Do you remember him? No. He's a pitcher for a while for a few different teams. He was kind of a young phenom for a minute there. M-I-T-R-E? M-I-T-R-E. Like the soccer balls. Like the soccer balls, yeah.

He was a bit of a phenom when he came up for the Cubs. It was like really people were like, oh, shit, this guy. And then he kind of flamed out and he bounced around the league. And then he, um, did one of the worst things in the history of mankind. Okay. So Sergio,

yeah. Armando Mitri. This guy is Buck Zoomhoff and Bruno Fernandez. If you mix those two people together, you'd get this guy. Um, so he's born February 16th 16th 1981 oh my god six days before me yes i was gonna say very close to jimmy's birthday way too close you guys would be

you know almost in the hospital at the same time he's born in los angeles though. He also goes to school in San Diego, but he also grows up a bit in Mexico because his family is Mexican and his parents are from Mexico, so they go back and forth. He'll end up going to San Diego City College for a while and Montgomery

High School in San Diego is where he pitched. So, like I said, his parents are are from mexico he grew up in tijuana which really yeah which as we all know is a very very good place for a young man to grow up it's a very i mean i you have it's a very moral yeah um you know it's a very uh it's a pious i would say when i think ofijuana, education is the first thing that comes to mind. I think they really care about the schools there mainly. You got to assume people live there and children are brought up there.

I've just never heard of one. There's Disney World, you know what I mean? There's Legoland, and there's Tijuana. You think of places that are good for the kids, and are those are the ones but that's what you think of and i'm sure there are nice neighborhoods in tijuana no americans ever seen them well we've never that's we would never see those at all you know because if you lived there you wouldn't go near that it's it'd be like if you lived in vegas you probably don't go to the old strip a lot because you don't want to get stabbed in an alley stay up in indian hills or whatever yeah some nice subdivision up there yeah maybe there's something shit like that so

he i don't think so though because he was he ended up taking multiple forms of fighting. He everyone thought he's going to be a fighter because he got in so many street fights just because that's what was going on in Tijuana. That sounds right. That sounds good. So he trained in boxing and wrestling and martial arts and all sorts of shit. Yeah. So he got involved in all sorts of fighting techniques to further his street fighting prowess, of course. Yeah.

You know, which he just, that was just out of necessity. Nothing else here. But apparently he ended up going, because he was a very good baseball player, so he ended up going to San Diego and playing baseball at Montgomery High School in San Diego. So he graduates high school in June of 99, and he goes to, like we said, what was it, the San Diego City College he goes to?

Yeah, not a good one. I mean, maybe it's fine, but not a lot of baseball players. You don't go, man, San Diego City College is where they all come from. So they're turning them out. I mean, you know, I think Tony Gwynn went to San Diego State, didn't he? And ASU has like Bonds and Reggie Jackson and guys like that went there. And some of these, but not San Diego City College. I never heard much from there.

I'm sure the wall of fame there is illustrious. It's Sergio Mitre, but then they took his picture down, I would assume, after. This is a guy whose picture, if it was up anywhere, it's not up anymore. Put it that way. And if it is still up, it's defaced, right? Yeah, he's got mustaches. He's got two teeth and a Hitler mustache now, so it's not good. That's the ultimate defacing, to just give someone a Hitler mustache.

It's just like, well, there you go. Now he's got a Hitler mustache. What do you think of that? And there's a dick shooting jizz on the face, for sure. Yeah, yeah. But see, the dick shoot, this is the thing, though, the subtlety of it. The dick shooting jizz on the face, while classic, don't get me wrong, and while I am a fan, the only problem with that is like, you know, like a Nathan for you style with that.

The only problem with that is that, you know, right away, that's not real. There's not an actual dick jizzing on his face. Whereas for a second, when the Hitler mustache is there and applied properly, I think for a second,

you go, does that guy? Oh, it's somebody drew a Hitler must, but for a half a second, you think that guy a hitler mustache and took his picture and put it up and just said hi i have a hitler mustache i'm not even gonna mention that for a second you think boy that guy sure regrets that growth damn what a fucking aggressive decision in facial hair, that is. So, I mean, yeah, that's... Watch out for that, you know what I mean?

Yeah. He'll end up getting married sometime in here. Oh? To a woman named Tanya, okay? He's going to get married to a woman named Tanya. And he's going to be also very, very happy here on June 5th, 2001. This is a good thing for him the june 2000 draft he is drafted by the chicago cubs oh in the seventh round of the 2001 draft so from that

college they recognized him he did well enough there that he knew who he was yeah baseball's like that they'll find your ass in baseball it's one of those they will find you well they have such an old time their scouting structure is yeah a hundred years old so they right they have it down to a science where they'll hear about you and find you trust me it's just funny oh they'll find your ass you do that sport there will be some 60 year old broken down man who eats denny's three times a day wait till i tell the cubs about you who's constantly looking at young men going look at the legs on him

he's a thoroughbred this one constantly with just a stopwatch around their neck and a fucking radar gun in a little bag next to him belly full of shitty hash browns that's it a bunch of shit eggs in there just a belly full of shitty hash browns that's it so there's a bunch of shit

eggs in there just a guts full of moons over my hammy it's disgusting so they'll find him and they do find him and uh here he is he goes they send him right away to boise which is every every young boy who grows up in tijuana wants to end up in Boise, I'm sure. I'll bet he can't even sleep at night. It's too quiet. Yeah, he's like, what is happening? I can hear the potatoes grow. What's happening? I need to hear a horse moan.

Yeah, some shit. So he's in Boise here. It's a low single A, Boise is. It's like rookie ball, basically. He goes eight and four there. He's a low low single a boys he is it's not it's like rookie ball basically um he goes eight and four there all right he's a pitcher by the way i don't know if i mentioned that he's a hard throwing little shit too that's the other thing he's a hard throwing son of a bitch he throws heat when he first came up i remember this for uh chicago here he was fucking throwing heat and people were like holy shit because like him and mark prior were around at the same time oh and it was like oh fuck man they are they got some young

fucking flamethrowers but me trey was had a little control problem at the time which is normal for a young pitcher sure so throwing hard at a young age it's hard to get your noodle to throw where you need to throw yeah nolan ryan was famous for that the nets were like i don't know about him and they traded him you know he's gonna fucking murder somebody yeah christ i don't know if we want to be financially responsible for the repercussions of this guy's pitching repertoire exploding albert bell's head yeah this could be dangerous so uh in boise eight and four with a 307 era one shutout uh he starts in 15 games so he's he does great not bad at all 71 strikeouts um let's see how many walks here 71 strikeouts and only 18 walks so that's wow that's a great ratio more than

three to one three and a half to one that's not bad not bad at all so the next year they bring him up to lansing which is in that's their single a lansing and uh yes the midwestern league here he's eight and ten there uh and he has a 283 era so that is that's good shit he throws 168 innings which is a good you know sample size 96 strikeouts 27 walks he's doing it yeah this is this is good shit here. This is what you want out of your young pitcher. Much more traveled than I am at 22 years old. This is amazing.

