I'm not saying he's going to take over the league again at 35 years old, you know,
fresh off of a two-year hiatus.
But I think every week it'll be revealing.
You'll see what the ceiling really looks like.
He can help them.
He absolutely can help them.
He's going to be disruptive at the very least.
Jalen throwing the ball over the middle of the field and all the things we harped about in the
offseason.
I saw a stat.
This is like the fourth game in his career that he's had over 10 passes attempted in the
middle of the field and five yards being on a lot of scrimmage.
That's not baby.
steps what we've seen the first two weeks he's growing by leaps and bounds and i'm not saying the giant
season is up and smoke but if they can't win the next couple of games it's going to be hard for
them to go where they want to go even with the backup quarterback welcome to the midweek show
don't judge me i would never wear this hat in public chris i like the hat thank you dude i just
sometimes i don't like the way a hat fits and you know like it you you you you get
get on camera and you look at yourself and it's brutal.
And so I,
I, I, I, I, I, I just opened a box of memorabilia,
traded jerseys and hats and footballs and this was set on top.
I hadn't won this before.
First wear, the maiden voyage for that cap.
I don't know if I wore it like after we won no big deal conference champions.
Fuck yeah.
Um, I don't know if I wore it.
Um, yeah, I don't know if I wore it that, that night.
I'm pretty sure I wore it that night.
It doesn't smell bad, though.
I mean, like, I, you know, I've never, I would never wear this in public, only on a podcast.
Does it smell like NFC championship victory?
No, but it kind of brings me back and it has me thinking about Zach Ertz.
That was such a good segue.
You fucking stole it.
I was going to say that.
Yes.
Hertz is back and all is right in Philly, you know?
How cool is that?
That's, did you see that people were over analyzing or analyzing,
depending on how you want to put it, Jason Kelsey's reaction to finding out.
out on air that Zach Ertz was coming back. Have you seen this video? No, I haven't seen it.
It's basically your typical like Kelsey facial expression where it looks like he, he realized
he just shit his pants. Like it really, like it has nothing to do with like Zach Ertz, but people
are like, man, I think Kelsey wants to come back. You see the way he reacted. Yeah. And they could
probably use him right now, to be honest. Breaking on the green light pot, Jason Kelsey,
on retiring with longtime buddy, Zach Ertz. But I do think, you know, with the whole,
like Aaron Donald coming out of retirement.
Zach Hertz, not, he was, he wasn't retired, but, you know, like some of my friends are
coming back and playing football. Like, I do, I do think Jason Kelsey could probably play.
I think if you gave Kelsey a couple months, he could play. I don't know if Kelps would say
that. I've asked him directly, but I mean, are you having a little phomo, Chris, watching the,
you know, the Rams and. Oh, dude, I had a little, I did have a little. No, I had, um, put that
picture up, will you?
Calps? Yeah.
Dude, you know, I just get a little sentimental sometimes. It was, uh, I'm sitting here watching
the games and, you know, I'm as retired as retired could be. Like, you know, there's different
stages of retirement. I think it's like, um, it's like accepting like death. There's the five
stages. And I'm through, I'm on like stage seven, which I don't really know what to call that,
but it's, it's way past acceptance. And things hurt.
And you're just like, man, where did the time go?
And, you know, I'm sitting there with my kids getting ready to watch Monday night football.
And they're panning in to the stadium in L.A., which is surreal in and of itself,
having played in St. Louis every time I see the stadium in L.A.
And they're leading into the game.
And they're like, one of the best to ever play the game, Aaron Donald coming out of retirement,
a two-year hiatus.
He's going to be on the field tonight.
and I'm watching him warm up.
And I'm thinking to myself like, damn,
I just remember when he was a rookie,
how recently that feels.
And if you'd have played me that sound bite in training camp
and been like, hey, this is what the future sounds like.
I wouldn't have been surprised at all.
The only thing I would have been surprised about
is the fact that he took two years off.
But that picture was, that was our last night in St. Louis
before we moved.
I was as good as cut.
I knew I was cut.
I was living in a hotel.
Cap casualty. I've I are two years in a row. I'm playing on a tibial plateau fracture.
It was a bad time for your boy personally, but this is a bittersweet memory of this one of
the last pictures of my favorite group of all time. Not taking anything away from our group in
Philly, but I just, you know, I love these guys. I play with these guys for four plus years,
you know, like some of these guys are, you know, and obviously there's fucking legends in there.
I mean, the best defensive player of all time and also looking like a total rookie. Yeah, no,
William Hayes is the best defense player all time.
That's big play Hayes there.
You get Michael Brockers in there.
I think Robert Quinn was maybe like taking a dump or something
because he was supposed to be in this picture,
but he's not in the picture.
There's a lot of really good players in this picture.
And the reason I brought it up is because the,
it's just crazy to look at that guy number 99.
If you showed this picture to somebody
who did not know anything about football,
you'd be like, who's the least likely guy
to be the best player of all time?
They might say number 99.
I'd say old boy on the far left there.
Well, yeah, well, he's in street clothes.
That's a shout out to Matt Longacre.
He's a hell of a player.
He was a hell of a player.
He was a really good player.
But the point is, last night, they rolled out these neon yellow jerseys.
And it reminded me of our, we played the Bucks, your Bucks.
It was a, it was a color rush night.
Shout out to the color rush.
And it was the ketchup and mustard game.
And it closed out the Edward Jones dome.
And it was a super sad.
night for St. Louis fans because you knew it was over. And that was the night James actually
tripped me running from the huddle to the line of scrimmage after an explosive play. And I didn't
know who tripped me. I looked up and he's laughing at me. So in full circle, James Winston's playing
in the game last night. So time is a flat circle, Chris. Oh my God, dude. You're like, where did the
time go? And, you know, when you watch somebody do what Aaron Donald did last night and there's a lot
more to the game than Aaron Donald. And I know people are tired of hearing about it, Aaron Donald.
But like, it's just so hard to appreciate when you retire. You have to retire to understand it.
You watch TV and you hear the hits get picked up on the microphone. You see the violence.
You think back to what your life was like when every day you were uncomfortable and you were under pressure.
And, you know, the mental and physical toll of it that every week is like, you know, Monday,
you feel like you were in a car accident and you feel slightly better every day until Sunday
and then you take tort all and go roll and do it again.
And just in that constant cycle, you realize when you retire how fucking hard it is.
And it's almost like once you stop, it's hard to go back.
You're not that person anymore.
Yeah.
Sometimes I'll watch the tape or I'll watch games.
I'm like, how the fuck did I do this, bro?
Like I'm watching, I don't know, I was watching Chargers tape today and Tomlinson, you know,
he's like in his 11th year or something i'm like how the fuck was i eating double teams like this how
is this guy still doing this it's impressive man it's crazy i mean i watch colias campbell out there
still playing you know but you think about somebody retiring for two years that whatever that it
is it leaves well erin donald is not a normal person chris he's not he's not a normal person
and and that was what was apparent to me watching the game last night let's get this out of the way
the guy can still play football i'm not saying you know when i watched him in real time last night
my wife was like, how does he look?
I said he looks a little rusty, but it's still there.
And then when I watched you all 22 today, there are flashes and not just one or two.
There were a lot of flashes in this game of the same type of suddenness and ability to attack edges that I saw two years ago when he was the best in the game.
He still knows how to beat a back block.
Good luck.
Good luck blocking back on him in a gap scheme.
his he'll be a three technique and like get you know the guard will be pulling the running power away from him or whatever
and so the the center's back blocking him and he the way he turns and like hand swipes the hinging tackle
and then gets skinny and then switches his hip so fast it's so impressive i mean i was i think everybody is curious to see
how he would play obviously um but i was curious to see kind of how the rams would use him you know what i mean
like is he going to go to the open side play three technique is he just going to come in on third and long
and I was surprised that, you know, how he was just kind of rotating in there like normal.
Like he played 33 snaps.
He was in there in short yardage goal line, like any kind of situation, you know, defense with
the ram saw.
And I wasn't necessarily expecting that.
Like I thought maybe they'd get his feet wet a little bit and what do they call like a,
you know, rep count or whatever.
Yeah, yeah, pitch count.
My guess on the Monday show was they'd play them anywhere from like 18 to 25 snaps.
Yeah.
So really ambitious for a guy who probably.
had four practices.
You know what I'm saying?
And so did he look like AD in his prime?
Not quite,
but he looked like one of the better defensive tackles
that I saw on tape this weekend.
If I had to turn on tape and didn't know who anybody was,
I'd have been like on Monday night,
I'd have said, who the fuck is this guy?
Like, golly, he's quick.
Twitchy.
I mean, he might be all right.
And, you know, this Maui Noah guy,
he's a stud.
young guard, like they were gassing him on the broadcasts. They were like one of the best guards to
come out of college in a long time. Yeah. And Aaron beat him cleanly a couple times inside, like
quickly and, you know, walked him back and the whole thing. So, you know, I'm not saying he's going to
take over the league again at 35 years old, you know, fresh off of a two-year hiatus. But I think
every week it'll be revealing. You know what I'm saying? You'll, you'll see what the ceiling really
looks like he can help them. He absolutely can help them. He's going to be disruptive at the very
least. And I thought, you know, you look at pass rush win rate and all that stuff. Like,
they dominated this game up front. They dominated it up front offensively. They ran the ball
with authority. But the thing that I came away from the game talking about today when I was
texting some guys was Matt Stafford and Devante Adams. You know, it's a week where, you know,
the Rams are they're overrated.
They're not that good.
We told you, you know, the whole thing.
First, it's they did the dumbest thing.
They're definitely going to lose in Australia because we know how jet lag works.
And then they lose in Australia.
And the same guys are like, yeah, it's because they suck.
It has nothing to do with the jet lag.
