Joining me now on the Greenlight Pod, my buddy, George Foster, the seating committee of our Outcast 64 bracket, which we just wrapped this week. It's ambitious. I can't believe we did it. We talked about it for a few years now. The thing about brackets are when you're on the other side of it, it's not so fun because you catch a lot of shit. And I am thankful to have a dude like George do the seating. George, we caught a lot of flack. How'd you do with it?
I was ready for the flag, man.
I didn't care.
I knew it was going to be hard because it's outcast.
They got a freaking hundred songs you can put on that bracket.
And we had to do the impossible and just pick three to four.
The people needed the content.
And we're in the middle of a pandemic.
All right.
So normal circumstances would demand that we probably treat this delicate.
And we, you know.
And you know what?
You talk about the flag we talked, but I would have to say it was much, much more positive than anything else.
No doubt about it.
People loved it.
No doubt about it.
People enjoyed the bracket.
They had their feelings on it.
Even once they had the feelings on it, they really enjoyed it.
And that's what we did before.
Outcast Springs, I would call it the best out of everyone.
it does. I would agree.
Even, like, listen, most, and I said this yesterday, and for those of you all tuning in listening to our bracket reveal here, me and George Foster, you need to go back and check out the Rico Wade interview for any casual Outcast fans or Outcast fans from any walk of life.
You got a lot to learn listening to somebody like Rico.
Tell stories about the dungeon, about the inception of Alcast, which was more than just, you know, when Southern Playalistic,
dropped. It wasn't just a debut album. It was something that was important for the South and, you know,
the sound in the South and the vibrations from that movement are still being felt, damn, like about
20 years later. So the Rico interview was awesome and George came through in the clutch with that
connection. Hey, man, we enjoyed that, man. Rico is a good person to talk to, especially about music.
He's passionate about it.
He's very integral
into what the Dungeon family
became
because he, you know,
Rico's going to say what he wants to say.
He's going to be passionate about it.
And he was like the voice.
And the other gave chance of some of the more
introverted guys to just sit back and do their things.
And like the other
third of the two thirds
of the organized noise.
They don't talk a bunch.
Sleepy is a little bit more extroverted than Ray, aka Yoda,
because Ray don't talk much at all.
I've seen him talk in the studio, but you're not going to hear anything in the media from Ray.
Yeah, it was funny.
It was good to talk.
I've watched Rico interviews.
Yeah, I've watched Rico interviews.
And, like, I'd seen Ray and Rico doing an interview together,
and Ray just kind of hangs out, you know, because he's not much for talking to the media.
And Rico is he can tell stories for days.
He's got insight.
He's got, you know, the whole nine yards.
So it's real cool again.
We've got go back and check it out.
Dungeon stories, like literally what the dungeon looked like smelled like how high the ceilings were.
He told stories about he talked about players ball was almost named something completely different.
I don't think either of us had ever heard that.
I certainly hadn't.
No.
You know, he told stories about Big and how Biggie was a fan of Outcast and just a ton of insightful stuff, including there was a Prince mention in there and why Prince wouldn't work with Outcast.
But it wasn't a bad thing.
It had more something to do with it.
Prince was more interested in working with female artists.
So it was insightful.
It was cool.
And Rico, having never met him and George knowing him, being able to, you know, we'll be able to.
to get us on the phone.
Man, for me,
I was blown away at how chill down the earth he is.
So go check that one out.
And the nice thing about having George,
and I've joked about this,
as the seating party,
the committee for this bracket is,
you know,
like,
first off,
I'm Caucasian.
So if I'm going to do an outcast fucking bracket,
you know,
I'm,
it's like easy target.
And,
you know,
what's nice is when people had problems
with the seating,
I was like,
hey, this dude from Macon, Georgia, who's actually 40 and saw outcast in its inception,
and is three inches taller me and about 40 pounds heavier than me, you can go talk to him.
So, and as George said, he's built for the smoke like a chimney.
Yes, sir.
It was good.
It was fun, though.
It was fun.
Let's dive in this thing.
64 songs.
We got four regions, which were funny again.
when I push this thing out
we had
the South DeKalb Mall
Greenbrier Mall
we had Lennox Mall
and we had South Lake Mall and it was funny
when I pushed this out people were like what the fuck does
Chris Long know about South Lake Mall?
Yeah buddy I had to put a
little twist on it man
came out great yeah I'm like dude
just read the fine print I don't know
anything about the South Lake Mall in fact
which mall is the Beth
the best. Give me the mall breakdown.
Depends on what you call best.
Like Greenbrier,
greenbriar, you can call it the Hood Mall.
Okay.
You know what I mean? People from there.
And it's crazy because nobody would believe it, you know,
but I live like, I call it hood adjacent.
But yeah, you'll take a picture in my house and you probably,
and I tell you, I live about a hood.
you call me a fat lie, but it's true.
I don't live that far from Greenbrier, actually.
And that's what people call the Vitt Mall.
If you ever see any people talk about, I believe that's where,
I think Eddie's Gold used to be in there.
You hear any old Atlanta artists talk about Gold and Teeth.
They probably got them from Eddie,
and I think, I believe Eddie's is in Greenbri.
Okay, so is Eddie?
Green Brow Mall has a lot of history.
You will hear it in all kind of songs.
If they're in the Atlanta artist,
they talk about Greenbrier in their songs.
Now,
best mall where you probably can get most of the high-end stuff
on this bracket is Linux mall.
Okay.
You know, Linux, you went to Linux
when you got your little money in your pocket.
You can go get you something with a car on or Gucci or whatever.
You do like that.
You're not getting none of that at Green Bride.
If you get that at Green Bride,
is counterfeit.
It's Louis Vuitton, but it's not.
Yeah, it's Fucci.
You get the Fucci at Greenbrier in Lenox,
and the high end.
And South Lake and DeKalb there in the middle.
It's just, yeah, South Dakota Mall,
that's on the east side in DeKalb County.
You know, so the thing about Atlanta,
you're going to have a mall for each side of town.
you know so you don't have to
you don't have to leave unless something else
you really wanted another mall
well it sounds like a terrific place
the start the start contrast
probably between Lennox and Greenblower
got you
I love them both I probably
probably been to Greenberg
who's got the best food court
which sounds tremendous right now
I could fuck up a food court at a mall
right now I've been eating
the same shit for three weeks
that's a good
That's a good one, Chris.
A little fat man tendency.
I don't know because
food courts in the hood mall,
they change.
Because, like, you got,
like, mom and pop stuff that comes and goes.
And so,
Lennox,
but I probably have to say Lennox, man.
Lennox,
Lennox has a variety of things.
Right.
Yeah, it's bigger,
so it naturally has more.
restaurant. Except green brown, you probably get you, you probably get you a good, a good
12-piece wings. That sounds good right now. Some of the best wings I've ever gotten were in
places that I wouldn't normally think to eat, and those places were in East St. Louis.
No question. Okay, so we had four, as I mentioned, regions here, 64 teams again.
I challenge you with your favorite band or your favorite group or your favorite artists to be able to field a field of 64 songs.
That's how great.
I mean, yeah.
I'm a good song.
And there were people that complained, okay, there were some omissions, and I get it.
You know, Spaghetti Junction was one that people talked about that was left out.
Prototype.
Prototype.
But again, when you get into the prototype thing, and you could say this about a few songs here in the bracket in its entirety.
It's not really like there are no verses on it.
It's different.
But you know, you could say the same thing about a few of these songs that made the tournament.
Storytelling Part 4 was left off.
We put war on twice, so the running joke is that we really wanted war to win.
I don't care for that song exceptionally, particularly.
So, you know, it was just a total mistake.
And some people complain about explosion getting left out.
Oh, I forgot about explosion.
Yeah.
me quite without that one.
Yeah.
I had gasoline,
dream.
Gasoline dreams.
Yep.
Yeah.
But you know what?
So that's huge.
It's impossible, though.
It's impossible.
They have a hundred,
easily a hundred good songs.
Yep.
Who had,
who, who has that?
In music,
I don't know.
I don't.
I can't think off top.
I don't know.
I mean,
definitely not a hip-hop.
No, in hip-hop,
in hip-hop,
it'd be difficult.
I, you know,
I'm sure you'd find,
some Wu-Tang fans that if you, you know, but that's more artists.
Yeah, but they meant Wu-Tang didn't have as many good albums.
No, in my opinion.
They had two, they had two, they had two, like, when I say like, like, that hit, that hold a place in, in hip-hop history, they have two.
Yep.
Yep.
I have had all of that.
Yeah, they were all uniquely impactful in different.
ways, although I will ask you, and we left out the Ida Wild stuff, what does Ida Wilde mean to you?
I love Ida Wilde. To me, it aged incredibly well. It was another album that wasn't like any of the others,
but it was different, but it was more of a soundtrack. I love the movie, by the way. I think it's one of the
best most underrated
movie days and it's shot perfectly
and it looks amazing
on screen and so
the album kind of followed
the movie and I
grew to love the album more and more
we have Hollywood the Forest
on here that's from that's from the movie we do have
that and then Mighty O
Mighty O
yeah
got a little love
yeah you threw some out of wild stuff in here but I
appreciate you not not and you you are very people complaining about your seating but you
seated it exactly how it played out so I don't know that you were always seating your
favorite songs highest you were seating them maybe according to popularity yeah no no
question like um phobia is uh what is that a 16 16 and we're gonna yeah it's a it's a 16 and that's
one of my favorite song my favorite outcast song yeah big roo we had an amazing job at the
beginning in that song.
And it's just,
it has a theme,
and those guys,
they showed out.
Yeah,
Big Rube,
man.
