Tim Miller and JVL talk about how the Tate brothers have been let back in the US despite the allegations against them.

Hey everybody, it's Tim Miller from the Bulwark here with my buddy JVL. We have some breaking news this morning, Thursday morning. The Influencer Brothers, Andrew and Tristan Tate, who have been charged with human trafficking in Romania, have left for the United States after a travel ban on them was lifted. A few, who knows, times will flat-circuit right now, a week, a few days ago, we did a video talking about how there were negotiations between the U.S. and Romania. I guess this was a priority for them because Tate was a supporter of Trump's,

a vocal supporter of Trump's. And so the government prioritized making sure he was able to travel in spite of the allegations. I want to get into the allegations, but JBL, you've got any top line thoughts on this priority? I just question. I feel like I remember a time when the idea of there being secret human trafficking organizations was deeply important to the conspiracy minded Trumpist right, the QAnon types. And, I mean, at some point, I guess it stops being shocking that every allegation is a confession. But I don't know.

Like, they seem to be willing to go to the mattresses for a guy who allegedly did real-deal secret human trafficking. Yeah, fake lib trafficking big problem you know right people will kill for to fight frazzle drip but somebody who is actually allegedly in the real world doing the actual thing yeah bring him home he's one of us yeah and that you know i mean it's like who knows maybe where's my andrew tatel moved to america open up a pizza shop and do the trafficking in the basement of his pizza shop and we'll have a real life example of the thing that might go some matter let me actually go through the

indictment here we haven't actually seen the indictment but what what reporting has been about it uh in june 2023 prosecutors in romania accused Tate and his brother and two Romanian women of forming an organized criminal group and trafficking women across Romania, Britain, and the U.S., some American women included. According to court documents, investigators identified seven women who said that the brothers had misled them into believing they wanted a relationship with them. The women were instead housed in a compound near Bucharest and forced to appear in pornographic videos that were shared online. Rape against Tate is another one of the allegations. I think underage minor women are also included as another one of the allegations. Here's something that's not an allegation. Tate is an unapologetic misogynist.

And I want to read one of my one of the more intriguing quotes, I think that sums up his worldview. This was on his TikTok account. And he said that if a woman accuses a man of cheating, there's one appropriate response. It's bang out the machete, boom in her face. You grip her up by the neck. What's up, bitch? You go fuck her. That's how it goes. You go slap, slap, grab, choke, shut up, bitch, sex. So, you know, I mean,

he certainly has indicated in his public statements that his worldview is aligned with some of the things that are happening in the Bucharest sex. Tim. You know, I take Andrew Tate seriously, but not literally. Just a little locker room talk. Oh, just a little locker room talk. I mean, this is important to understand that all of these allegations, which have not yet been proven in a court of law, they aren't the first sets of allegations against Andrew Tate for doing bad, potentially

illegal, or just incredibly shady stuff. There was an alleged pyramid scheme. There was an alleged sexual assault case in England. His entire life has just been bottom feeding versions of like Trump University. So imagine Trump University without the class, right? It's Trump University on top of like sexual assault. And it's if you combine Trump University

and the Billy Bush tape, the Trump-Billy Bush tape, and then you took it like- But none of it is classy. Yeah, the Trump-Billy Bush tape. And then you took it like you did. But none of it is classy. Yeah. That's the key part, right? But not classy. This is the dirtbag version of that stuff. The dirtbag version of that.

Yeah, one other thing worth mentioning. Leaked chats from Tate's War Room in 2023 showed how subscribers are taught to manage women. And in some cases, groom them for online sex work so again like grooming very bad uh allegedly um and the and the mega right that's an accusation that they throw out this what what do you think q what do you think q thinks of this it's because q used to be very concerned about uh women being groomed for bisexual predators will there will we get a drop about andrew tate i don't think we will and this is the thing because he put on the red hat and women being groomed for bisexual predators. Will there, will we get a drop about Andrew Tate? I don't think we will.

And this is the thing because he put on the red hat and this is all it. Like you get total. Ding, ding, ding. You know, it's like, it's like the Catholics JVL.

It's like the mega Catholics. You just got to go in to church. As long as you ask forgiveness, you know, you go to confession, you do your 10 hail marys but in this case you just got to put on the red hat and a creepy huckster you know can can do the sign of the i guess it wouldn't be the sign of the cross you don't even tend to be repentance

right you've got a that's true that's the the key difference here is that instead of repenting you do the crotch chop be like're like, suck it, losers. I'm sorry, Kat. I'm sorry. As a lapsed Catholic, I apologize to the continued Catholics. That is true. Very, very key difference there. A little bit of a difference.

