Starting point is 00:00:00 Halloween celebrated. Whenever Halloween time starts coming around, you see the pumpkins, see the mother with her little girl putting the witch's hat on her and the little pumpkins. You see the candy, you see the Halloween pumpkins, you see people decorating their pumpkins. All these symbols of death. You know, there are people out there who don't just celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treat candy. This is a religious holiday to them, and they are taking innocent human life. I can't say, go ahead and have Halloween pumpkins. It doesn't matter if you're participating in Halloween, even if you're not a Satanist. You know, if it's just pumpkins, it makes me sick. Horrible, demonic pumpkins. I think it's quite ironic. He has a point.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Hey, it's getting spooky, man. It is getting spooky. Tell people about... Well, it's a funny running joke here, Because I somewhat, not to the extent that he's saying, I grew up that way where Halloween was kind of, it's kind of an evil holiday. And in my household, I said a Halloween, it was Holy Ween. The Holy Wean. It was Holy Weed.
Starting point is 00:01:25 And we used to go to church events in October, and instead of it being like spooky, it was just, you know, it was marketed through the Christian religion. Yeah. That of the death and the witches and all that. It was, I don't even know what the old probably was. You called it a pagan holiday. Yeah. I mean, that's how I was taught. And, you know, I never went trick-or-treating when I was really a kid.
Starting point is 00:01:50 He had to sneak out to go trick-or-treating. He had to, like, trigger-treat in secrecy. But we used to get, we used to get candy at Holy Ween. So it was like, you wasn't missing out on it. You wasn't missing out on much. Candy at Holy Ween. That's wild, dude. What kind of wean did you celebrate, Reed?
Starting point is 00:02:08 I was the hollow, kind of. That was a hollow. Unholy wean. It's that time of year, guys. I still haven't picked out my Halloween costume. Costume. Which I'm going to, the great thing about being a podcaster is, again, you get a home costume. a podcast costume sometimes you get multiple are you guys gonna do like a big family one you got a big
Starting point is 00:02:29 family now yeah i do so my daughter wants to be rubble from rubble and crew which is the spin-off it's basically better call saul for for um for pa-patrol okay it's like honestly because it is like in a lot of ways better than pa-patrol pop patrol was getting a little far-fetched okay um she wants to be rubble but like a pumpkin also so we're like a pumpkin and a rubble somehow. So, Coy wants to be a lady, and a lady is a witch. And she's like, I want to be a lady. And she's been running around going,
Starting point is 00:03:03 aha. Well, I got news for you. Getting into character. Getting into character. That witch thing is popular. June wanted to be a witch for a while, and then she switched up. I got one son who thinks he's Michael Jackson. Legitimately, he's got the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Moonwalk video coming soon? Yeah, he's like working on his little moonwalk and all that. Love it. But anyways, yeah. So it's that time. It's October. The reason I bring up October and Halloween is because Bill Belichick used to say, and I hope I'm not butchering this, but he used to say,
Starting point is 00:03:39 the season doesn't start until after Thanksgiving. Right? Yeah. You know, that's okay. Can I push back on that? You sure can. I've heard you say that. But doesn't everything that happens prior to Thanksgiving?
Starting point is 00:03:54 Matter. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's why I used to be like, hey man, like, I understand what you're saying, but at the same time, like, why are we here then? Right. Because I'm here a lot, and it's September, and I've been here a lot. But, but he's... You can say that when you have, like, a more than mediocre team and you know that you're not going to lose. Right. Three games before October, so you can... So you're going to be in position to say, hey, now the real football starts. Exactly. The point is, we're going to talk about almost everything today.
Starting point is 00:04:24 but I do we're going to start with it after the Sunday night game we are going to hit the two five and no teams because there are two five and no teams in the NFL and it's up to you guys to decide whether they're real or not because it's not even Thanksgiving yet I can't be held liable for deciphering what's real and not what's not speaking of what's real and what's not the Falcons oh I know what's real we got a fling me and the Falcons and like it's it was going so so well and it was going really well actually can you pull that that text message i got last night our friend ryan shout out to ryan who's a big falcons fan at 1009 p.m texted me this is right before they cut it to 1715 he's like doing the whole the falcons are back this is why i love falcons fans like that's tongue-in-cheek for sure but you know the excitement that comes with winning two primetime games And being in the driver's seat for the third one makes you feel like maybe it's going to be us. Shout out to John Abraham gets into the Ring of Honor. I remember John Abraham because I used to hang out with him a little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I think I hung out with him one year. I don't know where I hung out with John Abraham, but there was alcohol. And he's a great dude. And he used to say, I don't ever try to get the body. I always go for the ball. I don't even try to tackle the quarterback. And if you watch John Abraham play, like he forced a million fumbles. And it's nice to be able to say, like, I win so much that I'm not even going for the tackle.
Starting point is 00:06:00 You know, I'm just going for the football. He got into the Ring of Honor last night, and he was a tremendous player. And those red jackets are so cool. So cool. If you're going to get into any Ring of Honor, that's a pretty good one. I mean, not necessarily because Falcons have great history. They do. But the red jackets are amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:19 And the perks in Atlanta, they'll probably flit. Yes, sure. So anyways, I'm going to give out a worst seat right now. I got to do it now because if I do it later, we'll have already talked about it. But me, last night being on the Falcons minus three and catching three points in a teaser and watching an entire drive where the Ravens eat up like six minutes of the overtime period. and they're paying into Michael Penix and he's I'm trying to read lips and shit and I'm like what is going on over here Chris Collinsworth's telling me you know they should have put penics right out there which is like the
Starting point is 00:07:01 wrong call anyways and overtime I don't know if I misheard what he said but the bottom line is two a trots in at the end of regulation and you should have heard us in the in the cave last night dude like I a guttural scream like I like I was like no yeah what's what? It was like screams and like sighs. It laughs. The end of the game, when two or through that pick, Chris Collinsworth, all he could muster was a, it was like the most menacing laugh.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Like, you know, you never know with this NFL. You're going to get characters from past seasons. They're going to pop up with cameos and they're going to be just like they were in past seasons. You're going to rip an in cut for 20 yards. You're going to get me off my seat and say, I've never in my life had to depend on two in a fourth quarter. I don't think I've ever bet the dolphins in my entire life. And he comes in.
Starting point is 00:08:01 He rips the in cut. Then he takes 35 seconds to find the next play on his wristband. And he studies the play for 30 seconds. They snap the ball. And Kyle Hamilton used his predator camouflage. You ever see the movie Predator? The way he just disappears. That must have been what Kyle Hamilton did
Starting point is 00:08:23 because Tua threw him through the ball right fucking at him. And it was like he was almost surprised to get the football. So that's how the game ended. And I really do want to take things from the Baltimore side, but everybody's going to want to hear like, Chris, what about your Falcons? Because they are my Falcons now. I own them.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Can't shake to him, man. I still think, I do think they're a tough out, but there were some things in there. this game listen it starts with when you end drives and field goals in the second half like you're not going to beat a good football team like that and snoop huntley's been that that dude in these spots um jake matthews drop is kind of a thing that you know when it happens you're like oh fuck ha ha ha oh lineman drops a ball in the end zone like you can't really blame him that's not his job i know i got it i i know coach what are you going to say it's his it's his job to catch the football
Starting point is 00:09:18 They got to execute that play. I know. It's open. It works. It's perfect. I don't know if it's the quarterback. I agree. Like it's not a wide receiver, but still.
Starting point is 00:09:26 But it's kind of like either way. It's like a kicker missing a fake field goal pass that's wide open. And you're like, damn, dude, like that's not really his job. And you got Bajon Robinson. I know they're having a hard time running the football. But like it's second down. But there's no other play in that playbook that's going to come open as that open as that. No.
Starting point is 00:09:44 You know what I mean? For anyone else. Because people don't cover offensive line. Exactly. Yeah. And so I, listen. And it sucks because you know how it is in practice. They've practiced that probably 30 times since camp. And he's probably caught it every 30 times. Like every time he's probably caught it. And they've been waiting to do it for this game. And then the magnitude of the drop. That's the, it is. Because at that point in the game, if you can, if you can score that touchdown, I think you put them away. But you don't. And then you have more opportunities. You can't finish drives. And that's what happens. And so I want to say two things with Michael Pennix. Actually, three. things. Number one, injuries really scare me. That's nothing new. I mean, like, you know, when Callais Campbell fell into his legs, I think everybody collectively, like, lost their breath for a second. The injuries scare me. And his overall mobility is bad. Like, I'll just, and I don't know
Starting point is 00:10:36 if that's ever better. You know, like, the last two weeks, it's been fun to watch. The Packers aren't the best pass rush unit. What they, would they do lastly? The Saints aren't the best pass rush unit you know the Ravens actually and I'll talk about the young guys that stepped up in this game but they actually got pressure on him and they brought pressure and to me they the I think mentor looked at this game and said hey I want to see him move off the spot which he can't and so you know you look at one of 16 when pressured on the season only uh only quarterback uh qualified under 30 percent uh success rate or whatever one of 16 passing or something like just terrible I like just really bad and so I think his mobility
Starting point is 00:11:24 his ability and makes plays off script I mean that showed up in some spots less like there was like a third and seven where pretty much any other quarterback is going to eat that grass up and and pick up the first down and he just can't do it and I guess here's my here's my analogy with with Michael Penix and you're going to have to bear with me I know there's some women that listen to this show and they might be like, well, this is, this is childish. But I'm gonna, it's, if you're comparing Michael Penix to, um, to a lady, he does a lot of hot, hot lady stuff, like the big deep balls, the, the, the, the big outbreakers that he rips and the balls just zipping out there and he's got this big arm and
Starting point is 00:12:11 at times with a clean pocket, he looks like a six foot one dime piece. but then with a little pressure, I need you to be the girl next door. I need you a little cuter, a little less hot, a little bit cuter with a free runner in your face and a dump down to Werner or whoever it is that can go over.
Starting point is 00:12:32 The fourth and two, the third and five with 240 to go. Like, there were some blitzes early in the game where like you got to get cuter. Like, and I know it sounds funny, but like that's the best way I can describe it. Like, I just,
Starting point is 00:12:46 I need you, I need a little bit more Brock Purdy in your game, like, which I don't think he has it, you know, and, um, and,
Starting point is 00:12:55 and yeah, so I, I could sit around all, all year and wait for him to be the girl next door, but I don't know that he can be that, you know, like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:13:01 I need you to have a cute smile on third and three. When there's a free runner in your face. Like, you got to be both. You got to be hot and cute at times. And to me, like, there are times where he's not cute enough on,
Starting point is 00:13:15 on, on the money downs, dude. And so I'm looking at Michael Penningson. I'm just like... So do you think he can adjust? Like maybe like putting that, that, oh, I can rely on scrambling or using my legs, putting that in the past and being a guy that he learns how to navigate in the pocket or... His legs are too stiff.
Starting point is 00:13:35 And I'm not being like, this is a low-hanging fruit. And I'm not trying to like dump on Pennix because I think that he can still win this team games this year. And I think like they're still a tough out. Like, and maybe he is the quarterback in the future for them. But I see things off script that are concerning to me. And it's not just like inaccuracy, but it's like having trouble even planting and getting the ball off in some situation.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I hate the way that he can't even slide correctly. Like right now, if you watch that, you can tell that like he's kind of, he's not confident. It doesn't look like he's confident and even like when he's running the couple of yards and doing the right thing getting down. It's even awkward the way he's trying to get down right now. And I'm like, that even looks like it's fucking hurting you
Starting point is 00:14:15 just to do that and that's never good and somebody listening might say well Jared Goff he's you know he's he's just hot but he's not cute right they might say that but like the difference you know and drawing a comparison between the mobility the difference with him is he's lethal in the middle of the field middle of the field which is off the table and you know i remember a couple years ago with pennix that the gripe we had was he he peppers the the hashes and outside the hashes right inside the hashes. He was throwing some nice fucking balls last. And he does.
Starting point is 00:14:47 That's the point. Like there's a sequence. There's sequences where they're third and 10, third and 15, third and 12. If they get the protection right, and there were some of those situations where you're like,
Starting point is 00:14:58 damn, you can really see it with this team. They're close. They really are. And the defense got the ball run up their ass. So I want to give the, I want to give the, I want to give the Ravens credit because they came in and said,
Starting point is 00:15:12 hey, we're not going to let Bejohn Robinson and run all over us. Like, I think the Falcons ran into a bunch of seven-man boxes and had a low success rate doing it. It was clear on the field watching it. And, you know, I think when you run for 208, it allows a guy like Snoop Huntley, who's a legend to me, like, in these spots. He's one of my favorite, well, we're talking about, like, it's a sitcom.
Starting point is 00:15:37 He's one of my favorite, like, supporting characters in this Ravens timeline. And he's popped up on other teams and he's engineered comebacks. I mean, the end of the game, they can't run the ball. I mean, they got to hurry up and get down the field, and he's doing everything he can with his legs and his arm. They start that drive first in 20, and he finds a way to get him points in the two-minute drill. And they get the two-point conversion. Just, I mean, just nails. I saw him, you know, like they blitzed him.
Starting point is 00:16:08 He found the hot. You know, he made plays off script. he is a really sharp kid and I don't want to call him a kid anymore because he's a grown man but uh snoop huntley to me is an incredibly valuable backup and somebody I think deserves a lot of credit and respect uh you know
Starting point is 00:16:26 the gap scheme runs that they got out on the edge they made those guys tackle on the edge and you know they picked on the replacement corner in a key spot they picked on hues and so I thought this was was a really good game uh 31 rushing yards from a coordinator who has called place for an offense that's had a million penalties. And they didn't show up in the big spots last night as far as the yellow flags were concerned.
Starting point is 00:16:52 So I want to talk about the defense real quick. The defensive youth for the Ravens. You know, Trey Hendrickson is not a factor in this game. He's not out there, right? So you've got to lean on guys like Mike Green and Tavius Robinson. I mean, I thought these guys were awesome. and Mike Green has turned into a really good football player, wins on a chop club. He sets a great edge at one point on Matthews, and he's knocking him four yards back in the backfield.
Starting point is 00:17:19 I thought he was awesome. And Tavius Robinson, obviously, the big hit that ends Pennix's night. They got pits on him. Robinson's scanning over to help pits, and he trips on Lindstrom, and that's how he gets loose. But, you know, big hit that changed the whole thing. And I want to shout out Malachi Starks. He was really great last night. the tackling, the tackling in the red zone, chasing down Bijon inside the five, keeps that
Starting point is 00:17:45 drive to a field goal. These are like the little plays that changed the entire game. And I thought he was screaming downhill in the box to make plays last night. So a great performance from him and Jones and Matabike were dominant up front. I mean, you talk about playing a really good pairing of guards. Those guys came to play and they're just massive. Well, Jones is massive, but Matabike is just a really crafty player and he's got a lot of play strength. So I thought they did a great job. This was, they showed me something defensively. You know, I'm complaining about penics and the whole thing, but that's a, that's a dangerous group. It really is. And they did a good job going on the road with a backup quarterback in a loud environment. They wanted to play that game from
Starting point is 00:18:29 out in front. They had a great first drive. They didn't get to punch it in. They survived the, you know, the play where the roof goes off the building when Sidney Brown punches the ball out and they take it back for six. They took the first punch and kept going. So this was a big win for the Ravens. And I love it. Confidence for a team, just knowing that, hey, you guys have your starting quarterback,
Starting point is 00:18:53 but if we do need our backup to step up and any time, you guys feel confident would have win like that for sure right now. I mean, he's done it before for them, but just being in that locker room, this year being in the moment, new coach. That has to just feel good. The backups this year have been crushing,
Starting point is 00:19:11 unless it's been the Bears' quarterbacks the last couple weeks. But this was a hell of a game, and I've lost a lot of sleep because of Sunday night football. I know, you know, Mike Tariko and Chris are tired when they get done with these things. It's three overtime games so far this year on Sunday night football. Just when we think it's over every Sunday, it's not.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Roger Goodell is cooking with the script this year. The script. The script is Sunday night football, Thursday night football. You can't take your eyes away. Careful saying script, though. Some people really think there's a script. They really think, hey. I mean, you got 9 a.m.
Starting point is 00:19:46 You can't take your eyes off the game. By the time that game's over, you're like, what the hell? The other games already freaking started. Wire to wire, bro. The first game ends the way it ended. What's that? Hold that up. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I'm over. I'm overstimulated, though. I'm overstimulated. That's how I feel. Okay, so we're talking about 2-5-0-10. I think San Francisco is obviously the headliner. They look like right now, the way they're playing right now,
Starting point is 00:20:11 the dust team in the league, the way they're playing right now. No, this is a physical game, both sides, both defenses. Very physical. Like, watching this game. Yeah. Like, I know we always talk about and we glaze Houston's defense
Starting point is 00:20:24 about how they play physical, but if you watch this game, there's some games as a retired guy that I watch and, like, just hit after hit. Yeah. You're just like, holy shit. And I'm like, I'm actually like impressed at how guys just on like a play-by-play basis, like these collisions just hop up and they just do it again.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Fred Warner is just doing it, doing that play after play and hopping up with energy. How about the guys he's hitting just for them getting up? I mean, like you bring up Fred Warner. This is a very evenly match football game, 17 yards difference in offense. 13 yards difference in passing offense, 5 yards difference in rushing, 14 first downs a piece. They're both about 33% on third down. Time possession, separated by two minutes. The bottom line is the Hawks turned it over once more and they blew the middle eight.
Starting point is 00:21:21 And I talk about the middle eight a lot on this show. And, you know, I don't want to boil it down to just, hey, they got a better quarterback right now, but Purdy's playing better. And they turned the ball over. We said coming in, like, I watched that run. tape last year and I thought San Francisco would be better suited to not run the ball into teeth this defense constantly. There were guys winning on the edge on inside runs that made it like impossible to operate for, I mean, DeMarcus Lawrence wrecked that game, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:51 those games last year, especially that first one when and now Kittle is back in the lineup for this game in its entirety, which they only had I think once last year out of the three times they played. They had Kittle the whole time. It's really to me not just about the turnovers, because that was the story of the game, but it's also about like, because both teams scored on short fields and had, you know, opportunities.
Starting point is 00:22:15 To me, it's about the guys that weren't in these games last year. And the first one is Mike Evans, okay? The other one is Fred Warner, okay? And so, you know, like these guys changed the math in this matchup immensely. And like you go from last year where it's like, San Francisco is not gonna be able to run the football. this year they don't have to just run the football they threw more on first down they they
Starting point is 00:22:38 attacked the matchups we said they were going to attack you know i think it's easy to say hey just get the ball to mike evans but like seattle in a game like this i know that woolen's not the guy you wanted going forward and like they're probably better off without him and all that but like in this matchup i don't know if they are because jove gives up a lot of size to mike evans and so to spoon if you end up in that matchup but like a lot of these balls that purdy through to mike was just giving him a chance. And the other thing that happened in last year's games that we picked up on was they bottled purdy up so the explosives didn't come late in downs. Like he wasn't breaking the pocket and ripping off explosives immediately on third and seven, he hits Kittle for an explosive
Starting point is 00:23:20 after a scramble and Kittle drops it. And then there's a third down down in the red zone where Mike Evans, I mean, this throw was incredible on the run down by the left pylon. It was just so clearly, and not to forget Debo Samuel, it was so clearly a different matchup from the jump. And, you know, I thought the double teams got some movement in the run game, but they didn't pound the ball all day. You know, Christian McCaffrey went from like six yards of pop, but they didn't make it like, it felt like last year you said,
Starting point is 00:23:50 oh, we got to run the football. Well, this year it's like, okay, we got a quarterback who's playing like an MVP, and we're going to trust him, we're going to trust the passing offense. So I just thought like the scrambles, the Mike Evan effect, the shift in the way you think about things in this matchup. And Brock Purdy did MVP things when Darnel didn't. Like Darnel has not played well so far this year. I'm not saying that like it's a long run. You know, all over. Yeah. And some of those turnovers, the turnovers in the Washington game are not all on him. But in this big game. And there were games
Starting point is 00:24:24 last year where he threw three picks and they found a way to win a Super Bowl. But, you know, it does. And he just won the big one. And nobody's talking about. Like he, you know, he shouldn't be out there or anything like that. But he can be a problem in these games. And they are set up so well as a team. He's got to take care of the football. I mean, like, I think with Darnold, a lot of his mistakes, and he knows it come underneath, right?
Starting point is 00:24:49 Like, Layton Downs where he tries to force something into an underneath window on a checkdown or a quick game thing. And I think in this game, like, you watched him and seeing Fred Warner in the middle of the field just changes things completely. At times, he looked tentative. you know he threw a couple picks but again like i don't understand for the life of me and tom brady said it why before the half you're in this dog fight and you're backed up niners have three timeouts fine how about like iso or like hb plunge like you know quick base something like that now we're
Starting point is 00:25:22 running outside zone and your center's getting mushed into the running back who drops the football and so the the half ends with points and then you come out of the half and you throw a pick so like you want to get on tom brady's bad side don't handle the football right he was so he seems so upset and angry during that game after that happened and that like poor ball handling yeah or not having ball security just as like an ex-quarterback it was interesting like just hearing him speak and the way him speak about it just being like yo he's he's actually up there fuming right now that this is going on. And it's just a simple, fundamental thing
Starting point is 00:26:04 that guys, you maybe sometime forget in the heat of the moment, but such a big pivotal part of this game, obviously, for them. And they just have to take care of the ball, and I feel like that that would help them out like a little bit more because, I mean, they're still competitive and they're still...
Starting point is 00:26:20 The Hawks are going to be really good. They're a great team. This felt like a freaking divisional... This felt like the NFL championship or something like that. And it was billed as being such. And like a question I would ask most analysts. or like in the NFC, are you taking the NFC west or the field?
