Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello friends. My name is Dane Miller. And I'm Nile Spain. And we're your fuck buddies. We are a sex and dating advice podcast where we take your sticky, sexy, sexy, sexy, sticky situations and turn them into sexy, sticky situations. Simply put, we're a podcast. We find questions either online or roaming the wilds of your brain that you sent to us and we read out and give you answers and advice on. We do it here every Monday. We do it one more extra secret time a month on Patreon. You should go join us there so we don't slide into poverty. Yeah. Have you been following? following any of the WNBA stuff. No, I have heard some of it.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I do know, like, my, my whole, like, my big thing that I know of is Sophie Cunningham, who. So that's, that's the tip of the iceberg. Yeah. And I think it's worth. All I know is, I'll give you my, my blast of her, which is that she was very, very popular because of her pointing and various things. And all of a sudden she was every single place in the world on social media. And then very quickly, she was like, hey, here's all my math.
Starting point is 00:01:18 of talking points and it was bad because she was everywhere. She was literally everywhere and it was like oh, cool. She seems fun and I'm like, oh, no, never mind. She's not. But then I believe a bunch of men came out and were like, I'm pledging to the WMBA next year. So recently, like I've been pretty hyped that the WMBA
Starting point is 00:01:38 is starting to get a lot more just women's sports in general, right? Like we have the PHL, Toronto just got a PhDL team. We got a fucking WMBA team. I'm like, I used to work down near where they both played. And like people were coming out in droves. And they were also the best people is what I loved. It's like everyone who went out to these shows was fucking hype and were very nice.
Starting point is 00:02:01 And they tip well. And they were chill. So I, if I didn't already support the fuck out of it, I doubly do now. Yeah. So, you know, I love the fact that we're starting to see women's sports starting to garner the same respect, earn the same money. I know they're way underpaid in comparison to their male counterparts, but things
Starting point is 00:02:20 are starting to be on the upswing and like the games are televised and easy to find and people are coming into the bar and asking for the games we've played. So that's great. That's cool. I love that. I had noticed recently over pretty much this current WMBA season
Starting point is 00:02:36 where almost every game or every week there was like a scandal where someone was doing something and you know, someone throw a shoe with someone and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I was like, I can't tell if this is getting blown out of proportion because this is women's sports and they're trying to be like, look how unprofessional these dumb women are. Or if it's the WMBA being like, generate content, baby, any little thing.
Starting point is 00:03:02 No such thing is bad press. That's why I always throw my shoe at other podcasts. But the thing is, we record a home, they record a home, and they're not my neighbors. So my shoe never gets far enough. There is just, if you ever want to know where Nile lives, it's just the house that has shoes everywhere. People think there's 18 drug dealers here because they're all just hanging from the wires. I got to tell you, Nile's always like, oh, go to the Patreon, support the show. It's so we can buy fucking shoes.
Starting point is 00:03:28 Yeah, because I need controversy to make more money for you, Dane. True. I, on the other hand, I'm just hoarding shoes. I buy shoes, but I don't throw them. So I'm just fucking snap. Well, sometimes I see them outside like a little shoe gollum just taking my shoes. And I'm like, okay, dude, like, you get to give them back. I'm going to hope that you throw the other, the other show.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Never. Make a full set. I mean, that's the problem. So anyway, okay, WMBA, this, this fucking controversy. And I was like, I don't really, like, I'm not sure how I feel about this. And I've talked to people who are a little more, like, I'm not a sports guy. I'm, I'm happy that this is having from a social construct point of view. And people have been sort of like on the fence in regards to that, too.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I don't really get a solid answer to whatever. Soviet Cunningham is another one of those people who are, we need to protect women's sports from trans people, even though there are and have never been a trans person in the WNBA. And then it's really fun to make a giant stink out of a problem that isn't a problem and hasn't been like one, it's not a problem. Two, it hasn't been a thing. And three, it doesn't seem to be imminently a thing. So it's really just, so do you know the whole conspiracy theory on that? But her and her whole like MAGA, like talking point fame all of a sudden. Because you know she was also brought out by Joe Rogan to be a ring girl at the UFC randomly the other day.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Essentially, she's close to like retirement age. And because that WMBA doesn't really pay incredibly well, it's like, she girl's going to need a job soon. And she's basically been like, well, Maga will pay me. Yeah. Apparently. Cool.
Starting point is 00:05:02 But yeah, she also, there was like some stuff with people in the audience as well, where one of the coaches yelled at them because they were wearing like keep women's sports for girls or whatever and now they're being pretty strict about what you can wear to the game specifically about transphobic shit which I'm not against
Starting point is 00:05:21 like don't bring transphobic shit to the games I thought you were saying the other way where they were like if you bring like pro trans stuff they were gonna be like nah no like people are people are like bringing things of being like you know for the girls like that kind of stuff
Starting point is 00:05:36 Anyway, so now there's these two chuckle fucks Who think they are just so clever, right? So smart, yeah Straight, or not white, two straight. I'm just used to saying the white is part of a shitties Yeah, yeah, these are two straight cis men who used to play in the WMBA. One is a guy named, you mean the NBA? NBA, sorry, yes, Enis Cantor or Enis Freedom. I can't remember I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:06 which one is is the actual name, but he goes by both. And then another guy named Royce White. And you want a little, before we get into what they're doing, do you, how, who do you think has scored more points in the WMBA? Royce White, sorry? You mean the NBA. The NBA. Do I keep saying WMBA?
