This is fun stuff. So people killed in the ring. This is fun stuff. You know, what is just, you know, what's just a thing that happens and what are things that are just neglectful? And I think he's okay to continue and then he dies.
Starting point is 00:03:32 We'll talk all about it. And then for small town murder, oh, a subject I can't wait to get into, a documentary called American Hollow, which is, it's from like 1999, but it's an insane, it makes the wild and wonderful whites of West Virginia look like they're doing amazing compared to the people in this documentary. And there's a murder story involved in it too, which is like you can see it coming in the documentary and then the guy actually kills a person. You're like, totally, yeah, obviously, duh. It's crazy. Patreon.com slash crime and sports is where you get all of that. So join us there. It's a. Patreon.com slash crime and sports is where you get all of that. So join us there. It's a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:04:14 And you get a shout out at the end of the show, of course, where Jimmy will mispronounce your name, wanting to get it correct, but not having any success doing that. So that said, it's time to get into our our scumbag of the week. Let's just go ahead and call it what it is here. It's Greg Hardy, everybody. Yeah. Greg Hardy. If you don't know who he is, he's a football player and an attempted boxer and MMA fighter and a recent Walmart employee. So he's a real piece of garbage.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I mean, wow, there's a 911 call in this episode that will make your fucking head spin. So it's crazy. And he looked at playing for the Panthers with the white fucking contacts and the shit on his face. Yeah, and the cowboys. He put the war paint and stuff on, which a lot of guys did. If you do that and you don't beat women, it's fine. But then when you do some of the wild shit he did, it's a different story.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Jesus. Yeah. It doesn't make you look good. So he is Gregory McCory mick carl his middle name is mick carl yeah mick and then carl with a k okay mick which sounds like a new burger from mcdonald's the mick carl here's a guy named carl standing there it's not very good no carl likes it though he really loves it carl is the uh chicken filet sandwich that we found under the fryer from last week uh well it's got some toppings that normally don't go on there also so you know
Starting point is 00:05:32 carl's a weird guy what are you gonna say still selling it he put spaghettios on it what do you know what do you want that's that's what it comes with so you know mick carl he's a big guy as we know he played defensive end so you got to be a huge, fast, strong, scary person to play defensive end in the NFL. He's 6'5", 280 when he plays in the NFL. Wow. Just a big, giant monster of a guy. Born, this is wild, born July 28, 1988. Seems like he'd be older.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Holy shit. Seems like he's done so much dumb shit. Seems like he'd be much older 35 years old oh did i mention his full name is gregory mccarl hardy jr did i mention that because that's a fact everybody he's a junior of course he is that man of course he's a junior obviously this is gregory mccarl i assume that's why he's mccarl because dad's mccarl and uh Obviously. You told me there's another Gregory McCarl Hardy out there. I assume that's why he's McCarl, because dad's McCarl, and his dad is Gregory Hardy Sr. There he is, McCarl Hardy Sr., and his mom's name is Lan, something like L-A-N.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I don't know what the hell that is. Some sort of internet connection, I think, from back in the day. Lan Lan. some sort of internet connection i think from back in the day landline so uh yeah he uh not much really honestly he's one of these guys that somehow besides when there's police involvement he manages to keep his personal life pretty personal um doesn't talk about in interviews about his family life growing up or any of that shit no like oh you know when i was a kid none of that shit none of your business he's one of these guys tell me mccarl senior didn't just dote on him and he's not bragging about it we don't know he might have who the hell knows he
Starting point is 00:07:14 keeps his he also he has a little brother we know that um and he keeps even with like his family family like it's he doesn't really advertise his family very much, like his kids and shit like that. It's difficult to find. But whatever. He grows up in Tennessee. Millington, Tennessee is where he's born. And he goes to college, though, at Ole Miss.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Is that right? Yeah, goes to Ole Miss down there. And he plays all four years. He's not a redshirt freshman or anything. Or if he is, he ends up playing four years still. So as a freshman, he plays in 12 games and three sacks. As a sophomore, he plays in 10 games, has 10 sacks. Wow. Sack a game is impressive.
Starting point is 00:07:59 People like that shit. He also had 18 and a half tackles for losses which is big too in 2008 as well here he plays uh let's see nine games and has eight and a half sacks so he's good for a sack a game his senior year he only has five sacks uh in nine games but that's all right uh he makes himself eligible for the 2010 nfl draft wow so 2010 nfl draft jimmy number one pick overall oh my god it was a quarterback was it was it uh was mine number one no we just no we did it he was like 25th or something remember a bunch of teams passed on him and they were smart i don't know matt stafford he was that he was we just like two weeks ago or three weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Sam Bradford. Remember that one? Sam Bradford. Sam Bradford. That rich motherfucker ruined the NFL. He has so much money. Never fucking. Sucks.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Never mattered or anything. Nope. 83 career games for Sam Bradford. Wow. Where he has 103 touchdowns, picks he's like a he's a decent he's always a decent second tier quarterback and he got 50 million guaranteed yeah 50 something million guaranteed in his rookie contract which is wild and dominican sue is numbers two overall uh defensive tackle so a lot of defensive players will go. Gerald McCoy, number three to Tampa.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Let's see other defensive players. Yeah, there's a lot of guys. Jason Pierre-Paul at defensive end goes number 15. So a lot of defensive ends, a lot of people chosen in the first round. Who is Tim Tebow, number 25, Des Bryant, number 24. It's that draft. But they don't get to Greg Hardy because I guess he only had five sacks a senior year he's not drafted until the sixth round wow pick number 175 there's only seven rounds so pick 175 here uh right after a guy who played zero games in the nfl
Starting point is 00:10:00 as i'm looking at this the sixth round most of the guys actually made the league at some point the only guy there's two guys in the whole sixth round who never played a game in the nfl and one of them was drafted right before hardy here um so carolina the panthers select him at with pick 175 and um yeah they're excited They think they got a steal. Yeah. He sticks around with it. Yeah. A guy that's a monster on defense. Yeah. A guy who didn't have a great senior year, but he's big and fast and strong and, you
Starting point is 00:10:32 know, under the radar a little bit. Sure. So, why not? 2010 Carolina Panthers. They are not a good team. No. They are 2-14 that year. Ouch.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Jesus. Wow. That is really bad. That sucks. Was Cam Newton? Cam Newton wasn't the quarterback yet, was he? No, no, no. Not for another couple years.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Who the fuck was it? I don't even know. God, they were going through a bunch of shit, guys. I think Jake DeLome was gone for a few years, and they had a bunch of other garbage guys in there. So 2010, Carolina. He plays in 15 games but doesn't start any. So it's hard to know exactly how much he played, but he does have three sacks and a safety. So, good for you.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Wow. Not bad. Three sacks and I don't know how many. It's weird. It's not like the NBA. Right. Yeah, we can tell minutes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:20 It's a star on a 2-14 team, though, with three sacks and a safety. That's pretty good. You're sixth rounder. You're like, that's pretty good. You're sixth rounder. You're like, shit. I mean, that's sixth rounder. If he makes the team, you feel like you stole something. Right. He's not even starting.
Starting point is 00:11:32 He's probably just in some sort of package, and that package seems to be working. $20,000 base salary, $115,786 as his bonus, $435,786 he makes this year. Not bad. Not bad. His sixth round pick doesn't make $56 million guaranteed. A little difference between his and Bradford's contract there. He's already contributed more than bradford slight difference yeah he's contributed a lot more headlines than bradford bradford i can tell you that the only thing bradford would do is break his leg and then people would you know
Starting point is 00:12:13 hurt himself bad and they'd go oh look at that so 2011 ron rivera comes in as coach john fox was coached the year before and they go six-10. So, Rivera, I think Rivera's still there, isn't he? Or did he get fired two years ago or something? He was there a long time, though. Yeah, I think he moved on somewhere else, to be honest with you. I don't know where he's at now, but he's definitely working. Yeah, but he was Carolina's coach for a good
Starting point is 00:12:38 seven, eight years, something like that. And Jack Del Rio. Yeah, Jack Del Rio. So, this time, this year, he starts all 16 games greg hardy oh so in a second year if your sixth round draft pick is your starting defensive end which is a impact position where you know people pay a lot of money for that that's great you've stolen the whole deal but he only has four sacks oh four sacks which which one forced fumble. So not great.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Another safety, too. Not amazing here. He makes $405,000, though. He puts in a $400,000 effort. That's what he got. Yeah. I mean, starts 16 games. 2012, they're 7-9, the Panthers.
Starting point is 00:13:21 So slowly improving. Slowly improving here. 2012, he starts 10 games, plays in 15. He has 11 sacks this year, though. This is his coming out party. So 11 sacks, people start to notice you. Anything over 10 sacks, it's like, who the fuck is that guy? It's disruptive, you know, for an offense.
Starting point is 00:13:44 He makes $540,000 this year. That's pretty good, yeah. So, yeah, he's doing better. He's doing better. 2013 Carolina, now all of a sudden they're fucking good. Is that right? 12-4. They got Cam Newton.
Starting point is 00:13:56 2013, doing great. They go to the playoffs this year even. They lose to the Niners, though, 23-10 in the first round. But that's okay. Twos to the Niners, though, 23-10 in the first round, but that's okay. Cardi plays in 16 games, starts 13 of them, has 15 sacks. Shit. 15 sacks, Pro Bowl, and he's the second-team All-Pro as well. Holy shit, he's a professional.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Oh, he's a top guy now. He's a top defensive end now, period. That's it. Goddamn star. Yeah, you're a fucking star at this point. That's big. That's really big, man. First team all-conference, second team all-NFL. So not too shabby.
Starting point is 00:14:33 And he makes $1,300,000 this year. There you go. There you go, Greg. Now he's doing well. So just when he's doing well. This is grace is what this is jimmy you know what this is grace to the mountain dude you can't be doing 15 sacks in the nfl are you kidding me they'll kiss your dick for that yeah and the record then i think was 18 and a half and now
Starting point is 00:14:57 it's like 23 and a half it was still high because it was gas to nose and then yeah yeah it was high michael strahan broke it around right before this, too. I think it's 23 and a half. You might be right. But 15 is a... That's respectable as fuck. That's in elite territory. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:14 10 is really good. 15 is like, okay, now they're planning around you as an offense. When you have 10, they look at the stat sheet. When they got a guy with 10 sacks, they start planning plays. Who's guarding him? We got to make sure we get two bodies on that guy. Now instead of four receivers, we're doing three receivers and we're throwing a tight end over there to chip on him
Starting point is 00:15:36 or an extra fullback instead of having an empty backfield or throwing a fullback to come over. Throwing an extra block on him. Yeah, somebody to take his legs out if he gets in the backfield or something. So that makes a big difference. So you do that, it throws off the whole defense, the whole offense now. Now they can't do what they want. They have to do what you want.
Starting point is 00:15:54 So just when it's at its peak, it's going so well, the 2014 season is going to be a banger for him. He's expected to be one of the best in the league. And then on May 13, 2014, just about a month before he's supposed to report back to camp and be a star, he's instead arrested on a domestic violence charge. So a quick tumble from the mountaintop here. This is wow. Somebody told him he ain't shit.
Starting point is 00:16:26 This is a thunderbolt right here. He is involved in an altercation with his girlfriend and charged with misdemeanors for communicating threats and assault on a female, according to the Charlotte Observer. This is in Charlotte, okay? Police responded to a call. What time of day? I'm going to give you a guess. 3 a.m. 4 a.m. Even better.
Starting point is 00:16:48 That was close. Close. Not bad. You were giving them more credit. Yeah. Less reason to be awake. 4 a.m. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:55 4 a.m. Even less reason to be up. The call was, unless you're putting together a podcast, you really shouldn't be awake at that hour. Yeah. Putting together a podcast, you really shouldn't be awake at that hour. Yeah. So the call was made by the victim here who said Hardy had physically assaulted her, threatened her, and everything else. And it goes on to state in the report that she suffered minor injuries, bruises, and scratches.
Starting point is 00:17:20 She did refuse treatment and admitted that they were both drinking alcohol. Oh, boy. Now, Hardy was denied a bond, which they said is typical in domestic, uh, domestic violence cases for the first day. Yeah. Keep you away. So you can't bond out and then go beat the shit out of the person.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Worse. You need to cool off. Yeah. This is, uh, now the team said we are all very disappointed to learn of the allegations involving Greg and are concerned for all parties as we continue to investigate. Okay. As a streak of silver forms and that man's hair as he says it.
Starting point is 00:17:50 So they were right before this. Carolina had been talking to him about long term big giant money deal, you know, wrapping him up for a while, his own 50 million dollars here and, you know, wrapping him up for five, six years. But now they were right before this, too. This is when that was going on. And they were unable to come to an agreement. And Hardy was trying to play the I have all the power here. And now he did this. So now he just lost all his power.
Starting point is 00:18:16 You have zero power now. And Carolina just slaps the franchise tag on him in 2014 instead. So it makes him play for that, which is still playing for a shitload of money. tag on them in 2014 instead so it makes them play for that which is still playing for a shitload of money because you're right that's average it's the average salary of the top five salaried people at your position is what you get right which is pretty fucking decent that's good it's not bad but it's only a one-year deal so if you get hurt you don't have any any sort of anything so um they are now it's all up in the air of what they want long term and all that sort of thing. Jesus Christ, this is wild.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Carolina said that they always had a desire, and they've preached that they fill their team with, quote, high character players. But it's what they said. We're not going to make a decision right now. So that's fucking hilarious so here we go here is greg hardy's security guy he's apparently got a security guy here is his security guy's call to 9-1-1 well some shit was going down here okay um let's do this all right they said do you need police fire or medic security guard says hey how you doing today which is hilarious when people say that to 9-1-1
Starting point is 00:19:31 it's just such a phone habit line let's take a few minutes to hey how's it going established rapport it's such so ingrained in human beings that even in this situation it just comes out it's a habit it's hey how you doing today it's very casual that makes it sound like oh nothing if there's a fire you know how you doing today yeah no my house is on fire so if you want to send people over that'd be great yeah no no yeah my grandmother hasn't breathed in about 30 seconds or so you might want to answer send some love or something. They answer the phone with, what's your emergency? Not even. They said, do you need police, fire, or medic?