Starting point is 00:26:33 And I think for like a lot of people and a lot of buildings that are thinking about making moves and going for it. And the NFC, I really do think like if you're not one of these three teams, it's going to be hard. You know, you might look at things and say, well, I don't know if this is our year. Like can we really beat Seattle and Seattle? Can we really beat San Francisco? Can we really beat the Rams when they're at full strength? These three teams are going to be really good by the end of the season in their own way. And so I got to give the Niners defense credit, though, because you talk about things that, like, didn't show up last year.
Starting point is 00:27:04 Like, the Niners defense, I think Rahim Morris done a great job. They also won the battle up front. And I do think the Seahawks offense is bound to come down to Earth a little bit relative to last year because you don't have Kenneth Walker, who was big in these matchups. But also, you know, you're down Bradford right now. But I just didn't think the offensive line was, like, as good as they performed last year. I kind of thought they played better than what they are. And I think at some point this year, you're going to have to contend with the fact that maybe they're not as good as you thought they were last year.
Starting point is 00:27:36 So, you know, like the guys up front won for San Francisco. I mean, you know, this guy, Grayson Halton, ended up being one of the most important players in the game. You know, him and a diggyzua shut the door in plus territory with back-to-back sacks. He caused the big play before the half. You know, you got to shout guys like Mustafa out coming downhill like a missile. But I think when you look at the, this matchup and you say okay what's going to change the next time they play when nick bose is going to be back
Starting point is 00:28:02 you know and you don't expect you don't expect json to drop the ball and i feel bad for him because that's just something this is the last thing you ever expect to happen and they were so close which is just again like evidence that in a game where per or a darnal throws a couple picks and you you don't take care of the football you still have a chance to win it at the end against the best team in football right now right and so seattle shouldn't be discouraged but these are real things, you know? And I also think like Sam on the on the on the the fourth intended to to cup has to hit cup as soon as his back foot hits the back of his drop.
Starting point is 00:28:41 He's a little late, you know, so there's a lot that the the Seahawks could do better. There's a lot of good things that came out of the game for the Seahawks that Byron Murphy's unblockable. And Pritchett played great. You know, you're going to watch the tape if you're a Seahawks fan and say, hey, like listen, and we just got to take care of the football. These teams will play again and again. Hey, before we move on from the game,
Starting point is 00:29:05 I just want to say, all-time troll job by Mike Evans. Classic. On trade gigs. Oh my goodness. But he explained it afterwards. Say he really didn't know who it was. And I don't, Mike Evans is a pretty straight up guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:24 He was like, no, I got to be honest. Like, he was talking shit to me. and like I really didn't know who he was. No, that's even better. No, I know, no, no, like to do it, to do it like stone face. Yes. And I turned him around and I said, oh my God, that's Diggs because I remember him. And he goes, he was a good player.
Starting point is 00:29:40 He didn't say like, was. Yeah. But he kind of, he was like, he used to be a good player, you know. And so I, you know, I just was a little bit caught off guard by that. But it's also funny to think that like, is it possible he doesn't know that Diggs is on the team? Like, it's absolutely positive. Like, I feel like a lot of people don't know. Diggs just went from, he was what, on the, I forget where.
Starting point is 00:30:00 He's been bouncing around. He's been bouncing around since he's been on the Cowboys, right? Like, so it's just in the moment in the game he was having, it just was so great. And like, I just feel like it's an all-time meme now. But also, like, what a game. What a start to his, that little rivalry for him the first time him, Mike Evans getting to play in the Seattle. He was the guy. He was the guy.
Starting point is 00:30:26 and it's kind of showing putting them on notice that, hey, like, you guys got to come through Seattle. Like, this isn't the old San Fran. Like, I'm here now. You guys have to worry about me. It's not going to be the same old. Whoever comes up to Seattle is going to lose. Not when I'm on the team. Way to make a name for him.
Starting point is 00:30:46 You also have to think about, like, there were some other teams in competition for Mike Evans. And I don't think any of us really assumed he had this much still left in the tank. Oh, absolutely. You know, and I know there's some people that are going to say, of course he did. Like, you know, he's consistently had a thousand yards for it's coming off injuries. He's coming off injuries. He's older and he's going to the substation. You're just thinking like there's no way this really works out the way it could.
Starting point is 00:31:10 But you also have to think about the fact that Mike Evans minus Tom Brady. I don't know that he's ever had a quarterback as good as Purdy. I love it. And, you know, I'll put Purdy in that category right now. I know he's got everything around him, but I think consistently he's played very, very well. And when you talk about giving a guy a chance to make plays, he gives Mike Evans a chance to make plays every time he throws him the ball. Yeah, we could clap it up for the coaching staff over there because it's just always impressive, just week by week, just hearing
Starting point is 00:31:40 about all the injuries. Yeah. And it doesn't matter to them. Yeah. It doesn't matter to them. The next man up is true. It's a, they always say you're only as good as the last person on your team. And I just feel like the 49ers is a great example of a team that, like they actually like live by that. Brennan Cugs. They actually live by that. And whether and whether you're, biggest plays of the game.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Exactly. And whether you're great at recruiting guys or being in season and getting guys or you're great at developing your practice squad guys. So when it's time, when a big time player gets hurt, that you can just pop them in and not have to worry about being frantic. Whatever they're doing in that organization, they do it right because they bring in guys that fit, that work. And they don't really skip a beat and you don't hear them crying about it.
Starting point is 00:32:25 and it's something that is just, it's just impressive. And on top of it, guys like Keon White are making plays defensively, and so, like, guys that were left for dead. But it's more impressive because you see one injury, different teams, one spot, it shakes up the entire, the entire squad. Absolutely. And just to see them, like, not rattle them. They're also fortified.
Starting point is 00:32:46 They have a great play caller. I think there's nobody better. They've got a Hall of Fame left tackle. And, you know, and now they have a number one wide receiver. that on third down or in the red zone like pick your poison he's as good as anybody so you know they now adding that piece yeah just changes everything so um we're gonna see the niner's next week on monday night against the commanders um in san francisco they will be without dray green law that came out about an hour ago he was suspended one game green law's had a very emotional week man and a half
Starting point is 00:33:19 i just asked he was the guy that ran champagne off the field and then he headbutted ernest jones And they finished that game without Greenlaw and found a way to do it. So, I mean, you know, again, like more impressive. Minnesota, you know, I know that a lot of people, Minnesota is kind of like that that's all that everybody, either you believed in them before the year like I did or maybe you didn't and I wouldn't have blamed you because, you know, you're looking at the NFC North and it's stacked and the whole thing. But having a defense like this is a superpower.
Starting point is 00:33:46 And, you know, I know that, like I still, believe me, do I think they're a playoff team? I do. have I seen enough from the offense where I'm like oh yeah they're they're going to make a deep run like I haven't seen enough yet you know even after yesterday and so I think there's still more that they have to do there's competition that they haven't played that I want to see them play is a silhouette silhouette Cinderella slipper falling off for Shuck down in New Orleans no I would honestly say and it'd be one thing if they weren't asking him do a lot he's being asked to do everything You know, they don't really have a run game right now.
Starting point is 00:34:23 And he's, I wouldn't say a young player, but he's only in his second year. So I think, you know, when they've been able to keep him clean, like listen, the Vikings have held six of the last 11 quarterbacks they played under 100 yards net passing. So he's in good company. I mean, you know, and what happened last week was bad in prime time against the Falcons. But this was just a game where even in the first half, they were finding ways to move the ball. I mean, like they had one drive where they were chunking off runs. And I think, you know, B-Flow started to move the front and guys started to be a little bit stiffer in there.
Starting point is 00:34:59 It just was like one of those things where all the Vikings had to do was get the 20 points. And you kind of knew it the whole game. And the Vikings, the Vikings play with their food. They get down in the red zone. They fumble. You know, in both the fumbles, they lost in plus territory, like squirted out and landed on the ground.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Nobody saw them. So you get these big returns. And then they got a lead and they're doing throwback passes. I'm like, what are we doing? The thing hits a detackle in the face, man, like, easy. Try to be cute. They missed a tight end on a trick play that, like, would have gone for big yardage. I don't know if KOC's just putting shit on tape, but the good for me is, so I do fear
Starting point is 00:35:40 it's a boom or bust offense for the Vikings. Like, until I see more consistency, I do fear it's boom or bust. but I've seen a lot more over the last like six quarters that makes me think, hey, this could really work. And Jefferson's back. There's a way to get, just you talk about giving a guy a shot, the laser on the right side line before the half. Like Justin Jefferson laid hands, late eyes, dude.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Like he's just, that's, and throwing it into triple coverage at the pylon, you don't have to pay for it because you're like Justin's down there somewhere. So, I mean, him and Murray in the scramble drill, can be really dangerous for this team. I think the offensive line is going to have to avoid getting into some longer third downs and second down situations because when you got a quarterback that scrambles that much, it can be hard on an offensive line to kind of track him and you end up getting grabby and that sort of thing.
Starting point is 00:36:35 But so far that hasn't really been a big problem for them. I think the scramble drill stuff, if they can get that honed in, it's really scary for people. his legs on third and 11, you know, he picks one up. You know, at one point he kind of rolled left, and I think they had a spy and it's man coverage because that's the only way you want to play man coverage against the Vikings this year. That's another thing.
Starting point is 00:36:59 You've got to be careful playing man coverage because of his abilities with his legs. So kind of, you know, they are a unique team to prepare for. I mean, very unique. When you're in a building and what I was going to say, he rolls left and, And he kind of pulls the spy to him, and Dallas kind of leaks out inside the spy, hits him for a big, big gain.
Starting point is 00:37:21 So it's like little things like that. You prepare for a team like Minnesota defensively. You're worried about Kyler Murray and his legs, and you're worried about Justin Jefferson and all these guys. Then offensively, you legitimately have to, you're so stressed out, dude, the whole game. your adrenaline is is cooking the whole time you got to set protections every time you you walk up to the line you have to count you got to you got to you got to you got to count for for free runners you got to you got to make your counts you got to get the ball out quick find
Starting point is 00:37:55 your hots side adjustments whatever it is and nobody really hurts them on the verticals like you know at least so far this year it hasn't been I know Green Bay did but other than that it hasn't been a you know a thing where yesterday they didn't get killed on the explosives so really what they're doing is they're they're forcing you to speed speed up your process a whole drive and make you go three plays at a time because really that's what it is it was for new Orleans yesterday and eventually you're so stressed out you make a mistake like shuck did you know rolling out and you know just pulling the trigger trigger throwing it right to a guy where it's like i i feel like at least part of that is because you're in such a frantic mind state the entire time you play the Vikings defense.
Starting point is 00:38:41 And so they're a really tough team to prepare for. It's very unique. And I think they do a good job of rallying and tackling on defense. Like that's what they're built on is like force the checkdown. He's not going to have enough time to beat us over the top. And you get a checkdown. Everybody's got a rally and tackle. And the game almost ended that way with the Juan Johnson play where he's just short of the sticks
Starting point is 00:39:01 and guys are knifing downhill to take him out. So take care of the football. stop throwing throwback passes in a game where you just need to run out the clock effectively and you know you're going to be okay now what their ceiling looks like that to me is on it's on kailer murray and when they get back jordan mason that's going to be better because i i think erin jones is he deserves a lot of credit for what he's done so far but like to hold on to the rock well yes i think also he's a he's a crafty back with great vision and you know you saw it with him ice in the game bouncing it out for a bunch of yards
Starting point is 00:39:36 He ran over Blackman at the goal line. Like that was awesome. But you don't wanna give him the ball 25, 30 times a game every week. Not that they're talking about doing that, but I'd like to see a little bit more, well, you'll see it when Jordan Mason gets back. I'd like to see a little bit more splitting up his workload a little bit.
Starting point is 00:40:01 So yeah, I mean like the Vikings are really good, man. They're really good. They're gonna be held to prepare for. New Orleans is at some point going to be packing it in. It's just like, and they had high hopes, and I have high hopes for them, but they're just too flawed at this point in the build maybe. But again, it's only week five, and things could change. I just, without a run game, it's just going to be too tough for them.
Starting point is 00:40:25 They already lost their left tackle. I don't think the right tackles played that well. And defensively, they were without Ellis again in this game, and that's a big loss for them. So shout out to UVA UVA guy Joe Sanker with a nice little scoop and score
Starting point is 00:40:39 during the game Speaking of UVA That was a tough one I mean we won But that was a tough one And I just want to say this Like there were people booing And I used to watch
Starting point is 00:40:50 College football And I used to think Come on guys They're just kids And they are But the other day I was at a light And one of these kids
Starting point is 00:41:01 Pulled up next to me With a way nicer car than me oh one of the college kids yeah and I'm kind of at this point like yeah boo away man like you know what I'm saying like no they were kids but now they're not kids anymore oh no I see they got single family homes oh yeah like you know I might have some my neighbors might be like it might be NIL money now oh yeah for sure so I you know anyways um boo away so anyways we got uh we zone oh yeah zone read oh yeah zone read Can Nate read that while I took a pee break?
Starting point is 00:41:37 Nate can. This product, warning, this product contains nicotine. Nicotine is addictive chemical, underage sales perimeter. If you ever play sports, you know the competition gets you play play. My bad. The competition gets you pretty heated. Same goes for the all-new flavor of zone nicotine pouches, including jalapenial lime. It's like a burst of citrus meets a subtle, fiery kick.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Each pouch is premium nicotine experience with intensely in flavors that lasts. And now in six and nine milligrams, want to learn more about zone nicotine pouches? Visit zonpouches.com. And remember to join the loyalty zone for exclusive rewards and offers. You nailed it. I wasn't here, but you nailed it. I'm trying to get my vision. Small screen, so that was a good job.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Tough one. We had Nate reading on a tiny little screen. So, listen, we're going to talk about the international game now, which you can put 20 minutes on the clock. Do, oh, man. What a gutsy win. We're going to talk about it from the Eagles side. Don't worry if you're an Eagles fan. Give me a minute.
Starting point is 00:43:00 We got to give props to the Jags who played awful. No, they put. They play terrible. By their standard. They played God off. I mean, like. Liam's worst coaching game. I've never seen Liam Cohen look like that.
Starting point is 00:43:10 They try to, we try to get cute, all that shit. You got cute in the red zone. You have million flags. But I tell you, I almost, I almost blew a gasket, bro. That opening kickoff, holy fuck. Jordan Cameron, Cameron. I know. Jordan Cameron.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Josh Cameron. I'm sorry. You are the man. I love this kid. He's very, very good in all aspects of the game. I love it. I hate that. They called that touchdown back.
Starting point is 00:43:36 I hate it. It was an eight minute discussion. It was an eight minute return. And I was in the gym for the first half or whatever, or the first quarter, I was finishing some cardio. And I didn't have the sound on. And I'm like, what is going on right now? There's people being ejected.
Starting point is 00:43:53 It just, and it was any indication, the whole game was going to be like that. And there were a lot of flags in this game. And again, I thought Cohen had a rough one. I like again you talk about the two red zone the trip the trips of red zone where like I think in a game like this you have to take the points I understand but like you let philly hang around in a game like this with the defense they have I don't care if their offense does nothing in the second half which it did nothing in the second half until the end of the game you have to take those points and you take those points and then the next set of decisions are a lot easier because
Starting point is 00:44:32 then you're kicking to go up or you and you don't take the points and worse yet you go jet sweep into the worst look you could have run jet sweep into and i just liam doesn't usually make decisions like that i thought vangio had a leg up on him most of the game what were you going to say i was going to say don't let them ever tell you that long snappers aren't important because i feel like that changed his mindset and that is kind of the reason why you're thinking about if we're going for points here or not. Like you're going to feel sick to your stomach knowing like, hey, even though I've seen this guy
Starting point is 00:45:09 like short snap or whatever, I know it's kind of a liability right now. But even the one that they missed. Yeah. The snap gets down. Little's got to make the kick. You got one job. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:21 And you've got to know coming to this game. Like I understand. Like I understand the whole issue with Hamilton and the snaps. Well, with the game on the line, you were able to kick up from the logo. From the logo. And so listen, I get it. I hated the call.
Starting point is 00:45:34 You know, Strange got tackled twice at the goal line. You know, BTJ can't get his feet in. It just, it's one of those games where like, if things go differently, the way we're talking about this from an Eagles perspective is totally different as well. Yeah, I think if this game gets to 20, if they get to 24 points or something like that, or they build a lead, it's going to be a lot harder for the Eagles to come back in a game like that. And so, you know, they played the one kind of game the Eagles could have won. And they were eight seconds from it happening, and Siriani gifted them a fucking opportunity.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I'll get there. Got a cover. No question. Got a cover. No, I know. But it's not the kick. The kick is bad, okay? Especially considering.
Starting point is 00:46:20 And I kind of tend to agree. So you know what I'm saying. Tomlin said after the game, you trust your kick coverage team. I don't think if you if you're not going to bury Nick for for kicking the ball I don't think it's like the most dog shit take of all time Nick blew the game on the final possession we shouldn't even be talking about a kick and you could say and you'd be right that the Eagles were lucky to be in the game but the fact of the matter is they were and they drove the ball down with a chance to win the game part of it is because you missed an extra point And to me, one, Liam Cohen letting all that clock drain off was a little bit suspicious. But Nick was like, I don't want to win it either. Like, first, we're going to throw the ball out of bounds. So we're going to, we're going to, you got two timeouts.
Starting point is 00:47:21 You could have took them to the brink and kicked it with no time left on the clock. You kick the, you throw the ball out of bounds. second down you throw it out to to uh to lemon lemon does not get down and i don't know if he's not being told that in the huddle or he's not being reminded we see end-of-game situations every week now it feels like man i walked in yesterday watching games i'm like maybe i should be a fucking head coach in the nfl because it doesn't seem that hard man what some of the things that they fuck up so you get lemon out of bounds and then you take a tFL on third down and and so they take the time out and you got eight seconds left. What happens on the kickoff should never have mattered? That's kind of my
Starting point is 00:48:02 point. Like, we can kind of get into, should he cover a kick. No, but everyone's yelling at him saying that he should have kicked it out. And I'm like, pick your evil. It's just like you get the ball at the 35, right? Well, you kick it. Okay, so here's, and here's a thing with kicking it out. You kick it out. It's 35. You play cover three. You play like Mabel or something. We still only need 15 to 20 yard pass. No, I know. But, but if you guard the sidelines, you don't have a time out. Yeah, and so like, if I was going to kick it. But what's harder at that? I know that in Rio.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Giving up a 50-yard return. Like, again, we shouldn't even be talking about it. That's the point. Yeah. In Rio, it was the other way where it was like, okay, Baltimore has one time out. They have a kicker and can hit from probably 58 yards, 60 yards. And he did. And Baltimore burnt you on an inbreaker in the middle of the field versus man coverage,
Starting point is 00:48:53 and they took the time out. Eagles or the Jags didn't have a timeout. So like I understand like if somebody would have said, hey, kick it out about or kick it out of the back of the end zone. I said, okay, fine. I didn't like the way the kick looked. I didn't like the way, you know, like the first kickoff return went for the Jags kick coverage.
Starting point is 00:49:12 So in that situation, maybe you should know. But it has not like to me, the entire game is lost offensively when you decide not to make Jacksonville, take their timeouts and run it down to nothing. have to have fucking confidence in your kicker with no time left on the clock to make that kick and i don't know how he was thinking about it these are things that are inexcusable to me and so like from the eagle standpoint um you know and i'll get there in a minute nick seriani lost in this game you know
Starting point is 00:49:44 there there were some other things that could have happened or didn't happen but nick is to blame for the end of this game okay i want to say this about ask like he's not an offense or defensive guy he's just kind of like he's a walk-around coach he's the coach he's like he's a walk-around coach yeah you're game management and you better be really good at game management this is your time like this is your time to shine or game management it's not an offensive thing or defensive thing it's a it's a game management thing and you would think that it would go a little bit better okay well i'll stay here then and there's there's people asking for his head.
Starting point is 00:50:26 And I think that's fair. It's fair to be asking for a coach's head. Hot seat is normal. It's fair to be saying, hey, the head coach is on the hot seat. There's also some people who are going to say he won a Super Bowl. How much time does he get
Starting point is 00:50:43 for winning a Super Bowl? I think it's a central theme. Or it's like, do you get like a lifetime pass for winning a Super Bowl? Like, this is a new year. That Super Bowl wasn't, last year. How many years do you think it buys you theoretically? I think it buys you a year. Just one year. I think it buys you a year, dude, especially if you're a walk-around coach.
Starting point is 00:51:05 And like, you know, if the team continues to make mistakes the way it does and like crunch time or this type of thing is unforgivable. And I'm not saying they need to fire him tomorrow. I think this is a proving, the rest of the season is a proving ground for a lot of people and I've talked about it. Nick is definitely in prove-it mode. And I just, to me, that, That is unforgivable. Like when I play Madden, I hate to keep coming back to this, I don't make that mistake.
Starting point is 00:51:31 What do you have going on at the end of the game that you can't focus in on the clock? And so that to me was really bad. Okay, now you want to talk. Blame it on travel and time change. Blame it on something, but that to me was brutal. I feel like all the coaches on both sides,
Starting point is 00:51:47 their brains were fog. They're over there in London, eating fucking God knows what, living it up, living it up. Cohen, you know why Cohen's looking ahead to the Texans. I think the Jags team's looking ahead to the Texans. Okay, but here's the deal.
