Hello everyone, it's Nixalina and I'm back with another episode of my awesome series
She Said, He Said with my co-host Paul Foster.
Yo, yo.
I'm trying to... Paul Foster!
oh yeah yeah so like it just keeps happening yeah it's just roll just roll it works if it
works for you it it it it'll work for everyone else it's your show you can do whatever you want
i can't say your name anymore like yeah paul foster okay it has to have an up
anyway he's here welcome back dude it's good to be back what's our topic for today
yes it's i think it's gonna resonate with a lot of people it is the intricate world of dating apps
wow okay i don't have a lot of experience in it personally but i know but i know a lot about it
because of a lot of friends who are dating app experts yes yes yes so for me i do have a lot of
experience in it not not good not good it's not you know i'm not proud to say i have a lot of
experience in it but like for me in my 20s dating apps had originally they were like that embarrassing
thing that like your dad does yeah yeah you know like old people yeah yeah e-harmony stop yeah
and then suddenly plenty of fish happened and then young people on that then suddenly tinder
come out that would work yep and then there was this just general movement where dating apps went
from being something on your computer that was cringy and full of old people to this something
hip young yeah free app to download yep is it a dtf is it a is it a long term is it uh something
casual is there something serious um i mean you know this whoever i actually don't know who
invented tinder but what a fucking genius yeah yeah oh just super clever to tap into that swipe
mentality that instant graphic graphic gratification thank you thank you and to have
you know like because we millennials i'm a millennial i'm the older one um we like something
now now now now and to create an app a dating app that's gets you the now it's incredible so wait
what what dating apps have you or do you use i have used happen which i know is in singapore
it's um i think it's run by wcom so it happened but that's h-a-p-p-n okay silent silent e
yeah um tinder uh bumble yep which is both in um singapore i've used plenty of fish
i've used um badu in the uk okay um oh inner circle yeah as well yep
yeah i think that was pretty much it yeah and then okay okay so that's that's a that's a good
spread because as far as i know it's they're all kind of different as well yeah right they're they're
they're they're different because there are different uh mechanisms to connect yeah they're
different because you're hitting different market segments yeah uh i mean for example say bumble
you can connect with with the male can connect with the female but the female has to connect
back and instigate the conversation so the power is in the female's hands yeah whereas i'm drunk
with power yeah yeah oh no oh no just drunk just drunk and then in a circle is kind of like the
young business professionals yes um you can like things and you can message and so it's it's very
open format it is uh but again in a very in a in that young working professional market segment so
that's that's your like but not just young well not just young but you know it's supposed to be
okay professionals it is yeah professionals maybe middle age as well uh whereas you get tinder and
it's like basically fucking everyone right a free-for-all just like whatever right um go for
the life just just keep swiping and then and basically shooting fish in a barrel yeah um yeah
okay so for me they're the they're the three i've used since i moved to singapore
since i became single yeah and i said those three because those are the three i kind of know of
because of yeah so like the other ones like plenty of fish was original was the original tinder
before it happened and that it was i used to call it plenty of fucking because that's all you're
to get off it right then tinder come along first two i'll always use that one um no the first one
was a young love um and the second one i've lost count yeah i mean i but i purposely didn't meet
anyone off plenty of fish yeah yeah because i was like let's call a spade a spade yeah and by this
point i kind of exhausted dayton was exhausting for me so tinder then come along and tinder i
didn't realize because in my dating era when I was in my 20s that was when it was the thirst
of things so you didn't have that culture of being the place you fuck right yeah yeah so I
searched meticulously for a very long time thinking I would meet the one yes right no no I met some
very scary characters and um one of them threatened to sue me wow because um I wrote about him because
he wanted to because he got angry because I didn't fuck with him on the first night
italian yeah yeah and then i got an angry email saying i'd hear from his lawyer which i never did
yeah because it was all trope exactly um so tinder for me was more of a creative source of
inspiration to write yeah your work yeah rather than to find that one but it i learned the hard
way that you don't find the one on tinder okay just to put it out there people have found the
one on tinder as well right like my girlfriend of mine she met her boyfriend here him british guy
and they were together for three years they moved to europe together and that was a tinder date
right and there are other tinder stories of marriage and stuff right but we're talking
