Green Light with Chris Long - Baker Mayfield Turns Superhuman Against 49ers | Chris Long Reactions
Episode Date: October 13, 2025The week 6 action has been absolutely wild. The Broncos and Jets had a complete rockfight in London. The Seahawks defense stood stout against the Jaguars. Joe Flacco turned in a solid performance for... the Bengals against the Packers but Jordan Love performed when he needed to. Justin Herbert and Baker Mayfield turned in the two most improbable plays of the day, showing how important they are to the Chargers and Buccaneers, respectfully. And the Lions and Chiefs will no doubt be a wild SNF matchup! We're going to talk some football.
Welcome to the show.
We have one reminder.
We're 2 p.m. tomorrow.
If you check this show out, please check out our live show.
We got the whole gang in the building for that one.
I'm just going to, I'm going to say it flat out.
This was the worst slate of football, hopefully the entire season.
I mean, that was just hideous.
There was a point in the 1 p.m.'s where I was like, it just reinforces how the NFL is king.
because that is a perfectly acceptable
like I would watch that again
and it was terrible
it was awful
the games of the day were
kind of like if we're being honest a little bit hideous
like Seattle and Jacksonville was kind of a hideous game
unless you like defense which I do
and San Francisco and Tampa Bay was a hideous game
unless you like the bucks which I do
but it was you know wire to wire
just ugly football starting with
London dude I've never seen
well I'm sure I've seen it before maybe it was the um the the the the the COVID game with
Kendall Hinton was that who was kennel Hinton?
It was also a Sean Payton game by the way uh it was a Sean Peyton Vic Fangio game
what's up dude yeah Sean Peyton yeah Sean Peyton uh Vic Fangio game and I've never seen a team
actually go minus 10 in the past game but the Jets found a way to do that we like to give out
an award called worst plane ride
spoiler alert
tomorrow there's going to be a special edition
of worst plane ride and it's called worst swim
because they should make the
offensive coordinator
for the New York Jets
swim back to the United States
that's actually
what somebody
actually said today
text this is from Rich
Samini
I'm sure I'm saying his name wrong
text from former Jets executive, the offensive coordinator has to swim home.
That's the greatest text of all time, dude.
The greatest text of all time.
Because if you woke up this morning and watched that game, which I did,
and I will do it every time, you give me an international game.
As a player, I hate the thought of having to go play,
not going to play, like going to play in London's fun.
You know, it's a fun thing to do once or twice.
You know, and I did it twice in my career.
One time we got blanked by the pads, 44 to 7.
I don't know what happened.
Tom Brady happened.
And then we beat the Jags in London.
Your boy had two sacks, had a great day.
Went out on the town at night.
Me, Alshan Jeffrey, and the guys had a fantastic night out on the town in London.
But it really is a pain in the ass.
So if you go over there, you want to play your best.
And for the Broncos, I know there was a big win last week.
And they talked about, we're not going to talk about London.
We're not going to talk about London.
Well, I could tell because they did not come to play, at least offensively today.
And the Jets were even worse.
I'll just say this about Sean Payton's game plan.
Didn't love it.
I think he's the man.
You know, like I bet on him having a good game plan.
And maybe the conservatism, you know, came from the fact that he knew that the Jets
couldn't move the ball on them.
But I thought, you know, they tried to get on the edges early.
You know, then it was like, hey, we'll go to some crossers.
You know, the Jets present some problems and coverage for them that that you could see early and often in that game.
And then the run game, they couldn't get on the edge.
And in the second half, by the time they had a good game playing, the game was almost over.
I mean, like, I thought on that last driver, they kicked a field goal where Bo Nix actually missed Cortland Sutton in the end zone.
They got them on Sherwood, who was Waldo today.
I thought spreading it out and getting your matchups, spread that team out, get your matchups, gun runs.
It took way too long to get into that, but the Broncos defense gives you the luxury of,
all right, we'll just figure it out as the game goes on.
Those edge rushers were great today.
Cooper, Benito is going to get a lot of attention for DPOI and he should, but Cooper is a hell of a rusher.