He's killing it. Yeah, he's only 21 at this point. The next 2003 starts out the season in AA on West Tennessee. Oh. Oh, boy. In AA. In AA, they're looking to see if you can hang with the people who have the good stuff and guys who can hit the ball.

Yeah. And does fine. 7-9 in 25 games. Starts 24 of them. Has a.334 ERA, which is just fine. They're happy with that. 128 strikeouts. And so much so that he's part of the September call-ups in 2003.

He makes it all. He skips AAA completely. Kid's 22 years old? Yes. He's going to the majors. He's going to the majors. It sucks that he skipped AAA because 2003, if he was in AAA, Rod was there in 2003 in Iowa.

Yeah, he would have played with Rod, and maybe Rod could have fucking talked some sense into him. Showed him the finer things like a banana margarita. What was that? Banana daiquiris. Yeah, he'd do strawberry daiquiris. But he said if he puts real fruit in them, then he can write them off. So that's a health drink that he's doing for his body for athleticism.

So he'd make sure to put a banana in it. That way he could write off all of his booze that he was drinking. He goes, that's a good way to look at it he could have manned the grill for rod in the parking lot of the ballpark as he's giving away hot dogs well yeah from his rv back there he would have he would have had a great time with him anyway maybe could have changed his trajectory a little bit because rod sure he would have This wouldn't have been Rod approved behavior later on. So he ends up being the second player out of the 2001 draft to make it to the majors with the Cubs. Is that right?

And the first was Mark Pryor. Remember Mark Pryor? Yeah. He was a phenom, Mark Pryor. Yeah, he sure was. Because they had Kerry Wood in 98, and then and then mark prior came up in 2003 and was like holy shit the cubs just keep getting these fire throwers and uh yeah mitre was up to arm arm troubles it just quit on flamed out shoulder problems and then he just wasn't the same guy

ever ever put it together again that's too bad and carrie wood was i mean god jesus having the same thing happened to him like that. Yeah. He was so good. Oh, his rookie year, he was electric, but they just couldn't. It's tough, guys. It's tough to last. It's tough to throw those innings and throw that hard and put that much chalk on your arm and last. It just is. That's why Nolan Ryan's so goddamn special.

That's what I mean, because you go, wow, he's the only guy who could do that for that long. And Roger Clemens, too. But for him, I mean, steroids helped him, sure. But, you know, he's still throwing at 44, though. I don't care what you're on. I'm not throwing 100 pitches. No! If I throw 100 pitches, I'll be in the hospital.

So I don't care what you just shoot me up with. Everybody else gets a three-day break for that. I'm going to need a three-year break for that. there's stuff in my shoulder when i move it around like this like i don't know if the mic picks it up but it crinkles and cracks and i know i haven't thrown 3 000 innings in the majors you know what i'm saying so i can't imagine no one ryan when he ended up quitting he threw his last pitch and fucking knew it and walked out because he was gonna have to go he knew he was gonna go up on his last pitch it was over yeah yeah it was done it's like well there's a bunch of shit in there i feel it yeah i'm not not doing this anymore

so he's the second player to make it from the draft next to a guy who's an obvious phenom and mark bryer i'm gonna say it right now that That's grace for him. That's got to be it, right? That's a good start. Oh, man. It's a real good start. I'd be thrilled with the tip top of that mountain. That's amazing. Wow, and you're in the majors.

And it's a September call-up. So when they call these guys up, it's almost like we expect this guy to maybe make the club next year. So we'd like to bring him up and show him what the majors are all about. And, you know, maybe they can help over the course of the last month of the season. But for the most part, showing him what it's all about, how it works, how to act. So then the next year when they come in, hopefully they have the best chance of spring training and they know what the deal is. So 2003, he's up for the Cubs. He only plays in three games.

He starts two of them. He's 0-1 with an 831 ERA. We threw biscuits. Jesus Christ. Wow. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 15 hits and eight earned runs. Wow. Three strikeouts.

Three strikeouts. Four walks. I can do that. It's tough. Major League. It's tough's tough man those guys can hit they can hit christ i mean and they could the problem is you can't overpower those guys right if you throw a 98 mile an hour fastball great they love that shit if it's near the plate if it's near the plate a really good power hitter i'll eat that shit shit up. He'll put that over the fence. Absolutely. That happens all the time. Again, I'll bring Rod up.

He mentioned one time about Gary Sheffield. I think Roberto Hernandez was a teammate of his. I want to say it was him. It might have been somebody else. But 100-mile-an-hour throwing relief pitcher. And he told him, hey, don't throw Sheffield fastballs inside because I don't care how hard you throw it. He'll get around on it and rip it down the fucking line.

He'll take you out of the park, you know. He'll put it in your fucking driver's seat. Yeah. And he said, he can't hit my fastball inside, the guy said. And Rod said, all right, cool. He went out there, threw him a 100-mile-an-hour fastball. Sheffield hit it in the fucking second deck or whatever. And he was like, okay, then.

What do you think of that? You dumb fuck. Told you. Don't throw Sheffield hit it in the fucking second deck or whatever, and he was like, okay then, what do you think of that? You dumb fuck. Told you, don't throw Sheffield fucking bitches inside, you dumb shit. And that was that. So you can't do that in the majors. You have to have a little more finesse and be able to spot the ball exactly where you want it. So that year, the

Cubs were 88-74. They were first in the NL Central, which with 88 wins, they won a division. That's amazing. That's about as low as you get for a win total to win a division. Yeah. They beat the Braves, actually, in the divisional series. Yeah, went five games with them and beat them,

and then lost in the NLCS to the Marlins in seven. That was the year. They won anyway. Well, that was the Moises Alou-Steve Bartman game oh 2003 playoffs yeah okay that's steve bartman dropping the fucking thing moises aloo and yeah them blowing the them going from going to the series to definitely not going to the series there so um he he was playing for the west tennessee diamond jacks and they were like come on up pal diamond jacks j-a-x-x what the fuck even is that put the third x on there don't be a pussy you know what i mean if you're gonna do that diamond jacks all over your face pow we're shooting diamonds out of this well and also like yeah it's jacks and

picture just get these mascots are silly have like a you know a possum with like a bukkake all over him you know like a real a jizz covered possum mask yeah possum or some bullshit and that'll be like a hat that people will wear. You know, college kids will wear it all the time. Yeah, drinking party. It's fucking Jizz Panda, bro. Yeah, he's fucking fun. Diamond Jack's Jizz Panda. Totally, bro. Diamond Jack's is always just a strip club anyway.

that's not a thing that happens the club's paying her and we'll try to make up what they're paying her on the tips that she earns sometimes she makes more than and that's fucking great for her that's tough man but she goes in she she would like rent out space at the uh at the bunny ranch there shit like that oh christ so the diamond jacks they're not a cubs affiliate anymore i don't think so he played uh okay obviously i told you he sucked in 2003 2004 though he's ready to rock and roll here okay he's gonna play in 12 games they bring him up um 12 games the the team is 89 and 73 which is third in the division that year which is more you know likely what it should if you have that record yeah yeah he does not do well he's two and

four which record can be deceiving though always because that can be very deceiving it depends on you need run support to win so you could you could go out there throw eight innings a one run ball and lose and what the fuck is that? You have nothing. But he has a 6.62 ERA, which is not great. Oh, my God. That's high in case you're not a baseball fan. That's a bit high.