Starting point is 00:52:03 When you talk about the Eagles, I said this last week, and I said what I said about what I think is an aggregate of Jalen Hurst's play since 2025 started, and I stand on that. Like, I don't think the passing game's been anywhere near good enough, and I do think this is a proving ground for the passing game going forward this year. And yesterday, though, and I said this last year, last week was never gonna be on the quarterback unless he throws a pick on the final play the game.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Like and I know there's people that heard my take and they're like, oh man, I feel heard now. I feel I've been holding this in and you said it. And so now like I want you to just dog the quarterback every chance you get. I'm not gonna do that coming out of this game. We said coming in the magic number would be 17 or 20. Yeah, if your defense performs like it can
Starting point is 00:52:52 and it did for the most part, you can win that game 20 to 17 or you know whatever it ended up being they didn't do that jalen got him in position to win the game at the end of the game that to me is like i'm not going to move the goal post okay like my whole thing with this with this passing off and especially on sunday it was going to be really hard and all you had to do was keep it in in in uh a one possession kind of mode. And if you do that, then teams get tight and you can beat them. Two-minute drill. You see it every week. You know, quarterbacks drive their team down to kick a field goal or tie it at the end the regulator or win it. And I thought, like, if you're looking at the passing offense with all
Starting point is 00:53:35 the ills that we've seen, this doesn't mean that they have, they've checked the consistency box, but I saw some good things. The consistency box is going to be everything. Because we've seen this passing offense explode one week and then three weeks. hibernate or have a good quarter have a good half take an entire half off so don't tell me even as bad as things were yesterday that they can't win outside or they can't win in the passing game because in the second quarter for about a 20 minute span at the end of the first quarter and the second quarter that that was great like everybody got excited about Tennessee that ugly no everything got every everybody got excited about Tennessee this considering the the opponent and we said coming in you can
Starting point is 00:54:19 get chunks on these guys. They're not like the steel curtain defense, but they're good defense. They were, they were winning in the middle of field. Like, I saw play action under center. I saw my favorite throw of the day was the one to lemon on play action. You know, hit wicks for a big outbreak or like, you know, you certainly saw some spacing concepts, but like, what do you want them to do? Like in this game, the time to pressure was going to be quick. I'll say this too. Like if you're an Eagles fan, let's say they kick the ball off and you tackle the fucking ball carrier and there's a Hail Mary incomplete. You win the game. You probably kill the coach over it, right?
Starting point is 00:55:00 Like the fact that we even had to field that kick or cover that kick. You kill the coach over the fact that it's the same old thing. But you talk about how gutsy a performance it was. You're down Smitty. You're down Sequin. You're down Lane Johnson retires. You know, like you've got all these new pieces. is Willie Lampkins playing guard,
Starting point is 00:55:18 and you found a way to beat one of the better teams in the league in London, in a back against the wall spot. To me, there's talk about punting on the season. Like it's like you can't win with this team. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy, but you just proved you can. And you took an entire second half off offensively. And to me, this defense is a player away.
Starting point is 00:55:46 In the past, Howie Roseman would be making a move. He's made moves every year. You know, maybe you go get a safety. I don't love linebacker, too, but I think safety's a bigger problem, right? So, like, maybe you make a move on defense. And if the magic number for your offense weekend and week out is 20, 22 points, like, when you get Smitty back, Goddard's back, Cooper is a good player in the end of, I mean, like, listen, he torched Buster Brown there. I mean, like, he can beat NFL corners
Starting point is 00:56:18 and man coverage. I mean, he's got speed. People are comparing him to AJ Brown, Julio Jones. I mean, maybe a little bit rich, but, like, he's a good player. Wicks is a good man separator. I think Lemon's going to be fine.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Yeah. The offensive line's going to be the problem, right? And so, you know, what is it going to take for them to be competitive? Like, this game against the Panthers, I came in this week talking about the Jags game. I said, they're not going to win this game.
Starting point is 00:56:42 If they win this game, I'll be shocked. And they almost won it. They can beat the Panthers. They can beat the Panthers. Panthers have two corners down. Here's the thing you got to bank on. Drew Kendall's got to be able to play guard,
Starting point is 00:56:56 and Lampkins's got to be able to play center. And, you know, I look at the Blitz stuff. That to me is the Achilles heel of this team right now. Because honestly, when you look at the four-man rush numbers on time to pressure, and I'm not saying it's good, weeks one through three, they're probably an average team. time to pressure. The last two weeks has been bottom 10. You know, whether there's eight or, you know, eighth from the bottom, seventh from the bottom, they can improve these things. You know,
Starting point is 00:57:27 I didn't think they had a shot at building a clean pocket. And at times the pocket was okay yesterday. And I thought Jalen did a good job when the pocket was clean. And when the pocket was clean, he got the ball out faster than almost he ever has. So like to me, that's music to my ears. Like the timing of this offense has to improve in this era. of Eagles football. The run game will get better when Seekwon gets back. I don't think Damian Pierce has any vision at all. Shipley gets hurt yesterday. Tank Biggs, he's a good back. He'll be back eventually. Saquan, Sequan, Saquan. You got to be able to find a way to hit that magic number week in and week out. If it's 20, if it's 23, like I think they have enough to do that.
Starting point is 00:58:08 And that's where the pressure is on the offense a little bit. But that's the way it is. like you have to decide whether or not you want to punt on this season and and I objectively don't think any other organization will be thumb in their nose at a chance to win a shitty nfc east you know what I'm saying so like we're about to talk about the way that the cowboys played Thursday night I think in a vacuum most teams are like hey we can win this division and and honestly I said two weeks ago after the Bears game I was kind of disgusted with the they looked especially because you see what I'm saying about the Bears defense yeah okay I said they look like a nine win team nine win nine wins could do it in this division 10 could do it in
Starting point is 00:58:54 this division so I think how he's got to decide like do we have enough to make a move or two to go get a tackle you know that that can just hold it down at right tackle while this bell kid you know grows up there's probably a faction the fan base that says just blow it up and and I understand but the player in me is always like there's a chance there you know like there's a chance you want something to play for you want something you want to be able to come in and and feel like you're fighting for something it's starting to get scary in a lot of locker rooms right now we talk about it like during the years on the show here but for people don't realize it for some of the vets when you're in locker rooms right now and these vets that are on owing four five teams and one in four teams
Starting point is 00:59:42 and two and three teams, you start looking at stuff division-wise, like, damn, do we even fucking have a chance for anything? And once you start thinking like that, that little bit of negativity, that shit can start spreading, and it just makes things a lot worse if it doesn't start going your way
Starting point is 01:00:01 because you start thinking about maybe a way out, hey, maybe I'm going to get traded. Maybe I get traded to a playoff team or maybe something will happen. But if there's no saving you, For some of the guys, if you're a big time draft pick, you know, you're not going anywhere. It's on you to kind of do what you want with that.
Starting point is 01:00:19 But like you said, it's a shitty situation if the organization is maybe going a different way than what you're meant to be. You're out there busting your ass. If you're on a team where they're selling and like you're, it's not like the NBA where if your team's tanking like you're playing pickup basketball every night and stand at the wrist Carlton and you're playing poker or Buree for like $50,000 hands like this is a tougher job like this is this is taking years off your life and as somebody who spent the almost the entirety of my career on teams that were out of it by Halloween like that takes the toll on your mental and it takes the toll on your body and uh and so guys don't want to just be out there
Starting point is 01:01:00 doing cardio again I can't blame that loss on the QB like on paper 21 of 40 for 220 looks kind of uneven and it was at times but in the second half there were bad snaps You know, I thought they got away with one on the safety. I think, you know, like, it's a bad snap, but, you know, there's nobody in sight. So, like, there's little things like the screen backed up where you're not blocking it upright or lemon's not releasing properly. Where, you know, there's head scratchers. There's sometimes, sure, I could nitpick there's a ball that needs to be hot or a little bit lower yesterday or something like on an endbreaker. But I didn't think, I didn't think he, you know, especially when you take the second quarter into it.
Starting point is 01:01:40 there was some good in there okay now is there a lot to prove i said this two weeks ago and i stand on it like i think i think there's there's something to prove as it pertains to the future of the eagles there's there's jalen hurst doesn't have to prove any set joiners right about one thing and and i and i love set and you know he was i saw him this week talking about you know lumping me in with a sentiment among the fans and this is where i could use better words Nothing that Jalen Hertz has done, you can take away. Like, that's the way football works. He's a Super Bowl champion.
Starting point is 01:02:18 I've stroked him as a winner for years. I think that what everybody needs to see is that the passing offense can be more decisive and that it can be more efficient and consistent. And some of this is on the scheme, but some of it is on the players too. And, you know, when you take a whole half off as an offense, there has to be answers. even in that game. And so I think this week's going to be a great opportunity because they don't have the guys up front, Carolina,
Starting point is 01:02:46 to make your day a living hell, although they might get Wharton back, you know, and Derek Brown's a stud. But I don't think, I think you can survive, and I think you can win your matchups outside. If Smitty comes back, and I don't know what the deal is with that, I think you win your matchups outside. And hopefully you can run the football a little bit better
Starting point is 01:03:05 because Jacksonville is a really good run defense. So as bad as things were yesterday, there is a chance for this offense to be playable and they got to go out and prove it that's my two cents on it um and things before yeah yeah yeah i just want to say jalen carter just want to shout him out fucking unreal game for him just game record i was yeah i'm trying yeah i'm hoping to get there yeah game wrecker and i don't know like i do i mean you guys watch the eagles probably like way closer, obviously, than I do. And it's just, is it like
Starting point is 01:03:39 an on and off switch with him? So this is what I, I tweeted this yesterday. I was like, it seems to me like, it seems to me like sometimes he decides when he wants to take a game over. And I can't relate.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Like, I gotta tell you, every Sunday I ever played, I was trying to take a game over so hard. Like, you know, like, just gritting my teeth, you know, like, Try trying to make plays. Uh-huh. And you see a guy like that, and I know the hand's been fucked up,
Starting point is 01:04:10 but, like, he single-handedly took that game over. I was... Like, the strip sack he got... Two. Well, the first one. He's tripping over the tackle as he's going to the ground with his offhand. He's just a grizzly bear. Go watch...
Starting point is 01:04:27 Go watch the goal line stand. Oh, my God. Where he gets doubled. I don't... I've never seen a guy split a double like that. Like, Like everybody else has to pick a guy or go near shoulder near knee like Byer Murphy or, you know, backers got to come down and take.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Dude, he fucking just put his shoulder into, I think it was Harrison. I love it. And he split the double. Like Harrison goes backwards. The guards are like, well, he's not here anymore. I just, he's a fucking grizzly bear. And if they can get him to play like that all the time, it's impossible to, to, to, they have. three really good tackles inside.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Yeah. If they get Gronar back, that'll help. Jordan D. Nolan, the whole thing, like they got the players to do it defensively. It might need to make a move. The thing I wanted to say, and honestly, you're the one getting me on this Eagles tangent, but Jags fans are gonna be pissed
Starting point is 01:05:22 because I haven't talked about this yet. Yeah, say it. Parker Washington is, Parker Washington. Beep, beep, beep, beep. That's the brink truck. Yeah. That they're gonna have to fill up. They're gonna have actually, beep, beep,
Starting point is 01:05:34 that's the second one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's coming. And if he keeps playing this way, it's going to be, beep, beep, going to have a couple more. I just think, I think he's a perfect example of, like, you look at some of these young Eagles receivers like a Cooper or something like that. And, you know, if you're looking for hope, like, that, you know, you can,
Starting point is 01:05:52 you can develop a guy. He's a six-round pick. You know, he spent two years, like, not being a big part of it. Last year turns into a stud, like, you know, a stud. And the plays yesterday, perfect. I don't know if people are going to put him in a category of like Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, all these guys like the Pookas of the world. But but and I know some guys that do their work in the middle of the field can get docked. The catch point skills on that touchdown,
Starting point is 01:06:21 coupled with the yak on the other touchdown, coupled with the fact that he's such a smart player when he caught that punt and took seven seconds and ran it down to the two minute warning now. I ended up because fucking Jacksonville's throwing the ball, like getting balls batted down. But I just, he is such a great player. So smart. And he's so smart. And he's just so lucky to have him.
Starting point is 01:06:47 That was the good. The bad for me, what Jacksonville was, I wouldn't impress with the corners. I really wasn't. And honestly, I wouldn't impress with the pass rush. Like, for them to not be able to just ruin that game with four-man rush, to me is a little bit of a red flag. They had to bring a lot of pressure. The corners, to me, kind of got eaten up in some spots.
Starting point is 01:07:12 That's got to improve. And I know the Jags would probably... I think also, too, I think if... The safety play is not great. It might have helped y'all having that shuffle up front. Maybe I'm gonna say... I don't know about that. We look at that as like, oh, there's fresh fish on the line.
Starting point is 01:07:28 But at the same time, you're just like, you don't know tendencies, you don't know where... you're going again. There's a lot of new guys in there. But no, I hear, I'm just trying to play devil's advocate, but they definitely. And I want to qualify something. When we were talking about time to pressure earlier,
Starting point is 01:07:41 I should have said this, we sorted for time to pressure without the blitz. Because when you look at the Eagles, the non-negotiable is the blitz stuff has to improve. But when you look at like, can this offense operate, if we get an answer for the blitz, which to me,
Starting point is 01:08:00 almost any team has to walk into a game and have answers for the blitz. It's like this has been a problem for the Eagles for a while, right? The four-man rush, it hasn't been, it hasn't been unplayable up front for these guys, as bad as it was. You have to figure out how to get answers for the Blitz. A reshuffle here, maybe a trade at the deadline. You could actually have a, I don't want to say league average offensive line because it'd be a tough sell for people.
Starting point is 01:08:27 But like, you're not as far off as you think. it's a lot to have to pivot in the third week of the season fourth of the week of season when your best offensive line retires and you know it's a lot to pivot when Cam Juergens is is traded but I think they can get better as a result
Starting point is 01:08:45 of that trade I don't know if Landon Dickerson's going to be back and be a dude but like you know my point is this the offensive line bad offensive lines can be worked around bad blitz protection cannot be worked around okay so to me a lot
Starting point is 01:09:01 lot of it's making the counts, setting the protections, having hot answers. There's moments in the game where the blitz is coming and Jalen's not looking at a hot and the hot's not looking at him. You know, so I'm like, are we even putting it in? Are we talking about it? It's a top-down problem. And this is just more crazy shit here. This is from Anthony Dubundo. There are 862 total NFL's second half offenses since 2000, weeks one to five only. The 2026 Eagles second half offense ranks
Starting point is 01:09:36 861 in success rate and 845th in EPA per play. At some point I got to know what's going on. I got to know what's going on at some point. I know everybody probably has an answer in their head but like I'm open minded. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:09:54 So yeah, this was a big win for the Jags. Gutsy win. Just a terrible meltdown for Siriani and the Eagles. Best part of the win is when you win a game like that, that you should have lost, it'll be a great week for the coaches to actually coach. And there's a lot of things to clean up for the Jags,
Starting point is 01:10:14 but as ugly as that tape is going to look for them, they think they're going to be ready to go. I mean, they still got a win at the end of the day. That's what I'm saying. Watch out. Marvin Harrison Jr. is coming to town, coming to London. Houston, we have a problem. We had a problem. Can you imagine, though, if they figure out a way
Starting point is 01:10:28 to get to two and four? To get back? Like, I don't know. And this is, hey, this is the other thing, talking about the NFC East and like talking about do you want to go for it. Like, did you watch the game Thursday night? Did anybody watch the game Thursday night? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Dallas. And, you know, this is an interesting. Embarrassing. You know, like, I, again, I thought Dak could have played a lot better in that game. Like, there were moments where when you play a team like that as a quarterback, I don't care what goes into. I don't care if the two picks are dropped. or if Ferguson, the ball hits him in the fucking face,
Starting point is 01:11:01 I think as the general of an offense, you have to get your team in a position to play the game from in front so that Tampa Bay can't eat 40 minutes of clock. And part of that's on the defense. Most of it's on the defense. But that's a bad loss for the Cowboys. And there's nothing more Cowboys
Starting point is 01:11:20 than winning the battle for Texas, huge spot, beating the Texans, trading for a number one corner. everybody's stroking you you get fucking you the corner you get the corner you want he gets sick and misses the game uh you come out flat and lose to winless team and then an usher tells your 60 million dollar quarterback that it's embarrassing and then he's he's ratting on the usher and the entire country is like hey that's fucked up so i i just this was a very dallas loss some of the worst tackling i've ever seen at the second level defensively
Starting point is 01:11:57 And I said, hey, listen, maybe JPJ changes things for them. Maybe it's a, you know, a domino thing. But that was atrocious. And, you know, they should be embarrassed. It was embarrassing. You know, the, the stat that stood out to me in this game was the last time Dallas won a game while scoring under 20 points was in November of 2018. They won 1310 against the Saints.
Starting point is 01:12:24 The Eagles won three games like that last year. year. So, so just two totally opposite kind of teams right now. And it's quite interesting because they are going to be vying for the NFCs. Because I mean like the commanders, I don't believe it. Like with what I saw yesterday, I have no fucking clue. Like they should just have to like stop playing this year. And, and the Giants like, it's a cool story, but it's going to be hard. So, so I just a wild deal Thursday night. And you got to give Jalen Johnson a lot of, not Jalen. Jalen Daniels, a lot of fucking credit, too.
Starting point is 01:13:00 Oh, yeah. A lot of credit, because good for that kid, man. I know a lot of it was the wrong game, but, you know, they three plays at a time just suck the life out of that building. And, you know, the Cowboys defense let them do it. And that's a wild stat to me. The last time Dallas won a game
Starting point is 01:13:16 while scoring under 20 points was in November of 2018. I mean, for goodness sakes, they can't get a defense on the, field to save their life. So there's there are people blaming it on DAC. Dak certainly shares the blame in that. But like to me, the defense not being able to get off the field is fucking the worst part. But that's the division. You got to win, dude.
Starting point is 01:13:36 And I got to take this down 14 going for two to make it a six point game is the dumbest shit in the world. I don't care how much math you know. I don't care how many fucking analytics websites you subscribe to. Like, come on, bro. There is something in football called momentum. There's also something in football called, called, I don't know what it's called. I think it's called the offense trying to lead a drive
Starting point is 01:14:07 where they tie the game late and they know they also have to get the two-point conversion. I think there's an invisible stressor there for an offense. To me, I think I can feel it when an offense is driving and they need to get the two as well. I think they're distracted by it. Maybe a hot take, but I just don't. like the risk is too great,
Starting point is 01:14:26 not get in the first two-point conversion when you're down two scores. That's my soapbox moment on that analytical fad. I think it's dumb as fuck. And I watched it the other night, I think the Cowboys were frantic, because then you're talking about when you get down there, like they're saving their timeouts
Starting point is 01:14:42 just in case they don't get it, just in case they don't get it, just in case they don't get it. Like, go for two to win the game if you want. But like, I know there's some people that are probably upset with me about that take but um analytics twitter coming to get you well fuck them what do they know like i like analytics analytics are a big part of the game but like sometimes like you you you can't just you can't be by the
Starting point is 01:15:09 book for on everything it to me that that that that kind of killed some of the momentum for them uh and todd bulls man can you put that that text up this was so this was sent at 10 what time was that 10.55 p.m. This was as Todd Bowles decided to go for it and not make it a three-score game under 10 minutes to go in the ball game. I thought this was just the most incredible coaching malpractice moment of the week somehow until Sunday. And I texted Nolan. Todd Bowles died doing what he loved because I thought maybe this would get him fired. And I was like, you know, it's a funny way to describe him going out. Man, at the end of the game,
Starting point is 01:15:54 they showed him, keeled over, gasping for air, and I thought I killed Todd Bowles. I almost threw up. I almost threw up in my mouth. Luckily, he wasn't having a heart attack. It was just he got hitting the nuts with a helmet or something or hitting the chest with a helmet.
Starting point is 01:16:11 A celebratory helmet, they said. Bro, I just, I thought I killed Todd Bowles. It was, when I saw that scene, I literally thought about your. text and I was like we can never talk about this no I was like if he had died I was that was going to the grave dude I wasn't sharing that tag you would have thought the tech killed though yeah dude I mean you can't make this shit up okay so we got one more game before we we have the guest on dominique foxworth the great dominique foxworth is going to join us in a couple minutes here oh I wanted
Starting point is 01:16:46 to say this real quick yeah this is a quick like kind of a seat to Jalen Daniel's stepdad who was at the game while they're projecting this whole single mother thing that he was raised and they did all that and that's amazing but it's just like guys it's like I know everyone loves the whole single mother raising a kid's story and then he's making it but it's like dang like I've been there since he was a baby guys like like and I'm sitting they wear that out and I'm sitting right here in this game. You guys keep cropping me out,
Starting point is 01:17:23 but I'm not his biological father, but I am his father. I'm out the game. They do that. They do that. I don't really love it. Nobody pointed it out, and now I can't unsee it every time they do it.
Starting point is 01:17:33 I'm like, oh, they're doing this again? They're doing it again. And they just love to, and I don't know. And I don't know if it, I guess it's a feel good story for people watch it, but I'm always like, dang,
Starting point is 01:17:43 like, this moment, this is my son also, guys. Like, come on, he's having a great, his first. NFL win. I'd be pissed. His mother's awesome. My son made the NFL and they were like,
Starting point is 01:17:55 his mother worked two jobs because his dad was always stone playing mad. Like, you know what I mean? Like that would kind of piss me off. I'm there a lot, you know? I chip in. But I did notice. I'm keen on that shit. You know,
Starting point is 01:18:11 we don't have to say anything else, but I am keen on that bullshit. So, and shout out to the moms at the same time. Absolutely. There's some incredible moms out there. And some of them are single mothers. but it just like, okay, Vegas, New England.
Starting point is 01:18:24 This was like a factory NFL reset game. This was, okay, so. Put the Pats back to being the Pets and put the Raiders back to being the Raiders. I do think there's an element of both things in this game. I think the Raiders, and listen, like, the Raiders, I think came out a little flat. I think they came out flat after the game last week against Kansas City.
Starting point is 01:18:49 That's like a big game for them. It's kind of like where they are in their build kind of felt like a Super Bowl. They almost had it. They almost had it. I think it also speaks to who the Pats can be. And, you know, why we shouldn't overdue. Now, I don't think the Raiders' corners are that great. You know, Mass has had a really nice month, caught the ball some.
Starting point is 01:19:09 But like, you could see a central theme in this game was like scheming up one-on-ones, you know, for Drake May outside the numbers. And it got ugly. And then, you know, you're getting the tight ends on the backers. that sort of thing. But I think more than anything, it just exposed a couple things in the Raiders build where they are right now.