Big Rube was so valuable
to so many songs
and never really
rapped a thing.
I saw him
at Backbones show.
He hosted Backbones show,
like the days
or two before the Rona
shut us all down.
Really?
So that was good.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
I see Rube,
I see Rube from time to time.
he hangs out with backbone sometimes.
It was interesting hearing Rico talk about,
and he didn't talk about this in our interview,
but I'd heard him talk before about him and Big Rube,
how they met in high school.
They both had an appreciation for, you know, New York hip-hop.
And I think he said that he caught Big Rube walking through the hall
with, I think it was a Wu-Tang hat or something like that
and stopped him.
And they basically, their friendship started over an appreciation for New York hip hop.
Let's start in the South DeKalb Mall region.
Okay, I'm going to run through the, for people who aren't following, you could follow George at George.
What is it, George Foster 72?
Yeah, yeah.
At George Foster 72.
72 again being his football number.
George was a long time.
offensive linemen for a number of teams.
What, lions, Broncos, where else?
At the end, the Colts.
Colts, right, just before I was that.
That's the picture I didn't see, but I really liked you posted a picture the other day
of Sean Taylor and you were trying to tackle Sean Taylor.
He called him an inception, and, hey, I'm not going to, I'm not belabor.
I'm going to try to make a tap with him.
Did you get him down?
He did.
No, but I think he got, he went down like a couple steps after he, I turned him back inside.
Yeah, it's a leverage, man.
Oh, yeah.
I know that much about the game.
I knew I knew to shoot for that outside league.
Good.
It was a great picture.
So, at George Foster, 72, and I am, shit, am I, uh, LaFlamo Blanca 95, or is that, uh, no,
I'm Joel, that's my Instagram.
So Instagram plug there.
You could go at Joel 9-1, number 9-1 spelled out.
And you can check out.
I'll post this again in the morning with your link to this podcast,
a blank bracket that you can follow along to.
So top left, as you look at the bracket here,
we've got players ball facing off with one of George.
his favorite songs of 16 and phobia.
All right, what do you have here?
Yep, I went with Players Ball, man.
I love Phobia.
Like I said, one of my favorite Outcast songs.
But Players Ball, that's just with our introduction down here to Outcast,
and that song means a lot to most people down here.
So I have to go with Players Ball.
Love Phobia, though.
Yeah, you know what?
And we said it, you know, Big Rube was awesome on Phobia.
obviously what the higher learning soundtrack.
There's a good line in there
about mistaking phobia
for true fear,
whereas fear
is a gift from God
to be used for self-preservation.
I like that one, but it's not enough.
I got players ball as well,
first single, the whole nine yards.
There's a ton of places,
there's a ton of spots in that song
that I absolutely love.
And I know you like the reprise.
Yeah, I like the reprise version.
The reprise, the play is about reprise is on the album, but it's just sleepy singing.
And which is still phenomenal.
It does kind of like sleepy solo big debuts.
Just to go back, circle back, or I don't know if you know about it.
So now, Rico, you see that Rico.
met Rube in school
Well, they had a
They had a
Him Sleepy
And Rube had a group
It's called Society of Soul
And you can go back and listen
To that album too
It's strange everywhere
Society of Soul
And yeah
That's um
That's RICO and Rube
Together as artists
But um
But yeah
Sleepy
On the reprise
Residence they're thinking
where when the video came out,
and really the first time we heard players ball
is the beat to the reprise over the verses.
So I love that version better.
I love pianos when it comes on.
You can hear those chords, and then they just kick into it.
And that's also when with the Rico.
That's Rico, I don't know if you knew that.
Yeah, at the beginning.
Yeah, which is cool, because, like,
I wanted to tell us, I was trying to explain to my wife Meg, who I was trying to explain to her who I was interviewing the other night and why it was such a big deal to me.
And I was like, okay, like, listen, if you ran back Alcat's first album in 1994, the first person you hear on an Outcast album is Rico.
And, you know, it's just an iconic song.
It sounds like, you know, growing up in Macon or growing up in Georgia, um,
and you hear that song for the first time,
what was it like the climate down there
from a hip hop standpoint?
And did you know it was like,
this is a big deal?
Man, it was just this, this is who,
they were like ours.
You know what I mean?
We had artists before,
but it's different we got hip hop,
which is the fastest growing genre,
the biggest genre in the world.
And we get,
guys that talked like us,
looked like us, wear what we
were,
putting on for, basically putting on for the
state. And so they were like
instantly our heroes. Like
cast is like
it for us. Yeah.
Like we love the old dudes.
And I know, I know we're...
You can't find a person to say anything bad
about out there and they happen
to be good dudes too.
Yeah. And, and
and that's the cool part in hearing about
you know, um,
the guys and that sort of thing.
The way you put it, everybody's pretty down to earth.
My favorite part of the whole song is
Dre's fourth verse.
I'm leaning back, my elbows out the window.
Coke rum and endo fills my body.
Where's the party?
That's my favorite fucking part of the song.
And listen, we're spending more time on this song
because it's pretty, it's iconic.
It's the first single.
For those of you who didn't listen the other day,
It was funny that Rico said you tried to play Players Ball for New York Radio when they wouldn't play it, but the reprise, they played it immediately.
And they played it in high volume.
And it was also the first single.
It was supposed to be on a Christmas album, which he didn't really answer this, but I was intrigued by the fact that they were able to release this on the LaFace Christmas album, which was in November.
I went back and looked it up when exactly.
It was late November the album came out.
but Southern Playlistic didn't come out
until the spring of 94
so
so like they kept the buzz going
all that time
and that had to be
but it wasn't
it got it got
it's biggest after like
like you said when they
when they debuted the song
in the video it was the reprise
which is called the remix
on the album the reprises
is sleepy singing
the remake, the official, how the song is the title,
it's the players' ball remit.
Right, right.
And that was what really took them,
the last of them off,
because the players ball, like the Christmas album,
it's different.
Like, things are different now.
Back then, you had to have that album to know about that.
Okay, so we both have Players Ball.
No surprises there.
and no offense to your favorite phobia.
But you said it yourself, you understand the importance of players' ball.
So we had 13th floor as the 8th seed playing against Return of the G as the 9th.
I got to say, this is a tough draw for these two songs.
It is.
First round.
Golly, what did you have?
I picked 13th floor, man.
Yep, 13th floor.
me too all right so i got yeah i had 13th floor like listen return of the g for me if it's not for
andre's verse i'm not that into it Andre's verse is terrific the whole get-down sequence uh and that was
basically them saying like we're still the fucking guys from southern playlistsic like shut up you know
that sort of thing and i love that i love that energy every now and again it comes out especially
and Dre. But yeah, 13
floor for me, I can remember being like 23
listening to this song and, you know,
thinking about getting old. It was just
like this song just hit a little different, man. And I love, I love
the production, too. It's one of my favorite hooks
for any song of any genre. That's a hell of a hook.
And the
yeah the outro
you know that whole
thing so
the only question I have
about this one is you know at the end of
Big Boys
verse I can't remember which one he's like
he's like then we fly back
to our nest
and then he says like some eagles
it should have been Falcons
he
he
he also
bulldog and hose like to George down
Georgetown Harriers.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah, I mean...
Just why, just, you know, those guys are a little eclectic.
They got rain.
It's like when they said, it's like when they said silver back orangutangutangs on B-O-B.
There's no such thing.
Yeah.
Yes, but you, I don't care.
I can see it.
I can see the silver-back orangutags.
Like, I don't, I know they don't exist, but so I got, I have 13th floor here.
You've got 13th floor.
So next matchup is going to be five chunky fire facing off against 12 slump, which is another tough one, man.
That was, that was brutal.
I love slump.
I love slump.
But the chunky fire, man, is, ah.
What did you do?
What did you pick?
I took Chunky Fire, man.
Chunky Fire is one of the songs that, like,
when I first started listening to Outcast,
I wasn't that into it.
But, and I love Slump.
And, um,
the,
the backbone verse is actually very good on Slum.
Yes.
That's,
that's,
that's one of the hard ones out there.
It's a very good,
it's,
I wasn't as crazy about Cool Breeze's verse.
Cool Breeze's verse.
He's the man,
but,
but,
but,
but,
I liked on there was Backbones verse.
The hook is great.
It's like a motion picture song, bro.
It's just, it's like an anthem type.
We on a mission.
Yeah.
And but Chunky Fire, for me, it's like it passes the test.
If I'm not sure, I'm just going to play both songs loud.
And when Chunky Fire comes on, my fucking next step.
Mm-hmm.
Guitars, man.
Real hard.
That's a rock and roll right there.
It is.
I really like it.
And anything George Clinton is awesome.
And my favorite kind of Andre is abstract Andre.
You know, when he's talking about like something abstract, I'm really into it.
So that first verse, he's just painting this fantastical picture.
And of course, any song that you're using indubitably in the hook.
And doobitably hyper pie.
Yeah, dude.
So I got Chunky Fire and Big Boy had some good lines in there too.
Can't stop to strive.
Yeah.
Hey, listen, exhum the body if you ain't scared.
That's the big boy line I like.
And no disrespect to slump or return of the G.
But that's a tough draw for those two.
So I got Chunky Fire.
You got Chonky Fire as well.
And here's one that I think moving down the list.
The South DeKalbizmall, which is not as tough as the Greenbrier Mall.
It's not as tough.
Well, I don't know, man.
Hey, all these malls are pretty good.
They're tougher than Fashion Square Mall in Charlottesville.
I'll put it that way.
