Well, howdy. And here we go, off and running on this 28th day of July, 2006. It's Titanic Tuesday on the horn. And, of course, head on.

Starting point is 00:02:36 hi i'm roxan and well every program here at the horn begins with gratitude and this program is no difference so thanks go out to our 28th day of the month subscribers and contributors via of PayPal as we race toward the end of July, desperately hoping to finish the month fully funded. That means thanks to Sharon. Thank you so very kindly. And thanks as well to Charlene and Rokes Island. Thank you Mark. Thank you, Saman.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Thank you all for being partial sponsors to the program. It is why the program continues because, well, I'm not independently wealthy and I can't just do this. all on my own. So thank you for keeping this going for nearly a quarter century. That's quite the accomplishment. Truly, truly, it is. And so, as far as the funding of the month of July is concerned, we are down to $2,1,27,
Starting point is 00:03:51 in our quest to finish the month fully funded. We have today, tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. And so, four Gazenta is it? Four Gazenta, 21. Yeah, that's about $500 per episode, a little more. But close enough, but hopefully, hopefully we will knock that out and actually succeed. it's going to be well who knows
Starting point is 00:04:24 who knows I'd really hope to not have a deficit going into August so fingers crossed you know but to get the program started we do have a
Starting point is 00:04:38 $25 challenge on the table courtesy of Ralphs up in New Jersey and that she will happily double the first 25 bucks that comes in in note
Starting point is 00:04:56 of well this story it's been a while since we heard anything from sister clerk Kim Davis down in Round County Kentucky R-O-W-A-N
Starting point is 00:05:16 Round County Kentucky from whence I have some relatives of my own but, well, not her branch of the Davis is, I'm guessing. Yeah, my great-grandmother, Viola Luzetta, was born in Farmers, a little community in Round County, the county seat of which is Moorhead. and you'll recall that it was Sister Clerk Kim Davis who, based on her deeply held religious beliefs,
Starting point is 00:05:58 said that she just couldn't bring herself to issue a merge license to a couple of gay guys because it goes again the Bible. Nah, well, of course, there's really nothing in the Bible about being gay. that crap in Leviticus is not, it has no relevance, and it doesn't even necessarily mean what most people think that the Elizabethan English meant.
Starting point is 00:06:36 But at any rate, she couldn't do it, she wouldn't do it. And, of course, her deplet held religious beliefs didn't stop her from getting, from changing marriages. more often than some of her fellow round county and changed their underwear. But she was represented by the Liberty Council, 501C3, tax-exempt grift. And, well, pastor, minister, former governor, presidential candidate, and diabetes snake oil cure salesman, Mike Hooksterby, was right there. alongside with her and of course now he is the Jesus it's weird to say ambassador to Israel
Starting point is 00:07:31 out there just looking for that great day when Jesus comes down out of the clouds in his holy rolls and tells us Christians like Mike Hux to start a massacre in any Jew what won't acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah.
Starting point is 00:07:52 That's a Of course, that's all, you know, what's past is prologue, Shakespeare said. And so that's the prologue. Well, you might, it should be noted that people who have been wronged and proven right in court tend to be rather implacable when it comes to collecting the money that's doing, owing. Look at the life lesson of, say, I don't know, Orrin Ball James Simpson
Starting point is 00:08:29 He didn't have a peaceful day for the rest of his life After the trial jury Issued judgment against him for millions and millions of dollars Well in Sister Clerk Kim Davis's case It's only a half a million or so But being the good Christian Wallman That she is she tried to squirrel away assets
Starting point is 00:08:58 so that the men she wronged couldn't get at it, namely David Aremold and David Moore, the plaintiffs whom she originally refused to grant a marriage license, they got a judgment of more than $565,000 and it has come out since that, oh, back a couple of weeks ago,
Starting point is 00:09:31 they had to file suit against Sister Clerk Kim Davis because she was playing fast and loose with the property trying to evade the judgment. In their complaint, David and David said that, lo and behold, she was transferring inherited real estate and other estate assets a year ago to relatives
Starting point is 00:10:01 and a trust that's managed by her husband and her son and that of course David Ermold and David Moore haven't seen a penny of the judgment against her. And so it is that in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
Starting point is 00:10:19 Round Circuit Court they have filed sued against Sister Clerk Kim, Kimberly Jean Davis, aka Kimberly Bailey Davis, Daryl, that's spelled D-A-R-O-L-D, Rayburn Bailey Jr., Christy Smith Bailey, Joe Davis, individual and he is co-trustee of the Kane Family Trust, and Nathan Davis individually, and as co-trustee of the Kane Family Trust. In other words, she's practiced a fraud upon Messier's airmold and more, and, in fact, the courts and the legal system in general. So what it works out to is that Sister Clerk Kim and her brother inherited about $735,000
Starting point is 00:11:22 in estate assets back in early 25 after their mama. went on to her long home. And of that, three parcels are Round County real estate. And she transferred her half interest into the Kane or Keene Family Trust where her husband and her son are the co-trustees. And then in discovery, oh, there's that word. Anything? Huh.
Starting point is 00:12:09 My magic button is gone. Dang on it. Oh, well. Discovery. Yeah. Under oath, she said, well, I ain't got no property, and I ain't made no asset transfers.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Those were both lies. And she continues to live on one of the properties that she transferred. So hopefully The sale of the property will be cried as the legal term goes On the courthouse steps And I don't know Sister Clerk Kim Davis can Go and live in a storm drain for all I care
Starting point is 00:12:59 In fact that's probably more than she actually deserves Okay We'll give her a refrigerator carton all right don't ever say that I'm not that I'm not compassionate got a hell of a lot more compassion than sister clerk Kim did after spending some time as long as the court could keep her in the stir for contempt gee Kimmy I hope it doesn't hurt too little yeah so there's a $25 challenge out for that if anybody would like to double their money to 50 $Round County
Starting point is 00:13:52 Lee in New York asking being silly with Lathin in my brain Dan Round County next to Dick Martin County oddly enough you might be surprised to find out that Round County and Martin County Kentucky are rather near one another My Kentucky geography is not such that I can recall specifically but hell they may even border each other
Starting point is 00:14:17 or maybe there's one county in between the two. Lee saying, I'll show myself out. Signed Lee in Queens County, Mike Tara. Yes. Oh, and by the way, if you're so inclined, stick around this evening or hop on over to Progressive Voices on Tune In, where Tara and I will be filling in for Mike Malloy once again. we always have a good time and I hope you enjoy it as well
Starting point is 00:14:50 now about that password beer it no dang it that wasn't supposed to happen although that was that awesome song that Paul from Parts I'd known sent us chaotic stupid forever I kept it up on my in my tabs because I find it
Starting point is 00:15:15 pleasing to listen to time to time. No, but about that password beer. Not B-E-E-R, but B-I-E-R. And of course, that's the German spelling, but still not that kind of beer.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Today, well, Washington said goodbye to Lady G, Miss Lindsay, with a memorial ceremony in the National Cathedral that he damned well didn't deserve. And so I could not help but think, ask not for whom the twink tinks, Lady G. It tinks for thee. Bless his heart. There's no doubt in my mind that I can't help but wonder. Back when he was just a lad,
Starting point is 00:16:24 growing up in cool, no really cool South Carolina, where his mama and daddy run a pool hall and lunch counter. I wonder did a young Lady G., who I'm sure was already being described by his teachers there in the public schools of South Carolina Stan as being, He's such a sensitive boy. Well, I wonder if it ever crossed his mind that eventually
Starting point is 00:17:09 he would find himself on his beer, B-I-E-R, in the National Cathedral, being grumbled and grunted over by a narcissistic egomaniac who couldn't even stay on topic in trying to deliver
Starting point is 00:17:35 some words of what eulogy condolence over his twink dead corpse mhm nitwit Nero
Starting point is 00:17:57 was nothing short of disgusting And also, well, apparently a mite sleepy, sitting there in the pews with none other than beer-boof and brat Kavanaugh, just two rows behind him. I can't tell from the photo if his law clerks squee and quiff went with him. but seated next to his vice president, the JD-Agg, and Scott Bessent, and his weirdo son, Eric the Dumber. I guess that's melanoma at the end, although her head is turned, but I'm guessing from the die job. God, cue the My Three Sons theme.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Jady, Scotty, and Ericie. Well, guess who nodded off? Yeah. Couldn't make it through the funeral. In fact, he's slumped over like he's about to go Q-Face. You know, at this point in time, you never know when that moment's going to come. Maybe that's all it'll happen. He'll just be sitting there one minute a little, and then...
