Don't bring in firearms. We've been working in this office for decades, right? Of course, we know what to do. But they have a whole bunch of additional security set up. Then they enforce no photos, no videos. My first wife passed away. She's honored on the memorial wall. She was a foreign service officer herself.

So I wanted to take another photo to send to her mother. Got into an argument with the Customs and Border Patrol security guard who said no photos. What did she do? I explained my story to him. And he said, no, we have instructions. You are not allowed. No photos, no videos. So you weren't able to get a photograph of your life on the memorial wall?

I was not. How did this one make you feel? That was Adam Tomasek. His wife died while she was working as a foreign service officer in Haiti. She died in a car crash. The CBP is in there. The Border Patrol goons, these jackboot thugs, are rushing people out of the office as if they are a foreign army and there's been a coup in the country.

And we're in Iran or Afghanistan and our employees are given two minutes to evacuate. What is this? What is happening? And I guess in some ways there has been a coup in this country. I guess that is the most similar parallel, that we have this military force taking over the USAID office, kicking people out, illegally firing them. They're not even giving them the dignity to honor their dead wife who died while serving this country overseas. I mean, these people are despicable. All right. The administration is despicable.

And I just don't know. Regardless of what your policy opinions are about USAID, regardless about your feelings about the size of the government like this is not how you treat people it is not within the rule of law it is not humane it does not honor the service that people do for this country and honestly i know we're not better than this, but we must be better than this. And people who have checked out or who are not paying attention or who, you know, have rationalized or justified what's happening in Doge and this administration through other means need to wake up. Need to wake up. Need to wake up. This cannot be acceptable in our country and we need to push back against it. People like Adam Thomas and his wife should be honored and appreciated and treated with respect, even if we decide we're not going to fund their operations