So we've got a 4.13.
matchup here, Benzer Beamer, and we love these hoes. I thought for me, I'm not as crazy about
Benzer Beamer as you are, or a lot of people that I feel like, you know, Rico, when we talk to
Rico, this was a special one to him. Why do you like Benzer Beamer so much? You had that
moving forward. Yeah, Benzer Beamer for me, like back in the day, movie soundtracks were a big deal.
they were just as big as big a deal as albums were and so for those country boys from
Atlanta to get a placement on that album for New Jersey Drive which which that that soundtrack was
heavily East Coast influence east coast based movie based in New Jersey it's about that
culture up there and for them to get a placement on that album is in between the first and second
album to keep the momentum going
that was big
plus the song jam.
Listen,
I like the song, a lot of verses.
Most of it's just about stealing cars.
So you've got a
car stealing song
against a
nice car song.
Like it's about bends's and beemers and then
you've got a song about hose
at 13.
So, okay.
To me, and by the way,
that song for me, as a
young high school kid
was like, those lyrics
were like, wow.
And
it's a high school.
I was in college.
I remember where I was living
when the album came up.
And when that album came out, I had to
be fucking awesome at Georgia.
Yes.
I was there at Georgia for
like two outcast
album. And that's where I first saw
them. And at
school, man, we used to have this
day called Day of
Soul. And
they would let us bring
like the, I think like the Black
Student Union or whatever, bring
artists and we go to this big
field and have concerts.
So like
have like Pastor Troy out there, a young T.I. Destiny's Child. And one year
outcast and outcast and backbone came. So it was cool. That had to be fucking awesome.
Oh, come on, man. Ridiculous. And I know Athens is pretty fucking fun.
Athens is the best. It is cool. So for me,
neither of these songs, spoiler alert, was going to make a run.
So the tie went to the more relatable song.
Not everybody can ride a Benzer or a Beamer, but pretty much anybody can get hose.
So I took the 13th scene.
You got a little juice.
You know what?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I'm just saying, for me, I know some true heads, some true fans.
And I include myself in that category like Benzer Beamer more.
than me. It just doesn't move me. And I know, I know Rico said that as well. So that's our first split
decision here. You had Benzer Beamer. I had hose pulling the upset. Inconsequential for me.
Let's move on to ghetto music, the sixth seed against the 11 seed wheels of steel.
That was a good one too. But ghetto music for me, just that 808 and just the uptempo of it.
Um, uh, was there a video for Gita News?
Yes, that's the one.
And that's the one with Patty LaBelle in there.
Patty LaBelle, yeah.
Paddy LaBelle in the video.
There was just a big, there's a big, the beat switch up.
The beat switch up was, was, this was one of these, like,
this is a fun song, man.
Yeah.
You know, um, and this was another toss up to me.
And in fact, I have wheels of steel written down.
But I'm, the way I'm feeling.
at this moment, I'm going to take ghetto
music as well.
It's like that sometimes, baby.
Yeah, dude. And I love
Wheels of Steel. I'm like a
if it was on any of those two
middle albums, I'm generally
picking it. You know,
Ghetto Music, Big Boy was in his bag
on that song right there.
Yep. Yep.
And then the beat changed. This one of the
coldest beats. The beat switch up.
You know, like the minute in or whatever
it is. Yeah. It changed.
on the hook.
Feeling good, feeling great.
Great, feeling good.
How are you?
Yeah.
Okay, so we've got three liberation against 14 deep.
Okay, I'm going to make this one clear right off the bat.
Liberation is one of my favorite outcast songs of all time.
If it were on the other side of the bracket,
I'm pretty sure it has a clear path to the final four.
I can do anything.
All the way to the final four, huh?
No, I take liberation.
Oh, liberation.
Yeah, liberation.
Yeah, deep for me.
Okay, so deep for me is probably my least favorite song on Southern Playlistic.
I know there's some lyrical value and all that stuff, but, you know, liberation, I can sink into my chair.
I can go drive.
I can smoke to it.
Yeah.
You know.
Liberation is that.
It's so versatile.
Let me tell you that.
Hey,
liberation is,
that song is for any mood,
any situation.
Trust me.
And it was real for Andre,
because you hear him talking about it.
He said,
I was reading,
he said that it was indicative
of like a time he felt free,
like in his career.
Like he was shedding,
you know,
feeling like,
like he had to do certain bullshit, like he was going to do his own thing.
And he was like just...
You can start expressing himself outwardly, you know, with his fashion and whatnot.
Like it's like more than just the turban from A to Elkins.
Yeah.
And then he had Erica.
Erica was on the hook.
Um, and yeah, deep for me, just not my favorite.
So do we both have liberation?
Yep.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right now.
Okay, good.
So this one here is 710.
Get Up, Get Out versus Flip-Flop Rock.
I think we, do we both have Flip-Flop rock or Get Up here?
Because I have Get Up, yeah.
Yeah, get up.
Yeah.
Okay.
This to me was a runaway.
Yeah.
But Flip-flop rock was cool.
Some people, I heard a lot of people talk.
about it on the timeline about about the bracket a lot of people love flip-flop rock
and of course you know just having Jay-Z on there is dope in our and killers on
there too and so you have that factor but get-up get out just is just that song
man is one of the the hook in itself is you can't beat the hook well you can't
beat the hook you can't be like Seelope C-L's verse
Um, you know, the, it's a longer verse.
It's a really well-placed verse.
I love the story telling the song.
And one of my favorite outcast lines, uh, a player isn't a gangster, but a player can handle
his shit.
It's, it's, it's, and the only thing I, you know, Dre saying he, he's not voting.
That wouldn't age as well in this day and age.
But, um, I love the song.
So many people feel that.
waiting out of. I know, I know, but it's not cool to, it's not okay to say that out loud anymore.
No, yeah, yeah, of course. You know, especially right now. But yeah, you know, and Big Gip made a solid
appearance. He was like, this is a cool song because like the messaging, even on an album that was
more kind of stereotypical lyrically, like this was a cool message. And then also Big Gip was
like rapping political stuff.
You know, he was rapping about
the mayor and the police chief
and the Olympics
coming in and fucking everything up.
And flip-flop rock, to me,
the Jay-Z verse, I wasn't that
into it, dude.
Yeah, but it was just, at the
time, it just meant a lot since
Jay-Z was on top of, he was on top
of the industry.
Yeah. And to have
him feature on a Southern record, again,
that was big at the time.
I didn't feel like if you, you know,
and maybe this is just how much Jay has changed,
but that verse, like, lyrically, I was just like,
uh, killer Mike fucking murdered it.
Yes.
Murdered it.
Okay.
Dude.
When he gets on an outcast feature,
he fucking murders it every time.
You know you have to.
well but he outwrapped everybody on there yeah
Mike is a hell of a rapper now I know he is
he's a freaking beast
the delivery is just
it's it's awesome um
you could have the whole world to be satisfied
with the you could have the whole world
you got all that in one crew
yeah I know it's insane
um
so yeah we both have seven seed get up get out
beating flip-flop rock
and then we've got a 2.15
okay and I've got a region's
best verse alert
we've got the best verse
you hear the air horns that means we got
the best verse here
best verse of the region
maybe Andre's best verse of all
time one of them
on a quim and I
I've got a
quim and I in a runaway here
Babylon's just not strong enough
and I got to say the seating
committee didn't do Babylon
any favors because it's not a bad song.
No, it's not.
Like, just understand
here. Like, we've said before,
we're talking about
64 good songs.
Yeah, it's stupid. It's so stupid.
It's not like, these are 64
songs, and
you would not be running back to your radio
to skip one.
No, dude.
You don't let all this shit run.
No.
So, but yeah, you know, I love Babylon.
I love Babylon.
That's like some coming of age stuff for them.
And I like that, like, just the, their mind as far as production is just crazy.
Do you know what they sampled?
And some of the samples, like, it's ridiculous.
They sampled, what they had sampled, you know, that Channing in the background on Babylon?
on, it's like a fucking...
It's a Celtic
opera
music from like
1975 that
yeah.
You know, like...
Go look it up.
It's this like
opera music from
Ireland or some shit.
It's awesome.
It's nice.
But Equam and I is too strong.
It's a fucking...
It's a legendary song.
And, you know,
my mind warps in my bed, bro. I'm a Gemini. I'm a Gemini, so it always, I always thought it was cool.
See, what, okay, so what does that, see, this horoscope stuff, you believe in the horoscope stuff?
I don't, but I play alone. That's just like a Gemini from what I hear.
It reminds me. I play alone, man. You know what I am? I don't know. I just, oh, I'm a Gemini
too. Yeah, I just, you know, it's
one of those things.
Gee, do you know what?
My people be like, oh, that's you, you're such a
terrorist. I don't know.
I don't know what that means.
They can, they can,
they can mold the description
to fit any sign and everybody.
The only thing is, though, I am
in Ares and they say that Ares are stubborn
and I'm pretty stubborn.
Yeah, I know so.
Well, so
when you're looking at Equamini, I mean,
the hypnosis thing, okay, count to 10, right?
I listened to my favorite Dre verse for years
and never realized that when he was saying count to 10,
he wasn't just saying talking about hypnosis,
it was also playing on the fact that the verse is 10 bars.
Now, see, you're thinking deep.
Dude.
You do, my brother.
I've just, no, I mean, it's, it's, um, sin all depends on what you're believing in.
Faith is what you make it.
Just the hardest distance, since you're head.
It really sounds like they recorded this song on a spaceship.
Or the spaceship.
Just on a spaceship, bro.
So we, okay.
So the first, the, the, the first region, South,
DeKalb, as they say.
This is a heavyweight fight right here.
Yeah, we both got players ball.
We both had 13th floor.
We both had Chonky.
You had Benzer Beamer.
