That's what I come away from this game saying is damn Seattle.
Now, Sam Darnold's health is probably the biggest story of the whole game.
But like Seattle is an incredible football team.
Down a safety, downyman-Wory, you've got new corners out there making fantastic plays.
These guys played big.
I mean, they did.
And Drew Locke, Drewlock doesn't have to be a world-beater.
But then your whole game plan immediately goes with the undoubted leader of your team is, you know, down after the first series.
So there wasn't a ton of, like, creativity out of Seattle's offense, but there kind of didn't really need to be.
But your guy, you know, Brian Murphy is a dog.
You see him redirect after that, like, angling across the center's face and they're blitzing and how fast he was able to get his foot in the ground, get vertical.
And like, he's teach tape.
If it weren't for Dixon, they don't win this game.
Dixon is all-world punter.
Yeah.
I feel more alive right now.
I just because you're talking to your old buddy, though, right now.
A thing that we both love.
You know, it's back.
We are back in the Chow line, man.
We are back in the Chow Line.
The NFL said, we'll give you 10-7.
We'll give you three picks.
I mean, objectively.
We'll give you Drew Locke.
And you'll stay up late.
We could still be awake watching overtime.
Bo, do you remember last?
November. Do you remember when Drake May was good? Everyone said he was QB1. And now he doesn't know how to play
football. That was wild, dude. That was insane. I was going to get up here. The first half I was
going to stroke McDaniels and say, hey man, that's about, that's as relentlessly conservative as
you could be while being creative and knowing the situation.
And in the second half, I was going to say,
hey, man, like you could play like you want to win the game.
But then after seeing Drake May throw those three picks,
I kind of understand why they were keeping the Ferrari in the garage.
Yeah, I agree.
I mean, let's talk about Seattle defense a little bit, Chris.
I mean, come on, they were fucking good.
Like, even without even worry, you know what I mean?
Like, I was very, very impressed with their defense.
So it's a tough, man.
You know, it was.
And I think that's what you're coming away.
from this game saying like I think you know macro new england looks wild card as fuck it's week
one we're not going to overreact but that's like i don't i do think they're going to be better than
they were last year depending on a j brown's health and that sort of thing you know which is a big deal
you could see how much things change when he left the game on that like those easy access slants that
you get with him that the third downs that they were in a rhythm of hitting against man coverage
it changes the game like you know you're down emin warry you figure you could probably eat in the
slot a little bit yeah you could put a j in there it it throws the balance off in a big way when he
leaves the game um i just even worry changes the the whole um equation when it comes to the run
game as well and like honestly that if he were in this game i don't know they've been able to
sniff a yard.
Like, that's what I come away from this game saying is damn Seattle.
Now, Sam Darnold's health is probably the biggest story of the whole game.
But like Seattle is, and we already knew this, an incredible football team to be able to down a safety, down even worry.
You've got new corners out there making fantastic plays.
Joe, you know, got beaten.
That was a, dude, that was the fucking sickest pick I've ever seen.
Yeah.
I mean, the flea flicker to bounce back from that.
but like, I mean, I just, I can't believe the game ended like that.
And Pritchett didn't just do that.
He, he made a big stop on, on that last drive, the fourth, third, and short.
Of course, they pick it up and everything.
But, like, these guys played big.
I mean, they did.
And Drew Locke, Drewlock doesn't have to be a world beter for as long as, I mean, listen, the Flurry, the new OC boat.
Like, I was going down the list, and I'll talk to the guys about this tomorrow on the gambling show.
But there's a pretty good sample size.
the first time offensive coordinators, guys who are calling their first game with a team over the last few years.
And, you know, the offensive output has not been great in those games a lot of the time, which is not surprising.
But now imagine you roll up and you're playing a very good defense like the Patriots defense.
Yeah.
And you're missing your Super Bowl MVP left.
Okay, you've got a rookie running back who has juice.
He's got juice.
but you're missing your franchise quarterback after the first possession.
And you can't blame, you can't blame, you can't blame Flurry for all the false starts.
And the dead ball fouls, I think a lot of that is like your QB2 working with the QB1 offensive line, wouldn't you say?