Starting point is 00:19:35 Cue-face eat it. I'm going Q-face. face. Yeah, the assembled creeps were there. I see Russell Vote. I see little Marco Rubio Doug Bergum
Starting point is 00:19:51 the aforementioned beerboof and babbubbrab brat. A little bitty Mark Wayne Mullen is there. As we noted yesterday, the investor in gas station heroin.
Starting point is 00:20:06 And lo and behold, unless I'm Unless this is AI. Volodymyr Zelensky. In the crowd is nitwitnero. His head drooping nods off and lulls off to sleep. And dreams of those heady days when he could get away with everything. He'd never sexually abused.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Adrian Carroll, perhaps dreaming of the rapes that committed against the 13-year-old little girl back then with his buddy. Jeffrey Epstein. Yep. Sound asleep. And so he's out like a light. I don't know who's speaking at the time Mark Wayne Mullen looks like he wants to either fight him or shoot him
Starting point is 00:21:23 whomever it is thanks for that photo Jeremy I appreciate it from Lee in New York the ladybugs remain in mourning oh no the ladybugs flew away home fly away home ladybugs fly away home and Lee also pointing out the Lady G eulogy.
Starting point is 00:21:48 We know that POTUS will be as gracious as he was at the White House Correspondents dinner and just as humorous. Well, I mean, that's true. He gave something that passed for a eulogy, and as soon as he sat down, he was out like a light. And even when he was standing, those lined up by the coffin again
Starting point is 00:22:26 him Jimmy Dick Bowman or whatever his name is Scott Bessent Eric the Dumber and I guess Lara L-A-L-A-L-A-L-R-A-L-R-A-L-R-A-R-A and Nero's everybody else is sort of
Starting point is 00:22:49 standing starchly at attention and nitwit Niro, well, his posture looks like he's a, he looks like a sack of potatoes that's about to go over sideways. Yeah. And so it was that he eulogized his former golf buddy, Lady G., saying as follows. Heated things got in Washington virtually everyone, Republican or Democrat liked Lindsay.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Well, not everybody, but it sounds good. Not everybody. He was a tough cookie, okay? I have to be. I have to veer from this first. He was a tough cookie, darling. But he was beautiful. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:23:48 He was beautiful. Says the guy who has been rhapsodizing over men of late. MMA, punch-drunk MMA brawlers, football quarterbacks, Arnold Palmer's Schlong a couple of years ago. Well, not everybody liked him, but it's nice to say. Because he can't stay on script. One person noting, he cared so much about Lindsay, he didn't read his own prepared remarks before the funeral. And so it is that that, that.
Starting point is 00:24:37 That phenomenon known as twink death among gay guys. Well, like Truman Capote was a case of twink death. He was an adorable little gay boy in his youth and received tremendous accolades. And then, well, he turned into tubby old Truman Capote. Same sort of thing happened to Lady G. Who enjoyed his red lace lingerie while young pre-transition sex workers did unspeakable things to him for unbelievable amounts of money. money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:51 And of course, it had, because he's a narcissist, it had to be about him. It had to be about nitwit Nero. We may get some more of the same, what we heard just a moment ago, but this clip is
Starting point is 00:26:10 slightly longer and considerably more, well, unhinged. It was a bit to make at the time. And when he met the Dalai Lama, Lindsay, looked him straight in the eyes and said, so can you really levitate?
Starting point is 00:26:27 Dalai Lama was not happy with that. But no matter how high he rose, he never forgot where he came from. There's probably not a single town in South Carolina where Lindsay did not help repair a bridge, expand a school, improve a hospital, or recover from a disaster. It was a force of nature, and I will miss him greatly. As you remember, Lindsay and I did not exactly get off to the best of starts. Running against each other, back in 2016, Lindsay said something rather nasty on his flight to becoming the next president of the United States.
Starting point is 00:27:10 So naturally, I did something that I shouldn't have done. I shared his personal cell phone number with the millions of people that happened to be watching that particular day. as I made a speech, a very important speech. And I remember the number, 202, 228, 0292, if anybody wants to give it a shot. His phone exploded. He said I had that number for 20 years. You know, considering the fact that Psychobibi Netanyahu was in the assembled crowd, I wouldn't make jokes about phones exploding if I were nitwit Nero,
Starting point is 00:27:46 but I'm not Nittwit Nero, so, well, yeah. I mean that. Yeah, a man wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity flew with impunity to the United States to attend the funeral of a knob polisher. Because God knows, Lindsay polished his knob, Netanyahu's, with every opportunity, and I'm sure cashed every single one of those sweet, Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet A-PAC checks. Phone totally, I don't know what he did with it, but it exploded. That was the beginning of a friendship in a way. But it was Lindsay who had the last laugh because while I blew up his phone,
Starting point is 00:28:41 oh, for one day, we became great friends, and Lindsay did not stop calling me for the next 10 years. Yeah, you're right, nitlit Nero? He didn't stop calling me for the last ten years. What he, what, what, what the boils down to is he was, he was a sycophant and a suck-up, but his most profound words should probably go on his tombstone, Lady Jee's. If we nominate Donald Trump, it will be the destruction of the, of the Republican Party, and we will do. deserve it.
Starting point is 00:29:31 And it's true. The Republican Party that people knew of old, odious as it could be, is gone. It's dead. It was on life support before, you know, that moderates and liberal Republicans went the way of the dinosaur or the dodo. Moderate Republicans turned out to just be lick, spittles and suckups like, and covence. And now, whatever that party once was, a party that once contained people like Barry Goldwater,
Starting point is 00:30:13 who would go to Richard Nixon and say, ah, you know, we can't defend you in the Senate, and you're going to get impeached, and you're going to get convicted, and you're going to be the first president ever removed from office. I'd quit if I were you. Barry Goldwater, who in 1964 in his presidential campaign said that, hey, you know, maybe we'll need to use nuclear weapons in a first strike someday saying that, what is it, patriotism in the defense of liberty is no vice.
Starting point is 00:30:55 his campaign slogan was in his heart you know he's right the Johnson campaign got hold of that and turned that into but in your guts you know he's nuts the daisy ad that aired like one time and changed an entire campaign a little girl picking petals off a daisy with a nuclear mushroom cloud in the background. But, you know, Lindsay was a suck-up.
