DeHop to Kansas City.
I think it's going to be a thing of beauty.
He's one of my favorite guys in the league to watch.
And I think what he gives them is he gives him somebody take a little pressure off
worthy.
On top of that, they really have.
And it's akin to the Buffalo move where it unlocks the talents of everybody else.
But more than anything, you have a real get open guy.
Like D'Andre Hopkins can still get open.
I think something gets lost a little bit is like Patrick Mahomes.
He is a make magic.
cap and guy, right? We all know that. Sometimes the ball placement is not perfect. It's the act of getting
the ball there that is perfect. That is art. DeAndre Hopkins has as good a catch radius and as good
of hands as anybody in the NFL. And that doesn't change when you get old. As you've heard,

Welcome to the Greenlight podcast.
Thank you for jumping in today.
Chris Rips around the NFL talks full of news.
DeAndre Hopkins is a Kansas.
city chief. The big trade news out of the day today. We also have Cooper Cup. Maybe he gets moved.
We're not sure. Matthew Stafford. There have been some rumors. Chris runs through the trades.
also talks a little Monday night, recaps those games. Talks about Chris Godwin's injury,
what that means for the bucks and Chris Godwin's future. And we hit a mailback. Thanks for everyone
who's submitted. Thanks for listening. We'll catch you live on Friday, 9.30 a.m. Eastern.
Coming to you live from the Joe Namath room at inside the NFL. You see, my boy, Joe Namath.
up there behind me uh want to do a pod today not because i'm drunk nolan wanted to tell
nolan wanted to tell you guys i'm fucked up but i'm not fucked up all right so i'll tell you the
backstory won't tell you if i won football guy of the week but you know on inside the nflb we have
this segment football guy of the week it's supposed to it's supposed to be this you know like
this is uh yeah okay it's supposed to be a guy who
encompasses what it's like to be a football player, like what it's about.
You know, you're not supposed to pick a first round pick.
You're not supposed to pick like, you know, usually you lean to UDFAs and shit like that.
And you stay away from stars in the league and that sort of thing.
So, you know, naturally today, Chad goes with Frank Ragnall, who's a first rounder and
one of the best of his position in the league.
Ryan goes with Danny Smith, the special teams coach for the Steelers and tells a
just a fucking wail of a story about how Danny Smith gave him his start in the league.
A little personal anecdote.
Only went for five minutes.
And I went with Evan Williams.
The stud do it all for the Green Bay Packers,
who since week five has kind of come on and been a huge difference maker in that defense.
So I told Nolan to get me a bottle of Evan Williams.
from the gas station.
He goes to a liquor store.
I wanted a gas station-sized bottle of Evan Williams.
And he broke the shoulders off it pretty good for that segment.
I was going to take a sip of Evan Williams.
I said a sip.
And this looks like three shots of Evan Williams.
So I had to take a couple shots of Evan Williams on the air here at inside the NFL.
I'm not drunk, but it is a Wednesday.
And since it's a Wednesday, and it hasn't been that long since Monday night football.
Let's talk about Monday night football.
All right, Matt, I feel for you, bro.
I was, you know, I started the day.
The background is Matt had a 13-leg parlay.
He had hit the first 11 legs.
It was a $25 free play from Bed MGM, mind you.
And 100K was on the line Monday.
night what he needed was god matt i'm so sorry bro it's okay i know we have to talk about it i've
been working so hard to like not think about it but yeah we can talk about it let's talk about it so
you needed baltimore to cover which as soon as mike evans tore his hamstring i was like you're
probably okay you're probably like the cleveland browns fans cheering for an injury you piece of
it. And then, and then the late game is what it came down to.
Oh, my God. I'm regretting not hedging. When the Ravens went up a decent amount,
I could have just bet big on the Cardinals. I was just, I was scared.
And, and ultimately, it ended up being one of those games where you got to be careful,
lay in two. You got to be careful laying two in the NFL.
