Starting point is 00:00:01 Okay, got the red smoke. Dr. Okay, copy, west of the smoke. I'm looking at danger close now. Come on, win a minute, baby, clear not. We're live-ish. We're here. Yeah, we're not live at all.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Here, okay, well, let's celebrate. Cheers. Cheers. Another beautifully poured Guinness. Fuck, that's good. Okay, so where would you like to begin? First of all, I need my official confirmation that I am indeed hired. No, no.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Interview process is still pending. I save the fun. I save the day today. First off, just because I forgot my backpack and you happen to be driving by my house and got the backpack, doesn't mean you saved the day. Okay, let's get something straight. I was not driving by your house. Yeah, you were. You were driving from the Bozeman area to Calispell where you passed by my house.
Starting point is 00:01:05 No. How many miles out of the way did you go? Six? I drove all the way up the east side of the lake Around through Big Fork had to come around the north side of the lake Go south even Only a dipshit does that No it's the quickest way coming from
Starting point is 00:01:19 From Bozeman area Is it? Yeah How long have you lived in Montana? I don't know Maybe you should just You're trying to tell me that coming through Poulson is faster To get to my house
Starting point is 00:01:29 That's it Noted Internet I saved the day today There would be no full auto Friday If it was not for my That's not true because I have another board down there that we could have used. And you still had me drive to your fucking house. Yeah, I wanted my backpack.
Starting point is 00:01:45 I fucking hate you. My backpack has my special things in it. Okay. How was your travels? You went on pre-election travels. I did. I went down to Wyoming to vote because that's where I was registered because with my timing of moving into Montana, there was no time to get my license because I,
Starting point is 00:02:07 I got on- Residency, I believe it would be. Yeah, yeah, licensed residency. I got online and it's a, I can't get into the DMV to even get a license until like just mid-December right now. So they are slow on the appointment. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're way backed up. So I'm registered down in Wyoming. I have friends down there.
Starting point is 00:02:26 We're doing a development project down there right now with new product stuff anyway. So I shot down there. Did you watch the election from there? I did watch the election. What was your strategy that day? I had an interesting one, but I want to hear. years first because this is I think I don't know episode 26
Starting point is 00:02:41 the election recap from two fucking political idiots. Yeah well I gave zero fucks I went out and that's not true. You were like it's closer it's closer than it looks you were watching the election results I was yeah
Starting point is 00:02:57 I was well I was surprised that it was a neck and neck race as tight as it was the whole entire time and so yeah I felt like he was substantially smashing Hillary into the ground with electoral votes by the time, by that time in the evening last election. So I felt like it's shifted late last election in 16. For some reason, I think I felt like it was later in the evening and you could kind of feel the or watch the tide turn.
Starting point is 00:03:26 And I remember that because I was more than anything watching the resistance of the people reporting on the information. Right. Some individuals were not as excited to be reporting the mathematical information that was coming their way. No, no. But I feel like it was late. Lateer. Yeah, there were some folks on CNN that were having like mental episodes live on air. Yeah, so I voted and went and shot some guns and tested some things and went to the house and then began drinking and watching the,
Starting point is 00:04:02 shit show unfold, which is, I think we, you predicted this and you said this, you hoped that this situation didn't happen. And here we are. Yeah. So my theory was participate in the Republic that day. Right. Cast my vote. Um, tried to change everybody's mind in the voting line, regardless of what their opinion was just to be antagonistic. Of course. I'm joking about that part. Um, nobody would talk to me. Uh, and then did a podcast. went home, cooked dinner, watched a TV show, went to bed, checked it zero times. Checked it zero times. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I like that. Because why? I participated. What else can I do? I mean, your text was like, it doesn't matter. It's out of our hands right now. It is. What are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:04:52 I mean, I know a few people who's, well, not that there is a refresh button on their keyboard, but if there was a refresh button on their keyboard, they would have to order a new one because that little three-quarter circle is burned out. And I can only imagine the level of stress and anxiety that came with that. I did everything that I could. I voted for the party
Starting point is 00:05:14 that I thought was less of a danger to the United States of America. That's how I frame my electoral or election decisions. It's not who I wanted is who I thought was the least amount of a threat to this fucking country. And then went about my day. And here we are.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Here we are. Gridlocked. Thoughts, predictions on how it's going to play out. Well, we should probably, I mean, what's the best understanding you have of the situation we're currently in? So it's Thursday, evening right now. Right. Predictions, thoughts.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I think that, I think it's a clear illustration of how divided the country is when we're seeing votes that are showing up within 10 to 20,000 of each other. The other thing that I, you know, coincidences. some people think they don't exist. I find it rather interesting that some of these swing states, these battleground states that had literally hours and hours on some other metropolitan areas on the West Coast, i.e. California, who are turning in their results literally an hour after the polls close.
