Episode Date: August 28, 2026

This Reaper 2nd Class is a real screw-up, This time, the order was "Take the octogenarian war criminal." Swing-and-a-miss on that, too. He's never gonna earn his sickle at this rate. And then, in the ...land of the living, there's Ricky Schroeder. What a monumental ASS.  Do we really believe the Head Spook went to Mother Russia to warn his Spook Counterpart not to invade a NATO country? How does that make any sense?  Cankles Caligula goes on (another) renaming binge. Over in THE Buckeye State, Amy Acton's gone MAGA-Lite while a hundred thousand Ohioans have lost healthcare thanks the MAGATs.

Starting point is 00:00:04 The password is inept. It's showtime. Here we go, live from behind the corn phone curtain. It's head-on with Roxanne Kincaid. Three hours of cussin and discussing with America's only liberal transbilly elitist right here, right now, on the head-on radio network.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Brought to you in part by Cole River Mountain Watch, who invites you to be part of the uprising against mountaintop removal, CRMW.net. And now, from high in the hills of West by God, Virginia, here she is. Roxanne Kincaid. Well, howdy. And here we go, off and running on this 27th day of August, 2006. This is the horn.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Hat on dot live is where you'll find us on the interweb tubes. That's where you go. We'd like to be part of the Mary Wacky Zaney Real Time Madcap Multimedia. extravaganza that is the horn chat room, the three in hours in which this program is live, Mudithra Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 2 to 5 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time, all-time zones in between, and the Great Globe round, and whatever time it is when you're listening to the podcast, and if you are a member of the podcasting contingent of the Horn family community congregation, first of all, let me thank you ever so kindly for sharing your precious finite time
Starting point is 00:02:02 with us in that fashion. And if you could join other members of the podcasting contingent in leaving a remark, review, comment, then it would be very, very helpful as we go about the business of trying to meet new friends. new neighbors, invite more folks to the conversation. Yeah, that would be great. And if you're listening live, well, thanks so much for joining us that way. We've got three hours of cussing and discussing this Thornin'n-the-side Thursday afternoon. And, well, there's a lot of it.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Let's take Every program here at the Horn begins with gratitude, and this program is no different. So consequently, thanks go out to our 27th day of the month subscribers and contributors via PayPal. And what that means is thank you to Daryl in Houston. Thank you, Daryl, so very kindly.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Thank you for being a partial sponsor of the program. What's? The brother Deakin has a message. You need to start a spreadsheet to keep track of them open sesame. Your repeat passwords is getting rather long in the tooth. I didn't realize inept was a repeat password.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I am not going to start a password spreadsheet. Look, it's, I'm just not. But the fact of the matter is when it fits, it fits, and at least I'm not out here doing Caligula's favorite password or passphrase in his case. I'm not sure if it's Suetonius or who reported that
Starting point is 00:04:31 went on campaign. He liked to make the pass code, give us a kiss. so that anyone entering the Roman castra or opidum would have to look at the guardian at the gate and say, come on now, love, give us a kiss. Because, of course, we all know that all Romans spoke in British accents. So I don't know. Really, that's, I didn't realize I'd used an app before.
Starting point is 00:05:13 but if the foo shits, that's another terrible joke out there. We'll leave that alone. But no, where we are for funding the program, we are at $1945, $1,945. And what that means is that basically we are behind by this entire week and Monday, plus $145 of last Friday. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Let's shoot for maybe trying to raise $4.45 this afternoon. That would get us all of last Friday and all of this past Monday so that we'd at least be looking at only finishing the month like five days behind. which would be helpful. So thank you. But as for the password, Inept, I don't think you can really argue with me about that, you Camel Cardinal U.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Because Inept refers to this, what, B-Team member of the Grim Reaper bunch? We started out a couple of days ago saying, and 80-year-old with a blonde wig and big boobs and stupid little bastard got in this dolly. And then yesterday we said, get that annoying 80-year-old from Home Alone, too, and he got Tim Curry.
Starting point is 00:07:04 So I don't know about you. Today, I was, listen, just get the octogenarian war criminal. And, well, here we are. the the slaughterer of Sarajevo and Srebrenica, Ratko Mladic, has died at 84 years old in the Hague, and also known as the butcher of Bosnia.
Starting point is 00:07:33 He went up for life in prison. Oh, consequences. He faced consequences, y'all. He was held accountable as a war criminal. and began spending the rest of his life at the Hague in 2017. He was tried and convicted, fully and fairly, and wound up doing life for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, for what he did between the years 1992 and 1995
Starting point is 00:08:09 in the wars that followed the breakup of the former Yugoslav. He oversaw the killing of more than 10,000 people in Sarajevo. Under his orders, he massacred 8,000 men and boys in Srebrenica. And, well, how about a million dead under Nitwit Nero of COVID? How about the piracy on the high seas that has seen the slaughter of innocence? who were not notorious drug runners. How about the murder of 200 little girls in Iran? And he tried to get out on humanitarian relief,
Starting point is 00:09:16 Blodich did, back in May. And the judge at that point in time said, Well, yes, his condition is dire, but he's getting comprehensive and compassionate treatment. And, well, in the will-known words of Jesse Lee Peterson, he did. Oh, dear, hang on just a second. Stand-by, please. Anytime one of my kids calls, I mean, they know what time I'm on the air, except that, well, one of my kids is in the Mountain Daylight Time Zone and was, picking up my grandson from school and didn't realize that, well, that 3.14 p.m. hers was 5.14 p.m. mine, so I took the call because, you know, anybody would do that.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Anyway, yeah, this B-Team Grim Reaper, instead of taking out the octogenarian war criminal, we all know and despise, took out a different one instead. I forgot that there was more than one octogenarian war criminal. But honest to God, this is turning into something like, I don't know, what, it's a wonderful life if Tim Burton directed it. It's, you know, the nightmare before the wonderful life or something like that. You remember Clarence, Angel's second class who had to say, save George Bailey in order to get his wings.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Well, apparently, apparently this is a grim reaper second class who won't be able to get his scythe or his sickle until such time as he gets the right one. And he's, and it's one, two, three strikes here out at the old ball game. No singing, Roxanne. So, well, Ratko Miladich has left the planet and is, if you believe in that sort of thing, is now spending the rest of all eternity in hell. And that's fine.
Starting point is 00:12:26 But wrong octogenarian war criminal, you dumbass Reaper second class. It's so hard to get good help these days. Sheesh. But that's just the starting place, because it is Thorn Inside Thursday, and we've got a... Ace is correct. You used it twice last week alone.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Inept? I did. I don't pay attention. I'm glad y'all do, though. That's fun. But as Lee and New York points out, passwords can be repeated. The importance of password security
Starting point is 00:13:16 is for keeping people out. Obligatory who frame project rabbit reference to enter the link and the ink and paint club, the password was Walt sent me. Uh-huh. But then again, I'm not going to feel bad about it. Because there's plenty of ineptitude to go around. And, yeah, another octogenarian gone today.
Starting point is 00:13:56 generations of children grieving the passing of Peter Cullen none other than the voice of Optimus Prime sad business and well other things to go into let's deal with that well okay no this first
Starting point is 00:14:33 you remember the reflecting pool because I remember the reflecting pool just like, well, with the Kennedy Center, the reflecting pool there in Washington, D.C. has had to be covered with an emotional support tarp. And apparently now, oh, geez, it's, the ridiculousness marches on. In this case, it's a matter of, big chunks of loose blue pool sealant while power washing the basin of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Video captured at the time shows the workers just peeling up the sealant in vast chunks. Huh Where's Juice Vox Janine Piro when you need her? The workers could be seen pulling up flaps of the American flag blue liner with their bare hands while scraps of damaged sealant
Starting point is 00:16:04 were jostled loose by the power washer. What a bunch of fuck-ups. I mean, really? Are the workers going to be charged with vandalism, too? God. Well, thanks for Thanks for bringing that to our attention, Ralphs.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Rouse has put a $25 challenge on the table. Thank you, Routes. And if someone has $25, Routes will turn it into $50 for you. And we'll get down to, what, $1895? $1895, and that'll put us at only $95 away from just being this week and this coming Monday as far as the funding debt. deficit is concerned. Thank you, Ralphs. Thank you. Uh, the, uh, uh, and apparently, uh, he's tacoed again with his, uh, Canadian, uh, trade war.
Starting point is 00:17:19 But of course, nitwit Nero also held a ceremony today to say, I've renamed Lake Ontario to Lake America. How does he think this works on? does he think that Canada named Lake Ontario after the province of Ontario? Does he think that Ontario is some sort of secret, I don't know, French-Canadian word? God. Like so much as so many places in North America, Ontario is, isn't that an indigenous language word? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Because I feel like it is. I don't know, but if you go on Google Maps and look at the Gulf of Mexico, it's called the Gulf of America now, so no one stood up to this orange tyrant yet in any meaningful way. Thanks for collaborating and knuckling under and being a quizzling Google. Gosh, I'm so old I can remember when their motto, was don't be evil. But back to the reflecting pool for just a moment.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Lee in New York points out, isn't that where nitwit Nacho Niro has had his indie-style car race? I believe the beast went through before the race. Well, that was his own little Mario cart. Yeah, back then. Some, I think we counted, when we ran the video, I think we counted something like 11-plus heavy vehicles driving over the style. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Jeremy says you're correct. The lake and Ontario, the province, are named after native languages. I thought so. I mean, considering all over North America, you turn around. Oh, look, it's an indigenous word for a place, and we ran the indigenous people out,
Starting point is 00:20:02 just thinking about here and low, lovely, almost level West by Cold Trump, Genia Stan. We have the Monongahela River. It joins the Susquehanna River, neither of which are from European languages, to form the Ohio River. That's West Virginia's River, by the way. All of which are indigenous words.
Starting point is 00:20:31 I've always heard that Ohio means beautiful river, Yeah. Then a little further south, we've got the Little Canoa and the Great Canoa rivers here in West Virginia. The G-A-U-L-E-Y river. And, of course, there's the Tennessee, the Missouri, the Mississippi. It goes on and on and on. Yeah. Lee tells me Ontario is a term thought to have indigenous origins, either Ontario, Huron,
Starting point is 00:21:14 wyandot word meaning Great Lake, or possibly Scanadario, which means beautiful water or sparkling water, in the Haudenosaunee, one of the Haudenosaunee Confederation languages. Uh-huh. Well, Nitwit Nero thinks, yeah. You take that, you Canobeyans. Yeah, it's just enduring the stupidity of this deeply intellectually damaged man, and I've submitted all along that he has had cognitive damage and delay from the moment that he emerged.
Starting point is 00:22:10 from his mother into this world. I even, oh, come on, Lee, I spelled it even. The G-A-U-L-E-Y river. No, no, not the G-O-L-L-Y river. And there's a mountain above it, Gawley Mountain. In fact, I live on Gawley Mountain,
Starting point is 00:22:34 or a plateau adjacent to it. It's a, uh, mm-hmm. And that would probably, I don't know whose language that, would be, possibly Shawnee, maybe. But at any rate, yeah, God, he's stupid. And is it possible for somebody who's entirely washed up to be a has-been to commit career suicide? I saw this earlier today.
Starting point is 00:23:17 and it served, it qualified as a bona fide Thorne for Thorn in the Side Thursday. Okay, show of hands, when is the last time anybody in the Horn family community congregation thought about Ricky Schroeder? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? Well, I guess at one point in time, he, he was. He was a member of the cast of NYPD Blue, maybe back when NYPD Blue was teetering along on its last legs after,
Starting point is 00:24:06 oh, who was it, David Caruso, left the, was that who it was? God, bless America, that was the early 90s. Child Star, I guess. Well, Ricky Schroeder wanted to make sure that everybody knew. that he was undeniably, completely, totally, utterly, and unquestionably. Well, what's that, Professor Spicoli? You dick! You dick!
Starting point is 00:24:45 You dick! You dick! Yeah. Now, why would I say something so harsh? Well, it's not without reason. Apparently, with the passing of Queen Dolly and, uh, and, uh, and, uh, I'm not, you know, it's, it's not without reason. Dolly, and I guess the word has come out since that she had a brief battle with some form of cancer. Gosh.
