I mean, it's Ed on the organ for World Series Game One.
Unbelievable.
I'm getting into the baseball spirit.
It really does.
This really is phenomenal.
I feel like a little kid.
It's just fantastic.
We should take grounders.
I feel like we're going to bring up out of, hey, bad, hey, sweet.
You know, I sang this at Kaufman Stadium.
Really?
standing on the dugout.
Yeah.
Excellent job.
You sang it?
That is the, Ed is the official organist for the Yankees.
That's right.
That's awesome.
We are really the most musical show on sports.
We really are.
We're just a musical show with a dash of sports.
Yeah.
So live from New York, it's a show that's getting ready for World Series Game One, coverage at 7 on Fox.
It's first things first.
Talk a little football.
Today, Caleb delivers in Chicago to the Bears put the league on notice.
Meanwhile, we had eyes and ears in the building in Philadelphia, Nick's first-hand take on LeBron's historic comeback.
And finally, it's the hottest segment in all sports, which superstar is on upset alert alongside Chris Bissard.
I'm Kevin Wilde's, Nick.
Just a quick take on your trip to Philadelphia.
I cannot believe how much my picking the Eagles to go to the Super Bowl Gambit paid off.
I'm beloved there.
I can't believe it.
I am beloved in Philadelphia.
After being literally, I used to go there.
I'm not somebody that wears like hoodies and sunglasses when I play poker.
Yeah.
But I had been the last couple years in Philly because I was so hated.
Yesterday, I was Mr. Popular.
Even though there is absolutely no chance of them winning the Super Bowl or even getting to the playoffs.
Listen, I picked the Eagles to go to the Super Bowl.
You picked the Cowboys.
None of it looks great, Drew.
None of it looks great.
I like the Cowboys better, but you're right.
All right.
We're headed to Chicago where Caleb Williams put on a surgical performance to take down the Patriots.
308, two touchdowns, eight chunk plays that went for 20 or more yards.
Here's Bears coach and content creator, Ben Johnson.
Here for more on the Bears victory is our resident Chicago expert.
On his day off.
It's not five o'clock.
It's Danny Parkins.
He was asking to come in.
He's like, hey, is it okay if I come?
I'm like, yes, Parkins, you won.
What statement did Caleb make?
That's funny.
That was a solid before.
What a game.
I mean, it felt inevitable, didn't it?
Not really, man.
You don't think so?
I mean, listen, two, 300-yard games in five days since coming back, a pass rating above
110 in both games in five days.
It's been great.
Caleb Williams looks and feels like a superstar.
You might say that?
That is undeniable.
No, I'll give you.
All right.
So I didn't know if you guys were going to say that I was early on that or anything like that.
If that's too much of a home or take like.
I think it's too early to say he is a superstar.
Yeah, he certainly.
I don't think it's too early to say he, you know, he checks all the boxes.
And he plays the part of superstar quarterback, how he plays, how he looks on the field,
his pedigree all that.
And so the Packers' playoff game, superstar moments,
the Rams playoff game, superstar moments,
59 points against Carolina, superstar moments,
500 flights canceled out of Chicago,
then the injury, Falcons game, superstar moments.
Like, he's putting together a resume.
And last night, the only guy who's ever had a higher pass rating
against the Vrabel Pat's defense, I like this wilds,
it was your guy, Josh Allen.
And the idea of average depth of target,
that was a fun four-day controversy.
Caleb completed eight passes for over 20 yards last night.
There was one of them.
That was one of them.
Yeah, sure.
Yards after the catch counts.
But I would just say Caleb modeled his game after one of the greatest talents and players in the history of the sport.
He said his favorite player ever was Aaron Rogers.
And he is in the midst of having the beginning of a Rogers-like resume in this way.
putting up big numbers without putting the ball in harm's way.
The guy, he did it in the playoff game, so this is regular season.
But he set some record last night.
He tied Rogers' record.
Yeah.
This record for consecutive regular season games with a high volume of passes, 20 or more,
but one or fewer interceptions, it's now year two and year three, Caleb Williams.
Peak Rogers.
And peak MVP Super Bowl champion, Aaron Rogers, better than Brady, better than Breeze.
So to me, he is a superstar.
If you say that's early, that's fine.
But I think it's denying what your eyes tell you.
Yeah, well, I mean, it just depends on what your threshold of minimum accomplishments
or minimum time in the league to officially call him a superstar.
So he is not to me yet in my brain.
The NFL, we don't have the nice, tidy club superstar, where it's very easy to know it's
superstar.
Were they in the club?
