Hi, and welcome to Sinkgove.
And welcome to this meditation to enjoy the summer.
a relaxing sleep meditation to let go of stress.
So slow down and wind and enjoy the peaceful feeling of summer in this relaxing sleep meditation.
At the warmth of the season, the gentle summer breezes, the bird's song, the blooming flowers and the beauty of nature help you leave stress behind.
You'll become completely relaxed and gradually drift into a touch.
deep and peaceful sleep.
You'll also hear suggestions about relaxing and enjoying this summer we're currently enjoying,
as we all need a little rest and a little time for ourselves now and then.
Please listen to this recording in a place where you can safely sleep.
Begin.
This is your time to slow down.
Your time to leave.
the day behind right now. There is nowhere you need to go. Nothing you need to do and nothing
you need to work out. This time is just for you. You can simply rest, allow yourself to settle
into the place where you're lying now and make yourself comfortable. Let your head be supported.
Shoulders soften and allow your arms to rest easily beside you.
Whatever feels most natural.
Let your legs become heavy and still and you don't need to force yourself to relax.
You don't need to try to fall asleep.
You can just listen.
Relaxation to happen in its own time.
So take a slow, easy breath in and gently,
breathe out and take another comfortable breath in and then just relax out.
And as you breathe out, imagine releasing just a little of the tension you've been carrying.
Again, breathing in and slowly breathing out.
Perhaps there have been things on your mind today.
Things that you needed to remember.
Things that you've been thinking about.
Plans, responsibilities, questions.
Little worries, or perhaps simply the constant movement of everyday life.
For now, you can leave all of that outside this moment,
because nothing needs your attention right now.
Anything important can wait until tomorrow,
and you don't need to worry about relaxation running out.
There is no limited supply of calm.
No need to hold on tightly to a peaceful feeling once you find it.
Peace and calm are in abundance right now.
And relaxation is something you can return to again and again.
Like the gentle rhythm of your breathing.
Like the breeze moving through the trees.
Like waves quietly reaching the shore.
reaching the shore and you can take another breath in, allowing yourself to soften.
You can imagine now that you're somewhere beautiful on a warm, a peaceful place in the countryside.
Far away from north, you find yourself walking slowly along a quiet path through a summer
where the sun is warm but gentle and not too hot.
There's just enough warm to fill the pleasant air against your skin.
Above you as a wide blue sky, with a few soft white clouds,
drifting lazily in the distance, and there's no hurry here.
The whole landscape seems to be moving at a slower pace,
where the grasses swaying softly around you,
and of wild flowers blooming on either side.
of the path, will light summer breeze moving through the metal, and you can feel that breeze now,
cool and refreshing against the warmth of the day, and it brushes gently across your face,
moving softly through your hair, touching your arms and your skin, as you let the breeze
pass over you. Imagine that it's carrying some of the thoughts and tension you no longer need.
Nothing dramatic, just a gentle release,
with a little bit more of space inside,
a little more quiet
as the breeze comes and the breeze goes.
And you can let things go with it
as you continue along the park,
slowly and comfortably,
listening to the sounds of summer around you
and somewhere nearby birds are singing
and perhaps you can hear a long, clear song of a black from the top of a tree,
a robin calling from a hedge,
and small birds moving through the branches.
With every sound seeming soft and distant
and part of the peaceful background of the afternoon,
you don't need to identify the birds you can simply listen.
With a bird song appearing and then facing,
with another call from somewhere farther away, quite again, noticing how nature never seems to hurry,
and a bird does not need to worry about finishing his song.
A flower doesn't need to worry about how quickly it will bloom.
The trees do not compare themselves.
Everything simply follows its own ups you can allow yourself to do the same.
For now you don't need to get anywhere.
You can simply be here, breathing, listening and resting, and as you walk you notice the colours of the flowers around you, the soft whites, the sunny yellows and the gentle blue, with pinks and purples, perhaps red poppies, perhaps dainzies scattering through the grass, perhaps tall foxgloves, standing quietly near the edge of the meadow, and everywhere you look,
Something is growing. Something is opening towards the light, with some flowers already beginning to put.
