And where Ralphs is already waiting for the arrival of any and all and sundry. Hi, Ralps. And where perhaps if you'd like to participate, you can pop in at your leisure, it's it's it's the much-ballahood there wasn't a lot to bali-hoo about
Starting point is 00:02:07 there's Zad hi Zad but it's the much Ballyhood 21st birthday edition of the horn mm-hmm it's the official 24th birthday
Starting point is 00:02:21 is tomorrow but it's Saturday so but basically what it boils down to is 21 years ago almost to the day 1.1 years ago tomorrow I think my first words were is this thing on?
Starting point is 00:02:39 Or hello? Hello? Something like that. This program went live. And well, the rest is not exactly broadcast history, but it's
Starting point is 00:02:57 a it's it's every every year that this program survives is a further testament to the brilliance of the community that has built it and maintained it and kept the program going so it's not happy birthday to the horn it's happy birthday of the horn family community congregation uh yes and uh regardless birthday or no every program here at the horn begins with gratitude and this program is no different. And so consequently, thanks go out to our 23rd day of the month contributors and subscribers via PayPal. And that means thank you ever so kindly to Lori, who said, I hope this helps a little just to let you know.
Starting point is 00:04:01 I donated my $90 Trump Medicare bonus to Amy Actman's campaign to try to get her over the top. What a disgusting ad. Happy anniversary as well. Thank you, Lori. Thank you for jumping in and helping out. And thanks as well to our buddy Dave at Mellow Moonslet Meadow. And thanks as well to Rob. Rob jumped in earlier today and said, I'm offering a $10,
Starting point is 00:04:28 Katie Turr fingers on the blackboard challenge. Ooh, Katie Terrible. I'm meeting my own challenge for a total of $20. Long live the horn. Viva da horn. Thank you, Rob. Thank you very kindly. So we're down to, wait a minute, 2745.
Starting point is 00:04:53 $2745. $2,745 finishes the month of October. fully funded. Zed said I was going to pop in tonight but they're putting on our roof with a Bill Murray gift from Scrooge. Would you please hold the
Starting point is 00:05:18 goddamn hammering? Yeah, this is why I love our community. It was a good giggle. Hey, you're getting a roof before the hard weather comes. said count your blessings yeah but yeah we're at 2745 and well we need we need everything what we need this evening is a miracle we need a horn family community congregation man that's all folks no no just easy there
Starting point is 00:06:00 Easy there, trigger. Ralph says, I've got a $50 challenge for the Horniversary for Neil Bush, George W. Bush's brother voting for James Tala Rico. Yeah, apparently, we haven't had anything from Dim Leader or Laura, but yeah, Neil Bush, brother of George and Jebia, W. and Jebja, said, out loud and for God and everybody to know it, that in fact he had voted for James Talarico. Good on you. Good on you, Neil. Putting the state of Texas and the United States
Starting point is 00:06:46 of America first before a Bush. That's a thing. And so that would get us down to 2645 if some if somebody's can put together 50 bucks we'll get down to 2645 and uh if we can if we can build on that and have a miracle i can uh get some of the october bills paid uh there's what uh let's see um yeah there's about 11 no about 1500 dollars a bill bill of bill that I can think of right off the top of my head that need to be addressed. Lickety Split from Tamara, a note. Hap, ha, happy 21, OMG. I know it's mind-blowing, isn't it, Tamara?
Starting point is 00:07:52 I never dreamed it would last this long. When we started it, I wondered how long it would last at all. But, yeah, we've made it 21 years. And it's more like 23 and a half, 24, if you count the time that I was on terrestrial radio for a time. And the birth of the horn is all wrapped up in that. And it's a good time. We'll get to the heart and soul of the program in fairly short order. but it's a good time to
Starting point is 00:08:39 take note of how this all came to be your humble hostess got bounced off of terrestrial radio for being mean to the coal companies and boss man Wayne who had recently
Starting point is 00:09:02 lost his beloved wife Gina said we're not going to sit still for that and he expressed to me that he wanted to create this radio network as a living memorial to his extremely progressive beloved and that's why that's why Wayne and Gina get mentioned at the end of every program Gina never lived to hear the first episode of the internet only horn Wayne was there for a very long time, only having passed away a couple of years ago. And I miss him dearly. But that's how the program came to be.
Starting point is 00:09:54 And it's kind of weird for me to look back. And like I said yesterday, just as a reminder, if you've got a particular memory that stands out, feel free to pop into the old holler tree this evening. it's real easy. There's a link at the top of the web page, head on dot live, that'll carry you over the river and through the woods to the old holler tree
Starting point is 00:10:23 that we sublet from the keyboard elves and wherein we keep the extraordinary, ordinary roundtable, around which we gather each and every Friday. And share some memories, because I've been doing this for so long that it's almost impossible to pick out individual moments beyond
Starting point is 00:10:46 beyond a few here and there so if you have any particular memories send me a note you can use the portal there at head on dot live we'll just see what
Starting point is 00:11:18 we'll see what's on folks' minds or what do you remember because there is so and in many ways the Camel Cardinal, Brother Deacon Asa, has probably the most encyclopedic memory of this program, and he may come up with something, I'm not sure what, or have something planned for the rerun after this program is over. I don't know. I thought I would, well, as to that password, that password,
Starting point is 00:12:16 Earp. I thought we would do a little bit of a survey, if you will. It's so curious because he's made so many stupid gaffes that it's kind of hard to keep up. But there is something special about this random grunt that he made at a ratch. in what iouija i think it's giving i think it's giving hope to the american people let's start with the basic noise and then we'll do a survey of what other people have done with that basic noise
Starting point is 00:13:22 um in and in conjunction with that uh joy sent along a graphic it said it was of two bottles of champagne one of brute with a tag on it that said for when it happens and then a bottle of rosé champagne with a tag that says for after for after it's happened so just a note out there for anyone who's got champagne chilled you might want to you might want to up your game a little bit it might be a two champagne affair. So we start with this. This is the noise. Okay. And I'd say 90% of the reason I took the governor. I took the governor. I put her over at the United Nations. And I'd say that extended pause, nobody put that there. And this isn't Cofifei and this isn't hamburger. This is his brain misfiring. This is something that, I mean, I heard it and the first thing I thought was,
Starting point is 00:14:37 holy shit. When it happens, it really is going to happen on live TV for the entire world to see. That's not modified. He stands there with his mouth open and just makes that noise. and then the two count and then the the the the two count and then he tries to pick up again so just to make sure we're all on the same page and i'd say 90% of the reason i took the governor yeah i took the governor i put her over and and then you have to the camera pans they like to put young people behind him now and it doesn't always work out but they're The young people are sitting behind him going, he's lost his skivety toilet mind. That one kid just looking at him like a cow looking at a new gate. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Well, stop that. What's that? You heard that bit of the Beatles. The Beatles knew. He's a real nowhere man sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody. doesn't have a point of view, knows not where he's going to, making all his nowhere plans for nobody. He's as blind as he can be, just see what sees what he wants to see, making all his nowhere plans for nobody. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:34 And so that's, that's, that's, that's the start. That's the baseline. All right. I mean, yeah. All right. His hand is still plastered over with weird orange concealer. Yes, Micah. And I don't think that was even a...
Starting point is 00:17:17 That wasn't like he was burping or anything. That was just a random Spirokeet grunt. And in Sioux City, he said more than... And he said, I'm going to have a lot of power when I leave. I don't even understand whether they're having the election, to be honest, with you. And then in Iowija, he goes off on the on the Wewack Ronald Ama Ding Dong ad about Amy Acton's mother,
Starting point is 00:18:00 declares that he has thrown Ilhan Omar out of Congress. I wish I was kidding. But I'm not. And of course, this latest is that they're claiming that she took the oath under a false name. Jesus. It takes a lot of nerve. And our pal Kenda out in Missouri with an observation, Maga says Ilhan Omar isn't using her real name.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Melania Trump was born Melania Noves. Ted Cruz was born Raphael Eduardo Cruz. J.D. Vance was born James Donald Bowman. Nikki Haley was born Nimrata Randawa. Mike Johnson's real first name is James. Rand Paul is Randall Paul. Newt Gingrich is born Newton Leroy McPherson. And that's just a partial list.
Starting point is 00:19:16 There's Joe who isn't really named Joe Wilson in South Carolina Stan. I mean, yeah. Good catch there, Kenda. But, okay, so we've got our baseline there with an erp. Well, whatever could any number of people do with something like that, there's always this via the Tonight Show. 90% of the reason I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the guy.
Starting point is 00:20:17 90% of the reason I looked at his ass. It's like a pile of muscle. I looked at his ass. God bless you all. Thank you. So that's a thing. That was quality. But there's more.
Starting point is 00:20:46 So much more. more there's another one let's see let's try let's try this one again with the dancing a lot of dance tracks chilling up earlier today and and that's another question when it does happen are we all going to do I mean are we going to put on YMCA are we going to do the masturbating two horses at the same time dance that he does or are they camels Yeah, this, not shabby. I like the big band sound and kind of jazzy quality of it. It, it, it, it. But it just goes on and on and on. I don't know that we've ever done a survey like this before, but it is. It's a sign of the nation desperate for something to hope for. This may be the best of the lot. I mean, it's got a great beat. You can dance.
Starting point is 00:22:55 to it. Yeah. We forgot to unmute it this time, Roxanne. Here we go. You know, here's a lieutenant governor. And I'd say 90% of the reason I took the governor. And I took the governor and I took the governor
Starting point is 00:23:22 and I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor and I took the governor and I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor did. I took the governor. I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor did.
Starting point is 00:23:47 90% of the reason I took the governor to governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor did. I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor it. I may be playing that for the rest of the night after the program's over. it's got it's got it's got a reggae thing going on it's got kind of a sea chanty thing going on if you want to find that for yourself the account is called the keefness k-i-f-f-n-E-S-S you'll see it because it's a split screen between a guy holding a pick between his lips and
Starting point is 00:24:49 holding a guitar and then nitwit Niro's clip and took the governor it no singing roxie And we have a $2,745 funding deficit. It's not a luxury we can afford. The singing. No. But there's more to the clip than meets the eye or ear. What, Micah? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Is there taking the hobbits to Eisengard? It's they're taking the hobbits to Eisengard again. Oh, God. Yeah. Yeah. And then one more, I think, I think that's all we've got, one more. One group noting that wasn't a deliberate sound effect. It wasn't a burp.
Starting point is 00:26:16 What he said was, what he said after was his attempt to cover it up and distract from what just happened. What do you think? Let's try this again. Oh, and by the way, I just had an internet from the Camel Cardinal who said, How about we play the first show after you go off there? Oh, really? October 24th, 2005? Yeah, it sounds great to me.
Starting point is 00:26:58 So, yeah, good times. God, I wish we could find the episode where Scott and San Diego destroyed me for the first time with the monkey with the visor and the arm garters and a pencil working a math problem. them. That may be the greatest, the greatest meltdown, the on-air meltdown I've ever had. I don't know how long I laughed. I couldn't breathe. Terris asking, how do you spell that? I haven't laughed in a long time. Thanks. You're welcome. But I wanted, yeah, I want this, if I was inside the White House, if I was part of the brain trust, I'd be worried. And poor Jimmy Dick Bowman, or Jimmy Don Bowman,
Starting point is 00:28:00 running around going, there's my turn yet. Okay, one more. If you don't want communists controlling the U.S. Senate, which is between Jay. How about the gentleman from a place called Michigan, he's in there, jihadist? He's a jihadist. If you don't want communists controlling the U.S. Senate, which is between J. How about the gentleman from a place called Michigan, he's in there, jihadist.
Starting point is 00:28:38 He said, jihadist. Yeah, did you, okay, that, that clip. That clip. What he says after is a distraction. again he's in Sioux city Iowa and what about the gentleman in mid did you notice that again we've been talking recently about the Fred Trump sneaking through on him like with his use of Shylock that was a that was a very Fred Trump's era kind of thing to say and I think it just about the filter the filter is just about completely shot.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Do you remember when, and it was a long time ago, so if you don't, that's okay. But I know people, I know juvenile delinquent number two, Jeremy and Vermont remembers, because he made a reference to it. Do you remember Rick Sanctum Santorum, Brofromix? He was speaking somewhere, was it Minneapolis, Michigan, Wisconsin, back when he thought, he was presidential timber. What was that? 2008, maybe, or 12.
Starting point is 00:30:17 But somewhere along the way, speaking, he said that our welfare resources were all being consumed by all the bloc, and then he stopped all the people. And when people said, you were about to say black people, weren't you? And because he was a hopeless little dweeb, Brofromic said, no, I was saying blah people. Well, again, in Sioux City, Iowa, which, you know, has no, no electoral power over the senatorial election in Michigan, he's talking about Mohammed, I mean, Abdul El-Said. and it's just it's not even a full syllable
Starting point is 00:31:19 it's more like a phoneme maybe but just listen very very carefully it comes after the word it's the phrase that comes after the word Michigan
Starting point is 00:31:34 gentleman from a place called Michigan is in a jihadist is a jihadist did you hear it did you hear it A place called Michigan, he's a nit, a jihadist. The, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, just about the fred Trump, just about got loose.
