Starting point is 00:00:00 Sina. Pals. Hey there. Welcome back to our Fast and Furious channel. This is what's been consuming us. And we just finished six. Loved it. We thought five was the best, but I don't know.
Starting point is 00:00:11 Six is up there. I don't know. So I'm so excited for seven. By the way, Steph Sabrault, Kristen, Steph, and Zepino. But remember, your favorite drivers. This is Steph. That's Kristen. I'm Kristen.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Chris 10. K. 10. 10. Forget the last name because you guys are messing me up with Steph. This is Steph. Yeah, let's just do no last names. I'm K. 10.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Kristen. Kristen. Kristen stuff. Okay. Let's jump into it. Yeah, we came a long way. I see you again. I was wondering how they were going to do this.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Same. Because, so I knew he had died while making this. I think you just found out today, right? That it was while making this one. Yeah. I knew obviously to call off or had passed. That's why I kept thinking, like, I didn't know every scene. Like, if they were going to, if it was going to be that scene or not.
Starting point is 00:01:10 So I was, I knew because I remember everybody talking about it. Right, me too. And I was, and I just remember going, what? I was like, I can't, like, okay, so I knew of Fast and Furious, but I didn't know, like, really anything about it other than they drive fast cars. And they were like, yeah, like he was, so he was basically doing Fast and Furious in real life and ended up crashing and dying. So going into this, I did know that he does die and he was in the middle of filming, filming Fast and Furious. That I did know.
Starting point is 00:01:45 And I knew it was coming up because I just remember that time frame and I remember everybody in school was talking about it. But I was so curious to see how they were going to pull this off. right because it was in the middle so they did a really good job really good job and now I'm like oh my gosh if I was watching this oh my gosh I would have lost it when I when it hurt when it happened and this came out and then I oh my God I would die because right now I'm so heartbroken I know sad over that and it almost like just takes over the whole film right it's like the whole film is about that which it should be loki it's not always sad to lose the character and know that they're not going to be moving forward because you're
Starting point is 00:02:32 obsessed with the character but Paul Walker is it Paul as an actor it's like it's awesome and as a person a father you know a friend a family member to be to lose your life that as young as he was is so devastating I remember I remember it being like one of those moments where people were like people were super but what like this is awful and I remember the fast family being like very affected by it obviously and the way they did this was so beautiful it was like oh my god pillar it was that was i know it's like hard to talk about anything else in the movie i know i i'm like yeah that got me too i don't think it's going to be the same i know because He's the second main character.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Yeah. And he's like, brings such. He brings things to life for sure. Right. He's the guy we started with. Yeah. He was like our guy. He was the most interesting art.
Starting point is 00:03:40 He was like, I remember when we first started. We're like, who is this freaking cute? He's a cop. He's cute as hell. He had charisma, everything. And it's, and I think like he definitely, like the world lost him way too young. Yeah. And even though that's all, we're kind of.
Starting point is 00:03:56 like talking about it and we're getting lost in it. Right. You know what I mean? Because they dedicated to him. It's the seven movie with him. But we dedicated to him and it's almost like they're like, you know, let's end it all about him. Yeah, because even like the most stress, other than that one dawn almost death at the end, the most stressful moments involved him, I think probably because we know like somewhere
Starting point is 00:04:20 in between this movie it was probably going to happen. and that added so much tension to those moments like when he was running off of the RV, the truck. Yeah. I was like, is this how they're going to do it? That would be crazy, but I didn't know how much footage they got. So it really added to the drama of the movie too. But yeah, I really love how it ended.
Starting point is 00:04:43 I really loved the film. It was so fun. It gets crazier and crazier each movie. And I love it. It's like any other film can't pull off the stuff that they do. in these movies like it's so outrage it's it's so wild but I'm like yes do more I need more of this uh-huh I agree with all that I have a hard time talking once I'm sad I know I struggle with that but no this film was definitely really fun you really felt the emphasis like on the bonds
Starting point is 00:05:13 between the the brotherhood of the all like the characters right this is actually the first time though we've been introduced to a character that didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. And that was the girl who's the hacker. Oh, really? Yeah. Like, she didn't really leave.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Like, this is the first time. I did not have, like, like, okay, Mr. Nobody, okay? The main cop guy, I guess I loved him. He made his mark. Ramsey, okay. Yeah, and I feel like, Ramsey, I was like, she was like, she was great.
Starting point is 00:05:45 She was okay. But she wasn't really memorable. I did love that we went to Tokyo. And we saw Sean. and we saw like the whole Japan car in that moment. And it was like, it was subtle, like that subtle moment of looking at the, you know, those guys. Because I did like that. I do like them.
Starting point is 00:06:05 And I thought it was a fun little, like, touch. I know. But I'm like, I don't know, man. Like, I feel like we lost three lives again. Like, I feel like we lost Han and them like again. I know. It was like another like hit for us. And then on top of that, now we lost Brian.
Starting point is 00:06:23 And Brian. And the fact. that Brian is actually a real loss. Awful. It makes this film, like, super heavy. Right. But also very beautiful. Yeah, like really carries that family legacy in real life as well as on screen, which is so
Starting point is 00:06:39 unique and tragic, but artistically beautiful. And what's so cool about being in the film industry is that when you are creating something like this and getting to work with these people over years and years, that bond is so crazy, and they've created something that so many people, including ourselves, love. Yeah. But, yeah, I liked Ramsey's character. I think she could have had more to do. I'm seeing Gal Gadot.
