Starting point is 00:00:00 Senna. Pals. We are watching Rush Hour 2. Just got done watching Rush Hour 1. If you haven't already watched that, check out our reaction to that one. That way you're all caught up. Shall we get into it? Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:00:11 Here we go. That blooper reel was hysterical. I love that. I really like this one. I feel like it did, like, live up to the first one. Because a lot of time sequels, they don't hit as much. They're just like, oh, okay. They made it for the sake of money and stuff.
Starting point is 00:00:29 money and stuff. But this one, I actually, I felt like it did really well. It stayed very true to the first one. I like that it was only like a three-day time difference. So it was literally right after the last one. And I'm sure that the next one will be right after that one in New York, I'm guessing. Oh my gosh. But that's a smart way to do it just because like then you don't have to explain like how they met up again and stuff like that. You're like, no, they were just together. Duh. Yeah. It takes out a lot of like the exposition at the beginning where you can. just be like, yeah, they're on vacation. I had a sneaking suspicion that was how this one was going to go when he's like, all right, I'm going to Shanghai for my vacation.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Like, the next one's going to be immediately after. Like, I was waiting for it to start with them, like, touching down in Hong Kong. Okay, so you thought it was just going to be right immediately. Yeah, yeah. I do like how they moved around a bunch. Like, they brought it back to L.A. Like, we started in Hong Kong. Las Vegas is where we ended.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Yeah. Bounced around a bunch. Yeah. They're like, let's get some more look at Langell. in there. I did like that. I was, because I thought we were going to stay over in Hong Kong like the whole time. Me too. Because I was like, okay, because it's a Hong Kong villain. We have that whole department. But then, you know, they had to put in the, they had to make sure it came back to Carter's land as well. So LAPD forever. And then a quick trick to Vegas where nobody has
Starting point is 00:01:51 jurisdiction, you know, good times, good times. Legally speaking, how do we handle jurisdiction here? because he's an LAPD cop and a Hong Kong inspector in Las Vegas. Luckily, they did bring in that Secret Service lady. You're right, you're right. She said, I'm going to give, you're on assignment with us. She said something like that at one point. I still don't trust her. I never will.
Starting point is 00:02:14 I'm a secret service. I don't know. I feel like, look at my little badge. Yeah. That's just suspicious. Like, how do you have that ready to go? Right. Like if you're an undercover operative, you don't have a badge anywhere on your body.
Starting point is 00:02:26 what are you doing with it and you're like intimate that's ridiculous i don't know and then she just like i get that she was on her but like if you're that good at lying like how do i know that you're not lying other times you know i don't trust you got to trust her loyalty is to this country it's to this country she she came in at the last minute she saved them she made sure they didn't get like turned into swiss cheese when they walked out on the loading bay, you know? Okay, okay. I'll see.
Starting point is 00:02:59 She was an asset. She was an asset. We'll see. We might see her in New York. They're going to New York. She's going to New York. She's going to New York. She'll just pop up.
Starting point is 00:03:06 It'll be the villain, maybe. I will say the one thing I was, like, a little confused about it was like, why is the Secret Service here? Why isn't it the FBI? But I realize the Secret Service is actually a branch of the Treasury Department. And if it's got to do with, like, counterfeit bills and things like that, then it's secret service. Okay. It took me a second to also realize how they afforded the Versace stuff. I was like, oh, wait, because he had all that stack of cash.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Because I was like, that would be so expensive, like, so expensive. So I was like, how did they just do that? And I was like, oh, that fake money that they got. The biggest unanswered question, how did Chris Tucker survive that gunshot? Yeah, that they did not explain. That was point blank in the chest. And I'm going to have to go back and rewatch because I don't know if it, like, missed. to maybe she was off angle or something like that,
Starting point is 00:03:54 but like it went straight through the carpet and carpet at point blank is not thick enough to stop a bullet. It's that alligator, a crocodile, whatever it is. Now we all have to get one of those because those are apparently bulletproof. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Alligators. Be cruising around with a little vest. Made out of Kevlar. That's the thing. We hope you had a great time. As always, subscribe, bell icon, like the video. YouTube likes it when you hope those buttons. And then you'll know when we come back
Starting point is 00:04:21 for another reaction. But in the meantime, I'm Michael Boost. This is... Haley C. Have a great day, y'all.
