Starting point is 00:00:00 Before the podcast starts, make sure you like, subscribe to the channel, leave a review, and send the link to a friend while you're at it. The more brown back, the better. Come on. You ever love something so much, like the sport of boxing, that you hate to see it. Yes. It hurts. It turns into a whore.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Right? You ever just love a girl so much, and then you just hate to see her, just be for the streets? Yeah, I do. You always hope that happens after you? Yeah. Oh, I hope it never happens. Not during. That's why I feel like the fourth box, man.
Starting point is 00:00:37 I'm just seated and I'm in the stands, and it was this past weekend, Chavez Jr. versus Paul. And I remember when this fight was first announced, it got me upset. Because I'm like, what's going to happen is this was going to make an embarrassment out of a Mexican fighter, and Chavez Jr. has such a lineage that is just going to hurt us. Like, we are going to be the butt of every joke. Yeah. And we're going to be used. And I said this as when the fight was first announced.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Yeah. It's not Jake Paul's stupid little face. Oh, my God. I like this outfit, though. I'm not going to lie. His little, like, robe that he had? Because then it ended up happening, y'all. Declaring your winner by unanimous decision.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Jake! What is even El Gallo de Dorado? They're supposed to El Gallo Dorado. They're supposed to El Gallo Dorado. But they're like, they don't even care about their tenses or their grammar or anything. He fought Chavez Jr. You know, we all know Chavez is incredible. Senior.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Yeah. His son was also a world champion, so you cannot put that past him. Yes, he'd had a bunch of problems. But honestly, what boxer doesn't? Yeah, who doesn't? So many boxers have the same issues that Chavez Jr. did have. You know? And it just gets annoying that then they go in the ring.
Starting point is 00:01:53 And what seems to be or supposed to be a boxing match turned into just Jake Paul hitting a pinata and our guy, Chavez Jr., not doing anything. Because the first few rounds, it was all defense for Chavez Jr. Yeah. It was really strange seeing how it went like round for round until it got towards the end of the fight. It looked like Chavez finally decided to fight, which makes- Which finally was allowed to fight. That's-
Starting point is 00:02:20 What annoys me. This gets me upset on, I wonder what's in these contracts. Like, maybe you're not allowed to hit somebody like the first couple rounds because that's not, that's what it seemed like. Yeah. Chavez Jr. did not land one single punch the first round. You can't tell me that happens. It's because Jake Paul is like this elusive, incredible. No.
Starting point is 00:02:38 He was just up there defense the whole time. And it makes me wonder if that's in the contract because, hey, like you'll get your pay out. I got to win. All of that. It just, there's something about the professional sport of boxing. At least maybe my eyes are just opening to quote unquote Santa Claus not being real. But me growing up thinking like, no, these guys really go in there and they want to tear each other's head off and they want to be the best in the world. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Or else they're just acting. Yeah, it almost felt like acting. It's interesting because Jake Paul landed 140. 40 punches in Chavez 61, but the percentage of Chavez was a lot higher when he decided to fight. When he decided to fight later. They interviewed him after and he was like, yeah, you know, I was tired the first four rounds. And then I, it's like, no, that's the opposite. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:22 It's usually you get tired in the later rounds. It's just a very odd thing to say. Yeah. And Jake Paul is definitely taking advantage. He did look really fit and he did look like he was a good boy. This is 11 fights that he, I believe he's 11-1. 12-1. 12-1 now.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Oh, with this one. Yeah. But to understand that he has that and he's now going, like he's in boxing. Yeah. That's it. I think I've seen more real punches thrown at WWE than that fight. I just honestly felt really bad for Chavez Sr. Who he just looks so upset, almost like disgusted.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And he kept trying to coach like his son at the end of the fight. Like, hey, you should have done this. And you can see his son just like, yeah, yeah, whatever, old man. They're in between rounds. In between rounds. Yes, there was even a part where Chavez Sr. got so upset that in between rounds, he goes up to talk to Chavez Jr. And the California commissioner people were like, no, he can't be here.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I guess it's because he's not part of Chavez official team. So they kick him out. And to me it's just like you could see the angst and the like, bro, I don't care what they're paying you. Some things are worth more than money. And he kind of, you could see that Chavez Sr. is like, low-key like, don't pay attention to the contract. You can literally like end this guy. He just wanted to like do something and be proud of his son. But that was not happening.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Not when you're fighting a YouTuber. Wow. I hate that though. I know. I just start off as that. He is not an athlete. I do put that he's put the work in. It's just like I wouldn't even want it.
Starting point is 00:04:59 If I'm Paul, I wouldn't even want these wins like this. Yeah. Because if you're giving me these wins, do I really, did I really earn it? Am I should I really be in the sport? And then you're going to come across a fighter that's not going to care about the contract or that won't fight. Like, you can only fight so many of these fighters that are down that need the money that are retired, that could use the look, all of that. You're only going to find so many if you actually want to consider yourself the goal that somebody's going to be like, no, we're not going to take you serious. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:25 It looks like a boxing reenactment, honestly, like as it's happening. And I'm just like, I'm watching a little bit of the fight and I'm like, wait, why isn't Chavez swinging? Like, I'm just like, what is going on? Because he wasn't allowed to, or reportedly allegedly, where we're theorizing. Insane. And then, I guess, Travis, Travis, Jr., for all that he represents,
Starting point is 00:05:46 especially at this time, remember I told you, I'm like, I don't know about these walkouts. I'm going to, like, do you guys think he's going to come out with with so Pluma? Jake Paul, do you guys sing it? No, I think he'll be on the opposite end. I think he's going to make a mockery of us. Yeah. What was it like being there?
Starting point is 00:05:59 I love this song. Great song. But it just makes me, like, like have a bad taste now seeing like this dude like Vic said like this YouTuber dressed up like in a rough look like a like a like ruffly little ruffly little ruffly little feather like you look like it was wearing a not feather like a tablecloth yeah it was cool Mexican colors and then coming out it is cool but not when used in the wrong way it's all about intention brother yeah when you're coming out you're like ha ha and then when the when you end up getting booty
Starting point is 00:06:31 I love it when you guys booed like it just you could tell it's not for like an embrace and it's more on an F you, I'm about to take, this was bread. Yeah, I was hoping it was for Italy. Oh, my. The colors that he had. No. Just very unfortunate for actual fans of boxing.
Starting point is 00:06:49 And it seems like the new wave, at least if Jake Paul has his way. Because he is getting these big fights. They're getting attraction. They're getting deals to be streamed and all of this. It doesn't look, it doesn't seem like we're looking away unless someone just really is like not, like,
Starting point is 00:07:05 Boxes got to come together and be like, no, we're not doing this. Yeah. We can't do this anymore. I think it's time. But I don't think it'll happen. It's time. Because these past couple years, you're seeing people have fights in the middle of Times Square that don't go too great. You know?
Starting point is 00:07:20 Go to other countries, not necessarily like a Mexico or, but like very, very far away where like Turkey, she's just like, hey, you're going to fight here. Yeah. In between pyramids. And then they're like, all right, we'll do it. but it just, it takes, there's so much being taken from it. Because they see that people do love it. There's nothing more, like, I guess, primitively entertaining and I think it goes back in time,
Starting point is 00:07:43 than watching two men fight. That's been, like, hey, entertainment, go fight each other, right? True. But it's now being taken into a way that it just seems so unfortunate for fans, and I just feel sad. I mean, there's an entertainment factor, though. You know what I'm saying? Like, you guys.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I was an entertainment. I was so upset. I mean, I knew it, too. And there's people in the crowd look, he just as trolley as, what's his face was. Yeah, just trolling. It's definitely attracting a different crowd of people. Yeah. Which is like the internet, the crowd reaction, the trolls.
Starting point is 00:08:12 So people are turning that into that space into the internet space. Not from Duman. That's what happened. All right, check this out. Two great fighters, Mani Pachial and Mario Barrios, they are going to fight each other. Okay, it's taking, it's going down in Las Vegas, July 19th. Scrolling with the homies. Gregory.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Gregory. Leti. This white boy by the name of Nervi is going viral because of one of his raps that has everybody kind of 50-50 how they feel about it. Okay. He decided he's going to make a Latina anthem. Okay. I want to see if you guys approve of it, though, because I, like, low-key thinks it's fire. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:49 But the comment section is like, eh, we don't know about this one. Yeah, listen to this. You're into Spanish or Latina girls. Listen to the song. Yeah. I got Latina speaking different languages. Maybe it's Spanish. Got me a love of the girl
Starting point is 00:09:04 She Honduras She is Spanish Yeah I thought her Ola Como stars Baby and she don't Ask how my day went I said it was pretty
Starting point is 00:09:11 giving me a more But she don't I know what I'm saying Oh my gosh How old is he? Yeah About like 12 Oh my man
Starting point is 00:09:20 Yo It's like He's like He's making them bilingual He's not bilingual It's not bilingual Tri-lingual No he's gonna
Starting point is 00:09:28 He's gonna teach them Different languages He said Ola, how'stas? Ola, how'stas? Hello, good. So they got to learn more than just Spanish. Yeah, we know English, too.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Him. He's teaching them. He's teaching Latinas more than one language. Even though they know more than one language. They're really teaching him. But it's okay. I'm going to play it one more time. I personally like it.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Why? Let's listen. Just listen to his bars. You're into Spanish or Latina girls. Listen to the song. Yeah. I got Latina speaking different languages. Maybe it's Spanish.
Starting point is 00:09:59 That got me a love. The girl, she Hondorn, she is Hispanic. Yeah, I told her all la Como stars, and she don't ask how my day went. I said it was pretty giving me a more, but she don't know what I'm saying. She's Hondorn or she Hispanic? Who do you think it was?
Starting point is 00:10:15 Which Latina, Batty caught his eye, and he made a song for her. That young, it's like that. He found his Pamela Anderson. Jen Ortega. Oh, yeah. No, she had to be Honduran, bro. I think he just made it up. But it's like which one just
Starting point is 00:10:32 caught his eye and he's like no, that's it. I would have to say Becky G. Maybe Becky G. I don't know if Becky you would have caught his radar like that. I get like Wednesday. I get Wednesday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:43 For sure. Netflix, like all these, you know, shows that kids are watching. I feel like probably that. Right. Yeah. He saw the one that Sophia Regards. Modern family?
Starting point is 00:10:52 No, no, no, no, no. The one on Netflix. Which one? She's a narco. Oh, we said that. Oh, we saw that? Yeah. I doubt it.
Starting point is 00:11:00 He's maybe a sponge. But you know, you get that girl that, like, makes you just have heart eyes as a kid. Yeah. And you daydream about her. Actually, yeah, I'm jealous of this kid. I wish I could go back in time and discover Latinas for the first time. For the first time. It was like discovery.
Starting point is 00:11:18 He's a song about it. It's because he's a white kid, so he didn't have them, like, around his entire life, right? Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Yeah. I need more of his story. Like, did he move from, like, the, Midwest of California. He's still in the Midwest.
