It seems like soccer is running the town as it runs the world. Yeah, it does. Yeah, it does. It's true. Yesterday, not only did Mexico win the gold cup, but over the weekend and throughout the weekend, we're hearing reports of what L.A. Galaxy fans are doing. amidst all of the lack of statement from their personal team. Yes.

There is a purportedly allegedly a fan walkout of a recent LA Galaxy game where, I believe in the 12th minute, they said, peace out. Yep. Come out. You're going to see us walk out of the stand. Similar to you know how they always pan to the Dodgers fans in like the ninth inning when we're winning. And we're just walking out.

You know, like on the TV they always pan out. And it's like, why are they leaving? The game's not over. And it's like because of parking. Traffic. Yeah, LA Galaxy fans did it in protest and to say, like, we know you guys haven't spoken up. The team did say, you know, we will help team, excuse me, we will help people that work for us and families affected, but we won't take a, essentially, we won't take a stance. Yeah.

And their fans are like, not good enough. Dang. So that was a big statement made over the weekend. I believe the fan area as well did fight ignorance, not immigrants. Fight ignorance, not immigration. something in the longer. Yeah. Yeah.

It was really beautiful gesture. And I believe the specific fight, excuse me, the specific match is a July 4th match. Yeah, no, so what they did was the supporter groups planned the walkout at the 12th minute,

but they also did, everyone was silent. So usually there's trumpets, there's drums, all the supporters sections didn't make any noise the whole game. So they were saying like silence, combat silence.

I like that. And L-AFC, fans did also go silent, but it was with support of the team. Usually if you go to like an LAFC match, 3252 or 3252, incredibly loud and beautifully loud, but they were also quiet in when these first, when these things started initially happening. So I do see that as part of their own silent protest to what's going on. 100%. What's the significance of the 12th minute? Like why was it at the 12th minute specifically why they wanted to like walk out. It's just kind of where where my mind goes.

I'm sure that was the reason. I'm not, to be honest with you, I'm not exactly sure. Yeah. I just know that was like the what they agreed on. And that's when everyone from the supporter section. Because it seems like during these type of times, it's like everything has a significance to it. You know what I'm saying?

So I'm sure the 12 is also like, you know, representative of something else. Yeah. How long is the soccer game usually? 90 minutes. 90 minutes. But sometimes it goes over. or sometimes they'd add minutes. Depending on the extra time.

Yeah. Flags are being thrown all of that. I will say though, it's a specific fandom, the Angel City Brigade, all right? And what they've been doing, as well as just the silence that Maximus said

and the 12th minute walkout is they've also not been traveling with the team. A lot of times the team needs you the most when they're somewhere else. And these fandoms are the best that coming together for their team, you know, Dodgers have the pantone. Pantone too.

94. Shout the homies. 3252 travels for the team. And so when it comes to the galaxy, the Angel City Brigade, they do that, but they skip San Jose match. They also have canceled viewing parties. They want the team to know,

hey, we are not pleased. And you know, this all does send a message not just to the team, but to other fandoms. If you're a Dodger fan and you're looking at this, you're like, dang. Yeah. Like, you know, like, because not only has my team

been relatively silent, and said, hey, we have a message. We're going to delay it, though, y'all. But also seeing what the pockets of Mark Walter are also getting fat from these ICE detention centers and the actual, excuse me, some tracking devices or tracking software that ICE and DHS is using to track illegal and undocumented immigrants.

And immigrants in general, because I wouldn't even say they're just looking for undocumented people from the way that it's just panning out and the stats of how many are, from here how many are not how many have not done criminal activity how many have it's just too much of uh oh this just happened once or twice no it's a pretty beefed up part of the percentage of people that they're they're picking up happen to be documented and happen to have no crime so i'm not even going to say that that's like the agenda they're pushing is the one that is actually happening yeah

unfortunately for like the dodgers and obviously now the lakers because they are the same owner there hasn't been enough pressure from like the fan base for them to feel like the i'm thing to actually do anything. Yeah. You know? Yeah. It does make it seem like, oh, damn. Like when somebody, like, for example, like opens a door for somebody and then you feel like,

oh, damn. Oh, I missed that one. You kind of feel that pressure societally, right? And I salute to the galaxy like for doing that because now it's going to put pressure on other fan bases. Other, you know, places that are like, oh, okay, well, we're just going along like business as usual. But other people aren't. Now it makes you feel like, damn. And you know, I'll just say that it's not pressure or guilt, inspiration.