That's a hell of a Robin, you know, I say Batman and Robin, the A1 rusher, the 1A rusher, the 1B rusher.
Cooper's a stud.
I mean, those guys get off the football, and that was huge.
So I got to tip my cap to the Jets defense.
They really played their ass off.
I thought Jermaine Johnson coming back, gave them a little shot in the arm,
and the guys played hard.
So that's a team not quitting on their coach, who's O'N5,
0 in 6 at this point.
And quite honestly, there were some of the most heads.
scratching decisions I've seen in the young season.
Like they called it, they called a timeout, I think, or what did they call it a timeout
and then went out to punt and then and then ran a fake punt instead of like picking up a yard
with the offense was actually kind of a smart move because their offense.
I think their fake punt offense is probably better in their offense.
And then later they just wasted a timeout that ended up mattering later in the game and ended
up punting anyways on fourth and short.
So I would have gone for it on fourth and short.
if you haven't noticed, you're not going to the playoffs.
So you should probably try to win games when you actually have one within your reach.
And unfortunately, those guys got a seven-hour flight back home with none of the show for it.
So good win for the Broncos.
As a side note, Bo Nicks threw the ball 67 yards by my math on the shot on first down.
I think it was in the second half.
He launched the ball 67 yards.
He can play better for sure.
we'll get into that tomorrow i want to i want to look at the all 22 i already already have but i want to look at it
again he can play better but that was a hell of a throw i mean like i know it wasn't a completion
but we talked about mahomes and there was a big conversation about because mohomes threw the ball really
far at the end of the jags game uh you know mahomes his arm is dead and then people were like actually
that was one of the furthest throws over the last couple years you idiots and then bow nicks throws the
all 67 yards say guys got a live arm if he ever figures out how to put it on target with consistency.
He knows where to go with the football.
It's a good offense.
They scheme it up well.
He's got to make the throws.
I don't know why we're seven minutes in this thing.
I'm still talking about London.
Okay.
But Justin Fields, I could have had, remember I said I had two in London?
Could have had five in London.
40 years old without stretching, maybe no toward all.
That he was holding the ball for an eternity.
I think honestly, and I was a big Justin Fields, you know, Stan and everything over the last couple of years.
I like the kid, but today you kind of did your team a disservice, not taking them out of the game.
He wasn't seeing it.
As the day went on, we had Seahawks and Jags, which was supposed to be a high flying ball game with a lot of points, right?
Because Jags are like a Super Bowl team, right?
Because they beat the Chiefs at home.
They're making trades.
They're wheeling and dealing.
They feel really good.
And they should.
They look like a playoff team, which is what I said after the Monday night game.
But people getting out of the first.
their skis was the most predictable thing in the world when it came to this team and i know it's not
trevor lawrence's fault you know that that he was pressured at a clip of like 50% today which is 2x
what his offensive line and given up in the past um but you know in a situation like that
my son is dancing in the background can you go sit on the couch bro he's distracting he's such a good
what's this dance called he's doing the dance where you the floss he's flossing the floss he's flossing the
I'm supposed to know what that is.
It's distracting as hell.
I love you anyway.
I say, guys, you want to come and watch the live show?
Just chill out.
Don't do anything.
Like, three minutes into the thing where you got my six-year-old is flossing.
So anyways, I just thought this was a big opportunity for the Jags to grow up a lot.
And by that, I mean, like, they grew up on Monday night in one way.
See you, buddy.
I'm not kicking you out.
But this was an opportunity.
If you want to be a good football team, you're going to win big games.
And when you win a big game on a short week, you have to come back, ready to play, especially at home.
Seattle, who's been nails on the road under McDonald, who's a fantastic football coach.
They're down a ton of guys in secondary.
And it felt like early on they were going to try to make those guys tackle, get on the perimeter.
Those guys did a great job on the perimeter in the run game.
And the front took care of the rest.
I mean, I don't want to oversimplify it.
We'll talk about it more tomorrow.
But the thing I want to focus on is that front for Seattle.
