believe you guys actually...
Stay in school.
These guys...
From the jump, it's whoever drops the fastest,
the fastest time to drop the other one wins gold.
All of a sudden, yeah, it's rigged.
This is wild.
Running the tape back.
Running you guys don't listen.
I was like, hey, so if we stay, if none of us drop the other, then we're going to be the longest.
You know what, we'll be back.
One and two.
One and two.
We'll be back.
And we are back.
And we're going to investigate Greg because he was on all five.
Yeah.
All fours.
All five?
Whoa.
Bro.
How do you even know?
A brownback fan said that he took a PED.
Yeah.
Okay.
Now we're just accusing him.
Yeah.
What did the brownback fan say, Irene?
It's a PRD.
Performance Rhino enhancer.
You took a rhino today?
P-R-E.
He would know.
That's how I stood up so easily up here.
I'm going to start doing push-up.
Greg.
I thought we're in the Lions,
bro.
I would have took one too.
They don't take one together?
No, separately.
To come to work?
Separately.
To come at work?
Separally at the same time.
See how you guys align.
All right.
So before the break,
Spain and America thought they were doing something.
We did.
We remained united.
Yes.
I don't know. America said he was the end up trying this little.
Everybody has thoughts. Everybody has evil thoughts.
You had intrusive thoughts.
And the idea of the game was to battle a prank war.
Yeah.
And it was to drop somebody.
Yeah.
You have to drop each other.
The fastest.
And them two decided to be in a lion.
We remain the longest.
Stay at the longest, which in a race.
Play Patty.
It doesn't make sense.
What was their time?
What was the time that America finally dropped Spain because Spain's booties too big?
and he couldn't stay in flank position.
One minute, eight seconds.
One minute eight seconds.
Angie, all we have to do is be faster than that.
Be faster than that at dropping each other.
Yeah.
And then...
So you guys are gonna fight each other.
Wow.
That's crazy.
Spain and America would never.
Yeah.
You actually do and you probably have.
You guys sword fight.
Yeah.
All right.
Whoa.
It's time.
Who versus who?
Hey.
Mexico.
Half my body wants to dance.
Half my body wants to dance.
Hold it.
Get it.
Go and do it.
El Salvador.
That's why they're going to have everybody.
Play position.
Yeah, you're wrapping your south side.
And it's time.
Turning on Mexico, huh?
Mexico versus El Salvador.
Let's go.
You guys are going to fight each other.
Get to the war.
Doesn't sound very aligned of you guys to fight each other.
Here we go.
El Salvador.
Hey, Angie, El Salvador said you have no chance.
you have no chance yeah yeah here we go my playing position let's get the time
ready to go Mona here we go three two one oh go oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
yes Mexico to make time Mexico had their knee down before yeah I was not
gonna for second oh I was not gonna fight her exactly no she turned on you you
she turned on you
She knows I love her.
Guess who's
rules a line
right here,
Spain and USA.
Let's go.
Let's go.
And the gold.
Stay's in house.
Bay,
A pupe.
Hey!
Zipada!
Rigg.
Oh,
man.
They change the players
and they still get the gold.
Yeah, that's great.
No.
No.
You know, we're athletic.
Okay.
Now we have to see
who gets
the second.
Oh.
Angie.
Versus.
Game America
versus.
Border.
Wars, border wars.
Let's go.
Okay, if I beat you, do I get citizenship?
Let's go USA!
It's time for the battle of silver.
Why did you whisper in?
Why don't they're all making a license?
No, why did they whisper?
What is my wife?
Okay, to take the stage.
All she said was, I love you.
Yeah, yeah, right.
Take the stage, first.
Remember what she knocked you down like that?
That's good.
And it's time.
No
It's time
I say we just disqualify America
For having taken a rhino
He really did
I don't know it's very possible
We'll see right now
It's American made
Okay they're taking their positions
Three
Get close
Two
One
Go
Oh
Oh
Lachie Yankee
Oh
Mexico playing dirty
Mexico
That is threat to me
Oh my god
This house
Every day
America
USA
I told you to do
Oh my God
Oh my God
Mexico went crazy
Played hella dirty
No
That's how you play
That's how you play
No
You guys are like patty cake
No
No
Mexico did not have
that same energy
for El Salvador
I didn't have a medal
for her to grab
Or sunglasses
No
She didn't much
on the face
He took the win!