Starting point is 00:31:37 And when he decided to be a suck-up, he stayed sucked up, just like Nitwit Niro said. I always cherish the memories of our golf games, and only because of his really, and I will say, this memorial service is so hard to say. A memorial service for Lindsay, it's hard to say. but I'll admit that Well, I'm sure it is hard to say
Starting point is 00:32:02 being as how he's barely got any frontal cortex left absolutely awash in frontotemporal dementia and God only knows I mean, after he sat down after this that's when he went sleepy by
Starting point is 00:32:19 the meds only take him so far and memorial that's not an emotional statement memorial service is not hard for him to say because he so misses Miss Lindsay. It's hard for him to say because words are hard for him to say. One time Lindsey Graham and Anika Sorensum actually beat me and Gary player together.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Can you believe that Anika played very well that day actually? But right to the end, Lindsay carried it in his golf bag, the putter that once belonged to his dad. And he carried it with him with class and with a rube. ring that was so beautiful of his mother and they were laying right at his bedside. How convenient. I bet those little sex workers made his putter flutter. So goodbye, Lindsay. Right. Oh, and Flavio says Laura. I love Laura and Dr. Javago. God, Julie Christie was beautiful in Netflix. Yes, she was. Yes, she was. And Laura Trump, uh, it ain't. nothing
Starting point is 00:33:50 like what yeah yeah Magaloko face let's believe it at that yeah Ralphs he was good looking darling he can't talk anymore
Starting point is 00:34:04 Ralphs so he was actually saying he was good looking darling but yeah the goddess of irony was busy today
Starting point is 00:34:21 was the healthiest senator there Lee asks After so many years together in the Senate I would expect only death would prevent Mitch McConnell From staying away Right, right But he wasn't there What could possibly be the reason
Starting point is 00:34:41 The latest photo that we talked about in yesterday's program Is being relentlessly memed of late My favorite Theo sent it along to me He was one of Moscow Mitch as Wayne and Elaine as Garth. Wayne's World party time. Excellent. Nobody's buying this one either, this latest photo. Because among other things,
Starting point is 00:35:22 one person who actually knew the Chow family growing up, did a reverse image search on the blouse that Elaine Chow is wearing in the latest photo. And what did he find out? Now, this woman is immensely wealthy. Probably not going to be shopping, say, at Wally World. and pointed out that the blouse she's wearing from a reverse image search, similar to the one that was done on Andrew Taint the other day when he was arrested wearing an adorable little pair of clam diggers
Starting point is 00:36:30 and ballerina flats and a magenta satin blouse unbuttoned down to his navel. Those reverse image searches can be helpful. Jeff Yang comes from the Call Us Bruce podcast and said he's known members of the Chow family since college. And over on Blue Sky, he posted the picture of Elaine sitting there grinning next to her husband, ostensibly. It's all AI. And noted, I can't imagine Elaine, one of the most put-together people in existence, releasing a pick wearing a thin shirt over a visible black bra untucked it's the blouse that's untucked not the bra and he went on to say that that blouse came from chikos which is a rather popular store for what's described as tweens and teens
Starting point is 00:37:46 and goes for about 12 bucks. Yeah. And so it is that Jeff Yang concluded saying, Most implausible aspect of the image, all caps, Elaine is depicted wearing a $12 Chico's shirt. Holy crap, she would rather die. And then said, no, I haven't had any contact with in a long time, so it's not like I can get any comment.
Starting point is 00:38:22 But then said, cryptically regardless everything will unravel soon yeah August 4th or afterward because
Starting point is 00:38:38 and he's doing it in the nicest way possible Andy Bashir the governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky is trying to get answers over at
Starting point is 00:38:53 CNN speaking to Boris Sanchez Paul Paul Begala, who you might recall, was on air with Tuckio Rose Carlson, back when John Stewart destroyed CNN's crossfire by suggesting that maybe the two of them should stop being such dicks. Well, Paul Begala offered up his estimation of the situation. mentioned a letter that has come out that Andy Bashir, another letter has sent hoping to get some sort of a response from McConnell's people or his office or Elaine, if she isn't too busy shopping for $12 blouses at Chico's. Fully aware of the gravity of that charge. He wants to tell us that our votes don't count and they don't matter.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Those votes are sacred. Some I've won, some I've lost, but they're all sacred. And he's trying to, he's lying to the American people and telling them that their votes aren't fair or accurate or honest. And that undermines the entire democracy. I think he's doing that because he knows he's going to lose the midterms. Look, Democrats are going to certainly win the House, maybe win the Senate. So he's setting the stage to undermine our democracy after 99 days. That's my worry.
Starting point is 00:40:26 The president-ambasseter is pushing Senate Republicans to stay in, town through August recess until they passed the SAVE Act. Here's what he said about it today. Why do you want the U.S. Senate to stay in town? Should they be out of those countries? Why? What a stupid question? Do you ask?
Starting point is 00:40:42 What a stupid question? Why do I want? The SAVE Act has to be done. They shouldn't leave town. I'm not going to stop it from doing it, but they should get the SAVE Act done. I think the reporter there was trying to make the point that this recess is very important to senators and Congress people who are trying to get reelected. How do Republicans make this request from Trump to stay through this important time for them?
Starting point is 00:41:05 Well, I mean, the smell of jet fumes that affects every politician at home, whether it's the August recess or right before elections. So, no, I don't suppose they'll be staying in town. He doesn't have the votes, and he shouldn't have the votes. Since when have Republicans who have always been suspicious of centralized power wanted to have the federal government more in charge of elections. The fact that, you know, votes are dispersed, and the power to regulate votes is dispersed is the best protection we have. I love the fact that now Jeff Flakey,
Starting point is 00:41:39 formerly a senator from Arizona, is a talking head on CNN. You know, he's another one of those senators who bailed out rather than face the wrath of nitwit Niro's electoral bullying. Jesus. and you're relevant how? Right.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Against, you know, the fraud that the president talks about. So, yeah, he doesn't have the votes and they shouldn't stay in town for that reason. Maybe some other reasons, but not that one. Amisha, Senator, Senate leader, John Thune, try to make that case about not having the votes to President Trump unsuccessfully. He also rejected killing the filibuster to pass the SAVE Act despite Trump's demands. How are Democrats viewing Thune's response to Trump? his ability seemingly to stand up to him. Well, I think that Democrats are excited that we're finally seeing some level of Republicans actually,
Starting point is 00:42:40 you know, owning the muster, but also being smart enough to recognize that the SAVE Act, as well as these voting rights threats to a point made just a moment ago are threats against our democracy writ large. This is a president who has gone out of his way to keep repeating the same thing over and over again, because he assumes that the more that he says it, the more somebody out there is going to believe him. But more importantly, he is trying to diminish faith. and I would argue every federal system with the exception of his own power. So he is trying to diminish it in Congress. He is trying to diminish it in the courts.
Starting point is 00:43:09 You name the system he is trying to diminish the public's belief in it, but he's also trying to enshrine himself as the only person who can be the path forward for the American people. And I think that everyone should be frustrated by it because not only does it threaten your vote, your choice, whether or not you even have the right to access a polling place, regardless of race, because the Save Act goes beyond him trying to limit black people. He's been doing that forever. This is about a lot more than that. And I think that at this point, there has to be a recognition that this is a president who will do anything within his power and many things outside of it to totally reshape the way we envision our government.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Speaking of Senate Republicans, Ambassador, I want to ask you about this image newly released of Senator Mitch McConnell. He's been absent given illness. He released a new statement along with the photo. It's from yesterday. He's seen next to his wife, Elaine Child. The statement says he's still undergoing intensive physical therapy after what they say was a fall in June. his doctor states, quote, he is not yet medically clear to leave the rehab facility and return to the office. Democrats have been calling for McConnell to resign his seat amid this extended absence.
