Sinha. Pals.
What's up guys? It's Kristen Stubzapino.
Hello, hello. Welcome to Date Night.
You meet one-on-one. Let's go.
I'm watching Captain America.
The First Avenger.
Super excited. Let's get excited.
Trouble sleeping?
70 years.
You here with a mission, sir?
I am.
Trying to get me back in the world.
Trying to save it.
Captain America, first off, I didn't know he was scrawny.
Second, I didn't know he had all those conditions.
Third, I didn't know he was human.
I think I thought Captain American was like Superman, who could fly and was from another
world, which technically he's from another world, but he's like, human.
You know, he came from a whole other, like, time frame.
70 years.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, I'm so annoyed.
I really wanted him and Peggy to.
dance. Like I really, really, really wanted them to have like their little date night and have
that moment. I'm also pissed off that his best friend, Bucky, ended up getting the cut. That
annoyed me pretty badly. I just wanted them to go into this day and him to have like, be like,
oh yeah, here's her friend. And I wanted the friend to be kind of like funky looking or like,
I don't know. I thought it was going to be like a cute, fun little ending that was just funny.
but instead, no, they didn't want to give us that, did they?
Wow.
I love that.
I really, really love that they made him this tiny, fragile, like, guy
who's constantly getting beat up, but still has, like, those cojones, you know?
Like, you have those balls of, like, so tough and brave and, like, admirable and respectable.
Like, but now it makes sense, too, because it's like, okay, Captain America, yes, sir.
Army.
all right military branch
that's why he has so much structure
that makes a whole lot of sense
I'm actually really loving
seeing everything
like all these characters
I guess like my brain
I don't know
I never thought of them as weak
I always just automatically just
was like okay they've always been like
powerful strong blah blah blah blah blah
but there's so much more to the stories
that I'm realizing that I'm like oh my gosh
Like, what?
And everybody so far from Marvel, they're normal people.
I didn't know that.
And then they just kind of had something happen to them,
and they became, like, cool badasses.
Like, they just had this awesome destiny.
So far, I still, Iron Man's still my favorite.
I think my least favorite so far is the Hulk.
Like, I liked it.
But I think right now that's my favorite,
and I think, like, our least favorite.
So in order, I would say, Iron Man, Thor,
Captain America and the Hulk
As of right now
That is my order of
Which films I like the best
And I honestly did not think I was going to be a fan of Iron Man
I didn't think so
I thought I was going to just be like oh whatever
But I saw Iron Man for some reason
And the Hulk were the only ones that were like somewhat like
Human Human
But that was wrong
So so wrong
So many different levels
The action in this
I liked it
I did think that there were some parts that were a little slow for me.
Other than that, I thought it was great.
I really liked the music.
I liked the buildup.
But it was interesting because I feel like Captain America was like,
he's always just was a very consistently brave, which I liked.
But I wish there was a little bit more of a story around him like they've done with like Iron Man as well as like Thor and stuff like that.
because I feel like the moment he became strong.
It was kind of funny.
I did like how they put him into the showbism
and became the military's, like, theater or whatever you call it.
But I wish there was a little bit more
because I felt like it went straight,
a little too hard, like straight into the action.
So it was just like action, action, action.
And then it kind of lost like the cool story dynamic
that was like the story that was happening.
That was just my opinion.
I liked it.
But I think I liked, I really was enjoying the beginning of it and I really enjoyed like the middle.
And then the ending, I think I felt like it just kind of started zooming by a little too quickly.
And it kind of lost my attention for a second just because I felt like all of a sudden he was just like this guy who was just like taking over and like, you know, destroying everything.
Creating his own army was like boom, boom, boom, boom.
But there wasn't dialogue and I think I'm a sucker for more dialogue.
But other than that, I think they casted Captain American very well.
I think Chris Evans, he did a really great job.
I want to know how they made him so little, like so scrawny.
That's what I would like to know.
I wouldn't mind seeing the making of this one because it was very captivating.
Stanley, Dr. Abraham, I loved his character so much.
I loved the other guys, like Dr. Abraham and Mr. Phillips.
I liked their interaction
and I liked how he was
like pushing his guy who's all big
and strong, the typical like hero.
And then all of a sudden, Dr.
Abraham's like,
no. The grenade scene
I think is definitely my
favorite when he threw it
out there and then Captain America
was the only one to go
and like cover it.
I thought that was a killer scene.
