Emonthebrain - I Started Habit Tracking… and I’m Already More Productive

Episode Date: January 11, 2026

This episode is all about how to absolutely slay 2026, with a simple reflection + forecasting practice and a habit tracker that keeps you accountable. Em walks through the exact prompts she uses to re...flect on the past year (biggest wins and what got her there, biggest “losses” and what led to them, and the people/habits that supplied her energy). Then she shows how to forecast the next 6 months: visualize what it feels like to be your best self, choose 1–5 priorities, and list the habits/behaviors that bring those goals and that “highest self” energy to life. She also breaks down why consistency isn’t doing the same thing every day, it’s what you do on average. Finally, Em explains her monthly habit tracking system (grid notebook or digital): write your habits across the top, track days 1–31 down the side, and check boxes as you go so the things that make you feel your best don’t “silently slip through the cracks.” The core idea: discipline and consistency create predictability, and predictability makes your brain feel safe which is regulation.

Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, people of Earth and welcome back to Planet N. This episode is all about how to absolutely slay 2026. I have a practice that I have done the past two years that has been sort of life-changing in a way. It's a really great way to kind of reflect on the past year and forecast the future year ahead. And I've done a little something extra this year, which is really taking accountability for my habits and creating a habit tracker. The truth is, is that most people are not going to do what I talk about in this episode. And therefore, they will not make the progress that they want to make. But the dream does not work unless you do. So if you do what I talk about in this episode, I promise you you will be better off. I am five days in to this new exercise, this new practice.
Starting point is 00:00:53 of habit tracking and it is already making me way more productive and reminding me not only to be productive and get the work done but also to do the things that make me feel like my highest and best self which is super important it's really easy to get caught up in the day to day and get caught up in your to do list and accomplish all of the things that you need to accomplish for work and it's really easy to kind of forget about all of the things that we do for fun the things that make us feel like our best selves, the things that bring us joy, because joy is a performance enhancer. And so we're not only talking about, you know, discipline and being productive in this episode. We're going to talk about ways to actually incorporate more of what makes you feel your best so that you can do your best.
Starting point is 00:01:38 So let's just dive right into it. The first step, so let's dive right into it. It all begins with reflecting on the past year. all right and i was talking about this in mindcraft on a coaching call with my community and i said all right guys it's time to reflect on 2025 and people are like do we really have to yes you really have to if you want to win and you want to be a winner then you need to reflect on your past all right if you guys listen to my episode about the j sheddy podcast and my reflection from my experience on that podcast and what i need to do to be my best self moving forward i would not have leveled up
Starting point is 00:02:17 the amount that I did if I didn't reflect on that experience. Did I really want to? Did I really want to think about how I was terrified and uncomfortable and outside of my comfort zone? Not really, but it helped a ton to do that. Okay. So if 2025 was not the best year ever for you, it doesn't matter. You have to reflect on 2025. Get out a journal. Get out, get out your no tap and write these things down because you're going to want to do these exercises. Question number one is what were my biggest wins of 2025 and what got me there? This can be wins in business, wins at work, wins in your personal life, in your mental health, and your physical health, and your spiritual health. There are no rules. But what were your biggest wins of 2025? I actually remembered a win
Starting point is 00:03:05 that I did in 2025 that I didn't even honestly recognize until even when I was doing this exercise, I didn't even think about this being a win because I wrote down things like bought my dream car, bought my dream home, got engaged, when I'm Jayshaddy podcast, which was a huge win. But one thing that I kind of forgot to write down was the fact that I actually refilmed the entire Minecraft course this year and added an additional course to the program. And that's a huge win that I didn't even think about, which took a long time and required a lot of effort. So things like that, like just little things that maybe even went unnoticed. But if you thought that 2025 was not your best year it's fine there are there are moments there are things that you did well that you