Starting point is 00:11:32 It's his computer screen. This is whatever landed in his computer screen. I was thinking that too, Vic. I remember the first time I found her in the Latina. I was like, I would never forget her in my life. When Greg went to Downey once? From Whittier? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:49 No, it was in middle school. I can't remember her name. You said you'll never forget her, bro. I can't remember her name. Peak man. Was she Honduran? No, she was, she was Latina, Latina. Like Hondurians are Latina.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Like Latina, like Junon, you like like stuff like that. Like you'll never forget that Latina in your life. Okay, question. The people are going in on him in the comments. Yeah. But then the Latina girls in the comments are like, we love this. But then the dudes are like, ooh, this is weird. Oh, so the guys are Haiti.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Yeah. Okay. My boy's from Missouri. Yeah. Missouri. He's still from there. He's still from there. Stumbled upon a category.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Saw a show. Jen Ortega could have been it. Yeah. I wouldn't put it past Jen Ortega. What's the girl? Are you for your girl? Oh, Alexa. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Oh. That Yankee video. Yeah. She changed my life. No, she did it. No, she did it. No, she's really new. At one point.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Yeah. I went back, though. What did she change? Yeah. You got to give it to him. He fell in love and he made a song about it. Yeah, I like it. That's his Honduring girl.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah, I'm jealous of bro. Like I said. Everybody else is. All the dudes that are hating in the comments are jealous, too. They would think to go back in time and discover a Latino for the first time. Yes. Yes. Greatest of all time.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Thanks, Gregory. Are you okay? I woke up with like a runny nose. Oh, really? Yeah. I kept sweaty yesterday when I was like laying there. I don't know why. Laying where?
Starting point is 00:13:15 Yeah. In my bed. Like I'll try to take a nap and I'll wake up all sweaty. And I was like, it's not that hot outside. It's weird. One of these T.J pills, bro? They just have them right in. If they make me like less congested.
Starting point is 00:13:26 I see I sound congested. Congestic. You do. No side effects. More than usual. Yeah. That's why I want to try some strips or something. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Do your job. What are the shoutouts? We have birthday shout-outs. Birthday shout-outs. Leslie wants to shout out her brother. It's his 30th birthday. By the way, do you see how you're sick and you're not calling out-sick? Yeah, because I'm not.
Starting point is 00:13:45 That's how we know when you call out. You're not really sick. No, you're on a seek one. Nice. What are the shout-outs? Sebastian wants to give a birthday shout-out to his little sister, Stephanie, from Dallas. It's her 21st. birthday.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Come on. 21. 21. And he also wants to say a happy belated birthday to his oldest brother, Hector. He says, fun fact. He used to have three Honda Civics at one point. Wow. With Poon engines?
Starting point is 00:14:08 Probably. I hope so. Oh, because his name is Hector. That's cool. Wow. That's super tough. Live it forever. And Jesse wants to give his son, JJ, a birthday shout out.
Starting point is 00:14:17 His mom and dad love you. He said he's turning two. They said he's turning two. Come on, my little two-year-old. We're saying right now, but happy birthday to you. Google, Gaga. Google, Google. Yeah, I want to shout out Will and his family.
Starting point is 00:14:31 They're actually from Bakersfield, but I met them in Mission Viejo. Oh, nice. Yeah, it was really cool. So it was at the tournament, no? Yeah, I went to a soccer tournament out there, but this was after the tournament in the hotel. I was poolside, and then I was walking by him, and he's like, you're a part 106. That's so good. I was like, that's crazy all the way over there.
Starting point is 00:14:50 He was in Bakersfield, so. But to be fair, you were wearing that Power 106 Speedo. That probably gave you away I just wanted to see what you pool sight is like What? And the power 106 speedo Love it Yeah
Starting point is 00:15:04 Just a little feet in the water I feel like a little margarito With the umbrella in Bakersfield No mission Viejo Hey heard Emmie's bawling it up Emmy's balling it up Yeah She had a great tournament
Starting point is 00:15:15 Five goals Wow what? Five? That's amazing bro How did she? How did she? She's 12 Yeah
Starting point is 00:15:22 Also shout out her team All the girls From the OLEA soccer team They all played amazing. Does she have like a soccer player she looks up to? Is it like Mia Hamm or somebody? She really likes Alyssa Thompson. Is that a current player now?
Starting point is 00:15:34 Yeah, she plays for Angel City. Oh, that's so nice. Yeah. She's actually from, I believe she's from the Valley too. Wow. Have you asked her, Rinaldo or Messi? No? No, I haven't asked her.
Starting point is 00:15:45 And happy belated to the homie, Anthony. Anthony is our homie from Golden Boy that clearly knew something was up during the fight, but didn't want to tell me. It's my dad. Really? I have turning around like Anthony, is this real? He's like,
Starting point is 00:15:57 I'm going to be back He was putting out fires too because then Ryan Garcia was tweeting Oh yeah Bro, it was such a crazy time But I'm like this is This is the entertainment part of it Yeah
Starting point is 00:16:11 The show people What's going on? What's going on? What's going on? All right, but happy birthday to you, bro You make all of our dreams come true You do Anthony, thank you Sweaty men fight each other right?
Starting point is 00:16:23 Yeah My little tender guy over there. Shut out of Anthony, man. It's an amazing dude. My dad. He's your dad? No, he's not. He adopted me.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Simp or Pimp. B-I-M-C-Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip. Yo, it's Mux-Machim-M-Las. Like we do every day at 7 a.m. It's time for another nominee. And today, we have singer-songwriter Rita Oura. So Rita Ora went on an interview, and she was talking about how she was the one to actually proposed to her man.
Starting point is 00:16:55 So ladies, take notes on how she did it. I asked him to marry me. So how did you do it? Did you do it like a proposal? Yeah. Oh, God, the rings made. Rented out like a hotel room in Palm Springs or something. Like a really nice fancy one.
Starting point is 00:17:09 Filled it up with balloons. A heart-shaped balloons. And a heart-shaped. Wait. Okay. Because I'm basically doing what I would have wanted from my... Oh, gosh. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:20 She did everything she wanted. How would I like to be proposed to? And she set it up. And did he say yes? I'm hoping he had hoped so. She continued talking about it and listen. And he walks into the room and he's like, what the hell is a Valentine's Day? I'm like, no.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Anyway, get down on one name. He was just like, what is happening? And I was like, oh no. But I just wanted to like lock him down. And I did. And he said absolutely what the hell get up. And I was like, oh my God. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Wow. She set it up. Yeah. Did everything she ever wanted it for herself? but she did it for him and got down on one knee and guess what? He said yes. Ladies. So she did get her free proposal.
Starting point is 00:18:01 She did her, but she was the one proposing. Proposing. I know. Yeah. Wasn't she with Rob Kardashian at one point? Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:09 She was with him. But she obviously didn't love him enough to propose. To propose. Yeah. She's a real go-getter. She knew what she wanted and she got it. Yeah. That's respect.
Starting point is 00:18:19 All right. Your girl proposes to you. Do you feel a little bit different? Like, do you, like, this? Or do you feel like you have to then propose to her? Yeah, now I got a one-up her in proposal. Yeah. Because now I feel like I'm down in the score.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Because almost doesn't make you feel, like if she's doing the proposing, hell yeah, girl, get it. Like, get out you on it. What does that say about you? It's a little emasculating. Yes. Is it? Yeah. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:44 Yeah. Yeah. It's like, you couldn't do it. So I went ahead and did it. It's like when you forget to take out the trash. And then like. And then like, she's out there holding like back to her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Taking out the big bin? You'll never feel like less of a man. You're like, damn, I got like a couple jobs around here and she's doing one of them. Like, damn. Y'all crazy. I would be on Instagram showing off saying, I said yes.
Starting point is 00:19:02 No way. With my flowers and my rehab. I don't think you would. I would. Greg would. I would. 100%. When I see, like, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:19:10 because when I see my girl taking out the trash two bags, I just slap her in the butt. See? And then she goes through the little way. Yeah, but that's where Vick. I totally get where Vicks coming from. No, I kind of agree. girl were to be, like you were to come home and your girl
Starting point is 00:19:23 were to be proposing to you? What does that do to you? I would be shocked and I honestly would be like, whoa like it should be me. I definitely am more like traditional. Nah. I'm like yo, don't know. Maximo. Hey, it's a little too soon. 13 years. It's only been 13 years.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Get up. But that's what. You take too long. She's like, you know what? I'm going to do my damn self. Yeah. That's terrifying. Maximo, that can happen to you any day. You can literally go home and that could happen to you at any given I don't know what I'm feeling excited.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Yes. It makes you happy. You're right about the tender. I told you he's very tempting. Why? What? I'm excited. Why are you going to be like, oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Do you start crying? Do you give you your hand out? I'll put my hand down. I'll put my hand out. And I'm going to do that photo where you're looking at your nails. Oh, you have them trimmed out. Yeah. No, I know someone that proposed to her man and didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:20:20 And I was like, I could see. Like you kind of felt like you had to do everything, right? That one would assume like, all right, we know where this is going. And granted, like, gender rules or generals, but there's some things that are like, yeah, it should be that. 100%. Did you feel it didn't work in that moment or down the line? No, I really wanted her to him. I really liked him.
Starting point is 00:20:40 But then she didn't. She didn't like him. Yeah, she didn't like it. Okay, okay. Yeah. All right. Angie, would you propose to your man? She went with someone more manlier, the personality.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Wow. Yeah. Oh, that's. That hurt for the guy. Yeah. What does it even mean? The dude she proposed to, just the guy she got with ended up being more manlier. I get it.
Starting point is 00:21:01 More. So the guy that she proposed to. Yeah, more ombre. Yeah. The guy she proposed to initially was like a baddie man. Not even a bad. It was just her man for a long time. Oh, comfort.
Starting point is 00:21:11 But I guess that's what it would be. Like, wouldn't it be like something you take a hold of like I'm going to make this person my girl? Or is it like, I'm the prize? No. Are you the prize? I know. I mean, I am the prize, but I'm not. It's going to be me.
Starting point is 00:21:25 I already get it where some guys don't even want to bend down. Like who you mean? When he proposed to his girl, he just like handed her the ring and I get it like, oh, I'm not getting out of it. I'm not going to crease my shoes. But there would be some notion. And if that's the girl I love, I don't mind doing this for her. Maybe for any other random, I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:21:43 For the world, y'all don't deserve me like this. But this woman, she does. I mean, I hate creasing my shoes, you know, probably more than anybody. But if you're already spending thousands of dollars on an engagement ring, I mean, what's another $150 on some shoes? You know what I'm saying? So. It's true. Yeah. Is this super pimp that Rita Orra proposed to her man, the way she wanted to?
Starting point is 00:22:04 Also, it's like, why don't you do it the way he, like stuff he likes? Yeah, that's about her. Because she got it for herself. She has no patience. It's just a weird. Yeah. I was about to do that. Damn, girl.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Damn. Y'all was doing stuff. Yeah, I think that's where it gets, like, tricky. because it was like what she dreamed of. So in the sense it's like, oh, that kind of sucks. She made it happen. She made it happen. She didn't make it happen.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Yeah. And they're together. And she got the pull she wanted. Yeah. I don't know. I think it's Pam. It feels so weird. I think it's still sin.