Starting point is 00:20:10 And he said, his answer was, hey, how you doing? Which is not an answer to your question. Then he realizes, that was dumb. And he says, I need police to, and then he says the name of the complex. And they say, okay, you security or do you live there? And they say, I'm security. So this is the security guard for the place he is. And they said, okay, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:20:36 And he says, well, if you get the police here, we can talk. We can talk to them about that when they get here. Oh. In other words, I don't want to tell you over the phone on a thing I know is recorded exactly what's going on, and I'd rather just talk to a cop and try to brush this under the fucking rug with them. That'd be better. Face to face, because Jack Del Rio is going to be pissed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Because Jack Del Rio is going to be pissed. Yeah. So then you hear in the background, this is the woman, quote, the woman he's beating, quote, domestic violence. She screams. Do you do you hear that bullshit? He's beating her ass in there. Oh, no, that's her. That's his friend. This is Greg Hardy's friend who's also on the scene.
Starting point is 00:21:22 So he's screaming domestic violence. Do you hear that bullshit? He's beating her ass in there. friend who's also on the scene so he's screaming domestic violence do you hear that bullshit he's beating her ass in there so um they say well fuck what's your name to the security guard and he says damian massey and then you hear in the background christina lawrence he's some girls getting her ass beat upstairs and i heard it and i seen it that's christina lawrence is the person in the background yelling about it and the operator says who's greg hardy which no one has mentioned greg hardy yet so far but who's greg hardy so
Starting point is 00:21:52 the uh you hear in the background yes he is beating her ass right the fuck now so get in here he is beating her ass right the fuck now you don't get any clearer than that you don't get any more clearer than that some girl's getting her ass beat upstairs and i heard it and i seen it he's beating her ass right the fuck now so get here now um five minutes ago get here yeah this is not going well for her 911 operator says okay what room number or what apartment number are they in and uh the security guard said they in a unit sir it's uh i have to let you up anyway and it gives you the gave him the number there and they say yeah i was in the lawrence the background person the woman from the background, she says, yeah, I was in the apartment.
Starting point is 00:22:45 He's beating her ass. Oh, boy. 911 says, okay, are they married? Security says, no, sir. They said, does she need medical attention? Because I already got officers on the way. And in the background, I love this Christina Lawrence. She should be the UFC fuckingc yeah fucking commentator yeah
Starting point is 00:23:07 you should just take the phone from this guy he's beating his ass right the fuck now for real he's not no he's on top oh he's punching the shit out of this guy look he's beating his motherfucking ass oh shit that's who i want that's the commentary I want. Yeah. That's good shit. Have us do that. We could do that. So he says, or Christina Lawrence in the background says, you better come because who the fuck knows. Yeah. Another, I guess. Good answer.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Who the fuck knows what he's going to end up doing. How long this is going to take. The security guard says, yeah, we don't know. It could still be going on by the time you get here. He seems to be having a fucking ball up there whooping her ass. So just by the sounds of it, it really seems like he's having a good time. So they said, a security guard said, she's saying she was in the front room and he was in the back room. And the background again, Christina Lawrence says, I heard it all for the last half hour.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Like, don't be giving no bullshit. Half hour. Ass whooping. She's giving pertinent facts. She is. None of this bullshit of, well, I was the security. I don't know what's happened. Not whooping her ass, beating the fuck out of her.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Right fucking now. Half hour. She's got stats and shit. 911 said, quote, ma'am, let him let him speak. Okay. Meaning the security guard. Why are you going back to him? He's giving you nothing.
Starting point is 00:24:29 He's giving nothing. So security guard says, quote, what it is when she first stated when she came down here that she was in the front room and the guy, and then Christina goes, he's beating her ass in the background this guy can't get to it and uh this this male subject was coming to he's whooping her fucking ass man just say it why don't they understand you're not speaking clear enough tell them this yeah that's what i mean right i don't fuck now and the Tell them this. Yeah, that's what I mean. Right the fuck now. And the security guard isn't going, yeah, that's a better, yeah, he's whooping her ass.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Just get down here. Security guard instead says, quote, excuse me. He got fucking snippy with her about it. Are you kidding me? Excuse me. Excuse me, ma'am. Let me finish the conversation, please. You understand. So the thing about it is she stated that, you know, it's domestic violence and she had to run out.
Starting point is 00:25:33 You know what I'm saying? And because anyway, so she was in the front room and the other girl getting beat up. Say she she was in the back room or whatnot. So then she say she ran out. Put Christina on the fucking phone. I'm sorry. You are not good at giving a succinct rundown of the events that just took place. You just described what happened with the word whatnot. Get the fuck off the phone. Huge paragraph.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Rather than right before that quote, he's beating her ass. That's succinct. Bingo. Perfect. That's what we need. That's the info we're looking for. Right there. So then Christina in the background says, the police, we need the police here now. Security guard says, and so Christina then says, before this girl gets seriously hurt now, security guard said they are they're already on the way. And so and then 911 operator said, what's her name? What's the female's name?
Starting point is 00:26:33 What is her name? And the guard says, excuse me, ma'am. She's right there. What's her name? And Christina said, miss. She's yelling. And the 911 operator saying hello. miss she's yelling and the 911 operator saying hello so now they're trying to they're now trying to talk not even over a speakerphone just out of the mild wow screaming words out of their faces
Starting point is 00:26:52 to get her attention oh my god security guard said yeah i'm here uh the other females walking out now like i say again uh the female the, one of the females, the female that was just – I have no idea what you're talking about, sir. You have just fucked this entire thing up. I have no clue what you're talking about. Your only job is to relay the information to the proper authorities. That's what your job is. And you clearly are terrible at this. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:19 You can't stop an ass beating from occurring before your very eyes. That's one thing you can't do. And you can't even relay the information properly to the people who may be able to stop an ass beating from occurring before your very eyes. That's one thing you can't do. And you can't even relay the information properly to the people who may be able to stop the ass whooping. So talk about a worthless security guard. And he's a security guard, so he clearly couldn't be a cop. And this is why he can't be a cop. No. Because he can't talk.
Starting point is 00:27:40 No. Imagine if you put that in your report. Oh, God. Quote, like I say again, the female, the other female, one of the females, the female that was just talking. First, she say she seen the girl getting her ass whooped, getting her ass beat. You know what I'm saying? Well, first she say she seen, she heard it. Heard him back there in the back room.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Then she stating the fact that she uh she uh she heard it all so she went from saying that she's seen it to she went to saying that she heard it say that shit on the stand sir wow yeah that'd be what the fuck how did you get this job is what they would ask you how did you what did you say in your interview yeah well i'd come from my house and sometimes sometimes there's a car and i get in it and then the sky is blue and then sausage for breakfast because sometimes when you come to work, you need to have sausage. And I'm tired. You're hired, sir. Wow.
Starting point is 00:28:37 So, yeah, that's how that goes. And so the 911 operator says, okay, which is my response would be the same thing. So he said she had run out, you know what I'm saying, and came down here. So the 911 operator says, the female that was just yelling into the phone, what's her name? Who's she? Who's that? Yeah. And he said, I don't know her name.
Starting point is 00:28:57 She just stated her name to you. My first time seeing these girls ever. And he says, you know what I'm saying? And the one that was talking, she's drunk. You could tell she's inebriated. Well, she can still tell an ass whooping from a non-ass whooping, inebriated or not. Like, I can tell if you got your ass kicked or not.
Starting point is 00:29:17 So they said, where is she at now? And he said, quote, they walked to the front. And it's okay, we're on the way. And security guards said, yeah, well, you should have been on the way. You talking about you on the way? He said, well, you should have been on the way. You talking about you on the way? Like, yeah, motherfucker, of course you're on the way.
Starting point is 00:29:35 And he 911 said, yeah, no, no. I entered a second call. The first call, they'll be there in a second. But I went and entered another call and security said, I've been talking and cutting the 911 operator off. Who then says, the first call we got. And he says, it's been about eight minutes. Now he's getting impatient. Well, yeah, maybe if you could relay what the fuck happened in the first seven minutes, shit would have been faster.
Starting point is 00:30:00 But you're bad at your job, sir. You started the phone call with how's your day going? Yeah. Hey, how's it going over there? I'm cool. Jesus Christ. You didn't have any urgency in your voice. Why would they hurry?
Starting point is 00:30:14 Fuck. So he says, 911 says, okay, I understand that. First call we got, he called. The mail called. Now you've called. So I guess Greg Hardy called? I don't know. So they said, yeah, she asked me to come. Or don't know so they said yeah she asked me to come
Starting point is 00:30:25 or security guard says yeah she asked me to ask you to come um uh she asked me to by law i got to so he's saying she asked for the cops so by law i have to call them because i'm the security guard here so um they said all right it's on the way the wait is over far, you're not losing. The only thing you're losing is my patience. Quickly, I see that. Bing! The queen of the courtroom is back. I didn't do anything. You wouldn't know the truth if it came up and slapped you in the face.
Starting point is 00:30:56 I see he's not intimidated by anything. I can fix that. New cases. She wanted to fight me. Leave her alone. Okay, so, um... This is not a so. This is a period. Classic Judy.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Did you sleep with her? Yes, Your Honor. You married his cousin. His brother. That's not him. Yes, ma'am. I would make a beeline for the door. The Emmy Award- winning series returns.
Starting point is 00:31:25 How did I know that? I have crystal ball in my head. It's an all new season. It's streaming. You can say anything. Judy Justice. Only on Freebie. If you don't know when Crystal Pepsi was discontinued,

Starting point is 00:32:42 Yeah. He calls himself now. Is that right oh yeah oh yeah um do you need fire police or medic and he says quote my friend made a my friend brought a girl home now oh boy whatever he's about to say is a lie because he didn't start out with what he needs and what this what 9-1-1 if you are in actual need and you haven't done anything wrong that you're trying to cover for, you immediately want to relay your needs to them. Absolutely. You want to say, I'm here and this is what I need. I'm here.
Starting point is 00:33:16 I need fire trucks. This person's hurt. Bang, bang, bang. That's what you do just psychologically. Right. When you start out with, my friend brought a girl home, you're already starting a story. You're making a – 911 calls aren't narratives like this. They are, I need help.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Here's my pertinent information. Get help now. How are you going to call 911 and say it was the best of times or the worst of times? Yeah. He started, my friend brought a girl home. She knows who I – my name is Greg Hardy.y she's assaulting me right now she's hit me in the face twice she won't get out we're trying to get her out of my house she keeps running back in every time my neighbor's outside she's witnessed everything okay she said she witnessed you
Starting point is 00:34:00 beating her ass so whooping her ass beating her her ass. So they do the address and all that. And she said, I have videotape of everything. And they said, what's the address? And he gives it. He says her name's Nicole Holder. They said, what's the apartment number? And he says to someone else, not to the 911 operator, he's half on the phone, half off the phone. He says, keep her away from me, please.
Starting point is 00:34:22 My assistant's trying to retain her. He says, keep her away from me, please. My assistant's trying to retain her. She's trying to break free and hit me with her heel. And now I, yeah, my assistant is attempting to retain her. Yeah, retain isn't the word he's looking for. No. Restrain, possibly.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Yeah, maybe contain. Contain, those are good. He mixed those together. Then he says to someone else in the background, what's your number? I'm calling my, and then he said, my phone's dead. What's, and then he's like a bunch of inaudible background shit. He said, I'm literally running around the table right now. She's trying to hit me with her with a shoe, which is hilarious. They said, he said, quote, said quote oh shit she broke some glass man
Starting point is 00:35:07 oh fuck and then they said what's your phone number and he said fuck he's mad about glass sir i need your phone number he says what what's the number to someone in the background what's the number bro and then he said he gives it and he says, okay, you say, the 911 says, okay, you say her name is Nicole Holder. He says, yeah, Nicole Holder. I have a welt on my face. She just hit me twice. She's trying to hit me with another shoe. Well, you know, this is the last one anyway.
Starting point is 00:35:34 That's positive. You know, she only has limited ammo there, so that's good. He said, I'm behind the bar. I'm not touching her. My manager's retaining her. I thought it was his assistant. Now it's his manager. Wow.
Starting point is 00:35:50 She's still trying to get at me. And 911 says, she's outside the apartment now? And he said, no, she won't let me close the door, and I can't touch her to get her out. She's literally kicking and scratching, but my manager's retaining her so she's hitting i have one of her heels right now she just tried to hit me once she's hit me in the face twice and i'm trying to stay away from her can you please send someone to help me so my manager and they said okay what do you need do you need and then he's yelling to just keep her back bro hey just keep her hey bro like these background noises they said do you need a then he's yelling to just keep her back bro hey just keep her hey bro like these
Starting point is 00:36:25 background noises they said do you need a medic is this what do you call do you need a medic and he says you just hear don't let her go don't let her go oh god someone in the background do you need a medic he said i don't need a medic she just hit me in the face i'm fine not bleeding or anything it's a little swollen but i'm fine then he says quote you shouldn't hit me you shouldn't hit me that's my background noise that's off of off mic here so then there's yelling and then he says hello and 911 says yes sir like still trying to go let's find out he says she's refused to leave she told me to break her arm when i asked her to leave what okay um the operon 911 operator says okay which is exactly what i just said which is hilarious he said okay what what should i do should i leave or like what should i do she's
Starting point is 00:37:20 she's like steady coming she's got a lot of energy, this girl, according to him. So he said, I'm inside the apartment trying to get out. She's literally blocking like she's at the door. Well, you can get through a block. You got 15 socks last year. Come on. He said she won't leave. We've been trying to get her to leave for an hour.