Yeah. Because a lot of times the fans did feel hopeless. I'm like, dang, what can we do? Like, yes, this is happening, but I love Freddie Freeman and I love Kyrn Shaw, right? Kirschar just hit this 300,000, 3,000 strikeout. All of this is like something to be celebrated. But then Dodger fans, I know I pitted, like, what can I do? I love this team.

And now you can be inspired by other fandoms. of like this is how they're doing it. Imagine Dodger Stadium silent. That's crazy. You know? Imagine no Michilada sold. Yes. Damn.

That's hot pass. Or during like the seventh inning stretch walking out. You know like there's these things, these ideas that can be had and brought into place because you're seeing what other people are doing. I will like to highlight the fact and we clown it sometimes. A lot of Galaxy fans are Central American. Yeah. And a lot of that specific group is.

It's targeted. You know, we may mask it as like, oh, it's just the Mexican community. No, they kind of just pit us in all of that. But a lot of the places that and countries that people are coming to America from is not necessarily Mexico, but Central America and South America. So to see this be essentially their biggest team in Los Angeles and them say, Vaya, boy. Yeah.

You know, for them to be doing that. Cajate you all. Yeah. Tamme in silence. For them to say that and do that, it is very, I can't but respect that show of force. No, this is amazing. And hopefully other teams see it and, you know, follow suit. That's the only thing we can think of because unfortunately we use sports.

We use music. Those are our escape from our daily life, from our struggles and everything. But now it's like we're teetering the line where it's like, is it escape? Because at the end of the day, you hit these parking lots after the game. You hit these streets and, you know, ice and things. are happening. Yeah, that's so unfortunate. Then you see these things of ice will be security. Like the, these cup matches and it's like, bro, for what? Why deter us from that? One last question. Do you think that them purchasing a ticket and still, and doing the walkout? But they purchased a ticket that that's kind of like the, did you really do something?

Or you thought you ate? Devil's advocate? Like they, they bought the ticket. It shows like they'll pay, they'll pay to make a statement. You get me? Like, it's just like more of like, no, we. still paid just so you guys to see what's going to happen yeah well i yeah i think it also like yeah i agree with gregg it's also like okay yes nobody could have showed up to the stadium but there there's not a clear reason why yeah you know what i'm saying and the fact of them showing up then leaving is like this is our power yeah it's like we're here we can but we won't yep yeah we won't stay and watch this okay i will tell you my soccer knowledge is as good as my any other sport knowledge Sports.

But I did look up the 12 minute, brother. The walkout occurred specifically in the 12th minute of the game, which is a symbolic act referencing the 12th minute of stoppage time in a half. Oh, so it's like a quarter if it would be a quarter in soccer? Okay. Right? I think so. You don't know, but you want to the answer?

So the video is very politically charged, and it's pushing the movement of Puerto Rican independence. So he shows the Statue of Liberty with a Puerto Rican flag across Lady Liberty's forehead, right? And this is actually a reference to when Puerto Rican activists did this in real life in 1977. Incredible. Yes, so it seems like Bad Bunny's pushing for Puerto Rican independence, making a super strong political stance on that. You know what, Vic, I always wondered about, and granted, maybe there should be a Netflix history talk about it that I could watch. tell everybody about it and then make a real about it. And then everybody on social media tell me I'm stupid

and I should have learned this in history class. Right, Jose? What did you do, Jose? Sorry, Adela subliminal. Yeah, I watched a World War II doc on Netflix and I was sharing with the crew that I just learned that, lo-key, all the soldiers in World War II were on crystal meth, okay? And I was like, that is a trip.

But I was telling them in order to give context, I'm so sorry, brother. In order to give context, I was talking about Blitz Creek and I was talking about Blitz. And so the way that Jose edited was that I had just found out about Blitz. And I didn't about how Blitz is used in football and Blitz Creek and all of that. And everybody's like, L-A-U-S-D, you should have learned this in school. Who gave this girl a mic?