Matt Stafford looked fantastic, you know, threw a pick, but had kind of that gunslinger mentality
and, you know, made some throws.
He made one throw to the field backed up.
Then only a handful of guys can make.
and Devante Adams was spectacular.
You know, dude, his hands are so strong, dude,
that one catch where he's leaning.
He's got the defender draped on him.
He's leaning.
He just catches it right with his hands so nice,
right before the half.
You know, I thought they were going to get a delay of,
delay a game penalty defensively.
But like, dude, staff and Adams look so comfortable, man.
And you kind of like, just seems so obvious in hindsight.
Like, of course, Devante Adams is going to eat with puka being out
and everything like that.
And then it happens.
You're like, of course.
you know what i mean like they looked fucking good man they were offensively just
locked and loaded man like it was kind of what you expect to see in week one and a little bit
reassuring it feels like you know everything's kind of right with my NFL takes right now
but you know the thing about the rams is they they can sit in 13 personnel and they don't need
to have you know four wide out on the field you know and and the other thing is like that insert
play that people are making a big deal about today where the mic picked up mad stafford
Matt Stafford identifying the nickel coming and people are acting like
like he hasn't been doing that for fucking like we just or whatever.
Yeah like like the the invention of the printing press like oh my God I've never
seen anything like this but it was cool to hear that but but the part that I really like
is just seeing guys this Rams wide receivers they're all willing to block yeah you know
they they're bought in this team's going to be very good
And I thought McDuffie was very good on neighbors and, you know, limited handful of snaps we saw there.
Obviously, the whole game flipped on its head and changed when Jackson Dart went down.
I had this game like 26, 20 Rams.
And the line was six and a half or whatever it was.
And I think it probably plays out that way.
It's probably a backdoor cover type situation the way they were moving the ball.
The Giants are beat up, dude.
The corner room is beat up.
I thought Nubin had a rough game.
They were blocking the guys up front.
So, you know, the Rams were going to have their way offensively.
It was only a matter of time.
The thing that sucks is we didn't get to see,
and we probably won't get to see the Giants offense really firing on all cylinders all year.
Not that we don't love Jay Boo.
I love Jay Boo.
I mean, he's thrilling in a very different way.
Like, I was just so excited to see the Giants after week one and, you know, the way they played.
Offensively, man, like I love the way that they're kind of, you know, in week one,
the way they were riding Jackson Dart and, you know, using his legs, like design quarterback
run, taking advantage of his mobility and his toughness too.
Like he is a tough fucker, you know, like I'm, uh, I think that was kind of on display last night
a little bit with how he wanted to come back in.
You know, they had to take his paths from him.
And it's just so hard, man, when you game plan all week with your guy, like you're,
you know, your quarterback like Jackson Dart is the dude in New York.
And you're kind of relying on that toughness, that mobility.
And he's going to be a huge part of the.
Giants offense the way that the, you know, Josh Allen is for the bills in a certain way,
and Lamar Jackson is for the Ravens. And then all of a sudden he gets hurt after the first series,
and you're just like, well, fuck. You know, they keep cutting a John Harbaugh on the sidelines,
and he's just got that thousand-yard stare kind of going. And it's like, it's really impossible
to get into a rhythm offensively after a situation like that, you know?
It is hard. You spend the entire week on a game plan that's predicated on having him under center.
And, you know, it's hard to blame him for getting hurt. You know, he's, yeah.
He's played with a little bit of a reckless abandon,
and you talk about the head injuries and being in the blue tent,
but, you know, like, ironically, not a guy with a bunch of documented concussions.
Just spends a lot of time getting checked out because of the way he plays.
You know, his drop target on that play was probably 12 yards.
So, you know, it's not a case of the offensive line getting, you know,
worked and getting him killed.
I mean, he's backing up trying to hit Theo Johnson down the field.
And he just, he's in the air.
And it wasn't a dirty play or anything.
like that, you know, you finish on the quarterback and he ends up in a very awkward position.
And I thought initially, I thought it could be a tibial plateau thing. I thought it could be ACL.
I thought it could be MCL. It sounds like today, with the x-rays being negative, there's some
ligament damage that's going to definitely keep him out probably closer to the entire year.
Now, I don't want to speculate, but like Schefter hit us with the notification this afternoon
that, you know, I saw the trainer last night, mouth four to six weeks was what was going around
on the internet, Harbaugh, getting the bad news from, or actually good news in that case,
from the trainer, but it sounds worse than that. And I'm not saying the giant season is up in smoke,
but if they can't win the next couple of games, because they play a couple of relative cupcakes coming up here,
they get the Cardinals and they get the Titans,
the Titans looked very good at home this week,
and we'll talk about that in a minute.
But you know, and the Cardinals have shown
they have the ability to stress people.
If they don't win these next two games,
it's gonna be hard for them to go where they wanna go,
even with a backup quarterback,
especially with the backup quarterback.
And Jay Boo is like a consummate professional
in that whole thing.
and he's at least going to give you more a higher ceiling
than you might have with somebody else,
but he's also going to give you the plays
that you're going to want back from time to time.
So, you know, for a team that, to me,
was all about three plays at a time.
It was all about taking care of the football,
imposing your will physically,
the quarterback mobility that changes things for the offense.
And Brian Burns left with an injury.
Andrew Thomas has beat up.
Malik neighbors.
Seems like he had some sort of shoulder thing going on
for a little bit last night, too.
It just feels like the injuries have been so unfortunate for the Giants, man.
I mean, obviously, Scadaboo last year, neighbors has had a little bit of an injury history.
And now Jackson Dart.
And it's like, man, you're so excited to see the whole gang together offensively for the Giants.
And you just feel like you're getting fucking robbed, man.
It's a bummer.
But who knows, man?
I mean, maybe James is going to galvanize these guys.
Like, I'll tell you what.
He gives some pretty good fucking speeches.
And he is a good leader in kind of a different way than other quarterbacks you see.
So I'm rooting for the Giants in a way.
I want Jack's Dirt.
I want to see him play again this season, but who knows?
Well, the question is going to be, and people are going to bring this up,
and I haven't formulated a full opinion on it.
But like with Jaden Daniels getting hurt, Jackson Dark getting hurt, you know,
Giants fans will say, you're crazy to even talk about this, but it was posed to me,
like, hey, if they're picking in the top five, which I don't think is going to happen.
Yeah.
I think they're good enough.
In the vaunted 2027 college football draft class, the NFL
Yeah, the rumor is that there's a billion quarterbacks.
Like, is that something you think about?
You know, I don't think, you know, if I'm being fair to Jackson Dart, like,
I think his situation is different than Jaden Daniels.
Jaden Daniels to me seems like, and who would I rather have healthy?
I still am stuck on Jaden Daniels rookie tape.
I haven't seen a lot like it from a young player in this league.
Like, and obviously the ebbs and flows dictate that guys, you know,
they have sophomore slumps and the whole thing but like last year he got hurt and this year it's
much the same and you know i don't know how long he's going to be out but his elbow looked totally
fucked up um and and you know like i don't know if it's like a hyper mobility thing with him he has a
very unique wiry frame where darts a big kid you heard them talking about and i so i would take
if you guarantee me they're both healthy the rest of their career i'm taking jaden anials
then i don't expect everybody to say that because i think jack
and dart has looked really good of late, but like, I don't, I think the Washington
situation is more dire when it comes to like, what do you really expect the future to look
like for this Washington team if you're banking on this quarterback staying healthy?
They have a coach that's on the hot seat too, Chris.
So I think that kind of just adds to the urgency of feeling like, hey, we're kind of
in a must-win situation because that shit trickles down through the building, you know?
But I do think, you know, just to kind of comment on your point you made about the Giants potentially drafting a, you know, a quarterback in the first round coming up here in 2027 draft.
Like, first of all, it's a little too early to kind of figure that out.
Like we need the diagnosis.
We don't know.
The extent of injury and everything like that.
But let's say like hypothetically if DART is out for the season, like I think there is actually some merit to that.
You know what I mean?
I think it's certainly something that the Giants will explore if, you know, if it comes.
But the problem for me, and I know people are going to, people are, yeah, I'm bringing it up here because it's Tuesday.
And there's not much to talk about right now, relatively speaking, but like, you know, he's, he's gotten really actually hurt one time.
And he was in the air.
Yeah.
And somebody bent his knee back.
To me, to be fair to the kid, he's not injury prone yet.
He's blue tent prone because of the way he plays.
You know, and hey, listen, sometimes I question his, his self-control, right, out there on the field.
And, like, you'd rather say, woe than sick him in most situations for a football player,
but not when you're the franchise quarterback.
So, but with Jayden Daniels, his legs are part of the tantalizing aspect of having him be your quarterback.
Like, and I think he's beyond a good enough pocket pass or thrower of the football.
to where even if you took away the read option wrinkles and you just said,
hey, we're going to keep him in bubble wrap.
He'd be worth it, but it seems like he is injury prone.
And if I'm Washington,
I feel like we're a step closer to making that decision.
And I do think, now, Mario Ta has been a very respectable backup quarterback in this league,
like a guy that some people even think should get another shot.
Yeah.
At different points, people look, but he's kind of got that,
like he's he's kind of getting to that that uh like the steve spagnolo age you know where i'm
saying like where people are like hey as many good things i want to say about spags
they're not hiring a bunch of old coaches to be head coaches like i'm not calling spags old
he's probably the wrong the wrong example but todd munkin yeah like you know like most guys the
lu anorumo thing lou anorumo is the perfect example yeah i don't think a lot of people are gonna are
are going to think of Mary Otaugh as the answer anymore.
But I do think he's a hell of a backup quarterback to have.
He's got to be like top 30 quarterbacks in the NFL.
Easily, easily, I think.