Starting point is 00:37:40 I've asked her to leave a thousand times, and she hit me in the face twice. That's a good ratio. A thousand times asked her. saints should suit her up man that's what i mean he can't get through he can't get through her she's an offensive tackle she's a left tackle i'm trying to walk around her i can't walk through my kitchen there's glass she broke glass 911 says okay has there been any drug usage and he says she I think she's on coke or something. I don't know. I don't know. She's been drinking.
Starting point is 00:38:07 I don't know what she's on, man. She, and then there's an audible. He said, like, yo, she's out of it, my man, and she will not stop coming at me, bro. And so 911 said, were there weapons involved? Any other weapons? And he says, there's no other weapons. There's no other witnesses.
Starting point is 00:38:28 There's no other witnesses. He mistakes weapons for witnesses. 911 says, weapons. Any other weapons? And he says, oh, shit. Am I bleeding? Fuck, I'm bleeding, man. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Now he's mad he's bleeding. Are there any other weapons involved? Yes, my manager's standing right here keeping her away from me. What the fuck? Oh. 911 operator. No weapons?
Starting point is 00:38:57 Loudly and clearly. And he says, no, this is me and him here, and she came in. They let her up, and she's been in here. What about what? Again, not the answer to the question. No, sir, 911 says. You're not fucking understanding me.
Starting point is 00:39:13 He said everything with that. Sir, does she have any other weapons, such as a gun or a knife? Weapons and shit that hurts, stuff like that that anything that people use in a fight ouch ouch stick any of those thingy brass boom boom boom boom thingy any of that so hardy says no she's hit like she's swinging her fist and her heels i have one of her heels now her other heels on the ground she doesn't have a heel right now and that's all she's swinging at me my manager's trying to detain her now it's now it's detained detained which is sort of correct but whatever it's better than retain
Starting point is 00:39:55 uh she's he's not hurting her or anything just trying to keep her away from me okay you said that you were trying to leave the property and uh yelling in the background and he says what they said you say and then he cuts 9-1-1 off and says she's fighting my manager right now she's trying to and 9-1-1 says okay well we'll have a unit out to the apartment soon she's trying to come at me bro that's his response to that okay sir and then hardy says don't let her do it bro so then the 9-1-1 says we have a and he says say what well let me finish 9-1-1 says we have an officer out there to be dispatched okay and he says thank you please he says says, please hurry. Please hurry. God, please hurry.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Okay. So that is that. Two vastly different 911 calls. Very different 911 call. And where's the girl saying he's whooping her ass? I've been watching it for a half hour. It's a different thing. So Nicole goes to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, and here is her police interview with her.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Has he ever used a weapon against you or threatened you with a weapon? She says yes in her checklist here. Has he threatened to kill you or your children? Yes. Do you think he might try to kill you? Yes. Does he or she have a gun or can get one easily? Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:24 So a lot of that stuff going on here. So they said that would not cooperate during the interview at first. The victim wouldn't cooperate. What's her name? Charlotte? No, that's where they are. They're in Charlotte. Nicole is her name.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Nicole. Got it. Nicole Charlotte. Lucky they weren't in San Bernardino. What's her name? Bernadino? Bernadette. Bernadette. So, later on, she'll end up giving a statement,
Starting point is 00:41:54 and here it goes. This is Detective Faye Strother taking the statement, and she says, quote, if you would say your name for the recorder, Nicole Holder, okay, tell me how long you've known Mr. Hardy. I met Greg when I first moved here. He was dating my roommate.
Starting point is 00:42:11 So that was 2012. So this is two years ago. He's known her for two years. He goes, I don't know. Some broad got brought home from the bar. I don't know. What is this? Soon as he said, my friend brought someone home.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Nope. Nope. Start again. You're lying. That didn no that's none of that's there you just you just told the story of why you're innocent before you told what's actually happening so um they said i met greg when i first moved here 2012 and when did you um well what's his full name greg mccarl hardy okay when did you start dating september 2013 he was dating her roommate moving on she said um or the detective said at any point in this relationship did you live together he she says yes ma'am not only is she not some broad that got brought home from the bar that night all coked up swinging a fucking high heel around they lived together yeah wow um okay
Starting point is 00:43:06 when did that occur she said um we started dating with each other just about the time we started dating then officially moved in when he got his apartment i think it was november and i lived with him until uh march and this is may they said okay so he got his apartment around when november 2013 yes okay but i stayed with him at his other house previously too so this isn't new like we've moved residences together yeah this is we've we've packed the boxes and like you know we bubble wrapped shit we put shit in the in the newspaper and then he got mad at me for not using enough newspaper in between his place absolutely like that's what happened. So, you know. I broke something very valuable
Starting point is 00:43:48 and near and dear to his heart. Which is what he was talking about on the 911 tape. Bye. She broke some glass, man. It was when we moved. She was my, from the gas station, man. It was those fucking Looney Tunes glasses I got when I was nine from the fucking Texaco station, man. The whole, I had the whole series.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Now I gotta find Woody Woodpecker again. Fuck you all. And then he started whooping her ass. Get on eBay. Come on. She says, they said, this particular evening, how did this all occur? What happened?
Starting point is 00:44:17 Holder says, my girlfriend had come over to my house. Sammy was speaking with my friend Laura, my friend Laura who had come over to my house. Sammy had informed us via text message that Greg wanted us to come over. So me and Laura went over to the apartment and we started drinking. I brought a bottle of champagne. We started drinking. Greg got upset at the apartment because someone knocked over a glass.
Starting point is 00:44:41 And Sammy had said that he did a party foul and and he got very upset, stormed out and left, actually. Went to his studio where he does music. Of course he does. Where are these recordings? I swear, anyone out there, if you, I don't know if by hook or by crook, how you can do it, but if you can get Greg Hardy's, what if he sang like ballads? he wasn't even like rapping or anything he sang like it's him doing like 40s stuff no no no like he's crooning he's like michael buble he's just trying to he's doing like dean martin covers
Starting point is 00:45:20 that's what i want to hear um i really want those recordings. So where he does his music and he hit me up privately on a text message saying to walk because my girlfriends and everyone at the apartment that we were all with, we left and went to Black Finn and started drinking at a bar. And Greg had gone to his studio. Greg hit me up while we were at Black Finn and told me that he wanted me to get Laura and get in a cab and meet him at the Blind Pig. The Blackfin, the Blind Pig. Just me and Laura. No one else that we were with. So I did. We left.
Starting point is 00:45:57 We went straight to Blind Pig. And then we were drinking there. Everything was fine. We played games. And then Laura wanted to go to bubble so we all left blind pig and went to bubble your your place dog your place must begin with a b it has to wow um greg got a table we were all having a great time i i mean everything was going well. We left Bubble. We went back to his apartment, and it was me, Sammy, Marco, Marco's friend, a blonde-headed girl, and Greg. Did I say Sammy?
Starting point is 00:46:33 Sammy. Okay. There was five of us. And Marco and the female that he was with were in the master bedroom, and I'm not sure what they were doing in there. I have an idea or two i have a couple ideas probably we could throw it around a little bit mashing their stuff together um so he said uh she said uh greg greg and i were in uh in his room and sammy was in the living room on the couch greg and i still everything everything was fine. We were getting along.
Starting point is 00:47:05 And then he started bringing up some stuff that had happened in our past. Started calling me a slut. Started calling me names, saying that I ruined our relationship. One thing led to another. It got very escalated. A lot of names were called. I tried to get up. He pushed me.
Starting point is 00:47:23 Then I started fighting back. He threw me into the bathroom Then I started fighting back. He threw me into the bathroom. I hit the back of the shower wall and fell into the bathtub where he pulled me out. This is getting bad. Yeah. Dragged me into the bedroom, picked me up again, threw me down on his futon that had guns sitting on it. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:47:43 This is pleasant. So I landed on the guns, which is why my back looks the way that it does. You're going to get bruised up from landing on guns. And then I fell from there onto the floor where he stood above me and, quote, strangled me with two hands. What the fuck? He told me he should kill me,
Starting point is 00:48:03 and I said, go ahead. I'm not not scared just do it so i don't have to uh and when i said that you could see it in his eyes that he snapped back and that he he jumped off me he instantly reached in his pocket and pulled out his cell phone and started screaming for sammy to come into the room he started filming me i uh he told sammy to he turned his camera off told sammy to restrain me or probably retain me at the time retainer retain her retain her what like five grand what should i give her i mean you know is that monthly or is this just like an overall i said fucking retainer what's her hourly what's her hourly uh to restrain me sammy came came over and grabbed me from held me around my body and wouldn't let me leave he pulled me into the kitchen where greg then called dialed
Starting point is 00:48:53 911 and called the police saying i was stalking him and that i'm that i'm trying to kill him and that i'm hurting saying all kinds of crazy stuff that wasn't true what the fuck so she he claims she he realized she claims he realized what he was doing and then was like oh shit i need to come up with a fucking i'm not this crazy bitch is all over me sammy grabber fucking that's that's fucking wild that tells me that he called her standing he called her over for the confrontation to discuss like what why they're not together anymore or he called her over to have a nice night and then had 10 drinks in him and started being like man fuck this you fucking i remember when you fucked remember when you fuck cj yeah i remember bitch that's right yeah i remember he told me all about your fucking skank
Starting point is 00:49:40 yeah like i think that's what happened probably so i yeah i think he got drunk and angry conversation and talk about it and it got out of hand and it went further than he thought it was going to go and then then he realized oh my god i'm in so deep now i'm gonna get in so much trouble for this i don't know i don't know if he has he doesn't seem to think ahead much that's possible too but you might be right he's dumb he might have been like i'll yell at her but i think he called because he wanted he knew he could fuck her yeah yeah yeah because he has in the past maybe he thinks that maybe thought that it's an easy one tonight the x-sex is easy to get then she got there and he's drunk
Starting point is 00:50:14 and now he wants to discuss it yeah great a little bit yeah yeah exactly uh she said he was standing on the other side of the room sammy had me restrained and he was saying that i was hitting him on the phone so he's saying that while she said while he was on the phone saying oh she's taking swings at me right now she was on the other side of the room so uh that's interesting there was no possible way sammy was restraining me and then as the police we heard the sirens outside a couple minutes later, and Greg said, let her go. She has a chance to get away. I literally crawled out. The neighbors opened up the door. She saw me on the ground crawling out, and I went down the elevator.
Starting point is 00:50:55 I could only get to the first level because there's security, and you have to have a car to get down to the garage. I went, like, down to the parking parking deck and I went to the first floor and I took off running. The security guard was screaming for me to stop. I guess they knew something was going on. And then the police, I started running down the road and the police screamed my name and told me, Nicole Holder, stop, stop. So I stopped and went back. And the blonde headed girl that had been upstairs was outside screaming and crying. I didn't even realize that she had that she had run out of the house, but she had. She's like, I think that's the.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Yeah. Yeah. I think that's the one who was yelling in the background. Christina Lawrence or whatever. Yeah. Beating her ass right the fuck now. Whooping her ass. So the cops or she then says until greg called him in
Starting point is 00:51:48 the bedroom greg was in the bedroom with me marco was in the master bedroom with the blonde headed girl so um they said okay when you say bedroom it's a second bedroom and she said um it's actually considered a one bedroom but there's like uh it's got French doors it's more like an office but it's a whole nother bedroom in his apartment she says so yeah bedroom slash office yes okay and she said it's his bedroom now he's put a bed in it now and they said
Starting point is 00:52:15 but it's not meant to be it's supposed to be a one bedroom apartment that's supposed to be an office great okay we got it established thank you we don't need the floor plan thank you the detective says, okay. And Nicole says, it's got French doors. Oh, God. It's not private.
Starting point is 00:52:32 And they said, okay. Uh-huh. And she says, it has curtains up. Oh, God. And the detective says, and you say Marco and the blonde girl were in the master bedroom? Like, we're moving on past the type of accoutrement outside the doors of this office slash bedroom don't give me the interior decoration on we don't need it yeah so what's the square footage on that room where are those rooms from
Starting point is 00:52:54 yeah yeah that's what i want to know so the detective says okay okay you say everything was going well and you and greg were in the bedroom at the time and she says yeah and they said okay what were some of the things that made him get upset? What was the conversation that made him get upset? She says, I hung out with dot, dot, dot, Nellie. Got it. So we don't have it. I had no idea Nellie was going to be involved in this and nelly isn't a person they
Starting point is 00:53:27 know nelly is the detective says the rap star and she says yeah it's nelly nelly in 2014 in 2014 nelly which is definitely a downhill nelly but not it's not peak nelly by no it's not remember nelly it's not that neelly, which it is now. Now it would be, Nelly? Yeah, you remember Nelly. Oh, yeah, Nelly. With the Band-Aid and shit. But 2014, it was like, oh, Nelly.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Yeah, I remember. Yeah. Does he have anything new? No, nothing? No. Okay. Didn't think so. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Still nothing, huh? I haven't heard from him in a couple years. You want to take a ride with me? That guy? Jesus. Oh, God. Yeah. Greg is sitting there seething that she's was banging nelly that's all it is hilarious he's famous so it's pissing him off probably yeah greg's got a huge ego as well of course he does massive ego so he's not having any of this shit so yeah the rap star uh okay and holder said on my birthday nicole said oh man
Starting point is 00:54:27 i got it oh and uh holder goes and he found out and ever since then he has uh it really really upset him very bad and something triggered that i'm not sure what it was but he started bringing it up and that's how things started getting so escalated. I can tell you why. Someone said, is it hot in here? And he said, you fuck Nelly, and started freaking out. Someone was like, turn on the AC. I think it's getting a little hot in here. And they were like, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Not in this house. It's never hot in here. Ever. I'd be pissed too. Easily triggered. 2014. Oh, my God. I'm a star now.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Yeah, I'm a star now. I had 15 sacks last year. How many sacks Nelly had? He's been in the sack sleeping because he's got nothing else to do but at the same time this is something if you can't handle that your ex fuck nelly right you have to either never talk to her again or fucking accept it because you can't just be like let's hang out then i get to yell at you for it all the time and beat you up that's crazy and god forbid you put 2000s hip hop on shuffle on spotify it's gonna remind you every time you
Starting point is 00:55:47 go into like a restaurant or something if you walk in and that soundtrack's like 2000s hip-hop you go we uh i don't like this place i don't like it here and you just turn around and leave if you hear like ja rule come on you're like oh no it's gonna come on soon come on let's get out of here let's go everybody out now he's next he's fucking next i know it that was jaw rule let's go come on seriously it's fucking jesus christ so uh the detective says okay and what um oh no this is uh yeah oh and that's uh very bad something triggered that he started bringing it up and that's how things started to get escalated. Okay, and what were some of the things he was saying to give us an idea of how did it go from fine to not good?