Starting point is 00:25:22 Desperate to remind the world that he is in fact a miserable shithead, or as Professor Spicoli puts it, a dick. Ricky Schroeder decided to unburden himself of his thoughts upon the passing of Dolly while the rest of us were actually grieving this little shithead was trying to
Starting point is 00:26:01 draw attention to himself on Instagram late Wednesday he posted, I warned Dolly not to support the experiment. He capitalized E in experiment. It wasn't an experiment. He was talking about the vaccine.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Dolly gave a million dollars to Vanderbilt University to help develop the modernid vaccine that alongside the Pfizer vaccine saved millions of lives. But again, well, Ricky Schroeder is a shit weasel. So he even used a clip of Dolly talking about giving money to support research for the COVID vaccine and said,
Starting point is 00:27:06 I wish she'd listened. And put up a frowny face emoji He runs an outfit called Real American Heroes. Why has Budweiser not sued him for that? R-E-E-L American Heroes, that's fine. But he wasn't done, Ricky Schroeder. Jesus, I... Ricky, I hope you can't even get cast in a fucking hemroid...
Starting point is 00:27:55 Hemroyd cream commercial. Although that would be about the most... appropriate thing for you at this point. I didn't agree with her advocating for transgender and COVID vaccine support, but loved her anyway. Thank you for choosing me, Dolly, to be your movie, Daddy. Oh, Jesus, God, it just gets grosser. She gave the down-and-out actor work on
Starting point is 00:28:33 Dolly Parton's coat of many colors in 2015 and Dolly Parton's Christmas of many colors Circle of Love in 2016 and no good deed goes unpunished. Bless her heart and I always think of Bart Kopp when I see her name. Shirley Manson of the band Garbage responded, Fuck off, Ricky Schroeder!
Starting point is 00:29:10 Sometimes if you want to, if you want to maybe evade the sensors on social media. Some of us use capital F, capital O, capital A, capital D. Just foe Rkey Schroeder, the first two are fuck off. The A and the D, I will leave to you. And I guess he's a Scott Bayo wannabe or something. He's a total right-wing. piece of shit.
Starting point is 00:29:55 He thought he was being clever, showing an AI image earlier on his social media playing on DSA and said it stands for demonic socialists of America. And
Starting point is 00:30:17 I don't even understand what this slur is. One of the caricatures in the in the of the liberals was holding a cup that was labeled gay dust. What? Huh?
Starting point is 00:30:48 And, of course, he was all but hurt because Dolly supported. What Dolly said all along was that she had people from all walks of life in her organization. And that she loved each and to everyone and loved every person for who, they are where they are and made her an absolute icon royalty to millions
Starting point is 00:31:18 of members of marginalized communities I know for a fact that she had trans people trans women on her staff down in East Tennessee the LGBT plus community writ large adored her because
Starting point is 00:31:43 because she refused to treat people as anything other than the human beings that they are. But, of course, that's deeply offensive to Ricky Schroeder. Oh, God, well, thank you for that, Jude. I didn't know that. He was also a supporter of the killer Kyle Rottenhouse, the 17-year-old who strutted at a demonstration with an assault rifle and murdered a defenseless protester if my memory doesn't fail me jude says i was an nypd blue fan never missed an episode but after seeing schroeder i left his run alone on that series don't blame you over at the gay and lesbian alliance against defamation their ceo sara kate ellis
Starting point is 00:32:37 said dolly was the queen of inclusivity and philanthropy and in the last couple of days a clip of Dolly has been going around saying, well, if you're gay, you're gay. If you're straight, you're straight. You should be allowed to be how you are and who you are. I keep saying, well, if you define Christian like you think you are, why are you judging people? That's God's job. Ooh, the maggot Christians hate it when their own Christianity gets shown to be the charnel house that it is. She said, we're supposed to be. to love one another and we're supposed to not judge. Well, Ricky Schroeder, how can I put this in a ladylike fashion?
Starting point is 00:33:34 Go fuck yourself with a 20-foot-long desiccated cactus. There, that's about as lady-like as I can be in this circumstance. No. I think you're thinking of Jim Neighbors and Gomer Pyle. Well, golly, Sergeant Carter. But, no, it's the G-A-U-L-E-Y and has nothing to do with Southern exclamations. Like so many words, we can only guess it as meaning. But knowing the gauly for what it is, I'm guessing it's, it may be an old indigenous word for,
Starting point is 00:34:29 for the love of fuck, don't go down that thing in a canoe. because, well, we're in the middle of, or we'll be soon, we're in the middle of what's called gauly season around here when people come from all over the world to shoot the rapids. When water is released from Somersville Dam, which was built on a little community, it flooded it, a little community called GAD, and they were going to name it for the town that was flooded,
Starting point is 00:35:03 but then they realized it would be gaddam, and so it became Somersville Dam. But they released the water from Somersville Lake, and it creates just this boiling whitewater experience. And like I said, people come from the world over to shoot those rapids in rafts, kayaks and the like. Not me, though. I'm very happy staying on dry land.
Starting point is 00:35:40 We'll leave the white water to the more adventuresome folks. And it's not big news much of any... It's not big news anywhere else but here, but the coal company in Boone County has said that they're shutting down forever and for good in October, 71,000. people uh 71 people are
Starting point is 00:36:22 out of out of work gosh I mean my heart goes out to them it's terrifying to be facing something like that especially with you know winter coming on in October
Starting point is 00:36:38 nice timing coal company assholes but it reminded me of something nitwit Niro once said yeah in 1990 he gave an interview to Playboy magazine. You know, I always only read it.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I only always bought Playboy for the high-quality journalism. I mean, Hunter S. Thompson, you know, all kinds of great writers. And I think Kurt Vonnegut published there, great articles. But in that, it, it. In that article back in 1990, he bragged that deal-making was his canvas. And I like painting it. I like to challenge and tell the story of the coal-miner's son. The coal-miner gets black-lung disease.
Starting point is 00:37:37 His son gets it. Then his son. If I'd been the son of a coal-miner, I would have left the damn minds, but most people don't have the imagination or whatever to leave their mind. They don't have it. And of course, back in 1990, the it he was probably referring to was the willingness to, you know, rape a 13-year-old little girl. And, no, most of the coal miners I know don't want to do something like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:15 They don't have it. And then in 2016, he shows up in Charleston, West Virginia, puts on a hard hat. and pantomimes loading coal with a shovel when the vast majority of the coal miners who showed up to bark and grunt and hoot for him hadn't used a shovel at work since well maybe their grandfathers or great-grandfathers did God knows my grandfather did
Starting point is 00:38:44 Jesus it's thorn in the side Thursday yeah I know Jeremy I am I'm just a whim You won't even jump off a perfectly good bridge on Bridge Day and try a good old bungee jump. How many times do I have to tell you they parachute off of the bridge? They don't bungee off of it. It's almost like nobody actually listens to what I say sometimes. And by the way, just as an aside, I'm glad you all enjoyed last night's conversation with,
Starting point is 00:39:26 ah, ha, ha, Fred, as much as I do, did. I want to give a shout out to Tristan, who sorted out who he thinks Fred was, and it's the same person I think Fred was. Yeah. All those checks and money orders rolling in. I think you're absolutely right, Tristan. And some of you who have listened to the program for a very long time.
Starting point is 00:40:04 might also know. Billable wrote in after the program last night, and I wrote back to him and told him who my guess was. But, well, we don't get them very often, but they are fun to play with sometimes.
Starting point is 00:40:25 It's terribly easy. Lee in New York, noting, gaddam, that's funny enough for a rom-alama ding-dong. Well, it is. is, but it's also true. A lot of little communities were drowned when they created Somersville Lake behind Somersville Dan.
Starting point is 00:40:50 In fact, I always think of the creation of the lake when any time I watch, Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou? One of my favorite films, and probably the funniest take on Homer's Odyssey that's ever been made. Yeah. And yeah, thanks for reminding me, Jeremy. It bears mention, Jeremy said, don't forget the natural disaster
Starting point is 00:41:20 playing out in Nepal today as they recover from the massive... Jeremy says mudslide, I would say flood, that at last count, has killed hundreds and hundreds more missing. Yeah, a huge chunk of glacier calved off in what? The Himalayas?
Starting point is 00:41:46 And it slid down the mountain and blocked a river. It dammed up a river. And then when the river overtopped, a wall of water went rushing down the valley, scrubbing everything alive in its path. People in Nepal and in occupied Tibet scrambled to get to higher ground, but oh so many didn't.
Starting point is 00:42:20 In the coverage that I heard earlier today, everyone who talked about it said, well, yeah, the thing is, it happened, and it's going to happen again, and it's going to happen more frequently, and whoever the fellow was at BBC World Service said, Oh, and why on earth is that? Knowing the answer and the answer came back,
Starting point is 00:42:43 well, because of climate change. The glaciers can't survive the increased heat. But of course, here in Merca, the greatest country in the history of the world on Earth now today, forever in the universe under God, amen. Well, we don't got snow climate change, because, well, Canckel's Collegula done outlawed the climate change as a part of the DEI and the ESGM and the CRT. And so we won't have none of that until the next cat, well, until we have to invent a cat six for hurricanes when the next one of those comes along and slams the living shit out of some portion of the East Coast or the Gulf Coast.
Starting point is 00:43:35 I don't know. The goddess of irony, you might, you know, goddess, and I don't know if this qualifies as a prayer or anything, but you know how, you know how Nitwit Nero likes to use his Sharpie and tell stories about the Sharpie? I said to the guy at Sharpie, I said, I love your pins, but I can't be using some plain old gray pen because I'm presidenting.
Starting point is 00:44:12 And so the Sharpie guy, the president of Sharpie, he said, oh, sir, he said, sir, we can definitely make you nicer Sharpies. Back when he said that, people checked in with the company that makes Sharpies, and they said, we have no fucking idea what that, what that dementia patient is babbling about. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that, no, that conversation never took place. What? But, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:48 But you know, goddess, you know how he likes to take his Sharpie? And he likes to, like, retract hurricanes and stuff with his Sharpie. All I'm saying, your divine mischievousness, is maybe take your own Sharpie and draw a little bull's eye right on top of Magaloko. Maybe some sustained winds of 300 miles an hour or so for all 24, 48 hours. Yeah. send salt water all the way up inland and absolutely soak his greens at Durow and Maga Loco so that it'll be a long time before any of that fancy golfing grass grows there again. Your divine ironicalness, maybe think about that.
Starting point is 00:45:57 not you know and but make sure everybody else is okay just flatten maga loco how about that that'd be lovely yes whee Lib Talker announces
Starting point is 00:46:17 that she's actually a witch for the goddess of irony yeah what a day and they really are a gang of unrepent and fuck-ups
Starting point is 00:46:50 because they all have to spend their time. Every cabinet secretary has to spend their time pleasing daddy and so over at the Department of
Starting point is 00:47:14 Miseducation headed up by that lady from the the Rasselin world, Linda McMahon, who is a party defendant in ongoing lawsuits over rampant sexual abuse inside her and her ex-husband. Ex-husband? Rasselan Empire. Well, Wednesday, yesterday, they posted a clip over at the Department of Miseducation. From the movie Darkest Hour.
Starting point is 00:47:58 I've seen it. It's a good movie. Gary Oldman plays Churchill to a T. And what they decided to select was the clip of Churchill saying, You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth. Uh-huh. and the video then shows clips of nitwit Nero, grinning like a fox-eating shit out of a wire brush and waving to the adoring maggot faithful,
Starting point is 00:48:42 meaning not that Nittwit Nero is Churchill, but that Nittwit Nero is a tiger, And at the top of the post, it said, no one does it like us. They posted all this over on what used to be Twitter. And it immediately drew a community note saying, quote, this clip is from the film Darkest Hour, and the Tiger in this clip refers to Adolf Hitler. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:49:30 So, in essence, Nitwit Nero's Department of Education is comparing him to that little Austrian corporal. So is the theme song of the department, the maggot Department of Education, don't know much about history. Don't know nobody. Yeah, they have to constantly prop up his non-existent masculinity. At least it's pathetically funny. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Oh, and we have a Frau Engram sighting. Yeah, yeah, and yami. She got big mad last night. at the so-called Republican consultant class. Well, shit, Laura, they've been winning elections. Our consultant class over among the Democrats gets paid a shit ton of money and doesn't even have to win. And then they get to go on TV and talk about what the Democrats need to do. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:51:25 But she's feeling a might, well, she's feeling a mite, antsy over what she sees in the way of handwriting on the wall come November. You know, if nitwit Nero doesn't just attack every polling place with his ice goons and bugs. Take it away, throughout Engelham I disagree with the conventional wisdom
Starting point is 00:51:57 I think you have to hammer them every single day until November cannot wait these consultants drive me nuts okay
Starting point is 00:52:05 they fly around in private jets they collect a huge amount of money and I think they're lying to these Republican candidates
Starting point is 00:52:11 this is going to be a brutal cycle Republicans might pull it out we all hope they do but they have got to hammer
Starting point is 00:52:19 that they're coming for you your money, your gas-powered car, your air conditioner, everything you love, your private health insurance, and they're going to... Wait, what about your gas stove, Laura? God, Proud Engram! You left out one of those things that the dirty socialists are coming after. God damn, tie-dye wearing hippies.