I mean, could we make it for the NFL or no, it's impossible?
It doesn't work that way.
It's too situational and positional based and all.
It's just, it's too messy.
And sometimes the fun is in the messiness.
It almost took away some of the fun NBA debates.
Who's a superstar?
Like, I don't know, check the club.
But here is one of the statements Caleb made last night.
And this is something that matters to me.
I think it matters to some people.
I find this stuff really fun.
And we've talked about it for three years.
That draft class poll position, that great quarterback draft class,
that after year one, it was clearly Jaden Daniels.
There was no argument for anybody other than Jaden.
Jaden had one of the greatest rookie years ever.
His team went to the conference championship game.
You saw flashes from Drake.
You saw less flashes from Caleb.
It was Jaden.
After year two, it was clearly Drake May.
He had come in second place in MVP.
His team went to the Super Bowl.
Right now this moment, whether you ask fans, whether you ask media, whether you ask general managers, I think the answer is Caleb Williams is the best player, the best quarterback in that draft class.
Now, the fact that it has transitioned so much means it certainly can transition again.
And it's for a lot of reasons, this is not really the primary reason, but I know you like the head-to-head stuff.
Yeah.
Caleb against his draft class started off terrible.
O and three against quarterbacks from his draft class.
They scored 14 points a game.
Last five times he's played guys,
quarterbacks from that draft class,
they've won all the games.
He's played well.
And to Danny's point, he just doesn't turn the ball over.
So to me, he is now the lead dog of what looks like
a great, maybe historically great quarterback draft class.
I would agree with you that I'd have him as number one, but there's still an argument for Drake.
If you just want to say, look, one's been to a Super Bowl, one's been almost the MVP.
But right now, this season, I certainly have Caleb ahead.
And it is because of what you pointed out.
He can make the huge plays.
He's playing on schedule.
That's kind of been like the big improvement in the accuracy, the efficiency, and playing on schedule,
letting the offense work.
But yet, so throwing the small, short passes, the checkdowns,
and then when he needs to, he can be dynamic, all without throwing picks.
And that's the difference.
Drake will throw an interception, as we saw last night.
Caleb really won't.
And I'll add this to your, I don't have a graphic, but I'll add this stat.
His career interception percentage is 1.1.
Aaron Rogers, who we know is just impeccable in not throwing interception.
throughout his career is the all-time leader.
His is 1.4.
All right, so this guy, and you can, like you said,
you can see how he grew up watching Rogers
and I'm not going to put the ball in harm's way.
And to be so dynamic and so powerful with his passes,
and then on top of that, you don't throw picks, that is huge.
So, look, I'm with Nick as far as superstar in the making.
Clearly you see it.
maybe like he's probably maybe
ahead of this guy, but like a Cooper flag in
NBA, you would say he's clearly going to be
a superstar, but just a tad
bit too early. It might be four weeks from now.
He's a superstar. People were
critical of the Patriots defense
that came into this game,
cooking. And
Christian Gonzalez, after the game, was like, hey man,
Caleb was great.
Like, I'm not going to bang too much
on the Patriots defense if you're making
passes that have these
narrowest window
and chance of opportunity.
Ben Bolin said there were zero tight window throw.
Well, he didn't, he were, he, that wasn't his stat for the record.
That was like a next gen thing or a PFF thing or something.
But this is, I mean, come on.
This is, if it's one inch lower, we, Bayard tips it.
That's five minutes left in the fourth.
And I think we win the game.
And there's five minutes left.
It's a great.
And he had a few of these third and longs that he converted that like, this is what we want.
We want to have third and longs.
That is.
The pressure of the quarterback.
No, and the avoiding.
He did that several times.
Oh, those are two separate plays.
That play is so high level.
It was great.
Blitzer is unchecked right in his face.
He doesn't escape the pocket.
And that's 30 yards on a row.
And this is where, this might have been more off the air, actually,
KW, but I remember Manjini was here.
And he, and I, whenever I think I have the right side of an argument with you and
you won't budge, I go to Manjini.
You expect his football.
It did more than mine.
for reasons I still don't understand.
When we were talking about the value of the arm strength.
Those two throws, it's a lot of, you know, accuracy, agility, all of it,
but he also has to zip it.
And it's not like arm strength the way we joke about Joe Milton,
like somebody that can throw the ball 80 yards.
It's accuracy on 30 yards, not a short pass,
but arm strength is not about can you throw a hail?
Mary from your own 30.
Arm strength is can you
fire it in, you know,
before the defenders get there.