Starting point is 00:56:32 Yeah. And Nicole says, I'm not really sure. I'm telling you. He just heard somebody had a ringtone, and he was like, what? Started freaking out. He's been stealing ever since. Oh, man. So the detective said, okay uh he just started and nicole says okay he just started you why did you do this to us uh you're
Starting point is 00:56:54 a slut oh that's what they she was saying so now there's something or at least wanted to possess her wanted to retain her yeah one of the other so the detective said so how did he find out about the relationship with nelly how did that how would he know that because i've been telling everybody i've been telling everybody you have no fucking idea it's crazy like i start a boss i was wearing a band-aid on my face for like three months and then it's a dead giveaway. Every sports team in St. Louis, I've been rocking their jerseys. Yeah, I've been wearing an Ozzie Smith jersey and a Band-Aid on my face.
Starting point is 00:57:32 So it's a dead giveaway. Anyone out there, you see, Band-Aid on their face, Willie McGee jersey, they're fucking Nelly. You know it. So just step back and accept that you've lost that woman. She's now Nellie's. She belongs to Nellie. It all belongs to Nellie now. This is unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:57:53 You never thought this was going to come up, did you? That's fucking crazy. Nellie. I had no idea Nellie was coming up. Nellie ruined Greg Hardy's life. He really did. And this poor woman, too. All that time we kept hearing about greg hardy and all this shit we're like what is wrong with this psychopath we never understood
Starting point is 00:58:12 that nelly just sitting somewhere in missouri just having a good time is the cause of all of this strife smiling about one person that he slept with once yep just yep that girl wow he's got the devil dick he fucks you once your life's over oh it's over with like michael from love after lockup yeah that's right yeah just destroying that's it she's like man i just keep i keep singing it over and over again shattering families and lives. Shattering families, ruining football teams. And careers. Ron Rivera's at the end of the year like,
Starting point is 00:58:52 we could have went all the way to the Super Bowl if it wasn't for fucking Nelly. Fuck. Fucking early 2000s shitty hip hop. Cock sucker. Bullshit. Any of your girls fuck Lil Jon? if they did i swear to god you're off the team now i'm cutting you i'm i can't have any drama later on okay okay oh god so uh how did this how did this happen uh how did he know yeah she said um i left my
Starting point is 00:59:23 workplace with him on my birthday after I had been drinking one night. She went to her job with Nellie? I think she works at a bar. Oh, okay. She'd been drinking that night, so I think she probably works at a bar. They said, left the workplace with who? I left my workplace and named some other people.
Starting point is 00:59:38 I left and walked out with Nellie. Oh, boy. Yeah, she said, okay. And then the holder says, to the Ritzlton on my birthday how's the view from the rooftop of that yeah that's oh boy the detective says okay and holder says okay i understand what happened there okay okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. The detective said, and I apparently was seen by Jonathan Stewart. Oh, that's what she said.
Starting point is 01:00:11 I was apparently seen by Jonathan Stewart, who plays ball with Greg, and told him. Jonathan Stewart was on the Panthers. He's probably in the lobby and was like, I saw your girl with Nellie. I started coming out of a room across from mine i was doing some dirty shit in there i think she was doing dirty because nelly was there so i just assumed i just assumed it was dirty nelly was there the presence of nelly is what tipped me off to be honest with you i'll go with that can you imagine what the fuck well nelly's such a little shit too if you're greg hardy he's like i will throw nelly fucking 30 yards down the football field i'm gonna drag nelly back to that hotel and throw him off the fucking roof that is insane at least he did her in a nice
Starting point is 01:01:07 place man he's got respect oh he's gonna yeah that's where you're staying probably or he at least took her there so she says uh uh the detective said or nicole says that's how i think but i mean i still haven't gotten down to the bottom of it myself and the detective says okay that's fine like yeah i think we're to the bottom of it i think we got it yeah it's it's bottomed out probably so uh but somehow he knows and there's just i mean and uh the detective says so the reason i ask i don't know if this was a conversation you had with him and you talked about it and nicole says greg knows i've we've had the talk about nelly as sarah and i have also had the talk about nelly you and emily jimmy have you discussed you've
Starting point is 01:01:53 had the talk about about nelly right i have this talk with every person i've ever been in yeah every yeah my ex-wife we had to talk about nelly everybody you just talk you have to you have to have to talk about nelly taylor swift is soaring high her every move captured in the news cycle and devoured by her devoted fans she's broken billboard records and made grammys history not to mention becoming a billionaire in the process but along the way taylor has had to wage war, first by taking on a very powerful, very famous manager, Scooter Braun, and then by going up against the biggest live events company, Ticketmaster. Hi, I'm David Brown, the host of Wondery Show Business Wars. We go deep into some of the biggest corporate rivalries of all time. And in our latest season, Taylor Swift will shake up not only the music business, but Hollywood and the NFL.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Follow Business Wars wherever you get your podcasts. You can listen ad-free on the Amazon Music or Wondery app. There's several talks you have to have. Your parents give you the talk, you know, the birds and bees. Then there's the Nelly talk, which you get later on in your mid-20s. It's different. We've had the Nelly talk. We've had the talk the Nelly talk, which you get later on in your mid-20s. It's different. We've had the Nelly talk. We've had the talk about Nelly.
Starting point is 01:03:08 He asked me. I told him. I answered all of his questions about him. Oh, he asked all of them. Yep. Oh, man. And she said, we were not dating when that happened. He had broken up with me.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Oh. So, yeah. That's what I mean. He's possessive. That's what it is. Well, I don't want you, but I also don't want Nellie to have you either. Well, listen. Nicole is obviously fucking hot.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Oh, clearly. She's a smoke show. She is. Yeah, obviously. If you break up with her, Greg, she's going to fuck better than you. She's going to go fuck Nellie. That's what happens. If you didn't want her to fuck Nellie, you shouldn't have broken up with her.
Starting point is 01:03:45 There you go. That's how that works, stupid. You break up with a hot chick and dare her to do better, she's going to do better. And it's going to hurt. She's going to do just fine on her own, too. Don't ask who she's fucked since. No shit, especially if it's Nellie. You don't want to know.
Starting point is 01:04:00 You don't want to know when your girls had Nellie. You just don't. Can know when your girls had nelly you just don't can't believe it jesus christ so the detective says okay um all right so the first thing he did you said is that he pushed you where uh where did he push you at like what part of the body she said i forgot okay where when you were in the bedroom the detective says um she says i guess it was in my arms i can't really remember so the detective says okay where was he in relationship to was he face to face with you tell me she says i can't i really can't i really it's it's i'm i'm sorry and she says okay no that's fine and nicole, it all happened very, very quickly.
Starting point is 01:04:45 None of it really made much sense, and I had been drinking. So the detective says, okay, so when you say you'd been drinking, do you think you, how much had you been drinking? I mean, were you, and she says, oh, I was intoxicated. I was hammered. They were all drinking, yeah. And she said, was he intoxicated as well? And Nicole says, very, very much so. Oh, boy. boy they were out drinking all night they went to three different bars they were
Starting point is 01:05:08 shit hammered so now i'm gonna remind you about nelly and now we're gonna talk about nelly so nicole said we had uh he had bought three bottles of champagne at the last nightclub we were at we had taken multiple shots so they're just drinking she said i think we started off taking three shots at blind pig two or three we had many drinks there and we were very drunk we had that bottle of champagne at the house before we even left so jesus they pre-gamed and then went to all these bars yeah she said like already four bottles of champagne we had been drinking quite a lot so the detective said okay when you say you initially said he pushed you did you um did you know if he did you fall or did you she said i can't really
Starting point is 01:05:52 remember and they said did this start did that start the and she said where my memory is picking up like that's kind of where i remember from then on she got like kind of fucking shocked into coherency from that out of her stupor that'll probably make you lose your buzz yeah she said her memory was picking up in the bathroom so they said okay what do you remember she said quote he threw me he picked me up and by my arms threw me i hit the tile in the back of the bathtub and i fell down into the bathtub and they said okay describe the room where you were at the back of the bathtub and I fell down into the bathtub. And they said, okay, describe the room where you were at in relationship to the bathroom. And she said, Greg's bedroom. There was a bed. It's a very small room. Please don't start talking about the French doors again, I beg you.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Don't tell me the way out. Then there was a big bed right here. There's a bed located to the back right corner of the bedroom. It even blocks the closet door. That's how tiny this room is. And the detective says, okay. Like, yeah, I know about the room. She said, there's a futon in the room, a full-size bed, and there's a bathroom. I mean, it's crowded.
Starting point is 01:06:56 So all of this, it happened very quickly. It was not very, you know, it's not long distances. It's a tiny, tiny study. So the detective says, okay, so he threw you into the bathroom up against the wall like please no more about the study uh but wall you said and she said yeah he said okay she said i fell into the bathtub and he dragged me out he said uh he dragged me out by my hair nicole says that. Dragged me in and he picked me up again and threw me down onto the futon where all those guns were propped up. And the detective said, okay, this is the same futon you showed me a picture of on your phone. And they said, yes. And she said, with the
Starting point is 01:07:37 gun. Yes, ma'am. Okay, can you describe what kind of guns? How many?icole said it was um four four i think uh hold on one two three four four yeah four ma'am she says okay four guns what type of guns are those you describe them what are they what type of guns they look like she nicole says they look like guns from the army or i mean like from video games yeah they are yeah she's yeah um so they said and any handguns no ma'am okay uh no ma'am these are these are like uh what is that like an ak-47 it's like something she's seen in a movie like a movie gun yeah yeah she said okay i mean these are big guns uh we get all says we understand yes like a video game or the army and they said strother the detective says okay uh once you were and nicole cuts her off and he keeps them loaded okay
Starting point is 01:08:32 yes she sounds like she would keep bringing up nelly not he's the one who keeps bringing up nelly between the two of them nothing would ever die no no so the detective said okay once you were thrown onto the futon where the guns were at, then what happens and what part of your body hits the gun? My whole right side of my body, my knee, my shoulder, my back. The whole side of me hit, and then he got on top of me. He used both hands and started strangling me. Lucky those things didn't go off if he keeps them fucking loaded.
Starting point is 01:09:01 No shit. Fuck, man. Safety's on or something, hopefully. Okay, and when he was strangling you, did he say anything to you that he can that you can remember she said yes he said i should kill you that's scary um okay what kind of look did he have on his face what do you expect i don't know smiling he was singing fucking zippity-doo-dah whistling like what do you think he looked angry? Humming Nelly songs. Yeah. How many people fucking happily strangle you
Starting point is 01:09:29 and tell you they should kill you because you fuck Nelly? Like, that's going to be an angry time. So Nicole said he looked insane. His pupils were tiny. I mean, he looked crazy. He looked crazy. His face was just blank. I mean, I've never seen him look at me like that. Never.
Starting point is 01:09:46 So they said, what were you thinking when this was going on? And Nicole said that he was going to kill me. This is it. This is the time he's actually going to do it. And they said, well, what made him stop the assault? And she said, I told him to do it. I said, I'm not scared to die. Just do it. And they said, and then what did he do? Andicole said i said kill me so i don't have to and at that point i'm so low i was thinking about killing myself you know like i yeah yeah so she said uh and he jumped off me pulled his cell phone out like i just like i was saying oh and uh i have that i think i said that already. And she said, pulled his phone out and started recording me, started screaming for Sammy to come into the room. And they said, did Sammy follow his instructions? And Nicole said, 100%. And tell me again, he was sad what he was telling Sammy to do.
Starting point is 01:10:37 And she said, he's telling Sammy to restrain me, not to let me go and to hold me there. And they said, what was the purpose of doing that. And she said. I have no idea. I have. It doesn't make any sense to me. She said quote. You would think he'd want me out.
Starting point is 01:10:54 You know. And that's all I wanted. I kept saying just let me leave. It doesn't have to be this way. Let me go. I will have someone come pick me up. Just let me leave. It does not need to be this way Greg. I don't.
Starting point is 01:11:04 I won't say anything. Just let me go. does not need to be this way greg i don't i won't say anything just let me go so um they said what point did he call the police and uh she said when sammy pulled me out of the bedroom uh he had me in the kitchen at this point and he had me against the wall between the kitchen and the living room and there's a bar caddy corner greg is over there holding my shoe that I had used. I had hit him with my shoe because I had hit him. Okay, well, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:31 Scratched him, done everything in my power to get away from him. And she said, and he was holding my shoe. I kept saying, please just let me have my shoes. Let me leave.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Let me leave. And he held my shoe and said it was evidence. And he said he was on the phone with the police. He was like, ow, don't was evidence. And he said he was on the phone with the police. He was like, ow, don't hit me. I mean, he was yelling crazy stuff. He was going nuts.
Starting point is 01:11:50 And I wasn't even near him. I was in the room being restrained by Sammy. Sammy was holding me there. What? He was just acting like he was being hit. Ow, she hit me again. I'm running around the table because that's the thing. Sammy's restraining her.