Starting point is 00:32:03 One more time. A place called Michigan, he's in there. Jihadist. He's a jihadist. He says it twice. The place got, Michigan, he's a, he's a, he's a jihadist. He's a jihadist. He's getting to the point.
Starting point is 00:32:25 where he cannot control his own mouth anymore. And I'd say the odds are pretty good. We're going to see whatever happens happen live on TV. But you better have your TiVos or whatever set to record because it'll be suppressed really quickly. There won't be any gunfire. There won't be any... The crowd will be quiet, and he'll just, eh, and then that, you'll be, believe, well, that's all, folks.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And Jeremy and Vermont, yeah, the brofro, yes, the brofro man on dog sex because of the homosexuals and blah people. Yeah. Rick, man on dog Santora. So you do remember that. Well, this, this is one to add to that list, Jeremy. in Michigan. He's a nihis. I mean, that's not a noise. That's not a, that's not a letter sound for terrorist, jihadist. He's a net. He's a net. All he wants to say, it's a, and of course, if you recall, um,
Starting point is 00:34:05 Noel Casler, who worked with him on The Apprentice said, there's a ton of outtakes in a hidden away somewhere of him throwing around the N-word um like like like confetti Michigan he's a nit he's a jihadist he's a jihadist until he got the crowd to start booing and hissing behind him but he was there he was all so he was so close I mean that's not He's an Egyptian. That's not he's Islamic. That's not he's a Muslim. Isn't it?
Starting point is 00:35:00 The day is not that far away. So I just, I thought that was worth mentioning. And because I have seen clip after clip after clip today of it. yeah oh good deal ralb says i sent the kefness trump burp song to family members yeah oh and thank you thank you very kindly to uh terrace terris just jumped in on the uh the challenge current the horn birthday challenge courtesy of ralps that so we've got forty dollars to go on that thank you so much terris uh sending the message Is that going to become the new greeting here? Please, no, let's don't.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Hey, welcome to the program. I wouldn't put it past some of you. It's kind of a satisfying little noise to make, isn't it? Jeremy says DVRs. Hopefully it's caught on people's private recording devices and not network trash like Xfinity provides or such. They have the ability to wipe any content you record at will. Ooh, that's a lovely idea.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Micah, can you manage part of that? Micah says you need to put it on your soundboard, you know, right there, right there next to can you clip that out, Micah? Can somebody just send it to me and I'll put it in there. And then we'll get it on the, yeah. And that's what the governor. That's close, though, isn't it? Settle down, Roxanne.
Starting point is 00:37:46 We're having way too much fun with this. Says Micah, I can. It can be done. So let it be written. So let it be done. Odds. This is for Matt in San Francisco. I wonder what the odds on the betting website.
Starting point is 00:38:04 are about what day the N-word is going to be uttered while he's at the podium. Look, they'll bet on two birds on a wire over at Kalshi or, or, what, Polly Market? I wonder if the nerds who named Polly Market know what Polly means in common parlance these days. Never mind. But, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I've got a button down on January the 21st, 2027. But that's not necessarily the day that he says the... Michigan, he's a G-I-I-Dist.
Starting point is 00:39:01 But of course, if that great day comes and he still hasn't openly set it into a live mic, then I guess everybody would lose their money. Trump noise, Lee says, It may be the new game show, wrong answer noise. Ooh, sorry. Micah says, I said that. Loll. Stuck in my head.
Starting point is 00:39:54 I'm earwormed with it. Just no way around it. And some fun little, we'll just be a little lighthearted this evening. I love this. This is a new James Tala Rico ad. and some of these firms doing these ads really do have people like Ken Paxton dialed right in. And that's what I was channeling at the time. George and Corsegold says Andy Griffith, no time for sergeants.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Hello? Sput, spit, spit. Well, we'll find out after the program because Brother Deacon Asa is going to run that. Lord only knows. But yes, I mean, of course there's video to go with this. but the audio is plenty, the James Talleyco ad. This election, remember that Ken Paxton is the only candidate who truly knows Texas. And the Caribbean.
Starting point is 00:41:31 And India, Taiwan, South Africa, Iceland, Dubai for New Year's Eve, with fugitives of the U.S., five different ski towns in the Rockies, and Idaho Resort, Georgia to Watch the Masters, Oklahoma, wineries, that's plural, in Napa Valley, China, New Jersey, two stops at Disney World, Italy, Albania, Greece, Malta, London on America's 250th birthday, yes, we can see you. He took nearly 1,000 trips while serving his Attorney General, costing taxpayers $3.3 million. And if you elect him to the Senate, he'll do what he does best. Take a flight out of Texas. Oh, for James Taurico, he's taken a normal number of trips and paid for them himself. This election...
Starting point is 00:42:12 Ouch. And I like the voiceover. there's kind of a John Fissenda quality to it. There's selection. Mm-hmm. But that's not the only, that's not the onlyest one, no. Let's try this one on for size. And they've always got that same picture of Ken Paxton
Starting point is 00:42:47 with that dopey half a grin on his face. And those, that lazy eye. Today on house hunters, Ken Paxton is looking for a home. Will he choose this $1.5 million, McKinney, Texas abode conveniently located near the courthouse where he was indicted for fraud? Yes. Oh, okay, that was easy. I guess he doesn't want this three-story 12-bed luxury lodge in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Oh, you want both? All right. There's also this million-dollar Ocean View property in Hawaii. Absolutely. All right. And how about one luxury condominium at a high-end wellness resort in Utah? Poor. Four luxury condominiums it is.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Ken Paxton owns 15 properties valued at approximately $9 million, even though he makes just $153,000 annually as Attorney General. So how does he have the money to be building a real estate empire? A lot of big corporate interest. Hope for James Tolerico. He has one house. Today on house hunters, Ken Paxton is looking for a home. Well, he...
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yeah. Maybe he... Maybe he survives this? I don't know. But the other sign is that, well, there's a lot of ad money in the Tala Rico bank. Even though Leon Scum is pouring all he can into the Texas race, the thing is, Leon Scum, Space Nazi, is a dumbass. And consequently, he's dumping money into anti-trans ads that nobody gets. gives a shit about. Oh, thank you, Rob. Rob just jumped in on Ralph's challenge. That gets us to
Starting point is 00:44:55 only $20 to go on that. Rob adds, Roxanne, I nearly forgot to wish the horn a happy anniversary. Happy anniversary, and here's to Ralph's challenge. Thanks, Ralph's. Long live the horn. Yes, bea the horn. Thank you, Rob. Thank you so much. So there's only $20 to go on the horn birthday challenge courtesy of Ralps. We knocked that out. That would be fantastic and it would get us down to what did I say?
Starting point is 00:45:26 2645. Yeah, 2645. That's a large deal and it's a great step toward maybe a horn family community congregation community made miracle. A little more James Talleyco advertising.
Starting point is 00:45:45 By the way, this is not paid product placement. God no. No. Paxton scandal will surface next. The download Scandal. The only betting app where you can parlay Ken Paxton offering a plea deal to a pedophile with Ken Paxton voting to protect puppy abusers and get paid because he did both of those things. Bet the over under on how much money Ken is made from the cell phone tower he controls on the grounds of a hospital where he served on the board of directors.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Here's a tip. Always bet that he did the thing. Even if it's as outlandish as evading a process server's attempt to deliver a subpoena to his front door by fleeing his home and a getaway car driven by his wife. Too fast, too scandalous. So download Scandul today and multiply your net worth by 7,000 percent, like Ken did while in public office. Scambling problem, while Ken Paxton is looking for like-minded people to work with on his next scandal. I'm a bit of an aficionado, aficionada of voiceover. voice actors.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Is the person in the background of that ad who's going, Scandal! Is he one of the voice actors in idiocracy? Victoria, come here. It's okay. You've got to use the cans. You've got to use the headphones.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Not rocket surgery. Well, okay. Well, hold on. We're going to back this up. Okay, give it a listen. Victoria's got an ear for this kind of thing, too. Ready? Looking to bet on which shameful Ken Paxton scandal will surface next?
Starting point is 00:47:51 The download scandal. The only betting app where you can parlay Ken Paxton offering a plea deal to a pedophile with Ken Paxton voting to protect puppy abusers. And get paid because he did both of those things. Bet the over under on how much money Ken is made from the cell phone tower he controls on the grounds of a hospital where he served on the board of directors. Here's a tip. Always bet that he did the thing.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Even if it's as outlandish as evading a process server's attempt to deliver a subpoena to his front door by fleeing his home and a getaway car driven by his wife. Too fast to scandal. So download Scandul today and multiply your net worth by 7,000 percent, like Ken did while in public office. Scandling problem, Paul Ken Paxton. He's looking for like-minded people to work with on his next scandal. Big ass prize. Yeah, exactly. See, I knew you.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Extra big-ass fries. I think that's that guy. He sounds an awful lot like him. Yeah, it's Texas. Mike Judge. Extra big-ass fry. That's genius. And always meant that he did the thing.
Starting point is 00:49:09 And then I ran across, I ran across this one just sort of randomly. Okay, this is Nicole Eklund Severson. This is the Earp again. I think every one of these videos is a little prayer. This one's titled Donald Kermit Trump. I'd say 90% of the reason I took the governor. What?
Starting point is 00:50:04 All right. Here we go. I'd say 90% of the fraudulent. Never in the history of the horn. I mean, I didn't know what would make this birthday broadcast so special, but I guess we have nitwit Nero, I think. I ran across this one, and I'm sorry, it was just a good giggle. I'm not sorry. This is titled MAGA Falling for MAGA scare tactics.
Starting point is 00:51:39 And Nicole Whitted, W-H-I-T-E-D, absolutely nailed it. Starting to affect me now. My electric bill's so high. I don't know how I'm going to afford this. Oh no, that's so sad. But have you heard about trans people? Like, existing? Oh my God, you're right. I'll just pay this bill with my transphobia. Probably won't work. But I'd rather be without electricity than not be able to blame a trans person for taking my daughter's spot on the college soccer team. My daughter, who doesn't even play soccer.
Starting point is 00:52:31 Oh, my God, I'm out of gas. I've maxed out all the credit cards. I can't afford this. Oh, yikes. Yeah, but have you heard about Sharia law? Oh, God, that's scary. Thank you for distracting me with that. That really helps because I don't think I can pay for gas with my Islamophobia. I was just going to go get groceries, but I don't really need them.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Can't really afford those either. Okay, thank you. More bad news. Looks like I'm being sent to collections for my medical debt. Actually, it's my kids' medical debt. Maybe there is a problem with our healthcare system. Oh no, that's awful. But have you heard about socialists?
Starting point is 00:53:28 They want to give you free health care. Over my dead body, socialist. Maybe quite literally, over my dead body. Yeah, that was a good distraction, because I'm so scared of the word socialism that I'd rather. file for bankruptcy or just just die yeah that should that should help with this i i think things are starting nailed it taking the spot on my college daughter's college soccer team my daughter doesn't
Starting point is 00:54:05 even have doesn't even play soccer they're they're they're so easily parodyable uh ken paxton lee in new york says he'll do fine remember the whitnero said he's ugly and poorly with support like that yeah and that's it yeah I don't have that immediately to hand but George and Corskell says the Tala Rico ad Texas was built by hope inspiring about three minutes I think I've seen that one just don't have it handy and then because I don't want anybody think that we're playing favorites here no no because there's There's still a governor's race going on in Ohio.
Starting point is 00:55:17 And this is a dandy, too. It's labeled Wewick Ramoswami's dad speaks out in brutal new ad. My name's David Litt, and I'm Vivek Ramoswami's father. Don't ask too many questions. I love my son, but he has a problem. He's a dickhead. The first time you saw my baby boy speak on television, you probably thought to yourself,
Starting point is 00:55:42 oh, that guy sucks. And you were right. He does suck. I should know because I'm his dad. My son needs help. But while he's still running for governor, he can't get the complete personality transplant he so desperately needs.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I'm stuck with Vivek because I'm his biological father. But don't make the same mistake I did. My name's David. Beautiful, beautiful satire. He can't. get the complete personality transplant that he needs as long as he's, if he's governor. So we've got all that going for us. And what's this?
Starting point is 00:56:47 Matt sent along some kind of a clip. It's the beginning of Porky Pig Stutter. Ooh, I can't wait. Porky Pig, 1935. May, me, me, there. 30. Stop it! Right, let's see what the kid can do.
Starting point is 00:57:28 May I go home now? Without my prizes? Shut up, but don't be such a spoiled. Can I have your auto... Your John Hancock, please? You can't fly. You can't swim. Are you even a...
Starting point is 00:57:44 Do you duck at all? Hey, give me those. You asked for it. A wooie, a movie, a movie, I'm a, right, a, right, what up? It's Parking K, they call me P double. Now I'm terribly, terribly curious. We all heard the clip.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Let me see if I can try this. Carl's Jr., of course. Might be the same voice, the extra big ass fries. Would you like to try our extra big ass taco? Now with more. All right you. Yeah, that's the same voice. Extra big ass tacos.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Oh, okay, here it is. I swear I think they got that voiceover guy, assuming you know this is 20 20 so this was 22 years ago my guy might still be around enjoy your extra big ass fries you didn't give me no fries i got an empty box would you like another extra big ass fries i said i didn't get any thank you your account has been charged your balance is zero please come back when you can afford to make a purchase i'm sorry you're having trouble Extra big ass fries. Well, there's an internet mystery, if ever there was one.
