Senna. Pals. What's up, everyone? Welcome back. I'm Achara Kirk, joined by Kristen Stephenson Pino. We're carrying on with X-Men. We are watching X2. Here we go. And this is like where she finally, what is that? What is that? What is that? Show me. Her body? What the motherfucker? You're not even going to like end it and like let's just show me. That's a clue for the comic book readers.

So I'm not going to tell you anything, obviously, but... She's not dead. It's a clue. It's a clue. She's not dead, man. This is how she's breaking up their voice, so she should come back for Wolverine because she's a little cheating hoe. All right. Say where you really feel. And you know what else?

You know what else? She doesn't deserve to be that powerful. And she's like, wow, I'm so powerful. I'm going to be so cool. And when I come back, he's probably going to move on so I can be with my... I'm like, oh, no, okay. I'm just kidding. So, to be fair, Wolverine kissed her first.

She returned the kiss a little. A little. But then she walked away. A little. She was like, ah. And then she goes, stop it. And I'm like, girl, don't even play with me right now. Like, you were enjoying that from like the moment it happened.

I mean, you've been dying for that to happen. They have chemistry, okay? They do, they do. Gene Gray and Wolverine always have chemistry. and it's always a will they won't they and then Cyclops is there and as much as I love James Marsden because he is an extremely good looking man

I just feel like sometimes in these movies as Cyclops he's a little bit boring I wouldn't see him You know what? He's soft He's like your little like pansy boy who's like a jock who's like think he's super cool But you're like

And he's out of the wind You blew air on me and it hurts I don't know sorry if anybody of you are like huge fans him i like him he's badass okay as as i agree with the trial as an ex-man character cyclops is badass he's a great leader his powers are amazing however he's like captain america he's he's he's he's the goody i just said that ouch sorry i am team cap all the way i like captain mary but you don't say that about my boy i'm just saying that boy is captain america so righteous and like a little boring but like kind of cool and so in this dynamic when you have him

against wolverine who is the quintessential bad boy you cannot help but root for the bad boy that you know is like a bunch of red flags you know but you want it we all choose that bad boy we all do oh my god red flags yes i'm gonna run at it like a bull i shut those down so real quick i'm like red flag Dolly is an instant block My luck Every once in a while I'll be like I'll let a few red go by

And then I'm like yeah I'm done Where's the green though This film is fun I like the storyline in this one I like where it's going I think I like this one better than the first one I think a lot of people like this one better than the first one

Dude this one's just badass but I I want them to all work together so badly because they're so damn cool together as one And I'm like, I might be the fireboy. You're pyro? If you were given the choice to like, oh, do I stay with the X-Men? I might be, you know, I might be changing it up every single five seconds.

Like, I'd be like, hey guys, I'm back. Oh, just kidding. Hi, guys. Like, I don't know. I don't know. All I know is the blue girl. What is she called? Mystique.

That's what, that's right. Mystique is my ultimate fave. I can't get over her powers. she's awesome and she's just a badass like she's evil but like that was so dirty what she did to ex-man or i mean wolverine that was you had my blood i was so heated and then and then oh that was hilarious because like okay so like i said i had seen this movie before but there was so many details that i didn't remember but that was definitely one thing where i was like i know who that is. And I know that that is not Gene Gray. And when you were using your mind, you were calling

her a hoe and everything. I was like, oh, you're about to feel really bad in three, two, one. She changes. And I was like, I died. For the record. Yeah, I felt a little rough there. And then I felt bad for Wolverine because I was like, yo, boy got his hopes up and everything up for nothing. Like, he was like, oh, my God, I did ding, ding, ding, ding, and then he was like, Oh, yeah, that would have hurt my pride. Could you imagine your ego's so high, you're like, yeah, you want me? And then all of a sudden, you're like, oh, shit. I've been played.

I've been played so hard, and it's not even, ugh. Yeah. That was, that was entertaining. She does, but you know what? A part of me feels like she enjoyed that one. No, but that's the thing I like about her, though, is that she is fully herself. Yes. Like, she doesn't.

She owns it. Yeah, she owns it 100%. She's like, hey, macarina, macarina, macadana. She goes, oh, yeah, I'm hot. Look at this. Look this macarina dance. And you're like, yeah, let me get in there. Hot.

No, she does. She owns her outer appearance to a T. She owns her power. She's so, dude, she demands a room. She is confident. She's powerful. And she is just, damn. Yeah, she's awesome.