And maybe I shouldn't be so emphatic with the easily.
But the point is he could win them some games this year.
And same with James and the whole thing.
But like, I do think the commanders would be, depending on the severity of this injury,
I hate to say it, I think they would be well served to.
look at that that possibility especially as you put it cleaning house is likely if they go six
and 11 right which seems like their destiny yeah and i dude i'm kind of hesitant to ask you this even
but i don't take a win six games i didn't fucking i don't know we'll take a look at the schedule and
find out but this is something i saw today like all over you know the twitter and the the instagram
reels uh in the football sphere but i did think it was kind of interesting as just the reaction of
of the Washington offense, you know, right before the half when Jane Daniels gets hurt and just
kind of how, I don't know, blasé, the O line was going to halftime, like, no one, I don't know,
man.
I'm not touching that one because I'm just not touching that one because I don't know enough.
I didn't see it in real time.
I didn't see the sequence.
And like, for me to make that point, I'd have to believe that there was something irregular
going on in the locker room or between Jaden and the offensive line.
and, you know, I just don't know.
And I'll assume that what happened was it was the timing of when it happened and, you know,
the officials usher people away.
That's kind of where my mind went to.
I mean, yeah.
You know, I just can't figure out a reason that somebody wouldn't like Jaden Daniels.
And, you know, certainly not as often.
Unless you're wearing five at LSU, I guess.
Right.
You know, that's been his biggest PR thing.
Yeah.
Has been, you know, like people talking.
about the way his mom medals i don't like touching that because that's family and i'm a mama's boy
it's all right you know and and the other thing is the i think it i think his one big slip up
so far was that ls u thing but it's really it's innocuous it's stupid but it's innocuous like i can't
imagine somebody having a problem with jaden daniels plus the guy can flat play football so
you know there's a reason stepan digs is saying hey with one of my precious remains
years of good football I have because you're getting up to that age, I want to play in Washington.
You know, part of it is being home, but part of it is also Jaden Daniels and the attraction of
catching footballs from him. So I do, I just want to make my take clear. I'm a lot closer to
saying Washington has to look at the options available than I am New York. And I'll be fair to
Jackson Darden that way.
If he came back in the second game next year, there was something else.
But like, you know, anybody whose knee gets bent that way is getting dinged.
I think the, to label Jackson Dard injury prone is lazy.
I don't think that's, I don't think he is.
I mean, I think he's fucking tough.
And this is coming from, you know, somebody who kind of won me over a little bit, you know.
So the word is that, you know, the Washington's players didn't know he was hurt and came back out
when they realized he was hurt.
And I think a lot of people are seeing it second, third hand
and jumping to conclusions on it.
To me, like, you'd have to be an axe murderer
for your O-line not to come out and check on you
when you get hurt.
Yeah.
You know, and I just don't think Jaden Daniels is an ax murderer.

Let's see today.
What do we see on tape?
I watch a lot of tape today.
So you watch the Eagles offense.
I watched the Eagles offense.
I mean, dude, I was specifically trying to watch the interior of the Eagles
offensive line.
Obviously, you know, old news by now, but Landon Dickerson is on IR, bump Juergens out
to guard, and then Kendall over there playing center.
Tough matchup with Jeffrey Simmons, man, especially in that solid defense.
Like, dude, that's that wide nine that we played.
And he's a fucking dog, dude.
Like, you should have seen, I sent you the clip of the pick games where he was just
busting people up on those pick games.
games and rickshaying around like a fucking pinball in a kind of bowl in a china shop dude yeah i think
the thing that i'm so like just i'm watching the eagles run game and you know so much has been
made of mannion and the new coordinator and how it's you know it's been likened to shanahan and the
49ers that they're outside zone and stuff like that but like i didn't really see that as much
you know i see the same kind of uh a lot of you know gun runs like belly open quarterback
zone read and stuff like that um i think actually like the best thing that they did is uh you know
giving getting jalen like jalen played fucking great he had some key scrambles but even some of the
design like quarterback zone read stuff and critical moments uh they actually got a lot a lot out of that
i don't necessarily think that um the eagles run game was as bad as it looked on paper i guess
if that makes sense like i was looking at it was like 0.5 yards per carry
before contact through two weeks, which is bottom five, like, that's not good.
You know what I mean?
That basically means that the running backs are immediately getting contact once they get
the ball, you know, like they're getting half a yard before they're running into defenders.
But like, okay, you take kind of, you know, take a glance, take a step back, think about it, right?
Like, Sequin got hurt, I think on the first fucking play, he got a stinger.
He was out for basically the whole first half.
Yes.
That obviously hurts your run game.
And then, dude, it's a fucking 100.
50 degrees on the field like I'm watching this I'm like holy shit this looks like an absolute
physical battle in the interior this offensive and defensive line like guys are like you know how
it is when it's hot like that Chris like you're moving in mud man like there is nothing you can do
and then to me it really seem like a lot of the times the eagles are running in a bad looks so they're
in 11 and 12 personnel they're running into like seven eight man boxes and that tells me that you know
robert saw is really kind of selling out to to stop the run game you know what I'm
and when that happens you need your quarterback to step up and make a lot of plays in the past game
which is what fucking jalen hertz did you know so that's something that you can be happy with um
there's also a couple other things is like just you know watching the the interior line play with
kendall and um with jergi it just seemed like it's not easy to just bump out there and play
fucking guard out of nowhere you know what i mean so like small things like um the timing of coming
your job becomes a lot harder it gets harder the further you move away
from the center dude yeah but like timing on things like combo blocks like when to come off and get up to the second level like that stuff just didn't look as clean as it should um that's a small thing and and also just like little shit like stepping on each other's feet and stuff like that just kind of shows me that you're a little unfamiliar with uh i don't know like the cadence and rhythm of of some of these runs that um also like you know i don't want to you know dog people individually but i thought the
the tight ends really hurt the run game for the for the Eagles man like just not good blocking at the point of attack and if you want to run that wide zone like you really need to have a strong you need to have strong blocking on the edge like it's kind of a staple of it and obviously like Dallas Goddard got hurt at a certain point during this game so like that's a factor bottom line is a lot of different things like it wasn't as good as it needs to be I think I think the Eagles really need to commit to like these condensed formations out outside
zone and not go back to the security blanket of like running duo uh shotgun runs like belly open
like the inside run out of shotgun like i'm just not a fan you know like the flash you know split
zone we got the o line the flash come back it's like it doesn't work for them it hasn't worked man
for years now so it's like let's let's use these new let's use this new scheme to our advantage you said
half a yard before contact i pulled up a list that i believe to be accurate the number one team in the league
yards before contact for the running back is the Buffalo Bills 3.3.
That sounds like a typo.
The Los Angeles Rams 2.9.
San Francisco 49ers 1.8, Detroit Lions 1.8.
And I was told the Lions offense is just broken beyond.
They got three out of five of their offensive line or linemen missing.
And the bucks, surprisingly, are tied for fifth with 1.7 yards before contact.
I would say you got anything else on the offense because I did watch eagles defense a little
I fucking love smitty I fucking love that guy I mean he's awesome he's the man I thought jalen played
really good man um I want to see him get mckeye lemon a little more involved they've been doing like
these swing pass uh it's like a rPO kind of to him and it's like cumulatively lost like
fucking I don't know 17 yards uh I just want to see them kind of get him going I like the the wrinkles on
the kind of reverses to uh hollywood brown i think they got some good chunks out of that they ran that
that shit twice and i think they got like 20 yards total or something like that like i like that's kind
of thing that like you're right you're banging the inside zone like that'll work you know what i mean
um so it's good to see that kind of creativity coming off of it but i think you know i have a lot
of confidence in um you know jordan uh and lane i thought they played well but the interior's got to get
figured out a little bit the heart the thing that was really frustrating for me to watch is like they're
trying to run these outside zones and they cannot get any movement laterally on the three technique
you know and they're running the outside zone and granted it is geoffrey simmons who's fucking good as
hell um but it's other guys too you know what i mean so like i don't know if the center needs to do
a better job of hitting the hip and then climb me the backer you know what i mean um but like some of the
second level blocking um just wasn't good enough for well listen not not for nothing
Stoutland's gone.
Yeah.
You know, and some of the, you know, it goes beyond concepts.
When you get the run game coordinator has been there forever.
And, you know, it's the way that they coach sees run runs up.
So, you know, I'm not, listen, I'm not saying that the new guy, Cooper, the offensive line coach, is to blame or something like that.
But I'm saying like, you lost a giant in stout.
Yeah.
We lost a giant and stout, and I know a lot of it had to do with, allegedly, you know, control of the run game.
And so, you know, this is a new system.
It's two weeks, we're two weeks in.
They have deficiencies from personnel standpoint inside.
They've got O-Lyman playing out of position, you know, like.
Yeah.
But I think it's going to get better, you know.
You do.
You think, and you think a coordinator worth of salt will be able to adapt.
And the good thing, the thing that, you know, I wanted to see was Jay,
throwing the ball over the middle of the field
and all the things we harped about in the offseason.
I saw a stat.
This is like the fourth game in his career
that he's had over 10 passes attempted in the middle of the field
and five yards beyond a line of scrimmage.
And that to me, that's not baby steps.
What we've seen in the first two weeks,
he looks, he's growing by leaps and bounds.
And we're not saying he hasn't been great.
But last year, you know, Petulow had the thing looking like,
Like, flam, flam, go, go.
It was, it was hitch, hitch, hitch, hitch.
It wasn't ambitious.
And what I love about him, and that's why I don't want to sit here and harp on the interceptions.
And I wouldn't want to if I were his coach because I want him to let it loose.
You know, in the past, because he is a team guy, sometimes he'd be risk adverse, you know.