Starting point is 00:03:51 accomplished that felt good that you need to write down it is extremely important to take count of what got you there so i'm looking down at my own reflections that i did myself this 2025 was honestly if i'm being completely honest with myself it was the year all of my dreams came true i made all my dreams came true i hit a million followers on instagram um launched my podcast jicks got a book deal so many different things happened honestly but when i sit down and I think to myself, what were the things that got me there? Three things really come to mind. Three things come to mind. The first is being unapologetic, absolutely unapologetic about what I think and who I am. This is so, so, so important. I talk about this a lot. Your purpose in life is you.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Your purpose in life is to be the fullest expression of who and what you are because that is the reason why you came to this planet, to be you, right? To be the unique expression of life that you are. And so the more you can step into that, the more you step into your purpose and the more successful you become. I have found that to be true in my own life and in Minecraft and with all of the students. Like there are so many people that have gained tons of followers, gained tons of money and brand deals in the program because of the fact that they were able to step into their authenticity. I remember I was talking to one person and she had said that she got one brand deal. She made more money with one deal than she had an entire month prior on social media and she was
Starting point is 00:05:21 growing like crazy. And I asked her, I was like, well, what is the thing? Like, what is the thing that you think got you there? And she was like, honestly, I stopped trying to be what I thought I needed to be and just kind of started being like my normal self, like just kind of, you know, being more chatty and having all the hand, expect gestures and all that. I just kind of started, you know, being more myself and not really filtering myself. I have noticed that my videos that pop off the most are the ones that are the spiciest usually. And someone DM me recently, I replied to her. I loved her DM. But she was saying, she was like, I would love some M on the Brain merch. And she said, you know, for example, a shirt or something that says, no risk, no rari. Now, I can't claim that quote. It was actually my brother that said that to me,
Starting point is 00:06:04 but I did say that in a video. And that video did really well and has like millions of views. But But I said, you know, the point of the video is about how you need to believe it before you can see it. And then just like when you believe in yourself, you're more likely to take kind of bold steps, bold risks. And risks are required for success. Taking risk, taking a risk is a requirement. Because no risk, no rari. That's one of the things. That helped me grow a ton.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Another thing is practicing detachment and letting go. So many different times throughout the year I was maybe like gripping or holding on or trying to control a certain outcome. And then the moment I was just like, whatever, I'm just going to let go and let God. This is what happened with the house. We were supposed to close on our house and we went and we did all the papers, sign all the paperwork. We were just waiting on the paperwork to go through before we could pick up the keys to this house that I'm sitting in. We were just driving around the town, you know, for like 45 minutes from home. So we're just driving around waiting.
Starting point is 00:07:10 And it got to the point where it was almost 5 o'clock and we were kind of like, or no, it hit 5 o'clock and we're like, well, it's probably not going to happen today. If it hasn't gone through yet, we'll just pick up the keys tomorrow. And we turned around and we started driving home. Literally two minutes after we turned around and fully let go and just accepted whatever is the case, we get a call. Congratulations, it went through. Come get your keys. As soon as we decided to fully let go. Now, that's one example.
Starting point is 00:07:36 there are so many examples of times in my life when, I mean, I was trying to post a video on Instagram the other day. And I'm over here trying to upload it in every single time. It's uploading glitchy. And I'm like, why is it uploading glitchy? This is so annoying. And I'm on the phone with my assistant. And I'm like, ah, it won't work. Can you try it? And she's trying. It's not working. It's not working. And I'm like, at one point I go, okay, I'm going to try one more time. And if it doesn't work, then it's just not meant to be. I'll just post it tomorrow. And then guess what happens? It uploads perfectly. Why? Because I let go. But let's talk about the third thing. The times when my platform grew the most, we were booming the most in business and making the most money. And not only that, but also me feeling my best is when I was consistent, when I was being disciplined about my routine and showing up consistently. And now you're probably not going to want to hear this, but discipline and consistency are forms of nervous system regulation. I kind of never really connected those dots until recently. But you guys all know, hopefully by now, that the brain thrives when things feel predictable.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Predictability is safe to the brain, right? When things feel predictable, that feels safe. Even if the predictable isn't exactly what we want, that feels safer than venturing out into the unknown where things are unpredictable or uncertain. And the brain wants to keep you safe and comfortable. so it tries to keep you in the predictable. Discipline and consistency adds that layer of predictability to life. Now, life is not ever going to be fully predictable. Life is crazy, chaotic.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Things happen every single day. And that's actually amazing. It's beautiful. Okay, if it were the same thing every single day, that'd be so boring. But if we don't have, like, if we don't have that layer of predictability within us, then we're just leaves in the wind. And we're blowing all over the place. especially if you feel like you're easily overwhelmed or easily stressed.
