That was a lot of bad football today.
It was a lot of bad football today,
including, I guess, the Giants blowing their chance to be buyers at the trade deadline
and make a run at this thing.
That was a hideous way to close out what would have been a very impressive road win for the New York Giants.
I had one eye on that game the entire afternoon.
Cowboy Reed here, Bronco's superfan.
going nuts at the end of the game. That was some Pact 12 after dark shit, dude. That was wild.
The game was on an edible. And honestly, you know, with them honoring D.T. and everything,
and putting him in the ring of honor, God rest his soul. Like, one of the most beloved dudes
in Denver Broncos history. Certainly, certainly.
a wild way to finish that game because it was going to be very disappointing to me as a football fan
if that was the outcome the day you put a guy like that in the ring of honor and i know what happens
on the field is what happens on the field and like no you know you have to execute you have to play well
and that sort of thing but like when you have an emotional shot in the arm like that on a day like that
where you know you're honoring somebody like that and there's dudes back in the building
legendary dudes back in the building and you play like that and you play like that
for I don't know fucking 45 minutes 50 minutes of football and find a way to win that game to me if I am
that giant's defense I'm not taking my headphones off the entire fucking flight home that might be I
don't know who's got the worst flight home the kicker or the defense probably the kicker the kicker
is going to get a lot of the blame but uh you know one of the things I thought I could hang my hat on
because I did bet the Broncos to close out a teaser,
none of your business, nor do you care about it.
Tennessee football and what I bet on today,
not something you're interested in.
But like the reason I felt comfortable thinking,
hey, the Broncos are going to win the game,
not cover, win the game,
is because Sean Payton's a damn mastermind, right?
And I thought, you know,
watching the Giants a week ago called defenses,
against the Eagles.
I thought he would have the advantage.
And obviously for much of the game, he didn't.
But that fourth quarter surge that the Broncos are getting to be known for rang true.
I just, I couldn't believe it.
I couldn't believe they got that many possessions.
And, you know, the backbreakers, the pick to Stranod.
I mean, everything else, you can play with your food.
You can fuck around, but it was going to be damn near impossible.
I couldn't believe it.
The ball that went off one dude into Theo Johnson's hands for a touchdown,
it was like seven circle of hell stuff.
Just an unbelievable performance in the fourth quarterback.
Honestly, both quarterbacks really gutsy by Jackson Dart.
I did not think that was PI on Riley Moss at the pylon.
That was going to be a real shame if they lost the game.
On account of that, look, there's bad calls in every football game.
I noticed that today when I was sitting around watching football.
That it's not just when your favorite team plays.
It's every game.
There are questionable calls, and that would have been a tough one because Riley Moss did get his head around.
So we'll go through the all-22 of that game, get back to you tomorrow on it at the 2 o'clock live show.
But that was the headliner in retrospect in the 4 p.m. window.
Green Bay got taken to the wire.
You know, it's funny, this week I heard a lot of chatter.
A lot of guys with skinny necks talking about Micah Parsons
and the impact he's not making.
And, you know, just kind of like doing the stat thing or doing the, you know,
he's not making an impact.
If I see another person talk like that, you know, it's a team football game.
Green Bay's offense, not quite firing on all cylinders today.
from what I saw on the side TV there.
But from Michael Parsons,
people wanted to know when was he going to get home.
He got home three times today.
Affected the past from the entire game.
That's why you make that move.
The only puzzling thing to me was at the end of the game,
you go, and it works out for them
because this is how much they trust Tucker Kraft and Jordan Love,
but fourth and two, they go to Tucker Kraft with a chance to tie the game
with about two and a half minutes ago.
because at that point when LaFleur is weighing those options
and end up being the right call,
but I'm sitting there and saying,
hey, you know, this is why you brought Michael Parsons in.
Now, the game comes down to two Hail Marys.
But I just thought,
I thought, hey, if I'm Green Bay,
I'm going to kick the field goal and winning on defense
with two and a half minutes ago.
But it worked out for the better.
And then the big one was the Colts just boat racing and chargers.
I didn't see that one properly.
I didn't have my glasses on looking at that game.
And you know what?
Like it was the type of game, if you were on the Chargers,
you felt like as bad as they played, especially defensively,
they had chances throughout the entire football game.
