wherever you get your podcasting fix.
Come, let me introduce you to the world of ancient Egypt.
Hi everyone, with Stress Awareness Day being today,
I've recorded a special bonus episode
to help you de-stress as you fall asleep.
You'll go to your special place
after being deeply relaxed.
Let go of all your stress.
in a visualization. I hope you enjoy it. Please remember to subscribe for all new free updates.
Begin. This is your space. A few minutes carved out of time to slow down, soften and simply
breathe. You don't need to fix anything right now. You don't need to figure anything.
nothing out. There's nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to do.
Just allow yourself to be here, to feel supported, to let go.
Stress is not who you are. It's simply the body's way of asking for a moment.
just like this one.
And you can let go of stress.
So in this meditation, I'll be your guide.
Helping you drift inward.
Letting the noise of the day fade into the background
as you return to calm,
to clarity and to peace.
Listen.
So please allow yourself
to settle into whatever position
feels best for you
you might be sitting upright
or lying back
and just take a moment
to allow your body
to feel supported
there's nothing you need to do
nothing you need to figure out
you're allowed right now
to simply be
that's right,
This time is just for you and if you haven't closed your eyes already,
you can bring attention to a single point,
maybe a spot on the ceiling or a mark on the wall
or even just the soft blur of space in front of you
and that your gaze rest there for a moment.
Close your eyes and begin to notice your breathing.
Just observe it.
Notice where.
where you're breathing from. You want to be breathing through the belly area and not the chest area or the upper chest area.
If you're breathing through the upper chest, that means you are shallow breathing, which causes a cycle of stress.
You want to allow your shoulders to drop and concentrate moving your belly, slowly in and air.
breathing knee recalibrates your blood chemistry and causes you to relax and to be more calm
you listen to my mind you just feel the natural rhythm of your brain and you are entering a calm
natural state of focused awareness you're entering this meditation you've been relaxed like this
many times and you feel more and as you breathe in and out you notice that your body is
softening the muscles in your face just relax all the muscles in your forehead smooth
all the little muscles around your eyes feel soft and gentle your jaw your cheeks
your neck just relax and let go
a little more with each breath.
That's it.
I'm going to count down from 10 to 1 with each number.
You allow yourself to drift even deeper, deeper into calm,
deeper into comfort, deeper into the real.
Be just for fun.
Imagine yourself walking down a gentle staircase.
With each number, each step, feeling more calm, more grounded and more at ease.
Stepping down, feeling safe.
With each breath and step down, drifting more deeply inward.
Letting the outside world soften and fade.
7.
Feeling lighter or heavier or just different.
like sinking into warm water, peaceful and supported, halfway down now,
and it's okay to relax even more, noticing the space between thoughts, growing wider and quieter.
Three, so easy to follow the sound of my voice and go even deeper.
Almost all funny there in that quiet, peaceful place inside.
In your mind's eye as you walk off the staircase, off the final step,
you can begin to imagine walking into a place that feels safe, comforting and restful.
Perhaps it's an open meadow or maybe a forest path.
or a quiet beach at sunset, or maybe it's a cozy room with soft light and wall.
It could be a place you've been before or somewhere entirely new,
and this place is just for you, and it's just whatever place your subconscious mind brings forth.
You can feel the nature, you can hear the gentle sounds around you.
The distant breeze, through trees, sound of waves.
Or simply silence, the kind that wraps around you like a soft blanket.
You feel so relaxed, you feel so free.
Free from time, free from pressures, free to simply rest.
And your body heals, belts away.
and the stress flows away with it.
If you want to, you can explore this place, perhaps walking slowly.
Or you can just sit comfortably and take it in.
Notice how your body responds.
You feel so good.
You feel so relaxed.
The deepens.
Your body slows and your body heals.
This is your time.
just for you.
There's no rush here, no urgency,
just the sweet, gentle descent into a deeper kind of peace.
But you may not even remember feeling a long long time.
