Sina.
It is midnight, y'all.
We're continuing forward with Arcane, Season 2, Episode 7,
pretend like it's the first time.
Here we go.
Oh, shit.
She still has the...
She had all of that this whole time?
She kept it.
What does that mean?
What are the implications of that?
It means she's the reason Hect-Tex-Tek wasn't able to take hold.
She's the thing holding it back
Right
So basically what I think it's implying
Is that like she held on to all of the Hextech crystals
And either J. Scott obliterated
In the explosion
Because she held onto them
Like that technology became lost
They weren't able to replicate it
They didn't have anybody who had the knowledge of it
And so she's just been hanging on to the old
Like Hextech raw ruins
And the world has become a better place
because Hextech wasn't put into motion, motion, you know?
Yeah, I wonder if now knowing the knowledge that she does about those.
She'll try to rewind time.
Yeah, or if she'll try and use it in a different way.
Or if she's just like, you know what, I'm not going to.
Yeah.
But it's just fascinating because, like, they were spending all that time with those funky little shreds of crystal.
Yeah.
And she had a whole bunch just sitting in their drawer.
I'm sure she knew exactly what it was.
Yeah.
You know, I'm going to assume that Echo was like, oh, you know, I found this at the place
where a Vi got killed that day, blah, blah, this is what it is.
If she really wanted to share that information, she would have disclosed it right then and there.
But the fact that she kept it hidden suggests that she doesn't want to.
Gotcha.
That's what I think.
Okay.
Either that or, you know, now she's going to create that.
That just made me ask a whole bunch of questions.
Yeah.
Like,
I'm just like,
you had that,
you just held out that all time.
I don't think she's going to create Hextech
because that last moment is her putting the pendant he gave her into the drawer
and then sliding it closed.
Yeah,
she's closing the chapter.
Yeah, she's like,
that's it.
That's done.
Yeah.
We don't need this.
This is crazy.
I have seen the echo from the other side where this stuff is a reality.
And like,
as handsome and hunky as he looked in is like post-apocalyptic.
painted up garb.
It didn't look like he was living a great life.
No.
Like he is here in his emerald green suit
as we go to an inventors party.
I'm sad for Heimerdinger.
I know.
Yeah, he's gone.
Yeah, no, but you know what?
He had a good life.
And like he said, you know, in those past
however many days, months,
whatever that he spent with Echo,
he came to life in a way that he never had before.
So, I mean, obviously,
I would love Heimerdinger to stay.
But I think if that is the end,
for him, that is a nice
ending for him. The mysterious
mage person has got
to be, who do you think it is?
I think we've talked about this before, but
I think... I thought it was Jays. Yeah, me too.
I think it's like future Jace, and that's
why we're not seeing him, and he's kind of having
to close the loop or something. Yes, he's got
to be careful with how he guides him.
As a huge fan of the video game, infamous,
I'm convinced
Jays, because that's basically
who Cole fights in the end.
He fights himself?
Yeah, Kessler is himself from the future.
Ah.
Yeah.
And it looks kind of like that with the outfit at all.
Fagely similar.
Very similar.
I mean, they do kind of imply or like try and guide us to thinking that maybe it's like Victor whose consciousness is just now like a manifestation of the chaos of the arcane or something like that.
Because he was wearing similar robes and walking around with the staff.
But the staff looks a little bit different.
and obviously
it feels like it's leaning into
it being Jace
because like how could it not be
right? Like now we've got
time travel, we've got
Echo has a thing that actually can warp him
back in time by four seconds
which again sick call back to the game
I like that a lot. Oh
I didn't realize it was in the game. Yeah yeah yeah we talked
about this a little bit like the way they
incorporate the in-game hero
powers into these characters
that's cool. Echo has an ability to rewind
time a little bit so he can go back to like health and things like that so I do
appreciate them kind of going further into that rather than just his fight on the
bridge where he's like visualizing and then like rewinding time and then
visualizing another attack and things like that but now that we've created time travel
and we've shown that it's possible and based off of Jace's ruin to travel back in time
it would make sense that Jace now has the ability to like just travel through
eras my head is spinning well yeah yeah
Yeah, because also it's like, okay, now that we've introduced this thing that Echo can do with the time travel and whatnot, like, how will this play into the story?