I had, we love these hoes.
We both had ghetto music.
We both had liberation.
We both had get up and we both had Equimini.
Seven of eight matches here.
Great minds here, buddy.
Okay.
Let's move on to the Greenbeyer Mall.
district and we talked about the greenbrier mall okay greenbrier mall is where you get
fucci now there's no fucci songs in the green briar mall region though no it's the fucking
strong strong region okay might be stronger than the south de cab region i'm not sure okay so bob
gets the win here yeah in the one 16 match up against uh yeah against last call love last call
I do love Last Call
and be holding the wall.
Dude, last call
might be one of the best party songs
that they did.
Hey, if you had
Little John on your song back then,
come on, man. Dude, early 2000s.
Little John,
you'll turn it all the way up.
You know,
B.O.B, we've
talked at length about this.
I have
made a point
to say, and it's not
hill I'm going to die on, but I'm going to stick to my, my statement was that it's not one of my
favorite Outcast songs, okay?
Whether it's top 10, top 15, I don't know, but it's just not one of my favorite.
I still like the song a lot.
It's one of your favorites, period, I think, right?
Yeah, man.
And that grew over time, too.
like, well,
can't lie. We love that
from jump.
But just even, like, as you
begin to listen and break down
what Andre is saying and
big boys saying, like, they were
some, they were some rapping fools, man.
That was, we just can believe it was
rapping over that tempo of a beat.
Like, we didn't expect that came out of, like,
left field. But the thing is,
that tempo on there.
beat is what we grew up on.
If you ever listen to
Andre say we grew up on booty shape.
We did not know no better things.
Yeah, because that's what we grew up on.
We grew up on Luke, two live crew,
poison clan, stuff like that.
That Miami-based stuff, infiltrated Atlanta,
and then Shadee used to do the same
the same type of uptempo beats,
and that's what we grew up on.
Right.
So they kind of took it back to those days
with the tempo of B-O-B.
And Rico mentioned the drums.
I mean, it is, it's one of those songs that, for me,
maybe the fact that it was a single
and it got played a lot,
mired it a little bit,
but it's still great.
I get it. I mean, the tempo, as you said, the production, the beat, you know, coming out of the gate, although again, there's no such thing as a silver back orangutan, but you could imagine if there was.
Listen, there aren't a lot of applications for this song for me, and I'm somebody who likes to chill and listen to music, so that might be part of it.
It still gets the win. Don't get me wrong.
Oh, so you made it.
No, it gets the win.
It's a layup line song for me.
And I mean that, like, in high school, that used to always get played during layup line pregame.
So that just reminds you a high school basketball.
BOB gets the win.
Now, we have the eight, nine here.
This is going to be one of the biggest tragedies of the tournament, no matter how it comes out here.
We've got Storyteller One at the eight seat.
And a lot of people would say that's underseated.
Storyteller 2 at the 9 seed.
Who'd you have?
I picked Part 2, man.
Yes.
Let's go.
Part 2.
You gotta love it, man.
I'm with you.
I'm with you.
Shout out to Mr. DJ who did beats for both one and two.
And just those, those just,
they were kind of, kind of like part two is kind of,
kind of eerie, but it's just hard as hell, man.
The beat is just hard.
Bro, it's, I don't know what it is about that song,
but it's easily one of my top five favorite Alcast songs.
I wish it was five minutes long.
There are certain songs that when you,
they're so good when you hear them, you see colors.
You, you know, you can feel.
the rain drops.
You can see the sky.
He's describing this fucking again.
Andre's abstract Andre
is my favorite Andre.
And this is abstract Andre at his best.
I mean, this is apocalyptic shit, bro.
And the thing is they're going to go back to the,
they're going to go back to the dungeon and record.
The world's ending.
That's where they're going.
One last time.
It's just,
I love everything about it.
And one is,
No doubt about it.
Terrific.
Eight, nine.
I've got Storyteller Part 2,
and that could make a deep run.
It's got to be B.O.B., so we'll see what happens.
Now we've got a 5-12, two dope boys against ET.
What do you got?
We got two dope boys.
Two-dobo.
Two-d-boards, that's another hard beat right there.
Like they just, those are beats, those beats on just like AT aliens, they was just, they just punched the speakers.
Like they, they, they was coming out, just hit, man, and two door boards in one of those type of tracks.
Dude, the beat is terrific.
It starts fast.
It's over fast.
It's basically what, two quick, two quick verses in like, like, no,
time. I guess for me
it edges
out E.T, but not by a lot.
I think... Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, I'm not...
Maybe I'm not as big a fan
as everybody else of two dope boys,
but... I like the verses on E.T.
I like the versus. So, this is the...
I like the versus on E.T.
more than I like the verses on two dope boys.
It's understandable.
So, yeah.
I just think the hard-hittingness of the beat for two-d-boys does it for me.
Yeah, the beat's awesome.
I got two-d-old boys as well, but it's not by a lot.
Let's go to Miss Jackson, West Savannah.
Miss Jackson's the four-seat, 13's West Savannah.
When you think of Miss Jackson, do you think about it as, like, a pop song?
Because I don't think about it like that, even though it's a really popular
single and like people have put it in this category where they they were doing like pop music
you know it's drawn from real life experience for those guys so yeah and i think i think it uh
i think the melody put it in the pop realm and the and the and the pop the popularity of it
in general you know it got that that was a huge song uh the video was huge huge
And so I can understand why someone would say it's pop music.
I understand why.
Who you got?
I got West Savannah, though.
Yeah, I got West Savannah.
The big boy, just wanted to let everybody know that, hey, I spend a good chunk of the time in Savannah too.
I was born and raised, born and half, half raised in Savannah.
Yep.
You know what I mean?
And so it's kind of just talking about that.
It took us on another ride.
Like we'd heard about Atlanta all this time.
And a lot of people probably never been to Savannah.
That's a good, that's a good long ride, you know, from Savannah to Megan or Atlanta, you know, so many people ain't made that ride.
He just gave us a little taste of Savannah.
Well, I'll say this first.
It's definitely worth the ride.
Savannah is a terrific city.
I've had a good time in Savannah.
And they got a great St. Patty's Day, too.
They got a...
My favorite piano bar in the world is Savannah smiles.
And they got good seafood.
It's like a smaller, less populous New Orleans.
So, like, as far as you got the little walk down there by the water,
old buildings, history, all that.
I really like Savannah.
And to be honest, when I was in college,
West Savannah was my favorite song in the album.
I used to really just like to relax and drink
and listen to West Savannah.
It was like a good like pre-game and music
or when you get home from the bar,
never at the bar, but when you get home from the bar
or before you leave for the bar.
But I wanted to be,
I know people might accuse me of being like a,
cool kid, pick the
less popular song. So I
picked Miss Jackson here because
I can't deny that it was an important
song. And there's the whole
backstory with
with
you know, Erica and stuff.
There was like drawn from real life
experience. So for me, I was like,
you know, I'm not going to deny it just because it was
popular. It was a big song.
It's a good song too.
It is. It is a good song. At least
at least they're doing verses on that song.
It's a relatable song for a lot of people.
Yes, yes, from any walk of life.
But, you know, like,
I think a lot of people put it in the category of, like,
hey, yeah, or what else is in here that people, we're dogging.
What's another one?
Oh, roses.
I think it's not those two songs.
There's actually, there are bars in this song.
So I'll go, Miss Jackson.
You got West Savannah.
Now we went skew it, Hey-A-S-E-E-A-6-11.
And I don't hate Hay-O.
Like, I still like it.
I don't hate nothing they do.
No.
For me, I'm a, I'm a rap head.
Yeah.
I'm a rap-ha. I'm a rap-head.
Hey-ah, all I can say about Hay-A is Andre pulled it off.
like we didn't know what we didn't know what that was but next day you know we all bob we're
bribing then we're getting into the beat then we get into what he's saying and then it's like
damn we like hey y'all right we genuinely we genuinely like heya but when you pit it against a
song that's with with rapping you know I'm going to pick the rap song it's so funny the way
you just said that if we didn't know what was going.
Well, I mean, like, listen, we knew what was going on,
and we were all ears at my high school.
When Hayah came out, dude, it was made for the white delegation.
It was, you know what, and quite honestly,
I said this in the interview with Rico.
Like, the reason I think so many people,
suburban folks enjoy the song,
Hey, ah, is they play that motherfucker
when the bar is about to close and you are
having the time of your life.
This song is played
at like 140 a.m.
Perpetually.
And at every frat party and all, like, so
listen, it's a fun song.
Am I in a mood sometimes where if you gave me skewed
and hey out, would I rather listen to Hayah sometimes?
Sure, like in a certain functionality.
But skew, it's the better song.
And it's more important
because of the New York thing
that Rico was talking about.
And I know it was tough for big fans because in the in the bracket,
and that's what I need to do is look at the way the fans voted the bracket too,
because the fans voted, hey, yeah.
Oh, most definitely did.
I knew I wasn't picking that.
Nope.
So we both have skew it.
Number three, ATLN's 14 Millennium.
What do you got here?
I believe we both picked the same thing.
Millennian.
No, I took ATLians.
Really?
Yeah, dude.
Why?
Why?
Because, and this is one of those things like,
I used to think ATLians was overrated
relative to how great people think it is.
Oh, it's great.
It's great.
Don't get it twisted.
Dude.
The sequence where Big Boy goes,
it comes right out of his verse,
and Dre's like softly as if I play piano in the dark.
That's a great moment in Outcast history.
Millennium, it's awesome.
Why is it better for you?
It's just they, the boys was just,
who was riding the beat, man?
And the beat is just so, it's so, it's,
it's funky.