Starting point is 00:07:05 We saw her name in the opening credits, but it says scenes deleted. That's interesting. I wonder what those scenes were. Interesting. Yeah. But I liked going back to Tokyo. It was a really well-rounded film. Like, I feel like we did so much in it.
Starting point is 00:07:19 And the ending was just very, very satisfying and tragic. another great direction by James Juan. It was nuts. I think the Dubai scenes were probably my favorite, like the car going through three different buildings. That was Abu Dhabi. Yeah. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:07:37 I said, I probably messed you up because I was like, oh, well, time to leave Dubai. Oh, yeah. I meant to say Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi scenes were probably my favorite because they were so, we instantly went into spy mode. Like it felt like Mission Impossible when you're at,
Starting point is 00:07:51 or James Vaughn when you're at a party looking all, like swagalicious and then you have to just like screw everything up yeah and then the car scene was insane like how do you even think about that how some of these scenes i'm like who is thinking about this is it the writer or is there is it just a stunt coordinator it's a bunch of guys going you know like a group of people a group of people not just guys but they're like you know it'd be really cool if we just wait building the building i thought for a second we're going to build a building turn around go building building down and like do like a staircase and that's how we were going to get down but we didn't do that yeah the stunts though like the crazy especially with that one
Starting point is 00:08:32 guy what's his I wonder what his oh yeah uh Tony Jha Tony Jha bro yeah who are you the next like you Tony Jahn what was actor stunts producer yeah absolutely phenomenal he's a badass really he was really good to the point where I'm like run I don't like this guy like he needs to die already because we're not going to win like he gives me the whole like we have no hope where he's going to destroy
Starting point is 00:09:00 us yeah why aren't we using him more I guess he's a big overseat more I think we need to bring him out and really utilize him like a lot more in films because he's like he's Jackie Chan a highly working actor but I feel like he should be a bigger deal. I feel like he should be way
Starting point is 00:09:20 bigger deal than he is. I don't think he's giving enough credit. He needs a new agent. His agent's not doing their job. Well, yeah. Because if they were, sure, this is a great film that he got thrown into, but I feel like he should be getting a lot more roles. Yeah, the actors
Starting point is 00:09:36 that can do stunt work too is crazy. Like last film, the best fighter was Joe Taslim. Yeah. And I've seen him in Warrior, and I've seen him in Oh, yeah, Mortal Kombat, or I don't know if I ever watch it. I knew he was in that.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Yeah, I've seen him in Warrior. He's one of the main characters. I love him, and you could tell he does his own stunts in it. And last movie in six, he was, like, such a highlight for me. But Tony Jaw in this one, it's like, you have to shout him out. Like, holy, he barely had any dialogue, but the way he was fighting was crazy. I'm shocked Alana didn't come into play a little bit more on this one. But Hobbs, do you that guy's a big.
Starting point is 00:10:18 He is. I thought we lost him and my heart dropped. I know. I'm not going to lie. Like my heart, like I love to make fun of him, but I also love to praise him. I love him now. Like, yes, I love to make fun of him, love to praise him, but I also like, I just love him. Like he's come like a long way to where you just, you, you like him.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Right. And so when I thought he sacrificed his life and died, my heart sunk. I know. Because he just said by to his daughter. I would just have been devastated. Okay. Well, that was awesome. And so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:10:54 It was well done. Very well done. Right. I think they worked with what they had very well, which makes it more impressive. Right. Knowing that you had a character pass during the making, that is the hard. I feel like that is the hardest thing somebody, like a group of people can possibly do is to lose somebody in the middle of making a film because a lot of it you know the odds are you don't want to finish it you don't
Starting point is 00:11:21 right continue you want to stop but to do that it almost you're wondering because what's the right decision yeah because you're also don't you're like you feel I feel like there's that conflict of feeling like oh this is insensitive but then there's another part of you where you're like no we're going to give this justice you know we're going to finish this for them right and allow them to live out their legacy right and let's finish it and to finish it and actually do that I think that is the hardest thing anyone could do whether actors like the entire team actors set design filmers editors all of it yeah I know for a fact when the editors were throwing all this footage together at the end you know they were hurting you know yeah yeah I'm
Starting point is 00:12:08 sure it was just absolutely awful but I think they just did such a great job with it and RIP Paul Walker He was such a great character Such a great actor So cool So awful I mean it's It's interesting because we were not done with him yet
Starting point is 00:12:27 We I feel like we just got our toes wet a little And Because obviously he's going to be back And if I was a criminal And they locked me up the way they locked up Oh you're talking about Oh sorry sorry I'm talking about Derek Yeah Jason Statham
Starting point is 00:12:43 Decker. Deckerd. Decker Shaw. Sorry. Decker Shaw is still alive and well. He's coming back. Yeah. I feel like, I was talking about Decker. Yeah. All I'm saying is, I feel like if I was locked up the way he did and they went all out and out of their way for, I would feel like a legend. They're going to Harley Quinn. He's going to become Harley Quinn. I'd feel so honored. Yeah. Okay. Well done. I loved it. I love this franchise. I am so on board. I am a part of the family. all I need is a corona.
Starting point is 00:13:14 We should get a corona for the next one. We should to like give Paul. Yeah. Paul Walker. Proper send off. You know, last thing I want to say, okay, so she is pregnant with a little girl. I'm wondering what route they were originally going to go with that. Because you know, there was like for her to have like another child and like they had to have had a plan for the next one in order to make that decision.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Yeah, I wonder what the original plan was. And we're never going to get that. That's the saddest part. We're never going to get what would have been. But it's interesting. It will be very interesting to see where we go from here. Yeah. And which route they decided to take and navigate through such a massive loss and change.