Starting point is 00:06:21 And yet we have these East Coast swing states that have had hours and hours of lead time on voting that are not turning in any results. and then, I mean, last I checked, before I went to bed at like 2 a.m., Trump was leading in Pennsylvania by half million votes with, I think, 86% of the vote turned in, if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong about that. Maybe it was 90. And then somehow overnight, Pennsylvania found a bunch of votes for Biden. So I've heard a lot of that, but I can't get to the bottom as to whether or not that's exactly true or what happened. Well, I did catch a clip of one of Trump's, his son, like, tirating, and then Rudy Giuliani was there. And I was, like, trying to, I didn't catch all of it because I was busy packing my truck. So I could get the fuck out of here and get back home.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Yeah. So I did catch Giuliani talking about how their observers were not allowed at some of the stations to actually observe the ballots as they were opened. You know, the process in which the whoever is, you know, monitoring the ballot. was able to, you know, read through the information, make sure it was a valid, you know, you know, ballot that they were receiving and counting. And so there was some, there's some fuckery that went on in Pennsylvania from what I could ascertain off of, you know, CNN. I think CNN had it up when I came in the house to, like, pack my gear up at my buddy's
Starting point is 00:07:48 house. Yeah, I, uh, I've paid more attention in the days after or the two days after, not like it's been incredibly long period of time. However, I will predict this is going. to go on for at least two weeks. That is my prediction. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, once you've got lawyers and courts and lawsuits filed, this is going to be a minute, yeah, for sure. But I heard the same thing about some places where they're not letting observers come in. But to be honest, I don't know much about how they count votes. I don't know. I believe that certain states do it
Starting point is 00:08:21 machine-based. Others are doing hand counts. I don't know if you're allowed to have other people there. You know what I mean? Observer me? I don't know the rules on it. I hear a lot of this stuff, people saying 180,000 votes showed up overnight here and ballots are found out of the garbage over there. I just, to me, it highlights how little you can trust social media and information. I mean, media in general at this point. And I'm not, well, I don't think people are intentionally being distrustful, even though I'm sure there are some people are who are creating those things. But I mean, I can't get to the bottom of any of it. No. So, It's interesting. That's why the Electoral College cocktail has a, you know, a healthy dose of just calm the fuck down and let the process play itself out.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah. I like that post. It was great. It upset a few people. What would you, how would you try to describe? I got some DMs on your post. You did? Yeah. Oh, probably because I was, most people don't know that I was quoting stepbrothers. They were like, what the fuck? I'm like, what are you talking about? His post. And I hadn't even been on and looked at it. And I got on and I got on and I. I just immediately started I was dying I was almost crying and I text it back and I was like it's okay don't panic everything's fine no what do they think it was
Starting point is 00:09:39 no I'm not there they I don't know what they thought it was they thought you were having like some kind of breakdown and like medicating yourself heavily with some alcohol which no I like to come like put together I'm a mixologist in addition to being a Somalié and I write from the heart whatever I'm thinking of in the moment I was thinking about a hairy
Starting point is 00:09:58 Armenian It was a beautifully curated post. And I got a couple messages from Armenians telling me that they're all not like Chewbacca, but they appreciated the shoutout for Armenia. So I'm going to put that in the column of a win. I was a net plus. Yeah, it's how would you describe where we are in this process to somebody who doesn't live in the United States? And it's like, well, how do you guys elect your king?
Starting point is 00:10:23 I think our political system is like two girls, one cup. One girl is the right? one girl's the left and the cup is America and if you... I meant the stalemate that we were in not the actual graphical description in your fucked up head that, uh, okay.
Starting point is 00:10:40 I mean, that's what I think of when I think of our political system. No, I mean the situation that we're currently in, it's two days past the election, there's no victor that has been declared, there's no end in the near future do the lawyers. How do you just, like, are we in gridlock right now? Are we in a holding pattern?
Starting point is 00:10:55 I mean, yes and no. I mean, he's still got, I mean, Trump still hasn't told January to like turn you know before the inauguration he still has time to finish out his term so yeah I don't think anybody should even if he's declared to be the loser right I don't think anybody should panic just yet on the left it's like he's not going to turn over the office he's going to mobilize the military he's going to everybody calm down that's not going to happen but I can promise that we're going to have a nice little legal battle up go hot legal battle going up until then and the media
Starting point is 00:11:24 is going to do nothing because it's negative but throw gasoline on the fire so uh I I would recommend everybody just take a knee and chill out and let this situation see where it goes. I mean, that's what I'm going to do. I'm just going to continue on with life. I have determined that I don't know enough about the election process. Like, I don't know how long they have to declare the results. I mean, it's obviously not up until the inauguration of either the new or the incumbent president. But I'm going to take until the next election cycle.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I want to come into the next one a lot more prepared with an understanding of how the process actually works. Yeah, I want to come into the next election like that too. And I'm hoping that maybe some great candidates that we want to vote for will come in the next election. I will not be holding my breath on that. Right. I am still, you know, whether Trump wins or Biden wins, like we've both said that we're not huge Trump fans at all. Yeah. He is the lesser of the evils in this situation.