Maybe it feels just like coming home,
because that while this place is,
a home inside yourself.
A special and safe place.
A place you can return to any time and every time you come here or listen to this meditation.
It gets easier, more familiar, more powerful and you can return here at any part of this meditation.
Rest in this place now.
Notice how everything unnecessary is already being done.
beginning to melt away, drifting out of your mind and body out of your awareness.
And it feels worried too much. The body is more relaxed and your breath is flowing naturally.
You can begin to turn your awareness inward. Let your imagination gently bring up an image.
You can imagine yourself walking in this special place or somewhere else
and there's a weight on your back, gentle step forward.
You notice it's a little bit more.
It's a backpack.
You've been carrying it for so long.
Then maybe you forgot.
It was even there.
But today, you're aware of it again.
And as you notice it, you become aware of it.
of what's inside. It's filled with stress. It's filled with deadlines, old worries and fears that don't belong to you anymore.
It has conversations that replay in your mind, tensions you've absorbed from others, expectations, pressures, plans and noise, collected over time, and maybe you've absorbed from others. Expectations, pressures, plans and noise, collected over time. And maybe you've absorbed from others. Expectations, pressures, pressures, plans and noise,
collected over time
and maybe you didn't even mean to carry it
or maybe you've picked it up without realising
it might have felt necessary back then
but right now
you don't need to carry it anymore
so gently take a deep breath in
and as you exhale that
slowly reach back
and clip the straps
and feel that backpack
slide off your shoulders down to the ground notice how much lighter you feel how your spine
lengthens how your chest opens until your breath flows more freely and you don't even need to
open the backpack you don't have to relive or examine anything inside you can just leave
it there because you realize this backpack was never part of you.
This stress was caused externally.
You can leave stress, you can take it from your body and you can just leave it behind.
You weren't born.
You just picked it up along the way.
Now you're ready just to leave it behind.
Earth knows here.
you're ready to release. This stress is going to be broken down, recycled and turned into something
you might even imagine the ground where you've placed the backpack, opening gently, and that old
stress sinking into the soil where it can be transformed without that.
you needing to hold on to it anymore and breathe in lightness out to the release of all that weight.
Tension going or pressure going and you are not the tension and you are not the pressure.
You can begin to walk again.
But this time each step feels freer, lighter and you feel like yourself.
You feel your shoulders opening up, the release in your neck, the openness in your chest,
and each breath, each moment is more your own.
You continue down the path and you notice what's around you.
The light moves through the trees, or how the breeze gently moves the leaves.
Or the sounds of birds, water and life.
The world is so still here
and it's so calm
and you've let go of all stress
and graced peace
and if you'd like to
you can sit and rest
when you want
and just enjoy the space
how you want to
for a little bit now
as you continue to walk
along that peaceful path
you notice how different
everything feels
not because the world has changed
but because you have
there's more space inside you now
more room to breathe
to think clearly
and to respond
rather than react
and you can take this feeling with you
this peace
it doesn't live in this meditation
it doesn't live in the forest
this peace is not the sound of
This peace lives lives in you. It's something you can carry, not like a burden, but a quiet
strength in your centre. You can imagine a time in the near future, a time where you might
get stress, it's all overwhelmed. But this time you notice how your body feels different. You notice
that you're breathing and steadier.
How your shoulders stay relaxed.
You breathe in through the stomach.
How you don't mouth breathe and breathe through you.
Because the stress doesn't control you now if you get stressful feelings.
You notice it.
You pause and acknowledge the feeling and then you breathe deeply.
You choose to be calm.
You choose to react in the right way
and in that moment you remember
you've already let go of the weight once
and you know how to do it again
you realize that holding onto stress
does not serve you and every time
you can return to this place within yourself
it becomes easier
more familiar and more automatic
When you listen to this meditation is your reset button.
And your reset button is your breath.
Anytime and anywhere.
You can sleep in deep relaxation and healing.
Where you're calm.
Where you're serene.