You didn't take the win.
Calm down. I got gold. She got gold.
And silver goes to
Cheating as America. Yes. USA.
Silver like that right now I took.
We're going to have to investigate him.
The fact that he keeps festing up that he took one and you guys are okay with it,
but then you got this qualified Salvador yesterday.
Get him out of here. I don't know.
He's been doing it this whole time.
What do you mean?
Dude, you fed some...
I thought him crush up a rhino and smell it.
Okay.
Please give Angie her bronze.
She's a lot.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Bronze.
Let's go.
You look real sad, Spain.
You look real sad, Spain.
No, I'm fine.
America's using you.
I hope you know.
America's using Spain.
I'm watching all this corruption.
It's okay.
El Salvador comes again with another ball, brother.
And I think that means that you come back tomorrow to represent El Paso.
Let's go.
They're scared of me.
I know it.
Yeah.
Please leave.
Please leave Mexico alone.
Right?
Nah.
That was a crazy.
Mexico.
That was attacked.
No, because Mexico did not have the same energy for El Salvador, but all of a sudden.
And America didn't have the same energy for Mexico that he did with Spain.
Yeah, but we're talking about our alliance.
Our alliance is outward.
This is NATO.
My alliance is my best friends.
Angie, they are ganging up on you so much Mexico.
I think tomorrow you should take the day off Mexico.
Thank you.
And since I have Mexican heritage.
Tomorrow, I will sub in for the nation of Mexico.
Scrolling with the homies.
Let me move over, Ossimpic, because Tadpole water is going to have everybody snatched.
Tadpool water.
Little frogs.
Like baby frogs?
Looks like it.
But it's not baby frogs.
Tadpool water is the newest trend on TikTok, and people are saying they're losing weight
from it.
This TikTok, ticotker by the name of Mariah, she's going viral, going viral telling everybody how much she's weight she's lost from just this simple little drink.
Listen to this.
Tadpole water, whatever you want to call it, I can confirm it does work for weight.
But I haven't been drinking this for like three or four days now and I've lost three pounds.
It's like a pound a day basically.
But does it taste good?
No, the texture is funky and it tastes funky too.
But if it helps, it helps.
It makes me gag, but it's okay.
It's okay.
It's worth it.
It's so nasty.
So she's drinking the water in the TikTok.
Okay, but is that like all she's drinking like the whole day?
Yes.
Because it's a little gel like water.
Like the, what it is basically is chia seeds.
Chia seeds.
I like chia seeds.
Yeah.
Seas seeds are far.
Chia seeds, lemon and warm water.
But when the seeds hit the water, it's supposed to expand or something like that.
And make it very jelly.
They're like, oh, okay.
So when it goes into your stomach, it's supposed to make it feel like you've eaten a full meal.
But it looks like tad pool.
when you're drinking it.
You're going to be so malnutrition.
That's crazy.
You need more than that, like, to just, what?
Tadipo water.
Yeah.
That's gross.
What have you guys done to lose weight besides exercise?
Eat expired food.
What?
I was going to say, I think I got, like, the run.
Yeah, give yourself food poisoning.
What I do right now is eat only once a day.
I don't eat at all after that.
So I'll eat, like, one meal.
I starve myself.
I did something crazy.
I go to sleep hungry.
I don't know.
who invented this, but my mom was at her job, and someone had like this, like, fungus water.
And it was like, I swear.
And, like, it multiplies so crazy.
So you have them, and I don't know, you put it in water and they multiply.
And you're supposed to drink, like, the water.
And you're supposed to throw it away because it multiplies so much.
Yeah.
And it's supposed to help you cleanse and lose weight.
What do you mean?
It's alive?
It's a bacteria that's live?
And it meets you inside.
Well, bacteria is alive, Angie.
Well, I know, but I mean, no, it's like a, I don't know what it's called.
But my mom, like someone from another country that she was working with was like,
yo, this is what we do.
And it helps, like, lose weight and cleanse your body.
You give yourself a parasite?
That's what it sounds like.
No, it's not a parasite.
No, it's not guisanos.
She's not lying.
I did.
I was a little.
Okay, I love her.
I forgot the name of it.
There's these little pills if you want to do the same thing.
And you took it?
It has minerals.
And you took it, my son?
