Starting point is 00:00:00 Senna. How! What's going on, y'all? We are continuing forward with Arcane Season 2, Episode 8. This one is called Kling is a cycle, and it's only a brutally short 40 minutes. Oh, God, no. I mean, the episodes have typically been around that time.
Starting point is 00:00:14 Yeah. But it's just like, but it's so close to the end. They pack a lot. I need a four-hour episode. Okay. I'm just joking. Here we go. Oh, Victor's back.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Is he? Some part of him is. But it was like more metaphorically split. How are we done? How are we done in one more? What? What? Huh?
Starting point is 00:00:44 That went by so quickly. I have a super dumb question. There are no dumb questions. Yes, there is. Go ahead. Why is Victor doing this? Why is he having her back? So he, I think, if I'm interpreting it right,
Starting point is 00:00:59 has, you know, touched the arcane, expanded his consciousness, and he believes that, like, the hive mind, the arcane, releasing it is the future for humanity. Okay. So, in order to facilitate that future, he needs to get access to the arcane anomaly underneath the hex case. Right. And she's the need to do that. Gotcha. Okay. To get him there.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Yeah. Okay. Is what he's doing. That flew by me, and I'm like, wait, why is this a pairing? that's happening because he's like they don't seem like they would go together. No. Right. Did you catch all that? Vaguely and then forgot and then like Michael saying that.
Starting point is 00:01:38 I'm like, yeah, that's absolutely true. Yeah. He's ultimately gone the like full farthest. We need an entire rebirth in the image that I perceive because I can perceive beyond all consciousness. Yeah. He's outside of us. Where he's become the like malevolent Messiah. sort of idea. But is he still able
Starting point is 00:02:00 to like hold on to that foresight and that objective if he's like morphed into this wolf guy now? I don't know if he Yeah. I mean like we watch what I would say is the good part of him in the form of his companion in the void. Get erased.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Yeah. Erased. Right. Being taken away. In the pursuit of this greater objective. Which I think is is him fully like losing his sense of self and his sense of morality for the sake of like this chaotic arcane thing that is unfeeling and inevitable. Yeah, I mean, you see that with the colors that they use as well, like the fact that
Starting point is 00:02:37 whatever it is that is being injected to him is black. It's like all of the light and color disappeared from his world. Echo was not in this episode. Echo was not in this episode. No. No. So everything is going to come together, I guess, in a very beautiful, perfect way in the final episode.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I don't know how. Yeah. You know, I said the same thing when watching. Watching Breaking Bad, the last episode, I was like, I have no idea how you resolve this. Oh, that's, okay. You did it. You nailed it out. So they got some kind of, I'm just, okay, I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Yeah. It feels like they keep building up more and more where it's like, how, you know. I agree. I agree. The last like two episodes have felt like a lot of build. I mean, we get one that's basically a vignette that has almost no consequence on the main storyline, except that Echo now has this time turner ability. And then we have this episode.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I was waiting for someone to say it. Yeah. I mean, like, yeah, like, come on. It's basically the same idea. Yeah. But the other thing is, like, you know, this whole episode was entirely like, okay, everybody's kind of like back. Caitlin and Vire back together in a big way. Jinks is still doing jinks.
Starting point is 00:03:51 But in like a, I don't know. Where is she? Where she goes? Back to the undercity? I don't like it. I feel like she might martyr herself. That's what I thought too. Did she actually have a thing in hand?
Starting point is 00:04:06 Or was that just in her mind? I couldn't tell. Like they played around with it and it seemed like she did. And then it seemed like it was in her mind. And then, yeah, it disappeared. Well, it wouldn't be the first time she's hallucinated something. That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Yeah. It's just so sad what she said. Like, you know, there is no version of me that's good. And like, we know that there is. We know there is. We know that she exists. We literally saw a whole episode with it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:31 And she has this beautiful relationship with Echo. Echo has to save her. Echo has to save her. Echo has to be the one to save her. The whole love scene was cool. I don't know what we showed of that in this reaction just because it's YouTube and et cetera. But I don't know that I'd be able to do that if I thought I just lost my sister. You know, like as much as I want that, it's just like the placement of it was like,
Starting point is 00:04:55 I think... I'm not... I'm not criticizing it. I'm just going... Right, right, right. If I was Vi... I feel you. I think that is how Vi copes in a lot of ways
Starting point is 00:05:06 because we've had, at least with the montage with her after she tied her hair black and like the fighting, like there were a couple of cuts, I think, that had her with random companions and things like that. I think Vi seeks that as like a coping mechanism for whatever. she's going through. Caitlin was like, yo, I was with someone and Vy's like,
Starting point is 00:05:29 yeah, I got so many hoes on the side. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't even, I lost track of how many I was with during the, we were on a break, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I didn't even process that until you just said it. Yeah, yeah. Fies over here, like, I assumed, like, come on, girl. Yeah, like you're hot. Clearly, you would.
Starting point is 00:05:48 So you felt bad for the, the ginger lady? I did. I did. See, I had to learn how to let go of that after watching female rom-com movies because that always happens every time it always always happens there's always some person
Starting point is 00:06:02 getting left behind that cares so much or it gets cheated on it's like the first most noteworthy one is the notebook you know there was a woman just to keep the bed warm like how awful is that and then cape lanchett in brad pitt in benjamin button yeah she's married right and then she cheats on her husband with brad pitt but we as the audience are like no no no but they're She's cheating on Brad Pitt with her husband. What if they're soulmates? Yeah, I get it. So, yeah, like, from our perspective,
Starting point is 00:06:28 she was not cheating on the ginger lady. She's been cheating on Vi with the ginger lady. No, I get that. And like obviously, obviously, I love Vi and Caitlin together, right? It's just that when the other person is really nice, I just feel bad. Obviously, I want Vi and Caitlin to be together. I want them all to be together.
Starting point is 00:06:53 I can still feel bad for little jinge. And the arcane can be peaceful. Yeah, if we just let Victor make everyone a hive mind. Yeah, we're all together anyway. Everyone will understand it will be peace on earth. Might as well embrace it. Yeah. I will say, though, their relationship is, you know, borderline toxic.
Starting point is 00:07:11 You know? Yeah. It's a, it's... I thought you liked toxic. I do. I love it. Yeah. Pointing it out.
Starting point is 00:07:18 I love that you're very self-aware. Yeah, yeah, yeah. As long as you know. as long as you know who you are. That speaks to me. Yeah. That fight was with Victor, like, perfectly showed you, like, how could you possibly fight that? No, I agree.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Like, he had him predicted at every turn. Yeah. The only way they were able to defeat them was with the combined use of their own arcane abilities, which obviously not everyone has. Yeah. And they got him within an inch of their lives just fighting one. And you're expecting to take on a whole army of them plus the Noxians? But you know, you got the Galaxy Quest thing.
Starting point is 00:07:53 And so just, you got the time turner. That's how it's going to come in to the way. Yeah, Echo's just going to, like, pull that thing like a rip cord over and over again until we get it. It's like edge of tomorrow, you know? Yeah, that's exactly. You die repeat. Yeah. You guys, looking forward to the final episode, sad, bittersweet, but excited.
Starting point is 00:08:11 I'm Jabby Kui. This is Michael Boose. Achara Cook. Peace out.
