Welcome to the recap show.
I'm joined by Nolan.
Howdy?
Dr. Fax.
Yeah.
Dr. Fax was at a wedding this weekend.
He almost got Nor'Eastered.
Almost got Noreastern.
Dude goes to a wedding in, what, Martha's Vineyard?
Martha's Vineyard.
Which is like inside the Northeastern?
It's literally inside of it.
So you can only get there by plane or ferry.
And like on the way to the ferry, this was a predominant.
I would say this, this was a predominantly black wedding.
So like getting to the ferry, seeing the ferry full with all the cars and the people like rushing to get off the island.
Yeah.
Everyone that's getting on the island is a bunch of black people.
And everyone, like all the workers are like, you guys know there's a storm.
There's a storm.
And we're like, hey, man, we got a wedding to go to.
Dude, fall wedding should be off the table.
No offense to your friends.
And then the second thing is like you happen to schedule it when the weather totally loses it shit.
But he made it back.
Everyone made it back.
I think out of a total of maybe like 150 guests, I think only like 10 to 13 people didn't make it.
So all in all, I think for the circumstances, it was a huge success.
And congratulations to Oliver and Kristen.
huge success other than the getting married part just kidding getting married is awesome it really is
awesome you know it's them getting used to when it first happens you're like damn dude but eventually
it's the best it's all great it's great read uh is in the back tanner's in the back too uh in his jm uke's hat
as fly eyes hat dude did you yeah we did we did okay for no poor and oh
Cito to you.
Yeah,
I'm saying it with your chest,
bro.
JMU's 4-0,
JMU-C-L-A's 4-N-O,
and J-MU-M-A-Campus
4-0.
So all JMU teams are 4-0.
I don't know what that means.
Me either.
Bob Jesney and.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah,
because it's a tree now.
That's right.
JMU is the tree.
Oh,
the tree.
Exactly.
That took me a while.
They said 4-0 like they'd been there before.
Yeah, like they've been there a lot.
There's nothing new.
Honestly, I respect them.
I respect Jan.
you. On to the games. These, these Broncos receivers are a bunch of thespians, aren't they read?
I mean, we go to acting class, you know? We've been on Broadway, number two.
I don't want to take anything away from the Broncos because they took that game. Like, honestly,
the way, the way this thing goes with calls, I get it. The game should probably be over.
You know, it's not the only bad call I saw a weekend. You know, we're going to get talking about
Dallas and the CV-Lam OPI that wasn't in the ball don't lie situation facilitated by the
genius that is Brian Schottenheimer. That was a bad deal. But like you're going to get calls
to go against you. Sometimes they're going to happen in the worst spot in the game. And it is what
it is. But if you're up 16-0 on the road and you kick the ball off in the second half and the
Broncos receive it and you get it back in under a minute and spend like a total of three minutes
with the football in the third quarter, you're asking for it, dude. You are asking for it. And I know
that, you know, there's going to be a lot of people who have been waiting to dump on the Rams. And listen,
like, in the past, I've been told I hate the Rams because I played for the Rams and they cut me. Now I'm
to be told I'm a homer. But I just don't, I don't see what all the panics about. It's perfectly
explainable to me why you lose that football game. Number one, you're playing an offense
that has a ridiculously high ceiling. The floor, we can talk about that too, Cowboy. If this
offense would play consistently, they'd be the best offense in the league. And that's without
nothing against J.K. Dobbins.
We talked about this last night where I'm always harping on J.K. Dobbins.
I like J.K. Dobbins. I don't love him.
And, you know, Reed sitting there watching the game last night.
He's like, you know, I look at this and, you know, like I'm watching Kiron Williams, you know,
breaking tackles and I'm saying, like, the Delta and running back week to week is,
and that's why Jonah Coleman's going to be so important to Denver.
But the point I want to make is, you know, this has kind of been the MO for the Broncos.
Like, this is not something new.
and they end up in these wacky spots
because they don't play to their potential
for like half the football game.
And I will say this,
I kind of wonder,
and maybe this is the dumbest point I'll make all day,
but it also could be brilliant.
Sean Payton is not calling the plays.
Everybody's heard that.
That probably frees him up
from a vantage point standpoint in the first half
to where he can kind of get some distance between,
I mean, hey, you know, what am I calling 30 seconds from now and staying ahead of, you know,
the defensive coordinator, in this case, Chris Shula, where he can kind of hover above it and see
the game from a different vantage point.
And I kind of wonder if them going into the half, because they've done it two weeks in a row,
not that the uneven play is new, but I kind of wonder, even with a new play caller who's feeling
his way out, like Deshaun Payton having an advisor who's probably a gold jacket guy,
who's your head coach, and he's now worrying about clock management and, like,
situational football, he can kind of take the 10,000 foot view,
walk into the half and say, hey, I saw this,
where before he's the one making adjustments on his own game plan,
or he's taking the inside of somebody like Davis Webb,
who is not a gold jacket guy yet.
So I think this is like kind of a hidden superpower that Denver has,
which is like the halftime adjustments they make,
or have got to be, I don't know, what's being said at the half.
I think this time it was as simple as, hey, number one and number 30,
let's throw the fucking ball at them.
You know, because, and this is the point I want to make about the Rams.
Like, I told you going in that the Rams defense wasn't a world beating group.
And that's even with, I mean, like, world beating.
By that I mean, like a historic defense.
That's with Miles Garrett Healthy.
I think with Miles Garrett healthy, they're a very good defense, but they still have holes in that defense where you can exploit.
The injury to Watson threw the whole game off for them defensively.
I mean, there were so many things that happened to them in the second half, and you're like, who's at the scene of the crime?
Whether it's the two-point plays or the multiple explosives that flipped the field for Denver, it was Sutton down the left sideline.
I think it was Pat Bryant on like a dig or a deep over.
and, you know, I think Wallace failed to pass him off.
Or, you know, he didn't accept the pass off.
And that's an explosive.
So you get the explosives for sure.
You couldn't get them off the field at times in the red zone.
I mean, like the back breaking third downs in the red zone.
You know, the two-point conversions.
You know, like, I want to give Davis Webb and Sean Peyton and Bo Nix a lot of credit
for making the plays when they mattered in crunch time.
Like to be able to do that, you know, this game.
obviously it took 30 points to win it but for a while it looked like it was going to be 1917 right
and to make those two-point conversions were huge mentally for the you know then the rams have
real pressure on them where you feel like damn we got to go score and they couldn't get it done and the
thing that that that changed for the rams to me was Ferguson being out you know to me it was a layup
hitting his props and that sort of thing of course he leaves with an ankle or whatever it was
tries to come back in, catches the ball, makes a cut.
Obviously, hopefully it's one of those things where, like,
you jam your Achilles a little bit,
like where you get some fluid in there,
you step harder on your heel,
one of the x-ray room or whatever.
Hopefully he's not out for a while.
I haven't heard anything about that.
But in a game where Pooka's out,
you know, the Rams have settled in this 13 personnel thing.
He's a real weapon for them.
And he was a weapon last week in the Red Zone.
I think last week, what did he get?
Six catches, eight, nine,
targets, red zone touchdown.
This team was 0 and 3 in the red zone.
That's where they lost the game.
Where the Rams lost the game was not putting this team away.
In the NFL, when you're playing good football team, you have to put them away.
The Rams failed to do that.
And who Fonga, who probably could have had three picks made the biggest play of the game.
Yeah, he did.
The biggest play of the game.
He was, he was great.
I mean, he really was.
I mean, like, sometimes we were sitting there talking about it last night and like,
he's like an a plus box player.
Like he and then sometimes in the open field, I'm like, okay, he kind of turns into more of like, you know, a standard safety.
But the ball skills and the instincts, maybe not the ball skills because he would have had three.
Yeah.
But the instincts to make some of the plays he makes, he was fantastic.
Zach Allen's always there.
He's always in the mix.
Huh?
We finally had a nice set.
Yeah, dude.
I mean, like, he is a Swiss Army knife type dude.
And for him to show up that big in that game was huge.
You know, again, like for the Rams, is it explainable?
To me, it is.
I mean, there's going to be some people today selling you their demise.
They're one and two.
It's not the end of the world.
They're going to get Miles Garrett back at some point.
If they don't lose Watts in this game, I think they probably win it.
And to the people that complain about calls every week, like, I'm not claiming, I mean,
the Rams got jobbed a little bit on that call, but like, there's a lot they could have done
to have not been in that position where one call fucks you over for the game.
this team is going to be fine.
For the Broncos, if they can stay this consistent offensively
or more consistent, they're going to be tough.
I mean, think about it.
The way to beat the Broncos is you got to beat the backers in coverage.
You have to be able to win the middle of the field.
And when you roll in a game plan that sounds like a bunch of tight ends,
some dump downs to the backs,
you saw Kyron Williams catching balls on like angle routes and that type of thing,
then you think, okay, we can do this.
And they got after Riley Moss and, like, Mumfield, like played war.
well, but you don't want to have to target him eight times in a football game.
And that goes to show how deep in the bag they are.
But there's still a team that's putting up 30 points on the road against a great defense like
Denver's.
I think the worry is more with the Rams defense and can they hold it down until Miles gets back?
And just like you said, until Miles get back, if they keep piling up losses or the
saxophone is getting louder for Aaron Donald feeling like, oh no, like I jump back on this team?
No, I think he understands it's going to be a process.
And watching Aaron, I know he got body slammed by Ben Powers or Miners,
one of these guys.
Like, he ended up in a funny position.
As soon as I saw it, I'm like, they're going to, all these people that, you know,
there's just these professional, you know, cynical people.
They're not professional because they're not getting paid to do it,
but they're just haters.
Yeah.
You know, like, whether or not it's the right take, like off the rip,
the take is going to be watch how bad Aaron Donald is when he gets back.
And the truth is he hasn't.
been bad. He just hasn't looked like DPOI, Aaron Donald. And I'm not shocked. I'm not shocked
at two weeks in. But, you know, there's a lot of situations. I think the ball to Pat Bryant
down the side or to Cortland Sutton down the sideline, for instance, I think Aaron Donald wins
pretty fast. He's winning fast. Yeah. Good bit. They showed you a spin move that he, that he beat,
I think, powers on. It's going to take time for him. But the bottom line is if they don't have
Miles Garrett, it's not going to look like the scariest front in football. And I talk about this.
there were some times in second half last night,
where Denver kind of leaned on the three techniques.
You know, Fisk is undersized.
They, you know, they bit off some chunks in the run game
and kept the third downs manageable.
So, like, that's the worry with the Rams is like,
if you're not dynamic in the pass rush,
teams can kind of run the ball on you a little bit.
They're a little out of balance defensively.
And when you lose Watson, it's the whole thing.
Well, personally, what do you think helps them out more, Miles Garrett game back first or Puka?
Miles Garrett.
Miles Garrett?
They can win without Puka.
Okay.
I mean, like, offensively, I thought in the second half, they did a poor job of calling the football game.
And I think the Ferguson injury really hurt them.
If you tell me they got their whole deck of tight ends, I'd much rather have Miles Garrett than Puka.
I think Devante Adams is still borderline uncoverable at times.
And, like, the Pat Certain and Adams matchup is all.
awesome and Pat's going to win some and Devante's going to win some. Devante poses a real test for
Pat that's unique because he's a big body guy who's also really, really sudden out of his break.
And like, so he's got the size and he's got the whole back shoulder bag to challenge PS2,
but he's also got the quick twitch stuff that like PS2 is a bigger athlete.
When he puts his feet in the ground and stops, his stop starts not going to be as good as some of these
tiny little guys. So like the Devonte and PS2 matchup is interesting because they both kind of get
their plays. So yeah, I mean, people are going to say the Rams are dead. Good luck with that take.
I mean, I think they're going to be okay. The Rams out gained them 482 to 257. Five Rams penalties
in the final two minutes. The lake penalty was brutal. You think the altitude plays apart. You think
guys whatever admit that like hey like towards the end of this game just yeah freaking hard to breathe
my brain is fog like absolutely because you see Denver getting these close games and like we said
like they feel like they're able to keep it together to feel like if you're training in that altitude
you're out there like that has to be a little bit of advantage definitely and in the second half of
these games I'm sure if you look there's a pattern they're the best second half team in football or one of
them you know that's part of it but I also think they're making great adjustments I think in this game
like the jump in production is explainable to a degree.
I think Bo Nix just pulled his head out of his ass and played like good Bo Nix.
When he does that, seriously.
I mean, he's up and down.
He's up.
He's 17 points and he's like, hold on, guys.
Hold on.
He's got ADHD, dude.
I'm telling you, this is what ADHD is like.
You have to have a gun to your head.
And like, he's got to have a proverbial gun to his head.
Did you guys think it was PI?
We were sitting there and I was kind of, I was more than surprised.
At first, it looked like Texas.
book PI but then I got to the replay and you know like you know I'm waiting on was it Pat
Brian to get his sad card you know like he he put him on IMDB for that bro he definitely got like
the amount of replays hit the minute total that you need to get your sagged yes I think yeah yeah yeah I think
obviously with him putting his arm out and kind of pulling the DB with him yeah that kind of that's
OPI but you know
that overshadows
the DB's path
going into Pat Brine's back
But it is funny as the Rams and Sean Payton
And you had the NFC championship game
Yeah
And Andrew Whitworth last night commented
And he was like I guess Sean finally gets his DPI or whatever
Was and people were like how could you laugh
At such a thing like this is fixed
And you think it's funny and like
You know it's like hey man
Look around the league
Officials miss all types of shit
I mean, you know, the guy on the sideline staring right at it.
The casual fan trying to explain to you, like, why the NFL fix is always like,
I'm like, so explain to me like what the rival reason is because sometimes they'll tell me it's Vegas.
And then, and then I'll look at the ticket and the money count and Vegas is losing because of what the officials do.
So, you know, I, you know, if it's narratives, if it's, you know, I don't know if like the script this year.
Right.
The Rams just getting killed off.
That's probably the number.
That's probably.
Why wouldn't the Cowboys win in Rio, dude?
Since that meme, since that meme and whatever happened, like, that's probably the number
one question I get as an ex-player.
It's just like, dude, like, come on.
Like, sometimes.
Is it scripted?
It's scripted a little bit, right?
Sometimes you have to realize, like, you really have to realize.
I'm not saying it's all fans, but like sometimes the loudest people on the internet and the
people when you, like, because we're older.
We're not out in, you know, in social scenes like that talking football.
with people like I'm at home so my window into what the world's like is the timeline and when you
open the timeline you have to remember that some of the people that you're seeing are unsurious
if you met them like outside a stadium you'd be like yo that guy smells like shit like he he's just
maybe there's something wrong with him that's the take that you're forced to take seriously
on the timeline but the worst thing about it is sometime on the timeline that take has over five million
view no question
And like, the gassing up of bad takes is out of control, dude.
I think you should be leaning to it.
People ask you just be like, what do you think the playbook is?
It's just the script.
Just the script.
Yeah, it's just the script.
Anyways, it was a great game.
And the thing that sucks about this game, full disclosure, I just say it before every show
because I always get the, hey, you didn't talk about my team enough.
And I'm like, how many hours do you think there are in a day for me?
It's the same as there are for you.
Add it up.
You want me to look at the All-22 of all these.
games by 1 p.m. it's really hard when the Sunday night football game is a banger because that's when we
get a lot of work done catching up on some of the earlier games and when it's an it's a barn burner
like it was last night until midnight you can't think about anything else and so uh i'm waiting for
the NFL to give us a stinker on Sunday night man like I would have liked Atlanta and green
bay last night so I could get my work done but they these Sunday night games have been incredible
I ain't going to lie.
Roger Goodell's cooking.
Goodell's been cooking up with this script.
He's been cooking up with this script.
So speaking of, there were nine early window football games yesterday.
And like usually I'm like, y'all are just dumb as fuck doing this.
Like we can't.
What does this sign say here?
It says, hold on, partner.
I'm overstimulated.
And that's the way I feel in the 1 p.m. slate.
And it's every weekend.
And I understand this weekend why it was like that because they were clearing the dance floor for the biggest
international game of all time for jerry for jerry they wanted to show brazil so great man those
brazilian fans had to be like this derrick henry guy's unbelievable oh my god to see this guy with his
black pants and then for them like honestly six foot legs dude he looks like an arachnid out there is what
i've written out of my nose do you think they were turning to each other in the stands he'd be like
what if he played soccer oh no i don't know but for them i think they're flowers i think the interest
The interesting thing is for them, for a stadium that was probably predominantly soccer fans,
for them to see NFL game, two field goals under 10 seconds to decide a game,
that probably was like, it's probably awesome.
It's not the cake for them.
Like, look, they're kicking it.
It was made possible by, honestly, dude, I like Shottie.
And I have talked him up on this program.
And I will continue to talk him up on this program because this Cowboys team,
is more more serious than they've been in the past, I think.
But part of me is like, oh, well, the Zeke days,
it was a pretty serious football team.
But I think Shadi, like, the thing I like about him
is he's not a big flash and flare guy.
So it kind of works out and balances out the Dallas hype train thing.
When you travel, how many miles away is Rio,
5,000 miles away.
A lot.
It's like in South America, man.
and you've got a whole plane full of people,
staffers, players, you're down there for the better part of a week,
not to mention the fact you're just trying to get to two and one
and like cash in on all this hype
and you do all that for 60 minutes
and you find a way to be in the driver's seat
to win this football game
and you actually kick the ball out of the end zone
with seven seconds to go in the football game.
I can't tell you what a ginormous Cardinal sin that is.
Like, it to me is unthinkable.
It's like they weren't even thinking.
Seven seconds, you kick that motherfucker as high as you can
to the 17-yard line, the 10-yard line, the 12-year,
any yard line will do.
You just got to get it in the land.
ending zone. You got the best kicker in football, right? The guy's going to catch it, or it's going
to roll in the end zone to the 20 yard line. It's going to roll in the end zone, ball at the 20.
The only thing you can't do. Or the guy's going to catch it better yet and run four seconds off the
clock. And there's going to be three seconds to go in the game. And it's basically the last snap of
the football game, barring something like a pass interference. To do that, and then, you know,
not tell Christian Parker
who's a very young, embattled
D coordinator, who's
relying on, like, dudes in the
website that have shadow pictures,
dude, like they don't even have pictures, bro.
There's people back there I've never heard of.
And they man them up.
They man them up.
They man them up.
They fucking play man coverage.
And they kick it out of the back
of the end zone. Dude, you
wasted everyone's time.
You wasted everyone on
the football team's time anybody who got on that airplane that game was lost because of the head
coach there was some other things they could have done better Baltimore's a good football team
that game's lost because the head coach and maybe it's a ball don't lie situation because of the
opi on on on cd lamb that would have been a pick i think wiggins as soon as he threw it i was like
oh no and cd saved the day and but to me that's just unforgivable i i i can't believe
sometimes that some of these head coaches and we're going to talk about demico ryan's today we talked about
aaron glen last week i can't believe that some of these head coaches do stuff like this because like
it's your one it's your job it's your one job man it's your one job i got to put this on on shoddy and i
got to put this on christian parker um and i got to give credit to the the damn ravens man because
to just believe that you could do that you know that lamar calling the time out on time you know just
just being able to execute in crunch time like that.
