Week 24 sleepers and two-star pitchers. Up next on Fantasy Baseball Today Express. Welcome to FBT Express on Saturday, August 29th. I am Frank Stan. We'll join by Scott White, and let's start things off with the schedule. 16 teams with six games and 14 teams with seven games. Are you ready? Here we go.

Orioles, Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox, Guardians, Tigers, Astros, Marlins, Brewers, A's. Mariners, Giants, Rays, Rangers. All of those teams have seven games this upcoming week. And what about the Rockies? Six games? All of them are in Corse Field. So you love to see that. Yeah.

Three against the Orioles and three against the Cardinals. Start or sit these fringe to start pitchers. And we have Trevor Rogers, who's coming off a bad start at the Rockies home against the Red Sox. Yeah, it's unfortunately. fortunate that he's coming off this bad start because he seemed matchup proof prior to that.

Trevor Rogers in his previous 14 starts, I believe it was. I don't know. I don't have the numbers. Oh, here it is. 25070 R.A. 105.5 whip 8.1K per 9. So he seen matchup proof. Then he has a bad start. Then he has these two rough matchups coming up.

I understand getting squirrely about it in a category's league, but I still think he's advisable in most cases. All right. What about Matthew Boyd, who actually is coming off one of his better starts?

He gets the Brewers, and he's at the Marlins. Yeah, he had been less reliable overall, though, prior to that one bad matchup, one good. He's below Trevor Rogers

in the rankings, but I think still advisable in most cases. Freddie Peralta is coming off his best start yet with the raise, and this upcoming week, he has a revenge game against the Mets

and another at the Rangers. Ranks lower than Rogers and Boyd, but still advisable in most cases because both of those matchups are favorable. Mackenzie Gore went back to his Charzard Ways, and he scorched your ratios last time out, but now he gets two starts at home

against the athletics and the raise. His numbers much better at home this season. And the athletics lineup is pretty weak right now. The rays are not so good against left-handers, I am always reluctant to trust in Gore, but I think you have to this week with the two-star, the two favorable matchups. Brandon Fott looks like he might be coming back down to Earth.

He has two starts, one against the Phillies, and one at the Astros. Yeah, I'd leave Fought for points leagues. What about Sean Burke coming off a start where he walked eight? I think it was eight? That's a lot of walks. He was at the Astros and home against the Twins. and though the walks haven't been high

the production has fallen off in general here for Burke I might still start him in a points league but he's pretty far down the two-star pitcher rankings for this week all right and the last name I have here is Kyle Bradish who has those same matchups as Trevor Rogers at the Rockies home against the Red Sox CRA is over four his whips over 1.4 for the year

I think it's only for points leagues and even then far from a must. All right, Scott, who are some two-star pitchers that you are looking to add and stream for week 24? A lot of two-star pitchers this week are worth streaming. One of them is J.T. Ginn. He's at the Rangers, at the Mariners, two great matchups away from Sacramento. His strikeouts have fallen off recently, but he's, he's been respectable more often than not even during that time

so I trust him with those good matchups Peter Lambert hasn't been quite as sharp lately in the matchups are kind of iffy white socks and diamondbacks but overall I think he's been a good enough pitcher that when he has two starts

I don't really think twice about using Peter Lambert Aaron Nola has been trending up a lot more strikeouts if he matchups, diamondbacks and braves but I think to get that extra start in there. I'm willing to do it. Clay Holmes

just looked good since coming off the IL newly with the Cubs. Not a lot of strikeouts, but that doesn't need to be a big part of his game because he's such a good ground ball pitcher. He gets the Brewers and the Marlins one bad matchup, but one good one.

Gage Jump has those same favorable matchups as J.T. Ginn at Texas at Seattle. Hit or miss, so he's further down the list. here, but the hits are really good. When he's on, he's really on. And I'd be willing to roll the dice with those

matchups this week. Hayden West Neski has a really good sweeper. Actually, his most reason is started the Yankees. The sweeper wasn't really there for him. He still turned in a good result. So, I think if you're looking for an extra start, white socks

and diamondbacks, you know, don't love the matchups, but West Neski I'd be willing to try him out. Jackson Job. The outings have been short and not always effective, but twins and guardians are the matchups this week. I think those are decent enough to give him a look at a points league. And then Randy Dobnack rounds out the list here

with two really favorable matchups, Marlins and Blue Jays. He's been surprisingly effective of late as an extreme ground ball pitcher. More of a floor play than a ceiling play, of course. But with those matchups and the way he's performed, I think he's a sneaky play. 15% rostered Randy Dobnack. All right, let's take a quick break.

