Because with him, before he went back to LA, we sat down with him. And I straight out told him, you told my mom it was about money and it's not about money. I have this and this and this evidence. And it's been more than a year. And out of respect to you, I haven't shared it with any of my siblings or my mom.

Really always stick to like it has nothing to do with being a parent. It has something to do with relationships. And unfortunately, like it does change you as like a person to like kind of like look at the situation like, oh, do I really want to get into relationships? But it has nothing to do with being like an actual child that's going through it.

So, yeah, unfortunately, I went through that. And both my parents tried to expose. And I'm like, wow. So you think it would be different for you if you had been the one that caught your parent and then, like, either how to keep it from your other parent or tell that other parent because maybe you saw it, but no one ever kind of blamed you in a situation. Because what I'm feeling from Leah is that her mom may be adding some type of guilt or blame of betrayal towards Leah for knowing and not saying anything.

Like, okay, well, then I felt like, oh, oh, this is just literally like, maybe this is what people do. And so it's kind of like, that's your model of life, of relationships. Exactly. That's what you learned. But you didn't put yourself in those positions they did. Yeah.

Like, why didn't you tell me you knew all this time? And so she feels a deep feeling of guilt and that she betrayed her mom. And she wants to just still at the end of the day have relationships with her parents. But like she knows that this is messed up. She's probably feeling like, is it my fault? A lot of feelings. Could I have shut up or could I have said something? She feels like she could do no right in this situation.

and we're trying to give her some help and at least advice of going through this, Adriana. Yeah, if I were hurt, I wouldn't feel like that because she told both of them what she felt at the time. And the way they take it, that's on them because both of them, the dad needs to realize he did something wrong and the mom needs to heal and understand that it's not her daughter's fault. She's taking it out on the wrong person. I went through a similar situation back in 2008. I had my first daughter, and I was staying at my mom so she could help care for me. And I started seeing the signs because my mom was completely blind.

Yeah, and he's like, oh, I was just bringing it up because, you know, Thanksgiving's coming up and she's going to be by herself. And I'm like, oh, well, you know, like, I was like, I don't care. So my dad at the time was like, you're mean, you know? And I was like, well, it's not my problem.

So as soon as I got to work, I ran into my office and I called my mom's cell phone, which at the time, you know, they would share a cell phone.

And I said, hello. And he's like, hello, like right away he answered. And I was like, oh, I thought my mom had the phone. And he tried to make conversation with me. I said, bye, bye, bye. So I called my mom's house phone and I said, what time did my dad leave? And she said, oh, he left at 550. He was going in at 630.

And I said, that's weird because when we passed by the coffee shop, he was there. And she said, what? So we got home at the same time because it was only half day that day. And we confronted him. We said, why were you there? And he said, well, because when I left, there was only 15 minutes till clock in. So I decided to go in at 7. And I said, well, when we saw you, there was 15 minutes left again.

So why didn't you just go until 8? And so he got upset. And he said, you guys are just, you know, like kissing us out in Spanish. You guys are making things up. Like, I'm tired of this. And I was like, mm-hmm. A couple months went by. We were at my mom because I was picking up my daughter and she had the phone and I took it away from her.

And I started going through it and I see text messages. My amor, te extraño. And I was like, who is this? And my mom said, I don't know. It's not even registered. And my dad was sleeping because he was working nights now. And I run in there and I was about. to like, I don't know, maybe heard him, but my husband helped me back.

I did get the chance to throw the phone at his face. And I said, that's what I thought. You're telling us that we're liars. But then again, you know, here's the proof. And he walked out. He walked out. We called the girl, you know, and my mom started going through her bills, you know, like seeing, hey, this girl's Victoria's Secret, he bought her a car, he bought her.

A car? A car? Yes, he bought her a car. What kind of car? What kind of car? What kind of car? I don't know. It could be new or old?