general general consensus yes is tinder is down to fuck yeah right yeah i think so it's a netflix
and chill instigation yeah yeah and that's doesn't matter what age right doesn't matter what culture
right that's just tinder is globally made a name has been the place you get sex well i i so i i'm
not on tinder i missed that whole boat because i was lucky man in relationships and uh or i would
still do it the old school way and meet people out yeah at a bar or a club or get introduced
by a mutual friend you know oh the normal good old days this crazy talk i know who who does i
go home and sit on my phone and swipe ah give a blister on your finger yeah you know what is it
repetitive strain injury callous callous uh but but having said that that's how me and joey
reconnected on bumble we reconnected on bubble because i thought oh look i'm i'm just out of a
long-term relationship i'm single i was intrigued i was intrigued by this whole dating app was it
weird for you to have missed that boat and then come into a later stage did you feel is it scary
no not really because it was just for fun anyways i knew like like if i really wanted to i could
just go out and pick up if i really wanted to yeah um you know like i have done my whole life
but i thought no let's give it a shot because i know it's actually quite fun right you do sort
through a lot very easily and you can have some nice chats and i mean it got to the point where
i was it became a more of a joke because i kept on swiping on the people i knew just to be like
hey oh you're here how you going friend and they'd be like uh wait a minute and then they would
whatsapp me or facebook message me or instagram me and ask if that's actually me right and not
someone who's catfishing yep and i was like no no that's me they're like okay cool because we
didn't know why the fuck would you be on a dating app just so confirm catfishing we're going to talk
about in another episode so stay tuned for that okay oh in case people haven't heard of that
terminology used yet um i have yeah okay well i'll save all the catfishing stuff for that episode
then but um it was cute so they double checked they'd verify with me like a like a you know your
bank token uh getting an sms to put your password in so i was like oh that's and that's when i
thought that's really nice because that's my friends looking out for me you've got so many
friends right you're not supposed to go on dating apps to say hi to all your friends well that was
the funny thing i was just saying yeah i was like oh hi no no like what the hell are you doing i'm
like oh i don't know like how's it going what are you up to or people that i at least girls that i
knew and but that's also how then i connected with with joey yeah because i'd be like oh i know her
she's pretty hot yeah i'll i'll you know so without bumble we would have met again we and
we had you can't say that we had been we had met in the last year a couple of times anyway so
so are you are you considering that ball court right because that's how we initially met where
it was literally two games against each other you know six years ago rival clubs and that was it
yeah like you know nothing more i mean yeah i was marking her and you know and all that sort of
stuff and every now and then i would get a woof of her smell oh my god i would also then like you
know drop my sweat on her and like you know where is this going uh psychological warfare on the
court but but that was it that was legit it was just opponents on the court you can't smell people
we've done this before you can't sniff people's skin it's so important though this is why you
belong in dating apps you don't do that in the real world yeah oh i wait i wait i wait a little
bit you know i wait a little bit um but yeah i think i would have eventually again but you're
right the chances would have been yeah because also we don't go to the same places exactly all
so the chances would have been very slim um but you know because of bumble we realized shit actually
we're really compatible compatible because our chatter was fucking game it was just so good
and we realized that we were you know and of course you matched so you already know by that
point that you fancy each other yeah right yeah but but that's the first thing yeah well we knew
i guess and we had a little bit of a background at least as well to back that up but if you say
we didn't at all you never know because you just match that's right and then you realize oh my god
you hear crickets yeah tumbleweed dumb as a wall you know like a block of wood no no charisma at
all no intelligence oh oh dear yeah yeah one of those ones yeah again my lack of experience i
mean you you've gone through way more than me wait wait is that should i be proud or
You should be, you should be.
Yeah, I have.
Just for all the listeners, we fist bump today.
Yeah, she gave me a big fist bump across the table.
I haven't been through, I mean, no, I have.
Let's call a spade a spade.
You go through most of my blogs on, especially on the London website.
The dates are dating app instigated.
Because as well at the time, I worked a full-time editor job.
Then I was at press events weekly.
I kind of didn't have time to date.
And then when I did have time to date and I slowly start dating just a bunch of wankers after wankers after wankers.