Starting point is 00:12:27 but I really have to chastise the left or the Democrats. I mean, because there's varying degrees of left and leftists and crazy other things over there. But what in the fuck is going on with the Democratic Party? Like really? Like this is the best you can do. A fucking dude that's been in for 47 years
Starting point is 00:12:46 and has early onset dementia, clearly his word acquisition sucks and he can't put together sentences to save his life. Like he's probably not going to last a term. Like news flash, the office of the president of the United States of America, extremely stressful job. He already looks like he's got one foot in the nursing home and you're going to put that, that's your candidate. Maybe we should put like an upper limit on it too. I mean, there's a lower limit.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Why not have an upper limit? Right. And then really, Camel Harris, like, are you fucking kidding me right now? Like, I have friends that are black. I have rifles that are black and I have coffee that's black. Camille Harris, that bitch ain't black at all. I'm 100% certain you're not allowed to say that.
Starting point is 00:13:31 I can say what the fuck I want. This is the internet. Remember? Just remember that Brian Bishop, not Andy Stumpf, made that statement. I'm pretty sure that you don't get to tell her what color her skin is. I'm pretty sure that she's Indian, not black. Okay. I don't know either way. I'm just trying to caution you that all my black friends. I need you to
Starting point is 00:13:51 chime in on this. I need you to hit me up. Well, here's the only fair thing that I can say... Cast your vote for Camilla Harris. Is she black? Is she not black? The only fair thing that I can say in response to you chastising the left is we need to chastise the right. Because let's be honest, what the fuck? If that's the best candidate that you can bring to the table.
Starting point is 00:14:13 He did an address today. I was watching it while waiting for you because you were late. No, I was getting your backpack. You said you'd be here at 515. That was pinned before I got rerouted an hour and 20 minute out of the... way trip i digress he just came on and he was talking about the election and i mean i don't know trump at all never met the person never had a conversation with him have heard well you know what i don't i don't seek out uh opportunities to listen to him speak like i'll watch some videos if
Starting point is 00:14:45 they come on right and what he was describing about the election was kind of like the state of where we are and he was talking about the states that he had won in um and i don't want to I didn't watch the entire thing, but he was talking about suppressive polling and stuff like that. And man, it was fucking hard to listen to. It's just the guy also not the best representative of, I think, what the right can bring to the table or the Republican Party, because I do agree. There's varying degrees of people who are straddling one leg seems to be on both sides. I think we both talked about it. Like I consider myself to be relatively fiscally conservative, but socially liberal.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Right. You know, so I hop back and forth really depending on the issue, which actually on a totally unrelated thing, I know a couple of people who do like, I only vote on one issue. It's the second amendment. Like, that's it. That's their entire voting policy. It's like, fuck, man. I mean, that's big for me too, but it's not the only thing. It's big for me too, but goddamn. Like, there's other issues that I think are critical in the republic. Absolutely there is. Yeah. My point being, I think the right needs to be chastised equally. complete agree with that. Yeah, don't get me confused with, you know, love being a Trump, Trump, Trump, Trumpatite, loving. I think they call him Trumpians now. Yeah. That was a hashtag. Or, or as Hillary calls us, deplorables. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not, uh, I'm not in love with Trump, uh, at all and have been very vocal about that. I mean, I did go on my IG at one point and I wrote him a personal message of how I felt about how he handled the General Mattis situation. Um, so. That said, I mean, I would have voted for Tulsi Gabbard. And that's why I'm so pissed off at the Democratic Party. I'm like, you had a Tulsi Gabbard who is a awesome Hawaiian woman who is a combat veteran who is a sitting congresswoman who is extremely presidential, extremely professional, extremely well vote. Didn't she tear up Kamala at one of the debates too? She destroyed her, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:44 And as soon as she did that, the DNC put crosshairs on her, and Hillary decided she didn't like her. And they went after her. Do you think it's that decided? Like, do you think that even those early phases, the DNC, and I have no idea how much power they have or actually even how it's structured. But do you think that they have the ability to look at everybody and say these two are it? And then they can just maneuver the chess pieces around to net those two? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:09 If they have that power, that is idiotic, that they came with the two that they came with. I find that's interesting that they feel that would appeal to their base audience. Well, I mean, when you are a person of integrity like she is and she speaks about reforming the Democratic Party and she speaks about transparency and government and bipartisanship and, you know, truly reaching across the aisle to engage, you know, the GOP, when you have a Democrat that's speaking like that, you know, the people that are on that extreme left spectrum, don't like that. They don't want transparency in government. I don't. You think she ever has a path to the top, or is her fate always glass-ceilinged?