And I talk about, hey, we know he throws that beautiful outside.
the numbers deep ball and that to me is not a risky throw because he's got the accuracy to play
the sideline and and and put it right on the money the ambition i want to see is in the middle
of the field and i thought they were way more ambitious and that's awesome looking at their defense
the couple things that i i know a jomo is one of the most underrated interior
defensive linemen you see that one player's yeah over scuronsky yeah dude holy shit yeah it was a
a holy shit play. The type of play you're like,
damn, dude, what is, what does it feel like to do that? I mean,
he's a, he's a force, okay? I want to see Jalen Carter takeover games. I do.
Jalick's Hunt has an incredible feel for the game. That guy, you know, I was talking about the year
he was going to have in preseason. He's just, he's, he's got it. I already said it. He's got such
feel. Some guys play blocks really well, but maybe don't feel the game. He'll go up and under in the
run game. He'll stunt. He can anchor, set an edge. He's a crafty rusher. I really like Jailix
Hunt. He's playing his ass off. The safety position is a problem. Yeah. And that's the news item of
the day is Kenny Moore is in town. And Kenny Moore, we've been trying to pawn Kenny Moore on off on a few
teams that are having problems in the in the slot um you know i don't know if he's still got juice but i
like howie rose been taking a stab at it this could mean that coop's moving to safety that's what
yeah yep that's kind of what where my head goes to and so you know like from the eagle side of it i
thought they did a lot of good things you know that's a major gut check game but cam ward cam ward played
well and uh i look forward to seeing him stack these performances up you could see the titans run game
was actually, it's actually pretty decent.
I mean, like, they're going to be able to get some mileage out of that thing.
I thought they left a couple opportunities out in the field,
but I thought Cam played well.
I mean, the guy I heard about in camp and people are, you know,
it's the worst thing I've ever seen.
He's terrible.
He's regressed.
I didn't see that on Sunday.
So, you know, Titans fans, you got to be excited about that.
you take a great team like the Eagles to the wire.
You play with a lot of emotion.
The question for me is a team like that,
how do they follow up a game like that that goes to the wire
and might be seen as a moral victory a little bit?
How do you follow that up?
I trust Tennessee's coaches to have them ready to go this week.
So I also watch Brown's Bucks.
Listen, it's hard for me,
and I know that a lot of Bucks fans are disenchanted with Zach
Robinson already. I saw some creative concepts that I did not mind. And as, as evidence,
but when they run the ball, I mean, like, they, they, they, they bit off some chunks.
There's a lot of screens. There's a lot of underneath stuff. Sometimes, you know, the ambition
isn't there as much. And I kind of wonder if Zach Robinson, and I know this is your guy and you
just interviewed him and we all love baker but if he trusts him yet he's a great blocker he's a
great blocker but i i said this on the monday show i just don't think baker's played well he
hasn't played well in a year and i know that you know um ted hurst dropped that ball at the pylon
and if he catches that ball maybe it's a totally different conversation but the pick was abhorrent
you know they also had a bad gain well drop in the red zone like so everything's not lost if i was
if I was to
if I was to
you know do a buy
low sell high thing like
and I've kind of written off the bucks because as a team
they continue to make the same
mind
boggling mistakes.
They're just they reek of a poorly coached football team
and it sucks to see
and there's a lot of good football players on the team
but I see
evidence that it could turn around
but the quarterback has to play well.
Yeah. And the interior offensive line can't get bullied.
And, you know, I looked at the other side of the ball. And honestly, I know there's a lot of
bad play for the bucks defensively, but that's a game that you have to, you have to win on
offense. You leave points on the board in the red zone. You have the ball last. You have two
hours in the fucking tunnel to figure out what you're going to do with two minutes to go in the
football game. You come out and you don't get it done. And so, like, as much I want to put it on
defense and I think they have problems that I did not anticipate having them having.
I was I came away more impressed with Deshawn Watson.
Deshawn Watson was hooping.
Yeah.
Deshawn Watson looked a little bit like vintage Deshawn Watson throwing the football.
And you know, like we're going to have to talk about this guy if he continues to play this
way.
We're going to we're going to have to talk about him in a respectful light.
and you know it feels weird to do that but uh he played well and the other thing is this guy
spencer fano is going to play for a million years he's one of the best rookies i've seen yet this
season their left tackle the guys are fucking stud and uh so the the the browns are stacking a lot
of young talent but if de shan plays like he played this week not only they're tough out because
their defense, you know, there's not a lot of guys that are household names on that defense,
you know, Swessinger is one of the best linebackers in the game. Delpit's a great player,
but there's just not a lot of guys that you've heard of or no, but they play hard,
and, you know, they threw some wrinkles in there that gave the bucks trouble.
They're going to be a tough out for people week to week if Deshaun plays like that.
Yeah, I mean, he did play well, man.
Kind of hurts to say, I feel like it.
It hurts to say, but you got to say it.
Before, I mean, I watched a lot of their defensive tape.
I was focused specifically on Ruben Bain.
Curious to see kind of what your thoughts are.
I think Bucks fans are expecting a lot more out of him.
I just feel like you know how it is when you're a rookie man
and the things that were working in college, they aren't working.
You know, so you need to kind of expand your game.
You need to get comfortable to find some rushes at work.
And I think I was kind of anticipating him being a little bit like Brandon Graham as a rusher, you know.
that would have been what I was hoping for.
Right.
Hoping for.
And it just,
it feels like he's,
he's got a ways to go with his hand violence and timing.
That's to me what it feels like.
Now,
it wasn't all bad,
you know,
but he's a guy that I was expecting big things out of and I still am,
you know,
and curious to see what you think he needs to kind of,
you know,
take a little bit of a step.
Listen,
it's early.
You drafted him knowing that there were some questions.
questionable measurables and you know we all kind of took a stab at whether we thought they were going to be prohibitive the
the shorter arms or not um but honestly the thing that's jumped out to me is he doesn't look as sudden as i
thought he would yeah and you know for me i and i said this in the other show i need to see him become a
phone booth player and i brought up bg you know and the bg thing is
BG is a really good player of chicken.
BG is really strong.
But BG, even in the run game sometimes doesn't even put his hands on people.
He's olean people.
Ruben Bain needs to figure out how to play with angles, get tighter,
get in and out of the phone booth.
I don't think, you know, when he plays a Marius Mims,
who looks fantastic, he's going to have a long day.
but most tackles in this league, you can get by being crafty playing them.
It took me a year and a half to start to figure things out as a defensive lineman.
And that was hard as a high pick because you're under a lot of pressure.
He's feeling the pressure of being a first round pick.
You need to get that first one.
And he needs to have guys in the room.
And this is the thing I'm afraid of that can teach him.
D-line coaches are not all created equal.
And I don't know who the D-line coach is in Tampa,
but he's got a real project on his hands.
He can really help this kid.
Marcus West.
I don't know him.
But, you know, he's got to be able to give this kid some tools in his toolbox.
And I hope they're not trying to get him to play like everybody else
because he has a very unique body type.
And so what I see so far as a guy,
and it was really hot in Tampa on Sunday.
He looked tired at times.
you know, he looks like he's running quicksand at times, like play strength, play quickness, instincts.
It just takes time.
I don't know if he'll get there this year, judging by what I'm seeing now.
I do think, like, at some point, if he doesn't take a jump over the next couple weeks,
there's nothing wrong with the Rubin Bain of the future for the Bucks.
But like the backup, 51, had a beautiful rush and finish.
David Walker.
David Walker had a hell of a rush.
And guys start doing shit like that
and coaches jobs are on the line.
Like they don't play the high pick.
They're going to start playing the guys
that are making the plays.
And so I'm not giving up on Ruben Bain.
It's two weeks in,
but is he going to be an immediate factor guy?
Like, I don't know.
And is he going to be a rookie of the year?
Like I bought the ticket on that for, you know,
I sprinkled a little bit on Ruben Bain
plus 500 or whatever.
whatever was to win defensive worker the year.
I was over my skis looking at his tape in camp.
And this is the thing where we look at tape and camp out of context.
And damn, some of those one-on-one rushes in camp,
some of the joint practice reps,
some of the reports out of Tampa were so good.
You kind of get caught in the hype.
He has not looked like the best edge guy in this class.
And, you know,
it's going to take some time.
Yeah.
I mean, and you know how it is when you're a rookie man.
Eventually, you get some experience and the game slows down for you a little bit.
You know, when you're saying he's not as sudden as you thought, like, I couldn't agree more.
I think some of that can be attributed to just, you know, rookie thinking and, you know,
trying to be in the right places and do the right things.
Sometimes you just got to go.
I want to see him.
I want to see him.
I want to see him use the long arm.
I want to see him use the long arm.
You know, your boy got a lot of mileage.
out of that thing.
Yeah.
And I didn't have elite play strength.
I had not T. Rex arms, but not long arms.
But I, I didn't have great play strength.
You know, I was quick.
I was explosive, but I didn't have the throw you around strength.
But when I could sink that long arm in and play with the right angles and the right
timing on that thing, you know, like, I move guys.
And, and that's, he can do that.
He's plenty strong to be able to bulrush people in this.
league, but you have to be able to do it from a three-quarter sideways body position.
And you have to do it, giving, not giving up surface.
And that's what the long arm does.
The long arm gets you sideways.
So there's no surface to punch.
You have leverage.
And you're stronger that way.
And your arms are longer that way.
Your levers are longer.
So to me, I hope he starts working on getting tighter, working a tilt track,
sinking a long arm, being a rookie's hard, being a rookie pass rushers hard.
a totally different game. The athletes are so big and so long. I mean, like, that to me was like
everybody I played my rookie year felt like I remember playing Jeff Otaugh. He ended up not playing
a long time in the NFL because of injuries or something, but he had like an elite offensive tackle
profile, dude, just massive long arms, big, strong. He was nasty too. We played him. We'd be
the dog shit out of pit.
