Starting point is 00:01:01 Oh, hello. I've been waiting for this moment. For Deadpool? Yeah. Is Spider-Man? Excuse you, what? Okay, so we just had some food, and I was like, oh, my God, Kristen. I'm so excited because we finally got to Deadpool, and she's like, what's Deadpool?
Starting point is 00:01:19 I'm like, oh, my God, you're not even ready. You're not even prepared for Deadpool. Nope. Here we go, you guys. Welcome back. You know the deal. It's us, Achara, Kristen. We're going to watch Deadpool.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Here we go. Take your trash with you. This one's wild. I felt like it was completely its own thing. Yes, it is very much its own thing. I wanted you to watch X-Men and everything before because initially I was like, maybe I could just throw you into Deadpool,
Starting point is 00:01:53 and it would be fine because it really does feel like its own thing. It does. It doesn't feel like it's a part of really X-Man, but like you see the, you understand it's part of it. Yeah, and it, like, exists in that world. Yeah. And I feel like it's like a little joke as well, because like I said to you, like when you were trying to put together everything
Starting point is 00:02:14 and you're like, wait, but in the other movie he was like this, I'm like, just let it go. Because like they reference it, right? Like with the cake and, you know, with how his character looked in Wolverine Origins. It is, but it isn't. Like, they just made a completely new backstory for him, and that's fine. They still kind of kept to what it was, but, like, changed it up a bit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I think. He's just wild. He is wild. He is so wild. But, like, on steroids, wild. And he's, like, you saw a love story. I saw sociopaths who need to be locked up, like, psycho lovers. Maybe I just like red flags.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I don't know, but. It was cute, okay? It was cute, and it was gross. I liked his friend and the bar guy, the bartender. Oh, yeah, his bartender friend was great. But I also love the blind lady. Yeah, there were some great characters here. It was interesting, too, because, like, we have been watching so much of the X-Men, you know, back to back.
Starting point is 00:03:19 I kind of feel like Colossus is one of those characters where every single movie they just change who plays him. and then suddenly in this movie he's Russian. Yeah, I thought about that too. And that one I gave up on it. I was like, I just know who he is. So that's all that matters. Yeah, yeah. I gave up all that way.
Starting point is 00:03:38 You were like, I love him. You were like, he's. Yeah, I'm like, yes, Kristen, he is. He just sounds different. It's okay. Don't worry about it. I almost said in the beginning when he was like, oh, stupid mutants.
Starting point is 00:03:50 I was like, oh, mutant. And then I was like, let it be, let it be because this looks like a Spider-Man thing. And I know he's not Spider-Man. He's a bad guy version of Spider-Man. And then all of a sudden I was like, nope, no, I was right. I was right. It's like if Spider-Man had a potty mouth and like killed people.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Yeah. He's wild and it's Ryan Reynolds at his best. Like I've always enjoyed Ryan Reynolds for his particular brand of just his comedy. Like he's really, he talks a lot. He's chatty. He makes like really crass jokes. And he's got that. kind of like deadpan sarcastic delivery which I really really enjoy and so
Starting point is 00:04:30 anytime where I'm watching a comedy movie with him I'm just like I'm I'm here I'm strapped in I'm enjoying the ride it's just so different from a lot of the superhero fare that we have because it's self-aware makes fun of itself and then it it really goes there because if you think about it you know these guys are out there like taking care of business or whatever. It's not, realistically, it's not going to be pretty, you know. They're probably going to be messing people up, but we're so used to seeing superhero movies where it's like, there's literally no repercussions for anything that they're doing. Buildings get exploded, but
Starting point is 00:05:10 nobody dies, and people get thrown around, but there's no blood. Whereas here, it's like, no, we're literally just going to do it, but it's going to be so gross as well. I didn't feel like we really had a good guy, though. A good guy? I didn't feel like there was a superhero here. No. Like, Deadpool's a superhero? I did not get... He's a gray character. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Gray area. He's gray. He's not. That I will agree. Yeah. I don't see. I can't cast him as a hero. Give him time.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Give him time. As of right now, he's not a hero in my eyes. He's like, he's fighting with his own kind. They're having tantrums. He's got, like, he's got, like, a moral comfort. Though, they established that very early with the kid where he's like, you know, I'm out here, I'm taking these jobs, I only deal with scumbags. And maybe he deals with them in a way that is aggressive. More than aggressive.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Yeah. But, you know, he deals with that guy. And here's the, yes, he has a moral compass. He's a loony, man. He's a loony. He's a loony. He's like the Joker. And we love, I love the Joker.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I do too. The Joker is like my favorite villain ever. I would love to see him and the Joker together. That would be funny. You might have to wait a long time because that's DC and this is Marvel. But as you said, I'm just saying. Anything is possible. Anything's possible.
Starting point is 00:06:36 But if I was, if we were to do, I think they would be very similar. And the interaction between them would be probably hysterical. I think where Deadpool would draw the line is I don't think he would enjoy killing innocent people. but, yeah, if it was bad guys, he'd be like... No, no, I'm just saying their interaction Would be fun. Would be funny, but to have them on the opposite sides. Oh, gosh, I mean.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Like, I wouldn't put them on the same team. No. Because the Joker has no feelings. He doesn't care about anything. Well, he cares, but, like, you know. We know. Yeah, yeah, you know. You know.
Starting point is 00:07:14 You know. You know. You know, you know. I just think it would be funny to see them interact with each other, and maybe they're, like, friends. And then later they were like, what are you doing over there? No, what are you doing over there? What?
Starting point is 00:07:26 And it's like, and then they kind of like fight over like why they're fighting which side or something. I don't know. It could happen. It could be funny. Anyway, I had fun. Did you have fun? I had fun. Yeah, we had fun.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Yeah. I had a, I feel like I was like, don't add to this, Kristen. Oh, oh. There was a few times. I was like, don't add to this madness. Do not jump it. Do not, you're jumping in, but like, don't jump it. Like, I, because I'm going to get in trouble.
Starting point is 00:07:58 I feel like this was just setting me up for almost, like, almost failure. Like, almost canceling yourself? Oh, 100% in more ways than one by jumping on his bandwagon and, like, just going off with it. And I was like, don't do it. Calm down. I felt like I was, I feel like in this film, I was a lot, like, I was holding back in my head going like, this like don't jump don't don't take the bait don't take the bait don't take the bait don't get too crazy with it i i did a great job you did great i did not take the bait and then i had a real
Starting point is 00:08:34 innocent moment i it was innocent i promised it was all innocent and then it hit me while i was doing it because you start laughing sometimes you have to do the motions in order to figure out left and right Well, because I was, yeah, you know what? I'm not even going to talk about that, but I was innocent for the entire thing. And then all of a sudden, I was like, don't take the bait. Don't even touch you with a 10-foot pole. Let it be. You touch you.
Starting point is 00:09:03 It's doing its own thing. And I need to just shut up. All right, guys, this has been Deadpool. Thank you so much for joining us. We will see you for the next one. I'm a Chara Kirk. This is. Kristen Steves Pino and Wow, Wow.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Wow, wow, wow, wow. Wow.