Starting point is 00:17:57 No, I'm hoping. Here's my personal opinion. If America continues on this polarized right-and-left, two-party system. Which every indication appears to be that it will. Right. And we keep letting social media algorithms pump negativity at us, and we keep letting media, you know, not put up, you know, pump out fake news and we keep letting this situation occur, we're going to crash and burn at some point.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Like something, this will come to, we'll hit an event horizon at some point and something bad will happen. And who knows, it's not, it's not going to bode well. I really think that in order to get things back on track, like, I, I love Brett Weinstein's, like, dark horse theory. I love it. I love his unity 2020 vision. Yeah. And I mean, yeah, it's amazing. And good job, Brett. I think it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:48 And so what if we can get a Crenshaw and a Tulsi Gabbard running in 24? Like, imagine being at the ballot box now. And you've got a Republican and a Democrat running together on the same ticket. Are they allowed to do that legally? I don't know. I don't either. Again, I need to up my knowledge on the system in place. I mean, the DNC and the R&C or the GOP are going to, they're going to lose their shit about it.
Starting point is 00:19:15 But I mean, realistically, think about that now. And if you follow through with what Brett has said where they do one term where one's the president, one's the vice president, and then the next term they flip-flop, you have both parties and all of America unified, working together. And, you know, I can't imagine anything better that would, you know, be a good step forward for getting us back on track and, like, healing this huge. polarized division that's in our country right now. Hypothetically, Joe Biden wins. What do you think the next four years looks like? I think it looks like a, well, it depends on if the Republicans control the Senate, which
Starting point is 00:19:55 It looks like they will. Okay, so it looks like they will. Then he's going to be a lame duck president that's not going to, he's not going to be able to get anything passed through because that partisanship is going to be there. And they're not going to, especially if they're pissed off and they think that he cheated the election, that no, we're just going to continue to go down the same track. where he's not going to get anything done for the next four years. He's going to sign a bunch of executive orders, a bunch of nonsense.
Starting point is 00:20:19 He's got a very anti-2A position. I mean, he's flat out said. Yeah, what are your thoughts on that? He is very open about his position on it. You know, AR mandatory buyback program banning them, high-capacity magazines. There were some other things that he was very specific about, actually. Yeah, and I don't know what his powers of, you know, signing an executive order against the Second Amendment would be. I would think that that would go to the Supreme Court and be challenged there.
Starting point is 00:20:44 So I'm not sure if he can sign an exit. How would that work? I have no idea. Thoughts on a mandatory buyback program. No. No, just in general. What are your thoughts? I know that you wouldn't participate.
Starting point is 00:21:00 What are your thoughts on the idea of it? They're never going to, well, I mean, from just the basic flaw in that whole thing is like you can't pay people what they paid for. You can't compensate people. The government's not going to come out and compensate people appropriately for what they have into their AR platforms. You know, with, I mean, I've got a carbine that's, I mean, I've got several carbines that are upwards of in between four and $8,000 if you count all of the accoutre. All the flare. All the flare that's on them. So, well, you didn't buy it from the government in the first place.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Right. So a buyback is also an interesting way to phrase that. I try to use like my litmus test for most things. Most things in life, is it practical and is it reasonable? Right. I don't see them going nationwide and forcing people either to turn those in or to buy them back. It's not practical.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Right. And talking to law enforcement in the last two days about, they actually brought it up to me. I'm like, well, you would probably be one of the individuals tasked with doing this. what are your thoughts? And all of them said, I'd rather slide my badge back across the table and then go try to do that. So, I don't know. Interesting. Especially in this valley.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Well, yeah, I mean, Montana is a little bit of a different issue. But, okay, hypothetically, Trump wins. What's the life look like in the next four years? Same. I don't know if he's going to be able to, I don't know what other things he's going to, you know, what his other agendas are for his second four years. I would hope that his top priorities would be sorting out this COVID situation and coming to some resolution and having some good guidance on, you know, away, a path forward for that because that's the most critical thing I think that's facing Americans right now. It's still this COVID for sure situation.
Starting point is 00:22:52 And then I would hope that he would maybe listen to some of his experts that I know in the, are probably up in the White House screaming at him to like tone his shit down and not be such a, you know, unprofessional. professional fuckhead, really. What are your thoughts on the military officers that have worked for him in the left in the way that they describe his leadership? And the fact, a lot of them went and actually endorsed Democratic candidates. This is one I get a lot. They will say, well, how could you potentially vote for the Republican Party when these military leaders who worked near Trump are endorsing other people?
Starting point is 00:23:29 It's a question I get via DM and email pretty often. I mean, yeah. I mean, it's one of the major reasons that I certainly. went high into the right with my Twitter my twittering which doesn't happen hardly ever I don't think that's the right term but the yeah the him the way he handled the Mattis situation like I served under Mattis I've had close interactions with Mattis I've briefed Mattis a few times you know I've sat and listened to some of his briefings I was on the bridge right outside of Nazaria right before we went in and I watched him fire Colonel Doughty
Starting point is 00:24:02 that whole scene that happens in Generation Kill. Oh, really? I was 100 meters away and watched that whole thing go down. So I've heard almost nothing but resoundingly good things about him. He's an amazing man. He's a patriot. He's completely focused on giving his whole entire professional life to this country. I mean, he's not married.
Starting point is 00:24:21 He has no kids. And he's an amazing leader and a great man. And to watch that guy. And I talked to, you know, one of my really good friends today. who is a colonel, a Fulbert colonel. He just picked up brigade commander. He, him and I went to high school together. Great, amazing human.