But there were two guys on that team, Ota and Shady, where I was like, damn, these guys
are going to be incredible.
And the Ota kid, because you're used to playing like ACC tackles.
You know, like everybody's got a deficiency.
And all of a sudden you play the guys that have no weaknesses.
And everybody in the NFL is like that, it just becomes harder.
And you have to teach yourself how to win those rushes.
So I'm very empathetic to a guy through two games that doesn't quite know what he's doing.
And I'm certainly not painting my first two games to look like that.
They weren't great, but I had a long way to go.
This is like I don't see it yet drawn from experience.
So I've been there as a first round pick.
The pressure starts to mount where I had a homeless guy fucking outside the stadium.
Asked me how many sacks I had like seven games into the season.
I said four or something like that or three.
And the guy said, he went from asking me for money to like,
fuck you, man.
At least I got a job.
No, dude.
I was like, golly, dude.
It's that number.
That how many sacks do you have?
As long as he's got the goose egg, the pressure is going to feel like.
And he's just got to fall into one, man.
Yeah.
One thing I've learned since retiring has been, it's hard to keep your
weight on like it just we work so hard as NFL players i was training you know hours a day um just to
keep my strength up just to keep my muscle mass up to stay healthy i don't have that kind of time anymore
i got three kids i got a couple jobs i got i just don't have that kind of time anymore and my body
can't take the beating that he used to in the weight room so you know to get the same amount out
of workouts i used to to to do at two x intensity
you need help.
And for me,
create gummies have been that little boost.
You know,
I started taking Create,
and I really never took Creatine
when I played.
After I played,
I started taking it,
and the easy use,
obviously just being able to pop them in,
you know,
not have to mix a powder
in a shaker,
that sort of thing,
which, as you all know,
can be a pain.
Oh, where's my shaker?
I got no,
I got no clean shakers.
Oh, no.
I got nothing to mix it with.
I got to pack shakers on the road when I travel.
No, I'm not going to do that.
I got my gummies.
And I have noticed a big difference in the way I recover, the way I keep my muscle mass on.
I feel like at this point, and maybe this is just something I made up in my head, but I feel like I'm, I look as good as I looked when I played sometimes.
Like I'm almost 260 pounds.
That was like almost my playing weight.
and I'm leaner.
And certainly, I don't think I can take on a pulling guard, but I feel good.
Like, nobody's looking at me at the beach and being like, what the f happened to that guy?
Nah, not with create gummies.
They're like, oh, that guy still trains.
So definitely helps, like, keep the muscle mass on, keeps you looking, feeling good.
And as important as anything is the cognitive benefits.
You know, so recovery, cognitive benefits, like keeping your,
muscle mass on the whole thing. And, you know, recovery takes longer my 40s than I used to for sure,
especially in the summer when I'm depleted, dehydrated, the whole thing. I'm slamming water,
and I'm eating, I'm eating create gummies. And so, you know, you think about training camp,
I kind of wish, training camp time, I kind of wish I was taking, creating in training camp back
when I played, you know, but it helps me now doing all the things I'm doing in retirement. So,
better late than never i'm loving creatine and i'm loving create gummies before we move on real quick
i mean how like i don't know how much of a conversation we need to have about this but like i'm surprised
with some of these teams that are owing to dialogue oh yeah yeah so like i mean who are you buying who are you
selling yeah and like how concerned should you be if you're you know the chargers versus the box versus the
I'll tell you this right now.
I think that's an interesting convo that I'd like to have with you, my buddy, Chris.
I make no bones about it.
Of all the O and two teams, Texans are easily the best one.
You know, people want me to be worried about the Texans.
They love to be like, hey, gotcha.
You like that team.
They're no good.
They started O and three last year.
They were three and five at one point.
Like, if you look back at the way the Texans played the Seahawks in that prime time game,
They played so fucking bad.
They almost won that game.
That team ends up being the Super Bowl champion.
Seattle Seahawks is we now know them,
conference champions and Super Bowl champions.
I mean, my only argument against that,
dude, the Texans are owing to.
I don't think the Bengals didn't even look good
when they played them the other day, man.
Are you serious?
I don't think the defense did.
Well, actually, Jamar Chait just touched.
Well, don't you think that has something to do with the Texans defense?
even down a linebacker.
Yeah, you're right.
And working a new safety in the rotation.
They're not fully realized yet.
I think what I'm saying is I expect the Bengals to keep like the keep playing better and better.
Maybe the only thing I'm holding against the Bengals so far is who they played.
And I think the Texans are really good.
But in the same breath, they're missing Nico Collins.
And they just manned them up and guys couldn't get separation.
Here's the thing about the Texans that I said on Monday.
And I'll say it again.
And this is why when you at home.
home are like gotcha analyst i knew the texans were going to suck which they don't you told me
the texans are going to suck because of c j stroud c j stroud has played really well through two
weeks if you don't think so you haven't watched the games he has been really good he's looked a lot
closer to being the the guy from the first year than the guy from last year or the half year before that
So to me, like if he looked like the same guy, I might be walking the take back.
But all they need him to be at some point is league average.
Listen, they couldn't run the ball last year.
And all he had to be was league average.
And they would end up in the bowl.
He looks good this year.
At some point to get Tank Dell back.
They're going to get Nico Collins back in a week probably.
I think he probably missed another week.
They look totally different without him.
Does that concern me?
Absolutely. Does the offensive line look kind of dog shit at times in the run game they do?
But I got to feel like they'll look at that tape Sunday and take something from it.
And I think you take from that tape, the Bengals defense is actually for real.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think the Bengals look really good. So if I'm, I think the, I think the Texans and Texans play the Colts this week.
I think that's actually a relatively tough matchup for the Texans because I think the Colts are going to
run the ball on them. I think one relative weakness
for the Texas is the interior
defensive line. I don't think the
interior defensive line scares anybody.
And I think with a
backup linebacker out there, like, that's
going to be a long day for them.
The cults are respectable,
but I don't know that they're going anywhere this
year. They look pretty good. I mean,
yeah, I agree with you. That
Alec Pierce injury is a little concerning.
The Pierce injury is killer, dude.
And the pressure's
mountain on Shane and, you know,
like I would put them one to five level of panic three I put the Texans like one point five I put I put the Colts like maybe three because you know um good luck catching lightning in a bottle like last year sauce gardener hadn't won a game in the domestic US since December 15th the 2024 is a crazy stat crazy stat uh
the chargers i'm fuck the chargers to me like show me and then i'll talk about you in that light i'm not
talking about the chargers in that light anymore dude you send me that some of the mailbag questions
and one of them is like a preseason take you'd like to have back i put the rams and the chargers
in the super bowl just because i was like it's in l a like the script it's all dialed up you know man
the chargers i'm just frustrated watching them man
Just to make you feel better, I don't think you're alone and the Super Bowl picks are kind of throwing darts.
So I'm not going to judge you on that.
I'm going to act like I didn't hear that.
What's the concern level for the chargers that are owned to?
You said like, you know, zero five.
If they didn't have a brutal schedule going forward.
Bro, they're stretch right now.
I was looking at this because I don't know why, but I watch a fuck ton of charters tape today, bro.
Because they're an enigma?
Yeah, Bill's Seahawks, Broncos, Chiefs, Rams, Texans, Ravens.
Yeah, they could be, Harbaugh could be axed by mid-season.
Yeah.
You went from, holy shit, they're going to be a wagon.
You know, we felt for the guy with the Capri pants.
And, you know, now I kind of feel like it's a terrible fit for Justin Herbert, who hasn't shown me enough.
And yeah, like we talked about this ad nauseum on Sunday.
toolsy as fuck but like and he wasn't the only thing wrong with that team on sunday far from it
like there were comedy of errors but i am getting to the point now where i'm kind of like you know
i don't know if he's got that gene between the time the ball snapped and he lets the ball go
where he sees the field like everybody else um or all the other i'm not talking about him with the
elite guys any like not that i have in the last year he's got elite tools but he can't be in that
club he just can't be like i'm not saying he's a bottom 10 quarterback or something like there's nothing
wrong with you can still win with justin herbert at some point but can you win the big ones i don't know
he's got to show me that um and injury concerns too for the chargers man they had two tie-downs go down
and fuck james left the game and it's not good dude it's not good for the chargers i would say
you know there's not you look at the the nfc i command
There's, it's not good.
Falcons, lottery pick.
You know, like, Pennix is coming back this week.
I think there's going to be a very, in the most fucked up way,
this Thursday night game is going to be interesting.
Okay.
I would say bucks, they're hovering somewhere because of the division they're in.
they're hovering somewhere in the threes where the charges are like a four
yeah charge is like a four and a half i mean the bucks climbing though man like they got they got the
fikes they got the packers the panthers are looking good the saints look fucking good against the
ravens dude dude dude and you know it's good to get a win every once in a while in this
show i tell you'll get a tiny little i don't take a tiny little victory lap on that one and i think
the Jets ironically when you talk about like teams that could have surprised people if they weren't
being coached the way they are from a game management perspective they might be two and oh
I might be sitting here talking about oh maybe they're a surprise wildcard team but that coach
Aaron Glenn this weekend was awful and you know cost them a game so uh yeah like am I selling a two and
team. I mean, no one's, it's not a hot take to think the Raiders might not be as good as their
record is. And you know, I love the Vikings. I picked them to go to the playoffs. I don't think
they're one of the best teams in the league. It's still a total question to me, who's going to
play, I know Kyler's going to play quarterback this week and he's healthy, but like, what's that
look like? We saw two drives. The first one ended in an arm punt. You know, like, and
So I mean, Fool's Gold.
I don't know.