Those guys are fucking studs.
My kids are going to be cussing like a sailor.
Those guys are fucking studs.
I told you that.
I told you that all season long.
You know, I told you about Byron, Murphy, who ends up with, what, two and a half today?
Guys a stud.
Last year, he only had a half sack.
He didn't rush the passer of Texas.
Well, he's on a group right now where he's picking up some tricks to the trade, running some TEs, working off each other with guys like Tank Lawrence, who's one of my personal favorite players in the league, had two and a half today.
I think he had two and a half today.
There were seven sacks as the team.
46% pressure rate, golly.
And that was a group that was really good going into the Chiefs game.
And the last couple weeks, I don't know if Spags kind of exposed something.
We'll go back and look.
obviously different ways to get there.
Spag is going to bring pressure,
and the Seahawks are going to win with four when they can, and they did.
And, you know, I haven't really talked about the whole group.
I mean, obviously, you got guys like Nuwosu.
They got guys like Leonard Williams,
who's just a total stud, great vet.
And you can see why this guy, Byron Murphy's growing up before our very eyes.
He's a part of a good group on a good defense,
and he does things right in the run game.
You can put him out there in any situation.
he's not just a pass rusher, he's not just a run stuffer.
You know how rare it is to find an every down player on the interior in the NFL now.
I mean, a guy that truly is a plus on first, second and third down.
Guys is a stud.
Now, again, I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon.
I picked this team to win the NFC West.
And we're going to talk about the Niners in a second who have done a great job.
And I think Shanahan, if the season ended today, could be coach of the year.
But he's just lost Fred Warner.
today. And when you look at Seattle, and they didn't even play their best game, I think they're
one for 12 on third down, you know, and Darnel missed some balls to JSN, who still had a million
yards today, leading the NFL. It seems like everything. You know, that team looks to me very,
to be very complete. And if I'm a Seahawks fan, if we're talking about trades, what do you
think I'm going to say? Well, there's two very good guards in Cleveland who may be,
available. And I know, I've touted Bradford in the run game, but in past protection, that's going to get you killed at some point this year. And so I would be looking to make a move like that. I really would. I think this team is close. I think it's very close. I think we have rushing coverage, man. I mean, you're talking about being down Will & Witherspoon. Different guys that love, I think, was down in the game. I mean, injuries. Everybody's dealing with them, but some teams are dealing with them better than others. And so tipping my cap.
to Seattle and and what they've turned into in this in this this this young
McDonald era dude like he fucking they hit a switch when they traded for Ernest
Jones last year and they're they look awesome so good job all the backups doing
their thing you know the other thing I will mention is a lot of people are going to be
like well it's not Trevor's fault and and it's not his fault that they were running
rough shot they were getting their ass kicked a little bit today I don't know if
it's a regression, the mean thing, because we can come into the season, and this is what the first month is.
You know, if you go back to the previews and hear us talk about teams, you say, well, the
offensive line's kind of unproven, we'll see.
And the first month of the season, they're great.
You know, they're giving up like a 23% pressure rate.
But as the season goes on, the real, the real slim shady stands up.
You know, the real team gets exposed.
The real, and I'm not saying they're a bad group.
That's a very good front.
they played today but the regression the mean thing is real and so let's see if cohen get the fire
put out on that the other thing about that is and i had to check twice but i think it said that um
for the first time since 2002 was it no we just had 22 um Trevor Lawrence uh is holding the ball
for three plus seconds time to time to release it last two weeks uh three four three point four you round up
I round a lot.
3.4 last week against Kansas City.
And then over three seconds again this week, like 3-1, 3-1-5, something like that.
Just not good enough.
I mean, you know, it's bad enough if you're getting beat up front,
but when you're holding the football.
And I know people don't want to put it on Trevor Lawrence,
but he is the guy on this roster that has to prove it.
You know, we've been saying that for the better part of two years now.
Well, really, his whole career.
And I think he's very talented.
