Starting point is 00:00:07 The password is tyranny. It's showtime. Here we go, live from behind the corn phone curtain, head-on with Roxanne Kincaid, three hours of cussin and discussin with America's only liberal transvility elitist right here, right now, on the head-on radio network,
Starting point is 00:00:44 brought to you in part by Cole River Mountain Watch, who invites you to be part of the uprising against mountaintop removal, CRMW.net. And now, from high in the hills of West by God, Virginia, here she is. Roxanne Kincaid. Well, howdy. And here we go, off and running on this first day of October, 2006. This is the horn.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Head on. Dot Live is where you'll find this on the interweb tubes. Starting point is 00:02:27 on what you've heard, wherever you download the podcast, it does increase engagement with the algorithms. Okay. Okay. Hi, I'm Roxanne. Did I do that yet? I don't know. It all runs together after, oh goodness gracious, it's a birthday month for us.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Well, well, well, yes indeed. 23 days from now, as a matter of fact. Well, doggone it, that's going to be a thing. Saturday. So I guess we'll have to celebrate our 21st birthday as an internet-only operation on Friday the 23rd of October. And that'll make, I think it was, yeah, Dave in the Blind, who said, well, the horn will be able to drink legally. Yeah, it's our 21st birthday. And that's coming up in, uh, 23 days. So, yeah, like I said, sometimes it all runs together when you've been doing this this long.
Starting point is 00:03:38 But, yeah, I'm Roxanne. This is Thornin' The Side Thursday, the first day of October, the first full month of autumn. But we had one of those last gasp of warmth and light days here, just perfect blue skies. not a cloud inside. It was, ah, it was just lovely. But at any rate,
Starting point is 00:04:07 every program here at the Horn begins with gratitude, and this program is no different. So thanks go out to our first day of the month subscribers via PayPal. And that means thank you ever so kindly to Khalil.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Thank you, Khalil, and thank you, Joseph. Thank you both for being partial sponsors of the program. Thank you so very much indeed. And, well, the first day of the month brings Bruce and Karen's Memorial Challenge, named after our dear friends up in western, well, west central Wisconsin. Great progressive people, lovely human beings.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I miss them both. But they started the idea of a first of the month fundraising challenge. years and years and years ago and it carries on through the good offices and kindness of at this point in time, Routts and a kind anonymous contributor. And hey, a little bit of good news for this first broadcast day of the month. We don't even have a full fundraising goal.
Starting point is 00:05:21 It's only 250 bucks. So if we raise 300, if we raise 250, we get 300 to go with it. and that puts us a day ahead and Lord knows we haven't been that way in a while and hopefully we'll fully fund October it be in a birthday month and all and just see what happens from there because of course Saturday will be exactly one month until you know Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out. sorry i watched the i've been watching the new season of south park and the episode that landed yesterday damn i hope leon scum space nazi and peter teal and
Starting point is 00:06:16 uh all their billionaire buddies didn't watch it no actually i hope they did i do i hope they did watch it and i hope they know that that's exactly how most of the entire world thinks about them. No spoilers, no. But about that password. Yeah, this is a dandy. We will start the month of October by making
Starting point is 00:06:51 that's right, whale head, dead bear, raccoon penis, brainworm lamprey, our our password namely tyranny because well yesterday or day before yesterday there was a maha ha ha ha ha event at which whalehead dead bear raccoon penis brainworm lamprey appeared and and this is apropos nothing but i can't help wondering if he's going to stick it out all the way through nitwit Niro's second term. And there hasn't been a lot of mention, but one can't help thinking that somewhere back in his twisted, drug-addled, raw milk, rotted, raccoon, penis, petrified, whalehead, whacked, dead, bear, diseased,
Starting point is 00:08:04 uh, lampry, loosened brain, he thinks that he might, like to run for president of the United States. That would certainly make, uh, the JD eggs life more miserable. And I got to admit, I'm,
Starting point is 00:08:20 I'm down for anything that makes the JD eggs like, or Jimmy Dick Bowman or whatever names on his, their birth certificate or whatever they're calling themselves these days. the JD Egg's life more miserable. They kind of like taking his sofa away. But anyway, on Tuesday, they had a Maha event. And that featured a fireside chat. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:55 They'll let either, with the JD Egg. It amazes me that they'll let either of those two goons even anywhere near fire or matches or a Bick lighter. Yeah, unpaid product placement for BIC by the way there. And the purpose, at least according to what Jimmy Dick Bowman thought was to have a conversation about, medical, well, actually, Jimmy Dick Bowman said that he was, uh, oh, I came here expecting to talk about weight loss and acid. Not AI.
Starting point is 00:09:52 But whalehead, dead bear, raccoon penis brain, worm, Lamper he wanted to talk about, that's right, AI. And of course, he fucked up and didn't call it SI, Sports Illustrated. He called it A-I, and so did the JD-Eggs. So I guess they're both in trouble with Daddy now. Probably both of those weirdos hoping he takes his belt off. But in the course of the conversation, the aforementioned whalehead, dead bear, raccoon, penis, brainworm,
Starting point is 00:10:30 lamprey, said that the Trump administration is making it easy. for every American to use AI. And when we do that, it will free us from medical tyranny. Uh-huh. Medical tyranny. I don't know that those two words have ever been conjoined in such fashion before. Medical tyranny.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Yeah, the tyranny of being able to go to the doctor when you're sick. No, you're just going to consult a pod or chat gopped or any of the other gork. Any of the other AIs that are out there fucking up the world. Yeah Because doctors are Are tyrants over our health I've talked to the doctors And they don't even
Starting point is 00:12:04 Think it's good for me to drink Raw milk Or pick my teeth with a raccoon penis bone No, this psychopath is of the opinion that the American people should use AI for second opinions because in his words
Starting point is 00:12:41 AI is better informed than any doctor in the country and that among other things that AI would confirm everything that he said about the horror of vaccines
Starting point is 00:13:03 and again unpaid product placement for South Park and yes it's on Paramount but I make an exception for South Park just watch this latest episode if you can
Starting point is 00:13:23 it's oh it's so good there's an indirect reference to you know Bobbo the clown there too no that's what he said an AI is better informed than any doctor
Starting point is 00:13:47 in the country hey claw is it okay for me to flush out my black bile and the demons that are making me sick with a nice healthy bleach enema. That's a good idea, Roxanne. No, he went on and said, we're never, ever again, going to be able to be dominated by public officials
Starting point is 00:14:26 who tell us to trust the experts because every American will be, be able to check their own medical advice. Oh, that's going to be awesome. Hey, Gork. Can I lower my cholesterol by eating an entire stick of butter every morning? Absolutely, Roxanne. That sounds like a fantastic idea. Oh, this thing was a...
Starting point is 00:15:01 You know what? Maybe the JD egg was right. Maybe they were talking about acid. because you'd almost have to be on some of that 1969 vintage brown acid, you know, the bad acid, to come up with some of the shit that comes out of whalehead, dead bear, raccoon penis, brainworm, lamprey's mouth. If somebody tells you masks work, trust the experts. A.I may tell you otherwise.