Starting point is 00:24:42 He was saying that the morale hit from Mattis leaving was... The Marines? No, from leaving. In the White House? Yeah, leaving from his cabinet position as the Department of Defense. you know he he basically you know that whole thing like demoralized the whole thing like he was like even in the army we loved mattis we had posters of maddus we had pictures of him up all over we had screensavers of him mouse pads of him he's he was you know an amazing leader so to watch him walk away because
Starting point is 00:25:18 you know Trump didn't want to you know listen to a man who's dedicated his whole life for 40 years in the defense of this country and who wrote you know who co-authored the counterinsurgency manual with General Petraeus, like to have a man like that, you know, have, you know, get basically asked to resign because you don't like his position on dealing with things that he's got massive experience in dealing with.
Starting point is 00:25:47 And you have zero. You couldn't go into the military apparently because you had a bunion on your foot, but you are not going to listen to somebody like, you know, General Mattis, it's, I think it's disgusting. Yeah, I think it says a lot when they leave. And I think it's always hard to tell whether they leave by choice, you know, because both sides try to protect their ass, if you will. One side is, hey, it was his time to go.
Starting point is 00:26:18 It was our decision. The other one's like, fuck you, I quit. Right. But one thing I will say that, too, is, you know, military officers, even at the highest level, I mean, to some degree, they're politicians inside of the military, but they're not politicians as a professional occupation. No. So when they start talking about politics, I take that with a grain. They're an expert at their wheelhouse, which is the conduct of warfare and the defense of this nation.
Starting point is 00:26:42 They're not necessarily an expert in politics. And I think sometimes people will forget that. They'll talk about my crystal about that a lot. But he did. And just like, yeah, I understand that. But he's an impressive individual, but he's not an expert at all things, nor is anybody. Right. take it with a grain.
Starting point is 00:26:58 You ready for the most contentious political breaking news of the day? Sure. Instagram shut down tactical assholes. What? Try to find it on your phone. Go ahead, pull it up. I mean, I believe you. They shut it down.
Starting point is 00:27:13 Why? I don't know. They didn't message you, did they? I submitted the... What, did you get the message that said you're violating our community guidelines? Yes. Hmm. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Okay. I might have gone hard on the pain on people. I mean, that last video that you put up had me laughing hysterically. The last, you can talk about the one from today? The one with the shotguns, like blasted, like people shooting shotguns that are flying. It was amazing. Yeah, yeah. That's, you know. Edited to music.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Yeah. I follow the little things where you can contest it. I assume it's because people complained or an algorithm might have caught it, but I doubt it. I looked at the community guy and, like, lines, fuck, they're vague. Did I use an appropriate language on there sometimes? Of course. Was it a satire page? Yes, it was in the health and beauty category.
Starting point is 00:28:07 So we'll see. A couple hours ago, got shut down. I guess I'm a bad internet user. I don't know. You terrible, terrible human you. Well, I mean, now you and Mike are dealing with the same issues. I mean, he got put back up and he... I'm immediately going to start four.
Starting point is 00:28:26 more today though. Oh, you should. You certainly should. Yeah. Tactical asshole. Actual d'i. I couldn't believe. I was like, motherfucker. I can't believe they shut that down. And I'm sure it was something that I posted recently, not the complete fire roasting of Stephen Segal. Like, I was thinking about it, you know, one of the community guidelines is hate speech. I'm like, I said some really bad things about Stephen Segal. As you should, he's not a great. I didn't call for violence against anybody. No. But if they took those Steven Seagal, uh, comments out of context or even in context, it would be tough to justify what that page is for. So yeah, we'll see. I'll update everybody if it comes back. It was doing well too. Occasionally it would trend. I know. You were doing well with that one.
Starting point is 00:29:13 I don't think people realize, though, that, I mean, it legitimately, it was satire to a degree, but I was using, you know, essentially talking shit in comedy to highlight ridiculously dangerous behaviors with a very serious. purpose-driven tool. Right. And yeah, we'll see how it goes. They took away my First Amendment rights. They did. I'm not sure it was my First Amendment right, but I'm just going to say that.
Starting point is 00:29:37 They suppressed free speech. They did. Free speech and an absolute great comedy if you're well-educated in the firearm space. Yeah. I mean, I was relatively discerning. There was only one teaching academy me that I directly went after specifically to include calling their CEO and continuously trying
Starting point is 00:30:01 to ask him to come onto the podcast, which he refused to do because I just wanted him to explain his tactics, just the five Ws. I know exactly which one I'm talking about, the disco dance party. Yeah, yeah. But I think other than that, yeah, whatever it is, what it is. I was doing it for fun. But I was surprised. I was like, wow, okay, why today, why this one? And what's interesting is the lack of explanation. That's something that I would like to know is X number of complaints or you failed in this community guideline, but whatever. It's going to be okay. It'll return. Yeah. Here's the thing is I disagree with their policy. Like, give me a warning. Give me exactly what I violated. Show me the post that was in, was the violating, you know, was.