And some are tightly closed buds. Waiting for their own time, there is something comforting about that.
With nothing in nature, having to bloom all at once, nothing has to be ready before its time.
Let yourself move through life.
At your own pace, because some days are for growing.
and some days are for doing, and some days are for resting.
And perhaps tonight can be one of those times.
A time to rest, a time to replenish, a time to allow your body and mind to become quiet,
and you reach a beautiful place in the meadow where an old tree stands beside the path.
branches stretch wide above you, creating a patch of cool shade and beneath it is a comfortable
place to rest. Perhaps the grass beneath it is soft and welcoming and he settled down. And from
here you can see the whole meadow stretching out before you with fields of long grass,
patches and trees in the distance, through streams sparkling and the
and beyond that gentle green hill fading towards the horizon.
You are completely safe here.
Completely understood.
The world can carry on without you for a while and you don't have to do anything.
You don't have to respond to anyone and you don't need to check anything.
You can simply rest beneath this tree and as you rest here,
Begin to notice your body a little more closely.
Notice where your body is supported.
Weight of your head.
The weight of your shoulders.
The weight of your back.
Your hits.
Your legs.
Gravity to do the work for you.
You don't have to hold yourself up.
You can become heavier, softer and more settled.
Bringing your attention,
your attention to the muscles around your eyes.
There is nothing you need to look at.
Another space between your eyebrows becomes smooth.
Allow your jaw to loosen.
Your tongue can rest comfortably.
Tire face and become softer.
Let that relaxation move down into your neck.
Perhaps you can imagine the summer breeze.
Moving gently across your skin, relaxing.
letting your shoulders drop a little lower, then a little more,
as though something you've been carrying can finally be put down,
and you can pick it up tomorrow if you really need to.
But not tonight.
Tonight you can leave it here, arms grow heavy,
and you can relax your upper arms, your elbows, your forearms, your forearms,
arms, your wrists and your hands down to your fingertips,
and perhaps they feel heavy.
Perhaps you hardly notice them at all.
There is no right feeling.
As you just allow them to rest,
as you bring attention to noticing your breathing,
there is no need to change it,
no need to make every breath,
simply let your body breathe.
In the way it wants to breathe,
It wants to breathe with air.
Your body knows how to do this without your help.
You can let go off the feeling that you all need to be in control.
For those few moments, your body can simply continue beating your lung and your body continues doing all the quiet work.
It knows how you can feel the breath and you feel relaxation.
Spreading through your stomach and having the muscles there to soften, there's nothing to brace against.
Nothing to prepare for.
Let your belly be loose and comfortable.
Relaxing your lips, your thighs, imagining them become heavy against the surface beneath you.
Nothing to hold, nothing to tent, nothing to protect yourself from.
Just having this peaceful summer afternoon with the distant bird songs in the warm air, occasional cool touch of the breeze, moment and symphony.
Feel the warmth, feel the air, body resting, hear the sounds around you and somewhere in the grass.
You hear the faint, some of insects.
with bees moving slowly from flower to flower
to rustle of leaves above you
across the meadow
everything continuing without effort
and the flowers not forcing themselves to open
and the breeze not forcing itself to move
and the birds do not force themselves to sing
nature simply unfolds
and you can allow relaxation
relaxation to unfold at the same way. You don't have to make yourself calm. You can simply stop getting in the way of...
You can stop chasing it. Stop measuring it. Stop wondering whether you are relying on your mind. That's perfectly fine.
These are simply thoughts. They can come and go and you can imagine the thoughts like a tiny seed.
Carried away. It appears it floats for a while.
and then travels on.
You don't have to follow it.
You don't have to solve it.
You can let it drift away.
Thoughts may appear.
And they can drift away too.
And there is so much open sky above this meadow.
With plenty of room for every thought to pass through.
And nothing needs to stay.
That something has been worried.
Something unresolved.
Something that you're waiting for.
that you're waiting for, something that you can't quite control, and for just a moment imagine
placing that worry.