The Niners could always be Fool's Gold because the whole damn team could get hurt.
But other than that, they look fucking like a wagon.
So, you know, like I don't really have a hot take for you there.
Time for an America's team.
And then we got, we got, we got one or two mailbags that I want to want to get to a little show and tell.
Hell yeah.
You got one?
America's team?
Sure.
Let me start with the fucking easiest American's team I've done in a while.
That's old miss, baby.
I've been out on college football, but like just seeing them beat LSU and all the memes and all the shit talking from the players and stuff like that.
Like that's something America can kind of rally behind, you know.
I think everyone kind of wanted that, right?
A little comeuppance for Lane Kiffin.
So that's my first American's team.
Give me, what year was it when James Winston got drafted?
Hold on one second.
2014, 2015.
Oh, damn.
that old. Yeah. America's team,
2015 backup quarterbacks.
Five. Mario Ta. Well, I also had old missed.
Like, we had the same one.
Everybody loves to see Lane Kiffing get beat once or twice.
But yeah, dude, how about yesterday we had America's Game of the Week.
Two days ago, we had America's Game of the Week. It was Cowboys, Washington.
Everybody's like, no, it's not. Like, we get it.
They're the two biggest markets.
Two other biggest markets and, you know, they're probably primetimeed out.
Like, I haven't even looked how many primetime games the commanders and the giants have combined.
But like now we're probably going to see a whole bunch of the same characters that we're used to seeing pop up on our TVs.
We get, we get James and we get and we get Mario Ta.
And there actually could be a lot worse at backup quarterback.
Like they are former starters and they actually, you know, elevate your offense.
They're more, they're more risk, they're more risk tolerant than most backup
quarterbacks.
And that's fun.
Yeah.
I, my, so I was on, dude, we're on the same wavelength, brother.
I had backup.
That was a American team is the second team.
Next man up, baby.
There we go.
That's good.
Fuck, man.
I mean, there was a ton of them.
Gardner, one chew versus Drew Locke at one point.
That was a fun one to watch.
Cooper Rush was playing a little bit.
Marriota,
Tyler Badgett.
Yeah,
Beijing,
yeah,
and honestly like,
Carson Wentz.
He had him at the doorstep.
We had Carson Wentz out there.
Like,
it is this sport,
there's a lot of fucking injuries,
man.
And early in the season,
you have to see how teams,
I think Seattle has looked incredible
with Drew Locke.
Like,
I don't want to say,
like they look like a wagon
or Sam Darnels in trouble.
But like what I'm saying is,
I just respect so much
the organizational fortitude that they have.
Organizational fortitude.
I love that phrase.
That's right.
You just come up with that right now?
Yes.
On the spot.
Put that on a fucking Seahawks T-shirt, dude.
Well, they have it.
They have it.
When you think of like adult programs.
Yeah.
Where like, you know, and, you know, it's old hat.
People talking about speaking of old hats, old hats.
Dude, you're on one right now.
I love this.
It's, it's old hat to, you know, to talk about the Seahawks or, you know,
the Seahawks are the quietest championship team ever and the whole thing part of that is because
they're all the way up there in fucking Vancouver but they also have a lot of like they have stars
that don't act like stars and uh it starts with jess and and leonard and biron and those guys on
defense and you know like they just don't they're you know you you don't hear anything about
them and you know they lose sam darnold in the first half of the first football game of the season
and their offense goes down to Arizona in a game that could be sleepy as hell for a lot of teams.
And they like those guys up in the second half.
They make their adjustments.
They go out there and they pull away.
And Drew Locke's been really impressive.
So, okay, those are America's teams this week.
We got backup quarterbacks.
We got old miss.
Organizational fortitude.
It's good.
You either have it or you don't, bro.
Yeah.
That sounds like I'm a band name, bro.
I love that.
That is pretty good, actually.
It's a segue into a video I wanted to show you.
Sorry about Sean Payton and me is my first year.
I like Sean a lot.
He, uh, I'm not his biggest.
He's, he's not my biggest fan.
Why?
So the first year and so we play them our first game.
And so like, you know, I'm like, you know, whatever.
So fans watch, they, you know, fans will like tape or,
like post plays from training camp on Twitter.
Uh-huh.
And so it's like public.
Right.
So we took like 100 plays from their training camp.
Good for you.
We're like scouting them, you know.
And like, anyways, he got wind of it.
And he like lost him.
It's like middle of the season.
And like, and we won the game.
So like, and we were in the fight like our first year.
We were trying to.
There's a lot of going on.
And so he called Johnny basically like threatened to come out publicly and do it like a whole
Patriot like spy gate type of thing yeah I'm sitting there like oh my god like we didn't cheat
like that like you know we thought it was a Michigan thing or we had a plant and the whole
thing and we're like so we had to like counter with him to no really say like hey look if you
come out of this like we're gonna sue you because it's not true you know right
and did you ever did you ever talk to him so he like he backed down but he was like
killing John or GM and uh John was telling me like dude did you I'm like dude no like what
are you crazy like I'm not we're not that's not how we do business you
know and so anyway so the season ends and he he let it go and but it was it was
like it was like it was like it was like the Cold War he was I'm gonna hit the
button right we're gonna hit the button why we're gonna hit the button and so
then I went for a run at the combine and so I'm literally getting out of the elevator
at the Marriott there in Indy and like sure as soon as I open the door like at the
floor that I'm at like here he comes in and like I'm I was kind of like you know
like over him and he's like hey coach you know totally totally back down in that moment oh did he
oh man that's great that's such a defensive coach's like mentality like trying to big dog him
coming out of the elevator he did he did kind of but like how about he was kind of like oh well
Peyton didn't want that smoke here's the funniest part about well first I want to know
is that supposed to be off camera like you know kind of look like that was like uh like cutting
room floor stuff or like yeah he was giving some like backroom casting couch kind of vibes you know grand grand
messenger would never do that to somebody so i i'm sure they cleared it with mike yeah and which is even
funnier that like that because mike definitely he's not going to tell that story not wanting it out right
it's kind of like poking sean payton yeah which is funny to me but also really brilliant and
common sense to use the plays that you have from
training camp that are available to you online like there's so much of that now and uh it kind of
reminds me you know it's like it's not spygate adjacent at all no like at all dude like this is
totally in also Sean Peyton of all people you know what I mean like being accusatory like
come on what do you mean like come on what happened there like you think he's that's that's all
that's all that's say like come on this fucking guy shop pay what happened there he thinks
him thou doth protest too much shan i just found out what that means
the lady doth protest too much i didn't know what that ever meant yeah that's
shakespeare chris come on educate yourself shake these nuts boat fucking that dude might
he might he might btano's such a likable guy like just that little so likable bro like he
seems like such a normal guy and he's like kind of laughing at himself a little bit he's like you know
World War, threaten each other with fucking lawsuits and shit laughing about it.
You know what he's got, though?
He's got that superpower, emotional intelligence.
Leaders that have that, coaches that have that, I heard him recently talk to some of his mistakes.
You know, like his leadership shortcomings early on as a coach.
Like, Hard-oh head coaches that can't communicate or like, there's a place for those guys.
They've won a lot of games in this league, but like increasingly so.
It's really important to have a coach that is self-aware and who's man enough to talk about things that he doesn't do right.
You know, like Sean McFay this week was like, I fucked up.
Yeah, that was fine.
I fucked the travel up.
Like, what are you going to do?
Shoot me.
I'm a Super Bowl winning head coach.
It helps to have that, you know, that on your resume.
But I guess that's my point is like, and the irony is, I thought Pete Carroll was one of those guys.
he was he was like the first boomer coach to like really get it from that and Seattle had him
and now you've got Mike and I just thought that was an interesting clip yeah that wasn't interesting
man and then like it's kind of strange that the thought of doing that like never like that never
really crossed my mind you know it's such a competitive advantage that's it is a competitive advantage
and you know organizational fortitude man and there might be nothing to it it might be really hard
as a coach to find like
tendencies or concepts
from practice, but like,
you know, and especially if the practice is open
to the public,
you kind of assume everything you're running
is for public consumption.
When I was in St. Louis and you remember
the whole Spygate thing. Yeah.
In St. Louis, they don't like that very much.
We practice next to a hotel,
like an extended state kind of hotel
where a lot of the guys that didn't,
that were, you know, practice squad guys or whatever,
lived um that's where you were staying when you were uh on your way out and those no
highlighter jersey i wasn't roughen it dude i was actually like i'm not complaining about my
circumstance i fucking lived at the ritz carlton for two months that a boy you just i sold i sold my
place and like i was like this is kind of tight i kind of want to live at a hotel forever yeah but um
but yeah no this is like a jewelry in type place was not bad either but it was or it was courtyard
marriette whatever those extended stays place but but
But, you know, on the side of the practice facility, there was these, like, giant poles.
And they were, like, flanking the hotel and then, like, two in the middle.
And they were, like, 100 foot tall poles.
And there were sometimes, like, they had these screens connected to them.
And, you know, I'm not talking about, like, TV screens.
I'm talking about, like, nets that you can't really see through.
Yeah.
And I was like, where did that come from?
They were like, you know, they put those in after the Super Bowl.
after what the pads did they put those in because they suspected that people were staying in those hotels and getting intel on little little rams then what was in our playbook
were you guys a record that year it wasn't very good now now you remember in 17 we're in the super bowl
yeah and we were walking through at the stadium when we were running fake plays
bro i didn't even realize that until people started talking about it like years later you know what i mean
dude because they thought people were camped out in the stadium somewhere yeah the paranoia i love all that
cloak and dagger shit though like dude sometimes when i watch games and i see the fucking oc's like call
plays like this i'm like yo are you telling me they really have a fucking lip reader on staff
for the yeah yeah yeah the Tampa bay bucks like or the bengals like a notoriously cheap you know
organization like they're paying some dude six figures a year to fucking read lips come on
fucking lamello ball meets meet some other NBA player at mid court like and they're like yeah yeah
what do you get into after the game bro this is my reading rainbow shirt check that out
you got to read i do uh yeah yeah okay and and then i got one more show and tell video for you
i love dude this is my favorite part part of the day man show and tell
I got this.
