Collector Nation - Forget Downtowns… THESE Are the Coolest Cards in the Hobby | Murray Henderson and Creator Collective

Episode Date: October 13, 2026

Ryan Alford sits down with Canadian artist Murray Henderson and Collector Creative founder Zach Nigut to explore one of the most overlooked corners of the hobby: real, hand-made sports art. Murray sha...res how an accidental paint spill turned a photorealism painter into the creator of "exact abstract," and what it means to be named the 2026 Sport Artist of the Year, with his work going on display in a museum for a full year. Zach explains how he and Murray met at the 2024 National and built a partnership turning Murray's large original paintings into small-run collectible art cards, each a 1-of-1 variation with its own holographic verification number. The two discuss why real art carries more meaning than AI-generated designs, the hidden details layered into every piece, and how they decide which players and pop-culture moments to bring to life. Ryan also recounts the emotional Ted Williams painting reveal at the National, makes the case for Topps working with real artists again, and announces an exclusive Murray Henderson original and art card series coming to Collector Station. Topics Covered Murray Henderson's 2026 Sport Artist of the Year honor From photorealism to "exact abstract" Why great art has to be seen in person The Collector Creative partnership Turning paintings into collectible art cards Real art vs. AI Verification and premium packaging The Ted Williams surprise Artists and the future of card design Exclusive art coming to Collector Station 🔗 Links Mentioned in This Episode Collector Nation Website: https://thecollectornation.com App: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/collector-nation/id6795562084 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thecollectornation_ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@thecollectornation YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@thecollectornation Murray Henderson Website: https://www.murrayhendersonart.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/murray_henderson Zach Nigut / Collector Creative Website: https://www.collectorcreative.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/collector_creative Collector Station Website: https://thecollectorstation.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thecollectorstation Ryan Alford Website: https://www.ryanalford.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ryanalford ⭐ If you enjoyed this episode, follow Collector Nation, leave a 5-star review, download the free Collector Nation app, and share it with another collector.

Starting point is 00:00:00 Mine says one of one. It will be the only variation of that. It's the only hollow Griffey and the Excel and the only lightwave of the Jordan. I'm a proponent of technology and AI. I love all of that. But I'll tell you what, if I'm going to hang it on the wall or having my office or cherish it or give it to my sons, it's going to be something that Murray painted and not something I just printed. You know, having sort of a soul to it versus something that a computer created, I think that's a differentiator.
Starting point is 00:00:25 The tears of emotion, it hits me. I feel like my art touched them. I'm Ryan Alford. And I'm Bella Schaefer. And this is Collector Nation. We're curating all of the content in the hobby just for you all in one place. All the videos, all the podcasts, all the reels, all those drops you want right here, right now. Some sports moments live on a card.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Others deserve to live on a canvas. Murray Henderson, the 26th sport artist of the year and Zach of Collector Creative are helping bring those two worlds together in a really interesting way. We got to know them at the now. where we also got to help surprise heritage auctions, Vice President Eric Myers, with a commission Ted Williams painting. Watching that moment unfold was a perfect reminder that sports art is not just about the image itself.
Starting point is 00:01:24 It is about the memory, the story, and the emotion attached to it. Today we are talking about Murray's journey, the work he and Zach are creating together and where sports art fits into the future of collecting. What's up guys? Welcome to Collector Nation. Hey, Murray, Zach. What's up, guys? What's cooking? Hey, how are you doing, man?
Starting point is 00:01:40 What's up, Brian? Thanks for having us on. We're excited. to be here. Yeah, I'm pumped. You know, I get pumped anyway. You know, I come in here. I get to talk to the cool people, doing amazing things. And, Zach, I've already told our audience how great you are, but let's just go straight to it, Murray. Congratulations, my brother. 2026, sport artist of the year. I want to say all these things when to get the accolades right. It's a big deal, man. And congrats. Yeah, well, thank you so much. I'm truly honored to be even spoken upon some of the artists that have won it in the past. So it's pretty amazing. So you get to, Exhibit. I mean, I talk to me, you know, I know how humble you are. I met you. I've been around you just a couple of times now, and I know you're that way. So I'm going to ask you to talk about this a little bit. And we'll get into some broader stuff with the art and stuff you're doing, Zach. But what exactly does it mean with the exhibit with the award? I mean, what have you learned since, you know, not only getting nominated, but ultimately winning?