Starting point is 00:22:34 That's funny. Dequal. Rita. Also, I'm still shocked that she's British. I didn't know that. You didn't know she? No. I'm more shocked at that part.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Shocking, isn't it? But no, I really think that's Sam because she should be the one getting the ring. She should be the one posting. that picture of her and the nails and all that stuff. Did she even get that? Does she even get an engagement? Oh, that's true. You're too little for posing.
Starting point is 00:22:56 You don't get that ring to pose. You don't get the ring until the wedding, right? Until the wedding. Wait, in this video, does she even have a ring or anything? Rita! Whoa, that kind of changes it. That's a king. That is a king.
Starting point is 00:23:10 He knows his words. Well, I don't think even he would get his wedding band. What does he get? Wedding bands are actually for the wedding. They completely are ruling tradition. I hope you did. See, now I'm confusion. You don't give the wedding band.
Starting point is 00:23:24 The wedding band is the second one. You don't give the wedding band until the ceremony. You get the engagement ring. That's usually... So he has the engagement ring? There's two rings, brother. What? Yeah, I just found that out too.
Starting point is 00:23:34 It just hit me why Rita has no patience. Rita, because her name backwards is Orita. She has no patience. I was like, isn't it aorta? It's okay. I like it. Yeah, yeah. And now the weather

Starting point is 00:24:34 Really? Yeah. Fun fact. There's no lake. That's a great fact. Thank you. But there is a Tuluca. Just not a lake.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Fun fact, speaking of Selena Gomez, I think she used to live in Toulika Lake. Wow. When do we speak about her? I delivered a pizza one time. What? Last week. Yeah. Somebody order pizza.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Korea Town. You know. Hold on. Oh, yeah. You delivered pizza to Selena Gomez into Lucca Lake? Yeah. I didn't even work for a pizzeria, though. You know what I mean?

Yeah, foodies, the area boasts of wide array of Korean restaurants from traditional barbecue to trendy dessert cafes and also features a culinary influences from other cultures. Starting point is 00:26:24 Okay, okay, okay. Hey, man, you can catch this tomorrow on Tuesday. 715. We're always here, but it goes with your weather. Your boy, Cockney, for Batman mornings, our power 106. My little cheeky baby over there. All right, keep it here. We got the homie hop line on the way.
Starting point is 00:26:37 All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for. The homie helpline. Karen needs our help.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Karen. Karen sent us a DM and said, Hey, Brownback, I need your help. So last week, me and my boyfriend, four months, broke up. All right. Last week. Last week, yep.
Starting point is 00:27:03 She said, due to him being tired of their relationship, we've been having small fights here and there, and we both signed up for the same class next semester. Owe. She said, we live two hours away, and the breakup started with him missing the train and complaining that he was going to get home late from attending my family event.
Starting point is 00:27:24 He just hated her. Yeah, he did. Hold on, he was going to get home late. He was going to be with her? Yeah. So he's a terrible. So he's fault. He wouldn't let me go.
Starting point is 00:27:35 He kept talking me about the 80s. Okay, so then he said, but I've been traveling two hours to see him and waking up early and never complained. He would always. always blame me in every situation. I feel like I couldn't say or do anything without him getting mad at me or blaming me. He didn't even clarify the breakup.
Starting point is 00:27:55 He just said, I don't think we should keep doing this. And then for our four-month anniversary, he bailed on me and said he had no clothes. Freaky. Okay. And just texted me, happy four months, Amor. Oh, my God. This is not Huberto. Amort, you're right.
Starting point is 00:28:15 my amor, no I'm not Ropa, my amor. I'm encuerrago, my amor. Ew.
Starting point is 00:28:23 I guess like I don't have close to go out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:28 What should I do next semester when I need to see him again after this breakup? Oh, so they're a little. She said, I can't just drop the class
Starting point is 00:28:37 since I need it to graduate early. Help me out, Brown Bag. All right. College. Y'all have been, no,
Starting point is 00:28:44 no, no, no, no, more like a Greg and Vic thing? Yeah. Y'all have dated girls for months. Like there's been times where like you'd be in... Three months for a month.
Starting point is 00:28:52 What's the weirdest excuse you gave to like not be with her anymore? Or does the girl always just break up with you? No. It was always me breaking up with them. I was like one time like this girl I didn't really like. I don't know why. I just wasn't like that into her anymore. And then I was like, well, one time you interrupted me when I was talking about my son.
Starting point is 00:29:09 That's disrespectful. No, Vic. You said that? I like that. I felt that way though. But also I was. I was just tired of her. Yeah, that's what he's used to get rid of her.
Starting point is 00:29:18 But it was true. Well, it was like the, of course, it has to be something. Yeah. It was true, but if it's somebody you cared about, you'd work it out. And then this person, you didn't. So you said, no, thank you. I guess what was the timeframe of that? How long were you with her?
Starting point is 00:29:31 Like three months. It's usually around expiration date for my trial period. It's for you to know, like, do I want to stay or not? Yeah. Greg? The reason I stopped talking to a girl is because I asked her to, like, scratch my arm. And she had this, like, nasty. she looked on her face and was like, no.
Starting point is 00:29:48 So I was like, we're done. All right, you're gone. Like, you're gone. I like physical touch. You're out of here. Yeah, like, I like physical touch. Like, you're scratching my arm while I drive.
Starting point is 00:29:56 It's cute, right? How was it? Were you driving? Yeah, I was driving to our house. Okay. So I was like, oh, I'm so itchy. Can you scratch my arm? She was like, sir, you didn't pay for that.
Starting point is 00:30:07 And I was like, uh. That's extra. That's not part of the service. Get out of my car. In the second she said, no. I was like, yep. And you're done. If I touch you now, the timer starts.
Starting point is 00:30:19 How do you know there's a timer? That's crazy. Free Greg. What, 30 minutes? So what she may be experiencing is a relationship similar to what like Vic or Greg has been in where it's a trial. You know, and they're going to give you their all. Like he's calling her amor because they're really trying to see like, is this for me? Is this not?
Starting point is 00:30:44 And then it wasn't. Yeah. So she's kind of dealing with that type of a person. I personally think he's crashing out because, like, she has a car so she gets to him whenever. She has to take the train. Like, I think, like, since she's, like, more in her, like, and she does things on her own. A guy being intimidated of a woman. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Like, yeah. No, yeah, independent. A guy being, like, he's insecure about it. So then he'll crash out and not want to be with her. He blamed her for him being late. He said, you just because I had to go see your family. Look at what I have. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:14 And I had to take the train. She says any fight they are in. It's always her fault. She's the bad guy. Oh, yeah, he sounds like too here. They do always say, like, a long-distance relationship is one of the hardest things to, like, keep up with and maintain. Because I think when they said long-distance, they meant, like, from one state in another state. Two hours is.
Starting point is 00:31:31 So, long-distance is the driver, the traffic time. But the fact that you can even get to someone in that traffic or in the drive is, I guess long-distance actually means, like a distance. Like, yeah, yeah. Like distance, like, like a measurement. Two-hour. Not time. Two hours is long distance. Maximumonti's long distance is going to Riverside.
Starting point is 00:31:51 That is, yeah. That is. From the valley? It will never work. From the valley, yeah, that is pretty long. I used to have to take the 405 from, like, Pico in L.A. to, like, Mission Hills area. That was two hours, but it wasn't far. Long distance.
Starting point is 00:32:03 No, it just took a long time because of traffic. Yeah. Well, what I think with this guy, if I could psychoanalyze him, he's probably unhappy with where he's at currently. And he feels like this is an unneeded destruction. Like the girlfriend, right? It's like things are like, it's interfering with like him getting home on time and, you know, all these things. And it's like, it's all your fault. It's not really her fault.
Starting point is 00:32:24 It's his choice to be in this relationship. But he probably feels the longer that he carries this on, the more it's going to kind of hold him back or distract them from what he wants to do. But it's less about her and it's more about like, I guess his ability to carry those things. And balance. Balance. Yeah. Balance. So they're going to school together.
Starting point is 00:32:41 I'm assuming it's college. Yeah. And they have a class that's coming up. You know, they just. just broke up a week ago. And we're going to talk to her. Yes. Karen.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Karen. Karen. Hi. Hi, Karen. Hi, Karen. Hi, Karen. Karen, how old are you? How old are you, honey, buddy?
Starting point is 00:32:55 I am 20. You're 20 years old. It's been a week since you guys have broken up. How is your heart? I feel a lot better for the support and everything because everyone didn't like him. Oh. Okay. They were like, oh, I'm so glad you got rid of him.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Um, yes. What didn't they like about him? What didn't people that cared about you like not like about him? About how like he responded to me and like try to gaslight me in some of the situations. And I just overlooked that because I'm like, no, guys, maybe he's like stress or like, you know, it might be something. Because he's older than me. So I was like. How much older?
Starting point is 00:33:39 He's three years. Oh, 23. Okay. So he's 23. Okay. Did you, do you guys meet in school? It started with like him follow me and Instagram. And then we found out we went to the same school.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Oh, okay. Okay. All right. So you guys decided to get a class together, right? When you were signing up for classes, you're like, hey, let's take this class together? I decided to take that class and he just followed me. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Okay. I've done that. Okay. And so now you know. Now, you know, I'm about to see, yes, we broke up. I'm probably going to go through my single girl summer. Try to get, right, as you should, as you should feel. Feel great.
Starting point is 00:34:25 But then come September-ish, when you start school, you're going to see him. Yeah, a two-hour class. Oh, it's a long class. And it's daily? No. It's every Tuesday. Every Tuesday. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Once a week. That's not too bad. That's not too bad. Okay. It is too bad when it's too. two hours with someone that left you and didn't say why and gaslit you the whole the whole relationship. That sounds awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:54 When he broke up with you, did that almost make you feel like, did you cry? Were you sad? Because you must have liked him. Like only for two days because then I was like, oh, like I shouldn't be crying because what happens if he's with another girl by now. He's with another girl already? No, she's like what happens? Like here I am crying and maybe he's with somebody else.
Starting point is 00:35:17 With some new clothes on. With some clothes. Yeah, he got clothes now. Yeah, these excuses that he used to give you a pretty wild baby girl, Karen. That he didn't have clothes. That's why he couldn't go hang out with you. Yeah, he's like, he was like, oh, I didn't do laundry because in the morning it was raining. I was like, oh, and we have plans that I told him two weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Oh, I'm sorry, he hates you. Yeah, he hates you. No, no offense. Okay, thank you. Oh, see? I said no offense. I said no offense. That don't make him no offense.
Starting point is 00:35:50 You can say anything when you say no offense. Kind of, yeah. Nwell hurts her. Karen, did you ever feel like he felt that like maybe you were too independent or like there's something in that sense where he kind of like he almost felt, I guess, less of a man? He didn't give me like that sense like in any of the moment because I gave him like I think the second month to third month I gave him out. I was like, if you're not happy, you'd leave, like, I'm good. And then he said he was happy that he loved me, da-da-da-da. He really met my parents and everything.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Wow. Yeah, and then that day, he came to my family event. He met, like, more, like, family. And then he hated you for it. He's like, see, we're going to your stupid family event. Oh, your stupid family. Dumb dad. No, but we do have two.