It was an arm's length kind of game where it was just the amount of pressure
that the Colts offense puts on your offense,
you know, they go right down the field and score
and make it look easy, you know,
and then they go on an eight-minute drive
after you have to settle for a field goal
and convert on three-fourth downs.
The first one, Jonathan Taylor,
is hitting the backfield, dead to rights,
stresses out with the football.
He's able to, you know, find the sticks in traffic.
You end up culminating that drive with a fourth and two,
but there's just too much eye candy.
There's so much eye candy when you play this Colts offense.
It is a nightmare for people trying to get run past keys, you know, maintain your leverage.
And down on the goal line is a perfect example of that.
And Daniel Jones is a guy who's athletic enough to make you respect all the pull options.
And he was able to get out of some trouble today running, throwing the football.
I just, that offense is, it's a fucking wagon.
You know, somebody said today is like, there's an argument to be made.
you know, is there an argument to be made that they're the best offense in football?
And I would say it's Kansas City right now.
I also think Tampa Bay, if they're full strength during that conversation,
I'm sure we, you know, somebody's favorite team is being left out.
But they are in the conversation for me.
Now, the Chargers defensively, that was one of the most pitiful performances I've ever seen.
I never seen.
It just, you know, when I say that puts pressure on your offense,
And you're talking about a game script that Chargers did not want to play in, right?
With down to their seven fucking offensive tackle.
Again, Bobby Hart is in the game for this team.
I played against Bobby Hart in 2018.
He's been on 14 teams since.
He's popping up.
Bechtin's hurt.
He's out.
He's back in.
Deculis was hurt early in the game.
You know, when they said Justin Herbert got knocked down nine times in the game, I was like,
bullshit, dude.
He got hit 40 times in that fucking game.
That's what it felt like to me.
And, you know, there's going to be some people coming out of the game that are going to skewer him and have at it.
If you want to do the intellectual dishonesty thing, that's fine.
He was under siege back there.
He definitely should have, he should have passed up the throw in the end zone.
You know, that to me is, you know, we were sitting here looking at it as like the guy's pressing.
He's down two scores.
The Grover Stewart picket hits Grover Stewart in the fucking throat.
You know, otherwise, what can you do?
he is under siege. Nobody could have predicted those offensive line injuries for the for the LA
Chargers, but you kind of return to the conversation, not to get away from the Colts.
We'll talk about them a lot tomorrow. The Colts are the favor to win that division and are going to
play, you know, in their minds, they're competing for home field advantage. What a wild thought,
right? And I think that's going to come in handy for them because I think come January,
they're going to be one of the best teams in the AFC, but maybe not the best teams.
best team, right? You know, not a team that wants to go on the road the whole way.
If they're going to win the division, they're going to get at least a home game.
They should be talking about home field advantage in that building.
But when we talk about the Chargers and their aspirations, they're going to get Joe
off back.
They got some reinforcements back today.
But it just, and I'm doing this thing where I've tried to give them respect.
And you know I did if you're a Chargers fan and you listen to this podcast, they look so good in the
opener.
it looked like they closed some made some ground up with Kansas City who obviously didn't have
pieces in week one but I got to be real I don't know I don't know because of the defense the way
it looked today because of the lack of pass rush at times from this group you know they play
a lot of zone behind a rush group that's just not they're not dynamic they're not scary
I know they got Mack back today and you know you might say hey pump your
breaks. It wasn't a great game script or this, that, and the third. But if the offensive line's
going to look like that, it's going to be ugly at times for this team. I'm not saying they're
not going places, but do you think that team's going to beat a full strength Kansas City Chiefs team?
That's a tall task. That is a tall task. You talk about winning that division. You know,
the Broncos for a long time today, you know, you're going to come away from that game and say,
well, this is the Chiefs Division.
I think the Chiefs are going to continue to ascend
and look scary offensively.
And then, you know, the Broncos,
they're going to get two shots at those guys.
So that to me is like those two games are going to be massive.
Because I do think the Broncos match up okay against the Chiefs.
But for some reason, they end up in these situations with certain teams that,
you know, for much of the game today, they looked hapless.
For much of the game against the Eagles,
they looked hapless.
They found a way to turn it on in the second half.
So the AMC West is shaping up to be more of the same,
honestly at this point in the season.
And I hate to say that and I hate to reduce the charges to what they look like today.