Starting point is 01:00:44 Is one of the idiocracy voice actors actually doing James Talleyco ads? Yeah. Oh, and there's the ad that George referenced. You know, sometimes we get to be a little bit vapid and vacuous around here. You can't do that on your birthday. When the hell can you? Texas was built by hope by people who had no business believing but believed anyway by farmers, immigrants, Friedman, the people who planted seeds in merciless soil, who looked out across this land and saw everything. But somewhere along the way, the rules started to change.
Starting point is 01:02:19 The people at the top started taking more and more. And working Texans got by with less and less. This state is full of people holding things together with their bare hands. The early shift, the late shift, the classroom, the family business, the house they're still trying to keep. All the people at the top keep rigging the system against us. But when Texans come together, across the fence, across the pew, across everything they use to divide us,
Starting point is 01:03:26 we become the thing they can't control, can't break, can't stop. Texans don't surrender easily. Hope built this place. And hope still lives here. In every town, every valley, every stretch of highway. To every Texan who's ever wondered if anyone in power is paying attention, we are taking our state back.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Not with anger, not with fear, not with death. not with division but with the hope that built this state because a little bit of hope is a dangerous thing thanks sprouts that's that's one to give you chills
Starting point is 01:04:34 and he has somehow put together the necessary money to bring the absolute best that political advertising has to bear you know well wewack ramelama ding-dong's gang up in ohia well they're they're there they're they're they're it's been it's been slime and sleaze you know uh what's her name uh the the woman who claimed that sherid brown
Starting point is 01:05:11 uh performed surgery god i can't even ugh yeah to weweck ramelama ding dong and amy act and amy act and disgusting mother choosing a pedophile over her own daughter. Yeah. A lovely note from Mike in Cascadia. Thank you for this, Mike. Mike said, Hi, Rocks. I used to listen to Mike Malloy and he was still on the AM radio in Seattle, KPTK-1090, until about 2013 when it became sports radio.
Starting point is 01:05:49 I heard you subbing for Mike around then and I started listening to you. I always loved your calls with Jim from South Carolina. The Angry Indian was great also, and I was sad when he disappeared in the Great Purity Wars of 2016. I also remember Roger from his California days and, of course, Billville Rick. I vividly remember what I was doing on two of the funniest horn sequences ever. In 2019, I was in Madrid and out for a morning jog. I had the previous day's show playing in an earbud as I jogged, and it was the It's Not About the Cat Show with Steve from Georgetown. And yeah, I literally had to stop several times as it was impossible to jog and laugh at the same time.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Then a few years later, I was on my bicycle when Scott delivered the monkey doing the math problem classic. Your laughing was as hysterical as Scott's verbal picture. We all miss Scott every day. I saved some of your words from November 9th, 2016. You had Carol Baker on the line and you said this. yesterday at the White House President Obama gracious as ever congratulated Trump Mr. Obama closed with we're all on the same team well sorry Mr. President but count me out
Starting point is 01:07:04 I refuse to be on that team I won't hold hands and sing kumbaya with skinheads white nationalists neo-Nazis bigots xenophobes I am not and will never be on the same team as the fucking clan and Trump did this from questioning the citizenship of President Obama for years to painting Latinos as rapists, criminals, and bad hombres, to creating fear and demonization of Muslims. Trump has normalized bigotry and hatred and racism in this country. I won't be complicit, and it won't be in my name. Mike says, I've never forgotten those profound words. They were profound then and continue to be profound today,
Starting point is 01:07:43 and so right. I look forward to many more years. Thanks, Rocks, signed. Mike. Oh, thank you, Mike. Thank you so much. I'd forgotten about that little diatribe, but you know what? It was true then, and it's still true. If you've got a shred of integrity, even a scintillioris of morals, the tiniest drop of human decency, how can you play footsie with this gang of thugs? And remember, they've only gotten worse. As bad as his first term in office was, beginning with the racism and the xenophobia and everything else that went with it, as bad as letting a million people die of COVID, as bad as all that was, because of the four-year interregnum of President Joe Biden trying to patch. the holes in the leak in the ship of state that had been punched from the inside out by the maggots he came back even meaner more vicious more hateful crazier and arguably in a much more dangerous state of no mind than he was before and remember we were talking about the 25th amendment
Starting point is 01:09:25 and his mental decline back in the first nightmare, nightmare term. It's only become more profound now to the point that here on the 21st birthday of this little radio network that has struggled to survive and somehow managed to for all these years, golly Moses. I spent the better part of an hour on him perhaps having a little strong. stroke moment on stage. And remember from yesterday's program, he was growling at a reporter. He's making these unintelligible noises on a more frequent basis.
Starting point is 01:10:20 I realize this is some wishcraft, but we've joked about the champagne, and I've talked about the red dress with the red fish net tights and matching red pumps and dancing in the middle of the street. But seriously, and I think this is a good topic for conversation in the old holler tree. And for y'all to email on, too, if you wish, what are you going to feel? What are you going to do when that great day finally arrives. Let's go ahead and pop over into Ye oldy hollow tree
Starting point is 01:11:26 where Jeremy and Roger are and see if hopefully some come on by. You know, we got virtual cake and virtual ice cream, virtual hot dogs, virtual balloons for the kids. There's a lot going on down here. but let's check in with Jeremy.
Starting point is 01:11:50 Hey Jeremy, how are you? Oh, come on. Hold on, hold on, Jeremy. Hold on, hold on. It's being persnickety. No, it's not. I'm being persnickety. PEPTAC.
Starting point is 01:12:21 There, there you are, Jeremy. You sure you're going to make it 21 years. You're going to end it here tonight. I mean, you're being persnickety, record button occasionally. you're starting. So let's start for the butterfly net, Robin. I tell you, you're losing it.
Starting point is 01:12:38 I'm right there with you, so don't feel bad. Trust me, I'm there a few steps from a butterfly knife, so we're good. Don't, our butterfly, Jesus. Butterfly net. Yeah, butterfly net. Freud didn't slip. But what I was trying to say to you before you
Starting point is 01:12:51 passed me through was I tried to raise Breivov for whatever it's worth. Sent him a link, because I don't know if he's a member of the group, but we'll see if he comes through. And I also post something over there, because I know there's a a few people from the blue dots who have listened occasionally. So we'll see. I tried.
Starting point is 01:13:09 Other than that, I'm trying to think. If you're keeping track with the service member who asshole got killed this last weekend at the football game when he was repelling and fell to his death. How did I miss that? One of the NFL games, I believe it was Saturday, Ranger, was doing a, stunt repelling from the rafters and he fell from his rope and died on contact on live TV. Jesus. I get,
Starting point is 01:13:44 I put them up to do it. I guess that's what I get for not following the No Fun League, but, um. It'll follow, but I saw the highlights of it. I mean, I mean, well, that really happened. But like I was saying, if you're keeping track, that's two this year. Not that I've been killed, the last one I believe was in one of the, uh, the soccer matches here in the States, one of the big World Cup matches, a seal. a diving seal, hit the fucking scoreboard above the stadium, and fell and was seriously hurt.
Starting point is 01:14:12 Not killed, but, I mean, it would take months recuperation, they said. He was seriously hurt. And all this, because we have to militarize something as banal as a sporting event. Right, all this to show how manly and tough our military is. And rah-rah, you want to do this? You want to jump into stadiums? That's fighting the real enemy. There might be blah people down there.
Starting point is 01:14:36 so yeah so there's that i'm trying to think of anything else um so much so much i still believe next weekend will be a next uh next tuesday will be a feel good night for us i believe it will be big numbers but it's there until january i'm worried about that's when the real freak out start i mean he we don't know what he's capable well we know what he's capable of doing we just know how far he's going to push it and And I hope it doesn't come down to violence, but I also hope that if it does, America doesn't sit down and cower. And just to give some specificity to it, what we're talking about is January the 3rd when Congress convenes. Well, that too, but I'm also talking about polling day.
Starting point is 01:15:27 People that choose to go in person in some of these major cities where Trump is going to send his goons. If they start beating on people, I hope people can fend these people. Don't just let them take it. Do something. Well, there's more stuff coming out of, and it's not just Tennessee anymore. I saw that earlier today. But people are saying they're seeing some funny business going on with video game voting. So, you know, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Leon Scum. What was his language they used in that message to Ashley St. Clair? unleashed the something in the matrix remember that yeah i i recall this story often with you and you may or may not remember it but i think it was during a bomb administration
Starting point is 01:16:22 it was a who was it was it was either brinks or a wells fargo had come out with their voting machines and their text words oh they're perfect they're impregnable you can't do anything with them well they loaned them to mit for the weekend hook them to the internet and by Monday morning all three machines were playing a version of Pac-Man. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:16:50 I mean, at this point you can cheat on almost every video game system imaginable. There's a way to do it if you want to do it. So there's no reason you cannot cheat a voting machine too. I mean, there's insidious program there which insert lines into the code while you're playing the game the cheating detectors cannot
Starting point is 01:17:10 detect in some cases. I'm sure you can do it in these machines too. And yes, Dolly Parton's sister, younger sister, said you know she had hit it three times and i've heard many many people saying not just her no and it's coming out i think of georgia and maybe florida too now i can't find the story i thought i had i thought i had saved it but i guess not it's it's i don't think it's as bad as when it was with uh uh flobby the other night there's there's slight feedback it's not all the time but i am hearing myself occasionally i hope people can bear through it's not bad bad but it's there's nothing, there's nothing to hear on this end.
Starting point is 01:17:46 There's nothing that's going out over the air. So it could be my blue to it. So I'm just saying case someone's here, don't freak out, it's manageable. Yeah. I watched a video on the tapping the machine, and I think what they've done is on the Republican. They've created a huge field that taps for the Republican and a very small field that taps for the Democrat. If you're not directly in that little box for the Democratic candidate, but you're anywhere else on the page and tap it,
Starting point is 01:18:22 it responds to the Republican vote. I think it's worth mentioning. Micah's made a very rare appearance on the front porch. Welcome her. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. There's Micah. Hey, sis.
Starting point is 01:18:42 How are you? As far as... Oh, I'm doing good. I had to get up at stupidly early this morning, and I ended up falling asleep, so my bad. So you told me here a minute ago, it was Texas San Antonio versus Navy. Yeah, it was the football game. It was a college game where the service member died repelling from the demonstration or something.
Starting point is 01:19:10 It was an Air Force serviceman, and I had his name up in front of me here two seconds ago, and of course, you know, I'm put on the spot about it now so I can't find it because, of course. But yeah, it was at the Alamadone. And going back to what Roger was saying, I don't know, I have my thoughts about this whole voting machine situation. I raised a few of them with you yesterday as we were talking after the program. And, you know, I work in IT. I can think of 150 ways that I could sit there and make that machine sit there and say, Democrat, and actually tally a vote for a Republican, just off the top of my head.
Starting point is 01:20:01 I think that if that is going on, and it's not simple PEPCAC issues, and after dealing with various elderly people trying to operate computers in the last couple of days, I can't discount that, unfortunately. I think that if that is really occurring, I think the outcome is less about trying to manipulate the actual results of the election and more trying to just go distrust in it in general. Because there's no reason to make it that obvious. And that's if the machines have been compromised. Right. Well, that would be, yeah, if you so distrust in the system, then that's been the, look,
Starting point is 01:20:49 I don't know, maybe our memories are short. But in October of 2016, he was running around saying, and I trust we remember this. But if Hillary wins, it means it was rigged. And everybody buzzed around him like bees around a flower saying, well, if you lose, will you concede like a decent human being? if I lose, it was rigged. Yeah. Okay, that new rule.
Starting point is 01:21:33 Everybody has to end every sentence with and by the way, I asked that question, you know, what will you do when the news finally does come out? Victoria is sitting here and said when it comes, when it happens, I'll drive to the nearest bar. Everyone in America will party. The good people will party because we hated him. Some people will follow the good people
Starting point is 01:21:55 and some bad people will still party to celebrate his life, but everyone will be participating. Ooh, that could make for a challenging time at the ball. I'd like to tell you it'd be exciting, but honestly, I think it's going to kind of be like voting ones this year for me, anti-climatic. It wasn't the excitement I thought, I was glad to get it done, but when Trump dead, his damage is still here. The Nazis are still fucking here. and just because he's dead and because like I keep fucking saying
Starting point is 01:22:26 if we look him so please sir go away be nice to us we'll be nice to you it doesn't fucking work we need to crush them ameliorate them destroy them put them in jail maybe put a couple at the fucking pike it's not going to end nicely
Starting point is 01:22:41 but you do know you do know of course as I've said before the third way centrist middle of the road wishy-washy mugwump contingent. You know, we need to just go on with the business of governing. We can't waste our time on anything like impeachment.
Starting point is 01:22:59 We can't be trying these people. Nobody's going to try anybody, but Congress can investigate. And Congress better, by God, investigate. In some ways, we're going to have to figure away to push those fuckers aside and silence them. Because they're part of the reason we're in this fucking situation twice. The wishy-washy motherfuckers who are selfish enough to say, I don't like her enough because, because, because to two fucking women. That's why we're here.