Throwing that ball fast enough to allow one second left,
give yourself a chance.
And to complete it and to get down immediately.
But also, too, what you can tell as an ex-player,
what you can tell is as guys who play for a coach in college,
Algrove, where he was big on every single practice,
like we were prepared for almost every situation
that would or wouldn't happen in a crunch time football game.
And you can kind of tell that the Ravens have been
coached up and they've been running drills and they've been doing that in practice that it looked
like it was normal to them. Hey guys. Yeah, but the thing you never have in practice is you never
are like, yeah, we're going to get man coverage. Yeah. I get, go on. No, I hear you. Go on. I hear you. But I'm
just like. But let me play devil's advocate there. Sure. What if I'm on defense and we're like,
coach, like for the game, we want man. I want a man up. Like, what if it, what if it's,
Hey, like, hey, I want to man up.
I want to win the game.
I want to be the guy to get the PBU.
I'd put one hand on that player's shoulder and say, shut the fuck up.
Yeah.
Like, with a smile on my face.
Like, dude, I, you know, I'm not sure what the call is there, but it ain't that.
It's not that.
And so I hate to see such a thriller come down to bad football, which it ought, you know,
what did Trent Dill first say one time and he got fried for it?
was it Trent Delfrey he was like you know you can you can lose games and not win them in the
NFL or win games and not lose them or whatever but he's fucking right dude he's right
because this is it's the simplest things I mean it takes a goal line stand it takes like
honestly you know very unlikely things to happen for you to beat this football team and you know
to reward yourself for putting yourself in a position you do that and so Derek Henry
on the toss plays I thought
like the perimeter stuff to me I'm watching Declan Doyle and I'm saying yeah this is
Trent Dilfer you cannot lose games in the NFL and still win I don't know what that means
but I kind of feel like it has something to do with it at the end of this fucking
hard to argue and Tom Jackson's looking at him like yeah he's fucking right he's he's
bars man but bars but here's the deal um I thought Doyle had a good game plan for them in
the run game where, you know, revels out there at corner.
I think sometimes they're picking on him with the perimeter runs,
but they're also getting out of some of these five-man and odd fronts.
And Quentin Williams is doing a really good job.
He played well.
You know, if you're looking at bright sides for the Cowboys,
like Quentin Williams balled out,
Barham, obviously the goal line stands incredible.
That guy has got incredible football instincts.
They also, he blew up a play on the two-man surface side of an eye formation
where the fullback is supposed to get.
him and he just cave that shit and like he he's got a chance to be special for
those night like i love a next man up situation because everyone's excited for overshone and how
good he was but the parody of the NFL when guys get hurt like hey and for this guy to step up you you
know this might be your only chance he's the green dot too is a rookie which is crazy yeah he's got a lot
going on he's got a tongue going on every play and then to go out and execute in a high leverage
spot like that amazing for him and it's just one of those things maybe he forces
himself into the rotation somewhere when overshone does get back no he's going to play for a long
time and overshone like listen overshone's got a lot of i'm always high on him because he's got like
crazy upside but like it doesn't always translate to every down football this guy to me on early downs
is is is is a stud and um and no gloves finger tape and then throwing up twice before a play
puking before the play the guys he's a he's a monster but but you know talking about the middle of
field for Dallas, like what Baltimore did really well, too, is they found the matchups for Zay Flowers.
And that was a huge addition to their offense. Like, he is a huge swing guy for them. He's a huge
swing guy for them. And, you know, like, they did a great job of just putting him in people's
zones and manipulating middle, middle field defenders, linebackers. Like, it is just a bad
matchup. So the thing that Baltimore's got to worry about now is with Poachich going down and some of the
they have on the interior.
Like, that's the one place we said.
I don't know if they can overcome that, like, offensibly.
I'm not saying, like, they can't because they did last night,
but it's going to be a lot harder,
especially when you let Linderbaum go,
and then, you know, like, the replacement is hurt.
And so I just, when it comes to Dak Prescott,
do we absolve him of this thing?
Like, you know, is it his fault?
You know, you lose a shootout like that,
and the coach blows the game.
I'd like to see them be better on that final snap down in the red zone.
I know it's a look-dependent throw, but like I also don't love the call.
I'm not a big fan of just throwing the fade.
I also understand that like there's some people that say you should have run more time off
before running that last snap.
I don't know what down that was.
Was it third down?
What was it there?
Where they threw that fade?
I think it was third down.
But it wasn't good.
like to me you know you've got uh cd lamb matched up on on a dude over there on the left side of
the football field and i i just don't now the the thing is fade you're not going to get tackled
in bounds you throw you throw the and that's the thing you worry about because with 14 seconds
to go at that point and i don't know if that you're talking about the the chandler chanler rivers
match yeah chanler rivers match up in the slot cdie lams sitting over there on him they don't
even look at them because they just predetermined they're going there and i understand because if you get sacked
The game's probably over, right?
But to me, you know, if you're going to not run the clock down to leave less time for the Ravens,
then why are you not being more aggressive or calling your best play?
Because to me it would seem like, oh, we left some clock on just in case we got sacks
so we could spike the football, which usually takes about 10 seconds after like a first down.
You saw the Rams doing about 8, 10 seconds last night.
Like, I don't know if you get sacked, maybe it's a six second process.
I think you just have to drill it into Dax's head that he can't get sacked and you have to run a play.
You have to run a play.
And they got the run game going, which, you know, like if you're looking at the Ravens defense,
if there's one unit I'm like not that impressed with, it's the Ravens defense.
Like as far as like a defense that was supposed to have a high ceiling, I also think it's a new coordinator.
The safety play's not great.
It's going to take a minute.
But I also am not like overly impressed with the front.
I'm just not.
So, you know, like a mixed bag for the Ravens, mixed bag for the Cowboys.
We're the Ravens defense, whatever that means at this point.
It's on the players.
Who said that?
Who said it?
Kyle Hamilton.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Whatever that means at this point.
That's a crazy thing.
And that's an indictment because that that means that internally they feel like,
hey, we're not living up to that standard.
Yeah.
And they haven't been for a while.
And I think because sometimes you look at them and there's this association with great defense.
And, you know, I think you've got some.
great players, Kyle Hamilton being the one.
Yeah.
You trade for Trey Hendrickson, who's a factor, but he ain't Max Crosby, and you didn't get
that, you didn't get Max Crosby.
It didn't cost you to two, two, one, so that's great and everything.
But, you know, like, I don't think Roquan Smith is the player he was five years ago.
You know, Wiggins is awesome.
You know, they've got some good football players, but I just don't, I don't love their
defense.
Unfortunately for Lamar, who bawled out what it mattered yesterday, he's got to win some of these games 31, 28.
And it's not a unique undertaking in the NFL, like some teams have to outscore people, but I don't think this Ravens defense has the ceiling that maybe we thought it did before the season.
Lots of mistackles for him yesterday.
13 after they had 13 mistackles after six in each of their first two games yeah 67% of people in the chat
agree with Trent Dilfer there's a good poll there so glad that the people are tapped in um
like to hear from the other third yeah but but Baltimore did do a good job on keeping the
explosives down at points in this game like there was a long period of time where the cowboys
passing game just wasn't that potent and and I think
thought also for the Cowboys pickings, some of those contested catches, good to feed him,
because who knows where his head's at if he's not getting the football, you know,
go all the way down to Rio and no get the football that's going to piss you off.
Pretty spot there in Rio, though.
Yes.
More games, though.
Yes, absolutely.
I think the grass held up okay.
I mean, like sometimes we're guilty of being too cynical, and I don't blame us because
we've seen some of the playing.
So like the Eagles game, Eagles and Green Bay a couple years ago, that was much worse.
Yeah.
You know, definitely a couple guys slipped in that sort of thing.
But I thought, you know, they got through it.
And I was looking at like JJ Wilde.
Like he was a propagandist.
He was down there in the field like, hey, man, it looks fine to me.
I'm like, come on.
Come on.
You're working for the man now.
But like, you know, I thought big win for the NFL because this was, I had somebody
texted me last night that this is the best international game ever.
it was pretty good
not if you like defense but it was pretty good
like i i kind of like the jets vikings game a couple years ago
there's a couple that i really you know like that stick in my head but
oh my god the jets broncos game roger bro the jets broncos game in london or whatever that was
yeah
vikings browns last year wasn't a carson versus oh that was great
that was great i'm sorry this wasn't the best internet i love i love all that shit so
Um, anyways, Ravens get the two and one, which is big because the, uh, Bengals lost.
And I'll talk about that in a minute.
Yeah, so everyone, two and one.
Everyone's two and one.
Just like we drew it up.
Um, boy, the Steelers are two and one and it doesn't feel like it, but after yesterday, uh, warning, this product contains nicotine.
Nicotine is an addictive chemical underage sale prohibited.
If you've ever played sports, you know the competition get pretty heated.
Same goes for the all new flavor of zone.
Nicotine pouches including jalapeno lime.
It's a burst of citrus meets a subtle, fiery kick.
Each pouch is a premium nicotine experience with intensity and flavor that lasts.
Now available in six and nine milligrams.
We want to learn about zone nicotine pouches.
Visit zone.
And remember to join the loyalty zone for exclusive rewards and offers.
Good to go, Reed?
Good to go.
Okay.
Cincinnati Bengals, they find a way to lose it in Pittsburgh.
That is a tough place for the Bengals.
to play. I just, you know, like, I thought this matchup was going to be different. The thing I didn't
think about was the fact that, and there's a lot I want to talk about with this game that I thought
it was so interesting. The Steelers skill position players are so much more physical than the Bengals
defensive skill position players. And I think that played out majorly in this game. I think it plays out
in the run game on the perimeter. I think it plays out at the catch point. I think it plays out in all
types of situations the Bengals defense got out toughed.
After a week, did we get duped last week after thinking that they were going to get better?
Their defense and how physical, at least they looked in the run game last week.
Well, yeah, but here's the deal.
Pittsburgh got to a different ways.
And that was what was smart.
Like, they didn't just say, hey, like, you know, Nick Cayley's like, let me just run the
ball at Dexter Lawrence on every key down.
Like, McCarthy and Aaron Rogers kind of got after him, and they got after him schematically,
and they picked on people, and they got the ball in the preempt.
perimeter. And so, like, you know, there's also the compounding effect of like, and early in the
season, we're all going to do it. I don't think the Bengals defense is a bad defense, but, you know,
like, we're going to, we're going to ride the wave with certain realities that we accept as,
as real. And, you know, you're judging off of 33% sample size in one week after week three,
or, you know, a week ago, it was, it was just like half, half the season is one day. So, like,
When Cincinnati plays the Bucks, who just participated in one of the worst offensive football games of all time,
and couldn't outscore the Browns, and you're thinking, hey, like, they held the Texans down offensively, which right now is like...
Yeah, it's shaping up.
Yeah. And then you get in this game, and people are looking at the Steelers like, oh, maybe they stink.
You know, but they played an underrated Atlanta D.E.
defense week one, right? And then last week, who'd they play? Come on, guys, you got to have
a better memory than me. I got 400 games on my mind. Are we going to the internet for this?
Somebody in the chat, who'd the Steelers play last week? Patriots. Patriots.
That's right. They played the Patriots. Who's got a pretty good defense. I didn't look like it
yesterday. But, I mean, like, that's a, that's a tougher matchup for the Steelers. They get in this
game and you know like um i just thought again McCarthy rogers took goldie's lunch a little bit
uh his lunch money stealers did not have to pound it right at dexter lawrence they found explosives
on the left edge all day long and you know dugger was in there because um because they're down of
safety so some of the second level run fits um was it turner was having a hard time out there
um they were even abysmal even like i have the word abysmal written down you know how bad it
has to be for me to use a fucking SAT word like abysmal.
Ultimately, I think the Steelers' advantage of this matchup is a QB.
You can attack man coverage.
So this isn't going to get a lot easier the next time they play.
Like, they had some really creative bunch releases and stack releases that they had trouble
sorting.
There were blown coverages.
There were guys late in the down, just dropping coverages, like falling asleep.
They did play action insert in the red zone and just safety just totally drops the guy
that was inserting through the B gap.
So there was just a ton of bad stuff that the Bengals put on tape.
And I also don't think like the Bengals Pass Rush did a great job.
Like, and again, like last year when you whiff on Shamar Stewart and I'm not saying I'm going to bury the kid, but like, and it's not Shamar Stewart's fault.
If you couldn't see that he didn't know how to use his hands on tape in college, like, and you thought magically he'd be able to use his hands in the pro like pros, that's not Shamar Stewart's fault for getting picked in the first round.
It's kind of your fault, right?
So, you know, and Cassius Howell is a good player, but he's not like ready to be like an ace.
Mafet is a really good rusher, but like the sum of the parts just didn't add up.
And I also thought for the, for the Steelers, like the rookie they put in a tackle, Ahanachor.
He looked pretty good.
He's got good feet.
So the Steelers have gotten better up front like Quiet as kept, moved on from the Broderick Jones era.
And I thought Rogers did a good job.
man like they hadn't hit a deep ball all year and this game could have been even worse and so um i was
impressed with the but you know they do things with jalen warren was huge because at one point you know
you're saying jalen warren's not going to play in this game he was enormous for them at one point like
this is the first play of the game and this kind of encapsulates the mindset going in for the stealers
they just dump it down to jaylon warren's zone coverage and they release fire mooth immediately to go
be his lead blocker and he just decletes somebody and then you know like washington's got the ball on the right
sideline and there are people changing speeds there's people just praying he steps out of bounds like
please please mr washington step out of bounds so i don't have to go fucking tattoo you or try to tattoo you
there were just people hoping to get him down and so like this was they got punched in the face here
like this was a this was a jumping and um and so good on the steelers the time to throw for
Aaron rogers 3.19 seconds wow um so again it comes down to the physicality the skill guys
since he's offense although this is the most damning
out I've ever heard. Joe Burroughs now 1 in 34 trailing in the last eight minutes of the NFL game.
That, that to me sounds like a typo, but it's not. And, you know, as good a quarterback as I think
he is, like, that is some damning shit right there, dude. And you can't say you don't have the
weapons to come back and win football games. I mean, like yesterday, throughout most of the game,
and Patrick Graham deserves his credit, because I thought he tightened the screws down a little
bit at the right times but he's just and this is his rep he let burrow pick apart zone coverage they
tried to funnel chase but he got his catches like it's going to be impossible to bottle him up um and then
ultimately i thought the bengals got whipped on key downs in the second half they went two of six on
third down in the second half they got stuffed on a third and two heyward walked fair child back on
another one the game winner harman treats risner like a damn like a traffic cone dude so it's like
the guys up front won this game for the Steelers defensively,
and the skill guys won it for them offensively,
like the physicality of the front defensively
and the skill guys offensively.
Patrick Graham, pretty good day at the office.
The one thing I want to say,
and I'm not saying Patrick Graham was great,
but like considering who's on the field, like, we'll take it.
You gotta win in crunch time, they won in crunch time.
One fat, fun matchup for me, and I had it circled,
was Mims on Watt.
And I know Watt's not the same.
guy was like five seven years ago but he's still t j wott and you still circle him in the game
plan amarius mims and there were 30 pass rush snaps that wad had i watched them all watched the game
went back and watched pass rush snaps mims is going to be an all pro this year like it's lane is
always the the the right tackle that i'm like you just pencil them in if he's healthy but this guy's
fucking incredible and and you know he's right he's not right behind him but he's behind him somewhere and
and i and just the physicality in the run game that this guy offers you and um and mims i kind of wish
they didn't help him at all they helped him with some chip help naturally because i think he could
have blocked him 30 times on his own i mean there were it wasn't he wasn't challenged and that that's
not a i'm not this isn't the t j wats wash thing i got the utmost responsibility
for tj watt but mims is that good right now he's that good he's like a 1990s lockdown tackle
dude he's got the profile of a guy like that you know one of those throwback tackles now i said all that
probably next week he's gonna beat for three sacks because that's the way this thing works is kind of the
kiss to death but i think he he looks fucking incredible is there anything you've seen on tape from him
that would inform you as a former past rush rush like what would be your past rush plan who if i had to
rush mim because i was a left end he's a right tackle i'm trying to get him vertical
I'm probably going to hit him with some stab spin.
I'm probably going to hit him with some counters up and under.
I'm going to try to stay out of that damn bear trap.
Because when you get in that guy's chest,
you're inside of another world, dude.
Like he's just like, come here.
You know, he's just got the length.
You want to stay out of you.
Now, you could possibly time his punch and swipe him down,
but I'm pretty sure like there's certain punchers that when I swipe their arms down,
it felt like I broke my arm.
Like there were just some guys like that.
He looks like one of those guys.
So your best bet is to low him to sleep and beat him with a counter.
Or just to get an insane jump on the ball, you know,
time things up well.
But he's an incredible, incredible talent.
This win, both these wins by Steelers and Ravens,
what I think they played Thursday night this week is big time early.
Yeah.
Early game.
Yeah.
It's going to be fun.
Oh, yeah.
Is there a tight end that's in the league that's more fun to watch with the ball in terms
No.
Collisions than Mount Washington?
No.
No.
He bounced someone's head off the turf.
He's leaving, like he's speed bumping people.
Yeah, it's a great point to bring it up, too.
You mentioned the shot plays they were able to hit.
The other number that stuck out to me from this performance from the Steelers' offense was 8.4 yards,
but they averaged after the catch.
Yeah.
It's the actuary.
Like you look at the personnel that have Washington, Pittman, Warren, Friam, Mek-Kaff.
These are all guys who are hard to tackle in space.
So, yeah.
That's kind of, I think, the key to see.
access for them offensively. Also a really good matchup for that offense. Watching it back, I was like,
okay, this makes a lot of sense. So I want to see the Steelers be able to do this to more people than one
before I make them the AFC favorite, respectfully. But I thought, I thought they own this matchup
on that side of the ball. That would be you got to lick your wounds and come back stronger.
Bengals are six and 50 when trailing after the third quarter under Zach Taylor. It's wild.
Bengals literally lick their wounds in the wild. That's what they're supposed to do, dude.
I said it about the lions last week.
All the cat teams got to look their wounds, man.
The lions lick their wounds, bro.
They had extra time to let them heal, too.
So we'll talk about them a little bit.
It's getting louder for Joe Burrow staying in, staying in Cincinnati.
No, dude, they're two and one.
They, like, listen, they.
Look at them from the last, what, four years in September?
This is the best September they've had.
We just, we got to ditch this quarterback over analysis culture.
And we do it on this show, but like, we try.