Starting point is 00:06:24 He keeps saying, and you know what? That's progressive as fuck, bro. Yeah, sorry, man. That's fucking sick, man. You go. Who do you think has scored more points between Royce White and you? you. And me? Yeah. I would say, no, the thing is, people don't know this about me. I used to play basketball in high school and I was really good at sitting on the bench. So I'd say we're dead even.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Hey, guess what? You are correct. You and Royce White, professional NBA basketball player have scored the same amount of points in the NBA. He played three games, managed to score zero points in those three games and averaged a whopping three minutes. So the only thing is, I'm actually... You and him having the identical NBA career is three minutes of court time. If you got on the court. I did better because I did it in less time. It's true.
Starting point is 00:07:14 You did it instantly. It's like three minutes and three games to get to where I'm at. You are more impressive because he actually had three minutes of potential scoring opportunity. Yeah, exactly. In which you, you've had zero. Anyway, so this guy, piece of shit, obviously. Clearly. Incredible basketball player.
Starting point is 00:07:33 This other guy, Enos Freedom, is he, once he left, he ended up becoming a, like, a talking head on right wing conservative news. Shocking. I'm not going to lie, Enos Freedom sounds like a fake name I would make up in a TTRPG for an absolute dickwad. It is insane when you search him, when you Google him, it does say like a former MBA basketball player and humans right as activist. It's like, I don't know about that.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Anyway, these guys' whole point is, oh, all you have to do is declare yourself trans and you can be put up for the WMBA draft. And so that's what these two have done, I guess, to prove that men are the problem and are now being like, next season, we're in the NBA or WMBA draft. And if you don't pick us, it's going to be discrimination because we're trans athletes. and we're going to sue the WMBA if we're not drafted to a team. And it's like, well, one, that's not how it works. You can't, I can't just walk into a sports draft and then be like, well, if you don't pick me, so it's discrimination. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Yeah, you're not going to pick me because I'm bad and not a professional. I almost hope they call their bluff, get them to play, and then they just get body. Because the one guy clearly sucks. And like, it would be so good. It would also be really great to like, yes, draft them. Then just leave one on the bench the entire time and just be like, oh, there are a backup player. We're there, there are like sort of fifth choice if we have to. But then proceed to make like trans athlete propaganda.
Starting point is 00:09:11 And like I understand there's a problematic stuff behind this, right? But it would be really funny to have these guys who are so anti-trans being like accidentally become like the face of the movement. We did it. And then they opened the floodgates. Yeah, I just, people like this, like, shut the fuck up. I'll bet they're making good money, even though they're garbage players. I'll bet they're doing well in life.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And it's like, you can't just be happy. You can't just do your own thing. You have to really go out of your way to, like, the best thing about this is they're like, oh, I'm worried that trans people will start shooting bazookas into post offices. So I'm going to get a bazook and shoot it into a post office. It's like, yeah. So I'm going to call myself trans and shoot into it. Yeah, like you're like you said, it's the problem you're working.
Starting point is 00:09:54 worried about is the thing you're doing. Yeah. And you're doing it for no fucking reason. So it's like you're just a cunt. As as the like as you said earlier, it's like they're fighting a problem that doesn't exist. It's like if all of a sudden. Making a problem.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Like it's so stupid. The government is just like we are dumping all of our resources into anti-dragon attacks. Yeah. We just be like, well, we've never been attacked by dragons as far as I can tell. They ain't around. No dragons are attacking. So maybe Joe Rogan makes a dragon.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Yeah. See? Yeah. They're just the saddest fucking assholes. And it's, I thought it was a pretty good allegory as well to like the, the bathroom situation, right? Where everyone is so concerned about who's using what bathroom. And the like, the concern is always like, well, a guy could just wear a dress and go
Starting point is 00:10:44 to the bathroom and assault you. It's like, okay, that's not a trans person. Yeah. That is a man putting a dress on to commit a crime. Yeah. And it's like the doors aren't magical porous. It's not like you walk up to a door and it's like not not lady enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:00 And it's it's very funny coming from the people who are like, oh, gun control doesn't work because they're criminals. They'll get guns anyway. And it's like, oh, I'm sorry, but these criminals, if you don't let them wear a dress, they're like, oh, man, got to follow the law. It's like, it just that's the fucking frustrating thing about trying to dissect any kind of right wing talking point is like they don't care. They're not basing shit on logic, right?
Starting point is 00:11:26 Because the logic for problem A doesn't hold for problem B because they don't think like that. It's not it's not a thing they believe. It's just a thing they're saying to get away with shit. And it's always that. They don't have beliefs. It's why I get sucked into those fucking Jubilee surrounded videos. Have you ever seen any of those? Oh, I've never watched one and I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:11:45 I just have better things to do in my life. But I really did. Sorry, that isn't me disparaging you. me just like it hurts my brain because I get really frustrated and then I want to make my point but like I would hate to be in a room full of fucking assholes because there's no point right but I did think you were talking about Jubilee and Marvel rivals and I got really nostalgia no I watched one where it was like a like one of those like influencer doctors or whatever and he seems like pretty on the level talking to Andy Vaxers and I was just like I was just like oh fuck no it was
Starting point is 00:12:16 not Fauci and it was just like people being like I've actually done and like research. And he's like, I'm a doctor. Like, what do you mean? There's no, there's no. The good thing is like, they're killing it because you can't argue with someone who's that fucking dumb. You really can.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Yeah, there's like, okay. Well, there's one with a guy named Dean Withers that just came out. And it is quite literally where he's just like, you're all incredibly set people. And there's, I guess there's a moment where like at the end of these where he, you get like, he gets to choose someone to bring back into the chair to like talk to. And he literally picks the craziest woman. And he's just like, I picked you because. I don't think you're very smart.