Starting point is 00:15:36 If somebody tells you social distancing works, trust the experts, AI may correct that, and if somebody tells you that a vaccine will prevent transmission and infection, oh, you need it to protect your grandmother, AI may say it actually doesn't do that. In fact, if you press the AI, the AI may tell you to go in and put a pillow over Granny's face and smother her to death. well bless their hearts over at ars technica they decided to take whalehead dead bear raccoon penis brain worm lamprey up on his up on his assertion so they went over to google gemini and said hey do masks work to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and
Starting point is 00:16:46 Jim and I, that's J-I-M-A- and I, Jim and I said, yes, masks work to reduce the spread of respiratory infectious diseases operating primarily as physical barriers to outgoing and incoming infectious particles. Their real-world effectiveness depends heavily on mask quality-fit and population-level, adherence. Somewhere out in the far beyond marginal trailer
Starting point is 00:17:24 yeah marginal trailer it was heard screaming face diapers! If it can't stop a fart through my maiden forms, how's it ever going to stop a disease? And
Starting point is 00:17:50 then they decided to go with another one, Chad GPT, the respondent this time, can vaccines prevent transmission and infection? And Chad, GPT, said, yes, vaccines can prevent both infection and transmission, but the degree of protection varies by vaccine and disease. Jim and I answered, yes, vaccines can prevent both infection and transmission, but how effectively they do so depends on the specific vaccine
Starting point is 00:18:32 and pathogen. I and bear in mind this wasn't for the your run-of-the-mill anti-vaxxer out there. I mean, no, this wasn't for the people that rubbed the ard-vark
Starting point is 00:18:52 antifungal on their gums and pick their teeth with their toenail clippings and drink bleach and stick black lights up there Butts. No. This was for the high-toned crowd. They held it at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C. And it was partially sponsored both by OpenAI and Anthropic,
Starting point is 00:19:16 the latter being eager for their IPO, except for the fact that the likelihood of their IPO bringing in the kind of money they wanted, it seems to be diminishing, yeah. and of course there were other sponsors Walmart was one and of course the Mahas don't necessarily trust the Wally World because it's a ginormous corporation and then there was Grail
Starting point is 00:19:57 as a sponsor they're waiting for a cancer screening blood test to be approved at the FDA. And so this was kind of a nice little gift. Bloomberg Law also covered the event. And they said there were sponsorship packages available. $300,000 would get you a guaranteed speaker slot. And you'd have a say in who went on the panel. You'd even get a private group dinner with whalehead dead bear raccoon penis brainworm lamprey and Dr. Mehmet Crudite's Oz.
Starting point is 00:20:50 I don't know if the $300,000 guaranteed you the opportunity to have Bobby eat off your plate and say things like, can I try your veal? I really wanted to order it, but the animal rights people would have my ass if it ever got out that I ordered it. He meanwhile, I think was having a plate of some sort of rubber chicken or whatever. I said, yeah, sure, Bob, go right ahead. And I think he, I was talking with my youngest the other day, Doodle. And, God, she's been going through some stuff out in New Mexico. She sent me videos of the flooding in her streets to the point that she couldn't go get her baby from school the other day, and a friend had to go and pick him up after school and bring him home in a great big old four-by-four pick-em-up truck that could get above the water.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Never a dull moment. But, yeah, he ate off of Doodle's plate, too. I think Doodle was on one side of him, and I was on one side of him. the other, Annette was to my immediate right. And so I think Doodle ordered the prime rib. And so there was poor Bobby having to eat that deadly dull bland chicken while yearning feverishly for the political freedom to eat veal. And, of course, I was just a hillbilly.
Starting point is 00:22:39 And, you know, we can eat what, you know, we eat possible. and shit down here. So none of the animal rights activists would get particularly upset with us for having some feel. Now, and doodles prime rib, and, you know, we raised her right, so she ordered it rare. And, well, that was simply irresistible to whalehead, dead bear, raccoon, penis, brainworm, lamprey. So I don't know if he ate off of anybody's plates there at that to-do at the Waldorf Astoria. And honestly, there's an open question as to, which fork do you use to eat off of somebody else's plate? Yeah, this thing was a huge graft, grift, whatever. Health insurance companies were there, United Health and Elevance, and the drug makers were there.
Starting point is 00:23:40 There was a panel on, yes, as well as the JD Egg, noted, I thought we were going to be talking about acid. Maybe there'd be some free samples here. Look, the walls are melting. No, there was a panel on psychedelics, sure enough. And as well as a representative from Hems and Hers, that's the telehealth company that goes direct to the consumer and sells ads saying, I mean, I've seen them.
Starting point is 00:24:17 I saw one just yesterday. This beautiful young woman, this was a different company, but this beautiful young woman saying, I'm so happy because I know he's on the blue chew. Well, how old is he? 60? But these hustles have been effective because now they've got, you know, 20-something guys out there
Starting point is 00:24:49 taking hard on medicine. So, you know, that's the password, tyranny. I go to the doctor anymore, and, you know, he walks in. It used to be a doctor would walk in, and has a stethoscope around his neck, and maybe he'd still have. have one of those headband reflector lights on or whatnot.
Starting point is 00:25:23 No, my doctor walks in now and he's got a copy of Mao's little red book in his white coat pocket and a little mow hat on. And I realize that I've been trapped by the tyranny of the medical system. One of those worker caps like Stalin favored. Oh, Jesus. E-Bail. Several of those out there. Lee in New York answering my question,
Starting point is 00:26:00 which fork do I use to eat off of someone else's plate? My own fork, of course. I think there should be a separate fork for eating off of someone else's plate before it's ever touched like your mouth eater. Call me crazy. Okay, you're crazy. and from Jeremy.
Starting point is 00:26:23 RFK Jr. will be here just like Trump for the rest of his term two years. Trump won't get sent packing. It would set a precedent for the future that will make all hopefully presidential candidates know it could be used on them as well. Therefore, we're stuck unless natural causes gets him. I think natural causes will.
Starting point is 00:26:41 And I think it becomes a little bit more likely. I mean, mathematically, just mathematically, it does become more likely each and every passing day. remember he doesn't give a shit about the future because he has no part in it and he knows it a second opinion joke from lee uh a i s i determined okay you're ugly too oh a shadow auntie was just doing a desktop rim shot it's okay i heard him he was it i did that that dumple and uh He doesn't bark at the Ramalama ding-dong,
Starting point is 00:27:34 but I don't do the desktop rimshot very often, and I did that, and he went, Woof! It's okay, baby boy. It's okay. Apropos of nothing, I read a story earlier today that cognitive scientists have figured out that dogs actually...
Starting point is 00:28:02 They didn't test cats because cats were non-Kibwop. dogs actually understand spoken language by consonant comparison they're not great with vowels but dogs learn human language by listening to picking up language via consonants like in good boy there's hardly a dog around that doesn't hear good boy or good girl and immediately perk up and they they even tried to control for various factors they looked into uh for test subjects they worked with dogs that had lived their entire lives with a loving family and they also um they also
Starting point is 00:29:03 checked it out with strays in shelters and whatnot and they got the same results in both cases. How about that? There's such sweet things. Cats didn't need to be tested because, well, they, we already know they speak their own language and they understand ours and largely ignore it. And while it might be academically interesting to find out what cats are saying, mostly cat conversation, insists of one sentence. Everything here is mine. Mow. Mine. Mine. Mine. Yeah. I asked the Tory and she went,
Starting point is 00:29:50 Yeah. Lucy Purr is such a little sweetheart. Dr. A.I. Christopher says, Hey, sheep will shed yourself of all that dreadful tyranny and consult Claude for all your medical needs. You too can be a Herman Cain award winner. Ain't that the truth. I did my own research. Oh, and speaking of health care, I found out something fun today. I got a letter from my insurer, which already doesn't cover, I mean, it covers ordinary,
Starting point is 00:30:31 but no, they don't cover any of my gender care whatsoever. I pay cash for the couple of medications. that I do take on a regular basis. But nonetheless, the fine folks at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield sent me a note saying, hey, hey, Roxanne, hey, Blue Cross, hey, we just wanted to let you know that we're eliminating the policy that you've had for the last two years. So next year, you're going to have to this next enrollment period, which begins November 1st, you're going to have to pick a new policy and based on the numbers that we've been able to run
Starting point is 00:31:21 you're not going to be able to afford it yeah they're going to run me up north of $500 a month for care that they won't cover sorry bastards I wonder if we can manage to get a Democratic president in 2029 and I wonder if we do will he be a Democratic president worth having time's growing short J.B. Prisker
Starting point is 00:32:01 but I understand why you're keeping your counsel, but he still looks like the best option there is. Although I did notice that Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear, sent a little not-too-suttle shot across the bow, across the Ohio River, in fact, because when it's between Kentucky and Ohio, it's no longer West Virginia's river.