And right as I lost, it was like a text from you. Jalen Rager just cost you 100K.
Yeah, dude. Can you, I mean, he is the, he's at the scene of all these crimes.
You know, it's like a who done it. Usually it's him.
You know, and he's the guy that cost you.
I don't know. What are Maserati's going for? I'm not in the market for a Maserati.
Yeah, I would have, I would have kept my Hyundai, I think. That 2012 Hyundai has served me well.
Served you well. But that would have been an amazing, that would have been an amazing moment.
for the pod and for everybody else and let me ask you this when you when you when you tap chargers
minus whatever you minus two did you think that it would be the charges that would burst your bubble
and that parlay did you even think about getting to the double digits in legs no i was like let's just
add monday night because if i go 11 for 11 that'd be fun let's keep it going and then on the morning
of or throughout the day monday i was not nervous about the ravens but i was worried about the chargers
and I kept thinking about Nate's dumbass Harbaugh theory,
like only one can win on the same day or something.
And I was like, oh, my God, Nate's going to cost me this one way.
It turned out to be true.
Yeah.
Damn.
Damn, Daniel.
It missed by like three points.
Oh, it's brutal.
It wasn't like a blowout or something.
Yeah, but the worst thing about it is like the minute that they picked up that pass
interference flag, like you knew you were losing the best.
Oh, yeah.
You know, and, and, and, and, and that line was steaming down.
You know, that, that line was, it was bigger and then it shrunk and it shrunk.
And, uh, you got to sit there and watch.
I mean, I don't mean to relive the whole thing.
Oh, you're good.
Like, I mean, if you enjoy gambling sweat, that was a gambling sweat.
Normally I'm betting 50 or 100 bucks.
I think by second quarter of that game, that bet was probably worth something like 40, 50 grand.
So in theory, you know.
That's unbelievable. I don't know how we transition from you losing that bet to like,
you know, the next thing. But I am so sorry to hear that that happened to you. I'm sorry
that it happened to you. I'm sorry to watch it happen to you. I mean,
I saved you from betting the bucks. You did save me from betting the bucks, but I won't lie. I did
tease them, which pushed because they're late game heroics. And I also think like when talking about
the bucks, it's a shame because they really did look like.
a team in control of that game until Mike Evans got hurt. And I think like their whole season kind of,
I don't want to say it slipped away in one fell swoop, but like to lose Mike Evans for a month
and then late in the game to lose Godwin, listen, it's easy to blame it on Todd Bowles. I get that,
but you were this close to kicking a field goal. You're probably 20 yards away from kicking a
field goal and trying to make them feel another onside kick. It is what it is in the NFL. And, you
you know, like players are, that tackle happens a lot, you know, like, it'd be easy to blame top
bowls. I see that people have. I'm not going to go there. The bottom line is you are down to absolute
veteran studs in an offense that, you know, yeah, they have picked up some steam on the ground. They
have kind of a three-headed monster right now, but it all goes through the passing game. And when you
think about like a red zone target in Mike Evans and then the guy that that's open when you take
coverage and you put it in the Mike Evans bucket like both those guys have disappeared and thank
God Kate Otten his his skull is made of titanium because Baker Mayfield tried to get him
killed throughout the night there's only so many past catchers left in Tampa and the shame of it is
when when Mike Evans left that game they look like they were going to win that game and they
We're going to be in control of it.
And who knows, now you're getting ready to square up with Atlanta who beat you a couple weeks ago.
And this could be the game that the NFC South comes down to.
And you're short-handed with a week to get ready for this group.
I do think we're going to talk about trades in a second.
Cooper Cups' odds in being traded are all over the place.
I think the one team, according to Vegas, currently time of tape, Wednesday, October 23rd, 131 p.m.
that's favored is the Steelers.
And I think that makes a lot of sense,
especially coming off of what you just saw the other night.
You know, this is a team that is a Dallas drive away
at the end of that game from being 5-1.