Starting point is 00:44:12 You and your colleagues together in the Senate, or you were colleagues with him together in the Senate. Should he step down if he can't do his job? Well, over an extended period of time, if he can't, but I don't think we're there yet. And I think we've got to cut his slack. I've been in the Senate when I've seen a number of members stay far too long. when they should have retired. He's at the end of his term. He's had a, you know, tough, you know, tough road of it in the last little bit,
Starting point is 00:44:40 but I'd cut him some slack, certainly. Notably, he is retiring. He's not running for re-election. It would be completely different. Ultimately, there are five legislative weeks left between now and the election. And then the lame duck session. So the actual impact on this is pretty minimal. Paul, before we go, Kentucky Governor Andy Bashir had a message for McConnell.
Starting point is 00:45:00 He says that either the state's senior senator should explain his long absence, give details about his health, or resign. He sent a blunt letter to McConnell, to McConnell, and we have a portion of it. He says, I am addressing this letter to Senator McConnell under the assumption that he is capable of reading and responding verbally, not incapacitated by means of consciousness or cognition. As governor of the state you serve, I am calling on you to directly and verbally address the people of Kentucky and provide proof of your capacity to serve or resign. He also sent a letter to Leader Thune as well. Do you agree with how Bashir is handling this?
Starting point is 00:45:35 Should he perhaps, as the ambassador said, cut him some slack? Well, I think many of his colleagues would cut them slack because they work with him. But McConnell works for the people of Kentucky. So does Andy Bashir. They do have a right to have a senator. And, you know, Thomas Jefferson said this at our founding. When a person assumes a public office, they become a public trust. They become public property.
Starting point is 00:45:55 And McConnell owes us that kind of disclosure. By the way, for people who don't know him, I do. Andy Bashir is like one of the nicest, kindest people I've ever met in this business. He's not a horrible flamethrower like me. He's actually a really decent, kind person. So for him to be saying that, it must be very, very grave. And we should know that. I will also note I'm very glad Senator McConnell's good health care.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Taxpayers pay for it. He opposes that health care for those same taxpayers. I'm glad he has medical leave. He opposes that for taxpayers. It's the only job in the world where the hired help gets better benefits than the owners. Let me share quick 10 seconds, your thoughts. If it was five weeks left or two weeks left, the public deserves to know. They elected him.
Starting point is 00:46:34 They supported him. And I think that it is really messed up, first and foremost, that this has gone on for this long because it kind of seems like a charade at this point. I fundamentally believe he is still alive and he is in the hospital and that he is incapacitated. But to be incapacitated, you still have to issue to the public, the public that supported you, the public of the state in which you reside and you benefit from to know what exactly is going. on. This is just wrong, and it's been too long. And a static photo is not helped, especially in the new world of AI. We should, we should remember, though, who did Mitch McConnell beat for the Senate in 1996, Andy Bashir's father? Yeah, so what? But bingo, in the world of AI, I mean, do we really think the Elaine Chow wears $12 blouses from Chico's? Really, really? And frankly, nothing short of
Starting point is 00:47:31 an in-person meeting will do at this point because we're through the AI rabbit hole. We're way down it. And even a video of him, deep fakes are getting deeper and faker by the minute. So honestly, the only way, and the very idea that his people think that a photo is, proof of life is ridiculous. They know we live in the AI world too, but
Starting point is 00:48:12 they're in a desperate situation that's based upon, well, Moscow Mitch's own moniker, the long game. And so I continue to say that this has a double purpose.
Starting point is 00:48:33 He's retiring after the at the end of the term but I think he does still despise nitwit Nero and taking one vote away in the Senate
Starting point is 00:48:51 is one big vote with the narrow margin that the Republicans have therein and so as the one individual said I don't care if it's two weeks or five legislative weeks the public deserves to know
Starting point is 00:49:10 and from a political standpoint point, the other thing he's probably trying to do, or his people are probably trying to do, is ward off that potential in a special election of a candidacy by Thomas Massey. Because then APEC would have to spend another billion dollars, like they did getting him out of his congressional seat, and this is not me being a Thomas Massey fan, but he deserves, There's at least some gratitude for working bipartisanly with Rokana on trying to force the release of the Epstein files. And, you know, Paul Begala, good for you.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Pointing out that he has the best health care in the world, but made sure that nobody else could have it. Doubly hypocritical being as how he benefited from the research. funded by the March of Dimes when he had polio as a child there in Colbert County, Alabama, across the river from where I done growed up. I don't know how much longer they can maintain this charade. Ha ha, charade, you are. But Cynthia, going back to Miss Lindsay, Lady G, good riddance Lady G, says Cynthia, I won't be Miss. missing you. Nope. Not at all. You did enough harm to this country and beyond. Good riddance. Don't hurry back. Not like you could. Just be gone. Even from our memory, just be gone. And if there is an afterlife, perhaps it will have the eternal shrieks and screams of the children in Gaza that he helped murder. and you know I'm not the only one who has dared to suggest that he might be in the great beyond in an unpleasant spot
Starting point is 00:51:50 none other than Stephanie Ruhl over at MS now did the same thing similarly in the coverage of the memorial service we're expecting to see in his capital rotunda ceremony because we're going to to hear from obviously the president, John Thune, Fox News personality, Sean Hannity, those who are very, very close to Lindsey Graham. Yes, Steph, it's an emotional day up here on Capitol Hill, particularly for members of Congress who have served alongside Lindsey Graham for decades, but it's also a day of celebration, somebody who dedicated his life to public service. Lindsay Graham first started serving in the United States Senate in 2003.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Before that, he represented South Carolina in the House, and then before. before then in the State House. So he is somebody who really dedicated decades of his life to public service. As you mentioned, as this ceremony gets underway in the Capitol Rotunda, we're going to be hearing from John Thune and Vice President J.D. Vance to people who served alongside Lindsay Graham. After that, his casket will head to National Cathedral, where his funeral will take place. We'll hear remarks from President Trump then. And then tomorrow he heads back to South Carolina one final time to the State House in addition to a church. And of course, Lindsey Graham leaves a void as he is leaving Washington, as he's leaving South Carolina,
Starting point is 00:53:14 particularly up on Capitol Hill. He was somebody who was seen as the Trump whisper, somebody who folks would go to to understand how President Trump was thinking about a particular matter, someone who President Trump would go to to hear about the dynamics in the Senate GOP conference. And then, of course, there's his void that he leaves on the world stage, which should not be understated because he dedicated his public service career to promoting a muscular U.S. foreign policy on the world stage. He's somebody who very much so was central to pushing President Trump to join Israel and striking Iran back in February, which is like I said. He is somebody who was so supportive of President of Ukraine and was constantly in President
Starting point is 00:53:53 Trump's ear about that matter. And look, it is a void that he is leaving, but his legacy is certainly not lost up here on Capitol Hill. Later today, the Senate is going to take the first procedural vote on a bill to slap sanctions on both. Russia and Iran. This is a matter that Lindsey Graham has been working on for months. There were a number of starts and stops, but there was finally this compromise. It's going to be named in his honor that piece of legislation. And the last thing I'll leave you with Steph is there was a report in Axios that shortly before Lindsey Graham passed away, he joked that he couldn't die yet because he still needed to slap sanctions on Russia. He needed
Starting point is 00:54:27 to see through the war in Iran. I think that he would be smiling knowing that this Russia-Iran sanctions bill is going to start making its way through Congress on the day of his future. funeral. Mark, Lindsay Graham was a complicated political figure. I mean, even his relationship with Donald Trump, deeply complicated, but also consequential. What made him that? Well, he was a politician from central casting. He was kind of like a Mickey Rooney character. And so, and I mean that's sort of in the best and the worst ways about politicians. I mean, he was a true public servant. I think that was a good characteristic in him. But he also was really needed relevance, which is why he saw this shift to supporting Donald Trump the way that he did, which complicates
Starting point is 00:55:20 his legacy for sure. I got to know him when I worked for John McCain, and he was part of the Three Amigos group with John McCain and Joe Lieberman. Yeah, I'm guessing he and John McCain are having very complicated conversations right now. Absolutely. If they are in the same place. It's It's interesting. It's interesting because even given where Lindsay's gone kind of on Iran, he would make McCain look like a dove right now. But one interesting story about him when I was around him during that period of McCain's presidential campaign is that he was advocating for something that could have been so historically
Starting point is 00:55:54 consequential, which was the notion that John McCain should consider Joe Lieberman to be his vice president. And Lindsey Graham was advocating. He was a huge advocate for it. He loved Joe Lieberman. But the problem was, and the irony, was that the reason that it didn't happen was because Lindsay loved to talk. He talked about it to the press. It got leaked out to the press. It became public. And then, of course, there was huge pushback from the GOP powers on McCain saying that'd be crazy to do that. You know, half the convention would walk out, which I think would have been great, because it would have so reinforced his message about country over party to pick Lieberman who had been a Democrat and was an independent. but it was both something he advocated for and ultimately blew up because he was such a loud mouth. That's extraordinary. We're going to take a quick break. Our coverage of Senator Graham's funeral ceremony continues in 90 seconds.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Don't go anywhere. Yeah, we don't care. So the thing I'm left with after this is trying to figure out who, you know, she said, John and Lindsay, if they're in the same place. Well, if they aren't in the same place, which one's in hell, Steph? I mean, this is all just a silly and consequential argument because there is no heaven, there is no hell. These are concepts that were dreamed up by people who lived in filth in the Bronze Age, couldn't get clean, didn't know why it rained,
Starting point is 00:57:22 and dreamed of an afterlife where everything would just be clean and nice with streets paved with, gold. Because in the late Bronze Age they really loved their gold too. This is before coins were even invented. They loved gold in the form of ornamentation and gie-gaws and ceremonial garb and crowns and hats and shoes and rings and whatnot. But, yeah, So, yeah, I figure they are if there is an afterlife, which there isn't. I figure they're together.
