The more brown back, the better.
Come on.
May 19.
It is Kendrick Lamar's mustard week here in Los Angeles.
They're coming to town.
Yep.
Kenne Kumar is coming back into town.
Sofi Stadium.
It's starting the 21st, okay?
GNX tour.
May 21st, 23rd, and 24th at Sofi Stadium.
I know you want these tickets because believe me, we're going to be talking about this.
tour for the months to come after what happens.
I know this guy is not going to let the West Coast down, specifically Los Angeles down
when they touch down here.
And I want to let you know, heat wave rest of the week.
You're kidding.
90s and up.
So just make sure that you're drinking your water.
Right now I had the boys, their insulated water bottles in my trunk.
So I'm tripping.
I'm trying to get them water bottles, but everything opens a little bit later before they
got to go to school.
Yeah.
And I'm really tripping like, this is like first world parent problems that they're not going to have their ice cold water.
Like, of course they get the water like ours that like just the plain water bottle that'll probably get hot after their second period.
They didn't have second period.
But what?
Wrap it and foil.
Wrap it and foil.
Get the water.
Wrap it and foil.
Not enough time to make it icy.
Yeah.
But wrap it and foil.
You could just drink from the water fountain too after a while it gets cold.
no no no no i don't know it's got too many lips on them yeah
it's true
you're good
stay hydrated though make sure your kids have that water to go to school in
this whole week isn't be hot then this weekend's going to cool down a little bit it's
memorial day weekend by the way it is it'll be very celebratory
very very good week all right i feel like it's the week of like it's summer it's
an unofficial start of summer they say yeah when it comes to memorial day so that's what we're doing
All right, let's get into
Do you know I'm local
What's up?
This is Be Real from Cyprus Hill
Where are you from, Esse?
Don't you know I'm local?
Anyone got any roommates up in here?
Oh, my parents
My parents are not your roommates
I can't be theirs
I'm just kidding
Your mother
You're horrible
It's so horrible
It's early.
It's early
It works
I'm just kidding
It's kidding
You're not right
She'll be back
We're the pros and cons of having your roommate
The pearls is that cheaper rent?
You go 50-50.
One would think, right?
What?
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, there's a report about what a roommate can save you in 2025, right?
Okay.
When it comes to California, your roommate, especially in Los Angeles, usually rent,
it says one bedroom apartment could cost around $2,3,380 a month.
Crazy.
Average two-bedroom, $3,200.
Crazy.
If you split it with a roommate, it could end up saving you about $745, right?
Wow.
And that does sound like a good chunk of change.
Yeah. For sure.
Other places, though, you can save roughly $1,000 or in San Francisco.
You can save about $1,050 a month finding a roommate instead of living alone.
However, I would counter that with the stuff that you then have to pay for.
Well, it's like double the electricity, double the water, double everything, right?
Wi-Fi, cable, food.
Oh, food.
Well, I would think, like, as a roommate, it's like, you buy your own food.
I would hope so.
It can be, or sometimes it's like that.
For sure, if we were roommates.
Oh, yeah, no.
There'd be some of us that are not buying food but eating off of other people's foods, groceries.
Oh, true.
So sure.
Sometimes there's like a pot that they're like, oh, okay, well, everybody like put it into this pot and then they like, you know, spread it.
Like go buy groceries with that money.
Yeah, because my homies, three of them live together.
And they each buy their own groceries, but they share them.
So they just all like share.
I don't know.
It's crazy.
Were they sharing on crustables or?
Yeah, what do they share?
A lot of things like.
I know.
I was like, what a chip?
Is it in the three sons?
Yeah, that's a trip.
I don't know.
I think the number $745.
I was like,
oh, okay, that's what I'd save
by having someone that lives with me
versus not having someone that lives with me.
At least in Los Angeles,
if you were doing a one or two bedroom.
Right.
That's the way that it goes.
Yeah.
I would assume your roommate costs you way more.
The headache.
Right now I'm dealing with my oldest
who's at UCLA and he's dorming.
Now he wants to move in an apartment.
Okay.
Nice.
And he has friends, but he's like,
I would rather live alone, which I appreciate for him because you're going to bring in everybody's drama.
You're going to bring in everybody's, I guess, lifestyle.
People don't live like you.
Some people don't care to clean until Saturday.
Some people need to clean every day.
And I'm telling you, it's a headache for both of those people.
Because the one that's always cleaning might be so upset that the Saturday cleaner only does Saturday.
Yeah.
The Saturday cleaner might be so upset that this other person is always cleaning.
Like, bro, I can't move.
Like, it's just the difference in personality types.
You get what I'm saying?
difficult. Yeah, how do they clean without
Spanish music blaring? Yeah, early in the morning. Everybody knows that.
What's wrong with that? Yeah. What are you doing cleaning as soon as they at home?
Yeah, what do you doing, man? Yeah, what kind of soundtrack is that?
Well, yeah, if you're thinking about moving out, having a roommate could save you
$745 bucks according to this report on how much it could save you in Los Angeles
or it could cost you, I don't know, your sanity.
That's what it is. That's what it is. That's why I've never like, aside from like,
family, like where I lived in their house, like my grandparents or like my dad or whatever,
I've never been like, you know what?
One of my homies, you should move in.
You're crazy lifestyle and how you live.
Like, that's what I needed my home.
Like it was never worth the amount of money for me.
Never.
No, he was the same.
Because I had a roommate for a while when Emmy was first, the baby, my homemy.
And it was cool at first.
But then when you realize his lifestyle and I was becoming a parent, it just wasn't matching.
And then my latest roommate cleaned so much that they're,
It would lose things.
Your swagger?
Yeah.
She would clean so much.
Like, she couldn't stop cleaning,
but it would cause her to be like,
okay, I'm going to shift this here,
clean there, and then wouldn't put things back,
and I would just lose my mind.
Would you appreciate your roommate being family
or your roommate being a stranger?
Family.
I think family, because at least you're,
like, you're more comfortable to tell them that they're cochinos.
You won't tell them.
Yes, I would.
Oh, my sister?
Okay, you're thinking that family.
Yeah.
Think of like not your nucleus.
Immediate, yeah.
Oh, like, like a, like you live with.
your cousin, I don't think you're going to tell your cousin to clean up.
Nope, you're not.
What about, I'm like, 40, just move it, girl.
Well, because you guys are like best friends.
Yeah.
That would be like, yeah, like, almost your family, but not your family.
So, like, for me, like, lefty gunplay.
Like, if I were to live with it.
That would be insane.
That'd be crazy, yeah.
New couches every two.
Hey, uh, do I, yeah, Jose.
Hey, uh, you, you've roomed with people.
Do you, you suggest rooming or living alone?
Because you've done the roommate thing out here.
coming from Portland, Oregon's very own, right?
To now living alone.
Which one would you suggest?
I prefer being around people.
Wow.
Is that why he never wants to go home?
Yeah, what that means.
You know what you're right.
The amount of money you could save is only 700.
You might lose your sanity, but you do gain company.
We got to check out on a lot.
This is so self.
No, I do check on him.
I force him to come over to my house.
She does.
All right.
Well, yeah, just great, great point.
Great point.
Maybe you should.
Yeah, it is worth more.
It is worth more to have a roommate.
At least you have company around.
Energy.
Not just talking to yourself.
The homie with the homie.
Maximo.
Maximo.
Where's Greg?
Usually it's the home.
Me Gregorio and Maximo says.
Gregory.
And that's Maximum.
Over the weekend, Los Angeles' very own DJ, DJ or Dioro, he doesn't go by DJ Dioro,
when Dioro was at EDC.
And not only was he at EDC, he brought up the legendary group, Los Tucanes de Tijuana.
What?
Yes, it was really insane because he, you know, he's mixing Mexican regional music and legendary
music with like the EDM sound.
Yeah, that's harder.
And bringing them out live in Las Vegas was amazing.
Listen.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
But I never wanted to rave until this scene of DJs, like, Dioro.
Yep.
Yeah, I'm just like, oh, right there, that's me.
Yeah.
It's really a fusion of, like, cleaning the living room in the morning on Sundays.
with, I'm on the party.
Yeah, it's both of the best world.
Yeah, it's like if I pass by my mom's room
and my sister's room at the same time
and you just run in the middle, boom, right here.
You get the mass fusion,
the fusion right here.
Right there, I'm at EDC.
You're like, Mom, I'll clean the hallway.
That's a diorro.
I wonder, like, what inspired him to do that, you know?
It really, no, I don't know,
but he's been doing this for a while.
But it's just really cool to, like, hear the mixes,
and I'm going to play Tukanaso real quick.
Let me see those hands up right now
They're up, they're up
Hands up, hands up!
They're up!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Shit!
Bro, I would just trip out as the dudes in Tukas, like, okay, playbe, we're going to go.
We're going to Tuckano.
And then they're up there, and even they're tripping out.
And granted, these are acts that have done so many states.
and people love them all around the world.
Just that mix, though, I'm sure that they were tripping up.
It's really different for sure.
And we actually have our very own Deoro on the line.
Dioro!
What's up?
Guys, thank you guys so much.
Hey, what time is it over there in Vegas?
It's the same time.
Dude, have you even slept?
Honestly, I'm not going to lie after E.C.
I came straight home.
Oh, good.
I'm sorry.
Hard business,
I know.
Yeah.
Tell me about this.
I mean, it's been, it's been, sorry.
Go ahead, De Oro.
It's your time.
I talk too much.
Yeah, sorry.
Well, I came straight home.
I mean, I mean, like, obviously, like the month up to EDC,
it was just a lot of,
a lot of production on the set.
You know, like, I had to go down to San Diego
to rehearse with Los Ducanes.
Wow.
You know, I work with,
I work with Mike Posner, too.
He was another guest, so I was, like,
remixing that song,
and then I was,
also bringing up tito de lape and all of that
yeah after edc after
dc i was like hell yeah thank you guys
so much i'm out you know
yeah
hey your girl does the pyro too huh
his girl does the paro to the
to his songs oh that's tight
yeah yeah my wife
she she cues all the fire
super tight
that's what makes it like 3d
all right you where do you have the idea
like i have an edc set
you know mike poser's gonna come out
shout on Tito O'Dopepet.
But where is like, you know what?
I want to play La Chona,
but wouldn't it be amazing
if the Tucanis came?
100%.
So, yeah, so 100%
I definitely like,
I'm always thinking like,
Dan,
what would be like a great,
a great party, right?
Like a great,
a great moment.
And then,
you know,
I have that song,
Los Pongo with Tucanis.
So like,
I reached out,
we reached out like over a year ago
and they were in,
they were super down to DEC.
They've heard of EDC.