Starting point is 01:23:26 She had a ton of laugh. I didn't like her pantsuits. I think that's less the issue and more of the problem that, you know, yeah, the third way Democrats are a problem, but I think the bigger problem are the geriatric Democrats that are in our leadership and the one who is not geriatric, but is still in the leadership, and don't want to actually do anything. We need a Democratic Party that's willing to wield power the way Republicans do. Because I mean, say what you want. Yeah, the Democrats, they win power and all of a sudden it's let's reach out across to our friends across the aisle.
Starting point is 01:24:02 The Republicans win power and it's let's put our boot on the neck of our enemies. And until the Democrats are willing to do that all the way down from top leadership, we're never getting out of this situation. Frankly, for myself, when that great getting up glorious day comes, I'm going to be worried because Trump is a known factor. He's an idiot. He doesn't understand and by this point probably lacks the ability to plan and execute and effectively wield the power that he has amassed for himself.
Starting point is 01:24:38 I'm more concerned about some charismatic populist asshole sitting out there right now who is intelligent and keeping notes. And that's, you know, that's why. what I've said all along, to a certain extent, as horrid as this has all been and continues to be, it's still a bunch of clowns trying to run the whole circus. You know, there's a certain element or a certain aspect of play stupid games, win stupid prizes with these people. But there may be somebody, there probably is someone out there. We may not, and it'll be a he, it'll be a he,
Starting point is 01:25:18 may not even be on the radar. But yeah, he knows how to, that person knows how to wield this power brutally. And I'm not talking about Lil Marco or the JD Egg or Whiskey Pete. I mean, that, that, that, that fucker has made separate trips to, I think, both New Hampshire and Iowa, Whiskey Pete? What? So yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:25:59 Do you think that person could be MTG? I know everyone thinks she's stupid. She plays stupid to her crowd for a reason. She's not as stupid as she plays. The other person I wonder about sometimes is Tucker Carlson. He plays stupid to suck of these fuckers in too, but he's a lot smarter than fucking Trump is no matter how you stack it. Yeah, but I don't think I don't think Tucker Carlson would want to take the step. down that leaving his perch would be as fun and let's understand something democrat or republican i want to be
Starting point is 01:26:34 completely clear wanting to be the president of the united states is a character flaw in in most circumstances it is there has to be something wrong with you to want desperately to be president of the united states and history sort of bears that out I agree. I think most presidents to some degree have some version of sociopathian in them. Some can control it better, but there has to be some compulsive want to control people in you and have all absolute undying power. There has to be. Yeah. I mean, it's, I think it's pretty self-evident. And that goes for Obama and Clinton, too.
Starting point is 01:27:24 You know, yes, they're different than Trump, but in some ways maybe not. In the brain level, I mean, in terms of what they wanted, that absolute power. But again, you know, the Democrats have to be willing to not be centerist Democrats, which I kind of struggle with thinking they have the ability to do that right now. But if they get power and then spend the next two years not really doing anything, assuming that things are still bad enough that we're willing to switch over to having a Democrat again in, what is it, 2028? if they just want to keep maintaining the status quo, we're in some trouble. And that's the thing that worries me about the Democratic Party is I just do not see them willing to take on the corporate donors who are funding them who want the status quo.
Starting point is 01:28:20 And I think they're really interested in being able to criticize power. I wonder how much they actually want to be in power. And these are the thoughts that tend to keep me up at night in terms of the future of the country as a whole. Well, Tamara just sent a note saying, here, here, Michael, we've got old serpent head refusing to go away as he promised. Yeah. We've got a lot of people. Well, there, you know, centrism is to make reference to the late great prophet Bill Hicks, peace be upon him. It's good dollar centrism.
Starting point is 01:28:58 You get those, you get those sweet, sweet defense contractor. you'll probably get a shit ton of A-PAC money. And just, well, as an aside to all of that, I mentioned earlier that Nittwit Niro declared that Ilhan Omar's seat has been vacated. It has not. He does not have that power. Only Congress has it. But that miserable shithead maggot, that toxic POS, Randy Fine out of Florida,
Starting point is 01:29:35 said he's introducing an expulsion resolution on Representative Omar if a federal investigation finds she broke the law. Well, they're going to find whatever it is they've predetermined that they're going to find. Did you possibly catch what Serpenthead said this week? I ran the clip yesterday. the one about he'd rather Republicans take it by five than the Dems take it by five? No, no. I didn't know. I didn't see that.
Starting point is 01:30:13 He said he'd rather see the Republicans win the House by five than the Democrats take it by five. Because if not, you'll be holding the socialist. That was the exact quote. Yeah, he's a shithead. He says something funny, which you can laugh at that, but yes, he's a shithead. But the business about, I mean, Frau Engram asked him what the Democrats should do if they win, and he said, well, we need to raise, we need to raise the federal minimum wage to $13.50. How vary 2012 of him?
Starting point is 01:30:59 And then we need to pass a congressional code of ethics. That's his one-two punch for a new Democratic Congress? I mean, yeah, impeachment is probably going to be useless. unless something truly miraculous happens. And we get, well, we actually need 68 votes in the Senate because you've got to have someone to counterbalance Kirsten Mansion there out of Pennsylvania. $13 an hour, he says.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Most of my local fast food places start between 18 and 20, depending on the shift. Right. That's a McDonald's or Burger Tee. Yeah. The local sheets franchises here have signs on the door that says start at $17 an hour. Managers make an extra dollar an hour if they work the midnight shift. I mean, yeah, Old Serpent heads a little bit behind the times.
Starting point is 01:32:14 But hopefully, you know, there's a chance. I don't know how good a chance, but there's a chance that Randy Fine doesn't make it out of his election. but it's flora da so that's a pretty that's a pretty narrow thing to say the very least oh and i see christopher popped in hey christopher hi everybody how are you happy friday yeah i'm working on preparing some chili verde for our camping trip this week this weekend oh you're making chili verde yes i'm roasting all the chili now when the onions and the garlic and the tomatios that's well great horn mines think alike i was considering i'd ask victoria if she'd ever had uh chili verde compuerco and she said no and i was
Starting point is 01:33:15 thinking about doing that this weekend so cross country the horn hive mine strikes again yes that's great got the park shoulder ready to go i coated it in flour do you do that Uh, no, no, I don't. Oh, okay. Ordinarily, I would, uh, just smoke it. But for up here, I'll probably oven roasted. Oh, but I wanted to, uh, you, every now and then I see things in all the unpaid product placement. And it just gets me.
Starting point is 01:33:52 I saw little cubes of frozen concentrated garlic, Christopher. Ooh. They're about the size of. of a dye. And I think it equals like a couple of teaspoons of granulated garlic or fresh. I don't know. But you could just put, you know, put it in the pan and let it dissolve. And that, that might, might give a little boost to your salsa there.
Starting point is 01:34:22 Hey. Yeah. Good idea. No Aldi here. Oh. Of course your outlet. Oh. No.
Starting point is 01:34:30 and probably no T.Js either. Trader Joe's we have. You might look at TJs. I mean, they're entirely separate companies, but they have similar philosophies. Cool. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:34:45 I like Predator Joe's stuff. Yeah, I wish we had one, but Aldi will do in the pinch. Sorry. No, you're fine. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:34:52 I said, no, I wish we had a TJ's, but Aldi is nice when I'm up here because it's just down the hill. It's not like I've got to drive. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:35:01 I shopped at Aldi, a lot in Chicago when I lived in Chicago. Yeah, well, they're headquartered some. Aldi's headquartered in, what, Batavia, Illinois? Yeah, that sounds right. Or at least North American, right? It's German. It's a German company, right?
Starting point is 01:35:18 Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord. There's two German companies. Aldi South and Aldi North, and they're run by a couple of brothers. But they're entirely separate and distinct from one another. It's just the way I think, but I'd be. Terrified having a name of Aldi North. Yeah, exactly. You push your way business, honestly, if you really think about this,
Starting point is 01:35:43 it sounds like a bad combination. Extradite your ass back to Central America. Yes, Chris gets the reference. For hanging. Someone got it. Yes, yes. I got it. But Mike is on with us.
Starting point is 01:36:01 Oh, yeah. Yeah, she was talking before you, before you popped in. And that reminds me. The Spirake's got it on hyperdrive, don't they? Yeah. I love it. I love that.
Starting point is 01:36:19 That's got to be, I'm going to make that my phone when people call it. Well, Micah is, Mike is clipping it out so that I can add it to my soundboard here. Well, hope Aisa got his homework assignment done and flipped out the Mike Dick, A whip your ass. Oh, whip your ass. Oh, whip your ass. I'll whip your ass back. They'd go together pretty well.
Starting point is 01:36:48 If Budweiser marketing department had any stones, they'd do a refresh of the Budwai, you know, the Bud Weiser, actually, Bud. Wiseer. That would be great. Yes, Micah, yes. The toads or the frogs or whatever they were. Yeah. Like that.
Starting point is 01:37:10 It's a glorious day here. It's getting cooler, especially in the mornings. much cooler here in Portland, but, uh, and the rain has not struck yet. And I think it's, we're worried going into this weekend about having to deal with rain, but it looks like it's going to stay away. Oh, good. And I don't know, were you listening at the beginning of the program, Christopher? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:37 Yes, I was. Okay. So you heard, uh, you, you, you heard the definitive earth song. Yes, I love that. Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize. Were you chair dancing? I was.
Starting point is 01:37:52 I was up. I was chair dancing. Yeah. It's too cold for naked chair dancing now. Way too cold. Yeah. No, that's not happening.
Starting point is 01:38:02 And shame on you for bringing it up. But I just kind of, I can't help myself. This thing is so damn catchy. I got to, I'm going to run it again. It is catchy. I've got to play it again.
Starting point is 01:38:13 Pretty genius. I got to play this again, though. Yeah, he was a lieutenant governor. And I'd say 90% of the reason I took the governor, and I took the governor, and I took the governor, and I took the governor, 90% of the reason I took the governor. And I took the governor. And I took the governor. 90% of the reason I took the governor. And I took the governor.
Starting point is 01:38:46 90% of the reason I took the governor Oh, 90% of the reason 90% of the reason I took the governor I took the governor I took the governor 90% of the reason I took the governor I took the governor I took the governor
Starting point is 01:39:20 I took the governor 90% of the reason I took the governor And again, that artist is the Keefness, K-I-F-F-N-E-S. I'm sorry, but it just reminds me of, again, of they're taking the Hobbits to Eisengard, the Eisengard, the Eisengard. No, I know. I didn't even think about that until you mentioned it, Micah. Oh, but Jesus. And the thing is, you know, the limitations of radio are such that, but we've also, it's,
Starting point is 01:39:56 Because he makes a face when he says it. Yeah. It's like all control goes. His facial muscles, everything. It's not like he just had a burp that bubbled up. No. His whole face goes with it. We're entering a new spirochet phase, I think.
Starting point is 01:40:23 The spirochetes are, even the spirochetes are almost dead. bet well it couldn't happen to a nicer guy and I hope it happens quickly huh sorry I was just gonna ask what was the name of that group again and I just want to find that and post that up on the on the blue sky uh the keefness K-I-F-F-N-E-S Donald Trump burp remix got it thank you oh and by the way you sent me a message earlier you were out and about and and well it's the birthday so one of the one of the one of the
Starting point is 01:41:06 oldest memories I have of you, Micah, it goes back to a conversation and I can't even begin to tell you when it was. We've talked about this before. You were in the drive-through line at a Wendy's and I forget what the topic was, but that was one of those uncontrollable laughter moments too. Yeah, because it was Haley. Haley said something because I was going through her drive-thru. she was working she still works for a wendy's now but she also worked at a wendy's back then and um yeah i don't remember exactly what the topic of conversation was either but it's like
Starting point is 01:41:51 i'm pulling in through the drive-thru and you're talking and i'm talking to you because i'm on the the the line with you and haley just hears it as she comes up to the radio and she made haley's got a wits so stinking quick and sharp that now it's it's like that scene from a samurai movie where she takes the samurai sword and cuts somebody as they go by and puts the thing back in haley's so quick with it that you know they just jumped to the haley putting the thing back in she doesn't you don't even realize she ever took the sword out to begin with and you're already cut in half um but yeah she made some comment and we were both rolling and i remember well it had something to do i swear it had something to do with a frosty um but that that's about as much as i
Starting point is 01:42:35 can reach for but the thing is i i i've i've i've I mentioned that, Micah, because you were out and about with the family today and ran across some maggots in the wild. Yeah, I had to get up about 4.30 in the morning, which is why I was a little late today. But I had to get up at 4.30 in the morning because my mom had a 7 o'clock appointment that I had to drive her to. and then after we got out of that, it was a procedure that required some sedation, so, you know, my mom was coming out of it and whatnot. My dad's in the hospital still.
Starting point is 01:43:18 Appreciate everyone's thoughts and good vibes and everything on that. Please continue to keep sending them. But my dad, I wanted to go see my dad, but she was like, you know, I'm not feeling great. Maybe I just need to go home and go to sleep, but I need to get something to eat. And I'm like, well, I'll give you two choices then. And I said, we can even go to the wall or go to McDonald's and we can grab, you know, a breakfast sandwich there and I'll run you home.