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, you saw the false start and then immediately after that, like, it was a weird false start delay a game situation where they kind of squandered that second and one going in, you know, to potentially score.
but there was a lot of that.
But even with all that said,
I think the coordinator did a good job of just kind of playing with what he had.
You know what I mean?
Like you have exactly what you said,
a rookie running back who has big shoes to fill and you don't quite know
what you're getting there.
Now I was impressed with what I saw.
But then your whole game plan immediately goes to shit with the undoubted leader of your
team is, you know,
down after the first fucking series.
And so there wasn't a ton of, like, creativity out of Seattle's offense,
but there kind of didn't really need to be.
You have elite playmaker with JSN,
and you saw them fucking house that.
And then you kind of stuck to your run game
and tried to get your offense in a rhythm
after such a disjoining injury to your starting quarterback.
Like I kind of like, I mean,
I liked what I saw from that offensively
because I feel like it was smart and conservative
and they played within themselves, you know?
Flurry, who Mike McDonald went out of his way to say,
hey, this guy's brilliant.
I'm learning things from him.
Like the hottest coach on the planet right now is saying,
how I'm learning plays from this guy.
He's a 46-year-old.
First-time play caller.
And yes, a lot of pre-snap penalties and all that shit.
I'm not going to put that on the OC.
I thought they were sloppy.
And a lot of, like, think about it, the AJ Barner, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,
push, the, you know, the illegal formation down at the goal line.
Like, we had, uh, their first drive got killed with a sobbert, false start.
There was a bunch of stuff.
A litany of bullshit happened with this.
But that's going to be week one.
That's week one.
All week.
And then it's magnified.
when you have QB2 in there.
But I will say this.
When New England was in zone,
they opened up nice windows underneath for Drew Locke,
although sometimes he missed the layups.
He also made some nice plays.
Hey, that fourth and one, great play.
But also down in the low red zone,
you know, there was the play where JSM was in the backfield.
And I think Woodson, it worked too well.
Yeah, they bluffed Woodson.
He's about to fall on his face and JSN's going to run right by him,
but he runs into JSN.
So I thought all the scheme considering the situation from Seattle's offense was very good.
And you have to remember this about Seattle.
As we embark on this, maybe Sam Donald's out for a while journey.
Is it going to be Drew Locke?
Is it going to be somebody else?
Kirk Cousins.
Well, I don't know if they feel like Kirk Cousins would be an upgrade.
But I'll say this, you got five returning offensive line starters.
Yeah.
That's a big deal.
Not a lot of teams have that.
It's a young group.
They're going to grow up together.
and this is, you know, part of the learning experience.
But I thought Halani, a guy who, who's going to get a lot of burn.
If you're a fantasy person, you got Halani, you might want to, I don't know if he's
rosterable, as they would say, but like the guy's going to get touches.
Kind of Sonic and Knuckles-esque a little bit with those two, you think, or is that too early
to kind of start that?
I think, I don't know if they're going to be Sonic and Knuckles.
It was funny in the first half of the game.
I go, you know, Price is going to be a really good compliment to Charbonnet.
And in my head, I was like, maybe it's the other way around.
I think Charbonnet might be a good compliment to Price because Price has serious juice.
You know, a lot of what this group's going to do, the ceiling of their offense is predicated on bouncing the ball.
Yeah.
You can see that Price does that.
O'bting a little bit differently than Kenny Walker does with the big jump cuts.
Yeah.
He's going to press things hard, front side and bounce them.
And he's going to keep people honest.
And if Charbonnet gets in the game, you're going to run inside.
zone and you know you're going to you're going to smash the football so good down in the red zone and
chris your point there like the outside zone game that they have in the run and like you saw them go to
a lot of play action and boots and stuff like that like the way that the seattle seahawks offense
is already set up kind of makes it a little bit more palatable for a guy like drew lock to step
in you know what i mean like you're not you're obviously not getting you know sam darnal but if you
think about it like it's got to be one of the you know obviously you don't want a fucking injury
like that. Like I'm not, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just kind of just kind of thinking,
ruminating, if you will, on how like, you know, the structure of Seattle on how good they are
as a team and how good their defenses and even their special teams. Like, it's not a terrible
fucking situation to have a guy like Drew Lockstep into. Um, and while I'm on that point,
dude, I don't think Seattle wins that game on the road. And I think the 12s had a huge impact.