Starting point is 00:02:36 Well, yeah, basically, they are actually going to be taken 10 or 12 pieces of mine and exhibiting. them in the museum for a year, which is pretty special. I mean, it's, you know, they get a great audience down there, and it's throughout a whole entire year, which is, which is cool. And they're letting me take some of my big, huge pieces as well. So that's something that a lot of people don't get to see, you know, they see myself online, but to see it live, you know, close and personal, sometimes it's a little different. It shows more layers and more, you know, more of my technique when you can see it up close. So that's something that's great.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And I'm going to meet the people next week to get the art down to Alabama. And the whole event or the night that they presented to me is November 9th. So I'm looking forward to it. And I mean, my idol, you know, Rewan, was actually one of the recipients. And that to me is just like unbelievable. But I'm even in the same realm as someone like him. So I'm truly excited and honored. We got to get, like, Bill or out.
Starting point is 00:03:44 We got to be somewhere in the vicinity to get, like, you know, coverage of that when it goes down. So maybe you can get us like a backdoor pass or something. You know, I don't know how, how. I think it, I think it is open to the public. So, I mean, but I will definitely get you, you know, some special passes or something if I need to. At least it's so we can say that, Murray. So we say that Murray Henderson got us in special passes, you know, we want to sound. I can do that.
Starting point is 00:04:10 We'll print them. You know, we'll get Zach to help us with something cool with Clutter Creative. We'll make them look like they were official like backstage passes to the Murray Henderson show. Well, yeah, maybe we use the cards around your neck kind of thing. Yes. As your entry. And I think that would be kind of cool, too, wouldn't I? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Zach can do his magic. That's awesome, dude. Yes. I do need special attention. Even if it's fake, I'm okay. with that. Like, you know, but it's all about celebrating you, brother. And I agree, let me say this, at the national in two years in a row, I didn't know
Starting point is 00:04:53 Murray last year, what was there as Saul's piece of his work and had heard his name. And then this year, spinning up and close, the layering that you're talking about is true. Because, you know, I look at an image, you know, on your website or other, and it's gorgeous and it, like, it's abstract and just, like, genius. But then, but you, that layering really does come to life in a way that's hard to explain. unless you're in person. Yeah, and I mean, I've said that to many people over the years that you can see all my pieces on my website or, you know, on Instagram, but to see them live and, you know, actually go up close and see there are different, you know, layers of the abstract as different thicknesses of paint, too. A lot of my pieces also have 3D pieces in, like, you know, pieces of shoe or game worn jerseys, jerseys, pox, hockey sticks.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I mean, there's so many different things in them. and it's hard to tell when you're looking at them, you know, 2D. So when you can see them live, it's totally different experience. And then I also, I don't mind, you know, people go up close to pieces of art. And I hear, you know, parents telling their kids to stay away. I said, I'll go up here. I mean, you want to feel it, touch it, to feel the different textures. To me, that is the experience.
Starting point is 00:06:09 and, you know, letting people really up close and personal to art is different than a lot of other artists. They tell you to stay away. I'm more, you know, come on over. I have a lot of kids come over and they can help me actually do a couple splashes on a painting when I'm doing it live. So that's something that kind of sets me apart. I'm more loose with that kind of stuff too.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I love it. That's why I'm pumped that we're going to have. So that here at Collector Station is part of your art collector. collector experience, putting it in hobby shops. I love that program. Although we're going to see some of it here, all of it. So, you know, it's strategically well played,
Starting point is 00:06:50 well played, my friend, because I'm a sucker for brilliant art, and you live right in the lane. Well, I see your mural behind it, and it's very kind of similar to the kind of my style. I love the splashes and the excitement of it. And that's kind of, you know, that's kind of what I try to bring to my art is, you know, not just a face of Michael Jordan. It's the emotion, the movement, splashes.