Starting point is 00:52:40 Take it from you. Period. End of story. I'm sorry, I'm getting mad, but... I mean, I guess I should be a consultant or something. I don't know. Go ahead, Adam. Yeah, fuck right off, Frow Englum. You should be a consultant. I think you already are. Uh-huh. Out there barking and grunting and being a good little fascist such as you are.
Starting point is 00:53:14 And apparently over on the maggot side, they're every bit as pissed that Jared Kushner met with Hakeem Jeffries as we are, that Hakeem Jeffries met with Jared Kushner. They see it as some sort of white. flag of surrender. Whereas we see it as Apak Shakur just doing what he does. Did you know we're in a national emergency?
Starting point is 00:53:49 I didn't until I was reading earlier today. I sincerely did not. Yeah, we're in a national emergency because of an executive order, which has almost no meaning whatsoever at this point, the security, integrity, and reliability of electrical equipment
Starting point is 00:54:19 in the bulk power system. And according to this, you're already putting two and two together, aren't you? Yeah, because I am. according to the Maggot or White House there's unusual and extraordinary foreign threats
Starting point is 00:54:43 to the United States involving bulk power systems produced abroad that may present national security vulnerability you know he couldn't write the word vulnerabilities
Starting point is 00:54:58 if you spotted him everything everything but the V God and so certain foreign produced bulk power system equipment are banned from being brought into the country
Starting point is 00:55:20 including associated critical software and digital capabilities that could pose cybersecurity or operational risks because it didn't get a lot of coverage but we got to live in shit hacked out of us in the last few days all kinds of different governmental agencies and departments
Starting point is 00:55:43 because, well, we Leon Scum and his army of little Cheeto dust-covered in cells got rid of a lot of those folks. And speaking of which, on one of the final nights that Leon Scum spent in the White House, we don't know if he brought his ketamine with him. He threw a boozy bash for his top Cheeto dust-covered in cells using Tesla branded Mexican gasoline.
Starting point is 00:56:34 That's the closest that electric swastikar will ever get to gasoline. The bottle is shaped like a lightning bolt. Ha! I wonder what happens if you put two of those lightning bolt-shaped bottles together. Anybody? And he had a dozen of his Cheeto dust-covered in-cell buddies in his little West Wing office in May of 2025. Former Doge aide, dodgy aide, Tyler Hassan has a memoir coming up called. called, well, I don't see the title, but the book claims,
Starting point is 00:57:25 even great tequila, oh, please, as if Leon Scum could figure out great tequila. Curiously, you know, that's just how the goddess of irony works. Here we are on this little program in the last day or so, talking about the soaring prices of booze. and I mentioned the 1990s when tequila prices shot through the roof and people started talking about tequila the way they previously talked about $400 bottles of scotch. Not dissing tequila, it's a magnificent exemplar of its art when it's good, and that is to say when it's not quervo.
Starting point is 00:58:09 But the book says, even great tequila couldn't mask the change in the room and they had a big sad because lawmakers were undoing some of what they had did and it was the same day that Leon Scum and Space Nazi and Treasury Secretary Scott Besant almost got in a seventh grade slap fight and just a few days later it was a goodbye Leon Why don't you fly home on one? Why don't you fly home on one of your little dick rockets, Leon Skum?
Starting point is 00:59:00 And the poor little dweeb says that he froze seeing messages from his chito dust-covered insil colleagues and said his stomach was in knots and sweat forming as his enthusiasm for dodgy sank to its lowest point. It had been a goodbye, he said of the tequila, even if none of them realized it at the time. Jesus. Tesla tequila? Really? Really?
Starting point is 00:59:46 Tesla tequila? Oh, for pity sakes. Ralph says, I agree with you, Roxanne. Dear goddess, send a hurricane to Bedmonster. Bedminster, but I long ago. rechristened it as bed monster because I'm sure that any
Starting point is 01:00:11 young girl he ever assaulted thinks of him is exactly in exactly those terms right Ralph's emergency emergency Hamburg flat as a pancake I heard the Jeremy says I heard the actual BBC in London
Starting point is 01:00:39 early this morning on the AM band talking about the Nepal disaster It was clear for a few minutes and then gone. Well, they run the BBC World Service at 9 a.m. every day here on West Virginia Public Radio. And the BBC World Service actually seems more cognizant of the fact that there's a whole world out there beyond the United States, and it's kind of nice to get some of that perspective once in a while. Well, about that. Hi Kim, hi Roxanne.
Starting point is 01:01:28 I just turned and tuned in so I don't know if he spoke about this already. Construction at the White House may have contributed to an incident this month in which the president's helicopter came dangerously close to a commercial jet over Washington. According to a new report from the National Transportation Safety Board, we still have one of those? I used to talk to the head of the NTSV all the time back in the late 80s when I was at CNN. According to the report, worked to build a new ballroom at the White House. White House forced officials to move the helicopter's takeoff location temporarily from the south
Starting point is 01:02:00 on to the ellipse, the park south of the White House, but the new location may have been less optimal for communicating with air traffic controllers leading to communication glitches, the report said. I'm not at all surprised because, well, Kim, his pettifoggers sort of tiptoed into the courtroom recently and said, may it please the court? But this is the lawsuit filed by Joyce Beatty, Democrat from Ohio, who was kicked off the board for the Cardinal sin of being black. Yeah, and they tiptoed into court and said, Your Honor, gosh, we may have permanently fucked up the Kennedy Center when we put Daddy's name on it. actually what happened was the plaintiffs in the case made that argument and nitwit Nero's pedigoggers from the DOJ didn't even offer up a stirring,
Starting point is 01:03:19 NU-uh! This all happened with a filing yesterday in the case. Lawyers for Joyce Beatty said, Tellingly, defendants do not dispute that their prior efforts to emblaze in the building with President. in Trump's name may have irrevocably damaged the center's historic marble facade and went on to accuse the maggots of thumbing their nose at the federal judge who said that only John F. Kennedy can be honored at the building based on, you know, the law passed by Congress that says exactly that. Congress gave the Kennedy Center its name and only Congress can change it.
Starting point is 01:04:15 Because what did we have previously? Well, you know, if we don't get to name it after Daddy, we may have to just tear it down. And it's almost like somebody on the legal team listens to this program. In their filing, they also said, In plain English, defendants have not so subtly said, Yeah, what a nice Kennedy center you have there. What a shame should something happen to it. And the lawyers then said this is a breathtaking assault on the rule of law.
Starting point is 01:04:51 it's delusional and it must stop because among other things the maggotsman said oh look all the all the donations have dried up and there won't be any way to take care of it without all the donations well the donations dried up when he started all these goddamn shenanigans trying to make it about him i confess i sort of yearned for a politician just to say publicly hey nitwit nero once you're out of office we're going to scrub your name from everywhere it appears except maybe
Starting point is 01:05:41 a sewage treatment plant who the fuck is Ricky Schroeder says Micah and that right there is the correct answer yes indeed young lady and we are into the second hour of the program. Ralphs has the, oh look, the reflecting pool is still peeling challenge on the table.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Hopefully somebody has 25 bucks that they would like to see Ralph's turn into 50. If you do, hit the PayPal button over at head-on.com. Easy peasy. Much obliged. Or, you know, Venmo Cash app, Patreon, what have you. Thanks in advance. if you do. But I name
Starting point is 01:06:36 checked and conjured Tristan earlier, and let's go over and see what he's got to say. Hey, Tristan, how are you? Well, two shoutouts in two days, Roxanne. I figured I'd make an appearance. Well, you better.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Yeah, exactly. You don't tweak the goddess of irony's pink little tomato nose like that and expect to get away with it. Exactly. Well, I'm okay. I mean, I'm a bit tired, but I'm all right. How are you doing?
Starting point is 01:07:12 I'm okay. I'm grieving the end of summer. Of course, I've been doing that since the first day of summer. As the days grow, I mean, they grow shorter, and I guess my little pineal gland or whatever it is notices it, even if I can't tell it right off the right off. off the top of my head. I sense it.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Me too. Me too. I've definitely felt a lot more lonely these days. And, you know, that's saying something because I live by myself. I did get to enjoy summer. I don't know if you saw, I posted a picture of a little dog that me and my friend met. Oh, I didn't. And my friend and I met. Yeah. He's a nice dog. I didn't see that, but that's sweet.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Yeah. like a Chihuahua wiener dog mix Very old, about 16 years old It was nice Yeah He was a sweet dog He just came hanging Hung out with me and my friend
Starting point is 01:08:19 And And we Yeah we just enjoy it We found a little park Like right across the street From where I live So I'll be heading there more often
Starting point is 01:08:31 Sounds like a good idea It's hard to It's hard to get outside when you have no one to go outside with or nothing to go outside for well and and your particular circumstances make it even more so well yeah i mean you're you're a past master at negotiating these things but it's still it's nice to have a little company yeah no just any for any reason you know any person would want company and like uh i'm i'm i'm food motivated too so there are a couple of restaurants around here that I haven't tried.
Starting point is 01:09:14 But yeah, no, it's good to get out. I do kind of miss not going out as much during this summer, but, you know, the cool thing is that I've been able to really go to town on this channel, the channel that I'm starting. Good. That's a good thing. But yeah, you know, I just did a video about the Lake Ontario nonsense, and, you know, I think, gosh, you know, how to put this, it really makes me think that Natalie is behind it, because I don't know if you saw, but there, This is according to the AP, there was a map on the wall behind Trump while he was signing the executive order.
Starting point is 01:10:23 And it had the Lake America already colored in. Oh, great, yeah. And so, yeah, I just, you know, as much as I talk, it is hard to find. new things to say about an administration that continues to just do things that nobody would have accepted 20 years ago. Welcome to my world. How do you do it? I mean, you know, you do a three-hour show. I do two 10, 20-minute videos a day. Well, it's like what Hemingway once said. Writing's easy. All you have to do is just sit down off the typewriter, open a up a vein and bleed out a pint.
Starting point is 01:11:21 I'm nowhere, I'm nowhere near that, but I start, I literally start processing information the minute my eyes open on any given morning. Victoria could confirm that. I just, and I like to see if a theme emerges or if something just immediately rockets to the top of the list. and then there's always the chance, Tristan, that by the time air time comes around, something horrible will happen,
Starting point is 01:11:54 and all my planning is for naught, and then we have to see how it just all plays out. Yeah, no kidding. I mean, for goodness sake, I've got an RSS reader full of different feeds to different platforms. I've got multiple sources. I have a library subscription now, so I can get access to the,
Starting point is 01:12:17 New York Times for three whole days. Oh, see, I can't. I am poor and paywalled, wherever so many of these publications are concerned. And New York Times, Washington Post, I didn't realize, I guess Rolling Stone has gone behind a paywall. Really? Okay, I didn't know that.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Yeah. Well, I wonder. if I'm assuming West Virginia is civilized enough to have a local library where you are? Well, we do about two miles away. I don't know if they carry
Starting point is 01:13:04 commie publications like the Wapo and the old gray lady, but it might be worth checking. It might be. You know, they should have access to something because a lot of libraries, That's, you know, that's what brings people to the library is that they can, with their cards, they can have digital access to stuff. Like, I can get, yeah, I can get the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and a whole bunch of other stuff with the Seattle Library subscription.