But I've been hanging on by a thread watching this team ever since I said,
yeah, I'm going to jump out the gym forum like week two or whatever was.
I'm kind of sitting here hanging on a thread, like believing in this team.
And that is just a fucked up set up for a very good quarterback.
In my mind, he's one of the best on the planet.
You know, and there's going to be some people that are going to have to say,
hey, you got to show me.
Fine.
I also think if you watch that game, you would say, man, that offense is under a lot of pressure
on that offensive line is a turnstile unit right now.
Not to mention it down to the third running back and that sort of thing.
And it wasn't like they were playing with a full deck of cards outside to start the season.
And that's what Indy is playing with, is a full deck.
of cards. Big possession receivers. Guys that, I mean, they're taking shots. They're taking shots
up 20 to 3 before the half. Fucking Daniel Jones threw the ball probably 60 yards to pitman.
And thank God St. Juice just got a piece of it. But, you know, JJ Watt on the broadcast is saying,
hey, they're going to wish they had, you know, gone out and gotten a touchdown in this game.
But I think they just felt like the game was so under control. It really didn't matter.
getting that score to 20 was just fine or whatever it was, 23 to 3 at the half.
So Colts impressive as fuck, Jonathan Taylor playing it, you know, peak Jonathan Taylor level.
And the more games like this you get where you have a lead, the young pass rushers get more chances to kind of grow.
And, you know, whether you're talking about the Latu's of the world or the pays of the world,
who's been around the block seeing things a little bit.
But like it just, these are great opportunities for that group to pin their ears back in rush.
And I thought Zaire Franklin made a hell of a play, dude, a hell of a play down the seam.
I think it was on Mokke at the end of the game.
I think it was, but this is how terrible this offense is right now.
That was third and 22 that Zaire Franklin.
I mean, it's a dot.
And Franklin makes the play in the end zone.
They line up to go fourth and 22 and they get a delay of game.
And I think they were in a three-man route on fourth and 27.
And honestly, I can't fucking blame him because he's back there like Buddy Lee, dude.
It was terrible.
It's terrible.
It's like in Scarface where if Justin Herbert's like upstairs at the desk, like all his guys are just getting run through.
And eventually they're just going to get upstairs to the office, minus cocaine.
It's ugly, dude.
It's like the whole King's Guard is depleted.
They're all dropping like fly.
Anyways, let's go back to the, let's start from the beginning today.
International game, you know, on Friday I said,
hey, I think this Jacksonville slump is going to continue.
And, you know, I'm not going to write them off just yet.
But honestly, and I don't mean this to slight,
because there was a time where I, you know,
I had fallen for Carson Wentz, the quarterback.
And, you know, I was defending him.
And I thought he deserved chance after chance.
And we're going to get to that game in a minute.
but if you want to see what I think Trevor Lawrence is going to be in five years from now,
that's Carson Wentz on another team.
Like, the reason I'm not giving Trevor Lawrence the Carson Wentz treatment
is because I've already been through it with Carson Wentz.
Now, I'm not saying they're the exact same player or anything like that,
but the inconsistency from Trevor Lawrence,
and I'm not comparing his performance today to the performance of Carson,
Wentz because that was like that was like i'm trying to think of the uh analogy but some of the things
that cars and wince did in the red zone today were i mean they were mind boggling just fucking
mind boggling but big athletic strong dude questionable consistency questionable placement at times
questionable decision making and obviously for trevor lawrence in london this morning his receivers
let him down a lot they let him down all year i mean this team
probably leads the league in drops.
And Brian Thomas Jr., I think he's going through something mental at this point.
So, like, his hands stop working.
It's a very mental game football is.
I know it's very physical, but it's also a very mental game.
And for those guys, when you start dropping football,
I imagine it's like a baseball player being in a slump.
And honestly, some of the drops are ugly.
I mean, like, you get so accustomed to seeing guys in the NFL making tough catches with their hands
that when a guy stops stealing it, you're like,
what the fuck is this sport?
And he's supposed to be an elite wide receiver.
I think he has all the tools in his body to be that.
We kind of crowned him last year.
And this year, it's just the drops have been terrible.
I mean, Parker Washington dropped the ball on a dig that was like right in his hand.