Starting point is 01:19:27 I don't think they're great inside out. Like I don't think their defensive tackles are great. I think the, the Pats had their way outside, which is scared to think about considering A.J. Brown could be back in a week or two. But the thing in a game like that, and you know this, Nate, like if we can't stop the pass,
Starting point is 01:19:48 the D-line's not going to have any help. Like you, sorry, we're back here fighting for our lives. Like, y'all got to stop the run, man. And these guys are getting pushed around a little bit. And I thought Josh McDaniels called a really good game. I thought the run game was really effective. I thought, you know, the pump draws, the jet sweeps. You start the two-minute series off, which was huge with two runs.
Starting point is 01:20:10 You got one Raiders D-tackles playing fucking pass. And, you know, they run right up the middle. And you get the edge on the second one. So I think the run game was huge, but the main event in this game was seeing Drake may look more like Drake May again. And I know it's just the Raiders defense and that whole thing. But that's the team that took the chiefs to wire last week, as flat as I think they played. And matchups make fights, right? And I thought Josh did a great job again of scheming up, even in zone coverage, like getting the safety's eyes away from the single receiver side or getting the safety's eyes away from where Drake wants to go with the ball.
Starting point is 01:20:45 And it was bombs away. And, you know, I just thought he made some incredible throws. Like the one he made out of the end zone, like bailing back was, and it didn't count, was unbelievable. So if you're a Drake May fan, if you're a Pat's fan, you just wanted to see them get the monkey off their back. And you wanted to see if this team was mentally broken or not. And they're not mentally broken. Like, you know, do they have deficiencies? Sure.
Starting point is 01:21:08 They were down both their corners and they found a way to win this game. And the other thing that I noticed in this game that I think will not go away for the Raiders is, Kirk Cousins against free runners and the Blitz. There were some moments in this game where, you know, somebody asked me last week, has he looked old yet? And I didn't think he looked that old, but like yesterday he looked a little old at times, like trying to get the ball off quickly,
Starting point is 01:21:32 trying to beat a free runner against pressure. And these looks aren't going to go away. And we talked about it last night. We got to see Mendoza in a two-minute drill. You know, do we see him the rest of the year? Nolan was saying, you know, he thinks with Tom in the building, like that ain't going to have. happen. I kind of wonder at some point if week 10, 12, 11, 12, if you're, if you're seven and four
Starting point is 01:21:53 or something like that, do you say, hey, man, like this guy can change the math for us? The thing, though, that really, to me, you talk about a team that has no run game, they have no run game. And they, you know, they drafted a running back in top five, right? And they can't find a way to suit the run attack to him. And I don't like what I see. Like on some of the gap scheme stuff. It's kind of, it's kind of an ugly deal. And so I don't know how they figure out the run game. I don't know if teams are going to heat cousins up from now on, you know, like at times when you watch this offense, watching Brock Bowers against man coverage looks like high school tape. It's the closest thing to high school tape there is on a, I literally was going to ask you.
Starting point is 01:22:35 It's the closest thing to high school tape you'll see on an NFL field weekend and week out. And when you put Jones on him, who's given up a good foot, it feels like. And Bowers can run like Jones. Like it's just there's nothing you can do. And so they've got a real superpower in that guy. But what is up with Gentie? But I don't know that Genties the fit for the kind of run game they're calling. And I also, I have concerns about Gentie, right?
Starting point is 01:23:05 Like you're going to spend your first couple years running into, you know, maybe heavy boxes or looks that aren't conducive to you gaining yardage. and I don't think he's, I don't see it yet. I'm not saying he doesn't have a, he breaks a fuck ton of tackles. And, you know, he is an exciting player, but like, I don't see it in this offense yet. And that's one of the hardest adjustments that I think Kubiaks had to make is like, how do I, how do I take my run offense from Seattle and, you know, like build on what I learned there and call a game that suits the personnel we have?
Starting point is 01:23:40 And I don't see it right now. So, but if you're a Pat's fan, you're excited, man. got Raritan involved in the passing game. You got the screen game going. You got tight ends going on backers. I thought Drake did a good job, and they just ate the corners a lot. But I want to shout out the defense. Milton Williams, I love Gabe Yacchus.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Is that how I'm saying his name? I've been hearing Yacchus. I've been hearing Accus. It doesn't matter how you say his name. Just put some respect on it. Because the guy is a football player. he's a complete football player i i just really like him like he's one of those guys that like his college tape and i'm no like you know college film junkie but like he's he's better than i thought
Starting point is 01:24:25 he's more athletic than i thought he's twitcher than i thought he's stronger than i thought he's a fucking dog so those guys ponder kicking ass up front i mean the pats have turned over the keys to the youth man with some of these guys and uh it seems to be working out and and again drake just getting the monkey off his back is big so drake per the patriot's pronunciation guide it is acus acus well jaggs went up there and beat the scent into the pets huh yeah i guess so which again shows you how matchups like just make make games in the nfl like you know the whole like when you're when you're a kid i used to look at like how much this team beat this team by that must mean they're that much that much better.
Starting point is 01:25:13 That's just not the way things go in the NFL. Like every matchup is different. And so, and every spot is different, too. Like, that Jags team didn't look like the Jags team we saw so far this season. But Denver made them look a little funky in the second half of that game. So, you know, they're beatable.
Starting point is 01:25:31 Okay, we've got Dominique Foxworth joining us. Dominique Foxworth Show on ESPN. You got to check it out. It's my dude right here. What's up, Dom? What's happening, guys? Thanks for having me. Also known as Desmond Howard.
Starting point is 01:25:48 I was wondering if I was gonna have to bring it up, but I feel like I can't, I mean, I can't be around you guys without reminding everybody. So tell me- I look like Desmond Howard. No, I didn't say that. Just be, for everybody, just be perfectly clear about that. I didn't say that.
Starting point is 01:26:04 But tell the story what happened. We were on a flight together and I think, so I don't remember what happened first. If I saw you or... I saw you. I walked... Nate thought. I walked by... No, no. I thought I saw Chris, right? Yeah, yeah, right. You might have seen Chris.
Starting point is 01:26:21 Yeah. I'm sorry, Nate, you tell you. You tell the story, Nate. I'm going from the one who has the best... I'm walking on the plate after just eating the edible. We're heading to San Fran for the Super Bowl. And... Don't blame the edible. As soon as I get on the flight, like... Edible.
Starting point is 01:26:40 I walk in. I see Dominique. I think Dominique is Desmond Howard at the time. And I get into the group chat and I'm like, yo, I'm on the flight with Desmond Howard. And so one of our producers, Charlie, he works with Dominique. And he's like, in his head, he's like, I think Nate is talking about Dominique. He's calling Dominique Desmond Howard. And I think that's great.
Starting point is 01:27:09 And I think that's funny. And he's like, in a separate. group chat. He's telling everybody just to go along with it and just make sure Nate thinks that he's seen Desmond Howard. Well, he texts me. He said, Desmond Howard's on this flight. And I said, oh, that's cool. He was awesome. You know, and then, you know, Dom walks off and I know Dom's on the flight. I'm like, Dom and Desmond Howard are on this flight. And then, you know, we get to baggage claim and Dom walks up. And Nate's like, here comes Desmond Howard. You know, so I'm like, I'm like, why don't you talk to him? Why don't you get a picture?
Starting point is 01:27:43 I was like, you know what you should do? You should just do the Heisman post. I love that. I played along for a little bit, but eventually I think Chris felt guilty because he told you because I was going to do that shit all week. Oh, man. That's so great. I was going to keep it going all week.
Starting point is 01:27:59 It's so great. No, that was a great time. Great introduction. Yeah, yeah. So now Dom's joining us. And Dom, I don't know where to start. I got some games I want to hit with you. But the New York Washington game, Tomlin on Sunday night, said,
Starting point is 01:28:14 I don't think we'll ever know what happened there at the end of the football game he's referring to. What do you think happened there? Everything and nothing at the same time. So like, it's a situation that is not hard to understand. And I'm watching people talk about, like, who is to blame and who's not to blame. And it's kind of everybody is to blame. So let's be clear. We all, I'm sure, have seen the play and heard people talk about it up into this point.
Starting point is 01:28:43 And the real egregious part is that if things went according to plan, it would have gone poorly. Because we watched the play. They called an actual play and they ran the play. And people were running routes that would have had them catch the ball not in the end zone and not in position to go out of out. So that's the starting point is that it was a terrible play call. And then, of course, Jaden Daniels is also like confused. at that point, and I'm sure the coaches should have if they didn't. They should be in his ear a number of times we got no timeouts.
Starting point is 01:29:14 The thing about like when you put it all into perspective, that makes it really crazy is no one was thinking that they would get to that spot. Because that's normally how like super anxious, anxiety riddled coaches are already thinking four steps ahead. And they're like, if we get here, then we're going to do that. They had no idea. Like it was that they were surprised. They're in position to win this game.
Starting point is 01:29:37 Then everything from that point just fell apart. It was embarrassing. I've never seen anything like it. I've honestly, sometimes I say I've never seen anything like it. And I'm like, surely I have. But I don't know that I've ever seen a game that ended in a tie like that where I don't know that the quarterback knew what was going on. I don't know that, you know, Daniels knew what was going on. There's no way he did.
Starting point is 01:29:56 And I remember when I was a rookie. And he's looking around. No, but Dommy, he's looking around like they're not in a hurry when he gets tackled. I think he thought they had a time out. I remember thinking that, I mean, I hope he didn't think they had a timeout, but maybe he did. But I remember when I was a rookie with the Broncos, we would do the two-minute drill. And you would hear the coach and Coach Shanahan would yell out Mike Shanahan because I'm old, not Kyle. But you would hear him yell out that it had to be 17 seconds to run, to have enough time to run a play and spike it without a time out.
Starting point is 01:30:32 So that stuck with me. It was the first time I heard it. It stuck with me. And it would say it after every. practice if we had a two minute situation that was like that. And so when I'm watching games, I'm always thinking like round 16, 15, 17 seconds. And I watch this thing go past 20. And I'm like, what are you guys doing? Goes down to 11 and he snaps the ball. And I'm like, all right, well, maybe he's going to throw it out of bounds. So first of all, I think it's a bad idea to snap
Starting point is 01:30:57 the ball at that point and not immediately spike it. But he starts to run it like, all right, he's going to throw it out of bounds. That's the craziest part. We could go through this thing nine times and think of something that was stupid and silly and crazy. But the craziest part, that Jay and Daniels just slid. He wasn't even tackled. He chose to lay down in that spot. I know. And the only thing I can think of my head is like, are you afraid of intentional grounding? That's going to end the game. But that also ended the game. So I, you know, what can we learn, like the Giants with James Winston? Are they, is, because I'm impressed with the build. Like, I am. They've certainly gotten better. The culture.
Starting point is 01:31:35 better obviously and I think Harbaugh as bad as everybody in Baltimore wanted him gone and you know that marked intensely like it's kind of like one of those things where each partner found you know a better second marriage you know where it's like okay New York perfect thing for New York maybe the perfect thing for for for Baltimore's Declan Doyle as the O.C and mentor as the head coach do you think that this Giants thing this year is doable in the NFCs without a starting quarterback quote unquote. Yeah, I don't, honestly. I think what they've done so far is super impressive
Starting point is 01:32:12 because they went back to like some foundational principles. And I think you're right. Like Wood Harbaugh brought to Baltimore. He's bringing that, which is, I mean, what he's taken from Baltimore, I guess is a better way of putting it because he brought something to Baltimore, but the culture was already kind of there. He's taken that and brought it with him to New York.
Starting point is 01:32:30 And it is translated really quickly. It's pretty simple. It's about physical. and they got, they drafted alignment and you can tell that they want to run the hell out of ball and take the pressure off of everybody. Like if you run the ball well, that takes the pressure off of everybody and they did it well in this game. And that's the best version of them, including James Winston, taking shots downfield. They have talented weapons and likely neighbors. And that offense can be functional and, I mean, better than functional.
Starting point is 01:32:56 It can be productive when they're running the ball well. And I thought they looked good, particularly in the second half of that game. And the same thing could be said for Baltimore. Like, it was time for him to move on. and there were not foundational things that they needed. And I think what they're doing with their defense hasn't quite come to fruition yet. Maybe it'll get better now that Maddo BK seems to be healthy and playing a little bit better. But that's what they needed.
Starting point is 01:33:17 They needed something to address their defense. Their offense in Baltimore is going to be pretty good as long as Lamar is healthy. And if Lamar's not healthy, then you don't have a chance. So it's nice to have Snoop to steal a win here or there because he's a customer playing. But that situation is going to be on Lamar's health. And if they can figure out a way to get pressure on defense. Yep, and they did find ways to get pressure late in the game last night. I thought the young guys played real well.
Starting point is 01:33:40 But, you know, the Giants, speaking of their defense, you watch Arvel Reese play. Have you seen a linebacker? I'm not saying as good as him because obviously that would be a really hyperbolic question asked. But have you seen a linebacker with his size profile out the gate looking this disruptive in your time playing? Do you remember anybody? And that's when the backers used to be real big. Yeah. not at this age.
Starting point is 01:34:07 Like he jumped off the screen and I think the thing that I was most impressed by with him is not even those physical things. Because while it doesn't always translate, like I saw that in college and like kind of expected him to be a special athlete who's very physical at the point of attack, which all that is true.
Starting point is 01:34:27 But week one, he seemed like he never been dropped in the past coverage before. And now he seems like comfortable and past coverage. Like, that's the stuff that I feel like is going to separate him if he can continue to learn at that rate, which maybe not at that rate, but he continue to learn and add things to his game. He has the athleticism to do whatever he wants,
Starting point is 01:34:46 but what separates, like there's lots of great athletes, and some of them get drafted really high and don't pan out for a number of different positions. But what separates those guys is the extra tenth of a second or full second that you can get by being smarter than, your opponent. And if he can get that way, which he's demonstrated ability to learn quickly, if he can get to that point, then we're talking defensive player to year type of stuff from that guy. I'm also, I got to shout out DeNard Wilson, my old coach, who does a great job. I mean,
Starting point is 01:35:17 he really does, and I'm always pulling for him. So I love that he's got, you know, tools at his disposal like Arvel and, and Abdul Carter, who is one of my favorite players in league before we move on the next game november 11th 2012 dom rams niner's this is cappernick's first game my buddy joan dunbar knocked smith out of the game knocked cap into the game we're up 17 7 they make it 21 17 uh we fake a pun at our own 33 to keep the drive alive um and we go up 24 21 acres ties that we go to overtime first play of overtime 80 yard touchdown to amandola called back on a legal information. Nineers miss a 41-yarder with a chance to win it. I don't even know the rules at this point. I'm just lining up to block a field goal. I have no idea what's going to happen. He misses
Starting point is 01:36:08 the field goal. We make the game winner, but there's a delay game lineup and kick it again. He misses it. It's a fucking tie. I've been it. I've played in a tie. There's no worse feeling. We had to fly three hours after a tie. You don't know what to think. You know, and so for why, Washington, this feels like worse than a loss. Yeah. In a lot of ways. I think I agree with you, but you could tell the way the Giants were celebrated. Like that I got to be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:36:39 Like I'm not an old man in all the ways that I, that you couldn't be an old man. But that kind of made me feel annoyed. Like y'all, y'all had it too. You had to win. It was 76. Yeah, win probability for them. 76% win probability right before, um, scatibou fumbled the ball. And then it went to 80.
Starting point is 01:36:58 for Jane Daniels in Washington before they lost all in a matter of a couple of minutes. But yeah, I get it. They were happy because it was an improbable tie. But y'all blew that game too. So I'm with you. Everybody should have been sad. I want no celebrations after that funky-ass ending.
Starting point is 01:37:15 The only person I can celebrate is me who has the Giants underwin total. I was like, hey, that's perfectly fine with me, dude. A tie, that doesn't work against me. So Chicago Green Bay, you know what I love, Dom? In our sport, like, there's a lot of respect among competitors. And generally, like, even if you, like Mike Evans yesterday, he looked at Diggs's name played on his jersey.
Starting point is 01:37:37 But then after the game was kind of like, he downplayed it in the whole thing. It's very rare that you play a game, especially in today's NFL, where you're like, these two teams, or better yet, these two coaches fucking hate each other. And I know that Matt LaFleur has a Ben Johnson voodoo doll somewhere. I don't know how much Ben Johnson really hates Matt LaFleur if it's performative, but I fucking loved seeing this game play out for Matt LaFleur, who could use a win right now with them just, it was bomb after bomb. And they would have scored 50 if they could have.
Starting point is 01:38:13 The best part is that nobody knows how it started. I watched the games on Sunday with the get up with the, I'm not to get it, with the countdown crew. And Schaefter is one of those guys. And so Schaefter has answered to every question. some of those answers I can share, some of those answers I can't. That was one where I was like, I want to know, and he doesn't even know. He knows that they hate each other.
Starting point is 01:38:33 He can confirm that they don't like each other. But I think Ben Johnson just started. He got the job, started talking trash. I guess it's just because he was the Green Bay Packers coach and he wanted to, like, endear himself to the Chicago fans. And then Matt LaPoor was like, oh, this is real. Like, you really are in sight. Did you have a game like that or an opponent that?
Starting point is 01:38:53 I don't think that. I mean, I know in college. first aliens liked each other well in college when we played virginia tech i mean it was hard to really get your hate on because we're o and four against and we never fucking beat them but like i can tell you in the nfc west we hated the niners but at the at the end the niners had some badasses and our defense had some badasses but at the end of the game i didn't like anthony davis i'll tell you that much but other than that like i i really did i respect iupati and boone and and staley and frank gore i fucking love those guys even though i tried to kill him you know twice a year
Starting point is 01:39:24 I think sometimes when the coaches don't like each other, it brings another element of the deal into it. Like when you have permission from your coaches to hate the other team, like, I know it sounds funny to some people, but like I think Bruce Ariens and Jeff Fisher didn't get along, and we could feel that when we played the games. But just a wild deal.
Starting point is 01:39:43 I don't know. Have you ever had a deal where you just, I mean, when you played in the league, like in Denver or whatever, like did you have a... We had... Yeah, we didn't have like rivals that we, like,
Starting point is 01:39:53 I mean, there were normal rivals. Like you wanted to beat him, but there was respect. I, I had a guy that I hated that didn't hate me. And it was, yeah, it was, it was, it hurt my feelings. It was Anquan bolden. And so I was, I played against Anquan in college. And he, I was like a hot shot, feeling good about myself, like my junior year. And then I played against Anquine. I was like, I wasn't worried. He's not super fast, not quick, like, all right, I'm going to take care of this guy. He got a lot of hype. He was physical as hell. And he's so physical. he beat my ass up all game long.
Starting point is 01:40:26 And so then he got drafted. I spent another year in college. Then I got drafted. And when I was with the Broncos, I was like, all right, we played them. And I was hyped up for that game. And I was like, I'm going to get my get back. We both for the league. And I tried to fight him for the whole first half.
Starting point is 01:40:43 I tried to fight him. I just jumping in and shit. Just like, then eventually he was like, hey, what are you doing? And it just snapped me out of it. It was like, oh, yeah, we're professionals now. Like, this is entirely different. It was the best trash talk because it was sincere. It wasn't even trash talk.
Starting point is 01:41:01 It was like, who are you? Stop this. I'm thinking in his mind, he's like, this guy, I remember him from college. We had battles. Nah, he wasn't even thinking about me. It was a one-sided deal. I get it. I've been there.
Starting point is 01:41:13 I mean, I hated Michael Crabtree because of what happened in the Gator Bowl in 2007. And I don't think he cared at all about what happened at Texas Tech, Virginia. when I got to the pros is what I found out. But I think, hey, listen, in the game here, three and two, the Packers probably the least three and two feeling three and two team in the NFL. Like they've kind of been on desk door. Like the coach to me is on the hot seat. The offensive line is really bad.
Starting point is 01:41:40 I mean, we just got done talking about the Eagles. The Green Bay offensive line is really bad. I think what I saw in this game was something you can build on a little bit with deep shots. but I also don't think Chicago's defense is very good. I've kind of been on this thing for a couple weeks. So is it Fool's gold to look at this as like a big step forward for the Packers or are we just making too much of it? I mean, I think it's not necessarily Fool's goal to consider a step forward for the Packers.
Starting point is 01:42:09 However, I do think the Packers' expectations are super high. Like, they've had Drew in love for a while. Like, I think they want more than just to make the playoffs. Yeah. Now that's where when I, I mean, they trade it for. Michael Parsons. Like they were trying to win the Super Bowl. And now you look at them as like, this team is not that. I think they'll win some more games. They'll have a couple more games where they put up big numbers because if you can keep people off of Jordan Love and honestly, in this
Starting point is 01:42:36 game, he took some shots and still delivered some perfect passes. Like he is one of those guys in the league that's super special, but you're going to be able, you have to help them out in some way. And you can't do with the defense. You can't do it with the running game. You have some good receivers that are coming to their own right now. But I find it hard to imagine. that they are going to be able to win four games in a row, three games in a row, or even two games in a row in January, when they're into playoffs and that O line is what it is. And just shifting people around, they're going to fix it.