Starting point is 01:13:38 And at least here, you don't even have to have a physical card. If you want one, they'll give one to you, but you don't actually have to have one. Just a login? Yeah, just a number. which is really nice. I mean, I literally got it immediately. I didn't think it was going to happen so quickly, but I applied the other day,
Starting point is 01:14:01 and I just got it right straight out. So given the facts of your life with which you deal, do you prefer audiobooks or braille? Uh, um, I prefer neither one. I have an app called
Starting point is 01:14:23 Voice Dream, which basically allows me to read with screen reader. Just my screen reader on my phone, I can just press play, and it'll read the book to me. Braille is nice. I remember a couple years ago when we first started talking, I was reading Vonnegut in Braille. Oh, that's so cool. Yeah. For some reason or another, I've had I've had Vonnegut very much on the brain of late.
Starting point is 01:14:54 It just feels like this timeline is so absolutely, wearingly stupid that only somebody like Vonnegut really could have processed it. And he unfortunately ain't here. No. Well, it definitely feels like we're...
Starting point is 01:15:15 I don't know if this is the Slaughterhouse Five universe, but it definitely feels like a breakfast of champions kind of universe. Yeah. Or a cat's cradle kind of universe. Yeah, a cat's cradle, right? Yeah. We're all looking for the members of our Khoras. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Because you don't necessarily know someone's in your Karras, and yet they are. They just are. Yeah. Nice, nice, very nice, so many beings in the same device. Yeah, yeah. well you know we uh ice nine is
Starting point is 01:15:55 sounds like our climate it was a very uh stute version of our climate change in sort of the opposite direction yeah in the opposite direction absolutely yeah um yeah i've been thinking of him too
Starting point is 01:16:18 I a last one I read was sirens of Titan and that was a year and a half ago I think. Oddly enough, I've been thinking about Sirens of Titan, too. And you might be interested to know that on one of his albums, Al Stewart has a song called Sirens of Titan,
Starting point is 01:16:39 where he turns that into a cute little ditty. But all the business with rockets and space and someone with just unbelievable amounts of ways, wealth, you know, Malachi Constant. Yep. And finding, and then, spoilers, but then again, come on, who hasn't read this? When Malachi Constant gets off the,
Starting point is 01:17:16 gets off the spaceship on Earth, and they ask him for what he has to say and what he's learned, he says, I was a victim of a series of accidents. as are we all. Yep. That seems to sum it right up. But the other thing is, and maybe it's sort of wish casting, Malachi Constant loses every fucking scent.
Starting point is 01:17:57 Yep. So, maybe. Yeah. Yeah, maybe. There may be. But I, yes, I remember everything that you said. But speaking of audiobooks, you know, you were talking about Tim Curry yesterday. And he narrated some audio books that I liked.
Starting point is 01:18:30 There was a series of unfortunate events, at least the first couple books. I read them in audio. Oh, yeah, yeah, I remember. Yeah. That was fantastic. I remember his delivery was just perfect, and it turned a children's story into a very high-class, you know, a very poetic sort of novel, which, of course, it was, but in somebody else's hands, I don't think it would have done as well. but he also did Christmas Carol Well, did you know that he did a mini-series for the BBC
Starting point is 01:19:20 back in the late 70s in which he played William Shakespeare? I had no idea. And in fact, if I recall correctly, the entire thing is on free to view on YouTube. And it is, shall we say, an extremely homoerotic
Starting point is 01:19:47 sort of soap opera retelling of an idea of what Shakespeare's life was like I see you know I have to check that out I'm sure it's available most things on the BBC are
Starting point is 01:20:04 previewing it's one of the benefits of having a BBC yeah and before before there's any chance that we go there. I had mentioned that at the beginning of the program that you and I are of the same opinion
Starting point is 01:20:21 as to the identity of Fred Ham that intellectual giant don't give it away. No, I wasn't planning to. Okay, I just wanted to make sure.
Starting point is 01:20:40 Yeah, no, no. But I have a high degree of confidence on that. I agree with you. But, you know, discretion is the better part of valor. I don't want to spoil your battle plans. Climb Mount Tanaka. No, stop that.
Starting point is 01:21:00 Yeah. Well, we don't get a lot of those, but that sure was fun, as Nica put it. Well, that was dot, dot, dot. A call. I was fortunate enough to be listening live. I always remember where I was when I heard that call. It's, you know, I mean, those sorts of things do keep the program interesting.
Starting point is 01:21:36 I mean, if you had calls where people agreed with you, that would be kind of boring. I just wish that, I just wish that individual was more coherent because I know the signs, and I don't want to, I won't give that my theory away that I, the theory that I gave to you, the other one. But I think something's there, something, something, something not good. And I hope they're able to get some help. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, I mean, you know, this, this, this is a small program. And I guess you must have said something that...
Starting point is 01:22:30 Oh, he doesn't like that I don't... I don't sufficiently despise people who aren't white. Or don't despise them at all. Right. And so, okay. Why would you... I just wonder why somebody like that would like a program like yours, ever, like, would you ever listen?
Starting point is 01:23:00 I mean, maybe you could, wouldn't, you might not be able to fault him for coming across your program, but like, to call in, if his political opinions were so divergent from yours. Because I'm assuming he listened for quite a while
Starting point is 01:23:18 until, you know, he turned on you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's safe to say. So I just wonder what, what was the initial attraction, I guess. Well, I guess it's, I I don't want to drop any breadcrumbs or anything.
Starting point is 01:23:42 All right. Okay. Yeah, it's, I am uncompromising in my progressive principles. And I don't reserve those principles solely for one group or one skin tone. Right. I see. Okay. Because I've got sort of a unified field theory approach to human rights. I don't see a distinction between, and I mean this in a positive way, I don't see a distinction between the civil rights of people of color and the civil rights of women
Starting point is 01:24:31 and the civil rights of the LGBTQ plus community, the civil rights of regionally marginalized people, whether it be Cancer Alley in Louisiana, or the sacrifice zone in southern West Virginia and much of central Appalachia, they're all rights-based struggles. And in many ways they are the same struggle an identical struggle.
Starting point is 01:25:04 And so the only way to advance them is for all arms to link up. Because as long as people are atomized and just little pockets of resistance here and there, those are easy to crush. Oh, sure. But as Gandhi said, first they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. and it seems like that's applicable to every rights-based struggle with which we have contended. Absolutely. And it amazes me that there are so many people these days who are still willing to be divisive of their fellow human beings. And, you know, we all have our moments.
Starting point is 01:26:02 nobody's perfect but you know the so-called unregulated laissez-faire capitalistic nonsense that's been
Starting point is 01:26:16 advocated in our society for the last 40 plus years really much longer than that they thrive on being able to divide people to being able to act as though
Starting point is 01:26:34 one person's struggle can't relate to another person's struggle. They rely on people who think that way to continue to be in power. And it's not only that, it goes even further to the itemization of people. You know, I did a story recently about
Starting point is 01:26:57 our green card rules and how our immigration system is so fucked up that like if you are perceived as somebody who might need government assistance and you can't support yourself
Starting point is 01:27:16 I think it's like a higher likelihood than not you might not get a green card and so that is the purest form of division of categorization
Starting point is 01:27:36 that our society tries to inflict on the rest of us so they can stop us from, you know, resisting, from thinking for ourselves, understanding the plight of the people around us. Right, and, I mean, I, from my standpoint, from my perspective, Tristan, well, here's an example. A couple of months ago, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee in Ohio, Amy Acton,
Starting point is 01:28:18 in an unforced error said, well, I don't know why I always have to make them rednecks. Well, I don't know. I don't think boys should be playing in girls' sports either. Nobody made her say that. It's just such an unutterably dumb. statement and the LGBTQ plus community was outraged and the LGBTQ plus community was told to sit down and shut the fuck up and we said well okay and granted she's not as i guess she's not as horrible as we wake ramelama ding dong but that's pretty horrible Yeah And then, lo and behold
Starting point is 01:29:07 A couple of weeks ago, Amy Acton came out and said, well, you know, I'm in favor of showing photo ID in order to be able to vote. What's wrong with that? And meanwhile, the LGBT plus community's back there going,
Starting point is 01:29:25 we tried to tell you, we tried to fucking tell you, and now the latest for her, and, you know, I'm not I'm not trying. Lord, I don't want Weak Ramalama Ding Dong in charge of the state
Starting point is 01:29:39 that's right across West Virginia's river. Good Lord, no. But the latest thing is that she said, well, you know, I think the police in Ohio should certainly assist ICE.
Starting point is 01:30:00 Wow. I mean, at a certain point, you know, I was thinking about this, because I know this isn't the first time you brought Amy Acton up. At a certain point, you know, I'm not a political idealist. You know that.
Starting point is 01:30:21 I don't sit around, I don't sit on my hands saying, you know, this person, you know, they don't believe in every single viewpoint that I believe in, so I'm not going to vote for him. Genocide Joe, I mean, I'm not like that. No, you are not, and I resist all attempts to drag me into the Unicorn, the Sparkle Fart-Propelled Unicorn Cavalry Purity Patrol. Because they never seem to actually do anything except help Republicans win. I mean.
Starting point is 01:31:01 And bitch while they're doing it. Yeah. You know, bitch about being hungry with a roll of bologna and a little. loaf of red under each arm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just like, you know, it's sideline sniping, not playing in the game and then telling everybody how to play the game. But I think there comes a certain point where, one, at least from my perspective, I would
Starting point is 01:31:33 have to say, does this person believe, believe, believe. that my right to exist is important. Like if somebody like that said, well, I don't think blind people or disabled people should be crossing streets or, you know, I can't really think of an apt analogy, but something along those lines, right? They shouldn't be able to participate in a art of society
Starting point is 01:32:06 that is open to everybody, or it should be open to everybody. I would have a hard time voting for that person, and I don't know if I would. I really don't. I would still vote. I might leave that blank or find somebody who does believe in the things, you know, in my right to exist. But, you know, it's a hard thing to ask the LGBTQ population to swallow that. Yeah, no shit.
Starting point is 01:32:40 And look, I mean, I'll freely acknowledge, because I acknowledged it for years on this program, every time Joe Manchin's name showed up on a ballot, I just blew past that ballot position. Yep. Because he was fundamentally indistinguishable from a Republican to me. And frankly, I was proven correct during the pandemic. when he stopped continued help for people who were suffering as a result of the pandemic
Starting point is 01:33:16 and said well they'll probably just take out extra money out and spend it on the marijuana's and guns oh yes and you know I understand my case position she just said but at the end of the day if the person I'm voting for is meaningfully to me indistinguishable from the Republican
Starting point is 01:33:40 why the fuck do I care anymore? As a trans person, if I can't live in peace, why the hell should anyone else? I don't blame you, Micah. I don't either. The only thing is, while everybody else isn't living in peace, it'll be taken out on us. And it is that flank of the Democrat, Democratic Party. I almost did the Democrat Party thing. Jesus.
Starting point is 01:34:12 I know. it's the disease. Yeah. But anyway, that flank is, oh, they're fucking scared as hell. I remember talking about Third Way. There are other people who are trying to unseat people. I don't know if you heard about that progressive in Connecticut, that 15-term progressive who got knocked out by some.
Starting point is 01:34:42 centrist asshole, some younger person. And so these people, they're scared. They're scared of the progressive movement. They're scared of people like El Cyan. They're scared of anything that frightens, that might upset their ordered little world. And it's coming to a head now. That's why people like Amy Acton were pushed to the front
Starting point is 01:35:12 when they were way fucking better candidates than her, I imagine. I don't know who. I mean, it would be nice if we had candidates who didn't say stupid things like, let's cancel Thanksgiving. I mean, just, no, don't do that. Yeah, right. But by the same token, you know, bless his heart. Abdul El-Said is being plastered for ever having known Hassan Piker.
Starting point is 01:35:52 And that's, you know, that's a filthy, a filthy example of guilt by association. It's Jeremiah Wright all over the, all over again. Yep. well at jeremiah right uh well kind of told the truth well yeah the funny thing is when uh the jeremiah right started stuff started i was like ha funny i've been saying the same thing on this radio program no more god bless america god forgive america He just took it one step further. Yeah, absolutely. Don't get me wrong, Roxanne. I am no fan of Hassan Piker.