The repentance is missing. Tim, I heard, I don't, I don't even remember where. where but once i heard some republican politician worrying about importing criminals to america is that no longer a concern again as long as they're mega criminals oh oh that's fine oh right right we just can't you know we just can't import any criminals that don't like Donald Trump or that might vote for the Democrats sometime. We cannot do that. But we can import MAGA criminals, sex traffickers, people accused of sexual assault. And it is, look, we can make fun of their absurd hypocrisy and how pathetic and shameful it is and also just how like unbelievably you know misaligned the priorities are like that this is something that just because you

want to appease the incels who are your biggest supporters online who are tweeting at you who's clamoring for this it's not like you know there was 25 percent of his coalition which was demanding that he like this is just a gratuitous. We're doing it because we want to. We want to because there's like a handful of incel weirdos that populate the administration and, you know, the reply feed of Trump's bleats and like that's who we're going to appeal to. And it's total fan service to this tiny, freakish element of the fan base. There's this in vogue thing happening among those of us on the center left or, you know, whatever the anti-Trump movement to talk about how men move towards

Trump and how Democrats need to take this more seriously. Right. And then I like, and how, and there's this crisis of men and Democrats need to talk to young men. And, and yet in a situation like this arises there's no responsibility like where are the like there's no republicans that are being responsible here saying like oh we are communicating with young men and we need to have a responsible message that that this kind of behavior the slap a bitch you know like fake alpha male abuse of women is not how you treat this is this is not how you act as a man as a real man and like and and that is serious like this guy i mean he is a cancer on the

on the culture and and and he is infecting the minds of teen boys you have a teenage son like i mean is there nobody that can that will stand up in the trump administration or among the Republicans on the hill and say say this is bad uh of course not of course there is nobody but like it is really bad it's not like it's not just that it's one bad guy i mean god loved the seven women who got screwed over and and and he should be held accountable for that assuming you know that in a court of law but like culture-wide this is really bad the the tension which i i just don't understand how it works or how it's sustainable is that this coalition is made up of andrew tate incelsels and Mike Johnson, who is an internet porn watch buddy with his own son, where they check each other's browser history to make sure they're not looking at the swimsuit issue. And I don't understand how those two groups hold hands.

Well, I mean, they are. Mike Johnson wishes secretly that he could be Andrew Tate, I think. Does he? And that's the devil inside of him. Yeah, I think, they are. I mean, the short answer is because they hate the same people. But do they really hate?

I mean, don't they hate each other too? Like, Andrew Tate. Andrew Tate hates women mostly. Andrew Tate hates women. And if you talk to andrew tate about like hey uh mr tate what do you think about the idea i'm a father uh i think that i think pornography is quite bad and my i'm my son and i have a pact where we watch each other's browser history to make sure we don't see any naughty pictures what do you think of this mr tate like andrew tate would just go wilding on his ass right i mean andrew tate would just go wildly on his ass right

i mean andrew tate would not have any well you know different cultures have different modes of operation and respect and i understand why speaker johnson or like let's say that mike johnson's son the covenant eyes son comes home from school one day and and he's like dad here's my new buddy it's tristan tate you know it's like the tristan tate of shreveport high i'm one of his g's yeah the pickup artist guy of and i mean mike johnson would lose his mind like he would send his dad is all right if i run some cam whores out of the spare bedroom is that okay dad i'm and and rightly he would lose his mind right right and so he would never allow this into his home.

But not to be corny, but like we are now not only allowing but inviting this into our home, our country. And Andrew Tate would never break bread with him because Andrew Tate would think they were the biggest pussies in the world. We can say that now, by the way. Right? I mean, and so this is the these are these are two groups that not only not only do they naturally like not mix, but actively hate one another and want to exterminate each other from the earth. And yet they're on the same. It is like having both, you know, people who are super worried about genocide, Joe and Gaza and people who are super Netanyahu, not Net both voting for trump yeah it's that that's what this is and but at bigger scale these are larger groups and i don't understand how it works and maybe the answer is it only works for trump because there's some secret sauce or there's something in a black box in trump as a political commodity that holds this stuff together that like, you know, J.D. Vance would not be able to or maybe not.

I don't know. Yeah, I mean, it's more I mean, Marco, you would think has some involvement here and you'd put him on the Mike Johnson side of this and he's tweeting out Bible verses and whatnot. He's the secretary of state. You'd think he'd have something to say about someone that is anathema to everything. Well, you know, his mouth is pretty full. It's hard for him to get a word out.