Starting point is 00:30:43 They would warn me when I had post the hoverboard dude, the suicide bomber on the hoverboard. They would almost always warn me on that one. And I don't know why. It may have something to do with the fact that I kept posting that. Over and over. What advice would you give to the American people, regardless of who you support? Well, first of all, I think it's great that as many people got out and voted. Record numbers. 120 year record.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Yeah, we set 120 year record in voting. So good job, America. Excellent work on that. I love to see people getting out and exercising their right to vote. So good job on that. I would say just sit tight and see where things. things go. I mean, it's anybody's game right now. So, you know, these states could, you know, the courts could rule against, you know, rule against Trump and these states can come around and
Starting point is 00:31:33 Biden can win and, okay, great. And I couldn't, yeah, I could see it going both ways. Yeah, or Trump's legal arguments and suits may be heard and sided with and in which case we get Trump for four more years. Yeah, I was trying to think about it from the perspective of my personal life and realizing that I've been through multiple Democratic and Republican and versions of the House and Senate, you know, and all that stuff in combination with that. And at the end of the day, the rock will keep rolling. Yeah, of course it will. Yeah. And I'll have the same attitude if Biden wins that I had when Obama won where I will be like, okay, let's see what this guy can do. I have a really good gut feeling that what he's going to do. I mean, would you ever say that he's,
Starting point is 00:32:20 he's not your president. Who's that, Biden? Say, hypothetically, he won. This is something that I've heard a lot of people say about Trump. Well, he's not my president. I mean, if he's sitting in the office of the president of the United States and you're an American citizen, he is your president. That's my feeling, too.
Starting point is 00:32:37 It's a really bizarre way to try to detach yourself from a system that you probably are completely, well, not completely, but you're relying on and you interface with. And I always would push back on those people. I'm like, listen, I said the same thing. Like if you're a citizen in this country, whether you voted for him or not, he is sitting in the highest office of the land. So he is the president of the United States. And if you're a citizen, then perhaps you should get on board with that instead of trying to distance yourself from it. Yeah, I think realistically, like you said it, you said it best when you put up a post about, you know, what am I going to be doing after the elections or whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:13 And you talked about like I'm going to recognize my neighbor, you know, and I'm going to go to work. I'm going to continue to do. I'm going to keep my head down. I'm going to continue to do what I'm going to do. And I would just advise everybody to do that. And let's try and heal some of this division. I know it's going to be hard. It's a hard, tall order at this point in the game.
Starting point is 00:33:31 If you haven't watched the social dilemma yet, go watch that. It is worth it. It is worth it. Watch it with your kids if you have kids too. Definitely. Because it will bring you into, it'll give you some knowledge that'll help kind of shine a light on why one of the main reasons I think were, So polarized and so divided right now.
Starting point is 00:33:51 So negative news and clickbait sells ads. So what do you think you're going to get blasted at 24-7? Just a constant barrage of negativity in your phone all day long will breed negative thoughts and which will breed a negative attitude. That's why I went the way I did on election night. And it was, you know, I woke up the next morning and I checked the news. Yeah. Guess what?
Starting point is 00:34:14 No Victor. So I got an awesome night's sleep. That's good. Didn't worry about it. I went the other way because I was like, okay, like we're doing it. You're a nervous Nancy. I wasn't a nervous Nancy. I was like, I was doing it for, you know, so I don't sound like a blathering idiot on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:34:31 I was like, I'm going to watch till this thing comes, runs its course that way I've got some great talking points for our post. For your interview election. Because your interview is still open. No, I mean, I'm totally in. That's neat. I'm still in. I'm the guy. Well, you do in fact actually live here in the.
Starting point is 00:34:49 area now. There's a reason I put that sticker here. Expect to self-rescue because that's the attitude that I think every American needs to adapt whether you voted for Trump or Biden or whoever wins. Don't look to them to save you. Be your own first responder. Be prepared. And be prepared to step in if things don't go your way. Right. You know, if shit's getting out of control, don't look to somebody else. Prepare yourself, live your life, be the best person you can and expect to self-rescue. Yeah, and I mean, Evan has a great company, and he had that other one. No one he's coming, it's up to us. I have those stickers over there too, but I couldn't put both up.