Starting point is 01:36:41 I despise Hassan Piker. He is the example of the Sparkle Fart purity patrol types that you were just talking about. Yeah, and born on third thinking he hit a triple, too. That's one of the things that drives me crazy. Yeah. Well, him and his uncle both. I don't like, I don't like Jenk either. Can't stand him. But I don't, I'm not going to blame Abdul-Sayet for that. No, no, no. And frankly, the more he takes the fight to Mike Rogers, the better off it is. Yeah. And by the way, just as an aside, down in Alabama, Tommy the Tuba
Starting point is 01:37:33 has announced that well I aren't and this is how fucking this is how fucking stupid he is he told some little gathering somewhere in Alabama
Starting point is 01:37:53 they said well will you debate Doug Jones and I think I saved the story because you know when you're quoting a stupid person you really want to quote the stupid person you know what i mean oh sure oh yeah um because this is just uh too damn dumb um oh well i thought i had it maybe whoa wait i know where i know where let me look in a different place i i stash stories in so many different places that it becomes a challenge just to you know where i'm just to you know where i i stash stories in so many different places that it becomes a challenge just to just to remember where I stuck them. You got to get an RSS reader, Roxanne.
Starting point is 01:38:47 I don't know if it would benefit me, Tristan, because I've been doing this this way for so long that it would, well, I forget who the baseball announcer was, but they changed beer sponsors. and he quit his job. He said, I don't, he said, sooner or later, I'm going to screw up and say the wrong brand name of the beer, and everybody's going to be mad at me, and the brewery's going to be mad at me. And so, let's just bring in somebody who knows that that's the beer sponsor.
Starting point is 01:39:30 Yeah. Yeah, it makes sense. I get it. Yeah, from WAAFF, Channel 48, let's go to there. team eyewitness action news for you coverage. So you can hear Tommy the Tubers. Pearls of wisdom. We can all hear them.
Starting point is 01:39:54 Well, then we'll be a few IQ points dumber. Lymstone County residents learned about what's going on in Washington today, courtesy of Senator Tommy Tuberville. The senator made a stop in Athens to share updates and discuss key issues regarding the state's economy and communities. One question everyone had on their minds was whether Tuberville will meet his gubernatorial candidate, his opponent, Doug Jones, for an open town hall or perhaps a debate. Senator Tuberville said, why bother?
Starting point is 01:40:27 Probably not. You know, there's so much different between us. I mean, there's no reason to get up there and argue about differences' opinion. We know where Democrats stand. We know we're conservative Republican stand. And I don't think there's any reason to get any kind of debate about that because there's really no debate. It's just a difference in opinion. The two.
Starting point is 01:40:49 You got that, Tristan? Oh, sure I do. Absolutely. Wonder what would have happened if he had said that at Auburn? Well, I mean, we know how the other team plays. Why bother playing? Oh, that's quality. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:41:05 Yeah. I mean, we know how. the Crimson Tide plays football, and we know how Auburn plays football. And, well, I mean, I won't see any, but it's just a dis- We ain't got nothing we can agree on. I mean, God damn it, Tristan. That's the definition of why you debate. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:41:28 You weigh the relative position. And, you know, the real answer is, well, you know, back down to my home in Florida, duh. I got me a, I got me a, I got me a boot. And every day I go and I pee in that boot. And I wait for it to rain. And once it starts a raining, I've got a good boot full of pee, I go outside and the directions for emptying it is writ on the heel.
Starting point is 01:42:05 and I can't tell you how many times I have covered myself in P trying to read them directions on the heel for how to pour piss out of a boot Yeah I'm just that goddamn dumb Words come out of my mouth That I don't even know what they mean no more
Starting point is 01:42:27 Yeah, I'm a moron Yeah, I'll get my ass handed to me if I have a debate with Doug Jones, so why would I, why would I do that? Somebody who's actually smart, I guess somebody who's dumb. And so it's,
Starting point is 01:42:44 it's Alabama, and I wonder if any of the TV stations would be willing to host a debate and let Doug Jones show up and just talk to Alabama for a while, while Tommy the Tuber sits back and says, well, I just don't agree
Starting point is 01:43:00 that people should be able to go to the doctor when they're sick, because that's communism. I think we need a goddamn data center on every thing corner. Yeah, well, I hope they do. I hope they allow him, Doug Jones, to speak, on television. I mean, goddamn, that would make things a little more fair in a place like Alabama. And, you know, not saying they're going to vote in a Democrat governor, but...
Starting point is 01:43:35 Well, but the thing is, the margin is narrowing there, which is curious. By the way, I've got to share this note with you from Juvenile Delinquent Number 2. Jeremy says, come on, you two, you know damn well. Yeah, that's a preemptive promulama ding-dong for what's about to happen. You know damn well if Abdul El-Said had children. wouldn't have his first name and his wife wouldn't have his last name because of a welfare scheme masterminded by them people oh jesus well let's just bookend that with a with a ramalama ding dong one on the front and one on the back well played juvenile delinquent number two very good very very good god damn
Starting point is 01:44:31 i know i know right see you're picking up some of my bad habits god damn it No, that's okay, I've always done that. Son of them. Yeah. I'm, yeah, it happened before we even met. I also, sometimes I'm just like, oh, fuck. You know, and every time I read a story and I just, I'm just like, oh, Jesus. Why?
Starting point is 01:45:01 Why do I even read this shit? Or listen to this shit. I know. Well, gracious, you know, you have to go all the way downstairs and across the street to the park before you can eat dirt and run rabbits, but I imagine you feel the urge. Oh, sure, yeah. I can always go to my old house in rural Oregon and do it. Goodness gracious. Yeah, you know. That's what Eaton does. dirt and running rabbits are four.
Starting point is 01:45:42 In the extreme cases, I still have my Johnny Walker Black label. So I'm covered. Well, you know, a wee dram right before bedtime. It'll suit you right. Yeah, exactly. And I like scultz and water. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:07 Yeah, a drop, a drop. drop of water drowning in a sea of scotch. Yeah, exactly. That's how the elders used to drink it. I am 18% Scottish, so there's that. I do have to say Johnny Walker Black is one of the finest scotches I've ever had. Not that I... Oh, I'm...
Starting point is 01:46:30 I'm a really snobby single malt bitch. I mean, I can't help it, but not that A, I drink much anymore, or B, that I could even be. begin to afford a bottle of scotch, single malt, or cutty sark, for that matter. Ew, cutty sark. Oh, oh. Yeah. No.
Starting point is 01:46:54 Well. I was, I, you mentioned scotch, and I always, I was thinking, I was think of that classic scene from Mr. Roberts, where they, uh, he and Doc start trying to, figure out how to concoct a bottle of scotch because they've got an empty johnny walker bottle and they've got some pure grain alcohol from the from the torpedo room and uh they mix that with some water and then the conversation starts and uh well let's see let's add a little Coca-Cola for color well doc what does scotch always taste like you to you and well i always thought it tasted a little like iodine.
Starting point is 01:47:43 And the dock goes over and puts a couple of drops to iodine and they taste it and you know, you can see it on their face. Oh, that's smooth. No, that's a great moment. But, oh, and I've got a fun little moment that you might enjoy here as we approach the third hour of the program. MS now sent one of their
Starting point is 01:48:12 pixel-stained wretches out to Ontario to see how Canadians were feeling about the president of the new 90 states of America, the greatest country in the history of the world on earth now today, forever in the universe under God. And I swear it's almost like whoever was on the dump button was sitting there bleeping like they were, like they were, I don't know, sending out messages in Morse code. Here we go. Canadians are standing their ground this morning as President Trump escalation. his ongoing trade war with America's northern neighbor.
Starting point is 01:48:51 They are one of the worst countries in the world to deal with. And this has gone on for many years. They have taken advantage of the United States for many decades, actually. They charge tariffs. They take advantage of us as though they were a state and they're not a state. MSN out of course. Alex, Tavitt, joins us from Vaughn, Ontario. Alex, what's the state of play in Canada right now?
Starting point is 01:49:14 Well, Peter, we've been talking to dozens of Canadians about this trade war. Canadians are people who are famously kind, empathetic, willing to hear out the other side. But right now, they tell us that they feel like they're being pushed to the brink. Take a listen to some of those conversations. How about you? What would you tell President Trump right now? Let's knuckle up, boy, elbows up. Canadians, we don't take that stuff.
Starting point is 01:49:42 We don't back down from a fight. Never have, never will. Bring it. I am fully behind what Carney's done. He's recently threatened to rename Lake Ontario, Lake America. What do you make of that threat? I think there's also talk about renaming Lake Michigan, Lake Epstein. I tell him to fuck us.
Starting point is 01:50:02 Be honest with you? Do something else. Get somebody in there that's got some respect for people and his country. I think they should job it right where it belongs. I like Canada. Canada's Canada. Been that way all the time. Been a free country.
Starting point is 01:50:18 I know we have some problems in our country, but poor states, we got health care. They look after us, and it's fun being up here. Go down there, what do you get? Nothing. You got to pay for everything. How's that happen? And Peter, you heard it there lots of flowery language,
Starting point is 01:50:39 but in classic Canadian fashion, those curse words were immediately preceded by I'm Sorries. Peter. I'm sorry, it's right. I was going to say that Canadians generally about as nice as folks got, but they had some tough words for the present. You were talking about Lake Ontario. We should note that Ontario is the indigenous...
Starting point is 01:50:57 Are you drinking on the job there, buddy? Oh, God, that's just classic. I got to hear that. I got to hear that again, Tristan. I hope you don't mind. No, no. Peter. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:51:17 right i was going to say that canadian is generally about as nice as folks got but they had some tough words for the present you were talking about lake ontario we should note that ontario is the indonesis indigenous iroquian name for great lake so that's what the president was proposing changing there alex tab it on the ground for us in ontario we appreciate you thank you so much coming up next and but but but he you know he can set the hook but he can't reel in the fish it's an indisinnous word meaning Great Lake which the president of the United States is entirely too
Starting point is 01:51:58 goddamn stupid to even know but then again he hates but then again Trump would probably say the word indizzenous the same way that that guy did and he hates he has a well a well-established
Starting point is 01:52:17 long-standing hatred of indigenous people because they got in the way of one of his casinos once upon a time and actually saved him from bankrupting more than one casino. He should be grateful. I remember that testimony he did for the Senate and
Starting point is 01:52:35 he was like, oh, they don't look Indian to me. Well, yeah, and you don't look human to me, but here we are. Yeah, exactly. And does does the asshole even know that he can't name he can't rename the whole half he can't rename the whole goddamn lake because some of it's in fucking Canada he's only renaming the part that's here about which the water does not give even so much as a single dam exactly a dam yes is a tinker's dam so does that mean that say if one goes fishing in Lake Ontario
Starting point is 01:53:24 what does that do about fish by God we've got a global crisis on our hands here Tristan what does that say about fish citizenship just coming and going back and forth across the lake one day it's a one day it's a it's a Canadian lake trout and the next day it's an American
Starting point is 01:53:50 lake trout and and and and and they're they're in the the lake trout are invading the lake of America part of Lake America black stack and not pole that
Starting point is 01:54:03 and the wall eyes one day they're Canadian the next day they're American and you can only catch the American wall eyes I miss walleye is so good it's delicious it's the it's the
Starting point is 01:54:17 it is the absolutely yummiest of all freshwater fish. I used to be... Catfish, you know, I'm okay, but for consistency and just mild flaking it, deliciousness, yeah, give me that walleye any day of the week.
Starting point is 01:54:36 Yeah, I am a catfish guy, I will say. But a walleye is delicious. I had it at a restaurant called Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis. You know, and don't forget the perch. and, you know, those fish, we're going to have to pack them in ice, so to speak. Those illegal immigrant fish.
Starting point is 01:55:07 Hey, that's a great idea. Yeah. Let's put some of those gravy seals from ice in some ginormous scuba suits and let them go out and look for the illegal alien canoodle. and fish. Exactly. Don't forget the hip waiters. Don't forget the ankle weights.