So it ain't all Trevor Lawrence, but a lot, part of it is,
if you can't get in a consistent rhythm passing the football,
if you can't bank on the guy making the layups,
And by that, I mean, hey, you're throwing it out, put it right on the guy's hands.
You're throwing a ball to the flat.
Put it out in front of your running back.
Give him a chance to run.
You're throwing a screen.
Put the ball to the side of the play.
Okay?
Put the ball to the side of the action.
There are just so many situations for me and situations where he's a little bit late and might
complete a football.
And we might all stand up and say, oh, that's a good chunk play for Jacksonville.
But when you look at it, you say, man, that ball needs to.
to be out a little bit sooner.
The guy might have a chance to turn him run with it.
Or maybe don't pin the guy on the sideline with the placement of the football.
There are going to be some Jacksonville fans who are going to be coming for me about this.
Because, you know, as we talk about often like discussing quarterbacks in today's NFL is like discussing politics.
I don't know what it is about dudes that make their favorite quarterback, their identity.
There's only one guy that I got, I get kind of caught up.
I don't know what the word would be like I've become like a fan of admittedly is Josh Allen
I'm a Josh Allen fan a lot of people are like why is it so easy these fucking media members
to fall in love with Josh Howells because like he makes me feel like a fan when I watch him play
football um you know there are people that I that I like to defend like Bryce Young you know
it's like to take it's like investing in an emerging market or something like that like yeah
it's like fun you might make a lot of money with the take there are people
that I like I've liked fading historically like Tua. Trevor Lawrence is a guy that I like fading.
I just I don't I got to see more. And Liam Cohen, God bless him. I think he's a heck of a football
coach. I just think, you know, Jacksonville's defense, you talk about like L.A. coming in and we should
be talking about L.A. They're damn near undefeated this year. Almost doesn't count. Shout out to
brandy but like LA's got two losses on end you know uh field goals and a red zone trip
the ball gets punched out they probably score they win that game so you know if ifs were a fifth
we'd all be drunk but the point is this is a very good football team they're down Pook and Akua
um they're down rob havenstein they have to run a ton of 13 personnel they have to hey fuck
we're going to put 13 personnel on the field we're going to put 12 personnel on the field we're
going to find we're going to throw touchdowns the guys you never heard of
I mean, seriously, Sean McVeigh is a real deal football coach.
And the defense got a lot of underrated players.
Quentin Lake, you know, landmonds come on this year and just been a big part of that group.
And how about the defensive line?
We always talk about Jared Burst.
We should.
He's the guy that makes the very splashy plays.
You get a lot of style points when you just run somebody to fuck over and I love watching him play.
But I often get annoyed by the fact that people act like who,
the fuck are these other guys and that's purely a function of me wanting the other guys to be
respected more young is at eight and a half sacks i think um he strung out a boot for a sack today
fisk it was like kurt warner was allergic to saying his name today um he caused the very first sack of
the game he was all over the field just just terrorizing folks in the back foot you're talking about
a rookie the head eight and a half sacks and you come out of last year and he's an interior guy
and you're not he's the third or fourth guy you know out of people's mouths when you talk about
this ram's defense so just continuing to pay dividends having a group like that up front um and and traveling
well like going to l or going to lond and people saying well they just fucking got there this that and
the third like that's going to be a tough deal well when i when i played and we went to london i'd like
going early because, you know, in my mind, I wanted to get some sleep.
You know, it was like a mental thing, evidently.
Because they say, according to sleep scientists, you're not going to be able to adjust
so the best thing to do is come in and do like a tactical strike.
Right.
Just come in a night before the game, leave right after the game or what have you.
I don't know when the Rams left or if they're on the way back or they can spend
night there.
But that worked for fucking perfection for them.
and that's a team who had to stop in Baltimore.
You talk about how these trips are on teams,
on equipment staffs, on coaching staffs,
on like the setting up, the operations.
Sean McVeigh has made some decisions this week
that maybe some other coaches wouldn't have made,
but I'm pretty sure him, Reggie Scott,
the whole team, Reggie Scott head trainer,
sports science, all that stuff,
did a great job of engineering their entire road trip
because they came out ready to play.
And it was nice to see,
Devante Adams and Matt Stafford get on the same page a little bit.
For whatever reason so far this year,
Devante Adams has caught and missed a lot of bad balls from Matt Stafford.