I tried to do it in a sense of like what happened this week.
And yeah, I think I need to get better about certain quarterbacks.
I just need to quit them cold turkey.
Like Herbert, I just like, bro, when you do it, you can't quit it.
No, I'm done.
I've been done for three weeks now.
When you do it, I'll give you your props.
But until then, I'm not going to do the same thing every week and say,
why does this keep happening because it's who you are right now, right?
I say by week six you're back to Herbert Reefat.
Fuck no.
There's no way because they're out of it.
No amount of good play is no amount of good play and we're getting into charges in Buffalo right now.
This is perfect.
There's no amount of good play from him or improvement because of the whole they've dug for their for their team.
Like it just doesn't matter.
And I don't see it like he's built a profile now long enough where yes, I can defend him as and this is the problem I hate is like,
It's overblown.
When Joe Public gets on a player that they hate,
they blame everything on the player.
It's not always all his fault.
But he ain't elite, and we can't have those conversations.
I don't want to hear that shit.
I don't want to say that shit.
You won't get, and I got something for you in a little bit about the Jags.
Okay.
Well, the bills.
But the bills, bro.
Are the bills just that good of a team?
I think that's the question.
To overcome, bro, five turnovers and ten penalties is crazy.
crazy i think it's a little bit of both i think it's i think it's the bills are really good and i think
the charges are really bad it's just really bad because the bill's like okay and i go through
these they had three turnovers on their first uh four possession to start the game and i'll tell you
what happened um interior offensive lines getting abused a little bit josh got a little frantic you
could tell it was one of those days when we sat down and people were like we were talking about
this game and i was like i wouldn't touch the bills with a 50-foot pole because i just know josh well enough
to know like he's due for one of these and it kind of feels like one of these sleepy games
It's almost like you just know it happens every, every month, maybe once.
And, you know, like it'll happen for a quarter sometimes,
but this happened for a while in this football game.
And I think the interior offensive line was getting beat a little bit.
He got a little frustrated.
You know, I think Chris O'Leary's group took a big step.
If you want a positive about the Chargers in this game,
you'd be dead honest with you.
I thought it was Chris O'Leary's group.
You know, being able to confuse him a little bit,
vary their looks.
there was one on the pick where the safety came down and picked uh picked uh picked uh
pick jesus smith jesus smith great name great great name great name
that was legitimately a confusing coverage for me because on one side i think josh looked left
and saw cover four and then look back to the field and then the safety comes down and robs him
I asked two professional defensive backs what they were, what this coverage was.
Two different answers.
Two very good professional defensive backs.
I texted them.
I said, what the fuck is the coverage?
Because it looked like an exchange responsibility cover six where it's four on one side
and two responsibilities exchanged on the other side.
And then I had one guy tell me it was three buzz and they were doing it from disguise.
And then the other guy's telling me it's a cover four adjustment to trips for them.
So, you know, like, whatever it is, Chris O'Leary fooled the fuck out of Josh.
And Genesis Smith comes down and plays the hole where, you know, you're thinking there's
going to be a void there and there's not.
And to me, I thought it was a very clever disguise.
You saw the half field safety or the quarter, the quarter safety on one side is kind of playing
it like he's going to stay.
He's not the middle of field safety.
It ended up being, if it ended up being three buzz, he's the middle of the field safety.
but he's real late to the middle of the field.
And the buzz players usually is coming straight down, as I understand it,
big dumb D-Ly linemen.
But in this scenario, Genesis Smith, he jets down to the hole.
And so I just think little adjustments like that,
you never know.
That's why we're always like, hey, what coverage are they in?
I asked two NFL defensive backs,
and some fans are so sure they know what coverage it is.
And they both had different answers.
These guys play to combine 25 years in the league.
And so that to me is like,
hey, that's pretty good disguise, whatever it is.
And Josh can't put it there.
I'm not absolving him or making an excuse what I'm saying.
It's Chris O'Leary's group came to play.
And that front is pretty good, man.
Like, that front is going to cause a lot of people problems.
And if they can get the coverage down behind it,
then they're starting to build on defense.
It's going to be a sickening game to watch on tape as a defense.
Because, like, if you just minus the offense and when you're in that room this week
and you're watching all the defensive snaps and you're watching how well you guys.
guys played, your safety had two interceptions,
Khalil Mack is strip sack, like all these things are going your way.
And your quarterback gets in the red zone.
Except for the score.
Yeah.
And literally except for the score.
And that like that hurts with a team right now that's struggling and you're like
waiting for your offense to pop or something to happen.
Yeah.
To have a defensive game like that where realistically you look at the stats,
like you win, you win probably 75.
Like what's the turnover ratio?
You probably win.
It's probably nuts.
The only other team that fit the bill for statistically what happened yesterday with
the turnovers in that game.
There were two other instances.
And at first I was like, damn, what are the odds that happened to the Chargers?
Then I found out all three are the Chargers.
Chargering.
It's a verb for a reason.
And so, yeah, like, there's offensive problems.
I could do another deep dive on the Chargers offense.
But, like, there's no point.
They're not going to be relevant.
They're not relevant if they start the season, O and three.
And there's going to be other O and three teams like the Texans that I actually have more
hope for because at least they have a really dominant thing.
they can hang their hat on the quarterback's out playing Justin Herbert.
C.J. Stroud is playing better than Justin Herbert.
So, you know, like, but for the charges with the division they're in
and kind of who they are and the way they lose close games.
It could get real ugly quick for them.
It could get real ugly quick.
And I'm about tired of all the, like, the Harbaugh stuff.
And, you know, like, I just, so I think the point is the bills are so good
because they have that life preserver of the run game,
where if things aren't going great for your quarterback,
and he's great, he's Josh, but he's having a bad time.
And they chunked off a bunch of explosive runs.
James Cook's incredible.
I retweeted something last night about his shin angle or basically his plant angle on a cut.
You know, it's amazing.
If you read, if you could find that, it was, I want to credit the guy that picked it up.
It was on my tweet.
It was on my tweet.
It was on my Twitter feet.
It was on my boom.
He's searching my name and shit.
All right.
Go ahead.
Yeah, look at this shit right here.
Look at this shit right here.
I want to credit the guy also that found this,
but this is unbelievable to see it'll get there.
Watch this next step.
Watch his left leg.
His left ankle is like a solid two feet out in front of,
like I can't even do that.
Can you do that at home?
No, that's why we're not James Cook, dude.
like the subtle differences between the most special athletes on the planet and like even good pros
that's it right there like little things like that he is he's a special back he's a full speed here too
he's a special back and he got out matt waldman on twitter matt waldman he now the fumbling's got to
stop but the second pick i will say this uh you talk about officiating i'm convinced josh thinks he
has a free play and i took a picture because i'm not allowed to show you film because
god forbid y'all get smarter about football
the NFL doesn't want that but like look at this picture right here i mean it the dudes the dudes
the dudes over the ball when the ball snap josh takes a free play it ends up being um a pick uh and
kinkade's got to just get down we were standing there at at home like dude just fucking get down
who you think you are ironhead heyward bro you're dalton kingcade you know just get down tarheap
a great play. Those guys played big on the defense side of the football, so I want to give
charges fans some positivity. But I think the offense, you know, Justin Herbert, it's more of the
same. Like in the big moments, you got to make those plays. He doesn't. And then I think the,
the Quentin Johnson, and this has nothing to do with how we should view Herbert's day, five
turnovers, you've got to win that game. No question is asked, but Johnson's drop is unforgivable.
You talk about a guy that you picked his option up. And with some of the holes you have on
on your your team i so uh we got daniel jeremiah coming up in a second we'll talk about
houston maybe with daniel i think we'll fuck it we'll talk about houston with daniel i want to
talk about jacksonville dude i i could have seen this game honestly going either way like you know
i thought i was like man you know i got there's there's a case to be made for each thing the way
that trevor looked against pressure last week tight man coverage i thought i thought
maybe that core would have a better bag for him i thought maybe gonzo might follow parker washington
i thought maybe the interior offensive line would continue to kind of play poorly for them none of those
things happened dude and i thought i like listen i think the o line got challenged for jacksonville
and they responded there were some suplexes early early in this game for the run in the run game and
then um you know i i also watching denver back in that game versus
New England's front,
when Jacksonville got heavy in this game
and you had to keep the base unit out there,
New England's front's not that good laterally.
They're not, dude.
They're just not.
And honestly,
the Broncos front plays the piano.
You know, they go up and down the line
and they can move laterally.
Like, you know, like New England's front,
they kind of look like fat guys
when you run them sideways.
Like they've got bad bases
and they're off balance.
And I also think that's a credit to Jacksonville,
the way they run their scheme.
And so I just, I don't think Kourer had his best game.
I would have been more aggressive,
caught in some sim pressures early.
The touchdown, you got a defensive end trying to play that zone.
Not good ponder.
Who had a nice rush or two,
but not a lot of pressure on Trevor Lawrence
outside of manufacturing it.
Middle of the field, the Woodson loss, hurt them.
but you know what else responded to me was was Trevor Lawrence dude
Trevor Trevor was great and the Jags were eight of 12 on third down like it felt like
backbreaking situation for New England after and we'll get to talk about Drake May when we
get in to the Daniel Jeremiah interview because I'm stumped I really am like I'm not one of
these people that said he was one of the best three quarterbacks in the on the fucking league last year
I'd hate to have made that take, but there were people that did it.
I've always thought he was a dude.
Like, he's in a dude being like a guy, you can hit your wagon for a franchise.
I still think that guy's in there.
I'm doing this segment before the segment we'll get there.
Talking about this quarterback, though, that 14 to 3 drive that made it 21,
where the game's kind of over at that point if they punched it in,
I thought that encapsulated the whole day for New England,
and it was all about what this installment of the Jacksonville Jaguars is about.
you had the third down he's got yakis draped all over him who's a good player by the way
um and being able to hit that dump down like that's a josh allen kind of throat dude like that's the
strength that sometimes you forget that guy has when you walk up on him and you see him how big he is
you know like you talk about tools that are actually playing out in real time in a good way like
this guy's got tools too the way we talk about herbert i think i think the i believe
Even this guy because of the tools has now moved towards Trevor Lawrence.
And when you pair the scheme with what he's got physically, it's pretty impressive.
And you know what I like about it is?
He played not great last week.
You know, the old Trevor, the Trevor we see from time to time reared his beautiful head, right?
But he got right off it.
He came back in the same looks that gave him trouble last week, did not give him trouble.
This drive, he beat him.
the blitz i think they'll cover one he goes dig de miers on gonzow and the next third down there zeroed up
for real and he gets it off with byard like on him i don't know how he gets it off and then throws two
touchdowns to parker washington and you get parker washington in the slot on on uh marcus jones
that brings truck ready and my man like get it ready for him beautiful beautiful the third and seven
is crazy i don't know if it's opi i'm not sure it wouldn't really matter the game finished
But to come back the next play and just drill it again. Just like literally do it again.
And that to me reflects Liam Cohen's attitude. And that that's the best thing. I think that
after last game and what I love about Liam Cohen and seeing like and him being an ex quarterback,
like he's going to challenge Trevor Lawrence to be the best quarterback that he can be. And I love
that. And it's just about like the way he's responding. And I feel like he acts that way with his coaches too.
And I feel like camp, he maybe felt like, hey, like your defense, like, hey, we need a little bit more production.
Y'all are doing all right.
But, hey, like, keep it up.
Last year, you guys were giving us a few extra possessions.
And I feel like he, everyone involved responds well.
And I just feel like Liam Cohen has that.
Tampa should never let him walk out of the building.
And I'll tell you this.
I mean, like last year, you know, part of it is pushing back on your bit because, you know, we got the back.
Yeah, for sure.
But I also didn't believe it because it's kind of like a prove it kind of league for me.
Yeah.
It's like, I want to see you look like this for a while.
He's looked like this long enough.
Yeah.
If you were a Martian and you landed on Earth and you landed last night at midnight,
and they're like, what do you want to do with your first day?
And you were like, I want to watch all the quarterbacks in the NFL, the last nine games of the NFL of the NFL schedule.
and I want to see who's really good.
And then they're like, yeah, well, here you go.
That beautiful blonde hair.
Dude, if I was a Martian, I'd think he was a top five quarterback.
He's playing like it.
The last 10 games, the last 14 games, whatever it is.
What have you done for me late?
It is, and so it doesn't matter.
And that's where we have to get better about, like, listen, like,
it's pointless to talk about what Trevor the floor looks like.
Yeah.
As long as he's got Liam Cohen, I haven't seen the floor.
Exactly.
And so, you know,
does that mean,
does that mean when they get in the playoffs,
I'm going to be picking the Jags, like, you know, whatever.
No, but I don't know.
It's going to depend on the matchup.
And, you know, this is the problem that, too, like.
As long as they're not playing Josh, you'll pick the Jags.
No, I don't know.
You know, because there have been some performances where the floor can show up.
And it did last year against the bills.
But if you look at the aggregate of his play over the past almost 16 games,
I don't know where it starts or I'm sure we got stats for that.
You actually nailed it at 10 games.
I went back the last 10 regular season games.
Trevor is number one in past rating 105.1.
It's hard to argue with it.
And you can say, oh, well, a lot of it's the play caller or talent or whatever.
And we do this with all the quarterbacks, man.
Like, yeah, Patrick Mahones has Andy Reid.
Well, like, fuck, dude.
It's the way the cookie crumbles, man.
Like, we don't get to change legacies based on where guys played or didn't play.
like that's the NFL, dude.
Like there's a lot of good players that don't get enough credit because they're in bad
schemes or whatever and vice versa.
But this is a good player.
And speaking of players that might not get enough credit,
I want to give a shout out to six-round pick Josh Cameron,
who's been an absolute demon for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Six-round pick at a bailer.
This dude, he plays every single special teams.
He's a kick-returner.
He caught a touchdown pass on offense.
Bro, he, after the touchdown pass runs down on kickoff and,
makes an amazing tackle on kickoff, which I think just as a player, like, that's elite.
Like, you go get a touchdown pass, and maybe you as a rookie, like, pass this year,
like if you're good enough in the offense, you might not be playing kickoff or kickoff return or things like that.
But to be able to catch a touchdown pass and run down and make a tackle, like people might seem like,
oh, that's just football and it's easy, but a lot of guys can't do that.
And just to be a rookie and you're getting your opportunities,
Because hey, I think Brian Thomas Jr. might get a little less reps or like looks like if he's going to keep having the yips.
And if you're a guy that steps up, you make your plays, you get your couple of plays.
This is a second touchdown for him.
So I just want to say shout out to Josh Cameron and keep balling out.
Also shout out to Liam Cohen for finally deciding that maybe we shouldn't play Travis Hunter, 15 plays the game on offense.
Let the guy focus on being an all pro corner.
He's got a better chance of doing that than he does a wide receiver.
And he played five snaps of offense yesterday.
I also think that's good for Brian Thomas Jr.'s psyche.
Yeah.
So anyways.
And great first interception.
Congrats to that.
It's crazy to think.
Travis Hunter, that was only his first one.
But hopefully he'll have a lot more.
Looks like he's going to have a lot, I would think.
Now we've got one of my favorite people joining this show.
We've been having guests every week.
This is a dude that I can really honestly just feel good about,
hey, what happened in this game and know that he's not full of shit and he watched it?
He watches everything.
This is Daniel Jeremiah.
And this is a segment.
by Arena Club.
DJ, what's up, bro?
How you doing, ma'am?
Oh, man, I'm good.
I'm, like, probably like you on Monday.
Like, how do I, how do I compartmentalize everything that just happened?
How do I contextualize all the, you know what I'm saying?
Like, all this nonsense.
Dude, but you're more type A where your notes are probably real neat.
Dude, I, no, I'll be honestly that this is a true story.
My signature is so bad that in California, they've thrown out my votes in the last two elections
because my signatures don't match.
That's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
I mean, Greg Williams used to get on me
about how bad my signature was.
He said, well, that's a mark of a great player
as a good signature.
I know a show of Michael Jordan's signature.
It's not that great.
Hey, DJ, man.
I don't know where to start, dude.
I guess we start with the Jacksonville, New England game
because I was just, I don't know if you heard me,
but I was just kind of talking up Trevor Lawrence.
At this point, it kind of feels like,
And my point was, whatever you thought of him before this run with Liam Cohen.
And I also think he had a really great run a few years ago.
I think it was in 22 or 23 where he played elite football.
It really doesn't matter what happened before because he's got the play caller now.
And I haven't seen the floor show up.
Where are you on Trevor at this point?
Yeah, I mean, he fits into the little theory I've had for a long time, which is,
unless you have like the three P's in place, like it's tough to judge a quarterback.
You have to have a play caller, protection, and playmakers.
If you're missing one of those three things,
it's like an incomplete evaluation.
So for a long time,
he just didn't have the right fit and the right mix there,
and now he's got it.
And it's not like this guy didn't have pedigree.
I mean,
it's like one of the highest rated quarterbacks
come out in the draft.
Like in, you know, over 10 to 12 year period of time,
if you were just ranking the highest graded players,
you know, entering into the draft process,
it's going to be up there in the top three or four.
Like, he was incredibly talented.
So now it's kind of got those pieces in place.
And the other thing I would say is,
when you watch him, there was a period of time
where his confidence was shot.
He was making simple things look hard,
and you're like, that's not normal.
And now he's making some of the harder things look simple.
He's playing great, man.
Yeah, it's fun to watch.
They also have the run game,
which they've kind of like pivoted away from A. Chan, I should say.
Pretty, I wouldn't say seamlessly,
but they ran the ball kind of authoritatively yesterday,
and that was a big disappointment for New England.
But I think the biggest disappointment,
to me was obviously Drake May's play.
And I feel for the guy because I really like him
and I think everybody really likes him
and recognizes what a great dude he is
and how tools he is.
I mean, like, how do you go from some people ready
to crown him as the best quarterback in the league
to this year where it's like he's a shell of his former self?
How much is explainable when you watch
with the three P's and how much of it is his mental, in your opinion?
Well, I think with him, like I was watching,
I went through all his picks this morning because I was like,
is there something that's like a through line here, like that you see?
And two things.
Number one is I think he's making a lot of assumptions,
which is dangerous where it's like he'll be trying.
He's looking left and he feels like just because I'm looking left,
I'm going to pull the safety.
And so I'm just blind turning back and ripping it.
Well, you're playing the Seattle Seahawks.
Like that safety ain't moving off of your posture.
And he throws it into danger.
So you've got some of the assumption stuff that's got him.
and then the reckless stuff.
You have the pick at the end of the game against Seattle.
Well, that's just reckless.
Like, you know the game you're in.
You have to manage that game.
They don't have their starting quarterback.
It's a low-scoring game.
You kick the field goal.
You extend the game.
You have the better chance of winning that football game.
And then in the Jacksonville game,
he's rolling right at the two-yard line
and fires it back into the middle of the field.