Starting point is 01:55:34 That too. Yeah. Which in... Right, and I was going to say in ice goons being the way they are might take an extra large
Starting point is 01:55:46 set of cement shoes. I do have to say, though, We should give a cowbell to that Ramah, Lama, whatever it is, to the guy who said Lake Epstein. That was pretty goddamn good. Oh, that's that, yeah, and that's an image that's making the rounds. Signs coming down saying Lake Ontario and signs going up saying Lake Epstein. Yeah, that's some. Let's take it.
Starting point is 01:56:15 I mean, there's great comedy that's come out of Canada over the years. let's workshop the joke there up in the Great White North how about Lake Trumpstein that would sting oh yeah yeah absolutely anything that sting Trump
Starting point is 01:56:37 Trump is skin about as thin as bad wallpaper no all you have to do is look at the back of his hands and yeah his skin's about the thickness of a spring roll wrapper at this point in time there I just ruined spring Jesus.
Starting point is 01:56:53 I'm just going to say, well, you know, yeah, it's absolutely, this whole thing is, he's running on a road with Canada. He can't, he, he's trying to push him as hard as he can and make ridiculous demand after ridiculous demand.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Probably at Natalie's instruction. And it's, you know, he's running out of road. You can't, you can't go any further. And it's, well, you know,
Starting point is 01:57:33 if it weren't for that inept, uh, uh, Grim Reaper's second class, we might not be having the same conversation. Yeah. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:57:44 that's true. Uh, well, that day will come. And hopefully, uh, sooner. Well,
Starting point is 01:57:55 say, I wanted, I wanted, I wanted to mention something, Tristan. Uh, I mentioned, that executive order about bulk power equipment?
Starting point is 01:58:04 Oh yeah. I wonder if that's got something to do with the fact that Doug Ford can flip a switch and send a whole shitload of America into the dark. He might do it too. He might just do it. And I wonder if somebody was reading, there's that science fiction book
Starting point is 01:58:26 came out, I don't know, 20 years ago about the electrical grid being disrupted it, what the hell is that book called? You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, I do, and I can't remember it right off the top of my head. Yeah, I wonder if somebody was reading that, too. And so Trump's trying to... Yeah, good God.
Starting point is 01:58:50 It could be really bad. I mean, you know, if Doug Ford actually does go through with it, I mean, God, Michigan's going to be lost to the Republicans for a long-ass time. well you hope but then again micah's up in michigan and so is joy and um they they might have a different estimation they know michigan maggots better than we do oh sure yeah now i've got a friend in michigan my friend uh kevin from farmington hills michigan he definitely knows that sort of outer suburb area pretty well Farmington Hills is where Ben Carson is from
Starting point is 01:59:40 isn't that right? Oh I don't know the guy who thinks hot dogs are fresh food Ben Carson the guy who has a velvet painting of him and Jesus walking hand and hand on the beach that Ben Carson? Well that too yeah and by the way Micah in Michigan says Doug Ford should do it
Starting point is 01:59:58 he should yes because you know there's some history behind all of this. The last time we really pissed off Canada, they came down and burnt
Starting point is 02:00:17 Washington, D.C. to the ground. It's worth remembering. Yeah, there's a reason that... Sorry, go ahead. No, they were not only British troops, but they were canoodling. Yeah. There's a reason that Canada's
Starting point is 02:00:35 a separate country than the United States. It wasn't for a lack of trying on the Americans part, but they fucking failed. So I think you should do it too. Yeah, it's not great. Did you hear about the Ben Carson hot dog remark? I want to say yes, but no.
Starting point is 02:01:03 Yeah, well, he was at some sort of conference with rookie Rollins and some other person. And he was talking about fresh food, fresh food like squeak corn and hot dogs. and how no kids there were kids at elementary schools who didn't know what whole milk was this was like Monday or something was he mistaken
Starting point is 02:01:32 whole milk with raw milk uh who the hell knows yeah right i know i i wouldn't i wouldn't be able to tell you that but it just calls me that he thinks that hot dogs are fresh food it's actually quite funny well what did bismarge say there are two things
Starting point is 02:01:52 There are two things you'd ever want to see made, sausages and laws? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I don't think, I mean, I've seen fresh sausages made, particularly Boudin, down in Louisiana. And when they get to the part
Starting point is 02:02:14 where they pour the pig blood in, well, the more squeamish among us might agree with Bismarck that that was something they never wanted to say. see-made. But damn. Oddly enough, the little meat market up in Parkersburg
Starting point is 02:02:28 keeps Budan on hand, but it's non-blood bun bun, so damn it. Damn. Yeah. Yeah, that stuff is pretty damn good. But I mean, you know, and every culture does
Starting point is 02:02:44 a version of it. You know, the English have their black pudding. The Germans have their blutvests. and it's all because you don't you don't waste parts you know when it comes to when it comes to pig you use everything but the oink that's right hell yeah
Starting point is 02:03:07 in Hawaii they got the Kalua pork they cook the pig and you know those big underground ovens and stuff oh yeah you ever had Kalua pork it's no I have not oh it's so good I've had a whole hog pig roast from a hole in the ground, you know, where you bury it.
Starting point is 02:03:31 You put the banana leaves and stuff on it. Yeah, that's really delicious. Yeah, did you make that? We used to do a pig roast like that when I was in the fraternity a thousand years ago. Because we had an annual party that was Polynesian themed. We'll just leave it at that. and we would dig a pit in the fraternity house yard and line it with bricks and build a humongous fire and get the bricks nice and hot and then put down a layer of banana leaves corn chucks whatever was at hand
Starting point is 02:04:12 they were wet put the pig on top of that put on another layer and just lightly put the a little bit of the soil over top and put a piece of sheet metal on top of that and 24 hours later you had something mighty mighty good Oh God, that does sound delicious. Absolutely delicious. Well, I would, you know, and I would think,
Starting point is 02:04:35 because we've moved into the food porn portion of the conversation, I would think there has to be somewhere in Seattle that you can get whole hog barbecue. Because it's a different thing. And oh, it's so succulent and so tender. I'm sure there is a place that does it. I haven't found it.
Starting point is 02:04:59 Chris and I, I introduced Chris to this wonderful barbecue place. It's Texas. Texas barbecue. The dude who runs it is from Texas. It's called Jack's Barbecue. We're talking, you know, brisket, both in a regular brisket and chop and hot links
Starting point is 02:05:24 and the chili with no beans in it and the cake cornbread cake thing it's delicious I love it I know some people hate cornbread with sugar in it but I fucking love it
Starting point is 02:05:39 you know it's well you had the common decency to refer to it by its proper name cake yeah it's cake it's fucking cake but it's delicious though You got to, I can't help it. They've got like, it's kind of thinner sauce. It's not vinegar-based.
Starting point is 02:06:01 Texas-based seems like it's, I can't really describe the flavor. But it's, I think it's tomato-based. But it's not like that thick, sticky crap. Yeah, I can't abide that thick, gooey, sweet. No. I have enough problems with my blood sugar as it is. Yeah, no, I can't stand that stuff either, but this is nice and thin and delicious. Oh, well, maybe one of these days I can send you a bottle.
Starting point is 02:06:33 Well, and if you have some splurgeon money, you can go on to that site owned by that Dick Rocket guy. and you can order a bottle of Dreamland barbecue sauce which comes from a rib place in Alabama and it's a thin sauce and oh it is heavenly is that mop sauce no it's not a mop sauce per se this is a genuine barbecue sauce
Starting point is 02:07:05 but it's thin and it's not overpoweringly sweet in fact Miss Terry and I both love it because anybody whose diabetic can pretty much have as much they want of it, because it's got very, very, very few carbs in it. That's great.
Starting point is 02:07:25 Yeah, I mean, you know, Christmas is in a few short months. So maybe I'll get something like that. That would sound great with some baby back or spare ribs. Oh, it's great on ribs, but it's great on pulled pork, too. Oh, yeah, sure. And from the department, from the read the fucking room department, I just got a, you know, I can never click on the links because paywall. But I get the New York Times little, you know, story pitches. And I just saw this one a couple of minutes ago, Tristan.
Starting point is 02:08:05 And it was like, no, really, read the room. The subject line for this was 41 of the best Mexican restaurants in the U.S. our food team traveled the U.S. for more than a year in search of the best Mexican restaurants. Was there anybody working at them, you dumb asses? God. Yeah. The New York Times can be very vapid. They're worse on the weekends, too.
Starting point is 02:08:44 If you ever try to read the New York Times on the weekends, you get these fucking yuppie New Yorker types, basically telling you how to live your life. Now, let's take it easy because I don't know, but we might have some yuppie New Yorker types in the Horn family community congregation. Well, hopefully they don't wrap for the New York Times. Yeah, I mean, if I ever get back there, I've got a list. I want to go to Barney Greengrass so damn bad I can, well, I can tell you. The Sturgeon King.
Starting point is 02:09:23 Oh, I'd love that. Oh, I love New York. too. I went to the Met and they have a tactile tour. I mean, I was half to sleep for it because I took the 1 o'clock of the 1 a.m. megabus, it was only
Starting point is 02:09:46 five bucks. So I was fucking tired, but I got to feel like a replica sarcophagus and stuff. It was fucking cool. Oh, neat. I'd love to be buried in one of those fucking things. I mean, I am basically royalty, so. I had no idea. Not really.
Starting point is 02:10:11 Lee confirming for us, not a yuppie New Yorker. Okay, good to know. But I don't want to step on any because, and the other thing, I actually saw a video of it the other day. This, you know, down on the Lower East Side, once upon a time, there are all kinds of purveyors of pickles. and now there's one shop left and if it grows from the ground
Starting point is 02:10:37 they'll pickle it and God I love pickles and I'm still waiting to hear on the great pickled corn experiment and oh yeah that's oh Cynthia says hell I'd love to go to New York
Starting point is 02:10:56 just to get a Rubin go to cats's I saw a Cats is real the other day of somebody just preparing a Rubin and they instead of like sliced it they put melted Swiss on it along with the Thousand Island and the corned beef and the kraut and who yeah
Starting point is 02:11:17 yeah oh that sounds good what else is good. Pickled cauliflower oh god yes especially especially the spicy variety. Oh, yeah. It actually make me want to eat vegetables, which is a first. Well, and something that I experienced years and years and years ago, I knew somebody who
Starting point is 02:11:46 used to pickle celery, and pickled celery is amazing. Oh, that does sound really good. I like celery just by itself. I can imagine pickling that will make it even better. And I keep a jar of the the hot okra pickles in my fridge just because sometimes you just pop by and you grab one and keep moving and, uh, you know,
Starting point is 02:12:15 any conversation that we have, Tristan, will always involve food porn. Yeah. Wait, pickle okra? Yes? Wow. Never even heard of that. That does sound good, too.
Starting point is 02:12:29 Oh, it's crunchy and, uh, you know you find the right you find the right bar in new orleans and hell order a bloody mary and it comes with brunch and the the skewer has dill pickles pickled okra pickled carrots pickled everything and you drink your bloody mary and have a full serve a day's full serving of vitamins and vegetables perfect well now you have to go out and now you now you have to order yourself a jar pickled okra Oh, God damn. I never even thought.
Starting point is 02:13:07 I mean, it makes sense. I just never even considered it. I do like all that kind of southern stuff. Oh, I love the little seeds, the little ochre seeds inside the pod, because they kind of pop, you know, in your mouth. Ah, it's fun. Yeah, it's like a vegetable caviar kind of thing. You know what?
Starting point is 02:13:36 Yeah. Yeah. Pickled ochres seeds. Vegan caviar. How about that? Yeah. Well, there's Texas caviar. You know what, Texas caviar.
Starting point is 02:13:47 Yeah, let's leave that alone. Yeah. Fair enough. No, it's beans. I actually got. Yeah. But I actually got, the last time I went to Pike Place Market, I got a jar of salmon.
Starting point is 02:14:04 this tiny little jar for like 10 bucks. Didn't care for it, to be honest with you. The difference between Salmon Row and Caviar is night and day. Let's see. Salmon Row is really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, oily and fishy. Yeah, no kidding. Now, I don't know if you'd enjoy it, but I mentioned it, I'm not sure when, but again, oh, it's when I was talking to Billable Rick, yeah, Oonie, Sea Orchon Row. Now, that is a treat.
