Ben MGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. Hey guys, Tim Miller from the Bulwark here with managing editor Sam Stein. My understanding is that Donald Trump did some crazy shit in the white house recently. Ooh, that's, that's that's new. But I haven't seen it yet. And so Sam wanted to pop on and talk to me about it. And so we're going to react live. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:00:46 What did I miss? Well, you can't, you can't set it up like, ah, it's just another day of craziness from Donald Trump. Otherwise, what would this YouTube feed be for? That's a good point. Today is a meaningful day of craziness. So Donald Trump had the president of the Philippines in the Oval Office today and he's a lot of a big cultural exchange, maybe.
Starting point is 00:01:07 They talked about the pivot to Asia and areas of agreement encountering China, things like that. They're just eating some chicken adobo, having a good laugh. And then suddenly, it just went sideways as these things often do with Donald Trump. And this is why I felt, first of all, I felt really bad. This poor president, he's in there. He's just trying to hash out a trade deal, which apparently they did eventually,
Starting point is 00:01:27 but like these things take away, take a life of their own. And Trump is asked about a variety of different subjects. And then lo and behold, of course he gets asked about Jeffrey Epstein. And what does he do? Like he makes a very quick weave pivot. He says, well, the Epstein thing, it's a witch hunt. He didn't even go.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Why don't we just watch it actually? Your Deputy Attorney General is reached out to Ghislaine Maxwell's attorney asking for a new interview. Yeah, I don't know about it, but I think it's something that sounds appropriate to do. Do you have any concern that your Deputy Attorney General, who's your former attorney, would be conducting the interview, given your relationship with Pat.
Starting point is 00:02:08 He's a very talented person. He's very smart. I didn't know that they were going to do it. I don't really follow that too much. It's sort of a witch hunt, just a continuation of the witch hunt. The witch hunt that you should be talking about is they caught President Obama absolutely cold, Tulsi Gabbard. What they did to this country in 2016, starting in 2016, but going up, all the way going up to 2020 in the election, they tried to rig the election, and they got caught.
Starting point is 00:02:39 And there should be very severe consequences for that. After what they did to me, and whether it's right or wrong, it's time to go after people. Obama's been caught directly. So people say, oh, you know, a group. It's not a group. It's Obama. His orders are on the paper.
Starting point is 00:02:56 The papers are signed. The papers came right out of their office. They sent everything to be highly classified. Well, the highly classified has been released. And what they did in 2016 and in 2020 is very criminal. It's criminal at the highest level. So that's really the things you should be talking about. I know nothing about the other, but I think it's appropriate that they do go.
Starting point is 00:03:19 From your perspective, who should the DOJ target as part of their investigation? What specific figures in the Obama administration? Well, based on what I read, and I read pretty much what you read, it would be President Obama. He started it. And Biden was there with him. And Comey was there.
Starting point is 00:03:39 And Clapper, the whole group was there. Brennan, they were all there in a room. Right here, this was the room. This is much more beautiful than it was then, but that's okay. I have nice pictures up. They came out of the vaults. They were there for 100 years.
Starting point is 00:03:54 This is much more beautiful. We have the Declaration of Independence now in the room, which wasn't here. I guess people didn't feel too good about putting it here, but I do. But you know what? If you look at those papers, they have them stone cold, and it was President Obama.
Starting point is 00:04:12 It wasn't lots of people all over the place. It was them too. But the leader of the gang was President Obama, Barack Hussein Obama. Have you heard of him? And except for the fact that he gets shielded by the press for his entire life, that's the one they... Look, he's guilty, it's not a question,
Starting point is 00:04:32 you know, I like to say, let's give it time, it's there, he's guilty. This was treason, this was every word you can think of. And it's the most unbelievable thing I think I've ever read. So you ought to take a look at that and stop talking about nonsense because this is big stuff. But this isn't like evidence or this is like proof, irrefutable proof that Obama was seditious, that Obama was trying to lead a coup. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:08 So they got like, and then we didn't play the whole thing because it's like seven minutes long, but like, he's going on about Barack Obama and he's going to arrest Barack Obama and he's going to go after his political foes and he just was too nice the first time around and he really should have gone after Hillary. And she got off easy. And Barack Obama is, I forget the word he used, but it was... Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Seditious.