You can say that for a lot of teams,
but I think it illustrates a point,
which is this team, where you looked at the team last year
and you looked at the team in years past post-Benzhen-Rothusberger,
and you said they're scrappy, they're tough.
This team is good.
And if Russ can keep it together for them, you know,
and they like the look they're getting with Russ,
it's all the more reason to go out and take a shot at something like this.
Whoever overpays for an aging wide receiver like Cooper Cup,
and I'm not saying he won't help that team,
has to be overpaying in the spirit of burning the ships
and winning a championship.
And I think Mike Tomlin probably feels like his team can compete with almost any in the league
because of his defense.
whether that's true or not, we'll find out whether they go out and make a play for Cooper Cup.
They were after Brandon Ayuk.
That sort of thing.
We'll see.
But another team that is in the running is this Buccaneers team.
And, you know, I think it makes a lot of sense considering it is a crisis.
I think it would be such a shame with the way Liam Cohen has had this thing cooking to just, you know, fold your tent and be done for the year.
You know, the team's got its problems as imperfections,
but this is a team that I think could end up in the NFC championship game
in the form that they were in Monday afternoon.
Now, unfortunately, a lot's changed.
I also want to say this about that game.
Lamar Jackson is playing like an MVP.
He's just taking it to another level.
And Chris Godwin leaving the field was tough.
as a former player seeing that happen to anybody sucks the minute he got tackled i was like his
legs not in the right direction like something's wrong here um and of course when they they take the
camera the shot goes away from godwin for a little bit you know it's ugly and for a guy who's been
through this who's had you know an ACL who's who's done so much for that franchise who's been
unselfish who's moved to slot receiver who's who's who's done the dirty work he's a dirty work guy who's
been a big part of their championship right like he he's a part of the foundation of their organization
it sucked to see him on the cart and um you know i thought the most i don't know what the word would
be powerful but powerful kind of infers i'm inspired
And inspired is not the right tone of word to use in this situation, but it was powerful
to see him on that cart and mouthing to his trainer back to work.
Back to work, huh?
I got chills thinking about it.
And it's not some triumphant moment.
That's what being a football player is about.
It's about pouring everything into year after year and things being upended in a moment's notice
and you have to climb that mountain again.
and he knows how that feels.
He's out for the season.
And a year-long process probably plus that's going to be arduous begins.
Because even when you're back healthy, you still feel this injury.
You feel all the injuries, you know?
And to see him get on the cart and ride off and say, back to work,
you want to know what pro football is about.
It's about that right there.
I mean, I was blown away by that.
the guys resolve his mindset.
That's why he is who he is.
That's why he's had the career he's had.
So tip of the cap to Chris Godwin in a moment that had to be really tough for keeping his head
and somehow fixing his gaze on the future.
Like that is mental toughness personified right there.
And that's why he's a dog and that's why his teammates love him.
But they will miss him.
And so what is the answer?
You saw Baker Mayfield panicking with Mike Evans out immediately throws two picks, you know,
and now they're down Godwin.
So those running backs have to be big for them.
They have to find a way to get the passing game going without these two guys.
And obviously in the late game, we've got Matt Kingston's hopes and dreams getting crushed.
So that was Monday night.
It was full of tragedy.
You know, Sunday, today on the inside the NFL, we were talking about,
you know, Chub coming back in the game for Cleveland.
And I thought of the Chris Godwin thing and now it reminds me of Bradley Chub thing.
I just want to say this.
Not Bradley Chubb, Nick Chubb.
Bradley Chubb's hurt too.
It's a fucking 100% injury sport here.
For you to, like, do you realize how hard it is to rehab a major injury in the NFL,
the mental toil, the physical toil, the self-doubt, will I ever be the same?
and for a running back in the NFL.
I mean, you talk about the quintessential old school running back.
That's Nick Chubb.
Not just the way he plays, but the way he attacked rehab in hopes of joining a team that resembles a burning building right now.
Like everything he did over the last year, the pushing it, the coming back this week,
the coming back at all this season, all that work.