Starting point is 00:35:26 That would be a confusing message to people. It would be, yeah. One thing at a time. Expect a self-rescue, that's awesome. I saw that as like I'm buying 50 those immediately. Yeah, I'll just plaster them on people's cars next to the coexist. Transitioning, what do you have planned for the winter? We should start putting together winter plans.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Winter plans. Do you have your pass? No, I need to get it. Perfect. You should enjoy paying more than for what I paid less for because every, I think like another week, the price goes up. Okay. Well, then I need to do that tomorrow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Actually, when we go to wherever we're going, Leah, I was like, hey, let's go here after you're done doing what you do. Oh, sweet. You coming to dinner tonight? Yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah, absolutely. So I'll maybe be on my phone ordering my pass while we're having drinks. It goes up rapidly.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I think the early sale, it's almost like, it's not 50% off, but it might go up by 50% after that. Okay. Do you have a split? No. Do you have two snowboards? I was learning how to ski because I had a horrific experience with splitboarding when it first came out. What was the horrific experience? The horrific experiences, I moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and I quickly figured out that all my friends that lived there were skiers and not snowboarders.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Yeah. And they were like, hey man. Oh, you got flattened out on a bus. bottom, didn't you? Well, what happened was I had some bad hardware on because splitboarding was brand new. I think it was like the first season. They did splitboarding and the binding broke. It was a board that my friend gave to me. And so the binding broke and I ended up like post-holing in and post-holing out a number of miles on the pass. Which is also known as sweating to death. Yes. It was not a fun experience. So I went away from splitboards and I'm like, and I love snowboarding.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Snowboarding was like one of my favorite sports when I was a kid. And so I can ride a board downhill. No problem. I can rip on a board. But the nuances of like skinning was new to me and like then putting the board back together and then having the thing iced up. And then I whacked it with a pole to try and get it to knock the ice off of it. And it broke the bracket.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And then the board wouldn't lock together. And I still tried to ride it anyway. And yeah, it was an absolute shit circus. So I know. Those issues are fixed. And the splits now are awesome. Sweet, yeah, I'm totally in. Well, we need a third person because then you and me and Nelson can go rip.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Okay. Yeah. We'll send him down first. If he dies in an avalanche, we'll ride our line at five feet away from where the avalanche started. Yeah, where the brake line was. Correct. Yeah. We'll look for him on the way by.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Yeah. Because he should be prepared to self-rescue. You should. Hey, Nelson, go ahead and dig yourself out of that. No, he's got a good beta on all the areas around. Plus, he's got a sled, a little snowmobile. Oh, perfect. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Yeah, so we can get some. He likes to get after it. So yeah, okay, we need to do some backcountry. We need to do some resort. The cool thing about Big Mountain is there's actually some access to limited backcountry right under the ropes, which they allow you to go underneath. They have a transponder checker right there. Transponder beacon.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Probably the same thing relatively. And it's like a five-minute skin. So you actually get a lot of practice. You ride the resort on your split, go up a chairlift, literally go straight off the back in five minutes split so you get a lot of reps putting it back together that sounds awesome yeah it's awesome yeah i'm totally into that you know what my favorite part about this winner is no shot show it did get canceled shot show got canceled yeah i think that was a smart move i would cancel forever i'm fucking i you and me both wouldn't the email the only way the email would be better was
Starting point is 00:39:00 shot shows chats shows canceled indefinitely indefinitely because i was going to go this year oh so was i I mean, we were going to host a party. We were going to do a joint thing with Beyond Clothing. Oh, at that hotel that they ran out? Yeah. Yeah, we were going to do that whole thing. And then it got canceled. So more time to plan.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah. I took an immediate side of relief because that took all the pressure off of me for product development stuff because at usually by end of August, beginning of September, shit gets really hectic on a product development standpoint from the product. development standpoint if you are in that industry because you have hunting season that is now in full swing. So you're trying to manage multiple product development projects so that you can launch new product at shot while trying to balance hunting season at the same time. And then you have the holidays on top of that where people shut down for the holidays. And so shit gets during the fall
Starting point is 00:39:59 and leading up to Shot Show, extremely hectic and extremely stressful trying to meet those deadlines for marketing and for product release. So now that that stress is off of me, I'm like, fucking awesome. Yeah, it is nice. It'll be back, though, because shot is going to, I mean, Vegas, can you imagine Vegas how much money they have lost in the lack of conventions over 2020? Oh, yeah. Holy shit. Yeah. Yeah. When was the last time I was down there? It was for, we went to train with Henry a little bit. There was some UFC fights going on, so we linked up with Kavanaugh, Connors coach. It was really cool. but just a ghost town in comparison to what I'd seen before. Very, very bizarre.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah, well, I'm not disappointed that it's canceled. I'm not either. I'd be okay if they said right now and 2021. Yeah, me too. By 2022, I would go back again because I'm like, maybe things have changed and then one day into it, but like, I'm not leaving my room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Then you'd be one day in and be like, God damn it. Is ODG going to do some stuff with Beyond? Yes. Yes. So right now we just got our line brief from them. We did an original, we did an offering with them. I think it launched in 15. And we did a soft shell system.