And I know there'll be so many girls out there that are like, I feel you.
Can't be us.
Just to clarify.
So in this scenario, when you're saying date, you're saying one first time date and you realize they're obviously a wanker.
So that's it.
Sometimes it takes two days.
But, you know.
Wankerish can take a while to come out.
Yeah.
Like, for example, I went on one date with a guy who was a producer at Sky.
I thought it was amazing.
um really just an awesome date sharing food everything was great Covent Garden ah and then
he asked to go on a second date and then he asked to make it a double date oh and then I was like
okay cool you want to see a little group going and I bought one of my single girlfriends and
then they basically when it come to the bill they were like oh we got no money what yeah so producer
from sky no money right and then my girlfriend who looked at me like I'm only fucking here because
of you are you serious had to pay we had to pay yeah and then they're like oh let's all go to
karaoke bar well we're going off for some beers and we were like are you fucking serious wow and
they were like nagging us the whole day as well it was not a good day it was like some a completely
different person was sitting in front of me and then i was like also we shared like we've shared
everything last time his mate burst out laughing and was like he does not share his food wow and
i was like oh yeah that i well he did yeah it was just it was like a yeah different human okay
really so sometimes it sounds like he did it on purpose though in a way yeah yeah yeah interesting
yeah and they're all oh so we've got no money it was fucking awful i'll never forget it that's the
only double date that i've done really in that manner yeah that was really that's kind of scary
huh actually and then i mean it's just money but still it's not cool weird i've got so i mean
I have so many bad day in stories.
But anyway, back to dating apps before I go for one all night.
Talking or so Bumble for me personally, and it's all preference.
It's much more.
I feel like there's a better quality of people on there.
But I was on all three.
So I get it.
Like I've got all of them.
But for me, when I was swiping on Bumble, there was less direction of sex, more like getting to know you.
and for me bumble's very clever with the 24 hour feature of the time right yeah because i would
swipe on a guy would match and then i would have 24 hours and then sometimes so i found myself
saying hey dude really straight away to keep the connection of course yeah because so many times
i forgot and then i'll go off and get like be at work all day go out partying and then it's gone
and i'm like i think and again correct me if i'm wrong but i think when i was playing around with
bumble you'd have to find the sweet spot of times to initiate that 24-hour window so you want to
make it like after dinner time on a nice night like you know and that gives them that night before
they go to bed that morning when they wake up that lunch time that next dinner and that time just
before that 24 hour window finishes you find that right there's a right time to get it and i hadn't
even worked out the logistics yeah there is and that's why scientific and that's why i must have
got a lot of responses evaluation to bumble figured out the sweet spots because with bumble it's it's
not just 24 hours one way it's both ways so if i say hey dude and he doesn't respond for 24 hours
the match is gone correct so it's it's time limit both sides and then once you have the hey then the
combo yes it's there yeah at least to lock in the conversation yeah and that's just a very very
clever marketing thing bumble it is but it also helps create a better because obviously tinder
you just swipe match swipe match and can talk whenever yeah but i think it's so i think that
24-hour window i mean you never know someone could have been flying someone could have been
traveling someone could have been you know in the himalayas without any connection um you know
things like that away from work yeah yeah there's things that happen yeah so i always thought maybe
like 48 hours would have been nice you know anyone listening from bumble hq 48 hours would be nice
for all the single people out there who are still looking for their soulmate
it's 72 give us some time um and so so for me bumble i like that aspect it was frustrating
when i didn't get a match but it cleverly kept me on cool right so have you used any of these
other new ones that have come out recently or anything like or not necessarily new but like
is it coffee meets bagel hinge yeah haven't used any of these i've heard hinge someone just brought
up recently right and don't know anything about it so i just i thought i'd ask you because no i've
no i've heard of coffee and bagels which i haven't used before apparently that leads to a lot of
marriage does it yeah apparently yeah yeah yeah i have a good uh one of my rugby mates and he
played mixed demo with me for a while as well i mean he met his his wife on that what a name though
as well i think it's a little bit more um legit and upfront and pure in that sense i think you
really there's a lot of things you have to put in criteria to really find your match and yeah and i
i'm not sure exactly how it works but i don't know whether i don't know whether people have
to recommend as well or something like that i'm not sure i'm not i'm not entirely sure how it
works oh like with the inner circle where you have to get invited yeah uh yeah in a circle you
have to be invited yes yes yes because my girlfriend invited me into that oh okay and i've got to be
up so this is why i haven't used any other dating apps because for me three more than enough yeah
yeah done my head in yeah i ain't got no time for this yeah and all the notifications and you
nearly miss your match i'm like fuck off uh as as nick selena is also now downloading him yeah
yeah yeah yeah and what's that coffee and coffee coffee meets bagel yes yes so hinge