Yes, I drank it for like a month.
And did you lose weight my single?
I felt good, yeah.
But did you lose weight?
Yeah, how much?
But, I mean, it's not like,
and anything you do,
like there's no solution
that you do this and you lose weight.
It takes like eating, right, exercising.
Of course, that's the healthy way.
You were taking that but also
staying on the same diet?
Like, you didn't change your diet or anything?
No.
Yeah, man, but I did it for like a month.
Or is that, all you drink?
Yeah, no, that's crazy.
It's like you're supposed to drink it
on an empty stomach in the morning.
I'm trying to find the name of it.
What have you done?
I'm just thinking he's.
You know in the movie, like the alien movie where the thing comes out of someone's stomach?
Like, I just feel like that's going to happen with Maximo.
No, no.
He's pregnant with a fungus alien right now.
I do not have tapeworm.
It's okay.
Wait, you see the crazy things?
This is like the flat tummy teeth.
What?
It's my mom's fault.
No, no.
Yes, let's be what you're saying.
Your mom didn't, first of all, your mom didn't tell you to do it.
She didn't say, hey, gordo, ven.
This is the same thing like the, like you're saying, the rice zempic or,
Or Zempick when people just eat just looking for shortcuts.
Yeah, that's what it is.
Instead of just working out.
And everyone knows if the shortcuts worked, we'd be taking them too.
For sure.
No, but there's always the side effects, though.
We just don't know about them in the moment,
but there's nothing that's like too good to be true.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, who knows what the Zemik stuff is going to do?
Later on.
Yeah, you lose your butt.
I guess it looks like they're winning.
It works, but later on, I guess we'll find out.
No, once, apparently once you get off,
you gain that weight all back again.
There was, oh yeah.
And you lose your butt, I'm telling you.
Oh, no.
What if you have no butt already?
Who, who? Long backs?
Your back is even longer.
I'm not sure what a war show was.
I think it was the Oscars.
And then the host made that joke, like,
hey, did you guys hear about the other,
like the other side effect of Ozempic
that it turns your bottom blue or purple?
Like he's, like, and then he's like,
everyone look around to who's checking their,
the bottom of their chair like who's looking right now that's taking ozambique that's good but then now i think
that that happens if you're on ozambic they get like all your butt turned out you turn into a smurf
yeah yeah all right well please don't try that thank you for sharing and just don't try it
just i want somebody to try to see if it works no you no no and that shouldn't be the only thing you
drink and just even if you lose
the weight, legit, like
if you're going to be unhealthy, you're going to faint.
Yeah. Think about the long term.
Don't make fun of us being
responsible for.
Okay, we got to talk about it.
Coming September 14th to Las Vegas,
okay, Mexican Independence Day weekend.
We're going to take the whole weekend.
Right in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month,
we got the fight between Canelo
and Berlanga, okay?
Yesterday they had a press conference at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
And it's so funny because I took Angie.
Yeah.
And she's like, I let me.
I get why you.
I love this sport.
I loved it.
I'm like, oh, my God, I need to start coming more.
So let me tell you about the undercard first and foremost,
Roli's going to fight again.
The last time we saw Roli was against people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes, bro.
I'll never forget.
You know what's funny because Roli's a character, bro.
Yeah.
So he's...
Unintentionally is the exact word.
So they're on these like bar stools type of seats.
And Angie's like, Letty, how can I take him serious?
He's swinging his leg.
Like, he's just like the whole time he's swinging his leg.
Like he's trying to talk smack, but he's just swinging his little legs.
And I'm like, Leffi.
And then I'm like, Angie, wait until he talks.
Yeah.
Because then he's like, it's the really show.
It's so funny.
Yeah.
And she's like, is he pretending his voice like that?
I'm like, no, it's kind of like Tyson.
It's kind of Tyson.
It's like a Tyson voice, and she's like, yeah, but Tyson is Tyson.
Yeah, you don't mess with Tyson.
Okay.
No, Roley's a good fighter, too.
Yeah, you don't mess with this guy either.
But he's swinging his little legs, and I'm like, oh, my gosh.
I do that too.
Okay.
And then also on the undercard is someone who's fought Canelo previously, Caleb Plant.
Caleb Plant is from Vegas or fights out of Vegas.
And Loki, when he fought Canelo, I was a little bit like, who is this guy?
he has hell of Mexican homies.