You know it's funky, Chris.
Yeah, dude, it's totally, it's totally,
it's,
No, none of these are easy.
I mean, this one especially, you did the same thing to Millennium
that you did to mainstream and Babylon.
Those three songs, they just got tossed in the fucking garbage
with the 15 and 16 seeds.
It was tough sledding, man.
I had to take AT aliens.
Okay.
This one's a little bit more mixed up, you and me.
Okay, so crumblin herb, funky ride.
I've got crumbling herb.
Funky Rides and all.
awesome song.
Yeah.
It's,
again, it's not, you know,
it's,
there's actually no outcast on that song.
So,
no.
Um,
it's,
it's,
like it,
like the,
like the title says,
it's a funky ride.
Like,
you just cruise to it,
you know,
crumbed at herb.
That's,
it's one of my favorites.
There's another one.
There's another one.
That's another one that if we were on the other side of the
bracket,
I think,
without revealing what could go
the final four and what couldn't crumbling herb might be one of the best songs you can put it on
the other side of the bracket yeah yeah so and this is one of big boys best blows to me
he really really shine on that so um yeah i got crumbling herb number two um southern playlists
versus 15 mainstream.
That was a tough one.
Tough one.
Very tough.
I had to go with Southern.
But, man, I can't blame anybody to pick a mainstream.
No, I can't.
It's a deeper cut.
It's a lower seed.
But Andre's verse, it's elite.
It's up there.
It's an eight and a half, nine out of ten.
I like a, I like Kujo's verse on mainstream.
Yep.
Yep.
Okay, so you had, we both had B-O-B.
We both had storytelling, too.
We both had two dope boys.
You had West Savannah.
I had Miss Jackson.
That's a split.
Skew it, we both had ATL-Ens and Millennium split.
Herb.
We both had herb.
And then we both had Southern Playlists.
So half the round of 64 is knocked out here.
Let's slide over to the Lennox Mall region.
Spodian War, one in 16.
Cruiser.
It's a cruiser.
It's not close, is it?
No, Spody is a cruiser.
I know, I know.
You know what I'm saying?
You'll see later on, but yeah, it's a cruiser for this round.
Yes, it is.
it's running away with this one.
And listen, this was kind of, if you're into Black Sabbath,
you know, that's the old Ozzy Osbourne band.
This is kind of, if you know the song Warpigs,
that's kind of the outcast version of that song.
It's conscious.
It's a cool song.
It's sporadic.
But it's not Spody.
And Spody is the classic, like,
lights off in a dark room at a party song and everybody's sweating sweating sweaty
doobies and froze it's also a driving song it's a great driving song it's also a smoking song
and um and the funniest thing about it is that you know uh the line where you're so engulfed in
No, he never made the door.
Do you have a favorite 40?
Do I have a favorite 40?
No, I'm not a big beer guy.
But I do love 40s, bro.
One time, let me tell you what we did, though,
playing, like, the last preseason game.
And, like, Shannon, he didn't play the starters for the last game.
And so never so.
But he still took the trip and all that good stuff.
And we didn't, he let us have like a super late curfew.
Yeah.
And so like, we like limos and shit like them.
Me and me and DJ Williams went and got 40s.
Right.
What time did you get?
O.E, baby.
Dude.
Okay.
So how many did you have you think?
Some Mickey's or something.
How many do you have, you think?
What do you mean?
How many?
One.
Give all of that.
Bro, you know what?
If this were not a pandemic, if this were not a pandemic, my ass would be going to get a case of 40s right now.
And tomorrow, that's what I would be doing to throw it back to 2000.
Golly, 2004 to 2008 for me was there were a lot of 40s consumed in that four-year span in Charlottesville, Virginia.
We had a porch, and by the end of the year, we filled it so there was no space.
It was just empty 40s.
Yeah, just 40s out there.
there. Hurricane was
my favorite.
Now, as I got older,
I lost the taste for that, and there's
OE. OE's the smoothest
to me now.
Now, if you really hate yourself
or you want to just end up in a
puddle somewhere
face down, you
drink 2-11, which is
Steel Reserve.
No.
Yeah.
Steel Reserve is
bad news bears.
It's just real.
I know what juice.
Yes, it's, it's like I got to get drunk, like, fast.
I don't want to feel anything, and I need it to happen fast.
I need the 2-11.
And, like, listen, Edward 40 hands, do you ever heard of that game?
Yeah, what, taping 40s?
Yeah, so.
They tape them, and you get white people.
You know that.
be like, how do we drink 40s over here?
We just kind of hang out and drink the 40s.
And then the white guys had to make up some extreme thing to pair with consumption of 40 ounces.
Exactly.
It's a fun game.
And I do wish I had some on hand.
I would probably crack one.
Gee, I actually, this is no bullshit.
I hold the record for chugging 40 times.
We used to bong 40s.
You know, like, like, you.
You know how you beer bong?
We used to do like two-story bongs, pour a whole OE in there.
And about 30 feet down there'd be somebody waiting.
You know, I saw that before.
We went over to the, what Georgia played in Missouri when we was up in St. Louis
and we drove over there.
You know, like, we've seen these, this freaking tube hanging from the top of the freaking, like, what are these kids doing?
They are out there.
Stungey, buddy.
Gravity, bud.
Let me tell you something.
Why is an adventure?
It is quite the adventure.
But here's the deal.
Like, taking 40 ounces of foamy liquid.
No, there's not.
To the stomach at one time is, like, one of the most uncomfortable.
Like, you feel like, if you can get through the first 10 seconds, it's not going to, it's not coming back out, you know.
But you got to get through the first 10 seconds.
It's horrible.
Yeah, it's bad.
So Spody, 40-ounceers.
You know, but that reminded me when he, the point I was trying to make is when he said,
basically the story is that he's writing about a party he never made it into.
Yeah.
And that reminded me of a couple times in college where I didn't make it out at all
and just woke up with some really nice clothes on, a nice outfit and my shoes on the couch
where I was pre-gaming.
empty bottle of Hennessy or an empty bottle of whatever.
Yes.
Question.
So 8.9.
We've got Ain't No Thing versus Humble Mumble.
Yeah.
What do you got?
Ain't no thing for me, buddy.
You know what?
I never thought I liked this song so much,
but going back and having to pit the close matchups against each other,
I really like Humble Mumble.
and Ain't No Thing was just kind of a gun violence song.
Did I miss something?
This ain't no thing but a chicken wing, baby.
I'm going to smoke out in the dungeon with the Mary Jane.
He's just the pimps, the players.
Easy point.
I mean, it's a great hook.
It's the joy.
It's a great hook.
Humble, though, for me, again, you talked about ghetto music, the switch up.
This beat switch up is great, too.
Erica went in.
Yes, it's an extremely conscious track.
Erica, you know, it's just a really, really underrated song.
And for me, it gets the win.
So you've got Ain't No Thing.
Yep.
And I've got Humble Mumble.
Five, we've got Hootie Who against 12, wailing.
Mm-hmm.
Hootie Who for me.
That's one of my favorite Outcast songs, so that's period.
It's a goat.
I've got Hootie Who as well.
Yes.
And Whalen's good, man.
You know, like...
It's good.
It's a really good song.
Baseline crazy.
Strong finish.
And Dre's got, again,
And, Dre, with another elite verse, with the Dukes of Hazard metaphors, you know, the boss hogs and the Roscoe Pekle people.
You know that, yep.
Now this one's, so we both have Hootie Who, now we've got four and 13.
Rosa Parks, 13 over the woods.
Rosa for me.
Just a big song.
It was an iconic song.
lot winning, a song did well for the fans, and they even got into it with Miss Parks.
I know, that's the crazy thing.
It was just a big song for the period, and it's jamming.
It is jamming, and this would be a song that kind of flirts with that poppy kind of thing that
because it's so popular, the misconception to me is that it's actually.
a fucking just
masterful song. I mean,
the fact that it's popular does not disqualify
it from being awesome.
Sounds like nothing from the time
from its time period.
You know what?
And it was the biggest single
in the album. The Rosa Parks
lawsuit thing is crazy, right?
I mean, and it got settled
out of court the year
she passed away.
You know,
it's just
it felt like it was a career
it was summing up
they had so much foresight
like they knew they were talking about the end
and the end wasn't even there
they were always ready for like the end
and that's like they were like old souls
bro and this was kind of one of those songs
lyrically that they were thinking ahead
and yeah I've got Rosa as well
do like over the woods though
I do as well
the beat how to beat
just flows.
We've got an isotoneers mention.
And the
record company talk is kind of cool
in that song
hearing
that whole thing. Now
the 6-11
Mighty O
6 is
okay so 6 is Mighty O right
and it's playing
11
Knowing. What do you got?
Knowing.
Yeah, knowing. I like Mighty O.
Of course, like all these songs, but
there's knowing for me.
Yep. I had knowing as well.
You know, knowing
it's a tough call.
The lyrics on Mighty O are actually pretty damn good.
And because I was kind of not into Ida Wild,
I really went back and looked at it today.
It's not like I don't know the song.
I know the song, but it's not something I listen to regularly.
And Dre had some really good bars, man.
Really good bars.
Knowing, though, the beat, the production,
I'll give it to knowing the 11 seed over the 6 seed.
Give me 314 the way you move.
uh versus war again we snuck war in place yeah but it was it wasn't gonna go that far the way you moved
um he's gonna beat it you know the way it was a huge record and again jamming it's gonna make you
dance it is it has like everything you want in a song you know the hood of it the radio gonna love it
the club it's just one of those records yeah give me uh give me uh give me
me the way you move as well.
Yeah, so we have a 7-10 here.