Starting point is 00:09:38 And as a person that's been diagnosed with ADHD, as somebody that I do tend to get easily overwhelmed at times, for me, this is a major key to success. And that brings me into number two. The second prompt is what were my biggest losses of 2025 and what got me there? And this goes hand in hand with the piece that I was just saying was consistency. So now I don't really feel like I lost. When I think back on this year, I really don't feel like I lost. But I was extremely emotional at some points. Okay, I was buried down.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I went on my roller coasters, my emotional roller coasters at times. Okay? Now, it is important to recognize that having bad days and sadness, that those are, those are a part of a really good life too. We're not over here trying to completely abolish bad days and feeling sad. But this was when I think back on, okay, what were some times when I was not my best self this past year. It was me when I was feeling very emotional and I allowed kind of my emotions or whatever to take the wheel. And okay, I'm like, all right, that's my loss.
Starting point is 00:10:42 What got me there? Now I'm looking down and I'm reading, all right, let me tell you guys what got me there. Feeling dysregulated. Feeling dysregulated. And I told you guys about how if you listened to the recent episode on when I went on Jay Shetty and kind of how I was feeling with that and coming out of that one of my biggest learning lessons was, you know, really prioritizing nervous system regulation and making that a top priority. It only makes sense that I'm sitting here and I'm writing down, yeah, one of the things that led to what I consider my losses of 2025 was feeling disregulated. And I wrote inconsistency at times, not planning enough, not meditating enough, and not talking to myself enough. I used to talk to myself all the time. I would go for walks with my
Starting point is 00:11:26 headphones in and just talk to myself, have conversations with myself. Now, I don't know. I'm going to be honest, I kind of stopped doing that as often as I used to. And I'm recognizing and reflecting on the fact that I need to do that more. But anyway, so those were kind of the things that got me there, right? And so when I'm looking over all of this, all of these answers from question one and two, I'm realizing that, you know, okay, like what I'm really, what I really could use is a little more discipline, a little more structure moving into 2026, right? And so question number three for your 2025 reflections is, what were your energy suppliers over the past year? What people, activities, or habits, uplifted your energy and made you feel comforted, supported, hyped, fearless, etc.
Starting point is 00:12:13 What were your energy suppliers of 2025? Now, my list included things like stargazing, batch creating content when I'm feeling lit up, nature time, like, connecting with nature. I like to not just like look at nature, but feel lost in it. Like, I like to feel like I'm in it. It's an incredible feeling. I don't know how to explain it. But if you know, you know. All right. Seeing my best friend. Meditating. These are all things that supply me. Energy. All right. So I wrote down all of the things that were my energy suppliers. Okay. So those are the three questions for 2025 reflections. Super simple. Doesn't take too long. Answer those. And then we move into.
Starting point is 00:12:53 the fun part, which is the 2026 forecasting. Question number one, and there are three questions again, and then I'm going to tell you guys how to use all of this information and apply it to make 2026 your best year ever, okay, because it's going to be. This is the year of the fire horse, guys, which means there is a lot of energy behind us if you use it. All right? You got to use it.
Starting point is 00:13:17 So don't put this energy to waste. Now is the time. It is really now or never. So question number one is why. What does it feel like to be your best self? Personally, this is where I like to introduce visualization. When I was doing this myself, I close my eyes and I visualized. Now, the way that I like to do this is I like to visualize the version of me who has it all.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Could be at some point in the future, five years from now, 10 years from now, or even in the present, right? I like to visualize the version of me who has it all, who has everything that I currently desire, all. So the version of me who has everything that I currently desire, what is she like? What are her characteristics? What does she act like? What's her energy like? So for me, she is unfiltered. She's disciplined and regulated and she doesn't take things too seriously.
Starting point is 00:14:09 That's one thing that I always see whenever I visualize my highest self, my best self, the version of me who has it all, I always take note of the fact that she's always left. Like she's always laughing things off. She's, nothing is that deep to her. She just, she understands that life is a game and that she's an alien here, playing human for this life. And now obviously yours are going to be different,
Starting point is 00:14:37 but visualize it. And, and take note of like, like when you, you could even pause this episode right now if you're listening at home. Obviously not if you're driving. But pause and just visualize your best self, the version of you has everything that you've ever wanted.
Starting point is 00:14:49 And then feel how they feel. Take note. How do they feel? How does this version of you feel? What is their energy like? What's their mindset like? What are their habits like? Question number two is what are your top priorities of 2026?
Starting point is 00:15:02 No right or wrong answer. I've had years where my number one goal was to be more grateful. Last year, my word of the year was authenticity, along with a few goals, like launch my podcast, which I did. But try not to write more than five. I think once you get over five, it's just a little, when you prioritize everything, you prioritize nothing, right? when you try to say everything's important, nothing is important. So try to write between one and five top goals or priorities for 2026.