Starting point is 00:12:54 He's like, and I need everyone to hear this. He just lets her go. It's, it's very disappointing and very upsetting. Anyway, I just thought it was worth talking about WMBA thing because we hadn't mentioned it. And this is just a more of a reason
Starting point is 00:13:09 to like pay attention and be like, oh, the problem with like transphobia is that like it's so easy to get swept up in a like a hysteria that doesn't exist. I just watched Remember the Titans last night for the first time, actually. And the whole time I was just like, it's so crazy that this takes place in the 70s and like school integration was still like happening. Like they were still segregated schools in the 70s. And I was like, I'm trying really, really hard not to make like ancient Greek like Titan, Kronos, Gaia kind of like jokes right now. And I just want to be appreciated for that.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I do appreciate you. No one would like them but me In the movie he does say You know the Titans were stronger than the gods So true there's a reference But I don't know It just seems so exhausting to be a this dumb And be this consumed by something that doesn't affect you at all
Starting point is 00:14:07 Or maybe even exist as an issue Yeah it's like JK Rolling Like the saddest fucking sack of shit out there It's like you are infinitely wealthy You came from nothing And you're in these staggered Hight, you were like the most popular author in the world with a beloved fucking series. And you were like, what should I do with my time and wealth?
Starting point is 00:14:28 Be a miserable piece of shit. Like, for no fucking reason. Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Don't support the new Harry Potter show. Don't support any Harry Potter ever. No, don't. Like, don't burn your books if you have them, unless you want to, then go ahead. But like, don't support.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Don't support her. Yeah. It's, uh, yeah. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, one of the dumbest things. It's just sad as well. Like, it's sad. It's so statistical. There's nothing you can say about transphobia, like to be transphobic and like be able to back it up.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Scientifically, biologically, like there's just nothing that you have. Ethically. There's just nothing you can bring to the table that is worth being this angry about people's existence. No. So fuck off. Yeah. But this week we're going to talk about potentially being groomed by a spiritual man. Can you be too tired to text?
Starting point is 00:15:23 Highly advanced men. Are you getting money off women? This is so good ones. And then the magic is gone. Man, it is because we threw out Harry Potter. This is by Thorei, SS, a bunch of numbers and shit. I, female 25, I'm potentially being groomed by a spiritual man, male 33. Hello, friends.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year now. It's been a whirlwind. I met him on a solo trip to Oregon at the bookstore. We hit it off immediately. We were inseparable for the rest of the trip and even decided to do long distance. I noticed strange things about him earlier on. First of all, he is extremely spiritual. He's dedicated his life to it.
Starting point is 00:15:58 He used to love to talk endlessly about it. Since I couldn't contribute much to the conversation, he has thankfully brought it up less. It was the strangest things he would talk about. He'd say astrally projected. He's met other gods. And, OMG, the way he talks about himself, he genuinely thinks he's different than everyone else here and he's special. It triggers the hell out of me because I feel normal, so it sounds like an attack. Second of all, he doesn't know how to stop talking.
Starting point is 00:16:20 He talks over me. He'll speak for a crazy extended period of time. Sometimes it doesn't feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. Now, I've talked to him about this, hasn't improved slightly. Been on him for almost a year. He moved extremely quickly in the relationship. He moved to a different state where I originally was. A month ago, we moved to the West Coast together.
Starting point is 00:16:36 I always wanted to move here, so that wasn't an issue, but how fast everything went was a bit wild. To play devil's advocate, he is very kind and extremely outgoing to strangers, my family, his friends. He's super energetic, smart and witty when we are together, and we go on dates all the time and he buys me gifts. It's difficult because I still feel deep down this might be wrong. I'm always think I'll be perfectly okay if we were to end things.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I'm just noticing I feel pretty uncomfortable most of the time. He can be fun to talk with, but if we spend an extended period of time together, he makes me go silent. A lot of the time I feel very triggered from what he says. Is this relationship worth saving? Is he just misunderstood? I kind of blanked out for a lot of that question because I cannot stop thinking about the phrase. Other gods?
Starting point is 00:17:17 to other gods. Thank you. Uh-huh. Because that would imply that he, he perhaps is a god or that he has a god that he is dedicated to and has since sort of expanded his pantheon into sort of a, you know, he spread his cards out to be like,
Starting point is 00:17:36 look at all these gods I've got kind of Pokemon style. I do appreciate that you like pinged on that because that was one of the things I was going to immediately jump on because I read that and I was like, oh. Yeah It's one thing to be like Yo, I'm astral Our astral projecting
Starting point is 00:17:50 Is this guy fucking Dr. Strange? Maybe Dr. Strange. Wait, which cities does he move from In the Because he ends up in New York, right? And he was in somewhere Somewhere where there's hills
Starting point is 00:18:05 Uh, no, I believe he was always in New York. I believe Dr. Strange. Didn't he go to like Tibet for a while or something? Oh yeah, he goes to, uh, oh my God. I, I can't remember. the name of, I'm embarrassed that I don't remember the name of them. Damn, Dan. You have one fucking thing you're good out on this podcast. I literally, yeah, it's, it's Dr. Strange geography and you've fucked up. It's real bad when you're like, oh, I like this person, but if I spend any amount of
Starting point is 00:18:33 time with them, it sucks. Yeah, I'm uncomfortable and triggered and I go silent. This, so here's the thing. You can't say that you get triggered by some of the things he says and not tell us, Sort of like give us a little, a moose bush, a little sample platter of what he's saying. And also like, what do you mean by triggered? Because I don't think you know what some words mean because how is he grooming you? Yeah. You're a 25 year old woman. You willingly moved in with him.
Starting point is 00:19:02 He's not that much older than you. And like, do you words have meanings? Yeah. Yes. You weren't groomed, I don't think. No, unless I'm missing something. This is the story that's spanning several decades. I'm like, unless he's trying to get into like her interiors.
Starting point is 00:19:15 a cult or something? Like, yeah, judging by this, I chat to God's guy, I could see it. But here's the thing. If he was in a cult,
Starting point is 00:19:24 like you would know that already. Right. Like, if he's, like he would be hitting you with the pitch already, unless she is so fucking detached from anything that he's saying.
