Starting point is 00:00:00 Sina. Pals. Ew. What's up guys? It's Kristen Stevespino, joined by Vivian Day, and today we're back with Zomeland Double Tap. Pap, p, p, spank it. And just like how you should double tap. Ooh. Vivienne.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Zombie land, last time we saw this, we had a blast. I'm a huge fan of Emma Stone and everybody. Jesse Eisenberg. You thought he was cute. You know what? All of them. Of course they're cute. Oh, no. Alergic reaction.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Nuts. He married him. Sorry, Al. Adios. I hate my face. Go for it. That was much fun. It totally delivered.
Starting point is 00:00:52 There were twists that I was not expecting at all. And it was so funny when they were like the double. Yeah. Like the fun house mirror, but not fun. That was super funny. Madison, I think, was a very clear standout character. Madison just made, I'm not going to. Madison, well done, lady.
Starting point is 00:01:16 You stole the show. I think she stole the show. I thought she was so damn funny. And I'm like, I love that we thought. I said allergic reaction. I thought so too, but then she got. Then Columbus, Mr. Columbus himself, I love that he came in acting like he's all bad and, like, disposed of her. And then later we find out he didn't.
Starting point is 00:01:39 We all know he doesn't have the heart. But this film, I think it's just as good as the other one. I loved it. I think it was so damn funny. It was super funny. Just like the other one. Just like zombie. It's still gruesome and so gory still.
Starting point is 00:01:57 So many props to makeup people Oh my God, gross The only questions I had Were like when Babylon They were doing the fireworks I'm like, how could you survive that long And then not do that? Well, remember they did say like they were migrating
Starting point is 00:02:18 They started getting more evolved But they, as time goes, they were migrating or whatever Because what's his name led them there or whatever I don't know, something like that. And I'm saying that because of... Albuquerque. Albuquerque, yeah. Remember him and his dude?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Flagstaff. Like him and his dude. Him and Flagstaff, they did talk about that. That's true. And how they were all heading that way. So Babylon probably was like, no, we're good. We haven't had problems in years. And then boom, bottom bang.
Starting point is 00:02:47 They must have had so much fun making this. Oh, 100%. I think... How do you keep a straight face? Like, I would be talked to from so many producers. probably would be like you need to be professional or we're going to find someone else i don't know how they do it i honestly like they're so good i think there's they are really really good i love that we had that father-daughter moment of like their what and it's it's everything he hates what she found
Starting point is 00:03:17 which is like i feel like every father's nightmare musician pacifist maybe that part's not like everybody's like worst nightmare. Right, right, right. But. Just the opposite. Well, here's the thing. For a guy like him, okay, for a guy like Woody in this scenario, it would be his nightmare to have your daughter who you train, like, you know, I know, she's like her his adopted
Starting point is 00:03:41 daughter because in the last one, they just bonded and they clicked. It would drive him crazy because he is like kind of like redneck, like hardcore, like rough around the edges. And so I feel like that was like the perfect move to give her that hippie guy. I think it's so damn funny. And for her, you know, it's so different. And outside of her realm and what the norm is. And a lot of times we gravitate to what is completely the opposite of our upbringing sometimes, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:09 because we're kind of like, you're horrible or whatever. And then you go complete opposite. And then there's times where you go back to your roots. I think that's biological to make sure you, like, evolve as a species. It's a thing. It's okay. Which is tough. Let's talk about this baby girl.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Her, like, bailing all the time. Like, the fact we still had her bailing on this one and then left a damn note, which was, like, the worst note ever. Really. Heavy. Heavy. So when Madison came in and she came back, it was so good. I like that it was true to everyone's character.
Starting point is 00:04:48 No one really broke their character. They stayed really true to who they were, even though stuff has changed. like things got dull and boring. They still were very much themselves. And it was nice because you could tell that would happen eventually in the last movie. With Little Rock? Yeah. With Wichita and Columbus, like their relationship
Starting point is 00:05:08 because she's so like... Not Wichita. Yeah. Little Rock. No, but with Wichita, too. I knew that was coming that she would start feeling a little cagey and like if they were settled.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Oh, I thought you were... Okay, sorry. I was like, you mean Little Rock? And I was like, I wasn't understand what you said. I'm sorry. I knew that it would come up eventually where if they were sticking together that long and in that relationship that she would start feeling a little like, okay, time to go. Like this is not right. Like I'm glad they finished out that pattern in her and she felt safe finally to be like, okay, you know what?
Starting point is 00:05:43 I can rely on you. Yeah, but I feel like we had that, but she's always going to be a flight risk. Even in as. Do you think so still? I think so. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I think she's done.
Starting point is 00:05:54 I don't know. I think we got one more flight risk in us. Oh, no. I do hope there's another one, though, because the writing is still on point, and they're doing a really great job. Even though we have to wait forever, it feels like, I do hope there's more. There's certainly stuff you could do with Little Rock, with Nevada and Tallahassee. I love that. I would love to see them develop more. And we didn't get to see a lot of the new zombies as much. They introduced them, but they just seem like old. zombies just faster. Well, in the last one, we definitely had a lot more zombie kills and stuff
Starting point is 00:06:30 like that. This one, I think they were like focusing more on like the stories. But when the zombies did come, it was scary. So I think that it could open that doorway. Yeah. More of that. Yeah. I want to see the smart ones as terrifying as that is the hawking. There was no really good way to define which one was which unless if they themselves said, oh, that's a hawking. oh, that's a homer, you know, I feel like there wasn't a way to really distinguish them. So I would have liked to see...