Like, this is like junior high stuff.
Like, this guy was a run-up for the MVP last year.
We're playing at an incredibly high level.
I got asked in the summer,
like, if you looked at all these young quarterbacks,
who would you want to build around for the next 10 years?
And I'm like, well, how do you not say Drake May?
Like with the success that he's had,
he can do everything.
He's super athletic.
He's a great kid, as you mentioned.
He's smart.
He's tough.
And it felt like he's just going to climb.
And I kind of,
maybe it's my fault a little bit from the expectations of they started playing
those better defenses after a soft schedule and his play tailed off.
And I,
and,
Chris,
I was like,
dude, that's just,
what do you can do this?
Like, look at the defenses that he's going against.
Like,
that's a tall order.
And a lot of that stuff carried over.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, no, and then not having AJ out there.
Like you kind of build everything in the off season around him.
I do think he's got the play caller.
McDaniels is really, really good.
And he's had success with him there.
So you don't worry about that.
I think the offensive line's better.
I just think to me it's a confidence thing.
And then, you know, I'd be curious if, like, you talk to him and got, like, the real answers.
It feels like he's assuming.
He's assuming a lot, man.
Instead of seeing it, he's just kind of assuming and getting himself in trouble.
Yeah, which sounds like press.
at times to me like as a player sometimes if i was pressing i do and this is totally unrelated to
quarterback play but i'd do some unsound chip because i was trying to make a play because for whatever
reason i hadn't made a play in a game or two or whatever um and so you end up in these situations
where you do something you say why would why would i do that in a split second and you know i think
the other thing is and you touch it on you play if you play a great coordinator uh if a defense
plays a great coordinator it kind of undresses the great defense or
undresses the defense to where it's like, okay, well, I see the cracks. I see, you know, he picked on this player. Like, let's, let's, the saying was always like, for certain things schematically, especially the run game. Like, if you don't get it right, it's never going away. Like, if we don't get this right, guys, I don't tell you how many times. You can see it every week. You can see it every week. Because in this league, they'll just keep spamming you with the same things. And I wonder how much of it is. You play five great defenses or whatever it was. And all of a sudden, like, they are exposing vulnerability.
and people now have, I hate the oversimplified,
well, they got the blueprint on how to beat that quarterback.
Like, the league figured them out.
Like, there is some truth to that.
And I'm sure playing these good defensive coordinators and defense,
it doesn't help.
Don't you connect those two quarterbacks, though,
like Trevor's pedigree coming out,
Drake had the pedigree coming out.
Yeah.
I mean, it's also just like we have this expectation
that it's just this linear climb for these quarterbacks.
And we see it from week to week in this league.
Like, I was just in Buffalo for the Charger game.
and like Josh's playing out of his mind crazy football.
Like nobody's, he's on his own planet.
And they turn the ball over a bazillion times in that game.
So it's just, it's not just a clean ride.
I thought O'Leary did a really good job.
I was talking about that a couple minutes ago.
I thought they took a big step forward.
And you, you cover the charges a lot.
So we won't get into the Herbert thing.
I'll spare you because that's just like at this point.
I'm tired of it.
But, but I do want to ask you about a couple games yesterday.
Seattle, you just talked about Seattle,
and the great defense they have.
And I was so impressed with David Blow.
I'm always impressed with Mario Tau, as we say.
Because I feel like, and I guess I'll open with this,
and then I'll ask you about the game,
but is he kind of that backup quarterback that you say,
why doesn't he get a gig to be a bridge?
Why hasn't he gotten that gig to be a bridge, like, lately?
Because every time I feel like he's in,
he does elevate the offense.
I mean, he can play off script
unlike most backup quarterbacks. He makes good decisions. He made some really good throws,
some nice hole shots yesterday. He's got the arm still. Do you think he gets another chance to
be somebody starting quarterback at some point? The time's kind of running out. Yeah, I mean,
he was good in this game. It was efficient and like just toughness hanging in the pocket. Like
there was kind of a no fear, no flinch and hanging in there and delivering the ball. And he still
moves around a little bit and has some of that athleticism. Timing was good with McLaren down the field.
He rips that bender in the middle of the field of Birx for a touchdown.
down like he did a lot of really good things there um 32 i've always felt with what's that
he's 32 though yeah he's 32 yeah but he still that doesn't mean he can't i mean cousins is
to have a heck of a bridge season yeah yeah heck of a bridge season so now i wouldn't put that
past him and like just to give you one quick story on him i don't i've never ever told this story
before but um there was this is gosh maybe maybe maybe seven to eight years ago something like that
maybe even a little longer but there was a tragedy of my kids school where like the
kids got in a car accident. They were hit by a drunk driver and a couple of kids passed away.
And someone that survived the crash, the dad I got to know a little bit and he was a huge Oregon fan.
So I found a Marioita's agent, Marioita's agent, and I'd reach out to him. I said, I've never done this before, but this is such a, I just want to do something for this kid.
Like, this is such an awful situation. Dude, he sent like the night, like the, he sent this voicemail of like, or like a video of himself for like two minute video to this kid.
And I'm like, if you saw that, and nobody ever knows that kind of stuff that goes on.
I'm like, this is like an all-time go out of your way, great human being.
Yeah, he's, he's, he's, I've never met somebody that didn't like him to play with him.
And he was big yesterday.
And I thought the Blau calls were, were awesome in crunch time.
Tomlin called it out on the Sunday night football broadcast.
But, you know, like some of these third down calls, third and long and handing the ball off and, you know, running the ball and some of the counterpunches.
He, I thought, I thought, I thought Blow had a great day at the office.
but from the Seattle point of view,
is there anything to worry about or is it just,
hey, we've got safeties down?
Yeah, I've been a huge love fan, Julian Love fan.
I felt like he's like one of the more underappreciated players in the league.
He's literally one of the top handful of safeties in the league.
He does everything, and he's incredibly smart
and kind of a glue piece of holding that thing together communication-wise.
It looked like they missed him.
I mean, that was my takeaway.
I don't want to take anything away from Washington and what they did,
but that didn't feel like the Seattle defense that you used to see in.
Yeah, underrated player for sure.
and I thought the Hawks ate up front.
I mean, it was crazy to me.
99 is such a bad dude, man.
He's a bad dude.
Oh, my gosh.
He's awesome.
He is awesome.
He's got some creative player to him.
He looks like he's outsized.
He doesn't look like that's a normal size human being and moving like he does.
No, and good for a guy who spent a lot of time with the Jets to get to enjoy a lot of success,
the back half of his career and a lot of notoriety that I thought he deserved early on.
so yeah
Seattle will be fun
I think the most important thing
was that Darno look good
yeah he just had a couple
turnovers but I mean
they're explosive and dynamic
and nobody can cover JSM
can I give my weird
I don't say it's a hot take
but my takeaway from this week
that after watching all these games
I was thinking about JSN
if you were going to look at it
and like rank toughest covers in the league right
and so obviously JSN
Justin Jefferson are going to be in that conversation
I challenge anyone to watch
what Brock Bowers did in that game and tell me he's not one of the three or four toughest
covers in the league. They had Kool-Aid McKinchey on him the whole game and he turned him inside
out. Like he had the three yards of separation did whatever he wanted to against him.
Brock's a dog. Like it's, it's hard for me because Tray McBride is, I guess he'd be hard to unseat
as the best in the league right now. But I think Brock's got like, there's a danger. I'd take
Bowers, dude. Dude, there's a, I love Tray McBride. I'll take Bowers. That moves different.
I got killed over saying this summer.
I thought he's in line to be the best in the game.
But I don't know what it is.
I think it's that top end rack.
I mean, McBride's got the rack too.
But I mean, like this guy's got a jetpack.
This guy looks like a bigger, faster Amman Rae St. Brown.
Like that's what he looks like.
He's playing tight end.
He's incredible.
He can run every route.
There's no, my thing is I'm watching JSN and how he's unbelievable.
And I'm not saying he does.
everything like JSN does, but I'm saying you could call, if you're Kubiak and you had JSN
and you were calling plays for him last year, you can put him in that same spot and call those
same routes and same plays with this guy. Like that's crazy.
The slot receiver just happens to be 6-5-240 or whatever he is and run out of 4-5 or 5.
Or might be faster. I don't know. Okay, so the other thing this week was there was a lot of
the lions are dead. They're not the same without Ben Johnson.
And if I had to see that take one more time, I was going to, I mean, obviously, Ben Johnson leaving, that set them back a year. And they, you know, they whiffed on the higher. I actually like the petting hire. And, you know, as you're sitting there in a football game against the Buffalo Bills where I haven't seen a defense look that badly in a prime time in a long time. Like, it was like bills were doing whatever they wanted. And I'm hearing people say, they miss Ben Johnson. And I'm saying to myself, like, they're missing three out of the five starting offensive linemen. The problem really isn't even offense. They've scored.
30 plus points the first three games of the season for the first time in the franchise's history.
I'm not saying they're that good offensively, but I don't think the offense is going to be
a huge problem for them. What say you after seeing them yesterday? And did you see anything better
defensively from them? Oh, defensively, it still scares the credit out of me. I mean,
I don't think they have, they don't have the dudes on the outside. That is very concerning. But offensively,
what they're doing with Gibbs is so much fun to watch. Like, you know, put him in the slot,
splitting him out wide. They went empty and just hit him like on a one step, slant, let him run with it.
And then there's so many times where either he's out of the backfield or he's in the slot
and he's got these option routes with three-way goes. And I'm like, this is just, who's covering,
who's covering this guy? And they create space for him. I mean, it's a nightmare. So that they're
going to be able to, they're going to score points and they're going to 30, 30 a game. You mentioned it
for three straight games. That's not what it might take. Yeah. They feel like the Cincinnati teams of,
was it last year where since he had all those games.
they lost scoring 30 points.
You know, like how's it seemed possible?
But they got the run game where, I mean, since he had that with Chase Brown,
but it's just another level.
Like when they get this thing right, and I think Petzing,
Petting didn't get enough credit for,
I know Clayton Adams was a big part of whatever happened in Arizona
when they were really rolling,
but like, I thought Petting was also calling really good football games,
and you had the one really down year due to injuries and that sort of thing.
I'm excited to see, I'm excited to see them get some, like,
rhythm with their starting five.
Like, you know, when you're in the third game of the season and Blake Miller and who else was out last week?
I mean, Mahogany.
Mahogany was out.
Like, they've had to roll some guys and they didn't expect to play.
I also think Jus Scruggs is playing pretty well for them, ironically.
I know, center.
Yeah.
So, you know, the defensively, the one thing I wanted to say to Lions fans, I like Izzy.
And I thought he was a bright spot for them yesterday.
And Ray Straw actually hung in there.
And Shepard Blitz rate went from 55 to 11, so he's aware of the problem.
You know what I'm saying?
Like he's aware that they'll help me.
Yeah, you know, like maybe help the back end.
Let the rush win a little bit more.
And I love Aleem and Hutch and those guys.
So that was a big win for them.
The Jets, man, I'm going to talk about the Browns in a little bit,
but I feel like the Jets are,
I know you can't see it right now because of the coaching snafu last week.
And the fact they couldn't pull this game out yesterday,
but they're getting better.
Like they're like from a roster standpoint,
I think the Jets are close to being pretty exciting.
like a couple teams in the NFL, a quarterback away, right?
And Gino's fine.
Gino's actually looked fine, but I know that he's not going to be the five-year answer for
him.
What do you see when you look at that Jets roster and where they can be in a year?
Well, I've talked to Orlovsky about this of the day because I was like,
if you're saying, like, laying the foundation for a quarterback next year,
and you looked at kind of the obvious teams and, you know, Cleveland, the Jets,
it was, gosh, who was?
There was a bunch of other teams that we were kind of going through.
But we're talking about the Jets as being maybe the most ideal landing spot for a quarterback.
Sadiq was awesome yesterday.
He was.
Like, you've got him, you've got Garrett.
Like, those are legit dudes who can win.
You've got young, some good, young, talented offensive lineman.
Two tackles are really gifted, you know.
So there's a lot of pieces in place there.
And briefs back there.
Like, you've got a lot of stuff to work with for a young quarterback coming in there.
So that gives me hope.
I've, I've always been a believer, like, I've been on, I've worked for good teams and I've worked for bad teams.
and I've worked for bad teams.
It's okay when you're on a bad team
when you're young and exciting and fun.
But like the curse,
the curse of all curses is to be bad,
old, and boring.
And like the Jets,
you can look at them and say,
whether the winds come or not.
Like,
this is a young.
Cleveland's the same way.
Like young,
exciting.
The 22 personnel group on offense.
They got four of their most talented guys
are all 22.
And then the other thing I like is,
and you said it like,
because when I got in the league,
we were bad, boring,
and old in St.
And that's the old.
It's like,
Pre-CBA changing and like there were a lot of vets.
So there were a lot of guys that were just like waiting to get out of there.
And that can kind of like and they're good dudes and good vets.
But like it doesn't set you up like for success as a team because everybody's just kind of like in this transit period.
I think what's cool about the Jets this year is like they brought in certain veterans that can can infuse like a culture.
You know like help to, you know, I know Aaron Glenn might not be there in a year or two.
But like some of the young players like who your vets are really matter.
you know like and what condition they were in i've i've been on teams where we've made the conscious
effort with a younger team to say we wanted one guy in every room like we wanted one you know just be
careful for those young guys in every room just be careful who it is i i i buy that but like and i think
the way the jets it is like mink of fisspatrick you know demario like these guys are like yeah
they're they're they're pro's pros and they're and they're great players that maybe they're not you know
where they were in the prime of their careers, but, like, they're going to be the same guys,
and they're going to instill the same habits and work ethics. And, you know, I think that's
really cool. And, you know, whenever it turns for them, they'll be able to say, hey, Minka taught me
this or, you know, uh, you know, like I, I just think, um, I just think there's a lot to be
excited about in, and the Browns, man, the Browns are fun to watch, like low-key fun to watch.
They're like one of my favorite fun watches, which is crazy. It's nuts, dude. So I owe Todd
Munkin and apology.
Mason Graham is playing his face off. Have you been watching Mason Graham?
He's awesome, dude.
You know what I liked him?
Because last year he played with his hands.
Like, you could tell he knew how to play in the run game.
And, like, he was going to figure the pass wrestling out.
Yeah, he's good, man.
And you know what?
Like the linebackers can really run.
They're fast.
You know, I'm going to get, I'm like too excited to talk about the Browns.
Like we're supposed to talk about it later.
I want to talk about right now.
But they're fast, man.
Like, they got good team speed defensively.
And if you don't have a plan for beating man coverage, they can make your day, hell.
And that's what it was yesterday for.
Carolina. So last thing, no, I got two more things. I lied. But Kyle Murray, first day at the office,
what did you think from what you saw? I think they got to figure out how to how to do it.
Like he to me, if you think about the success that Cousins had in that offense or that Sam had,
you think about like layered middle of the field throws, like that's not happening. He's not,
he's not comfortable doing that. So it's got to be. It's got to be. It's,
It's two things. It's every screen imaginable to mankind that you can dust off. You're going to sprinkle those in.
And then it's play action and it's shots. Like you are taking deep shots and whether you want to move him to do that, try and design some stuff.
But you're going to live underneath and over the top. The intermediate stuff, not happening.
He's just not, he's not comfortable seeing that. He looks, he looks so panicky and jittery.
I honestly just don't think he can see it, dude. So get him away from the line of scrimmage, deep play action.
take your shots Addison won a 50-50 ball on one of those.
Hopefully, I haven't heard,
did they say anything on Jefferson's injury?
I think somebody suspected it's a high ankle, which sucks if it is.
But like, I'm with you,
and it's a little bit of like a deal with the devil.
Like you got this, oh man, this guy fell in our lap.
He's been a franchise quarterback.
He's a high pick.
He's got a lot of tools.
But like you're not going to work the middle of the field.
And, you know, like certain guys,
you're going to have to find ways to get Hawkins in the ball,
like on checkdowns and screens.
you know like i'd hate to be a guy that lives and dies at the intermediate level and be on that
team because it's just in the middle it's just not going to happen but i i you know as somebody
who was bullish on the vikings before the season i'd say considering what happened so far like for them
to be three and oh it's pretty awesome and a testament to be flow yeah he's going to buy him time like he's
buying him time for for kevin to try and figure it out like of how they're going to
yeah you know navigate this thing offensively but that's the nice thing about having a defense like
that is they give you some time to figure it out.
Why are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so bad?
Because you look at them on paper.
That's a great question, dude.
DJ, and I look at them on paper every year, and I'm like,
they got some players, you know?
Like, you know what?
This year, oh, you listened to Todd Bowles last year.
We got the main corners we want.
I don't really think the secondary is unplayable.
I don't think it's like a situation talent-wise where they don't have the pieces.
And, you know, like, oh, we're going to get better in the middle of the field.
this year because it couldn't have been any worse.
And they haven't looked great in the middle of the field defensively again.
The rush, I was wrong on Ruben Bain.
It's not going to be, it's not going to be a quick thing with him.
And, and, you know, like, just the sum of the parts, man.
Like, I don't get it.
Offensively, people are ready to fire the coordinator, coordinator already.
I don't know if that's unfair or not because Baker hasn't played well.
What's your take on, let's start with the offense because I'm sitting here going down the list with defense.
No, I mean, really.
kind of felt more just like Baker to me.
You know, he just got back to being a little bit loose,
just being a little bit loose in everything that he was doing.
That's with football and that's just with his decision making.
And that was, you know, that was the new Baker,
like Baker 2.0 or what have you,
had just played more on time and on schedule,
playing within the framework of the system,
not trying to do too much.
And then now it's like he got paid,
which I thought would lead him to just,
hey, this is what got you this money.
Like, let's just keep doing what you're doing there.
And in some ways he's kind of reverted.
back to Baker 1.0 where he's just way too loose with the ball. Yeah, it's, it's frustrating to watch,
and you'd think maybe he wouldn't be pressing because he got paid, but I know the offensive
line hasn't looked great, but again, like with Zach Robinson, and I know some people, like,
there's footage of last year people saying, hey, out of this look, we knew this was coming,
and, you know, people are calling out certain plays that he, I get that, you know, like,
I don't know how much of that's overblown. I'm not on the field, but I have not watched them
the first couple weeks and been like the scheme is is awful i've looked at them and said the
quarterback is missing opportunities and the scheme could be uneven but like to me they they as a team
they should just be a lot better than they are so um a little disappointed in them but the vikins
have looked uh scrappy resourceful you said it like beef flows behind them time so they're going to be in
that race which is exciting and i feel good for kos yeah the other thing real quick on that i was just
thinking about this like Keenan Allen's loss of step right but keen and Allen there's still that's a
security blanket thing Mike Evans was still playing at a really good level but I don't know that
that we appreciated how much easier on the quarterback it makes when you have those veteran guys
who see the same thing you see yeah like take everything else away just having somebody who
sees the same thing that you see there's a lot of value and I think there is some interesting things
that baker struggle without Mike Herbert struggle with without Keenan and I was an advocate of like
Keenan's taking all these targets away from Lab McConkey, who's more explosive and dynamic.