We've got, what is it, y'all scared?
This was a tough one for me.
Again, synthesizer.
This might be the toughest one of the first round.
Yep.
Yep, I think it is.
I think it is the toughest.
Because, man, those are just some real hard records, man.
Dude.
I went with y'all.
scared, man.
As did I, okay?
Now, synthesizer, you know, another similar quality song on the other side of Brack, huh?
Y'all scared is just that, like, Andre on this song right there?
Paragraph and Dent.
I make intense sense.
Bro, that's, we talk about great Dre versus.
This has got to be in the top three, four, five.
Yeah, it's crazy.
So, I mean, listen, synthesizer to me is as ahead of its time as any song in their catalog, because where are we going?
And it talked about all of it.
It's exactly where we're going.
But dude, just listen about, like, he's like, give me a drug so I can make seven babies.
Like, before the Optumav did that.
Yes, dude.
Years, years, years.
Years before she took a drug to make those eight babies.
Like, Hunter was on some, he was crazy.
Like, dude, like, for real.
On some shit.
Yeah, I've got y'all scared off that verse.
But synthesizer, to me, if it was playing a lot of others, could make a deep run.
I've got y'all scared as well.
And some people aren't probably as crazy about,
all scared. It's definitely a team effort.
You know, there's a lot of
different folks on there. So
Whole World
2 versus Bust, 15.
By the way,
Bust, the Killer Mike verse is
fucking awesome.
And he was
you know
probably my favorite part about that song
and it's not enough. Whole World.
It's a single.
I like it better than so fresh, so clean.
Honestly, I put those two in the same category.
I've got this one winning.
Yep.
And then Mike with another heat drop.
Mm-hmm.
You know what I mean?
I believe you got a Grammy for that one too, wouldn't it?
Everything he touches kind of turns the gold that they do.
So South Lake, oh, to review this one here, we both had Spody over war.
We split on Humble Mumble.
and ain't no thing.
Hootie-hoo and Waylon, we both took Hootie-Hoo, Rosa Parks, both of us over over the woods.
We both took knowing over Mighty O.
We both had the way you move over war.
Sorry, war as many times as you might be in this corner of the bracket.
You can't win.
We both had y'all scared over synthesizer.
And we both had the whole world.
So we only really split, I believe, one.
Yeah.
So that is three quarters of it.
South Lake Mall, elevators, rooster, one, 16.
What do you got?
Elevators, too strong.
Very, very strong.
But another underrated 16 in Rooster and another good party song.
Yeah, roosters is a jam, man.
Rooster's the Jam. Big boy doing this thing on there.
Yeah, for sure.
Elevators gets to win.
One of their earliest productions,
like, you know, the whole,
the little beeper sound background,
I think that's what that is.
I have no idea.
It's as simplistic a beat as it gets,
but it gets the point across.
Echoy, man. It's just echoy.
Yeah, it's a classic.
and I don't like it maybe as much as some people do,
but I could definitely tell in doing this bracket,
seeing how people feel about elevators.
There were some people mad.
His elevators lost to,
I think it was so fresh, so clean,
and that's trying the whole thing upside down.
Give me eight, nine, unhappy against Can't Wait.
Okay, I went unhappy.
Unhappy is one of my favorite outcast songs.
Really?
So it used to be up there for me.
What do you like about it?
I just like the, I like the beat.
I like the melody about it.
And I like the, I like the hook, you know, when your goose is cooked, maybe.
Have some fun, dude.
Hey.
Yeah, no, it used to be one of my favorites.
I kind of, I got pressured here.
I'll take, I'll take unhappy.
over can't wait this was to me
not a matchup that I'm passionate
about at this juncture but I'll take
unhappy
now we've got roses
in a 512
against call before I come
and
where did you go here
so I went roses
like I didn't even
this is the this is the party song
that I wasn't
passionate enough about I'll call before I come
if it was almost any other song
it's beating roses
I just said fuck it
I put roses
through the second round
I did I call
before I come
okay
but just
just real funky man
then you got boo on there
represent
yeah I was gonna say
the gangster boo
which was
was cool
the only thing is
she definitely dated
the whole verse
by saying
she's riding prowlers
people are not riding prowlers
now
you know you can't
So you had, I called before I come, and I had roses.
Four, you've got Jazzy Bell against 13 red velvet.
And this is the strongest matchup of this region, maybe next to the 215, which we'll get to in a second.
Yeah, this one was a, this time.
I went with Jazie Bell, though.
Yeah, out of respect for a classic, I went Jazzy Bell.
Bell, you know, and I don't want to,
Jazzy Bell, it's kind of
a, it's
kind of a little bit more melancholy.
So I'm not going to listen to Jazzy Bell
in every situation. And Red Velvet,
it's cool. It's, it's a little bit more upbeat.
It's all about, like, kind of keeping your
your earnings to yourself, which I like.
Bill Gates doesn't dangle diamonds in your face,
you know?
But Jazzy Bell
Yeah
It's almost like you forget it's a single
Because it doesn't feel like a single
Yeah
It was a popular song though
I didn't live it like you know
I was younger when
When this stuff was out
So
Yeah so we both have Jazzy Bell going through
Six black ice
Which is it's a goody model
song but you know we we we slid this in there because we we felt like we's a big
song and it featured both of them and we let the people we let that we let the
people vote on that one and they say yeah yes yes
black guys against the train 11 which is a song that I'll admit I didn't
doesn't do anything for me yeah it's you know this I like I like the melody
in it. It's a sing-song song.
It's sing-y song song.
And I like a little bridge at the end.
But Black Ice is just hard.
Mm-hmm.
I mean, everybody, when they, when you hear that,
like, it's just automatic.
You're in your mode.
Mm-hmm. Yep. I'm with you.
Six. Going through the next round.
Three, so fresh and so clean.
14, Tomb of the Boom.
So fresh.
Yeah, so fresh for me.
If it was playing Red Velvet or even Rooster,
I'd say see you later.
But Tomb of the Boom,
six verses, that's a lot of verses.
I went and counted them today.
It just was kind of sporadic.
You know, there's some good moments in the song.
But yeah, so fresh and so clean.
7-10 this is the Hollywood divorce
Funkin' Around match-up
Again, not one that I'm
Not two songs that I'm passionate about either way
Really? I like I think
I picked Hollywood divorce
I think it was a big moment
Big moment for them
You got like the new
The new
The new star
And little Wayne making it
An old old yeah
Yeah, it was big
because those two guys
two sets of artists
that were very big for the time
it's almost like passing the torch.
So it was he, I picked that one.
You know what keeps coming up?
You know what keeps coming up
is these features
by like absolute legends,
whether it's Jay or Snoop or Wayne
or even Raycorn
like nobody outwrapped
doubtcast so like
yeah
you know like
I don't know if that's why I'm looking at these
these features I'm kind of like I'd almost rather
just hear but to you being from
Georgia growing up at that time
like feeling in real time the significance of
having these dudes or on these
albums like
it's a plus for you and to me
I'm like fuck these features dude
I just want to hear another verse
um
yeah it's
I got Hollywood divorce as well.
And then we've got a 215 international players anthem
claiming true.
I went to international.
This song just, this song has gotten old.
It's one of those songs that people still play
and sing word for word.
It's just a big, huge record.
And I, you know, I even like the original record
on the Project Pat album,
choose you.
Same as that beat.
And they just ate off both of them.
Project Pat, bro.
Definitely a fucking legend.
I used to listen to a lot of Project Pat, actually.
I was a big 36 guy in general.
Yeah.
I really was.
I was actually, when I was younger,
I was more into 36 as like a young teenager
than I was outcast.
it wasn't until like
4. It was like my brain wasn't ready
for Outcast.
Like like
this I see
36. It's like
it's like
it's like the young
rock kids
is like they
heavy metal. It's like heavy metal
but rap.
That's the same type of energy. That rebellious
Yes.
Dude. We start energy
fight.
Yes.
Just angst.
It's just, that's what it was for the, for the young kids.
Yeah.
Young kids.
You know, when, it's like the same as that, it's the same as the rock music that they might listen to.
Yeah, it's like, it's like Metallica or like Black Sabbath in the 60s for somebody.
It was, three-sixth to me was, and I still like three-sixth to me.
you know, but
I can't believe I was bobbing my head to
Crunchy Black, you know, his
diversest at 13 years old, man.
I mean, come on.
And what is Crunchy Black talking about half the time?
So,
it's, I've come a long way with my taste.
Yeah, I have international players' anthem.
And the funny thing about this is, like,
Pimsy winning this track,
This was a good little, like, I mean, Pimp is a legend in his own right, but he was hopping on, like, this song.
He got on Big Pimpin and won that to me.
Like, he could really take your song to the next level.
Oh, yeah.
It's no question.
Superstar.
Al Shine some major players.
And, you know, Drey's little.
verse or intro or whatever it is
iconic and everybody knows what's about to happen
when that beats about to drop
Pimp stole the show which could
eventually catch up to international players
anthem to me at least because this is an
outcast bracket and this is one feature
if you were counting him this is an
outcast song and production that I would say
Pimp C stole the show and Jay didn't steal the show
on flip-flop rock Ray Kwan didn't steal the show
on skew it
And neither did Wayne or Snoop on Hollywood divorce.
So crazy to think about that.
The Pimsy is the guy out of this whole bracket with the feature.
So that wraps up the first round.
We'll go back to South DeKalb.
South the Cab.
The cab.
If I say it enough times,
I'm gonna fucking get it
and then like when I get in a
taxi cab in Atlanta
I don't fuck it up and sound like a total
like out of towner
I need to go to the DeKalb Mall
no
don't do that
nobody
they go rob me
that's why I'm not going to do it
motherfucker that's why I'm practicing
this shit
you get your shit together
man yeah but the problem is like
what if somebody was listening to this pod?