And I know you say, hey, you're getting paid to do a job.
we got to go back and do it. It's hard to come back after a long, long road back to the field
and run out of the tunnel into that mess. I mean, it is a burning building. And, you know,
he worked diligently for the better part of a year to get back. And this is what he has to come back to,
11 for 23 yards or something, which shows you how bad they suck right now. But to see him back
out there was great for football fans for Cleveland Browns fans I think for football players everybody
respects the hell of that guy I got a text this week about Nick chubb a guy that owns a bar in
Athens I believe it was or Atlanta it was the night after and he knew Nick a little bit so he's
let Nick in the bar before as a college student Nick gets drafted there's a line that's 400 yards long
it's wrapping around the corner of this bar as the lines in Athens probably did
do. And the bar owner is walking down the street, passing all the people in line, gets around the
corner. He's hundreds of people in. And there's Nick Chubb, all alone, waiting in line.
Not a big deal for people listening, but if you know what that situation's like and you're
Nick Chubb, you can walk to the front of the line. But he didn't want to cut anybody. He didn't want to make a big
deal he didn't want to make his presence known as nick chubb the football player he just wanted to wait in
line and i know some people are like why the fuck are you sharing that that to me is high character
shit there i mean it's not a big deal he doesn't deserve a medal of honor but like that's the type
of guy he is and i got that anecdote this week and i thought i'd share it because um that's the way
he attacks everything with humility um and he just puts his head down and works puts his head down sits
sits in line night after he got drafted.
And I'm glad to see him back on a football field.
Okay, we got trades.
We got trades.
We got trades.
Before we get to trades,
James and Williams is suspended for how many games?
Two.
For violating the NFL's performance enhancing policies.
Skinny guys don't get pop for steroids.
What the fuck is going on, dude?
you are too skinny to need any supplements.
Skinny guys don't need supplements.
I'm on set with Chad Johnson.
He runs on McDonald's.
What does James and Williams need to put in that string bean body
to be any faster or any more effective for the Detroit Lions?
That's why I believe it was a mistake.
I don't think anybody that skinny is like, yeah, let me take some shit.
Like what are you?
You know what I mean?
Does that check out to you guys?
What does skinny people need fucking supplements for?
Like a skinny receiver that runs a 4-3.
What does he need a supplement for?
All right, we'll get to the trades.
All right.
The big one today, DeAndre Hopkins, D.Hop to Kansas City.
I think it's going to be a thing of beauty.
He's one of my favorite guys in the league to watch.
And I think what he gives them is he gives him somebody take a little pressure off
of Worthy.
And Worthy gets a lot of attention, you know, with his speed at the second level of defense.
On top of that, they really have, and it's akin to the Buffalo move where it unlocks the talents of everybody else.
But more than anything, you have a real get open guy.
Like DeAndre Hopkins can still get open.
I think something gets lost a little bit is like Patrick Mahomes, he is a make magic happen guy, right?
we all know that sometimes the ball placement is not perfect it's the act of getting the ball there
that is perfect that is art the ball the ball placement especially this year can be a little bit
all over the place the andre hopkins has as good a catch radius and as good at hands as anybody
in the NFL and that doesn't change when you get old you know it really doesn't change much
the route running, the explosiveness, that stuff, you know, I imagine as you get older,
kind of tapers off a little bit.
But the guy can still catch a fucking football, you know, and he can still go up and get it,
and he's still got the length and the range to do that.
So while you're not going to get a top five wide receiver, we're not going to get
D-hop of old, look at what the chiefs have done the last couple years.
2022 they go out and get Tony right people people laugh at the Tony thing in retrospect because of the
you know the penalty and you know some of the mishaps for him and yet was he the type of guy that
got his shit together never but he did for a couple plays a year and a couple of those plays
happened to be in the Super Bowl and you know you think about like last year bringing hardman
back in making a move for hardman hardman hardman
made some big plays for them down the stretch.