You started out.
I'm to smell what I'm smelling from the crowd.
I'm going to be hunting some scotcheroos later in this broadcast.
Did Kevin Harlan get hotboxed at SoFi Stadium?
Bro, run that back.
God, I love Kevin Harlan.
Kevin Harlan get hot.
What I'm smelling from the crowd.
I'm going to be hunting some scotcharoos later in this broadcast.
Did Kevin Harlan get hotboxed at Sofi Stadium?
Sofi Stadium.
Amonchi?
Wow.
I mean, like, we need
ventilation for this call
is going to get a little distorted here in the
final stages of this game.
Well, sometimes think you're distorted
anyways.
Yeah, I know they do. I know they do.
They have no idea.
He scooted right
there. He scatabooed for eight.
It'll be second down in two.
Scataboo? Yeah, just
I'm kind of like scottibood. I'm telling you,
it's the, it's the, it's the
We got Caddibus and Scotcharoos.
Yeah.
We got it all.
43-yard line here's James with a pair of something.
First to get, 810 clock kicking.
Not to be clear, Kevin Harlan, one of my favorite of all time,
the one-time voice of the Timberwolves, but this was hilarious.
Thank you, Kevin Harlan.
You make every game 10 times more entertaining.
Hotboxed or not.
Bro.
So here's what I'm trying to find out.
Well, shout out to Pat McAfee for making it acceptable for, like, media members to, you know, talk about marijuana. Chris.
Yeah, that's good.
Crazy, you know, to do that to, like, smoke on air or anything.
Like, what kind of fucking amateur, like, would do that?
I don't know who would do something like that.
That's a fucking cop.
That's embarrassing, dude.
So, so, so, yeah, the, the press box.
Can I tell you a Kevin Harlan story really quick?
quickly sure is that this wedding this summer okay fucking meeting a lot of people
little fucked up there's a lot of shit going on all right it was a big venue lots of guests
there me uh i meet uh broadcaster named kevin i'm like oh i'm such a huge fan of your work
really love your voice you got the voice of an angel like i'm gassing him up
meanwhile i met him before it was fucking kevin burkhart and i was talking about kevin harling the
entire time dude and i left and i was just like
man i completely botched that entire interaction it was just embarrassed about it all no but kevin burkhart left
and was like kevin burkhart was like damn dude i'm pretty good no but i like i i was very clear
that i was talking about the wrong person oh i was like yeah you're uh i was like yeah you're man
yeah it dude that's so bad dude i'm getting about it man yeah that's so bad i uh i can't even tell you
how bad that is like how like how I would probably not I would probably not go out in public for a while
after that um well Kevin Harlan's the man and I'm looking at the um where the Rams radio uh press
boxes and like I guess there's no cheap seats in that building but I do figure like there's some
people sparking up if he's smelling that and not to be naive but like like you're
Are people on the gas in NFL stadiums right now?
Probably, bro.
Did you see all that shit about the U.S. Open?
There were like,
oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
There was like stoppage of play during the tennis matches
because the tennis players,
I can't remember who exactly it was,
but they were complaining about how distracting the weed smell was.
I was like, you're in New York City, bro.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I guess people are lighting up there.
And so I wrote a short list of play-by-play guys that I would want to get high with.
Media members I want to get high with.
Number one.
Howie long.
No, I'll extend this to all media members on another show.
We'll do that this next week.
But like just football play-by-play guys.
Let me get in on this.
Hold on.
I got a fucking, yeah.
I actually drank at a bar with Gus Johnson once.
As an aside, like I was staying at the Ritz Carl.
Wow. Again.
Bro, you like Royal Tenenbaum? You're just fucking living out of hotels?
No, dude. I was on like, that's where you got to stay when you, when you travel sometimes,
like at a hotel. So I was staying at the Ritz Carlton in L.A. No, I don't, I think it might have
been the four seasons. And I went down to the bar and started drinking like later at night. And it
was just me. And I look over to my right and there is Gus Johnson. We're like the only people
with the bar. It was like an off night. It wasn't like a Saturday or and I was like, are you Gus Johnson?
And when I tell you, he was the coolest fucking guy. We probably had like four to six beers.
I don't know what he was drinking. I had four to six beers. And he is totally different off the air.
Let me just tell you. Let me tell you something. It's like, and I don't know if this is going to go
over well, but like it's kind of like the Wayne Brady situation. Ah.
Do you know the Wayne Brady skit, the Chappelle show?
Oh, dude, that's an all-timer.
Of course I do.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Angel dust.
That's kind of what it reminded me.
He's just a totally different cat off, off air.
But Gus Johnson was cool.
And then.
Are you saying it's like the reverse of the Wayne Brady skit or what do you know?
Wayne Brady was so much more like like.
So you're saying he was not quite as polished off air.
No, like Gus Johnson's like.
fucking he's one of the dudes.
So,
so, yeah.
So he's top of your list.
No.
Although I actually would like to smoke with Josh Johnson.
Yeah, what?
He should be it.
He's not top of my list.
Number one on my list is actually Mike Torrico.
Hmm.
I think Mike Tarrico would have the giggles like a motherfucker.
Yeah.
I think Mike Tariko.
Bro,
how's it taking us this long to do a segment like this?
This is fucking.
Well, here we are.
Genius.
Yeah.
I would say Joe Buck,
but I don't want people to think that I think that
I think he smokes pot because I know Joe Buck
and I don't know anything. I don't know
if that and I've been around Joe Buck.
I've been around Joe Buck high.
Let me tell you what would not want to smoke with Chris.
I would not want to smoke with Chris Collinsworth.
No, I kind of think I
I kind of think I would want to smoke pot with Chris Collinsworth, dude.
Really?
I think he could be pretty funny.
You know, I could, I'd want to get him high
and then make him justify the PFF bullshit.
I would, you know, I'd be like, take two big rips of this bong, buddy.
And then we're going to talk PFF.
I want you to specify, though, like what kind of smoking instrument you'd want, like,
you'd want to smoke a blunt with Gus Johnson, maybe.
I don't know, just kind of, that seems appropriate to me.
I have smoked a rock cone, just like normal.
Rock, with Gus Johnson.
But you want to smoke a blump or a bong with Colin.
I'd smoke a rock cone with Toriko.
I just feel like I'd want to hit Collinsworth with like, like, um, like a real fucking
I'd want to hit him in the head with it.
You know, a big bong rip.
You know what I mean?
Like, just get him just stuck, dude.
I think it'd be fun.
I do not think it'd be fun to smoke with Jim Nance, actually.
I don't know why that is.
I think Jim Nance would get paranoid as fuck.
I think it would be super uncomfortable.
Is it better to smoke with the color guy or the,
it's better to probably usually smoke with the color analyst.
Yeah. And if we're extending things to the color analyst, then like, I mean that, well, the short answer is obviously you want to smoke with the sideline reporter, right?
Um, who's on your short list? Tracy Wolfson.
Right.
You want to smoke pot with Tracy Wolfson?
Yeah.
Listen, John Gruden is, he's a long way away from, from the booth now.
Um, and I know he did an indefensible thing in an email and, um,
but I'd be lying to you if I didn't if I if I said I wouldn't want to smoke pot with
John Gurd.
I got an answer for you.
Tony Rama.
Oh, Tony Romo.
He probably needs it for his back.
I mean, Tony, I got a better alternative.
The other guy is, is Al Michaels.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I just, he would last five minutes, dude.
He would be asleep.
He would go to bed.
Al Michaels would go to bed.
He'd go to sleep with a joint his hand, dude.
How about this?
Picture this.
Picture this.
Red zone with green zone with Scott Hanson.
Oh.
I feel like where we too just.
We hop box him.
We hop box him and he's got to still guide us through the 4 p.m. slate.
It's kind of what happens here at the studio.
Yeah.
This is what happens here in my man cave on.
Sundays. I'm like, hey, get me the EPA. Get me the EPA on. And read Nolan are like,
shh. Anyways, I don't, yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not, I'm not endorsing it. But I would
like to get stone with a couple of these guys. We'll, we'll extend this to members of the media
next week and maybe do a follow up if people think this was interesting. But, but I just can't get
Kevin Harlan out of my head and obviously he'd be one of the first ones.
Yeah.
Just imagine sitting there and you're just listening to him.
Just narrate.
Whatever the fuck he's thinking about.
He's just, he's just murdering Doritos after the game in the little lounge where they have
all these snacks.
They're like, what the fuck is going on, dude?

This is from Adderberry.
Commissioner Long picked three new international cities for NFL.
exclude the travel more about culture and fans i think we're talking about like a like a place to
see a game not for a franchise yeah yeah like dude we got paris we got brazil yeah we got
what are the other fucking dust germany germany germany
mexico leon london london so okay i'm assuming those are we haven't been to china
I mean it we haven't been to China where in China do you want to play an NFL football game
fuck dude anywhere dude could you imagine what about Singapore I'm not familiar enough with the
geography hold on how about playing a game in the forbidden city yeah I was gonna say Japan bro I feel
like they did an NFL Japan thing a while ago didn't quite forbidden city dude like imagine a game in
Tokyo. Can you imagine now it's kind of in the name like we probably can't do it but there
looks to be enough space inside the forbidden city but that's actually in China. Bo you said Japan.
That's in that's in China. So yeah, I would say forbidden city football game in China would be incredible.