Starting point is 00:07:20 And, you know, that's kind of what a lot of paintings don't show is the movement or the sweat flying off their face. You know, and that's kind of what my splashes represent. And I think it gives it a little more life. And I have fun doing it, believe me, because I used to do photo. And, you know, basically it would take months to do one painting. And when I mistakenly spilled paint on one of my photorealism paintings, it's how this all happened. Because a friend of mine said to me, like, Murray, that's art.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I'd buy that piece. And it's because I splattered three or four different paints on it. And that's when my aha moment came. And I said, you know what, maybe there's something to that. And that's how it all started. So I still try to keep the real. as close as possible. Some of them are a little more realistic than others,
Starting point is 00:08:12 and it's just the way I feel that day. And then the rest is abstract. So it's kind of my style that I kind of coined as exact abstract. I love that name. I'm a words guy. I'm a marketer first and a podcast host 32nd. And I saw exact abstract, and I was like, oh, I like that. I think at the National, I had six.
Starting point is 00:08:37 on the go and I just basically tape them over top of each other and if I like a color on one I will lift one up and splatter the paint on the one below and it just gives me more artistic freedom and I have a lot more fun with it and I enjoy it totally. I love
Starting point is 00:08:53 the abstract story Murray I'm glad you went there. I love you're a great guest. You go your going places naturally where I wanted to go so Coutherstee they're like a true artist weaving a tapestry of interest into this episode So, Zach, talk to me about what brought you guys together, collector, creative.
Starting point is 00:09:15 You know, let's do a little dive there. Started this back in July, 2024. I've always been a passionate collector my whole life. But, you know, really I had been collecting sort of, you know, what's considered card art for many years. And I have a background in design and art myself. And I was like, you know what? I want to do this on my own. And so I started, you know, collector creative at that point.
Starting point is 00:09:40 And then Murray and I crossed paths at the National in Cleveland in 2024. I saw his booth and was fascinated with his work. And I just started chatting with him. And he and I really hit it off. And, you know, I just said, hey, at the time I had a podcast myself. And so I said that, you know, I'd love to have you on my podcast. And Murray came on and we sort of continued the conversation after. And, you know, with his artwork being so incredible.
Starting point is 00:10:06 but it's obviously, you know, at a certain price point for some people that's out of range. And it's obviously really large, right? The format's large in many cases. And so I said, hey, you know, would you be open to doing some collaboration and turning your work? You know, let me use it and sort of put my spin on it and create these collectible art pieces from it. And he said, yeah, let's try it. And so that was really the beginning, man. And we've just been sort of off to the races.
Starting point is 00:10:28 It was a real success on launch. And we feel really blessed and fortunate that collectors continue to like our work. like with the pieces you saw at the national and you got there on the desk, man. We appreciate the support. I love it. No, it's true art. I love the card.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I love the concept of this. And look, I mean, I will own one of Marie's, uh, affordable. It's very affordable for what it is, by the way.
Starting point is 00:10:54 But it is at a certain right price range. But the what I love about this is it takes the card format. But you guys were smart. Like you make it in different sizes. Like, you know, you want to show this off. You know, like I do.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Like, I'm, you know, proud of this as a piece because it's, you know, it's gorgeous artwork. It's different. And so making the different sizes I love. I love leaning into the, you know, one of 30, one of the 99, one of one. You know, the card culture side of it, very smart, a lot of fun. And I think you guys are hit it out of the park. What sort of guides, like what might be next or what you design or do with these collaborations? like on the next iterations or, you know, what kind of guides that process?
Starting point is 00:11:39 Have a lot of open dialogue and talk pretty often. You know, obviously with any of this collectible stuff, you know, timing is something. Obviously, Griffey and MJ are goats. They're timeless. So, you know, when we had done last year at the National, not this past one, but last year we had done a bunch of classic rookie cards, you know, and people really gravitated towards that. So for this year, we did obviously Ken Griffey Jr. and some others.