He's Loki like the Miklo of his crew.
Oh, okay.
Like, it's funny because when we pulled up,
Loki, there was like three cholos in front of us.
And it was crazy because I'm like,
the Beverly Hills Hotel's party, like, what is going on?
The people that are there to go to the polo lounge are like, what is her?
Exactly.
Oh, and Sharon.
Sharon did you see?
What is going on here?
They were just going to be the ballet drivers.
Right?
Your purse.
So tatted up, bald, like big jeans, all of that.
And I was like, wow, they must be some, like, hella Canelo fans.
No, they were Caleb Plans homie.
Wow.
Like, he really rose.
Even when he fought, when he fought Canelo in Vegas, the whole, like, I guess his, I guess
the lead-up, he's, like, rolling around Vegas in a lowrider.
Like, he's showing, like, I got this audience, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, Loki, he's a dog.
Like, when he fights.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, he got some hells, but he fights.
He hurts my trust with his fight against Canello for sure.
So he's fighting this guy, Trevor McCombie.
Angie, I just sent you the photo if you could put in the chat.
Trevor McCombie, I don't know this guy for nothing, right?
But he walked in with a 45 hat that said, Make America Great Again.
Then he has a Ford, like, truck hoodie.
It's camouflage.
It's a Camelod's a Ford hoodie, but it has, like, the emblem in the front.
And he wasn't trolling.
No.
I don't think so.
I hope not.
I'm trying to gather my.
Because he definitely shocked people because you're there for Kanelo more than likely the room is going to be more Latino than anything
It's very much shock value and then I'm not checking anyone's papers, but hey
You know what I think? Yeah, but he comes up and he's fighting Caleb Plant loki like
Caleb plan with all his Mexican homies
Yeah, and it just it just shows you like the differentiating
Types of fighters yeah and loki white fighters I was about to say and white people yeah
It's the white homie with the Mexican homies and it's the white homie with the Mexican homies and it's the white homie
me that wants to know where your paper's at.
If he wants to be around you or not.
And then this is happening on Mexican Independence Day.
So that alone is tripping me out.
I'm like, what's going on, bro?
But the people who make these fights are genius.
Yeah.
Because it's like, come on.
The matchmaking.
You know that like everything goes into it.
It's like we instantly are like, I want to see the guy with the 45 hat get beat up.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, instantly I'm like literally that guy came out first.
And I think they had just announced the lineup.
I didn't know who was going to be on the undercats.
card just yet. So they announced that guy
and I'm like, what? And they
even had like walkout music and all of that
and he pulls up and I was like, okay
whoever you're fighting, I'm going for.
Like I don't care who you're fighting. And then it's
Caleb and I was tripping out bro.
And then you know that like they're going to play into like
antagonizing the fans.
Like that. Like you can just tell already. It's like
being a heel. Yeah. You know what in wrestling.
So it's like oh okay, I see what's going on.
But at the same time it's like I know what's going
on and I want to watch it. Yeah.
You got to be there.
Do you happen to remember what song he
went up to or now? I don't remember what song he went up to. But I just like because his look was so
I guess shocking to me. Yeah. And honestly I know people wear that hat and to each their own and you
do it for your reasons. You know what it can signify to different people, especially ones that
happens look like us. It's just a big conversation even within our Latino community and even within
the Mexican community. However, I have never seen one live in person. I have never seen the hat live in person.
You never seen Big word?
I would never.
And it has 45 on you know.
It remind me of like the new errors have 42.
Yeah.
It has 45 on the side and make America great again on the front.
And I told Angie maybe he's changed it like make boxing great again.
She's like no, it's actual.
I'm like, I'm reading it.
It's probably from the first drop.
Yeah.
If it's 45.
Yeah.
That's why people don't wear red hats.
Yeah.
That's why people don't wear red hats because they look at you like, wait, what is that?
Yeah.
What is that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that happened and then these are just the undercards, dog.
And then it seemed to Canelo versus Berlanga.
Okay, this guy Berlanga, let me tell you about him because New York loves him.
He's Puerto Rican and this is definitely going to get racial.
Like, boxing gets racist.
Yeah.
It was already off the jump between like Mexicans and Puerto Ricans.
Like you could tell they were saying, we're exchanging words.
Not we, but the crew.