hinge is a dating app for people who want to get off dating apps oh and it's working
oh so they say see that's interesting so we're wow very clever tagline as well yeah because
everyone on dating apps yeah is on it to get off dating apps yeah yeah that's it hey hinge
your marketing team smashed it say goodbye to swipes make your move by liking or commenting
on a specific photo yes that's right okay now i remember someone told me that correct correct
no lazy profiles your browsing your matching capabilities are limited yes your profiles
fall i think they showed me they looked very much like a resume right the interface looks very much
like a resume yeah yeah okay clever prompts and questions make it easy to share more about
yourself than a pic so this is encouraging people to really like rather than tinder where you can
put a photo of a cat and then your name and the age and that's it yeah this is saying like no you
you're going to fill in your profile yeah like it's legit and look it's legit databasing isn't
it okay cool well you know what you should try this yes and then maybe this could be kind of a
follow-up episode of you know you if you go we should do one where you should get a date on each
app and then do you know how many apps there are well on the ones that you're on and then and it
has to be the first date for when we say we're going to do it you're going to do it and then
we're going to and you're going to tell us all about your dates on one episode do you not just
hear me say i dated my whole of my 20s and it was disastrous off of dating apps but you have to date
to find that one oh yeah well maybe hinge maybe hinge will help you now to get you off dating
the app the dating app to get you off dating apps there you go so it's i didn't know yeah i've never
heard of him i just heard it recently yes yes yeah because it's an american app from 2012
so internet tells me so it's been around yeah i think it just hit right yeah just hit singapore
not too long ago as i heard of inner circle in london they had a lot of inner circle elite events
that i was um invited to as a blogger using inner circle here i didn't like it because for me it was
it was too professional yeah like i i don't fit in you know i've got bright green hair and i'm like
nothing like any of the the people on there but also i i really didn't like the fact that anyone
can message me yeah i i still like the fact on the others where you have to match yeah right
because my inbox like i just yeah i think my friend showed me a screenshot of her inbox before
too and it's nuts ridiculous am i and if you're a good looking successful female you're gonna get
swamped i think i read three once and i went nah not for me but i think inner circle also
kind of depends on the events that they do they do a lot of these exclusive events and stuff um
what do you call them like not wine and dine but like or meet and greets you know kind of things
where um they invite everyone over and they do cocktails or it's very sociable in that way there
were so many in london right and if if anyone from inner circle is listening and they're saying
there's a way to turn off where anyone can message you and i've got it wrong yeah you gotta pay you
gotta you gotta pay for the service and you can have all that is that fact i think so i can ask
i can ask the founder he he came out here to do the event here and i met him because i'm like i
think they bump me up to premium because they're like oh okay you're a nice guy but the plus side
of the inner circle is you get to see any the whole list of who's winked at you right that's
right yeah so there's there's a lot of transparency yes and mutual um mutual communication which which
i also agree with i like the transparency because the wink i thought was a very good way to break
break the ice someone's winked at me yeah someone's liked this oh and you can see they're
like a picture and then they don't want to send you a message or whatnot but yeah it was so it's
kind of like i guess like kind of facebook yeah yeah with the with the poke yeah which was so fun
at the beginning yeah yeah so i mean i feel like we're a bit over that but like for people who are
too shy but for me uh if someone's not got the balls to message me and just winks you're not my
kind of guy oh okay right okay I need someone to be like hey yeah I usually just get hey I love
your hair color so how about a wink and a follow-up how's it going yeah yeah that's cool
okay yeah I mean I think sometimes I was winking just to try and save that profile for myself yeah
so look back like the people you've winked at if I'm like busy like wink wink wink whatever but
i'm not yeah for me i'm a i'm a bumble girl okay i found it the easiest to use i found it the most
successful in terms of what i was looking for and um may may i ask when your last bumble date was
i haven't had a bumble day in this country oh wow i had a date in this country but that's off
facebook and this is a very good lead-in do you think with instagram and facebook dating apps
almost become redundant right almost almost yes um yes to say well facebook not so much instagram
yes if your public if your profile is public yeah and people are um seeing you on that platform
then yes you're right but again you're only really seeing i mean to a certain extent yes even on a
dating app but you're only really seeing what people want to show you yeah right whereas this
in the dating app you got to write a little bit more a little bit here and there maybe you got to
put a mix of pictures facebook because for me i use my facebook only for my friends really same
yeah right i know everyone on there but friends of friends can always comment or like or get in
touch like i put the i put a video up last night which has been shared loads of times now because
i had people were asking me to put it on public right so that they could share it and i think
It's been viewed like 2,000 times.