Starting point is 00:12:03 that we knew people would be interested in. But then it's also, like I said, timing. So, you know, who's relevant, who's hot, you know, what speaks to us. You know, not everything we've done is always sports related. We did a really fun Willy Wonka drop. And we actually had a golden ticket chase for that one that people really liked. And so, you know, that what we did around Halloween, right, with the candy. So it sort of just depends on what Murray and I feel.
Starting point is 00:12:28 And obviously, you know, if there's commission pieces that will dictate what we're doing. but, you know, I know we've talked about some fun stuff for collector station, so we're excited to get that rolling and that'll be a new subject for us. You know, I don't want to reveal too much until we're ready, but, you know, we're excited to collaborate with you guys and have some stuff in store. So like I said, I think it's a collaboration based on, you know, what's hot and popular, but also what's timeless and just sort of motivates and sparks us to create. I think this is, this is also glad to have you guys on. And I did dab into hobby hustle. Great job, Zach. Thanks, man.
Starting point is 00:13:06 And this is the side of the hobby more people need to see and know about. I know that people go to the national and they see Murray's art and they see other things. But, you know, we get a little bit in this sea of sameness, you know, of the industry of all the stuff. And this is the true art of the hobby. Like, you know, like figuratively, literally. and this is what really can make, I think, transcend it to, I think a place that the hobby is going to anyway, naturally with some of the more institutional money,
Starting point is 00:13:38 other things coming in, maybe different discerning tastes that appreciate this. But I just think there's a ton of room for this. I don't know. Obviously, you guys are in the space. You probably would agree with that. But I love, you know, your commentary on that. I'll say, I'll jump in.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I don't want to talk too much, right? Go ahead. Okay. No, I was going to say about Zach. He is so in tune with this whole, this side of the industry. And when you hear him talk about the process, to me, that is the most important thing. Zach is so good at talking about the process. And then seeing me actually sitting there painting live and him saying, well, there's him painting.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Here's the finished product. But he goes on and he explains that every single person. And I think that is so, so important for this part of the industry. And Zach, just go ahead. I just want to throw that in because you're incredible what you do. Well, so are you, buddy. Obviously, a sports artist of the year. I think that I think it's an interesting balance, Ryan,
Starting point is 00:14:43 and I appreciate, you know, the kind words. I think there's a couple things that I would like to touch on with that. And so one is obviously, you know, at the national, we're in a sports collectible environment. Murray does a ton of sports art. And so I think that obviously really speaks to it, right? And that's appropriate. And I do agree with you.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Obviously, you're seeing stuff with downtowns and cabooms and, you know, the hobby, as you said, is gravitating towards sort of this art aspect or angle, you know, within the collectibility. And I think what's really cool is that because of this collaboration with Murray, to his point, you know, part of what we want to do through the ACE program, which you guys will be a part of and part of being at the national is letting people see, hey, this is real art, right? That has then been transformed into these collectible art pieces. And I think sometimes there's some disclosures. And listen, this art card space is not something that I created by any means.
Starting point is 00:15:35 There was plenty of people before me. I'm taking my spin on it and putting my touch and my branding on that to what I think. And being able to work with incredible people like Murray only elevates that to next level, in my opinion. But, you know, there is a, not a disconnect, but there's sort of different levels. And the reason why I say that, and I mean no disrespect to other artists and other companies that are doing this. But, you know, there's a lot of AI and things out there like that.