Is averaging giving up six runs a game almost seven? It's a lot. Per nine, that would be. Per nine, yeah. If you don't know anything about baseball, ERA is basically how many runs you would give up if you pitched an entire game every game. That's how the stat works. So if he throws nine innings, he's giving up almost seven runs, which is terrible. Jesus Christ.

That is not good at all. 51.2 innings pitched. Jesus, 38 earned runs. Holy fuck. What? You don't want to have more hits than innings pitched yeah that's kind of a good way to look at something hits and innings pitched he has 71 hits and 51 innings pitched he has almost as many earned runs as he has innings pitch never mind wow that is terrible

gave up six home runs 37 strikeouts 20 walks so he so i mean he lost his control great when he came up it's hard i guess trying to spot it so perfectly you lose your control i suppose it's also the hardest job in any sport any sport i don't know how hitting a baseball i think is the hardest thing to do like i mean to actually technically do yeah yeah but you've got so many opportunities to do it all yeah moving pitches but you only have to do it once at bat yeah yeah yeah but pitching is more yeah i guess no pitching is hard as shit hitting a baseball consistently right i don't know how the hell anybody does that i mean yeah golf's a hard game technically but the ball's still and everyone has to shut the fuck up. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.

Or they're thrown out. Yeah, there's no obstacles. No one's trying to catch it before it gets to the green. You know what I'm saying? Nobody's tackling you before you hit it. None of that shit. Football's hard, obviously. Soccer's hard.

There's a lot of hard. Hockey is very difficult. You're ice skating while doing this technical thing. But hitting a baseball is, I mean, just regular people go in a batting cage. Oh, God. And not even the fast, fast, fast. Hit a 60-mile-an-hour one. You will miss.

So far. If you haven't played in years, you will miss 20 straight times. And that's if a guy threw an underhand in the majors. 95, you don't even see it. You're like, how do you even understand where that pitch is it's crazy i mean bunting in a batting cage yeah just trying to trying to time it it's hard yeah so in 2004 his this season is when he started out on the opening day roster because mark prryor was injured already.

He was already injured this time. He was then sent down to AAA after Pryor came back. And then he showed himself to do so well in AAA on August 13, 2004 against the, no, this is good for him, against the Albuquerque Isotopes. Is that right? They're like, yeah, whatever. The Simpsons do it.

Why not? The Isotopes, okay. That's what the Sim simpsons want is because they have a nuclear plant there yeah um so uh he pitched a complete game shutout against the the topes there really and um yeah he gave up only a double and a walk that both came in the first inning of the game so then he was pitched a perfect game for eight innings after that i sat down 23 straight batters striking out the last nine of the game nine in a row seventh eighth and ninth inning were all struck out the sides yep uh he was the pacific coast leagues player of the week how the fuck is the iowa cubs in the pacific coast league i i don't know what coast are they on exactly what coast of what crappie filled lake are they on i don't understand what's happening what walleye filled fucking fishing hole are they on the on the coast of so um he finished he finished the season with the

iowa cubs after going back and forth he had a a.297 ERA with the Iowa Cubs. Right there is where he plays. That's kind of his skill level right now. He returned to the majors after the September expansions and pitched a couple out of the bullpen and, as we know, didn't do well. But in 2004, he did make $305,000. That's fantastic. Yeah, he can be thrilled with that.

He's 23 years old. He's not bad. Does a he can be thrilled with that. He's 23 years old. He's not bad. Does a good job. 2005, okay, again, Jesus, man. He is 7-7, or I'm sorry, he's 2-5 this year in seven games started. Pitched in 21 games, so now they're putting him in the bullpen because he can't really start. He has a 537 ERA great which is definitely not good i mean

better than it was but i'd rather have that than fucking nine than nine or six and a half uh this is in 60 innings but he gives up 62 hits which is closer yeah um that's closer to the ratio you want 37 strikeouts and 11 uh on 23 walks but he gives up 11 home runs which is a shitload that's a lot yeah for 60 innings that's a lot so it's like he's daring him he's like putting one right down the middle because that on tape it does look fucking amazing when you strike somebody out with one that's beautiful like a great pitch like the best pitch they're gonna get and they just miss it that's a great shot that looks awesome it looks amazing well yeah a lot of times too if you have control problems

you get behind in counts yeah and then you have to throw you have to throw a fastball right down the middle that ump a real good one to call and yeah and then that's when you get crushed by good hitters especially in the where in the minors you can get away with that a little more in the majors those guys don't let you get away with that. Or if you're trying to – go ahead, sorry. If you're 2-1 or something on them, they're looking to kill your ass right then. They're waiting for that pitch. Or if you're trying to paint the corners and try to get the ump to start giving you,

you know what I mean, a little more lenient strikes, you've got to put one in the middle too. Yeah, and also if you're a guy who's got a 6.5 ERA, you're not getting those borderline pitches for a while. The umps generally wouldn't give you those back in the middle too. Yeah, and also if you're a guy who's got a six and a half ERA, you're not getting those borderline pitches for a while. The umps generally wouldn't give you those back in the day. He started off the season in AAA, and he was brought up in May and then was sent down after two games, which he didn't pitch in. They brought him up for two games. He sat there, and they sent him back down. Out. Yeah, somebody was out for a couple games, so they just filled in the roster spot, but they didn't want to use him.

So on June 14th, in 2005, he pitched his first complete game and his first shutout against the Marlins, actually. So a major league team. Yeah. A 14 nothing shutout against Josh Beckett, who had a bad day for Josh Beckett. He was good at that time. So December 7th, 2005, he has a drop of value in him. he has a drop of value in him just a drop because just enough in baseball when they see you pitch a complete game shutout they go oh he he has that in him right it's there it's there we just need to figure out how he can put it together so that makes that makes baseball guys and baseball coaches go like oh man and baseball general managers and managers go well we could do something with him you know what i mean i mean if you can do it once, and you can make it happen consistently,

if you can do it once, it's there. If it's in his body, I bet our pitching coach can get it out of him on a weekly basis. You know what I mean? Yeah. And especially the team that he did that to, he looked like a fucking magician against them.

You know what I mean? They're like, that guy's amazing. So the Cubs trade him, along with Ricky Nolasco and Ryaniel Pinto, to the Marlins. Oh, right back to the team that he just shut out. Exactly. That's what I mean. They saw him and they're like, fuck, he's magic, man. We got to have him.

Meanwhile, it's the only good game he's ever pitched in the majors. Well, whoops. But to them, they saw saw it first not just on film they fucking felt it they experienced it right yeah you know his best day this is for juan pierre remember juan pierre speedy center fielder he was fucking good speedy little center fielder wait yes look hitting little guy did he play for uh rockies rockies for a long time he was a rocky for a long time the marlins for a long time cobs he a Rocky for a long time. The Marlins for a long time. Cubs.

He went all around, but he was a good player. Sound like an asshole, but he's dark, right? Yeah, yeah. Dark-skinned dude. Right. I didn't know how to say that. It's dark-skinned. It's not offensive, but it feels offensive.