Starting point is 00:58:19 And, yeah, they're enjoying, they're not enjoying some really, really hot weather. You know what grows really well in hot weather? Pineapples. Pineapples grow really well in hot weather. Not saying. just saying so uh jesus it's some of this may seem silly some of it may see silly some of it but i think there's a gravity behind it that is truly truly frightening a president in the throes of frontotemporal dementia who is being kept alive by massive amounts of
Starting point is 00:59:29 various pharmaceuticals and it's more and more it isn't working earlier today nitwit nero called into his pals at fox and fiends and had a little chit-chat with brian kilmead about iran and it was uh oh i think the only fair thing to say is it was it was bonkers No, no, the tariffs have I mean, it's a shame that I have to go A harder way for the tariffs Because the Supreme Court
Starting point is 01:00:22 In a very close decision You're ruled against me Now I have other ways of doing the same thing But it's a more cumbersome You know, the way of doing it But the tariffs have made this country a fortune It made the country rich And I stopped eight wars I would say
Starting point is 01:00:39 Same old song Same old dance same old dementia patient by the way we have started paying out the tariffs that the government has started paying out some of the tariffs that they owe to companies that had to deal
Starting point is 01:00:58 with them five of them because of terrorists the threat of tariffs stopped India and Pakistan from going into a nuclear war the threat of tariffs stopped numerous other countries from going to work these tariffs it's the greatest thing and only the really smart people
Starting point is 01:01:19 or the people that are non-political and that get it, talk about the Democrats know how good it's been. No, no, the tariffs have, I mean, it's a shame that I have to go. Jesus, not even orbiting, not even on this planet, not even orbiting it anymore. He's somewhere out in the, in the Van Derp belt between the Moron, and the thanosphere. I ended eight words, five of them, because it's Harris.
Starting point is 01:02:05 If it weren't, if it were anybody but Fox, I'd wonder what happens when they go to break, you know? What happens? Do they look at each other? Do you believe that? Of course, it is Fox News TV Radio Rwanda, so necessarily it's,
Starting point is 01:02:30 oh, our dear leader is so, great and wonderful. Yeah. These are frightening times. And look, it's been this way. We were talking about his dementia in his first
Starting point is 01:02:58 squatting in the Oval Office. I mean, Lord God, the photos of him just keep getting worse because it's getting more and more difficult to make him look alive.
Starting point is 01:03:23 In fact, going back to that first term and the COVID pandemic, well, Senator Rand Paul, libertarian ophthalmologist and that thing on his head, got hold of diary entries by Dr. Anthony Fauci, his personal diary. I suppose, perhaps Rand Paul thought that he was going to find some smoking gun, but instead, it turns out that there are diary entries about just how unhinged Canckel's Caligula was in his first squatting. Fouchy first met, nitwit Nero, on the 29th of January 2020. They were in the situation room. Nitwit Nero came up to Fauci.
Starting point is 01:04:39 And the diary entry says the president came in and the first thing he said as he looked at me was, Anthony, you're a really famous guy. And he stayed for about 20 minutes and peppered Fauci with questions as his deputies just looked on, slack-jawed, mouths open, catching flies. But from January 20th, 29th, 2020, to March of 2020, in that short span of time, things degraded significantly.
Starting point is 01:05:22 By March 27th, almost two full months later, Dr. Fauci says this in his diary. Very laborious press conference where the POTUS rambled on. He wasted the opportunity to just focus on the relief pack. and went into his diatribe against previous administrations. That was the 27th. By March the 28th, he was even further gone. There was a meeting, the 28th. And of that meeting, Dr. Fauci said,
Starting point is 01:06:01 amazing interaction with POTUS. I led the discussion since the POTUS kept referring to me. It was a disturbingly rambling discussion. since he kept talking about TV ratings and hydroxychloroquine and influenza and virtually everything else, as I was trying to keep him on track with the help of the vice president. That would have been Mike Pencilneck geek. He then said, I insisted through the rambling and lack of attention span, but the potus explicitly say that this is not a quarantine.
Starting point is 01:06:42 And if March was bad, by August the bar was in hell. In his diary entries, Dr. Fauci says that, well, Trump's just gone. He's throwing around the F word and ranting incoherently. August the 4th. Hard to believe that in a short time that will be six years ago. On August the 4th, Fauci wrote, He's desperate and still does not understand the pandemic. Very interesting encounter.
Starting point is 01:07:20 By August the 7th, he was sinking further. POTUS acting even more erratically keeps insisting that increased case numbers are due only to increased testing, ignoring the increases in percent positive hospitalizations and deaths per N, greater than 1,000 per day. We remember that. I would, yeah, I'd run on the prediction market and place a time. tiny wager as to how many other Americans do? Because tens of millions of Americans had their minds poisoned. Not the COVID, but by the insane ramblings of the man who is squatting in the White House once again with a lot of help, you know, from people pushing hydroxychloroquine,
Starting point is 01:08:28 ivermectin Ardvark antifungal bleach enemas light bulbs up butts I mean looking back it almost seems
Starting point is 01:08:44 unreal how insane that time was when it did not have to be that way and when in fact it did begin to improve once this fuck left the Oval Office
Starting point is 01:09:02 Yeah? So I wonder now What kind of Shitstorm These revelations will raise Well, who wasn't rambling? Everybody who's ever been in an Oval Office meeting knows he rambles. I forget who the guy was,
Starting point is 01:09:24 but I heard him in an interview on public radio one day Talking about how a cabinet meeting isn't really a cabinet meeting with this orange pedophile clown, that people walk in and out and his attention can be diverted by the decorator showing up with swatches for his curtains and completely diverting his focus. The topic could be, oh, I don't know, this God-forsaken stupid war in Iran against Iran. and a squirrel when somebody comes in to show him some new tacky decorations for the Oval Office.