Because as we know with the show, nothing just happens for like no reason, just for shit.
Well, I would imagine kind of like Hextech, it's a technology you do not want to revive because it's very dangerous.
And in the wrong hands, it could lead to absurd consequences.
Well, I think that it's going to come into play at like a climactic moment.
Like Galaxy Quest
Yes, in the next two
Everlose, like in Galaxy Quest, you know?
I agree, I agree, I agree, I think.
You'll be like, oh, we could just turn back time
by four seconds and everything will be okay.
I know what to do.
Yeah.
You know, I'm waiting for that moment.
What a stunning visual episode, by the way.
Oh, my God, yeah.
Yeah.
Like, all, just the, I don't know what the word is,
but I want to say cacophony,
but that's you preserve for sound usually.
Yeah.
But just like all the colors, you know.
The visual, no.
boys, so to speak.
The chaos.
Yeah.
The beautiful chaos that is visually represented.
Yeah, it's awesome.
I loved it, man.
But, okay, so what Dreams May Come had that sort of visual to it.
Right.
If you've never seen it, it's like, it all takes place in, like, heaven.
And so you're seeing, like, a bunch of cascading colors everywhere.
And it's got that sort of vibe.
That's why I was like, oh, this is crazy.
I do love, like, what they do with kind of the beautiful disaster look of it.
Because obviously, there's, like, some sort of mass.
massive explosion because all the like lines are going out in the same direction from a central point.
And everything's kind of crumbling, but it looks gorgeous at the same time.
And when he gets up to the top of that very topmost building and finds, I don't know, himself ensconced in the arcane.
And you just have like this beautiful almost like Miyazaki-esque cloud cover all around in the blue sky.
Yeah.
I just, I love what they've kind of done with the arcane where it makes things beautiful and like a natural chaotic sort of.
way rather than like a structured sort of way it's a cool juxtaposition well the neat thing about that
in parallel with echo is that it's also kind of beautiful yeah and peaceful yeah you know it's like it's
also kind of alright to just leave that you know yeah i mean chaos can be beautiful that's a thing and like
i mean if you think about just things happening in nature like they're just occurring naturally
and they're beautiful in their own way because they're wild and
and not controlled, you know?
And so that's kind of like the arcane
where it's just like wild and beautiful
but dangerous as well.
Right. So what's next?
Yeah, right?
Jesus.
We took a detour.
Like the whole episode was a detour.
Well, yeah, because like, okay,
so what's next is now, you know,
Jace was reintroduced last episode.
So we saw him come back.
And so now we have an understanding
as to why Jase is such a weirdo.
He's done what he's done.
Yeah, because I was just having this conversation.
conversation with Steph today and she was like what the heck man like what happened with jays like
why did he just come and and just destroy everything like a weirdo i'm like i know and so now we see why
and then like last couple episodes i was like where's echo we're like where's hymerdinger so now
we know so everyone's going to come together i think for the last two episodes he's on a vendetta
he's on a mission he's got his little time change machine
And then we know that, like, Vi and Jinks are also on some kind of a vendetta, but like how that all comes together.
And if we're actually leading up to where they all come together and they work as one and things go well,
or if we're going to continue the trend of this show where everybody does their own thing trying to save the world on their own
and that it just messes everything up in a cascading wall of chaos.
Yeah.
The arcane isn't done.
Both things are true.
Yeah.
Both realities are true.
Everything can exist at the same time.
Exactly.
I wonder as well, you know, now that Echo has had this experience with a more calm, sane version of powder slash jinx.
I can heal you.
Yeah.
I can fix you.
How is that going to work when he goes back to his world?
Is there going to be a glimmer of love that he has for her, that he's going to want to then help her?
Or will he just be like, no, you're a completely different person.
No, it's going to be like the end of the family man with Nicholas Cage.
He goes chase her down at the airport.
He's like, we had two kids and they were beautiful.
It's going to end with them in a coffee shop at the airport.
Okay.
All right, you guys, thanks so much for hanging out.
I'm Jabby Kui.
This is.
Michael Boose.
Achara Cook.
Peace out.