Now this year, the third iteration of them trading for a wide receiver is DeAndre Hopkins.
That seems to me, all due respect to the other guys, like, by far, the most exciting move they've made in the last three years in the trade market for wide receivers.
And they have quietly taken a lot of stabs at wide receivers, you know, worthy rice in the last couple years consecutively one and two.
Juju's come back in.
They, they really, Hollywood, they, it has been a throw the kitchen sink at this thing quietly, you know.
They didn't go out and make a move for Mike Evans.
They didn't go out and free agency a year ago and make a move for D'Andre Hopkins.
But you know what they did, they got them for cheap.
They got them for cheap.
You know, they got them for a fifth or conditional fourth, as I understand it.
And if you look at the draft picks, the chiefs used fives on the last couple years.
These guys have not played a lot of football.
You know, they got Chamari.
Connor in the fourth, but generally for a four or five, and you talk about like, really, what we're
trying to do is we're trying to cash in on a once in a lifetime thing, winning three championships
in a row. If we do this, we can fucking walk off now. I don't need to play football anymore. That's
how I would feel. Now, they're going to be after four if they win three. But to go three, Pete,
you burn the ships. You burn the ships. You light those motherfuckers on fire.
And for people that don't know what that means, you run your boat up on the shore and you say,
we're not leaving until we get the job done.
It doesn't matter how we're getting back home.
And for me, that's the kind of mode they're in trying to win championship number three.
This is not a big price to pay for a guy that could be a domino for this offense.
And you think about getting open and third and medium and that sort of thing.
They were from a protection standpoint afraid to get in third and long the other day.
But I also think part of it is, do they really have guys that can.
get open in this offense outside of Travis Kelsey.
You know, guys that really separate and get open.
It's a lot like the Buffalo thing.
It's a little different, but a lot like it.
Okay, Buffalo.
They got Shakir inside.
He can win, all right?
Really like Shakir.
They got Keon Coleman outside.
50-50 ball guy, freak of nature.
Guy you can throw the ball up too and he's going to come down with it.
Great body control the whole thing.
Big target, talented guy.
Not a route runner.
not yet marie cooper is one of the best route runners of our generation so when you talk about
when you need a guy outside to get open in buffalo now they have that they're playing with a full
deck you know kinkade's routing people as we speak that's one area of the field now you got
multiple options outside and kion kohmn kohmn not for nothing kion kohm went off the other day now
some people passed it off as you can see the immediate returns of having an amari cooper
in the building.
Well, I would say, you've got to watch the tape because they weren't even on the field for
for most of the work that Keon Coleman did together.
I mean, Cooper took 30% of the snaps.
That'll go up.
They're easing him into it.
Coleman had his best game as a pro.
Imagine if they're working together into December and into January.
Like, I think they got a full deck now from a skill set standpoint.
They get a guy who beat man coverage.
You know, his first fucking touchdown is, like,
like, hey, three seconds before the snap, what do I do, Keon Coleman, just go get open.
And that's what it looks like, you know.
So I think this is like a force multiplier type thing.
I don't want to get out over my skis, but Kansas City probably, and we said this,
they've echoed the sentiment that what we have in the building is enough.
And I still think it is, but this is free money here.
I mean, it's sent over a five might be a four at some point.
for a guy that could be the difference between you winning two championships in a row and three.
And he might be that guy this year, the third iteration, the best iteration of Tony Hardman,
and now you make a move for D'Andre Hopkins, a bona fide guy.
32, off an MCL, I believe, but he's still D'Andre Hopkins.