They weren't able to do it last year.
but they said let's do next year so we've been having that you know in the plans since last year
and then uh we said like why don't we just do more like more than one song you know and they said like
what are you mean like do you want us to make more than one song together i said no no no like
let me let me see what i could do and i asked them for stems i was like let me get stems for for la chona
and they said yeah they sent it over and then right away they were just like i sent them a little
demo of each song and they said let's do all of them
hey d aren't you glad that they knew what edc was and you didn't have to sit there
and try to explain it it's like a lady's savi la flor electric you know what it's so cool how much
they've embraced our world um and and you know what it's also it's also uh i've gotten you know
i've got an opportunity to gain their trust over time you know in the beginning it must have been
really weird for like a DJ to approach a group like that, you know, like, legendary, you know, to tell
him, hey, let's collab. They're probably like, what the heck? Like, DJ is trying to collaborate with us.
You know, but like, over time, you know, I'm trying to like tell him and tell them like, no,
I'm also a producer, you know, like, I think we can make it work. So like, once we got that first
collab going, they kind of, you know, open their minds to my world. And, you know, to the point where
they even invited me to their concerts and I, I've come out in their concerts, you know?
You're so cool, bro.
So like, it's such an, you know, it's an incredible honor.
I mean, you know, Stucan is a legendary and, you know, to be able to work with something like that.
I mean, it's insane.
When I went to the studio, the entire, there's an entire wall full of BMI awards, you know, it's like, it's crazy to be able to work with someone so talented.
That's right.
And you're so talented too.
You're a legendary.
You're a legend.
Hey, De Oro, you know what I be so tight?
Like, just hearing that song play on Power 106, I'm like, oh my God, what if like DeOOO
played that on paro what i'm
a live mix
that'd be legendary we've been thinking about pitching this to you we're like let's
just ask him live so if he says no
he says no to all of los angeles
at the same time
hey i'm down
we're setting it up
we're setting it up
hey bro we got to go to commercials but we appreciate you
de oro we're going to get that in feel
for you to bring uh posner tito
yeah you can bring everybody
He's like, all right, well, there you stop.
Deodor, shout out.
Of course, shout out to you and shout out to Wi-Fi, too.
We love what you guys do and just keep on.
You guys are such an example of awesomeness.
You guys, let me know when you guys are in Vegas.
Yes, always.
All right.
Going right now.
Happy Monday.
It's a hot one today.
Everywhere we are, it's going to be hot.
So just be ready out there, my friends.

for graduating college.
Let's go, Jacob!
That's go!
Shout out to everybody that's never heard that song
because you didn't walk.
It's me.
It's me.
I was a year late.
A year late?
Mr. and Mrs. Molina wants to shout out.
Never heard that song live.
It's okay.
It's okay, yeah, yeah.
Mr. and Mrs. Molina wanted to shout out their
goddaughter Josie and the Roosevelt
Rough Rider softball team in Fresno.
Come on, Hugh.
In Fresno.
In Fresno.
Wow.
Are all Roosevelt ties
Rough riders?
That's what?
That's wild because we're not here for sure.
Rough riders.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
All right.
Well, also shout out everyone that is graduating this week and graduated
last week.
Well, don't just do a blind shout on now.
I mean, I don't know who.
I'm just giving.
Shout to us.
Yeah.
Hit it up so that we can do this one.
A shout to everybody in the world.
If you never got, if you never got, I know fact, shout out to the humans breathing.
Well, shout out to you for that.
Yeah, I want to shout out Johnny, who I met at Northridge Mall.
Okay.
I was outside of Pop Mart.
Yeah, they had a grand opening.
Telling you this a whole thing, duh, get ready.
They out of their minds.
The line was two hours.
Yeah, and you're going to be out of bread because your babies like it.
Yeah, and I was like, you know what?
I'm buying Risa.
I'm not doing it.
Even worse.
Yeah, it was terrible.
Yeah.
They're making a pot mart at the Sananita Mall.
Yeah.
And when I was with Brooklyn, she was like, oh, they're opening it.
This is right by your house, isn't it?
And I was like, oh, now I'm expected to wait in this line.
Yeah.
And you guys really wait the two hours?
No, it's not open yet.
It's for the grand opening.
Oh, God, it okay.
It'll filter through.
Yeah, for sure.
Like the Glenna Gallery one, it's not a line, but you can't get Lubuz.
You have to get them online.
It's the whole thing.
Wow.
Drama.
Yeah.
Well, we got birthday shoutouts.
Yay.
Chelsea wants to give a birthday shout out to her boyfriend, Christian.
She said, happy 27th birthday.
Let's go graduating from 26 to 27.
Adelaina X-O-X-O said,
I want a birthday shout-out.
Let's go.
Shout out you, Madelaide.
Congrats on your graduation of life.
Job 069 on Instagram wants to say
Happy birthday to his son, Dominic.
Let's go, Dominic.
Big 13.
Graduating to a teenager.
There you go.
There it is.
Okay.
Those are our birthday.
I have some shout-outs too.
A, big up to speaking of birthdays.
Aria, that's my homie.
Art and Erica's daughter.
She is like incredible.
I love all her.
Like she's just a little star.
And it's her birthday.
And then shout out to Art and Erica.
We went to this fight on Saturday.
Abner.
Abner Marquez.
He's a promoter.
And he did this fight out in Long Beach.
Oh, wow.
Main event, Fernando Vargas Jr.
And he did a sick knockout.
Like he did a knockout.
And it was really clean because he like stunned the guy.
And then his this foot Coria, who was Argentinian.
stun the guy and then hit him with like that like just hit him with that like i don't know i was trying
to wrap the song and then the full just dropped and he could not get back up they stopped that i think
it was like fifth round or something oh wow it was so turned up and i had never been to a boxing
event like that like in the warehouse yeah it was a warehouse it's a vet yeah i've been there
bro it looked like i'm like bro i'm inside creed or something like this felt like some like under like
underworld type of boxing event
And then there's Abner Marys in a pink suit.
Shout out Abner.
I was about to say shout out Abner.
That's so sick.
Because walking in, it feels like a warehouse or a movie set.
Yes.
And then when you go in, even like the little bar area and the snack area is interesting.
And then you think that turn.
No, it is.
You have to be there.
You have to see it.
The way that day, I was like, oh my God, what's going down?
What's happening here?
Yeah, this is it.
And then King Lil G brought out Abner Maris.
I mean, excuse me, brought out Fernando Vargas Jr.
It was so tight.
It was like a good, it just felt underground.
It felt like super.
like nitty gritty like and then Fernando Vargas Jr. killed it.
That's so far.
Yeah, I seen online.
I was like, oh, I wish I was there.
Bro, it was.
The vibes were there.
The homies were there.
Chito was there.
Who else?
The homie devour was there.
Devour was there.
Devour was there.
Yeah, Devour was there.
That's cool.
I was there too.
Letty was there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So big up to art for inviting us over.
It was really, really cool.
And then yesterday we went to L-AFC Galaxy game.
Shout out to our homie Jonathan.
Yep.
But we'll hear more about that.
El Traffico.
El Traffico.
Two, too.
I know.
You guys have no idea.
I was.
Oh, big tip.
We're going to.
Shout to L.A.F.C.
Rich.
Yeah, shout out my guy Rich.
And DJ Flicked.
So we were in there and then everything was good.
And it was like the 83rd minute or so.
And I was like, you know, probably beat some traffic right now.
Walk out of the suite.
Immediately they score a goal as soon as we hit the stairs.
Like literally 30 seconds later.
L.A.C. and the Galaxy.
Oh, okay.
They ended up tying.
Oh, that's what it's called.
But it felt like, oh, man, why did we move?
I feel like we messed up the mojo.
You probably did.
Or maybe you were the bad luck charm, and as soon as you left, they scored.
It depends on what team she's going for.
Because also Galaxy made a goal, and then they took it back because someone was off-site.
So then everybody in the stadium was upset because then it went back to 2-1.
And then they did the penalty kick, and then that's where they got the 2-2.
And then after that, it was not the same.
And I'm going to tell you right now, L-EGalxy and L-Galxy and it.
LASC fan.
A Plackenzie.
Awesome.
Chill,
chill.
Listen to me right now.
Kalmente.
There's kids that go to that game.
Yes.
No, they're stern.
Oh, I know.
It was.
It was.
It was.
It's turn.
I didn't realize it.
Yes.
Oh, no.
Here I am.
Fair weather.
Like,
ooh, let's go to the NFC game.
BML Stadium.
Amazing.
It's not like, we don't go to Carson.
I don't know Carson.
And shout out to my homies,
Jonathan and Nancy.
They're Galaxy fans, right?
Die hard.
They are very like,
you know, at Carson,
we don't fight.
Like, you know, Galaxy fans, we're like the sweet, like, we're not like you guys.
We're not like L-A-F-C fans.
No way.
I was like, what do you mean, you guys?
Because remember we had someone calling in and saying that?
Galaxy fans were turning up on him and his son and then L-AFC fans came through like Batman and we're like,
we're like, we're going to save you, right?
Yeah.
So they're like, that's not true.
I think they were lying when they called fake.
They're like, us Galaxy fans aren't like that.
But then when we're walking out, I was like, whoa.
Yeah.
They were saying.
Yeah.
Both sides.
Oh, yeah.
No, yeah, it was intense.
I was even at a bar in Long Beach,
and then I'm just wearing the jersey before the game.
Oh, no.
And then some guy was like, boo.
Yeah.
I was like, what's hell?
We're not even at the game yet.
They told us, if you wear your jerseys,
you can't go around certain places in the venue.
Don't put your jersey on until you get to your seat.
Yeah, they keep you on that specific section.
It was a true.
I felt like a gang member in the 90s.
Like, you can't go over here.
For sure.
You cannot go over there with those colors on.
I was like, what?
We need a peace treaty, Galaxy and LASC fans.
Please.
Come on. Let's tie the racks together.
I can help.
Okay.
Hey, bro, I never went to a soccer game
when they had Popusa's role.
Oh, that's cool.
Yeah, shut on them on.
Stephen, Abja.
Papas with a purpose.
Let's go.
You're like, wow.
And then you get Revuelta in those snaps
because everybody's funny.
It's such a great time.
Take your kids.
Simp or Pimp.
Be I am.
Sip!
Maximo!
The battle of Los Angeles,
El Trafico, was yesterday.
And something happened where MLS now stands for making Luisito switch.
Hilarious.
So Luisito is Leti's son.
And, you know, Leti and the family, her family is our L-AFC fan.
We are.
L-A-F-C family black and gold.
Yep.
However, our homie Jonathan's daughter, Julisa, which is Luisito's best friend, potentially
future soulmate.