Starting point is 01:12:04 But at the same time, he's like, she's also hitting me. So is your friend the worst restrainer in the world? Yeah. She's slippery. Yeah. Fuck, man. He's clearly seen Fight Club. That's what he's doing right now.
Starting point is 01:12:17 Yeah, he's just pulling that bullshit. Pretending to kick his own ass. Yeah, he's going to throw himself into the cabinet and everything. Yeah. She said, and then finally, when we heard the police sirens, Greg said, let her go. Give her a chance to give her a chance to get away. And I literally Sammy let me go and I crawled out of the door. So she said, OK, well, when this was going on, there was a female, you said, with blonde hair.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Did you see her? And Nicole said she had taken off. No. And they said, when Sammy drug you into the kitchen was she there um and nicole says he works for him sometimes does tasks that uh i guess an assistant would do he was in town because greg had flown him from baltimore to miami to drive his range rover back from miami to charlotte for him marco uh then she goes on to say marco was in a bind needed some money so greg needed his car back he just paid him to drive the car back for him he helps him out sometimes and he says marco lives in
Starting point is 01:13:12 baltimore and they said uh sammy where's he i think he's in charlotte okay who is sammy to greg uh that childhood friend and manager oh boy person he wants to take care of is what that is. Yeah. So he said, okay, describe the injuries on your body. I'm covered in bruises, scratches. My whole body hurts. My neck, I've got handprints on my neck from where he strangled me. I've had handprints on my wrist and my arms from where Sammy restrained me. And he said, show me where Sammy grabbed you.
Starting point is 01:13:42 Left wrist, okay. She said, you can see handprints. And, um, she said anywhere else on your elbow, grabbing me by the elbow. I guess Sammy restrained her from behind is how that worked. So she said, and you're, you're fighting to get away from Sammy. And she says, yes, I hit him. Isn't it? What Nicole says. And they said, I'm coverage. Nicole says I'm covered in bruises. My feet are bruised. My whole body is bruised. He just didn't.
Starting point is 01:14:09 He just didn't. And they said, who is he, Sammy or Greg? And she says, Greg. I'm talking about him. She said, Greg did all. And then the cop says, OK, let's get off of Sammy for now. Show us what. Tell us what Greg did.
Starting point is 01:14:24 My elbow, where it sprainedrained my shoulders and my back. Is that where from where you hit the guns? Yes. This is where from he dragged. This is where he from where he dragged me on the floor where my back hurts here. He said my chin. I'm not sure how I got this. I'm not sure where where I got this.
Starting point is 01:14:39 I mean, but I guess when I hit the guns, she said, maybe I hit my chin. I'm not sure. So the cop says, OK, during this incident, now that you mentioned Sammy was assaulted, also assaulted you. What do you think, Sammy? The injuries, the way Sammy grabbed you, what type of injuries do you think you received from Sammy? And she said, my wrists have handprints on them from where he restrained me. Sammy never choked me. He never hit me.
Starting point is 01:15:04 He didn't do anything except restrain me. The cop says, and that's the dark bruising left on your wrist? Right. And she said, yes, because he held me like this. He was standing behind me, up behind me. She said, I did everything in my power because he's not big like Greg. I was able to get, you know, I was able to fight him back. And I did hit him a couple times.
Starting point is 01:15:24 I was able to, you know, like I was able to get away from Sammy. I could not get away from Greg. So they said said how tall are you and how much do you weigh for the record she's five nine and a half 130 pounds and i'd say i have an athletic build i'd say i'm the kind of girl that like nfl players and rappers want to fuck you know people like that you can catch that yoga studio being hot as fuck that general statuesque fucking hot chick. You know what we're talking about. And she said, okay, and described Greg. He's 6'4", 265 right now.
Starting point is 01:15:54 I think he just lost a bunch of weight. So she said, big guy, muscles strong. Defensive end Carolina Panthers. I mean, he's trained to tackle people. He's all man. He's a huge, crazy motherfucker and he she said he just he just snapped i'm not sure he just lost it and they said and when you think how he lost it when he was talking about and holder says it was an off day all night like it was an off day it was off between them i think that set him off for the
Starting point is 01:16:24 moment but earlier in the night he had already yelled at sammy here already stormed off and left for an hour to cool off that's when sammy knocked the champagne glass over he was being weird at bubble he was just just in he was in a weird mood all night and i think after all the drinking and then we got back there and he started reflecting back on a relationship because we had just started to try to work things out. We've always been off and on, but this time we were really trying to work on us. And so they said, give me a time frame of your relationship. 2012. We met in 2012, started dating in. We were very good friends.
Starting point is 01:16:59 One of my best friends. Yeah, you were one of your best friends. He's just like, I just met this super hot chick that I just want to be friends with. That's what most 25-year-old NFL players, they have a whole lot of just hot chick friends they hang out with. If you're a hot chick and an NFL player is your friend, he's not your friend. He's just waiting to fuck you. That's all it is. He's either going out with one of your friends as long as he can fuck you yeah he's either going out with one of your
Starting point is 01:17:29 friends you're going out with one of his friends and when all that's cleaned up he's planning on plowing you just to let you know and that pretty much goes for anybody with a penis but especially an nfl player so uh i had seen him every week since that year, 2012. There hasn't been a week that I don't, that, you know, I see him all the time. He's very close to me. So they talk about when they started dating and they said, okay, when you first, when the, when did the first incident occur? How long after you started dating? You say you started in September.
Starting point is 01:17:59 She said it was never like this. It was never this bad. It would just be, you know, us getting in an argument. I would try to block the door. That's what I'm happened. I'm sure that's when this was. I tried to block the door and stop him from leaving one time, and he picked me up and threw me down on the bed. So it wasn't like I got hurt.
Starting point is 01:18:17 There was no bruising. She said, I mean, it started getting pretty bad after Christmas, probably January, I'd say, December, January of the first year. They said, OK, so you moved in when you started dating in September. When did you move in altogether? We started. I mean, right from the time we started dating in September, I spent every single night with him until we broke up. We broke up and then I moved out. He kicked me out of his home on the 1st of March.
Starting point is 01:18:45 So she says, March, I can get, when did he kick you out again? March, I can give you exact dates through my Instagram. I'm sure the pictures can give a better timeline. So they said, so around March 2014, how many incidents of violence were there in the relationship prior to this incident? Not many, she says. So they go, well well what's not many and nicole says a handful oh my god that's too many way too many if you're accepting a handful as fine that's wrong in less than two years you've got a handful a handful domestic violence situation just a handful get out it's all not many wow and the detective says
Starting point is 01:19:27 just give me a number like you know ballpark it she says well i mean i guess that's too many is what she said yeah and she said no just give me a number if you could and she said two or three that's too many yeah one is too many two or three is way too many. They said, did you report any of this in the past? No. Why not? Quote, he terrifies me.
Starting point is 01:19:50 And I know that he would have killed, uh, he would have killed me. And they said, why do you think that she said? Cause he had said it before. So, um,
Starting point is 01:19:58 they said, I mean like how soon after the relationship or into the relationship. And Nicole said, uh, it's been ever since we broke up, uh, in March. So after you guys broke up in March, you were still communicating. Is that when he was threatening you? Uh, no, it was never like that.
Starting point is 01:20:13 Nicole says it was, I mean, we got along most of the time. He was big on ignoring me, like, um, blocking my phone number. Then he would come back in town and he would fly me out. And then, you know something would trigger it he would start we would start getting into arguments an argument would get escalated i mean we were constantly on and off people who don't belong together yeah he's childish as fuck and probably shouldn't be any relationship this guy's a fucking menace and you guys are oil and water clearly anyway so not good and uh so she says quote um um how did you come up with oh yeah
Starting point is 01:20:48 every time i would reach out to him via email something begging for him back begging for him to give me another chance it was always my fault everything was my fault and she and um she said but when he threatened to kill you how did you was that that via text? Or Nicole said it was just, you know, no one would be more, no one would, no, it would just be more of us like chilling and hanging out. He would just, you know, we'd be talking up about something, and he would just nonchalantly bring up stuff like that. They said, like, that he would just kill you? And she said, well, that he has people for that.
Starting point is 01:21:24 He's got murderers. You haven't made enough. You've only made like $2 million, bro. You don't have enough money to hire murderers at this point. Not good ones anyway. You'll be broke. Yeah. So they said, okay, and what made that conversation come up?
Starting point is 01:21:40 And she said she couldn't remember. She said, we've been in a lot of conversations. We've been in a lot of fights, a lot of arguments. It's gotten very escalated. He is very dramatic. He was very stubborn. So they said, she said, he gets this weird, I mean, it was a fight. It was a bad fight.
Starting point is 01:21:57 So then they said that when this other guy was holding you, Sammy, how long was he restraining you? A couple of minutes. They said two to three minutes. And she said, till the police, until the police got there, till you heard the sirens. She said, I would say a good solid minute and a half before Greg called the police. Sammy had his, he was restraining me. And she said, and the hands were up across your chest. And during the whole, yes. And the whole police, the whole time that Greg was on the phone with the police, the whole time he was restraining me. So it was more like five minutes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:31 It just went by fast. So they said he moved me from the bedroom to the kitchen. You called for Sammy. Sammy moved you in. They're just going over it a couple of times there. They said, so he grabbed you like this and brought you out of the room and she said no it was more like this spare hug from behind i'm trying to get her to tell the same story a few times so they know if it's true or not here so they said was sammy saying anything
Starting point is 01:22:55 to you when he was pulling you or if you can remember and she said no i just kept begging him to put me down he wasn wasn't. He wasn't talking. Greg was on the phone. He was being quiet. He just did exactly what Greg asked him to do. And they said, were your feet on the ground or did he pick you up off the ground? And she said, both. So, yeah, she said he was actually carrying you.
Starting point is 01:23:17 Mostly when I was in the kitchen, I was on the ground. He dragged me and carried me. I was kicking. I mean, it was like bad. Yeah. Yeah. He dragged me and carried me. I was kicking. I mean, it was like bad. Yeah, someone's fucking dragging you like a bouncer throwing you out of the bar but not letting you leave. So she said, they said, is there anything you think is important that we need to know that we might not have asked you? Something that would be pertinent to this investigation that would help out.
Starting point is 01:23:40 And Nicole says, his family, his mother hates me. I don't know what that's pertinent for but i think it's hilarious he told his mom about nelly and she despises she hates nelly you don't understand worse than me only two person she hates more than me is nelly so they said um was it charlotte is she from charlotte and she said she's here. She works right here. I guess the mother. She lives in Charlotte? Yeah, in Huntersville. They said, now, where is Greg from? Memphis, Tennessee.
Starting point is 01:24:10 That's where he grew up there. They said, she said, his buddies all work for him. David Martin, Sammy Curtis, Marco, and his other assistant was not there. His assistant's name is Mo. She said, his new one, and they will do anything for him they have sat in front of my house before i've come home from work and his assistants have been parked they say they're just parked there you know it's been a different excuse every time that it's happened three four five times what i've come i've come home and there's been a one of greg's
Starting point is 01:24:41 cars parked it's not greg in. It's one of his assistants. Oh my, that is creepy as fuck. He makes dudes go. He's had people, people stalk you. He's had people stalk you. Yeah. Like what,
Starting point is 01:24:55 how do you, how do you get to that point in the relationship where you're paying your friends to go stalk a woman for you? Jesus. And they said, this is after you moved out in March. And she said yeah and they say so what do you equate this as which is a weird question to ask her yeah and she said
Starting point is 01:25:11 he was showing up at my house uninvited many times standing on my door coming in greg has he one time he came in storm straight upstairs looking in my closet smelling my pillows my towels he always thinks i'm cheating on him smelling towels he's like you're out of band-aids i knew it sniffing pillows and towels that's such a weird smelling for cologne yeah that's a crazy person does that a sick crazy fuck they, do you have a key? Does he have a key? No. Then how did he get in?
Starting point is 01:25:48 My roommate doesn't sleep there. She lives with her boyfriend. So I'm there by myself every night. They said, well, how would he come in? I would let him in. They said, OK. Didn't know if it was a break in. And she says, I've always loved him.
Starting point is 01:26:00 I love him. Or I loved him, she says. They said, I've always been um wanting him to get better wanting us to get better i've always wanted that that's what she said so yeah she sat around waiting for him to stop hitting her uh during this relationship stop being a dick and he that's impossible so then he broke up with her, and then she fucked Nellie, and then God forbid, now it's all on. And he cannot let it go. At all.
Starting point is 01:26:30 Not at all. So he's released on bond the next day, and he's charged with misdemeanor assault on a female and communicating a threat. They said she has large areas of bruising and swelling, slammed all around. She filed for a restraining order against him. Arrest warrant said that he made a threat in a manner and under circumstances which would cause a reasonable person to believe the threat was likely to be carried out. Oh, boy. Well, if someone says, I'm going to kill you as they're strangling you, it holds more weight he's doing if they're like in texas you know what i mean it just holds more weight so this occurred after obviously an after party everyone was fucked up this is all in the paper they're talking about
Starting point is 01:27:15 strangling they're saying he had assault weapons and or shotguns this all looks very bad in the paper um at one point hardy allegedly bragged that the assault weapons were loaded and threatened to shoot Holder if she went to the media or reported his assaults to anyone. She alleged Hardy has 25 to 30 firearms, AK-47s, automatic-looking weapons, shotguns, rifles, and pistols.