And just because Danny alluded to it,
can we please put
the A dot?
Let's see it. Air yards.
Just show Caleb by game.
Game one, when they scored 59 points,
he was chucking it downfield.
Yep.
Game two, he did not play well.
The weather was bad.
Even before he got hurt, he wasn't playing
well.
Brian Flores forced them into dinks and dunks.
I personally will not hold the game three numbers against him at all because they scored it will.
It was working.
Like there is no to me fair criticism of, oh, you're dinking and dunking when they scored 36 points, was it?
31, but they kneeled at the end.
They were going in for 38.
And then last night when you said, or you were at least curious, was he, were they going to be baited into throwing it downfield?
was Ben Johnson going to have rabid ears and do it.
They did throw it downfield and it worked.
Like I just don't think Caleb Williams is not a checkdown merchant.
I think he was willing to do it against Atlanta because it worked.
And it was his first game back in injury.
I like that.
Yeah.
He is taking what the defense will give you because you know he's got the other capabilities.
And if he can mix both of those, that's perfect.
Go.
Can I just take a slight exit off the Caleb Flowers Highway that?
we're on. That's what we expected. And this, I really wish this game went the other way.
No, because Ben Johnson did a few things in this game that worked out, but were just bonkers.
Did that hit your radar of, hey, why are we running illegal plays? Why are we, why are we, Caleb taking a huge sack where I think you should have run. I texted you. I was like, Danny, please go for a touchdown here. We need to stop the clock.
You did?
The kicking the field goal I thought was insane.
But it all worked besides the illegal play.
Is that just like, hey.
Ben Johnson, literally within the last hour about the illegal handoff, said,
shoot or shoot, we tried something and it didn't work.
Except that play is just against the rules.
Was he hoping the refs didn't catch you?
Was he, you know, like the Lamello's trap?
Listen, yes.
We put 14 guys on the field.
You got to give it a shot.
It flagged it.
So may, listen, it's a complicated rule.
He has to know the rule.
It seems like they didn't because he said that was how the play was drawn up.
He was supposed to be kind of like a fumble rusky type look.
He wanted to get Joe Tuny, Patriot Super Bowl champion, a touchdown against his old team.
You could say that is being too cute.
You are going to live by Ben Johnson and die by Ben Johnson.
And in the aggregate, it's a huge net positive.
And Ben Johnson was the best coach yesterday.
Yes.
Oh, he was crushing.
Yeah, I mean, but that.
I'll tell you that wacky play.
allowing Remandre Stevenson to run a two-second touchdown.
There was some weird stuff in the game.
But it was exciting.
All right.
Oh, Danny, you're out.
You're done.
Now, great job, part.
Thanks, boys.
Your watch is over.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know when it's.
I don't know when it's straight.
And why are you in an ice man outfit?
It's for Halloween that we're doing.
It's next Friday.
Meanwhile,
and am I in on the dinner even though I was not here?
No.
Nick doesn't get to go to the dinner?
No, yeah, maybe.
He won't for the Patriots.
Drake found the end zone four times.
Through two touchdowns, dove for one, threw one to the Bears.
It's his third red zone pick this year and marred an otherwise solid game.
Couldn't really hook up with AJ Brown, our star wide receiver either.
Here's AJ's take.
I know what type of player I am and I know that that's always the case.
You know, every time I lined up, you know, I get a lot of attention.
So teams started taking their way and it gives a lot of opportunities for other guys to
to make players and soften that up for me.
And then whenever I get my shots,
I gotta make them too.
I wanna personally apologize to you
because you picked against the Patriots twice.
I said that was a fool's errand.
And then he said, you know what?
I'm starting to believe in Vrable and Drake May
in this defense that I touted.
And then we went out there in loss.
So I apologize on behalf of all New England.
Are you concerned about the Patriots
in your fandom and faith post loss?
I'm not concerned.
Look.
True.
This is not.
I should have known.
I should have known, buddy.
Thank you, Chris.
It gets worse.
Someone order some ice.
What is this?
The Iceman comments.
Wilde, you're gonna look great dressed as the Iceman.
is the Iceman next to Parkins on the OT on Friday for Halloween?
When did the Iceman get this thing?
What is that fantastic?
That's ice?
It's ice.
It's ice.
But until then,
Oh no.
Until then,
this is no
this is no longer the doorstep of destiny.
Wow.
This is Caleb's door.
door, it is the doorstep of inevitability.
Wow. And I would also like to say,
the league has been put on notice, baby,
the Ben Johnson Stakey Lay.
We'll see you at the O.T for holiday boys.