And maybe I underappreciated just the reliability and dependability of a veteran like that.
No question. And the splits with and without Mike Evans have been, I saw something on it the other day.
But because of the way my notes look, I don't have it for you, but it was ridiculous.
It was like, golly, he must be the best wide receiver of all time.
And this quarterback must not be very good.
And I think the truth is somewhere in between.
But Baker's got to hold up his end of the bargain.
and now he's going to be out for a little bit.
I do think it's close to panic.
It's panic time for the bucks.
Another team that, like, people are going to say it's panic time for it,
and I'm not going to argue with them.
But one team that I think can rebound is Houston.
I mean, shoot, I saw the statistic of the only other O and three teams
since X year that have ever made the playoffs.
I'm like, well, so this is kind of what they do.
They're like, low-key, like the Bengals a little bit,
if they actually make the playoffs when they start bad in September.
But I do not think, I came into this season,
and I have really, I still have high hopes for the Texans.
I did not see this being the problem.
I said it was like, if CJ plays well, they'll be a lot better.
And CJ has played well.
He's fine, yeah.
He's played well, dude.
I don't want to say he's been let down the most out of quarterbacks
by their wide receivers, but it's a lot.
Like there's a lot of drops,
and there's also not a lot of separation with Nico Collins out.
the run game is frustrating to me.
I thought week two, they ran into some really stupid looks.
You know, like it just, and yesterday to go on fourth and one,
same sets, same plays, it's just to me we're approaching Groundhog Day.
And I need to see a lot more out of Nick Cayley.
Like, is it fixable?
I picked them to win the freaking Super Bowl.
I was kind of hoping it would start in season.
Oh, shit.
I picked him and win it too.
I picked him to win it too.
Oh, man.
The only thing, the only thing,
here's the one thing,
if you want to go positive side of things,
I went in to watch this morning,
Daniel Jones.
He's like,
I wouldn't be able to talk about Daniel Jones.
I don't ever talk about the Colts.
They did to win the game.
Like, let's just,
I'm just going to focus on them and watch Daniel Jones.
And I got a bunch of Will Anderson notes.
Oh, he was so good.
I can't take my eyes off of him, dude.
I'm like this,
I think I just watched.
so far oh i know like miles wanted on a bad team last year and will anderson i mean hopefully they
get it turned around but like that team's not winning but how do you say anybody's better than that
guy right now no i mean nobody he's just he's a lot of fun and they're missing guys but you know
he he he like thumps the chip and then dumps the tag the right tackle on his back makes a sack
forces the fumble i like he's made a concrete i'm convinced he's made a concrete i'm convinced he's made a
concrete because he's not like he is a big guy and everything and like he's impressive looking like
when you meet him in person you're like okay that's he is big but like it's really just his style
of play and in the momentum that he's able to play on that track nobody plays on a track better than
him like he just he picks a track and if you're on the track get out of the way man like because
he can run you over and and you know like you pair him with hunter and i thought i thought i thought maybe
they get in trouble without Al Shire out there yesterday for, you know, for a stretch. But I can't
put that on the defense. You know, like re-blanketships had some bad plays through a couple weeks,
but I can't put this on the defense. Like, there's really nothing I can say. This to me is
coaching. I thought D'Amico letting 35 seconds or whatever it was run off the clock. And forgive me,
I've seen a million games if I've misunderstood this situation exactly. But to me,
you trust your defense in every scenario for good reason but then all of a sudden you don't trust in
play three downs at a time take your timeouts and take this thing to the brink like to me that that's
what you should have done and they paid for it they paid for it dearly that's the difference in the game
not taking that time out i know hindsight's 2020 but to me that was that was a bad one yeah i mean i
said i was on the road calling the charter game so i didn't get to see the tv copy or see what
happened. I just kind of was buzzing through some of the tapes, so I didn't even pick up on that.
But I just with them, like on the positive side with Houston, I feel like it's correctable.
Like, this isn't a personnel issue. Like, they got, they got what they need to do what they need
to do. They just, they've got to clean some stuff up. I've seen some bad offensive lines.
Buffalo was a buzzsaw in that game, too. Like, they, Josh Allen was on a, on another planet.
And, you know, I also, I've seen some O lines, too, that we've seen O lines that, we've seen O lines that
are bad they don't have a lot of talent and they they're productive in the run game and so for me i'm
like you go out and get david montgomery it it hasn't looked like the one thing we thought was going to
improve has improved at all and i think a lot of it is scheme and you know like to my point like
i don't think jacksonville's offensive line is incredibly talented i think they're good they're not
great at all yeah but watch them some is greater than the parts though yeah watch them work together
and a physical.
And Coachwell.
And Coachwell.
The delta between a good running offense and an offense that's not,
it's all in the scheme.
It's all in the scheme.
And right now,
I think the scheme's failing that group.
So the Colts are fun, man.
The Colts are just a fun team.
Like, Shane's a great coach.
I think Shane's a great play caller.
And, you know, I think they got some,
they got an Achilles heeler defensively that it's going to be hard for them to
overcome it sometimes this year.
But they're going to be in a lot of games.
And one of things about them that's interesting is
They got a lot of smart dudes.
Like, Downs coming out, really, really smart.
And it shows up in his instincts.
Kenan's very bright, very bright.
Tyler Warren, very smart.
Like, all those guys work in the middle of the field,
and you're going to play zone.
They're going to find space and create themselves,
you know, make themselves big for Daniel Jones
and make his life a little easier.
I think it's almost like one of the, like,
secret ingredients.
When you look at teams, like I thought the Rams have done a really good job of this.
Like, they get a bunch of really smart.
dudes like in the skill positions like people don't that's never really i've been in the
scudder for years and that wasn't really something we focused and we focused on that with
quarterbacks yeah safety like receivers it was like i mean what how complicated is it yeah but as the
league has gotten so complicated having smart players at those positions look at some of the best
receivers in the NFL go talk to those guys are freaking smart yeah yeah no i mean like to me it's
it's a reflection of the play caller and probably the the the how complicated that scheme is
And I also think like NFL schemes have got more complicated.
Yeah.
Like I think in a lot of ways, like we always lament that line play has gotten easier.
Like there's a lot of, there's some bad technique out there.
Like you don't have as much time to prepare.
So like some of the upfront stuff I do, I do watch.
And I'm like, damn, would have been nice to rush in this era.
But I also think scheme has gotten a lot more complicated.
Pre-snap, post-nap, the whole thing.
And I mean, like, sure, there's people that probably argue that it's easier to play quarterback.
back now, but I would say, like, as a whole, you got to be really smart to be even a skill,
skill player or whatever it is. So, I mean, Colts are fun, man. They're schematically sound.
I would say the other thing I'm wondering about is, because that's all the games I wanted to hit,
was, do you have a short list of players that you've been surprised by through three weeks that
were, that are rookies that, you know, like have surprised you one way or another? I mean,
not Bain is one for me that I'm a little bit underwhelmed by,
and I kind of jumped out of the gym for?
Is there anybody that way or the other way for you,
rookie-wise, so far through three weeks?
I'm trying to think here and going through them.
You know, I just, Mesidor had a good game.
Yesterday, he beat Dionne Dawkins clean.
He did.
Good to see.
It was a great rush.
I thought he looked stiff week one, but, yeah.
Yeah, he's played better every week.
He's just kind of, he's gotten a little bit better,
so that was good to see.
in terms of other surprises, man.
I thought Judarian Price would have a little more success.
He's putting the ball on the ground,
and that hasn't helped his cause there in Seattle with Charbonnet out.
So that's been a little bit disappointing.
I think of other guys here.
You know who played good yesterday was Jacob Rodriguez, the linebacker.
Yeah, he's quietly playing really well quietly because nobody's watching.
He's got to be the green dot.
I don't know that for certain, but like just when you're watching the tape,
he is directing everybody on.
that defense for a rookie. It's impressive.
He's a dog.
I also, I really like the Cleveland tackle, although he got beat a couple times yesterday and
Sonno.
Yeah.
To me, like, I look at that guy and I'm like, he's going to play a long, long time.
Cleveland's got a lot of fun young players, man.
Yeah, I know.
I can't wait to talk about him.
I'm talking about them.
They're going to be in the Bermuda Triangle or a segment of games that not many people
watch, but DJ and me watched it.
So, dude, I appreciate the time.
I know it was a crazy week.
I don't know about you, but like,
I kind of can't wait for the bye weeks
because there's just like a more manageable.
I know too many games.
It's like there's three too many games.
Three too many. Exactly.
That's what it feels like.
And at noon every, every Monday,
I'm like, oh my God, how am I going to get through this?
I'm like, well, I,
Nolan, one of our producers,
drives me to work on Monday so I can watch film in the car.
Still watching.
Because I, dude, I don't have time.
I got to like sit breakfast through a straw, dude.
I don't have any time to eat breakfast.
breakfast? Well, hey, DJ, appreciate you, man. Thanks so much for joining us, and I hope we can
get you on again some Monday. I appreciate you, man. You're the best. Thanks a lot. You too, man.

I don't know.
Look at that DJ college football card.
Cam Ward.
Hey, he's still my guy.
He's still my guy.
I want to keep that.
Keep it.
I want to keep that because right now everybody's like,
for sell it.
He sucks.
Oh, no, yeah.
Let's keep that.
Save it for later.
Put that up in the background.
Save that for later, bro.
Your first slab, Chris?
Yeah, it feels good to get my first slab.
Speaking of slabs,
you know my kids really like Mike Jones?
The rapper.
Like the old school Mike Jones.
Yeah, I had to like explain to him what the hook on still tipping meant.
Because I had to, like, talk it out to him.
You know?
It was like, man, like, that's...
281, 3308-0-0-4.
Yeah, they love Mike Jones, dude.
My daughter likes Mike Jones.
My daughter's three years old.
She's like...
Isn't music amazing?
Like, is it music amazing?
Just, like, what can catch your kids' ear?
Like, just, like, anything.
Like, sonically, if they like it, they like it.
You don't have to understand anything that's going on.
Just like the bad bunny thing.
Like, you don't have to understand any words.
Good music is good music.
Good music, dude.
Like any way you want to put it.
That's right.
The stuff that my daughter ends up bopping her head to, I'm just like, how?
Like, why?
Like, do you like that?
But your ears like what they like.
Yeah, my head went somewhere.
We don't need to.
So, no Chris.
No Chris.
But anyways, yeah, man, like DJ's the best.
I love having DJ on.
He's just, he's one of the best football media people, period.
So we talked about Houston.
I was just, you know, like really disappointed in them.
I was really, I just, I got to be honest.
Like, and then there's going to be a lot of people who they told you so.
I'm like, but you didn't tell me this is what it was going to be.
You told me C.J. Stroud was ass.
C.J. Stroud is not ass.
Dude, C.J. Stroud is back, bro.
He's back.
He's just buried in rubble, dude.
They're, they're, they need to extract him from the rubble.
They need to send a dive team down and get him out of a sunken car.
that went off a bray, like he's trapped right now.
A diamond in the rough, perhaps.
He's a diamond in the rough.
If you open a C.J. Straub pack, you hold on to it.
Because right now, it's, it's, uh, now the problem is the Jags are so good right now.
They keep winning.
I still think they can catch them.
I do because those matchups can go either way.
Like, I'm just not going to get off this Houston take.
Like, I'll get it.
The South runs through Duval night.
Right now it does.
Have fun in the wild car.
That's fine.
All this team has to do is get it.
in. I understand that.
All this people are going to get in. I agree. But if they
don't get it together, it's going to be hard. You're going to
put them on the grill. I know, I know, I know.
Because the AFC North, like, it seems like
they're all going to make it. But for the record, what
I tell you on Thursday or Friday, well,
you weren't here, but I said, I am worried about this
football game. And honestly, I was worried
about it for the wrong reasons. I thought that Colts
would run the ball much better. I think there's
a lot of people waiting to pounce on the
Texan's defense, and I see a few of them in the chat.
The Texans defense is not the problem.
Like, you're a hot take artist.
you think the Texan's defense is the problem.
The problem is they are abhorrent offensively right now.
Maybe Nico Collins coming back makes a difference.
I personally, can you pull that Tyreek Hill video up that I sent you guys?
Like, I know his leg was like snapped in half last year and everything and I thought he'd
never play football again, but look at this motherfucker running.
Yeah, bro.
Yeah, crazy.
Yeah.
Like, I had it's just a beach workout.
He's going to which is called.
Kansas City.
I know it.
They already have a new, they have a deep threat now.
Well, and we said last night, even if he's not that explosive,
all he had to do yesterday for the Texas was catch the damn ball.
Catch the ball, bro.
Oh, quick shout out.
Got to say, congrats to Sauce Walker.
I was going to say it.
He was a frigging rapper.
I was like, you know, I don't think I know who that is, but I've heard his name.
Yeah, I see him now, Sauce Walker.
Yeah.
No, but Sauce Gardner.
shout out to him first win in the States in however many days and then he couldn't wait to get to
internet because you could just imagine his mentions since every loss and someone said that it's probably
like another loss bro another loss in the States for you and he got online it was just like
feels good just to win a game that team deserved to win a game hey this sauce walker guy yeah
this is how I would dress if I was a rapper shout out the sauce Walker he's got a cool aesthetic
You like Houston rappers.
He's another Houston.
Dude, Houston rappers are the cool.
They're cool.
Shout out to Maxo Cray.
Shout out to Maxo.
Shout out to Maxo.
A friend of the program, dude.
I still communicate with Maxo every once in a while.
I was in Houston and his buddy Lloyd was like, you were in Houston.
Houston, you know?
I was like, yeah, man, I was tired.
You know, like, I'm getting to the age where like, I'll, like, me being out past 10 p.m.
It's like, not likely.
Not likely.
Not likely, dude.
Not likely.
Need them hours.
Need them Z's.
I need them Zs, bro.
I can't wait to get some Zs tonight.
Who plays tonight?
Oh yeah, the Eagles play tonight.
Go Bears.
It's the Bears.
Face Case Keenham at the link.
What could go wrong?
Chris Fax Bowl.
Yeah, it is.
Case Keenum.
You know.
Nine years ago, you were rushing Casey.
Oh, we were rushing.
And he's still doing it, dude.
13, 14 years ago, I was in a hot tub in Earth City, Missouri,
with Case Keenum at some point.
and Nick Foles.
It's crazy because everybody stopped in fucking in St. Louis to play football.
I play with all the quarterbacks, dude.
And, yeah, so I love Case Keenham.
He's a great dude.
But, man, we'll talk about that game at the end of the show there.
I am enjoying seeing, like, because of Case Kingdom at the link,
I'm so glad Eagles Twitter is taking a break from centering themselves
in every quarterback conversation on the planet to roll.
some old tape back of like just some good clean 2017 fun some nick foals i didn't realize this at the time
but nick foals was like there's a uh shot of him hitting tory smith at the pylon from like midfield
standing tall in a pocket that was like an inch and a half wide and we had a great offensive line
but that version of nick foals was so incredible i i didn't think i realized that well it was happening
how good he was playing.
And I get to see these old clips now.
I'm like, this is fucking fucking.
He was like a maniacs there in a deep.
Oh my God, dude.
He had no conscience.
Nick had no conscience, bro.
Best type of quarterback, man.
Exactly.
Short-term memory.
Just throw that thing.
Yeah, he had a short-term memory there.
But we're going to go to the Bermuda Triangle now.
Are we not?
The Bermuda Triangle, where football games disappear.
I don't know, Jim.
This one might disappear.
It might disappear.
Let me take my little over here.
Welcome to the triangle.
Dude, it was hard to put some of these teams in the Bermuda triangle.
The one game that I, you know, like I can assure y'all I will talk about on Wednesday is Vegas, New Orleans.
because two of my favorite upper middle class teams in the NFL.
Like just solid football teams better than you think.
The Raiders are 3 and 0.
And I thought, yeah, I told you, hey, 4 and 1 on the picks this week.
I don't get it all right.
But we were damn, we were a Wallace, we were a Pat Bryant Emmy away from going 5 and 0.
And one of the things I gave out was Raiders plus 3.
and wouldn't surprise me at all if they won this football game.
And this is why because Kirk Cousins is he loves him some tight ends, bro.
And Daniel Jeremiah was just talking about, you know, Brock Bowers, but it ain't just him.
They've been, he's been lethal targeting tight ends, man.
He has been, they are just, they look like a well-coached football team.
They just look like a well-coach football team.
And it's like they put Kurt Cousins in a time machine.
and he's playing smart, and he's decisive.
And there are times where he'll get sacked,
and I'm like, man, a lot of other quarterbacks
are going to fumble the football.
Like, he's holding onto the ball.
Like, obviously, you know, you can't be perfect.
But I think Kirk Cousins is doing a great job
of keeping the seat warm until they want to put the rookie in.
Like, this is as good a bridge execution deal as I've seen.
I don't know about as good as I've seen.
like, you know, the Brady guy turned out to be pretty good, but I don't think Bledso knew he was a bridge.
At the time, he wasn't. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the league. But like, for Brady to be in the building, I have to give him some of the credit.
Presumably, he's counseled them on, like, you know, what it's like to be young quarterback in the NFL and, like, how to bring Fernando along behind the scenes.
Whenever he plays, I'm going to be really excited to see this football team play, too. If he's a stud, they're going to have a chance.
against to be very good. I think Clint Kubiak's one of the best play callers in the league.
And to me, they just, they look like a team that can play complimentary football.
Like they do. They made plays defensively. Hezekiah Masses has made, he's made three
huge interceptions in the last couple weeks. Like, I think he's leading the league in interceptions,
bro. Like, who knew who that was? You know, they've got guys like Quay Walker and Nikobi
Dean on this defense and, you know, quitty pay and, and, um,
And Max Crosby, obviously being the holdover who didn't make it out the building on that trade.
But we said this coming in.
I thought they raised the floor of their defense.
And the floor has definitely risen when you watch them play.
So I'll get more into the scheme on Wednesday.
But I think a little bit of an interesting deal with Kirk Cousins is his addiction to in and out.
He thinks it has regenerative properties.
He said he knew it was going to be an issue when he signed with the Raiders.
His go-to order is two double-dubles, but on a day off in August, he could go for three-by-threes himself.
And I personally think in and out is overrated, but the Raiders are not.
The Raiders are properly rated.
They're three-and-oh, and they're a problem.
And when they play the Chiefs this week, look out.
That's going to be a fun football game.
If Raiders' Chiefs becomes a good rivalry again, whew.
Then we're cooking with gas in the AFC West.
And you saw what Clint Kubiak and Max Krazerie said in the locker room last night after the game.
They said, who's next on that schedule?