Starting point is 00:15:33 They can be about business, about your personal life, about your mental health, your physical health, whatever it is that you want to prioritize, write it down. And it doesn't even have to be for the whole year. It can be for the next six months. I personally like to do six months just because it feels more immediate. it and when you say a year it's like but i will say after doing this and recognizing that i needed more structure and more discipline in my life that way i can feel more in control or not even necessarily in control but just more prepared we sat down and planned out our next six months and
Starting point is 00:16:07 the one thing that i will say is that six months is going to fly by six months absolutely flies by okay so do not let the next six months fly by without actually doing something about it and doing something about your goals because they will fly by. And then question number three is what are the habits, activities, and behaviors that will allow me to bring these goals to life? What are the activities, habits, behaviors that will allow you to bring these goals to life? Or these feelings or characteristics to life. So when you are answering this question, number three for 2026, this is where you're
Starting point is 00:16:49 you use your answers from all of the other reflections. When you're writing down, like, okay, what are the habits that are going to allow me to bring these goals to life? You're going to look back at question number one from 2025 that what got you to your wins. Okay, those habits should be the things that you write down, right? The things that got you to your wins previously, you should write down because those are the things that help you win. When you wrote down the things that got you to your losses, maybe doing the opposite of that. So, for example, me being inconsistent or feeling dysregulated because I wasn't planning enough. Now, that got me to my losses. Now, what am I going to write down for this one? Well, I'm going to plan more and prioritize consistency
Starting point is 00:17:27 and structure in my life. And then remember, remember when I asked, what energized you in the past year? Question number three from 2025 reflections. What energized you in the past year? You're going to write that down here too. And then remember question one from 2026? What are the feelings and characteristics of your highest self. If you wrote down, for example, I wrote down disciplined. My highest self is disciplined. She's on top of what she needs to be on top of. She is on top of things. She's also unfiltered, unapologetic, right? So I'm going to write down what behaviors are going to help me feel like that. So for this very last question, really the whole point is to just write down all of the things that you have recognized from this exercise help you do and feel your best.
Starting point is 00:18:14 I will read to you my list that I made because this is where it gets juicy. These are all of the things that help me feel like my best self. Meditate. Visualize. Talk to myself. Read. Brain dump slash journal. Create, whether it be creating content, podcast, writing my book, et cetera, some sort of creation. Drinking 88 ounces of water a day. That's a random number, but I picked it. I like it. Eating three meals a day. That helps me feel regulated. Taking my supplements daily. Red light therapy slash sauna. Now, the sauna we have is an infrared sauna, so it kind of kills two birds with one stone, but I'm not one to always sauna, especially not in my ludial phase.
Starting point is 00:18:54 So I also have red light parent panels that I can use too, but doing one or the other, right? Pilates slash hot yoga or lifting, going to the gym and lifting weights, going outside in nature and connecting with nature, feeling in it, doing alien activities. Now, when I was talking about this on my Minecraft call, today it was actually people were a little bit confused when I said my alien activities. Now, I identify as an alien. I've actually already mentioned that in this episode. I see myself as an alien, right? Like, I'm a spiritual being, having a human experience.
Starting point is 00:19:30 And therefore, for me, doing alien activities is really anything that makes me feel more connected to myself and my true nature. So, for example, stargazing or taking a bath at nighttime with a bath bomb that always makes me feel more alien, going for a hike. So I like to do a little, I call it like altar time at night where I will kind of set up some candles or some incense and put my little crystals out and play like high vibrational music or whatever I'm feeling, honestly. And then I will journal or meditate or do like an oracle card like with an intention or I'll journal or meditate or read or read or read or. really do whatever I feel called to do. These are just things that help me feel more connected to myself. I recharge alone and also whenever I am alone and just allowing myself to be bored and go with the flow and just think and allow my mind to wander.