Yeah, this was really fun. This is a lot of fun. I really like. what the writers are doing. The way the writers set things up and the how they're writing it out is so freaking cool to me. And I'm like, how do you make a guy

with claws cool? I mean, he's already cool because he's got claws. You all are going to hate me for this one. I did not think Wolverine is that cool. And then, but the storyline makes him cool to me. Fair. If that makes sense. I guess that's a potential

I think every single character in here is super cool. Wolverine's like, okay, I love that he can heal himself. Yeah. Clause don't do it for me. You know, it's just a little extra, I think. Otherwise, I'm glad he has them, though, because I feel like if he was just a healer, he would really not be that cool. But because he's so aggressive and he's just a natural fighter, it's like, okay,

we got to give him something so that he can really dominate and just be like, you know, he's a killer. yeah he's a fighter he's a killer we learned that from the the first ex-man and and the story is just you know it does it for me yeah no it's really fun it's just so entertaining and like i think like you were saying about uh magneto and his crew especially when he was working together with them and you get a sense of like what it could be like if they all work together yes and that was just a rude tease man i was drooling over that relationship i was so my soul was so happy, and I'm like, yeah, oh, let's f them all up. Like, I felt like I was like the Hulk coming out going, and then I'm like, no. But that's, that's like, he's such a fascinating character because he is the villain, right? But I think this is also why we love Marvel villains so much is because you can kind of see their side as well. And you're like, well, if we look at it another way, are you really the villain?

Yes. You know, because he's out here trying to save his people. I think he's one of the very few villains. I get his perspective and his point of view. Yeah. And so it's like, it's hard for me to be like, oh, he's trying to protect his people. These people are like trying to kill you. They're trying to hate you.

Yeah. And the other guy is like more level-headed, you know? But like, so for him, I'm like, I struggle because I really like him. Yeah, he's a cool character. And I hate him at the same time. But I love him. I love the relationship between both the older men. Yeah, Professor X and Neto.

I love their relationship so much because you could feel like the respect for each other and like the love, but also like a yeah, go shove it up your butt. Like, you know, but it's like, better than the day I got you, bro. Yeah. But I don't got you, but I got you. But it's the, and I love it. It's like a brother like, brotherly like, you know what it is? It's like, it's like Thor and Loki. Right.

Because they're very close. And, you know, they say that there's a. line between love and hate and you can only really hate people that you actually love. And so you understand the history between them and the intense level of friendship that they had, which

then turned because their ideologies are just so different, you know, and so it makes it very compelling and interesting. I also like that Wolverine chose in that moment. He's like, hey, I have all the answers here and I can learn everything about myself. Yeah. And he chose to let it be.

Yeah. And he chose the new life, not his past. And I like that he's like, I'll figure it out eventually my own time. Like, I feel like that's in the back of his head. That was the lesson. Exactly. And he's learning from X, what was it with? Professor X?

Professor X. Yeah. I'm like, X. I'm like, no, no, there's something before saying X. Professor X, I think he's like slowly becoming like wiser, which is kind of cool to see how he's learning you know but he's a wild child I do love his character in that sense

I love that he's like that unknown like yo he's a question mark we don't know what he's going to do let's roll the dice and you're like where do you go I don't know but it keeps it interesting it keeps it exciting yes he keeps you on your toes and then you can't help but get excited when you see him

even though I do think like that's what makes him cool to me it's the writing and the way that these writers are just creating his character and making him like very, very likable, you know? And then, but I like that they also give you that unlikable vibe too.

Well, you can see, and they play with it. I like that. He's got that like gruff exterior. And then... He's the bad boy, good boy. But he's like a marshmallow on the inside. Like he cares about people. He cares about the children. He cares about you know, his found family

in the X-Men. And so... I like it. Yeah, we like him. Because, you know, We know these characters and we're like the ones who were like kind of, you know, with an asshole exterior, but nice on the inside. Yeah, we know those people. We know those people. I think this, this, okay, X-Man is very interesting to me because you can really relate to each and every character, but also the storyline. And it's interesting because I almost feel like they're using real live events. Yeah.

Whether that's like racism, politics and all that, like, and combining it all into one, but making it very interesting. but also, like, in a way where you're like, oh, man, I feel that. But they're making it so damn cool on, like, how they're resolving things. Yeah. And, like, I'm like, I love you. I need more X-Men. Yeah. I'm officially a hardcore fan.

I liked the part first one. Yeah. This one made me a fan. This one we just watched actually made me feel like I'm a fan and I'm excited. X2, baby. I'm like super excited about it. Also, I wouldn't give a shout out to Nightcrawler, Kurt Wagner. He was lovely.

Yes. I love him so much. He's such a sweet, sweet character. I love. Yeah, every time he showed up on screen, he just lit up the room. So sweet. Yeah. His precious, protect him with all costs.
