Sina.
Pound.
What's up guys?
It's Chris and Semis Pinot, joined by Mr. Bombostick, Michael Boos.
Yeah, to get one in.
Hello, hello.
I can't.
I can't.
Season one, episode four, Arcade, and I cannot keep talking to you.
So we're going to jump right into it.
Oh, shoot.
Just logged your head.
Yes or no.
Oh, hey.
Oh, my gosh.
She's in prison.
Yep, she's been locked away in prison this entire time.
Who the hell are you?
We finally see her and you cut us off?
I figured that's what they were going to do.
If I'm honest, I had a sneaking suspicion that they were going to do the Vi-reveal and cut us off.
Boy, oh my God.
I've been dying to see her this whole thing.
Powder is mental.
Yes, no, she's insane.
She's off her rocker.
I know.
And I love it.
It's so great.
Right.
She's unpredictable.
She's insane.
Yeah.
She's living up to her new name as a jinx.
She is a jinx.
She is still a jinx.
She is still a jinx.
She is still a very much a jinks.
Which I appreciate and like, she's definitely like a Joker, Harley Quinn, like, vibes are shining hard right now because she just gives zero Fs about anything.
She's like, ha, la, no.
And I'm like, oh my God, child, you need a doctor.
I love her just like blinking in and out of like existing.
when she's just on her own.
Yeah.
She, like, it scrambles,
and then suddenly she's closer to the camera,
and then suddenly she's farther away.
How sad is it that she made our friends?
I know.
I know.
And she's so haunted by it.
I like what they do,
where she's having her, like, visions
and you get the, like, graffiti faces
and everything like that.
I think that's a clever little stylistic choice.
Because, like, whenever you're portraying mental illness,
you know, there's a certain degree of, like,
do you leave it up to the character depiction
to depict it, or do you actually take the,
opportunity to stylistically present their own or what's going on in their head.
And so I think I like this version where she's having these like shadow visions and she
like has snippets.
And you can tell her snippets of these memories have been corrupted in some way, whether
that's her own trauma or that's her boss whispering in her ear.
But you can tell because she was remembering all these happy memories with Vi when she
first had that traumatic flashback.
And then Vi's face kept getting scratched out by like the evil like graffiti version or like the
trauma version of Vi.
And I think that's a really,
really interesting way
to kind of present the way
happy memories can be mutated
or transmuted by trauma.
Yeah.
I think it's very,
very cool.
Don't disagree on anything
you just said right now.
When we first saw,
when we first saw the girl
she was fighting that looked like her sister,
immediately I knew it wasn't her.
Like I thought for a second,
maybe a second,
but then afterwards I was like,
there's no way she'd be that week.
There's no way.
No, there's no way.
She was too weak.
And I'm like, that's not her.
But at first,
so I was like, oh my God, it's her.
And then when she was like, oh, I was like, it's not her.
Um, that was a good fake out, though.
Was it a good fake out.
I'm like, it's too soon.
And I really enjoy the, the establishing of jinx as a new character versus powder.
You know, powder, we have sweet, lovable, innocent.
And now jinks, we have this kind of cracked out crazy, you know, a little trauma baby.
And I did a really good job.
Again, the way they do these characterizations and things like that, they did a really good job.
They're doing a really good job.
And I'm enjoying the political intrigue that's being.
set up with Chase on the council.
That's very interesting.
I think it's a good thing
that he's on the council now personally.
I think he's making really wise
and safe decisions and he's
really taking advice and like listening
paying attention.
Absolutely. Which I love.
I was a little bit worried
that he might go the route
of I'm just a scientist, let's just go.
I know. I was worried that he'd be pushed
too many times. But he's like, he's
responded really well every time
he's met an obstacle. And I think that's what
makes Jace so great. And like
the right person to be on the council for the heckstack stuff.
And I think I'm like, I'm liking that they're keeping him humble and they're keeping him wise and
holding back versus just go, go, go.
Because you know, you feel the want and the desire for him to just be like, pull the lug,
just do it.
You know, and for him to like have self control over all that is like, it's nice to see.
It's a good balance, especially when you have somebody like, Miss Pepper who's like going
just apeshit.
I mean powder.
Oh, did I say pepper again?
You did say pepper again.
Mother, Teresa.
Whatever.
Pepper is a cute name to.
I agree.
I am powder.
Yeah, powder.
You know what I'm talking about if I'm saying pepper, like, my bad.
I am interested to see because you initially were suspicious of Victor, and I was giving
him the benefit of the doubt, but now that there seems to be a clock on Victor's failing health.
Are you feeling?
I'm wondering if he's going to come back later on and be that person that's like, we need
to push the science, we need to push it now, we got to get it out there.
And if that's going to drive it.
a rift between him and Jace.
I mean, it might.
It might.
I'm enjoying the ride, and I'm going to wait to see what happens in the next one.
But you guys, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