We'll be back right after this. Welcome back, FBT Express, and we are here previewing Week 24. You have one lonely, one-star streamer. Who is it? I'm going to make an edit on the fly here, though. I'm going to add a second one-star streamer. I'm going to take Jackson Job off the list

because I didn't find my reasoning very convincing there. Get him out of here. Get him out of there. All right, so the one I had initially was Jacob Lowe. Lopez at the Rangers, obviously that's a favorable matchup. And it bothers me how slow people have been to buy into Jacob Lopez. Last seven starts 233 are a 103 whip 10.9K per 9. We've seen this version before, down the stretch last year, much of his minor league career.

I get that when things go wrong for him, they go really wrong. But I think overall he's an effective pitcher. And on a good run, great matchup. start Jacob Lopez. The one I'm adding is Noah Cameron, who I just assumed didn't qualify for this list anymore, but he is less than 80% rostered. Actually dropped under that number recently for reasons I don't quite understand. He's been on an amazing run since he started calling his own pitches,

throwing a lot less fastballs. The strikeouts have kind of started to drop off a little bit, but overall a lot more hits the misses, and he gets the Marlins this week, which is, of course, a favorable matchup. All right, let's go over to the hitters and the best matchups this upcoming week. We have the Rockies, Orioles, Dodgers, Astros, and Guardians. The worst hitter matchups, Angels, Reds, and Athletics. Who are your favorite sleeper hitters for Week 24? Got to take advantage of Cole Carrick whenever he's at home.

Willie Castro, same thing. Their home splits are so favorite. and they both have good numbers overall. It's mostly at home, though, where they've done their damage. I gave some thought to T.J. Rumfield. He's been cold, but he's actually somebody who's about as good on the road at home,

rare for a rocky hitter. So I left him off the list. If you want to consider using him with a full week of home games, though, I get it. Walker Jenkins, recent call-up. I think he immediately has the kind of matchups that make you want to use him. Left-handed hitter, only one left-e on.

the schedule and he is facing the Tigers and White Sox rotations at six games. Both of those rotations have fallen off pretty hard. Got pictures like Jackson Job, Drew Anderson,

Jose Orkitty, Anthony Kay, struggling Sean Burke. Yeah, I think Walker-Jing's is going to be fine first week in the majors. Tristan Peters has, as of this recording, homered in five straight games, is that correct? did the White Sox play Thursday. They did not. So yes, he is writing a

streak of five straight games with a home run. Good pole air rate, not very good exit velocities, but you can understand how he could maybe keep hitting home runs. The main thing for Tristan Peters, though, is that the White Sox have zero

lefties on the schedule. So you know he's going to play all seven other games. Obviously, he's hot. Christian Incarnacion, Strand, also very hot, kicked off week 23, which we're currently in with three straight multi-hit games. The Orioles have the second best hitter matchups, including a three-game set at Coors Field,

and they have three lefties on the schedule, which is important in Carnacian Strand's case because he does most of his damage against lefties. Thai France, still available in like half of CBS leagues, even though he's got a mid-800s OPS on the year. Hasn't really slowed down. The Padres matchups are pretty good, overall. They get the Reds in Cincinnati

and they get Will Warren and Carlos Rodon from the Yankees rotation. So I think good time to use Ty France. Tommy Edmund's been hot for the Dodgers. You mentioned they have the third best hitter matchups. Nathaniel Lowe for the Guardians with only one lefty on the schedule and they have the fifth best hitter matchups. His numbers against righties. Very good. Mid-800s OPS.

Travis Bazan has picked things up recently. He could take advantage of that fifth best hitter schedule for the Guardians. Also, and Dalton Varsho, now with the Astros, has started to come around. They're very good at getting bat speed from their hitters, and that's always been a key to his success. Two home runs in his last five games as of this recording, and they have the fourth best hitter matchups, including just one lefty on the schedule.