Starting point is 00:19:34 And he's probably like, oh my God, I can't crack this woman. Usually I've already got her life savings by now. Now I'm on the fucking West Coast. What about doing? She's like anti-cult.
Starting point is 00:19:44 There's a cult. back on the East Coast that's falling apart because their fucking guru had to disappear to really crack this nut. Yeah. So I don't know, man. Like you've said it yourself where you're just like, well, if we broke up, I'd be fine with it. I think if that's the case,
Starting point is 00:19:59 maybe there's a lot here. It's like, great. He's nice to you. He's outgoing. He's charismatic. He gets his presence, I guess. But like if you are actually getting triggered and uncomfortable, but everything else about this guy, every conversation with you have on or conversation since it feels like a lecture i don't know
Starting point is 00:20:17 at the same time i'm i'm kind of worried that like on your point now like that you just don't understand how words work a little bit yeah yeah like are you say like maybe he's like i prayed and she's like he's talking to gods yeah i mean like saying that he's spiritual is like also doesn't mean anything right like it's there's a lot here on her side of things that i'm confused by Also, the first time she mentions triggers, she said it triggers me because I feel normal. So him talking about these special things feels like an attack. That seems like a you problem. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Also, it's like, she's like, oh, he did this thing. And then I asked him not to. So he stopped. Oh, yeah. Like, he seems responsive to the criticism and the things that you're asking him to do. Again, I don't want to sound like I'm on this guy's side because it's funny. I started very much not on this guy's side. but the more I read to it.
Starting point is 00:21:13 But like, look, let's go through the bullet points here. You notice that he's strange. You get triggered because you think he's mocking you. Strange. Perhaps medically so. You feel triggered and that he's mocking you for being normal. You go quiet, feel like you're being lectured all the time. Everything moved too fast.
Starting point is 00:21:33 But also, like, girl, you had a choice in the matter. You didn't have to move in together on the West fucking coast. But then also, if you ever have to talk about your partner and say, well, to play devil's advocate and then start to try to scrooge good things about them. If you're devil's advocate about your partner is ways they might be good, girl. That's an excellent point. Girl. Your devil's advocate shouldn't be the pros.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Yeah, right? Like, I mean, if you were like, oh, I really like him, but like devil's advocate, he is, just talk to gods. Yeah, that makes sense. You gotta break up with him. You're fucking miserable. But also, I think if someone starts saying they're talking to gods, let alone other gods.
Starting point is 00:22:12 No offense to all my astral cuties out there, I'm going to say you got to break up with them because they've gone off the deep end. And maybe, maybe don't move across the country with them. Yes. Or anybody within that short of a period. Yeah, I mean, uprooting your whole life to move in with someone across the country is crazy.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Granted, I'm going to tell you right now, I don't know where Oregon is. Wait, Oregon is in Portland, right? Portland is in Oregon, I believe. Portland is in Oregon. Yeah. And they said they moved to the West Coast, but Portland is on the West Coast
Starting point is 00:22:41 So they just moved to where they were They met on a solo trip to Oregon So she has traveled to Oregon Right, okay, gotcha, got you got to I also like the solo trip to Oregon As if it's like fucking like they went to You know, the Taj Mahal by themselves It's like eat prey love but hey for Americans That's a big deal. They never travel
Starting point is 00:23:01 This is true This is true And you Canadians, you don't travel much either most of you Yeah This is from mean sheep herder. Guys, can you really be too tired to text? I'm curious about guys' opinion on this. If you genuinely like a girl, can you be so busy or exhausted that you don't text her at all for an entire day? Yes. I'm not saying you have to text her constantly or reply immediately. I totally
Starting point is 00:23:26 understand being busy, especially if you work long hours. But even then, wouldn't you usually want to send a quick message at some point if you really like someone? Like, can you actually be so exhausted that you spend the whole day working? Come home. Yes. Eat, shower, sleep without texting? The girl you're interested in? Yes. Or does it usually mean that you're just not interested? I'd especially like to hear from guys who work long or exhausting shifts. Is this actually normal?
Starting point is 00:23:47 Sure. Yeah. Like, yeah, it is. It's fine. It's normal. Like, would I do this? Maybe. It depends on who the person is, how early things are.
Starting point is 00:23:56 But it's like, fuck, there are days where I don't text my partner because I've gotten up. We've recorded for like six, seven fucking hours. And then I've had to run off and do a thing. Like, it's hard. It's hard out here. Pimp. Well, hey, save that energy for.
Starting point is 00:24:09 my next question, Dane. Yeah. Like, there's, it's reasonable. Especially if you like someone, because chances are, if you're texting someone, it's going to be a conversation. And sometimes you just don't have it in you to have a conversation. Or it's like, oh, I've sent you a message. And now I'm not going to reply to you for two and a half hours.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Yeah. Is a weird thing to do. Or I don't have the energy to send you something worthwhile and I like you. So I want to not just be like, so. Yeah. Hi. I'm at work. don't want to talk to anyone right now and too busy to do so even if I did also like
Starting point is 00:24:42 my fucking job like if they're in a bar or if they're a medical or something they may not have their phone like handy right so it's like if they're working a long fucking hour they at home exhausts after 12 hours and they pass out but they didn't have their phone at work these things all check out yeah look are there people out there who lie about being like I'm just so busy I'm too tight yeah for sure is there people who just aren't putting in the effort? Absolutely. And are there people who, despite a horrendous day, will still take a minute to text you or runs the bathroom while they're at work or whatever? Because some people, that is, it's almost like how people are introverts and extroverts. Some people, if they're super busy,
Starting point is 00:25:21 having a second to reach out to you might actually make their day better, whereas some people it's going to make their day worse. Not that it's you, not that they don't like you, just that's an energy drain. So I think like, it's funny. As I, there's like waves of stuff I find that like when we're doing questions and like it'll happen when I bring my next question, where I see a lot of stuff about one thing specifically. I don't know if this is just because AI is glommed on to when it's just a bunch of bot posts. But the amount of people who are so freaked out by texting and how often texting should happen and whether or not someone has texted and what does it mean if someone did or didn't text?