And that's just, he's going to look so cool in that fucking uniform, as an aside.
okay um the other one is and this one probably flew under the radar a little bit relative to uh what
we're talking about here but um ernest jones ernest jones headed to the seahawks i talked about
this last week i've been talking about for a couple weeks seahawks linebackers they have not been good
you know if you're wondering what the problem is there in the run game yeah some things up front
but those two guys in the middle have not done a good job and so
what they send over a four and a baker to Tennessee for ernest jones who you know a lot of people
scratch your heads as to why he wasn't in l.A. anymore now he's going to help a Seattle defense
that probably feels a lot better than they did a week ago you know the way they played this week
shutting down Atlanta that's the type of game that can turn the tide and prove to your team that
you should be buyers you know and conversely
tennessee given buffalo their best shot in the first half finding themselves down
or up 10-7 or whatever it was low-scoring game second half they just got fucking curb stomped
and i think you come out of that game and say credit to ranc carthin and company
and say hey we're not going to pretend anymore it's a yard sale you know we don't have to
pretend like this is a year where we're trying to win the whole thing and
And I think D'Andre Hopkins and Ernest Jones are evidence of that.
I think there are other players on that team who could come up missing soon.
You know, there's going to be a lot of phone calls coming in and out of Tennessee.
Now, for Calvin Ridley, he probably feels like Tom Hanks in Castaway when the big boat came by.
And he was like, fuck, what about me?
I'm here.
You didn't see me?
He's stuck.
Search and Rescue came through, scooped up DeAndre Hopkins, put him in the little basket,
pulled him up into the helicopter.
They were like, we'll be right back.
But I don't know if anybody's coming for Galvin Ridley because that damn contract.
And because Will Levis has single-handedly distressed that asset, not single-handedly.
It wasn't just him.
Jacksonville did it last year too.
And at some point, he's done it as well.
I want to be fair to the organizations that have both kind of.
a whiffed on him the last couple years but when again when you say hey here are some targets
for calvin ridley and you show me those targets on a highlight tape i haven't seen a target
in the true sense of the word yet i mean he's barely getting catchable balls in tennessee
and so uh i'm i'm praying for that man fuck for the rescue helicopter to come so close
and get your homeboy and then leave you there in Tennessee.
That is a tough one.
So we hit the Buffalo trade.
And again, like I went back and looked at that thing.
I can see Buffalo being a lot better now.
I mean, this really helps them.
They have a full deck of skill sets.
We hit the Tennessee trade.
Seattle's going to be better in the middle.
They also got some guys up front now.
We talked about Cooper Cup.
We've talked about Kansas City, how they're going to be better.
Now let's hit a quick mailbag.
I'm just going to run through a mailbag real quick and get the hell out of here.
You know, I got shit to do.
I got to go home.
I got to go sweat out this Evan Williams.
This is from Holden Canter.
What do you think of the Matthew Stafford trade rumors?
I'm not going to fall for the Okeedoke.
What is the truth nowadays?
Like, what is the truth?
When we're looking to ML football and Dov Climing and any old blue check for the truth,
I don't know if I believe that rumor.
What the rumors say?
They were in talks with Minnesota.
Like to actually, come on, bro.
Minnesota's 5 and 1.
The quarterback is not the problem.
There really aren't a lot of problems on that team.
And yeah, could you, could you stand a reason that peak Matthew Stafford is better than what we've seen from Sam Donald?
Sure, absolutely.
But is it like, is that the move you're making?
I don't know, man.
I don't think so.
I think if that's a legit thing, what that's doing is drumming up a market for Matt
Staffer, which would exist, I would think, if they knew that he was being shopped.
If people knew that he was being shop, who would make the trade for him?
Before Tula was coming back, I would have said, hey, Miami would be a fun destination.
But it feels like the teams that would be buyers are fewer and fewer right now.
Like, is a team like Vegas that desperate?
You know?
Like, really?
It's a rental.
You know what I mean?
Like, they want to start the clock on the future.
That's a team that wanted to draft Jaden Daniels this year.
Couldn't get up to do it.
You think I'm going to trade for a 40-year-old?
Like close.
I don't know, he's not 40.
I'm projecting.
I'm almost 40.
I'm not going to make a big fucking deal about it.
I'm just going to go about my business.
He's 36.