I also think special teams outside of that, whatever, roughing the kick or whatever the
fuck it was i thought that was fucking annoying like whatever that's a bad that's a bad bad play to make
that's bad yeah but the special teams for seattle was good like i think we'll probably see these
kind of stats tomorrow um but like what was the patriots average starting field position it
it was bad if it weren't if it weren't for dixon they don't win this game dixon is all world
punter yeah um he pinned new england back a bunch of times and i thought the moment of truth in
this game came when he pinned him back in the second half and things had started to swing
New England's way a little bit and you had Shaheed and you had the pre-snap penalty and you're
like fuck dude she he's going to run one back just the anticipation in that building just when
that you really can tell that stadium pulse thing yeah it's real up there and dude like that that
game not exactly because I'm not trying to disrespect Russell Wilson because Russell Wilson and
Drew Locker, not even the same hemisphere, but it felt like...
They both have swag, though.
Right, but it felt like back in the day when we'd go up there and play, and it was L-O-B,
and you'd play in these games, and we held Marchion and Russ down a lot, like, respectfully,
but we'd end up losing games like 13-7, and it was always tight, and in the second half,
somebody would make a big play, and that Cooper Cup play was kind of that big vertical,
you know, that Hail Mary that Russ used to throw up for Doug Baldwin or somebody would just come
down with it and then the top goes off the place you get turnovers it's kind of like an avalanche when
you when you start losing that building so i thought yeah hey seattle great you know we talked about
price is stud um i thought nuosu played really well yes yes you were you were tufts and that oh yeah
you blew the fuck up out of that i think it was bad look for raritan it looked like uh yeah exactly
tight end coming back or their full back or whatever and he also had a really good uh he had
another good TFL later in like the
Yeah, on a swing pass. Yeah, exactly. He's just a really
heady player and he's just an all around
really good player. So, but your guy
you know,
Byron Murphy is a dog.
You see him redirect after that like angling across the center's face and they're
blitzing and how fast he was able to get his foot in the ground,
get vertical and like he's teach tape. Yeah. And then
then a really nice counter bull on that. I can't remember who
ended up getting the sack. It might have been Leonard Williams or
something. But dude, while we're on the topic of Byron Murphy, I saw this clip of him ranking
his top five movies of all time. Did you see this? Oh, no. What were they?
Dude, you wouldn't be able to, you maybe guess one of them on here. It's fucking incredible.
Pull it up. Okay. Ready? Imitation of life. Look, look that movie up. Flowers in the attic.
I'm sitting here, like, these are some deep cuts. Some mellow drama, dude. Yeah. And then it gets a little more,
it gets a little more like as expected with American gangster.
flowers in the attic.
You got to look at the attic.
That guy's near a shoulder,
near knee on double teams and watching
flowers in the attic a gothic horror novel.
Yeah.
And then and then it gets a little bit,
you know,
kind of what I thought of my do with American gangster,
Banger,
certified banger.
But, you know,
and then Scarface.
That's great.
Okay.
And then Rosewood.
Rosewood, okay.
Yeah.
So it's just,
It's a Cinephile.
Yeah, incredible guy.
I mean, he played good, man.
He had, what, seven or eight sacks last year?
And you can already tell him's going to be disruptive as fuck, man.
I mean, the Seattle defense is so fun to watch.
They play so fast.
They play so fast.
And their offense plays fast, too.
They really do.
And you could see the elements of, like, the Kubiak system carry over in the next year.
So in a lot of ways, other than an x-ray that's probably coming in the morning,
and we're going to know about the darnled stuff pretty quickly with the hip.
Like it looks like the same damn team.
Yeah.
You know,
they didn't have probably their most important defensive player
in Nickymanwari out on the field.
And they still made Drake May look lost.
Dude,
he threw the ball into a fucking team meeting.
He was laid on the shot where he's got to,
you got to stack the corner and put that ball on the sideline.
So two really bad ones.
And then the third one was like,
that's something I do on Madden at 1.30 in the morning.