Some of them have been on him, but some of them have been on the QB,
and that's very uncharacteristic.
And sometimes you wonder if he's trying to force it.
You know, you've got a great receiver.
He's new in town.
Pook is going off.
It depends on, you know, what poison the defense is chosen on any given day.
What matchup is the most, you know, favorable for you.
And sometimes I think like Devante's got to get the ball, right?
Like we got to force in the ball, keep him happy.
He's not that type of guy.
I don't think he's a diva.
He's catching the ball from a fucking great quarterback who's going to have him in the playoffs again.
But it's one of those things where you want to get in the ball.
So I'm really glad that they got some touch that they got a little bit more chemistry today ironed out.
And then, you know, Stafford was able to throw the ball to a couple guys I never fucking heard of.
So just just an ass kicking.
And for Jacksonville, they got to do some soul searching.
Because you all are the ones who went out and nabbed a corner, you know, the day after you beat Kansas City.
And we were all like, okay, we know what this is.
Like, do you think you can compete?
This is a declaration that you think you're pretty good.
Well, haven't seen the evidence of that since.
I think they've scored what, like 19 points in two weeks against two NFC West opponents.
And coming in this game, hey, I thought it's.
good as Chris Shula job as he's done, you know, you like some of the matchups outside for this Jacksonville offense.
And they weren't able to do shit.
So at some point, the quarterback has to take some accountability.
And I know every quarterback has a damn hive, but I've, H-I-V-E, a hive, which means like a fan club.
But like, why does any quarterback have a damn fan club besides Josh Allen?
I'm just fucking around.
But like, honestly, it should be a thing where, like, if you've got a favorite team,
your allegiance should be to the damn team.
I don't know why people sit here and they fall in love with the quarterback over the team.
You know, this football season, BetMGM wants to give you another chance at first touchdown
scores with BetMGM's second chance promotion.
You'll get your stake back in cash if your first touchdown scores, score second instead.
Bet on any pro football player to score the first touchdown of the game.

speaking of political debates over

let's get to the 1 p.m.
Markey matchup Philly
at Minnesota
what a fucking game dude what a what a what a game for the eagles morale what a game for the birds just
getting back on track they were on a razor's edge in this in this football game on this road trip
of coming home to philly to a shit storm i mean just just a nails performance honestly from
jalen hurts okay there's a lot of things that this this offense did well and
And I'm going to talk about Jalen Hertz and throws he made.
We always talk about he's one of the best deep ball throwers in the game.
I mean, we were waiting for somebody to throw the ball, or not somebody, him to throw the ball under center.
For instance, what time does this game start, 815?
Fuck me, I've got to put a bet in while I analyze this game right now.
What do we think, chat?
Do we think it's a Falcons night?
I kind of feel like it's a Falcons night.
I do, chat.
It's a pick-em.
It's a fucking pick-um.
I also think it's a...
You know what I'm going to do right now?
I'm going to take you through my thought process.
Miraculously, I bet about 30 times today.
I'm dead even.
I'm going to take the Falcons and the over and a teaser.
I'm going to buy the point.
Yes, I'm a coward.
And I'm going to take the Falcons straight up.
And that's what we're going to do, fellas.
us, ladies and gentlemen.
I'll tell you why.
Because Fred Warner makes a big difference.
Because Fred Warner makes a big difference.
I do think the reason if I had to play a total tonight, I'd probably play the over
is because George Kittles coming back.
And Kittle is a fucking dog in the run game.
If you haven't watched football over the last decade.
So we're going to, we're going to bet the Falcons.
we're going to tease the over
and we're going to get back talking about the Eagles.
I'm going to do a first touchdown too.
Here's the deal.
That was a complete win
because it took everybody to go on the road
and beat Minnesota, including Carson Wentz,
to be honest.
I was rooting for Carson Wentz to look good in this game.
I heard that sentiment for a lot of people.
I wanted the Eagles to win,
and I wanted Carson Wentz to look good.
You know what I'm saying?
I wanted both of the quarterbacks to look good
because Carson's a former teammate of mine.
you know, I've always liked the guy, but it just kind of feels like, and he's got, he's tough,
fucking good teammate, all that shit.
But the decision making is crazy from this guy sometimes.
And, um, whence is a roller coaster, okay?
He, he banged a couple outs, like he threw some nice outs today.