It's quite an interesting graph of the coronavirus by country.
I was trying to go through a whole podcast about the mention of the coronavirus.
He slipped it in.
It's so relevant, you know.
Hey, look, that's why people are now dating apps might be super lit right now
because that's the way it is, right?
No one's leaving the home.
You know, you break the ice.
You have a chat for a couple of days.
You're like, okay, this is pretty good.
be like all right now can you please check your temperature and send me a screenshot of your you
know thermometer okay you're below okay cool or just like i'll make a date with you in may yeah
when everything's kind of blown over hey virus sex on uh all the on all the porn sites is the
thing right now it's like booming yeah yeah yeah it's super nuts it's like it's it's there um just
just just a segue but i just thought it was really funny wait but but are they they genuinely tested
positive or they're fake coronavirus like the pizza delivery man or the other cop interrogation
that kind of thing so you know they're wearing masks or full hazmat suits and they're they're
going for it not that i've watched any but bullshit no no no i just saw a little article
that came up and i thought oh that's quite funny anyone who's now frantically googling
let me check no judgment no no judgment at all absolutely
hygienic sex another another episode okay when he points his temperature check at me
so you haven't had a bumble date here in singapore yet have you had a have you had a tinder or in a
circle date no okay no only one date like i said and it was on facebook so you need to you need to
try one and then let us know how it all went but how did how did the facebook date go then
since you were talking about you don't maybe nowadays you don't really need um can i can i
ask like was he uh was he already are you was he already a contact on there was he a mutual friend
he was someone i'd known of we matched on tinder oh five years ago possibly six but never met
yeah so he so there is a dating app date okay but it just was five years down the line in singapore
And it transitioned to Facebook.
Yeah.
So when we were first talking on Tinder, I was, yeah, 26, 27.
And we were just talking and then we did the whole swapping WhatsApp and Facebook.
Oh, okay.
And then just never met.
Fizzled out a few months of chit chat every day.
Okay.
And nothing.
And then, but we were Facebook friends and we were Instagram friends.
Okay.
And I don't, I don't have his number or anything.
I never got his number.
Okay.
Back.
God knows I've changed my phone so many times.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
um but then he just reached out to me on facebook oh cool okay so it is it yeah it is a tinder day
okay fair enough tinder again a hybrid of a tinder facebook social media because to be honest
now i would probably use my social media more than that's actually how also i met my my partner was
instagram i feel like okay i do feel like social media it's like you know sliding into your dms
It's a thing.
Yep, yep.
Right?
Yep, yep, yep.
So that's why it surprises me when you tell me about Hinge and Coffee Meets Bagels.
There's still so many more dating apps happening, but how many do you need?