I'm going to do that in 30 minutes with a phone.
fucking raw cone in my mouth, dude.
That's the type of thing that I hold my controller and say you don't need to throw it,
but I'm not a professional football player anymore.
I'm not a quarterback.
Like, how do you do that, bro?
It's first and 15.
You get it on fourth and nine.
Like, you're on your 10th life.
All you have to do is throw the fucking football into the third row, man.
And because of that, here's the awkward part.
Now, these guys love Drake May.
there's none of that but like it's going to be a long flight home and it's going to be a long flight home
for romeo dobs and i know i i said hey drake may he did a bad thing today he threw three awful
picks but it's like it's like fucking my guy romeo dobbs aided and abetted there because it was like
as soon as he dropped that football it all went to shit i'm not i never fucked up like that in my life like
on in prime time dropping a football.
I don't know what that's like.
But I will tell you,
it was my first game in Philly, Bo.
Do you remember the train ride back?
I had Kurt Cousins dead to rights.
He stepped up last second.
I missed him.
Blind side unblocked.
The hardest sack, in my opinion, in football,
is the unblock sack.
But I missed it.
And, you know, we won the game.
Luckily, it was the first game.
First game with a new team,
myself in Philly.
And I'll never forget the feeling on the ride home,
the bus ride or the train ride home we were all in the train you me sell it and i wanted to die
like legitimately i've never felt so just disgusted with myself and you're you're just
ruminating on that over and over again meanwhile like i'm in the train right and i got my own play
like that you know i know but but that play right there that romeo dobbs play in a season that
will come you want to win the division it ain't going to be a runaway for
you. You want to get in the wild card. Man, you better win 10 games. They got a tough schedule.
And plays like that, you look back at the end of the season, hey, this wasn't a revenge game.
And honestly, the way they played it, I thought was very responsible to a point, right?
You're up a score. Sam Darnold's hurt. You're running the ball effectively. A second and long turns into third and short.
you're hitting the little man beaters or whatever the little outroutes you've hit a couple
creative shots the flea flicker but at some point you got to go for the jugular and i thought that
first drive out of the half and then honestly the third and five the draw before the half kind of banking
on the fact that you might get the ball back with a short field i think you got to be more aggressive than
that i thought you're walking a tightrope but but it was a variable spot right and it felt like
that for a while. You take your ego out of it. You say, hey, fuck it, we're going to win this game 13.7.
The problem is, you didn't take care of the football. If you took care of the football, you win that
game. So mentally, like, what does this mean for that team? Dude, watching the backers at time who did a
great job at times, who did a great job running downhill, but like watching Spillane Chase,
Drew Locke in the Red Zone, like, that's an angle I'm taking right now at 41 years old, and it looked the
same. They don't have great edge rush. The backer plays. Jackus. What's his name? Jackus,
the rookie. Yacus. That was a bit of a coverage sack, but a good, a good play, man.
I thought he played all right. He played well. That's a rookie. Yeah. But do you have like a bona fide
guy outside? So you've got, you know, backers are not terribly athletic. You're not great on the edge.
I think the secondary is really good. The offensive line, as a positive, looked a lot better.
Yeah, I mean, I was, I think there's been a lot made about Will Campbell and you heard Chris Collinsworth talk about it a lot tonight.
Like, I don't think he was asked to do a ton tonight, honestly.
Like, he had the, just the way that Seattle blitz is and everything like that is what I'm getting at.
Like you slide a lot.
You have tight ends in.
You have protection help.
There's not a ton of like four down pure, you know, third and six one-on-one rushes.
You know what I mean?
So like, you know, it's one of those games where you're fucking full slide.
a ton.
You got to.
He had a holding penalty, you know, that I thought was kind of fucking whatever.
I felt like Stevenson should have jam that right in the, in the middle of the offensive
line there, but he bounced it.
And you were talking about positives for the Patriots just now, Chris.
I mean, that's another one for me.
I think Stevenson's a dog.
The way he runs, I really respect.
He took care of the ball.
He takes care of the ball.
He runs hard.
You know, he's the kind of back that I think is most productive later in the season because he's
just so physical with the way he plays.