Starting point is 01:43:06 Well, after the Eagles played the Bears, I remember saying, like, hey, you know, the Eagles got the run game in the first half going, and I was like, man, some of these run fits are so bad. You know, like, it's going to be hard for me to take a big, you know, like victory lap on that deal. And, you know, yesterday for the Packers to be able run the football is a tough look for the for the bears and then also the fact that like hey you know
Starting point is 01:43:28 Jordan just got the ball out for most of the day and then when they get around midfield he was like fuck it I'll take three shots at the end zone I mean he threw he threw the most arrogant throw was he goes second down throws it to the pylon and then third down I think it's middle of field close and he threw the ball at the post like he threw it to the goal post and Watson just takes it off dude's head and I'm like you know it just was such a disrespectful game plan from from Matt LaFleur and he was due one and on Ben Johnson's side of things I saw a stat yesterday somebody wanted to confirm this for me because it almost looked made up that he's two and seven in division since he took over as the bear's head coach I don't know if that's like if I got if that's like a
Starting point is 01:44:12 joke but you know for a guy that came in and I think he's a brilliant offensive mind not taking anything away from and is calling people out in division about beating Matt LaFleur twice and he did but as an aggregate you got to play better in division I don't think they own the Minnesota matchup at all and the Detroit matchup we'll see I mean like it's a big mystery for me this year it's got to be a shootout but we'll see yeah that division I feel like went from being just a couple years ago probably the best division in football to right now like I don't believe like really anybody in that division. I guess the Bears are the best team in the division,
Starting point is 01:44:52 but I think you're right about that defense. The defense is going to be a problem. We thought it was before the year started, and they kind of snuck by with going up against some not great offenses and getting a ridiculous amount of sacks, considering the amount of pressure that they got, and not being all that good. But now that division feels to me like,
Starting point is 01:45:11 I hope Kyler Murray is like, we've seen a little bit more. I mean, but yeah, I'm with you where it's like, and I love Minnesota this off season. I, you know, I picked him to go to the playoffs. But to me, yeah, and you can see it coming because the roster's so good. Like, you know, and they're kind of a quarterback away. The thing they have is, and it's, forgive me for stating the obvious, but they got a defense that makes you play puckered up for 60 minutes, three plays at a time.
Starting point is 01:45:42 And you just, I don't even think he cares about fresh sets of downs, which honestly, I like playing like that. Like it's like, hey, if it's second and two, we're bringing the house because, you know, I'm just going to try to get a negative and force third and long. We don't give a fuck about a first down. You're going to have to make seven, eight more because we rally and tackle really well. And I think, like, that's a tough team to beat. And I was saying this earlier.
Starting point is 01:46:06 You and I know what it's like the game plan, right? There's no team that's tougher to game plan for or more unique to game plan for it than a guy who's got a 70% blitz rate. and we'll play Tampa too from a mugged up look. And then on the offensive side of the football, it's like, we play Kyler. I don't care if he's a top five quarterback, top 10 quarterback.
Starting point is 01:46:28 He's gonna kill you with his legs and the scramble drill and Justin. And so yeah, they're tough. So in preparing for them offensively, you can't bring anything that you ran last week. Like nothing you ran last week, no matter who you played last week, nothing you ran last week is gonna work. I assume that the teams in their division
Starting point is 01:46:45 have a better plan or more a more, custom to going against them than other teams. But these other teams that are taking them on, I think, is even more challenging. And they are, it feels like you know how you want to say, like, defense is normally kind on his heels reacting. Yeah. And everyone wants to make the other side react or they say they do. Nobody does it like they do where they completely abandon any principles that they had.
Starting point is 01:47:11 So many offenses are just like, how do we survive this play? And that's to your point is it feels. like a new set of downs is a new opportunity for the Vikings to create some sort of explosive play, right? Yeah, it doesn't even feel that successful. All right, you got a first down. Like, you have to make them pay. You got to get them with explosives. And to your point, even if you know they're blitzing, you don't know the coverage, which sounds stupid.
Starting point is 01:47:33 Because it's like they'll do a zero blitz and do like a palmsish type of coverage out of that. Like them and the Seahawks do some interesting stuff. They are more aggressive than the Seahawks. But it's got to be hard for a quarterback to be like, all right, I know they're coming. which means, it should be like, I know they're coming, which means I go here. They're like, I know they're coming, which means I might go here or I might go there.
Starting point is 01:47:56 And then they're running max. You got outnumbered and your quarterback's gonna get hit. And quarterback could only take so many of those of course of a game. And after a while, a QB is gonna make a mistake. And so yeah, I think they're doing a great job. And yeah, and the other thing I'll say is I don't wanna give up on Detroit,
Starting point is 01:48:11 as bad as their secondary has been. I don't know what Brian Branch might do for them. And they can't, get any worse. They played more man coverage yesterday. The offense is I, here's what I'm overjoyed about. I hate the dumb ass takes that are intellectually dishonest when the lion's got three or four offensive linemen down and they're still scoring 30 points a game to start the season. And people are saying, they haven't been the same since Ben Johnson. Dan's butt naked without Ben Johnson. I'm like, at least pick the right side of the ball. You know, it's, uh, petzing has been a,
Starting point is 01:48:47 real good hire for them. And, you know, golf's already at 1,500 yards. And, you know, he hadn't thrown a pick, I don't think. They look really good. They got to get the defense figured out. It's easier said than done. The question I would have had, Dom, was like, Joey Porter, Jr. was out there.
Starting point is 01:49:02 And I don't know if Brad Holmes is going to be making calls ahead of the deadline to get a corner or that sort of thing. They were kind of banking on a, hope is not a strategy. That's what Howie Roseman says. But it kind of felt like a strategy for Detroit with their, defense backfield this year. They got to make a move, I would think. I mean, I think with any unit,
Starting point is 01:49:23 offense or defense, you're looking for, if you don't have, like, good in every spot, if you're weak somewhere, you need to be like, you need to overcompensate in somewhere else, right? Like,
Starting point is 01:49:33 you need to find a place to put that pressure. And right now, when you look at the lions, you're like, all right, I don't feel great about putting the pressure like on any unit overall. Like the,
Starting point is 01:49:45 and I think when we go back to the bear, for a second is the Bears, the Bears, the Dennis Allen defense, like, they got a win up front. Like, it's traditional, like, up for, their front four has to be great. And then you can get away with not having the best linebackers or safeties or corners. That's the problem when I look at some of these teams. And there are the teams that have weaknesses, but they overcome those weaknesses because they're really good in a different area. And I think, like, if you look at, this is what the Texans are going to try to do offensively. Like, we ain't never going to run the Get us another receiver.
Starting point is 01:50:18 Let it go. We're done. We're done running a ball. It was a pipe dream. C.J. Stroud's playing good football, dude. If you don't watch their games, you might think he's the same guys you saw last year. But I've been saying for weeks, spread them out, abandon this, hey, three tight end look bullshit. Your guys up front aren't suited for it. You don't have the backs for it.
Starting point is 01:50:38 Throw the ball around the yard. And, you know, I think you make a good point. You got to have a strength. And so, like, I don't know what that would be. For Detroit, for me, like I would be calling Tampa and say, hey, give me one of these corners on a rookie deal. Like, I want Brad Holmes to make a move. We'll spend all day on the NFC North
Starting point is 01:50:56 because it's so interested. Interesting. Speaking of teams that in making moves, I think the Colt Steelers, I called this game the All In Bowl, because these two teams over the last calendar year, at times it's confused me. It's made me wonder who the fuck they think they are. You know, once Indy traded for Saskart and it was like, hey, you know, we burnt the bridge now.
Starting point is 01:51:19 Like, you know, we're burning the ships, rather. Burning the ships, we're going for it. And you got Daniel Jones as your quarterback. He gets hurt. I don't think the Colts are going anywhere. I just, like, they're just kind of like the perpetual middling team. For the Steelers, they really, they really look good sometimes. But the point is, like, they don't look good enough to make a real run.
Starting point is 01:51:42 Like, and so you kind of, you're throwing good money after over. okay football. And at some point, you're going to pay for it for what, like a nine, 10 win season, which you did just rolling out of bed with Mike Tomlin. Yeah, both of those teams, I feel like, are making decisions that are inconsistent with where they are and as a franchise or as a team. And I think you're right, they've gone all in. And it's like the sunk cost fallacy on top of another. They keep making more and more decisions that multiply these original kinds of of bad decisions and yeah both of these i'm sure the steelers are elated that they were able to win but they let joey porter walk or they traded joey porter because they like a contract disagreement
Starting point is 01:52:27 but they miss them like i watched um daniel jones was unable to hit but like they're guys running free and the secondary past the corners who are sitting at the sticks more aggressively than they should they're running a ton of cover three it felt like in that game they decided look we're going to stop the run and they did they did a great job stopping the run early in that game and then a second half the Colts ran the ball a little bit better because they started to do a little bit more cover four but the issues for them I think are those corners and Aaron Rogers like they throw so short like he has three touchdowns passing I think in the last three weeks and the numbers look better than when you actually watch him you're like oh he's throwing like I don't know like 10 11
Starting point is 01:53:09 screens or smoke routes every game it's like it doesn't give me confidence in their offense going forward. They're like a yachtery is what I call them. They're going to depend on a lot of yak and they really honestly, I like the way the team's built in a vacuum. Like if you had a quarterback of the future and I know Aaron's like and Aaron's not playing poorly. Like it's just, he's at this age and he moved around well yesterday. He did. You know, I just, I look at them and I'm like, they make you tackle. Not every team tackles well. You look at that Cincinnati game. for instance and you know they missed a million tackles because you got the darnel washions of the world and the warrants of the world and you know you got pitman when he's healthy you know on paper it looks like
Starting point is 01:53:53 a really physical decay they're a physical ball carrier group like you know how like all their skill guys are are physical um but they're kind of built unevenly and again you look at the defense yeah without jpj i don't know what watt was on the fucking phone with patrick graham about but I hate to be Patrick Graham the way that went down. I just, you can see it. Like, when Cleveland decided to take shots in that game early, it was like they can be had Pittsburgh's defense in the back end. And so, you know, I thought yesterday they stood up up front.
Starting point is 01:54:29 Like, they decided we're not going to let Jonathan Taylor run the ball. They set tight edges. The guys up front, all just controlling blockers, the whole thing. They were kicking ass in the red zone. Ramsey was throwing his hat in there. You could tell they're a proud group. They came to play, you know. But I don't think you're going to play linebackers like Indy's linebackers every week.
Starting point is 01:54:51 You know, and I don't think you're going to see some of the coverage stuff that you saw every week. It's going to allow you to beat a team like the Colts. So. Yeah, no, I think you're right. They're going to be a mediocre team. They're going to surprise. They're going to beat like the Ravens or something, and people are going to be shocked. They're going to get some wins that they don't deserve.
Starting point is 01:55:11 they're going to lose some games that they probably should win, and they might sneak into the playoffs, might not, but, like, I don't think this team is, like, serious. It's the same old story. It's just a different look, you know, because – and the AFC right now, like, you've got to be really good to make a run, and they've just constantly been that team that gets throttled in the wild card. And, you know, last year the Houston game was so ugly.
Starting point is 01:55:31 Like, I think it would be better this year, but, like, to what end? Okay, this is the game that I didn't see as much of. but like again one of these teams in in the chargers and the quarterback on that team until you show me something i'm i don't even want to pay attention like there's nothing worth paying attention i saw the pick in the fourth yeah you know i saw the sneak i saw you know the the fumble it's just they are a they're bad news bears and honestly we're at this point going to start talking about a yard sale in in in in l.a and they do have some nice pieces that they could sell but from the Denver end of things because they're not dead yet i just don't
Starting point is 01:56:16 trust them and i think it's like it's high time we start talking about maybe it's not the play caller maybe it is the quarterback a little bit come on like fuck anybody else i was last season i i kept calling out how he throws bombs and screens they win when he connects on the bombs, sometimes he's inaccurate and they lose. That was really like the simplification of their game last year. And then in the playoffs against the Bills, he like dissected that Bills defense, of course. The Bills defense isn't great.
Starting point is 01:56:53 And he like tore up all the intermediate and he got hurt. And so like the last thing in all of our minds was like, and he had that run that he got hurt on to close the game. I was like, wow, he can really do everything. He's a young quarterback. He can really be something different. And all the numbers were like, this is actually a really good regression candidate. You take into account everything that this team is, they're a good candidate for regression.
Starting point is 01:57:15 But we're like, no, they went and got Waddled. It's going to address all these issues in the intermediate area. And you watched in that game, he attacked the intermediate area. The defense is still going to be great. And then we watched him this year and they're winning some games, but they don't look good because to your point, like no matter who the play caller is, what the design is, there are some limitations that the quarterback has, even behind that excellent offensive line. And, and Peyton and him never seem to get along, like, where, like, I'm not saying, like, they hate each other. I don't know that, but I, you know, there's some
Starting point is 01:57:46 smoke where it's like, and now that it's kind of running its course a little bit, I'm kind of wondering, like, how limited Sean feels like he is, uh, because they leave a lot of money on the field. And, you know, I, I just, I just, they're too talented of a football team. I mean, defensively they're a top five to 10 unit for sure and they can get got but like they're a top five unit on a good day offensively you said it yeah waddle like this was one of the most hyped groups out there with the offensive line i still think they they're missing something in the run game and coleman might add that but like i just don't think they have special backs and i don't think the quarterback is is one of these guys who elevates a group and um and until he proves otherwise i
Starting point is 01:58:32 just don't you know i don't i don't see it and and i don't want to be a dick but like i remember at the beginning of the season i was texting with nolan i was like i used the f word like frauds i not that like not that they're not a bunch of good players on that team like there are guys on that team who i have immense respect for the whole defense right um the offensive line There's some great players outside, but last year they skated by winning a lot of close ball games and they don't have a quarterback that's nails. And if you don't have a quarterback that's nails
Starting point is 01:59:07 and you're going to be in a lot of close ball games and you're taking whole halves off or going three and out for like long stretches of time, then you better be fucking money in crunch time. And there was a regression clear as day, staring us in the face. They're not the same team they were last year because the same team, the team they were last year,
Starting point is 01:59:24 Well, maybe they are closer than we think to the team that went 13 and 4. But the point I'm making it is it's just not sustainable to win all those close games. And they find themselves in them all the time because they can't throttle down and score points and take the money that's out there on the field. Yeah. And I'm not sure if it's Sean Payton. I get the sense that it's not Sean Payton's limitations or Davis Webb's limitations. It's quarterback limitations.
Starting point is 01:59:50 but the play design seems pretty restricted, where it's like we got to have boot in. We can't stay in the pocket with this guy too often. It's a lot of boot. You find him retreating a ton. It's those deep overs that sometimes he hits, sometimes he doesn't, and it's like this screen game. And I think this like goes back to the first point I was making.
Starting point is 02:00:11 It's like, I don't, what are they offensively? Like you got to be good at something. That's how it always starts. That's how you become great. It's like, we're so good at this that you got to compromise. your defense in order to stop us. When you compromise your defense, that opens up other stuff. They don't have anything that I feel like I'm coming to this game.
Starting point is 02:00:27 Like, man, we got to stop. We got to do something to stop this. It's nobody. It's no person, no scheme. I would be, if I saw their team on paper, I'd come in and say, man, they're going to run the football because they get this good offensive line. They're going to pull up the linebackers, play action. You're going to be seeing dig routes, deep overs.
Starting point is 02:00:48 You're going to be seeing like the Sean Payton State. And they don't hit any of them. And so it's just like to me like for what bro? And not that we're talking about it with Denver, but like let me ask you the million dollar question that I've been asking every week and I've been placing this guy on every different team But I think there's one guy and we were talking about this coming in. There's not a lot of trade deadline quarterback moves in the history of the NFL that have moved the needle for teams like Jimmy G was one, right? The other one was Carson Palmer there's for whatever reason it just hasn't worked out that way because usually if there's a quarterback
Starting point is 02:01:23 who's good enough they're not getting rid of them yeah if you could place mac jones on any team in the NFL right now who would it be oh that's a good one um i guess i hadn't talked this through i mean i have yeah i tend i tend to think like the best version of them we saw was in the shanahan scheme right so like i would tend to think one of those sort of schemes maybe i mean Pennix has played better down there recently, but he got hurt again. I don't know. I think about a team that has weapons and could use a quarterback that's just going to do. What do you think the right answer?
Starting point is 02:02:02 Well, I don't want to get you in trouble because, oh, my God, dude, that's so funny. Well, you said Atlanta. That's an interesting one because I was just lamenting some of the Pennix off-schedule stuff. And I know that you got in hot water before about likening or calling somebody. pretty but I and that's all that hatch is buried but what I said today was panics is game it's it needs to be cuter and not so hot he makes all the hot throws he makes all the like the the the the throws that like a six footer like stunning lady but on third and short I need like the girl next door I need you to dump the ball down I need you to you know off your back foot just kind of lob it somewhere like
Starting point is 02:02:46 be crafty and get the first down. That's what I think's going to hold Atlanta back. And I don't know if Mac Jones is hot or cute. That's my, that's what I'm a little bit worried about. Maybe the Browns, the Browns. Oh,
Starting point is 02:03:00 Mac Jones is the Browns. They like, I think they like Deshawn Watson right now. Maybe they're off him now because he had another bad week. I mean, he hasn't been as good. They've been winning, but he hasn't been like great and he had a bad week.
Starting point is 02:03:11 I don't know. Who do you think that he should go to if you don't like? Well, I agree with your thing didn't work out. Nick also has to attack the middle of the field. He doesn't want to do that. We just talked about that. He just doesn't.
Starting point is 02:03:20 I mean, I would put the, I would, if the Vikings situation didn't continue to get better. Like, you know, if you. That's a good one, yeah. You know, I think the Vikings would have been a good one, but they can get by with Kyler. And we talked about how different that is. I think, I think the Falcons are one that pops up in my head. But there's just not a lot of teams that are good enough to want to go for it and make a trade. You know, it's, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:03:45 But there are a couple teams like Denver is one that I'm like hey if your quarterback could play like a top 12 guy You could be right back there and in I'm not saying they're there yet I don't want to get aggregated saying Chris Long calls for somebody trading You know both for Bo necks is replacement, but I do think there's something to like When you got a great defense on the field like you don't want to waste it and it kind of feels like to me in Cowboy Reed my producer back here is nod in his head because he's a fucking Broncos fan. I think he knows you're going to waste this group, Reed.
Starting point is 02:04:21 And it's going to suck if we do. Yeah, well, it already sucks. I watch it, watch it every week, dude. He's, he's, Broncos fans are so funny, like, he doesn't even get that mad anymore. He's just like, oh, damn it. You know, like, Boonex will throw a pick at the end of like, oh, damn it.
Starting point is 02:04:35 You know, shucks. It's just, you have to get through the pain of quarters one through three to the fourth quarter. Yeah, that's what you have to do. Yeah. So anyways, man, yeah, we, yeah, We've hit it. Poor Kevin Harlan.
Starting point is 02:04:48 Kevin Harlan should never be calling that game. Kevin Harlan should have been in the desert calling a game where the Detroit Lions scored seven times on the last seven possessions. Not that fucking rock fire. Automatic highest point total. Yes. Kevin Harlan should be at every high point total game every Sunday. Dominique Foxworth, one of the best. Appreciate you joining the show.

Starting point is 02:06:42 I'm in Ross St. Brown. This would be one of the best moments in podcasts. If that's on and around St. Bradford. No, I want a Trevor Lawrence. All right. I want a Treve. Come on. Oh, is that? Tom Brady.
Starting point is 02:07:03 That's Michigan. Tom Brady? All right. Here's the guess. How much you think it's going to be? This? $350. I would say at an eight.
Starting point is 02:07:16 PSA 8. Oh, is that an 8? Let's say it's probably right around 250. I think it's 3. 350 169. Damn, Tom. Damn, his values tanked because of post football activities. Michigan.
Starting point is 02:07:31 God damn. Let's keep that in the, in the locker. Really disrespectful. Huh? Cards. Yeah, keep it in a locker. Card locker.
Starting point is 02:07:39 Keep in the locker. Okay. Somebody's asking no Arizona, Detroit breakdown. I love it when people come to this show and have never seen it before. Yes. I think they could just scream questions at us, dude. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:52 There's a Bermuda Triangle for this. Yeah, wait till you see. The Bermuda Triangle, where football games disappear. Kevin Harlan. I don't know, Jim. This one might disappear. I'm going to take off my jacket. Taking off my jacket.
Starting point is 02:08:08 We're going to the triangle. There was a hurricane this week. It was. What was the name of the hurricane? It started with an eye, didn't it? Golly, that's pretty insensitive of you not to know the name of the hurricane. Me, myself. ravaging the East Coast.
Starting point is 02:08:30 I think it's a tropical cyclone. Tomato Tomato. What's its name? You can't say it, huh? Nope. Can't say... You sound like Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis was like, I'm not saying that. That doesn't sound like a white guy or a white woman. I refuse. That's woke. Post-tropical cyclone...
Starting point is 02:08:53 I don't know. Prenciation guard is saying, Issa Esas. Issa. Issa. Issa. Issa. Issa.
Starting point is 02:09:02 I like it. Okay. So. I don't like it. I don't like Hurricanes. I don't like Hurricanes at all. But I do like watching football in the rain. We'll talk about that in a minute.
Starting point is 02:09:15 I told you check out Houston yesterday. You did a little scouting. Oh, Houston. Was it really a scouting? What did you think about Houston? Congratulations on a. win guys two oh and four teams battling out i mean unless you have a tie and that was occupied already in the league it's just one of these teams have to come out winners and that's true and if you watch
Starting point is 02:09:43 this game i don't know if a lot of people did start of it you might have thought the titans it'd have been something different they started the game off nice drive yeah put three points on the board and then they disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle. Yes, they did, dude. That team, godly. Robert Solomon, you have your hands full, buddy. You have your hands full. Doesn't look like things are going too well right now for them offensively.
Starting point is 02:10:17 And I just can't imagine how it feels to be in a building where things aren't going well offensively, and you have a defensive-minded coach running the show. So it's going to be interesting what they can do there. And I feel like every media clip that comes out of Tennessee seems like the media there, I don't know if they're trying to bait Cam Ward into being an angry person or they're just asking to him.
Starting point is 02:10:48 They don't like Cam Ward. Some of them don't like Cam Ward. Cam Ward. Are you used to, I think they don't like about Cam Ward. Are you ready to be a loser? Something like that. Here's what they don't like about Cam Ward.
Starting point is 02:11:00 They don't like the fact that Cam Ward after losses doesn't look like he wants to kill himself. And that's fine with me. Like, what do you want him to do? Get up there with a Kleenex every week and wipe the tears from his eyes. I swear if they bench him,
Starting point is 02:11:18 which they said they're not going to do, but I can't believe we're talking about this because the team's bad. Yeah. And this is the way things go. He'll be the next Bryce Young. And last time they bench Bryce Young, I was on inside the NFL, and the first thing I said was the story's not over for him. I don't think the story's over for Cam Ward yet. But the big story in this game is the fact that Marvin Harrison Jr. is a Texan.