Starting point is 00:36:48 separate lifestyle. That's what I do see from us. I'm more connected to my family. What does he do for work? Um, he's a target employee. Nice. Okay. That's a great job. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you can't go there again. Karen's boyfriend hates her. No offense. Ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend. Yeah. No offense. You didn't hate the girls you dumped. No, I didn't. No, I didn't. Yeah, you just get, it's hard to explain. It's like, you, they start to annoy you for no reason. of their own, right? Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:20 It's kind of like you're just kind of frustrated a little bit with yourself and that's a person you, in a way, kind of put the blame on. You were the problem? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Really? But they shouldn't have been annoying. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:37:32 You start finding things of them that annoy you. Oh, yeah. Like unnecessary things. This girl would call me every day on her break for 10 minutes to talk about nothing. Every day. I was busy. I do that. No, but no, but you know what's funny is that you realize when you do like a girl, when a girl
Starting point is 00:37:48 does that like you want that you want it yeah like now like my girl calls me during her 10 minute break and I'm like so what he's doing like you know what I'm like I'm like doesn't bother me at all I could be in the middle of something super important I'll be like okay all right cool that's good sip okay okay okay okay okay you hang up no you hang up no you hang up yeah Jordan we need help America on burger, hurry out, Jordan. Somebody to smash the burgers, Jordan. Literally. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Don't get her in trouble at work, bro. I would. All right, back to Karen. Back to Karen. Okay. So Karen, she was with her boyfriend for about four months. And then they started having like small fights here and there. They actually go to school together.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Yeah. And they signed up for a class together this upcoming semester. Nice. They broke up last week and now she's wondering what to do because she has to take this class. She has to see this full. Yeah. She has to see them every Tuesday. for two hours
Starting point is 00:38:41 in the same class this got out of gaslighting that's just sit in a room for two hours and see him and little did we know Maximo actually used the same play that he did to get his girl
Starting point is 00:38:53 okay so we're asking baby girl Karen hi Karen how are you good morning baby girl when is the us Karen hi just say hi good morning good morning we're asking Karen how she met him and she said you know I hit him or he hit me up on Instagram then we find out
Starting point is 00:39:07 that we're in the same college together Karen, I am willing to bet that he already knew y'all were in the same college. Yeah. But he was just like, yes, yes, Karen. He's for sure if I peeped you and looked for you and it's like, oh my God, what do you know? We're in the same college. Oh, what did you look at that? Target initiated.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Yeah. Coming from a guy, Maximo, you say when you're trying to holler at your girl, you took classes just to be around her. Yeah, when we were in like the talking stages, I would like take the classes with her. And then I even use the, I'm a tutor play. What? And that would go to our house of tutor. That's weird. Premeditated.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Hey, you say, Karen, you say that he's older than you by three years. Should he have been more ahead in school? Like, what class are you guys taking together? It's because I'm going to graduate a year early. He took a gap year. Okay. So I think he's going to graduate the same time I am. But last time we spoke, I think he was going to drop out.
Starting point is 00:40:08 because, like, he has to pay out of pocket or he's going to, like, graduate a year later than me. Oh, he's going to take another gap. He's behind. Yeah, because it's art. It's art class I have to take for my lectures. Oh, it's art class. Okay. Nice.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Why don't you tell him to drop out like he thought he was going to do it? I motivated him. I'm motivated him. You were what helped. So you guys got together and he was like, yeah, I'm going to drop out. I don't have money, blah, blah, blah. And you're like, no, come on, you can do it. Which gets.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Yeah. Which get how the men are saying in the room that Something about him maybe not doesn't feel his best and you kind of are a reminder of that The fact that you even have to motivate him to do it is just like that's gonna be a lot of stress On you a lot of work on you to get somebody else to be motivated, you know? No, yeah All right, mamacita Wow, that's messed up now I'm thinking about it like damn Cairns is like encouraging him and yeah and he's blaming her
Starting point is 00:41:03 Because he doesn't want to do it Yeah, he doesn't want to do it yeah he doesn't want to do it He's taking a class that he doesn't want to take. He's like, stop being my mom. Gap year and this economy is crazy. Yeah. Yeah, none of those are allowed to take gaps. Anyway, but Karen, you're not thinking, all right, if I'm in this art class with him, how is it going to play out?
Starting point is 00:41:22 Do I talk to him? Do I ignore him? Do I pretend he doesn't exist? Do I drop the class? Is this kind of where you're at in your life right now? Yeah. Everyone's telling me that, like, oh, like, he's going to realize what he lost. You just got to go confidence.
Starting point is 00:41:40 But it's like, for me, I felt like I felt more in love with him that he was with me in the type of way. You're so cute and you're 20 years old. Yeah. Yeah. And it's only four months. He don't deserve you, girl. One day it's going to flip from guys breaking your heart to you breaking theirs, okay? This is a good story.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Just don't worry about that. Let's help her out. What should she do? She didn't even answer should I drop the class right now. She's not going to drop it. You know what she should do? She should make passive, aggressive art. Art.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Toward him? Yeah, towards him. Yeah. This is what four months looks like and it's just like, it gets ripples. Okay. Let's go to Lupita. Lupita.
Starting point is 00:42:25 What's our, Lupita? Hi, Lupita. Good morning. Good morning, baby girl. How are you this morning? I'm doing good on my way to work. Nice. I'm at work.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Lupita, talk to us. What would you tell Karen? All right. So Karen, hear me out. My advice is to continue going to school no matter what. I don't want a trauma dump, but my mom stopped going to school because my dad discouraged her, and she just had one last class left to get her master's degree. Masters?
Starting point is 00:42:55 Yes, to get her master's. And when she finally decided to go back to school, she found out she was pregnant with me. So she just decided not to go back. Wow. So at first it was a diamond than you. Yeah, Blimeby Dad. Yeah, I'm going to me. No, no.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Aye, Lupe. Question. Can she still go back and get, like, that class and get her master's? You know what? She's been thinking about it, but she's like, I don't know, she's tired. You know, she's closer to retiring than when she started. Right. So I'm like, I'm trying to encourage you to go back to school.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Right. And, like, who knows? I'm pretty sure she'll go back. Yeah, that's cool. She's really resilient, so I think she can. Shout out your mom. But you're saying, like, don't. Don't base, I guess, your life decisions or school decisions off a dude.
Starting point is 00:43:42 And she's 20. You could hear from Karen's voice. It's getting to her. Mm-hmm. Exactly. But yeah, like you were saying, the point is don't stop doing something you want or what's something you need to do over a foolish guy. And for all you know, he might drop the class because he doesn't seem to commit it to me.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Yeah. That's right. Or, you know, sometimes you fools, this is what's so annoying about you feels. You break up with the girls. But then you like being around it because you know, like, ooh, I can have that if I want. I know you for me. Who said that? All of you guys.
Starting point is 00:44:10 I see your little faces. Sorry that I love them all, that's why. No. Like she was so annoying I broke up with her, but I still want to go around and be around her. Yeah. Why are you guys like that? Because she doesn't know you as often. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I know you as often? Yeah. You're annoying. Okay. Let's go to TP. TP in Norwalk. T.P. Hey, good morning, bad.
Starting point is 00:44:34 Good morning, T.P. T.P. What's up? That's a funny name. I just want to know about it. What's a TP for? So excited, it's crazy. So excited because my best friend at the time had a son,
Starting point is 00:44:48 and he couldn't say my name. And so everyone calls me Trees. But he couldn't say that. And so my first name and my last name starts with a T. Okay. So it's just T-T. All T-T. Oh, T-T.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Yeah. All right, but what's your real name? La Trees. Let T-T. Let's treat. Beautiful. Beautiful. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Let's talk to me, T.T. So we're talking to our baby girl, Karen. Karen is 20 years old. Just dating a dude, 23 years old. They somehow met each other on Instagram and then figured out they go to the same college together. They started saying like, hey, she got a class, an art class. He followed her. Doesn't seem to be so encouraged.
Starting point is 00:45:26 He also is very anti-anything about her. He didn't like meeting her family. He doesn't like how long it takes to get to her. They celebrated their four-month anniversary and this fool was like, Hey, I didn't do laundry, so I'm not going to go out. But happy anniversary to you. Maybe he was a little bit broken, was trying to be like, hey, I can't spend money like that. You know, maybe just showing like, bro, I don't got it like that.
Starting point is 00:45:46 I can't afford you right now. But she feels like, look, it's been a week since we broke up. I'm getting myself together. However, school's about to start and we have a class together. How do I handle that? What would you tell her? So, first of all, this guy sounds like a little boy, and she just needs to leave him where he's at in the past. She's very sweet, sounds like, and she just, she deserves so much better than him.
Starting point is 00:46:11 But as far as the class, she should definitely go to class every day, dress to the tease, look in his bed, ignore him completely. She should get there early the first day so she can determine where she wants to sit at, and then he has to follow suit with where she's at, and she should just live her best life without him. Love your best life. That's great advice. That is great advice. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:37 We never follow it. Okay. Is T.T. is still on the line? Yeah, T.T. Okay. T.T. Should she make passive, aggressive art pieces? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:46:47 No. That just shows like she's still pressed on you. This is the knife. And yes, she's dressing up to the nines for you, but not to tell you. But don't be publicly about him. Okay. All right. This made me think, though, as we're talking about the different things.
Starting point is 00:47:03 things about him. What if he really cares about her? Didn't know how to break up with her, but also couldn't afford, like, he feels, he feels broke. Yeah. Like, all of these things lead to feeling broke. Because on an anniversary, what would someone expect? The flowers. Something really nice, right?
Starting point is 00:47:20 And instead of saying, like, hey, I don't have it like that. Sometimes you're very, like, guys with their finances. Yeah. You guys aren't, like, be Simone, like, I can't go to Bloomingdale's anymore. I got to go to H&M. No, y'all are like, you're quiet about it. You'll give other excuses. I didn't even want to go eat lunch today.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Yeah. I'm not hungry. We just act grumpy and wish that Anchor Blue still exists. True. But you think that could be the issue? Absolutely. I was thinking that I think it really is. But what he needs to do is stop putting so much pressure on himself.
Starting point is 00:47:49 You know what I'm saying? She'll love him how he is anyway. You're 23. She's 20. You can't expect, you know, no boo and all these, like, expensive places or to get her diamond rings or something. It's like, bro, we're in college. Like, just be real about. that like hey you know what i don't really got it this this uh month mi amor but next month will be
Starting point is 00:48:07 better like can we just go hang out do something small how how are you guys if you were dating a girl and it got expensive what do you act like now like you three men in the room what yeah what is that for you you don't outwardly say it right you keep it in the tug because i guess the worst thing to do is to let her know there's money issues right yeah you got you you got to be honest you know what I'm saying and you don't have to you know necessarily show her your bank account and be like this is all I got right now but just be like hey you know what some things came up I got to slow down on the spending you know I hope that's okay with you know what I'm saying and just be honest and if it's not okay with it's not okay with it and you just move on but how often do you guys do that like that's what
Starting point is 00:48:45 that's what you should do yeah you could do that I mean no you could have you done that I've done that I had a big bill come up recently and I was just like hey like you know what I got to chill a little bit. Yeah. That's it. That you just keep it like that short and sweet. You don't know, I only have this much or this and this and this. It's just like, yeah, I just got to chill a little bit. She understands. Yeah. Greg starts saying like, you're ugly. I don't want to hang out with you. Yeah. I eat air for dinner. That's it. Yeah. At the end of the day, I think they're young, so part of of the relationship is like communicating and he needs to learn how to do that. Y'all are old and young communicating. But I was going to say, there's also, there's also
Starting point is 00:49:19 like creative ways of like this situation, for example, like their anniversary. I learned is actually from my cousin. What they did is that they'll do creative things like, hey, this celebration, we're doing like a $20 budget, let's see how much we know each other. So now you're doing these things where it's less
Starting point is 00:49:38 pressure on how much you're spending to make that moment feel great to now you're like, hey, let's see, 20 bucks, what can you do for each other? But that wasn't my question. My question was like, if you don't got it, do you say it or how is it for you all when you're dating someone and it gets expensive?
