So under U.S. copyright law, section 203 of the Copyright Act, creators can cancel past assignments and reclaim their rights, 35 years after they originally signed them. And he pays $600,000 to a lobbyist firm. Now, I want to tell you out the reality of what? what pardons are these days. These days,

pardons, you can't buy a pardon necessarily. I'm not sure if it's illegal if you would, but the person you could only pay for a pardon would have to be the president. And I'm not sure if there's actually rules on a book that says, if that was done, it would be illegal. Now, obviously,

ethically, it would be completely out of balance. But the Constitution actually gives a lot of legal leeway to the president to be able to pardon someone. And when you pardon someone or the act of clemency, you could either do a full pardon, you could do a partial pardon, you could do a commutation, and you could do what's called a

reprieve. And each of those things are kind of allowed by the president to extend to any person within the union. So it could be a mass murderer, it could be a terrorist. And there's only very few restrictions on how the president could pardon and yes it applies to federal cases now boosie has had a particular case that we all know was a gun case that initially he caught when he was in san diego they saw a gun like in his waistline while he was out there like just doing a video and the police swooped in because they were surveilling those guys and they caught him with a gun actually they caught him in the security with the gun the security could have had his gun but busy had a gun too or actually at first he was trying to have his security to take both of the guns

the security did not take both of the guns. Bousi got charged with a gun. Now Bousi is not supposed to have a gun according to law. He's seen as a felon in possession and we all know about his history of being a felon. Now there is laws on the books that actually say, well, if someone is a felon, right, there is a way they could have their gun rights restored or they won't be his. hit with this felon in possession. And the reason is if their original crime, right, that they became a felon on, if it wasn't

a gun crime, there is a way that you could be seen as not being a felon in possession because really the First Amendment right, the right to bear arms, it's listed in the Constitution that it should not be impeded. And it really doesn't strike out the fact that it. if someone got in trouble before and it wasn't misusing a gun that they could never have a gun again. So it's like really a great area. By the way, this is going to be a huge situation. It's going to eventually go to the Supreme Court.

I probably see it happening in the 5th District. That's down there like in Texas or whatever. They usually do most gun stuff down there because when it goes to the federal court there, he has the best chance of through appeals and going eventually to the Supreme Court. But that's the big thing. Should people who got in trouble before? should they their gun rights to be stripped from them for life, even though the Constitution actually guarantees that, you know,

citizens who have either paid their, um, that's a society or they haven't misused the, the privilege of having a weapon, that they should be able to have a gun. So Boosie gets charged for this. And, um, Boosey actually beat the case.

How did he beat the case? He beat the case because it basically was saying, hey, listen, I, I shouldn't be charged with felon in possession, given my first case of blah, blah, blah. Now, the government, obviously, knowing that this was something that was going to boil up to the Supreme Court before they did that and started following the appeals process, which means going to circuit court, and then obviously it would be the Supreme Court. What they did was they filed another charge on Boosie, the same thing, felon in possession.

This time it was a different reason, so not double jeopardy. Double jeopardy means you can't file, I can't charge you for murder of the same guy twice. but I could charge you for murder and I could charge you for, I don't know, attempted murder. Well, even though you would probably be, I charge it for attempted murder and then the person ends up dying,

I could charge it for murder, even if you beat the attempted murder charge. It's a weird thing with double jeopardy. Double jeopardy just make sure you can't continually file the same charges, especially if a jury is acquitent. So they file a similar charge, which is the same felon in possession,

but they use a different reason. They say we're not saying that because Boozie's a felon, he shouldn't have the gun. We're saying in terms of gun possession, a part of this idea of possession of a weapon illegally is that you can't have been a fiend. So in federal statutes that actually, you know, even when you sign these disclosures with an ATF to buy a weapon, it actually says if you are as an addict, you cannot possess a gun. and they looked at Boosie's history, and Boosie's history was that he had a drug case. And they looked at that to say, well, according to how you pled, because when he pled guilty in a drug case before, he went to court-mandated like rehab or whatever the case is, which technically at that point puts you in the light of, you know, Boosie's probably selling the drug, not taking the drug, but because of the plea that he did, it makes it look like he's a