The crowd.
Not the crowd.
Let me.
I'm sorry.
I may have some things, but not racist one.
They were going back and forth saying things like in Puerto Rican, saying things in Mexican.
Because there's different types of Spanish.
That is.
Thinking about Canelo arguing with Puerto Rican and them trying to understand each other?
Set each other?
Yeah.
And Berlangas loved out there.
I was talking to my friend Deirdre.
Totally apart from when I was talking to the police officer.
Yeah.
Not different.
Different calls.
Wait.
I was talking to my friend.
Dear other police officer
You have two friends that are named you?
No relation.
But I was talking to her and she was telling me
she had went for the Yankees Dodgers
Yeah, yeah.
Over there in the series over there in New York.
And it was around the same time
of the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
And he was the Grand Marshal.
This is how much they loved this guy.
That's huge.
People love Edgar Berlanga.
His name's Edgar?
Yeah.
Oh.
He's like that.
I'm not supporting my Edgar.
Going down.
I'm not saying I am.
You're a kiddie.
You're going to get him.
His name's Edgar.
I do that Puerto Rico.
Have you ever been?
Yeah.
That's right.
I love that.
Mofongo.
You've been to Puerto Rico?
Yeah.
I've been there.
You've been there too?
Yeah.
I got to go now.
Yeah.
Brown bag broadcasting live of Puerto Rico.
Live from Puerto Rico.
All right.
So this guy has love, right?
And I know that the Puerto Ricans are going to show up, just like the Mexicans are
going to show up.
But it is Mexican independence day, bruh.
So there's just like this added, like, tension in the air.
And then Puerto Rico's still not independent.
There's still America's?
There's still property of America.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Oh, Danilo, hit him in the mafongos.
That's lucky what ended up happening while they're talking ish to each other.
I hope this is a good word to say in Puerto Rican puneta or is no, it's not.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
Like a hit?
I thought so.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Okay.
Well, but they're saying that and then there's other people on this side being like, oh,
there was someone in the crowd being like, yeah, Sientezza, seora, to Berlanga.
Yeah.
They did say that.
They're called him Bernalga?
Bernalga?
Like people are going in.
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
I loved, I loved just how everybody was going for Canelo.
Like, they love his English speaking sound.
Oh, yeah.
Like everybody's saying ever since Canelo learned English,
you awakened the whole different animal.
Yes.
And there's one Puerto Rican that is coming out to say,
hey, Canelo, you have no chance against Buranga.
No matter what happens.
Daddy Enki.
I'm a bad bunny.
All day.
Oh my God, it's a bad bunny?
No, it's Fat Joe.
How do I know?
It's Fat Joe.
And check this out.
Check what Fat Joe had to say.
Last Puerto Rican I brought out against a Mexican was named Tito Trinity.
I know.
That's what I don't.
And he won.
I know.
Why is that getting so mad right now?
Yeah.
He's like, if we're talking stats, let's get out of stats.
Yeah.
That's like a forever elf.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
So just know that the attentions are high, tensions are up.
And so when Canelo and Berlanga were up there on the press conference and they're kind of going back and forth,
it looked he turned into like a shouting march that I've seen in my house when my kids fight each other.
And it's a true.
Because Berlang is trying his best to, like, talk down to Canelo, but it's still Canelo.
There was a point where Canelo's like, yeah, you're going to see it.
And then Canelo's like, I'm excited to see.
He's like, you're going to see what I'm going to do to you.
I can't wait to see.
It's kind of.
Yeah, it's like super wisdom.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
When your stuff isn't hitting.
And then Berlango was like, you could see it.
He could see it.
He could see it in my eyes.
Canelo looks at his eyes.
He's like, yeah, fear.
How much so that it got into a shut-up match.
Check this out.
You don't gonna do nothing.
Shut the f*** out.
You just gonna make me laugh.
Shut up.
Shut up.
I don't wanna shut up.
I don't want to shit up.
I don't want to shut up.
Conno.
When I talk shut up.
And then what?
What do you going to do?
And then what do?
What are you gonna do?
I swear to go.
And then what?
And then what?
And then what are you going to do?
And then what do?
I don't want to chat up.
I don't want to chat.
You shut up.
I scared.
Bro, that was literally happening.
And Angie's there because I experienced this.
It's like normal.