Starting point is 01:43:43 Or we can go to a local home, you know, greasy spoonhole in the wall place that we like to get food at. We can go there sit and eat. You can see how you feel afterward. And if you're feeling up to it, I'll either take you home or take you to go see dad. Okay, yeah, let's do that. So I'm sitting here. And this is in the middle of Lapeer, Michigan, which is. right wing as hell.
Starting point is 01:44:11 And I'm sitting there and I'm just talking to my mom and we're just, you know, enjoying our breakfast and everything. But in the booth next to us was this really heavy set elderly guy who just could not keep talking to his friends about Muslims Sharia law and how they're going to refuse. Oh, God. And so I'm just studiously, you know, casting glances over and my mom's just smiling and shaking her head and, you know, we go about our business, whatever. And then I pay the bill. Mom says, hey, I'm going to go smoke a cigarette while you pay the bill. Sure. Okay.
Starting point is 01:44:42 She walks out. I finished, you know, cleaning up, you know, garment table and everything that it all stacked up for the waitress. And then pull my card, go out, go to the counter, and I stand in line to pay. And in front of me is this mark of the beast wearing asshole who's probably in his 70s or 80s. And he's got a flannel, not a flannel, but like a denim shirt on kind of like a flannel, you know, who's over and whatnot. You see it a lot here. But on the back of it.
Starting point is 01:45:16 I think it's called Shambri. Huh? Shambry. C-H-A-M-B-R-A-Y. Yes. I'll take your word knowing over mine any day. But on the back of it, in blondes to cross the shoulders, big, bold, print. I drink raw milk.
Starting point is 01:45:38 And then below it was the address and phone number of a local dairy farm. And I'm just kind of sitting here, you know, reading this just thinking, if you're not careful, that's going to be the last thing you drink. But I didn't say anything. I just waited when you went out and they walk among us and they still vote. The Gus, just think of him as the Gusen Geyser. I like that. The guzzling geyser he is so declared. Maybe he's up,
Starting point is 01:46:12 he's shooting for the moon for the Herman Kane reward. The crazy thing is he'll get COVID at top of it. Well, you know, one good gamble and lose could put him on the moon. Crazy thing is these real white maggots believe that Sharia law is something you vote in and it becomes a law.
Starting point is 01:46:32 Not that it's a mindset or a cultural thing. And I think for some reason, we'll vote it in here because there's enough Muslims to vote here to bring in something that's in their head into our law system. Yeah, well, no, I mean, yeah, if the Democrats take the majority, the crazy, scary Muslims are going to start screaming and screeching and hollering Aloha snack bar and lopping off heads and make everybody obey sharia law. I mean, that's how it works. They just be the dream of all the white Christians. They could kill the trans people, the gay people that people they don't like it. I mean, it'd be their dream fucking thing to happen.
Starting point is 01:47:06 I've been saying for 21 years. It's a death cult. Well, for, I mean, the thing is, though, is that, you know, they're leaning into that up here because every two seconds you turn around, you know, you can't watch TV around here with some ad coming up, you know, showing, you know, RPG wielding, you know, masked up jihadists over in Afghanistan or something with, you know, Addu LaSayid, he's too radical and too dangerous for Michigan, you know,
Starting point is 01:47:34 and it's constant. It's a constant bombardment up here right now with that crap. And what pisses me off is that not only do they think that if the dentist get elected, that, oh, my God, we're going to elect Sharia law. That's not why they're mad. They're mad because they want to elect Christians so they can put in Christian law. And they see no problem. Yeah, can someone please explain to me the difference between Sharia law and Gilead Christian law? Well, look, every, every religion has its laws relating specifically to the faith.
Starting point is 01:48:11 I mean, Sharia, okay, there's probably a half a dozen different versions of Sharia because there's a half a different dozen versions of Islam or more. The Roman Catholic Church has canon. That's where they stuff the heretic down the cannon, light the fuse, and shoot them into the sun. No, I'm kidding. They burn their heretics. There's the Talmudic law that is so meticulously observed by the hyper, ultra, super duper, double secret probation Orthodox Jews. And then there are milder versions of that that extend all the way down to, you know, reform Judaism. some some keep kosher some don't but the the the the Sikhs have their own but they are all confined
Starting point is 01:49:14 internally to members of the faith there's there's there's no way to make a non-Muslim observe Sharia law well and don't forget that Donnie ticked 5,000 of the most militant Taliban they stuck them out of jails in Pakistan, turned him loose in Afghanistan. And one of the people he turned loose is now the president of Afghanistan, which is pushing their version of Sharia law on all the people in Afghanistan. So, I mean, Sharia law is something that Trump supports. Yeah, and even beyond that, and I think this was an ad either against Greg. I think it was an ad against Greg Asbot.
Starting point is 01:50:04 down in Texas in his governor's race, which is closer than he would even like to admit, where a guy of Middle Eastern extraction says, I'm voting for Greg Abbott because he's been great for Muslims in Texas and sits there and reels off a list of statistics on things that, you know, Greg Abbott signing off on a on a bill for Muslim students, et cetera, et cetera,
Starting point is 01:50:37 et cetera. And it was, you know, it was all parody. But the thing is, the things that recited were things that Greg Aspott actually did that the Sharia law, barking and gruntin and hootin and hootin' asshole maggots in Texas
Starting point is 01:50:53 have never even heard of. Sorry, just want to just want to throw one of those. in every now and then since I don't have it on the soundboard yet. That's the new over or Roger. Roger and out, right? Exactly. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:51:19 This timeline. Anybody out there? Is there anybody out there? Er. 21 years of professional progressive broadcasting and on our birthday night, we're celebrating. night, we're celebrating it by making weird grunting noises into the microphone because that's what the dementia patient in chief is doing. Do you ever think when you started this that that's how we'd end up? No, I was thinking about that all day long. I didn't, I didn't. The ultimate culmination of 21 years.
Starting point is 01:52:01 Yeah, no. What we expected 21 years. ago, this ain't nothing like. Because we were all ready to go into terrestrial radio. We had, we, we had, we had, we had some really shitty internet. My God, back then the cost for reliable internet, I had a half of a T1 that cost $750 a month. Micah, have you painted yet? No, I remember. And it went down. It went down. It went down. any time there was thunder within a thousand statute miles of my house. Yeah, I think I was running on ADSL at the time, and that was just a recent upgrade from the modem. And Victoria, can Victoria promise us that you're not waving and blowing kisses and talking to people aren't there yet?
Starting point is 01:53:05 Because you're doing that, the program's really gone on the hole. Yeah, what? Said, can Victoria... No, I heard you, but where did that... Where did that idea even bubble up from into your consciousness? Well, we're talking about the program degrading. I'm just making sure it's not getting that far. I talked about the butterfly not earlier.
Starting point is 01:53:23 It's just a continuation of that. Cuvinal delinquent number two. I swear to God, sometimes. Hey, you make fun of one end, make front of the other way. There you go. I'll stand on the tech side here. I can remember getting a second phone line in my house or the modem, and you had to pay.
Starting point is 01:53:49 more to get from a 1,200 bod modem to a 2,400 bod modem. I think by the time, you were at 2,800 bod modems, and that was before we switched to 144 megabits per second. I remember being saying they connect to a 56K when it was possible. It was usually 28 or 36, even with a 56K. Oh, my God, I can hear people switching away even as we speak. We're nerding. Make it stop.
Starting point is 01:54:22 Bob, bawd, pod, I can't help it, I was born like this. We need to see, start playing the sounder open, exactly, play the song and nerved it out completely, get the full effect in here. No. It doesn't sound like the old, yeah, the old modems. No, I was running a K-Pro 2, CPM. Then I went to a 286 and was using a brown bag software because Windows 95 wasn't that. yet and note coming in from Tamara the Mormon Taliban oh dear God remember the Mormon sister wives of the Warren Jeff's cult with those hairdoes it's not a compound
Starting point is 01:55:25 oh my God I mean that was scary I remember that yeah we've been through clove and his son ammonium nitrate Bundy please send snacks I thought about that the other day when the guy was, when they ice thug, the ice goon was weeping in court that he had been, that he was only following orders and saying that you don't know what it was like to have to go out there among those protesters. It was scary. It made me sad. They were yelling mean things at me. And they were, they were throwing sex toys at me. It was terrible.
Starting point is 01:56:07 Oh, the humanity. Yeah. The flag is falling. And then out there, you know, but history made. not repeat, but it rhymes because years before out at Malur Wildlife Bird Refuge, Ammonium
Starting point is 01:56:21 nitrate Bundy was complaining because they didn't have snacks and people were just sending them bags of dicks. Oh God, that fucker. But Mike, I do have a question for you. You heard that one clip
Starting point is 01:56:41 about where he says in Michigan there's a jihadist did you hear the nit in that or was I am I just hallucinating? No I heard it I was looking for a clip
Starting point is 01:56:57 I think it was from Family Guy where it was like the puzzle and it was just I GGRERS and I was just you know it's like it's cuts the contestant face and it's like you can tell that's what he wants to answer but he knows he shouldn't
Starting point is 01:57:12 and it's probably a different answer and it's like, I almost sent that to you because, yeah, I heard it immediately. I mean, there can't be, but, you know, again, 21 years of doing this kind of thing. It's the things that the multimillionaire for-profit media don't notice that we do that makes the difference. Everybody's focused on the, and nobody noticed that he came within the, the, the, the, the, the, the babyist hair on a gnat's ass of saying, the word that we've been waiting for him to say for years. They won't be shocked. I think they are aware of that.
Starting point is 01:57:55 I think they deliberately do not report on it. I mean, what's his name? Neil, what's his name from the apprentice? The producer of it said years ago he was healing the N-word during the apprentice. It's nothing new. Noel Casler. And his daddy was caught in a clan uniform in the 20s. So, I mean, what we know this about them is.
Starting point is 01:58:13 It's no surprise to us. And they're going to embrace it. openly when it happens, because then all the white crazy people, they say it openly, too, as much as they want with, you know, no repercussions against punch in the face for the people who don't want to hear it. There you go. Oh, and, you know, I ran some of those Tala Rico ads earlier for a reason because, you know, Texas is being flooded by Leon Scum money. And as I pointed out, because his brain has been hollowed out by various and sundry different substances, most likely.
Starting point is 01:58:50 He's dumping all that money into Texas and he's dumping it into anti-trans ads. Good. I mean, I'm sorry. No, they're hard. It's gross. But good. Keep dumping it into an issue that doesn't matter to anybody. Because it's not even in the top 20.
Starting point is 01:59:07 Texas has passed every conceivable law against trans people. But that neo-max zoom dweeby with a with a with a with a, fortune of electronic money, keep wasting it, dumbass. But the point here is that every time he opens his mouth, every time the maggots open their mouths, somebody in the Tala Rico campaign has an immediate, perfect answer for it. So the other day, Leon Scum, space Nazi, got on his excrement account and posted an excrement saying, oh, there's something deeply wrong with Tala Rico. And bang, before the pixels even had a chance to get dry on the screen, he replied,
Starting point is 02:00:02 there's something deeply wrong with the political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. senator. Oh, and by the way, got a note from Tom in sunny San Rafael, who's been with us from the very beginning. Hi, Robin and everyone. Just checking in to say, happy birthday, 21 years and still going. Insert, wait, I'm too old. I remember the 300 bod modem and CPM. Signed Tom in Sunny San Rick Bell. Er. Yeah, got to do that. Thanks, Tom. Thank you so much. I love that we've still got people who have been here through the 21 years. It's amazing. Steve for Georgia Stan is another one of those folks. I was kind of hoping to hear from him this evening. Oh, golly. So many folks. And, you know, I do.
Starting point is 02:01:16 I still think about the people we lost during the Great Purity Wars of 2016, like Mike in Cascadia mentioned. earlier and by the way we've entered the third hour of the program we're trying to build a little community made miracle this evening there's twenty dollars to go on ralps's uh happy horn a birthday challenge that was a fifty dollar challenge we've met uh 30 of it so if we could knock out that last 20 that would be helpful we'd get down to 2645 for the october uh the october number to finish fully funded. So every, every bit helps. And it's true now as, it's as true now as ever. And it's how this program has lasted as long as it has. Anybody else got any other goodies for this evening? Because I got a couple of stories here that
Starting point is 02:02:29 I find a bit, a bit curious to say the least. Okay, now you've all gone quiet. Earp. That's not getting a lot of while, is it? No, we can do that for the rest of the program. Bud. Come on, somebody. Bud. Why?