Starting point is 01:10:19 By the time he leaves, what do you think the chances are that the entire room is just tacky gold? Never mind the wallpaper, just spray over it with Krylon and have done. crylon gold because that's what makes him happy it reminds me of what the Spanish said when they landed in central Mexico we have a disease
Starting point is 01:10:48 of the heart and it can only be cured by gold it wasn't particularized to that time and place or the Inca filling a room with gold to ransom
Starting point is 01:11:09 himself from the captivity of Pizarro and his thugs. Back to Mitch McConnell for a minute, because while it's fun, I guess, to play the game of where's Addison? That's his first name, Addison Mitchell McConnell. There are, as we have noted, significant political implications, but also medical implications. and now and and this idea oh well i've not been cleared to leave my rehabilitation facilitar so the doctor is stopping him i'd be up and walking right out of here if they just let me go um but dr anahida doa speaking to the daily beast
Starting point is 01:12:23 said something here doesn't uh well it doesn't job it doesn't job especially that working hard to return to the Senate and Kentucky soon. Dr. Dua, speaking to the beast, said, rehab for frailty where you need to learn to walk and stuff again. Takes time to build up strength is in months. That's how long it takes. Months of exercises in constant rehab, sometimes up to three hours, four hours of rehab a day.
Starting point is 01:13:01 Why are we having this ridiculous expectation of him? and why is he portraying this ridiculous expectation that he's going to get back to it? If what they're saying is true that they're working on Senate-related issues with this patient that is working on his rehab, that's atrocious. If I was his doctor, I would put the kibosh on that right away. And she added, and this is a matter of compassion, not criticism. Dr. Dua said, I hope the staffers are lying. And actually, he's getting the opportunity as he deserves, as all patients.
Starting point is 01:13:46 do to rest and recuperate without the added stress of running his state as a senator. It just sounds so ridiculous. She went on to say that he could be there for another month or months considering his age, his hospitalization, his rather lengthy history of fall down and go boom, his frailty. Remember that one time that he fell in the Capitol something? and basically they dragged him off like a sack of wet cement. Yeah. But then again, there's always the possibility that it's all a lie.
Starting point is 01:14:34 He just had a fall. Even though he wouldn't put house shoes on? Generally, they're sitting right there by the bed. You swing your little feats is over and into the house shoes they, go and you and you shuffle off to the to the potty and where did he fall when did he fall how did he fall does he not have constant in-home care none of it adds up or if it does add up it adds up to nothing more than political chicanery so it's hard to tell in terms of who's lying and who ain't so we are well into the second hour of the program
Starting point is 01:15:47 Ralph's has a $25 sister clerk Kim Davis challenge on the table as addressed in the beginning of the program and there's a chance to double your $25, get us down by 50 bucks
Starting point is 01:16:04 to what would become $2,100 or $277. That would be fantastic and ever so helpful. Let's run over to the stress line and see who we have over there. Hey, welcome to the program. Hey, gorgeous.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Well, hey, Tracy, what's up? Hey, can I interrupt just for a second, Tracy? Can you not hear me? Yeah, you sounded like you're in the bottom of a barrel, infinitely so. Okay, fine. See that way. But anyway, so I don't know if you remember, but last year I applied for and got provisional admission. into a program geared for, you know, to learn how to use AI in the emerging technologies,
Starting point is 01:17:22 especially for people who were or who are justice impacted. And so, you know, I waited, and this whole thing started last year, and I waited patiently, with, you know, constant changes and all that sort of stuff. and then I get another, you know, constantly in contact with people when it was going to start in March. Then I'm like to stand by,
Starting point is 01:17:52 always take to me for my patients, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Long story. So then I finally get, you know, I get another provisional admission letter. Like, okay, what happens to the one in November that was saying what a perfect match I was
Starting point is 01:18:09 for the program. I'm the kind of person. That's the person I'm looking forward. yada yada yada, yada. Cool. There was a couple of hiccups, but started the onboarding process on the course of July.
Starting point is 01:18:22 You could see that there's a three-week onboarding. Class was supposed to start July 20th. There was an incident that I was in my car. Didn't know that was a problem. As soon as I knew it was a problem, I got off the freeway, parked, and participated in. I was in class using, you know,
Starting point is 01:18:41 the same driving. teacher on Zoom. All the same, right? I'm a professional. I know what to do. I thought, you know, once the policy was explained to me, and, you know, even if they admitted that how was I supposed to know because it was never talked about, I'm thinking the shit is, you know, everything has resolved.
Starting point is 01:19:01 And then I get an email on the 15th saying that I need to get some feedback on my performance and we tell my what feedback. I'm perfect, but aside from that. And so the interviewer was going on, and I'm like, I said, wait a minute, is this about July 8th incident? Because they were calling into question, Robin, my commitment and dedication to the program. This coming to a person who was waited over a year for this program to start. And they're calling into question my dedication and commitment.
Starting point is 01:19:39 And I'm like, but no. and all the things. And again, I thought this was resolved. Well, on the 17th, I get an email saying, hey there, I there. Oh, basically we're sorry, but we will not be going forward with your admission. And as per policy, we cannot provide individual feedback. You know I'm hot of decisions, right? I'm guessing you're right, pissed.
Starting point is 01:20:14 Do I have a right to be pissed, Robin? Yes. I mean, again, but see, here's the thing. But this is the kind of games that outfits like that play. Right. They will string people along and then offer some nebulous excuse for why it can't happen. You can't know they're talking with the wrong person, right? I should hope so.
Starting point is 01:20:44 I already got the email ready to go. My friend who's a journalism professor is going over it because I look, she looked over it. She's like, yeah. Because I'm basically asking, because, see, I knew there's going to be problems because, like I said, when I was, I sent the director an email Wednesday on the 8th before class started because it's my airport day and I'm like, I need to work. but I would be participating I would be on Bluetooth all the things right I would be in Zoom safe driving mode
Starting point is 01:21:22 all the same did I get an email from her telling me that that is against school policy Robin that would probably no okay so and so then when I let them know
Starting point is 01:21:36 you know because there was something that some driving oh well he would kind of Not low-key. Low-key disme. It's like, well, that's the problem and all this, and you should know better. And all this in front of everybody in my class. Isn't that something that you should be saying, you know, Tracy, I need to discuss something.
Starting point is 01:21:55 You said the class I need to talk to you about something. But no, you call me out, a grown-ass woman in front of the entire class. Not cool. Okay? So I'm like, okay, I'm going to leave it alone, right? I'm thinking it's been resolved. Not a problem. I'm going to leave it alone.
Starting point is 01:22:13 And so then, like I said, and then I got the notice on the 15th that they, you know, about, you know, they wanted to talk to me about my performance and what have you. And the interview was going on and on. And I said, um, is this about the eighth? And that's when she called them because, you know, well, you know, your commitment, I said, I've been waiting for this program to start every year. And I said that when I apply, it was supposed to be on West Coast. you know, the West Coast, because it's going to be one cohort.
Starting point is 01:22:44 It's East Coast, so we were going to be on East Coast time, so that meant 509, East Coast, 3 to 6 my time. So, but even, and I said, but I was fine with the change of 6 to 9. And in this, actually, actually, up, where she's like, I said, so I've always been committed. And she's like, oh, well, you know, there are some spaces left in the, in the, on the East Coast cohort, would you be interested? And I'm like, I would be because it would be more convenient for me. But because, you know, there was a problem with me being in my car,
Starting point is 01:23:19 I would be successfully declined because y'all are tripping about my car. And part of the class, I would be in my car. So no, I will stay on the West Coast cohort. So again, there's a necessary dedication that they offered me a more convenient time, but I said no because of, you know, past experience. So again, tell me how I'm not dedicated. No, that's the thing. It sounds like you've done everything you're supposed to do.