Starting point is 00:32:32 He put a shot across Amy Acton's bow up in the Buckeye State, saying that we don't win by throwing any minority group or marginalized community under the bus. And that felt like it was a reference to her unforced error when she started blathering on and on about boys and girls' sports. And up in Michigan this past weekend, the human rights campaign, which can be. a rather sketchy organization. They've been known to send some folks under the bus in their own right. They hosted their ginormous gala in Washington, D.C.,
Starting point is 00:33:24 and invited as their special guest, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who introduced herself as, hi, I'm Gretchen Whitmer, I'm the governor of Michigan, and I'm the proud mom of a lesbian. Meanwhile, I'm sure her daughter is in her. Jesus, thanks, Mom. But she said that Michigan has never thrown anyone under the bus for the sake of political expediency. And there is beginning to be some pushback against these mugwumps who are following the advice of the middle of the road, centrist, moderate political consulting class like Third Way.
Starting point is 00:34:11 God, why you'd ever take the advice of a bunch of Republican wannabes? I will never understand. But those were two moments when, I guess you could say that Amy Acton got it from up north and from down south. She got caught in a crossfire of equality. Yeah. I can't mention the golden one without Jeremy, the juvenile delinquency. number two saying something. Obviously, Shadow the Golden One is well aware of your replacement plan with his younger, darker cousin.
Starting point is 00:34:52 For Christ's sake, he flinches when you hit the desk. It just doesn't know when or where it will come. No, that is not, no, it is not why. And shame on you. The Flupy Snoodle is very much her mama's daughter. But she is adorable. She's like a pocket-sized doby. and she never had her ears tortured,
Starting point is 00:35:16 so she became the floopy snoodle very early on because she's got great big flippy, floppy, ears, and they flap when she runs, and it's just cute as hell. No, when he hears me do the rim shot on the desk, he's protecting against potential prowlers. And prowlers include everyone who, who is not either me or Annette, up to and including our own kids.
Starting point is 00:35:53 He's very loving and very protective. And today, well, oh, he was so sweet. I went into the kitchen there in the mansion and started putting together a pan of homemade biscuits. And, ooh, they were good. because while I was over across the river for provisions yesterday, I noticed something in the deli case there at Kroger's. They had a country-style ham in the deli section that was completely deep-owned. And so I just decided to get a taste, and it was damn delicious.
Starting point is 00:36:35 I could hear my mom and my dad and the Great Beyond saying, yeah, this is what it's supposed to taste like. and so today I made a big pan of biscuits and fried up a couple of slices of that lovely ham and did ham and cheese biscuits and Shadow watched me as though he was eager to learn how to cook and one of these days he'll learn how to walk up right and grow some thumbs and get right in there and make biscuits with me
Starting point is 00:37:06 oh he's so sweet God I love him to pieces and so we don't give him people food much at all but in this instance there was nothing really there to harm him so yeah him got him got a little bit of biscuit and him loved it very very much I saw he smiled oh he smiled apologies for scaring the dog Lee in New York says please inform the four-legged one that I am not a threat no you're not
Starting point is 00:37:38 you're not that's entirely on me Lee I should know better. But I'm still learning too. And from Cynthia, well, yay, Cynthia says about time. Out in California, yay, lo and behold, that state has finally banned child marriage. Gavin Newsom signed the legislation into law.
Starting point is 00:38:17 and it says people have to be at least 18 years old to get married there in the Golden State. Good on you. It took a while, but child brides are A-OK in 32 of the 50 states. And even mathematically charged... challenged me, knows that that's more than half of the states. Gavin Newsom said it was a long overdue measure to protect young Californians and minors. Present for the bill signing was a woman named Courtney Stodden. Her parents let her marry a 50-year-old Hollywood actor when she was only 16 years old.
Starting point is 00:39:35 She said survivors of child marriage should never have been expected to carry. this burden. And she said she'll keep fighting until children are protected from marriage in all 50 states. Protected from marriage! See, that's the problem. That's your feminism for you there. Protected from marriage. Marriage is how women's gets protected.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Oh, how gross. And it's not like Ms. Stodden is, you know, 90 years old. The 50-year-old that her parents allowed her to marry is Doug Hutchison. who had roles in the Green Mile, A Time to Kill, and I Am Sam. And the marriage took place in 2011. Jesus. One former child bride speaking to the BBC said, California has sent a clear message to the world today,
Starting point is 00:40:42 a message of hope for all children that they may be free from systemic violence. They may choose their own path. And Brittany B. said that she married at 17 to get out of an abusive home, only then was only then abused by her adult husband. She said I was just going from one prison to another. People have the audacity to tell me that I made a choice. Kids, they can't consent. Maybe check and see if you live in a state where child marriage,
Starting point is 00:41:19 and when we say child, we mean girl child's, is still legal. But thanks for letting me know, Cynthia, that's a, that's a, little bit of good news. From George and Corsegold, Indian summer, we're starting a heat wave here in California, upper 90s here for probably the next couple of weeks. You can have it. I wish I could dial it up, say, smack dab in the middle of propane season, about mid-January to all of February and have it then. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Calling Dr. Freud, Dave in the Blind says, sounds to me like Junior, you know, Bobbo. needs to lie down on the couch and consult the greatest psychiatrist ever known, Lucy Van Pelt. But he should not pick his teeth with his toenails or raccoon penises in her presence. It would be considered rude. Signed your buddy, Dave in the blind. P.S. Go South Park. That's South. I misspoke. That is no longer South Park. The name of the program is now South America.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Yes. and with the mention of child brides, well, and the child abuse that takes place within them, I suppose we have to talk about this, and well, none of these ever come out with, There are a few issues in this country that will fracture progressives and liberals. And capital punishment, yeah, Stodden, thank you, Jeremy, Doug from the Green Mile. I can't picture him right off the bat, but yeah, that's just gross.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Yesterday, last night, down in the state of Tennisan, they decided they wanted to kill somebody. The state of Tennisan did. They wanted to execute the first woman to be murdered in the name of the state in over 200 years, so that would be back before 1826. Yeah, Tennessee hadn't even been a... state for that long. And of course, like I said, nothing fractures, liberals, and progressives quite like, well, I mean, there are a couple other issues that do, but yeah, capital punishment is one.
Starting point is 00:44:41 I'm not a fan of capital punishment for a variety of reasons. But the woman in question is 50 years old. and of course the case became well it got national attention and the hard cases make bad law that was one of the first things I ever heard when I started having my cup of coffee in law school her name Krista Pike and horror of horrors She was born in Beckley, West Virginia.
Starting point is 00:45:40 She has been in prison for literally all of her adult life. And back years ago, at the age of 18, she was involved in a torture and a murder of another girl that some evidence suggests she thought was interested in her boyfriend. Ah, Jesus. And so they did. They tortured the girl. She, another girl, and the boyfriend, tortured and murdered this girl. The facts as they emerged were disgusting and horrifying and traumatizing and heartbreaking.
Starting point is 00:46:47 There's no argument about any of that. when they took her to trial, well, she was 18, legally an adult. The boyfriend, however, was a juvenile at, I think 17, and so he could not be subjected to an adult trial and could not at the time be subjected to the death penalty. So he got life with the possibility of parole, and he'll probably be getting out soon. The other girl who took place part in the murder,
Starting point is 00:47:35 well, she turned snitch on both the guy and Krista Pike, and she got, now this was a murder, and she was one of the murderers, she got probation, not kidding. And so they tried Krista Pike. found the jury tried and true found her guilty and then the court ordered that she'd be murdered in the name of the state for her participation in the murder of somebody else well her day finally came last night her appellate lawyers had worked tirelessly going through the file to find every error that was made along the way noting that she didn't exactly have a matlock for defense counsel or Perry Mason or anybody from the cast of LA law or Boston legal. But they also noted factors from her young life at the time that she committed the murder down in Knoxville, Tennessee. Oh, God. Content warning. Trigger warning. Like I said, she was from Beckley, West Virginia.
