The Russian founder of the telegram messaging at Pavel Durov has been arrested at a French airport. Reports say authorities have been investigating a lack of moderators on the app, which they say allows criminal activity to take place.

Yeah, this is coming from a number of French media who quote sources in French law enforcement who say that Pavl Dorov was arrested on Saturday evening last night at an airport near Paris. He apparently arrived on his private jet from Azerbaijan and they're saying that he was arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant that was issued in connection with telegram's failure to moderate illegal content and cooperate with law enforcement over drug trafficking, child sexual content and fraud. This is just coming from French media, we should stress. Of course, Telegram would almost certainly deny all of those allegations.

But we'll have to see now whether he could appear in court today. French media are saying he could be indicted today. And of course, what the reaction will be. You mentioned that the Russian Foreign Ministry... Digital Services Act, its moderation is within industry standards, illegal. Darov's arrest at a French airport by that nation's cybersecurity and anti-fraud units is an important challenge for free speech globally. Durav was born in Russia and has French citizenship, the Russian embassy in France, said in a statement that it asked French authorities

for more details on the arrest. Meanwhile, Telegram said in a statement, quote, Telegram abides by EU laws, including the Digital Services Act, its moderation is within industry standards and constantly improving. Telegram CEO, Pavel Duraev, has nothing to hide, travels frequently in Europe. It is absurd to claim that a platform or its owners are responsible for abuses of that platform. We're awaiting a prompt resolution of this situation. While Derov's lawyer called the charges, quote, absolutely ridiculous. Now, many have reacted to this news. They own all the drinks. They own all, all the food being sold in the venue. They own the venue. The only thing they don't own is you, but they own your tour. Or they control your tour. So again, you know, calling them out or trying to, you know, wage war with them because they do spend money on, on, you know, promo or not necessarily promo, but PR.

So they don't want the brand of Live Nation to be slandered. And if they're, if they're paying you and you're on state saying fuck them, niggins, these executives, they petty too. They'll be like, okay, word is like that. Okay, let's see. So I just don't think this is the smartest idea. Perform for your fans and saying that you're doing for free, cool. But trying to be for the Live Nation.
