Sena.
Pal.
What's up guys?
It's Chris and Stephisipino, joined by Ms. Vivian Day.
What's up?
Hey, girl!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Today we are watching Society of the Snow,
and we're just going to jump right into it
because that's how we do it.
They were looking to see one of others.
Oh.
Yeah, they used to...
I was not expecting any of that.
No.
This film is wild.
Imagine surviving that.
That would be like the roughest thing.
And it's interesting that they say like, okay, some may, some call it a miracle.
Some call it hell.
A tragedy.
A hell.
Whatever you want to call it.
And honestly, it's both.
It really is.
For me, it's such a good reminder of like, oh, that's how humans have made it this long.
Now we're still here to this day is because there's something inside of us that just can't give up.
There's something in us that's calling us to keep going, even when it seems impossible, even when it seems hopeless.
There's just that miracle of a spark that won't let us stop.
So thank goodness for that and for people like this who show us what it is to be a human and to keep going forward and to keep surviving.
because until we make that decision to stop, like, we keep going, right?
Our bodies keep going for us.
And that's...
This is really inspirational.
I think a lot of films and stories like this, if you were to ever be in a situation
like that, it almost gives you hope, right?
To hold on to and to, like, have these stories to use to fight for yourself.
When things like this do happen in our life, it's a huge reminder.
Even watching this, right?
And knowing that this had happened to people.
people. It's a reminder to ourselves. Like, don't take life for granted. Every second, every moment of our
life is precious and valuable. You know, we're so spoiled that we forget sometimes. We get a,
we get trapped in our own little, our problems and our excuses and perspective is everything.
If something like that ever happened to me, I would never be the same. I feel like just like,
it's weird. Our main guy. I thought it was going to, I thought he was going to make it because he was our
our main character, you know, but I wonder if he just, like, wrote a diary or something.
Yeah, remember he used it or something? Yeah. I think what he said at the end, his last words and
stuff when he started talking about, like, I'm 20, he's only 20. They're all so young, man.
Almost all of them were like babies. And I like how he was like, oh, I want to dance. There's things
I want to do. And this night you're just like, oh, this is horrible. Life hadn't been starting.
You know, like, yeah, it hasn't.
And it was just beginning.
But it was also a miracle and so cool is I love that all of them got together and they
worked together as a team because they were a team, right?
At the end of the day.
But a lot of the times we don't have that kind of bond between people where I feel like
if these were a bunch of strangers.
Oh, every man for itself.
Right?
Like I feel like they would have been destroying one another because it's like, okay, I don't
have any ties to you where, okay, some of these people they weren't that familiar with.
like they said in the beginning, but they still had a familiar sense or vibe about them where they
felt like they already knew each other, right? Because they're on this team, whatever. And through
this experience, they became a family. And every single one of them worked to their strengths.
And I love how they uplift each other. I love how they were there for each other. They were so
kind and loving in the hardest times. And I feel like that's really hard to do in a situation like
that. And not many people would have passed with flying colors the way they did. And that just
speaks volumes on their character and who they are as a as a as a individual. It just shows.
Because your true colors come out in a crisis, right? When when shit hits the fan, that's when
you really know who somebody is. Every single one of these guys, even the least like hearts
of gold, man. They showed up for each other nonstop. Yeah.
They would not let each other fall or lose hope.
They didn't sit there and for one second go, oh, okay, you're not going to make it.
Or even judging.
No.
There was not really.
I mean, I know there was the whole like getting food.
That's a hard one, especially when it's against your religion.
Like it's against the religion.
It's against, like.
That was one of my favorite parts in the movie when I forgot his name,
but he was one of the ones that were injured pretty much the whole time.
he was up high, anyway, when he was talking about his faith and how he doesn't see the same
God from before, but the God he sees is in the people's hands, in their abilities.
And that, to me, is the true sense of, like, God or the divine or what have you.
Like, we have these real-life examples of miraculous, like, almost magical things that you bring,
I bring, like we all bring as individuals, you know, that is what is worthy of being believed in
and working hard for.
Man, every single one of them had such amazing skills and they were so brilliant.
This was a tough one for me to like take in because it was just, I'm like, give these men a break.