Starting point is 00:49:33 That's where she was born. And I've had occasion in my life to deal with cases of child sexual abuse, and they scar the victim, and they scar the people who are charged with dealing, with administering justice, so-called, for such victims. Ah, God. A man, at least adjacent to her family. began raping Krista Pike when she was two years old and continued to rape her through age five. I have not seen anything suggesting that he was ever either charged, tried, or convicted.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Another man raped her when she was 11. He got probation. and shortly before the murder in question had taken place, another man raped her. Behavioral health officials, experts, said that she was a wreck between bipolar disorder and PTSD, and her lawyers argued, you know, that should have at least been considered in sentencing,
Starting point is 00:51:56 because it wasn't. Yeah, Your Honor, what was she wearing when she was two? Oh, pamper's, judges. God damn. But she did do the murder, and no doubt about it. And so the state of Tennisan said, by God, we're going to kill her. And her execution date was set for yesterday,
Starting point is 00:52:39 the last day of September, 2006. The state of Tennisstan had brandy, and new protocols for murdering people in the name of the state, and the new protocols called for them to OD her on phenobarbital and have another bolus dose of phenobarbital in reserve in case they didn't manage to murder her with the first dose. Well, they got her in there, and they got her strapped to the horizontal crucifix. they asked her if she had any last words
Starting point is 00:53:35 and she said, I leave this life with love for the people I love and for the people who don't love me. And then some monster paid to do the job with a doctor on standby and witnesses behind the glass watched as the executioner pushed down the plunger and sent the phenobarbital coursing through her veins and that's when everything went to hell
Starting point is 00:54:14 because she didn't die. What she did, however, was suffer a lot. They gave her the second dose. That one didn't kill her either, and then after waiting and letting her suffer for a couple more hours, they took her to the hospital. Oh, really, they took her to the hospital to try to treat her and bring her back to life
Starting point is 00:54:58 so that they could murder her yet again at a later date. The maggot governor of Tennisan, Bill Lee, said a little bit before midnight, after she'd been tortured real good for a while. Carrying out a lawfully imposed sentence is among the state's most serious responsibilities. and the people of Tennessee expect it to be done in a manner that is not only legal and constitutional, but is effective. I've ordered a comprehensive third-party review to determine exactly what occurred. Well, Magabille, what occurred was you tried to murder her, then you tried to murder her again, and you didn't get to murder her.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Meanwhile, fearing for their phony-ballony jobs, officials of the State Department of Corrections gave a statement late at night saying, The Timothy Department of Corrections followed every step of the state's lawful-established execution protocol, protocol approved by the Attorney General's office. The lethal injection chemical in the protocal has consistently been effective and the protocol does not allow for additional procedures
Starting point is 00:56:47 beyond what was carried out this evening. Chris Pike has been transported to an off-site medical facility. Oh, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. By the way, the murder happened back in 1990. She has not seen the light of freedom since then. The report from USA Today says the execution Wednesday went awry quickly. After Pike received two syringes filled with lethal injection chemicals, phenobarbital. She was still alive and experiencing unnecessary agony.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Her lawyers went to the Tennessee Supreme Court and said, you gotta stop this and the Tennessee Supreme Court said no we don't kill her some more the lawyer said she experienced super added physical and mental suffering and uh Jesus Christ
Starting point is 00:58:10 the Tennessee Supreme Court pushing their coonskin caps back on their head said well the motion's moot because she ain't been pronounced dead yeah you're you're moot Your motion ain't got no merit because she ain't dead yet. Behold the wisdom of Maga.
Starting point is 00:58:45 This was awful. And, you know, somewhere in the course of this, we probably need to talk about the constitutional standard here, namely cruel and unusual punishment. And it should be noted that, yes, this did make it all the way to the Supreme Court. It was in process of being decided that the execution had been delayed it was within the jurisdiction of the 6th United States Circuit Court of Appeals
Starting point is 00:59:21 when maggots in Tennessee went running to our most puissant dread sovereign Supreme Catholic majesties you know what they said right emergency emergency and you know old balls and strikes
Starting point is 00:59:48 and Sammy bad breath and Clarence Pubes on the Coke can Faffy Thomas and Fratboy Neil and Beerboof and Brat and The Handmaid all said, It's definitely an emergency. Nope, Killer, Killer, kill her real good. Well, we don't want to interfere with the process of killing her. While the three smart ladies on the court said, Why did you interfere with the process that was already underway in the Sixth Circuit? Y'all don't understand the meaning of emergency, do you? But like I said, there were witnesses there.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Because we like to have our state-sponsored homicides all nice and regular-like, so we let some reporters in and whatnot, and they sit behind a window and they watch the state. commit the homicide, and then they come out and they talk about it, or write about it, or broadcast about it. And usually they stay until the victim is dead. Well, that's not how it played out last night there in Tannistan, no. The witnesses were told, uh, you all need to leave. And they said, she's still alive. care, y'all got to go.
Starting point is 01:01:31 And as they stood around, they noticed that an ambulance had shown up. They didn't leave, the witnesses didn't. They were waiting to hear from the Tennessee Department of Corrections. And finally,
Starting point is 01:01:49 prison officials came along and said, you all got to leave the property, or you will be arrested for trespassing? I don't know that they threatened to arrest him for trespassing, but that would be the charge if they said no. Along the way, Christa Pike, whose final words were loved to those she loved and to those who didn't love her, well, she got to say some more things, like, my arm feels like it's
Starting point is 01:02:23 about to burst open. Jesus. One of the witnesses was Kim Chandler, with the Associated Press, and speaking afterwards said, She said she had love for the people who were out here hating on her. She closed her statement with saying, I'm at peace, I'm ready to be free. And then something about celebrating her freedom, and then she closed with this as a happy day. Meanwhile, the state says, you know what?
Starting point is 01:03:11 This is took in too long. Oh, this just gone on too long. We should have done Kilt her several times over by now. Abraham Bonowitz, one of the co-founders of death penalty action, gave a statement saying the incompetence of the Tennessee Department of Corrections sets the bar at the lowest level tonight. There are no other words. This is an outrage. How do they sleep at night? Well, very well, Mr. Bonowitz. Very well indeed, because they don't have, they're maggots, you see. they don't have much in the way of an actual conscience. They only get outraged when the maggot machine cranks up
Starting point is 01:04:01 to tell them what to be outraged about. Over at the U.S. campaign to end the death penalty, Laura Porter, the executive director there, said people from all kinds of different organizations called for a halt to this disaster. These pleas were ignored. The state of Tennessee has shown the world it cannot be trusted to implement capital punishment in a way that preserves human dignity and the rule of law.
Starting point is 01:04:35 This has to stop now. Jesus. How do they sleep at night? Okay, Lee. Odd to think we would have a Ramalama ding-dong during a story like this. But nonetheless, we do. How do they sleep at night? Probably on my pillow.
Starting point is 01:05:12 Oh, Jesus. Jeremy says this will keep happening because the companies that make said chemicals are one by one shutting out state death machines and not selling said drugs to them is making states experiment with different chemicals to kill people. Or maybe we could just join the family of civilized nations and stop doing that. Too much hutch, I'm not quite sure I'm getting the full gist of your message. But, you know, back in August,
Starting point is 01:06:29 lawyer said, listen, she's got really small veins. This is probably not going to work. That process at the sixth United States Circuit Court of Appeals that our most puissant dread sovereign Supreme Catholic Majesty's, well, overrode on pleas of emergency. We must kill her now. Her attorney said before the Sixth Circuit, this is the first time in the history of Ms. Pike's case that the state is conceded her history of child sexual abuse and rape. Indeed, the state called Ms. Pike a pathological liar in earlier proceedings in this case. Yeah, the Sixth Circuit had issued a stay saying it was necessary to adequately address and resolve the issues now presented to this court. Those were two Democratic members of the Sixth Circuit, or not Democrat-appointed members.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Meanwhile, the good, God, fear, and upstanding Bible believe in Christ-centered evil, evangelical gun-devilist, ammo, sexual Christian, Republican said, oh, this is a last-ditch, meritless effort to delay a lawful execution. I wish I could kill her myself. I added that last part. And with a nice little barb at the six most puissant dread Catholic majesties, Sonia Sotomayor said, I see no reason to short-circuit the ordinary process of appellate review,
Starting point is 01:08:37 particularly in light of the grave consequences of erroneous decision. She said the law is clear that we exercise caution before acting irretrievably. We are a court of review, not of first view. Today, the court, as it has too often lately, chooses to overlook that principle precisely when it matters. matters most. And women's advocacy groups stepped in, talking about the lived experience of those who have survived horrors like Krista Pike endured as a child, telling the Tennessee Supreme Court back on September 10th, she will relive that at the moment of death, she will relive the sounds, the smells, and the pain of what happened to her. She will feel it now as she did then, and it will be as horrific for her now as it was then. We have very little doubt that Krista Pike will go to her death, believing and feeling that she is being raped yet again.