Starting point is 02:14:51 I've heard of that, yeah, yeah, that's, and I'll bet you could get some damn good Oonie in Seattle. Oh, I have no doubt. I'm sure there's some sushi place that'll probably have it. I get Inagi. You know what that is, right? Eel. It's eel. Oh, and that shit is fan.
Starting point is 02:15:14 Fucking-tastic. I mean, the sauce they put on it. Mm-hmm. Ooh. You can find lots of Takayaki here, too, which are just, oh, my goodness. Yeah, I may. I may end the program early because I'm getting hit by a horrible case of the Hungries. I'd like to.
Starting point is 02:15:40 I'm so sorry. Oh, no, no, no. That's okay. But now I'm thinking about maybe a little white tuna sashimi. Oof. Or sushi. That does sound delicious. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:15:58 That could be a very happy thing. Because among other things, I don't. do, I've got to go down to the settlements for provisions because now that we got this here trade war going, it's time to stock, like I said, it's time to stock up on the, on the T.P. Yeah. Because my, you know, my ancestors were not above using corn chucks, but just because they did doesn't mean I want to. My, my, my, my, my quest for Appalachian authenticity half its limits, Tristan.
Starting point is 02:16:32 Oh, sure. Yeah, I wouldn't blame you either. I'm Mexican. I'm sure my ancestors used corn trucks, too. You're going to go to Walmart, Sam's Club? Yeah, Wally World. I hate to, but they're right next to the sushi place, so Birds, Stone. Yeah, well, I don't blame you at all.
Starting point is 02:16:55 You know, you got to take what you can get. I'm lucky I got a whole. whole thing of it from Costco, like 36 rolls. And my cat, my cat was shredding the, like she took apart the, it was on a shelf, and she took apart some of the, like the wrappings, so I had to move the damn thing.
Starting point is 02:17:26 Ah, God, the kitty does love a nice, a nice soft roll of TP. Yeah. That's a cat's paradise, that is. I'll tell you one of the most enjoyable, and I don't think it does them any harm. One of the most enjoyable things we've seen with the kitties here, and it was entirely a discovery by accident.
Starting point is 02:17:51 I accidentally dropped a marshmallow on the floor one day. Kitty pounced. And they had the best time for actually, Hours on end playing marshmallow kitty cat hockey. Damn. Just batting them across the floor and chasing that marshmallow down. They had no interest whatsoever in eating it, but damn, it was good fun. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:18:21 That actually makes sense. You're talking like the big marshmallows, right? Yeah, the big ones, yeah. Yeah. Well, maybe I'll make s'mores and I'll give her one. Give her a marshmallow, not a s'm. Yep, right. No chocolate, please.
Starting point is 02:18:33 s'm the s'mores are for me all yours um yeah um yeah that that actually makes sense i mean i can imagine like those marshmallows are probably just the right size that amounts would be yeah yeah um oh my you know i say i think back to my dad my dad loved those marshmallows that were rolled in uh toasted coconut wonder what would happen if you took a marshmallow and rolled it in catnip. Yeah, I wonder. I don't know how... We have a few catnick toys around here, but I don't know how much they work on her. She... She's becoming a lot more mellow these days.
Starting point is 02:19:23 I am going to give her a new toy because her old battery-operated thingy died, died for good this time. And so I got a I got to make the replacement. But, yeah, you know, I'll do that. I'll get some marshmallow. And make some s'mores and give her.
Starting point is 02:19:50 Yeah, and you can always put a marshmallow in a nice cup of hot chocolate. That's always fun. Oh, yes, hot chocolate. I do enjoy a good cup of cocoa. It has to be Mexican hot chocolate, though. Oh, that's so good, with a little bit of chili powder to it. Oh, yeah, yeah, absolutely. There's nothing better.
Starting point is 02:20:11 It's the Mexican drink of royalty. Absolutely right. And they even developed a little tool. It's like a rod with little rings attached to it, and you put it in your chocolate, and you spin the rod between your palms, and it froths your chocolate for you. Oh, that's so cool.
Starting point is 02:20:37 And you periodically go back and re-froth it because apparently as far as the people with the T-Z-I-N on the ends of their name in the ancient Mexican cultures, Nahal cultures, it was all about the froth for them. Yeah. Yes. Sorry, anthropology nerd, can't help it. Yeah, no, I understand. I like anthropology too. You know, but they have another drink in Mexican culture that I really like to make is Atole. It's some Mossa and some...
Starting point is 02:21:21 Yeah. I used my Vitamix to make it, and damn, was that shit delicious. So what is it, Atoli and honey and what? Or agave syrup? I mean, you can put anything you want in it. I mean, it's milk and and Masa, Mosa Harina, and
Starting point is 02:21:42 you can put, you know, usually chocolate or cinnamon. I did like a spice version, so I put nutmeg and cinnamon and ginger and cloves. Oh, yummy. Four fall spices.
Starting point is 02:21:58 Those are what I call the fall spices. Oh, it was fantastic, and the Vitamix really frothed it and made it nice and like because the problem with corn meals like you can make it on the stove but it gets very very thick yeah and it's like a pudding which isn't bad but i like to drink and you know i put it in the vitamin mix for a couple minutes on full speed i mean that shit it is it's something else god it's good and of course i still i still have on my bucket list uh speaking
Starting point is 02:22:36 beverages. I want to try, and probably never will, because I won't be going to Mexico anytime soon, passports and all of that. I very badly want to taste Pulke, or what it was called in the original tongue, Ockley, which is fermented, fermented magway syrup. Yeah. And it's kind of gooey and sticky and disgusting. but that was the fermented beverage of choice before the Spanish invasion. Is this supposed to taste good? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:23:20 Okay. Yeah, I've never even considered, I'm sure they have it in Mexico still. Oh, gosh, yes, they do. A little pulcherias, just a little hole in the wall places, and they serve it in plastic buckets. Wow. You know, I don't think you need a passport to go to Mexico. If you have a real ID, you can cross a land border, can't you? I looked into that relative to Canada, and I don't think so.
Starting point is 02:23:56 Huh. Maybe it used to be that way, but I'm guessing in the world in which we find ourselves now, not so much. Well, I just, I got my enhanced ID, and that was said, plainly that you could go, you know, anywhere within the U.S. and Mexico and Canada and the Caribbean. So I don't, I mean, I could be completely wrong. I don't know, but that was my impression. Yeah, for like a day trip, but I think you, if, in fact, for a day trip, but I think you still need, you know, if you're going to be there for a couple of days,
Starting point is 02:24:40 passport. Okay. Well, that's good to know because I need to renew it myself. I haven't renewed my passport. Since it expired a couple years ago, I haven't really been planning any international trips myself. Oh, God, I do want to do some more traveling. It's been too damn long. Well, I'm waiting until hopefully January of 2029.
Starting point is 02:25:08 Yeah, I don't blame you for that either. I mean, there's just Our most puissant Dread Sovereign-Sovron Supreme Catholic Majesty He said, yeah, go ahead and fuck the trans people. Oh, sure. I mean... And they're going to fuck a lot more people
Starting point is 02:25:24 by the time this is all over. Yep. And, you know, confiscating and examining people's phones. I feel like if one leaves the country and plans on coming back, one should probably go with a burner phone that has absolutely nothing on it.
Starting point is 02:25:48 Yeah. Well, did you hear about that trans Mexican woman that they fucking deported? And now she's hiding from her family because she's afraid that, because they don't know that she's trans. And she's afraid for them to find out. Fucking awful. That's all too common. Yeah. It's just, you know, that torture thing that you were talking about yesterday, that that guy,
Starting point is 02:26:20 who got deported. That's the same thing that happened to this woman. You know, the Mexican government assured the United States government that they wouldn't be tortured, and so the U.S. just sent them back. And it's like, well, the government can give all the fucking assurances that it wants, but the cartel doesn't really give a fuck about what the government says. Right. So you're going to get a little card that says cartels are not allowed to torture this individual?
Starting point is 02:26:49 That's going to mean so much. Oh yes, of course You know, I've never met a cartel person who didn't completely and utterly respect the rule of the law, of course. God, and it's, it's assinine. That is, you know, I'm not surprised by a lot, but that, it does surprise me. The level of fucking stupidity. All the best people, Trump's going to hide. all the best people.
Starting point is 02:27:22 And that's what they came up. Well, you know, Putin said that he didn't interfere in our elections, so I guess I have to believe it. Kim Jong-un was really nice to me, so, I mean, you know, fuck South Korea because he was a nice man. You know, I mean, that's just the level of governance that we have to contend with. Oh, and interesting. I wanted to share this with you for just a sec.
Starting point is 02:27:48 You mentioned Farmington Hills, Michigan. Well, Abdul El-Said spoke there. And I don't know if I guess it's becoming a thing, but that is Senate candidates, zinging nitwit Niro about his bunny, his bunny boiler sidekick. I mean, Jesus. So, given the success that John Ossoff had, Abdul El-Said has entered the contest, shall we say. And I just want to point to two issues right now that we're dealing with. Number one, as hard as he tries, as hard as he tries.
Starting point is 02:28:42 This guy wants to pretend like he never met Donald Trump. I don't know who that is. And Donald Trump, because he can't resist the red meat, can't seem to keep my name out of his mouth. Habibi, if you can't say the name, don't say the name. Abdul. Abdul. I'm going to say it like that, man. It's creepy.
Starting point is 02:29:14 Abdul. Hold on to the L a little too long. Oh, Abdul. You know, Natalie's going to show him this clip and he's going to be so mad. Abdul. Try Abdurochman. Try that. Sure.
Starting point is 02:29:48 But you know what? This is actually a kind of a strategy, I think, Tristan. Oh, yeah. Because since he is a malignant narcissist, the more people talk about Natalie, the more he'll hate it. Because all the focus has to always, be on him.
Starting point is 02:30:16 Exactly. And it has to be how strong he is, how how robust and healthy he is. You know, he's the healthiest person and the healthiest person ever
Starting point is 02:30:31 to be president. With a very big brain, the biggest brain of any president ever. Oh, yes, yes, of course. Has anybody told him that Neanderthals actually had bigger brains than humans? than, you know, homo sapiens? Yeah, probably not.
Starting point is 02:30:54 Nah. We've never had a greater example of the Dunning-Cruger presidency than this tired old pedophile. He doesn't know what he doesn't know. He doesn't know a lot. That's just the damn truth. His brain, that big brain is a hollow brain. Uh, you know. But he's got the people to surround him, the positivity paw patrol and all that shit, which is what Natalie's doing.
Starting point is 02:31:38 That map is definitely Natalie's doing. Oh, Jesus. Natalie. Huh. I almost want to feel sorry for her. Nope, sorry. She's obvious. Well, I understand. Well, no, the thing is, she's a grifter, too.
Starting point is 02:32:00 Her whole origin story has completely fallen apart. So that stuff about cancer wasn't true? Well, there's a video that's come to light from around 2017. Natalie was in her mid-20s. A maggot by the name of Kareem Lanier posted it to Twitter in June 2018. And in the video, she says that
Starting point is 02:32:37 she was a victim of a medical error in 2015, that she was accidentally infused with sterile water and went into hemorrhagic shock. She said she had a rare condition in which she lost nearly all of her blood platelets. and was left with cancer, chronic pain, and mounting medical bills. Sterile water caused cancer? What?
Starting point is 02:33:10 And then at the end of the video, because remember, it's a maggot video, she said, The elites thought they held the Trump card. Well, people with actual training and actual medicine, Tristan, have since gotten a hold of that video. And first of all, they noted that sterile water infusion errors are rare in the extreme that when it has happened to other patients, they've survived it because the aforementioned
Starting point is 02:33:47 Kareem Lanier said that she was the only survivor that killed more than 4,000 people. And then in 2019, she had traded on it enough that she got an invitation to sit on the couch fox and fiends, and that's where nitwit Niro saw her. Because she said, well, the law that President Trump signed saved my life.
Starting point is 02:34:20 Well, the drug that she used, Tristan, had already been approved. His right to try law never touched that drug. It was legal before the law even took effect. So she's just another liar. She's just another con artist. And honestly, they start early, the maggots do. So it's not the least bit surprising to me. No, I suppose not.