Starting point is 00:15:58 And there's nothing wrong with that. right like everybody should collect what they want but i do think that having the real art behind these pieces sort of means a little bit more right and it sort of takes it to that different level um and it doesn't always look as clean and as crisp as some of the AI stuff but that's what being the artist is and the expression and you know having sort of a soul to it versus something that a computer created um i think that's a differentiator nation is not just a podcast we are your one-stop shop for all things a hobby. And then again, touching upon the fact that it's not just sports, you know, that it's outside of that. You know, it's the non-sports stuff. It's a pop culture. It's, you know, comics. All those are possible. And what's nice is no, you know, there's no way around it. Like we're playing in a little bit of a gray area. We're using IP and stuff that isn't always ours, right? And it's not licensed. It's all unlicensed. But these are all handmade pieces. It's all original artwork. We're doing very small print runs. And they are one-of-ones. And so we're trying our best to sort of walk that line, but also give collectors the things that they want and what they're looking for.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Yeah. That last one was a, I wondered about, and you went there. So I guess I'll ask you. Yeah, no, no, that's fine. And we could cut it out if we need to. No. No, listen, I've had conversations with lawyers, man. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:18:44 I was curious because I'm like, I love it. And I mean, I think the spirit of what you're doing, this feels okay to me, you know. But at the same time, I've been in marketing. and I've worked on the largest brands in the world. I know how this shit works. And so it's like, how does that? How do you navigate that? Well, like I said, you know, we try to tread lightly, right?
Starting point is 00:19:09 And we try to be very respectful of everything that we're doing. You know, again, because this is all original artwork, so it's interpretation and it is original. It's not a duplication of something that necessarily exists from a photograph or whatever it might be. The fact that we're making them all one-on-one variations, and the fact that we're doing really small print runs. So like a lot of those pieces, there was 10 of the standard size,
Starting point is 00:19:32 which are like our trading card size pieces. There was five or four actually of those X-Ls that you have. So we're talking really small numbers, right? We're not looking to make this something that is out of control and doing large print runs. And so those combination of factors, like you said, we're playing in a gray area. We're aware of some of the potential risks, but we try to be very respectful. obviously if anyone approached us, we would, you know, be happy to have that conversation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:01 It's original art, you know. So, I mean, it's, it's a gray area. But, you know, I think you're doing it the right way. That's all you can do. You guys collaborate on bringing it together. But I'm looking at like the King Griffey Jr. piece. I mean, obviously, and this is what I love the, the brilliance, Murray, and I love the, the, the splatter hitting the perfect paint.
Starting point is 00:20:25 of how you came into this, but it's so true. Like, it'd be cool to see it, like, perfectly painted. But it's interesting, and it's art because of the, actually the imperfections.
Starting point is 00:20:38 And I'm lumping a lot into this, Zach, but I want to hit on the AI thing. I mean, there will, I think there's always going to be a market for human art and an appreciation for it. And I think part of that is the live experience, the tactile experience,
Starting point is 00:20:53 the things we talk about, Murray earlier in the show. But I think, you know, getting it in front of people, like, it's clear the differences when you see them side by side. And I actually, I'm a proponent of technology and AI. I love all of that. But I'll tell you what, I'm going to hang it on the wall or having my office or cherish it or give it to my sons, it's going to be something that Murray painted and not something I just printed. A lot of you digest there, but either one of you can dive in there. I love creating from what I learned over the, you know, the 40 years of painting, right?
Starting point is 00:21:30 And it's a lot of, to show the green and the white along the side, that's what makes the card. And see, I had it all covered in splashes. So I splattered the green and the whites to where they are on the card. And it doesn't look perfect, but people who know the card understand it, that's what it is. and I sent another picture to Zach, and Zach gave me the thumbs up, and I sent it off, and that was it. We did the card, so.
Starting point is 00:22:01 And I don't know that I fully grasped that you guys did that. I see it, and I should have known it, but like graphic design with art, which in graphic design is art too, by the way. Like, they have really good ones, but clearly you are. I've been in the industry for 25 years and worked with some of the best art directors in the world, and this is what a little.
