Starting point is 00:00:00 Sinha. Pal! What's up, guys? It's Chris and Semisipino, joined by Mr. Michael Boost himself. Hello, hello. Today we're continuing our journey with Arcade, and I'm super excited. I hope you are, too. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Wow. Whoa. That was intense. It's falling away. God, this show is 10 out of 10 at every freaking turn. That was badass. Is this so? Are you kidding me right now?
Starting point is 00:00:37 And we're only on episode three. We're only on episode three. What? What? All right, all right. I don't even know where to start, but this is freaking badass. 10 out of 10. I was like, I getting so choked up and I wanted to cry.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And I'm like, don't do it. Don't do it. It's animation. It's animation. Don't cry. Wow. I got so choked up. That was so powerful.
Starting point is 00:00:59 That was so intense. Dude, the animation on this thing is insane. It's so freaking good. I want to drop the F one. We're at the end of the video, right? We can do that on YouTube. They'll beep it otherwise. I don't want to go, beep.
Starting point is 00:01:16 I want to be like, oh, my God. It's so fucking good. Yeah. You said it. Oh, my God. Thanks Michael for saying it for me. It is so freaking good that I'm like, I don't want to talk to you at all. But this, the animation, everything about this show, is absolutely fire on point and just keeps getting better and better,
Starting point is 00:01:35 which is, like, really hard to do, I feel like. Yeah, to continue talking about it, the realism of the animation makes it feel like you're watching actual people. And I think that, like, really helps drive home the weight of this show. Yeah. It almost feels, like, it's not quite uncanny valley, but it's, like, almost there where they are so realistic in their movements and their mannerisms and they're emoting with their faces,
Starting point is 00:01:58 that you can't help but be dragged in and then everything else around it. The story, okay, can we talk about how they, like, jukeed us because we really thought, at the end of the last episode, we were like, okay, this is how the sisters get divided, Vye's going to get dragged up to the city. Twist, poor twist.
Starting point is 00:02:16 She's going to turn into, like, a fighter for them. And then powder is going to be fighting for the lanes. It turned out to be that way, but not in the way we expected. Yeah. Like the twist to set that. up. So good. So good. So good. Here we were thinking that they were going to save each other and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:02:34 I don't know how they start fighting each other. I don't know how they're going to get this payoff. And then oh my God. Can I just talk about how upset I am though? Was it really necessary to kill our three main characters? I know. Our boys. I mean actually not even three.
Starting point is 00:02:50 They killed five of them. Five of our main, like top ones. The guard lady. Oh yeah. Yeah. She's out. And then his best Oh, yep, yep, yep, yep. But she was like, she was kind of a big deal, the Gardley. I don't know what her name is, but. She's like a captain or something like that.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah, she was a big deal in this. Now she's gone. She's gone. The leader's gone. His best friend's gone. The two boys are gone. Like, and I'm like, it's so crazy because we learn to love them so quickly. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Where normally I feel like you would have kept them even longer to hurt us more. Yeah. It hurt just as bad, especially because the last one, we had that. conversation where it's like, hey, if something happens to them, their blood's on your hands. I know. And then the fact that she hit Powder for the first time and then got the blood, you know, I'm like, and now she can't even go back to apologize to her sister. So now Powder's going to hold a grudge because she got grabbed out by the guardsman.
Starting point is 00:03:47 She was going back. Mother Teresa. That's always how it happens. You know, they're going to go back. And then something happens. And the misunderstanding. Oh, my God. I am so, like, she.
Starting point is 00:03:58 shocked it took me this long to watch it but i'm so glad i get to watch it with you and with you guys because oh my god i powder there's the crying oh my god i have never felt so sad and so much pain from an animation like animated or animation anything like whatever you want to call this cartoon what like i have never felt that much pain watching a crying scene in something like this, where I almost cried. My eyes got watered, I got choked up, and I just felt so bad. Like, they're doing
Starting point is 00:04:33 such a good job. Such a good job. The way they made her, like, that suffer pain of like cry. I don't even know. Like, how, whoa. The emotive animation is so phenomenal. And I want to know how much, like, studying, how much of it was, like,
Starting point is 00:04:49 mocap reference, how much of, because again, you'll see characters cry in animation. And, like, it's just the tears coming down the eyes, but they're still talking through it. But like twice, twice in this one episode, we had instances of like characters ugly crying and scream crying and like that is such a rawness
Starting point is 00:05:05 of emotion translated through an animated character. I don't know how they did it that good though. I'm just blown away. I'm just blown away. 100%. The music that goes with is just so on point and I want to wrap this up because I want to get to the next one. Yes. Since we have that time. He-he-he-he-he. Spoiler.