Um, found the soft spot in some zones.
but what the Eagles did on defense in the red zone and maybe more what the
what the Vikings did poorly in the red zone kind of define the game.
Vikings are one of six in the red zone.
Some just jaw-dropping sequences.
When I get stoned and I play Madden at night, I play as Carson Wentz.
And I don't mean I play with the Vikings.
Like that is, that's how I play.
You know, now I wouldn't miss ham.
in the flat.
If like that's the first read,
you know what I'm saying?
He misses Addison on a touchdown for on a bust.
I think it was a busting coverage.
You know, because I felt like Quinyan was playing like two and it was three.
So they get away with that one.
Misses an RPO for,
for what should have been a touchdown.
Then you end up with like a high snap and a field goal.
Second and one at the sixth,
they go fade.
Then it's incomplete.
And then fourth down the brand will hold,
which I actually didn't think it was a hold, to be honest.
I know some people might not know that rule.
You can yank people down.
It's a fine line between holding.
If you have your, I'm not going to do this here.
You come out in the second half, you get the run game going.
He misses in the flat, and then the grounding sequence was crazy.
It was crazy.
And there were moments in the red zone where the Eagles defense really stepped up.
I thought Dijin was nails all game, as he always is.
That guy's got, his pulse doesn't change, bro.
He's just, he's a fucking side.
cyborg. But in the red zone, when the Vikings motion to create that little bunch there,
and they sorted it and the Jomo had the sack, that's the gene communication. I can't remember
at that point. I think at that point, you're down, you know, you're down, you're down a corner
and Ringo's on the field. You're down to Dory Jackson at that point, I think. And so, like,
the egos have had to deal with changing faces in the secondary all year long.
I thought that was a huge sequence for them.
But the offense, here's what it was.
We're going to try to run the ball.
And I think Brian Flores made a decision in this game.
Hey, we're going to load the box and we're going to make Jaylon beat us.
And the last time somebody did that, it didn't work out in the Super Bowl.
Last time of note that I remember that there seemed to be a decision made.
And we're going to make this guy beat us.
And he did.
And, you know, the one thing that,
I'll say like constructive criticism for the offense is a lot of these things are taking a while right like
average time to throw 3.44 seconds you'd like to see some of the you know some more timing routes and that
sort of thing but it felt like to me they had a bunch of third and longs everything wasn't great with
the offense like we were this close to walking out of this game and saying like fuck fire patula do the
whole thing like whatever um and you know it because you were watching the game too but they had enough big
moments, clutch moments, the quarterback made clutch throws, right? The off script stuff to AJ.
They're like, run that way, dude. The middle of the field throws. Like before the game,
people were talking about, hey, Jeff McLean had a really interesting one. You know,
middle of field, intermediate level throws, half the league average in volume and half of last
year. So kind of an area that they were staying away from, he made some huge throws in the
middle field with guys in his face.
Huge throws, including it was the AJ Brown touchdown before he got hot miced in the end
zone.
He is a brilliant deep ball thrower.
And honestly, it kind of backfired B. Flo's game plan.
I just, I don't know if I would have played like that, but so what.
And, you know, people were asking for more play action, right?
How's an 80-yard house call?
Especially play action under center.
Nate Tice pointed this out.
It's only the seventh under-center play action pass from the Eagles this year.
The prior gains were 2-0-0-0-0-negative 1, 7, and 1.
So this is a definite step in the right direction when it comes to just the big playability of the offense.
You'd love to see them play with more rhythm.
You know, I'm not sitting up here hating on a win on the road.
I would like to see a little bit more consistency.
If you play like that,
if you play like that against like a major league quarterback,
it might not go that way, right?
There were a lot of red zone miscues in Carson.
Just, I mean, if anything,
makes you feel really good about the decision that was made some years back.
Right.
But I thought the offensive line was fucking fantastic.
I mentioned a 3-4-4 time to throw.
that that's good i mean the offensive what what they allow him to do and honestly
it's kind of like right now the offense is his best when he's back there baking a cake
somebody wins or you know you can't call it a win when it's three seconds into the fucking
protection but what that does is essentially makes it a three-man rush he picks the side
rusher gets washed by you have an athletic quarterback who can kind of move roll out of the pocket
and he's got a good knack for that.