Starting point is 00:05:31 He acted seditiously. And, you know, there's a coup. And it's like... He just learned that word, seditious. It did say, actually it did say, honestly, it sounded like he was like, he discovered that word yesterday and he was very proud of it. So it is a classic, uh, diversion, uh, attempt by Trump. But then you kind of think, well, that's,
Starting point is 00:05:51 it's pretty crazy to just openly talk about that stuff. Yeah. I've got a response to that. Um, which is, I don't want to see it. Let's see it. Yeah, let's see it. Barack Obama and handcuffs. We were talking earlier to Sarah about the Benny Johnson YouTube page, like four of his last nine videos are about Trump, about Obama being behind bars. That's what I said. Look, I mean, okay, you say that the Biden administration had a weaponized DOJ and blah, blah, blah. They targeted Donald Trump. Well, they went to grand juries, they provided them evidence, they found four grand juries in multiple different jurisdictions that agreed that Donald Trump
Starting point is 00:06:30 should be indicted and go to trial. And like, I don't know, if Barack Obama committed treason, then maybe instead of talking to Newsmax about it and bleeding about it and having your attorney general be a full-time Fox News panelist, maybe she should put together an indictment. Let's see it. I don't know. Let's perp walk them. What is it like John Favreau treat that just like arrest him you pussy or something? I forget what the actual words were. Then arrest him pussy. That's John Favreau, Obama's longtime speechwriter going back to
Starting point is 00:07:00 the Senate days. So it doesn't seem like he's too concerned. I mean, I don't know. You know, there's always this thing it's like, I guess I will admit like, pardon me wonders if we should even be talking about it because that's clearly the objective here is for us to talk about this and not talk with Jeffrey Epstein. And there's always this question, like do you cover the stuff that Trump says
Starting point is 00:07:20 or do you cover the stuff that Trump does? And he's not doing, he's talking about it? I yeah put up put up a show I think in this case there's a reason to talk about it because what he's doing is so Transparently an effort to get to get away from the cover-up of Epstein that we're not actually serving his purpose by talking about right now Because we're talking about how this is such a pathetic Transparent attempt to go to avoid talking about the Jeffrey Epstein cover-up Is complicit in yeah, and And people see through it, right?
Starting point is 00:07:45 And his administration is complicit in. Yeah. And everybody can see through it. Here's the thing. Here's the thing I wonder. You saw the Matt Walsh video. Did you see this, the Daily Wire guy? No.
Starting point is 00:07:53 No. He did this video kind of like, that was basically like, I want to see arrests. And I don't know, maybe this is wrong, but does it feel like we're at an inflection point? Eventually, even the most braindead, you know, smooth brained, I watched 13 hours of OAN a day, MAGA person, eventually has to be like, guys, are you going to actually ever do this? Like, you know, I mean, eventually they have to start feeling like they're being, they're being fooled here, right? I mean, right? No? First of all, yes, but you gave me a brilliant idea.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I mean, I know Will Summer follows this stuff a lot, but I don't know if he's ever sat through as an assignment, just 13 straight hours of OANN. And maybe we should just do that. I did that before you came to the Bullwark. I did, I think it was, I forget if it was 20 or 30 hours of Newsmax. No, you did not.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yes, I did Newsmax. Straight? Well, no, it was over, I went to bed. It was over the course of like, it was over the course of 36 hours. No, you do not. Yes. I did. Well, no, it was over. I went to bed. It was over the course of like it was over the course of 36 hours. I think I did 20 hours of Newsmax, something like that. 20 out of 36. Yeah, I did that. Can I turn this up? Let me divert to a quick story because it's so funny. Along these lines. This is such a diverse. But when Sean Spicer wrote his book or whatever was,, and he listed, or maybe it was Cory's
Starting point is 00:09:05 book, I forget, but one of them listed Trump's diet and what he actually ate on a regular basis and it was a nutritious diet. You wake up, it's eggs and bacon, you have some chips for snacks and then lunch is some grotesque amount of McDonald's and Diet Coke. And then you have more chips for snack and then dinner's always a really overdone steak with potatoes and ketchup, whatever. And so I had a reporter at the Daily Beast, a guy named Gideon Resnick, when this book came out.