Starting point is 02:03:10 Erp. Louis, you begging for a pink slip. That's not French, the parrot. Okay, one of the stories that I said I had kind of in mind. With all this talk of voter fraud, remember, it's all either projection or confession. In this case, it's confession. We have to go to Pennsylvania for this one. And for anybody in the Pennsylvania area,
Starting point is 02:04:10 Josh Shapiro is safe in his race, isn't he? I hope. Oh, TJ, thank you so much. T.J. just finished off Rapses' challenge, so we're down at 2645. Mike and Cascadia just said, I got the 20. it helps that'll get us down to 2625 so thank you both thank you very kindly indeed and thank you ralps for the challenge this story comes via the bulwark and remember that's a bunch of
Starting point is 02:04:57 never-trump Republicans but they're still Republicans I mean for instance they have people like, remember this guy? William the Bloody Crystal, who was such a big fanboy of W. and his slaughterfest in Iraq. But nonetheless,
Starting point is 02:05:25 this bulwark investigation looked into a loudmouth maggot, weren't they all, named Scott Pressler. And what the bulwark found out that Scott Pressler bought a house in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. That's north of Pittsburgh. Beaver Falls, home for NFL and college football fans of your home of Joe Namath. But Scott Presler bought the house in April 2024 and then three different people who weren't part of his family. Remember how
Starting point is 02:06:13 nitwit Niro carried Pennsylvania in 20, 24. Yeah. That sketchy as shit election where the odds of him carrying every swing state were practically zero, but somehow he did. Yeah. Well, three people who were not members of Scott Pressler's family used the address of the Beaver County House to register to vote in PA and none of those three people actually lived in that particular district, electoral district. The law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania says you have to live somewhere for at least 30 days before election day and that the place you register from has to be a place, quote, to which whenever he is absent, he has the intention of returning.
Starting point is 02:07:11 and it even goes on and says someone using a place for temporary purposes only has not achieved what the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania considers to be residency. Ah. Well, who might that be? Well, how about political consultant Heather Langley? During the 2024 campaign, she said her home was in Louisiana,
Starting point is 02:07:39 stand. On the other hand, she was also paid by Scott Pressler's PAC and said that her address for those purposes was in Florida. And then in Florida, she voted in a special election in April 2025. Well, that's one of the three. Then there's Alfred Ashley of Oklahoma Stan. On September the 20th, 20, 24 in the bulwark story, they note that he said, as an out-of-state resident, I cannot legally register voters here. but then he said three days later a move to Pennsylvania just to vote for Trump and then later posted I'm driving to Oklahoma to Moore then there's Joseph Albert Petriella of Arlington, Virginia who on a federal election form for donations said six days before the election that his residents was wait for it, Arlington, Virginia. And it's gone on until this very year. Braden Douglas Sisk, a Washington State National Delegate to the RNC, registered at the address in Beaver County, Pennsylvania in June,
Starting point is 02:09:10 and apparently has already voted. On October the 18th, however, he said, well, I'm headed back down, back to Washington State now to chase ballots. Now, you have to understand this, Scott Pressler creep is one of those people who's been barking and grunting and hooting since 2020, that the 2020 election was stolt. So the question becomes one of who's got jurisdiction to charge these four crooks? I don't know enough. Can the states do it? Can the states say G? I don't know, Christopher.
Starting point is 02:09:58 It could be that... Is it Casper Tell's going to do anything? What, you know, it's not a goddamn thing. But it's a violation of Pennsylvania law. So theoretically, if the violation took place in Beaver County, wouldn't that confer jurisdiction on the Beaver County District Attorney? And barring that, and barring that, the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Yeah. The former Deputy Secretary of State for Elections in Pennsylvania,
Starting point is 02:10:30 Marion Schneider, said, these are people who are gaming the system, which is exactly what they've been railing about. An election lawyer in Philadelphia named Adam Bonnan said, it's not even a close call under Pennsylvania law. Lock her up. Lock them up. Yeah. All five of them. Pressler. What's her name? What's his name? What's his name and what's his name? That's two what's their names and three what's his names. Or, you know, just it's out in the open. It's pure criminality.
Starting point is 02:11:22 And they really think that they won't be held accountable. And how many millions of times have we said on the front porch, back porch, wherever, it started, you could say it started with Harding, it started with Nixon, whatever. There's never been any accountability for any of these folks. And it's kept getting worse and worse. And they're more brazen and more brazen. They just don't give a fuck about rule law. Just don't. No, they do not.
Starting point is 02:11:56 And by the way, Ralph says, thanks everybody. So great. 26, 25 is where we are. If we could keep it going for the rest of the hour into the weekend that'd be fantastic now I saw a headline earlier today and I'm trying to see where I put it okay let me check another place because it was it was one of those little journalism moments that we've had here over the years that's not it well the upshot of the headline was MAGA governor candidate faces more questions about
Starting point is 02:13:14 residency or something along those lines. And what kind of made me giggle was that, well, here in 26, the maggots are so playing so fast and loose with residency, in any other year, it would have been like, oh, that means, but no, I got to thinking, and there are at least two gubernatorial races in this country, where the guy running as the maggot nominee doesn't actually live in the maggot state he's running in. That's the guy Lane in Iwoeja and of course, coach Tommy the Tuber down in Alabama, variously also known as Florida man because he lives in Florida. and in the Iowa case, the maggot billionaire still sits on the board of an unaccredited Jesus school of some sort in Kansas and flies his private plane to and from Iowa.
Starting point is 02:14:43 And I'm not sure what the Iowa contingent of the Horn family. community congregation might say about this, but I get the idea that he's not exactly resonating with folks out there in the heartland. You mean, not everybody in Iowa has a Gulfstream 5? I know. I know. Sometimes I wonder if it's the horns Gulfstream 5 that he bought used or something. I remember having to sell that and concrete in the Olympic-sized pancreas-shaped swimming pool
Starting point is 02:15:19 and lay off the pool boy and the cabana boy and yeah gone of the day not for nothing rob it not for nothing robin but we have another person who joins occasionally zed joined us oh zed managed to make it in this evening stop it did they stop the goddamn hammering zed no maybe they're still hammering and and zed's just you need to click on the red mic zad or pull down your mic you know i always have problems i always do a in-private window. Separate from the rest, you know, open a new browser. And then my audio always works. If I had open another tab, it seems to get funky. Tactical note, the checked on the peppers.
Starting point is 02:16:38 Yes. I know I bought some other peppers and I can't find them. I bought some Serranos to throw in there. A few of those. and I don't I know I Were you were you going to Were you going to I presume you got some Poblanos
Starting point is 02:16:54 Oh yeah yeah Those are the yeah The big green ones Were you were you going to char those And put them in a brown paper bag And then pull the skin off of them Because that's usually what I do Yeah
Starting point is 02:17:12 And they put the rest of it in the blender Yes I took the seeds out already Yeah I was going to say D-Ced them. I can't find those goddamn Serrano's. I must have left them. Oh, well.
Starting point is 02:17:28 Will you make the reference about Stop the Hammering? Is that the reference to Lawrence of Donald losing his shit and recording one time about Stop the hammering in the studio? No, no, no, that was a Oh, yeah. I mean, that was a, that was a meme from
Starting point is 02:17:38 Scrooge that Zed put up. There's also a there's also a recording of Lawrence on it as best screaming and his staff to stop yeah it goes completely insane unhinged that's a great clip just out of curiosity I have not yet it's one of my plans for the weekend
Starting point is 02:18:09 but has anyone gone and watched the Lindsay Graham documentary oh I don't know I don't know if I've got the stomach for that you're kind of cautious of that is that a young turn I don't think it's the young Turks. Pretty positive it is. A swamp watch? That's something to do with them.
Starting point is 02:18:38 As I heard it in multiple places, they have something to do a swamp watch. Well, then, yeah, that does take some of the credibility away from it, doesn't it? I mean, check for yourself. Like I said, I heard this, and I'm almost positive I heard it, that it's swamp watch was attached to what's his face somehow. One or another, and as soon as I heard that, I'm like, yeah, even, Matt, even, you know, even, Adam Mochler mentioned the other day that Flom Poch has something to do with Jake Eugher. He's like, so yeah, this is probably somewhat
Starting point is 02:19:05 true, but I question it because of his integrity. You know, he's a cellic. Jake Juncker is not that much different than Alex Jones. He's just our version of it. Oh, I know. I used to run across him at some of those radio rows in D.C.
Starting point is 02:19:27 But well, he's uncle's Jank to what's his name, Hassan Piker, who refers to himself as, who refers to himself as a hymbo. Go here. So watch at your own risk. I'll probably abstain until I hear more about it, but that kind of term, I'll
Starting point is 02:19:49 quite a bit to it, even though it's probably largely true, got to be careful. Well, but, see, a jank will do anything for a dollar. I remember when he was a part of, oh, God, what was it, what was it called? wolf pack and they were barking and grunting about wanting an article five convention of the states oh god and bless his heart i think i think uh i think dr bill uh about about had uh live kittens with crocheted tails on air uh for those of you who remember dr bill you know mild mannered wouldn't say shit with a mouthful wonderful man but and and and and i love dr bill and he still had, you know, he had that lovely South Boston accent that was still somewhat present.
Starting point is 02:20:41 And I just read, well, that's crazy. That's the worst. They only put that in the Constitution to satisfy some of the stranger members of the constitutional convention. It wasn't put there to be used. James Madison, you know, and when Dr. Bill talked about James Madison, it sounded like he was talking about his next-door neighbor. He was his, as a, as a PhD in the constitutional ratification period of American history, he talked about all those guys like they were his next-door neighbor.
Starting point is 02:21:20 Because he had researched so deeply into who they were and why they fought the way they did. Well, James Madison only put that in there to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to mollify the crazy people. But the funny thing was, that was going on at a time when that was the great fetish object of the, of the tea baggers. They wanted an Article 5 convention of the states to get together and pass a balanced budget amendment. And no one, no one could, well, no one took, no one, everybody knew they were nuts. and some people are like, well, it might not be a bad idea. Hans Wolfpack.
Starting point is 02:22:09 And it's like, no, God damn it. James Madison explained all by himself that when they called the Constitutional Convention in 1787, the minute it got gaveled, and it was gaveled in illegally where the, as far as the articles of Confederation were concerned. But the minute the gavel came down, it was Katie Barr the door and everything was on the table. So even if you said, oh, we're just going to pass a balanced budget amendment and then and and and then will adjourn sign he die. No. Because there's going to be some other asshole Republican standing there saying, Mr. President, I have a I have an amendment here to make sure that the the sinful women can't control their own bodies anymore in the name of Jesus. And then somebody,
Starting point is 02:23:02 some other freaking Republican stands up and says, speaking of which, we need to put the name of Jesus into the Constitution, and you're off to the races. And it's illegal not to own a gun. We'll make a law for that. They'll put that in the absolute. I propose we amend the Second Amendment to change it from keeping bear arms to own guns, because arms can mean other things, and keeping bare doesn't make, we've got to make sure
Starting point is 02:23:32 It means own guns and everybody's got to have a gun. You got to have a gun. Everybody got to own a gun. You got to arm all the bears in the forest and give them rakes. Meanwhile, you know, the NRA is standing outside with a brown paper bag and says, here's your bag of money. Good boy. I don't want to take it too dark, but Aisa brought something to my light onto my knowledge
Starting point is 02:23:54 last night, which caught me off guard. He had mentioned that Thomas has passed. No, I mentioned that. Well, I missed it because I was in phone calls. Oh, okay. Yeah. You don't have to get too into details. I know Thomas went through a rash of shit last year, and you visibly can see it if you were following them.
Starting point is 02:24:13 And I feel bad for them for what happened in them. Did Tara know any details of them? No, no details at all. Because I fear it's not going to be good. I really do. Oh. I'm just going to leave it be what it is. And if anybody needed to know anything more,
Starting point is 02:24:30 we would have been informed. That says enough right there saying that, Robin. That says it right there. Well, I mean, that's heart attack, cancer, anything. No, I did. Yeah, I doubt it, unfortunately. Oh, well, I was sad to hear it. I'm very interesting when they spoke to a single time,
Starting point is 02:24:51 but the last time they called you, I could hear distress in their voice. I pick up on things like this. I remember that. It was a haunting phone call to me. They were so just kind of like, out of sorts. So I remember it, unfortunately. Yeah, it was sad.
Starting point is 02:25:12 I was just curious if you drew any more, but you said enough. We can all guess. We'll ever know. We're probably better off if we don't. That's kind of a cob. It's life. But, yeah, we've lost a lot of people over the years. Wayne, Gina, Bruce, Karen.
Starting point is 02:25:46 early on mora i will never forget mora she called the program to say goodbye from her deathbeds wow uh what's there i i feel so bad for getting her name but the uh the woman who had the adoptives uh the adoptives carol baker peril baker yeah she's really yeah uh but mora on nine eleven had breathed a lung full of that stuff that christie todd whitman uh who was head of the EPA at the time, said, oh, it's perfectly fine out there, but she breathed a lungful of it. And she'd been a successful worker in IT on Wall Street.
Starting point is 02:26:29 And in almost no time at all, she was reduced to an invalid status because she couldn't breathe anymore. Bastards. You talked about police essentially, or remnants of mountain talk about removal or something else? No, no, no, no. that was more a breathing breathing dust on 9-11 okay not okay yeah because she was she was down
Starting point is 02:26:57 literally in the thick of things and god knows mr stress oh god yeah yeah that's one person i would have loved to hear a couple of years maybe the last you know what i would say at least the last two to hear his opinion on this and to relate some of the history he knew would have been fantastic to hear on It's a voice I wish I could hear. Yeah. I keep hearing people popping in or not popping out or whatever. Well, Tristan was there. Tristan was there.
Starting point is 02:27:35 That might have been me because my screen dropped out. I had to come back in. It's been Tristan's coming on just for whatever reason. And Squeaky just came in as who came in last. Oh, they're Squeaky. Okay. Hi. So, oh.