We know who the fuck it is.
Yeah.
Never hyped on this game.
That's pretty cool.
I like that as a...
But yeah, like, you remember the whole, the bus taking laps outside Arrowhead or whatever,
and like, this is a rivalry.
And so, you know, it's unfortunate that this game had to happen while the NFL.
put all the resources into making that international football game like the biggest show
on Sunday because this this Raiders team is pretty good we had an eye on this TV
screen the whole game because I had a lot of my personal funds on the Las Vegas Raiders and
they came through for me so shout out to the Raiders and I and what uh raiders fans
tuned in Wednesday for a deep dive we did a deep dive on the bears a couple weeks ago that
that kind of lasted about 25 minutes so you're going to actually you think
you're getting the short end of the stick you're not um i really like this team really like this
team and the offensive lines much improved dude much improved um shuck forcing the turnovers late
i mean to me that's like hey like that's the on the you go on the road that's a tough place to
play in new orleans to go there win the turnover battle late um and and and and do what you have to do
they were punched.
They went down like two scores at one point,
counterpunches, tough football team.
Tough football team.
Would you think of the Saints losing
after having played the Lions,
Jared Gough gets hit,
that fumble return for a touchdown
gets called an incomplete pass,
and then in this game,
same thing happens,
but it gets called a fumble.
Well, I don't know that the officials know what's going on
in the NFL right now.
What did you say last week?
they said they were smoking crack yeah it's probably smoking crack i don't know what they were doing
but i do want to say this chase young i i talked about this and he's going to play a lot of games
where you might not see him play this year because he is on the saints and i do think the saints
are a good football team but chase young is playing very well and i called it out last week i think
he's one of the more complete defensive ends in the game right now and i don't know where i'd rank him
But it's up there because he'll play both phases.
And he's been very disruptive rushing the pastor.
He's such a big powerful guy.
I mean, like, he's another guy that I saw him at a NASCAR race once.
And he looks like, like, you know, in the movie Predator,
when, you know, Arnold Schwarzenegger really sees him for the first time,
he's like, holy shit, dude, this guy's like seven feet tall.
That's kind of how I felt standing next to Chase Young.
And I was like, okay, that's what a real defense event looks like right there.
So I understand why people, you know, thought he was going to be like one of the best players of our generation.
That hasn't happened.
But like, there's nothing wrong with who Chase Young is.
Dude, Chase Young is a dog.
And he's a complete player.
He's just massive.
Look at the size of his fucking helmet, dude.
The way his helmet looks on all 22 is it's a bucket.
It's huge.
Try taking a bull rush from him.
So yeah, that was an awesome game.
And it worked out for your boy.
The other one that landed in Bermuda Triangle and Browns fans,
you deserve better than the Triangle, man.
The Cleveland Browns are fun.
And I owe Todd Monk in an apology, man.
Like, I just totally, I thought that the quarterback play would be prohibitive.
But it turns out your team's too good to even let an average quarterback performance
hold you down. And I'm not saying that because I know that the narrative's turning on Deshaun Watson,
and I thought last week he played well. This week he was up and down, but like compared to what he's
been, there were moments, like there were moments where he's shaking off rushers and extending plays.
And, you know, there's also layups he's missed. And, you know, at the end of the day, you're at home
and you're playing the Panthers who have been a little bit embattled defensively and they have no
Devin Lloyd. And, you know, it's a rock fight. So, like, I want to hold the horses on. You know,
the Deshawn Watson thing, not just because of all the civil cases,
but also because I think that's just the prudent football thing to do.
Now, Chris Collinsworth on Sunday night football was like,
they were like, is there anybody who want to shout out this week?
And he was like, well, here's a guy.
Not letting these civil cases slow him down mentally.
Like he went on a five-minute tangent about fucking DeJon.
And Torrico's sitting there like, are we fucking do it?
win this right now, Chris? Like, Toriko's just like, and then afterwards,
Toriko's like, and back to you, Mike, you know, it was, it was an awkward deal. And I've seen a
NFL talking heads trying to revamp the court of public opinion on the guy. But from a football
standpoint, I think it's because the league is slowly realizing that the Browns are going to be
relevant on some level this year. They're going to either be decent or they're going to be
beating some of the good teams that you're paying attention to because they're good.
from time to time.
Like positionally, they're almost too good.
If this was supposed to be a tank thing,
they're almost too good.
Like, this defense is fun to watch,
legit fun to watch.
And, you know, we shouted out Mason Graham with DJ,
but he was tremendous.
I mean, they pressured Bryce Young on 66% of dropbacks in the first half.
66%.
That's not a typo.
And then, you know,
know, they took T-MAC away.
Coker left the game at one point.
I think I'dzick, it took him too long to adjust.
I think the run game was too much of a non-factor.
And then I think Bryce missed some layups under pressure.
Like, I've got to be honest, like, he was under a lot of pressure yesterday.
And he didn't play his best game.
And I thought some of the management at the end of the football game was a little bit confusing for Carolina.
That was a weird scenario.
call a timeout backed up and they got to go for it they think on fourth down they have three
timeouts and they could punt the ball to to cleveland and try to just try to just hold them to
you know three downs and a punt they get the ball back with just under a minute but instead they
decide to go for it on fourth and long and take a time out and the whole thing and then Cleveland
all they have to do is just basically like hand it off three times and they're going to go up six
and kick the ball back with like a Hail Mary situation but cleveland ends up giving them the ball
back with you know they they throw the ball and like it was a bit of a shit show um but yeah like there
were moments for Deshaun and i thought uh i thought they kind of got bailed out on the will lee pb u will
lee had a really rough week one i got to hand it to this guy he battled yesterday in some spots i
that was almost one of the best game or best plays i saw the day de sean put it in the end
zone and will lee comes up with like a great pb you and it you know everybody goes to the ground and
ball ends up in somebody's lap and it's a pick i think but uh okay okay on the ruffing so you know
just too many penalties on the o line for for cleveland if you're looking for if you want me to
honestly give you cleveland's cleveland's outlook like they they bit them they they um
they bit themselves a little bit yesterday with the penalties and uh you know i thought de sean
actually bought some time so but ivro man torched again in a big spot the end of the game i know
it's not 50 points but like just
Just a big spot.
And I thought Cleveland played aggressive all day defensively.
And I just didn't see that same aggressiveness from Carolina.
And I know they're missing their stud linebacker that they got in free agency.
But bad news for Carolina, J.C. Horn's out with a torn quad.
You know, can the Browns run the table in the NFC South?
If they do, should they win the NFC South?
Does anybody object?
Would you rather see an NFC South team in the playoffs?
to just the Browns sweep the NFC South
and we slide them in there as an NFC
fucking champion or something.
I would love it just to see like the big time media
or what they'll do with it.
They would never do that.
This is totally,
but this is my favorite one was Watson was teary-eyed
after he left for a play
and Cleveland fans cheered him back onto the field
confirming once again that people fucking suck
because it wasn't everything
that led us here that made them hate Deshaun Watson.
It was his play on the field.
And God forbid,
questioning fans that boo or something.
And all of a sudden he has a good game and they love him again.
So,
you know,
that's just an interesting human,
human nature.
Goes on a two-game win streak and all the Browns fans are like,
what murder?
Exactly, dude.
Exactly.
There's a lot of it.
The easiest thing to make NFL fans forget about anything.
is winning winning winning winning winning winning winning win to win some media members so uh Tennessee
and the Giants man like cue the porta potty this is the coolest thing I've ever seen
honestly for a guy that loves a rock fight in a low total game this was like man I went right to my
phone when I saw this and just pounded the under and uh and boy did that work like I just
turned I was able to just like not pay attention to the game for long stretches of it um
Went back this morning.
The only thing I did is rewatched all of Cam Ward's throws to see if he really does suck.
I know it takes a long time to convince me that this guy sucks,
but he's what a quarterback is supposed to look like, in my opinion.
Boy, he's got a really strong arm.
I think he needs to become more of a passer and less of a thrower underneath.
If you're a wide receiver in Tennessee, like you kind of are catching a lot of hot shots.
and a lot of them are on your back shoulder
when they're supposed to be on your front shoulder
and, you know, especially if you're trying to work the quick game,
which is what they did for almost like the whole first three quarters,
they didn't really let Cam cook or whatever you want to say.
And I understand with the weather and the, you know, the game script,
but like if you're going to be that offense,
he's got to be really good with his ball placement.
And I need him to make less of the circus throws,
make make those look cool like i need him to make the the easy stuff look easy and i think he's
capable of doing it dude i believe in cam ward like i know so far it's been it's been bad the aggregate
statistically has been awful if you look at him from a number of um you know metrics you're like
oh he's one of the worst quarterbacks in the league uh i really would like to see him get a couple
games with a competent offensive coordinator, I think, and some competent pieces around him
under his belt before I write the kid off, especially because I've admittedly kind of hitched my
wagon to him.
You know, I want to give him the rest of this year for sure before I agree with everybody
and say he sucks, but I think he's got a ton of tools.
There's just something about him that I think bothers a lot of people.
And I don't know what it is because everybody hates all quarter.
So it's nothing in particular, I'm not saying, but it just, I don't know, people are just, like, so over the Cam Ward thing. And I'm like, bro, we barely seen him play. He's played 19 games in the end or 20 games in the NFL. And the situation has been kind of untenable. So, and yesterday, once they started throwing the football, they were able to move the football, like actually push the ball down the field, throw some deep comebacks and that type of thing, take advantage of his arm. But I did not see him the throw at the end of the game.
don't let me forget that throw that's that's an asinine throw i mean like i can't defend cam ward
like you know and cam ward saying hey you know i just need to put the ball higher i agree with
robert solid the head coach you know you live to fight another down there's 19 seconds to go
in the ball game you have first and goal at the the seven or whatever it is and you're rolling left
you could easily dump the ball out of bounds. You could probably beat the defense to the
sideline if you wanted to. I'm not saying you're going to have the pylon at all. But, you know,
to try to throw over that underneath defender and just to me was way too ambitious. I mean,
if you look at the still picture, it's there's no reason to throw the ball. And so,
um, to me, he's got to be better. And I don't know if that's him not knowing the situation.
you know sometimes when the game's going for a young quarterback like it's inexcusable to me
but but the only other thing i think of is he doesn't think they have timeouts or something
because like you live to fight another day 10 out of 10 times looking at that play and he's not
doing much to to help defend against his detractors right now this is you know i think he's got
a lot of talent and i really like cam ward but um situational football man big theme this weekend it's a huge
theme, dude. The more you get in this thing,
you know, coaching quarterback,
if you got
two good ones and two ones
with experience, like it makes a lot of difference
in this league. So they've got
the head coach with experience, but the
quarterback's young and very talented.
So I'm not jumping off
the bandwagon. I think he's
got tools. So,
Arizona, San Francisco,
by the way, shout out to
Dominic Ziyata,
the Giants kicker.
know Giants fans are like, hey, you want to make it about the Titans a little bit more?
Like, we just won the fucking game.
I get it.
And in the words of James Winston, one thing that I do is forgetting those that is behind
and reaching forward to what's ahead.
That's the way I live my life.
So, you know, think about that for a second.
And also think about the fact that he dedicated this game to Jackson Dart because six times
two or six plus six is 12.
And that's how many points they scored.
Amazing.
One of the great orators of our time, James Winston,
did you see him catching the crab legs like they were reaction things?
Hilarious.
Talk about like a phoenix that rose from the ashes.
You know, he has turned that into, you know.
The thing I'll say about the Giants is they traded for JJ McCarthy.
So there's that.
Wow.
We'll talk about that in a minute.
Wow.
So, hey, listen, Burns Tours ACL, that sucks.
That really sucks.
They don't have the pass for us right now.
I thought this group was going to be really good.
Like, then they trade Dexter Lawrence and Burns has got an ACL and now Abdul Carter is going to be getting a lot of extra attention.
I love his tape, but it's hard.
They're just not that good up front compared to what they were supposed to be.
They also lost Roy Robertson Harris before the season.
Cam Scadaboo breaking a million tackles and like, you know, running for all these yards after contact.
like that's not going to be the way it is every week
and winning games that take 12 points to win.
I, you know, like, Giants had higher aspirations.
Obviously, the quarterback injury hurts
and maybe they're going to take a stab at this thing with JJ.
We'll talk about that in a second.
Arizona, San Francisco,
Brock Purdy is hooping, dude.
That guy is, uh, yeah, bro.
He's got the highest QBR through three games since they,
they came out with the fucking stat in 2006.
I don't know what else to say.
Like, you know, it's, um,
I didn't know.
there was a big argument about whether Brock Purdy was a good quarterback or not he's always been a
good quarterback like if you want to put him in the top 10 i'm not i'm not going to argue with you
the way he's playing also rankings are dumb um and i'm the one who brought it up in your last 10 games
aliens exercised from earlier uh from earlier brock was second behind he's he's he's he's it's hard
to argue and again you could do the oh he's got shanty okay like i got to tell you like jimmy
and I know it's Jimmy G, but he didn't always look like this with Shanny.
You know, like if he had Purdy when they were in the Super Bowl,
when they overthrew that receiver,
I still think the Drey Greenlaw thing absolutely fucked him in that other Super Bowl.
But like I just think, you know, when they asked Shanahan,
have you felt like this with a quarterback before?
And what did he say?
He said, I felt like this with Matt Ryan in Atlanta.
And then I felt like this.
I forget who else he said.
was like, yeah, I've been here before.
Like, I, you know, I can elevate a good quarterback,
and this guy's one of them.
So, Debo Samuel, is he on Nugenics?
I'm kind of wondering, because that guy looks incredible.
He looks, he looks, I also notice he's very good in the video game this year,
because when I play Madden online, I'm currently playing with the Niners.
Because in Madden, they don't get hurt.
So you've always got the same set of players on the field,
it's very and Debo Samuel is just fucking taking people's lunch money out there for me and I'm like
damn he looks like that on the field too so Devo he put in work this off season and he's happy to be
home sometimes just being home being with your with your group feeling like you know it's got to be
hard when you leave a shanahan offense and you're like man this just isn't the same like I don't
want to be here and he looks healthier he looks like he's in good shape watching Warner and
McBride play together or against each other is like watching like the two biggest baddest kids
on the playground like just play full out at recess and like there was a play there was a play where
Frank Warner dude McBride caught a ball in like a crowd of seven people incredible catch
Fred Warner does the like his thing where he he looks like um
Like a whale that jumps out of the water and he,
and he like launches himself.
He fucking went head first and just like torpedoed.
Trey McBride like in the chest.
And everybody was like, holy shit, that was illegal.
But like, also that was fucking cool.
And they were like, flag.
And Fred Warner was like, oh, what you mean?
Flag.
Like, and Trey McBride's like, I'm a fucking dog.
Dude, there were like seven people here.
You see all these motherfuckers?
I just love watching those two football players play.
Like nobody's watching this game because it's 4 p.m. window, West Coast,
and, you know, the Rio game's on.
But like, and I told you about the Cardinals,
the back door is always open with that team.
I think people owe them an apology on love
because he looks pretty good,
and they're not that far off from being a tough team to play.
I'm not saying I'm not taking the victory lap on draft
and a running back.
I really had no opinion on that.
But I think, like, people are just too quick to be like,
go, the Cardinals are supposed to suck.
They're going to be terrible.
And they're actually, they're actually kind of scrappy.
And, you know, that's a division game.
It's a big line game.
Like, what's up?
Oh, my God, what happened to Marvin?
Marvin got some burn yesterday.
A little bit.
And Marvin's been talked about in the Houston sweepstakes and, you know, some other,
but I don't know about that.
But, like, again, like, I, 49ers expect these eight players to return off IR.
Christian Kirk, DeMarcus Robinson.
stribling, Pleasins, C.J. West, Nick Martin, Nate Hobbs, and Sam Oku, I don't know.
Sam, Sam, O.
Sam O. So they've got, they've got a lot of, they've got a lot of guys on our already.
And there was a scare. I jumped scared because I looked at the TV and Trent Williams is on a cart.
Luckily, it wasn't anything that looked like it was that serious. Maybe the big fellow just didn't feel like walking back.
you get the man a cart when he has for a cart give me a card but thank god jeremiah i love 90 yards
rushing and uh good news for them bad news for the niners 1.7 yards before contact uh the nick bosa
injury definitely factors into the way that game played out and and and the way that that that uh cardinals
offense at times was able to look kansas city miami before we get to the mentions um this is a play
action show for for uh for the kansas city chiefs four
of 14. This is what they do now. I mean, like, Mahomes, it looks great doing it. It looks great on them
having a run game. Kenneth Walker breaks another 10, 12 tackles. Like, that's a normal day at the office
for him. He probably has the best contact balance in the NFL. I don't know who has better contact
balance. He's going to, he's going to finish the season with, like, 175 miss tackles forced
or something like that. I wouldn't be shocked.
Like if he gets the amount of touches that he's gotten.
You know, the other running back in the game.
And also the shovel pass, that's how it's done, Dallas.
That's how it's done.
Do you see how effortless that looked in the red zone?
It's a Kansas City staple down there.
Just like underhand, nonchalant, fucking cool as shit.
Kenneth Walker, I got this. I'm not going to fumble it.
A. Chan, I'm glad he got his extension.
He's only 24 years old, but that's an ACL yesterday.
And that's a tough one for him.
You know, I guess the blessing in disguise and something like that is, you know, he's, it's,
it's a September, is it October yet?
It's a September injury.
You know, that could happen to December.
He's 24.
You got the bag.
I looked up, were there any other running backs that tore their ACLs at 24 and, like,
how did the next year go?
I think it's just an interesting thing.
There was a guy named Jamal Charles,
and he tore his ACL at 24.
His first season back, he rushed for 1,500.
So I think A-chan's going to be back with a vengeance,
and he, the rest of his body,
doesn't take the beating that it was going to take this year
playing for this Miami Dolphins team.
I think the Dolphins did some things
that they could build on in this game.
They damn near outgain the Chiefs.
They had more time of possession, the whole thing.
They kept this game close for a while.
I know you're not in a moral victories if you're a Dolphins fan,
but Jeff Affleys group came to play,
and you heard about Jacob Rodriguez.
He's playing his ass off.
Dolphins have played three teams that are combined 9 and 0 now.
And at this point, next week, it'll be three teams that are probably 12 at 0 when you had the,
I can't do math, but, yeah, it's confusing staff,
but the Vikings are also undefeated.
So really unfortunate first month for the Dolpherson,
or fortunate depending on like what kind of sweepstakes you're in but like the last time you tank for
somebody it didn't really work out and I'm not being a dick I'm just saying you know it's it's not
just about losing it's also about like you know building a football team and so I'm glad they're
competing you know what I'm saying they look what a time to be alive tank for twoa what a time that
was anytime you think you got it's that easy we'll just lose we'll just do we did that yeah no
it's it doesn't always work that way so
So, yeah, we're about to get out of this triangle, and let's get to the mentions.