Yes.
Hugh.
He said, Luciito, throw this galaxy shirt on.
And he did.
And he did.
And the way he cheered.
And he cheered.
He turned up.
He had a good time.
He was jumping, celebrating.
Yeah.
I'm going to tell you this.
Because we are, all that the boys know and us, L-A-F-C.
Yeah.
And we understand the galaxy stuff came into play.
Again, I am not perpetrating like I've known the history and all of that.
I was invited to a game at BMO.
I loved it.
And that made me a fan, you know, just like probably you and you were little galaxy fans,
you went to a game and you became a game.
and you became a fan.
That's what happened with me, right?
With L-AFC.
So that's kind of what we know.
Our Salvadorian, homie, Jonathan,
Jonathan, Galaxy fan to the death of him.
Yeah.
And oh, he was using yesterday to,
because we had a play date during the day.
And then we just happened to be going to the game too.
We were going to go home and put our jerseys on.
Right?
And he's like, no, we can just go from here.
We can take the sprinter van we have.
We could go from here.
He's like, yeah, but we don't have our jerseys.
And then Julisa, that's one to the first.
They can wear my jersey.
jerseys.
All she has is Galaxy.
It's a set-up.
It's a set-up.
They're Galaxy family.
Luicito's so happy because this is
like really like they're friends for it
since they were little.
Luisito does have a little crush on her.
Right?
So they, we go to the game and I'm like,
oh, here's my son in the Galaxy.
Sure.
Horito just had a whole, a black hoodie on.
Yeah, he's like, I don't know.
Yeah.
He's third willing to for sure.
Galaxy makes a goal.
everybody is jumping
and so Zwisito and I'm looking at him and I'm like
my son's gone. Wow.
He's not my son anymore. He belongs to the galaxy
far far away.
The next time like the LAF scene did a
did a goal. Yeah. And it's me and a couple other people
in the stands and we're jumping like hell yeah
we're giving each other high five. The look on those
children's faces they looked up at me like I
did something like I told them something wasn't real.
Or like I said something like that.
They're judging you?
Yes.
And I was like, okay, let me sit down.
My son looks at me and I could see him like lip quivering a little bit like he's going to cry.
Mom, you can't do that, mom.
No, he told me that dog.
And then I was like, but babe, I like Elliot.
Not today.
You know, like today work Alex tomorrow.
He said, don't you ever go against my woman?
Yes.
He definitely chose.
He's like, you're embarrassing me, mom.
She's sitting in the front seat later on.
Hey, mom, to the back.
Yeah, mom said in the back.
Yeah.
But I saw it in real life and then I'm like, like, they're kids again.
They're six years old.
Yeah.
But the way that he just like, he should knighted me, he was like, hey, we don't do that over here.
I'm like, dude, look for LASC.
Don't ever go against the family.
That part.
I was like, babe, we go to L.A.
Not today, mom.
Not today.
Today we're going for the white team and the L.A. galaxy.
It's dope.
Yeah.
And I was like, okay.
Wow.
I'm sorry.
Why.
So I'm glad it.
it in a tie.
So I wouldn't be so happy.
If I was smiling after.
Be devastated.
True.
Yeah, it was crazy.
Wow.
Well, welcome to my life.
When did you guys know, like, you would do anything for another, like another person?
Is it six years old too?
Like, was it, you guys change your favorite, a cartoon?
You guys change your favorite cereal or you guys change your favorite movie?
At that age, you are a little more like influence.
Once you get a little older, you might be like, hold on.
Yeah, I like what I like.
Yeah.
But now that age, you'll be like, all right.
I watch The Little Marmade, which is my favorite.
That's me.
All right.
Luisito.
Angie, he's gone.
He belongs to the galaxy.
I can't wait for his poem, too, Julisa.
You are my moon and my galaxy.
Bro, I heard it's sweet.
You are the stars in the sky.
They shared a churo and he's like,
this is the best day ever.
And I was like, all right.
I've given you so many days of your life that are great.
But here we go.
Eating a churro at the galaxy.
They're going to watch a lady in the tramp.
Oh, yeah.
Order spaghetti.
They're six years.
Oh.
They can lose.
So we're the dogs.
All right.
Luisito is a simcito.
Oh, my little baby.
I feel bad simping him.
I'm not going to simp him.
Simcito?
No.
Cunipi.
The chivalrous little boy.
Okay.
You can watch the video of them turning up.
Yes.
Brow my morning's 106 on Instagram.
All right, so, dude, you guys do it.
Luisito.
Luisito.
Lucito, Lucito.
Horito would never.
Not at all.
You're on my team now, girl.
I like black and black only.
You want me to rap?
I got a freestyle.
All right, check this out, homie.
You need a homie or need some help.
We need your help.
We need a line.
I mean, phone line.
We've got you for.
The homie help line.
Janet needs our help.
Janet.
Janet sent us a DM and said,
My name is Janet and I need some advice.
She said, maybe with some laughs because I haven't told anyone how I'm feeling.
She said, I'm 19 years old and in college.
And when I was a freshman in high school, my parents split and it sucked.
I know this happens a lot, but it was tough.
I listen to the show so I know most of you understand.
Yeah.
Thanks for reminding me.
Fast forward last year, my dad remarried and I'm extremely happy for him.
My mom, however, has been in a first.
funk since he remarried.
I'm not sure if she's having a midlife crisis or what.
But she seems down and she keeps mentioning wanting to move back to Uraway.
Uraway.
I practiced that.
I practiced that all morning.
Oh, my gosh.
I practiced that all morning.
Uruguay.
There we go.
What did you call it?
No, I don't want to talk about it.
Just say to English Uruguay.
Say it like your little spine your side wants to say it.
Yeah, go ahead.
Uruguay.
You're away.
You're away.
Uruai, bro.
Uduai.
Yeah.
Okay.
Say the you.
Trying to go back to the U.
Okay.
She said,
I tell her it's fine and to do it,
but deep down inside,
I'm scared and sad.
She works hard,
and I feel sometimes she feels lonely.
Me and my dad are cool,
but my mom is my backbone
and it is always there for me
when I'm stressed, sad, etc.
I'm an only,
child and most of our family lives in Urawai or another state.
There you go.
I don't want.
If someone's from there, what do you call them?
Urawai'in.
Say it again?
Urawain.
No, like, what are they?
Like, you know if you're Mexican.
Urawaynese.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I feel I got it right.
Urawian.
Urawian.
So, no?
I don't.
I want to be right so bad.
I know you too.
All right.
What is it?
What is it?
What is that?
Just finish your story.
Yeah, Urawians.
Yeah, Uro-Awaians.
That's what I said.
What are you saying?
He said, what are you?
Where do you wabas are?
Where do you say?
Okay, all right.
I don't know, want to be selfish and tell her to stay, but I do need her.
What do I do?
Is it selfish of me?
to want her to stay.
That's a tough one.
How old is baby girl?
19.
19.
She's still not really like...
More than like she waited.
Your mom has been waiting.
Yeah.
No, like...
Right till 18.
So you're old enough for her to do something.
To move out.
Yeah.
So like already without knowing it, you've been selfish.
Okay?
You've had her.
Oh.
She's nice.
Don't say that.
She's probably been counting down the days.
Like, all right.
As a parent too, it's like, dang.
Like I know
I know that
Like
Do we wait for you to not want us in your life
That's a fact
You got to think?
Yeah
That's true
Yeah, that's true
She went for you to skip out on holidays
With her birthdays with her
Or move out of stay
You know
You don't ask that when you're
When you're thinking about your stuff
Because you're like
This is my life
I'm young
Your mom is also
Wow
This is our first time living kids
Yeah
Yeah
Without having like
Like responsibility
Like full responsibility
of you and watching your every step.
Now it's like, hey, you're in college, you're an adult,
even though 19 is pretty young.
19 is young.
You still got a lot to learn.
Here.
Yeah.
Mexico, they're working at eight.
Not that that's okay.
Yeah, that's true.
But my dad always tells me.
After sixth grade, he was out.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, it's definitely a tough situation.
And I'm sure it's like, she said it.
Like, she don't want to feel selfish, but she also knows, like, it's almost like
unknown territory.
She needs her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you're always going to need your mom.
Even when you're older, like I find I need that I had my parents, well, my dad lives in me,
but I had my mom over and it was like last week.
And it was like I definitely needed them last week and I didn't know how much I did need them until they were both at the house.
And I felt like I was a kid again and had my parents at my house.
Like they granted they divorced too, but it's like I remember like just hearing them the conversation of them talking in the kitchen.
Yeah.
It took me right back to Little Leti
and how much you always need your parents
and I was very grateful because I still have them
to have that moment of realization of like
no matter how old you are,
you're going to need mom and dad.
And there's nothing like being in their presence.
You know, there's nothing as comforting as them being like,
it's okay.
And they're doing it for you, you know, as well.
They're returning that where it's like, hey,
they're being cordial because they probably wouldn't want to hang out.
Like my parents, like they don't,
don't, they'll call each other for, like, if they need, like, documents and stuff,
but they complain, like, I can't believe he called me for the documents.
I'm like, who else is he going to call?
He'll be like, you're a mom called.
Keeps calling me about this.
And I'm like, I like, I like, I like how he sounds salty even when he's talking English.
Yeah.
I'm just like, what are you complaining about, man?
Like, it's not that serious.
Just giving documents.
You know what they complain so much.
Loki, why they talk, still talk, though?
You're like over 18.
I mean, still.
What documents?
Oh, I know, but still what?
Oh, like documents because they're trying to fix some like paperwork stuff.
Oh, yeah.
And then for me, it's like I would like to see them together like on a Thanksgiving or like a Christmas where they can hang out and not like complain.
But we still haven't got there.
You'll get there.
You'll get there.
Yeah, one day.
Have he moved on?
She didn't.
Yep.
Your mom has to move on, bro.
Not like moving.
Yeah, not like that.
Like get a partner.
Like I've told her many times.
Go date.
You think guys at, like, church that we try to holl in?
No.
No, some cozzles of Dios.
Like, she'd be like, no, she shuts it down right away.
I'm like, all, bro.
Maybe she's scared.
I think she just closed that chapter in her life already.
That could be too.
Well, I think that's probably what Janet needs, too.
Janet needs a Melvin.
I mean, sorry, Janet's.
What?
No, not Janet.
Janet's mom.
Jeff's mom.
Sorry, I jumped again.
Janet's mom needs a Melvin.
I like how we love that.
Like, hey, you know what would fix your parent.
That went through a horrible divorce.
A man.
Another one.
Yeah, yeah.
Another one.
Rolling around the sack, that would fix her.
No, for sure.
That fixed the dad.
He's on top of the world.