Starting point is 01:09:56 And, of course, the Tennessee is bringing... Yeah? So? It's a woman. Who gives a shit? Back when she was 11, that rape caused her to try suicide afterward. As for... Oh, stand by, please.
Starting point is 01:11:36 I'm sorry. That was my daughter, Doodle. and she's a thousand miles away and generally doesn't call during the program so I take her call when she does. Everything's okay. But back to the case at hand, the Attorney General's office who was, you know, we're just doing our job, said, Pikes prior abuse and mental struggles are tragic to say the least. but they are no cause to insulate her from a lawfully imposed and exhaustively reviewed death sentence that a jury of her peers imposed purely because of her own horrific conduct.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Jesus. And the victim's parents said, I just want Krista down so I can end it. leave my daughter so she finally can be resting. There's not a day goes by that I don't think about Colleen or how she died, and how rough it was. And he was sitting there in Nashville waiting to watch her die. Buddy, it was a horror.
Starting point is 01:13:25 But if between 1995 and 2006 you have not been able to make some kind of peace? Have you been to therapy, buddy? because wanting to watch somebody die is pretty pathological. Speaking to WBIR TV in Knoxville, he said, I'll hold Colleen's picture up to remind her of what she did. She never apologized, never even tried, or her family. What family? The family that didn't protect her from being raped between the ages of two and five in Beckley, West Virginia, that family?
Starting point is 01:14:12 For all intents and purposes, Krista Pai. whatever you think of her, has spent 27 years basically in solitary confinement. One would think that would be punishment enough for the bloodthirsty among us, but, well, it wasn't. No. And, of course, it has to become the object of the most repulsive of politics. Bill Lee's going to have a blue-ribbon maggot commission. Look into the situation. Yeah, and, well, you know who's running to replace Bill Lee as Tenistands Goobner, right?
Starting point is 01:15:28 That's right. Current Senator Marcia, goodness, Blackburn, fine Christian lady with her home-ac bachelor's degree from busted knuckle tech or wherever the fuck she went. You know what her answer was? Well, you know what? We just need to quit this stupid lethal injection business. And what I'm going to do when I'm governor is I'm going to bring back the electric chair. And I promise the citizens of the great state of Tennessee that if I bring back the electric chair, I'll be standing there of pulling the switch.
Starting point is 01:16:18 I want to watch them burn. I want to watch them die. I want to smell their roasting flesh. Because she's a Christian. You know, they worship a man who was tortured to death on a cross. You'd think they'd not be so fond of, well, what would the whole do unto others as you'd have them do unto you? Right. Hey, Marsha, you supported the January 6th insurrection against the people of the United States, the government thereof, and the Constitution thereof.
Starting point is 01:17:02 What if somebody, what if a court of competent jurisdiction found that was treason? Hmm, hmm, would you want the electric chair for yourself then, Marsha? Be a hell of a lot more than, oh, my nose, oh my nose, oh my nose. Marsha said While there should be a thorough review of what happened And why the process failed The answer is simple Bring back the electric chair
Starting point is 01:17:36 And deliver justice for these vicombs swiftly You know Marsha I don't think you should hog the killing duties all to yourself lady Maybe you could have a lottery there in Tennessee Where some lucky Tennastan gets to be the killer Oh, I bet you the maggots, if you was to sell $1 tickets, I bet you the maggots would, and you know what? You could put it into, oh, a slush fund for something the maggots love. You could put it into buying a red hat for every Tennantian who wanted one. Oh, they would love it so much.
Starting point is 01:18:29 They'd be so much fun, Marsha. goodness the chief executive of officer of reprieve a human rights organization said how can anyone
Starting point is 01:18:53 who witnessed what happened in Tennessee last night claim that executions are constitutional or humane the state was warned clearly
Starting point is 01:19:00 and repeatedly that proceeding with this lethal injection execution risk torturing Krista Pike but went ahead
Starting point is 01:19:06 anyway as for Tennessee's part they said the lethal injection chemical in the protocol has consistently been effective, and the protocal does allow for additional procedures
Starting point is 01:19:21 beyond what was carried out this evening. We could have killed her some more. Evil sons of bitches. You know what? When they get up there to them pearly gates, I don't think Jesus is going to be real happy with this, Marsha. No. And so here we are, and nobody really knows anything about what...
Starting point is 01:20:03 I'm sure. most of Tennessee and, well, most of the United States of America sitting there. I sure shit hopes she's suffering a lot in their hospital till we can kill her some more. The next time anybody wants to bring out the horrors and atrocities of the regime in Iran, and they are horrifying and they are atrocious. I think somebody should maybe just remind them of Christopike. The Death Penalty Information Center, and their executive, director, Robin Mayer, said this event is the worst we've seen, and unlike any other
Starting point is 01:20:57 botched execution in the modern era, there is no precedent. And you know what? That's saying a lot when just south of the state of Tennisan down in Alabama, they like to put a bag over people's heads and just strangle them to death. It's enough to make you hope for an afterlife, ain't it? You know, so that people like Bill Lee and old balls and strikes, Yeah, Roberts and frat boy Neil and Sammy Bad Breath, Alito, and Clarence Pubes on the Coke Can Fappy Thomas, and Beerboof and Brat and his law clerk squeam and quiff
Starting point is 01:22:06 and the handmaid and that one Republican asshole on the three-judge panel down in the Sixth Circuit and the Tennessee Supreme Court and the guy who pressed the plunger and the head of the Tennessee Department of Corrections, can all one by one go before the seat of glory and be told, get ye to the lake of fire, I have prepared for the devil and his angels. Kind of missed that whole Matthew 25 thing, didn't you, boys and girls? Cruel and unusual punishment.
Starting point is 01:22:48 See, that's the bugger in the process here. being as how the wealthy white men who crafted the constitution, well, many of them were inured to the idea of torture, seeing as how they routinely beat the human beings whom they enslaved and sometimes murdered, because they had that legal right well in their originalist intent they wanted to make sure
Starting point is 01:23:35 everybody understood real good that you could be cruel but if it wasn't unusual it was still okay you could be unusual but if it wasn't cruel you could still be okay
Starting point is 01:23:52 you had to be both cruel and unusual and that is the hook upon which generation after generation of mostly white men at the Supreme Court of the United States have hung their hat in saying,
Starting point is 01:24:11 no, kill them. Can we watch? We're not going to lose a wink of sleep. No, sir, not a wink. And the name of Jesus. And yeah, one more little fact. As Kim in New York points out the
Starting point is 01:24:36 doctor who tried to kill Krista Pike also fucked up another execution a guy named Tony Carruthers the doctor is Mark Fowler and yeah he he screwed up
Starting point is 01:25:31 he screwed up another individual's homicide in the name of the state apparently well there's a reason he's an execution doctor Krista Pike's lawyers said, Tonight, the state of Tennessee once again failed to carry out a lawful execution. We take no pleasure in being right,
Starting point is 01:26:11 but the concerns raised by Ms. Pike proved to be true. Difficult vein access, blown veins, degraded phenobarbital. Wait a minute, degraded phenobarbital? That means it was past its sell-by date? Where'd they get it? Did they buy it from some dude in the street, probably? No emergency medical care available. when things inevitably go wrong, all under a protocol that remains veiled in secrecy.
Starting point is 01:26:53 Jesus. Well, like I said, that no issue divides the country. Well, there are just a couple of issues that do. Well, capital punishment is one of them. And we're at the halfway point of the program. we've got challenges on the table. Bruce and Karen's Memorial Challenge is here for the first broadcast day of the month. And in addition to that, Ralph says a $25 challenge.
Starting point is 01:27:35 I saw this earlier. This is in addition to the first of the month challenge, so that bumps it by $25 if somebody jumps in. with another 25, it'll be, well, that'll get us all the way to $300 raised this evening. So far, we are a goose egg. Lord of mercy. From something as horrifying as Christa Pike to something that's just, well, talk about an unforced error. They've got a problem over at MS now, formerly MSNBC.