I thought that was a positive.
There were times Drake May's
legs continue to be
a real weapon for the
Patriots offensively. That's a positive.
I also love that in that critical moment,
whatever it was at the end of the game.
I think it was fourth down or whatever.
They did that boot and he kept it.
Dog, I texted Nolan at 10 o'clock
and I said, next money down.
We need that Denver naked boot.
Exactly.
And we got it.
So, hey, listen, his legs, he looked healthy.
The whole, not that his shoulder was slowing his legs down,
but he looked quicker this game than he did a couple months ago.
Yeah.
And I got a couple other random things that I noticed.
Can we shout out Matt Collins?
Yes, we have to shout out Matt Collins.
I mean, it was critical at the end of the game.
Listen, Max's going to take Dobbs's touches.
Because honestly, when Dobbs wasn't getting the ball for a long time,
and fuck me, he's on my fantasy team, Dobbs.
but he's on it every year.
It's a tradition.
But like,
Dobbs gets down in the tank sometimes.
He did in Green Bay.
He's got the drops.
Mack Hound's really mentally tough.
Braybill's not a guy that I don't read him as a guy that if you're having problems upstairs,
he's going to make it any easier on you.
He's going to want you to produce.
Tough shit.
That's a patriot way, baby.
It is kind of the patriot way ultimately,
but I thought Matt Hollins was down to get.
getting out of bounds to set up that third down in the red zone because they had one time
out left. This game should be over. The patch should be winning this game in the low red, right?
Mac Hollins was a big part of that. Drake May stole the Mac Hollins, you know, I don't know
what we would call it a stroke session. Yeah. The glaze off, the Hollins glaze off, the shoeless
glaze off.
Yeah, dude.
So a couple things that I don't, just, it's fucking weird Wednesday football.
And there we got a Thursday international game, but it was nice that football back.
I don't know if you notice this, Chris, but they took off the PFF grades on, on the introses.
Fucking love that, finally.
Mercifully.
Yeah.
Is that a week one thing?
That's what I'm wondering.
Like, they don't have.
No, I think it's probably all year.
And it makes me wonder if Chris Collinsworth is invested in that group anymore.
But he sold out of his PFS.
He probably sold, yeah, and they're like, well, we're not going to put it on TV anymore,
but like, that was the worst, bro.
I was very happy.
Those are ding-dong, the witch is dead situation.
Hey, we got to go to read.
We have an update on Sam Darnold.
Adam Schaefter tweeted that Mike McDonald said the team got great news back on Sam Darnold.
The doctors do not believe the quarterback's hip is fractured.
And MRI on Thursday is expected to tell the team more.
So hopefully some good news for the Seahogs.
Man, that's great.
You worry he tore some.
That's what you're worried about with the laborman, that sort of thing.
But, you know, if he is out, say, a month or something, like, this is, these two weeks here, these are games they can win.
You know, Arizona, Washington, listen, they're going to play the Chargers in a couple weeks.
The Chargers win that game.
Chargers find a way to win that game as long as it's not a playoff game.
And that's what I'm saying about the Pats right now is like, I was just not impressed.
Listen, I don't need the style points.
I didn't need you to go, you know, I didn't need you.
I don't want to do the phrase because Roquan Smith did it this week.
Did you hear that whole thing?
No.
Roquan Smith, the funniest headline ever.
Roquan Smith was like, our offense is great.
We can ground and pound it.
We can go bombs over back now?
And collectively, everybody was like, can you say that?
And he comes back and he's like, I'd like to clarify.
I was not talking about the Outcast song.
I was talking about what we did in the Middle East.
I love that.
down, baby.
So anyways, yeah, I mean, like, I didn't need New England to go, like, you know, for the jugular
and show us how fast the new cars drive.
And they weren't going to do that.
But you have to find a way to win the fucking game.
That's the crux of, that's what makes a Vrabel spot, a Vrabel spot.
And guess what?
Vrable has won those spots with much less talented quarterbacks.
So Drake's got to get his ass in gear and win a game like that.
You don't have to throw for 350.
You have to take care of the football.
Yep, I agree, man.