Yeah. They cannot vote, but it's like Trump is still your president or our president is your president. But they're U.S. citizens. Yeah. So they have no say in the matter. And it just, I mean, not to get super political, but it's like, then we really have a privilege of voting. Yeah.

You know what I'm saying? And not everybody does. Bad Bunny literally can't vote. Yeah. You know? And to no fault of his own. You know, so although Puerto Ricans are technically immigrants, you know, know, they have obviously a lot of, you know, sympathy for, you know, what immigrants are going through.

And Bad Bunny put a skit in the interview where he has Trump, a Trump in person here, I should say, apologize to all immigrants. Listen to this. I made a mistake. I want to apologize to the immigrants in America. I'm in the United States. I know America is the whole continent. I want to say that this country is nothing without the immigrants.

This country is nothing. Nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans, when it's underrated. Hey. Hey. Oh, I'm sorry. How different would life be if that was his actual train of thought and understanding of the United States of America?

Yeah. Hey, it's us too, bro. Yeah. I just love that bad bunny's imagination with their like, what? Imagine if I just made him, you know, apologized, right? Because he could have done, you know, maybe made a pinata. Yeah, he could have. Yeah, he could have.

I know what this means for all of us. And the difficulty we're having. I saw that shirt everywhere. It was just very tastefully done. I just love how he takes a stand for stuff like that. And for us, but also himself, you know, putting it out on Fourth of July was no coincidence. I'm sure he wants, you know, the independence of Puerto Rico as an island to have their own thing. Because the island is divided with.

People wanting independence and people wanting the right to vote for the U.S. Right. It's extremely down the middle. Like, hey, if we're going to be a part of the U.S., let us be a part of the U.S., yeah. That's how we all feel, brothers and sisters. Oh, my gosh. And, you know, he has a broken arm, broken foot, broken wrist, broken elbow. And he's currently in surgery right now. So, you know, if everybody can please send a prayer to Lefty Gumplay, you know, he's recovering. And, you know, he's also, you know, says he's apologized to his fans and supporters and he will do better. So I guess he's taking accountability for whatever it was. I happen to believe it was at 6 a.m. in the morning. Yeah.

And the reports of that. And, yeah, you know what's unfortunate is we know too much about people sometimes. Like, I shouldn't be able to see how that car look, you know? Yeah. But it's just though, I think the tow truck company. it all real. I think so. Yeah. Then Lefty too, or his account posted it too. So then there's like this, like it's just some things don't allow you to do it privately. And maybe, maybe it's necessary in his case. I'm assuming there's some help that needs to be had. And I would hope that

the people surrounding him physically can help him get to that. You know, too often we see the symptoms of certain things, whether it be addiction, whether it be bad decisions, lifestyle choices, all of that, Vic, that it's like, we see it and we don't say anything. And it's just like, oh, it's a trip or oh. And then later we don't want to see the worst case scenario happen. Sometimes these moments are the call to reality. Like, it could have went so bad, so much quicker than this. Yeah.

Hopefully this lends him to lead in another way. No, absolutely. You know, it's unfortunate that sometimes close calls, you know, call for change and stuff like that. But there's no closer call than this. You know, it's like this is, you know, literally lucky, blessed to be alive. And that's like so scary, you know what I'm saying? As he's a good friend of mine. And it's just like, damn, man, it could have all been over.

You know what I'm saying? Unfortunately. And, you know, but he has another chance. And it's like, you know, with everybody's help and support, you know, we're going to push forward and make sure he's a new, better version of himself. I have a question. If I can pry a little bit. It was really telling where when he was talking to the ICE agents, they told him he's like, hey, y'all didn't. didn't tell my lawyer in Spanish. He's like, wouldn't my, my lawyer didn't tell me about no warrant. He did have a warrant. The president of Mexico said, yes, we, what we hope is that he does his time here, he gets extradited to Mexico and not in the United States. So there are definite crimes, like the crimes he's accused of, reportedly allegedly do happen to be tying him to the Sinaloa cartel specifically. Yeah. Because they have El Chapo over here, right?