And then they're like, oh, that's the guy that said South to call.
Mark.
It's a walking lick.
He's a walking.
Walking me.
Have you not heard that one in a while?
You know about that?
Come on, man.
So we got players ball against the 13th floor growing older.
I mean, this was a tough one for me.
Players.
You got players.
Okay.
I got 13th floor.
Oh, you're not players out already.
Players is in, players is in, I mean, players is in murderers row here.
Who?
I just, I just want to say.
Listen, players in
I'm going to come out and say it here.
Ooh.
I'm going to say it.
Players don't do it for you?
No, I fucking love players, dude.
I love it.
But players is not going to the final four in this region.
I'll just say that.
And I know that.
When I look at the region, I know that.
So I'm like, let me get 13th floor a win in a toss-up.
13th floor can use this win more than players can use this one.
Okay.
Okay.
We'll accept it.
There's no loser outcast.
No, dude.
So I got 13th floor.
Now we've got Chonk.
I just want to run through in this South DeKalb Mall here, the round of 32.
Southw.
Huh?
South the cab.
Yeah, South the Cab.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The Calb?
The Calb?
Nobody's going to...
Did I get some of the Calb Mall?
I need to...
You got a J-Crew at the South DeKalb Mall?
Is there a vineyard vine store down there?
We have a Cobb County.
People going to think you're trying to go to Cobb.
Oh, that'll take me all the way in the wrong direction.
Yeah.
I don't need that.
So, so play, this is how tough this fucking region is here.
Players ball 13th floor.
Chonky fire, we love these hose.
Okay, we love these hose.
You killed those.
Yeah, you did.
But either way, those are second round matchups, so it's tough.
Wheels of Steel or Geto music and Liberation.
We both, I don't know, but Liberation is the second round of here.
Get Up, Get Out.
It's the second round of here.
Queminize the second round.
under here. This is a fucking bitch of a bracket to fill out. I mean, so we got we, you got
players ball. I got 13th floor. Let's go chunky fire. For me, it's chunky fire. We love these
hose. This is an easy one. I got chunky fire. And I got beans. Okay, so down below it,
ghetto music versus liberation.
Did I change my mind on that?
Yeah, I took ghetto music against liberation.
This is, it's not that close for me,
although I really respect ghetto music.
We've got liberation in a runaway.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, so we both have get up and Aquam and I
in the 7-2 matchup here down at the bottom.
of decad
criminalize
it's a heavyweight
heavyweight
heavyweight fighter buddy
it's a fucking preseason
you know
top five team
it's
I mean
you know have a nice life get up
I mean you're a fucking legend
in your own right but this is
this is heavyweight shit so
let's let's go ahead and
now since we're in South DeKalb
yeah let's not
Let's not leave this region for now.
So I've got a 13th floor growing older against Chonky Fire.
For me, 13th floor gets the win here.
You had what players ball against Chonky?
Or no, you had players ball against Benz or Beamer.
Yeah.
And what did you have there?
Bonds.
You mean, what are you talking about players ball?
Oh.
No, no, not.
Yeah, yeah.
plays ball versus uh
bands i pick players off of course
this a strong
this a strong song
means a lot
it's a great song dude i know i'm gonna catch some flak
for giving the thirteenth floor of the wind
but yeah you know
you gotta get clicks man you know
that's what we're doing here
um
so below there
I've got a liberation
against the quimmon
and this is a this is tougher than you think but it's it's it's it's a quemini for me
and equamini is going to move on to play 13th floor yeah equamon eye for me so equamonai
is facing in my bracket 13th floor with a chance to go to the funky four and in your
bracket it's facing players players ball and who gets the W
A Quimonite, baby.
Quimini going to the final four.
It's a...
The funky four unanimously.
Indubidably.
Indubidably,
Piper Pied.
Let's go with Quimani.
Quimini is a top four
outcast song.
Yeah, it deserves to be their...
Regardless of fracket,
like, it's a top four.
I can't see...
I'm not...
None of the songs
scare...
scare me like that where it can't make a top four no yeah yeah it's at least the top four yep no i agree with you
so we've got one final funky four uh team down that's the quim and i uh let's pop down to the greenbriar
mall uh if you dare the fucci city okay uh but again there's no fucci songs in this bracket
this is uh this is a motherfucker as well down here in the bottom left hand of you
your of your bracket. We've got B.O.B. against storytellers part two, the artist
storytelling part two. Oh, yeah, I got B.O.B. B.O.B. is strong. It's a strong song.
So, dude, this is going to, I mean, here I go again, you know, but this one I...
So you got the art of storytelling making a run, huh? I do. Art of Storytelling Part two is going to be
Bob for me. And again, people are going to think.
think I'm disrespecting B-O-B.
I'm certainly not.
What I just did to,
what I just did to players ball is way more disrespectful.
And in fact,
I regret not.
You know what?
Give me players ball.
I'm going back.
I'm going back.
Players ball is going to beat 13th floor,
just edging it out in triple overtime,
controversial call.
And then it's going to be chonky fire.
And then it's going to get fucking drug by a Klem and I,
just like,
what happened in your bracket.
Okay, for the record, let the record stand.
I'm not going to, I'm not going to shit on a one seed twice,
but I am going to do it in the Greenbrier Mall.
Storytelling Part 2 is a classic.
And it's in the same vein to me as B.O.B as far as being like a machine gun flow,
up-tempo, just like, it's a cup of coffee.
And I like storytelling, too.
It's one of my favorite songs.
So give me that one.
That's something else right there, buddy.
Baby, did you hear that?
Baby, I heard it too.
Yeah.
And it's kind of a mother earth is crying.
Yes, again.
Again, Andre.
Dude.
It's a fucking awesome song.
It's an awesome song.
Big Boys verse is classic as well.
Talking about a real NBA playoff series.
Yes.
Okay, so we've got...
We've got UFBOB.
I have Storytelling Part 2.
Down below it.
We've got two dope boys facing off against West Savannah
and or Miss Jackson.
Who do you have?
I have two dope boys.
It's two-d-boys for me too hard.
Yes.
Yes, so a Sweet 16 run for two dope boys, that's where it ends for me.
I have storytelling part two beating it to head to the elite eight.
And then below there, as I didn't finish up, you had Skewett and ATLians.
I've got ATLians here
Yeah
Well
I had Skewett versus Millennium
And Skewett wins
So
Wow so Millennium
Oh you have Millennium right
Okay so ATLians got beaten the first round by us
Yeah
Yeah I had Millennium beating ATLians
I forgot about that
So you've got Skewett moving on
We'll Skewett play Crumblin herb
will play Southern Playlistic.
Playing that herb.
It's too funky.
I got the herb beating out Southern Playlistic as well.
We both have the 7-2 upset.
So who moves on out of herb and skew it?
Skew it, baby.
So you have skew it playing B-O-B
with the chance to go to the Funky 4.
Who's making the trip?
To the Funky 4?
Come on, man.
It's B-O-B.
V-O-B is hard.
It's hard to beat, man.
There's some top-tier rapping, man.
You know, it certainly is.
The matchup that's hard for me right now
is storytelling, too, against A.T. Lians.
A.T.L.ians, it's a classic,
but personal to me, storytelling, too,
it's going to go to the Funky Four.
So far, in my Funky Four,
do what now?
You got a quiminary.
and the art of storytelling too
Uh-huh
The art of storytelling too made a
Nice run
You made a fucking run dude
Ooh whee
You got serious
Wichita State
Wichita State
It's no
It's fucking VCU
Or George Mason
Or one of these schools
Remember when George Mason made the run, dude?
Yeah
Florida Gulf Coast
One of these schools
remember Florida Gulf Coast?
Yeah.
I don't even know that was a school,
and all of a sudden they're in, like, the lead eight.
So it looked like they party a lot down there.
So I got a Quem and I and the Art of Storytelling Part 2
in my funky four on one.
And you have a Quem and I and B.O.B.
Okay.
Okay.
Do it.
Let's move on to Lennox Mall, shall we?
Yes.
Spody.
Spody is going to play Humble.
You go first.
Oh, I got Spody.
Come on.
I got Spody as well.
I got Spody as well.
Spody got to play Hooty for me.
So you've got Hooty.
and Rosa, and you've got hooty coming out of there in the 5-4 matchup.
Now, for me, Rose-
You'll see a pattern here, and this, this, this, this, this region will have my version of your art of storytelling.
I got another artist, I got another artist storytelling coming out of this motherfucker, dude.
I'm just, I'm just going to tell you.
Whoa.
Yeah, buddy.
So we've got so so far we both have Spody and I gotta be honest it's not beating
Humble Mumble by much it really isn't that could go either way
Spody's not there's not even really bars on Spody it's just talking it's it's super
fucking groovy dude but Humble's pretty groovy too I just die I want to say that I really
like the song but Spody comes out with the win I got um I got Rosa parks beating hooty who to who I don't
I know. I know you don't.
But I don't know if that's going to be
a contentious thing. I really
I do like...
I would say most
people would have Rosa Parks
beating Who to Who.
Yeah, I mean, it's definitely a single
Those people
became fans
after the first ever.
Yeah, like, so if you were
a fan in 1994,
you remember time and a place
with Hootie Who? And I remember when
when Rosa Parks came out.
So for me as a kid, when that comes out,
I'm not thinking, well, this is their single.
I'm just like, this is a fucking cool song.
Wow, do you hear that harmonica?
That's crazy.