Starting point is 00:25:59 I need everyone to relax. Yeah. I need everyone to take a real deep breath. And if your happiness and your mental health revolves around someone else texting you or the texting habits of someone you're dating or whatever, you need to chill the fuck up. You need to take a real deep breath and do something else. Play a fucking video game. Listen to some music. Read a book.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Go for a walk. Something. Get off your fucking phone. Talk to some gods. Astro project. Yeah. Fucking zib zubing to the ethereal plane and talk to fucking else. Elsh, Elshamiar.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Elshamiar. Hey, he's, he's chill, man. He's down. He's kicking it. And he loves to communicate. And the thing is, what pisses me off is like shit like this, you're not saying, oh, he abandons me every week. You're saying this happened once or it's happening right now.
Starting point is 00:26:51 I think things like this, it's a pattern, right? If every week he is busy on a Thursday and doesn't message you, well, either then he's completely legit and Thursdays are fucked or he's for some reason cheating on you on Thursdays, which is bizarre, right? It's the pattern that makes the problem. So if every week you can barely talk to him because he's so busy, it doesn't really matter whether he's genuine about the busyness or not if his communication style and his like fucking like calendar doesn't sync up to yours in a way that makes you happy.
Starting point is 00:27:18 And at that point, you need to have the conversation of like, are you in this relationship despite your guys kind of like mismatched? Or are you chill with that? Which doesn't matter whether or not he's fucking lying about whether he's busy. You know what I mean? There's also something to be said about like, would you rather attack? that means nothing every day. Or would you rather him reach out to the, you know, when it matters, when he has time to talk,
Starting point is 00:27:40 when you can have a meaningful conversation, like, whatever. Like, you got to weigh your pros and cons here. You could be like, oh, great. I have a guy who texts me constantly. It's, he says nothing and none of it's important ever. Or I have a guy who, you know, when he's at work, doesn't text me. But when he's free and available, he does. And it's great.
Starting point is 00:27:57 And it's nice. And it's genuine. And I, you know, I respect the effort. Because to me, that's a no-brainer. But if you just need constant validation to be like, well, this guy I'm seeing who's, who told me that he's interested and we're dating, we're hooking up or whatever. But if he doesn't text me within 12 hours or every 12 hours, my whole fucking self-esteem and mental health just fucking crumbles because if he's not texting me every 12 hours,
Starting point is 00:28:23 does he not like me anymore? And it's like, look, I understand that ghosting has fucked a lot of us up. But at the end of the day, you don't have any control over other people. You really don't. And as now said, if you need more constant communication, but I haven't mentioned it, maybe just say, hey, I like a little more check-ins. And hopefully he'll be like, okay, cool. I'll send you a little check-ins every now and that. Or he might say, hey, when I'm at work, I don't have time to.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Like, I barely have time to eat or go to the bathroom. So, sorry. It's not going to happen. It's like, have you never been busy? You know, I had a busy day? Is this alien to you? A busy day, girl? Really?
Starting point is 00:28:59 Yeah. And if you're, if you've never like been in a position where you're dialed into whatever you're doing and haven't forgotten about your phone, I'm concerned for you, right? Like, if, you know, when you and me and our friend go for wings, we're not on our phones. No. I mean, granted, it would get our phones disgustingly. That's it. It's a self-defense mechanism.
Starting point is 00:29:20 We get ourselves so saucy that we have to be in the moment. When I'm spending time with people, I want to be with the people. I'm not constantly checking my phone. So like, if I go out with you guys for, you know, six. hours one night. Yeah. That's like six hours where I'm not really checking my phone. Let's be fair.
Starting point is 00:29:34 This person probably isn't the kind of person that would like if you as a partner were out with friends and also didn't text as a result of that. If you being busy and tired doesn't count, does you having friends count? No. So look, you got to take a breath. And now we're going to take a breath. We're going to text our partners. And we're back.
Starting point is 00:30:13 We did hold our breath for that entire break, which wasn't that impressive on our end, but might be impressive depending on how many ads just played. You're welcome. Are you ready? Yeah. You got to brace yourself. This is by unfortunately real, which, hey, does a long way to describing how I feel about this question.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Those highly advanced, do you get money out of the women? Almost all dating advice, discussions seem in PUA spaces seems to be just about obtaining intimacy or relationship. But what's next? Is that it? All the books, podcast forums, coaches, courses, et cetera, just see it the experience so many other men managed to achieve. I like doing any of that?
Starting point is 00:30:49 Pretty underwhelming, considering the amount of dedication some put into this. Now, listen to these dating coaches. I can't help but remember the existence of actual pimps. Fact is, there's men out there who can make a woman willingly risk her life night after night, sleeping with multiple strangers, then bring the money back to them. Kind of makes the dudes over analyzing how to simply get laid look pathetic. Obviously, that only applies to a case where a woman is doing so willingly and isn't a drug addict. She makes you think there's a way further extent of what you should be able to achieve
Starting point is 00:31:17 than simply having relationships on your terms of beautiful women. Actual pumping is very extreme and is something I personally wouldn't do to, oh, I assume they mean pimping. I also assumed they mean pimping. Wouldn't do, do the moral and legal reasons, even if I could. But having some sugar mamas or girls contribute to my life in different ways, sure. I've had women let me live with them rent free, feed me, let me borrow their cars, etc. But even that always felt like I just got lucky.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I never felt able to replicate the steps, which led to those sort of arrangements with other women. What are your thoughts and experiences? God damn. If anyone has experience, I have thoughts. But if anyone has experience. I've had women buy me a coffee every now and then, birthday presents. Yeah, I'm an highly advanced male out here doing social pimping. What the, hey, remember we were like, oh, seduction.