Y'all are different.
He's on top of the world.
He is.
Extremely happy.
Well, that's what we're assuming.
Remarry.
You know what I'm saying?
And this happens.
Maybe one moves on more than the other.
Yeah, for sure.
My dad's in his 70s and still hasn't moved on.
Nor does he want to.
He's just living life.
Yeah. I'm okay with it. I'm okay with him being single for the rest of his life.
I'm okay with it.
I'm for sure okay with it.
That's hilarious.
What I just called a old seora stepmom for? I don't need.
He's not like single, single though, right?
I don't know what he is right now. I don't want to find out.
He's leaving earlier and earlier now and dressing up when he leaves.
What?
I don't see it.
Does he put cologne?
No, he doesn't put cologne.
Okay, not yet.
That I know, that I know.
It's in the car.
Yeah.
It's in the car.
They like him to smell like a man.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
So Janet is 19 years old.
She's in college.
And her parents split a couple years ago.
She feels like her mom is in a funk recently ever since her dad remarried.
And she's been talking about trying to move back to Uruguay.
But Janet doesn't want her to leave.
She wants her to stay.
Now she's asking, is it selfish of her to want her mom to stay?
Yeah, it's definitely a tough situation.
I'm sure for mom having family in Uruguay maybe feels more comfortable, she has more people around her, not to really be worried about, like, the ex-husband and her daughter.
And yeah, and a lot of times, you know, this is something that, like, I don't know, my grandparents are actually going to do it, or even my dad's mentioned it, like, you know what, I'm just retired in Mexico, you know, because they feel like a sense of, like, I came here, what I wanted to do.
do. I wanted to give my kids, you know, better life, better opportunity, work. And then it's like,
after that, it's like, man, I'm just kind of, you know, kind of right up until the sunset in my home
country and relax, you know, and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Yeah, sometimes they almost feel
like they're, like, they feel that down the line, they're going to be a burden to us. So they're
like, if I leave, like, you don't have to worry about me. Like, I'm back with my family.
So I think over there, you, you get some bread. Yeah, you do. Yeah. Yeah. It's not just by you fools.
You get some money
You get bred over there
Because if you're retiring over there
There's something for you
Yeah
If I'm not mistaken
Mm-hmm
Right?
Even if you retire here
You work a little bit
Not if you're
If you don't have a social security
You don't get anything out here
And also all the money
That they stack to
You know obviously like
Stretch further
In Mexico or Uruguay
You know what I'm saying
Yes Victor
But all in all
In all mom's wants to go back
And she's been saying it
And you could tell
like what was really holding her here was her daughter who's now 19 yeah you know she's
a girl and I don't know if there's also the part of hey well you have your dad and your dad has a wife
so you know like you have that oh I hope that's not it like what did you need little old me for
yeah it's for sure you don't need me anymore you're in college yeah you're grown no you don't need me
anymore you have your stepmom.
Your dad replaced me.
You can too.
I'm getting trouble right now.
Wow.
I'm having a traumatic flashback.
I might think.
She's asking, is it selfish of her, though?
Is it selfish of her to want her mom to stay or she let her mom go even though she needs
her?
Yeah.
Okay?
So she wants to just have her mom right there as she's going through life.
We all need our moms.
We're never not going to need that support system.
For sure.
Maybe sometimes not your mom.
Maybe it's your dad.
Maybe it's your brother.
brother, sister, you always need that.
100%.
Exactly.
And they say moms are slightly more nurturing than dads.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Jose.
Yes.
Need your mom, right?
Yeah.
All the time.
Yes.
It's just a question.
You're about to cry, dude.
How was it moving away from her?
Did you care about her feelings?
Yes, you told me to move back all the time.
Yeah, but you don't, right?
No.
When you left, because Jose Josefino over here,
he's from Portland, Oregon.
Portland.
And he moved out here, how many years ago?
Like, five?
Yeah, I think almost five.
Oh, five years.
Being selfish, thinking of yourself, not your mom.
Okay, when you told your mom,
when you tell your mom that you're going to be out here and live in a garage,
what are she saying?
You know what?
She's never been to my house?
I think she feels like she doesn't want to see it.
She's going to cry.
Yeah, like, me.
They'll come, but they don't, they meet up somewhere.
Oh.
No, she'll meet up somewhere.
me at my house, but just outside.
Oh, she doesn't want to see it.
She's gone to the restroom at the gas station next door.
Instead.
What?
What he didn't even...
She won't even step...
She's worried.
She was weird.
Yeah.
Wow.
Okay, but when you told her, Jose, that's so sad.
You wanted to leave, right?
I guess did she try to tell you no stay?
And you have a lot of siblings, so you have a couple siblings.
At first she was kind of happy.
She was like, yeah, it's cool.
Yeah.
And then it hit her.
And then she was like, oh, that's weird.
Yeah.
She was testing, she was seeing if you were bluffing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm going to move to Los Angeles, Ma.
Sure, sure.
I'm moved to California.
Uh-huh.
I don't want to be in Oregon anymore.
California.
See, bette with those people.
But now she misses it.
What about you being away from her and them?
Like, do you miss it too?
Yeah, I miss it too sometimes.
What do you miss about it?
Are you going to cry?
You can.
You can. You could.
It's the safe space.
That would be good for radio.
Almost cried.
last break when I was talking about my parents being together for and not fighting.
I feel it's just more comfortable sometimes.
Yeah.
Someone to.
That gets you.
Here's a question.
Would you retire over there?
Like when you like,
feel like you finish your work over here,
are you going to plan on retiring in Oregon?
It's hard because I don't like the weather over there.
But I like over there.
It feels like home.
If she called you crying and saying, like, can you come back?
please I need you.
Again?
Again.
She's done that?
Would you go to her though?
You mean our weekly
calls?
Our weekly Sunday
check in?
Oh, she tells you.
She tells you that to come back?
Yeah.
Oh, that's her baby boy.
Baby boy.
Okay.
Yeah.
As I go.
That little guy.
Jenna needs her help.
Okay.
She needs her help.
Her mom is saying
like I want to go back to my country.
Yeah.
I want to, I guess, start over or, yeah, just restart over there.
Her and Janet's dad divorced.
Dad moved on.
Yeah.
Mom really didn't.
Kind of been living life here.
Figuring it might be better if I go back.
Right.
Janet doesn't know if it's selfish of her to say, hey, stay here.
I need you as a 19-year-old.
We have another Janet.
Oh.
Janet.
What's up, Janet?
Janet.
Janet.
Janet.
Jeanette.
Jenette.
Yes, I'm here.
Hi, Jeanette.
Good morning.
Hi, Jeanette.
Jeanette, talk to us.
What would you tell Janet?
My advice is the best thing her mom can do is leave the country and go back to the country.
She can let loose.
That's how she'll start again, because she can be anything she wants to be.
Women here are raised to believe that if they let loose, they're loose, you know?
So her mom is held back by that and also the memories of what was.
Right.
So when she goes back to that other country, she will blossom.
I moved to England for 11 years, and I could be anybody I wanted to be over there.
I wasn't held back by what people thought of me.
Who were you over there, Jeanette?
Who were you over there?
It took off.
I was a makeup artist.
I was working on videos and all kinds of things.
Yeah, I took off.
When I came back here, I worked on those things for about a year, but it wasn't the same.
So I stopped, and I had a kid.
So, yeah.
Aw.
I mean, I wouldn't go back any time.
Right.
Because it was just such a beautiful life.
Honestly, that's the best thing her mom could do.
How did you choose England?
Well, I met this guy, and I had been wanting to leave L.A. anyway.
I was speaking of the...
Hello?
Yeah, we can hear you.
Yeah.
Hello?
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, my car.
Okay, Adele.
Hello?
Yeah.
Okay, so, yeah, so then I met this guy at a club, and we just hit it off and left and came back and got me.
We went back together.
Wow.
That sounds like a romantic novel.
It does.
Well, I was for about six years and then it ended, but I stayed there.
Nice.
Wow.
Are people in England nicer?
England, people in England are not really fake.
If they like you, you know it.
If they don't, they just ignore you.
And it's best, I like that because then there's no, you know, kissy-kissy stuff.
And I got to travel a lot.
In fact, I went to Iceland, Italy, Spain, Germany.
Oh, that's so tight.
Oh.
The Middle East.
Yeah, so it's easier to travel from Europe, far more accessible.
And, yeah, anyway, Janet, relax, let your mom go.
Let your mom go back.
But Janet's 19.
Jeanette, I want to ask you because you said you were over in England with a guy,
but you said you broke up and you stayed there.
Yeah, I stayed there.
Was that good for you?
Or did you feel like when you left, like, it was, like, best for you after the breakup?
The breakup, I was a little scared at first.
I was living in London.
But you know what?
I started something there, and I would be damned if I was going to come back and give it up because our relationship broke up.
Right.
So I stayed there another five.
People supported me there, and, you know, I didn't come running back.
I stayed there, and I loved it.
It wasn't until, you know, something happened politically that I decided to move back here.
Got it.
I have a question.
When you chose to get up and go.
Did you have family here that you were like, hey, I'm moving away?
Yeah, my dad didn't want me to go because the guy was a musician.
And my dad had been a musician.
He thought that was the worst mistake I could make.
But I went anyway.
And I think it was the best thing that I could have ever done.
And I totally advise everybody if you can get away for a while, go for it.
Because you change.
You see life in a different way.
Right.
And dad's still here, right?
Or did?
Yeah, my dad's still here.
When you come back, is he like, hmm, told you.
I didn't actually tell me that, no, but, yeah.
There were times that, yeah.
You have a kid now.
You're good.
You're celebrating Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day, too.
Happy Related.
Right.
So she says, let her go.
Let your mom go.
Let her go.
Start a new life, a new identity?
You're still part of her life.
Yeah.
And if anything like Janet can go visit.
Hold on.
Anytime, right?
miles away is Uruguay.
It's far.
Uru Kwan.
It's like by the equator, no?
Yeah.
I mean, I feel like it's, I guess, thinking about it now, my girl's mom just recently moved
back to Chile.
Okay.
For a long time, she would say, like, I'm moving, I'm moving, I'm moving, and kind of like
never really did, but she started like a passion project where she was like, I'm going to build
a house.
And that was like her first little, like, project.
And then she did it.
But it took her like five years to do.
So she actually never really left.
But now that the house is done, she's like, all right, I'm actually going to go.
Right.
But it was a tough decision for her to actually commit, and she did it.
I think my dad always tells us to go, he's going back to Mexico, but thank God we keep having kids.
Because I know for sure he was like, I'll wait until the girls are 18.
And then boom, I'm 17, have a baby.
Yeah.
You have to be in my life still dad.