He goes 1-5 with a 5-71 E with a 571 era isn't getting much better only plays in 15 games starts seven so they tried that that wasn't working out 41 innings gives up 44 hits 31 strikeouts 20 walks okay the same thing every year same ratio same pattern falls apart for him this is what he does i feel like unless they're gonna come up

with something else here for him uh this is just what he's capable of that that seems to be his his full capabilities are on display and it's five and a half era jesus with you know not a great strike out to walk ratio so not terrific and uh he uh makes 330 000 this year not bad which is good because he's gonna need it because on december 29 2006 a son is born oh no a son is born he named him juan pierre he named him dark pierre mitre because he thought it sounded like a superhero which kind of does dark pierre mitre sounds like a superhero or some shit. That sounds awesome. Somebody write a comic book or like, you know,

Marlins 71 and 91. Not a real strong season for them. He does go 5 and 8 this year. His lowest ERA so far, 465 for him. Jesus Christ. That's almost average, though. Yeah, it's close. Another percentage lower, or another run less, and he's doing great.

Yeah. A quality start is four and a half, as near ERA is how they judge a quality start. So it would be this many innings and this many runs. It would equal out to a four and a half. So that's okay. 27 games. Starts all 27. Really?

They say, we're going to work you as a starter. 149 innings pitched. 27 games. Starts all 27. Really? So we're going to work you as a starter. 149 innings pitched. 180 hits. Oh, no. He gives up a lot of hits. He does. Definitely does. 80 strikeouts, 41 walks.

So 2-1, which is about bare minimum acceptable in the MLB. It's okay, but you want 3-1 is more like what you want. But 2-1, you're like, okay, fine. At least it's not. We'll deal with it. We what you want but two to one you're like okay fine at least it's not deal with it yeah we'll take it for a fifth starter fine fuck you go in there um so that's kind of what he's got going on here um kind of an average season he does uh like five games as a career high he had only won five in his whole career up to this point yeah you know he was what is this five and uh five and fifteen to that point. So he goes five and eight. He he set career bests for 27 starts. His innings pitched his amount of strikeouts. He had a twenty four point two consecutive inning streak of not allowing an earned run. Wow. So that. Yeah, that's almost three whole games. Right. You know, entire complete games of not giving up an earned run wow so that yeah that's almost three whole games right you know entire complete games of not giving up an earned run but they don't get around yeah of earned run i mean it

might be an under somebody gets an error or something like that but an earned run to go that long without an earned run that's why they that's why he keeps getting chances because every once in a while he'll throw a shutout one year he He'll have this glimpse. And in baseball, it's so fucking hard that they see that and they go, but he has it, he has it. Oh, my God, he can do it. I see him do it, yeah. I saw if he could just get that one day again. Maybe his arm angle was a little different.

Look at the film. They go crazy trying to figure it out. And it might have just been a mental thing that day that he had. It's like doing a backflip. If you get one around and land it, you know're capable you can do yeah like fuck flip again you can do it well then the next one you break your fucking neck yeah he had a 1.12 era in may in the month of may yeah which is the second lowest for a starting pitcher in May in Marlins history. Really? Yeah, did very well.

Another fucking glimpse of greatness. That's what I mean. You see that and you go, oh, it's there. You put it together for a minute. It's a diamond. We just need to figure out how to polish it. It's got shit all over it. It's a crack and it's yellow. It's a panda, but it's got jizz all over its face.

If we wipe it all off maybe we can sell the panda maybe we can sell the panda get make something back off of this so he began to have some injury problems in 2007 though uh he had a blister on his right middle finger that caused him to to miss two weeks oh which if you have a blister on your pitching right pitching middle finger and you're a fastball thrower, you kind of can't do that. You need to be able to, you know, it'll keep tearing open and you'll be bleeding on the ball. Yeah. That's not good.

So, then he had a strained right hamstring for a while. He had three stints on the DL in 2007 overall. So, that's, you can see that. He does make $380,000 that year. Great. So, you know, he does make 380 000 that year right so so you know he did okay he contributed that year he earned it so two thousand dollars he's made a million dollars uh 2008 he is uh doesn't play any games none because he fucks his shoulder up or his elbow up royally and has to have tommy john surgery oh no which if you're not a baseball person or now that every sport they call it that still because he's the

guy that they did it on but um it's a ligament replacement surgery to to fix your elbow and sometimes it works great and guys pitch for another 15 years and sometimes it doesn't quite work and uh it means that ligament is really fucked and it requires a new one it's a big sir it's the one it's the big surgery for pitchers and they go he's getting tommy john you go oh that's the may not come back because before tommy john that was the career ender if you had that injury it was over for you done you were done period um you could either be a knuckleballer or quit that was your those were your options so um there he was expected to miss 12 to 18 months by this, with this. So that's rough.

It's a long recovery time. A year to a year and a half. Yeah, yeah. It's that bad. It's that much recovery, and then you have to do all this rehab before you can start throwing a baseball at full speed on a surgically put in. Reconstructed. Reconstructed. Reconstructed ligament.

So September 30th, 2008, he is released by the Marlins. Oh, they do not like how it happened. They don't wait 12 to 18 months. They wait two and a half months and release him. So that's that. But he makes a shitload of money this year anyway. 2008, he makes $1.2 million. Oh.

Because I think it was probably a settlement. If you release somebody when they're injured, you have to do a settlement with them. You can't just fucking release them. You're not allowed to do that in baseball. Or you could release them, but you have to pay them everything. So sometimes they'll work out a settlement, and if the team doesn't want them,

that could actually be preferential for the guy because then he's open to sign with somebody else. Absolutely. And he is. Even then he's open to sign with somebody else. Absolutely. And he is. Even though he's having Tommy John surgery, these flashes of something. God damn it. He's still a commodity. And November 3rd, 2008, he is signed as a free agent.

Oh? This is a few months off surgery, a year before he's even going to be pitching again, by the New York Yankees. Is that right? Absolutely. They signed him up here, and yeah, they grab him just to take a chance on him. We've seen glimpses, and maybe we'll get him at a bargain, and then all of a sudden he comes to New York like a lot of fucking players do and become fucking amazing. It could be great. Well, the Yankees this year 2009 103 and 59

not bad first in the al east they beat the uh they beat the twins they sweep the twins in the divisional series beat the angels in six games in the alcs and then beat the phillies in six and win the world series so stop it yeah this motherfucker has a ring? This motherfucker has a... I don't know if he still has it now, but at one point, he had a big diamond-laden NY ring on his fucking finger. Unbelievable. Yep, yep. Him and Derek Jeter have the same ring.

Mariano Rivera, same shit. God damn it. Isn't that crazy how fucking worlds cross and bleed into each other here? So, yep, he was suspended the first 50 games of the season, though, for testing positive for Andro, which is the non- Oh, yeah, he's trying to heal faster. Yeah, he's trying to heal faster. I mean, the rest of his body's probably got some-

hasn't done this in a while. The guy's had Tommy John, for Christ's sake. He's going to be eating whatever the fuck his friends tell him is good for this. The thing is, he tested positive for this in August of 2008. Oh, so they tested him after his surgery. He had surgery. He wasn't even he wasn't going to play chemicals in there. Yeah, he wasn't going to play for a year and a half.