And oh my gosh. No, I'm going with Tokyo though. That's my answer. That's a chalky one.
The other one, I want them to play a game right next to the, the pyramids.
You know how Grateful Dead had a show at the pyramids?
Yeah.
Can you imagine they play a game at the pyramids?
Now, I know probably would be security concerns right now playing a game in Egypt.
So maybe that's for another, another day.
We're just daydreaming.
Give me.
All right.
You ready for this one?
hit me the coliseum i know it's too small i know they don't have enough room in there but i have a
a solve we just do inside run there we do inside run inside the coliseum bro like we do the eagles
just nine on seven eagles defensive line and like the 49ers or something like that like you know
just give me the the most dynamic fronts and do an inside run tournament
in the Coliseum fill it with people inside run at the Coliseum.
I mean, if we're going to get, you know, go back to the roots of fucking gladiatorial sports, man.
I think that makes sense.
Harkin back to the fucking.
Could you imagine?
Yeah, I would like that.
Could you imagine seeing like the Greg Roman 49ers running power and like, you know, like,
I don't know. Jalen Carter, like you bring back any offensive.
Man, like just to see an inside run period at the Coliseum would be incredible.
And that's it for our show.
See you later this week.
Felt like a good one, Chris.
Yeah, take care.
Okay, quick drop in after we recorded pro football talk.
posted a blog titled Mike McDonald's comments about Sean Payton weren't intended for public consumption, posted September 22nd, 8.09 p.m.
In it, PFT reports that the Seahawks did not even know that that portion from the Bessinger and Mike McDonald conversation, they did not know that it had been recorded until Tuesday morning.
The full video was out Monday. I'm outraged.
yeah
the Lord's media is a sham gross
that's crazy
personality smoking weed on air
yeah the question is like
who released that though that's what
that came from passengers
camp that is so
fucking low down dude
yo that is very low down
I don't want to go into
you know like a big soapbox thing
and sound like Kyle Brandt about the Madden curse
but I'm outraged
I really, dude, I'm a little bit outrage because, like, when we invite a guest on the show,
yeah, it, like, the last thing, like, I couldn't even imagine, dude, I'd probably fire that person into the sun.
Yeah, into the sun.
Yeah, dude.
Mike McDonald is taking time, Super Bowl winning coach is taking time out of his day to, I guess Graham went to his house.
Yeah, I was wondering where they.
were, dude.
Are they in Graham's house?
Hold on a second.
Whose house is that?
Chris.
Whose house is that, Bo?
I have no idea.
I thought it was a hotel or something.
It looked like a studio.
I like the furniture, honestly.
It's one of two things, Bo.
This is why I'm outraged.
Mike McDonald's Super Bowl head coach,
either took time out of his day
to drive somewhere
and be interviewed or invited
this crew
into his home.
And Graham Bessinger is a cool ass dude.
You see him at Whole Foods all the time.
I'm sure he had nothing to do with it.
But whoever leaked this is like,
they can't be near sports anymore.
Like, how does this happen?
Yeah, I don't really understand.
But Mike shouldn't be saying that.
Mike, you have to assume.
I like the way he came across in that interview.
I'm not even like, he was like,
oh, he seems like a very normal football guy.
Like,
I was surprised that he was like swearing though and they were kind of playing that so that does I don't know that makes sense you know and the fucking angle was weird dude that's super fucked up man so anyways we just wanted to tell you this shows over now yeah yeah watch it one more time throw it back up there watch it one more time I like Sean a lot he uh I'm not his biggest he's
he's the lights aren't on his fan oh why so the first year and
So we play them our first game.
And so like, you know, I'm like, well, you know, whatever.
So fans watch, they, you know, fans will like tape or like post plays from training camp on Twitter.
And so it's like public.
Right.
So we took like 100 plays from their training camp.
Good for you.
We're like scouting them, you know.
And like, anyways, he got wind of it.
And he like lost him.
It's like middle of the season.
And like, and we're, and we won the game.
And so like, and we were in the fight, like our first year.
We were trying to.
There's a lot of shit going on.
And so he called Johnny basically like, like you pause the shit for that cowboy.
Come out public.
Yeah.
Chris, that's, that's his house.
Yes.
Yeah.
Do you realize how fucked up that is?
That's fucked up.
Like a stranger, you invite them into your house.
You can be doing a million things, but you're sitting down,
which is like a minefield for a head coach.
Yeah.
To do an interview at all that he doesn't have to do.
And they're in his house.
Yeah, what is it for though?
They probably,
he probably asked them,
do you want anything to drink?
Yeah.
Like, can I get you water?
Yeah, dude.
And 10 minutes later,
the guy's stabbing him in the back
and fucking leak in a video of him
talking about one of the best coaches in the NFL.
And that to me is like,
that's the misstep by Mike.
You got to be,
you got to be careful you can't i'm in an uber and i'm a nobody relative to the people that we talk about
on this podcast right like for the most part like we played in the nfl but it's not about who we'd care
what we have to say when i'm in an uber i'm careful about like business that i share you know what
i'm saying because you you're like you never know who's like listening or recording you're on the
set and the fucking dude's got his camera phone out it's crazy that's diabolical it looked like it
me i mean the guy probably
you can see the photos of his family in the background
dude do you think the guy sent it
to somebody else like a friend
I don't know
and like the friend violated or like
did this guy get fired by
so the video
we got to make fucking read and Tanner sign
NDAs yeah
yeah we do what you saw
that little extra part about Sean
Peyton was at the beginning of the full interview
and then they removed it from the video
but not before this Twitter user
at Legion Boomer, Tennessee,
recorded it and posted.
Okay.
That changes everything.
I didn't follow any of that.
So essentially,
it was accidentally uploaded.
They probably had a cut
that they,
and this is like,
super long cut.
Well, no, it's probably,
I don't know,
like,
this is probably an ambitious thought,
but like,
imagine getting that story
and being like,
man,
that story is so great.
We might as well ask him.
if we can use it on the intro to the show.
I did like the story.
No, it's a great story.
And most people.
It's a fascinating insight into like an aspect of,
I don't know, football and coaching that you'd never,
I didn't even think of that.
I know, I mean, we were on teams, you know.
Well, just think about it, dude.
Like, we all saw that video today and we were like,
oh, that's interesting.
Kind of weird that he shared it, but like, interesting.
You know, like, I would never assume that they leaked that.
And I think what might have happened then is they were like,
this is too good we have to ask right maybe he'll say yes and they they made a cut of that and they
fucking like sent something from their drafts dude instead of posting the final video and that's
crazy and now this is going to be a big fucking thing i mean it sounds like they were already like
in a lawsuit so then for him to like say that publicly yeah i mean yeah this is going to be a big thing
it's a big thing socially between the coaches it's a big thing from like uh
precedence ramifications standpoint like okay you know is that you know spy gate is
to use training camp film like this could shut down like training camp access for certain media
members the whole thing dude is big deal i don't think you're appreciating how big a deal this is
bo you'll remember where you were when we found out that this was a fucking outtake dude oh
i like the story though i was outraged now
I'm fucking, oh.
You're, I mean, are you, I don't know.
Your outrage that it got out,
are you outraged by the behavior of the coaches
in the story that McDonald told?
No, I was, there's so many things to talk about here.
I mean, first, I was outraged because I thought a guy from Graham's camp leaked it
for some clandestine reason.
I mean, that might have actually happened.
I don't, the, the, where's conspiracy facts when you need a read?
Yeah, it was.
it was in the beginning of the video so it had to been added or uh and possibly mcdonald
reached out and said hey i see this in the video can you take it out something like that but
well yeah but that had to be a dude can you imagine making that call and being like this is the
most this is the most futile thing ever the video's been up for six minutes it's the first thing
on the video but can you please take it down like that's just got to feel like the worst phone call
to make like you're so mad we ever gotten that call
have i ever gotten that call have we ever got the call we're like hey you didn't
interview and they're like you got to take the shit down uh fucked no i mean i've told reed like late
at night like man it's i'm laying in bed that was like that was not intended to be on air like
you know but like never the point the point is this isn't like him saying like fuck or you know
like making a dick joke he's talking about sean payton head coach yeah i still love mike i this
i don't hold it against him i don't think you're
came across poorly i think he he came across like a fucking genius like yeah you want to put
fucking clips on twitter i'm gonna use them like what what's that thing you got going there
some guy from like it's probably a bleeding orange dot com leaked your playbook bro i'm sorry
like it's not my fucking problem it's not my fault our whole analytics team which is like
a whole building is like grinding your shit to like schematic mince me what was your phrase earlier
institutional fortitude bro that's what these guys have you know who don't who you know who
who who doesn't have institutional fortitude fucking graham what's his nuts grand what's his nuts i have
no no it's grand messenger he's a great interviewer and as you can see he makes people really
comfortable and this mother fucking mike dude he fucking spilled the beans and i didn't think it was honestly
i don't think it was all that bad like it's fucking i don't know dude i think this i don't like that it got
leaked. I think that's bad ball.
I think this could ironically become
like the NFL cold war.
You know?
Could set up for Broncos, Seahawks.
Which side are you on? Super Bowl.
Oh.
I'm on Mike's side, dude.
Like, Sean Payton doesn't have a leg to stand on here.
Did Mike McDonald say anything about it?
About what?
About the video that like has the team,
the Seahawks organization acknowledged it or like
put out a response or a statement?
Seahawks didn't know that the video that was posted was recorded until Tuesday morning.
And the video went up.
The whole episode went up.
Dude, Schneider calling McDonald like, are you fucking serious?
What did, uh, what did, what did McDonald say about Schneider and again?
God damn.
Um, I don't know.
But that's some interesting shit that just happened, dude.
So stay tuned for, for that later in the week.
Thank you.