Starting point is 02:34:58 I guess I hadn't really looked too deeply into her history. But, no, it's not surprising at all. This whole movement was built on... Graft and corruption and lies, yeah. You know, did you hear about Donald Trump Jr.'s company that invested in a startup that got, like, preferential treatment from the Pentagon? I'm not at all surprised. I mean, it's kind of like which startup. Yeah, yeah, well, you know, Jamie Raskin wrote a letter detailing his concerns and stuff. but I think
Starting point is 02:35:46 what's galling to me is that insider trading laws, according to what I understand, they don't actually touch the president's kids or their family. Jesus. And so you know, Trump has been,
Starting point is 02:36:07 his venture capital firm invested in this startup three months before they got the Pentagon contract to approve. It's like some drone, like some some drone magnet company or something like they make magnets that are used in drone
Starting point is 02:36:24 construction oh Jesus and yeah and Trump Jr. Yeah and he's also he's on the board of both polymarket and Kalshi. Right. Yes
Starting point is 02:36:40 absolutely. And I'm sure he's placed some of those humongous bets that have paid off really well. Absolutely. Him and the rest of his you know, the idiots with whom he surrounds himself like fucking Peter Navarro
Starting point is 02:36:55 and all that other bullshit. Navarro is the one who made the call to fast-track that Pentagon contract, and you know how slow the fucking Pentagon moves. Oh, sure. And, you know, for a reason, you don't want to just put
Starting point is 02:37:12 crap out there that may wind up killing the troops. I mean, we're still flying that that Osprey aircraft. I mean, it's really cool in its conception because its rotors can rotate so that it can perform like a helicopter or like a standard fixed-wing aircraft. But they do have a habit of just sort of randomly dropping out of the sky.
Starting point is 02:37:41 Yeah, that's a problem. Yeah, I pity any Marine who has to get on board one of those things. Yeah, absolutely. Well, in our, you know, our munition stockpiles fucking depleting at record levels, and, you know, how are the Pentagon trying to solve it? Oh, by outsourcing the making of fucking missiles to 3D printer companies and shit.
Starting point is 02:38:09 Like, people that are using 3D printed parts. Yeah, eventually we'll wind up with missiles that have flags coming out the front that say, bang. Yeah, exactly. And it's worth noting, today is an inauspicious day, Tristan. Today is six months of this monumentally stupid war. Yep. And there's no end in sight.
Starting point is 02:38:41 But these monstrosities, these monstrosities are wandering around, sitting in a situation room, talking about dropping a nuke on Tehran. Yep. And I raised the question the other day of John Ratcliffe and his double secret probation trip to Mother Russia earlier this week. Yes. Well, there's been some more coverage of it since I mentioned it, since I mentioned the story that I saw on the BBC. The Wall Street Journal confirmed the purpose of the visit. Okay, sure.
Starting point is 02:39:22 he went the CIA director see this is where it still doesn't make a goddamn lick a sense the CIA director went to Moscow
Starting point is 02:39:35 to warn Russia against attacking NATO countries NITWAT Nero said oh it was semi-routine why are you sending the spy chief to Moscow to tell him not to
Starting point is 02:39:56 attack NATO countries. Wouldn't you send... Well, you can't send Whiskey Pete Kegbreath. They'll just bury him in Compromot, you know, sex workers and booze and maybe a little blow into the bargain. So he's out... But this, arguably, this is the business of what? Who?
Starting point is 02:40:17 Little Marco, this is in his wheelhouse. This is diplomacy. I was just going to say, Ruby, natural choice. And I guess they're getting a little bit panicked because Daddy Pouty has been signaling that he's going to make, he's going to test the resolve of NATO and Article 5 and, you know, do some, well, he's been having his drones and missiles accidentally fall on Polish soil for a while now. But I guess. some of the, if there are any responsible adults left whatsoever in our intelligence community,
Starting point is 02:41:04 uh, they're, they're worried that he's, uh, he puty is, might very well make a limited incursion into one of the Baltic states in the next year or few. Well, it's highly possible. Uh, and, uh, you know, what, how the fuck would Trump react to that shit, you know? Well, how could he react? We can't shoot back. We've got shit for munitions. Well, right, right. Yeah. No, you're absolutely right. Because this is what happens when you start a fucking unprovoked war.
Starting point is 02:41:50 I was just talking in my videos about how, you know, in an ideal world, or even in a less than an ideal world, we would use our military defensively, not offensively. Especially not for something stupid like this. Well, that's its purpose. We are supposed to maintain a defensive military. We defend our interests. We don't, but then again, you know, that ship sailed back in 2003, and he tried to kill my daddy. Fuchs a damn, we're going to take him out.
Starting point is 02:42:30 Constitution is just useless. goddamn piece of paper. Yeah, that's right. You're absolutely right on that. And I don't, you know, I don't know why they would send the CIA director. That, this is where...
Starting point is 02:42:51 I mean, make it make sense. I can't. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, maybe some foreign policy walks in the community might have a better answer than I do, because, you know, I could... Maybe there's some 15-dimensional maneuvering that I don't fucking know about.
Starting point is 02:43:10 But it's just... It could just be fucking incompetence, man. I mean, like, they're all so goddamn stupid. They don't know. They're chasing their own tails in the fucking White House right now. And the thing is, the Kremlin spokes crepe, Dmitri Peskov, said that rat,
Starting point is 02:43:31 Cliff met with Russian intelligence officials. He said he did not meet directly with Pooty Poo, but that Pooty was briefed afterward on the discussions. Again, why are spooks talking to
Starting point is 02:43:47 their counterpart spooks on issues of diplomacy and you know, our willingness to honor our obligations under the under NATO
Starting point is 02:44:03 How is that not the province of the Secretary of State? Where, for that matter, where the fuck is Little Marco? Yeah, we haven't heard from him much. Is he down president in Venezuela? Is he planning the invasion of Cuba? Yeah, that's not too far behind either. But, sometimes. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 02:44:36 it makes very little sense to me I you know I I think I think this is one of those stories that we kind of put a pin in yeah
Starting point is 02:44:51 and just sort of keep on the back burner because none of it makes a goddamn lick of sense and of course the Beckerhead asked him about it
Starting point is 02:45:05 and then of course daddy just steamrolled him saying Well, something may come out of it. We're working very hard to get that war ended, and frankly, you both want to see it ended at this point. Which war? What?
Starting point is 02:45:19 Huh? It doesn't even know what he's talking about from one second to the next. Yeah. Yeah, he doesn't. Yeah. So, you know, this bears some attention. Yeah, we'll see what comes of it. maybe something will get revealed soon.
Starting point is 02:45:48 God damn. Really weighs heavy on me, though. Fucking, you know, these draft dodging assholes, these armchair military experts sending our troops with no preparation, with limited weapons and shit.
Starting point is 02:46:12 It's not going to and well for us. It really isn't. Well, you know what a little classics nerd I am, Tristan. This just more and more often feels like the
Starting point is 02:46:28 brilliant plan on the part of the Athenian Empire to go and save Syracuse, you know, Sicily. And the Sicily campaign was Athens's complete and utter undoing.
Starting point is 02:46:50 I don't know. Well, listen, it's been a great conversation, Tristan. I've appreciated every second of it and enjoyed every second of it. It's wonderful to hear from you. Likewise, Roxanne. It was a great conversation, and we'll be in touch soon, I'm sure. I hope so. And don't forget about that pickled okra.
Starting point is 02:47:11 No, we'll never forget about it. And a bag of marshmallows. Marshmallows for good old daffers. I'll get some for her. I appreciate the suggestion. You take care, Tristan. You too. Bye.
Starting point is 02:47:29 Tristan calling from lovely Seattle. Ocrapicals are wonderful. And meanwhile, Cynthia out in the Bay Area. Oh, but Trump is keeping us so safe. Don't you just love Trump? He cares so much about us. no wonder I feel so safe. Do I need to say not?
Starting point is 02:47:53 But that's what the maggot cult thinks. And, well, Cynthia is growing a tad frustrated. She said, please, I want to open that bottle of champagne. Please. It's only going to get better as it chills. And the right day will eventually come. By the way, I guess the J.D. Egg went to Cincinnati and served up chili dogs and beers at some tavern there. Decent Cincinnatians need to find out which tavern it was so that they know never to darken its doorway.
Starting point is 02:48:43 But what's he doing out there? What's he doing out there, the fiddle-faddling around? he's got a brand new baby at home. Shouldn't he be at home looking after the little one? I mean, he's a family values man, don't you know? But in the larger scheme of things, we talked a bit about Ohio earlier. And, well, those chickens, they just keep coming home to Ruth. Ohio is about to start hemorrhaging jobs and money.
Starting point is 02:49:28 In the next couple of years, they're going to shed 51,000 jobs and $5.3 billion from the state economy, according to the Commonwealth Fund analysis. Meanwhile, more than 50,000 children have lost their SNAP benefits. and their parents, another 50,000 or more because of what Ohio Maggots voted for, namely and two wit. One big billiest bill. And 356,000 more Ohioans will probably lose their health care coverage because of the so-called work requirements. 113,000 Ohioans have already lost health care coverage after the expiration of tax credits. And between February 25 and February 2026, more than any other state in the Union, Ohio lost state enrollment in Affordable Care Act plans.
Starting point is 02:50:48 almost a third of people in Ohio who were on affordable care act plans are no longer insured. Premiums jumped in the marketplace from $126 to $233. That's from the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. And the thing is, it's a self-inflicted wound. I mean, these are some wild-ass numbers. If you live in Ohio, you have to make at least 20,000. $23.82 an hour to afford a ramshackle two-bedroom apartment. And according to Karen Brownlee, a member of the Ohio House,
Starting point is 02:51:43 a Democrat from Sims Township said, the average age now of first-time home ownership in Ohio is 38 years old, but those people don't matter, do they? They're just layabouts. They're just sitting around eating bonbons and going, to the doctor all the time and just making up shit to feel sick about. And what they need is to pull themselves up by their own damn bootstraps. That's what they need to do.
Starting point is 02:52:23 I don't know if Amy Acton's out there talking about this or not. We do know she's talking about wanting the police to work with ICE and having voter IDs. Yeah, I played that clip of Fowell Englund being pissed off at the consultant class over on the maggot side. I wonder who's giving, I wonder who's giving Amy Act in these great fucking ideas. Because they're all designed from no boys and girls sports to let's have voter ID to, let's have police work with the ice goons.
Starting point is 02:53:14 Those are all designed as part of a concerted unicorn hunt. Because some Democrats have still not. not figured out that being, that if offered a choice between Republican light and Republican, a maggot voter will choose the real deal every damn time. God, it's infuriating. But that's the program, y'all. I guess we're going to close the program a goose egg. I hate it when that happens.
Starting point is 02:53:59 So I trust Ralph's will extend the challenge to tomorrow, Friday on the front porch, and we'll look for something even more miraculous. We've got two programs left to bring in 1945. It's a little scary, but every month is, it seems. By the way, back when we were talking about the NTSB, Kim said, and the head of the NTSB to be fired in three, two, one, her days are numbered for sure. after you know
Starting point is 02:54:35 letting the cat out of the bag about the about Marine One maybe bringing down a passenger airliner that is something up with which knit with narrow will not put thank you Ralphs

Starting point is 02:56:36 Please stay safe. Oh, and we have an update from Ms. Micah on her daddy. Hey, all, update on my dad. It's not great. Basically, his neck is screwed up badly and surgery is happening, but we've got to do a bunch of other clearances before we can do that. This is all before we could even think about dealing with his back, which is what put him in the hospital to begin with.
Starting point is 02:57:03 In the meantime, insurance has decided that's enough rehab for you, and they're kicking him out on Saturday. We're dealing, but the community's continued good energies are requested and appreciated. Thanks for my family. I'll keep checking in. Micah, you get all the good energy. Every last bit of it, I have no doubt of it whatsoever. I hope your daddy does. Well, I hope he gets better and quickly.
Starting point is 02:57:35 And that the insurance company stops behaving like, well, an insurance company. And, of course, if the JD egg comes towards you saying, Hey, you want a beer, a hot dog with some cinnamon chili on it? Avoid him like the plague, because he is. And always, always, always, Wayne and Gina, it's all for you. Talk to you a little bit, Victoria. Later.
