Kristen and Vivian react to Sonic the Hedgehog, a live-action adaptation of the popular video game franchise. Sina Pals. What's up everybody? It is Kristen Sivisapino, joined by Vivian Day. Today we are watching Sonic the Hedgok. Have you ever watched that when you're a child? Yeah, when I was a kid. You play the game? Yeah, forever ago.

Me too, me too. I loved it. I'm over here kind of like really excited because I feel like my childhood's about to come back. I know. Makes me nervous. But I don't know what I expect because I'm also a little bit scared

that I'm going to be like, I used to like this. It could go either way. It could either be, oh, my God, this is my child. This is amazing. This is the best. Where it's going to be like, wow, I like that. That's sick. No, I think it's more like a, wow.

They really did not do well with that one. I hope not. I don't know. I used to have a hedgehog in Germany. And I remember we were so excited because we saved him. He was on the road and everything. He was hurt. Well, we nursed him back to health, and we named him Sonic the hedge.

Oh, that's so cute. And I love this little guy. He was just the cutest thing ever. But it was because of this. Because my sisters and I were so excited. That's so sweet. But anyways, you guys, with that being sad, let's get Sonic the Hedgehog up and running. Let's go.

Let's go. Okay, this was the most adorable. I loved it. Oh, my gosh. It was so damn cute. And that's all I can say is it was adorable. I love it. And fun and so much better than I thought it would be.

Oh, yeah, me too. So much better. I'm so happy. Yeah, I'm really, really happy with it too. Yeah. Way better than I thought. Way better. I was like thinking it was going to be like, yes, it was cheesy.

It had cheesy, corny parts, but it was so, so. sweet. Like, I'm like, I would let my children watch this. Like, over and over and over again. It's so good. I want him. I want one. Just one. And you're plushy. It makes me when I get like a little Sonic the Hedgehog little toy for my dog or something. We really need that P.O. box. I loved. Jim Carrey was amazing. I missed him so much. Yeah, he hasn't done anything in a while, huh? Yeah. There's a random video that popped up again of him like talking about him manifesting stuff. And I was like, oh, look, there he is. There is.

Manifested into our lives. She never ceases to fail, mate. Like, he always delivers. He's so physically good. Always. Even to this day. Oh, yeah. No, everything about this was absolutely adorable, lovable, and just, like, heartfelt, but, like, ah, it had the family friend dynamic.

It was just sweet as, like, sweet as can be. The effects were really good. Yeah, they did. I'm glad they didn't make it look weird looking. Or, like, kind of like, ugh. You know what I mean? Uh-huh. Like, you know, sometimes they do these, and then you're like,

which correct me if I'm wrong folks out there, but I think when it first got announced, I think I remember people being like, what the heck is that? And they had to redo the whole thing. Oh, really? The response was so, like, shocking. What is he?

You know, I don't, I think it was for some. It was a while ago, but I'm so glad they went with this because it's so much better. And my personal favorite part of this other than how adorable he is is how empowering the message was. It was like, you claim your power, you take back your power. Oh, yeah. And you know, be careful about what's important to you. Oh, Vivian, get it. Get that massive message in, dialed down.

I would love my kids to hear that, you know? No, that wasn't a really good message. You take back your power. You don't give it to anybody. You stand up proud and strong. Believe in yourself. I love that they adopted him. Yeah.

I love how the whole town came together. Yeah. And they adopted him. Yeah. And I love that he called him the donut lord. Yeah. Pretzel lady. Pretzel lady, donut world.

The donut lord. And then they called him the blue devil. Yep. And I'm like, I don't know your name. He says that's what I made me here. And he's like, why? Yeah. You talk to donuts.

Yeah. And sometimes when they're out of line, you eat them. There's so many, like, funny little nuggets in here. And when I say nugget, I mean like. Like Easter eggs. Like, in the sense of, like, if I was a lot younger, anytime when he's like, this has two butts or one, like, I would laugh. Yeah.

I mean, I smiled. Yeah. When he started talking about farts, like, I would laugh. Like, and I smiled in this. Yeah. I didn't fully get. The ha, ha, ha, ha, but I could totally imagine me watching this with my niece or, like, some of my friend's children, and they just seen them. I think watching their reactions to it and cracking up would make me crack up and make me love this film even more just because I would love what it would do to them.

Yes. Like, low-key, I kind of want to watch this. I kind of wish we had, like, a child, like, someone, like, young. See that Jabby was busy, right? Like, yeah, but you know what I mean? Like, imagine if we were watching it with a kid right now and we would be giggling, like, crazy with them. My nephew is obsessed with this movie, and now I know why.

I can't wait to call him and be like, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, no, but it also brought me back. It did bring me back to my childhood in a good way. I forgot about the rings because when you said that, what rings? And then when I saw him do it, I was like, that's wrong. Right. We can go anywhere with the rings. I didn't remember that part.

I just remembered that you had to collect a bunch of them. I didn't remember it until it went big. I love it. And all that started, like, all these things started coming back. I'm like, that's right. That's right. Oh, that's right. I'm like, I forgot he can do this.

Yeah. How cool. But I'm so glad that they did not make him weird looking. I'm so glad that they kept this pure and, like, solid. Like, this was solid. Everyone's chemistry was so good, too. He never once felt like actors were working with a green screen or, like, anything like that. Yeah, no, they did really well.

Which you feel like that sometimes, you know, but everyone did so well. I love how he's like, you're, so you're the best friend. He's like, this is really humiliating now. Like, can we stop? It's just so cute. This was done very well. For all ages. I think the CGI on this was really good, too.

Like, it was good. Like, I didn't feel, like, you know, sometimes you watch things, you know, like, I kind of a lot, too. Like, too much or too fake. Especially for a kid movie. Yeah, like, I feel like for the kid movie, too. Like, it was done very well where I believe that, I believe it. Yeah, I did.

Not once did I go, yeah, like, I didn't think. Why did they skimp on that? Exactly. Yeah. I felt like they did not, they didn't skimp on anything. I think they took their time. and they really executed this very well and I love the different dimensions

and the mushroom world looked really cool personally. I like mushrooms. I love mushrooms. Like, I think they're delicious. They are healthy. They're intelligent. Yeah, they help your brain. Which is perfect that Mr. I know. Doctor ended up there. I can't wait. I can't wait to see what he does.

I love that they went back to him and he was like, for an average person, but you know like yeah he was so psyched to be there for that that adventure he's like let's do this because it was like a challenge for him and his brain because he's so damn intelligent and I love that and he looks more like the how he was in the game yeah right I think I remember it like I think so yeah I think so and I think like I love how nobody's giving up and it just shows hope but it's also even with him in his his situation I almost feel like that's another message.

Hey, guys, oh, it's okay. I can do it. Yeah. I can get out, you know? I just loved it. This was absolutely fabulous. Anti-bole message is really good, too. There's so many good things.

Hold yourself on the wall. Here we go again. I thought his name. He's really, something Hassan. I can't remember the name. I'm so about names, you guys. I'm a face person. Like, I'll remember your face.

Probably not the name, but. Really well casted. Very well done. Yeah. All around. All around. Good job, guys. I don't have any bad things to say about it at all.

No, I don't either. I thought I would, and I'm very pleased, and I'm so excited that there's a part two, because I do want. Yes. Yes. And I'm really excited to see it. It was so cute, which I don't know how people are going to respond to us thinking that, but it really was so adorable. I don't, I think it was the most adorable film. And I'm just like, yeah. They knew their audience here. Yeah, they did. I guess, you know, now I know why we got thrown on this one. Yeah. I'm just like, I just want to grove him and go look at a show.