Starting point is 00:09:31 And I turned to Gideon and I was like, look, we now have his diet. Can you just go and live on that for like seven days? And Gideon was like, sure. And so he's like, he thought about it. We put together a whole regimen of what he was going to eat and what it would look like. He couldn't have any coffee because Trump didn't have coffee. And Gideon was like starting to get really he thought about it. We put together a whole regimen of what he was going to eat and what it would look like. He couldn't have any coffee because Trump didn't have coffee. And Gideon was starting to get really panicky about it. And so he emailed a nutritionist, a professor
Starting point is 00:09:55 at Columbia University. He's like, I'm going to do this. Can you tell me, can you give your thoughts? This was for the story he's going to write. And the nutritionist wrote back. She goes, first of all, do you have any heart disease in your family? And then she was like, I would not advise doing this. And then getting comes back to me is like, can I do this for like three days? And I was like, yeah, you could
Starting point is 00:10:19 do it for three days. It's fine. I just want and then he comes back and he's like, I don't think I can do this. So he just didn't do it. Did you do it? No, because that is a real player coach That is what an editor real editor would do. First of all, I just had a kid. I'm not gonna do that Secondly, not that that matters a produce right, but I think another outlet did it by the time I was going back and forth with Gideon another outlet actually did it. All right back to the point of this bullwark takes Barack Gideon and other outlet actually did it. All right, back to the point of this bull retakes. What? Barack Hussein Obama.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Do they see through it? Yes, I have to think they see through it. I know Will Summer wrote about it, them seeing through it. I reached out to Obama's people just to see if they want to play ball. Nothing yet. I'll let you know if they do. But it's so ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:11:02 I'm available for any interviews if the former president wants to come on, particularly if he wants to do a jailhouse interview. If he gets indicted, I would be honored. How's he preparing for his imminent arrest? I wonder. Yeah, he's working out. I've got a quick aside here as well to close out. The exchange was with the president of the Philippines. Yes. Whose name is awesome. I mean. Yes. Whose name is awesome. I mean, this guy's name is awesome.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Like we just, you have to mention it. What is it? Sorry. Bong Bong Marcus. Oh yeah, I'm Bong. Bong Bong Marcus. That is an amazing name. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Can I also throw in another awesome feature of this whole thing? Yeah. Because you got Trump sitting there and this incredibly ornate golden oval office. And at one point he was like asked about something and he like, it was a total, total weave where he just suddenly got into the interior decoration of the office, even though that was not the question. And I just thought Sarah, our publisher Sarah Longwell, summarized the best when she tweeted, it looks like Caesar's palace threw up in the Oval Office. It really does. Like there's just
Starting point is 00:12:11 gold everywhere. It's hideous. All right. Are you ready for my worst take? We can put this for the worst take of the year. He likes it. Somebody did a side by side of Biden with his kind of old skin in that old office without any color behind them. And he was all green. There's a little shrubbery around. He was all washed out compared to now Trump with his orange skin and all of the gold. And I kind of think it looks better. I do. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I promise you're on this channel. I promise to our beautiful. You're losing all of your gay cred. I give radical candor on this channel. I promise you that I do. And I just, you brought it up.
Starting point is 00:12:50 I wasn't going to mention it, but I think it looks better. I think we got to get you and Sarah together on this one. You're going to trust the lesbian on the decoration? I don't think so. Anyway, long story short, I don't think Barack Obama is going to get to go to jail. And it's pretty, they're in a bad place on the abstain thing. That's the thing that is the actual thing. They're in a bad place. They know they're in a bad place. He's thrown so much chum in the water. I mean, it's just unbelievable. And, um, but that's so
Starting point is 00:13:19 funny. They're fucking it up in so many ways. It's like, you could throw, you could be like, yeah, arrest Barack Obama, but then don't tell the house to go on recess without voting. Like that just invites attention to this shit. So I don't know what they're thinking in the White House right now. Shutting down the House of Representatives until September. I guess that's a win. I guess, you know, these days when you're looking for any wins, it's a pretty big win that the Democrats have got the House to just stop doing things. Stop it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:44 For like six weeks. That's six last weeks of terrible shit. So we'll take that. win that the Democrats have got the House to just stop doing things. Stop it. Yeah. For like six weeks. That's six last weeks of terrible shit. So we'll take that. That's not true. Sam Stein. Wonderful. Thank you for watching that press conference for me and everybody else subscribe to the
Starting point is 00:13:55 feed. We'll be seeing you soon.