Starting point is 02:11:47 And we spent the entire weekend trying to figure out where the fuck Marvin Harrison Jr. is going. I've never seen that before. It was like a high school signing day thing with the hats and stuff. And Adam Schaefter's shuffling the hats. And Schaefter, who I guess is an investor in Kalshi is manipulating the market for Marvin Harrison Jr.'s destination. He's going here. Never mind. he's not going here uh and then you end up uh with him headed to houston all along um and what they
Starting point is 02:12:22 would they send for it was a two and a seven a pick swap yeah it was basically a two and then a late round pick swap yeah so i'm not gonna lie i hope it's an officer doofy situation for him if anyone is familiar you'll have to explain that with movies i hope that while he's leaving out of arizona and he's heading to houston but actually heading to london if you He's going to make it there for the game next week. He'll be there, bro. You got to worry about that main cut. Just like Officer Duffy, he should be taking off that old outfit and getting back into his old ways.
Starting point is 02:12:58 Because just as a fan of football, I think this kid was absolutely incredible in college, like off the walls, incredible. And just to see the tape and the stuff that's kind of out there that is on tape for him right now. And the NFL does not look good. So I'm hoping being back with his old college quarterback at one point and a breath of fresh air and a new organization will actually vote well. But you just don't want to come to fruition this week. Well, this year is like Houston Texans, by all means, like, yeah, this game is huge in the grand scheme of things for them, scratch and clawing any way they can to get in. But I'm not worried about the Texans this year. Petrie's, okay, clip that.
Starting point is 02:13:45 Don't clip it, but just hold it on to it until next week. So did you hear about the Petri injury? Petri is week to week is what I'm hearing. That's not great, especially coming into a matchup against the Jaguars. They just haven't had the same injury luck. You know, like, I don't know, you know, they look totally different in the middle of the field with the two linebackers being down for much of the season so far. But the Petrie thing would be tough.
Starting point is 02:14:10 So I think that's everybody's paying attention to Marvin Harrison Jr. I want to see what kind of a full deck they have or don't have going to London because those guys are really good in the middle of the field. And this is going to be a big matchup, as you put it, maybe not to win the division or something like that because that's never going to happen. But if they can't, oh, it's mathematically possible. Oh, yeah, yeah, it's too early. But if they beat the Jags this week, it does get more interesting.
Starting point is 02:14:36 It absolutely does. But I'll just say this. like this game's a classic bermuda triangle game was in the bermuda triangle for a reason and i'm sorry houston fans you we give you a lot of love on this show but this week it's all about the trade and you heard me and dom talking about it it's like houston listens to the show time to spread it out time to spread it out time to just ride the hot hand the hot hands the quarterback i mean he made a brilliant throw yesterday nico collins on the sideline on the right sideline evading pressure he has put the ball on the money all season long now it's
Starting point is 02:15:07 time to cash that in we'll see if they can do that with one more weapon it is kind of interesting to me though that they've got so many fucking six five receivers at this point i remember we we made we flamed brandon staley and he was like you know i was watching the last dance and i noticed everybody was tall and what you kind of won is a basketball team out there and then they forgot about the point guard uh they they forgot that on a basketball team they're big and small guys and I'm kind of worried that maybe from a body type standpoint, if Tank Dell is not where they want him to be, that they're all kind of the same guys.
Starting point is 02:15:45 And you talk about next year when you get Higgins back, he's a big guy too. So, you know, they definitely have a type. I'll say that. It's kind of an Al Davis thing going on down there. But I'm excited to see. Cleveland and the Jets, this is a true Bermuda Triangle game. it happened in a hurricane or a tropical cyclone.
Starting point is 02:16:10 Every game in New York is pissing rain. It was pissing rain yesterday. I watched that game back, and then Sunday night football turned on, and it was like somebody turned the lights on, bro. Like the camera quality, the lack of rain all over the field. Like people were sliding all over the place in MetLife,
Starting point is 02:16:32 but I would tell you this, this game can be honestly summarized in one picture that I took and I will text it to Cowboy. This is what we call on the fly production. I took this picture watching film last night of Deshawn Watson. Who was sacked eight times in this game? And I just want to show you what this game looked like from the end zone. And I'm going to send it to you, Cowboy Reed. As I talk about this, you can give people a visual cue.
Starting point is 02:17:01 but he was under duress for much of the game um eight sacks as a team there was so much money out on that field i'm telling you as a rusher when you're on a bad team not to say you're out for yourself but you got to pay the bills you got to pay the fucking bills you need to get you need production in a game like this where it's clear that the quarterback do you see what that look like that's what a pocket that's that's the most beautiful picture that's my mona lisa yeah A rock fight, a closing pocket. It's pissing rain.
Starting point is 02:17:35 You got two teams that aren't supposed to care about anything. Cleveland's won some games this year, but they're still Cleveland. You got the Jets who are almost certainly going to fire Aaron Glenn at some point this year whenever he does the next mind-numbing thing. But somehow, and this is a credit to Aaron Glenn, the defensive coach, he's getting these guys to play like their lives depend on it. And they found, listen, David Bailey, three sacks in this game. He's not the most polished rusher yet. You know, two of those came.
Starting point is 02:18:09 One of them's on a fumbled snap. The other one's on a free runner. But he plays his ass off. I have a lot of respect for the way he plays the game. Run and pass. He throws his body around. He hustles his ass off. There were plays late in this game where, you know,
Starting point is 02:18:28 that's what being a pass rusher in the end. NFL's all about. You're not going to get home necessarily early in the game. And he got a couple sacks on those free runner type deals. But late in the game, you just keep pounding the rock until the rock breaks. That's what Mike Waffle used to say from the Bermuda Triangle every Tuesday morning in our city, Missouri, in the eye of the storm, when we had all that talent on our D lines, but nobody watched and nobody gave a fuck. It was like, gentlemen, my only wish for you. He used to say it like this. My only wish for you is that you can feel the confetti falling down on your face. That's my only fucking wish for you guys.
Starting point is 02:19:07 And one day I got to feel that, but it was on another team. And he used to say, hey, you keep pounding the rock until the rock breaks. And that's what happened in this game is like they broke the damn. And I got to tell you, like, if I were a D-Lignment on this Jets team, the way they played, I would have been a pig in shit out there. Your fucking tapes falling off. your cleats are squishing around everybody's falling all over the place but there's money on the field dude and we're all like a pack of wild dogs trying to try to try to get in on the kill man some hyenas bro
Starting point is 02:19:40 that's what the jets played like yesterday some damn hyenas man and david bailey was the was the alpha hyena and it's not just him as will mcdonald too i mean they got a bunch of players up front but i fucking i love the way they they played yesterday and i know some of you were like why you still talking about this game because I had more fun watching this tape than I did any tape. This is an exciting game. This is my kind of game, dude. And it just wouldn't end. There was a point where Aaron Wilson, or Aaron Glenn trots, Garrett Wilson out on the field for the last third and six.
Starting point is 02:20:14 And everybody knows its run. And they stuffed the run. Cleveland had like four possessions in the fourth quarter, dude. It just wouldn't end. It wouldn't end. man what what it's like to be a freaking jets or a browns fan and i just want to say that yeah this game is a classic it was a classic rock fight classic and quintessential um Aaron Glenn dangling the the challenge flag is a great meme it's just like all time bro he's got a couple great
Starting point is 02:20:47 memes bro it's all time and it's just like for him to be like thinking whatever he's how he's thinking during the game to get some of these to get some of these memes bro it's so great it's so great i mean he because look at that dude like you know what that looks like your buddy your buddy holding the expensive bag of coke before he goes to the bathroom to try to lure you from across the room all right hit me with some more of these got you come on me with some more of these what we got next Lions Cardinals or? Yeah, fuck yeah, dude.
Starting point is 02:21:29 That's what they're waiting for, right? The lions aren't dead. The lions aren't dead. Oh, what a game for the defensive coordinator for the lions, right? You need a. I mean, he was on life support there.
Starting point is 02:21:40 You needed one of these, right? You know, and they doubled the man coverage, which to me was an eye-popping number considering like their backs are against the wall. Usually you don't want to play more man coverage when your team's struggling,
Starting point is 02:21:53 but maybe that's the answer for them. We'll see. I thought, I thought like the offense continued to kind of, they start the game in a slump. And for a moment there, I was like, oh, man,
Starting point is 02:22:07 does Nick Rawless know Drew Pittsing better than Drew Petzing? Better than Drew Petting knows Nick Rollis? Turned out they were just kind of getting their bearings. And they finished the game scoring on seven straight drives, dude. The lions look like, the offense looks like. in a different form, like the vintage
Starting point is 02:22:25 Lions' offenses of yesteryear, the early Dan Campbell era offenses, you know, like the before last year, shit. They are scoring over 30 points a game. I think they can hang with anybody offensively. At some point, they're going to get Cade Mays. I was going to call him
Starting point is 02:22:44 Cam Hayes. Cade Mays back. The guy they brought over from Carolina who they never got to really even see out there on the field, the center. So at some point, this offensive, of lines going to be intact. The defense, you're just grasping for straws at the positives, right? You know, we saw the man coverage tick up. I know
Starting point is 02:23:01 Scholar Gil Howard is a guy that we saw in training camp who's had some nice moments for them. They really liked him, and you know, he was probably one of the first players I noticed out on the field. Like, I saw him anchor a double team, and I'm like, bro, you fit this guy in a shoebox, and he's out here just
Starting point is 02:23:17 battling, dude. So, you know, there's a lot of positives that come out of that game. And if you're a Lions fan, like, you go into the buy and you have a chance to get Brian Branch back. And I think everybody this year was like, oh, the Lions are dead. They don't have Ben Johnson.
Starting point is 02:23:36 Oh, oh. Oh, my God. Oh, Ben Johnson. He took his shirt off. Oh, no. Oh, he called out the Packers coach. Oh, the Bears are going to the Super Bowl. Oh, the lions are dead.
Starting point is 02:23:49 Drew Petsing sucks. I don't like OCs that aren't good looking. And then all they do is score fucking 35 points a game. Here's why I got a soft spot for the Lions. And you can fucking shoot me for it. Dan Campbell is a great coach and his culture is important there. You want to talk about like we talked about Nick Siriani earlier today? and you know if you're a walk-around coach
Starting point is 02:24:22 you know like hey Dan Campbell's got a positional coaching background in the NFL first off he's a former player but he's also got such a good pulse on his football team bro he's just such a like if he weren't the coach of the Detroit lines and I was an owner of a football team
Starting point is 02:24:40 I would throw the book at him the only tough thing is you got to go through the Ben Johnson sweepstakes where he leaves and gets a job and that sort of thing because your offense is elevating coordinators. But I just love Dan Campbell. And I buy stock in Dan Campbell, dude. I'm sorry, yes.
Starting point is 02:24:58 Does he resonate with me as a man, as a Homo sapien? We're the same. You know, there's a lot of things that I see in Dan Campbell that I see myself as a middle-aged man, you know? Former player. You know, he fucking, he's a meatball. But he's also got a tremendous amount of empathy. He's got emotional intelligence.
Starting point is 02:25:21 He's a really good leader. And those are the things that you can get behind in the team. And he shoots those fucking guys straight. So I just, I believe in the lions. And you won't hear me giving up on the Dan Campbell Lions. Not unless you give up 60 points a game. Oof. They give up 60 points a game.
Starting point is 02:25:37 And that's enough. That's not doable. All right. Let me ask you something. Yes. For the Cardinals and the Cardinals fans, where's the Love? What are we doing with Jordan Love right now? Oh, where's the love?
Starting point is 02:25:50 Yeah. Well, obviously, you're, you're just waiting until you're good, right? You don't want to wear the guy out. Is that, is that the plan? I mean, I feel like Brissette. I feel like Brissette. I feel like Brissette is doing. They're not good yet.
Starting point is 02:26:04 They're just not. He's being decent. I know, but being decent. They're going to be decent all year and then. Only 21 years old, but he did get a healthy amount of running college. Yeah. So, you know, I do, I kind of wonder, like, you know people killed him over drafting a running back i'm not sure it's the right move we'll see
Starting point is 02:26:22 but give him the bag but you know if you're going to draft the running back then don't kill him and give him 500 carries his first two years okay right like you know like maybe just bide your time until it's time i i don't know i can't explain it dude i you think i cardinals are getting into the stratosphere of like like they're paying rent in the bermuda triangle like that's where they're going to be living now for a while. So, um. What up, Brissette? See you next week, buddy.
Starting point is 02:26:54 Okay. But Jacoby's my guy, dude. I love fucking Jacobi. I think he's a capable quarterback. I think that's what I'm saying. It's just like, I feel like they have a decent squad over there. All right. So here's, because, you know, somebody in the chat said I got a man crush.
Starting point is 02:27:09 It's true. I love Dan Campbell. I make no apologies about that. What it is for me is I imagine myself as a player, who would I run through a wall for. Who would I run through a wall for? I'm imagining myself as a player. He's top three run through a wall for guys.
Starting point is 02:27:25 Well, I don't know Liam Cohen, but I would imagine I'd like playing for Liam Cohen. I mean, I met him once at the Super Bowl. He's cool as fuck. You know Dan Campbell? I know Dan Campbell a little bit. I've interviewed him. Okay. You know, every once in a while I text Dan.
Starting point is 02:27:38 You know, one of my best friends, John Phillips, Johnny Football. Yep. Me and him, we've spent many an hour on the river telling him. He's told me Dan Campbell's stories because he played with Dan Campbell. What up, Dan Campbell? I think with Dan Campbell. Dan Campbell was in Dallas. So I just, you know, I'm a buyer in the whole Lions thing.
Starting point is 02:27:59 And you know what? Last year, I told Lions fans at the beginning of the season, it won their year. And they got super mad at me, but I'm glad you guys are back. And you know that I don't hate the team. I'm just, I'm America's honesty broker in the words of Colin Coward. so i never thought i'd say that but here i am um okay Cincinnati Miami who is what who's the white gus johnson calling that game dude
Starting point is 02:28:28 who was that guy he's electric seriously dude you who is this guy he's a basketball play-by-play guy is he yeah they had like an NBA guy eric Collins and you had mark schlerler what up car I don't think it's your cousin. You don't know.
Starting point is 02:28:47 You guys don't know. So he's Ruben Baines. That's a dynamic duo. Eric Collins and Schlereth. Well, I'm in for a surprise, I guess. Anyways, who's the other Gus Johnson? Who's the other Gus Johnson calling this game? But he's the,
Starting point is 02:29:18 bar for more! He stole my blow He was like a 41 to 6 game He's like bro, what's it all? Yes! I was like, yeah, he threw the ball off to T. Higgins. T. Higgins catches a lot of these. If you haven't, go watch some highlight reels of his hornet.
Starting point is 02:29:42 Oh, I bet he's electric. I thought he was a big net positive. Fan favorite. But it's like we got a Gus Johnson tree guy here. Yes. He's a Gus Johnson tree guy. But man, you should put him on a lot. This guy's fucking, this guy rocks, dude.
Starting point is 02:29:58 And the fact that I knew, like, it was framed in a sense of, like, hey, he's a basketball guy. Like, I just think that's super fun and interesting. That he's like, man, like, this league, really is, this league's fucking serious. And if you watch this game or not, I don't know if Miami, they have learned their lessons or not from the whole tank for two a thing. But, like, I think they're doing it again. I think they're trying to find a way.
Starting point is 02:30:21 ethical tank. No, yeah, they're doing it again. In the words of Greg Rosenthal, he tweeted this. This has been a perfect tank by the dolphins, what we would call an ethical tank. Rookie class looks great, competitive every week. Coaching staff makes sense. Still 0.5. And they are.
Starting point is 02:30:38 It's hard to argue with anything in that statement. Yeah, but where's the ethics in making Malik Willis the sacrificial land? That's the hard part for me because I really like Malik. Me too. And maybe Malik Willis. can be the benefactor of this youth movement when it all lines up, but I doubt it. You know how these things go.
Starting point is 02:31:00 No, because you're going to put me through the ringer. I know. And then you're going to try to go get arch and then want me to be the, you want me to be the mature veteran to just welcome this kid in. Showing the ropes. Like, right? And show, I'm going to show this kid the ropes while you guys do everything that I wanted you guys to do for me to make the situation better.
Starting point is 02:31:21 You're going to do for him? Yeah. Fat chance. Good luck. Well, dude, again, I couldn't tell the team was tanking out there because Eric Collins was bringing the fucking heat, dude. Maybe that's part of the plan. They're like, hey, we need him to commentate all our games.
Starting point is 02:31:37 All the Dolphins games. So it doesn't look like we're tanking. No, Eric Collins got to be on all the dolphins games. By the way, you know, maybe it's a Bevel Conway. Maybe I need to, but like, I think that that was, that's a beautiful looking. When every other TV's got rain or something going, that's a beautiful day in South Florida. The orange was popping.
Starting point is 02:32:00 I thought it was a fun game to watch from what I saw. The kick return from Dante Myers. I keep talking about this kid. I mean, the stage game, he has got a crazy zero to 60. I mean, they found something in this dude. Battle ends up with two picks after that whole thing, which was hilarious because, Initially, when he said it, you know, he's like, hey, Malik Willis,
Starting point is 02:32:25 Pat's the ball. I was like, you don't want to share a secret like that. You fucking... And they go out there and get two? Right, no, but here's what's so funny about it. I don't think it's a... I don't think... At first I was like, man, you don't pump the brakes, bro.
Starting point is 02:32:39 You don't share that secret. You do. And then I was like, that's not really a secret. Every quarterback pat's the ball. I'm sitting at home, like, what did I just say today? Like, did I react like an idiot? And then it turns out that he gets two picks, but I don't think they had anything to do with him.
Starting point is 02:32:51 pat in the ball, bro. It's just serendipitous. Yeah. And so, yeah, battle gets the last laugh with the two picks. But Burroughs frustrated. He's frustrated because the last two weeks he's failed in the big moment.
Starting point is 02:33:09 And just be honest as I can't. I think Burroughs a really good player, but like you can't give the ball away at the end of the game. And so you're coming to this game, like, we really want to put this team away and not make it an interesting deal and at the end of the game you're ending up fielding an onside kick in a game that you should just you should just be in cruise control in the second half so so i think that's the frustration with even if if the bengals get a win you're kind of like man why can't we just fully put it the fuck
Starting point is 02:33:39 together man and i you know i get it like for burr to be frustrated after a win like that it's it makes a lot of sense but the other thing that should be noted is the the the games that puts you in a bad mood you kind of had a hand in them so um yeah that that i think that's the bermuda triangle is it not is there anything else that happened in the bermuda triangle that fucking one hand catch by chase jemar chase was absolutely crazy oh he's he's just he's incredible that just has to be like for a defender just to be playing your heart out against like one of the best and like you go out for a jump ball he's the best no yeah exactly right wouldn't you say he's the best yes yes yes yes yes I put Jefferson up there obviously.
Starting point is 02:34:24 Yeah, they're up there. But like, to me, you can do so many things with Jamar Chase. Like you can, you can, that you get. The way he did with one arm and secure it, just to be a defender and get up and see that ref throw those hands up and you're just hoping like, ah, maybe hit the ground or maybe he didn't possess it. And sure enough, yeah. He got into my Facebook.
Starting point is 02:34:51 You found my password? No, no, not yet. Okay. Almost. Okay. I'll do this ad read right here in the triangle. One thing I've learned since retiring is recovery used to be the thing that got you to Sunday. Now recovery is the goal.
Starting point is 02:35:07 And it's every day. And creatine is every day for me. And create gummies are every day for me. And the packets are first thing in the morning. So I do the packets in the morning. I get my, you know, my five grams of creatine. It's got the touring in there. And then in the afternoon, if I need a little pick-me-up, I'll hit a couple of the gummies.
Starting point is 02:35:26 So I'm on the packets. I'm on the gummies. Nobody's paying me to be sore anymore. I train so I can still get up off the floor when my kids run into me and shit. It's a full-contact sport, you know, being a dad. And, you know, I also need to be mentally sharp because, although you might not be impressed by this, what you're looking at here is a C-minus student, breaking down 32 NFL teams every week by 2.30 p.m. on Monday. I need my creatine for that, dude.
Starting point is 02:35:57 Like, organizationally, I just feel out of sorts if I don't have it. So, um, got to get your create packets, get your create gummies, but, but the packets are just next level. Um, this is what my day looks like now. I get up. Uh, I take the creatine. I try to get in the gym every day. I mean, people at home, I know there's a creatine, um, ad read, but you should get your damn exercise. Come on. Just make sure you're sweating every day, make sure you're moving every day. It makes a big difference for me. And the creatine packet's got the electrolytes in there, which keep me going. So, you know, I train hard, I get dehydrated, I get depleted. And I want to recover faster. So, you know, it's NSF certified for sport, third-party tested every batch made with Crea Pure.
Starting point is 02:36:39 And creatine's like the most tested supplement of all times. So, you know, I'm somebody that I don't even take Advil when I'm sick. Like, honestly, I don't, like, I'm like one of these people. I'm not like a Scientologist or some shit. But I definitely, I don't think there's enough Scientologists out there to be worried about offending anybody, right? Tom Cruise might roll up. But I don't take, I just don't take medicine like that. I don't, I very, when I was a player, I didn't like taking supplements. I didn't like, you know, it's just everything's so sketchy.
Starting point is 02:37:09 This is not sketchy. This is the meat and potatoes of being an athlete into your 40s. You don't even need to be an athlete, honestly. You could just be a person. You need your creatine. Shout out to create. Let's leave the triangle. Create.