I was excited for him on Monday night.
but you know you got to hit the throws when they're there he wasn't perfect today um and you know
perfection isn't demanded in every situation but the ball placement for him is just far too often a
little bit off for me everybody's got a tasting quarterback but i just i'd like to see him be a little bit
more on the money even in the mundane situations um you know and it doesn't help the Travis
Travis Hunter, who I love, I think is going to be a stud.
And, you know, he was dejected in making the mistake,
but he lines up off sides on a freak touchdown that you end up having,
which would have made a huge difference in the ball game.
And then you end the game, you know, with a leveraging penalty,
which is just, you know, your team doesn't even get to give it a shot down two scores late.
So it's just a disappointing game for the Jaggs.
It's just one game.
You know, I'm not going to do the hyperbolic thing.
I didn't do it Monday and put them in the Super Bowl.
I'm not going to put them in the fucking in the outhouse today.
They are a good football team.
Gladstone, to me, is of the right mindset and making moves.
I like a GM that makes moves, although neither corner had a great day today.
You talk about the two guys that were two shifts passing in the night, Cleveland and Jacksonville,
looked like two totally different situations.
Well, both of them had kind of up and down days, right?
So that wasn't going to solve everything.
I think Jacksonville fans, you know, knew that that move alone wasn't going to elevate them.
I think another thing they're probably missing is their tight end Cole Strange, you know, or Breton Strange.
Cole Strange is the guy in New England, well, not anymore.
Golly, that was Bill's last gift to the New England Patriots.
But I honestly, you know, not the end of the world for the Jags.
I think that's about Seattle Seahawks being a really fucking good team.
And you heard it here first.
You really did.
Because I don't know if a lot of people picked them to win the West.
and they didn't just win the West, but I think next week they play the Rams.
We're going to find out a lot about that matchup, and I can't wait.
Rams and Jags in London, I got it all mixed up.
Who the Seahawks have next week?
Ooh, Texans.
Good luck blocking that group.
Where's that game?
Thank you.
Thank the Lord, dude.
You know, this football season, BetmGM wants to give you another chance at first touchdown
scores with BetMGM's second chance promotion.
You'll get your stake back in cash if your first touchdown scores,
score second instead.
Bet on any pro football player to score the first touchdown of the game.
If you're right, you win, which is my favorite part of the ad read.
If you're right, you win.
If your player scores second, you get your stake back in cash.
Be sure to take advantage of this offer.
And if you haven't signed up for BetMGM yet, use bonus code green light.
And you will get up to a $1,500 first bet offer on your first wager with BetMGM.
Bet MGM, make it legendary.
Now, now here's the other game of the week.
Niners at Bucks.
You know, I made no bones about it.
I really like the Bucks.
I think Bucks are a very good football team.
I would make a case that right now, you know,
considering everything they're going through in the NFC,
like there's nobody playing better.
And, you know, the Packers eeked to win out against Joe Flacco and the Bengals.
And I think Joe gave him a little shot in the arm,
you know, made some big throws.
late to make that a game.
But, you know, when I look at this Bucks team being down both their corners,
and I know Niners fans don't want to hear it because you guys are down a lot of guys.
And the Fred Warner injury is probably, it's the biggest one.
It's the biggest one.
I mean, you could argue it's bigger than any injury on the team outside of Christian McCaffrey
if he were to get hurt, which we've been there.
But like Fred Warner being down is just crippling for a group that is trying to manufacture
pass rush right now.
And then you saw that play where they were mugged up.
And, you know, it ends up being a bus.
But it's kind of bust that, you know, Grisard creates by sending the motion and forcing
them to communicate.
And you end up with basically a wheel route out of the backfield from the motion man.
And he's totally left, you know, unaccounted for it for a touchdown.
So that type of thing is like a Fred Warner communication thing.
You're also going to miss, obviously, his play, as athleticism, the whole thing.
Niners have a ton of injuries.
I think Shanahan's doing a fucking fantastic job,
and I think Mack Jones did a pretty good job today,
considering they had to throw the ball like 40-something times in that game,
which is not ideal.
But the Bucks are down, starting corners, two of them,
and they're down to three starting receivers by the end of the football game.