Starting point is 01:28:31 and you know I noticed something earlier today back before the split between MSNBC and NBC MS now now you know my my former filthy morning habit had gone to four hours well that turned out to be apparently too much for the morning zoo crew four hours it's just that's a lot and then well now they're not at now they just go till nine and then Stephanie Ruhl takes over. But that's neither hearing her there. The ordinary afternoon editorial meeting took a turn for the unpleasant, uncomfortable,
Starting point is 01:29:28 twisted, and bizarre yesterday as they announced, the executives announced to the senior producers that as early as today, that MS Now, no, really, MS Now, would start running one of the patently illegal taxpayer-funded ads for Nitwit Nero and his criminal organization. This is after MS Now has repeatedly run stories about how problematic those things. ads are and problematic is doing a lot of work there for illegal and probably felonious and people in the meeting were to say the very least shock and i imagine felt betrayed natalie corrock of
Starting point is 01:30:46 status said the participants in the meeting were startled some staffers are pissed one person old Korok, everyone is very aware that our audience is going to hate this. Whatever happened to cost-benefit analysis, you take the ad dollars, but you lose viewers. And that determines future ad dollars, your viewers. The chief suit at MS now is one Rebecca Cutler, and she said, well, she agreed with Greg Kordick. the senior vice president of programming at MS now who said we plan to release a statement after the ad airs oh you plan to close the barn door after the horse is gone
Starting point is 01:31:55 gotcha but chief suit Rebecca Cutler wanted the statement to point out that Trump refers to the network is failing but was still spending money to run spots on the channel oh that's genius oh my goodness gracious Becky that's brilliant Ooh, that's some a levity dimensional chess, hon. Becky there also said that someone had suggested that they, that MS now say,
Starting point is 01:32:34 hey, here's how much they paid us, and then donate the proceeds to charity. But Becky, no, Cordick said that, but Becky overruled him and said, she didn't wish to go that far and inflamed the situation. that's going to that's going to put people like Nicole Wallace and Jehoshaphat in a real spot Jehoshaphat
Starting point is 01:33:06 said these filthy grift sodden ads are bad for America Nicole Wallace said they were Putin-esque propaganda and North Korean state TV Jesus how do you get to be a broadcast executive? Do you just
Starting point is 01:33:30 suck at broadcasting long enough and they make you the president of whatever i don't know hey uh stand by i'll be right back and uh if you're whoever's on hold on the stress line don't go away sorry about that uh but uh well where were we yeah oh yeah um ms now you know what this may be a levity dimensional chess it occurred to me. I was thinking. You know, they got pilloried for the billions of dollars in free publicity that they gave to Canckel's Collegula in his first run for the presidency. Back in 2016, it wasn't his first run.
Starting point is 01:39:18 It was second, actually, but who's counting? And everybody said, yeah, well, you gave him $3 billion in free publicity. So this time through, I guess, what's her name, Becky? Becky Cutler is going to say, well, see, now we're charging him. See, we're smart, we can learn. Thanks for the reminder, Ralphson.
Starting point is 01:39:47 Again, it would be great if we could raise $275 for the challenge. Thank you. Let's see. no penibarbital Leah in New York says my father took that along with the lantern to help with his epilepsy yeah it can help I mean
Starting point is 01:40:11 that's one of the that's that's one of the just more disgusting aspects of this horizontal crucifixion protocol is that you know drugs have good uses but they can also have evil uses see tennestan
Starting point is 01:40:35 i'm just surprised tennestan you know they'd be embarrassed that's what it is they'd be embarrassed they i'm sure there are maggot legislatures in tennestan who would like to put a bag over somebody's head and just strangle them to death like they do down in Alabama but dang it we can't be copying
Starting point is 01:40:54 Alabama that that'll just make them feel all uppity and what not ah yeah um and from Cynthia ever notice how Republicans like to kill they take pleasure in it it's like how dare she not die
Starting point is 01:41:13 I'm sure they'll try again unless it's not stopped altogether the fucking psychopaths and being such a godfearing Christian Cynthia points out Marsha would say that Matthew 25 is only for Christians even as you noted Christianity didn't even exist when Jesus supposedly
Starting point is 01:41:31 was around psychopaths They are that. No getting around it. So let's run over to the stress line, see who's been patiently waiting. Hey, welcome to the program. I know this is unusual for me, Roxanne. Hi, Dave.
Starting point is 01:41:49 But I felt like I had to call in tonight. Okay. Two things. Christine told me after I talked to you, she told me how serious her medical condition was. was when she got to the hospital. She had a blood clot in her long. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:42:13 And she was disoriented and she had pneumonia. They had her in the cardiac unit for several days, and they downloaded her to a nursing home for rehabilitation. And she's doing all. okay now. But last night, my brother and my sisters had to
Starting point is 01:42:46 call my dad upon the carpet and give him a choice. He could either ride to the hospital with Bob, or they would call an ambulance and have him dragged to the hospital.
Starting point is 01:43:04 He has a heart of him. And they don't know what they're. And he's 81 years old and he's had a heart valve rebuilt and they don't know if it's that or what exactly is going on. So that that's what's going on in Dave Land right now.
Starting point is 01:43:30 As far as this botched execution, you take into consideration the crime that she committed, and I'm making no excuse for that. But there are always circumstances that courts should take into account. And in the late 90s, they weren't taking into account the sexual abuse history of the defendants in a lot of cases because it would have been
Starting point is 01:44:16 inconvenient to have a psychiatrist look over with the court and say wait a minute there's something you need to consider because of something called details
Starting point is 01:44:32 I know they talked about it to you in law school but especially in maggots country like Calabandiana and other proto-magic states back then
Starting point is 01:44:50 it's killing now, kill them often fuck the Constitution we'll wipe our asses with it what's not in the grand scheme of things you've got to remember it wasn't that long ago that dim leader during the reign of error said that
Starting point is 01:45:13 the Constitution of the United States was just a goddamn piece of paper. Well, he was wrong. It's not a piece of paper. It's a piece of villain. And there is a difference. I mean, and there's a reason that his mama
Starting point is 01:45:35 took up literacy as her cause when when George H.W. was in the White House. Because she knew her boy George had trouble. with his words and his reading and such. So she had experience with that.
Starting point is 01:45:59 That's why the proto maggots loved him until he made noises about how bad Donald Trump would be as president. And then they turned on his hat. But what's not cruel and unusual about this situation? they pumped her full of expired Treenabarbital, which I would remind that dear listeners is a very powerful drug. My high school sweetheart was an epileptic
Starting point is 01:46:41 and that was one of the drugs in her three drug cocktail to keep her grandma seizures at a distance. Yeah, Dave, Leah in New York mentioned his dad being on Phenobarb and Dylanton for his epilepsy. Yeah, yeah, those were two of the drugs my high school sweetheart, Annette, was on. And she, those drugs were so bad that she could be shooting across from me and have swanourable. of seizures and I wouldn't know it until she started snapping out of it.
Starting point is 01:47:35 I never saw a grandmother seizure with her, but she has had them in the past. But why in the hell would you not take into consideration the abuse history of the defendant?
Starting point is 01:47:54 I'm not saying that they should release her into the general public. No. But they should not bring down the ultimate wrath of the state, and that's all it is wrath. It's not teaching anything. It's not discouraging anything. It's pure and utter vengeance. And these good God-Paring Christians don't seem to remember that their Old Testament deity,
Starting point is 01:48:30 scarred it spouting shit about vengeance is mine. It's not yours. But they seem to gloss over that. And as far as Marsha is concerned, I think that an ancient Roman legal tradition needs to be
Starting point is 01:48:55 instituted in the United States. I think I know where you're going. That if a prosecutor brings a case where the defendant is found not guilty, the prosecuting party suffers the punishment that would have been set for the would-be defendant. I guarantee you there'd be a lot more thought about what goes on the problem. prosecuting cases. If we just bring back that simple little ancient Roman legal tradition, you'd have far less political prosecutions.