Starting point is 00:20:24 That is when I remember the divinity that I am. I have play written down. Play is one of the things, the habits that makes me feel like my best self. Sometimes I like to listen to music and write around on my ripstick. around my house. I like to dance in the mirror. I like to sing. I like to jump on my mini trampoline outside, random things. But just incorporating play is really important to me. Quality time with my partner and my relationship. Bestie time. And this doesn't have to be in person. It can be on the phone, like getting having a phone call with one of my best friends. Talking to my angels,
Starting point is 00:21:01 that's something that I have written down. And then my most recent addition to this list is actually something I added today, which was asking myself the question, how can I level up today? And allowing my intuition to answer. How can I level up today? Now, for me, one of my main values in life is mastering my mind and my reality. That's one of my core values. I have three core values really in life. One of them is mastering my mind and mastering my reality. Number two is to have love and joy, have love and be love and to have joy. And then number three is to make an impact on the world. Like those are the three things that I care the most about. And so obviously, understanding my values and what's the most important to me, I can curate this list as well. And so asking
Starting point is 00:21:49 myself, how can I level up today? It just allows me to feel like I'm making progress every single day no matter how small. This morning when I asked myself, my intuition answered, you know, go watch a YouTube video on some neuroscience topic. And I did that. And did I learn anything new, not really. But it did kind of spark a little bit of inspiration within me to think about something else. And then I was inspired to make a video. So I, you know, sometimes, and this is really true for life sometimes we feel called to do something that maybe doesn't necessarily make sense or really benefit us particularly but it's it's sort of you know the side road that we end up going down or for me you know watching this video I really didn't necessarily learn anything new about the brain
Starting point is 00:22:40 but it something that the person in the video said kind of sparked a little bit of inspiration within me about something else that I had been thinking about so I just was kind of I got excited to talk about a topic that I hadn't really talked about yet. Anyway, so that's a question that I am asking myself. Another thing that I like to ask myself that isn't on this list, but it's kind of already something that I do often, so I didn't feel the need to write it, was it is kind of asking myself in meditation, like, what is there for me today and what is there for me to know? I like to do this in meditation often. I'll sit down, I'll meditate, and then toward the end of my meditation, I'll just ask myself, like, what is here for me today? What is there for me to know? And the other day,
Starting point is 00:23:21 I did that and what came up was just the world is your oyster. Like the world is your oyster. And there is something about meditation downloads that just hit so hard. Like I can sit here and think to myself, oh yeah, the world is my oyster. But I don't get the same feeling that I get when it's my, when it's a download through my intuition or from spirit. Like it just hits different. And so whenever I'm in meditation, I really like to ask, like, what is there for me today? Like, what's there for me to know?
Starting point is 00:23:46 Like, what do I need to remember? And something always comes through. And it's always powerful. And it's always exactly what I need. If you're watching the video version of this, you've probably seen me hold up this notebook when I was reading it along the lines of all of the different behaviors that helped me feel like my highest self. And so now it is time to shift to talk about the new habit tracking system that I honestly, I was inspired to make it by this YouTube short that I saw and then I kind of did my own spin on it and did my own version. It's already been really helpful for me and it almost kind of makes me just feel excited. And one thing that I want to note before diving into this is that consistency is about what you do on average.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Consistency does not mean that you have to do the same thing every single day. In fact, that is something that I'm highly averse to. I think that's why I never really wanted to work like a 9 to 5 job. It's actually why I liked the scientist life when I was working in the lab full time because every single day in the research lab feels different and it feels exciting and you don't necessarily know what's going to happen. Like, I like that. So for me, having flexibility and being able to switch it up, that's something that's really important for me. And so consistency does not mean that you wake up and you do the same exact thing every single day. Consistency is about what you do on average.
Starting point is 00:25:03 If you developed a really solid morning routine and you did it four out of seven days a week, you would be winning. I think a lot of times we fall into this trap of the fact like, oh, if we're not meditating every single morning, oh, like beating myself up, I failed. No, if you woke up and you meditated four out of seven days a week, you'd be winning it life. That is the truth. And you think about it like going to the gym. You don't go to the gym every single day. You don't, I mean, maybe you do. I don't.
Starting point is 00:25:29 But, you know, rest days are good. Like, we need rest days in order for our muscles to heal and recover. And so it's okay to take rest days from certain habits. Like, it's okay. It just, it becomes an issue when it's not. what you're doing on average. And that's why I say consistency is about what you're doing on average. And so I love this habit tracker that I'm about to describe to you guys. I love it because it allows you to have a super clear visual of what you're doing on average. And you see it right in front of your eyes.