fiend. So they're saying you're a fiend and you're a fiend that has a gun. So that's a charge. So they're really trying to get, they were trying to get him. Eventually he, um, pled out. And when he pled out, the judge had real autonomy to sentence him up to three years. Remember he was acting like he was about to go away from a long time. But the judge actually understood the nuance of the situation. First of all, this is a type of, it's so rare. It's, it could go to the Supreme Court. The judge didn't give Boosie time. The boost, he actually gave Boosy like probation. So he looked at Boosie and said, hey, I know you just beat the last case they brought

with gun possession. Because you pled guilty here and you didn't go to a second trial, I'm just going to give you probation. Big win for Boosie. Now, here's the problem. Boosey's a rapper who moves around, got ops, move a certain way. And as you saw the feds filed the same charge on him twice, basically, he knows they're not going to just take this line down.

they're going to come back again. So he's been trying to get his record clean. He's been trying to get a pardoned. He wants his ability to have a gun restored because Boozy's the type of niggins. He moves in the trenches. So he gets this, like, lobbyist company. He gives him $600,000. What a lobbyist company is, say, for cigarettes or, you know, tobacco companies, they pay lobbyists a lot.

They want their product to still be in stores. They want it to not be so bad. bogged down with litigation, they can't have any market share. So they'll pay people to go to Washington and get senators and reps on their side to say, hey, let's not make laws that's going to ban cigarettes. Imagine if they ban cigarettes from like, you know what's funny? You ever go to a pharmacy, Walgreens or you go to like CVS? At the front desk, you get your prescription in the back by the pharmacy.

And at the front desk, they're selling you cigarettes. And then they'll sell you the patch right there. So there's some people that want to have litigation that says, hey, you know how liquor. And by the way, some liquor is sold in most stores or all stores actually in certain states. But like, for example, Jersey, you can't buy liquor in your convenience store or your pharmacy. In some other states, you can't. But all these are things that gets litigated on. The tobacco company doesn't want to get their product off the shelf.

So what they do is they got to, okay, let's send some lobbies and make sure these things aren't voted on. or they're not voted on in in um against our favor and they spent a lot of money doing it so lobbying is very popular right it could be out of country you know um a car company or or a car parts company that you know say trump gets into the office and now he's like now fuck all that's just we're going to do tariffs and blah blah they might lobby to be like hey we work with general motors give us an exception to the tariff don't charge us 20 so lobbying is a very popular way of trying to influence now it's very and if you're not that into politics

you're like what's the difference between lobbying and what's the difference between lobbying and just a bribe right? Well a lobbying is when you lobby there's particular rules you got to follow really well

He didn't get a pardon, and he's still considered a felon. He's on probation as well. Well, he sued, and he said, I want my money back. He says, I want at least half my money back, which is 300K, and he says, I sign a retainer agreement. The retainer agreement says, if y'all can't give him a pardon, I get at least. half my money back. But in reality, I should get all my money back because really, y'all scammed me. And this is where everything is coming on. So Boosey's been reacting on Twitter a lot. He said, Jack, shut your lying ass up. Talking about this stuff and Houston messed up the pardon.

You were sued in March and this happened in the end of May. Don't start lying now. I gave you three months to send my money back. So I guess he's talking to the guy that is, you know, a part of this lobbying group. It says, talking about Trump signed the pardon. So according to Busy, They lied to him and said, yo, Trump already signed the pardoned. Right? We're just waiting for it to get officially filed through, you know, this executive filing procedure. And once it gets filed, we could now serve, you know, the DOJ with it and you are now parted. That's how it works.

Except Trump never signed the pardon and he never got the official ratified copy of it.