Yeah, and I have to agree with you where if someone's very active on the Instagram or the social media,
that's a very easy way now, especially when now there's stories and there's posts.
send you can you can ig tv and live right it's everything you can do anyone could just be like
oh man so i mean you know i i get a lot of messages but mostly for just general stuff with
the work i do and everything and all that so i get a lot of messages not to do with i mean yeah
but have you seen what you post up yeah damn of course i'm 33 in may yeah yeah i'm gonna post
some more yeah and the guys are like hello i'm thirsty do you know what i find really odd is on
instagram when they just video call you what what are you you get that all the time but i've been
the meeting yeah and i'm like showing my boss and i'm like someone's just trying to video call me
that's okay i've never had anything like that before oh and it'll be like constant until i end
up saying like stop yeah wow wow that's nuts yeah and that's how that's not like oh hey hey babe how
you sometimes they say hi so please talk to me and then video call straight away posting you
like i said i know the toilet roll was a game up right okay cool you know yeah yeah so you see i
mostly get nice messages and and no one's ever tried to video call me out of the blue i mean
that's just that's just weird all the time no wow yeah and it'll be like a complete stranger and
then they'll call and call and call and i and then i've i ignore it but then my phone's if i'm in a
meeting so then I just decline it and then I'll eventually have to block if they just keep calling
me can't you just put your phone on silent well I can but then it like then they because when
it pops down here right so it'll say blah blah blah decline or join so then it keeps going
right so then I have to decline decline I just put my phone on silent and then put the phone
like that and then I'll never see anything and it doesn't vibrate doesn't do anything
my phone is my extension of my arm see wait i'm already back on instagram that's it yeah
who's trying hey who's trying to video call you now uh tell them we're busy hello
oh my goodness i think it was me mom
no but seriously for me i i feel instagram is now more of a app where people i have so many like
you know i think i have to agree with you on that because they can like your picture they can
comment then they can dm you and you can you can have a chat right if you want yeah and then you
can kind of figure and then you can check their profile and you can be like oh hello and you can
check things from however far it goes back and i mean that's it's basically a portfolio isn't it
it's yeah and you get you get a gauge of a personality yeah yeah yeah right the only
shitty thing is they put a profile on private and you have to actually follow them to see the stuff
yeah then then it's like oh buddy can everyone have a public profile just come on now we stalkers
need access all right yeah and if you're on instagram and you're on private that doesn't
make any sense whatsoever for just um for those who don't like dating apps and that's still a
group of people oh yep yep right people refuse to go on dating apps um which i got to the point
my 20s i was like it just ain't worth it yeah because it's very consuming it's time consuming
um so basically i decided that i would take it upon myself to host an event called fuck tinder
yes it's the sex in singapore city singles party okay okay okay completely um inclusive yeah and
i'm working you have to be single to come to this party well ideally yes i know unless you're a
couple and you uh okay yeah yeah yeah if you swing or it's like a traffic light party so traffic
light party i'm like a no judgment zone so i'm gonna throw a big fuck tinder singles party here
in singapore in the summer once the virus says sure sure yeah gone far not not a fuck virus
patient what was the porn yeah yeah no no what the fuck was that well keep your hair green
because like in the traffic light that means you're a girl i'm the traffic light is so done
yeah mine is more come into a room hang out there'll be like probably pop-up stalls of
vibrators and things to play with nice sex in singapore city cocktail okay get drunk take your
tinder date home the real life version yeah right real life yeah so what's the people have to
register for this probably yeah i might do it i don't want to i'm not in it to earn money it's
literally to i want people because all i hear from my single girls is how hard the dating life
is in singapore so i mean what we have to do like a call to action it has to be like a process where
are we screening are we doing something where and i say we now because you know we're talking
about it even though i have nothing to do with this listeners out there i have zero to do this
i'm like we just jumping in here you know yeah i hadn't really thought about that because i you
can't just have it and then anyone rocks up because then it defeats the purpose of like
you've got lots of single girlfriends who are looking for a guy but then all the guys that
come are all dickheads or just have nothing to give i feel i want it to be inclusive and i feel
sometimes on paper you're the worst match possible when you meet in person sure but there still has
to be a criteria of people wanting to come you still have to screen people to a certain extent
okay there has to be more than that um yeah but then everyone's got different tastes
true but you still have to have there has to be some parameters there has to be some parameters