Starting point is 01:27:38 In the paper, it says that. Wow. He's jailed overnight. She's not allowed to have any contact with Holder here and he's to begin attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings three times a week. Oh, attacking Hardy and his friend Sammy Curtis, and then refused to leave the home, and Hardy called 911 and all of that. So just he said, she said here. They said that, this is his lawyer,
Starting point is 01:28:17 she weighs less than 120 pounds. Mr. Hardy's an all-pro defensive end, big, strong. It was a fight. He threw her around the room. That's the prosecutor. Oh, strong. It was a fight. He threw her around the room. That's the prosecutor. Oh, boy. Usually in a fight, there are two participants. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:28:30 Yes, that's a fight. No, that's a beating. If one of the participants weighs 180 pounds or 140 pounds more than the other, that's just a beating at that point. So, yeah, Hardy was supposed to – they're talking about then his career. So September 17, 2014, the NFL places Greg Hardy on the exempt list. Oh. Means he's not allowed to play right now. They're figuring out what to do with him. Oh, this was post-Ray Rice, so that makes sense.
Starting point is 01:28:56 They had like a – Right around the same time here. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so they go 7-8-1 this year, Carolina. Not very good. They actually make the playoffs with a 7-8-1 this year, Carolina. Not very good. They actually make the playoffs with a 7-8-1 record. Oh, wow. How bad was the NFC?
Starting point is 01:29:11 Real bad. They beat the Cardinals in the first round of the playoffs. I do remember that. Which is hilarious. Then they lost to Seattle that year. Yeah. So that year he plays in one game. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:29:24 One game, starts one game, has one sack. So that's his whole career. But he does make, because he's a franchise, he got franchised right before that, $13,116,000. Holy shit. The average salary of the top five salaried guys at your position. Defensive end is a huge pay position. Oh, my. Yeah, think about that. of the top five salaried guys at your position defensive end is a huge pay position oh my yeah think about that so he got he made from two million dollars combined over three four years
Starting point is 01:29:52 yes to 13 for one season one up for one game for one day one sack 13 million dollars they paid for that sack in the nfl i hope that really fucking i hope that that won a game for them wow february 9th 2015 the charges are dropped is that right against him yes um he went to the court to assault face charges of assaulting and communicating threats and all that kind of stuff and uh he was facing a judge for the second time on the charges after he was found guilty in a bench trial in July. Oh, shit. So he was found guilty. He appealed and requested the case be heard before a jury in the Superior Court.
Starting point is 01:30:35 So in North Carolina, defendants convicted in district court have a right to a jury trial in Superior Court. And under state law, now that he been it's dropped here his earlier conviction is wiped away unbelievable yeah that is fucking wild so the state asked for the charges to be dismissed after nicole didn't make herself available for the trial also she wouldn't testify she wasn't cooperating district attorney said they went through great lengths to track her down when she didn't show up for court. They said it appears she intentionally made herself unavailable to the state. Wow.
Starting point is 01:31:09 Said the prosecutors last spoke with the victim in October and November 2014. A written statement from the DA's office stated during those conversations, the victim expressed that she did not want to participate in another trial because she already went through a trial. They did it once already. She didn't want to relive this. Yep. And they haven't been able to reach her since November. So he said, the DA said he visited her home, employer, and even put surveillance on her new home where she was believed to be living. And they said that it wouldn't be appropriate to move forward with the case without her because they don't have any evidence at that point.
Starting point is 01:31:46 So nothing you can do. They did say the DA said, we're committed to stopping domestic violence, but we also want victims to come forward and cooperate. Yeah. The state also said it had reliable information that Holder reached a settlement before this trial began. Is that right? It's a payoff. Yeah, that's what they say. That's what the state says.
Starting point is 01:32:08 Who knows if it's true or not, but it seems reasonable. I mean, he could probably use money today, so it would make sense. Yeah, it's fucking crazy. So they said that could she face legal charges for not showing up? And they said she would have had to comply with the subpoena if she was served but where they were never able to serve her oh can't serve her then yeah yeah so yeah hardy walked out of the courtroom lots of media was there and they said when asked what he would say to critics that say he paid her off he just wouldn't answer uh he wouldn't answer any questions here and um one of the guys here,
Starting point is 01:32:46 one fan they asked that was hanging around, they said, well, should the team get rid of Hardy? And this guy said, a guy who beats up his wife or his girlfriend and cuts the person a check is not kosher. Just because a guy has money doesn't make him an innocent man. Good point. Yeah, but another guy
Starting point is 01:33:01 said, I think he should be able to play though because the mistakes people make, everybody makes them. Yeah, but another guy said, I think he should be able to play, though, because the mistakes people make, everybody makes them. Yeah, you're always beating your girlfriend up. How's the safety of the women in your life, sir? That's a guy who's beat a girlfriend up. I mean, right? Even though they came up with the laws and the rules that say you get suspended for a couple days once you do domestic violence i think he served his time what the fuck man another guy said even though we don't know if he's still innocent or guilty the charges were dismissed and people and people think since
Starting point is 01:33:36 some of the legal problems are gone maybe this opens the door to him coming back people are interested not in the details of the story because that's kind of played out at this point. They're interested in how it affects football, wins and losses. Wow, man. The guy accused, well, rightfully so, of her sleeping with a man who happened to be Nelly and beat the shit out of her over a sustained significant amount of time and yeah alleged pretty much well allegedly allegedly that's yeah that's so you can't you can't be concerned about wins and losses with that that's a crazy night wow that is holy shit and then people are comparing they're going rake a ruth on him too because he played for the Panthers. No, we don't tell the story. It's played out like Nelly. Exactly. Like Nelly?
Starting point is 01:34:29 I'll play it out. March 19, 2015, the NFL places him on the exempt list again. 2015, March 19, 2015, the Dallas Cowboys sign him. Who could possibly want him? The Cowboys must have nudged the Raiders out of the way as
Starting point is 01:34:45 they fucking climbed over each other to get to him they were like nope we got here first and then they went why is it always only us that wants to sign these fuck-ups what the fuck or belichick yeah the patriots are figuring out too now they figured it out too but the and the the cowboys love people that beat the shit out of the. Oh, yeah. Oh, the Cowboys are the that is the domestic violence all-star team. Absolutely. Not the players. But if you're a Cowboys fan, you root for you like to see a woman with a black eye. I feel like if I see with a Cowboys hat, I go.
Starting point is 01:35:19 They like a black eyed woman right there. Now I'm just picking on Cowboy fans. But big black bruise on her thigh you're definitely putting up with a lot of shit if you're a cowboy fan for sure um so the nfl on april 22nd 2015 suspends him for 10 games 10 games and the cowboys didn't know they were taking a chance they didn't know what the league would do turns out suspended by 10 games. They said that Hardy was informed that an extensive two-month NFL investigation following the dismissal of his case
Starting point is 01:35:50 determined that there was sufficient credible evidence that he engaged in conduct that violated NFL policies in multiple respects and with aggravating circumstances. They said, we don't care what the court said. We know what happened. Fuck you. So they said, quote, first he used physical force against her, which caused her to land in a bathtub.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Second, he used physical force against her, which caused her to land on a futon that was covered with at least four semi-automatic rifles. Third, he used physical force against her by placing his hands around her neck and applying enough pressure to leave visible visible marks. And fourth, he used his own physical force to shove her against a wall in the apartment's hall entryway. The net effects of these acts is that Ms. Holder was severely traumatized and sustained a range of injuries, including bruises, scratches on her neck, shoulders, upper back, arms, and feet. That's Roger Goodell's letter. It's a great assessment. Finally, it sounds like
Starting point is 01:36:45 they're stepping up somebody the use of physical force under the circumstances present here against a woman substantially smaller than you this is the letter to greg hardy and in the presence of powerful military style assault weapons constitutes a significant act of violence and violation of the personal conduct policy you sir yeah may fuck off since the court didn't give it to him. Ten games. They also found that Hardy failed to provide complete and accurate information to the league in conjunction with the investigation. Yes.
Starting point is 01:37:17 The suspension will begin September 5th, and he's eligible to return after the 10th game of the season. If he serves all 10 games, his first appearance will be Thanksgiving. So they suspend him. September 2015, everything's going so wonderful. A son is born. Jesus. What?
Starting point is 01:37:37 He's got 10 weeks of suspension to fucking hang around the house and bring him up. A son is born. No idea who he impregnates. up a son is born no idea who he impregnates but uh son is born what do you think he's gonna name him jimmy oh no way is it the third no he doesn't he doesn't he names him carter oh after quincy i believe no i'm just kidding probably after low wayne he seems yeah music fan yeah yeah well definitely not after Nelly. We know that much. Maybe it's after Jay-Z. So October 5th, they place him on the exempt list. October 5th, he's reinstated from suspension.
Starting point is 01:38:13 So he gets a suspension cut down, actually, like in half. 2015 Cowboys, ooh, they're hot, hot, hot. Four and 12. Oh, boy. Sucking hard. Greg plays in all 12 games he's not suspended for. He starts all 12 games, and he has six sacks. Okay, not bad.
Starting point is 01:38:32 So, not bad getting back into the groove of things. He does make some dumb comments here. Yes. They talked to him on October 6, 2015. Wow. They talked to him on October 6, 2015. Wow. He says he's taking aim at Tom Brady and the New England Patriots here because they're going to play them that week.
Starting point is 01:38:52 And he says that, yeah, they have – he wants to put pressure on Brady and he's going to have a key role in everything. And he says, quote, the same – they said, what are your views facing Tom Brady? And he says, the same way I did last time I saw him, quote, the same way they said, what are your views facing Tom Brady? And he says, the same way I did last time I saw him, hopefully on the ground. So that's what he's talking some shit. He said, I love seeing Tom Brady. You seen his wife?
Starting point is 01:39:15 I hope she comes to the game. I hope her sister comes to the game. Oh, my God. What is it? You're going to beat his wife? I'm going to beat his wife and fuck his sister-in-law is what I'm going to do. His wife looks good, but she'd look better with two black eyes and a dick in her sister i'll tell you that much what is he trying to say that's he's gonna fuck his sister yeah or her sister sorry so um the patriots provided tom brady's thoughts on that
Starting point is 01:39:42 brady said i'm just getting ready to play. I'm focused on my job. He's a great player. It takes a lot of different things to handle a guy like that. He's been a great player since he's been in the league. We're going to have to prepare for him and be ready for the different types of moves that he's got. They have a good D-line anyway. They count on getting pressure from their front four to get to the quarterback.
Starting point is 01:40:01 I don't really care about his personal feelings. He talks about football. Yeah, he just said professional stuff rather than I want to fuck his wife's sister. That's hilarious. He also expressed, he said he was very excited to get out there. He said, quote, I hope I come out guns blazing. Oh, my God. Don't say that after you threw the gun.
Starting point is 01:40:21 That's just dumb. Yeah. They were not happy. The league wasn't happy with his choice of words considering he's him. The coach said, well, we just addressed it immediately. In other words, we had to talk to him. That's not how we want to operate as an organization. Players and coaches in our organization understand that.
Starting point is 01:40:38 We want to distinguish ourselves with our play, not with what we say. We want to define ourselves with what we do. Greg understands that now. That's how we want to proceed going forward. Some of Greg's comments in his first contract with the media he starts getting real bizarre here too. He starts doing some weird shit.
Starting point is 01:40:56 October 26, 2015 he's in a heated argument with the special teams coordinator of the Cowboys which is very weird because he doesn't play special teams. You should have no reason to talk to that man. It's very odd. He became upset in the fourth quarter.
Starting point is 01:41:11 He shoved teammates and got in a shouting match with Des Bryant after the Cowboys gave up. This is why he yelled at him. The Cowboys gave up a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. So he was yelling at the special teams guy that you suck, which is the head coach's job, not yours. Head coaches like to yell at people. And when you jump the gun and yell at someone before they get a chance to yell
Starting point is 01:41:34 at someone, not going to make them happy at all. So after the game, though, Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones, of course, applauded Hardy's passion. He cares. You fucking idiots. We knew he's had passion. Passion was never the issue. Gotta give him credit.
Starting point is 01:41:52 When you're strangling a woman, telling her you're going to kill her, that's passion. That's not good passion. It's certainly a moment of passion. Jesus, it's fucking insane, allegedly. He said, wow. The footage was shown in the post game show and all the tv shows and they really made a big deal out of it and he said no comment the coach that he yelled at said he wanted to get in there and kind of get some of the guys get some of the guys a little
Starting point is 01:42:18 bit maybe get them fired up it was just not the right time it's really not an issue i just had to communicate what we're going to do on the next return, so I really wanted him to move on so we could get going. Yeah, he has nothing to do with special teams. I told him to fuck off. That's what the argument was. Who the fuck are you? And when it says head coach under your name, you can say a fucking word to me.
Starting point is 01:42:38 Until then, suck my cock is what he said. Jason Garrett said, I was standing right there. To be a good football player and a good football team, you have to have passion and put it all out there. Sometimes in a game, things don't go well and you have a response. A pro football coach and a pro football team understand
Starting point is 01:42:56 that those things happen. You want the guys with passion. You do. You do. On the field. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Teammates also, one of his teammates said it was surprising he was in there. I knew I know when he came, he kind of pushed me a little bit. I just didn't realize he was he who he was. I was like, oh, yeah. Who is this? Once you realize it's Greg, you're like, we need to make a play. We understand that that was our fault to give up that lead, and he was just showing us the passion to show us we need to fix it. I think after you give up a 100-yard kick return, that coach, that special teams coach, knows he's going to get grilled by the head coach later on.
Starting point is 01:43:38 So he is going to absolutely let you know what the fuck you did wrong, and you don't need Greg Hardy probably to tell you. Wow, what a fucking dick. Anyway, November 5th, 2015, his domestic violence-related charges are expunged from his criminal record. Is that right? Yep, his attorney informed Charlotte Observer of the whole thing here. Charlotte Observer of the whole thing here. He was sentenced to a suspended 60-day jail term and 18 months of probation,
Starting point is 01:44:11 but then it all got – they got his appeal. It was, you know, whatever. So it's all expunged now. He is good now. He's expunged now. We've never had that before. He has no charges now at all. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:23 He has no charges now at all. No. Yeah. Then, yeah, November 6, 2014 or 2015, more details come out from. About the night? About the night. Before all that stuff I told you, that wasn't public. Oh.