Starting point is 01:23:47 But again, these outfits offer up once they decide that they don't, and they're worried and they want to make sure that they don't come off looking bad, so they just come up with some nebulous gobbledygook as a way of saying no. And by the way, This is Columbia University. Yeah. Who are probably... Columbia is, I have no doubt, really gun-shy right now,
Starting point is 01:24:24 having weathered a withering assault from the Trump, I mean, White House, with allegations of DEI and allegations of anti-Semitism and, And so they're probably, they're probably skittish A.F. I mean, yeah, because why would they admit my black, you know, my black, my gay black ass? I, I am, I'm a disability. I'm over, I'm 60, I'm black, I'm female, and I'm clear. Oh, my God. The only thing I'm missing is being a better.
Starting point is 01:25:06 Wow, you could be trans. Or it can be transgender. Exactly. So, yeah, they're scared. But damn, yeah. You talk about fair chance futures, and it's like, yeah, nope. Oh, by the way, it used to be, the name of the program used to be, um, justice through code.
Starting point is 01:25:38 Now it's fair chance future. And therein may lie the rub, Tracy. Right. They can't overtly say we want to give this opportunity to somebody a lot younger. And a lot wider. And so this becomes, my guess is it's an age thing more than a race thing. Yeah, it's probably an age thing. You're right.
Starting point is 01:26:13 because I am, you know, during our class sessions, because we're all required to be online on camera, rather. I didn't see anybody, I mean, again, again, I can't tell how old. There was a couple of black people in the course, but, you know, and you can't really, you know. So, but yeah, you're right. It could be more of the fact that how old I am than how, you know, my race or my gender or my sexual, you know, my sexual identity. But yeah, so there's a letter or email rather.
Starting point is 01:26:53 Because I'm not going to let's like this stuff. You have to, you know, like you said, some nebulous nambi, Pambi saying about, what do you say, what did you call it, a gobbly gook? Yes. And again, there's, what, what happened between, November of last year to July of this year.
Starting point is 01:27:24 I guess there definitely had to be a regime change. Because like I said, the person that I started this off with, the whole journey with on, I don't even know. Well, I just sent him an email back in June, May or June, was a follow-up asking about, you know, started the program, and he told me to check my emails to make sure I did to see if I got to notice.
Starting point is 01:27:53 And I had, no, I had. It was in my spam book because of the change of name of the program. So that part. But, yeah, so, so did you go see the Odyssey yet? Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Enjoyed it immensely, have you? Oh, God, no.
Starting point is 01:28:15 I mean, not an, oh, God, no, that I will never go see it because why? Don't get, you know, but I just didn't. I was so consumed with this bullshit that I didn't care to see anything or do anything right now. I understand. Until I get some kind of resolution. But I've heard this thing. And from your reaction, it's the, it's the, it's the, a good deal.
Starting point is 01:28:49 So I do plan on seeing it. I just don't know when. Well, you do have one. You've got a distinct advantage over me in one regard. IMAX. Not just IMAX. 70 millimeter IMAX. Because see, there's 50 millimeter IMAX too.
Starting point is 01:29:15 But the 70 millimeter IMAX is said to be the best experience. I just had to watch it in a lot. a regular movie theater and it was still pretty awesome. So you didn't get, you got, you have to watch this in regular, regular, regularly, right? Yeah, in fact, Victoria went looking around. The nearest 70-millimeter IMAX movie theaters to her in Parkersburg are either Nashville, Tennessee or King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:29:45 So that's a no. Yeah, that's a real hard no. I mean, Nashville is eight hours away, and I'm pretty, presume that King of Prussia probably is pretty near that, too. Pretner? Pertner. Don't you guys say like that, Prit near? Pertner.
Starting point is 01:30:05 We talk like that here. Or sometimes. Or pertina. Pertna. Oh, okay. I had heard that one. So when everything else is happening, you know, today is my airport day.
Starting point is 01:30:20 And I'm like, okay, I'm going to work for a couple of hours. And I can't home. but then the wife called you send me backing up jackass um so the wife only on this program y'all
Starting point is 01:30:34 only on this program it's like they only needed a second to turn around but you instead of you just waiting you go around and go in another lane that if somebody you would have been in the wrong
Starting point is 01:30:50 jackass but anyway um so the wife calls you said well I hope you hadn't planned on coming home any time And I'm like, well, sort of. So I didn't really feel like, because I've been up since, like, 4.30 this morning. And she's like, well, good luck with that.
Starting point is 01:31:07 Because there's a jack and I truck on the subpoenaed the past that hit the city's either. And I think it might have went over to the South Island as well. That sounds non-good. No, it's just going to be hours. And then, and there's a Dodger game today. Oh, dear. Yeah. So they're back from hanging out with nitwit Niro at the White House.
Starting point is 01:31:39 Good for them. They did go to the White House. Yes, ma'am. Okay. And they took him a Dodger jersey with his name on the back and 47 for the number. Okay. They got that boot all the way into their mouths. Wow.
Starting point is 01:32:02 Oh, well, because they were barely recovering from last year letting I fade into Dodger Stadium parking lot. Yeah, that bought them some goodwill. They flushed it down the toilet last week. Right. Well, I mean, I'm a Dodger fan by default because that's my hometown team. so it is what it is for me. But the wife, the umpahlupa, who basically leads Dodger Blue? Oh, Lordy, yes.
Starting point is 01:32:46 I know Jan's a fan. She said she's just a loose fan. But I really don't think that's going to keep her from watching game. No, probably not. And most die-hard Dodger fans, it won't either. It's just, well, it's depressing. It's very depressing and we all, come on, do better. But, you know, capitalism.
Starting point is 01:33:25 Wait, did all the Dodgers players go or did some of them? I didn't, the article that I had didn't note any conspicuous absences. Because I'm wondering, because I know there was when they were speculation, that some of the Dodgers players were like, yeah, I'm good. But then again, again, I don't know. But I would really like to know, especially the ones that are immigrants, you know. And the ones that are black. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:15 It's like, let's the white. I mean, because, see, for me, I'm thinking, especially if some of them, you know, some of the players decided to say, or dot go. stay home or just not go or go somewhere else in lieu of going to the White House. Like go to the Black History, you know, go to the Obama, you know, Center, which I feel so, before, I'm trying to get tickets because I'm going to plan a trip to Chicago next year. Yeah, good luck getting tickets. Then I've been failure.
Starting point is 01:34:49 They haven't released tickets for next year yet, but you cannot get tickets for 2026. Fuck you. No, that happens. But anyway, I think that would have been an amazing process to go to the Bobba Center or go to the African-American Museum and, you know, Cisbonian and all that. That would have been a really good fuck you. But, again, I don't know if anybody said, no, I'm not going. I'm good. I hope so.
Starting point is 01:35:21 But if they did, again, I don't know that. I know the only Dodger player that I know by name is Mukie Beck. Shohay Otani? Well, he's not a black guy. Well, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I should have qualified that with the only black player that I know by name is Muki Beck. And my boy, Otani, too. So, again, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:35:58 I guess I need to look at, I guess I need to get the article and see the picture. Because in the article, they'll name in the picture, right, usually? Yeah. Okay. Because I have a Mokey Debt jersey. I'm not going to burn it because it's a nice jersey, but I won't be wearing it in public. I will not. you know, I don't, I love, you know, I'm not going to burn shit that I paid for.