I thought it was some sort of ice reference.
I thought you're going to say we're all on thin ice.
You're all on thin ice.
Can you take your gun, Iceman, can you take your gun, please?
No, you can't.
Sorry, I'm supposed to be mad.
Sorry. Iceman, here's your gun.
Thank you.
Wow.
All right.
Okay, Iceman.
Sorry.
Chris, what do you tell your wife when you go on?
How was your day, honey?
All right, bro.
I don't know.
Do I get to say something?
Yes.
There are more shenanigans coming on.
I wouldn't be.
too worried, Wiles.
Really? Yeah. Good.
Look, we talked about the injuries yesterday to the offensive line for the Patriots,
to the defensive backfield for the Patriots.
You were playing a good playoff team in their own building, and it was, you had a shot.
The game was fairly close.
I mean, look, first downs, Chicago had one more first down.
Chicago had 25 more yards than you guys.
Chicago had one more sack than you guys.
the difference was the interception.
If Drake does not throw that interception in the end zone,
potentially should they score a touchdown there,
they go up 14, 13, most likely,
or missed the field extra point is 13 off.
Or at the very least, you get a field goal, you're down three.
Okay, but instead you throw the pick.
Chicago goes down and scores 27.
I get it.
You had to play it before the half.
But still, momentum was gone.
They were in control.
And that's the difference between Drake and Caleb.
And to me, that was the difference in the game.
And that is something you got to figure this out.
Because Drake, his rookie year, he threw a lot of interceptions.
Last year, not so much until the playoffs.
He threw a lot.
And this year, as well as he's played, because you could argue,
take that interception away.
And as great as Caleb was,
You could argue Drake was right there and maybe even better.
Like Drake was great yesterday.
Ran one.
Yeah, he was phenomenal, but for the interception.
And I really think that was the difference in the game.
In the last four weeks, Drake May has thrown for two shot, two yards shy of 1,200 yards.
So averaging almost 300 a game.
He's got 14 total touchdowns, two picks, and a passer rating of 119.
The Chargers have turned the ball over 15 times.
They are right now hopeless and just in utter despair of like, what are we doing?
Should we trade our quarterback?
Should we fire everybody?
Should we move back to San Diego?
The Patriots who are supposed to be contending for the Super Bowl have turned the ball over 14 times.
That's just not winning football.
But most of that is Drake.
Yeah.
Literally.
I'm just saying like the majority of those are correct.
He's got the same number.
The glass half full, it is a fixable, a fixable problem.
This is, this is a tough graphic.
Aside from Stafford who like, is this Stafford we're saying is having a down year.
And Stafford also, the year they won the Super Bowl,
Stafford led the league in picks if you remember.
Like, but here's the red zone picks.
Here's the red zone picks.
Go to that one if you would dust.
This is the other problem.
Since he's come in the league, he has the most of them.
And this year...
Eight is crazy.
That's in three years, obviously.
But still, I mean, correct.
But this year it's three.
No other quarterback has more than one.
No.
Like Patrick just threw one, you know, this past week.
And we talked about how bizarre of a mistake it was.
Like I...
So Drake has to clean that up flatly.
He just must.
But here was my biggest takeaway.
And then I'll shut up because I want to make sure we have time to get to...
I didn't go, you know, I didn't take time off work to go to the Sixers game.
to not have it on the show.
I was working.
How's your story?
Oh, it's all on foxports.com.
You just check it out.
But I think the Patriots are a pretty good team,
and I think the Bears are a very good team.
I don't think either of them.
It's how it looked last night.
To me, that's why I'm not panicked.
Like, I think the Bears are a team that I don't think will go to the Super Bowl,
but things break right.
it wouldn't shock me.
And the Patriots are a team that I expect to be in the playoff mix all year
and could win a playoff game.
But if they make it back to the Super Bowl, it would really surprise me.
You know what I mean?
They're just not a full weight class beneath, but just a stick.
Sneaky compliments that I think might have to downgrade the Patriots.
Like, are we going to become like a team you don't want to see?
Rather than a team that's like in the playoffs.
Oh, you don't want to see them.
Oh, you don't want to, like, Drake May couldn't get hot.
Like, are we that team?
And so, yeah, I mean, it just feels like that.
I know the margin is so silly.
Feels like one of these teams is an 11-win team and the other is a 10-win team.
Like, that's the, you know, and so that's what it felt to me.
Quickly, your concern level one through, let's say, 10 about A.J. Brown.
Six and a half.
Six and a half?
Five.
Five.