Starting point is 01:44:41 That wasn't public until later. Is that right? At the time it was going on, it was just she said he beat her up, and he said that she attacked him, and it was he said she said, and we don't know what's going on. None of all those details were public. Unbelievable. So it's one of those. And then Deadspin comes out with, this is why NFL star Greg Hardy was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend. And this is how it starts. Quote, barefoot and frightened, Nicole Holder walked as fast as she could through the darkness.
Starting point is 01:45:11 And the moment she saw the cop, she ran. That's not a good way to start. Yeah. And they talk about all the kill me so I don't have to. That's when that comes out. Wow. All that kind of shit. Yeah, it's a lot and she also told
Starting point is 01:45:27 a an officer at the time quote it doesn't matter nothing's going to happen to him anyway jesus she knows she knew and she was right i mean that's that's what it is so um they talk all about this they talk about jerry jones called him a real leader who has the respect of all his teammates. And they said, unlike Ray Rice, who, you know, Hardy hasn't become a pariah. He's become, it's not on video. So he's all good. So Hardy won't talk about it at all. He won't tell anybody what happened or what's going on here.
Starting point is 01:45:59 He doesn't want to be reminded. No, but they had photos that they published from that night. And it's fucking, yeah. I mean, yeah, this article is really damning. I mean, it's a bad fucking article. They talk about, quote, this is a quote from her. It was really up and down. It always seemed like there was an issue. It was either really good or really bad.
Starting point is 01:46:20 I felt I didn't think there was any in between. Talks about his entourage and shit like that. Bottle of champagne, party foul, all the shit she described. Is there anything more about here? Oh, yeah. From there, she went with the rapper to the Ritz Carlton. That's right. They had plans.
Starting point is 01:46:41 Oh, they had plans to travel on her birthday, but he canceled out. So she fucked Nelly instead. Oh, they had plans to travel on her birthday, but he canceled out. So she fucked Nellie instead. Oh, burner. Now it makes sense. But you don't see that girl again. You stopped talking to her. You cut her off. That is fucking wild.
Starting point is 01:46:56 So, yeah, that's what's going on. They talk about all of that. Said that the people were cold to her um as part of the group entered there anyway so a friend said they overheard her saying what are you going to do break my arm she was screaming and crying um then they said it sounded like a body being pushed around and slammed the body slamming went from the hallway to the kitchen for the living room uh as all this is going on this is the girl that was there. I'm still in bed. The body throwing had been going on for a few minutes,
Starting point is 01:47:27 then subsided shortly. Then the arguing began, and I heard Greg say, I'm calling the police. Marco noticed me awake and listening and told me to go back to sleep. I began putting on my clothes, and Marco said,
Starting point is 01:47:39 where are you going? And I told him, I'm getting the fuck out of here. I heard everything. Marco said, you didn't hear shit, and she wanted it all. That's what this woman said. She is claimed.
Starting point is 01:47:49 That's this guy said. I then ran out of the apartment. I went downstairs to notify the security and he acted as if nothing were happening. At some point, the security calls the police. That's the transcript. And that's her in the background going, I've been listening to it. I saw it. All that kind
Starting point is 01:48:05 of shit um now the one guy has said who said he's no longer hardy's manager and working on his own business here and uh the other they couldn't reach people for comment a lot a lot of people want to comment i feel like people are a little frightened to him yeah a little bit um say they one officer wrote lawrence uh advised that she was upset because she heard holder being beat and now holder does not care about what happened lawrence advised that she was upset because she heard Holder being beat. And now Holder does not care about what happened. Lawrence advised that she would tell officers everything because the assault occurred and needed to be documented. Holder didn't want any part of it. She's like, it's not going to happen anyway.
Starting point is 01:48:37 No matter how much Holder told them nothing happened, the officers wouldn't leave. As they stood on the corner of these streets here next to the building, the sergeant tried again. He asked her if she could tell them what happened. She said nothing happened, then said, I fell down the stairs. Why did she do all that? Didn't want to be involved.
Starting point is 01:48:58 She's scared of him. Yeah. He asked if officers could take pictures of her injuries. She shook her head quietly and said no. When they walked toward her friend, the Lawrence lady from the 911 call, who was across the street, Holder told him, that girl is crazy. Don't listen to her. She didn't see shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:16 So the police took some photos of her injuries, but she wouldn't talk. She came in close, but stopped when she saw the officer uh turn on an in-car recording device she wouldn't fucking talk anymore so um they noticed that her bruises were becoming more visible as they stood there with her and she was also starting to talk a little bit more to the cops and uh they started a report the two officers, these officers told the other officers to get a warrant for Hardy and all that kind of shit. So that's how that's going on. She also told the cops that he said that if she ever did anything to damage his career, he would kill her. You know, the typical stuff you would expect them to say.
Starting point is 01:50:04 You know, the typical stuff you would expect them to say. They got a call from her lawyer at 9-0-4 saying she was afraid to go home and was instead staying at a Sheraton after visiting a local hospital. And at the hotel, she gave the full interview to the police. From the Ritz to the fucking Sheraton, poor thing. To the Sheraton, yeah, with a stop at the hospital in between. They said that the officer noticed a rifle leaning on a windowsill when they went up to Hardy's apartment. Hardy said it was an air rifle, and they said from their distance it looked like an air rifle.
Starting point is 01:50:34 They asked if he had any other weapons. He said he had a handgun in his bedroom. He said the only other weapon was a handgun. And when Hardy was forced by his arrest to turn over his weapons, he gives up 10 firearms. Wow. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:50:51 .223 caliber. It's in handwriting on a thing, so I got to make that. It's an AR. Tavor? Tavor? Tavor? T-A-V-O-R? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:51:03 Something like that, it looks like. It might be a brand. An L1A1 Sporter 308. Yep. 308 caliber. A, fuck, what is this? A POF P415? Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:21 It says multi-caliber? What the fuck is that? That means it probably has several barrels for it. .22 caliber, looks like a rifle, an SSAR, a.22 again, 12-gauge Highlander shotgun, Century Arms 7.62, a Mossberg 12-gauge, 7.62 a Mossberg 12 gauge yep and a Benelli M4 12 gauge
Starting point is 01:51:50 that's a nice 12 gauge yeah a lot of yeah he's got a lot of fucking guns a lot of big guns expensive shit yeah so um yeah they said that Hardy said they got gun they got oh they asked where were the guns during all this and Hardy said they got gun. They got. Oh, they asked, where were the guns during all this?
Starting point is 01:52:05 And Hardy said they got put up. Uh huh. Well, fuck that means. Yeah. We put them away. So overall, they portray the overall the documents, it says, portray a group of officers who took the case seriously and investigated rigorously. But the police didn't return phone calls to the press about a lot of things. And they said the guns that were the guns weren't the only part of the story that evolved.
Starting point is 01:52:29 The bit from the 911 call about how Holder was a girl or a friend that was got brought home was gone. Right. So that's the thing, too. No matter what he said, I don't even know this girl. Someday one of my friends brought her home. She's all coked up and acting crazy. So she was lying from the start yep from the fucking start um holder also showed another officer a text asking her to meet hardy there from hardy she's like i know him trust me we've been together
Starting point is 01:52:55 here's a million pictures of us together his number's in my phone i didn't just show up here yeah it's fucking crazy um so they said they called the police department supervisors said after hearing hardy's story and asking her to listen to the 911 call and call him back to see if it matched what hardy had told him she said it didn't sound like what i had described her so the other his stories didn't match up is what they're saying here so wow um the police took his written statement took a few pictures of his injuries, headed back downstairs. One officer saw another, the Harris guy, as he was leaving the bedroom inside the apartment. The officer asked Harris, who had the blonde chick was in there, Lawrence,
Starting point is 01:53:38 told her that she hadn't heard anything and that Holder had been asking for it and if he heard or saw anything. And he said no. And that never happened. He later changed his mind and gave an interview to police in which he denied having told Lawrence to ignore what happened, insinuating that Holder was drunk and a gold digger and that he was pretty sure that Hardy never hit Holder because, quote, it didn't look like she was smacked. She's a gold digger. Gold digger who didn't look smacked um wow that's fucking wild so yeah they said that fuck man that is so crazy um her relatives and a lawyer refused to help on this when they went to the second trial um they said she had pictures dating since the trial showing her all over the
Starting point is 01:54:21 place they were trying to track her down and they couldn't. So they said comparing her different statements, they all seem very consistent, whereas his don't, obviously. So either way, Hardy's declared legally innocent, goes back to the NFL. Oh, and that, by the way, his contract expires. He's declared a free agent, and nobody cares to resign him at this point in time in the NFL. Once that article comes out, that's what ended it all for him.
Starting point is 01:54:51 Unbelievable. That article. That was over. Once people found out the details, nobody fucking wanted anything to do with him. Even Jerry Jones was like, that's a little much for him. Is that right? So his total career earnings are $18,838,165. Done.
Starting point is 01:55:08 Done in the NFL. Out. Oh, my God. Out. So, I mean, Jesus Christ, this is terrible. I fuck this. She obviously went through some shit, this woman. Yeah, that's a tough night.
Starting point is 01:55:20 And no matter what, it's a tough everything. And, you know know the whole thing i fuck you got to feel bad for her so bad just to be able to be like nothing's gonna happen anyway who cares i was just gonna run away jesus i mean jesus them i mean the panthers really got fucked in the ass on their whole deal i mean the cowboys even i feel bad for all these people jimmy but not nearly as bad as I feel for Greg Hardy, chief operating officer at UP Auto in London, Ontario, Canada. Holy shit.
Starting point is 01:55:53 He's the president of a company. Greg Hardy, telecommunications professional, Seattle, Washington. Greg Hardy, lead carpenter at Hot Construction in Rochester, massachusetts here and finally greg hardy senior program manager at boeing oh my god that guy is actually an important cat he went to the missouri university of science and technology holy shit um yeah that's fucking crazy september 26 2016 he's arrested again is that right here he goes what's he arrested for this time cocaine baby oh that's what greg hardy needs fucking cocaine pulled over for failure to signal a left turn uh-huh they search his vehicle and find cocaine and uh some like shake of weed
Starting point is 01:56:41 coke is the problem just want to justify justify the NFL of not signing me again. Here's why. Yeah, yeah. Hardy told the police he didn't know what was in the bag that the cop said was cocaine. I don't know what that is. He said somebody gave it to me at a party the night before. Okay. I don't know what to tell you.
Starting point is 01:56:59 Yeah. So test positive for cocaine. It was in his wallet, by the way. When people give me unknown things i stuff them in my wallet immediately unknown things that look a lot like drugs yeah i don't know what they are i just i'll keep it in my wallet in case i want it hang on to this i'll ask somebody what it is later fuck man he said he'd been passing his oh my god quote he said look yes it was in my wallet and they said well how the fuck did it get in your wallet
Starting point is 01:57:25 if you didn't put it there and he said well perfectly reasonable explanation for this yeah i'd been passing my wallet around at a party okay number one nobody passes their wallet around at a party especially a guy who actually has something to steal right number two when someone's passing around a wallet, no one then puts expensive drugs in the said wallet. This is a very generous party. Everyone's very generous here. Trusting and generous.
Starting point is 01:57:55 They said, why were you passing your wallet around at a party? And he says, quote, because he was paying for everybody, and that must have been when the bag he was putting in his wallet. Okay. So rather than dish out money, took just passed his wallet and said just take what you need use whatever's in there for whatever yeah waste not what not like what are we talking about here so his agent drew rosenhouse at this point he's the guy who takes all the fuck ups on afterwards he declined to comment the nfl didn't make anything there uh make anything of it the police report also made
Starting point is 01:58:31 reference to a couple of gun club memberships found in his wallet just to say it here um so wow he served a suspension and now he's he could play yeah but you know, but nobody wants anything to fucking do with him. There's also reports that he had skipped meetings and had altercations with teammates in Dallas as well. Well, they were saying what a great leader he was and everything. He was actually missing meetings. And being a general dick. Being a general dickhole, yeah. Silver as fuck, that Cowboys management man.
Starting point is 01:59:03 They said that was likely a factor in the team's, you know, a factor in the team's decision to let him go. Yes, they're the Cowboys. If he was playing well and being a team leader, it doesn't matter what he did. Yeah, they could watch him walking around Columbine with an AR-15 and they'd be like, well, you know what, though? You know, he rushes hard from the edge so october 2016 what do you do when you have nothing else to do you do amateur mma jimmy that's what you do why not so he and he announced he's going to have a mixed martial arts career and been training for several months although he has no experience at all he uh makes his debut here on november 4th 2017 when he's going to do it and all that we'll
Starting point is 01:59:52 talk all about that here um march 3rd 2017 he uh they struck he strikes a plea deal on the cocaine charges here that will keep him out of jail it's a uh he dropped the cocaine charges here that will keep him out of jail. It's a, he dropped the felony charges down to a misdemeanor. He's got to stay out of trouble, do community service, and pay a $500 fine. Hardy said he's looking to get his life back in order. He said, quote, it went very well. Yes. My lawyers did an awesome job. I'm glad I have everything behind me so i can get back to work and
Starting point is 02:00:28 work on my life i'll continue to train and stay out of their way out of whose way yeah stay out of trouble and keep my head down yeah you should do that probably that would be terrific if you did that so wow 2017 has his first fight november 4th 2017 2017. He's going to go by Prince of War is going to be his nickname. Prince of War. Yeah. Remember the last guy that beat the hell out of a woman to the point of trying to murder her? His name had war in it also. Yeah, there's a lot of wars.
Starting point is 02:00:58 There's a bad sign here. His amateur, he does three amateur MMA fights and wins all three. One's 32 seconds with punches. One's a minute 36 with a head kick and punches. And then he knocks a guy out in 14 seconds with punches. Wow. So his first fight, June 12, 2018. He is fighting.