Starting point is 00:32:05 We're getting there. Every time we say it, there's someone to bring it back where he's like, yeah. Whoa, whoa, whoa, we're putting in all his effort. All we're getting is sex and relationships. I want cars. money and maybe to be a pimp. I love that he's like, again, it's this, the seduction
Starting point is 00:32:21 curse of being like almost getting it, having all the pieces of the puzzle in front of you and still fucking jamming the two that don't go together where he's like being a pimp, it's like, oh, they have the power over women to like risk their lives and go and sleep and then bring the money back.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Unless they're being coerced or it's like, hey, my guy, you know that there are sex workers, a lot of them who don't, who don't do this, who, you know what I mean? Like, who are completely in control of their financial situation and who they choose to sleep with and that don't require a pimp. And pimps, I imagine pretty across the board are predatory in.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yes. I like how in his mind there's two roots and it's you're a bad pimp where, oh, like you got them hooked on drugs and that's not good. But the other one is a good pimp where you did seduction so hard that they really like you. And they're just doing it for you. Hey, also, you're telling me that your idea of like seduction is you are cool with these women going and having sex with other men. From what I've learned of your community.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Yeah, it's pretty much a linchpin of that community is no. That is like your guy's worst nightmare. This is the thing that you guys like wake up in a cold sweat thinking about when you create these more attractive, more powerful men in which you fear and both revere. It's just such a mind fuck this question where he's like, oh, I just like a, I should put in all this work. And I just think of pimps just out there having that best time. And I'm like, why don't we put in all this work? We're not even pimps. The fuck are you talking about, buddy?
Starting point is 00:33:58 And this is like, we would go back to sort of this idea that these guys like cannot figure out how humans work and how like happiness works where they're like, well, we put in all this effort. And then there are other guys out there. just getting girlfriends and having sex without all this. I want something more from myself. It's like, what do you mean, man? Like, maybe the fact that all these people are out here doing the thing that you're doing
Starting point is 00:34:22 and spending money on and watching YouTube videos and playing for courses and lectures and shit, maybe the fact that there are people who are able to do that without any of this bullshit and are happy should be a huge, big, glowing sign that says, you're a fucking idiot. But no,
Starting point is 00:34:39 no, instead he goes, maybe we should be getting money off these women too. Maybe we should go and look into the unmind resources of one of the most problematic and exploitative or expletive relationships that we've come up as a society. But don't worry, he wouldn't do it for moral and ethical reasons. Yeah, there are to be drugs. Yeah, it is very funny that he just consistently is like, oh man, I just think of Pam. So I wouldn't do the drug route.
Starting point is 00:35:07 And he's like, well, I mean, I wouldn't do it at all because of more. ethical. Buddy, you would. I know you would. I can tell that you would from this question immediate. No, here's the thing. I don't think he would because I don't think these people have the fucking backbones. I think the second one of these guys tries to be a pimper. I didn't say could. I didn't say could. I said what. Fair. I mean, the mind may be willing while the flesh and everything else is weak. These guys would be fucking drawn and quartered by the women that work for them immediately. They would tear this person apart. just love that like he's like i've had people let me live with them ran free feed me let me borrow
Starting point is 00:35:45 their cars but like it always just felt lucky instead of me actually like manipulating them to do that i'm like what are you looking for yeah what do you want you had people that cared enough about you to like house you like that's pretty rad i guess like what do you fucking doing it sounds like he doesn't no no no you need so much help yeah you need a honestly what you need is is it's a female friend. You need a friend who is a woman who can hit you as hard as they did all this work. And all I get is companionship and friendship and support. Can you, did you look at the comment section? What's, please tell me seduction drag this guy. Because this seems like a post that seduction could get behind us. We can, one of our rare sort of like, you know, one of
Starting point is 00:36:33 those comic crossover. Dr. Doom and, you know, Reed Richards, shake hands and beat the ass of someone else. Let me find it. I put it away. I had a screenshot because I figured it will get taken down. That's fair. It's not a big deal. I don't need to know, but I'm going to bring it.
Starting point is 00:36:53 I think we do. I think we do. Okay. So this isn't a specific question. This is me once again. I'm bringing the wave of things that I have seen lately. And I figure we could talk about as a whole. Okay, I found the comments.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Sorry. Do you want to hop into them real quick? Yes, yes. please. Okay. First one. Obviously, it's a quote.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Obviously, that only applies to a case where a woman is doing so willingly. It isn't a dark addict. Bless your heart. Everyone's like, you're naive and you're an idiot.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Okay. If you want to be, if you want to have sugar mamas, you need to be well-mattered, not take yourself too seriously. And probably the most important part, be pleasant to be around. And then it's like,
Starting point is 00:37:34 dude, I'm not going to debate you about what you read online about pimps. You are wrong. Um, Okay, then we get into the people that support him, I think. Yeah, there's a lot of support. There's a lot of just walls of text.
Starting point is 00:37:47 People debating the psychology of pimps. Okay, well, we don't need to get into that. So here's the new trend. The phones are out. We're over texting. We're over, you know, all that kind of stuff. How often someone should text and what happens if someone texts and what does it mean? That's it.