Okay.
I might be higher.
I'd be at like seven.
Really?
We got extra time and then we got Miami.
He's certainly not what he was a few years ago,
but he still could be a very good.
Chris,
thank you as always.
All right,
we had eyes and ears at this game in Philadelphia
for the largest comeback of LeBron's career.
After being booed by the Philly crowd in their home opener,
LeBron and the Sixers stormback from 29 down to beat the Cavs Day undefeated.
Here's LeBron on the Philly crowd.
It was everything that I dreamed of and more.
Got the booze.
That was amazing.
We deserved it.
And then we got the chairs
and we almost
blew the roof off this thing tonight.
Did you boo?
No.
I'm not a booer in general.
I do yell at refs.
Sure.
I don't blame refs on the show.
A lot of yel.
I know the, I do a...
I'm so dumb.
I just,
the refs I don't know, you can see their names.
Like, you just look it up.
And I'm like, Aaron, come on, Aaron.
You know you missed it.
Like, I just feel like the players, like I do that.
But that's neither here nor there.
Very quick takeaways.
One is, and I think LeBron alluded to it, don't get mad at me, brew.
I know you have a lot of love for Ohio.
I think Philadelphia is the best sports city LeBron's ever played for.
I think L.A. is a bad sports city.
Miami's a mediocre sport city.
Cleveland is a good sport.
Sports City.
It was a very good sports.
It's a very good.
Like, Cleveland, and I think Philly is.
Philly is arguably the best.
Maybe the best or the passion.
And it was, it was insane.
This is the first game this team's played in that building all year.
And midway through the second quarter, the crowd is furious.
And they were playing terribly and they were turning the ball over.
But then in the second half, it sounded and felt like a playoff game.
And so there's that.
And then my other takeaway is.
I have never seen, and I'm not trying to be prisoner of the momentee,
but a comeback quite like this one in that show the second half stats,
and this is why I've never seen it.
I've never seen a 25 point second half comeback where you hit three threes.
That's interesting.
It just doesn't happen in the modern NBA.
In the modern NBA, if somebody overcomes 29 point deficit,
it's because they went 8 of 11 from 3 in the third quarter.
The Sixers just got stops and then got to the rim.
Stops and got to the rim.
That was really impressive, bro.
Yeah, look, they obviously aren't as good as they will be
and they've already beaten two of the top teams in the East.
I mean, that's impressive.
The talent is crazy.
Tyrese Maxie is unguardable as it is because of his speed,
but now you put four other threats on the floor with him
and you can't just double him focus on him.
He's incredible.
And he's just clearly their best player.
Yeah, yeah.
And then Jalen Brown also obviously can get to the hole whenever he wants.
And again, you can't just focus on him because of the other threats.
Embed is a, even in his diminished form, is a terrific mid-range shooter.
Terrific.
Like, not just for a center, period.
So you got that.
And then LeBron, one of the smartest players ever, one of the greatest passers ever,
to work with talent like that.
And yesterday, Nick, also, because you're right on the threes, the defense.
Yeah.
Like, they can play defense and they have these first two games when they want to,
and they just, look, I got to say something about Cleveland, too.
Oh, yeah.
LeBron got a steel to basically ice it, like he got a block in the other game.
But say something about Cleveland Brew,
because that was the absolute worst case scenario way for them to start.
It was disastrous.
After the way you lost game, one of the Eastern Conference Finals to do it,
It's up 22 with eight minutes left.
And then you blow a league in the very first game.
So look.
And Ackinson wouldn't call time out.
None of us believed, I'm sure, Cleveland was going to win the East.
They're going to win their 53 to 56 games.
They're going to be great.
But not only do we know they can't win the East after last night, they know it.
They know it.
They know it in their minds.
Because it was right there.
Sixers got the Bucks and the Pistons this weekend.
We got to, I'll be there for the Bucks next.
Oh, Ed, taking us a break.
We're counting down a game one of the World Series coverage at 7 o'clock on Fox,
Raising Brewers and our picks coming up a little bit later.
Game one of the World Series tonight, coverage at 7 on Fox,
raised in Milwaukee to face one of the hottest playoff teams ever.
The Brewers have won 22.
of their last 26 games.
I was going to say I was a little scared at first,
but now I'm starting to get into it.
The World Series to offset alert.
Coach is not here, but he sent us a video.
Before we get to that, we're going to look at the standings.
These parlias are just the death of us.
Well, yeah, not the death of Coach and Greg,
because they've stayed away and they're crushing.
How are they getting?
They're just covering.