And then my oldest is getting older and age.
Boom.
more babies and now he's like super attached to the of course his grader children he's like
dang i gotta wait till these will 18 right yeah so yeah thanks dad stay here
stay here bro there you go ahead i just looked up uh ura why it's uh 6 000 miles away so it's very
far it's not easy to just travel yeah it's a it's like a what it is a 10 hour flight it is a
it's a tip for you her list it's like a facetime exist seven hour flight zoom exists
The face exists, all of that, right?
The worst is like when we have our parents out here already and we never see them.
That's kind of me sometimes.
Not just you.
Wait, who?
What?
But you get what I'm saying?
What's 6,000 miles when if they're two hours away, you still don't go?
Yeah, what's the difference?
No, exactly.
120 miles is a lot.
So imagine, like, how many 120 miles are inside 6,000?
Right.
A lot.
But if you don't even go to the 120 miles, who goes?
cares that they go let them go to the 6,000, you know?
Yeah.
I think it's just like a mental thing.
It makes a difference.
Where you feel like they're at reach.
Yeah.
Like knowing like if I really wanted to, I can just make that drive.
Right?
Yeah.
For the 120 miles.
Hey.
I think so too.
Okay.
So like my sister moved to New York for a few years.
They moved to Queens.
And it was really tough.
Like dang, I'm rarely going to see them.
They moved back to Puerto Ranch.
Like they moved back over here in Ireland, Porta Ranch.
And it's still tough.
Like, oh my God.
Like I still.
It's like they're in New York.
It's like they're New York again.
You don't see them as a lot of thing.
I think we want it for our peace of mind, but it's also let them be where they feel the happiest.
Yeah.
Let's go to Ramon and Valencia.
What's that, Raymond?
Ramon.
Hey, what's up?
What's up?
What's up?
Raymond.
Talk to us, bro.
What would you tell Janet, who's going, she's 19 years old.
Her parents have broken up.
Dad's moved on.
Mom hasn't really.
And she's starting to say, you know what?
I want to go back to Uruguay.
I want to kind of live out there.
It's hitting Janet hard because she's like, dang, I'm 19.
I know.
need you still and she knows if I tell her to stay she will but she probably won't be happy
should I be which what should I do should I let her know how I feel should I let her go to
Hawaii and you said you had something similar yeah actually very similar um my parents did split up
I wasn't that young I was I was in my 20s at the time but obviously there's still my parents
and it was hard on both of them but at the time my mom was thinking of moving back to Mexico
because she was just, she felt like the life out here was just work and that's it.
You mean, you know, LA's like that where you just kind of try to get by paying bills going to work.
Right.
Now not having that support system, you know, what you're used to with your husband and your family.
It's a lot harder.
Right.
But at the time when it happened, I was okay with it just because I knew the stress she was going through
and the perspective she had on life at the time, man, I didn't want her to resent staying or forcing her to stay.
So I think if she just tells her mom how much she loves her and, you know, lets her know from her point why she wants her to stay,
but also be okay with her leaving because she just may not know what any type of resentment or at the end.
My mom ended up staying, but yeah, I let her give her the option.
I didn't want to be the reason to hold her back.
And I know she's young, but you see your parents as parents,
but at the end of the day, they're actually also human.
You know, I think a lot of people, they just see them as your parent,
but they're also people just like how other people are,
and sometimes you just need to let them grow.
So you said give them like a super love bomb and then say,
but if you want to go, it's okay.
No, he said he never told her that.
No, he's like he told her how much he loved her and everything.
He's like, but if you want to go, it's okay.
But if you want to leave me from Mexico or how do you say?
But if you want to leave your son.
Yeah.
You can.
You can.
I won't hold it against you.
I'll go visit you, mom.
All right.
Bye, bye, Monique.
Thank you, Raymond.
Hi, thank you, guys.
Hi.
Like, I did.
How did you guys know that I said it?
Monica.
Monica.
Monica and Santa Ana.
Monica.
Monica.
Monica.
Monica.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Monica, you say, tell her how you feel and let her make her stay here.
Well, I just say, Jeanette is very young still, and when you're in college, it's really hard.
You're still figuring out your life, what you want to be.
And you really do need your parents, at least your mom.
And I think she needs to tell her mom that she still needs her.
And her mom would probably be happy to hear that.
and maybe wait a few years until Janet graduates.
Yeah.
But then Jeanette's going to be fresh out of college and still needs her.
And then Jeanette's going to be very, but still a bit, like,
it's going to be a little more mature.
Throw them in the water.
Let them learn how to swim in the water.
Sink or swim.
They don't, see, the thing is too, wouldn't her mom leaving help her figure it out?
Oh, she still needs to mom.
Because she has no choice but to figure it out.
Survival mode, yeah, I guess.
No, no, no.
She's still young.
She could take a different direction.
she still needs her.
Yeah, think about it.
Worst case scenario.
Monica's like, don't leave me.
And I'm telling you this as a very, I'm right there with you.
Like, I'm with my 19 year old, okay, we need to go to the DMV Bay.
We need to make a bank account.
They need to take a birth certificate.
I know, but I know me doing that is a little bit of coddling too because now he's not going to figure it out when it's his turn to figure it out because I'm too busy doing it.
Well, maybe the mom's not like that, but she still needs her presence.
That's support, right?
Just knowing that she's there?
Mom, I'm going to go party and go to the, what is it?
I'm going to go to the frat parties.
Be there when I get back, okay?
I'm going to be hungover.
Answer my call.
I'm going to need a door dash.
Yeah, I'm going to need a door dash, mom.
I need you here.
No, no, no.
I'm talking about emotional support.
Emotional?
You can be emotional support from 6,000 miles away.
Monica, are you a mom?
Yes, I have five kids, and they all went to college,
and I know that at age they're still figuring out.
I have one 19-year-old.
You're so cute.
At what point did you let them figure it out on their own?
Like, at what point did they got it?
Like, they're like, oh, it's all right, mom.
Once they graduate.
Who ignores you the most?
Who, what?
Which one ignores you the most?
Well, my 19-year, I know my 19-year-old, even my 21-year-old,
they still need me.
Ah, yeah.
They need you or you need them, Monica.
No, no, no, no.
They need me.
I don't need them.
You're like sick of them.
Would you be mad if the kids move to Uruguay?
If my child moved?
No.
Of course, not if my child moved.
Okay.
But I wouldn't leave them.
I wouldn't leave them until they graduate.
So if your 19-year-old came up to you, like,
hey, mom, you know what?
I'm going to move to London.
Like, I'm ready to go.
That's fine.
That's fine.
She's not a problem with them.
Yeah.
It's her leaving them.
She's going to have mom guilt for that.
This is my nest.
Right, Monica.
Monica?
Yes.
Yeah.
So once a 21-year-old is 30 and once the 19-year-old is 40, then you're going to be cool.
They're going to have it all figured out, right?
No, even before that, whenever they're ready.
But it's when they're ready.
Well, have you even asked them?
Good mom.
I hope they all.
I hope they made you.
brunch and bought you flowers and took you to a restaurant for Mother's Day.
I hope they did all of that.
Yeah, we had brunch.
Oh, see?
She sounds like she makes incredible cookies.
I'm going to just put them.
Do you make good cookies?
No, I don't like to bake.
You make good and chillada, huh?
I'm busy cooking food.
Oh, cooking food.
Yeah, real food, Vic.
Okay, chila realleno or what?
She's real prepping for her five kids.
Yeah.
All right.
Okay.
You're a really good mom.
You are.
It seems like you also are very selfless
mom.
Your kids are your life.
They are.
Yeah.
They're your Valentine.
No.
No.
Not my Valentine.
Who's your Valentine?
Do you have a man?
My husband.
My husband.
Aw, see.
He's by the main one, huh?
She's so sweet.
There's something you're not telling us because you're whispering.
Yeah.
Are you at work?
No.
I'm getting ready to go.
Oh, you're so cute.
All right.
You're the best mom ever.
You are.
girls, you're Monica, I mean, excuse me, Janet, tell your mom so that she can stay.
Just like Monica, what?
Does you guys need them?
Because, because I think her mom needs to hear that she still needs.
Oh, okay.
Got it.
So the mom just needs, like, that, like, I guess, responsibility in sense?
Like, yeah, you're still my mom.
No, it's like that feeling of shackle.
Is it?
Shackle is?
No.
I'm thinking of, like, you.
Just thinking, like, feeling needed, you know?
That's what the mom wants.
Being like, you can't think for yourself or do life for yourself.
Yes, yes.
Yeah.
That's shackle?
Doing like, hey, you wanted kids, didn't you?
Be there for them.
Yeah.
I'm just kidding.
I'm like the total, I'm the momiest of the moms in here.
I know you are.
When you sit down, I want to move up.
I'm like, yeah, right.
Bro.
They left their water bottles in my car.
I'm driving to their elementary as soon as this is over.
So to make sure that they have water.
That's cute.
assured me that he's getting them water balls.
I don't, like, not that I don't trust it, but I'm like, I have to be double short.
Yeah.
They pulled up with like the huge one-liter, uh, mountain valley glass bottles.
For sure.
They have boss.
Okay.
So, Janet, you got to tell your mom guilt her somehow.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Tell her you need her.
Tell her you want to buy a car.
Tell her you want to, I don't know.
You need your passport.
Yeah.
And tell her bad things about Urawai or just that it's not that interesting because I've been like
trying to look up anything interesting.
haven't really found too many things.
Okay, we're not going to fix a whole country.
I'm not.
I'm not.
That was Rosecransvik and Rosecransvik only.
I love Uduy.
It's okay.
It's the smallest country in Latin America.
But I was just looking up and they have like a cool.
All hate mail to Rosecrans.
It's okay.
It was only a little bit.
But look,
they do have this thing on the beach that it's like,
it's like a hand that's like pretty cool.
It's like I would like to visit that.
No,
it's like a hand buried in the sand.
I just want you to know.
It's a hand buried in the sand.
That's what they are.
The soccer player is from Uduwai one time.
and bid somebody.
No way.
So be careful what you wish for.
All right.
Well, we're going to end this.
Yeah.
We're going to end.
And I know everyone's thirsty for these Kendrick Lamar tickets.
It's sold out going down this week.
And we have your sold out tickets to see Kendrick's Siz on Mustard and Friends because I know they're bringing people out.
Especially for the L.A.
Oh, yeah.
Facts.
For sure.
So we're looking for Collar 10.
Hit us up so that you can go and you're going to earn it.
Okay.
On the line.
Hold on.
Who do we have?
Power 106.
Who's this?
What's the do you from?