Gently into the palm of your hand, you don't need to examine it closely, you can just acknowledge
that it has not been there from the breeze moves across your palm and carries the worry
away, across the meadow, over the flowers.
Beyond the trees, you simply choose not to carry it.
Tomorrow will come when it comes
and tomorrow will feel very different off to sleep.
Perhaps the sun is beginning to move
and it'll lower in the sky.
Its light has become softer.
Warm and the flowers seem to glow in the evening light.
You notice one particular patch of flowers nearby
with beautiful blooms gently opening towards the sun.
and you watch the move and the breeze.
There are stems bending, they're returning.
Bending, ever fighting the wind.
Perhaps there is something to learn from.
You don't always have to resist every difficult moment.
Sometimes you can bend.
Sometimes you can soften.
Sometimes you can allow life
to move around you without feeling.
feeling that you need to fight against it and you can remain rooted while still being gentle.
Strong without being tense, the breeze move through the flowers as they sway and the breeze passes.
They become still again.
You imagine your own mind becoming like that.
All the old feeling you notice it, you allow an eventually stillness return when you don't have to chase the stillness.
It comes by itself and a little farther away you notice the stream and you decide to walk slowly can sleep an easy step.
And as your approach, you can hear the gentle movement of water.
A soft continuous sound where the stream is shallow and clear
and sunlight glimmers across its surface and you can find another comfortable place beside the water.
the water, with smooth grass at the edge of the bank, and he settled down once again.
The sound of the stream is a wonderful, relaxing thing, with water flowing around small
states, a bit of stress.
You be placed into this water.
Tension from your death, a conversation still playing in your mind.
Ask you do not finish, something you'd wish had gone different.
Put it into the stream and the water carry it away, but you don't need to watch where it goes.
The stream knows what to do.
Another worry.
You just let it go, another thought.
You let that go too.
You cannot hold on to this moment forever.
Always be another peaceful moment.
Waiting somewhere.
Another summer breeze.
The birds singing, another patch of flowers and another evening.
The palm is not something you have to store up in case you run out.
Trust that it returns.
Any summer you're currently in, you'll enjoy it.
Enjoy the moment.
Rush in day to day life.
The summer days, you won't rush.
You'll appreciate the nice weather.
You'll appreciate your beast.
and you'll be stress-free, feeling so good, and just enjoy this moment while it's here,
with the sun becoming a lower now.
The heat of the afternoon, fading into a perfect summer evening, but the breeze feels cooler,
and the sky has begun to soften into pale gull, so little pink, with a hint of lavender near the horizon,
with the birdsong becoming quieter and the busy sounds of the day gradually settling down.
Even the meadow seems ready to rest.
The birds returning to their nests, the flowers, closing their petals and the world preparing for life.
And your body can prepare for sleep in the same way.
Force anything.
Just a gradual quieting with the more.
as the muscles in your body become even heavy enough,
with your face relaxing,
your shoulders loosening and your arms getting heavy,
and your hands resting,
and your breathing becoming soft and effortless,
your legs getting so heavy, and you're ready to drift off.
Because this is your time for sleep,
there's times for you, and perhaps,
and perhaps you can give yourself a mission to enjoy the season that you're in.
As summer can pass so quickly and sometimes we spend so much time thinking
about what comes next we forget to notice what's here and now.
So take in this evening just like you do on a summer day in the real.
The smell of warm green.
The cool breeze, the birdsong of the evening.
the smell of warm grass
and the golden light
touching the tree
nothing spectacular needs to happen
these things are just enough
and you feel so good
the birds have finished
their song
your entire body is feeling
so relaxed
perhaps you can imagine you're still resting
beside the stream
or perhaps you're returned
to the shade of the old tree
You imagine yourself lying comfortably in the soft summer grass,
looking up as the first stars appear in the deepening sky
because you're warm, comfortable and safe and the earth beneath you are steady.
And the sky above you is vast and peaceful.
You can just relax.
Drift off, enjoying the evening sky
as the stars come out into a little.
Rest and sleep.