Starting point is 00:49:54 Yeah, you got to just Get rid of them What has Maximo done Get rid of them I just want her to see This may be what is actually happening Yeah Mom give me a credit card
Starting point is 00:50:06 Oh Hey Karen You think he's broke And that might just be Why he's treating you Yeah I was gonna speak on it Because I understood
Starting point is 00:50:16 His financial problems at times Because like he pays rent And all of that I understood that And he knew that I'm not like an expensive girl. Sometimes we went to small places. And I understood that.
Starting point is 00:50:28 I told him that. And he, we understood to a point because at one time I didn't have everything. Right. But I think now, like financially I'm doing a little better. And like sometimes she would be like, oh, like, I only have like a little bit to my bank account and to my scenes like we can't go. And then I understood that's like sometimes I would pay. Like I would be like, no, let's just go out.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Like, I'll pay for it. Right. That got to him. You got to his. And not because you're bad, but you're helping out, but it definitely got, that's why he couldn't really explain why when he broke up with you, when he was just like, I can't do this anymore. Or when he was like, I don't got no clothes.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Maybe for real, he feels like it's an anniversary. I feel like it would entail something more and I can't do that for you. I think he's feeling sorry for himself. No, he complained about saying that I, he blamed it on me saying, oh, yeah, at first I had a lot of money, but then, And then I, you know, we went out a lot. And then like, and he tried to put the blame on me saying that I'm the reason why he has no money now. But I told him not to do that.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Like I told him like, I was like, you invited me out. And he's like, yeah, yeah. And then he tells. Ew, not taking you out and blaming you for the money spent. Yeah, no, there is. It's definitely a money issue. That's that. And you are going to see him in class.
Starting point is 00:51:49 But I do think that if you, do you care about him? Did you like him besides the money part? Was he cute? I told him that. I even told him, I'm like, with the red out of money, I still like, you know, I love you. I have no problem with that. Like, because, you know, we come from like, we're both like middle class. I'm like, I understand because sometimes I've been through that.
Starting point is 00:52:10 So I'm not going to leave him just because of the money. Look at my girl right there. And remember when I told you guys last week we dated Bums right here, case of boy? It's not necessarily a money thing. It's the mental thing. It's like how you guys act. Yeah. You feel me?
Starting point is 00:52:23 That's why he's been so grumpy and that's why he hated your Tio telling him that story. Girl, hit him up, be like, hey, Brokey, are you going to still keep the class? Do you need help paying for it? Oh. You just got to own up.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Like, if he's trying to make you to be this, like, evil woman, this devil wears Prada. This like, oh my God, it's so hard to keep you. She'd pull up and Prada. First day. Wear a shirt that says I have no clothes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:49 That's art. That is art. Yeah. You're dating a Lafufu girl You are a Labuobu You are the real thing Okay You better own your power
Starting point is 00:52:57 You're 20 years old Go to that dang art class Okay Don't be scared Make a lamp He's broke Like there's nothing I think a lot of times
Starting point is 00:53:07 He'll make you feel bad So you feel bad by yourself What did I do? You did nothing wrong Yeah you didn't Karen You're getting your paper up Mm-hmm Drop a $20 bill in front of him
Starting point is 00:53:17 And then like oh You can keep it Oh He's making you out to be this picture of that. Borezita my little. So your phone. You make more money than me. Karen, are you going to date other people?
Starting point is 00:53:34 Right now I'm not open to any release ship. I think I'm going to take my time to heal because for me to open up to him after my last release, it took a lot. Yeah. Because of what I've been through with my last X. So it's like, I just, like, I think I'm a heal.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I feel like I'm going to enjoy my single hot summer. I think I'm going to take it to myself. Like, I think I'm good with relationships for now. But maybe in the future, I'm going to be open to it again. Okay. When did you turn 21? Greg, relax. April.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Girl bite. Yeah, girl bite. Greg, that's hard. She got to live her life. She's at turning 21 barely. Like, she got to live life. Go to the club. Have a lemonade.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Have a lemonade. Yes. Yeah, because she can't turn up. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She's going to be bored right now. She's turn 21. Then explore. What?
Starting point is 00:54:29 Greg, can explore me. Can't explore DJ Grexie. No. Pull me for a chat. Be in a section and everything. Oh, my little baby girl. Remember being 20 Angie?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Yeah, it sucked. And all the stupid fools that made you feel stupid about yourself, unnecessary. And it was just look at you guys little faces. All mildy, all tender. Good times. It's so fun. Tender with no legal tender. Y'all had literally no bread.
Starting point is 00:54:53 That's true. Making us feel less than. I had an allowance, okay? An allowance. In college? He didn't have an allowance. Look at him. It's called FAFSA. You didn't have FAFSA. Yes, I did. Why? Because I lived it up. What did you put that you got FAFSA? I got FAFSA, but I was a teen mom.
Starting point is 00:55:11 I was broke. My family was broke. Yeah, we were poor. I got FAFSA too. You got FAPA? Yeah. That was living it up. I look at that there's the perks of having the cow. We all got here. We all got FAPS with you.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Yes. This was the first PPP PPL. Yes. Well, I don't know. I needed it. Oh, sorry. What did you all? I used it on my books.
Starting point is 00:55:33 No, I used it on school. Yeah, me you did it. A couple dates. Yeah. I never saw that money. Well, we are playing Palabra. What you call up, pick a teammate. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:55:44 And they have to guess correctly what we're going, like, Part of Universal. We're going to give you a word and you have to help them guess it. I don't know. You guys came up with this on me. All right. Yep. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:55:59 Eddie. Eddie. Go ahead Eddie. Hey, good morning, bro. What's up, Eddie? Eddie, talk to us. What, who are you picking to be your, your fighters? Choose your fighter.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I'm going with Vic. Let's go. A man that likes to win. That's right. All right. TransVic, please step out of the room. And cover your ears. No cheating.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Yeah. All right, brother, check this out. I'm going to give you something related to Universal Studios. If you went to Universal, you've come across it. You know about it. It's a movie in relation to. I'm going to give you that word. And when Vic comes in, you have to describe it to him, okay?
Starting point is 00:56:43 All right, for sure. You get up to three hints. All right? You cannot say that word? You cannot say the actual word itself, all right? So since it's universal and it's been around for a really long time, an iconic movie that it's known for. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:59 And is a part of the actual park is the movie. Psycho. All right. That is your palabra. Psycho. All right. Got it. Hold on lock it in.
Starting point is 00:57:12 It's a good one. All right, brother. We got our guy. Eddie from Ontario. Eddie, Vic is here. Vic say hi. All right. You're up to three hints.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Go. Wait a minute. I didn't even hear the film. No, yes, you did. Yes, you did. I said it twice. And you said, all right, I got it. Eddie, don't let me down, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:57:35 Oh, man, no, I really did not even hear you, Eddie. You said that. What? Yeah. All right. Should I give you a more chance? No. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:57:48 It's my first time getting through. One more chance would be a blessed. But I literally said it twice. Yeah. All right. Big, go outside, go outside. Go outside. And cover yours,
Starting point is 00:57:56 cover years, brother, cover years, cover years, cover years, cover years. That's crazy. All right,
Starting point is 00:57:59 I'm gonna say, only say it one time, bro. I literally told you the movie, Psycho. All right, come back in,
Starting point is 00:58:03 come back in, come back in. Psycho, Psycho. Tanya, come back in. All right, that's it,
Starting point is 00:58:07 bro. That's it. Yeah. All right. All right, Eddie, give Vic, your three hints,
Starting point is 00:58:12 go. That's a crazy person. Uh, yeah, all right. All right. Um, Okay, okay. Another one, please.
Starting point is 00:58:36 And insane in the brain. Insane in the brain. Insane. It's not your fault. It's his fault. I think you got it. He's going to break my streak. No, I think you got it. You got it, bro. You got it. Insane in the brain. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Five. Four, three, two, one. It's right there, bro. It's right there. The Universal Studios. Go. I don't know I don't know I don't know And for the record
Starting point is 00:59:11 We gave this one other chance Yeah He said that he got it Yeah he said What did that even mean It kind of was It makes it Yeah it does
Starting point is 00:59:20 What Cycle Oh my Yeah Insane in the brain You want me to think about Cypress Hill What's your problem
Starting point is 00:59:30 Insane in the brain Eddie be real. Univorously. Eddie, you broke my street. Oh. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:59:37 It's not your fault? No, it's not my fault. It's crazy person. It's psycho. It was kind of good. Crazy person? Tough one. And it's in the brain.
Starting point is 00:59:45 Yeah. No. And you know what made it worse is that he was unsure of everything he was saying? So I was like, uh, where is he going? I told it twice. Yeah. Before you came in the first time and he said, all right, locked in, got it or whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:00 All right. Thanks, Eddie. Okay. Well, let's go to. Luis in El Monte. What's up, Luis? Luis. Luis, how are you this morning? Hello? I'm doing good. I'm doing good.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Did you know the term psycho as it relates to Universal Studios? Not really, but I could have figured, I could have, you know, I could have made it work. Oh, you're. All right. I need you to. Choose your fighter. Who are you going for? Maximo.
Starting point is 01:00:27 That's right. Is there a reason? Is there a reason? Nah, I think he got it. I have trust in him. That's right. Okay. Dubs in the chat.
Starting point is 01:00:38 Come on, Maximo, you got me. Go. Go. All right. Vig. Hold on one second. Vig, how hard do you want to go on this one? Oh.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Oh, look at his face. He's just smiley. Yes. Yeah, I don't want him to win. I'm a player hater. Luis. I can tell. All right, Luis.
Starting point is 01:00:57 Luis, check this out. In Universal Studios, if you ever get on the tram, it takes you down with stereo. Lane. Wisteria Lane. What? No, if you ever go on the tram, it takes you down there like, hey, so this and this was filmed here.