And it's a one-point game, and they're driving.
Richard White has to fall forward for the most unlikely first down
to keep it alive.
Six minutes, I think, to go in the third quarter at that point.
And I'm thinking to myself like, oh, it's good that they're bleeding clock here, right?
Like Baker, third and 14, very next third down.
This is, this makes no sense to me because the guy, like, if you saw Baker Mayfield
walking down the street and you wonder what he did for a living, I don't know, you guess.
I have no idea, but it's not a professional football player.
It's not a professional football player.
And he's making professional athletes look like they have never tackled anybody before.
for. I mean, it was incredible to watch him get out of that trouble on third and 14. His artistry in the
pocket. And I remember last year, Thad Lewis, quarterback coach for the, the Bucks, Duke University, St. Louis
Ram, my dude. I remember hearing something last year about him encouraging Baker to use his legs more.
Now, I'm not saying that Baker's, you know, Baker's always had this artistry. But it feels like to me,
I've seen more highlight throws from this guy in the past calendar year where he's where he's
breaking tackles and you know scrambling and this was crazy he was dead to rights huff had him
um I don't know who else had a shot at him then he had to deadlegging two professional athletes
in the secondary fucking unbelievable the guy is a varsity blues movie personified he really is
and and then the very next play basically taking the shot to test jose jose.
Johnson who made an incredible, incredible play on the ball.
I mean, it's a great throw the arm air against the whole thing.
But take a bow, Jason Light.
We were talking about it earlier to have all your guys down and be able to win that football game against a very good San Francisco team.
That's why I think they are, and they haven't even hit their stride yet.
Baker didn't even play that good today throughout the entire game.
I don't want to say you play bad.
He played great.
But he still left money on table.
There were plays that were behind my guy.
A big boo, as Grant calls him.
I got to qualify that every time.
So people aren't like, yo, Chris fucked his name up.
He was behind him a couple times early in that game.
And honestly, like, I know there's this whole like Baker for MVP thing,
and I'm on board with that, right?
But I don't think he's played his best ball yet this year.
Not consistently.
If you've been watching Tampa, because I said they're going to be really good, so I've been watching
him close. He hasn't made every single throw this year, and they have had guys hurt, as everybody
knows, on the offensive line. That has become a reality for them. They have guys hurt outside.
They have guys hurt on defense. And they've still found a way to win pretty much every game.
I mean, they've been at the doorstep of beating any team they played, and they've done it more often
the not. So this is a very good football team. The one thing I have a concern about on this
defense is I think their secondary got a lot deeper this year. You know, Todd Bowles was giddy.
We went out and got a couple more main corners. But the linebackers to me, Levanti Davis ticked up
a little bit in age, although he's made some really big plays for them. And Savasier, Dennis,
in past coverage, brother, the hook windows right there. It was like Mac all day, just playing with
those guys and he actually left the field at one point and they had who'd they have deon jones in the
game i was like what the fuck is going on out here dude so for the bucks to be able to win a game like
that that that was incredible and you can't talk about the bucks without you know jemelle dean
uh late with the pick um you know you had uh who had the pick early it was villdor had a big pick early
and and i know that romo and them are saying oh they're it's a confusion thing it was one
high safety, two high safeties, that whole thing. But I don't think, I think had the receiver gone
to the flat to where the ball was being thrown, I think that's film study. I think Vildor just made
the play. I think they were in the same concept on third down last week against the Rams,
a ton of little outroutes like that. And we were able to find it in like five minutes.
So Bowles is a hell of a coach. I don't think he's working with a full deck.