about zone nicotine pouches visit zonpouches.com and remember to join the zone loyalty program for
exclusive rewards and offers one thing i've learned since retiring has has been uh it's hard to keep
your weight on like it just we work so hard as NFL players i was training you know hours a day
um just to keep my strength up just to keep my muscle mass up to stay healthy i don't have that kind
of time anymore i got three kids i got a couple jobs i got i just i just
don't have that kind of time anymore and my body can't take the beating that he used to in the
weight room so you know to get the same amount out of workouts i used to to to do at 2x intensity
uh you need help and and for me create gummies have have been that little boost uh you know
i started taking create and i really never took creatine when i played after i played i started
taking it and the easy use obviously just being able to pop them in um you know not
have to mix a powder in a shaker that sort of thing which as you y'all know can be a pain oh where's
my shaker i got no i got no clean shakers oh no i got nothing to mix it with i got a i got a pack shakers
on the road when i travel no i'm not going to do that i got my gummies and uh and and i have noticed
a big difference in the way i recover um the the way i keep my muscle mass on uh i feel like at this
point um and maybe this is just a something i made up in my head but i feel like i'm i i look as
good as i looked when i played sometimes like i i'm almost 260 pounds that was like almost my
playing weight and i'm leaner um and and certainly i don't think i could take on a pulling guard but
but i feel good like nobody's looking at me at the beach and being like what the f happened to that
guy nah not with create gummies they're like oh that guy still trains so uh that that's
definitely helps like keep the muscle mass on,
keeps you looking, feeling good.
And as important as anything is the cognitive benefits.
You know, so recovery, cognitive benefits,
like keeping your muscle mass on the whole thing.
And, you know, recovery takes longer in my 40s
than I used to for sure, especially in the summer
when I'm depleted, dehydrated, the whole thing.
I'm slamming water and I'm eating,
I'm eating create gummies.
And so, you know, you think,
about training camp i kind of wish uh training camp time i kind of wish i was taking create and
in training camp uh back when i played uh you know but it helps me now doing all the things i'm doing in
retirement so um better late than never i am loving creatine and i'm loving create gummies
let's talk about the uh the rams game coming up this is super interesting to me
first off there was a netflix ad did you see the netflix ad where they're like
trying to Americanize this game so much.
Like, they couldn't put a real
Australian guy on the, on the promo
because you wouldn't be able to fucking understand
them. Those people, like, if you get a real Australian
guy, you straight up can't understand him.
The guy was like, Netflix
Game Day. You know,
it was just like... It's like the
same Australian voice actor that you
can, like, change on your, like, Apple
Maps. A Siri. Yeah.
Australian accent. He was
like, it was like Australian.
It's a palatable Australian, Chris.
If you ever hear an
Australian person, you can barely understand them.
All right.
So Melbourne,
is 17.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Yeah.
I don't even know how to talk Australian.
Melbourne is a seven.
I couldn't stop.
I could still be in a Netflix commercial.
Melbourne is a 17,
um,
it's 17 hours ahead of L.A.
Which actually means to me that it's seven hours behind L.A. and tomorrow.
Does that make sense?
You sound like Kyle Chanahan right now, Chris.
It's only a seven-hour difference in my head.
From a full day.
Does that make sense?
So you got to go back to go forward?
What do you dock around?
It's kind of a Matthew McConaughey situation.
So it's kind of a true detective situation or whatever knows the Lincoln commercial.
So Melbourne is 17 hours ahead of L.A.
You got me?
You with me?
Yeah, kind of, mostly.
So right now it's, it's 9 p.m. in L.A., which means it's 4 a.m. on Friday in Melbourne.
But that's only seven hours difference.
From a body clock standpoint, your body doesn't care what the date is.
Oh, I see what you're getting at now.
Okay, I'm following.
You see what I'm saying?
Yeah, I get it now.
I had to really think that for it.
it's kind of like if you didn't tell me what day it was it's kind of like we're in
Hawaii you know it's like the way we would feel in Hawaii like an east coast or six
seven hours so now that now that you put it that way it's not such a big fucking deal but
yeah but the flight the flight is brutal yeah those fucking guys getting off that plane in
their sweatsuits did not look happy no dude not at all I mean that's about as bad as it can
possibly be I don't get it
That's why I'm kind of on the, I'm kind of on the Rams, you know, travel plan a little bit.