Starting point is 02:28:05 Anybody got any stories that are just driving you crazy? The ads up here. Raisin will not get off my TV screen, and I can't. I really can't handle it anymore. That witch. They created a new smart drop box where your return envelope has a barcode on it. and you put it in and it recognizes that barcode and immediately sends you an email or a text message saying your ballot has been accepted. And the idea here is that most of the drop boxes, even though it's a rather narrow slot, there have been occasions where people have sabotaged the ballots inside the drop box.
Starting point is 02:29:02 But this way, as soon as you enter it, the data that your return ballot has been set off, If somebody were to dump something in the box that would damage your ballots, they can notify you that your ballot was one of the ones that was damaged and send you a new ballot or ask you to come in and vote. We dropped our ballot off down there. You went all the way to Salem? No, it was right in the Lane County local elections office, federal, not federal, state building in Eugene.
Starting point is 02:29:38 It was just downtown instead of the local safe one. Oh, okay, good. I braved it. I dropped it off at the post office. We're not going with the trends. Sorry, go away, Chris. No, I don't.
Starting point is 02:29:55 Hopefully nobody fucks around. We can only hope. We're not going with the early voting trend in Vermont. We're actually less than the last two election cycles, which doesn't make me feel great. By the same token, if you're, if you haven't in place voting, I could see a lot of people are saying, I'm just going to go on election day.
Starting point is 02:30:21 Fuck it. Bypass any possible refraff scruing with the mail, crop boxes. Maybe they're just thinking themselves, okay, that means I just have to go in. I'm planning on doing early in-person voting tomorrow probably, the city hall. Yeah, I'm going to be heading home probably about midweek so that I can early vote. I just don't want to risk any shenanigans on election day. There's too much at stake. And, yeah, there is.
Starting point is 02:30:59 I'll vote for, I'll vote for the Democrats in West Virginia and hope that we might be slowly waking up. Oh, for the in-memorium segment of the program, AISA just reminded me. We also lost Charlie from Kingsport, Tennessee. He called in on April 29th, 2020 from his hospital room one last time. he said it would probably be his last charlie was salt of the earth too yes he was uh and i remember uh oh just random names i don't you know people and that's the thing people come and people go and nobody ever tells you know we found out about about uh scott a month after he was gone yeah um but i think about elwyn who used to call in um and you know um jack in shreveport uh ron and raleigh
Starting point is 02:31:55 and some may just decide to you know just to go away or whatever i don't know um there's one you'll remember because of your uh your connection to him gary adkins he came over here during covid discovered you through John and through Sparky, he was the guy from Alabama. Yeah, yeah, and he passed away a couple years ago, too. He died two years ago, yeah. Yeah. One of the early ones from the very beginning of the program, another besides Tom and Steve from Georgia Stan and gosh, Tony and Chico has been with us for a very long time.
Starting point is 02:32:36 but I would be remiss if I didn't mention David in South Carolina Stan. He was there listening to the WWNR stream back before October 24th, 20, well, 2005. Yeah. I see that Tristan has made it back in. Hey, Tristan. Hello. Yeah, how are you? I'm fine. How are you doing?
Starting point is 02:33:14 Dandy, I think. I mean, birthday, whatnot, all that. Yeah. Holy hell. Yeah, 21 years. And, of course, Dave in the Blind mentioned that he wouldn't be able to be here this evening, but he got his happy birthdays in earlier. I think they're dealing with family stuff. So I hope that's all going well for Dave and Christine's okay. Indeed. 21 years.
Starting point is 02:33:40 I mean, just to do the math, I was a, oh, golly. When we went on air, stand-alone as an Internet-only broadcast, I was 42 years old. Wow. Yeah, I was a baby. Only now looking back, do I realize it? Hell, I was an infant. Well, I wasn't even born yet. If you were an infant, I was only 10 years old. Exactly. My goodness.
Starting point is 02:34:31 I think I'm your son's age. Yeah, he's 30. Yeah, I'm 31, but I just turned 31 a couple months ago. Okay. He'll be 31 the day after Christmas. Oh, wow. Boxing day. That's cool. Yeah, well, and in fact that my English eminent. a gray magistrate that I practiced before for several years, who was also now gone. She used to call him, my boxing day, baby.
Starting point is 02:35:01 Wow. Yeah, he really got stiff. Nobody wants their birthday on Christmas. There's a lot to be proud of, you know. You've done so much. I mean, I'm not even going to lie to you. When I first called this program, I was in a very dark place. and I have you to thank for helping me out of it.
Starting point is 02:35:25 That warms my heart, Tristan. It truly does. Theo and I were talking a few months, maybe a year ago. He's a... I don't say that lightly. I know you don't. But I referenced a book called Callahan's Cross-Time Saloon, science fiction book novel sort of well it's more of a collection of short stories but the the premise being that there's this there's this bar somewhere and people find it when they're supposed to
Starting point is 02:36:00 find it oh no what i can't hear anything uh uh i wonder what crashed we can hear you yeah we hear you tristan but anyway people people people find that bar when they're supposed to find it. And I always thought that that was an apt analogy for the horn. People find us, find this community when they need to. And sometimes they move on after that. Tom and Sunny San Rafael just said, another voice I miss is Albert, the Sage of Southwest, Wisconsin. I hope he's okay.
Starting point is 02:36:44 I see him every now online. He's still out there and he's doing his dead little. best. The twins are all grown up and my goodness gracious. But yeah, and well, I was kind of, I was kind of hoping somehow or another we might hear from Reverbo this evening. I don't know if he's out there, but some of the, you know, Albert and I, Reverbo and I, had some of the most epic conversations and I would be remiss if I didn't mention Sandra. God, I miss her wit. She destroyed me a few times too. Oh yeah. Yeah, Tamara says, I remember early on you had little kids in the house and those long talks with Juanita. Juanita is an angel. And I guess she's, I hope she's okay. She was having some,
Starting point is 02:37:43 a rough time last I heard from, we heard from her. Jude keeps in touch with her. And I hope, I hope that she's heard. I hope Jude's heard something. Yeah, the trip to the, the trip to D.C. Where I met Guy James for the first time in person, January 20th, 2009. Sometime after that, I told the story about the, I didn't know didily about getting around D.C. at the time. and this guy who could have, you know, could have killed me. But instead walked me to my hotel and I gave him a $20 bill.
Starting point is 02:38:29 And I remember telling the story in Juanita saying, well, that was an angel. Don't you realize that? That was an angel that was sent to take care of you. Juanita is such a sweetheart. I think I'm back now. Yeah, you are. You are. Okay. My little device quit on me.
Starting point is 02:38:56 I thought that might have been the case. Just one last thing, Tamara is saying, I remember early on you had little kids in the house. Yeah, we had four of them running around. My dad was living with us at the time. You know, let's see. 2005, Berg would have been coming up on 10. Doodle would have been eight, Margie would have been nine. Yeah, and Laura was an early teen.
Starting point is 02:39:41 And yeah, I used to have them read the Christmas story, just because I kind of wanted to record those little voices from that time. Thanks for reminding me, Tamara. Thank you very kindly. I'm sorry, Tristan. I just wanted to finish. that thought. Yeah, no, it's all good. I was just, I was also wondering, there was another person who, um, who was, uh, on the air sometime, at least when I was, when I first started listening,
Starting point is 02:40:15 Richard from East Tennessee, you remember him? Oh, I loved Richard and he just kind of, I think he just sort of disappeared. He, uh, he lived out in the Bay area and was having to move because it had become unmanageably expensive and looked all over the all over the country to try to find somewhere that would be able to have services that he could leverage rich richard richard richard richard was a genius and i hate to use the past tense i just haven't heard from him because he'd been having heart troubles but um he moved to cleveland tennessee from san francisco and my god the culture shock Among other things, he had expertise in phonograph stylists. And he was a musician of some considerable merit as well.
Starting point is 02:41:12 But his passion was classic turntables and the styluses that went with them. And of course, the stuff to play on them. I think at one point in time he said he had, I think he had never actually listened to a rock and roll record. And at one point, yeah, he jocked for the local classical station. That's cool. And struggling for a name here, but Brother Deacon Asa may recall, he was from either southern Minnesota or Iowa, and he took a trip. When the total eclipse happened, he went all the way down to Bowling Green, Kentucky to be able to see it.
Starting point is 02:42:12 I'm ashamed that I can't recall his name. I seem to remember in the reruns there was a guy named Roger, another Roger, from that part of the country. I don't know if that was him. So many, so many. And of course, I haven't, I've seen her call in on my regular line a couple of times. I'd like to have a check-in from Tracy just to know that she's okay. Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about her too.
Starting point is 02:42:49 And Alex. Need to give them a call. Alice, Alice, who was approaching 100 and listened every night. Gracious. Sorry, I didn't mean to turn this. Well, I kind of had to turn into memory lane a little bit. You know, yeah, Jay. I mean, it makes sense.
Starting point is 02:43:22 You know, if you're going to do it now is the time. It's a good time as any, I guess, for a more in-memorium. Well, it's, and it's, it's all part of the larger conversation. I mean, that's, it's amazing the conversations that have taken place here because, you know, I came up with the concept of conversation radio when we started this. I said, I didn't want any stops for hard breaks and I didn't want any, that's enough about you. Let's talk about me, Limbaugh radio. And no super beats. No, yeah, no super beat.
Starting point is 02:44:02 Alabama sex clams. Another great moment in foreign history. Yeah. But I wanted it to be conversational, and I didn't want to run anybody off, and I wanted people to have the opportunity to say what they needed to say, because that's almost impossible to find anywhere else, and God knows not in terrestrial radio where, well, that's enough. Okay, great to hear from you.
Starting point is 02:44:28 We've got to sell some Bose Wave radios now. You can listen to it on your, on your, The Swedish master mattress made of foam designed by NASA. And you can, you can use your phone and call now and buy gold. There's never been a better time to, yeah. And we've managed all this without any of that. Oh, yeah. Yes, Tamara remembering little girl.
Starting point is 02:45:09 Used to call in from Texas. Yeah, that was, that was Cassie. I hope Cassie as well. Yeah. I know I keep coming to you truly, but I have this eight-figure. Yeah, she went on. She graduated from Princeton. She went to law school.
Starting point is 02:45:29 I don't know if she ever finished law school. Yes, a lot of cases. But, yeah, I lost touch with Cassie for the, very last time, sometime after transition. Yeah, Dr. Allen down in Texas. Dr. Allen's still out there listening, I hope. Yeah, okay, I don't know where that noise is coming from, but it needs to not be happening. But that's a whole lot of memory.
Starting point is 02:46:06 I am here to tell Billable to be quiet. No, I took her available. I forgot to mute. Sorry, that was me. Oh, okay. And, of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention our one horn in. Roger and Patricia were there. Zed was there.
Starting point is 02:46:29 David? David was there. Drove across the country. And Joey. Joey. Joey was there. Yeah, Joey was there. Tara.
Starting point is 02:46:41 And didn't Tara? Sarah sure. Yeah, Tara was there. Who? Tara Devlin. Oh, Roger said somebody else, I thought. No, he said Tara. Oh, he did too.
Starting point is 02:46:56 Okay. Yeah. I'd love to do it. Just a little sports break. Anybody care about the World Series? Yeah, a little bit. Some. I mean, it's interesting.
Starting point is 02:47:13 There's five teams that have never won one in World Series, and two of them are going up against each other. Somebody has to win. What, Tampa? Yeah, Tampa Bay and the Brew. Yeah, neither one of them is. have one one that's pretty interesting yeah the well the brewer and the brewers the brewers played in one as uh uh as an american league team yeah 82 they lost their cards that lineup i think everybody
Starting point is 02:47:47 had 20 home runs in that lineup it was like a modern-day murderers row it was unbelievable they couldn't beat ozie no that cardinals team was stocked too. Oh yeah. And I was actually, I was actually going to college in Missouri at that time and the place was, I mean, buzzing because my college even had an alum who was a member, I think he was still playing at the time, Bake McBride. And he had gone to Westminster, Missouri, where I was a student at the time. I remember go to Willie McGee. Mm-hmm. So where, so. So, So is, I mean, is it underway or has it?
Starting point is 02:48:38 Ah, soon. Ten minutes. I think they start. And that's game one. They'll do all the pageantry stuff, huh? That's game one. Yeah, game one. Milwaukee or Tampa?
Starting point is 02:48:52 I'm thinking Tampa's stronger. Well, I'll tell you. Where's just, they got great sense of pitching. Huh? Milwaukee in four games. You really think so. Oh, sweet. sweet. Hey, everybody.
Starting point is 02:49:09 Hey, bye. Hey, I wanted to share some top moments in foreign history. Oh, please. I wanted to also mention one other, one other person that we have, that you hear in full broadcast, Edgar, Virginia, a very sweet man. He passed away, I believe. Oh, Edward was from Texas. Yeah. Oh, Edward. Oh, Edward. Oh, Edward. Okay. Yeah, Edward from Texas. Brother Deacon Asa reminded me of him.
Starting point is 02:49:33 What a fucking rock star he was. Oh, my God, yes. And the story's about his aunties. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And by the way, Ralph. Yeah. And by the way, Ralphs and her sister were at the horn in.