Give these guys a break and give the, like, this is you, you're killing me.
It's like right when they're settled in.
They're having like a moment and shit just hits.
the van and it's just like again and again and i wonder i don't think all of them would have made it but i feel
like if we would have started walking sooner but then it's like it's hard that's a hard one to call right
because you have shelter you have security and then i mean i guess like actually well at the end too though
they had they had they had the waterproof stuff to like get them through where before they wouldn't
have so they probably wouldn't have even made it as far as they are because they didn't have enough
equipment or man i'm just i'm impressed for me it was a really good
good mirror going through the journey where I'm like I really would have given up like 18 times
already like how do they find the will it's incredible because heat I can do cold like I feel like
my brain would just give up so fast in the cold yeah like my tolerance for that I I feel like
my survival brain would just be like good night yeah I would my body would have shut down
there's no way I would have been able to survive that even thrive like some of them were able to like totally get used to it and thrive and make it through it's nuts personally I think it's underrated it has a 7.8 out of 10 I think it's underrated I think that this was done very well and I feel like it was like soul crushing but also is so inspirational and inspiring and wow I thought I would cry more
I did too, but I feel like I felt it in my chest and my throat more than anything.
Yeah, where you almost just had to like hang on and not cry so that they could survive.
It's just mind-blowing that this happens, this has happened several times.
And I love that the message, there's no greater love than what, which gives one life for our friend, for one's friends.
I feel like, oh my God, it's like we needed that pick me up.
and that boost of like, we're going.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Like, we're not, we're not planning any more games.
All right, we needed that.
And that was like the last draw.
And wow.
I wonder if they were waiting to before moving out and trying to find help because there are so
many injured people.
Well, a lot of them were injured.
So I wondered if they, that's why they didn't go.
Probably because, I mean, you're stronger in numbers, right?
When you work as a team, the more there are, the stronger you.
normally are as well. And I can't even imagine going through something like that.
This makeup was amazing. This makeup was insane. The music was great. The peeling
skin. Yeah. The special effects that they had, the makeup artist and stuff, well done. Well done.
And I think the shots that they used and the way they filmed this was absolutely stunning.
Beautiful. And I really liked the way they did everything. I loved the scene where we finally had
plane break in half and you saw all the different like limbs breaking and everything like that it was so
real and i've never seen like a crash in a film like that super realistic it was very realistic and i'm
shocked that they took the time to go through those beats versus just going boom boom and we're
done yeah and then waking up like we normally like we normally see yeah like they went the
extra mile let's show you the physics of exactly what what would go down yeah
Honestly, I appreciated that, but it made me hurt even more and made things, like, you couldn't help, but your heart just, I fell out of my chest.
The loss of it was...
Yeah, I've almost had a lost words, honestly, for this film.
Because we're always so removed from that stuff, you know?
Like you said, in movies, it's quick, but this is like...
Don't get spoiled in your tragedies.
Don't get spoiled. No, I think, yeah.
I don't know. Do you have anything else?
I don't know what else to say.
This was really well done.
A thought out, well executed.
I really want to watch it behind the scenes.
Society of the Snow, I think the knowing they have behind the scenes is definitely a thing that if I don't do it here, I'm definitely going to do that on my own time.
So let us know because I'm only going to give you a few days to decide that.
And then Vivian and I were just going for it solo.
That's right.
I have a watch party without you.
Yeah, because I think this one, this one is like that type of film that you're like, I need to see it.
I want to know.
I want to know more about it.
How many awards this got?
I hope it got awards.
You guys, let us let us know.
Yeah.
If we're missing something, put it in the comments.
Let us know your thoughts.
I don't have anything else I want to say about it, Vivian.
What an amazing story of survival.
Yeah, brutal.
So inspiring in a brutal, brutal, brutal way.
Brutal.
and it's like the feeling of just knowing you're saved
and like seeing your family.
And after that long, I would have been like, no, they're dead.
Could you imagine like your loved one coming back from the dead
and you already like, maybe they probably guarantee they've already buried them?
Guarantee they did, right?
Two months, yeah.
They probably would have.
And then just to see, oh my God, I couldn't even imagine.
Anyways, you guys, hit that subscribe button for me, please.