But, yeah, I thought every game had its own interesting spin on it this week.
And with that, that was the Vermeater Triangle.
I'll come back to the mainland.
Yeah, it's a sick show.
It's my favorite show.
Like, the fucking host, he, like, talks the whole time, and then he changes chairs.
And then they put, like, a fucking background behind anyways.
And sometimes they read ad reads.
And sometimes they read ad reads about creatine.
One thing I've learned since retiring is recovery used to be the thing that you got to,
uh,
that got you to Sunday.
Now recovery is the goal.
Creatine and electrolytes is what make tomorrow possible.
Nobody's paying me to be sore anymore.
Uh,
I train so I can still get up the, off the floor of my kids pile on me.
Uh, I told you about, you know, my daughter, she's three, but she's like icebox, dude.
Like she really does.
She really will.
She could hurt me.
like and and she comes close a lot so it's tough man it's tough being a dad of three it's tough like
the mileage uh my carfax is a little bit spotty so it's you know i'm 41 but in dog years
maybe a lot older so create create um not only helps me physically but mentally i stay sharp
helps me focus when breaking down NFL games it helps me stay focused um when i got to watch film
the whole thing so um you know i'm up early i'm you know i'm you know i'm
I'm watching tape.
I'm in the gym.
I got the kids coming home when I do get a minute.
Then there's a primetime game on.
Like, holy shit.
That's a lot of stuff.
And everybody's balancing a bunch.
I really think creatine can help you no matter who you are.
And creatine plus electrolytes, it keeps me going.
So it's NSF certified for sport.
Third party tested.
Every batch made with Crea Pure.
I train hard.
I get dehydrated and depleted.
and I want to recover faster.
That's why I take creatine.
All right.
I have a special guest for you.
This is a guest that maybe you guys have seen before,
but this is a big get for us.
It's Bo Allen on a Monday,
and he's joining to pick up some of the slack on the mentions
because Nate was trapped in a nor-eastern.
Huge get for the Greenlight Pop.
What's up, Chris?
Happy to be here.
What's up, dude?
How are you?
I'm super-duper.
What's up?
What's up, Fax?
It's been a minute.
You're, what's good, dude?
How you been?
Back in the building.
Did you do the electric slide at the wedding?
You already know, it's a black wedding, dude.
You already know.
Brother.
Yeah, buddy.
What do we like to do?
What are the whites like to do at weddings?
Sweet.
Cotton eye Joe?
Oh, fuck that song, dude.
Y'all do Cotney Joe, right?
Cotney Joe.
Cotney Joe.
I do like Cottnight Joe.
I do like Cottnight.
No, I like Mr. Brightside.
That's, yeah.
Yeah.
But two of the, my least favorite things,
that I should like is a white, one, sweet Caroline, two mayonnaise.
I can't get it.
Yeah, bro, you got to get, I don't know how you don't.
That's like undercover brother.
Yeah, I don't know how people don't like mayonnaise.
What do you put on your hoagies?
I don't have hoagies, bro.
I don't really eat sandwiches like that, dude.
No sandwiches, no deli meat?
You don't like that?
No, deli meat.
I haven't had deli meat in like years, dude.
Wow.
Wow.
That is crazy.
Now, if I'm on that Tony Sopranon.
no shit. I'll eat that right out of the fridge. Just stayed in there in a bathrobe. I used to sit
there and when I didn't know as well and I was younger, I used to sit there and just a palm
turkey, you know, like deli meat. Like out of the fridge, like you, but like then I read about
how bad it is for you. Yeah. Reportedly loaded with carcinogens. Yeah, like, dude, I have
that makes it so tasty. That's why it's good. Like, duh. Hey, I'm a lunch meat guy. Don't have to sell
me. I just, I can't do lunch meat, bro. Like, there's so many bad things that I'm doing. Like, why would
I, why would I, like, if I'm going to go to an early grave, I'd hit, like, get your voice.
And God be like, yo, it was the lunch meat, dude.
Like, I'm like, fuck.
I don't even like, better than lunch meat, bro.
That's insane to me.
No, I don't.
Because when I do have, like, a sandwich that, I guess is lunch meat adjacent, the only
thing I'll ever have is, like, if I really am on the road and I'm like, you know what,
fuck it.
Today's just going to be one of those days.
I stop at Arby's.
Oh, my God.
Like, oh my God.
Get a fucking.
I can't believe.
You just said that.
It's so good, dude.
Nate,
you think Arby's is gross?
The man that'll eat a fucking filet a fish sandwich on a $5 later?
Filetia fish is probably like the most underrated sandwich like on any fast food menu like today.
I would take any Arby's menu item over filet fish.
That roast beef.
Roast beef isn't a fast food restaurant type of thing.
I just feel like I don't know.
I don't know.
But hey,
to each of them.
Yeah, but like sometimes you just got to close your eyes, man,
and be like,
it's probably okay.
know it's um but it the payoff's got to be good like if i was to make myself like a sandwich
with some lunch meat i'll be like i was fucking okay but like when i get that that big montana or whatever
it is with no with just the meat and the and the bun man that's that's some good shit right there
the jimoka shake is phenomenal too i haven't had a jimoka shake oh the jimoka shake is
anybody try the steak bites yet yeah i was just about to say the most i tried the steak bites but i'm
I'm not doing this.
Visually, like, thing I've seen in a long time.
And for their marketing people, for them to okay the commercials and the way it actually
looks.
Yeah.
Like, there's not a lot of, like, usually, like, a fast food restaurant commercial can trick
me into trying something because it looks so good.
But those steak bites look terrible.
You know who's, and they're not good.
You know whose commercials actually look fucking, I'll sit there and I'll be like,
damn, that looks good.
And I'll beg, that looks like cardboard.
You just know it's good.
It's Taco Bell.
Taco Bell doesn't do anything.
They don't put a filter on their tacos, nothing.
They're just like, here they are.
Yeah.
It's just like it looks at 11 o'clock at night.
They see is what you get.
Yeah, they pay for those subliminals.
They know what they're doing because it literally makes me sometime.
Like, I literally think in my head, I'm like, I'm going to go through the drive-thru right now.
And then I have to stop myself and be like, like, just.
No, you got to stay away from that stuff.
Just relax.
Somebody said, okay, that's a cat's Jake Thornton's out of control, bro.
look at the
chat's popping off
that's crazy dude
I am done with the chat
no thanks
I just happen to look over
I don't know it was
so anyways
did you see what that guy said
all right
um
gross beef
so so we've got the mentions
uh Nate don't expect you to have many
but if you think we missed something
go ahead I mean you know
So I do want to start with the Dan Graziano Sack Award,
which is given to the biggest sack of the week.
What?
This is a great award.
Dude, one of my equipment managers had a kid he used to work for him during the game.
Shout out to Jimmy Lake and the Lake boys.
But after a lot of games, he'd come up to me in the locker room,
and I'd be sitting there, like, naked at my stool,
and he'd be like nice sack
and we still
he's like 24 now he's like
I can't believe I used to just walk up
that's what you miss when you're retired
that's what you miss
yeah you never gave me compliments like that Chris
what the fuck dog I always gave you compliments
dude not like that
shout out to the lake boys man
um okay
all right all right so
uh the the dan
graziano sack award
Derek Harmon
took the ball off Joe Burrow
with the game on the line
anytime you see
the end zone footage shaking
on an NFL
all 22 copy you know the place
is loud like in that place is intense
it's a division football game like you want to know
what what I miss about the NFL is that
like having a chance to go do that
at the end of the football game and and for
you to do it like you just
he'll remember that play
the rest of his career it's just a regular season game but that's an i mean he whooped
the the the risner what a what a position to be in at the end of a game just at the bottom of a pile
it's the bottom of a pile and joe burrow's got to get rid of that fucking football buddy like i mean or
or hold on to it um you know so did you have one beau no i did not i uh i kind of went off i didn't
realize this was yeah you would have somebody would have to tell you yeah no i uh
i like yours though that's good call thank you um okay best and worst flight
but you can go first okay i mean this is i was hoping you'd let me go first chris best
flight's got to be j j j god j him right this is the most this show yeah yeah i mean it's got to be
right you're getting the fuck out of vikings uh out of minnesota that's you know that's that's
That's always sad for me personally, but for JJM, that's probably just fucking, he's probably ecstatic, man.
He's going to the Giants.
He's getting a chance.
Best flight, baby.
I wonder if he flies into LaGuardia or Teterboro.
They fly on private or?
He's flying private.
He's private into Teterboro.
Yeah, his plane says nine on it.
Hold on.
Good luck in New York and with that media, JJ.
Just good luck.
Oh, boy.
Just good luck.
They're sitting there like.
You got one chance for a first impression, man.
Who's wearing nine on the Giants roster right now?
You're going to have to pay somebody for...
Isaiah likely, right?
Yeah, isn't it?
Oh, he's not going to lie.
RIP 9, baby.
RIP 9, no, like that.
Okay, so Sunday, September 27th who had the best flight home?
I mean, shit, guys.
I guess...
Lamar.
Yeah, you know, any flight home from Brazil is good
because you've been in Brazil.
Especially the flight there being bad after the loss.
Yeah, like, I kind of feel like they probably stayed the night.
Probably had a good time in Brazil.
Great.
Maybe it was fun.
Probably a lot of them.
Maybe some guys have stories on the plane.
And there's nothing like getting on a plane a little bit hungover.
One of those nice planes.
You actually sleep.
Where you can recline because I assume they got him one of those planes.
And dudes are just like, you know, I got my movies.
I got my, you know,
we used to love,
we used to love those long flights.
Another thing is Seattle,
I found out McDonald,
I was going to give them the best flight if they won
because they fly their guys out on Fridays
for East Coast trips,
which I love.
I used to love that when Fisherwood flies out to the West Coast
two days early.
Just to land and go,
I'm going to bed,
and I'm not waking up tomorrow like this,
like Camp Scataboo.
You know, just feeling the, you know,
I'll go best flight
Yeah
I don't really have one
So
Worst
With J.J. McCarthy
Do you think they
So they flew from
Tampa Bay
Do you think they spent the night
In Tampa Bay and flew out this morning?
Like did they
Oh yeah yeah
Minnesota and then say
JJ you're
You're actually heading a
Yeah for sure
That's interesting
Yeah he probably did land
And then and then
And then
He probably did yeah
He had a little layover in Minnesota
Yeah
way that New York.
Like, yeah, like, hey, JJ, coach wants to talk to you in front of the plane.
He's like, I fucking hope so, dude.
So we're landing in 20 minutes, JJ.
I fucking hope so.
I'm not going to your car.
I fucking hope so this whole situation has been holding me back.
Fucking Justin Jefferson, Mario Edison, good offensive line, good play call.
This whole fucking situation is holding me back.
It's not about me.
It's about the Vikings.
We'll see.
We'll see.
I think they'll play them.
I mean, they don't trade for him unless they're going to play them.
James Winston showed them to two weeks that unfortunately.
Are there Giants just like actively just trying to get quarterbacks that are like,
what would I say?
Like that have interesting personalities.
Like that quarterback room just now like a hurt dart, you got to back up McCarthy for now.
And then James Winston.
They're cornering the meme quarterback market.
It's like money.
It's money.
It's all for memes.
Both of those Jen.
or whatever, what are they, Gen Z.
Bro.
Bro.
The potential TikToks that could come out of that quarterback room now is absolutely.
Can you imagine in 10 years everybody's going to be so fucking young that there's going to be
no normal people left in the NFL?
We're all going to be totally aged out of it.
Juju Smith-Suchester was ahead of his time.
Oh, he really was.
He was a visionary, dude.
And we hated, and we hated Juju
for that.
Yeah.
Like,
as a whole fan,
unless you were a KC fan,
like,
or a Steelers fan,
you hated you,
for the little TikTok dances.
And now it's kind of,
that's kind of the thing if you're,
if your favorite player can do,
I still hate it.
TikToks.
I still hate it.
Nothing's changed.
Um, okay.
So,
uh,
worst flight.
Go ahead,
Bo.
If you take mine,
I'm just going to be like,
I'm done.
Dude.
Oh, man.
This is tough.
I think I'm going to go with Matthew Stafford here.
Yeah.
He's old.
I mean, he'll be up that late on a plane.
Yeah, he's up late.
He's on the plane.
I mean, it's not too far of a flight from Denver to L.A.,
but you got to think he's replaying that pick six in his head just the entire time.
Totally.
You know, just beat himself up about it.
So I'll go with, I'll go with Stafford.
I'll go with, from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Georgia Tech at Stanford.
Which makes him no sense.
Finish when they turn the lights on at the bars.
You know, when they turn the lights on at the bars, about 155.
am that's when that game finished at 155 a.m. East,
East Coast time. I wouldn't know I was asleep, but I looked it up. And the flights,
the flights around five hours. So they lost the game. They were favored by a field goal.
You got to go play a conference game in California and then fly back to Atlanta. He probably landed
at 7 in the morning. And those kids are probably in class today as we speak.
Whuff.
Being young, dude.
Being young.
Also, Seattle, terrible flight there.
You lose that game.
But I still feel like Seattle, the vibes are so good.
It doesn't matter.
You lose one game.
They'll be fun.
They know it.
Double Conway.
I'll start this one off, Chris.
I'm going to go with the little, the image or the video, I guess,
of the Ravens Kicker Tyler Loop,
celebrating after the 56-yarder in Brazil.
I mean, he did Ronaldo celebration, too,
which just, that's just,
felt so fucking right yeah sooie's so yeah yeah it's a dangerous it's a
it's a triumphant expression i'd look it up i was like what does this fucking mean
it's cool i don't know but my son does it to the dog all the time just runs up
no it's like i'm like fuck dude you're wearing this thing out i would say um bevel conway i was
going to say as far as uniforms are concerned panthers and browns honestly
i thought that was like the browns looks so good at home and then the panthers
that contrast, those colors was beautiful, but the Bevel Conway was a stadium in Rio.
Yeah.
And that's without any crowd shots. And there weren't really enough crowd shots. But I, the stadium in Rio was, I mean, the, the, the, the shot of that stadium and the mountains in the background.
Yep. And the favelas in the hills with the lights and everything like truly a gorgeous shot of Rio at night.
and um you know i know the field was was maybe not it was like bright green dude but i mean
they definitely painted it right the shot of the stadium sure but the shot of the stadium was
fucking beautiful dude and i oh go ahead i was going to pick that too chris for the just like the
uniform color matchups the ravens the cowboys with the stadium like i'm i'm with you on that
but i'm not even talking about what happened on the field the shot outside the stadium
anti-bevel Conway
I'm going to go
go ahead
I mean this is obvious right
dude the bills chargers uniform
matchup was just atrocious
it looked disgusting
they looked like Tulsa
it looked just terrible
no I'll tell you
I'll tell you what was uglier
and it's it's borderline negligent
by the NFL to allow a game
to look like this on TV
the indie Houston
game, the shadow on that field, it's unwatchable. There were times in the game where I legitimately
did not know if Daniel Jones had thrown the ball. And I had no problem with the grays. They actually
looked pretty good. Like the gray uniforms actually look pretty good. But the shadow in that stadium
was on TV. And maybe this is just a CBS problem was brutal to watch. If you watch that game
on TV, you know what I'm talking about. I would lose the action.
at times because of that that damn shadow just make up your mind are we in or are we out you know
is it an indoor stadium or isn't an outdoor stadium like what the fuck is the point of a sunroof
dude just play outside what's the worst thing can happen dude anyways i'll get off my soapbox
best and worst seat hit me beau all right best seat i don't know if you guys saw just
just an absolutely thrilling victory from wisconsin over penn state
at Penn State and there's this fucking awesome shot of just this they did the white out and happy valley it was really cool and there's an awesome shot of all the the Penn State fans in white and then one lone Wisconsin fan in like the student section or whatever I think that's so awesome best seat man just the last second victory a little bit of a comeback for the badgers and you guys won and you're sitting there and we won and shit eating grin on on the face of this fan right here is enjoy do you think he got out of there okay
Yeah, I think so great, man.
Look at that.
That is pretty gangster, dude.
You got to feel real good.
He's looking like Cameron Frye right there in the Detroit Red Wing.
He does.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That is just a good look.
I love that.
Congrats on that dub.
Right?
Thanks, man.
I was shocked.
Congrats on that dub.
My last mention.
Best seat.
Best seat.
I'm giving it to Brett Farve watching Stafford passes all-time Picksick's NFL history.
that has to feel good, right?
He passed Brett Farr for all time.
Did he really?
I'm pick sixes in NFL history.
That's pretty.
I mean, it's very Stafford because, you know,
Stafford, although I think, you know, like,
I don't know why the debate rages on about it.
There's just so many people that the first thing they do after game is I saw somebody
tweeting about the million people.
I don't know how anybody thinks Stafford's top 10 all time.
Like, what the fuck does it matter?
Talk about the football game.
he's an incredible quarterback.
He also throws pick sixes sometimes.
And honestly,
the best to do it.
To have that take after the game that he's not,
he was just playing catch all day.
He was throwing.
The highs are high and the lows have been always low with him,
but the highs are justifiably high,
and he's won a fucking championship.
So I think that's where,
you know,
God forbid he hadn't won a Super Bowl yet.
Man, if not for the Logan Wilson penalty,
oh, people,
oh can you imagine the narratives around matt stafford and it's just because of one penalty i know
it's not all coming down to the penalty but it just goes to show you how fickle like an a b analysis
is on a guy um whatever it's worth staffords at the top of that list of pick six is thrown the names
a follow far of marino nameth breeze peyton manning all hall of famers kind of got yeah it's kind of a good
list to be a part of i guess like kind of like jack strand throwing his first pass being a pick six or
whatever it was. I mean, he joins Brett Farb and
I think there was another one too. Sam Darnold, I think.
Sam Darnold. So, yeah, I mean, Jack Strand might win a Super Bowl.
How about Michael Panics and the Falcons, dude?
Yeah.
Anyways. Got to love it.
Yeah, that was that was a Falcon spot.
So, yeah, okay, we're best seat.
All of us seeing Mike Tomlin's Minecraft City.
Mike Tomlin is doing a
Yeah, I love that take Chris
That's great
He's doing a Minecraft
My kids are obsessed with Minecraft
Anyways, I tried to convince him
That I was like
I used to be like a legendary Minecraft player
And we got this bit going on
Where they're constantly asking me like
What's the most precious stone
And I'm like, uh, you know
Come on, you don't know that like that whole thing
And then I'll like quickly Google something
It's fucking Netherite dude
But like my kids
My kids love Minecraft
And he's dropping his Minecraft
City this Wednesday
Mike Tomlin is
You gotta subscribe to his YouTube channel
That's so good
And we had said
We had said
On a show or two ago
We were like we should have Mike Tomlin on
And get him to show us his city
He's learning in real time
He's learning how the lot of that works dude
He's learning in real time
And I love it
I love it
12 year Minecraft bill dude
12 years on anything is a long time, bro.