You know, so I got Spody and Rosa playing,
and I'll go with the two totally different songs.
Fuck me, dude. I'll go Rosa.
Fuck it.
Oh, Rosa and with the
Rosa with the funky?
No, Rosa in the 8.
Or you got Rosie and the funky.
No, not in the funky. Rose is just going
to the 8. So the top
half of Lennox Mall is filled out
for me.
Do what now?
I'm hooty. I'm hooty.
I'm hooty with it, basically.
So you've got hooty in the elite eight.
Let's go down to the bottom of the Lennox
mall.
we've got
knowing versus the way you move
what'd you have here
the way you move
I got knowing
oh we
knowing really sounds good in my car
it does
you say you hit it right on the head
you know that little
in the baseline
boom boom boom bob boom
Yeah, it's just a fucking, it's, it's, it's a great little, like, it's not going to make a run here, but neither was the way you move.
Below there, so you out of there, you have the way you move into the, into the Sweet 16.
And I have knowing.
Now, below there, you got y'all scared versus the whole world, both the,
have that matchup?
Y'all scared.
I got y'all scared as well.
Yeah.
Y'all scared versus knowing I've got y'all scared into the elite eight.
They are making a run here.
Who do you have y'all scared versus the way you move?
Yeah, the way you move for me.
The way you move.
Come on, man, can't beat that.
Can't beat that.
It's just such a versus.
unless it
unless it plays y'all scared
Andre's verse
Andre's verse just fucking
dumps on the way you move
the verse alone bro
the verse alone
yeah
I love y'all scared
that's one of the hardest
verses ever
so I also
I also used to listen
that was on my pre
game.
What?
You did Tom?
Yeah.
So basically, it's hard for me
to look at that objectively.
That's true.
So.
I get it.
I get it.
We've got y'all scared for me
playing Rosa Parks.
I'm almost ashamed to say it.
Y'all scared is going to the
final four.
Oh.
The fucking four.
Whoa, whoa, oh, baby.
Wow.
Yeah, buddy.
That is crazy.
It's crazy, dog.
I went the way you move, but then Houdy had to spank that ass, though.
Who did there?
Hootie in the final four, baby.
Good for you.
And good for you all scared.
I mean.
Wow, that's crazy.
Y'all scared
Four, baby.
The Funky Four.
One game from
one game from the Chunky ship.
This is madness.
To review here, we've got,
I've got a Quim and I facing
storytelling two
on one side of my bracket in the funky four,
and y'all scared.
The seven seed is awaiting
the winner of the South Lake Mall region.
Who do you have,
George, you've got
Hootty Who?
In Lennox Mall,
who do you have on the other side of it?
In the Funky 4,
I got a Quimini out playing B-O-B.
Okay.
It's going to be a heavyweight match.
Yes, it is.
All right, let's do this.
Let's get to South Lake Mall.
And this,
this region is,
I just want to go out on a,
I want to go out on a limb here
and say that liberation,
maybe get up, maybe
crumbling herb,
maybe ATLN's all win
South Lake Mall region, if it were over there.
Yeah.
I like elevators a lot, though.
I don't think none of them will beat elevators.
But they definitely do a run on the bottom half.
Listen, I would, I like, so there's your spoiler.
You put elevators in the funky four.
Let's just, let's just do it like that.
So you had elevators beating unhappy.
I had elevators beating, can't wait.
You had called before I come playing Jazzy Bell.
I'm assuming you had Jazzy Bell win that one?
Yeah.
Yeah, Jazzy.
I had Jazzy Bell beat I call before I come.
And I had Jazzy Bell beating roses pretty easily, but neither of us had Jazzy Bell beating elevators.
And elevators is in the elite aid here with a chance to go to the funky four, very unceremoniously in this little bracket, in this little region here in the South Lake Mall region.
Black ice against so fresh and so clean.
I had black ice beating out so fresh.
clean, did you?
I have
So Fresh So Clean being out Black Ice.
Two totally different songs
could go either way. Wasn't very passionate
about either one.
Yeah. So Fresh So Clean is
a big song. It crossed over to all kind of
the demographics.
It's just a big song, but it's a good song.
It's a good song. No denying that.
So.
But it happens in the Pians International
though. Yeah. In the bottom,
half.
I got Hollywood divorce getting drugged by international.
Like,
International just fucking runs them out of the gym.
Then International just pulls away,
beats Black Ice by about 20.
It's like a 10-point ball game until 10 minutes left,
and there's just too much.
And then I've got elevators and international facing off,
and I've got International going to the Funky Four.
Ooh, no, you got to be an elevators player?
Yeah, dude.
That's how you feel?
My bitch a choosy lover.
All right.
Oh, man, no, man.
Can't beat elevators, man.
Elevators in the funky four, baby.
Come on, man.
Listen, like I said, if I had to put elevators
for me is
you said this
about
elevated it earlier
it's kind of a quiet song
you know
there's one way
to listen to elevators
and that's sitting
and showing
which is great
international players anthem
I know it's not
traditionally an outcast song
and would you consider it a pop song
no
That's what's great about it
Because everybody fucking knows it
But it's not a pop song
It's not a pop song
I just remember
That beat
It's a 3-6
Beets
You know
Paul and Jay
They did their
For Project Pack
And if you listen to Project Pat version
There's nothing pop about that
John like that
It is hard
Project Pat
Doesn't do anything
pop, bro. Yeah.
So that's my
my first
experience with that beat
was on the Project Pact album.
And so that's the mindset
of me when I'm listening to that song.
Yeah, dude, it's a fucking great
song.
Nothing against international, right?
I mean, you're just like elevators.
No, no. Just
elevators, I just love the simplicity
and the
baseline. That baseline, that baseline,
Everybody knows that big time.
And it's just, those guys coming to age, man.
Second album.
So I'm going to regret.
Here's the deal.
There's only, as I'm looking at this thing,
there's probably one song in my Funky 4 that would be in my Funky 4 every week.
So I just want to say that.
You know, these songs, they fluctuate for me.
I always love them, but some of them leapfrog each other.
Like if you made me fill this thing out next week, it might be different.
But my Funky 4 right now is Aquam and I facing off with storytelling part 2,
which easily it could have been, it could have been ATLNs.
You know what?
I feel like if I feel this out next week, it would be the same.
You think it'd be the same four?
Yeah.
Yeah.
My brain doesn't work that way.
And then on the other side, I've got it.
got a like like if you'd ask me last year to fill this out it would probably be it might be
spody even though i love y'all scared um but if i'm i'm i'm i'm thinking about like some of the
criteria for why it should move on and eventually a song with no bars like spody i had it
losing to rosa just because there's rap on there and this is a rap bracket at the end of the day so
I've got y'all scared facing off with the international players anthem
international players anthem is going to win the Cinderella story the clock is struck
midnight on y'all scared okay and international is going to play a quemini on the other side
in the championship in the chonky ship so I've got a quemini winning handily
against storytelling part or art of storytelling part two
and then on the other side
I've got an international winner.
So Aquimini versus B-O-B for me,
drum roll.
B-O-B beats Aquimini
in the
in the Funky Four.
Oh,
baby.
B-O-B going to the championship
and on the other side
my jam
he made it a long way.
Who did it?
who going to the chunky shit. Wow, dude.
I've been talking out, hootie-hoo, man. I love that song.
Dude, true story this week, since I've been so immersed in all this, this week I've been teaching my one-year-old to say hooty-who.
Luke is a little dude. He's starting to get it, so.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not mad at this.
I'm not mad at this at all.
I mean, so you've got B-O-B against Hootie-Hoo.
And I've got a Klem and I against International Players anthem.
So I've got a Klem and I winning it all, man.
It's my favorite outcast song.
That's the one thing that, that's the one thing I know about this bracket when I come into is what my favorite outcast song is.
And this one, this one was a tough one for me.
very very
I think this might have been my toughest decision
on the bracket
even more than the synthesizer
one
this is probably my toughest decision between
Equimini and B.O.B
because most days
Equimini is my favorite cast
album on most days.
Sometimes
you know
it could be
AT aliens, it could be
a sudden to play a list.
It just depends on the day.
It rotates.
But I had to go with Bob.
B-O-B.
That wins it all for me.
Wins it all for me.
Fuck, that hurts because this was my whole thing.
I was like, yeah, B-O-B is not one of my favorite songs.
So people are going to say now, see, George likes B-O-B.
Hey, man, people like B-O-B.
Listen, here's the deal.
What different songs we picked, tempo-wise, you know, the whole vibe.
I grew up in a shake.
I did not know no better things.
Well, congratulations to B-O-B.
Congratulations to Equimini, winners of our podcast 64 bracket.
I had no idea, seeing it would be this hard.
No.
It ain't like I think about it back then, you know, because I didn't really try to undertake it.
But, man, that was tough.
Really tough, dude.
Really tough.
But I got out my pad and pen.
I don't do that often.
But that was our Outcast 64 bracket.
We had a lot of fun with it.
I hope you guys enjoyed following along.
Again, we'll post our bracket online under the pod.
So you guys can check it out.
I don't think the vitriol is over after they see our brackets.
They're going to be really mad at my bracket.
You go get flamed.
Yeah, well, I mean, which one do you think we're going to flame me about?
You're all scared or storytelling part two?
Oh, wow.
You get, you had, long as you had a Quim and I in the Fonty Four and definitely winning, like, you're not going to kick.
two notes. You know what's funny
though? It's like everybody's got a different
angle and what they don't realize is
some of the stuff they like, half the fans don't
like either. So it's just
you just pick.
I mean there's 64
64 songs again. That's
what makes them so great. So
George thanks man. It was fun
and we'll get back to work
on something else soon.