Starting point is 00:26:04 If you've missed two, three days in a row, then it's like, okay, I should go and do this habit that I haven't done in a while. Right. And so the point of this habit tracker is not to do the same thing every single day or feel bad about something when you miss it. It's really about just getting a super clear visual and being able to keep track of everything that makes you feel your best. And I told you guys all the habits that I wrote down when I was reading out that list, these are the exact habits that I wrote down in my habit tracker. Obviously, I am not going to be doing Pilates, hot yoga, and lifting weights all in the same day. Obviously, that's not something that I'm doing. But those are three things that make me feel good. And so if I, for example, I have from the past two days, I have done Pilates, two days in a row, and I haven't lifted in four days, looking at my habit tracker right now.
Starting point is 00:26:50 And so I'm like, maybe to me, that's queuing me to go and lift weights, right? Or, for example, I had gone a few days without checking off the spending time in nature box. And it had been a few days. And I was like, okay, maybe I should just drive out to the mountains real quick and just sit in the mountains and contemplate. and I went and did that and I felt amazing afterward. And so the point of this is just so that the things that make you feel the best don't slip through the cracks. Because I know like I was saying in the very beginning of this episode, for me, it's very easy to allow play or talking to one of my best friends or talking to my angels or going out into nature. It's really easy for me to allow those things to slip through the cracks because they aren't the things that necessarily slap me in.
Starting point is 00:27:38 the face when I don't do them. They're more of the silent killers, right? Like besty time, for example, if I haven't talked to one of my best friends in a few days, that's not going to slot me in the face. Like, if I haven't created in a week, that's going to smack me in the face. If I haven't done any sort of constant creation or anything, that's going to smack me in the face. But if I haven't talked to one of my best friends in a week, that might not necessarily smack me in the face the same way. But it's just as important to have, like, healthy relationships and good connections and to play and for me to go outside into nature. Like all those things are just as important as content creation and work things.
Starting point is 00:28:11 And so this Habitracker allows me to stay on top of and really like see, okay, like this is what I've been doing and this is what I need to do more of. So now, guys, if you're watching the video, which I feel like would be beneficial at this point. So the first thing that you're going to do is you are going to get yourself a grid lined notebook. Now, obviously, you can do this virtually. I personally like to do it by hand. Writing by hand is better for memory. It's better for learning. It's better really like to etch it into your brain to write by hand than to type. Typing just doesn't do it the same way that writing by hand does. But I also just like the feeling that I get from checking off the box and writing and doing it by hand. You could obviously do this in like an Excel spreadsheet. People in Minecraft this morning were talking about doing it in Notion. I like a notebook. It just feels right. So what you're going to do? is you are going to, and by the way, you're going to do this by month. So it is a monthly habit tracker.
Starting point is 00:29:11 And that way you can really just visualize your habits and what you did well, maybe what you let slip through the cracks at the end of every month. And then going into the next month, you can kind of revisit and say to yourself, all right, like next month I need to prioritize play because I let that slip through the cracks too much this past month, right? Just as an example. Okay. So what you're going to do is you're going to, you're going to look at the screen here. All right. So on one side, I have, I don't know, yep, oh, perfect. So on one side, I have January 2026th. And then I have down this side of the paper. I have one through 31 written down, right, for every single day of the month. Every single day of the month, one through 31, I have written. Okay? And it's just down the side here. And every single row on the page is a new day, right? And so now this is on the left-hand side. And on the left-hand side of my notebook, I'm writing down the number, right, of the month, the day of the month.
Starting point is 00:30:18 And then I'll write down on that line, an intention, a quote, or an affirmation of the day every single morning. Obviously, you can do whatever floats your boat. You can write down a memorable moment. at the end of the day, you can write that down. Or if you decide that you want to ask yourself, how can I level up today? You can write down the answer to that question. Or if you decide to ask yourself, like, what is there for me today? What is there for me to know?
Starting point is 00:30:44 If you decide to ask that in meditation, then you can write down the answer. Really, whatever it is that you want to do, I'm still new to this. So I'm kind of still playing around with it. I did the memorable moments, but I found that just one line is not really enough space. So this morning I wrote a quote and it's done is better than perfect. and that's actually from my brother when I talked to him this morning because he's doing a quote of the day every day and I liked it. He said done is better than perfect and he tends to be perfectionist. I tend to be perfectionist as well. And that's something that I definitely have had to work on,
Starting point is 00:31:17 especially with content creation and creating in general. Done is better than perfect. And so that's my quote that I wrote of the day. And then on the other side of the page, I have all of my habits written down. I'm going to try to hold this up. I really don't know if we're going to be able to see this here. But yeah. Okay. And it's horizontal, right? So I wrote down all of every single one of my habits. And if you're looking at the video version, you will be able to see it right now. And all of the habits are written like this. Okay. And then, you know, like I said, every single row is a new day. And so I just check the box when I do the habit that day. And now as you can see, we are just a few days into this year. So
Starting point is 00:32:01 But you can see, this is my habit tracker. This is what I've been doing every single day. And it's been great. It's been really awesome. And it's been a really great way to visualize and be aware of what I'm doing every single day and what's making me feel good. And so far, so great. It's going really well. Yesterday morning, I was sitting in the sauna just like, damn, I'm over here on top of everything.