So who gives a shit what's in a system? If he's not going to play right now, what do you care what's in his system? But the other part is like major surgery. Major surgery. He's probably got a lot of chemicals in his body that you guys don't approve of. Who knows? He said, though, that the Andro came from a contaminated legal supplement purchased from GNC. GNC's got that shit on their shelves.

Well, GNC, the problem with GNC is that none of that shit is FDA. So a lot of times it has shit in it that's not on the label. No, you're probably right. That happens a lot. So that's why they tell the players, hey, don't buy supplements so you don't know what the fuck they are because if it tests positive, that's on you. So we can't suspend GNC, but we can suspend you. Right.

And the dope behind the counter at a GNC is just trying to sell you every piece of shit they have on their shelves. Yeah. Everything they have is good for you if you've got fucking surgery. Yeah, that's exactly what it is. So he served the suspension while on the disabled list anyway so he wasn't going to pitch at that point he was suspended it didn't matter anyway so he uh he had nine starts for the single a tampa yankees and the triple a scranton wilkes-barre

yankees also um you know to rehab his injury and then he replaced chen ming wong uh who i believe blew out his shoulder and had to have rotator cuff surgery at the time. He was so good for a while, too. He had a great fucking sinker. He kept the ball down. I love Chen Ming-Wang. So Mitre gets called up to the majors, starts his first game for the Yankees on July 21st against the Orioles, and got a win, actually. How about that?

And he got a goddamn World Series ring. Wow. He wasn't on the post-series roster but was voted a ring yeah the guys vote on it or i guess oh is that right oh no the guys vote on uh playoff shares and world series shares whether guys get shit but i don't know if rings the team decides who gets rings or what but he got a ring. They gave him one. He also made $1,250,000 that year. November 17th, he becomes a free agent because they only signed him for a one-year deal.

Then January, he re-signs with the Yankees again. Steinbrenner's there at this time too, right? Has he been dead yet? 2006, 2008? 2009, he's still there. He's still there, He's still there.

But he's senile now. He's yeah. This is this is Steinbrenner like ghost of George Steinbrenner up. I believe at this point up in the point is Steinbrenner may have given him one just for the fucking write off. Just yeah. Tax tax breaks. He definitely stands up and claps when things happen. But I'm not sure if he knows what he's clapping for yet.

Ah George. things happen but i'm not sure if he knows what he's clapping for yet yeah at this moment in time he is uh 2010 95 and 67 for second in the al east are the yankees they beat the twins they sweep the twins in the alds and then lose to the rangers in the alcs and six and um they were good yeah yeah he doesn't he pitched in the texas series that year but didn't pitch in the minnesota series at all um he got his first career save on august 19th oh which he pitched the last three innings of a game and he beat they beat the tigers uh this year he's oh and three but with a 333 era is that right not bad. Last year he had a 679 ERA, by the way, in 2009. But that was his rehab year.

They didn't really care about that. This year, 27 games, three started. So they're using him out of the bullpen mainly here. But 54 innings, but a 333 ERA, so not too shabby. They're not totally upset with his progress, I guess. He does make $850,000, though, as well. Not bad. March 25, 2011, so the end of spring training,

he is traded by the Yankees to the Brewers for Chris Dickerson. Oh? Okay. Okay, so, yes, then that's 2011. He goes to the Brewers. The Brewers were good then, actually, Then, that's 2011. He goes to the Brewers. The Brewers were good then, actually. 96 and 66. Yeah.

They lost in the NLCS to the Cardinals in the playoffs. So, they were pushing it. Yeah, they beat the Diamondbacks in the first round. Wow, the Diamondbacks in the playoffs. That's a long time ago. Post-2008. Holy shit. That's wild.

Yeah, you don't think of that right now yeah i know they're decent so far this year but the brewers have been figuring out the last i don't know 10 years or so they've been pretty damn good yeah well this was the time period when like ryan braun was still you know on whatever he was on and fucking they had prince fielder i believe still at that point they They had their little core of guys there for a little while. Gagne was there for a little while too, right? I believe so. He was done by that.

But whenever the Dodgers gave up on him, he was done. He went to the Brewers after that. But I remember because he was in the bullpen at a spring training game. Oh, really? The spring training fields here are fantastic because you can really fucking love it. They're fun. Oh, yeah, they're right there. I mean, it's like going to a Ren They're fun. Oh, yeah, they're right there. They're right there. It's like going to a Renegades game.

Yeah. Yeah, except you can be kinder to them. Yes, yeah, yeah. When you got Gagne who's made like $90 million, you can pick on him a little bit. He's a shit and he's bad. Yeah, we go to the Renegades game and this kid's like 18. He's terrified to even be there. We go a little lighter on them them we pick on the coaches more than still acting like i'm better than him yeah yeah well he could kick the shit out of

both of us at the same time probably he's got weapons on his feet and one a giant one in his hands and he's huge and young and athletic right besides that and we're three beers two hot dogs and a pretzel into the night and fucking not ready for combat let's just say just howling insults to this poor kid i've been going outside smoking a vape pen for fucking every other inning we're a disaster we're not ready for any kind of fucking i'm just hoping that kid smiles at anything i say hope so hope he just puts his head down yeah so for the brewers he goes oh and one with a 327 era so not bad i guess um this is only in 22 games 33 innings he is designated for

assignment though on june 27th after posting a.327 ERA in 33 innings. So they're done with him, basically. They're moving him somewhere else. So June 29th, 2011, two days later, the Yankees purchase him. Oh, they'll take him back. They grab him off waivers there and do that. They take him back for cash. They just bought him.

15 day disabled list. In four games with the Yankees he doesn't do very well. He has an 1181 ERA that year. Not good. An 1181 ERA, let's just say, for him. And he's granted free agency at the end of the year. He makes $900,000 that year. Total money so far, $5,215,000 for Sergio.

Done nothing. Done really very minimal amount of anything and that's his major league career he's done in the majors five mil in a ring goodbye five mil a ring and a lifetime 521 era 13 and 30 record yeah and 454 innings uh 206 for five million dollars that's pretty five million bucks i fuck i'd love to have those stats in five million dollars that'd be awesome terrific so uh february uh 2014 so that's you know a couple years later here um he's gonna kick around this is the thing he's gonna kick around a little bit in the in the mexican leagues he's gonna go to you know he's gonna kick all around. He ends up in Japan in February of 2014 here. Where did he end up in Japan?

The Rakuten Golden Eagles. Yeah. This is the team that had Masahiro Tanaka. That was the big sensation over here. Couldn't get it out. in a while but he's ready to go and uh he says japan is going to be the shit for him that's right uh problem is while in japan he's continuing to rehab his shoulder and uh it doesn't really work out with him that much uh 2016 17 18 19 he is good god this sounds exhausting he returns to california he coaches some baseball uh for an organization that he founded called the Playmakers. Oh, he made himself a job. He made himself a job, like a charity job. I'll make myself a job.

