Starting point is 00:00:00 Sina. Pals. Today, we're going to get super fast and super furious. We are going to go into Vindieseland and check out the fast and the furious. Okay. Jarl. Damn, is that the end? I think that's the end.
Starting point is 00:00:23 What'd you think? Fast and the furious. Makes me definitely want to get in a car and go, Ramb-R-R-R-R. Right. Right. I want to make direct eye contact with someone and then hit the gnaws. Yes. And I'm just going to throw this out there. I don't know if it doesn't really have much to do with the film other than what got stuck on my mind. When he lifted her up. This is why women like them big boys.
Starting point is 00:00:45 That was the hate to say that was the best scene of the movie. I'm not going right. I could not not say this. But I knew I knew Steph had my back. It was really well done. I will say women were often used. It was the biggest prop of the movie. was women. It was so classic early 2000s depiction of women where you're like, oh my God, okay. I get, I know women exist that are jersey chasers and, you know, might have zero personality, but most of the women in this movie, I know it changes, were props. However, that scene with Lettie, fantastic. And I will say letty, the main girl characters Lettie and Mia were cool. I'm excited to see their growth.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Their growth throughout the series. I want to see more of them the next one. Because I think this was probably establishing the guys. Right. And like what they're about. At least Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's characters for sure. I thought it was really fun. I'm not sure if I fully understood the whole car gang thing.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Oh, like the actual plot line. Yeah. Like I get it. Okay. Everybody is competing. Okay. They have their own thing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:58 But I think that overall. plot line was that they were attacking these trucks stealing from them but but then you had the Asian crew come in and they had their own little beef which I feel like kind of distracted from like the main like why the cops are trying to catch them in the first place right that was the B plot but it felt like the A plot at times yes I feel that and that's and that's the only reason why I was like they didn't really have a solid plot other than than establishing the characters yes yes in the world yes it's a start it did a good right job of establishing the characters and the world.
Starting point is 00:02:33 And now I can see where this franchise jumped off from here. Yes. But I feel like they were still kind of like maybe like playing around with it a little bit. Maybe I don't know. I'm curious to see the one that comes after. The predisposed. Because I'm, I'm assuming and I'm hoping that the storyline is going to become stronger. But for me, I think the conflict of the storyline was a little weak.
Starting point is 00:02:54 But I loved the, I loved the world that they brought us into. Yes. I like the plot line, the whole storyline was fine to me. It wasn't like mind-blowing. Yeah. I love the character work and the world building as well. And it was just really fun. I liked the car racing scenes.
Starting point is 00:03:15 I thought those shot those really in a cool way where I felt like I was in the car a lot of the time. You know, you and I, we watched Die Hard together and we are suckers for a cheesy but good one-liner. This movie had a few of those. I was like, hell yeah, I live my life a quarter mile out of time. No, it was definitely a lot of fun. I liked it. I liked the outfit choices, honestly. Yes, love the outfits.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I was enjoying the outfits. A guy in a rib tank, I'm telling you, it's simple, yet it's so effective. Not everybody pulls it off. No, no, but if you do, you do. I'm just going to throw this out there, too. Some may hate me for this, but the main character, the cop, I'm just throwing it out there. Whether I agreed on the conflict of the storyline or not, I was so attracted to him.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Oh, yeah, Paul Walker. Honestly, Paul Walker can do whatever he wants. I will drool. I will stare at him. And he distracted me from everything and anything that I may have a conflict with when it pertains to this film. Yeah. I'm like, he, that is a star power of him.
Starting point is 00:04:21 God made you open with everything else. God. Yeah. Yeah. I liked how he was. very adamant about not being a narque and being true to who he is and being loyal. Even just getting cold a narc, he beat him up. He's not playing those games.
Starting point is 00:04:38 No. Which, you know, it just goes to show. I like the honor around it and the idea. I respect people like that. And I love that. He's like, I got to go find my friend because I'm all he's got. Right. To me, he's like your ultimate daddy of all daddies.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Right, right. You know what I mean? Right. And I feel like he's the type like he just like. Like his sister said he's like, what did she say he was? The, the, um, a suction or something. Oh, like gravity. Gravity.
Starting point is 00:05:05 She said he's like gravity or something like that. No, I think that he is just a warm-loving home. Like there's deeper, I think we can get deeper with him. I hope as these things go, like as the. I don't know how deep these movies are going to go. With him. Perhaps. As a character.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Yeah. I feel like he's the type that he just sees something and somebody and then he just goes and starts adopting people. Yeah. I love that this idea of chosen family that's very early on established. I also love that he made them pray before they ate. That's cute. It's cute.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I thought it was adorable. All in all, I thought it was super fun and I loved this world. I do love the world. It was fun. It was really fun. I almost wanted to go deeper, like more. I want to be, I want more of that world. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:51 And like, I want to be a part of it. Well, good thing. There's 10 of those movies and you guys tell us if you want us to continue on this journey and what is your favorite fast movie? Who's your favorite fast member, too? Have we even met them yet? Because I know that there's going to be a ludicrous entrance. Do you see the Kat Williams interview where...
Starting point is 00:06:08 Okay, you gotta watch that girl. It was crazy. Like, I did not. Anyways, he was gonna be in it, apparently, but it was ludicrous. So, I'm sorry. Thanks for watching. Thanks for riding around along with us. I know it goes, so...
Starting point is 00:06:22 Okay, go grab a corona or whatever and hit the subscribe button, bell icon, all notifications, and vote this up. I'm Seth Sabra. This is... Chris and Subspino. Much love.