Starting point is 01:01:11 This and this was filmed here. One of the shows that's filmed on Wisteria Lane specifically is called Desperate Housewives. Oh. Okay. That is what you're going to get, Maximo to guess. That's good. Go ahead. And you cannot say desperate and you cannot say housewives.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Come on, Maximo. All right. Luis got you. Yeah. He's right here with you, bro. brother. He's very confident right now. Vic chose the heart level, just FY. Oh, he would be a hater.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Yeah. I am. That's what I said. He said I would play a hater. Luis, you can give up to three hints to Maximo. Please go. Oh, sorry? Okay. So it's two words, two words. The second word to the title is,
Starting point is 01:01:57 moms, moms that are married. And the first word is obsession. That's where I always want something. Hold on. Hold on. What did you say? That's for Housewives. Luis.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Yes. Oh, you did a great job. Hey, you do this, huh? You do this, huh, Luis? You play, like, charades? Hey, I got two teenagers and a baby boy. Let's go. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:29 He's like, second word, first word. Yeah. Yeah, that was good. That's like. Congrats, bro. You win. I wish she would have chose me because that was a lot easier. That wasn't easy.
Starting point is 01:02:39 He did a better job. He did a great job. Yeah, he did a great job. Yeah. He did a great job. Congrats, bro. You got a family four-back to go to Universal Studios, Hollywood. That was great.
Starting point is 01:02:48 And I want you to know the odds were not in his favorite because this full went full hard. All right? Because, of course we could. No, he did choose that. I didn't mean to like that. Why he doesn't have been so weird all the time? It's Greg. Because it could have been like, it's easy to do a ride.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Like, oh, mommy, dress you're like, not. He wanted me to fail. Yeah. Desperate Houseway. The next one was going to be Ted because they filmed Ted there sometime. Or the voice. All right. Look.
Starting point is 01:03:12 Universal Studio. It's going down the Universal Mega Movie Summer. All right. Now through August 10th with new character meet and greets splash-filled attractions and cinematic anniversaries all summer long. More details, Power 106.com. And we got more of these tickets on the way. Yes, we will be doing Palabra this week. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:03:28 If you missed that on playing today, you could play tomorrow. I think Vic deserves redemption. So please hit my guy, Vick. Yes. He deserves it. Choose me and do a good job or else I'll play you. No, no. No, he's insane in the brain.
Starting point is 01:03:39 That's crazy. I should have got it. Yeah. I would have done. E! That would have been my head. It would have been like mother or something, you know, like. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:48 All right. Well, we got Word on Rosecrans on the way. What's going down, bro? That's right. Beyonce was drunk and love this weekend. Oh. But sobered up quick when this happened. And I'll tell you what it was next on Word on Rosecrans.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Get into that. What's the word? Like I'm Rosecrans. Rooscrans. The word is. Beyonce's slab almost slapped her fans in the face. Huh? What?
Starting point is 01:04:11 Slab is bar. Okay, so Beyonce's doing her Cowboy Carter tour And she had a date in her hometown of Houston Houston's NRG Stadium where the Texans play And everything was going swimmingly Everything's going good She's being the great amazing performer she is Singing 16 carriages
Starting point is 01:04:27 She was inside a classic red convertible Cadillac And it was strapped to harnesses And it was flying in the air As she was performing in the crowd, listen to this Sounds amazing right Amazing Yeah Everything was going great
Starting point is 01:04:49 then Beyonce abruptly stopped the concert The crowd The crowd started to freak out That's scary Yes listen to another reaction She don't got no warranty That's a scary situation The car started a malfunctioning
Starting point is 01:05:22 You know Beyonce felt the car moving away That it wasn't supposed to And so she stopped the concert immediately And had them lower the car to the floor Until she got out safely Then the crowd was able to breathe a sigh of relief and cheer. So lots of people are online wondering, like, why would she even be doing this
Starting point is 01:05:44 dangerous stunt in the first place? But it's a pretty common practice for artists to do, especially in these big arenas. They like to take the performance to the next level, right? Michael Jackson's done this, like, back in 92, he used a harness that looked like a jetpack, and he would, like, fly around the crowd. Oh, okay. It was super cool. Pink does this.
Starting point is 01:06:01 She does it, like, upside down. It's crazy. Yeah, she, like, flies, like, all over. And she's actually had too much. malfunctions in the like as she's doing that flying above the crowd but no one was injured and you know she was like lowered as well and then most recently Chris Brown was doing this on the Breezy Bowl tour about three months ago he got stuck when he was singing up in the air and then you know he got help down he got help down on a ladder you know although it's dangerous though no one no singer has actually
Starting point is 01:06:30 fallen down oh good good yeah that there's probably that's the reason why there's like safety harnesses and all of that, extra precaution that should this go wrong, there's other things that we can help you with or have you set in place. You know, when it comes to Beyonce and all these performers doing that, Vick, a lot of them do it for the fans
Starting point is 01:06:49 that are up in the nosebleeds. Understanding, like, the people on the floor, yeah, they can see me, people close by, they can get in. But I kind of want to go up so that you can feel and you can have that moment too. Think Bad Bunny was, yeah,
Starting point is 01:07:00 got lifted up too. And it's different things that artists will do so that you even, wherever you buy the tickets, you feel like you got a great seat. Yeah. Because even Tyler did it, he had almost like the back of a trailer, like a trailer, and he walked on top of it in order to transition to the other stage. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:20 Oh, that's pretty tiny. Yeah, it was really cool. It gets scary, though, when you're dangling and you have to play it off. Beyonce in that moment could not freak out. It's total, like, professional. She had to be calm because she gets rattled up. It might even start something else within the fans, you know, that can freak out over it. I did see a video where a guy was filming.
Starting point is 01:07:43 And he was giving his two cents to. He's like, it's because they got Destiny's Child in the trunk and then they're too heavy. So that's why it's going to. And he's like, bro. No, he legit thought that Destiny's child was going to pop out of the trunk. Like, he was speaking so serious. It's like, no, bro. But I was trying to call it.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Like, oh, it's because it is. Jay Z's about to pop out. You guys don't even know. In the trunk. Do you think she'll still do it? I don't know I mean I I think she
Starting point is 01:08:07 She probably will Yeah She probably will You know Just she does a lot of You know Things to take her Performances to the next level
Starting point is 01:08:14 Yeah And I think she's all about the show And the experience for the fans So I don't think she'll stop it But you know It's like A lot of people are wondering Like should people still be doing
Starting point is 01:08:24 This dangerous stunt? Yeah it's very dangerous Yeah You know somebody definitely got fired That's an award Literally The whole team got fired Right
Starting point is 01:08:31 Or it could just be like a It's a It's a equipment thing. It's a kind of buddy. That's a, yeah, it's really heavy though, like a car. It's a car. So she gets down and then she tells the crowd,
Starting point is 01:08:42 something or other of, I knew if I would fall, y'all would catch me. Yeah, she said, I want to thank y'all for love me. And if I ever fall, I know y'all will catch me. All right. That's true. You catching her? I'm moving out of the way.
Starting point is 01:08:53 I'm moving out the way. I'm going to say, wait. Angie, you're going to catch you? No, there's a whole car. I'm ready for the jelly. Catch the Cadillette? I don't know. What?
Starting point is 01:09:03 No. That was scared. Oh, yeah. And besides that, like, addressing the crowd and, like, saying that, she hasn't actually officially responded online. She just posted photos of the show and said, I love you, Houston. Yeah. And then the last slide was her in the car.
Starting point is 01:09:18 So it's kind of, like, acknowledging it, but it wasn't, like, oh, you know, making, like, a big deal out of it. I think she wants to maintain this, like, I still want people to come. I don't want people to be scared. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It was just a little mishap that happened. Yeah, she basically was swerving on them.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Oh, God. Swarman on him. Yeah. Yeah. I got it. Oh, yeah. I thought you were referencing Jello for some. Me too.
Starting point is 01:09:39 At first, I'm like, wait. I was like, wait. Swarman. You are not real. Yeah. And you are, sir? Yeah. I'm a beehive person.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Are you? I thought you would have said she was on it like a surfboard. Same song, no? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Oh, gosh. Do your halo joke.
Starting point is 01:09:55 Go. Oh, okay. Well. See? The crowd was at risk of all having halos. See? How does that sound now? I think this is great. I think it killed.
Starting point is 01:10:07 I'll pull out with you. Hey! He didn't get there. He didn't get there. So we're fine. All right. Well, that was your word on those terms. Brought to you by your local.
Starting point is 01:10:16 He feels resentment right now. Southern California. Toyota dealers. I'm Rose Kransvick for Brownback Mornings on Power 106. And make sure to tune in every day at 8 a.m. Where I keep you up to date with all the latest stories in hip-hop and more. Angie, what you got coming up? Dude, okay.
Starting point is 01:10:30 We got to talk about Drake because he, He tried to thirst trap on the internet and he's getting cooked. Cool. Hey! Sambra Sala with Angie. Okay. Someone needs to take Drake's phone away and check up on him and see if he's seen right. Because he posted a selfie and it's him in front of a mirror, right?
Starting point is 01:10:54 And it's him without a t-shirt and a six-pack. Yeah. And people are roasting him because the six-pack, he's like, cut, right? But then, like, there's no muscles, like, upper, like. on the arms, chest, things like that. People are calling him saying like, A, fool, like, we know, like, what you did. You got surgery. PBL Drizzi.
Starting point is 01:11:15 Yes. He's living up to his name right now. Yeah. That's why they called him that. Yes, but it's, like, fool, like, do you not think where everyone's going to see this? Like, is your eyesight okay? Sorry if a man's confident in himself and wants to post a picture of his six-pack abs. It's fake, though.
Starting point is 01:11:31 So, these girls have BBLs and they're posting fake ones. Yeah, but they look good. To someone, though, that looks good to him. That looks good. Yeah, he's confident in himself. No, it's just, it's, he's not seen what everyone else is seeing Drake. And then he tries, so it's like a carousel, right? So if you slide to the next one, it's like him, quote unquote, proving that he's working out because it's him running.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Running. But it's like full. What's the problem? He's working out. The problem is that his abs do not match the other side parts of the muscles. But running wouldn't give you that anyway. Yes, it's cardio, though, but it's not. No, running will slim you down, but running wouldn't give you.
Starting point is 01:12:04 They're trying to say that he's trying to prove that he got that. Chill out, Greg, I'm not coming at you. I'm just saying running wouldn't do that anyway. So it's not even for that specific reason. Yeah, but it's proving that he's still working out. He would have been doing like an ad workout. Yeah, like if he were doing sit-ups and he would be trying to fake that he's doing it. He looked like he did a million crunches and no push-ups.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Yeah, like, I like that rolling one. Yeah. But even if he was to do the rolling one, like you would naturally get the rolling one, like you would naturally get the muscles like in your arms. We know he got surgery. It's totally a surgery thing. Yeah. He knows too.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Yeah. I don't know why he does it. Okay, so like I feel like you just shouldn't flex questionable things, right? I have some shoes that bottom the pandemic. I don't know if they're 100% real. I bought them off a guy. They look really nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:49 But I'm not going to go on like flexing them. Like, look at what I got you guys. Because I'm not really sure how authentic they are. Right. Yeah. But it's like, why are you putting, like setting yourself up for potentially being cooked? You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:03 And that's where I'm like, I don't know if he knew what was coming, where he was just like, whatever. Like, I'm going to post it and just people are going to cook me. Right. Well, the caption was meant to do something else, correct? Yes. So the caption, even the caption itself, it says, I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it
Starting point is 01:13:20 till they get it right from the type who just dot, dot, dot, dot type. And then everybody's just typing, the commenting. Whoa, bars. Yeah, that's typical drink like that. Oh, deep. Like it's cuts. Yeah. That's what he wanted.