Then he signs with the Bravos de Leon of the Mexican Baseball League. Where the fuck is that? Yes, he was traded by them, though, obviously, to the Tijuana Toros. Oh, back home. Fuck yeah. Why not not let's do it which i believe isn't that where jake taylor was when they called him up to the indians and major league if i'm not mistaken i think he was when he woke up with the fucking sombrero on and the chick's leg across him and shit and he goes well if you're gonna say that do this shit at least say you're from the yankees and fucking hangs up yeah i think that's

where he was um so he is released by the toros in july of 2018 though how bad do you have to be to be released from a place where you're from and you've played in the majors that's wild uh well for tijuana he had a 330 adra which doesn't seem terrible. I don't know. That's not that bad. He plays for Mexicali Aguilos. Aguias? Aguias? Aguias? Whatever the fuck it is, he plays for them.

It's not going well. He had a.977 ERA for them. Playing with border teams. It's a lot of, yeah. He plays for the Saltillo Sapriceros. Saraparos, I'm sorry. Saraparos of the Mexican League. I don't know.

All sorts of shit he plays for. I love Spanish words. He plays for one, two, three, four. It's the same team. So five or four, five, six different Mexican teams in two years. My God. Well, one is a Venezuelan Winter League team. And then he also plays for Mexico in the Caribbean series.

Does that man ever sit still? That's what I mean. That's why your arm hurts, man. Sit down. It's exhausting. All together, though, I mean, he doesn't really ever put it together hardcore. I mean, all these teams, I see 736 ERA, 539 ERA, the next team he plays for. So he comes in. He has like a shit ERA.

They keep him for like 10 games and they release him i think it's just to say we signed major league player so and so yeah and they bring him in yeah and then maybe he shows up yeah maybe they get a couple extra people yeah um the end of 2019 though is baseball is going to be pretty much over for him here because uh september 1st 2019 he is a charge with attempted femicide which i believe is trying to kill a woman that's killing ladies right i think that's a lady killer they're not in a handsome way right homicide is just murder right yeah this is they tack it on on extra if that person's got a vagina. I don't know if this is like a part of a domestic violence bubble.

Like, you know what I mean? If you try to kill your partner. Kill your spouse, yeah. It's a femicide or dudicide. I'm not sure how it works. So this means attempting to murder her strictly because she's female. Okay. Now, this is a woman named Jasmine.

Employees at a Quality Inn in Saltillo alerted the authorities of a domestic violence situation taking place inside a suite. They have a suite there at the Quality Inn in Mexico? I'm sure they're using that term loosely. Yeah. It's got a wet bar. It's got that counter there yeah yeah that's all it is there's a small division in the room whether it's a it's not a door in a room though it's it's it's just like oh yeah this room's slightly bigger than that other room or they've got a table

it's got a table by the couch turned sideways uh yeah towards the door with a little table in front of it they're like you can eat there. Look at this. It's good for eating and working. Yeah, there's no sweets at the Quality Inn in Satio. So the incident at the hotel was caught on surveillance camera. In the footage, this is not a good sign. In the footage, this is surveillance footage, a naked woman, this Jasmine woman, was seen running out of a room. When people run away naked, that means that is desperate times.

Whatever they're running away for was way worse than being naked in the streets. That's what that means, which generally we try to avoid. avoid on either side of that brisk uh uh brisk example of fitness and energy is something either horrible yeah and the other end is magical or do you know i mean or they've got to outweigh each other is the point it's fight or flight yeah it's survival is why people do that so it's either survival or perversion and i don't feel like she's perverted in this situation so um she's seen running out of the room going to an elevator area before mitre chased her down oh and he said they see that on the yeah he's i would hope his dick's not flopping around too i mean they're both naked running after each other that's weird and there's a man looking watching this uh seeing this happen on the surveillance video.

But then Mitre rejoins the team and was pushed as one of their leaders, signing autographs and making videos for the team's official YouTube channel. And then the charges are dropped after that. Oh, wow. So, yeah, I don't know what came first, the chicken or the egg there, but it seems like everyone's going to ignore this. And they were like, eh, never mind. Unbelievable. Misunderstanding.

They'll handle it in-house and we'll move forward. A couple of bucks to the right person. That's the thing you also hear, too, is that there's a lot of corruption, obviously, as we hear. determine how much the girl had suffered before she died. This was important because there was data on child abuse from days ago. He had lesions of different, I guess she, she had lesions of different i guess she she had lesions of different colors that imply blows from before yeah so yeah the second autopsy revealed a fracture at the base of the skull and several blows along the spine of the baby the it's fucking ridiculous how do you hit a baby so hard you break its skeleton that's insane how so the the baltazar person explains that he it's a guy i'm sorry baltazar he began to investigate mitre's past and thus came across a video where the player was seen running

naked chasing i guess he was running naked too with his dick flopping around everybody's naked yep uh so um yeah he uh the so yeah they got that out the video they talked about that in court as a consequence of what happened that night sergio mitre was arrested and spent four days in jail he was prosecuted for family violence and the case ended in a conditional suspension it's a process that consists of the aggressor acknowledging his responsibility and agreeing to comply with a series of reparation and protection measures for the victim. So, as Balthazar explains that the Jasmine, the woman he was chasing in the video, opposed that agreement.

Mitre did not even finish paying him as he only had a few sessions with the psychologist who was not a specialist on the subject. They go on to say, we have the data of other victims

who were Sergio's partners and his own friends. Her friends that we interviewed were between, not beaten interviewed were between 20 and 22 years old. They knew about Jasmine, and they said that she was down, that he would have hit her, but that was between them, and she didn't do – it's hard. The translation's really hard here. It doesn't make sense, so I'm trying to translate from a clunky translation. She's sad about the conflict between the two, but it's between the two of us.

Yeah, doesn't want the friends involved, she told them. And that's a cultural thing also because it's a very masculine society, and the privacy fucking matters to them. Yep. The Balthazar person went on to say it was a very great injustice that caused Sergio to be released and then had Liliana and the baby as victims. We put the background in our report as of the timeline. This is important because in femicides it is always necessary to establish if there is impunity and why. This impunity comes from Jasmine accusing Sergio.

In her investigation folder, we found evidence that it was to be classified as an attempted femicide, more serious than family violence. You don't get out with that. You stay in jail. So they said in the investigation folder it appears that Jasmine was threatened with a knife by Sergio more than just the hallway because imagine what went on in the room if that happened in the hallway. This woman was

that she was pregnant and the proof that confirms this was found in Sergio's house when they did a second survey of the crime scene. I guess she had sonogram pictures and shit that she was forced to have an abortion and that she was beaten and strangled. Wow. Um,

that on the day of the events in the hotel, she was face down naked and forced to have sexual relations. So he raped her, uh, that Sergio placed himself on top of her and smashed her face against the floor, breaking her nose and spraining her neck. Oh my God.