Starting point is 00:07:01 I felt like I could tell when there was a homer and when it was like regular. Or a T2 was a little more red, I guess, but... No, you don't think you could tell more by, like, the personality? Not. Because I felt like I could tell, like, for the... I mean, the homer is obvious.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yeah, the homer is super obvious. But, no, not with the hawking and the ninja and the... Did we even see the ninja coming to play? That's what I'm saying. I'm like, I would have liked to see more of them. I don't think we saw the ninja, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I think we saw the Hawking. We saw the T-2s. Yes. And then we saw... Oh, no, we did see one ninja who came behind him on... While he was on the trailer, the... Is it a trailer? RV.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Thank you. I was like, not a trailer. I want to see more of that because I feel like they introduced it, but then we're like, okay. I feel like they can make one with the ninja and have it. a little more, even more serious, but still keep that humor and make it super scary. I mean, you have a good point, for sure. I think overall, this was a lot of fun. I'm so glad we didn't lose the Civil War bearded guy.
Starting point is 00:08:08 The Orgy guy. It's like, okay, orgy, let's go. There would be one, at least, in the commune, who would constantly be like, how about now? Uh, uh, me on floor three. I'm like, no. I was expecting him to have, like, a scene where he dies or something. Because the way they said, they're like,
Starting point is 00:08:28 you're definitely going to die. I'm kind of glad he didn't. He was, he was like a solid little addition. He was funny. Look at the names. Bowel blast guy. Man. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:08:41 The names on this are just so funny. But it's also interesting because we actually, for the first time, found almost like a colony. Yeah. Like we found like a whole little group of people. And, I mean, we left, but. That was cool. That was a cool, different, like, little twist.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Yeah. And I like that. I love the world pacifists. Like, there would be. All I think is I'm like, oh, this bunch of pacifists, vegans, and, like. In the most terrible time. And the worst time to be that. To be a pacifist.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Like, we have a dream. I can understand them being vegan in a time like this. Because you have no, but I can understand. them also being vegan just because even if they didn't have a choice I feel like with the zombie thing like I might lose my appetite on meat and become vegan
Starting point is 00:09:33 but well no be vegetarian because cheese I used to be vegan. It's still vegetarian but like cheese is protein and a source of nutrition I feel like I would find a cow and do it holistically and massage it I treat the cows well
Starting point is 00:09:50 where you're going to get a cow? Oh yeah Vivian where are you're going to be Vivian, where are you going to get a cow? I forgot in the first one. Yeah, where are you going to get a cow, Vivian? I would find one. A goat?
Starting point is 00:10:04 There's many forms of milk out there. Honestly, you could do butter and cheese. We're surviving on whatever breast milk. It could be done. You got to find a pregnant lady. Uh-huh. They have a whole commune. I'm sure you can find one.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Maybe not anyway. I definitely would not be getting pregnant. during zombie land time. Just the stress levels alone, there'd be no periods. Yeah, there's no way.
Starting point is 00:10:31 There's no way. I'd be like wrong time to be a pacifist. I just, at least I have a plan to protect yourself.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Favorite part. Please say you have someone. Oh, we made these cool little do you mean? No. No. Favorite part,
Starting point is 00:10:51 Madison's. And anything Madison. Madison. Madison, she's MVP, man. Because we've seen that character before done so many times, but I don't know what it is about how she did it, Zoe. She really elevated the Madison, the, like, Valley Girl. I don't know what she did, honestly, because I feel like in any other film,
Starting point is 00:11:10 or I feel like if anyone else played Madison, it wouldn't have worked for me. It would have overdone it. They would have done too much. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know, because she was pretty damn extra.
Starting point is 00:11:23 but I loved her. It was still real. You're like, you are exactly like, the real Valley Girls. I'm not going to lie, like, when we lost her, I was like, oh, I felt a loss. Yeah. I was authentically sad.
Starting point is 00:11:37 And then when she came back, I'm like, my girl! That's right. Da-na-na-na-na-na-na-ha. Like, let's go. I could totally see it being where... Clearly, she's not that dumb. She clearly knows how to survive.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah. I don't know how she got that far, but good for Madison. I could see it happening where in the original form of this movie, they probably did kill her off because they are not shy. This franchise is not shy about killing people off that we're like, no, but we like you. Like Bill Murray, for example, Luke Wilson and this as well. I feel like probably in the original version, they did kill her off, but probably in all the test screenings, they're like, no, you need to bring Madison back.
Starting point is 00:12:15 You think? I think so. And then they brought her back because she's too good. She's too good. And if that's the case, props to the act. actress. Amazing. I like that. Zoe Dutch. I think also I do like
Starting point is 00:12:31 that what he got is got a little girlfriend. That's an interesting twist. I kind of like it. I kind of want to see more of like where that goes. And Little Rock I feel bad for her
Starting point is 00:12:42 because she's still third willing. But you know what? But you know what? I feel like when we finally do like have her with some guy or something it's going to be that much more like satisfying. I can see Woody and his chick bringing up.
Starting point is 00:12:56 No. Why? Because he's such a little butthead. They were so sweet on each other. They were. So she though. She's like a hard ass. But he's also like Wichita, right? So he's like her and he's kind of like, I don't know, maybe, or maybe Nevada bails on him.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Who knows? It would just make it interesting and then they come back together. Yeah. You know? I feel like because he's already changed after being with him for so long with his little like family because like when Wichitae left and then Columbus was like wait you're just going to go and he's like
Starting point is 00:13:32 yeah I'm alone wolf and I'm just going to head out you can come if you want I think he knows he can't live alone anymore I think he's all about that lifestyle now yeah yeah I love this I hope they stay together forever I continue to love this I want more of this I think we should be in the next ones. I would totally do it for free. Yeah, I'd like, done, put me in.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Please. It's, it's, please. Would you be a cameo? Would you be a zombie? I'll be whatever they want me to be. For the rat press, $20 is $20. I'm saying there's a whole commune we could easily be here. I want to be the new Madison. heck you oh my god