Dude, can you imagine if he was a player,
but I've been like,
you're a little less time playing Minecraft.
A little more time, you know?
But here's what he did.
Like, he wasn't online.
He wasn't putting it out there that he was doing it.
Like, who knows how much time he was actually spending on it.
If you keep it to yourself, you can do what you want.
Yeah, you got to work in silence.
That's it.
And then when the results are there, you show him.
And that's what he's doing right now.
What if it's just all, like, football shit?
Like, he's rebuilt the stadium.
he's got like meeting rooms he's got like an effigy of Aaron Rogers that's right yeah that's
pretty good that's good oh to tune in this Wednesday you'll find out yeah worst seat
i got one uh I can't I kind of went out a little bit of a rabbit hole on this I haven't watched
as much college football lately but this was a very unique situation that I was kind of wanted
to get to the bottom of and that's um the South Carolina Gamecox edge rusher Dylan Stewart
Oh, man.
He, oh.
Yeah, he just got suspended indefinitely by the team.
They played Bama.
He punched a player.
He was jawing with his coaches on the sidelines.
At one point, like, he was clearly going to get subbed out and, like, refused to come
off the field.
Like, dude, as D. Lyman, we've all kind of had that thought, like, fuck you.
Like, I'm staying out here.
You know what I mean?
But you just can't, like, you can't fuck your team like that.
And very curious, you know, obviously, like, I think, you know, a situation like that,
like, it's clearly, you know, something's just.
and brewing and seems like an emotional player that kind of can't get out of his own way,
but that's a bad seat to be in, man.
Dude, you know, I want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt because it's a bad
moment.
You know, it's, it's a bad moment.
Now, the team suspending him, and I don't watch, and some people are going to say this
disqualifies me from looking at it, but like, he ain't the first guy to throw a punch.
Most people would call me a high character guy, and I'm not, mainly because, like, that's just
what they say about like you know guys that play hard and fucking say the right that's what they say
about walter patent men of the year award no but i'm saying like i don't i don't fancy myself a high
character guy but i punch somebody in the face during a game i've had blowups during the game
i've been ejected like to me this is not a thing unless there's a long history of him
acting out or not being a good teammate or and the suspension worries you and everything
this kid is so fucking talented he like i've been
waiting for this guy to play pro football for what feels like five years and when he does
i'm convinced he's going to be incredible but it's a bad moment how you respond matters
um it's not a good sign that he was he was suspended by his team but i just don't want to judge a
kid off a one moment maybe if there's a big pattern of this stuff like sure but like he got heated
in a football game he's not the first one to do that um does he have something on his hand like
ice. No, he's just taped.
I was like, man, that'd be sucked if he hurt his
hand fucking punching a guy in the
face mask. But it happens.
You'd like to
just get off the field and move on.
Worst seat
for me from college football is that Phazon
Brandon. He was the quarterback for Tennessee.
Laying on the ground, getting
pissed on.
Oh, God.
The guy just had
his rope out, dude. He had his imaginary
rope. He had like,
yeah bro you're like bro you're
that best part of that whole interaction
Chris is afterwards
that far away from your body
turn and Johnny's like what
yeah
I got a flight for that what
that's my favorite part of the whole thing
it's it's it's the
it's the I didn't do it
like it's not it's not a lot
it's clearly you urinating on the guy
the definition of unsportsman like
the most but he did it so emphatically
like yeah this is fucking awesome
And then there was a Texas guy that like smelled his own ass.
Oh my God and passed out.
Jesus Christ.
What?
Yeah, this is the nastiest.
We show this?
I didn't see this.
He like swiped his balls and his gooch and then put his hands up to his face and passed out as a celebration.
Look at this.
That's the.
That's the.
Dude, these celebrations are getting too phallic, bro.
It is.
They're getting too phallic.
This thing is not.
No, I like that one.
I don't want them to catch out of that.
Yeah, it's caught on to it, bro.
It is caught on.
Somebody was funny about that.
But how about the guys in the NFL's getting fine for passing the blunt, bro?
Were they?
Yep, they got pet.
I thought, who was that?
Amon Seat Brown got fine for passing the blunt to his teammates.
And then you check, they said he was chugging a beer.
That beer thing is just so like, when his nickname is juice.
That beer thing is, I'll just tell you what it is.
We promote beer.
No, but the NFL, here's what that beer thing is a very interesting thing.
Because what that shows more than anything is that the NFL is beyond reproach.
They don't care that you know that they're hypocritical.
They don't care that you know that like whether it's a bad call.
Do something about it.
Like what are you all going to do?
Stop watching.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Do something about it.
Like they didn't just, they didn't just like hope it went away with the beer chugging
thing.
They actually were like, hey, let's parlay this into an activation for Bud Light.
like it's like a big fuck you to anybody complaining on the internet like we are the NFL you're not
going to stop watching bro which is what they banked on and so they just move however they want
to move like you know they do whatever they want to do which is stupid as fuck um yeah uh STL
memorial mine's going to mason graham guys playing great football and playing in in in Cleveland
i don't care if they go 10 and 7 you're not going to hear about him yeah yeah
No, he's been playing good, man.
Shit.
I mean, this was pretty highly publicized,
but I think Brock Bowers is going to get my STL.
Yeah.
So I don't think quite as many people watch at Vegas Saints games.
Kind of a decent matchup, though.
But first game back, like, people kind of, you know,
you forget when you're on IR and shit like that.
So I'm out and ball right away.
Like, that's a fucking good feeling, man.
That's a bad boy.
Propitia can back the truck up.
They just back the truck up, dude.
Like, back the brings truck up.
give him a fucking let him go jason whitten give him the lego man deal and and give him 10 million dollars
because he he could be the he could be the face of it he could be the face of mps male pattern
of all this syndrome he's going to take the crown for merlacker yeah dude and there's no shame in that
and you know what i mean like good for him good for him if he takes the bag here i am i get this
whole situation played out in my head like it's happening you know those hair restoration like all those
places turkey yeah turkey they're they're just like drooling like let's get this guy on the phone
get him to turkey bro like hey we can get real easy flights from Vegas over here bro a turkish airlines
commercial with him in it would be fucking money before and after yeah it would be money before
with the little top showing and then the after him flashing his passport and they're like this isn't
you it looks like fabio dude like right after
the procedure that'd be fucking insane not gonna happen okay game ball go ahead bow i'm gonna wrap this
oh man we're not doing hollow man oh hollow man go ahead hit me with your hollow man
hollow man hallow man is he long for forgetting hollow man dude no no probably wishing he was
invisible right now no dude i had like five i had like five hollow men man i i've been trying to
decide i was going to see which one you pick so i think there's some pretty obvious
There's so many bad ones.
Let's just, just start.
You know what?
Let me go with Trevor Lawrence, dude,
because this one's a little less serious than some of the other ones.
Oh, the stopping at the goal line.
Stopping at the goal line with like nine minutes left, bro.
Dude, I think that's what made me love him finally.
I don't know, man.
Like, I get it.
But also it's like, bro, look at the, what?
Like, look at the clock.
Just go score.
What the fuck?
That's how much he cares about his homies, dude.
Yep, basal.
You want to get basial in there.
That's high character shit.
It's low football IQ, but it's high character shit.
It's so funny.
But you know, you know he's just like, oh, fuck.
But also, if you're the patch, you're like, are you fucking serious?
You disrespectful motherfucker.
I follow a guy who was a big time Jacksonville fan who like does like card drips and breaks
and he was showing his ticket.
He would have won 40K on a Trevor Lawrence anytime touchdown.
It was like the last leg where he had different quarterbacks during the day.
I think a lot of people were.
And he was like, I'm a real fan.
And so he's like, he's like, it's okay, Trevor.
But how funny, a lot of people were probably like, man, this shit is rigged.
Yeah.
Clearly.
They gave him the script before the game.
They called down and told them in real time, Trevor, kneel it.
Yeah, dude.
I'm like, yeah, well, no, he just wanted to get his buddy a touchdown.
It's sometimes Occam's razor, man.
This is the simplest solution to whatever your query is.
I'm going to go, Hollow Man.
Fuck.
I mean, it's probably Drake May, which I hate to say.
I mean, but honestly, I was going to give the game ball to Shottie from Jesse Minner.
Jesse Minner should have stood up there in Rio and been like, all right, guys, bring it up.
And I got one more.
Somebody go get fucking Shottie.
Bring him over here on a golf cart.
Bring Shottie in here.
I'm going to toss him the ball.
Go ahead.
I get Christian Parker two.
They get Hollow Man and Game Ball at the same time because those two were legitimately responsible, directly
responsible for an end-of-game situation in the biggest game of the weekend, in the biggest
window of the weekend, and lost their team the game. I'm not saying there weren't other things
that the Dallas Cowboys couldn't have done better, but you should win that football game
11 out of 10 times kicking the ball off with seven seconds ago. I don't care if you have botched
the end-of-game sequence in the red zone. I don't care if you got a call on an OPI,
you fucking blew it. Hollow Man.
game ball. It's the first time I've ever seen somebody get both awards at once.
It's a big deal. It's a fucking big deal. That was a tough act to follow, Chris. I'm going to
give my game ball. I got two. I'm going to give them to Penix and Drake London, man. Penix,
though, I actually. The Drake London was unbelievable. Drake London was unbelievable, but I think Pennix
just kind of like, you know, he was fighting for his job. He's on IR. He's coming back.
You know, so to play that well against, obviously, a dog shit packers team. But like, it's just
It's just fun to see, like, guys kind of battle through injuries, come back and play well and have their, you know, the big moment out Thursday night game. So I'll give it to Penix.
Yeah, dude. Penix was amazing. I also thought Drake London, I mean, you know, I'm happy for Drake London because he's just so handcuffed. He's been so handcuffed throughout his Atlanta career. And, you know, it's pretty funny. Like, he caught that long explosive for a touchdown on the left sideline and ceased chasing down.
he's running 22 miles an hour.
That guy happens to be really fast.
But everybody's like,
this is just so funny
what sports fandom has become.
Oh,
Drake London's so fucking slow, man.
Like, dude, he just went for like 180.
Yeah.
Are you, like,
are you pointing out
the blown deficiency in his game
that he's not Tyree kill or something?
Like, you would kill to have this guy on your team.
Fantastic player.
Should have scored on one of those.
Also the Falcons, man,
the Falcons with Penn
playing it totally it flips the situation it does it goes to show you how good they could have
been this year if they had their two rushers um and you know like so far uh stefansky's not really
tankin penics his career so maybe it wasn't him in cleveland and shout up bejean oh shout
up be jean's incredible dude he's incredible the only thing that's me interested in fantasy football
right now that's it when he got up at the podium afterwards
and they were like he was like man I don't know man it was like Martin Luther King was in there
I was like yeah that is so funny I was like pretty sure that's not my place but like some people
aren't going to like that bro but that's what he felt man you can't get out of bed that's what he
felt the first time you heard that speech in school whatever he was feeling yeah it's the fansky
though hey the fansky man don't feel that way yo
That is so great.
That's a second.
Some coaches, like, that's like a skill that's, like, looked over.
Like, a lot of coaches don't.
Like Martin Luther King.
Well, maybe that.
And or, hey, to have a speech that one of your guys even says that,
I wonder how he feels when he heard that.
He was like, wow.
And he was like, I didn't even know that was.
Yeah.
He was probably like, wow.
Savancy was probably like,
Yeah.
I don't need this right now.
I don't need this.
Yeah.
I mean still not as good as James's pre-game speech Chris when you were doing the live show
reading that off earlier I was fucking died oh my god what a quote bro just one more time I did
yeah I'm gonna hit it one more time one more time one thing that I do is forgetting those
that is behind and reaching forward to what's ahead and then the way he's able to hold the
pause and yeah back to you like it balls in your court now it's like something he read off
of fortune cookie, bro.
And just kept it in his back pocket.
I can't wait to drop this.
Yeah.
This jewel on everybody.
Oh, yeah.
That would be a great challenge for James.
He's got to read one fortune cookie away and interjected into one of his speeches.
But now here's what we're losing, dude.
We went from the best podium sound bites to the worst with James going to McCarthy.
Think about that.
Is there anybody who's been less like endearing at the podium?
is there anybody who's more endearing
they scored 12 points and they're
about to bench him for a guy
that they've traded for who like
got run out of Minnesota but
after the game he's so charming that all we can say
is like did you hear what he said he said that like
you won this for Jackson Dark because 12 is
12 by by 2 is 6
makes a lot of sense
do you know how charismatic
he is dude
he might be the most charismatic
quarterback of all time man James Winston
yeah
that quarterback room
I'm telling you
it's gonna be great
I hope they can start
I hope they find a way
to give them
the end season
um
hard knocks again
now that
now that McCarthy's over there
yeah
I want to see it
listen man
this has been a grind
this fucking show right here
man I gotta tell you
I'm gonna go home
and
and lay on my
my stomach
like in the yard
I'm just gonna like
I'm so tired
with your feet kicked up
no
because I'm gonna be on my stomach
I'm just gonna like
get out of my car
like like what was the movie with Leo where he's like crawling into the house
oh yeah it's not the ludes from me I'm just so tired from watching football man I mean
holy shit so I appreciate everybody first before you jump home the locals question of the
week oh locals question the week I just when I think I'm going home reads like you got
extra homework how to hell hasn't rung yet what's the fucking question of the week

What do we got?
So S-Zimi 12 from the chat asked.
Chris, you called out in the preview show
how the Cowboys are having a lot more success running left
than they are running right,
and it showed against the Ravens 2 in Brazil.
Is there anything you can do defensively to exploit that
because it feels like a trap to try to load up the left
and then be outnumbered on the right side?
No.
No.
No, it's not one of those situations,
but the numbers are damning.
Nolan's got some numbers for you.
Yeah, yesterday in the game,
running left,
the Cowboys, 14 attempts,
6.7 yards per carry,
3 yards before contact per rush,
4 explosives,
running right, 12 attempts,
2.9 yards per carry,
1 yard before contact,
0 explosives.
Yeah, Booker just looks like he's in the way.
And, you know, steal.
That's kind of been,
like, at least in the past,
I was like, okay,
well, he's a good run,
blocker. They're just not able to displace people over there the same way they are on the left. And that's
only going to get more pronounced when Smith comes back. But it's a super interesting thing. You don't
see splits like that a lot. Like it is even with good players on one side. But the good news is they
were able to get the run game going a little bit, which, you know, again, all is not lost for that
football team. Like, they're still a good football team, but they're learning defensively. Um,
And last night they had a bunch of, like, dudes, lowercase D dudes in the back end that weren't supposed to be playing in that game.
They were just in Rio.
They thought they were going to, there were some guys on the field that were like, yo, I got a trip to Rio.
Like, I'm not going to have to play.
Like, I'm going to be out and about.
And then they found themselves playing meaningful snaps.
And then there were seven seconds left.
All right, we're going to man him up.
So no way, man.
man to man is on Ask Madden in that situation for Madden?
Not at all.
The only call is, not in no way in the six boxes.
No, no, no, no.
You know what I might call in that situation in Madden?
Three deep man.
They're in cover one.
Everyone man.
They're in cover one.
They only have one player helping over top.
Like if you want to getting three deep man in Madden and press up and move your
safety's way back because you know that like, you know, but there's no fucking
I'm running that defense like not in a million years like I really fly on the wall
did we used to do fly on the wall we don't do fly on the wall anymore yeah fly on the
wall what is that meeting like today with Jerry Jones because like Jerry Jones
understands full well what happened there what is like what's the what do you
think he said what do you think Christian Parker said he was trying to do there anybody
I have no fucking it's the most
We've fucked that up.
Yeah, we fucked that.
Hey, coach, come on the pod and let us know.
Maybe we'll change our stance.
Whatever you say, it can only make it worse.
Maybe you could change Chris's stance.
So bad.
Anyways, tonight, the Eagles and the Bears, man.
I think the one thing that I want to watch tonight,
and I expect the Eagles to win this game because they're better.
With the players on the field, for sure, better.
You know, if Caleb's healthy, it's a different kind of game.
I'm really interested to see how you handle the run game because last year I have not seen
Vicks group look that out of sorts and I know that Case Keenham playing quarterback changes the math
for them and what they'll be able to do but the linebacker play the second level play some of
the edge play the eyes last year what Ben Johnson was able to do to affect edge players in their
eyes linebacker second level defenders in their eye discipline it was really bad and it was
kind of a masterclass by Ben Johnson.
So I know Vic Scott, he's ready to go.
And this group is ready to go.
And they've had to watch that cut up all week.
So I'm really looking forward to seeing the intensity they're going to play with.
Obviously, you can't come out of a game like this and not force turnovers.
If you're the Eagles, like you have to bank on getting to.
And for Jalen Hurts and the offense, man, like build on what you did last week in the passing game.
And, again, I love the way that they work the middle of the field.
like from the beginning of the game.
Wix was, was fantastic.
Smith was fantastic.
Goddard's out.
So, you know, who's going to pick up the slack there?
Has he won't score yet?
Got to get him in.
And what's the deal with Sequin?
I'm so enamored with all these games.
Who you won't the game?
I said I want the guy to do wide receiver lemon.
Oh, Lemon?
Yeah, just got it.
Has he scored yet tonight?
No, but got a little bit more involved last week.
Money night football.
Get them in there.
Get them in there.
Get them in there.
You need to see the interior offensive line.
kind of gel a little bit um what what was your what's the deal with sayquan
was he good because we think he's up it was a weird injury designation last week and
forgive me i don't look at the monday night game until like monday right now that loop
pretty sure is up i was i was a little bit about uh you mentioned ertz urts is return tonight
to action for the bird oh ertz is back yeah we could see urts i'm kind of curious what
Earths is going to look like, that's got to feel like a good dream. You know, like,
you know, you have a football dream every once in a while. That's got to feel like a good dream.
Some nuggets for Sequin. The Bears have allowed 244 rushing yards in two games. The D-Line has
just two tackles for a loss. No Jeffrey Simmons to worry about, obviously, like they did last week.
And Sequan has never scored against the Bears in six career matchups.
It might be the night, man.
So Eagles fans, my kids will be, man, this is, I let them pick one game to like stay up till half every week.
And I just want to go to the Man Cave.
And they're definitely picking one tonight.
And I'm going to be like, damn, guys, like it's like 20 to three here.
Can we just call it a night?
But they love the birds.
So anyways, guys, I appreciate y'all.
We will be back Wednesday, the Boe show.
And Bo, we're going to be talking about the Raiders a little bit for people.
Raiders, Monday night football and more.
And I, oh, I might have a special guest.
There's a certain defensive coach that I'm trying to get on the pod.
Currently active?
Yeah, I'm not going to say anything else.
Nice.
But you might see them on Wednesday.
Anyway, y'all take care, and we will see in a couple days.