Alejandra from Torrance
All right
Alejandra
From Torrance
Alejandra are you ready to play
Yes
All right you got to earn these tickets
And I'm going to read you a quote
You're going to have five seconds to tell me
Did Kendrick say this or did
Tupac say this
Okay
How good are you with your Tupacness
And your Kendrick list
Oh that's a tough one
Okay
That means
Don't be nervous
What does that mean
All right
Here's your first one.
Here's a message to the newborns waiting to breathe.
If you believe, then you can achieve.
Just look at me.
Kendrick or Pock?
Five.
Five. Four.
Two.
Tupac?
One.
You don't want to take that back.
These are sold out.
These are sold out Kendrick Lamar tickets.
I'm firm with my answer.
You're firm with your answer.
Oh.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Is it Tupac?
Let's go.
Were you like wrapping it in your head?
It was so hard to say it without saying the cadence, by the way.
Yeah.
How did you know was Tupac?
Oh, girl.
It was a guess.
It was a guess that you were heard.
You're lying to me.
Who's in the car with you?
It was a guest.
I was a guest because I was-
There you go.
Who's the one that told you?
My daughter.
She's in the back.
We're on our way to drop out of school.
What's her name?
What's her name?
My name is Annalea.
Analia.
Shout out to you.
Shout out to you for knowing this.
Tupac expert.
Let's go.
He was talking about you.
He was talking about you and, Leah, when he said this.
Congratulations.
You just won your mom a night out.
We-hoo.
He's actually going with me.
She's the one that calls and she's like, Mom, we're getting the tickets.
You're taking me.
What?
Congratulations.
You manifest of that.
Do you want to do any shout-outs to your friends at school?
you want to shout out your friend at school mama
I don't know
you don't know
I said man they don't
they didn't win these tickets
you won these tickets
congratulations
that's great
bro because she's like I'm firm on this
and it's like okay
get a little Tupac head up in here
yeah
and the Leah's like
to say it was a guess
I guess
right
and the Leah was like
don't I don't want to shout out my friends
because they're going to know
I got tickets
true
like mom
that's Tupac and Scarface
that's smile mom
you better be firm
I told you mom.
This is not Kendrick.
A little hip-hop, a little backpack on that girl.
I know, that's so cute.
I think the best way to know is, like, try to do it in the, like you said in the cadence.
It's like, message to the noopo.
Yeah.
I wanted to do that so bad.
Me.
I was like, how do I see it without?
Okay, well, there goes mine.
I wanted to do another one.
Yes.
Yeah.
Just for funcies?
Like, yeah, for funzies.
Which one of you knows?
Angie.
Kendrick and Tupac the least.
Just try me.
Okay.
Angie, she knows all Tupac quotes.
Tupac's.
Okay, then go Vick.
Random quotes.
Go Vick.
You go.
If I told you that a flower bloomed in a dark room.
Would you trust it?
Kendrick or Puck?
No, Angie.
I'm talking to you.
Oh, I thought Vic was going to do it.
I'm going to say Tupac.
If I told you that a flower bloom in a dark room.
It's because of how I said it.
Yeah, I know, but it's Kendrick.
I know.
I was trying to do it.
The Tupacian.
I told you in a dark room.
Don't you trust it.
All right.
All right.
Well, we have more tickets.
Coming up a 99.
No fun.
Connected like I'm rosecrans.
Roastcrans.
Roastcrans.
Word on Rosecrans.
The word is Joey Badass filed official paperwork to start Top Dog East.
Ooh.
All right.
So Joey Baddust has had a back and forth with TDE for a while now.
Last week he was freestyling with Ab Sol.
And they lightly dissed each other.
It was nothing crazy.
But in that freestyle, he threw shots at Ray Vaughn, who's from TDE.
And he previously.
thrown shots at, and Ray Vaughan had previously thrown shots at Joey on a track called Crash Out Heritage.
All right, listen to, oh, okay, so listen to Joey Badass's clip of him dissing.
Yeah. Ray Vaughn responded immediately with the diss song of his own, and here's a snippet of that.
Catch him at the staple center. Bet you I'm a spark. Goofy don't let power get your TV turned off.
You didn't ran and tell him step us who don't top dance. Coochie trash bands just for you to put them rap scene.
Conductor got you sounded like you in a jazz band. Why ain't after Doddy think he pack man?
Ooh, CJ like 40 in a neon drugs. Click baiting for the honeycomb. Get your own buzz.
Scalitians inside my closet playing bone thugs. I put the whole pro era on a pro club.
So yeah, that was vicious
But Joey got right back to him
On a song called the finals the next day
And he said that Ray is going to be the next guy
Cut from Top Dogs roster
Listen to this
What kind of top dog is you
You more shit show
You was cloned in the lab dog
You artificial
You know for your label
Not because you're artificial
And I ain't gotta talk about I broke you all to fix you
Because when I sit shots at you
It'd be hard to miss you
Ain't gotta know the magazine
Just to press this issue
In fact
These ain't even shots
They missus
Trying to out class a badass
So I gotta dismiss you
You all bark no bite
For hit doors
Go on holler
Now it's time I put them on the collar
I let them rock while I charge up for top dollar
You the next
Getting dropped off the top roster
Shee
Yeah the back and forth is real
And just noted Joey badass has been going
And trying to get Kendrick to come out
And they're like nah
It's kind of like when in hit him up
Way and Pock's like, I'm going to send you my little homies after you.
Yeah.
And they're going to get you too.
And the outlaws is up and ready.
Ray Vine is doing great.
This back and forth is amazing.
But it's actually what Joey Badass did this weekend that I think was the what part of this all.
Like, forget the parts of the bars.
It's what he did outside.
No, yeah.
So, you know, he went in and said that he's responsible for the biggest moments of Ray's career
and that he wants to get in business with TDE because of it.
All right.
Listen to this.
It's about time top, let your ass off for the leash.
Sign for five years, yet your biggest moment for me.
Can't nobody name a single song you ever released.
Even Crash Out wasn't your original beat.
Every time Joey dropped, you see he eats.
I did more for you than the whole of TDE.
It's too bad you should have been signed to me.
Somebody tail top, we're about to start T.D. East.
So he said he wants to start T.D. East.
Yep.
Apparently it just wasn't a bar because Joey made it a real thing.
He did.
he posted a filing receipt of a new business that he's starting in the state of New York with Anthony Tiffith, who's better known as top dogs.
So he's bringing the bars to life, and he went even further and established a website, Td.east.com.
So if you guys log in right now, you go to Td.east.com. It's a real website, and it has a link to Joey Baddasses, the finals diss.
It's the first thing that. He just did. The mascot's super cool.
Oh, yeah.
This is like a New York Knicks.
Yeah, it's a smart way of like adding like marketing and trolling to the to the battle because now it's not just about bars anymore.
It's really about like what you're doing on socials and the trolling aspect of the.
Yeah.
But he wasn't done there.
He had one more thing to say before he did, Joey did.
He challenged Mr. Kendrick Lamar.
Listen to this.
Been a beast with these foes.
You can ask that.
Columini part two.
Yeah, that was my last shot.
And it's the difference between that.
fool is back let's be clear i salute you kenny but i know you what to win we're looking for some
competition then just know that i'll be right here straight like that look that's nice it's cool
i think stay with the rave on one that that one yeah yeah yeah everyone wants to fight canelo
everyone wants to fight the people at the top it's like what are you doing to get there how are you
making yourself my mandatory like like what are you doing and i think it part of that is this right
here. Yeah. Yeah. Shout to Joey Baddust. Like we said, we've been complimenting this guy up and down.
Great New York rapper. He has like the fundamentals of what it is to be a rapper, like all of that.
But keep it with Ray Vaughn. Let's see, let's see where that goes. Yeah, I definitely don't feel that it's a, like, he obviously is trying to poke the bear.
Yeah. For sure. I don't think the bear is going to wake up. No. And then, and then honestly, like, you still, I don't know that you've clearly won against Ray yet.
No. No. So, like, have fun there. Like, that, that's.
me and Rayvon is like a again he he's lyrical and he's fun and he's trolly because sometimes you can
only be a lyrical rapper you know like even Joey badass like he i don't know that he can get those
inflections off that like a Rayvon can you know like and just like that funness in the this song yeah
i think ray von like if we're talking about like this songs that then become hits he's more
likely to give us a slapper rap like this song then joey because joey's just too hard pressed
on that's a yellow rap and it's just who he is
sometimes you can't get out of that so that
outside stuff the loki getting the
LLC and getting the TD East
all of that which I'm wondering
if Top Dog is even behind
all of this as a whole
that's what this had me started questioning
because I don't know that top would let
that fly I don't think so I'm like you're putting
my name on an LLC so I'm like
wait are they showing us that they're all behind
it yeah and there is
that link with like you know Absol
and Joey being pretty cool
Too friendly.
You know what I'm saying?
Too friendly for this to be a beef to take serious because you wouldn't be around your ops or like your ops homies.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And feel comfortable.
Yeah.
You know?
And that would be an insane smart rollout.
Rollout.
It would.
For a collab?
Not even for a collab.
No.
For the rages.
Start of T.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
That.
And then also, I mean, you know, it's, it's showcasing a lot of raised talents.
And like, it's like, okay, well, now we're talking about them.
It's been like, you know, a week of us talking about him and, like, other people are as well.
The only thing that makes me think, like, okay, maybe this isn't nobody's behind it is he had some rude things to say that, like, we can't necessarily play on the radio about, like, how everybody's, I guess, D-Riding Kendrick.
And it was like, it was that part of the disc was pretty disrespectful, you know, and so I was like, that part made it.
In the finals?
That it was like, he took it a little far.
Yeah.
Yeah, but he got more explicit, I guess, yeah.
True. He said that and Absel still rap with him.
That's true.
True. True.
Yeah.
Well, this one was more specific to, like, Kendrick and, like, what they do.
And then they're like, man, he won't even let you in his house.
Right.
And then they said a bunch of other.
Also, like, this beef isn't like the Kendrick Drake beef.
No.
Like, right there, there was actually, like, disdain and they didn't like each other.
Yeah.
It's almost like, Joey's just like, hey, I want to be part of this.
Challenging the talent.
Yeah, exactly.
So it's not like.
More friendly in a way.
Just looking at him like, oh, what, Joey?
Like, I'm a distant.
No, it's like, uh, Joey's funny.
Yeah, I just don't see how you could put someone's name on the deed or whatever it is to your new business.
And that person be like not no.
Like that, if that's the case, I'm going to put a freaking Sean Carter on everything.
Like on something new, on a new business that I start.
Like, you get what I'm saying?
You would have to have that co-signer.
Yeah, right.
This is Anthony's top dog Tiffith as his, like, co-business owner.
Yeah.