It's like you can feel the tension like just over the audio, right?
I can't imagine just being there.
You guys are like, I'm sure Angie's like for one of your first times.
You're like, oh my God.
In my head, I'm like, oh my God, I can't believe I'm being part of this right now.
And so it's funny because then Connell is like, if I beat you up right now, you're not going to get any money.
Like, chill out.
Like, he just kept big broing you.
him like sunny him all the time.
He's Canelo.
It's like, come on, Berlanga.
Like, I know that you want to seem not intimidated.
You are.
It's just like, you can't not be.
Shut up.
This is one of the greatest fighters.
Shut up and shut up.
I don't want to tell you.
And then what?
So speaking of Caleb Plant and him having fat Canelo, he was in, like, watching everything go down.
And so I guess Berlanga just chose him to go at him instead.
I can get it on you.
Yeah.
And plant lost to Canelo.
So Berlanga took that moment to be like,
I'm not going to be like that guy right there.
Check this out.
You can have all the power in the world.
You could do what you do.
But at this level, it's intelligence and IQ.
And we're not going to end up like that.
F***ing over there.
I got knocked out.
Caleb, Caleb, take it easy.
I'm going to take care of him for you.
I promise you.
I promise you.
That's for you, buddy.
That's for you, buddy.
That's for you, buddy.
This is me for you, buddy.
You know what I always love about sports is that after there's like a heated rivalry.
Yeah.
There's respect after, right?
Because Plant and Canelo, they went to blows at a press conference, right?
Yes.
And so what's funny, too, is they were doing their face-off back when Kayla Plant faced Canelo.
Right.
And Kayla, they're talking smack to each other.
Of course.
But Canelo was in between his dualingo, you guys.
You didn't really know the translation's crazy.
So Caleb Plant had said, Mother Effer, right?
But Canelo took it as, you're going to F my mother.
So that's why Canelo ended up going like slapboxing with him, right?
And so it's funny because after this back and forth with plant,
Berlanga then says mother F for to Canelo.
And Canelo's like, I learned what that means.
I know English now, but it's so fun.
Just want the growth.
Shout on Canelo.
But to see that go down, the Kayla plant, Belonga, like all of that's very interesting.
You're right. Usually after the fight, there's some sort of respect.
But I don't put, I'm not too sure about this one because they kept bringing up Mungia.
We all saw the Mungia fight.
Right?
And Canela did a great job, but you could tell you, there's even video of him possibly lifting
up Mungia.
So you remember?
So that he didn't fall.
And so Berlanga was like, we know you showed him compassion.
We know you were being nice to him.
And then Kana was like, I'm not showing compassion here.
Oh.
And after the smack your time.
talking after the...
You don't go to nothing.
Shut the fuck out.
After that?
You're just gonna make me laugh.
After that, I don't...
Because Mungia was respectful during the press conference.
He was.
He was.
He was.
He was.
This type of thing?
I'm not too sure, bro.
Yeah.
He got knock him out.
He is.
Hopefully.
It's going in for them.
I think so.
It really made me see,
because I know a lot of people
aren't anti-Canelo.
And Burlanga was even saying that he's like,
look, there's some Puerto Ricans that don't like me.
But the way that there's Mexicans that don't like Canelo,
it says something about him.
Like he's going, leaning into the fact that Mexicans are divided over Canelo, right?
And, but I saw people, I saw people stand up and see him get disrespected and now be like,
Buranga, why'd you do that?
Like, now we're turned off to you.
Like, even if dad gets us mad, you got to let Dad be that.
Like, you can't just like that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You can tell me, shut up.
Shut up.
Yeah.
Shut up.
You don't say shut up when I'm talking to Canelo.
Yeah.
And that look, he has turned people more on Canelo's side.
Like, bro, I hope Bernagos gets kicked out or gets knocked out in the eighth round.
Yeah.
Can you call him Bernalgas?
Yeah, that's what they're calling.
She's starting.
She's starting, too.
Bernalgo is nail.
Yeah.
Look, it's an exciting fight.
Shout out to Premier boxing for putting this together.
It's going to be incredible September 14th in Las Vegas.
We got to be there, bro.
We do.
We got to be there.
I keep it here.
It's Power 106.
Brown Bag.
It's Brown Bag on Power 106.
Number one for hip-hip.
Thank you.