Yeah, they're just covering.
They're not winning.
We're in third, five and a half, six, two, 15 and a half.
I had, I would have had more points, but nobody cares.
This time for me. Here's coach in his first upset alert.
Okay, so it's time for Greg and I to extend our upset alert lead.
I think we're only at about four and a half points.
There are four points right now.
And what I'm going to do is I'm going to go with one of the biggest dogs of the season
and definitely the biggest dog this week.
I'm going with the New York Giants over the Houston Texans.
And Houston's feeling great.
They beat Tennessee, who hadn't won a game at the time.
They beat Jacksonville in the UK.
Big win.
I understand that.
But I think the defense is fixed.
Houston still gives up 30 points.
So now Houston comes back home where they're 0 and 3 playing a Giants team that's number one in their division, but yet they're 10.5 point underdogs.
And Houston, who's number three in their division, probably feels like they should be a lot better than they are right now.
And they're probably looking at the New York Giants says, okay, yeah, they're first place in their division, but that division isn't very good.
they're not very good.
We're rolling now.
And that confidence and the confidence are coming off that big weekend win in Jacksonville
is going to be the difference in the game.
And that's why the Giants, Kim Skadaboo, who had that soft benching, probably pretty motivated.
J.J. McCarthy playing with House money could be a real positive for the somewhat struggling
Giants offense.
So 10.5 point dogs or 10 plus point dogs,
gonna be the difference this week.
I mean, that seems like just a strategic.
It's, well, here's the thing.
Coach, coach has had good strategy
because coach and Greg this year have not parlayed once.
And I created something a little for you guys
to try to prevent you for making another relay error.
I learned my lesson.
Dust, can we show it real quick?
Look at how many points you guys have missed out on
because of parliads.
What?
That's what you would have in addition.
So if you guys...
So we would be crushing.
If you guys show what the leaderboard would look like if they hadn't parley.
Coach and Greg would be in last place.
KW would have 26 and a half.
Brew would have 17.
That's what the leaderboard could look like.
Instead, it looks like this, which is mortifying.
This shows you don't do your parlay.
Exactly.
You know what, though?
Gamble responsible.
We got guts.
We got guts.
We swing for defenses.
That says clear-cut.
Don't do it.
Exactly.
I'm not doing a parlay today.
This is not a joke.
It's not a misdirection.
I got one pick.
Coach went big game hunting.
Too big.
All right.
I am going with Indianapolis.
Oh, that's pretty big.
Minnesota.
Six and a half point dogs.
Indianapolis's season is on the line.
Yeah.
Right?
If they lose this game, they're two and five.
It's basically over.
And they will know it.
It'll be their third straight loss, and they will know we're just not there this year.
I don't think they're going to be there anyway, but if they win, they can tell themselves.
No, if they win, they're going to feel good about themselves.
So they are desperate.
Jonathan Taylor, I believe, can have a big game, and I'm sure they are embarrassed after what happened last week.
They lost to the winless Titans in Indy.
On the other hand, what?
All right.
Minnesota, this is your big trap game.
Coming off a by, guess who they play next week?
Somebody good.
Detroit.
Oh.
Division rival Detroit lines.
We're looking ahead.
We're looking past the Colts.
We want Detroit.
We know we'll beat Indy.
They just lost to the Titans.
And Kyler, Kyler's been so bad that last week he threw for two or two weeks ago,
230 yards and a touchdown with no 50.
Oh my gosh, he's back.
I hate that pick, to be honest.
Why?
I want to support because I believe in the Vikings.
Brew, great.
They're not going undefeated, Wilde.
Great job, bro.
Mine is very simple.
It's not big game hunting at all.
It's just a conservative pick right down the middle.
This team used to be favored, and all of a sudden,
Lamar's ankle has switched it.
I am taking the Bengals over the Ravens.
It's not a huge line.
No, one of the Bengals are rested and ready to go.
Lamar.
You're counting on him not playing.
No, I think he is going to play, but I don't think he's going to be 100%.
I don't think he's going to play.
Oh, and if you don't, I think by kickoff, they're going to be the favorite.
I think this is a savvy pick.
Oh, that would be fascinating.
So how would that way?
No, it's just wherever it is.
I get locked in.
Jamar Chase quickly against the Ravens.
How does he do?
Well, it's the most 120 yards against the Ravens is the most ever by any player versus a single
opponent.
It's a, it's a pretty simple move.
Joe Burrow to Jamar Chase for the win.
So nice and easy.
Why are they two and seven, though, against the Raymonds?
Well, now they're on a bye.