And I just love how this, like, I just
really like the idea of this little tiny
being so brave and wanting to so badly be a part of the army and you know help his country I really like that and it's like back in that time I know even from like when my grandfather was growing up as well like that you know you hear these stories of how those like I know some older people who were not able to join the military due to disabilities or due to certain like sicknesses and whatnot how hard it was for them
not to be a part of that because it was like the trend you know it was also like the thing to do
to be honored and like respected and also you just you just wanted so badly to be with your
brothers and your friends to to stand on the same line and fight for justice that is really
hard when you get left behind like that just the way captain america was in the beginning
that is a real thing and then it's like and then i did also appreciate the scene and
especially coming from a military background,
I did really appreciate the scene
where it showed, you know, they're in the movie theater
and you see those people who disrespect those
who have given their lives to protect us
and to serve the country
and how they're being so disrespectful.
And, you know, they showed the woman in their crying
because she probably had, like, her son, husband
who joined the military,
who also, you know, like,
there's a good chance.
they're not going to come back.
I love that they had that scene and showed our little Captain America to be.
I love that no matter what he still stood up to that guy and was just like, hey, show some respect.
And you can tell everybody in there was like super uncomfortable.
And that's a hard one too because there are people still to the day that do not have any
respect for those who are in the military.
And I get like being against war, I get being against weapons and stuff like that.
However, I do believe in standing by those and respecting those who have put their lives on the line to protect us and to serve us because it's not easy, especially because they're leaving, they're leaving their homes, their families behind, you know, and sometimes I feel like people don't realize how much goes into that.
And so for if you, you know, if you're anyone who's ever served the military on any branch, thank you so much for serving.
I absolutely like appreciate you guys
And I have all the respect in the world for you
Because that is not an easy job
It is heartbreaking, it is hard
And it can be mentally and physically draining
So thank you for surveying
I think this film was done very well
I kind of want more of Captain America
I'm not sure like my full thoughts on him just yet
Other than okay he is very righteous
He is very like strong but he's
He's also very like your typical all-American boy.
You know, like he's just the goody good to the max.
And I think I just want more dialogue to get to know him even more on another level than just this.
Because I feel like this, I didn't get too much from him.
I don't know.
You guys let me know what you think.
It's different because I feel like with Thor and even, I feel like even with the Hulk, okay, and Ironman.
Like I feel like their storyline were a little bit stronger because you go to.
spend more time with them and their character and love them interacting with people.
Like you have Iron Man who he's just like a cocky little shit who is also like, you know,
he wants the best for everything, but he's just also a little bit of narcissists.
But funny, like really, really funny.
Then you have the Hulk and he is just sweet as can bebe until he turns into the Hulk.
And then he turns into like, you know, he has anger management problems.
But overall he's just very likable.
He is likable.
Then you have Thor.
And Thor is just hilarious.
I think maybe, you know what it is?
I think Thor and Iron Man, their storylines were just like really funny and just kind of like you can't help but love it.
And then the Hulk and Captain America are a little more on the, a little flatter.
But Captain America, I just want more from him.
Like I want more.
Like I loved the whole beginning.
And I did like the end when they, you know, how he came back 70 years later.
But at the same time I hate it.
But there was something where I'm just like, it kind of lost me a little bit.
just because I wanted more of the story.
Sue me, whatever.
Some of you might hate this, but I liked it.
I liked it.
I think I'm getting anxious and I just want to know
and I want to see or I want to skip or I want to cheat.
So badly with the marvels,
like all the different like films we have to come.
And this one, I don't know why this one like feels like
I'm like a little bit irritated with it.
Mostly because I liked it.
And then there was parts of it that I'm like,
I'm irritated because I'm like, I don't feel like I was, it was ready to end.
And like I said, there was something missing.
I wanted more dialogue and I wanted more interaction also with the villain.
I'm not sure if I liked the villain and the red face thing.
That might have kind of threw me off a little bit.
I wish that they would have made that a little bit more gross looking like I originally thought when I first saw him.
I feel like they could have made him a lot more scary.
That's just my thoughts.
I don't know.
You guys, don't shoot the messenger.
I'm trying to figure it out.
Be nice, be easy on me.
I love Captain America.
I think his character, I can't wait to see how it grows and how he changes in the new
world, especially because he's coming from 70 years in the future.
And I'm excited to see what happens there.
I am bummed out they didn't get their dance in like a little moment of happily ever after.
I wish they would have had that moment and then, you know, maybe like separate.
But they didn't.
So whatever.
You guys let me know what you thought in the comment zone.
Fill me in on anything you think I need to know or be aware of.
Please no spoilers because, like I said, I have not seen any of these and I'm going through the process in order and we'll get there.
And I'm going to continue to let you know my thoughts.
but still, Iron Man's still my favorite.
And so Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and then The Hulk.
So far, as of right now, and as we continue to go, I'm pretty sure, I don't know, I'm not, I won't say that.
My opinion might change.
Who knows?
I'm open.