I'm around and wait.
up. Maybe
Stafford's got a couple more years in him. Maybe you see him
in the silver and black. What do you think?
I think it's a rumor.
You talking about the Steelers?
Nah.
Uh-uh.
All right. The next
one would be
if I could interview one player
or coach on the pod here based on
first seven weeks of the season.
Who would it be? And why that's from Justin
Serenzia. Thanks for the question,
Justin.
honestly am I guaranteed honest answers if that's the case i want uh kevin stefansky
i want to know what the fuck has been going on there i want to know where you were on this whole
thing i want to know how frustrated you were to run a totally different offense than yours
which is actually a very good one that's why you're head coach in the nfl
for a guy with like 40 civil cases over his head.
Can you imagine working your whole life to concoct like an offense that earns you a head
coaching job in Cleveland?
And a couple of years ago, you have Cleveland in the playoffs.
You beat Pittsburgh.
You score 40 points.
And you're like, yeah, we got this thing rolling.
In a couple of years, I see myself, you know, coaching a pervert and changing my whole
offense for him.
and then having to seed play calling duties to Ken Dorsey middle of the year.
What the fuck is that?
What is going on in that building?
Like what is going on in that building that you have players standing tall for teammates like DeShon Watson?
How dysfunctional is your life right now, Kevin Stefansky?
Welcome into the show now, Kevin Stefansky.
my first question for you is do you like coaching a pervert if i could really ask the questions i want
to ask of people i would i would i mean it'd be incredible but chris you don't cheer people when
they're down extenuating circumstances friend all right um where does juan soto sign in the off
season do you think i've watched a minute of baseball since the phillies got eliminated and i only did
that because of my kids.
There's a lot of football on right now.
Could give a fuck where Juan Soto signs in the offseason.
No idea where he plays now.
You think I'm joking.
Watching the World Series.
Who's still in it?
He's on the Yankees and they're playing the Dodgers.
Oh, so that's what's happening.
No more Subway Series?
No more Subway Series.
Dodgers won the NL.
I mean, it's basically the biggest, like, most marquee matchup MLB could have.
Mr. Ace McCoy, why are GM suddenly willing to trade in season? What's changed over the last five years?
Well, I want to amend your question. And I want you to ask me, why are GM suddenly willing to trade so many wide receivers?
I think the answer in that scenario is, and I heard Bill talking about it today, is like, what good is a wide receiver do you if you can't get them the ball?
And that's the case in a lot of these situations. And so, like, there's no player.
that you want to get off your books more than a guy that you brought in with the hopes
that you go for a thousand yards, but you can't even get into the fucking football,
a la D-hop, or any number of these other guys.
And like, Coop, yeah, he could still rack up a lot of yards in L.A.
He's also not played a lot over the last couple of years.
Another reason why I think whoever it is making this deal, especially if it's for two,
you have to be sure you're a contender.
This is like a rental-type deal.
This is like, let's get this guy while we can.
Hopefully not for a two.
Do the Vikings break the streak of teams playing the lions this week?
Ooh, look out.
I already bet the Rams.
I think in my mind's eye, in the minds eye of the guy who bet the Rams at 1 a.m.
the other night.
I think what it is for me is I'm imagining Sean McVeigh saying,
Matthew, we've had a great history.
I'm going to trade you next week to some other team.
Let's go out and throw for 400 yards.
Let's jack your price up.
Same with you, Cooper.
Even though I'm not sure he plays,
I wouldn't play him if I was about to trade him.
But like, let's say, hey, one last hurrah for the team that won a Super Bowl.
You know what I mean?
Like, let's go out there and torch these guys.
They're going to have the Detroit Lions hangover.
TM Greenlight Pod, middle of fields open.
I really, really, really like the Rams catching four.
Now, I don't know what you can get it now for, but I bought up to four early in the week.
So yeah.
I mean, and Macon doesn't listen to shit at all.
So he's not going to hear this.
But I do like the Rams in this spot.
It just feels right.
Just feels right.