Starting point is 00:32:26 I'm on top of things. I'm on top of my game because this habit tracker is keeping me in check. Obviously, you can make your own version in whatever way you want to. But I think the most important thing out of all of this really is just the whole process of getting really clear on what the habits are of your highest self. This morning on a Minecraft call, I had everybody visualize their highest self and what are the habits like? What are their habits like?
Starting point is 00:32:58 What's their energy like, et cetera, et cetera. and actually after the visualization, someone in the Zoom chat was like, oh my God, it's crystal clear now. What are the habits I need to do this year? The visualization part is so key. It'll help you so much. And then once you get crystal clear on what those habits are, write them all down and then keep track of them every single day. Like, write every single one down. And then when you do it every single day, check the box.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And again, you're not, you don't need to do every single thing every single day. you're not even supposed to. Like that's not the point of this. The point is just to kind of be able to be aware of what you're doing on average. If I'm sitting here and I look at it and I haven't, you know, I haven't played or gone out into nature in a week, then I know that I need to go out into nature, right? So it's about whatever you do on average. And again, I'm going to show on on the screen one more times. You guys can really kind of like see what I'm talking about. I'm showing it on the screen here and it's there. Okay. This is the way that you do it. You just write. them down and then every single day you're just going to check them off. I hope that this has been
Starting point is 00:34:06 helpful and like I said, if you actually do this and you actually start to keep track of your daily habits and what you're doing and keeping track of all the things that make you feel like your best self, you will have no option but to level up and feel your best and be more productive and feel more regulated because again discipline and being on top of your game is a form of nervous system regulation think about it this way would you feel safe in an environment or around people that are constantly saying they're going to do things and then they don't do them would you feel really safe around a group of people like that probably not your head's going to be on a swivel because you can't really trust them when you are not disciplined and you are not you don't follow through on the things that you say
Starting point is 00:35:01 that you're going to do your brain has to be on a swivel with you that's not regulation okay that's dysregulation when your brain has to be on a swivel with you because it doesn't know whether you're going to actually follow through or you're going to actually be consistent there's no predictability there for the brain to fall back and feel safe in so get on top of your habits for 2026 okay this is the year that we we really get we really start to make a lot of progress and feel proud of ourselves and get the work done and feel good. Because doing the things that you say you're going to do, it feels really good. It feels really good. So with all that being said, I wish you the best of luck on your journey with creating your habit tracker. And I cannot wait to hear about how it goes for all the people that actually do it.
Starting point is 00:35:49 I'm sending you so much love. If you are feeling called to come and join me on a live class where I teach the exact process that I personally took to rewire my brain and transform my mental health and my physical health and make all of my dreams come true because like I said, 2025 was the year all my dreams came true. If you're feeling called to come to a class and honestly just be with the energy, the collective energy is always super high on my master classes. But if you're feeling called to do that, definitely come through to one of my master classes. they are completely free. And so highly recommend coming to one of those. And also, as you guys have probably heard throughout this episode, I was talking about my community, Minecraft and the calls
Starting point is 00:36:33 that I do with everybody there. If you are ever interested in joining Minecraft or just learning more about what my coaching program and community and courses are all about and visualizations and there's all sorts of things in there. If you are ever interested in learning more about what Minecraft is all about, I talk about that at the end of my free masterclasses. And the only time that we open the doors currently is at the end of those classes. That could change in the future. But for right now, that's the way that it works. So come to one of my free classes.
Starting point is 00:37:03 It's super fun. And you'll learn a lot. I get DMs from people all the time saying that they were able to finally manifest things, et cetera. But anyway, guys, I'm wishing you the best of luck. This year is going to be the year that we actually are disciplined and structured and we get it done. Okay? But until next time, guys, I'm sending you so much love, and I'll see you in the next episode.