T.D.E.
And they even, like, marked out, like, the filing number and stuff like that.
Right.
Redacted it.
Yeah, so I was like, me too.
That kind of threw me for a loop.
I'm like, oh, is this real?
Like, because why would you have to cover up the number if it wasn't?
It's not a graphic either because I think people did their little Googles and that it is like a registered trade market.
So I don't know.
Either we're all kind of a part of the.
this beef they're having us play into?
Yeah.
Or how Joey happened to do that.
And by the way, like, not for nothing, but and shout out to TDE.
But TDE already has East Coast Town and Sizz is not from out here.
No, she's not from out here.
You know, it's not a strictly like West Coast thing.
Yeah.
So it's something I just didn't make sense.
Even Isaiah, Rashad's not from out here.
Where's your from?
Chattanooga.
Yep.
Where's that?
Yeah, where's that?
Tennessee.
Oh.
I thought he was out here because he had a civic.
Yeah
The Cilia tape
Yeah
Bro, don't make you feel dumb
About my backpack miss
No, he named the whole
tape after his car
No?
No, Civilia
Oh
Civia
Yeah
I read Civic
It's close
What's a Civilia?
It's a Nizabin
I don't know
Oh but it's a whip
I think so
Yeah I think it is
I think it is
I think it is
Yeah
All right
Look Gunna has
Covered up his YSL tattoo
And Young Thug
Has something to say about it
Oh
All right, so Atlanta artist posted a new, Atlanta artist gonna post a new photo of him in the gym,
and people notice that the tattoo of YASL that he had on his arm is now covered up.
All right.
And Young Thug saw this and he posted on, like on a comment on one of the pages that posted it and said,
I mean he said it must end, LOL.
And this is in reference to Gunna's statement that he signed when he accepted a plea deal to get out of jail two years ago.
Oh.
And the statement said YSEL as a gang must end.
Gunna said that.
Yeah.
So now he's like, well, he did say it must end.
So, you know, this is just, you know, kind of fueling the fact that like they don't get along.
You know what I'm saying?
And Gunna distancing himself even more from YSO.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's interesting because at first they were trying to make it seem like they were still cool when he got out.
Yeah.
But it does feel like they're distancing themselves.
And also it feels like Gunna is just completely like ignoring everything on that side.
Yeah.
Which is probably what you should do if your friend group got caught up like that to be like, hey, we probably got us part ways.
Yeah.
Right.
And we got to change our lifestyle.
Yeah.
And I don't think either of them are trying to go back.
Not at all.
And, you know, Gunna especially, you know, you can actually see the physical transformation, you know, him being in the gym all the time, being focused, like being on like this more poppy side of the industry.
Yeah.
It seems like Young Thuk kind of went back to like his old homies.
not the necessarily like the YSL homies, but the rap homies.
You know, you still seem making songs with Future, Travis Scott and stuff like that.
So he seems to be like, all right, you got those friends.
Like, I still got my rap homies over here.
Gunna's kind of on the other side, like just doing his own thing.
Yeah.
And it hasn't affected like Gunna's streaming or even tickets.
No, right off.
He's still selling shows out.
Yeah.
So, I mean.
People know him besides the affiliation.
And I think that's the thing too, because there's one point where they only know you
because of the affiliation.
Right.
I never thought Gunner's.
a YSL member.
Like I never thought that.
He's always kind of made a way for himself
so he can depart that way.
And same for Thug.
True.
You know?
But it's like,
it's the fact that they were part of a crew.
Now that crew is effectively dismantled.
Thanks to the government.
Now it's dismantled and it's like,
okay, covering up tats.
Maybe you don't like the brand anymore.
Maybe he's over it or that.
He probably saw in the mirror like,
oh, I still have this?
You want your ex-holmies to still have something
that reminds them of you on them?
Like, that's true.
Or even like an ex-es-
name on it you got to erase all that yeah he covered it with uh flames right yeah
fire yeah fire exactly that all right that was your word on rose crans brought to by local
southern california toy dealers i'm rose crans vick for brown bag mornings on power 106
hey sombrosella with angie all right so lado wait on a live stream for six hours over the
weekend with this streamer called little tay um not sorry ty lill right he's not as known as
kaisen up but he is known he's like up there with numbers and stuff like that so lotto was
actually invited to go over with her sister, right?
But you would think they'd be having fun, which they did.
But it got really awkward when, like, the streamer, Tailil, he started pressing
lotto about her body count.
Listen.
Why are you always saying any muses?
That's all just, stop saying that, bro.
Stop saying what?
Why are you always sending a song how much bodies you got, though?
Who gives a...
Who ever said?
I said, I have a low body count.
No, you always make it seem as if you could count your bodies on one hand.
I can, though.
I can, though.
But why does that matter, though?
This is my music.
Listen.
If I go in the booth and I rap my music, I'm going to pop my real life.
In real life.
Listen, why does that matter?
So you can just hear it.
It's like, dude, like out of nowhere, they're like outside of a restaurant.
And then Tylo, he starts asking, like, Lotto, like, pressing her about that.
Like, why do you got to even mention it?
Yeah.
But that's why she's like, it's because it's my life.
You don't, if you don't believe me, I don't care if you don't believe me.
Because at the end of the day, what matters is that my man believes me.
Yeah.
And if you guys know, Lotto's.
always known about always saying she has a very low body count, things like that.
And so it was just weird that Tylo, he just out of nowhere started asking her, like,
why do you always got to mention it all the time?
Did she date?
No, she stayed because I'm telling you, I guess it's like a six-hour stream.
And I'm assuming they have to be there for those six hours.
They don't have to be there.
But maybe that's the thing.
Maybe it's like six hours with Tileal or something.
I don't know.
But like, yeah, honestly, like a lot of artists have left for less, you know.
I'm saying?
For sure.
Interviews for less when it's like...
Even bigger streamers as well.
I know she talks about that in her music, but also it's like, when you're just right
next to somebody, like, that's pretty rude to just start, like, getting on that subject.
Unless they patched up after.
How was it after?
They seem to patch it up, but before that, he also, like, I don't know where I started
pressing her, is talking about, like, do you even feel confident wearing, like,
with no makeup?
Listen.
Do you have both to ask confident without makeup?
Yes.
Yeah, I ain't all right.
No, we go out all the time without makeup.
Like, the mall.
Stop.
I'll be in the club.
I've never seen Lotto
when I met Lottom
Yeah.
Look at our makeup?
Yes.
My last picture got no makeup,
wait.
What did I say?
What did I say?
What did I see how I want to make up?
Yes.
You could have went in no makeup.
I wanted a few who be outside
when no makeup up.
So it's again,
she's like what?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's,
to me,
when it comes to the live streamers,
it's interesting
because you never know
what's like a setup
and what is it.
Yes.
Because for artists,
like Lotto,
you know,
we interview artists here.
Usually they have
someone who is like, hey, trying to ask this or do this, right?
Where I feel like that would probably be something like, hey, let's not talk about her body
cut anymore, you know?
Not necessarily.
I think that they, that just seems to be his style.
Just to press them, I don't know.
I haven't seen his streams.
That seems to be how he is.
Anything they ask, oh, what?
Like, he would trip if they answered another way.
Like, he would react trippy.
Yeah, it seems like whatever your answer is, like if he's like, oh, do you
you feel confident going without makeup?
No, I feel like I have to wear makeup.
Really?
You feel like you have to wear?
It would be the same reaction as if, yeah, I feel confident.
Really, you feel confident?
He's going to give that same, I guess, to reaction.
Yeah, it could be that.
That could be like his shtick right now, whatever you want to call it.
Like, if you guys remember when Kai was like starting out a couple years ago and he was like
hitting on every girl.
Right.
He was hitting on Ice Spice.
Oh, I love a man in Nike Texu.
He goes and puts one on.
You know, or when, you know, he starts talking to Tyler like, oh, yeah, can we
go out on a date and she's like no but see that's the different though that's because at least like
kai's being friendly being joking about it but this fool to me it just came out as rude it's like
you're inviting her it is it is right how he is yeah but that might be part of like his style you know
and lot of might have known that before well i hope so because she's also not saying i'm disrespect
she's also going back like yeah yeah yeah yeah she's me she's meeting his energy yeah and i think
maybe it's also because lauda brought her sister that maybe she feels like she has that support
The backup?
Yeah.
The backup, yeah.
Yeah.
No, and there's this other streamer I've seen.
His name is Reggie, and he just, like, goes in on everybody he talks to, like, bad.
And you're just like, what the heck?
Why would anybody want to be on there?
But people are, like, entertained.
You know what I'm saying?
It's the end of the day.
It gets the people going.
It does.
But I just, I honestly found that rude.
I'm like, a lot of, if I was you, I would have stepped out.
It is rude.
You don't need to be, like, actually staying that for that stream for six hours of just streaming
and then him being rude or pressing her for random.
Turn the streaming off.
Yeah.
Yeah, because then what else would you do?
What else?
Yeah, it's like it's live.
It's not like you can edit it or anything.
No, but like what else would you do for six hours?
I don't know.
Play video games?
What do the streamers do?
Yeah.
With Lato.
Yeah.
Well, we don't know.
All right, that's it for Sondrasala brought to you by your local
Southern California Twitter dealers.
I'm Angie from Brownback Mornings.
I'm part of one else.
Okay.
A couple of things that we're going to go through.
Okay.
First of all, please go to our Instagram right now.
Brownback Mornings 106 on Instagram.
I think AI just has a thing with Vic.
Yeah.
To just.
My mortal enemy.
Right?
It makes me too fast.
You were always chunky when we do the like the AI conversions.
Honestly, AI got me in the gym.
I'm not.
He asked like, am I really this big?
You guys didn't tell me.
AI told me.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying.
So I've been in the gym ever since.
Told you what my son said.
El gordito or the most gordito.
And I was like, oh, wow.
I didn't know there was still a kid.
That's wild.
But he's in there.
That's all that does.
He's in the gym and he's feeling good and he's feeling great.
But Power Vision, I don't know how bored he was this weekend.
Power Vision is like the guy that does these things like.
Listen to Brown Bag Morning.
Like that.
Wake up LA.
106.
L.A.'s number one for hip-hop.
Like that in radio is called imaging.
Which basically it lets you see a picture even though you're listening.
That's really amazing.
Wow.
But Power Vision.
is our homie and he also took a stab at AI.
We have a photo that we took in front of a GNX.
Shout to our guy, Umberto, who was your cousin or your homie that had it?
One of my homeboys.
One of his homeboys.
Just has GenX line around.
And we took a photo and it was really cool.
So Power Vision AI did it to have us dance.
Yeah.
Go look at it and just have a good time.