Starting point is 00:22:23 looks like, you know, professional, but unique, and really stands out. I mean, even George is my favorite player of all time, favorite card of all time, favorite player of all time. So, uh, I know, yes, I sleep with that night. I know. I'm kidding. Joking. I bet everyone in listening is probably, yes, he's got lovely. I know he loves it. I do. But, uh, it was like my most exciting moment in the national. But I will say, I wrote a piece on this. I'm going to send it to you guys. Um, There was a story, you know, about Eric and the piece that you did for him for Ted Williams. And the emotion that came out of that and the artwork, you know, bringing that out of him and him not realizing, you know, the whole story. Yeah, and that was that was kind of a really, a really special moment for me in my art career, basically, because, you know, it was kind of, Sean Mori.
Starting point is 00:23:23 told me, okay, he's going to come over. You know, he has no clue. And I had this, I had this done back in December, I believe. So, working with Sean and knowing that one day we're going to present it to him, and just how it happened, where I said, well, what do you think of this one? And then he went into it. He went into it about saying how Ted Williams is his favorite player, and he started telling stories about Ted Williams. And then that's when, when Sean, you know, actually said, you know, this is for you and that was the emotion yeah he had to break into it because he was that's the most surprise surprise of all time like no idea yeah and you can't plan that stuff and i mean the tears of emotion to me oh i was crying it hits me it makes me it gives me that feeling like
Starting point is 00:24:13 i'm proud and i feel like um i guess my art touched them and that was That was a very honoring moment. And it was such a special thing for him to actually stand back, look at it with tears in his eyes. And then when we actually let him hold it, he didn't even want to hold it. He was afraid. He loved it that much. And that was pretty special. So I'm glad you guys were there to film.
Starting point is 00:24:41 That was really good. Yeah, we're working with them. Eric is coming on the show. Anyway, it was incredible. And I think it's just, it's like putting a fine point on everything that we're talking about with the power of art and the place for that. And, you know, we need Tops and Zach and Murray to do a custom card. You know, let's keep the artwork going here. Let's, you know, let's get some parallels with some real art.
Starting point is 00:25:09 I mean, is that even feasible in these days? It seems like that's very, very rational, like, steps. Sport artists of the year, you know, the next, you know, if you want to create the next downtown, Caboom, whatever it is that people crave over. Why not get a real artist to do it? Well, Tops has done, you know, Project 2020. Yeah, they've done. I know they have, but it's, I feel like it, 2020 was six years ago, seven years ago.
Starting point is 00:25:33 100%. I'm not saying there's not time for a refresh, but I'm just, you know, they had Project 70. And what's interesting, too, is I was actually, I went to the Denver card show just this past weekend, which is a great show. Shout out to John and his team, who put that together. So if you're in the Denver area, check that out. They do it every couple months.
Starting point is 00:25:49 But I was literally walking by a vendor table. And this guy was like, where do you get all these? And it was Project 70 and Project 2020 cards. And so I think that, you know, again, with the resurgence and sort of the heat from the Kaboom market, the downtown market, you know, that art sort of card collectability, you're starting to see stuff people digging, you know, and educating themselves and finding some of that. So it'd be amazing, right? Like obviously, you know, Murray and I would be honored to be able to work with tops on something like that. but I think there is a space and I think that it is starting to evolve
Starting point is 00:26:21 and I think as more people, you know, find the art world within collectibles, you know, that's something that's going to just hopefully continue to pick up. Maybe we need, you know, we need the audience to start asking for it through some of these big guys. Yeah. That's something they help us for.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Hey, hey, Murray, Murray, I like to lead my audience to the water, baby. That's what we're doing here. 60 minutes at a time. Then the big guys are forced to drink, you know. Yeah, and I mean, when you... No. When you walk by her booth and you see Zach and the cards and what he's done with them,
Starting point is 00:27:03 I mean, I've seen, I watch it, because I'm sitting right beside him painting, and I'm watching him in action, and I'm watching the people, and sometimes they're three deep waiting to see them. And, you know, you kind of don't see that in the typical card booths anymore. People are looking for one card and specific whatever they're looking for. And people come by ours and they want to see almost all of them. And that's pretty special just to see it's a whole new, for a lot of people it's a whole new thing for them to see something like that.