Starting point is 02:37:32 Dude, I am so hyped about tonight. I know we're going to do the mentions. I'm so hyped about tonight because my kids, or my kids, I should say my kids, but like honestly my seven-year-old is usually a lot. No, it's more about my kids pick one game a week that they're allowed to stay up for. I got 10, 7, and 3. Obviously, 3-year-olds asleep. 7-year-olds are asleep by half.
Starting point is 02:37:58 But my 10-year-old's like a 38-year-old man, dude. Like, that's just his personality. And he loves, like, staying up and watching ball and talking ball and, like, just reacting the way I would react. Like, is this guy serious? Get him out of here. You know, he's 10. So I get to watch the whole game with Waylon,
Starting point is 02:38:15 and I'm hyped about that. And that's going to be a really good game tonight. So a lot to look forward to. We'll get through these mentions. And then we'll talk about, I do want to play guest lines before we roll out. And then I'll give you a little prediction on tonight. We'll work through it.
Starting point is 02:38:30 Because honestly, people are like, hey, you know, I'm sure you have a read on Monday night. I don't until 7 o'clock because we just don't look. You know, we got all these games to worry about. So, all righty, let's do it. Dan Graziano Sack Award. To start out, I'm giving it to Zach Allen. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 02:38:56 Zach Allen, huge play, taking the ball off Herbert in the fourth quarter of that game. That's why you play the game. And, you know, to do it in front of a home crowd like he did, because the fucking Chargers can't pack that stadium worth a damn. Like, there was a lot of orange in there. I think Zach Allen made one of the biggest, if not the biggest, play of the game in a low-scoring football game. That's why you play the game. sack allen in this exercise that's exactly right nice i like that i got a i got a good one for i got a good
Starting point is 02:39:32 word you guys about testicles what do you sack allen scroat allen all right who's next my dan graziano sack award is going to it's probably the first time it's going to a quarterback I'm giving it to Jaden Daniels for sacking himself. Oh, that's just fucking chest, dude. For sacking himself and causing a tie. I literally in the group chat, three minutes before that game ended, I said in the group chat, I was like, this game is going to end in a tie. Just the way the Giants and everything was going, I was like,
Starting point is 02:40:10 this is just one of those games. And then they got the ball, and I'm like, oh, maybe someone's actually going to win this game. And then Jaden Daniels decided. to do whatever it was and I still don't understand any of the explanations I know you're supposed to keep it in house but it just seemed like everyone on all levels was confused about what was maybe going on and that is very very disciplined I would love to know what was going on oh me too dude like me we don't do fly in the wall anymore but we could just do fly in the wall what the fuck happened there please and another thing when the eagle
Starting point is 02:40:49 When the Eagles do what they did and people are asking the quarterback, how he explains the end of the game, it really isn't his job. No. It's not his job. No. It's the coach's job. It's all those people with all those microphones, the green dots and all this stuff. It's just like somebody has to say something. Like there has to, like, and also, too, is just for me, just knowing we're ex-players, I know all coaches are different.
Starting point is 02:41:12 And maybe, like, we were blessed in college and, like, we had a coach like Al Groh. But we just go over situational football stuff all the fucking time that it was like drilled in our head Like nonstop that that something like that it just it doesn't it like it doesn't happen and even the situation I remember he used to lean in and when coach grow he would like whisper like he'd be up at the podium and be like all right guys here's the situation here's the situation and so there's like anybody who played virginia football from back in the day like if you if you text your buddy okay here's the situation. I know exactly what you're talking about. Don't know what situation is going to be, but he used to be like pop quiz, motherfucker. Yep.
Starting point is 02:41:54 Like. But you will be ready, you'll be ready for all that stuff. I don't know, I don't know how NFL teams botched this stuff. It's incredible to me, how many times, and good coaches too. I've seen this happen to where it's like, because you would think that. Kind of wonder if it's an ego thing that they don't want to just like totally delegate it to somebody else. If you're not good at it, like fucking delegate it.
Starting point is 02:42:18 But it's one of those things, too. I just feel like if this happened, like, I feel like every NFL, like this should be playing today in every NFL building. Like every building, like, hey, guys, this will never happen to us. Which is what made, which is, hey, and then you quiz your quarterback. Hey, quarterback, what would you do right here? Oh, I'll clock it or I'll throw it out of bounds or whatever. It's just one of those things where that just seemed fucking weird.
Starting point is 02:42:43 Which is what made what happened in Rio followed by what happened in Cleveland. Nobody paid attention to that maybe because it was Cleveland in Pittsburgh late in that game. But like just in the, hey, you see Monkin on the side of the other. Like what the fuck are we doing? Like, but yeah, like it falls on you, man. Like even if your guy forgets it, like you can't let your kicker has one job, either kicking in bounds or whatever. But it comes up in all these situations.
Starting point is 02:43:08 So best flight. Best flight. You can start it off. Easy. You gotta give it to the Niners, right? Quick flight from, it's not that far from Seattle, back down to San Fran, get a nice physical, physical win versus some rivals.
Starting point is 02:43:25 It's feeling great, looking at replays and highlights, and looking at memes of Mike Evans, messing with digs. It's probably an amazing fight. And then on top of it, like, you got all the training staff running around and just getting ready for a day off, maybe a victory Monday, but best fight, Niners for sure.
Starting point is 02:43:48 Two hours. Two hours. I'm going to go out of a limb. It's a longer flight, but like I used to leave the desert as an NFC West guy, living in the Midwest, a little rejuvenated. We'd go down there, get two days in the desert, maybe beat the Cardinals, maybe not beat the Cardinals. But you get on the plane after a win.
Starting point is 02:44:10 And Detroit needed that win. They needed not just to win that game, but to put the fire out a little bit defensively. And, like, I know the Cardinals aren't great, but they've been able to score on people, and Detroit's been terrible. And the offense puts up 45. I do think, you know, that team has a closeness about them.
Starting point is 02:44:33 They've been together to be able to get on a plane with your buddies after win like that. It's a big relief. And it's a long flight, but I'm sure they were flying in pretty good shape there. Detroit's probably got a nice plane. Maybe there's some crown apple on the plane. I'm not saying they had it or they didn't,
Starting point is 02:44:48 but we used to have some crown on the plane. I know that's not allowed it anymore. Taylor Heineke used to, what do you mean what I know about crown apple? White guys don't drink no crown apple. I played defensive line, dude. What do you think? We had crown vanilla.
Starting point is 02:45:08 We had flavors. Shout out to Manitoba where I was in Canada. That's where it's from. That's where it's made. Yeah. But we had flavors of crown that I'd never heard of, dude. I was like, where are we getting these? And good thing is, if you're going to drink, there's not much sugar in Crown Apple.
Starting point is 02:45:26 So the hangover's not going to be awful when you're dehydrated as fuck, headed home from a game. Okay, worst flight? Easy, right? The Eagles. It's terrible. Man, it was probably already a terrible flight going out there. You're starting tackle retires. You just trade your center.
Starting point is 02:45:49 You got guys, you got half your offensive ball carriers hurt or injured. And trying to go get a win. And then you think you guys are going to get out of London with a win, eight seconds away from getting out of there with a win, and probably being on the best flight list to, getting back on that flight from London to Philadelphia. Oh, I know that was a tough one. I know that was a tough one.
Starting point is 02:46:17 The only person on that flight probably smiling is Jalen Carter just looking at his replays like, damn, I killed this game. Yeah, good luck. You'd be the one until Jaylon stopped smiling after a game. Exactly. Like, I killed this game, but yeah, that probably just wasn't not a good flight.
Starting point is 02:46:33 And I already said it. I could just imagine what the front office is just going through already right now, just all the you know how it is i mean when you lose games and all the outside noise outside noise gets louder the more you lose and for a team already going through a lot i could just imagine that flight just being being the worst i think worst flight you know you picked a really good one um man we could have given the buck's best flight because that that was fun when a team needs a win you know like it's just that i don't care how bad you are you know the rest of the the year's going to be hell but if you can just have one three hour happy plane ride like i don't care if
Starting point is 02:47:14 you land at five in the morning it's it's good to ride home with your boys worst flight other than the eagles probably the raiders man you know it's just a big dose of reality and and i still think they're like they're ahead of schedule and like they're a tough out that's far you know but it's a long flight you just you just when you give up 45 points on the road it kind of feels like oh so we're not good like I'm just telling you because I've been there on teams like where early in the season you think oh maybe we got a shot and then you go play somebody and you know that that happens and it's all the big plays I swear when you lose like that on the road you can I say this but you can still hear the the noise when you lay in bed at night like you you know the crowds in your head
Starting point is 02:48:01 like Ben Johnson last night trying to go to bed here those little minut they don't see those little minute men chewing those guns yeah you're hearing the guns go off you're hearing a bunch of fucked up accents yelling fuck you like or whatever you know but yeah I would say worst flight probably the Raiders oh man uh bevel conway I got a bevel conway it's kind of outside the the norm I think dude I do is anybody watch college football sometimes I do Georgia Southern has some really nice unis. Okay, I'm not saying that they're the best or anything, but
Starting point is 02:48:41 maybe it was, they played JMU the other night. You guys probably saw it. They lost the GMU. Oh, my God. Fucking guys. But believe me, I watched the end of the game. My big takeaway was like, what is that shade of blue?
Starting point is 02:48:56 It is such a great shade of blue. And they kind of got the old school Penn State thing going on, but with a different arrangement and that official color is navy blue. I don't see a lot of navy blue that looks like that. That navy blue is popping under the lights, man. It is, they got really cool uniforms. I just shout out to Georgia Southern.
Starting point is 02:49:18 Nice. My Beville Conway is the little kid in the Eagle stuff crying into his dad's midsection at the end of that game. It's just like the camera people, it was just, just amazing. They show Cam Little running off, like, as this kick is going through, and then they start panning at shots. They're showing them celebrate. Everyone's celebrating. It's great. And then they show this kid. And he's crying his eyes out. Did he just? And that is so great. You got to learn early, guys. You got to learn early, kid. You got to play. You have to play until the clock says zero,
Starting point is 02:50:02 zero zero you learned a valuable valuable valuable lesson this game and at the very least your parents bought you the fire ass kelly green jerseys like you have the you have the great you have the great jersey i don't know whose number that is i don't know if that's double zero what kind of jersey that is but hey clock you got to play till zero you got to play that you got to play until zero man and that was my bevel like as a jags fan that that kid is never going to relax again during a football game became and that's the thing about being a young football fan like like my son will be like this uva man this uva game like it's never easy with them and i'm like bro you have been on this earth 10 years you have no idea no idea i've been alive i've been a part of 20 straight losses to virginia tech i've been
Starting point is 02:50:51 i've seen 161 upsets i've seen 10 two upsets i've seen it all and you're always waiting for the the shoe to drop and that kid who's presumably under 10 years old who you're making fun up for crying thank you very much mate the devil man you bad guy you that kid might not remember the last super bowl he might not really like that might not be a core memory but maybe it is but you know like seeing shit like that happen in person can scar you he'll never like he'll never assume anything again about a football game but you know what's great about the game too a lot of those people that were in those green jerseys and there were a lot of eagles fans there they're going to be in jaggs jerseys next week bro they're literally it's the same people are out there i think they just love football
Starting point is 02:51:38 or they just love the thought of it it's something different that's coming there and it's like hollewan out there you just you know like it's like hey trevor lord who's in the game that's why it doesn't it doesn't it does it but i want to go to a londing game so bad i just didn't want to go to this one because you know i was tired no honestly i couldn't even think about getting on a plane Um, but yeah, yeah, yeah, that, that poor kid. Ha, ha, ha. Okay, anti-bevel Conway. The ugliest scene in sports this weekend.
Starting point is 02:52:12 I've got one Nate bullying kids. Yeah. That's a pretty good one. Doobo. The ugliest. I'm trying to think it's not really. Go ahead, because I don't know if I. fucking green-based jerseys were atrocious i don't really like them me either they were atrocious
Starting point is 02:52:33 to me and i don't know i think it's i don't like when they maybe the curse of numbers like cursive is like i feel like it's supposed to be for like letters not numbers or i i don't know it just they're not they're not terrible but it's like when you have something so good yeah and i don't i don't mind the numbers at all i think the numbers are actually dope i just like when you have something that works so well. Why ever change it up? They have such a classic. And I understand like they sometimes they wear those Acme Packers
Starting point is 02:53:05 like brown pants and yellow shoulder. Are they allowed to do a cheese helmet? I don't think they're as bad as you said. Are they allowed to do that? Why haven't they? The numbers are money theme, Nate? I think the numbers
Starting point is 02:53:19 are cool actually. Like I'll take it back. I mean, when you win like that, it doesn't matter. Wear what that, whatever you want. But to me, I just feel like they could do better. The old school is not. I feel like that's why we got rid of and they moved on for a lot of these jerseys.
Starting point is 02:53:37 It's for a reason. But I understand what they're doing, but at the same time, to me, that was my anti-bevil. It's not really appealing to me. I don't really have one this week. I'm going to keep it positive. NFL week five had nothing ugly.
Starting point is 02:53:50 It was nothing ugly. Best seat. Best seat I'm giving it to Marvin Harris. Harrison Jr. Like a guy who's probably as a high pick, a lot of pressure, shown some promise, not in the right place, probably will look better at his next stop for sure. And he knows it sitting there probably feeling like he's rotting away, having people question his effort, question his talent.
Starting point is 02:54:19 And maybe they're right. I don't know. We'll see. But at the very least, he gets a fresh start and he gets a lifeline. and he gets a whole weekend of people clamoring for his services on the internets. And, you know, for a minute, it kind of feels like you're the man again. And you get a ticket to catch footballs from a guy who you caught footballs from on the biggest stage in college. So I think things are immediately going to get better for him.
Starting point is 02:54:47 How much better we'll see. But best seat for sure. No, I'm just going to leave that there because that was. pretty much mine too. Just feel like for everything that's going on in Arizona with him and what's been on tape, I hope it's a situation where, yeah, like we said earlier, it's a breath of fresh air and he finds the love of football or whatever it is, whatever his deep down motivation is.
Starting point is 02:55:17 He just needs to find separation. Got to find that too. That would be the number one thing I want to see. Maybe that comes from motivation. Whatever it is. Separation, motivation. Right. Whatever it is, I do want to see it because I keep saying just the kids college tape and how good he was.
Starting point is 02:55:35 It's just, it would just be a generational fall off. Well, listen, I mean, like, it's up to the fans who they want to hype. Like, two years ago or whatever, or three years ago or whatever, like, do you remember the talk around Marvin Harrison, Jr.? All the people now who are like, this guy's a bust. this guy's terrible this guy does it we knew it oh we knew it big guys don't separate and like you don't oh but three years ago it was like yo this guy's the second coming like you know it's just this is the way it goes it's hard to evaluate these guys and and sometimes your game doesn't translate to the pros the way it did in college and so a lot of people are like staring at marvin
Starting point is 02:56:19 harrison junior expecting him to be something different than he is while when the reality is he probably just needs to be in the best possible situation that's possible situation and you know for him like when he's in arizona you know every game he takes the field he's got this this feeling of like hey i'm the high draft pick and i'm not producing for whatever reason you know um and it could be scheme fit it could be anything but the minute you you put that houston uniform on it's a fresh start nobody in houston is mad at your front office for what they invested in you the only thing you're on the line for is a two they went and got they went and fucking traded you traded for you hopefully if this team's any good it's not a high
Starting point is 02:57:02 two it's a lower two and you know there's less pressure on you so i you know just go out there and and uh and fucking have fun man i you know i i'm rooting for the guy uh worst seat yeah i got i already gave you my worst seat seat i'm giving it to your boy j j mccarthy did you see him before the game no oh yeah sitting in the rain indian style in the rain yeah yeah yeah yep in the middle of a torrent crisscross applesauce for anybody this one oh i'm sorry no don't apologize to me that's the youtube tv thing we see between games like enjoy the zen yeah enjoy the enjoy the zen that's exactly what he's doing he's enjoying the zen. But the funny thing is, knowing his little genzy ass, whatever he is, he's not listening
Starting point is 02:57:59 to anything Zen in his headphones. Exactly. He's not listening to like Drow rap or something. Right? He's sitting there calm like that, listening to just like some King Vaughn or something. Getting ready. But the best part about it is, he sat like that to get, what, a couple of plays as Wildcat quarterback to get fucking crushed. It's so great. I'm not rooting against him. I'm not rooting against JJ McCarthy. Do I think he looks like a good quarterback so far in his NFL career?
Starting point is 02:58:34 Not at all. But I want him to, like, anybody gets a fresh start. I like to see him play well. So, I mean, at some point, you know, I hope he does get an opportunity. You remember James and Taysam? Is that what they're trying to do again? Do you think he's Taysom? No, do they do the Giants?
Starting point is 02:58:51 Ain't the fucking way he's Taysam. I mean, maybe that's what they thought. Like, you remember, James used to do it. The two-quarterback thing, we could do it here. Well, no, but one of them could take a checkdown for 35 yards and, like, put his shoulder into somebody. This guy's a quarterback. I had a worse seat, but I don't want to get divisive here.
Starting point is 02:59:12 Ooh, do it. I'm not going to do it. All right, all right. Worst seat. Anybody who's going to watch the live stream of that execution that Pete Hickset is talking about doing. What a fucking moron he is, dude. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 02:59:27 What a fucking moron, dude. That guy can get fucked, but I just want to say, if you think you're going to be able to dissuade the next psychopath from doing something because you shot him on TV, you're an even bigger idiot than I thought. No, especially with the way. We don't need to go any further. Yeah. Because you can say it.
Starting point is 02:59:46 Go ahead. Say it. I'm just saying. But a couple people are going to be triggered in here over that. The reason why it's not going to do anything is we're all. fucking desensitized and like whatever we're going to see on that day if you watch it like I feel like you scroll on your internet sometime and you accidentally see that shit daily I'm just saying we are now it's a it's a new low we are just weird we have lost the plot a little bit but
Starting point is 03:00:07 uh but yeah enjoy that that uh pay-per-view of an execution it's so nuts I thought I thought it was like when I seen the first I was just like is this real back to football hollow man um Hollow man. Jim Harbaugh. Okay. Jim Harbaugh is the hollow man because this, my algorithm brought me this video this morning, which was him talking to Michael Irvin about, um, he's like, I'm just going to call my, my shop, Babe Bruce style here. Justin Herbert before it's said and done will be the greatest quarterback to ever play the position.
Starting point is 03:00:49 And Chris Carter, or, uh, Michael Irvin was like, Coach, you mean that. He hit him with the, Coach, you mean that. He's like, I absolutely mean it. Like, he is going to be the, the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. They're averaging less points per game
Starting point is 03:01:07 than the Ryan Leaf 1 in 15 team. And as bad as I think Herbert has been and as incomplete of a player as I think he is, ultimately at this point, he ain't Ryan Leaf. Like, how could he get? get this bad and like at some point fucking Jim Harbaugh is probably on the outs there I'm sorry but like when you're a walk-around coach the way you know Sirianni is or shit and I thought I thought
Starting point is 03:01:37 I thought he was uh I thought he was uh um I thought he was awesome in San Francisco like the attitude that that team played with the whole thing I think they they've just there's been too many missteps, too many injuries, and then also just when the quarterback, when you call a shot like that, and you're like, he's going to be the best to ever play. And then he plays this way. I could just make Justin Herbert the hollow man, but I think Harbaugh is just, like, to me, I don't want to hear another quote. I don't want to hear another Harbaughism. I'm over him. I'm just over it. Like, honestly, I don't even want to cover the Chargers. It's like, how many times can we say the same thing every week.
Starting point is 03:02:20 They're terrible. Hollow man. I'm giving it to myself. I had the neurovirus last week, and as of today, I'm literally hollow guys. Lost about 15 pounds. Lost about 15 pounds.
Starting point is 03:02:39 We're sure it's the neurovirus. Say it again? It's the neurovirus? It wasn't Arby's. Say again? It wasn't Arby's. Oh, no, you can get, I mean... He tried to blame Arbys.
Starting point is 03:02:50 So if you look up the norovirus, neural virus and, like, food poisoning is, like, hand in hand. They're basically, it's the same thing. Like, you get the norovirus from unprepared food and or contaminated or whatever it is, but whatever it was in me, not anymore. Literally hollow. And I just want to say, shout out to hello,
Starting point is 03:03:19 for the bidet that they sent because that thing was working overtime. Hellotushy.com. promo code Dr. Fax if you guys want to grab yourself a bidet because that thing, it helped me through some hard times this past couple of days. Good for your gut microbiome. Everything. Everything.
Starting point is 03:03:41 And I don't know. Keep that but hole clean, man. And I don't know about GLP and Ozympic and all that. But if you get the norovirus boy, it's working quicker than commercials. They're talking about they losing fucking 45 pounds in seven months. Yeah. I did about a damn there, 20 pounds. Are you contagious anymore?
Starting point is 03:04:01 Like, no. You sure about that? Yeah. Yeah, bro, you're like within a four-foot radius of him. I mean, you guys were here last week. Literally hollow. I mean, if you guys were going to get it. You got no more poo.
Starting point is 03:04:17 Oh man Literally hollow That's crazy bro I'm taking the hollow man Shout out to you man I'm sorry you had to deal with that And um You know
Starting point is 03:04:25 I'm sorry you couldn't pin it on Arby's You know Because you tried He tried it in the group text all week He was like We weren't giving him the like The sympathy that I think he was Understandably wanting
Starting point is 03:04:38 But he was like Every third text was like Yeah just shit my pants Like Like nobody cares And it was y'all's It was the steak tips from the other day. Like, anyways.
Starting point is 03:04:51 Oh, man. Like, there were a lot of texts, weren't there? Yeah. Like, he was on it, bro. And I don't blame me, because honestly, it could be a workers' comp thing, dude. It could be a workers' comp thing. At the time when it was happening, it was more just trying to figure out, like, everything I, like, that could have happened. Yeah.
Starting point is 03:05:09 And, like, no, the two things that, like, it literally could have been, it, if it wasn't the RVs, it was. It was, I chaperoned, I chaperoned a fucking, a kid's, what is it called? Field trip. Yeah. Last week. Yeah. Being around a bunch of fucking dirty kids also. So it's either or take your pick, but we're over, we're over it.