Starting point is 02:49:48 I think that, I think that rounds out the attendance there. Okay. It was a blast. Well, I'm going to throw 50 into the kitty here. Oh, thank you. Thank you. So we're down to 2575. Thank you, Billable.
Starting point is 02:50:01 Yeah. And what is the email where I can reach a program, right? I'm not on my old computer anymore. Oh, you just use the old email, Bob Kincaid at gmail.com. Ooh, that's weird to say. Oh, Bob Kincaid at Gmail. Yeah, K-I-N-C-A-I-D. I know.
Starting point is 02:50:17 Okay. So here are some top moments of history, at least according to me, when Scott talked about the monkey trying to saw the green advisor is a hand on his head. Yeah, I think that is the all-time funniest horn moment, honestly. I think so. And then when we were talking about cats and Steve was thinking that it really was all about the cats, it really wasn't. Yeah, it's not about the cat. It's not about the cat, Rick. I know, I know. And then Steve was having problems with his stove or whatever, and you made the mistake.
Starting point is 02:50:56 And I called him the guy. And we told him to call the guy. Oh, that was. Yeah, call the guy. That was really good. Yeah. And Steve's great. And Steve. Steve's account of his colonoscopy. Right, the 20-year-old piece of bubble gum they found. Yes. And then on a more serious note, the night that Mr. Stress' life was saved by a listener, I think it was Mr. Laborman. Gary.
Starting point is 02:51:23 No, it was Tom. It was Tom. He was. Oh, okay. Tom was just a few miles away and flew to, and flew to Mr. Stress's salvation. Right, right. And another great moment in Martinus Drew was about maybe in 20, it must have been about 2017 or 18. I went, Joe from Cleveland came into town and we went down to the train down to the Padres game. We drove down to the Padres game, met up with Scott beforehand.
Starting point is 02:51:56 And Tamara. Stakehouse. And Tambra joined us. Yeah. That was a pretty good highlight. And then another one I remember is I was, I think it was after the. the 2016 election, and I was down and headed to Pensacola, but on the way, visited Jim Garrison in New Orleans. Oh, yeah. Brian told you about that.
Starting point is 02:52:18 We called you from the road there. Those are at least a few of the members. It's like I've been listening probably since that's got to be going on 14 years now, at least, maybe more. Oh, yeah, every bit of it. Yeah. So anyway, a lot of good men. memories and cheers.
Starting point is 02:52:37 Well, thank you, Billable. Cheers. Thank you. And you've been a part of so many of those memories. Well, thanks. I have long wondered, and I don't even know if it's findable anymore. There was, and it just, it lives in my memory because it was just a moment. Reverbo and I were talking one evening.
Starting point is 02:53:02 And he asked one of those. questions that just sort of swung wide the door. And I think we were talking about Afghanistan at the time. And I think I must have gone on for 20, 25 minutes, and it turned into sort of an irreverent history of the world. And I remember later on, Reverbo just like, where do you get this? I don't know. and of course Reverbo writing at the Horn website for a little bit,
Starting point is 02:53:43 featuring his personal dirigible The Silver Pelican and a cocktail that he invented, we still not necessarily know what's in it, but a cocktail that he invented just for literary purposes in the stories of the Silver Pelican, and it was called the Rum Rockaroo. Oh, and Tamara just said there was an English teacher in Asia. Yeah, Japan.
Starting point is 02:54:16 I can't remember his name, Robert. And he would call in in the middle of the night from Japan. Yeah, I love those conversations. And he was raising a family there. I hope everybody's okay. But just more than anything, if you decide to disappear, and it's not because of the fickle finger of fate. Just drop me a note and say, you know, see ya. Don't worry because we worry. And that's
Starting point is 02:54:54 part of why this has been such an amazing community for so very long. I think I forgot one or two moments with Matt from San Francisco and making me bust out. Oh, Jesus Christ. Yeah, the the them's fake boobs suspiciously large woman moment. That was devastating. that was so good and of course Matt's emails talking about and it was
Starting point is 02:55:28 it was a prayer meeting Wednesday episode and I was shrieking like a banshee and apparently at the time Matt was driving
Starting point is 02:55:42 through the Castro district of San Francisco Matt's gotten a lot of looks over the years from listening to this program. He's gotten strange looks in the gym, strange looks on the street, strange looks while driving in the car, just because he was going down the road laughing his head off. And God knows, for any time I've done that to him, he's done it to me a thousand times over,
Starting point is 02:56:11 pressed down, and shaken together. As recently as I was watching that eighth movie, I'll never forget what cracked me up, maybe the most was the Dem's fake boob story. Yeah, I mean, that killed me. That absolutely killed me when you told that story. Yeah, and I mean, it was just one of those moments where the planets line up, and I turned around and in my best Darth Vader voice, said, yes, ma'am, they are, but I'm trying to grow my own as fast as I can. and that's when the email that's when the email came in from matt saying
Starting point is 02:56:55 I understand for I too am an SLW and there was like all these dots I had to scroll scroll scroll and then eventually I see suspiciously large woman and died and I mean just fell apart I guess you'd say it's unprofessional, but Jesus Christ, if you can't laugh. Yeah. I think we all got a crack in that night. That was a night he suggested you could be like when Robin Williams and Miss Doubtfire when the guy's chasing after not realizing you're a man and she yells back, back off her soul. Yeah. Oh, it was a drive-by fruiting.
Starting point is 02:57:39 I love that line. I love that line from Mrs. Downfield. The drive-by-fruiting is still, when I hear, I cry tears. That is fucking funny. You're right, Robin. That's classic. And then Joey gave you an SSW license plate as well. Yeah, and I've still got that.
Starting point is 02:57:56 I can't remember whether it was in the chat room here or was the early Tom Hartman chat room. Does anybody remember a me gint as a chat room name? Yes. I remember who that was, too. He lived in the Berkeley area, took classes at, UC Berkeley, was in a wheelchair, a motorized wheelchair, and I met up with him personally at a Democratic State Convention in Sacramento. And that was where I got my autograph copy of Bernie Sanders
Starting point is 02:58:39 the speech. It's just the guy who had Mercedes as the helper? Because he's long since dead, unfortunately. He died a few years ago. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. He's long gone. But I couldn't remember whether it was in this chat room or I think he was also in Tom Hartman's chat room back in the day. Was that Larry? Yeah, Larry. Yeah, Larry. Larry. And I helped him.
Starting point is 02:59:06 He was having the most difficult time in the world trying to get through an Algebra 1 class at UC Berkeley. And I spent hours and hours and hours with him in the chat room. and on the telephone at one point, trying to help him with his homework and get him to pass the class. And he finally passed the algebra class, and that made him ever so happy. But a hell of a nice guy, just a really nice guy. Yeah, and one of the things I remember about Larry the most
Starting point is 02:59:40 is that he chased down Representative Barbara Lee at that same convention you're talking about. And secure, and hand-delivered her a copy of the air. ACAC. And she and extracted from her a promise that she would sign on and co-sponsor the ACAC.
Starting point is 03:00:01 And I thought that was one of the most profound things anybody had ever done. Well, that was also the convention where Gavin Newsom began to recognize me, clear down the hallway and put his fingers up in an X sign because he didn't want to talk to me again.
Starting point is 03:00:22 I was harassing the shit out of him. He would not come up. This is before he was ever governor. He was just an up-and-coming candidate-type person. And up in Humboldt County, we had a hell of a time getting people to come up big names to our annual fund raiser, which was the Humboldt County Democrat of the year. and I kept trying to get him to come up and every time I went to a state convention
Starting point is 03:00:55 I'd harass him about God damn it he's got to come up to Humboldt County one of these days he never did show up but I think he shot himself in the foot in regard to any kind of higher ambition because of his opposition
Starting point is 03:01:16 to Proposition 40 on this year's ballot That's the billionaire tax, Bill, initiative. That's not going to pass. That's not going to pass anyway, Roger. Well, it should, and 41 and 42 could get shot down. It's only like 200 people in the state that are going to get taxed, and they're spending more money against Proposition 40 than they'd owe in taxes.
Starting point is 03:01:47 Yeah, penny wise and pound foolish. Well, it's the principal, Roger. They don't want to pay a goddamn time. They want it all. But how stupid can the people of California be when 99% of the people wouldn't be affected by the tax at all? That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 03:02:07 Well, but understand this, Roger. It's those wonderful, benevolent, rich people who are given jobs to people and allowing them to eat. Yeah. by putting robots on the on the Amazon fulfillment warehouse. Yeah. Right. Right.
Starting point is 03:02:28 It's not true, but that's the way they'll frame it. I just voted the other day and I got my ballot, my signature approved, which is a no mean feat for a blind person like me. And I saw a similar ballot measure in Washington. And I also saw an anti-trans measure. Washington, which I fucking voted no one. I was going to ask. Good for you. Thank you. On behalf of the trans population of the state of Washington, thank you.
Starting point is 03:03:00 Although that thing has a terrifying chance of passing. It's disgusting. There's also a voter ID bill in California that's on the ballot, which I think it's 30. obviously voted against that. Let's not forget about Robert Lottie as well. Oh, no, Bob. Yeah. Yeah. Bless his heart. We lost him in the period. he passed away, too. And then, and then a few years later got news that he had passed. He was a great guy. I still have his, I still have his recipe for from scratch sweet potato pie. And oh my God,
Starting point is 03:03:40 is it good. Didn't, didn't you, I think you and I talked about it. It was like with white sweet potatoes and brandy and stuff. Yes, that's the one. Sounds delicious. Oh, it's magnificent. Just the right time of year for it, too. Speaking of which, and you never know what you're, you never want to know if there's anything to some of this shit you see on social media. I've been seeing a bunch of reels, and I don't know if anybody else has, you know, we're foodies, of people making like a soup inside a hollowed out pumpkin. Anybody else seen that?
Starting point is 03:04:21 I've seen it a couple of times just today. You basically, you take, you know, you cut out the top where the stem is. You clean out the pumpkin of the seeds. You want the flesh still there. You fill it with onions and carrots and potatoes and celery and chicken and seasonings. And then you rub the whole thing down with oil and roasted in the oven on a roasting pan. And for like, with the lid, you know, with the lid back on the pumpkin, you roasted it like 350 degrees for I'm not sure how long.
Starting point is 03:04:59 And then the after video shows a really nice looking soup. And you scoop the pumpkin out along as you're taking the soup, as you're ladling out the soup. And if this is actually a thing, it looks freaking delicious. And you could probably make it for, pretty cheap, which is a big thing now that we have to choose another protein. Thank you, Cindy Hyde Smith. God, I hope Scott Collum wins in Mississippi. Shit, I'd rather choose another center. Woo! Love that ad. But we've come to the end of the program. So thanks everybody.
Starting point is 03:05:40 On this particular day, thanks to so many people. And, you know, we'll take note. We'll take stock each and every year. but, you know, as Dave in the Blind said, the horn is old enough to drink now. I may have to keep a close eye on the network. It may wander out. Well, no. Yeah. But thanks for joining in this little birthday remembrance,
Starting point is 03:06:09 and don't forget, er. But thanks to each and every one of you who share your precious finite time engaging in the program in whatever manner you choose. Thanks to all of you who've been there for so very long, and I hope we'll continue to be here with us. Spread the word. We're still here, and we're still doing things that nobody else does, and we're talking about things and getting things right
Starting point is 03:06:38 that no one even thinks about, like that, you know, Michigan. He's a jihadist. Yeah. But thanks. And thanks to our challenge makers and challenge respondents. Thank you so much, Ralph. Thank you so very much indeed for the challenge.
Starting point is 03:06:57 And thanks to our respondents who helped to finish it. Thanks to our a la carte contributors. Thank you, Rob, earlier this evening. Starting point is 03:07:50 Thanks for sharing the show over on your stream. at YouTube APS Radio News. Thank you, Brother Deacon, Asa, the Camel Cardinal. Not just a technical advisor, not just the guy who runs the website, but in many ways, the Horn's very own archivist. Thanks for that fantastic memory, Brother Deacon. If you can leave us a comment, a remark, a review on the podcast, it does help. It makes a big difference.
Starting point is 03:08:30 It would make a huge difference if everybody could jump in there and do that. It would be wonderful. Thanks, Emily, for the intro. Thanks to the hardest working, bravest people I know, the folks at Coal River Mountain Watch, CRMW.net over a quarter century at the forefront of the struggle for human rights and environmental justice in Appalachia at a proud union shop. I mention them with every program
Starting point is 03:08:55 because the work they do isn't well known, but they are well known to the coal industry because they are fierce and unrelenting. Like I said, a proud union shop. So stay safe, everybody. If you're looking for something to follow over the weekend, And it looks like they're ramped, they've already ramped up the disenfranchisement of Minnesota's voters who elected Ilhan Omar.
Starting point is 03:09:26 That may be the big stink over the weekend for the, the Sunday meet the prostitutes, farts, the nation type shows. Yeah. But stay safe. And of course if nitwit Nero comes towards you, saying, Ert. Avoid him like the plague and know that that day may not be far in the future. And always, always, always, Wayne and Gina, it's all for you. Have a great weekend, everybody.
Starting point is 03:10:07 Later. Er.