Starting point is 00:38:06 We're done with that now for now. now it's the magic is gone and I'm just going to read a bunch of like posts probably just their titles some are really short but you have a like a compilation of the magic is gone
Starting point is 00:38:19 yeah this is kind of like what this is like the front page of one of the subredits I troll around in we were never meant to meet or even see this many potential partners in a lifetime that's why everyone is so cynical
Starting point is 00:38:31 I miss the feeling of innocently being excited about someone adult dating has no magic Modern dating doesn't feel like romance anymore. Feels like a job interview. And then there is an ad for aliens fire team elite too. Oh, yeah. I thought was pretty fun.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Which is the real reason there's no romance anymore. Yeah, the xenomorphs. So anyway, it's this sort of overwhelming sense of dread and disappointment and defeated. And there's, you know, there's no romance anymore. Romance is dead. The magic is gone. You can't be excited about anyone. And I thought it was interesting because if you parent,
Starting point is 00:39:07 it like a scientist doing little science things. If you pair it with the text alien fire team. If you know, you come up with an incredibly needy xenomorph, the last thing we need. If you pair it with the phone thing, you get to say, I feel like I'm like zooming out.
Starting point is 00:39:25 You know, like the minority report screen. I feel like I'm doing that right now. Because you start to see like an image of what dating is like right now, specifically for adults. And it's neuroses. It is just people who are so neurotic about the wrong things. And it's it's sad because these people who are like,
Starting point is 00:39:48 I want to feel excited about someone. Then do that. Yeah, that's the thing. It's on you. Don't focus on how often they're texting you. Just be a little giddy and realize that like instead of looking at your phone and being like he hasn't texted me in 12 hours, I'm freaking out. Be like, it's kind of cute that I'm looking forward to a text from.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Yes. Right? Because that's the thing. It's the same issue, but you can look at it two different ways. One is very negative. One is like, ooh, I like, yeah. Right. Like, what we've done is we've taken the butterflies in our tummies and turned them into like bees in our brains. We've given them alien fire team armaments. And now they're in our brains marching down the hallways. Yeah, like, the thing is, the magic is kind of on you. It's not really on somebody else. Or at least it's partially on them. But it's up to you to choose the person that provokes. the magic. So it's like, if you're seeing someone that they're just like, name, age, job, well, let's move to the West Coast. Like, yeah, that's on you to be like, no. What gods are you talking to? Are you talking to other gods or is it just me? Yeah, can I just check your, like, who are you following? Can we see, like, who are mutual gods? Um, you know, like, just don't be in those situations. And the funny thing is, like, part of me wants to be like, you know what? I am not
Starting point is 00:41:01 single. I have not been single for a while. Am I out of the loop? Is dating really that is or right now. But like, I also have a bunch of friends who are single and like talking to them, they're having the time of their lives out there. So it's like, it's, it's kind of on you. I got to have a brief peak. Like, I wasn't too single too long, uh, in between my, my last relationship with my current one. But I got to see a peak of like what it's like kind of nowish as opposed to like when we were single and the apps first came out and yada, yada, right? Like, and the, the whole thing is shifted. And I don't know if that's age. Well, it's. Well, it's, Let's be fair. The apps, yeah, we know they've gotten demonstrally. Yeah, the apps are, the apps are terrible. And, you know, I was a little older as well. I was, I was in my 30s. So it's a much different scene than when you're dating and you're like 24. But yes, I'm of the same mind of views. Like, I'm watching like, we have a lot of young folks at our bar now. And I'm watching it. And I'm like, your dating experience doesn't seem too drastically different from mine at your age. I'm thinking of people our age who I know who are.
Starting point is 00:42:06 single. I don't think I really talk to many younger people about their dating lives necessarily, although I got a real key quote that one of my coworkers got texted for our like pseudo bad sex writing later. I wish we will discuss. But look, it all comes down to like the magic is in you. Wow. And you need to ignite it. That's beautiful, man. You know what I mean? If you're not leveling up magic, yeah, you're just going to be, you know, a mealy fighter, right? You need to be leveling up your focus or your your mind stat or your faith stat. Something, right? Anything that's going to give you some more.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Have a little bit more faith. Have a little bit more intelligence. These are all Dark Souls jokes, but they work. Yeah. It's partially you and it's partially who you're meeting. But the thing is you get to choose, one, who you're meeting and two, whether to continue to to hang out with them. So if you meet someone and you don't feel the magic and you're blah, blah, blah, blah,
Starting point is 00:42:55 blah, blah, I would look inward and make sure you're not mistaking the butterflies of texting for anxiety that he's not texting you and freaking out. But if you're not feeling it, it's on you to go elsewhere. And if you never feel it, that's either you're going about it the wrong way or maybe a therapy issue. Because if you're meeting people from disparate places in disparate ways and it's never good for you, that's on you. And it could be watch too much fucking rom-coms. Maybe you read too much fanfic or some bullshit. Maybe you have an unrealistic expectation of life or maybe you're jaded or maybe you're meeting the wrong people.
Starting point is 00:43:29 I don't know. I feel like there's also an aspect of like the self-fulfilling prophecy. right? Like if you're going into dating with the mindset of romance is dead, there is no magic, everything sucks, this is a job interview. Yeah, man, of course you're not going to have any fun. And look, I understand getting defeated. I understand being demoralized, I'm defeated. I understand all those feelings. But that's not the mindset of going to have, it's like if your friend invites you out and you're not feeling up to it and you're miserable and you're hungry and you're tired and your friend's like, hey, let's go to a party night and you're like, okay, but you go
Starting point is 00:44:03 there and you don't want to talk to anyone. You don't want to dance. You don't want to drink. Yeah. Of course you're going to not have any fun. Of course it's going to suck. Of course it's going to feel like, oh, parties aren't fun anymore. It's not the party. In this aspect, maybe a little bit the party. But maybe the party used to be better like 10
Starting point is 00:44:19 years ago. But yeah, maybe the party was a little less pricey. Maybe you could go to the party without having to spend money. Yeah, maybe there was like the looming through the fascism at the party. But like, you know. So I just you need to realize that you have a lot more control than you do. If you find that every date you go on feels like a job interview,
Starting point is 00:44:40 what the fuck are you doing to change that? Are you doing anything? I literally said to my dates, the second they asked a question that I thought was a little too job interviewing, I would tell them. I'd be like, that's not a, that's a boring question.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Let's do something else or something nice. Dane only likes to have deep chats. Yeah, I was never to think about it. But I, you know, it's like, I didn't want to talk about work. I don't want to talk about what bar at bartending.