Starting point is 00:27:36 And I know that we brought on a lot of new collectors this year in Chicago just because of Zach's cards. His presentation is the packaging is to me, is, bar and I'm the best I've seen. I love it. I brag about the packaging that Zach uses and his work and more than my own art. So that's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:28:01 I mean, I saved the black boxes. These came in. Normally it's like, even if they're a little nice, I know I got so much shit in my office that I like, you know, toss it. Those things felt so nice. I'm like, okay, I'm going to sit these over here where the nice boxes go. Like, very well done. And like, that's brand.
Starting point is 00:28:20 That's nothing. None of that was lost on me. Very nice. But, you know, it's all about the collector experience. You know, like you said, Ryan,
Starting point is 00:28:28 you have experience with this stuff. You know, I want collector creative to, when people hear that name and hear that brand, they know that we're working with real artists. We're creating real art and that it is an excellent customer, a premium customer experience, you know?
Starting point is 00:28:41 And again, I'm by far not the only person out there doing this stuff. other companies and brands do it really well and I applaud them but you know I do my take on it and like those big guys you know those come with that custom 3D stand that you have those displayed on that's the purpose right I want you to open it and love it and feel like you have something special
Starting point is 00:28:58 and then put it on your shelf and you know the smaller standard sized pieces you know coming in an acrylic box so you can hang it on your wall put it on your shelf so all that stuff is important you know and I as a collector myself that's what I expect and that's what I want so I appreciate you guys calling that out because there's a lot of work in time that goes into all that. One other thing, though, Ryan, that I do want to just touch on that does make us unique.
Starting point is 00:29:25 So each one of the pieces that you have comes with certificate of authenticity, but the back of each one also has unique, you know, verification number on there. It's a small little holographic number. That number is unique. And you can actually go to originalartwork.org, punch that number in. And that will pull up that actual photos of that actual piece. It will tell you when it was made, how many were made, and actually show you photos of your real piece.
Starting point is 00:29:48 So something like you can come to a. expect with verification from the grading companies. That's something that no one else is really doing in the space. And it's important again to me to tap into my collector roots that, you know, you have that level of authenticity and that, you know, if, if down the line, say, five, 10 years, you know, I can't remember exactly how many I made of that or what was made. You know, you can go look at the database, pull it up. And it's always there as a record, um, for everyone to see. So that is something that that does sort of separate us in addition to some of these other elements we've been talking about.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Oh, yeah. Hey, this month says one of one. There it is. I don't know. Well, it's, it's the only, it will be the only variation of that. So lightwave is one and hollow is your Griffey. So it's the only hollow Griffey and the Excel and the only lightwave of the Jordan. So there we go. Yeah, it does say hollow.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Boom. Hello, it's your boy. Sorry. Dad Joe's a score. I got four kids. I'm sorry. Gentlemen. All right.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Yeah. Yeah. We'll be creating. Murray's going to have a new original painting that will be on display at collector station. We'll take that piece. We'll create a series of the standard size collectible art pieces as well as some of the Excel size pieces.
Starting point is 00:31:07 And what's really cool is that piece will be exclusive to collector station. So that will be the only place that you guys can go see that, that you can buy that. and we'll have some announcements here in the coming months about that. So we're excited and really appreciate Ryan, you and I know Bella is behind the scenes, but both you guys have been awesome. And thank you for working with us and believing in us. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah, Bella's done all the heavy lifting. And I just approve what is always, yeah, in my mind, smart decisions on other things. This one's an easy one. This is exactly how we built. We built an experiential store for this. very reason, like to literally bring all of this together. Hey, Steve, we're finishing up one. Got about five minutes. But yes. So, yeah, that was an easy, an easy call. We're pumped.
Starting point is 00:32:01 That's why I got 3,000 square feet. I got wall space. I got this is, this is meant for that kind of stuff. We're very excited and we hope that your customers. It's more collectible art and designer toys and a different crowd. It's not necessarily the sports scene. So we're excited to get out there and be a part of that. Love it. Got to spread it out.