I think he's getting better at that rolling right thing.
I remember a couple years ago when he would roll right,
I was like, man, just burn the ball.
Nothing good is happening.
But right now, I feel like late in the down, they kill you.
And there were some really third and not manageable situations for him.
And he fought his way out of those situations by making the big throws.
And the guys outside made the big catches.
That was really good.
That was really good.
I mean, it could have been better, but it was really good.
It was a step in the right direction, for sure.
And sometimes going on the road and getting a fucking win like that,
where it ain't perfect.
And I haven't even mentioned Vic Fangio and that sim pressure
that gets Jalen Hertz one-on-one with the center.
And, you know, the thing that made...
Who did I say? Jailen Hertz.
Jailen Hertz is so fucking good.
He's playing both sides of the ball.
Big Fangio is like, put him in.
No, so Jalen Carter, who I just talked about, I said the other day, I watched all his pass rush snaps.
He's fine.
He's just, he was out of shape early in the air, just to not sugarcoat it.
And honestly, I think he got tired of getting the slide and getting doubled.
But the defense looks totally different with him on the field.
You can see that compared to, you know, last Thursday, which we didn't even need to think about.
But, you know, he's been at the scene of the, you know, he's done three.
Five of the picks, three of them are on him, and I say on him in a good way.
And they're huge plays in the Eagles young season.
Kansas City, goal line, Travis Kelsey, he slightly speeds up Mahomes.
He's winning on that rep.
Mahomes speeds up, balls out a little bit quick on the pivot.
Pick, right?
Huge play.
Tampa, Mayfield, fucking rolling out.
Jalen Carter didn't really win a run.
rush, but the hustle to pull him up, cut him off at the pass,
force Mayfield to make that throw, which he should know.
And I think that was right into Campbell's hands.
That feels like a month ago, probably because it was.
And then today, you know, again, forcing a huge play in that game.
If you want to go on the road and win, you got to run the football.
Didn't really do that, but it set up the pass.
Number two, if you can take the ball away, that's even better.
if you can take the ball of win,
score on defense,
your chance to win that game go up astronomically.
So just a big win for the birds.
Miami, Cleveland,
just a couple little quick hitters here.
Miami and Cleveland,
what could be better than two left-handed quarterbacks playing
in a hurricane?
And one of the coaches
is wearing gold-framed glasses.
It's overcast.
And my man has shades
on on the sideline.
I'm a Mike McDaniel fan,
and I'm trying not to buy into the body language
or like the Capri Pan thing
because part of my take was all over that
and the whole thing.
I don't know how I could say I'm a Mike McDaniel guy.
I guess here's why I would say I'm a Mike McDaniel guy
because I know that the quarterback's incredibly limited
and he basically cock blocked that window.
I mean, they had a window there.
And I think if there were some other players
playing quarterback for that team,
they'd have some playoff wins at the very least.
But at 3.39 p.m. Eastern on 1019,
Quinn Ewers checked into the football game.
And I didn't ready a statement.
But if this is it, and I don't know if this is it,
and I don't mean for the head coach, I mean for the quarterback,
I just want Dolphins fans to know this.
And this is, I'm serious now.
And if I met any y'all at the bar,
and I've had arguments with y'all over the years about said quarterback,
to a
who's not winning at the podium
either right now.
I'm a human being, dude.
I don't want people,
like I played in the NFL.
And like I remember the pressure
on me.
So I never revel in somebody's failures.
But I felt gaslit
for a couple years
over that player.
I mean, like,
I never doubted my take,
but I was like, bro,
are you just,
are you just blind?
Like, are you just,
is this a fucking bit
that you're telling me this guy is as good as
Josh Allen, he's as good as Patrick Mahomes,
he's as good as, because numbers?
I just, like,
I'm not going to do a victory lap
because it would be my seventh,
but I just wanted to say,
like, I never had a problem
with the person playing quarterback,
and it was never personal,
and honestly,
I'm wrong about shit all the time,
and it's totally fine that you were for years.