Starting point is 02:01:20 Oh, my God. This is the best ever, man. Jesus Christ, this is awesome. He's fighting. Oh, my God. This is the best ever, man. Jesus Christ, this is awesome. He's fighting the legend. Oh? Here he is. The legend is coming up here. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:33 He's got it. He fights, what is it, Austin Lane. Oh, no, the legend is the Joe Hawkins guy. I'm sorry. Joe Hawkins, who was 0-0 coming into his amateur career, lost one amateur fight in his whole career. His nickname is The Legend. How do you...
Starting point is 02:01:49 That's amazing. You lost your only amateur fight. You went pro. You're 0-0. You haven't fought one yet. You're going by The Legend. First guy he fights is Austin Lane, who's 4-0 coming in. And he's fighting who would want
Starting point is 02:02:05 to pay him who would want to give this man a paycheck jimmy can you name anybody there's two people in the world i can think i mean maybe three there you go ding ding ding i was gonna say him or vince mcmahon are the only fucking people who give this guy a dime al davis is even out of the running at this point he's dead by now so dana white gives him cash fuck yeah he does absolutely dana white this is dana white's tuesday night contender series season two episode one and he beats this four and oh guy wow he beats him with tko with and with punches in less than a minute 57 seconds and makes ten thousand dollars okay so august seven hundred thousand probably made way more than that.
Starting point is 02:02:46 Well, if he made $10,000, Dana made $10 million. Yeah. Because he's not giving people shit. So, August 7th, 2018, Taboris Boom Gordon. He's 3-0 coming in. His career, though, will be 3-2. So, this is Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Season 2, Episode 8. And he fights this guy.
Starting point is 02:03:06 And this lasts 17 seconds, this fight. Greg knocks him out with punches or TKO. They stop it. September 29, 2018, this is XFL Extreme Fight Night. XFL, I figured that's got to be copyrighted, but no, apparently not. He fights Ray Megatron Jones, who's one and one coming in. Megatron isn't copyrighted either? No, Megatron.
Starting point is 02:03:32 You're a one and one fighter. You don't get a nickname yet. No. No nicknames until you win. No. When you win 10 fights, get a nickname. Until that, shut the fuck up. So this fight goes 53 seconds, and it's a ko with punches against ray jones
Starting point is 02:03:48 ray megatron jones december or november 2018 a daughter is born oh that's what he needs yeah a young female life to bowl perfect in your life jesus poor kid um so January 19, 2009, 19, I should say, he fights Alan Pretty Boy Crowder, who is 9-3 coming in. This is at the event UFC Fight Night 143. And this fight, he's disqualified for using an illegal knee. Greg is. Balls or something? Somewhere in the second round this happens he does make uh 78 500 off of that okay next up to april 27 2019 dimitri the lifeguard
Starting point is 02:04:35 smoliako smoliakov yeah the lifeguard that's a hell of a gay fucking hell of a gimmick these nine nine and two coming into this fight but he's nine and four career so you see what happens here tko with punches uh greg wins he makes 153 grand off that fight oh shit yeah ufc is paying him four and one he is now now uh july 20th, 2019, he fights Juan the Kraken Adams. And he's 5-1 coming in. This is UFC on ESPN 4. And Greg wins. TKO with punches. Four.
Starting point is 02:05:18 I think it's the fourth time they've done it. Not on ESPN 4. It's UFC on ESPN Part 4. Got it. Okay. The fourth in the series series fourth installment in the series okay so um 45 seconds this is a tko and greg wins he's five and one now oh he next fights on october 18 2019 ben sos sosoli whose nickname is the combat womombat. I like that, actually. He's seven and two coming in, seven and three career,
Starting point is 02:05:53 and so we know what that's all about here. This is on UFC on ESPN Part 6, not ESPN 6. And apparently he beats him by unanimous decision, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 29 28 but yeah after the the night concluded the commission stated that the inspector had that cleared hardy to use his inhaler didn't have the authority to do so and the fight now has to be overturned as a no contest oh so he's still five and one but he did make 89 000 off it that's nice next up, November 19, 2019, Alexander Drago Volkov. So he's named after Ivan Drago and Nikolai Volkov.
Starting point is 02:06:33 Run from this man. Same time. He's 30-7. That's a good fighter, yeah. That's an experienced fighter. This is UFC Fight Night 163. And this goes all three rounds, goes the distance, and he loses a decision, a unanimous decision. He's 5-2 now, but he made $94,000 for that fight.
Starting point is 02:06:54 He is raking it in. Raking it in. May 9th, I guess that was November 9th, 2020. Then in May, he fights again. So for a guy that was used to making a lot of... Yeah, like that stretch. Yeah. 2020, then in May he fights again.
Starting point is 02:07:03 So for a guy that was used to making a lot of... Yeah, like a stretch. Yeah. He next fights Jorgen the Mad Titan DeCastro, who's 6-0 coming into this fight. And this goes all three rounds again. Goes the distance. This time he wins the unanimous decision, Greg does. 6-2, 185 grand he makes for that fight.
Starting point is 02:07:20 Wow. Now, here's where he fights the man with the greatest nickname of all time. What is it? In any fight that we've ever done, any fighter. Better than the Combat Wombat? Better than that, yes. He is, it's Maurice Green is his name,
Starting point is 02:07:35 and he goes by Maurice the Crochet Boss Green. What? The Crochet Boss. He's like, yeah, real men crochet, motherfucker. I'll beat your ass and stab you with these sticks. That is the greatest nickname of all time. The Crochet Boss. The Crochet Boss.
Starting point is 02:07:56 How amazing is that? Oh, man. My cousin Ian was so excited when he found that. He was like, the Crochet Boss, James. This is great. That's humility. It's so cool. He was like, the crochet boss, James. This is great. That's humility. It's so cool. So nine and four is the crochet boss.
Starting point is 02:08:09 And Greg crochets all over his face with a TKO with punches in the second round. Seven and two for Greg. 195 grand he makes for that. Holy shit. Now, November 1st, 2020, he's on UFC on ESPN, number 39 now. He vows to clear his name about past controversies. It's not enough that it's behind him. He declares, quote, I'm innocent.
Starting point is 02:08:36 He's innocent. That's right, goddammit. He said, some people from my past coming to extort me, put me in crazy situations, try to take food out of my family's mouth. And then there were a lot of outside circumstances going on. I was breaking down in my bathroom before I even started to fight. I was in tears trying to figure out how we're going to function and if I could go on. It was just a lot of drama, man. People trying to take advantage of my situation. He said, they're trying to prey on me man you guys know me by now i would have jumped off a building or done so or done so crazy done so crazy i don't know
Starting point is 02:09:12 if i was that guy you're always talking about i'm not i never will be i'm a good guy i've been a good guy an innocent man i always have been all right. Don't protest too much. Holy, a little bit, right? Especially when no one's even asking. Right. He said, the hate against me was so loud that you would have never believed me. No one would ever believe me. I've been telling you the same thing since literally day one. From the very beginning, I have said the same exact thing.
Starting point is 02:09:41 No, you haven't. Now, yeah, no, no. He said, well, you know what? Let's let them finish out in their own words. What do you say here? All right. I think it's time. We haven't heard from him in that context.
Starting point is 02:09:51 In their own words, quote, now it's just the time to where I'm in a place where I brought myself back. My family is safe from being targeted. My financial situation is not. My career is not. My family's safe. So now I can actually start to put the truth out there. I have a son.
Starting point is 02:10:08 I have a daughter who carries my last name. I need that name cleared. My little brother's about to try to get into the NBA and the NFL. Wow. I need them to have that name and to be proud to wear that name and to not be persecuted and not be talked about and not be brought down by that name because it's not right. That's why I'm doing this.
Starting point is 02:10:29 He just wants to give, Jimmy. He's just so generous. He fights Marcin Tybura. He's 20-6. Loses TKO to punches here. Second round, 431. He's 7-3. Made $KO to punches here. Oh. Second round, 431.
Starting point is 02:10:46 He's 7-3, made $105,000 off that fight. Not bad. Next up, he fights Ty Bam Bam Tuivasa. And Ty is TAI. He's 11-3 coming in, and this guy knocks him out in the first round with punches. Uh-oh. First round KO here, and not great for him. So now he's 7-4, Greg.
Starting point is 02:11:08 He did make $106,000. All these fights are for UFC, by the way. He went right to UFC. He's made almost a million dollars. Yeah. March 5, 2022, he fights Sergei Spivak, whose nickname is the Polar Bear. I like that. This is at UFC 272.
Starting point is 02:11:26 Sergei's 13-3 coming in. Greg loses to a TKO by punches in the first round. It is all falling apart. The wheels are coming off. Oh, it's not good. He's 7-5. He made $65,000 for that, and he better save it because a couple days later he is removed from the ufc roster
Starting point is 02:11:45 that's it he's out um been removed from their internal roster he's unlikely to be re-signed he's removed from the official rankings all that shit and um he said that he's far from done with mma and just got some fine tuning to do. Okay. Interesting. So, everybody in MMA, it was a weird thing because some people loved him and some people, you know, normal people hated him. Right. Yeah. So, June 15, 2022, who will have him now? Who?
Starting point is 02:12:21 The Bare Knuckle Fighting League. Oh, Jesus. He signed a multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting League. Oh, Jesus. He signed a multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. He said, I'm back and ready to knock everyone out in the baddest promotion there is. Everyone knows I can knock people out, and that's what I'm planning on doing. I can't wait to take the gloves off and rumble for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Holy fucking shit. That is ridiculous. So that doesn't work out. And rumble for bare knuckle fighting championship. Holy fucking shit. That is ridiculous.
Starting point is 02:12:48 So that doesn't work out. So he ends up boxing a little bit. Actual boxing. With gloves on this time. Gentleman's sport. Yeah. He fights Michael Cook, October 8, 2022. 0-3 career record. By the way, currently suspended by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission.
Starting point is 02:13:03 Yeah. He fights this guy. Knocks him out in the second round. He's 1-0. October 19, 2022, like 11 days later, he fights Haseem Rahman Jr. What? Remember, Haseem Rahman's the guy who knocked Lennox Lewis out. His kid, I guess, here is a fighter now, too. And his alias is Cold-Blo old cold-blooded here he's 12 and
Starting point is 02:13:27 one coming in this is his last fight though because greg beats him and his career's over right yes he retired i've seen he retired his kids junior on junior violence that was i don't like it so february 17th 2023 makes his bare knuckle debut against Josh Watson at BKFC Knuckle Mania 3. Hardy loses the fight by knockout in round two. So we next catch up with Greg very recently at Walmart. Yeah. He's apparently working at Walmart, um,
Starting point is 02:14:07 allegedly, um, rep selling things for like a TV. Like, is it like, like direct TV? It's some service. It's a,
Starting point is 02:14:14 it's a rep satellite ship. Yeah. Um, he's, he, there was pictures of him working on Walmart, uh, at Walmart.
Starting point is 02:14:21 People were sending them us like crazy. He, um, he, he worked there for a day though one day is all it took he says quote yo don't believe this shit man gotta clear things up because it's 2023 and y'all be wild and if people don't defend themselves obviously i don't work at walmart i'm trying to learn some new skills and if if y'all have been paying attention, you know that's what I do.
Starting point is 02:14:45 I infiltrate, start at the bottom, learn the skills, then attack. That's how we made over a million in UFC, bro. We're going to keep going. Okay. So he's going to make his way up to CEO of Walmart and then attack. He's going to start as a lowly greeter. attack he's gonna start as a lowly greeter um he had a 41 minute instagram live video of himself working at the walmart in garland where he was selling spectrum packages to customers for a marketing company he had a tie on and everything else he was talking all sorts of
Starting point is 02:15:18 shit though um later on he said quote i don't know how you do this nine to five shit this is as he walked into the store I thought I had it hard being a celebrity your job is hard and then he said quote I'm I started today I'm quitting today I'm trying to turn into a tycoon they turned me into a Walmart greeter wow he then said quote you know I can't spell or read i went to old miss all we did was drink can't spell or read then he's like this is bullshit he said quote trying to get it together bro i didn't bring my weed pen so he's like ah shit is it's all off the rails wow uh i don't need no money i i need to know how to run the business so I can run my own company. Wow.
Starting point is 02:16:08 So he chose to go sell Spectrum to learn how to do business? Yeah, yeah. That's what it was there. He wants to do that. Yeah, it's wild. People, I don't understand it, though. They said he was friendly to the shoppers. People said, one woman said she had no idea she was talking to this guy 10 years ago.
Starting point is 02:16:29 A vicious shark. Allegedly beat the shit out of his girlfriend. Yeah. Now, we know, obviously, that net worth things are shaky. They're shaky. Not reliable. They say we have $20 million each or some, it's probably $30 by now, some crazy amount of money that we absolutely don't have. But on multiple different sites, his net worth right now is valued at $13,000.
Starting point is 02:16:58 Oh, my God. It could be $13. It could be $13. $13,000 is what they have here. And this is from the site. I highlighted it and copied and pasted. god it could be thirteen dollars it could be thirteen dollars thirteen thousand dollars is what they have here uh and this this is from the site i highlighted it and copied and pasted which is a stark contract to the nfl and ufc earnings hardy's net worth is currently valued at thirteen thousand u.s dollars highlighting the steep fall from grace for the former nfl player that's how you close a fucking show with a fall from grace, everybody.
Starting point is 02:17:26 Oh, my God. And that is Greg Hardy. And quite a fucking mess of an asshole here. What a disappointment. Yeah, he's a dick. And he could have been a great player. When you've got 15 sacks and just, I'm going to take this, ball it up,
Starting point is 02:17:41 and throw it right in the garbage. Get yourself a $13 million franchise tag contract. God damn it. Make a fucking impression. Unbelievable. His problem is he hired everyone he knew, had them stalk his girlfriend. Once he got $13 million, he wasn't a normal person anymore, and he couldn't operate that way. That is Greg Hardy.
