The cute spirits are true. I have been keeping a lot of secrets from you. It is the end of an era.
Today, there is not an episode. Yes, I will explain. Instead, we're going to have a very overdue family
meeting. Five years ago, I created the first ever daily pop culture show in the conservative movement
called Poplitics. From that, the Cutservative Movement was born. And then in 2021, my second show,
a podcast called The Spillover Launched.
So to be completely honest, we thought of the name of the show and the branding before I had
figured out what the show format would be and the type of content I'd be doing.
So the look and name of the podcast never really made sense to begin with.
And then about a year and a half ago, I sneakily started to change the direction of my content
without formally announcing it to be health and wellness focused.
So that included episodes on surviving trauma, relationships, theology, corruption in our food system.
All of this falls into health and wellness.
And I have seen real fruit in my audience since steering the podcast in this direction more than anything else that I've ever done.
So I believe it's time to lean into that.
And I know that poplitex really did bring so many of us together during the pandemic.
despite being this super silly pink and orange pop culture show, it brought such a necessary emotional reprieve during a very uncertain and lonely time for many of us.
It was a groundbreaking show for the conservative movement at that time. It proved that our side could have fun.
It proved that we could not take ourselves too seriously. And it also appealed to young women who appreciated beauty, fashion, and pop culture, but were also conservative, which just didn't exist in 2020.
But after four years of doing that show every day, it started to feel like a favorite shirt that didn't quite fit is the best way that I can explain it. It was hard to keep up with while trying to focus on growing the spillover. And I had held on to a small piece of poplittics by doing poplittics live every week on YouTube for the past year because I do take your comments to heart. And there was this loud and consistent amount of you who were still saying that you liked the pop culture.
content the best, despite my intuition telling me to move on, I just have a problem disappointing
anyone. So we went live weekly for me to cover pop culture and entertainment news stories.
And I love pop culture. I always have. I have tons of opinions. I have lost to say,
but we have to call a spade a spade. There is an expiration date on who can do this type of content.
Okay. You can't grow with it. Eventually, I think it becomes strange to be a certain age.
covering it for longevity, especially as somebody who is single and I'm not married with a family
yet. And so basically, I need to have a job. I have to be thinking about that and thinking about
how can I keep growing as a media personality in this space as I age and as my audience ages.
And so that's something with pop culture content that I have to be thinking about.
On the other hand, with the spillover, once I started to make a slight pivot,
in the content to focus on how we can heal a sick culture physically, mentally, and spiritually,
we saw a dramatic growth in the show that was just undeniable. We were getting flooded with
comments and DMs about how these episodes with various experts were inspiring serious changes
within yourselves and your families that couldn't be ignored. I have fun doing these interviews.
I get to learn alongside you doing these interviews, and I feel like it's become sort of a ministry
at this point. And so for that reason, it's time to make the podcast the main and only show that I do
and focus on leading health and wellness conversations within the conservative movement primarily.
But of course, others are always welcome along for the ride. We have outgrown the name,
The Spillover, literally and metaphorically. I have such big dreams for what this show and movement
can become. I pitched them all to Charlie Kirk, my team, my family, my friends, and everyone
who has heard my vision has been overwhelmed with excitement and enthusiasm for what I want to build going
forward. And everything won't be able to happen all at once. It will come in steps under God's
timing and with the help of people who want to financially support the show and brand,
which you can do with the link in the description or by getting in touch with TPSA to learn more.
But long term, I believe this show and brand can have a multi-generational impact on the future of health
and fighting this mission of food freedom for our country and also just living counterculturally,
okay?
Just living in a way that God designed us to live.
That's not always going to be popular, no matter if you lean left or right.
So what happens now?
Well, the last episode of The Spillover was my episode with Corey Dunn last week.
I tried to hint.
I tried to warn you.
There will not be any new podcast episodes the month of August entirely.
In the meantime, on the Pop-Litics, Instagram, every Thursday until September 9th and beyond Thursdays,
but definitely on Thursdays, we will be dropping hints and clues towards the rebrand.
The full rebrand will happen at 9 a.m. Pacific, noon Eastern, September 9th.
You will find out the new name of the show and much more.
So what should you listen to during the month of August, you ask?
Go back and listen to my episodes that you still haven't listened to.
Take this time to assess your own personal and family health goals.
What habits do you want to be starting this fall?
Have you found your local regenerative farmer yet?
If you could plan out your ideal wellness routine weekly, physically, spiritually, mentally,
what would it look like?
This is the time to take a deep breath, get serious about all the things that we've been learning about on this show.
Five years ago, I left an almost decade-long career in morning radio because in that position,
I felt like I wasn't making a big enough contribution to saving this amazing country.
I want you to know that this...
Shoot.
Abraham Lincoln on a chicken wing.
This is how I have to give us up to not cry.
I want you to know that this friendship between you and I,
these last five years at Turning Point USA,
have been the greatest love of my life.
And really, this is still just the very beginning.
It might be a little bit hard to break the habit of the old show name at first,
but just know that I have made every single decision on the branding of this show with you in mind.
And in time, I know it'll come naturally.
You will think that this rebrand is beautiful.
It will be more gender neutral.
So your husband isn't going to be embarrassed to share what he's listening to?
Because I've heard your messages where you're like, my husband loves the show,
but he's like embarrassed to share this like pink, sparkly podcast on his stories.
So I will still post my thoughts on red carpet fashion and whatever else is going on in pop culture.
And of course, Taylor Swift and major pop culture events on my personal Instagram stories on real Alex Clark.
And of course, there's always the Kutervatives Facebook group, OG KutServative till the day I die.
Now, the important part, everything is going to be going down on the Pop Politics Instagram.
I cannot stress this enough.
Make sure that you're following that so you don't miss clues and big and nests.
throughout the month of August. I will see you on September 9th for the new name reveal,
new branding, and all kinds of stuff. Will you be there for the remedy? Thank you for being the
funniest, smartest, most loyal audience, truly the just most fun. I brag about you guys all the
time. There's a lot of people that have amazing shows in the conservative movement. My audience is by
far the most unique. I feel like I have a stronger connection with you the most hosts do with
their audiences. And it's because of that reason that I take every decision so seriously that I
want everything to be perfect, that I hold on to things just because I don't want to disappoint you
guys. And so that's why I'm asking you to allow me to let this other stuff go, even though it has
been such a fun time for both of us. Through sickness, lobotomies, and most importantly,
in health.