Yeah, this is... Fuck, man. For Liliana's defense in her trial, they obtained the statement of a woman named Tanya, who was Mitre's ex-wife. Remember her? Yeah. This was given in 2017 before a court in California

when she requested a restraining order against him for her and her children. The document reads the descriptions of different moments in which, since she's been pregnant, she's been the victim of verbal violence, shoving and hitting by Mitre. In one of those episodes, she lost a baby when she was nine weeks pregnant after a physical attack. That's his thing. Oh, you want it to get worse oh my god this guy to get even more likable so he's been accused of raping a baby to death with an object uh beating babies beating women chasing them down smashing their faces fucking chasing them down hallways he also beat one of his two dogs to death how do you like that get out he's like a comic book fucking cartoon you couldn't get any more of a villain than this guy

if you were if you were making a bad guy in a movie and you gave him all these qualities someone would read it and go jesus christ it's not a human being. You've made a crazy villain. This is like the Riddler. He beat his dog to death? Yeah, he beat a dog to death. He did it in front of Tanya and the two kids, too, by the way. Of course he did. So why not? According to her statements, the minors were also, quote, violated by their father.

I don't know if that means beaten. I don't know if that means touched. I don't know what. violated by their father. I don't know if that means beaten. I don't know if that means touched. I don't know what. On one occasion, he picked up the eldest, old junior there,

by the hair and dragged him down the stairs. This was witnessed by Sergio's mother and one of his two sisters, whom he also beat, by the way, when they were a couple. Yeah, he beat them too. In another violent incident, Tanya picked up her children at school and did not return to the house where she lived with Mitre. She said that the three left with only what they were wearing, and the same day he called the San Diego police to file a report, or she called to report domestic violence that day.

She ran away that day. Many of these events occurred when he was an active player with the Marlins and Yankees. What if his only good pitching days were after he beat his wife? He felt like some... Christ. The case of another woman, Alexandra, or Alejandra, she's a woman from Torreon,

who was also, she accuses, raped by Mitre as well. She told of how he kicked her, left her out of breath and kicking and gasping for air on the ground while laughing at her and tried to put a cigarette out on her face. And she did that. What kind of? He's the worst kind of person. Absolutely. Sadistic. He's sadistic. He needs people to fear him yeah this is i don't even know what this is this is like a this is a villain in a bad a

cheesy movie villain is what this is he's a cheesy movie villain he's not even a real character jesus he's that fucking horrible um they said that um uh liliana had his wife has this late girl with the dead baby here underwent psychological examination where for the first time she gave her version of the facts her narration begins from days before the death of the baby she gave an account of different moments in which she and her daughter were beaten. Both of them. How Mitre broke her cell phones, forced her to have sexual relations, and tried to strangle her. So held them hostage, beating them and raping her for days.

Okay. On July 8th, Liliana left the baby alone with him. When she returned, the girl had a scratch on her nose the next day um the baby woke up or she woke up and the baby had um black eyes okay which indicates obviously she's been hit in the face lilliana told her relatives the girl had fallen down so she lied for him that week according to her story mitre was pressuring her to buy a poor abortion pills because she was pregnant right then right she didn't and since she didn't he pushed her and beat her and punched her stomach to try to get give her an abortion oh my god and i know a diy yeah right the kit. And I realize that domestic violence is tough to deal with, and it's hard to recognize and get out. And all those shitty feelings.

Your baby's being beaten. You got to do what you got to do. Your baby's punched. Get the fuck out of there. Grab the baby and run out naked. I don't care. Never come back. Run away and scream.

Yeah. If you leave, come back with five cops. You know what I mean? A one-year-old was hit in the face. You go, I'm going to go to the store, and you come back with as many cops as will follow you. That's what you do. Like, I'm sorry. You send the cops, and you don't even go back.

You don't even have to go back. That's where it is. Go get my baby and fucking arrest that asshole. You know? So, like I said, it's hard to, to who knows who knows what kind of fucking life this girl had to cook up with a 39 year old asshole like this and then not have the wherewithal to protect her baby like we don't know how this fucking lady came up we really don't we know she had a kid when she was 17 right so that's hard you know so i don't know a second one on the way right now she may

have had him before too who knows yeah she's an abused teenager at this point so yeah it's it's hard to do that because we don't know what what kind of control guy this guy has i mean i'm not trying to take i'm not trying to put responsibility on or take off of her because i don't know what her role is but he's clearly a predator kill this guy he's clearly a predator who targets young girls that probably come from dysfunctional families because this is the third or fourth girlfriend he's had that's under 25 yeah that's he likes that's what he likes he wants to control them because it's easy it's easy to control them yeah he treats them like his kids yeah so she was a single mother at the time and she knew that having a child would bring her more problems

with her family her because her her parents kicked her out of the house because she's pregnant even though she already had a two-year-old almost so that's why she was staying with mitre and the liliana didn't want to get rid of the baby she was having she wanted to have the baby so um they said that on july 11th four players from the sarah peros arrived at the uh at the apartment of Mitre, or apartment, I think is what they're saying here, to prepare something to sell. Sell his property? I guess stuff to sign or do.

With the baseball season suspended, the players were trying to find this way to earn money. It was during COVID. So they said Liliana narrated that. Oh, no, this is before. This is it? No, it's 2020. Yeah. Liliana said that that morning the baby was crying and that she was washing the dishes. Liliana was not the baby.

Check picture the baby crying while washing dishes. Why do you make me do this? Sterilize your own fucking bottles. Yeah. Sergio was outside with his friends barbecuing. They were cooking. Yeah. They're on the grill sergio entered the apartment took the baby by the arm and carried her up the stairs toward a loft where the bedroom is is what liliana said liliana says that when she was running upstairs

for her daughter she heard a thud and saw her daughter crying worse than before lying on the wooden floor after a while sergio and three of the friends went to deliver order oh they were they were grilling food and delivering food to people for that they grilled for extra money oh that's what they were doing him and the team yeah home cooking and selling that as baseball players like oh look little baseball players are cooking this up and bringing it to you one of them stood there and watched as the baby began to vomit. Liliana went to her mother's house, and together they took the girl to a doctor in a pharmacy where, without thoroughly checking her, he prescribed her medicine for a stomachache. It got upset stomach.

The girl kept it. The baby wanted water and kept vomiting. So it was thirsty and vomiting, this poor baby. So Liliana returned to Sergio's apartment. When she arrived, the baby, Jesus Christ. Sergio pulled the baby away from her. Yeah. And said, quote, I'm not going to return your daughter until you bring the abortion pills.

Oh, God. Well, Liliana went and got them. So she could get her baby back. Sergio put two of them in her mouth and violently threw the baby at her. Holy. Like a curve baby or something. He's really fucking hucking it in there. Jesus.