Starting point is 01:13:33 He wanted to drop this and people to, he'd be like, y'all not phasing me. He's not throwing away trolling us. No. Not trolling. He was being serious. He was being serious. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:44 It was his little troll, not troll. His little flex post for sure. Yeah. But yeah, he got surgery. Yeah. Why are like this new news? Because it's like, why would you? That's what Kendry said.
Starting point is 01:13:55 And then tell him where you get your abs from. Yeah. But this is like publicly admitting to it like full like. Bro, if I paid that much, I'm flexing. them. If I pay for abs, I'm flexing them. Because you're not paying for it to just look in the mirror on them. Yeah, have a shirt all the time. Hell no.
Starting point is 01:14:08 Well, okay, so my thing is when it came before Cardi B, no girl talked about the, just anything, any work done knowing, everything was natural. I just grew up like this or this just came in. Cardi B was the first, like, public figure to be like, yep, I got those shots in. It's not expensive. Like, I fixed my teeth. And then after that, it seemed to be like the floodgates open to like just that that what is it
Starting point is 01:14:34 not vulnerability but admitting no transparency transparency yeah that transparency of this is what I'm doing could Drake do that now for artists because he's the could be called the biggest artist
Starting point is 01:14:43 in the world being like open about yeah I got surgery fix my abs yeah no to all the men out there go ahead you guys can do it too yeah no
Starting point is 01:14:51 and feel less I guess less had to hide it you know what I think supposedly allegedly money bag yo also did the same thing because it's like yeah when people just pop out with abs when they've had a lean belly
Starting point is 01:15:02 for years. It's like all of a sudden you're like, whoa, where'd you get that from? It's like, yeah, you could get in the gym. But like those type of results are like you have to be super intense on top of your diet, all this stuff. And it doesn't happen in a couple months. I think at some point that's going to get as regular as people getting their teeth done because look at how normal we look that.
Starting point is 01:15:20 But that's also a cosmetic surgery. You know? And before I was like, wow, did they get their teeth on this extra white? They look like chomper's all of that. But now it's like, who doesn't? You know? So maybe Drake's is doing it for y'all. maybe this is men empowerment.
Starting point is 01:15:33 He's trying to be the Cardi B of men. Well, to allow y'all to now be, it's either him or Oscar, to allow you all yeah, to allow you all to be down to etch your six. I was going to say that because Oscar's the first to admit it. So maybe Drake should follow that too. Just admit it to come out and be like a full, yeah, same Oscar. Put it in a rap, you know. And I guess it goes to the like the bee rabbit in eight mile.
Starting point is 01:15:58 I'm going to say it about myself before you guys said it about me because they're kind of. They like push a T. it in his story of Adon, he said something like surgical summer, snip, snip, snip, he alluded to it. He never got into it because he was thinking they were going to go more rounds, but then Drake said that stuff, blah, blah, whoa, was it going to throw drop the best this song in the world? All that stuff happened. And then so Kendrick is like, tell him where you get your abs from. Yeah. You know, and then the BBL Jersey stuff. So maybe he's like, look, instead of y'all clowning me for it, I'm going to own it. Like, supposedly he owned the
Starting point is 01:16:25 Ghost Rider stuff. Ghostwriter stuff. Like, you know what? Let me just be the poster child since y'all are going to say that I do it. So maybe it's him like taking his power back. Maybe. Yeah. I hope so. I want to hear some raps about that. I'll see how he can flip it. And honestly, I know dudes, too.
Starting point is 01:16:39 Dudes always be thinking about how to make their bodies better. Yeah. Stuff is not. I guess they don't feel as okay to talk about it or do it because it's not socially acceptable yet. Because look at the way they clown how women are when they get their BBOs and they're showing it off and it's fake. Yeah. Guys are, y'all ready too.
Starting point is 01:16:58 Y'all know what surgeries you're going to get if you want. If I could enhance my... I'll have it Why I gotta be that one I know Why not? Why not? Why not?
Starting point is 01:17:07 Why not? I'm a man that wants to have it a lot I'll have it on the table right here Don't. You're still Jose. Jose texting Take the two hour class
Starting point is 01:17:13 The sexual rasmin one You're still getting trouble Even if it's a helicopter Yeah It doesn't save me I'll have the writing on everything too Nothing crazy I'm glad
Starting point is 01:17:21 I'm glad you shouldn't No they get There's like they Chisle their chin To look like the jaw line The hair transplant The etching All of that.
Starting point is 01:17:32 I've been thinking about getting my knees done. Okay. A little taller. That's the one I was going to say. Yeah. But I heard it's really painful. You'd go for it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:38 No, actually, I've seen somebody do it. They did grow a lot, but they walk super funny. Yeah. It'll never be the same. Well, you skip funny already, so. It'll match. Oh, okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:17:47 I'm done. I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm happy. Brasana. Brought to you by your local Southern California and Toyota dealers. And make sure to come back tomorrow for more Chismet. I'm Anthony from Mank.
Starting point is 01:18:00 All right. Check it out, fellas. I need to ask you a question when it comes to picking up chicks. That's right. Not just chewing on rocks. Like, can't carry now. Bro, what are you eating? Sorry.
Starting point is 01:18:11 I don't pick up chicks anymore. Okay. When you guys did pick up chicks, just go back in time. Back in time. I can travel back. What haircut got you the most girls? Oh. A hat.
Starting point is 01:18:27 Yeah, you'd be like right now. Maximo. I think the curls. The curls get to the girls? What? Curls get the girls. There was two haircuts for me. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Okay. One was the 2000s like tapered with the spikes? Kind of, but when mine curled. Yeah. And then I had a lineup with the, you know, with the little. With the ice picks? With the ice picks? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:47 That was cold. That was cold. The ice picks is that the sideburn? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was a ice pick and then, you know, and that was fire. Fire.
Starting point is 01:18:54 It got the girls. Oh, yeah. That and the braids. And the braids. The braids. When I was telling the people, I was Puerto Rican. Yeah. You said that enough that I actually do believe you faked Puerto Rican.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Me too. No, he did. I am not lying about that. Oh, so you're not lying that you did fake be Puerto Rican? Absolutely, I did. Did it just only go far and saying I'm Puerto Rican or did you act it? Oh, it was the whole bit. I concrete.
Starting point is 01:19:19 Daddy Andy? Dog, I had T-shirts. Puerto Rican flags? I had in my car. Your frame. Oh, my God. The middle thing is car. It was my dad's car, so I would have to take it off when I got home.
Starting point is 01:19:30 Oh my goodness. What girl was it? What you're from? What are you from? Oh my gosh. We even did research? When did you accept your Mexican nationality then? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:19:44 Because at the time it was like it was a thing. It was like a thing between our boys. And then it worked the first time and I was like, hmm, I got to keep doing this. I didn't mean for this to go that long. How long is it again? All right. We're deflecting. Seven years.
Starting point is 01:19:59 The reason I have. ask you guys about your haircuts? Yes. Yes. It's because study says, and research shows, that the fade haircut is the most attractive haircut to women. Which fade? Yeah. It just says the fade haircut. Everything is a fade, kind of.
Starting point is 01:20:15 A taper fade, midfade, high fade, low fade. This is a you guys thing, not a meaning. None of you guys said fade. This who said braids. You said curls. No, I had a fade. Yeah, but I still had a fade with the girls. So then that was the one that worked better for you. Well, that's the one that my wife eventually fell in love with. So that's the one that worked on her.
Starting point is 01:20:30 Is that what? you still have right now? No. Okay, the fade, specifically sharp fade, accentuates the jawline. It feature many women subconsciously associate with masculinity and strength. So maybe if you're having trouble picking the chicks,
Starting point is 01:20:45 Josefino, Umberto, not anymore because you got Karen the barber. Try a sharp fade. You know, who wrote it? I don't be honest, who wrote this? Science. Who says sharp fade? No, I get it.
Starting point is 01:20:58 I don't know. You guys literally ask what kind of fade. Because there's a thing about symmetry and when people are attractive, it looks like they have like symmetrical phase. Additionally, the classic fade gives off a bold alpha male aura and confidence. I don't know what fades are. I am not in the barber asking for way. It can't even be a comb over fade, dude. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:21:17 It's still a sharp fade. But you want the crispiest lineup at all times. You want the freshest fade. You know what I'm saying? And that's what's going to get the girls. You know what the crispiest fades? Who? Will Smith.
Starting point is 01:21:27 True. Smith did. Krispiest fade. Jamie Fox had a crispiest phase. All right. So then I have a question. If you don't want to pick up chicks, should you not get a haircut? That's what I do.
Starting point is 01:21:36 That's one way to keep them away. Okay. Sometimes doesn't work, though. Oh, they'll still come after you. Yeah, they'll remember your faith. No, I have to. Oh, it's a memory. I have to literally stay at home.
Starting point is 01:21:46 Stay away from all these chicks. It doesn't even matter what happens. Oh, gosh. All right. That was your daily science. Science. I believe in science. Here on Power 806.
Starting point is 01:21:55 Yes, and coming up in 10 minutes, Vin Diesel made a lot of fans furious with This announcement about the latest fast and furious movie, and I'll tell you about it next. Ladies and gentlemen, could I please have your attention? I like you, I love. Dave! You're the James, you're a filthy animal. What you're thinking it? Yeah, well, he's sad it.
Starting point is 01:22:17 All right, guys, Vin Diesel was at Fuel Fest in Pomona this weekend. What is Fuel Fest? Fuel Fest, it's a festival that's like with a bunch of cars. Car enthusiasts. Oh, that's so high. Yeah, exactly. So he was there, and he spoke to the crowd. at Field Fest and he made three big announcements
Starting point is 01:22:36 about the next movie in the Fast Saga Fast and Furious X part two section nine Oh yeah because I'm like wait We already had Fast X but it did leave off in a cliffhanger Where it like did this full die? To be continued Oh, that's a part two
Starting point is 01:22:53 They look he went like Harry Potter with it Harry Potter to split a book into two movies Yeah or like Twilight It was cool because Vindies are actually joined Tyrese and Cody, which is Paul Walker's brother. Yeah, it would have been cool if it would just been Fast and Fierce
Starting point is 01:23:10 11 too, but I don't know, Fast Fierce. The other one left on a cliffhanger, bro. True, true, true. It was a good cliffhanger as well. Okay, so this is what he said to the crowd. Then, can we please have the finale of Fast and Furious April 2027? I said under three
Starting point is 01:23:28 conditions. The first is to bring the franchise Back to L.A. The second thing was to return to the car culture to the street racing. Perfect. The third thing, reuniting Dom and Brian O'Connor. That is what you're going to get in the finale. Two out of three.
Starting point is 01:23:57 Two out of three for me. They already came back to L.A. in the first half. Yeah, but they were in helicopters and doing all this crazy stuff. Yeah, but that was just number thing, number one. There he already gave his one. Yeah, well, I think what he's saying is that he's going to make it less like a superhero movie. Movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:13 And more realistic to like the originals. That's what he had said. This past one wasn't like crazy. Yes, it was. Yeah, it was. There was like the parking lot that had like burnt down or something like that and all this. The house blew up again for the fifth time. Yeah, but that to me is not like the other ones like where they touch space and then come back.