Starting point is 00:41:09 We did a soft shell beanie, soft shell shirts and pant, and it was, it went, it went well. And we've since then had people, you know, bugging me. Like I was at design school, because I went to design school in 16 in San Francisco to sharpen up my design game. I had a interesting epiphany at finally at that point in my career
Starting point is 00:41:30 where I was getting really, pissy with guys coming off of active duty or guys that were had been off active duty and were coming into the space and you know doing the same job that I did as a consultant with you know taking your operational experience and like working with companies that were you know developing product for the community and they were like I design this and I design that and I would look at them and go no motherfucker you didn't design that like you are the good idea fairy that went in there and sat there with the engineering team or the design team or both. You ideated perhaps. You ideated. And then I had this epiphany. I'm like, dude, that's you. That's how you got started. And then I realized that I was just deficient in some skill sets that I, as a designer. And I didn't feel comfortable with calling myself a designer without having, you know, those, those skill sets that, you know, the way I felt about it is if I can't take a product concept ideation and go through the whole process of sketching it, flushing out the sketches,
Starting point is 00:42:37 you know, selecting materials, building a basic order of materials, building a first article prototype, building the tech app, the tech pack and the specs around that, and then sending that whole package off to a manufacturing entity, I'm not a real designer. I'm a fucking good idea fairy. So I didn't like that about myself and I saw that as a trend going on. It still is a trend. Like I see dudes all the time that are like, I design that. I'm like, no, you don't.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I felt that way about becoming a master Somalié, calling myself that absent any training, and then I just got over it in order to master Smolier pin. What level are you? The highest. Really? I have a level 7 wizard, Somali. Really? I'm a level eight.
Starting point is 00:43:19 No, you're definitely not. I'm certainly like shit. No, I'm a level eight and I have coined and patented the Stumphlabel method selection process. How can you patent something that has my name? in it. And it was something that I created. I mean, you didn't create it. You put the concept out there and I stole it from you and I patented it. You didn't. Well, that's why the interview process is still open for your co-hosting position. Final thoughts on the election recap to the American people. Oh, final thoughts. Because we're going to dinner here soon. We are. Don't get sucked
Starting point is 00:43:53 into the media blitz on this. Don't start going down the negative rap. I know my mom is sitting at home right now and she's like, fucking those goddamn liberals, they're cheating. They're a bunch of motherfuckers. There's a lot of that going on online right now. Oh, man. People, you've got better things to do with your life than to get sucked into negativity. So just stay away from that. And you know what? If Biden gets elected, guess what?
Starting point is 00:44:14 That's our process. And that's, we had record voting. Okay? I'm not crazy about it. I wanted Tulsi Gabbard. That's who, that's the candidate that I wanted. Yeah. Tulsi, Crenshaw, get your shit together, run on a joint ticket, make history 2024.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Okay. And in the meantime, we'll suffer through Biden and Harris. and I will say that that is my president because he is and I will watch them fumble fuck their way through four years and then hopefully we'll have better candidates in 24. Yeah. And if Trump gets, you know, if Trump gets it, then we'll have more riots and more nonsense
Starting point is 00:44:51 and more craziness happening, more impeachment trials and more complete fuckery going on for another four years. So hopefully not. But yeah, my advice would be everybody just calm down a little bit. Let the process play itself out. And I think I've said it before when you and I were talking. It's like after all this nets itself out, just realize the people you've been screaming
Starting point is 00:45:11 against online or in real life, they're still your neighbor. They're still an American. It's okay to disagree with people and still have respect for them. Tough concept for some people. Yeah, for people who don't share my opinion, it's okay. Still love you. You can vote for the other party or the other person or you can call me an idiot for my ideas and I still love you.
Starting point is 00:45:32 Yeah. Okay. Same. I've, I've had some great discourse with people in my DMs and people are, you know, hey, did you think about it like this or did you think about it like this? Or I had this experience and I had that experience. And I've had some really good conversations with people that I disagree with. And I'm going to continue to do that. I'm in a point right now where I don't have a huge social media following like you do.
Starting point is 00:45:53 So I'm in a great position where I can, if you DM me, I'm going to answer back. I try to. Yeah. And if you act, the only reason I won't answer. answer back. If you're being completely ridiculous or vulgar or just being a fucking asshole, then then you're not going to get, you'll get a couple interactions and then that's it. But if you keep things objective and you hear my side of things and we have a good exchange and discourse, then yeah, I'm happy to, I'm happy to answer any DMs on guns and politics and
Starting point is 00:46:20 masks and COVID and fucking war and whatever else you guys want to ask me. Here's how we're going to close. We're going to do a bet. Oh, I like... Closest without going over. Okay. The wager is one bottle of seducious wine chosen by the winner. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:42 And can I add something else on that? Yes. The other one has to wear a pink cancer belt to jujitsu. That's only the month of October. God damn it. Well, I just saw a big pile of them and Leo was wearing one the other day, so I didn't... I thought that was... Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:46:54 It was the month of October. I thought it was November. It was breast cancer awareness. Yeah. I thought that was November. I have one. how they need to wear it for a week a day what are we talking a month Travis won't let you he might give you a day or two if we tell him it's a bet and it's shame
Starting point is 00:47:11 driven a week can we get a week out of it get a week all right so pink belt it's jiu-jitsu for a week and you have to come every day that week oh you have to no or a week's worth of classes right um one bottle of seducious wine what day will the election be decided closest without going over you're first Currently, it is the 5th of November, which is a Thursday. I'm going to say December 5th. Interesting. Closest without going over.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Well, that's a Saturday, so you just fucked up. I will say December 4th. Okay. And we're done.