I am.
I am. Yeah.
If it's London, I want to go all week.
Yeah.
For some reason.
Just enough time, you know.
Maybe I'm coming around on the whole thing.
But the way the Rams fly, their plane's so nice that you could fly me anywhere, dude.
You could just fly me around the globe for a day.
I'd probably hang out on that plane and be perfectly happy.
But I don't know if you saw this.
There was a dude.
I might need a little bit of help on this producer team,
but there's a dude who flew with the Niners to Australia and then got released.
That's the worst.
Just worst flight.
That's the worst flight.
That's going to be worse flight.
Like, do you just hang out over there or what?
Dude, I would hang out for a while.
I'm going to Bondi Beach, man.
Fuck it.
I don't know.
But you're trying to get more.
That's honestly kind of what happened to the,
did you ever watch the documentary about the,
the USC guy.
No.
Who started selling drugs for the cartel.
And they were like, oh, you're pretty good at this.
Go sell 100 kilos of cocaine in Australia.
That's not really what happened to this kid.
But you should watch the soft white underbelly.
You ever heard of soft white underbelly?
I've not heard of that documentary.
Well, it's a documentary series.
It's one of my favorite things on YouTube.
but the guy is,
he was a USC football player
who started selling cocaine.
It's a very interesting guy, dude.
You couldn't fit his balls in a wheelbarrow, dude.
Owen Hanson.
I'm surprised he was able to play football, dude,
with the testicles that this guy has, bro.
He was, he was, in Australia,
you can't get cocaine in and out.
And the cartel was like,
got to sell 100 kilos.
and he went over there and did it, dude.
How do you do it?
How do you get it in?
I think bottles of wine.
Oh.
I think he was shipping in bottles of wine.
So he had like a, here's a mallback of cocaine.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
I'm getting hints of Columbia.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Anyways, that's just a plug for that.
It's Owen Hanson.
And there's a fucking documentary called the cocaine quarterback,
but I thought the soft white underbelly interview was so great dude shout out okay okay so back to the game
though back to the game bro here's what I think's really before we get you into this I got to ask you
a question I've been dying is George Kittle fucking playing in this game yeah eight months out that's
fucking nuts I would just had completely written off his week one uh like I thought there was no way
I thought it was kind of like, and then I'm hearing on this broadcast, I was watching like, I don't know, some fucking NFL game day thing.
And they're talking about George Kittle playing on a limited play count.
I'm like, wait, what?
I didn't know about this at all.
Yeah, but imagine they're like, hey, man, you just popped your Achilles.
You're like 30 years old.
I'm going to need you to rehab in an insanely quick amount of time.
Your first game is going to be in Australia against Miles Garrett.
Yeah, but he's a sick freak, bro.
He probably loves that shit.
He probably does.
But I'm bringing that up because, and I know everybody makes a big deal about the Miles Garrett thing all summer and everything.
And then the Aaron Donald thing.
And we got Trent McDuffie and Watson, the whole thing.
But like the Miles Garrett thing is a big fucking deal, as we know.
And I can't wait to see how big a deal it is in this matchup.
Because so much of this Shanahan stuff, get on your edge, tight ends that can block George Kittle.
The Rams have had really good edges over the time that Sean McVeigh's been there.
They've had Von Miller.
They've had Leonard Floyd.
They've had, you know, Jared Verse was a two, you know, not just a one-dimensional player,
two-dimensional.
Young's a great pass rush.
They've never had a guy this good in both phases.
And there really aren't any other ones.
and Miles Garrett in the run game is also the way he resets a line of scrimmage,
the way he sets an edge inside of a tackle box.
You want to run at him with a tight end.
You're going to run front side zone.
Chances are Trent is going to be outside of where he sets an edge on a tight end.
And so it really does change the math in this matchup.
The other thing is, and Shanahan owned this matchup,
for a while. Now it's swung back the other way. The one place we talked about this that the Rams are a little bit,
not, Rams fans get so sensitive about this. I'm not saying you're not good at linebacker.