Starting point is 03:05:36 Don't hope that on anybody, it was. No, man. Shit was painful. Listen, we were climbing Killy. We had this one dude. Oh, man. Shout out to him. I can't even think about that.
Starting point is 03:05:46 We were on a school trip. and these kids were running around with this homemade ice cream and I looked to my right and he's eating the homemade ice cream in one of the villages and when I tell you he was shitting like like instantly like for two weeks up the mountain it felt like I'm like you just can't make decisions like that so you didn't eat something like the kids brought no the only thing the only thing I don't want a victim blame no I'm not trying to victim blame either and I don't want to call out anyone but you know the mountain that everyone goes to out here to pick apples and stuff they have donuts don't do that it's not the donuts that's all I had
Starting point is 03:06:31 it's not the armies of the donuts you guys are asking me what and I ate you might have literally all I had the entire day there like literally just one of those and I split it with my daughter and she didn't get sick either so I'm like like we both would have got sick If it was that, maybe, maybe not. But who knows, it's over with now. All right. So we got STL Memorial. I guess I'll give it to Calais Campbell,
Starting point is 03:07:00 who set the record for D. Lyman games played. Amazing. Just to think, I could have said it if I just played another eight, nine year. It's crazy. Wait, you guys were rookies together, right? Yeah. That's fucking nuts, bro.
Starting point is 03:07:17 It's so nuts. Just think about like... You did 11, 12? I did 11. And this is 20 or 19 for him? Something like that. Something fucking... And every year I'd see him...
Starting point is 03:07:25 God. Every year I'd see him and be like, bro, you sure you don't want to like... Do what I'm doing? Like, it's less painful. I guess for him it's not so painful because he's huge, you know? And now they're letting him drop in coverage. I see him dropping in coverage every other... Every other game?
Starting point is 03:07:40 He is one of the most unique players in NFL history. And, you know, I don't know who he... Whose record he broke, but there was a guy... I don't know if Jeff Scanina was up there on the list, but Jeff Scenina was a guy in St. Louis that used to talk about that played like, played like eons, bro. They said he lived at the facility, lived at the facility. He was like a 40-year-old detackle.
Starting point is 03:08:03 And you just don't see older guys like that, three texts or, you know, you see an old long snapper, a kicker, a quarterback, you know, but you never see Lyman that old. And so I just, you know, like, I think, I think somebody said split screening this in the NLCS. I don't even know the NLCS was happening. Tide 1-1 right now.
Starting point is 03:08:24 Well, who's playing? Dodgers Brewers. Really? Those are the last two? No. In the NL. In the NL? Who's the last two in the A.L?
Starting point is 03:08:33 Ray's Guardians. Dude, it needs to be Ray's Dodgers for the uniform's sake, and the rays need to wear their old... The throwback... The Manor-Rae joints. But as you can tell, like, football, week three and four is eating the MLB playoffs for your boy. I don't know what the fuck's going on. Okay.
Starting point is 03:08:56 All right, let's see. Let's tell Memorial. Give a mind to Grayson Holden. Holton, my bad. Grayson Holden. Young, D. Lyman from Sam Fran. He's the one that stripped that ball at the end of the half off that running back. and then hopped on it for a touchdown.
Starting point is 03:09:18 Nothing better than recovering a fumble in the end zone that's already in the end zone for a touchdown as a D-Lyman. Got me one of those, but he got him one. And just in a crucial spot in that game that really probably changed the whole trajectory of that Seattle San Fran game. So I wanted to give it to Grayson Holton. That was a huge, huge fucking play.
Starting point is 03:09:44 Bro. It's like... So Jeff Skanina, 193 to 2009. So that's a long time, but that's only like 16, 17 years. I don't know if he's still coaching, but when he was,
Starting point is 03:10:02 you'd see him on the sideline, you're like, who the hell is that guy? Somebody just put in the chat, he looks like Buzz Lightyear. Pull up a picture of Jeff Skinny. Unbelievable. Look at this guy and tell me, if I was in a road rating,
Starting point is 03:10:14 Rage incident, that's, that's, that's, Z G.O. N-I-N-A. Z-G-O. Z-G-O. Oh, wow. So, if, yo, he looks like, imagine clip, no. Wait, what's the D-N that I play with in Jacksonville, Chris? You know.
Starting point is 03:10:33 Matt Roth. Matt Roth. That's doing it looks a lot. Matt Roth. That looks like Matt Roth, yo. Matt Roth was sick. Oh, my. God.
Starting point is 03:10:45 Joe Cullen, Joe Cullen love Matt Roth. Oh my God. Matt Ruff is a known. If you go to the images page, you can find some shots of this guy in shorts. Golly day. Well, he's just, just legs?
Starting point is 03:10:58 Quads, yeah. He used to live in the facility. They said, look at him. Look at this dude. I mean, unbelievable. But these are the guys that, like, look at that dude. But these are the guys that be knowing.
Starting point is 03:11:08 Look at his legs. Bro, he has kank. That's the definition of kankles. Like, look at that. They're just tree trunks. bro fucking trunks they just say shoes yeah because no shoes yeah because he probably has tape on under that too and it's like you can't even tie your shoes the right way they said he was like institutionalized like like like legit like never want to leave facility he was just a pros pro but like a
Starting point is 03:11:30 pro's pro to the point where you're like you can go home you know you don't have to sleep here that kind of thing like he just was a look at the dude's gastrox there dude the force generation has to be i mean Not a strong individual. Oh, oh. Look at those legs. I know, dude. He's a beast. Okay.
Starting point is 03:11:52 Are we just game ball, right? Game ball. Game ball. I'm giving it to Mike Evans. The biggest player, literally, in the biggest game. I mean, the biggest game of the weekend, I don't think San Francisco wins that game without him. I mean, he is, what a pickup for them.
Starting point is 03:12:08 I got a pull for you guys. I'm giving a game ball to Heath Farewell. Do you know who that is? Of course you guys don't. It is the Jaguars special team coach who is doing a fucking amazing job. He got these guys humming. I just love what's going on down there. And then this week with everything that's going on, you got a D-Lyman having to be your long
Starting point is 03:12:33 and short snapper and you guys find the way to work it out and make it work. I think he deserves some credit and no one probably is going to give it to him. So Heath, farewell, giving you the credit. you're doing an amazing job keep it going for the rest of the year we're going to need that special teams to help us win the super bowl this year keep it going wow game ball too so uh that's it for the mentions let's uh let's play guess the lines and then give you something on tonight first we're going to hit the zone oh yeah yeah let's do it let's do it so and this week uh well you'll hear it after this ad read special little twist okay warning this product contains nicotine nicotine is in

Starting point is 03:13:48 we're going to hear from our Commanders Fan in Minnesota. Oh, let me put my ears on for this. Wait a second for you. Did you hit it already? No, no, I'm waiting on you. Waiting on you. All right, hold on. I want to hear this. Go ahead. Hey, Chris, it's your buddy in Minnesota. Commander's fan.
Starting point is 03:14:07 First of all, I want to give a shout out to my Sonny's 2 today. Big birthday, man. Huge. So exciting. And his whole day was ruined. He cried the entire day because of Dan Quinn and the commanders. Man, I am so sick of this, man. I don't know if I can really do it anymore. I don't know if I have it in me to do it anymore. I'm grinning through my teeth because I'm so angry about everything that's happening, everything,
Starting point is 03:14:31 schematics. What do are great defenses do? Chris, they get home with four and manipulate coverage or they manipulate pressure and they get home with four. We've been sold a bill of goods in Washington. Or I'm sorry, or manipulated pressure. We've been sold to Bill of Goods in Washington, and we don't need to do either. We don't need great coverage players, and we don't need a pass pressure. We're going to put 96 guys in the line of charmages, everyone's going to shrink out in all these different places, and what are we doing?
Starting point is 03:14:55 We get tossed in the second half every single week. We're supposed to be in phenomenal conditioning, phenomenal shape, and we're not. We're not. We're the worst defense in NFL history in the fourth quarter. What are we doing at the end of regulation? Would they have the ball inside of the one-yard line? we have a timeout left and we have a chance to make them take a knee inside of the one yard line and we hold on to the timeout. We hold on to it.
Starting point is 03:15:19 What if James couldn't think it rolled over into overtime? He must have because there's no question in my mind. He thought they had a timeout at the end of overtime. That's the only plausible explanation. And then he thought they had a time out in that situation. My son's day is ruined horrible day. You want to talk about the terrible twos, Chris? my son has been screaming for seven straight hours.
Starting point is 03:15:46 My wife hasn't looked at me 10 3 o'clock this afternoon. I got nothing left, Chris. Nothing. And I got to hear from you, man. What do you make of this? Have you been on a defense as an example, Chris? Really answer this for me.
Starting point is 03:16:02 Where you knew, if you ran all out pressure, they had no answers. None. None! because we're being because we're being like grits rip me happily
Starting point is 03:16:19 all right man I got nothing happy birthday buddy yeah shout out to your son yeah happy birthday maybe as a birthday maybe as a birthday present you could get him
Starting point is 03:16:33 an eagle's hat just plan a little seed he doesn't have to follow in your footsteps you know like he doesn't have to to to to to walk the road you traveled like he doesn't have you know like don't let your you know that whole sins of the father thing i don't i don't think he have to i don't think he has to inherit your pain man so there's still time or get him a jaguar's hat we're gonna make you fuck any hat dude just fucking get him a micky mouse hat for fuck's sake like honestly making your kids watch commanders football, I'm calling CPS.
Starting point is 03:17:11 I, like, it is, it's bad parenting. Yeah. Like on the kid's fucking birthday, why don't you just, why don't you just take him to the local jail and scare him straight, dude? Like, might as well.
Starting point is 03:17:26 Yeah. Because that is brutal. I'm sorry. All right. Guess the lines? Let's do it. Guess the lines. I'd love to guess the lines.
Starting point is 03:17:40 All right. So Thursday night, we've got the Seahawks at the Broncos. Both teams are three and two. Guess the line? Seahawks at Broncos, well. Oh, Broncos on Thursday night? One and a half. No, it'll be Cahawks minus three.
Starting point is 03:18:00 Seahawks minus three. Bang. Somebody's on it. I'm feeling good. Sunday, we've got the international game. Texans at Jaguars overseas. Guess the line? Well, I.
Starting point is 03:18:13 Jags minus 13 and a half. No. I think it's, I think it's Jags by, well, there's, it's a, it's a, it's a neutral site. They probably think the Jags are a field goal better. I'd, I'll go three and a half. I said four and a half. Jags three and a half, sorry, jags two and a half. Okay.
Starting point is 03:18:34 Okay. See, Vegas, put a little, put a little respect on, on, on, on, on, and, and they're, begging you they're begging people to take the jags get on the jag wagon begging them they're begging them begging them dude hey here it is two in a hook man bet the fucking jags please take that alternate spread guys take that alternate spread and then they get cash in in a standalone spot i think he's so great i can't wait we got to come over to we got to watch that game together panthers eagles one o'clock this is a tough damn wait so the jags again they got to play at 930 to next week again?
Starting point is 03:19:12 Panthers, Eagles. Are they going to be home dogs again? They were home dogs last week, yeah? Before they went to... Who did they play last week? Fucking Rams. I don't think they're going to be home dogs. I think they're probably two-point favorites.
Starting point is 03:19:32 Eagles by a point. Okay. Ravens Browns. Where? Cleveland. Oh, this is going to be a stinking. line like Cleveland's gonna be Lamar back yet we don't know that plays into this thing so so I think Cleveland plus three and a half plus oh yeah wait without Lamar well we don't know I
Starting point is 03:20:00 I think Lamar's he has a he doesn't have a low or high ankle it's just he has like some sort of a medium ankle because if Lamar was playing it would be like what it'll be if Lamar was playing Jesse Minner said that he's uncertain if Jackson will participate on Wednesday when the Ravens. I think he's going to play. You have, I think they're going to, I think that the Ravens are going to be three and a half point favorites on the road. That's what I was going to say. Miner three and a half. Ravens are four and a half point favorites.
Starting point is 03:20:31 Okay. Game close. Titans at the Colts. Titans at the Colts. Titans at the Colts. I like the over in this game. I don't even need to look at the number. It's probably like 40s.
Starting point is 03:20:45 Was it Titans plus six and a half? But I'll take, I bet you it's, Titans at Colts? Titans at Colts. Titans at Colts. Colts favored by four. Colts favored by five and a half. Colts favored by seven, nice and eight.
Starting point is 03:21:07 Bears at Falcons. My head's at. Total error is 44. You said that? I like the over. All right. You said Bears at Falcons? Bears at Falcons.
Starting point is 03:21:16 Is Caleb back? I would think he's coming back. Yeah, I think he practiced at the end of last week. I think he's coming back. So if the Bears go and play the Falcon. Oh, and then we don't know about freaking his Tua. That's the whole thing. It's who's pointing for the Falcons, right?
Starting point is 03:21:29 That is a fucked up line now. Right now, wait, bears at Falcon. Right now it's Bears. They're going to run the ball so far up their ass. Bejohn Robinson is going to be like out the other side. Dude, it's going to be, it's going to be, I think this could be a, I think this could be closer to a pickum.
Starting point is 03:21:53 I think this is, um, Bears minus one and a half. I think it's, I think it's, yeah, I'll go bears, bears minus a point. Bears minus three. Oh, shoot. Saints at Giants. I think Vegas.
Starting point is 03:22:08 You like that? It's the Tua. Vegas must know the QB situation. Right, which, which to me is. Them rib. Hey, they tap them ribs, yo. Saints of Giants. I'm sorry, though.
Starting point is 03:22:20 If you got ribs, like, he's throwing the towel around and shit. Like, if you break a rib, like, I've broken a rib, like, you can't move. Huh? You can't move. I don't think it can't, I don't know if it's that bad. But, I mean, he said when he sat. There's something complicated going on. But why do he said, like, once he sat and it got unwarm, like, he felt like if he went out there, I don't know.
Starting point is 03:22:41 I don't know. Yeah. I'd have been, like, give me all the tour at all. What was it? Saints at Giants. Whatever Justin Jefferson. Saints at Giants. Give me the...
Starting point is 03:22:52 Saints at the Giants. Oh, this is a pick-em. This is a... No, no, no, no. Saints are favorite. Saints are three and a half-point favorites. Oh, wow. Saints are a point favorite.
Starting point is 03:23:02 See, pick them, right? I like the Saints. It's a by low spot for the Saints. Yeah. I hope Macon's not listening to this. Motherfucker, poor Saddack went like one in four last week. Who? He picked Macon in our pick show.
Starting point is 03:23:15 He picked Marvin Harris. Harrison Jr. prop. Like an idiot. Everybody knows he's getting traded. It's buyer beware. He takes a Marvin Harrison Jr. prop. The whole weekend, he's peppering
Starting point is 03:23:26 our group chat with like, you fucking assholes. You don't want to give me the pickback this whole thing. All right, what do you got? Jets and Patriots. Oh, oh, the Jets.
Starting point is 03:23:40 Oh, this is the spot. This is the spot. Jets plus. Porn. No, what? Oh, Pat's by five. Pat's, Pat's land five. Jets plus four and a half, right?
Starting point is 03:23:54 Jets. That's the way you said. I know, I know. Pat's laying five. Pat's minus seven. Oh, shit. Hold putty. Be careful.
Starting point is 03:24:03 No, that's the, but that's the game. That's the trap game. Yeah, Jets, Patriots always very. A big trap game. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. Steelers at bucks. Oh, this is such an icky game.
Starting point is 03:24:14 Disgusting. Steelers, oh. Steelers minus two and a half. Aaron Rogers over the rookie. Steelers minus a bigger number than that, four and a half, five. You should have stopped at a bigger number than that. Steelers minus three.
Starting point is 03:24:30 Oh, really? What did I just say? Bet them all day. Bang. Bat him all day, dude. Bet them all day. Cardinals at Rams. It's the first four o'clock game next week.
Starting point is 03:24:40 Cardinals at Rams. Rams minus freaking... Well, that's sketchy because the Rams got a whole game to play. I don't know how they would... play this. Seven and a half, eight and a half. I was just going to say over a tutty.
Starting point is 03:24:56 Rams minus 12.5. Jeez. My God. Chargers and Chiefs. Chargers and Chiefs, another one. The combined record of this game is four and five. I don't think it's going to be like a double digit thing. I'm going minus nine and a half.
Starting point is 03:25:12 Seven. Chiefs minus eight. Right in the middle. Andy Reid off the buy. Bill's. at Raiders. Oh. Raiders can't run the ball.
Starting point is 03:25:25 Bills minus four and a half. Bill's at Raiders? Yeah, I'll give him a five. Yeah, Bill's minus six. Yeah. Cowboys at Packers on Sunday night football. Oh, points. Points.
Starting point is 03:25:38 I think it's, I think. This total is 53. I'll give you the total. Yeah, I think the Packers might be favored in this football game, as fucked up. as it is to say, maybe two points, two point favorites. Cowboys minus, Cowboys minus two and a half.
Starting point is 03:25:59 Packers minus one. Oh, shit. And Monday night football, we got commies at 49ers. Oh, my God. 49ers minus freaking nine and a half. This is a trap spot, dude. commies at Niners? Commies at nineers.
Starting point is 03:26:16 And they got to travel? Nah. Eight and a half. Niners minus seven and a half. Okay. We'll tease for you before. All right. So real quick,
Starting point is 03:26:28 somebody on the chat said, Macon said Michael Wilson is a good receiver. I'll take Marv. Literally what he said. Shut out to Jordan Jaguars. Okay, so tonight, what are the injuries real quick before we go? Let me see.
Starting point is 03:26:46 Might as well just like not have looked at anything on this game. You know, it's just... Palmer out. Palmer out, okay. No big deal. No offense. Anybody else out?
Starting point is 03:27:06 Oh, hey, Palmer? There's a few questionable. Ed Oliver is up in the air, right? Ed Oliver up in the air. He was ruled out Friday. Sean McVeigh is going to... They're going to get the tight ends back and the backers are going to have a really hard time in this game.
Starting point is 03:27:20 So are the corners. I think it's going to take 35, 37 points to win this game is the way it feels to me. I think the bills are going to be able to run the football. I think the bills are going to be able to run the football. I think it comes down to third downs for Josh, trying to get Josh off the field. The Rams are favored by three points in this game, yeah? What's the total?
Starting point is 03:27:49 Total is 54 and a half. Rams minus three and a half. I mean, to me, it should be chalky as fuck to take the over in this game, but I'm kind of afraid it's not like 60. I'm kind of afraid they didn't set it like a college total. Where is the money in tonight's big Monday night football game? I like to be real specific when I ask Google.
Starting point is 03:28:22 It's the big Monday night football game. Where the money is spread, the Rams. Okay. Public and Sharp betters. Okay, I have Action Network. I'll just pull it up on my phone. Action Network tonight. This is according to Action Network,
Starting point is 03:28:44 if you believe in this stuff, but I don't think all books make their stuff available the way we think they do. DJ Moore is still questionable. That could be a bigger deal. That could be a bigger deal. Okay, all the money's on Buffalo. They're losing this game, unfortunately.
Starting point is 03:29:00 That's just the way these things go in prime time. There's no way. 77% of the, now the thing I'm going to pay attention to is the total. Everybody's on the over. Sucker bet. Damn, dude. So what is,
Starting point is 03:29:16 how is this an under? What's the circumstance that leads to this being an under? DJ Moore doesn't play. And there's nobody to throw the ball to? Red zone turnovers. The Rams load the box. Red zone turnovers.
Starting point is 03:29:33 Can they really do that like a, like the way Houston shut those guys down last year when they had the guys outside there they got Watson's going to be back i got all that you got McDuffie and Watson outside but you don't have the guys in the middle of the field for king kade and that sort of thing and Donald's just going to wreck the game he's back you know what he's back I'm just going to i'm going to go with my gut like definitely i think the bills walk it off and i'll be Joe public and be a fucking idiot with a ray davis touchdown 34-31.
Starting point is 03:30:11 Keon Coleman catches a moon ball, gets him in position to kick a field goal, they walk it off. The Rams make this defense look ridiculously stupid the whole game. I don't care if the whole world's on the over. It's hard to bet the under in a game like tonight. But don't take what I said to the bank
Starting point is 03:30:31 because there's a whole two hours into the game. I'm going to change my mind five times. Big facts. Big facts. that's the thing everybody's saying under for sure that's kind of where that's that's what I'm worried about you would think McDuffian on Kincaid and gotta have a moment's right you might you might but somebody else has to win somebody else has to win I'm getting called a traitor bro I don't give a fuck about honestly any of this stuff
Starting point is 03:30:59 I'm just a football fan now like seriously when will some of you get it through your heads that I don't care I just care about who I'm betting on and doing a good job in this seat. Pooka. Pooka. Pooka. Yeah, it could be. The props,
Starting point is 03:31:18 that's where it's going to be. I take everything I said back. Don't take anything I said to the bank. This is a total shit show tonight. I have no idea what's going to happen. All right. Well, that's the game. We are all done.
Starting point is 03:31:35 We have run the clock down to zero, and we will be back. Wednesday. Bo's going to be back from London. You can hear more about his rugby game. Oh, man. And all that. It was probably so great,
Starting point is 03:31:48 the disappointment on Bo's face and Patty's face at the end of that game. Oh, the Eagles are going to win. Yeah. Let's go. Eagles. We got a good one. And then it was,
Starting point is 03:31:57 oh. Man, but I'm not even a Jags hater anymore, bro. Why you've got to be an Eagles hater? It's not that I'm an Eagles hater. They just played the Jags this week. That's the way it is. You know, I rock with you guys. I know.
Starting point is 03:32:12 On other situations. You got to understand Philly's in a state of... In other contexts. They're in a bad spot right now. People are very testy. So, all right, we'll be back Wednesday. Take care. Eagles on the grill.