I losing coli losing cancy was a big deal a big deal which is why i think they're going to be buyers
at the trade deadline on a tackle um go get um malique from uh from malic Collins from the from the
from the browns go get zach sealer who's rescue that guy from miami please sim a good geoffrey
simmons would be just Jeffrey simms to get him the way jags twitter all week has been talking about
we're going to go get dexter lawrence they're not getting fucking dexter lawrence up we're going to get
geoffrey simmons good luck with that there's going to be a race for that fucking guy honestly he's
playing about as good as i've seen him play and he's a hell of a football player so uh just a just an
incredible incredible gutsy win from uh from the bucks and um and the seahawks as well going on
the road and getting that win the other games they just just buzz through them real quick i'm not
going to i'm not going to spend much time on them we'll do the most of it tomorrow i talked about
London. Cardinals and Colts, I look forward to seeing that game on all 22. This week we talked
about, don't be surprised if the Cardinals make this a real game, maybe win it. I thought they
probably win the game. When I saw them in it, I just trust Jacoby Brissette. And it felt like a
spot for a team that blew a two touchdown lead last week with the most improbable shit going on,
coach pushing people, you know, that they would get together as a team and figure it out and play
their best football this week and by all indications they made it a game but the thing i want to talk about
is that was insane in pregame i've never seen some shit like that happened in my life i don't know if
was it granson that ran into to ward it was crazy dude um but it looked it looked if you weren't
looking like like the tight end decided to to lay out ward i know that's not what happened but that's how
unlucky it was. I think he thought the ball was being thrown to him. Ogletree. But golly, talk about a
rough situation being then Anthony Richardson fractured orbital. Now, on a band. Now, let me explain
to you what might have happened. I don't know what kind of band it was, but like one time I was
stretching in D-Line meetings during camp with a green band, which is like a tension band,
and you put it like on your foot and you stretch your you stretch your you know you stretch like this
and I'm laying on the ground the fucking thing slips off and smacks me square in the face and it was like
the loudest thing in the world and everybody was like oh shit you are right like and I got laughed at
and shit but I would imagine if that had caught me right like maybe I would have a black eye you know
like maybe I would have a little Shiner or something but Anthony Richardson his orbital went so I don't
know what kind of ban that was but that is some shitty stuff and if you have an orbital fracture
how long you out for i mean not that he was going to be anybody's answer at the trade deadline but like
if he's a development piece does that matter it doesn't matter two three weeks is that it you think
charges dolphins let me sum this one up real real concisely for you there's a couple guys out there
that need to be rescued in miami i pray that somebody rescues jalen phillis with everything he's
been through. He doesn't need to be through another rebuild. I pray that somebody rescues Zach Seeler.
I pray that somebody rescues A. Chan. You know, you saw him take that ball to the house.
There's the safety. There was no angle. The angle disappeared. Everybody watching that fucking guy
better be like, he can help my offense. Anybody that needs a running back right now needs to be
thinking about that guy can help my offense. There's other guys on that team worth rescuing.
And there's some guys playing hard. But when I watched that game as a whole, and this didn't take anything away
from Ladd-McConkie, who's a really good player and some of the other guys.
This isn't a blanket statement.
So if you're offended on behalf of some of the other players on the field, please, I'm just
having fun.
But it kind of felt like it was like a make-a-wish deal where it was like everybody was like,
I want to play with an elite quarterback.
I want to play in a football game with an elite quarterback.
It was Justin Herbert and 21 guys.
Like the quality of football in that field that he has to deal with, I mean, Vidal played great.
they strung it together
Bobby Hart's like playing tackle for them
I was like wait that Bobby Hart
the guy that I played when I was 34 years old
and I went to Wikipedia
he's been on like fucking 11 teams dude
they're down to Bobby Hart at tackle
they're terrible in the red zone
Chargers need to play a lot better in the red zone
and I'll say this Chargers fans
y'all didn't bully me
I'm I you guys got me on the bandwagon
because
well, there's a totally different team.
You're all banged up now, minus Khalil Mack, minus Joe Alt,
like since I was like, yeah, I'm going to get on the Chargers bandwagon.
I got to be honest, like, charges have to play better.
I mean, you ran all over Miami, but that's not exactly a barometer for where you are in the run game.
Chargers have to be better in the Red Zone.
They were terrible in the Red Zone today.