Angie, you said they're perfect.
If you feel sad, this is going to make you feel super happy.
specifically focusing on Rose Cranesvik.
Yeah.
He's already like, this is going to give my girl the ick, man.
Sleeping on the couch tonight.
It's like that video made me like drop it like it's hot.
Yeah.
Really, really hot though.
Yeah, like super hot.
And more so than everybody else.
So like I'm wondering like when you said like Power Vision as our homey, I'm like I'm not sure.
Right.
Because I felt like he like.
Did he prompt it a certain way?
I feel like he threw a little more zest my way.
You know what I'm saying?
Now zes this way.
Zest that way.
There's one version of the video where I even disappeared.
Yeah.
Yeah, you guys danced up.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
It's because you're such a prize.
Yeah.
It's not too quick.
It dances like that.
Whoa, get over here.
I didn't last very long.
So, uh, yeah.
It's insane and AI, you are my moral enemy and it's up.
Yeah.
I'm unplugging all computers today.
But we did that all to say, hey, we have your last chance to get.
Yes, we do.
All we.
right here on Power 106, okay?
We're even planning something super duper special.
Hopefully we're able to give you the details
tomorrow morning about what we're doing
where you can meet us live in person
during the morning and also win tickets
to the sold out show.
We're thinking of doing something on Friday.
We'll give more details tomorrow,
more details tomorrow.
I wanted to leave you guys with like inspiring words.
Okay.
And there's no one more inspiring in all of us
than Umberto.
Look at his little smile.
Oh, that is a little robotic smile.
You're made like half metal,
aren't you?
Half, yeah.
My arm, my hip, my ankle.
Yeah.
Except his heart.
Yeah, his strong, titanium right there.
He got in a motorcycle accident a few years back.
Was put together.
Basically like a puzzle piece almost, right?
Skin crafting everything.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And now he just sees life differently.
He does.
Let me know if any of us would do the same thing he did this weekend, okay?
Someone hit him.
A car hit?
Oh, okay.
He tells the person.
and I know this because I was watching his video
that he put on Instagram.
He tells the person, you know what?
Go ahead.
You're fine.
I'll take care of it.
What?
What?
It was a tiny hit.
It was like literally that just scuff marks.
But then like to me it's like I've been through like insurance and I'm like,
I don't want to like go through the whole process.
Because you're like, you know what?
I'm just buff it out.
So that's only just going your way.
Bro.
And then he tried to play like the victim game.
He's like, oh, the guy behind me.
And I'm like, relax, bro.
Like I know the guy behind you didn't hit you.
I was watching you.
I was like just admit that you did some.
wrong. I'm like, and you're good, bro, just go.
So yeah, he's like, hey, my bad. And then we just
had a hug, like, literally on the freeway.
What? And I sure got, he just left after.
No, you did not hug. On the shoulder. Yeah, yeah.
Wait, was the hug on the shoulder?
Did you guys front to front? Did you guys hug front to front?
Yeah, or back to. Come here, bro. Okay, so, hold on.
You're going through something clearly you, you crashed into me.
Okay, umberto. Because life is crashing in you.
I'm hungry. No, no, no, no. Umberto, you got to think of this.
This is what happened, all right?
A guy rammed into.
to you.
Yep.
And then you got out of your car and you hugged them.
Yeah.
That's what happened.
That's exactly what happened.
And then you said, no, no.
Tell him, go watch.
And then you dance in front of his car, Vic.
Yeah.
Don't even, don't let him.
Umberto, you got to be careful with optics around here, right?
Umberto, doesn't your,
says Vic?
Yes.
Doesn't your back and your neck hurt?
A little bit.
See?
Okay.
Wow.
Wow.
Your neck and your back?
Does that mean I should cost me?
No.
You should have.
But I think.
you guys ruined it didn't you hugged it I don't know like that yeah you hugged it
didn't exchange information it's crazy you hugged in the middle of the freeway that's okay
but this is just how positive umberto is like yeah and it's it's crazy because it happened
the morning of the run club my husband comes home he's like hey umberto got in a car accident
i was like wait what he's like yeah no he came late he seems to be fine he came late to the run
club apologized and said that was there was like a car accident he was in so then i see his
instagram yeah and he was like you know i could take care of this but i just want to make sure i
take care of like my my my human my brother in christ and i'm hope i hope he's doing a good day the guy that
questioned me how many of us wish the person we read it or whatever said the same thing not me
i'm that one you're that one you're the grace of god i'm pretty sure he was like oh my god this
gonna be so stressful and then here with umberto you know what bro i'll take care of i feel like us encouraging
this you're a blessing look at him look at him he's a blessing he's a he's a he's sweaty he's a sign that
god is real to that guy yeah he could have been another thing true it could have yeah give me your
information this is gonna cost more you even though it's a scrap is already yeah exactly and i've been
there done that so that's why just like for me it's just like it's some little i just gonna be
good karma for you i don't want him to turn this into a habit and just start hitting the brakes
So people hit him and then he gets hugs.
He can hug them. He can hug them.
It's okay. It's fine.
Just give me a hug and we can move on.
April, just in me you were wrong.
Give me a hug.
And you can go.
Have a blessed day.
I just wanted you to know there's people like Umberto that exist.
Yeah.
Jesus.
Yeah, because when he did that, turn the other cheek.
Facts.
You for sure turn the other cheek.
He's crazy.
Not turn the other cheek after you were.
No, no, no.
What are you talking about?
Would you guys do it?
No.
Someone bumps into you?
This is just a scuff?
No.
Me costo.
This is going to be expensive.
I'm a girl I cannot buff.
Yeah.
Give me your information.
Umberto,
give me an abrazo.
Let's just give Umberto a round of applause, though.
Yes.
You're a kind person.
You are.
You are.
That's good part, ma' though.
Yeah.
Something nice is going to happen.
And then I bet for the rest of the day, like, it affected you, but it's like, it's not a stress on you.
It wasn't.
I still went to the gym and I still went to go run.
I hit my five miles.
It's amazing.
See, that's perfect.
Alasame by arrasseme by the last.
Domemese.
You said it first on the freeway.
Well, that's my other cachete.
Sorry, sorry.
This one's really, really serious and sad.
We're talking about the Mexican Navy ship.
that crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend.
We've been seeing social media videos on it.
There were part of the fleet of the ship were kind of attached to the sails.
There's people standing on it.
Yeah.
So people were tripping out that not only you see a ship kind of hit the bridge and it's like,
okay, it broke, but it's like, wait, there's people that are up there.
Right?
Yeah.
So apparently this is something that the sailors do.
They harness themselves to the mass of it to,
kind of just show it's a it's a it's a it's a show of like thank you for letting us dock right they were docked
in the harbor over at new york harbor and it's a traditional performance put on by the crew of the
quatemok which is what the navy ship is called it's 43 years old whenever they enter or leave a port
oh okay so they do that they strap themselves in and then they say goodbye it looks beautiful
it does right previous to even like i guess and unfortunately i only know about this because of the shipwreck
but the video or that photos or people were showing prior to this happening,
it looked beautiful.
I understand what they were trying to get at.
And it was a beautiful show of like, you know, pride in the Mexican flag,
the Navy ship and the crew.
However, what ended up happening was that the ship lost power somehow.
Because it lost power, the current of the water started taking it towards the bridge.
These guys and these men and women are strapped onto the map.
So, of course, they can't really do much within the matter of time it would take to kind of go down.
So you're kind of up there like, all right, do I stay attached?
And maybe like, that will help me from falling.
Yep.
Because I'm attached to the boat.
Yeah.
But I didn't know that this was also going to crash into the Brooklyn Bridge.
You know, almost because people, like, you could see there's people on the side watching it.
Beautiful display.
Right.
And they also were as shocked as everyone on the video because they were like, okay, it's coming towards us.
but it almost, I felt like they felt like it was going to stop.
Yes.
And then you finally see when it hits, people are like, okay, this is not like planned.
And they started running.
And it also seemed like there was people that, I guess they were like notified about it before.
Like, hey, like the Mexican ship is going to pass through here.
So come look.
So no, there was people taking grad photos.
Oh, in order to have that in the background.
To have that in the background of the Brooklyn Bridge.
So you see a lot of people in their cap and gown taking grad photos,
with their sashes and stuff like that.
Maybe they were Mexican heritage to see the Mexican, you know what I'm saying?
The flag in the background.
Which is a beautiful thing.
It is.
Yeah.
And so they just start, that just immediately turns into a nightmare.
You know, those people are like running away.
And then also it's like concern for like what's going to happen.
Is the bridge going to get knocked over?
Is the boat going to fall?
And it's like, are we going to be harmed and stuff like that?
It was really sad to see it.
I guess up until the moment probably too, if you're the captain of the ship and you're
where maybe these things are happening
there's an electrical error something's
going down where I lost I lost control
of the ship at what point do you
warn your crew
or even how can it get that
high up because they're at the top it's like
100 excuse me it's a hundred and
47 foot tall
mass right of your ship
how does it get to the crew
you know and
in time for me to fix it
and also these people
like they're performing at
some point like they're there this is something they do on often whenever they go into a port
leave a port so to them it's like okay do we sacrifice not for nothing do we the show quote
unquote if maybe they can fix it unaware that the tides and the wind and everything it was just
an unfortunate event as of right now we have learned that there were two two people that ended up
passing away a man and a woman both cadets on this this um excuse me on the sailboat for the
Mexican Navy, two people and another 22 injured, 11 of them critically.
And the crew is a 277 sailor crew.
So still our hearts go out, still something we're watching.
It's an insane visual.
I think I appreciate that there's no, I guess, flips being made about because it's a
Mexican ship or in America.
Honestly, when stuff like this happens, I kind of feel fear of like,
how are they going to flip it into
see what happens Mexico
or this? Like I have that
genuine fear. Please do not. Like this is
a tragic event. Please don't not make it
politicize it. Yeah, I thought the same
thing. I was like, oh man.
Here comes the jokes. Here comes to get a tag.
But, I mean, it's unfortunate
for the people that lost their lives and
you know, critically injured. And I was also
worried for people driving on the
bridge. Because a lot of them
could affect a bridge. Yeah, I mean, we weren't
sure like if it could have
like broken the bridge or swayed it.
Swayed it.
And how many people are driving through it on their, you know,
coming from work on their day to day life and not even realizing what's going on, you know,
tragic.
Yeah, it looked like a scene out of like a scary, you know, a thriller movie or something like that.
The ship itself and the Mexican Navy and all of that, that, that to me, I wish that I learned about it before
because it is just seeing that.
Yeah.
I had never heard about it until like right now that that happened.
happen. All right. Well, we'll definitely keep you updated on more.