It's on it.
It is time now, of course, for a fresh episode of Nick.
No, he went back to the well.
He's part.
He went back to the well.
I can't resist.
I'm like a moth to a flame.
Oh, what's going on?
Who's the underdog?
What could I take that would break my rule that I just made?
Patrick Mahomes is an underdog.
Are you kidding me?
It's like picking up money on the ground.
Yes, I'm telling you.
When's the last time Kenneth Walker lost a game?
Well, we figured out.
Week 11, 2025, the guys on a 15-game win streak.
Here's the Seattle's plan.
I got the plan, guys.
What is it?
Stop Kenneth Walker.
That's everybody's plan.
Doesn't work.
Easy.
Bengals and Chiefs, Joe Burrow and Mahomes.
I'll take it.
Now it's time for Nick's pick.
Not bad.
I can't resist.
Come on.
That's a good one, though.
I do like it.
Not bad.
All right.
I'm going one and two, three,
straight weeks, guys. Wow. Three straight? The Jags finally let me down. The Pats, listen, kids,
that's why the hook always matters. This game was sitting at seven all week.
Moved to seven and a half cost me. The Raiders, I got a little lucky. I'm also picking the wrong
games on. I pick five games a week on the podcast. I'm 15 and 15. I pick my favorite three from
the podcast going here. I'm 7-11. So my non-favor page is a disaster. Too many picks. It's just, it's
Disaster.
Wow.
Before we reveal my first game, I want to give everyone,
even though this record doesn't suggest it,
I'm a good person to come due for gambling advice.
And a good, tried-and-true piece of gambling advice is,
if all of the bad gamblers you know agree on something,
go the other way.
Yeah.
Every single bad gambler in America is going to be on the Niners,
laying less than a field goal,
against the deep sleeper Falcons.
So I'll be on the Falcons.
Falcons plus two and a half
against San Francisco in Atlanta.
Interesting.
Why is that so low, though?
Because, you know why?
Vegas is begging you to take the Niners
with all the bad gamblers.
They're like, you know what?
How could you not?
They're undefeated.
They've looked great.
They're the best team in football.
They're laying less than a field goal.
That's the whole rationale.
Yeah.
Do I have a lot of solid analysis other than every,
if we got 100 bad gamblers in room and said,
what's your favorite bet of the week?
They'd all say the Niners.
So I'm going to go with the Falcons.
Next, the Dolphins have lost every single game this year by five or more points.
They've lost most of their games by double digits.
I don't think the Jets are terrible.
They're not.
I think the Jets are decidedly below average.
They're a nice below average team with a nice below average but fine quarterback.
That's who the Jets are.
The dolphins are trying to chase history to be the worst team ever.
I'll lay the four and a half at the Meadowlands or MetLife, whatever.
MetLife, I know what it's called with the Jets.
And last but not least, Monday night football.
Wow, this guy's got Philly on the brain.
Well, here's why.
Everyone's like, oh, Tanner McKee, Tanner McKee.
What have I told you guys about bad young quarterbacks?
When do they look good?
when they get to play a defense that reminds them of college.
First read is open.
It's the last time we saw a theoretically bad young quarterback.
I don't hate this.
Jalen Daniels against this cowboy's defense,
the Eagles, defense is the best unit in the game.
I'm getting four and a half points at home in a divisional matchup.
So I will take, if you're asking me to break out of my slump,
am I rolling with the Falcons, the Jets,
and the absolutely decimated Eagles?
I sure am.
I like it.
That's a three and over.
week, my friends.
All right. Chiefs in Seattle, Sunday night.
Seahawks' favorite with extra rest
as they tried to get above 500 and ruin
Kenneth Walker's homecoming.
What would a Chiefs win prove?
That they're unequivocally and officially the best team in the NFL.
I don't know if right now they are, and you saw Chiefs
plus the points was not part of Nick's picks.
This is a game Seattle's supposed to win.
But if Kansas City goes into Seattle,
was Seattle desperate, needing the game on
extra rest without both of its starting tackles and its top two receivers and wins,
then it just means of the best team.
Regardless of how it happens.
Because obviously, San Fran beat them in Seattle.
Yeah, beat them, beat them by three, right?
In Seattle.
And so, yeah, I think, I just think it will mean the chiefs of the best team.
And I also think fair or not, I think it is fair in my opinion.
I know some people might not think it's fair.
that if the Chiefs get to 6 and 0
and Seattle drops to 3 and 4,
Kenneth Walker should get an even harder look
at this point of the season league MVP.