And Tua, after the game, talking about, hey, you know,
hey our team we're trying to have players meetings guys are showing up late guys aren't coming to
the players meetings and shit like that like that's unheard of they need to blow that thing up the culture
is is gone there never was a culture that's why they'd never beat any good teams but that that shit is
unheard of to me and what's even more unheard of is the quarterback standing up there and airing it out
after you throw three picks now i know not all three are on you and and and i think two has has been
far from the problem there this season.
But he's one of the issues.
And if people aren't showing up for your player-only meetings,
then maybe you need to lean on him a little bit.
You know, that's an ugly deal.
Speaking of ugly, Brown Steelers, fuck me.
I mean, it was a hospital ball fest from Dylan Gabriel.
He almost got like five guys killed.
At this point, like, I just want to just go ahead,
put in Shador Sanders.
And it's only so everybody, and I mean everybody will shut the fuck up about the whole thing.
Everyone.
I just want to see him play so we can get into analyzing the NFL player.
So Dylan Gabriel, who, you know, he's got his work cut out for him, playing Herbig
and playing behind that offensive line.
And T.J. Watt, obviously, and Hayward and those whole guys, that's a fucking major league
operation.
And he's like a child out there.
He's a young guy.
He's a small guy.
like he's playing they're waving those towels around and i feel for him um and i think the the outcome
probably be the same for any quarterback for the browns but with all the noise at some point you're
probably going to have to at least look at the kid from colorado um and then we'll see and the last
thing is this man you know i like to take my little bryce young victory laps um i like take my
Bryce Young victory laps. Bryce Young when trailing versus the Cowboys, 10 of 10, 125 passing yards,
three touchdowns, 158.3 perfect passer rating. Now, I know it's just the Cowboys defense.
And I know they shipped Micah Parsons to Green Bay and, you know, the whole thing. But last week,
I thought bless you. I thought last week, the pass rush came on. So this was not going to be like a
cakewalk. And there were a lot of lead changes in this game. He had to duel it out
with Dak Prescott, who's an MVP candidate,
at some point, people are going to realize
that this guy's a pro quarterback,
and he's going to be fine at some point,
if the team could get their shit together around him.
Or if they've had enough of him at some point,
which would be stupid,
maybe somebody else can pick him up
and turn him into a pro bowler,
because that's what he would look like on another team.
And not really much else to talk about.
Raiders Titans look to be the most hit.
football game ever.
So I'm going to begrudgingly have to watch that one.
Patriot Saints might as well been played in a hangar.
Did anybody see that game?
Did anybody without a weird accent see the game?
I mean, seriously, two weirdest accents in America.
The people at the bar, like New England people in New Orleans people, like,
I don't know.
luck this week all right so we've got the game of the week which is obviously going to be a fucking
slug fest tonight the one thing that worries me on a couple counts is like number one josh shimmons
i hope josh shimms is okay i hope everything's okay i don't know much about why he's not there but
it's supposedly he's back in california something that popped up late like dealing with a personal
issue that's never good um and i don't know how much the team knew about this how emergent this
situation was but like you know one of the reasons that the chief's offense has looked a lot better and
i think that they will look like the best group that they've had over the over the you know last three
years has been his emergence um his addition to the team worthy's up that's that's a good thing
but obviously detroit's got a lot of injuries one of the reasons i gave out the chiefs um you know i know
every time I pick against the lions,
somebody pokes me, like pokes a voodoo doll with my face on it in Michigan.
But like injuries matter.
And I do think this matchup slightly favors the chiefs.
I think it's going to be a slug fest, a lot of scoring.
And honestly, I said this earlier.
I said the Bucks are playing about as good as anybody in the NFC.
I think it's the Bucks and the Lions playing the best football in the NFC right now.
Bucks and Lions.
So we'll see tonight.
This is a big test for the Lions going on the road.
Last time they beat the Chiefs, absolute thriller.
There was no Chris Jones.
I think they might have had some other key pieces missing, but Kelsey was down.
But don't tell that to Lions fans.
Their whole team has been hurt for two years.
So great game tonight.
I'm giving out the Chiefs.
I know, fuck me, right?
But I haven't missed the Lions game yet.
when it comes to picking them.
So take care.