Starting point is 00:45:03 It's like these are all nothing. So I would actively try to see the conversation. You don't even necessarily have to tell them that's a bad question. Whoever, you then ask an interesting question, right? Or it feels very much like you're sitting there being like, it's on them to make this interesting and they haven't. What can I do?
Starting point is 00:45:19 Nothing. It's on them. And it's like it is a two way fucking street. Maybe you're nervous. Maybe you're whatever. But like, that's probably not fun for them either. Maybe they're nervous.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Give them, cut them some slack. Like it's, there's just, you have power in these situations. situations. And again, if someone is unwilling to be fun and you think that you are, why are you dating onto the next person? Are you doing the same bar every time? Then yeah, it's going to start feeling fucking repetitive. Do you have no friends? Do you have no hobbies? Is all you do be on TikTok complaining about how there's no magic? Because guess what? The magic ain't there. That's for sure. Yeah. You got so it's it's just it's very interesting to see this sort of like wave of cynicism,
Starting point is 00:45:57 particularly in the older crowd. And look, I understand. I get where you're coming from, but there is a level of control that we have over these things. And it's a lot of perspective stuff, right? It's a lot of, I'm on apps and dating. Therefore, I should have partner. And I should have partner that is the one that I've dreamt of. And I shouldn't have to work for it. It should just happen.
Starting point is 00:46:17 That's what I was told. That's what I believe. And it's like, well, how's that going for you? You're miserable. You think there's no magic and romance is dead. So maybe it might be time to try something a little different. Okay. We're going to rate this pickup line, I guess, this cold approach.
Starting point is 00:46:31 this this reconnection. This was a man she had slept with a couple months prior. She currently has a partner. It's been a while. And he messages out of the blue. And I want reactions, rating discussion. How's the pus holding up? Exclamation mark, exclamation mark. That's it, huh? That's it. Cool. That's cool, man. That does it all. That gets everything. It's casual. It's confident. It goes, it's sexy. It's, yeah, you can't not be. Like, what do you think a possible answer would be? It's good? I'll tell you. It's not. If someone said, yeah, bad, rough.
Starting point is 00:47:05 I've ravaged it. I've ravaged it since we last met. Tatters is the word I would use for this. Tatters is how the puss is doing. I think if it was someone you liked and what you did have this fun kind of ridiculous thing, you'd be like, it needs immediate attention. It's pretty funny. Now, this person was not very excited by this message.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I think, so what gets me, it's no question mark. It's how's the puss holding up exclamation mark, exclamation mark. Yeah, it's not a question. Yeah, not a question. And the fact that there were two exclamation marks is the worst amount of exclamation marks. I'll take one. I'll take three. I'll take more than three.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I never want to. You know what this gives me. This gives me like 90s extreme like food mascot, right? Like that's this is the. That's right. Or they're great. And that's the next one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:52 He like skate flips in through the window. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Right. Like it gives me like a failed Doritos fucking mascot. God where he's wearing a, he's got like a mohawk, he's got fucking big old shades on, a leather jacket, maybe like a spiked belt or something. Hey, how the Puss holding up?
Starting point is 00:48:11 Okay. What time, I love that, by the way. What time do you think this message was sent that? Look, the sane person in me wants to say like 4 a.m. That's the only acceptable time. 100%. However, I'm going to say this is like a 3.307 p.m. 1245.
Starting point is 00:48:30 And I'm not saying at night. No. Middle of the day. Like noon. Yeah. Like that's powerful. Got it during a brunch shift. And I'm thinking like, are you sober?
Starting point is 00:48:41 Are you not? Are you that drunk at that hour? This is a you haven't stopped from the night. This is your 4 a.m. Yeah. I could see that. God, I hope so, man. I hope so.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Yeah. But this is why people are like the magic's dead. The magic's dead. And you know what? Nobody's. Yeah. The magic is. No, I'm saying the opposite.
Starting point is 00:48:59 I'm saying nobody has the brain. bravery, the courage to send the text. Everyone's like, oh, I don't get text. What do text mean? Why isn't he texting? It's because he's too scared to ask you how the puss is doing. This is what happens when you text after a 12-hour shift and you're tired. This is the best he can come up with.
Starting point is 00:49:17 It's pretty good, man. I feel like in another world I would have sent this to someone. Now, granted, it would have been a joke and it would have been with someone. Yes, that I was in no way not take it as a joke. Yeah. That's the thing. I would 100% say this to my partner. and I think I may indeed start saying this to my partner
Starting point is 00:49:33 because I think it's fucking hilarious in that context. In the context of if I had to come up with one of the worst way, honestly, we may have come up with this as one of the worst ways to message someone. He might have been listening to our show in like the early days. And this was a joke that we made. Yeah. There's a non-zero chance. This is our fault.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Sorry. Oops. But if you want us to educate ourselves, we'll need money. And if we need to get money, there's only one way to do it. That's Patreon. Please join us. You'll get an extra episode every month. Or becoming pimps.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Or becoming pimps, which morally, legally, I wouldn't do, unless it wasn't the drug route. Yeah. Or the, I can't remember the other thing, the coerced route. No coercion, no drugs. It's the only way I'm doing pimping. Just love pimp. Just love pimp. The women love me so much they want to...