Oh, that's an interesting.
Well, he's second right now.
I know he is second,
but it was second to you, Bru, but he's 50.
So are you saying on your ballot he would be number one,
or maybe he's already been number one?
No, I'm saying, what I'm saying is if he's awesome again
and the Chiefs dealing with the tackle situation
and the receiver situation
are still have a top five offense
and in condition, this is the part that I said
I don't know if it's fair. And Seattle's falling, you know,
has lost more games this year than it lost all of last year
and everyone's back basically but Kenneth Walker.
I think that buttresses his MVP argument
even if how a different team is doing
shouldn't impact it. To me, it kind of would.
No, that's part of the context. I mean, he's right there.
Look, if Purdy has a bad game, he may move. I mean, I don't know.
what the other, what the real voters would think.
But for me, he's right there.
I mean, the dude is having a phenomenal year.
It certainly would say the chiefs are, I already think they're back.
But like, it would erase all the arguments against them.
Because some people are criticizing them because of the schedule.
They played a soft schedule.
Obviously, the first win was great over Denver, but, you know, you can write that off.
It's, hey, Denver, first game of the season, whatever.
They haven't, you know, they haven't looked like a juggernaut other than they're winning all these games.
Indy two wins gave them some trouble.
The Raiders, a 500 team gave them trouble.
Yeah, they control Miami and the Chargers.
But those teams are winless.
Those are the two worst teams in the league.
And so if they win this game, it just says they're back.
And they're either the best or the second best team in the league right there with San Francisco.
So it's already been scary for the AFC in particular.
but it'd be scarier, even scarier.
If the Chiefs, excuse me, if the Chiefs, if the Seahawks fall to three and four,
are we looking at the Seahawks a little sideways?
Like, oh, this is, well, I think it'd be on the board,
on the board that they missed the play.
The thing is, I wouldn't write them off, on the board.
For unless we think the NFC North is getting every team in,
every one, which has never happened, but could happen,
then the NFC West is going to get a wildcard spot.
It's just the math of it.
NFC East is obviously going to be a one-team division.
I think the NFC South is going to be at this point a one-team division.
So that does leave.
The NFC North could get all four.
But if you, the odds are somebody once they start playing a bunch of divisional games falls back,
they don't just go one-in-one all against each other,
and that would leave the door open for either Seattle or the Rams.
But I am starting to think that it is,
this point Seattle or the Rams.
Yeah.
That it's not both of them.
Because if it's both of them,
then the NFC North can only get two.
Both be under 500.
All right, Ed on the Oregon,
counting us down to game one of the World Series.
Now, after the break, this time,
we are going to make our picks for game one
and the whole series.
Yeah, both of them.
Oh, yeah.
World Series, game one tonight.
We're only three hours away.
Three hours and two minutes.
Rays are going to be in Milwaukee.
Coverage starts 7 o'clock on Fox.
Interesting tidbit here.
The winner of game one has won 19 of the last 25 World Series.
Here's the pitching matchup that we've got tonight.
Nick Martinez on the mound against the MIS.
This is this postseason where the MIS was unstoppable in the regular season.
But in the postseason, they won.
Yeah.
But is ERA's up, batting average way up.
Still not horrible.
No, it's so good.
But I think that the raise get to him.
I am picking the raise to win game one and the entire World Series.
Wow.
Wow.
That is surprising to me.
I'll go because everybody knows where I'm at.
This was, oddly, my pick from the beginning of the playoffs, the Milwaukee Brewers.
You've been on the Brewers for a long time.
I've been on the Brewers for a long time.
I told you.
I've watched a lot of brewers this year.
oddly. I almost, if I hadn't missed yesterday's show, I would have maybe missed today's show because
I got invited to this game. Oh, but I wouldn't have been able to make it.
He's laying the foundation.
I'm telling you, but I think Ms. has the type of performance we saw in the regular season.
I think we get like seven innings. Wow, that would be shocking.
And so I'm going with the Brewers tonight and the Brewers in six is my work.
World Series pick.
I got the Brewers in 7 and I got the Brewers tonight.
I think Ms.
has a great game like Nick said.
He hasn't lost the start since August, August 2nd, in fact.
So I think it'll be good.
I got Jackson Cheerio as the MVP.
Oh, I didn't know we're doing MVP.
I'm like LeBron.
I'm from the rough and tumble Midwest.
So that's why I'm going with the Bulls.
Oh, excellent.
Enjoy the World Series.
Thank you to Ed on the Oregon.
Excellent job.
See you Monday.
We'll see you Monday.