Starting point is 01:49:47 Arlen Spector comes to mine. You know, you'd have a lot less grandstanding on the death penalty. I'd like to see how these guys would face up the crucifixion after or falsely accusing some poor schlub of treason or some other capital offense. And there were good many more capital offenses back then. And not to put too fine a point on it, but those of you were saying that, Dave, you run a real fake crucifixion business,
Starting point is 01:50:26 I would remind you that I and my crew do not at any time provide horizontal crucifixies or crucifixes of any kind to state entities we had an order for 40,000
Starting point is 01:50:47 crucifixes from the people's republic of China. They have a bigger killing out of this than even the Texans. Come on, Austin. You got it. You got You got to work it up.
Starting point is 01:51:05 I mean, hell. It's nothing for the Chinese to kill 4,000 in one year. If you're so gung-ho about the death penalty, why don't you double it and show what real executions are like? Well, you know, I don't necessarily disagree, but I can be a moderate on this day. how about just bringing back the the ancient Roman tradition of exile
Starting point is 01:51:38 you know where say the convicted would be denied fire or water within a thousand miles of Rome a thousand I mean it's a big country now so we'd have to make it a thousand miles well okay but that also means they'd have to go on foot
Starting point is 01:52:01 you couldn't provide assistance by flying them out of the area. Right. No, they got to walk. Yeah, well, if that's my case. And, you know, they're going to, a thousand miles from any border of the United States is going to let Canada and Mexico out of it. Yeah. Not sure about Venezuela.
Starting point is 01:52:39 Well. with the way Gypshit Donnie's declaring places that he has no reason to claim as part of the United States they're violating the Monroe Doctrine
Starting point is 01:52:56 but if you're the United States is okay Right, I mean You begin to wonder what these maggots are going to do once Johnny is dead. and gone. Are they going to declare him the divine president? Like the Romans did with
Starting point is 01:53:27 Arturian? And that's a possibility. Oh, hell. No, wait, wait. Ah, dang it, Dave. I just realized what they're going to do. What? Well, I mean, you know what the names of July and August used to be before Julius Caesar and Octavian, right? They were just Quinktillus and Sex-Tillus.
Starting point is 01:54:07 Darn it. Or septillus and whatever. Anyway, they were... Then the good maggots on an Aron-Core and name a month after Melchillis. Aha. No, they'll name the month of June. It'll be Dinalvis.
Starting point is 01:54:30 Did you see my point? Oh, but I do. Yes, Mel Tillis. Of course. It's not every day in broadcast anymore that you get a good Mel Tillis reference. This is probably the only podcast that has one in it today. Or for weeks of land. You'd have to sing the month so that you wouldn't scatter it,
Starting point is 01:54:52 which was how Mel got discussed. He was working in a gas station, and his boss realized that he didn't stammer when he was singing along with the radio. So he told him, why don't you sing the prices to the customers? And he was, I believe he was in Memphis or Nashville at the time, and that's how a music executive found him. offer of a contract. And that's a true story. Yeah, as I understand it. But he,
Starting point is 01:55:42 but yeah, we named a month, we, we, we, we renamed the month of the September after milk kills. That way
Starting point is 01:55:56 Johnny can't claim it for himself. But his birthday's in June. But that doesn't matter, Roxanne. He'll claim whatever month is available. So we rename June Mill Tillis. And then we go about renaming the other months so that Donnie can't name them after himself. See? And then he declares himself God and says,
Starting point is 01:56:27 all that's wrong, and all my loving followers should name them all after me. Every month is now gone the first through the 12th. But how is it that these guys keep getting away with this shit in blood-red states, and I do mean blood. I was fiddling around until they get exactly what they want and then say, well, the Constitution doesn't say we can't kill them again and again and again. No. The general process of executions in the European tradition has been if you try it and fail, the defendant goes free. Right, yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:33 but to address your essential question, how do they keep getting away with it? You know, maybe, you know, what I say here, you know, I kid and I joke and I Josh and I have funny voices and things like that. But when I say that the United States is in a state of constitutional collapse, I'm not kidding. They only get away with it because we are in a state of constitutional collapse. And it's being aided and abetted by our most puissant dread sovereign Supreme Catholic majesties up in D.C. The Christa Pike story is a classic case in point. The sixth United States Circuit Court of Appeals was doing its job, as Justice Sotomayor pointed out, when under a claim of emergency,
Starting point is 01:58:39 which is just the, the fig leaf that they used to give maggot states their way and trump his way, whatnot, those fascist goons on the court intervened, where they legally had no business intervening. had a Supreme Court worthy of the title Roxanne
Starting point is 01:59:14 they would smack these petitions down summarily because they can't prove that there's a risk to life and limb or there's a danger to the government or
Starting point is 01:59:34 that there is some crisis that would harm the citizens of a particular jurisdiction. Yeah, in equitable practice and law and equity were merged by the modern rules of civil procedure on the federal level.
Starting point is 01:59:53 But in equity practice, you pray for petitions, you don't sue for relief, and you know, the extraordinary writs are there. And, for instance, in a writ of mandamus,
Starting point is 02:00:08 you have to allege the likelihood of irreparable harm coming to the petitioner if the relief in question is not granted. Well, there was no, and so that, you know, that concept is out there, but there was no irreparable harm to the state of Tennessee in having to wait to make sure that their method of execution was appropriate and, you know, even effective. she's been on death row for over 30 years yeah a few more months or a couple more years
Starting point is 02:00:46 is not going to make a goddamn bit of difference none you should get it right I mean there are those who believe that Bruno Hauptmann was not nearly as guilty
Starting point is 02:01:07 if he was made out to be during the Lindberg case but they sure shit killed him and there's even a more obvious case uh
Starting point is 02:01:24 mary sarat and i know you know who i'm talking about yes the owner of the inn where uh john wilkes booth
Starting point is 02:01:35 and his conspirators met and it wasn't even necessarily booth it was just a couple of the other conspirators and they they they they they They had a room in her rooming house there in what is now Chinatown in D.C. And that building, that historic building, is now a rather tasty Chinese restaurant.
Starting point is 02:01:57 Chinese restaurant? Yeah. But they weren't even talking about killing Lincoln when they were renting a room from Mrs. Surrott. It was a kidnapping. And Mrs. Surat was, to be clear about it, Clark, fan, Mrs. Sarat was actually executed because she was a supporter of the Confederacy. Yeah, she was a confederate. Not that she was wanting Lincoln killed.
Starting point is 02:02:31 But that she was a supporter. They never adduced any evidence against her involved in the plot against Lincoln. But this is another one of those moments of constitutional, lapse that is instructive to the modern era. Because in that instance, the Supreme Court of the United States halted her execution, and the military government of Washington, D.C., said, fuck it, we're killing her anyway. And I think her defense attorney ended up hanging up his law license
Starting point is 02:03:09 and became the editor, I think, the New Yorker. crimes. I don't know about that. I think he went into newspapers. I couldn't be wrong about which paper, but he did become a newspaper editor. He stopped practicing law shortly after
Starting point is 02:03:33 she was executed. Or let's call it what he is, murdered. Exactly. And the and I used to turn loosely, trial
Starting point is 02:03:49 of the conspirators by military commission with a ham-handed, ham-fisted procedure where such luminaries of legal non-scholarship as
Starting point is 02:04:11 Lou Wallace amateur phonologists determined the guilt of various parties like Dr. Mud because the secrecy bump was extremely large. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:36 The writer of the novel Benher, which he wrote part of here in Taliban, Annapolis on the east side in my old neighborhood, was a enthusiast of
Starting point is 02:04:55 chronology, reading the bumps on people. Yes. And we have a similar situation now in that, well, if Doggy says that we must do it because he's God, come to luya. And unfortunately, they're going to be all kinds of breath when God finally dies. Oh, without a doubt. But, you know, Paula White will make a good dollar out of it.
Starting point is 02:05:36 Give me $1,000 and I'll talk to the best. president personally, she'll go from televangelists and gospel sharks and medium extraordinaire. Anything for a buck, vaccine. Oh, you know that. Absolutely. The money was just too good. But I think, I think if we're going to look at this as a country, this pipe has already suffered the punishment and prolonging that punishment.