The baby was lying on a mat on the floor, already feeling very... baby or something he's really fucking hucking it in there jesus right in the outside corner um the baby was lying on a mat on the floor already feeling very sick liliana began the abortion process and laid down next to the baby who kept asking her for water who she would drink it and then vomit it up immediately of course because her stomach is fucked up yep since um liliana didn't want to have sexual relations with sergio she says that sergio didn't lie down in bed with her and uh spent the night and so she spent the night on the floor next to her daughter because sergio didn't want her in the bed because she wouldn't fuck him because he forced abortion pills into her mouth and beat her baby

holy shit the next day the baby wasn't looking good feeling bad lilliana put the baby in the bath and since the baby wasn't responding sergio began to give uh the baby cpr that's when they asked the neighbor to help take them to red cross um so yeah they said um she claims to be a victim of violence and that is enough for the balance to be loaded on that side. It can influence the mood of the judges so they can say that the prosecutor's office offers nothing but what the lady said is sufficient proof because it's family violence. Liliana always, this is his lawyer, Liliana always spoke very well of Sergio, who only helped them. I have a video where she in front of her parents declared that she's 19 yeah and did you pay her is the other thing to say that in the

camera she's a 19 year old girl who has nowhere to go and nowhere to live and parents don't want her they're pregnant and come on um Jesus Christ they also say that the the players lawyers manipulated and scared Liliana into recording that video, that's the accusation from the prosecution, and said that they did everything possible to get them to take the processes together so she would not incriminate him, and that Mitre asked him at a hearing. So they tried to have the cases tried together so they could not incriminate each other, but it was split. Okay. That's God. This is hard with the translation. So they say that every word that Liliana said is corroborated with videos from the pharmacies,

notes from the place where she took phones to be repaired, which for which reason they allege are not just, they're saying that he broke them. According to his lawyer, the girl was always crying. Even when Sergio was not in the apartment meaning the baby everything indicates that the abuse was on the part of the mother but now she changes her version and declares sergey declares against sergio to avoid conviction okay if a baby is punched by a man uh the baby doesn't just stop crying when the man walks away yeah well he's not here anymore you're all good now. It still hurts.

It's probably still a, oh my God. They said in the psychological profile, Liliana says a lot of nonsense things. This is from his lawyer. Very fanciful ideas about the facts. You know, what she saw. The experts determined that his account, that her account is credible despite all the inconsistencies and inconsistencies in her testimony as well. She's likely a bad mother,

but he is historically a ginormous piece of shit. Oh, my God. The lawyer said, we think that the girl died from an accidental blow which was caused when she was left alone in the apartment.

They said, we have a report from the mechanics of the injuries that say the girl suffered a blunt blow to the head and back that was the cause of death, Uh-huh. They're confident in testimonies offered by four youth players of the Sarah Parros who were with the couple that day outside grilling. The same neighbor who points out that she never heard beatings or acts of violence in the apartment above, they said. OK, the lawyer insists that Sergio was not even with the girl in the hours in which the prosecutor's office established that the blow that killed her was received. the blow that killed her was received. So they're saying he also they rely on the testimonies of Liliana and her relatives who say that that they treated the daughter badly.

So, wow. That is fucking wild. They said that he adds that he attends to women in situations of gender violence and also to those accused of this crime. This is his lawyer here and assures that many of those who decide to denounce it is not because of the beatings, but because they find messages from another woman in the husband's cell phone. OK, so she's jealous. And so she beat her own kid for it. Yep. They said that's when they all go out. The doctor was also negligent,

did not analyze the causes of vomiting and prescribed it without review. If he said, let's run her to the hospital, the girl could have been saved. Wow. They said there are several people who point to Liliana herself. Those witnesses were provided by the prosecutor's office, not us. The grandmother herself said in an interview to give the girl because she did not want her. She wanted one of the grandmother to watch her. The neighbor who took them to the hospital says Sergio was resuscitating the girl

with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and Liliana told him leave her alone because she probably thought he was making out with her. Worse off, he's probably resuscitating because he doesn't want to go to jail for murder, so he's trying to resuscitate the baby so he doesn't have to involve the cops in this. And she's saying, leave the baby alone because you did this. Yes, that's what I'm saying. This is a fuck. Oh, my God.

Wow. So they talk about his lawyer says that when Sergio is exonerated, he's going to initiate a legal process against liliana for the repair of the damage to him okay okay so to go over it um history of violence against other women such as his own mother yeah sisters at least five ex-partners anybody with a vagina anybody near within arm's reach and has a vagina, he's going to try to hit them. So in turn, they talked about her absent father and Liliana of the baby. The baby's father wasn't around. Liliana's youth, she was 17 when she had her baby, 19 when she met him, who's 39. And the psychologist called it perfect breeding ground for abuse. They said there's another term we call brutal force, which not only focuses on the amount

of damage, but what but who you do it to the baby because she's a defenseless girl is what we established that she existed. I don't know what that means, but that's a translation. There is a brutal force to this inability to defend yourself. And the motivation was anger, helplessness. Like we said, why would I attack the girl? The aggressor in this case also indicates the nature of the crime, blah, blah, blah. Why do I hit women?

Why don't I hit male friends? In this case, there is a vision of a conception of women that the aggressor has as disposable objects. The victim was attacked in this way. She was completely vulnerable and dependent. Sergio meets this profile he has an inability to control his anger a violent temperament in all contexts a history of gender violence and violence against children they said they are not monsters they are not crazy people who cannot stop they are healthy children of the patriarchy because there's a cultural social

social and historical validation to this type of crime. And this is also in the Mexican culture they're talking about, which none of us, I don't know, we're not, we don't live in Mexico. I have no idea. I'm not going to try and besmirch an entire community. There's definitely a bit of a machismo thing there. There is. Absolutely. I've known a lot. We lived in Phoenix, so plenty of Mexican, I've known plenty, plenty, plenty of Mexican people,

and there's definitely the stereotypical male in that in the in mexican mexican culture versus the stereotypical woman the woman's dressed pretty all made up and the man is wearing fucking cowboy boots and guns and a big fucking hat yeah he's a tough guy that's like that yeah yeah that's what it is yeah um my god um Yep. My God. So they say that. My fuck, man. So they said in prison, Sergio is passing it on to every mother. What does that mean? He already has a new partner.

They bring him tennis shoes, his food, his gifts. He's the king of the prison. That's what they say about him. Oh, my. He's got new women bringing him shit. And like, wow. Wow. they say about him he's got new women bringing him shit and like wow um so what do you think's gonna happen in a in a courtroom down there it should be a circus and he should be going to prison for the rest of everything well he is found the verdict jimmy you're nervous i can see it. You're like, oh, no. He is found guilty. Hey. Of rape and murder.

Shit. Yes. He, oh, this is good shit. He is sentenced to, you, sir. I would say this with fucking soul. You, sir, may fuck way the fuck far. I can't even get you far enough off the edge of the earth to fall off of. You can fuck that far off.

40 to 60 years in prison. In a Mexican prison at 40 years old? It's over for you. That's rough, chief. That ain't good at all. That's not going to go good. Also ordered to pay more than $66,000 in restitution damages to the victim's family um they said yeah he is guilty um found him guilty of everything right they say he tried to cover up the death by alleging it was the

product of an accident he subsequently attempted to justify his act by bringing up the abuse leliana endured from a former romantic partner she said he said well her ex-boyfriend used to beat her up, so she must have done this. They said the prosecutors noted in their closing in the sentencing that Mitre continued to punch a defenseless baby in her lower back after an argument ensued between him and the mother. He was just doing that to get back. Yeah. The girl's mother rushed her to the hospital. They go through all that. Talk about the black eyes and everything like that mitre's lawyer said he would be absolutely you

know appealing this this is this is ridiculous this is terrible i'm just glad that the only person that's willing to defend him is a man who paid who he paid to do it yeah and just bald face fucking be like what are you you, this is crazy. My client. There's no friends coming out for him. That's wonderful. Good. That is wonderful.