talk to me people
you tell me
yeah exactly
this is what we need
people to tell us
but I mean it should be
like you should be able
to like
it'd be cool if
in order for them to
you know
be invited for this
right
they have to video call
you on Instagram
and have a chat with you
and if they pass that
they get to come
I mean
no okay
send you
send you
Poe is now sacked
from the podcast
yeah
put a story up
and tag you yeah and in that story just a selfie story or something explaining why you'd want to
come to a party like this that's cool something like this yeah and that generates a whole thing
of like you know then the powers in my hand and then you have it and you can put on a highlight
on your you can literally put it on a highlight you can reshare it because they've tagged you
yeah and then you put that all on a highlight thing on your instagram or highlight story
so people can see exactly people can already see who might be coming but then that's that's that's
the first but then there's a pre that's like a dating app i almost don't want people to i like
you know be there you know present and be there and like it doesn't yeah i don't that's a great
option and i might go down that route but then everyone is vetting everyone again so you might
will be swiping or it has to be something like i think i can vet them i can definitely vet them
myself but whether i make it public yeah yeah right at the minimum yes you you have to be a
little bit of a judge and jury to a certain extent like the millionaire matchmaker oh there you go
not millionaires yes and in singapore just a matchmaker might not even get there
just get people drunk maker yeah singapore social it's so easy you know we i think you're
onto something i think you can do it but you might have to at least have um at least for the first
one to to create a certain standard and benchmark as well that's a good point to leave it on so you
guys can get in touch would you rather be able to vet who comes or would you rather go no next
don't show us we just want to open format yeah we'll come and we'll see we're having the cocktails
we're gonna come like let me know what you'd prefer are you are you over screening people
do you think it should be more organic or are you like i'm only coming to that singles party if i
know there's people there that has my interest it's a good point and there has to be something
like you know you can only talk to someone maybe if you've got the same drink right you've gone
and you bought the drink or you got the drink and you can only then talk to someone when you
had the same drink well i could do two different types of sex in singapore city cocktails yeah
different colors yeah different colors or just different alcohol or even just different alcohols
as long as maybe the same alcohol so they're drinking a gin or a whiskey or vodka to match
that because then you know oh you both like whiskey that that's at least one connection or
you both drunk that's a connection you both can't see straight you need to have the same drink and
i think those are conversation starters as well um little things like this to to break the ice
He's full of ideas.
I am, I am.
And you've got three strikes.
If you fuck about too much at the event,
if you get three strikes, you get kicked out.
Who's kicking him out?
Me?
Yeah.
I'll be on my sixth strike before I even be half hour in.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Nick Salinas had to leave her own event
because she is struck out.
Don't worry, Paul Foster's here to take over.
Oh, what are the chances?
And then he whips out a microphone.
Here's one I bought earlier.
Yeah.
Ready for her to leave.
on that note we've definitely gone off a tangent because we've gone from dating apps to my party
which is that's good though because we're talking about the whole dating yeah the integral world of
dating it's called fuck tinder yeah yeah yeah it's a rebellion against the dating app world
so tinder should be happy that you chose them to fuck to fuck because yeah it could have been
fuck hinge fuck coffee and bagels bumble but you chose fuck tinder which i think most of us could
say was probably the the real catalyst yeah of of of dating apps yeah a hundred percent and
probably the i'm gonna say worst in averted commas you can't say the worst reputation for
just banging and nothing else yeah which is fine if that's what you're looking for oh for sure yeah
i mean great times yeah yeah absolutely nothing nothing against that no all no um but if you're
trying to find that one and be in a relationship, then yes.
You have other apps you can look to use.
And hey, guys, share your stories with us, actually.
We would love to hear nightmare stories, success stories,
anything that you've experienced or your friends have experienced,
funny stories, whatever it is.
It'd be cool to share with us.
DM myself or Nick Salina.
and you know
I think there'll be
one point
I think we should
have an episode
at one point
where we're literally
just telling stories
of people
dating app disasters
or dating app
success stories
whatever
just shit that has
happened to you
or someone you know
and we'll have an episode
where we're just telling
the funniest
or the worst
of the lot
and anonymous
unless they want
to be acknowledged
we can have a shout out
or you can send it in
anonymously
I like it
that's one of our
next apps
for sure
done
okay and on that note
this is the end
of the episode
yeah slide into
our DMs baby
Just don't video call me, all right?
Oh, yeah, no, she wants it.
She wants that all the time.
Thank you, Paul.