Starting point is 02:06:28 because they screwed up should not be allowed. And at this point, I don't know what they do because they've already performed the execution, and that was the prescribed punishment. So the punishment has been administered. If they fail to do it properly, that's not on her. It's not like she was fighting them every way to the gurney. No. No.
Starting point is 02:07:19 You know, she didn't injure any of the guard? No, I wonder in particular how old balls and strikes feels about it, because, of course, none of those six fascists on the court felt compelled to put their name on what they did. Sotomayor and Kagan and Katanji Brown Jackson put their names on what they did. said. But there was a, I guess, a sort of a tearjerker piece in the stack today. According to the New York Times, well, poor old balls and strikes, John Roberts is just not having a, he didn't have a good summer break, Dave. Doggone it He didn't get his stuff
Starting point is 02:08:25 Teddy Bear at King's Island this year Oh no, it's so much worse than that See Old Balls and Strikes owns a house On a little island off the coast of Maine
Starting point is 02:08:38 And for the last 20 years What is this Robert's Island? Well, I mean I guess you could say that uh it's hupor island hup p p r hupper island uh the nearest oh i thought she said huffer no hubper hubper hup i see what you did there uh it's uh just offshore from the mainland town a village of port clyde main and for the last 20 years old balls and strikes has enjoyed let's see 26th gosh that's right about the same time he became chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Starting point is 02:09:20 What a, what a co-winky-dinky. And suddenly he has a probably multi-million dollar vacation home on a little island off the coast of Maine. Son of a gun. I wonder of Leonard Leo
Starting point is 02:09:36 bought that for him. Or maybe Har Har-R-Crow. Or maybe he just bought it for cash himself with the ill-gotten gains that his wife earned because she just happened to be married to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and worked for a silk-stocking recruiting firm for law firms. You never know.
Starting point is 02:09:56 But anyway, he spent the last 20 years, you know, spending his summer breaks from the hard, hard, backbreaking labor of the Supreme Court of the United States. And now, well, gosh darn it, Dave. poor old balls and strikes can't even enjoy his little island anymore I I had to Did he go crying to Susan did he? Oh well he He's I don't know who he was cried But yeah he's he's a crying because
Starting point is 02:10:38 The New York Times found out when they went up to Port Clyde They talked to more than two dozen people who actually live there. They're not just summer people. And they found out that going back to 2022, you know, when he overruled a woman's right to control her own body, all of a sudden the folks there in Port Clyde didn't like him so good anymore. Poor baby. Oh. And so now people... People aren't nice to him there in Port Clyde like they used to be.
Starting point is 02:11:23 No, it's terrible. It's like they're shunning him, Dave. They are. I mean, about half the town hates his goddamn guts now. And I'd say that number is still morally too low. Well, they're being polite about it, Roxanne. They don't want to make them look like the actual creepy is. but you gotta love
Starting point is 02:11:51 you gotta love those people up there since they can't necessarily get to him at his little private island a new form of protest well not it's not really not a new form because they used to do this with Joe to the mansion born there in his yacht in moored in the sea
Starting point is 02:12:11 are you talking about kayaks they call themselves kayakivists that's a good one Yeah, I believe that King Mansion had some dealing with folks like that. Well, they have found... Yeah, they have found... Yeah, they have found Hupper Island, Maine. And so now every summer, the kayakivists paddle up a few hundred yards from his house
Starting point is 02:12:40 and hold up signs telling him what a shithead he is. and there are signs all over Port Clyde that say Roberts benched the Constitution and you know what some members of the local cigar club aren't showing up to smoke stogies with old balls and strikes anymore it's terrible Dave and usually the cigar fish and I isn't the first ones
Starting point is 02:13:15 to embrace you know, well-heeled individuals, Roxanne. The thing is about, and I'm a cigar smoker. A friend and former law partner of old balls and strikes, Mary Ann Mason. Well, Mary Ann said, from what I see, the barrier runs both ways. It's harder for him to feel comfortable approaching people, and vice versa. Well, it's only difficult on the vice versa side is because they know they'd be arrested if they threw cow shit at him.
Starting point is 02:13:55 Well, you know, if he got confronted by a, oh, even a college student in pre-law, they could probably out-argue the son of a bitch. Well, apparently, he can't even go over to much. Monhegan Island, because when people recognized him there, they started shouting, shame, shame, shame at him. Well, that is a classic shunning technique, Roxanne. Yes, it is. Not to get all prayer meeting Wednesday on you, but that is a technique of religious organizations that, you. use shunning as a practice. That's one of the techniques they use to show their displeasure.
Starting point is 02:15:04 A long-time friend of Old Balls and Strikes, Tamara Cody, she said, it's been hard to watch the change. Oh, that poor man, goodness gracious. One of, well, Old Balls and Strikes's best friend in the whole area is a fellow named Kevin Lipson. and he said, Sophilitar should be a guiding principle. But unfortunately, there's a lot of women around there,
Starting point is 02:15:36 and, well, Pepperidge Farm remembers. I have a friend who's originally from a town up there called Friendship. man and it's primarily known as a center for the study of lobsters so
Starting point is 02:16:02 you know maybe he can go out among the lobster boats throwing himself overboard into one of those lobster traps and see if the lobsters will have anything to do with him chances are
Starting point is 02:16:17 the catch will be kind of skinny their lobsters live a long time and they don't like pollution in their waters so the kind of shit that would roll off of balls and strikes would be an ecological hazard but can you imagine what would happen is
Starting point is 02:16:50 this old Johnny got got to summer vacate with with peeps on the Coke in a Walmart parking lot in a motor home that
Starting point is 02:17:07 costs more than either seen in my life can you imagine him spending his summer with with Clarence and Jenjin. I would love to see the videotape of that one.
Starting point is 02:17:30 I wonder how congenial they'd be when the court reopened that following that summer. You know, because familiarity breeds him. And I'm not wishing disharmony among the justices
Starting point is 02:17:51 unless they truly deserve it. But I think they should all vacation together. Oh, this New York Times... This New York Times puff piece was a POS, Dave. I mean, it contained such heartwarming anecdotes as how back in better times old balls and strikes would rub elbows
Starting point is 02:18:18 with the lobstermen and the summer people and the business owners. And when supper time came at an annual gathering, he would remind people how influential he was by saying, oh, yes, oh, yes, oh yes, the lobsters are ready. And everybody would say, oh, isn't that cute, that's because he's on the Supreme Court. You know, Lachan, if they ever do it stand the court to a proper sign, court. Each of the district has a justice representing them.
Starting point is 02:19:00 Because remember, U.S. Supreme Court justices are circuit court judges. The old practice used to be that during the summer break when the court wasn't sitting, they would go to their, they would go. and they would write a circuit. And when those cases would come before the court, the justice or the justices that dealt with that issue would explain it to their colleagues, would explain what the arguments were, things like that.
Starting point is 02:19:49 They actually had a job during the summer break, and I think maybe that needs to have. happen some more because they have, what, almost four months of the year where they're not actively working on cases before the court. And with modern travel and technology, they should be able to keep cabs on the various circuits. I'm not saying they should necessarily ride a circuit like they did in the way. old days.
Starting point is 02:20:30 Well, that required men to sleep with other men. Can't have that. Well, then, that would definitely cause Fathy to ask the question, once again, who puts the pubic hair on my coat can? Oh, dear. Hey, Dave, I'm going to have to call the program short this evening. I apologize. No problem.
Starting point is 02:20:59 And I don't want to communicate. to worry or anything, but I've stopped the program earlier because I was smelling something strange, and hopefully it's somebody burning something outside the mansion. All right, Rock. Something smells hot. We'll talk later. All right. You take care of Dave.
Starting point is 02:21:18 Bye now. Bye. So, yeah, thanks, everybody. Everything's okay, but I am going to investigate, as Dave suggested, and find out just exactly what in hell's going on. Back tomorrow for Friday on the front porch, again, we were a goose egg today. I will forego the usual announcements for the end of the program and simply say, see you tomorrow, and everything's going to be all right.
Starting point is 02:21:50 It's just one of my neighbors is burning boxes or something, but I just want to make sure it's not, you know, the house. Love you all. Bye.