Starting point is 01:24:30 True. They toned it down a little bit, but it was still crazy. Even at the end, the cliffhanging, what the car was going to fall on him or something? Yeah. And it was just like, how are they going to survive that? Yeah. You know? Superhero.
Starting point is 01:24:40 It is a threat. Ben Diesel, look, was the superhero in that movie. Yeah. Like, he had the superpowers. He took him away from everybody else. But the point that everybody's kind of sticking on is that he's going to be reunited with Brian Paul Walker, who is passed away. Yes.
Starting point is 01:24:53 That's the part that's like, you know, like, you had me in the first two, street racing, awesome. I want to see LA. I'm a sucker for L.A. movies. Just the thought of like, you know, takeovers and current culture being involved is like Amazing Sixth Street Bridge.
Starting point is 01:25:08 I'm sure it's going to have like an iconic scene in it, right? But bringing back Brian O'Connor, it's like, bro, we already said bye to him. Like, how are you going to, how are you going to top this? It's been a long day without you, my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. That was one of the same.
Starting point is 01:25:31 That's saddest scenes in a movie ever. I cried, bro. I'll still cry if I watch it right now. Vic, I hope they don't try to do the whole thing that they did with Han. Like, they killed him off in the movie, but they brought him back. I don't know how they would try that.
Starting point is 01:25:46 Well, they didn't kill Brian off as a character. They just said he wants to stay away. He wants to be a family man now. So they kind of let him, like, you know, right off into the sunset, right? And that was like the thing. It was like, all right, he's not going to be around anymore. But we, as fans knew he's not going to be around anymore.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Because he passed away in real life, his character. But they did use CGI with his brothers, Cody. He looked very much like him. He looked so much like. His other brother. So they're going to use that again, but I'm just like, ah. We don't know if they're going to use that again. Yes, probably they will.
Starting point is 01:26:16 But we're not sure. We're not sure. What? Oh. Old footage? No. What? So you know how this ended off where Vin almost dies, right?
Starting point is 01:26:24 Yes. He dies. He dies. He's in heaven. I was thinking that too. The angel he sees is Brian. in and then he comes back to life. Oh,
Starting point is 01:26:34 oh, when it happens, just tell, you're welcome. I want to think letty. And it's in 2027, so those were probably still writing it. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:26:43 Are you in the movie? I'm not. The other letty is. Letty. Oh, okay, I was like, whoa, how'd you know? Great screen.
Starting point is 01:26:48 But that would be like a way. That would be good, yeah. Because the way it ended, it was like on this crazy, like, where these big rigs and all, and then they're happening. Cars were like falling.
Starting point is 01:26:59 And there's like rocks everywhere. They were like in the water. He's in the rocks running away. I thought it was a parking structure that like falls. No, I think you're watching another movie. You think you watched a, no, someone with the earthquake movie? You watched the earthquake movie. Oh, with the rock?
Starting point is 01:27:11 Yeah. You did. Maybe. There's no parking lot. But yeah, a lot of fans are reacting about this, you know, saying like, you know what? I think this is crossing the line. Just let him rest and stuff like that. So it's causing a lot of controversy.
Starting point is 01:27:27 Right. And you know, AI is a thing now. Right. Maybe they wouldn't even look. He need the brothers just like a sign off of can we use his likeness. Because the things that AI can do now is crazy. We've seen it where the videos of fake influencers, but they're having a full-on combo.
Starting point is 01:27:42 It looks real. But it's an AI, like a created image that it would be something like, hey, make Brian say these things. And they already have the voice like in the bank because he's spoken before. And everything to make it possible. They just need someone to sign off on it. It's going to be sad. You know what I just thought about?
Starting point is 01:27:59 I feel like they're probably going to involve his daughter who they brought into like a little scene in the last movie. It was like a very quick cameo. I feel like maybe they're going to get her more involved in this movie like as like a part of like the street racing. Right. But they did say Brian himself. Yeah. Right. I did feel the same way because I feel like this might be a way to bring money to the family.
Starting point is 01:28:20 Like her daughter, her brother. And, you know, by adding them to the movie, that way they could add them to like the... They can add them to the movie. But they have to add him. He said Brian. He didn't say Brian's daughter. Well, Brian's brother ends up being the actor that they used to CGI. That's what they did last time.
Starting point is 01:28:37 Yeah. No, totally understood. Yeah. But they're saying Brian. Yeah. Don't they name the baby Brian? The baby that they had? If he lies and does that, I'm still annoyed.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Oh, yeah. That's the loser. Brian Jr.? What a great tease. Yeah. The way that they managed to create. to create that end scene with Paul Walker and that driveaway scene, I think it's something like movie cinema history should be taken down because they just did it perfectly.
Starting point is 01:29:10 It got all of us in our feelings again. You can't hear that song without directly tying it. I'm thinking of them on the beach and celebrating him and all of that. For you to maybe do something now that might take away from that, don't know if it's worth the risk. I can do with you 100%. Lettie. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:29:28 Like, you can't top it. You look. It's been a long day. That's so sad. Sano. Right. Without you, my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
Starting point is 01:29:43 What if the song is. Say it. You say it. Yeah, you say it. Yeah. Yeah. That was a tease. That was a tease.
Starting point is 01:29:50 I'll tell you all better when I see you again. Oh, my God. Wow. Wow. It's crazy. Don't even release it. I want to watch it. I'm in.
Starting point is 01:29:59 I'm in. You got to wait two years. 2027. By that point, the new ride's going to be out already. So it's scary. It'll be a whole thing. It's a rollout.
Starting point is 01:30:08 Wow. I feel bad for anyone that hates the Fast and Furious franchise. Terrible people. Who hate that? Bro, Ben Diesel is a terrible actor. He is. Hey.
Starting point is 01:30:18 He is. He is great. He's great. He's terrible. He's terrible. We have family. He is. We are a terrible.
Starting point is 01:30:26 Family. taught us about family. That's the problem why Greg doesn't like him. Yes. This car is scary. Are you done, brother? Yes, I'm done. All right.
Starting point is 01:30:34 Thank you. What's going down, Victor? Malik Beasley, former Laker, Larsa Pippins-X, is being investigated by the federal government on allegations of gambling related to NBA games and prop bets. Oh. All right. So they believe that he is participating in prop bets. and so he's being investigated currently
Starting point is 01:31:00 and if he's found of any wrongdoing he could be banned from the NBA forever Wow All right, let me tell you guys the worst part He is a free agent And was about to make $42 million on his next contract Dang But it got, of course, he's not going to get picked up.
Starting point is 01:31:17 Yeah, so he's not been charged But he's being investigated But that's enough to make teams not want to touch them I wonder how they get that tip That hey investigate this person Well, what happens is when, you know, a lot of, like, let's say a lot of prop bets continue to hit on the same player. It starts to get a little fishy. People start to kind of review tape.
Starting point is 01:31:37 And if they start doing odd things, which right now there's a lot of highlights of or low lights, whatever you want to call them, circulating of Malik Beasley, of him doing strange things on the court, you know, let's say they're down by like 10 points, right? Okay. But the spread on that game is 8.5. So it's like, okay, if it's more than 8.5, then certain people will make money. So he'll run to the basket. It's like five seconds left. There's a clip of him running to the basket and scoring a point. That point doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:32:06 They're going to lose anyway. So they're like, why is he doing that? For betting, a lot of people will make a lot of money. And if he's one of them, then he's going to, you know, affect the outcome. That's what I was going to ask too. So he's betting on himself. Likely. That's why it's wrong.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Yeah. Because you can, you know, you can, you can, you can, you know, can manipulate the outcome of a game. Like if you're just a better, you're betting on the Bulls to win or the so-and-so to lose by two points, you don't know anyone in there in order to get that done. But if a ref or a player is hip to hate, I bet this much bad, cool, I'll step out, or on-purpose lose or on-purpose try to do this, on-purpose rebound or assist or whatever, then that's where it gets tricky, right?
Starting point is 01:32:46 Yeah. And more players have been caught now. Like last year, another player was suspended for the year. John Tate Porter. No, he got banned for life from NBA. For life because of the same type of situation where they caught unusual bets of games that he was playing in. And for example, from a league. And it's like an unusual player to bet on, right?
Starting point is 01:33:02 Yes. It's a little random. From Malik, they were saying that there is an unusual amount of bets on him as well than usual when he isn't like. I mean, he's a great player, but he isn't like a star caliber player for people to be like caring about it that much. To bet on them that much. And even there's like there's clips of him like letting a play. player that's in front of him that he's guarding just run right past them so they're like what are you dude like you're you're a good player that's not like you right to do but it's like maybe he's betting on
Starting point is 01:33:32 that player to score a certain amount of points it's like if someone we're betting on brown bag right yeah and it's like hey uh we bet that there's going to be like seven pervy jokes from gregg right and then you only had five but then before the show ends you do two crazy pervy comments and it's like someone gets paid and it's like why are people why is greased great kind of just going above or beyond for like these perv comments. Is it because he's a perv? No, no,
Starting point is 01:33:58 it's because I'm making bed. No, no. You see? It's like, it's like knowing, oh, they got this on me. And then maybe like I'm in on there.
Starting point is 01:34:08 I told my cousin a bet or I'm the username. Because now you can bet on the app, right? Of course. Yeah. And that's the confusing part to me because I'm like, okay, let's say, you know, he bet on a spread. Like, how much is he going to make a couple hundred thousand?
Starting point is 01:34:22 You know what I'm saying? in comparison to like making 42 million for just being a good player. Yeah. That's way more like incentive to do that. In the NBA, you can't bet on the NBA at all, right? No. Like you get him bet on other sports, but not just in the end of it. You could.
Starting point is 01:34:35 You could, but it's not a great idea. Jordan's like a big, Michael Jordan was a big better. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So then he got a trouble for it. Yeah. Supposedly there's actually sports theories.
Starting point is 01:34:46 Yeah. There's sports theories that the reason he retired, not because he wanted to retire, but because they were like, bro, you owe so much bread. And then you're betting. And that's why he said, I have to be done with this. But then he came back. Right? What the?
Starting point is 01:34:57 Because then people were like, bro, we need you on the game. Yeah, they stopped watching the NBA. They're like, oh, never, right. He needs your back. Yeah, suppose he had, like, stuff with the mob, all of that. What? Bro. There's even, like, a theory about why his dad is no longer with this.
Starting point is 01:35:10 RIP. There's a lot of theories. And even players that have said that Michael Jordan was the one that got them into gambling and they ended up with gambling. What? Yeah. It was a bad influence? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:21 But he always had more money. So it was like less for him. Like if he lost, let's say a million dollars, it's not that big a deal. Pocket change. But for another player, it's a big deal. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a whole thing.
Starting point is 01:35:32 But yeah, Malik Beasley likely not returning to the NBA after this. Sheesh. You think it's just once that's your habit. That's not my personal habit, but like I do have habits, you know? Yeah. But if that's your habit, you just can't stop it. Because you would know ethically that's not the right thing to do. Oh, yeah.