You're just fucking insane everywhere else. So if I were, if I were an OC, I'm running angle routes.
I'm running choice routes. Duo. Duo. I'm working the middle of the field. And I'm taking shots at the
safeties in the middle of the field like the middle of the field is is a place that
Kyle Shanahan can win especially with the personnel he has so I think it's going to be an
interesting ball game I'm wondering about screens I'm wondering about yeah and deep shots
to Mike Evans that's kind of what I'm thinking too if you're the Niners and I mean I am so excited
to watch the battle of you know Miles Garrett and and Trent Williams I think you can't
really find two bigger dogs at their respective positions.
musicians and, man, that is, that is a battle down under it, man.
I'm excited about that.
It's crikey, mate.
It's going to be real crikey.
Cricke.
That's all, yeah.
I'm just happy neither of us if I put another shrimp on the bobby.
Yeah, that's the worst one, dude.
So, so, so, yeah, we look forward to that game tomorrow night.
Tees God won his first teaser.
I think the Rams win that game.
I think they do too.
I'm thinking like fucking 31 to 17.
I think it's going to be.
Yeah.
I don't know, man.
I don't know.
I think it might be lower scoring.
But we'll see.
The other thing is RIP Barry Melrose.
That was a tough one.
Got that notification in the second quarter.
When I played in St. Louis, my boy Stanford, Steve, our boy got me a bear.
Mary Melrose signed picture that I had in my locker right there.
I got to see Barry Melrose every day.
He was one of my favorite people on TV, one of my favorite sports personalities.
Suit game was impeccable.
Just a smooth operator, man.
And yeah, he'll be dearly missed, dude.
RIP, Barry Melrose.
Fuck, we didn't get any free football.
Thought we were going to get some free football.
Would have been nice.
Wednesday night free football?
that's yeah that's a new feeling for me you don't get a lot of new feelings when you're almost 35
years old wait till you're 41 you will get new feelings like taking a piss uh 30 seconds after
you lay down to go to sleep every night yeah that's gonna be a new one yeah um anyways uh i think
that's everything listen um it's back and you know people are going to complain about the quality
of football but you're all in the chow line man
and you'll be in the chow line tomorrow night i know you
will
I know you will
things just I feel more alive right now
I just because you're talking to your old buddy
though right now
about a thing that we both love you know
it's fucking back
big skin I got a question for you this is unrelated to anything
we've been talking about but I saw an ad
for you know I know you like movies
I like movies a lot I feel like the
movie theater experience is coming back
this top cruise movies
Who?
Digger?
Yeah,
Byron Young.
Digger?
I've kind of pumped about those.
Byron Murphy.
Byrd Murphy, yeah.
Who's Dinger?
Digger is this like satirical.
Oh, I'm not pumped about, no, I'm not about that movie at all.
No.
No, no.
I'm not pumped about that movie.
I'm just imagining Tom Cruise's role in Tropic Thunder, you know?
That's just his whole character.
Yeah, I hated his role in Tropic Thunder, dude.
That was the worst part of the movie.
Really?
Yeah. Wow. I feel like that's a hot take, Chris.
Is it? Because the movie was impeccable, but the Tom Cruise thing. I also didn't like Mark Wahlberg and the other guys. So, and everybody always argues with me about that.
Mark Wahlberg's probably fucking upset. He probably turned the game off early tonight.
Digger Rodney Tomatoes. He probably committed a hate crime.
We're past that.
Oh, that's okay now. I forgot.
I think you get like a medal of honor for that now.
Yeah, that's, you get put in the Oval Office.
The meme of, who is it?
Obama putting a medal on Biden.
Trump putting a medal on.
Oh, good God.
Yeah, so we don't have a review yet for this movie.
I think it's coming out soon, man.
Dude, the Odyssey was great.
Right?
You liked it?
I like that.
I like that shit a lot, dude.
I want to see it again, man.
I'm going back.
I only regret.
I saw it in the Dolby version.
You know, they have like 70 millimeter.
I'm not going to say in Dolby for the sound.
Yeah.
Because they have the recline, full recline seats, which I need.
Yeah.
I want to go back and see it in IMAX.
Well, that's enough.