I'm just glad that we can,
kind of finally put this to bed um anyways Vegas Kansas City interesting stat and then we'll get
out of here so I want to watch this football game we got Neil Sean shown the guitarist for
journey doing something up there yeah he's fucking hyped um hmm first down's Kansas City 30
plays run Las Vegas 30 that's not a glitch
Like that that's a real stat
Fucking crazy dude
Chiefs are winning that division
And I hate to say it because I was
Pulling for the Chargers to like finally pull the sword
From the stone but like
This you know and I said earlier this year
I was like I don't know if I see it with the Chiefs
I see it
Unfortunately I see it
That offense is going to be terrifying
That offense is going to be terrifying
What kind of moves they make at the deadline
who knows.
But if they make moves at all,
I think the defense could use a little
grease in the squeaky wheel there
if we're nitpicking, but
that offense is fucking scary.
Somebody said having riceback is huge too.
Yeah, absolutely. It's big.
And that at least, my contention of come to the year
was this offense because of the offensive line
and Josh Schimmons dealing with whatever he's dealing with,
you know, like, and it's a personal issue.
Don't need to say anything else.
I don't know.
I don't know what's going on.
You hope he's fine as a person, first and foremost.
But secondly, whenever he comes back to play football,
that offensive line is as good as any offensive line
that Patrick Mahomes had over the past three years, right?
And so when you keep him upright and you get the consistency of having brown,
rice and who did I leave out worthy on the field at the same time with an aging but still
Travis Kelsey and a stable of backs there's no thoroughbred but it's a stable of backs
it's going to look fucking scary the thing I have worries about concerns about is
the defense I still do but maybe one or two moves deadline and spags has continued
tinkering with the secondary turns them into the team to beat.
It kind of feels like in the AFC right now, they are the team to beat.
And that is because, and you know me, I love Josh Allen.
But Josh Allen's got a plate different than Justin Herbert, but from the standpoint of what the team has to overcome, it's not dissimilar.
It's like their defense is in rough shape.
What about us as a Colts fan?
Oh, yeah.
Well, the Colts are in there.
Colts are in there.
Colts in the AFC,
it's the Chiefs, it's the Colts, it's the Bills.
They're not, you know, the other night people were like, well, what do you say now?
I'm like the fucking, I don't know.
Like, all the wide receivers are hurt.
Like, what do you think that's going to look like?
And I think this Atlanta group is pretty good.
But the defense is rough.
I started looking at a Buda Baker deal this morning.
I was like, I wonder if they could go.
But I'll tell you,
what the Cardinals, we didn't even talk too much about the Packers, but the Cardinals are playing
tough football. Jacoby Brissette should be the quarterback going forward.
You know, we were talking about it earlier. I don't think a coach has that kind of like,
I don't think Jonathan Gannon has that kind of time thanks to the quarterback who's been
taking snaps from under center. So now it's like, just far too often this league, we judge a
quarterback by where he's been, you know, but what is he doing right now for the football team?
he's putting them in positions to win games and and so i think he should be the guy going forward
um yeah somebody said chukobi might see the new practice field he might that joke is because
uh and somebody go get this fucking uh devon a chain guy somebody go get him uh i hope not the cheese
for everybody else's sake i i want the i want the i want the i want
the, where's the, there's this meme.
Somebody said, this is A-chan.
You see that?
That's a Maserati.
Or maybe a Bugatti.
I don't know my fucking, like, expensive cars, dude.
I drive a tundra.
In, in sitting outside of a shotgun shack.
That's kind of what it looks like watching him play football in Miami.
So somebody go rescue that guy.
All right.
that is that.
Somebody said, I want the bills to get H-H-H-H-H-N.
If I had a decision to make, if I was Brandon Bean,
and I could put out the fire one place on my defense,
that's considering you're going to get Maxwell Hirsten back,
if they know that and they know that he can really play,
because that's a mystery,
I'd probably get a, I'd go get a safety.
I'd go get a safety.
And I don't know if you can throw any more at that pass-rush issue they have,
but they have a pass-rush issue.
So, chargers could use a lot.
Somebody said chargers use H-N.
I'm telling you, fucking chargers could use,
I don't know what they could use,
but they're down to their,
I heard today somebody said they're down to their six offensive tackle.
And that's some sobering shit.
Football is an injury guaranteed sport, man.
It's not in the contracts or not,
but it's 100% injury sport.
Anyways, that was a pretty,
That was a pretty mid day of football.
Maybe this Sunday night football game's got something in store for us.
So y'all take care.
Come back 2 o'clock tomorrow.
We will have a live show for y'all.
Take care.