It's because she didn't have a car. I'm not sure. Oh, see? Oh. Yeah, she's lonely. This whole time my parents were saving money to buy a house on their own because we had purchased one. Well, they had purchased one with one of my mom's.

sister and they wanted to call their own ways. Mom thinking she had all this money in her bank account and she goes in there and it's all gone. It's all gone. And even little things that my mom remembered at the time, like, I remember I bought cereal boxes and I left them in the trunk and your dad left to school and they're gone, you know? Things like that. Like my mom's like, I'm buying things from my kids and you're giving this girl everything, you know. So it really upset me because my dad was an alcoholic growing up.

And I'm like, my mom put up with you for so long and you do this against her. Like it really upset me. I'm like, this is the time you have left to be good, you know. My siblings were young at the time. He bought them out, you know, he bought my brother at TV. He bought my sister stuff. And they didn't care, you know. Yeah.

Yeah. I completely stopped talking to him. We always have like family parties and stuff. And the normal is for me to go sit with my mom at the same table. And I remember we went to a few birthday parties and, you know, they were like, oh, your mom's over here. No, thank you. I want my own table, you know.

Like I completely stopped talking to both of them because I told my mom, me and my husband at the time were financially okay. And I told her, you know, we will help you out. You're working. you just have two little ones. My brother was working at the time too. I said, we'll all get through this together. And she said, you know, your little brother is a mess.

He's always in trouble. He had like learning problems. And she said, no one is going to want us anywhere with him. And I was like, yeah, she's right, you know. Like, I don't want my little brother. So she said, me and your dad have to be honest. She's on it? Yeah.

Yeah, he got a straight for sure. So she stayed with your dad. She stayed with your dad, is what you're saying. He stayed with him. Yeah, they went through their own thing, you know. My dad asked her for forgiveness. He said he was never going to see her again. He was going to stop going to quote unquote school.

And what has learned English? happened with the girl. Did she stay in the picture? Well, I called her, and she hung up on me because I wasn't nice to her, and then my mom talked

to her, and she said, she didn't know he was married, and I said, what a coincidence that you never call him when he's home. Like, if I had a boyfriend, I would call him all the time, you know, like, I want to call you in the morning. I want to call you a night. Like, why you never called when he was home? Yeah, you know what it was. And why my mom sometimes had the phone with her. and there was no weird incoming calls. So she knew and obviously, like, she found out he got caught and she never, that I know of, she never came back around. And my dad had absolutely no phone anymore. She was up into the car.

Yeah. Did you get the Victoria's here back? He kept it. He paid it off? He paid it off? No. Yeah, he paid it off. With the money they were saving to make buy a house.

And then your mom still stayed. So I'm sure you were upset at that. Like you did all this, I guess, work to be on her side and like all of that. And then she still stayed. Is your guy's relationship good now? Yes. I understood where she was coming from, you know, because I was already a mom. And I said, you know, if my daughter was having trouble, like, yeah, maybe I would think about it.

I don't know, you know. But I understood because I had a dream one night that my dad passed. passed away and we never talked again. And my dad is a love of my life. Like I grew up a daddy's girl and he's my soft spot. So I woke up that morning and I went over and, you know, my way of saying, I'm okay now. I gave him the baby because I wouldn't even let him hold her. I said, no, I don't want anything to do with him.

If you decided to stay, that's on you. But I don't want anything to do with him. And I wouldn't even. let him hold her and that day I got there and I gave him the baby I said oh you want to hold her and that broke the eyes yeah he never apologized to me because I feel like he knows or he thought I was going to say something to him yeah yeah but we just continued like nothing happened and you know now my sister lives with them she's a single mom and she says oh my dad went here and he took a long time I'm like oh well that's on them that you know

I kind of regret it now. I regret what I did because I think about it and then I say at the end of the day they stayed together. It didn't matter what I said. Like it's a relationship of two. And, you know, sometimes these moms have been through it many times that we don't know of as kids. And they, they've decided to stay. And I mean, we can only do so much be there for them if that's what they want or, you know, just. try keep the family together or at least talking yeah thank you thank you so much