Starting point is 01:36:34 Like, when Colin Kaepernick, when Nike made him a spokesperson or what have you, and the edges were burning their Nike's. I'm like, who's that hurting? Nike already got the money. You're the idiot. You're the idiot that burns your shit up, and now you just spend at least $100 on some shoes. Yep. And what's more? I mean, there's a whole long list of that, Tracy. My favorite was when the butt-hurt little snowflakes got all mad at the Yeti Cooler Corporation.
Starting point is 01:37:14 Have you ever... What a Yeti? Oh, this was years ago. But you know how pricey Yeties are. Yetty ain't cheap I've never bought a Yeti But I've heard I've heard I've heard I've heard sorry
Starting point is 01:37:30 I've seen 800 I've seen 800 Yetty coolers Oh So fuck Because they get cold Forever right
Starting point is 01:37:41 Apparently yes I wouldn't But I would not know However However when Yetty decided to I lost you. What did Yeti decided to do? Excuse me, that was a little coughing fit.
Starting point is 01:38:03 When Yeti decided to end its affiliation with the National Rubell, I mean rifle, no, I mean Rubel Association. All those good old boys who'd done bought their Yeti coolers because they was supporting the NRA, they went out and so there's this chemical compound called canterite oh and canterite explodes if you shoot it you know no with a gun they put that you got them they yep those those butt hurt little hell they may have still been tea-baggers that far back. Maybe they were maggots. I can't remember. But yeah, they packed their
Starting point is 01:38:59 Yeti coolers full of tannerite and then blew them into a million tiny pieces in a fit of peak. Outrage because Yeti no longer supported us a holy sacred Second Amendment. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Starting point is 01:39:18 Did it hurt? Right. Because Yetty got their money. They could do it. What do you? pay for your shit. They can't give a flying fuck about what you do with it.
Starting point is 01:39:33 They got their money. What the old Kulva Guiland, do you say in Gary McGuire? Show me the money. Yep. And so they got that Kwan, as he said too.
Starting point is 01:39:48 He's like, they got their quons. They are fine. Proper boycott being stupid ignoramuses is you know, You no longer go and buy their shit. It has nothing to do. It's like me.
Starting point is 01:40:07 I haven't bought anything from Target, and it's been long before, you know, the whole black people boycott and Target. I haven't bought anything from Target since about three years ago since they started some bullshit about pride, a vendor that did pride swag. And, you know, and I'm like, I'm done. You say left.
Starting point is 01:40:28 the only time I go into a target now is because they're everywhere and they have very clean bathroom and the bathrooms are at the front of the goddamn store. That's the only time I'm going. Huh? Well, I was going to say, I don't have any targets near me. The last I remember of Target was being down in Alabama in 2019, early 2020, when the whole store still smelled of caramel corn, which was heavenly. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:41:07 Yeah, they sold caramel corn, fresh made. Motherfuckers, they didn't do that here in L.A. They might have kept a few weak people. I'm like, because I'm a good. Well, but like so much, it all went away with COVID. Well, remember, we're both old enough. So back in a day when we were kids, remember walking into a stairs and smelling the popcorn? Oh, God, the candy counter, the roasted cashews.
Starting point is 01:41:40 Get out. Oh, I'm triggered. And they had... Montgomery Ward, too. Yeah, and they had those little orange jelly sticks that were enrobed in dark chocolate. Yeah, they... Those were heavenly. But oh, here's another one for you.
Starting point is 01:42:02 After the program closed last night, I had to go down to the settlements for provisions. I like to do that in the evening because you don't have, there's not nearly as many people to deal with, and you can get in and out a lot easier. And so, So I went to Wally World with a little shopping list. and on that shopping list was some
Starting point is 01:42:27 orange juice holy Jesus I mean so a six pack of individual bottles of minute made from concentrate orange juice that was $5.67
Starting point is 01:42:50 I think Okay, let's see, that's definitely not California prices, because I was waiting for you to say $11 or something. Well, but, yeah, we're hillbillies. We don't have anything, so the prices might be a little lower here, but that's because so are our funds. Right. And then I looked over at, I guess it was Tropicana Pure Premium, Little Cartons, and it was a little bit more expensive. but it was not from concentrate. But then I got to thinking.
Starting point is 01:43:28 And let's see if you remember. Do you remember Donald Duck brand orange juice? Yes. Yes. And those little single serving cans? I don't think we had the single serving cans on here. Because remember, I'm still salty that we never got the watermelon Greek yogurt that you got. Oh.
Starting point is 01:43:50 How many years? Yeah, still pissed. And how many years of, you know. So I'm still talking about that, too. And y'all don't even have a Buckees yet, do you? No. But, yeah, Donald Duck came. Donald Duck was the sold canned, not cartons, not plastic.
Starting point is 01:44:12 And back when the kids were little, we'd get flats of it in the little single-serving cans. Because they were easy, and they had the little plastic, piled, mylar pull tabs. right and it just occurred and and when i looked at my list and i had orange juice on it i'm like huh i wonder i wonder if they've got don't duck because i loved it because it had the it had a little bit of that bitterness that that pleasant bitterness of real orange yep yeah apparently it does not exist or it or you know you know how it is with wally world if they don't have it you don't need it right But it was just another one of those moments of gone are the days.
Starting point is 01:45:00 Right? And again, you know, it's good you said Donald Dunk Orange Shoes. I totally forgotten about Donald Duck Orange Juice. Because I don't typically buy orange juice anymore. Dan makes it, you know, Presby. I live in California. Why not? Oranges.
Starting point is 01:45:20 And we can make it as needed because I have a whole thing of orange juice right now in the refrigerator. I haven't drank. and I got to figure out what they do with it so it doesn't go bad. Thinking of drink. Guess what your girl made yesterday. I saw it on Instagram. Do tell. And so you take a pineapple and first you watch it, you know, take the skins off,
Starting point is 01:45:46 put the skins in the pot with some pineapple skins, a couple of cinnamon sticks, some clothes. and some ginger. You bring it to a boil and then once it comes to a boil you let it simmer for like 15 minutes. Meanwhile, you take the orange, I'm sorry, the pineapple chunk,
Starting point is 01:46:08 throw those in the blender and I happen to have strawberries that if I hadn't abused them yesterday it would have gotten through and I cleaned my refrigerator and my God, the food that I waste is enough to make me just go into, oof, but any juice. I'm doing some
Starting point is 01:46:25 strawberry, added in some water, blended it up, and made a nice little juice. And so then I poured, I strained out the juice and left the pulp. Once the simmering was over, I took the pulp from the strawberry and from the pineapple,
Starting point is 01:46:43 poured it in the pot and put it with the, and some high biscuit flowers. Ooh. Girl! And so once let that speak for a good 15 minutes.
Starting point is 01:46:59 And once it was steeped, and then I trained out, you know, the pineapple things and all this stuff. And then I added the juice of the pineapple, the pineapple and strawberries and added just a hint of honey and a little cibia, sevia, stevia, whatever. Girl. Oh, and then I put some chia seeds in it, too. Mm-hmm. Chia seeds. Yeah, that helps. It's really good for your digestion and stuff.
Starting point is 01:47:36 All right. And it's fiber. If you ever, if you ever, whenever, not it for when you come here and I take you to a taco fan, they'll have the Awa fresca, and most, a lot of them have Cia seeds in them. Well, that's what I was going to ask you when you started describing what you made. Isn't, wasn't that an Agua Fresca? Yes, sir. Yes, ma'am.
Starting point is 01:47:56 Sorry. It's all right. I'm told I'm telling I'm I'm sounding particularly masculine this evening so I don't know if it's my sinuses or whatever so yes ma'am I made my very own awkward stressful that sounds delightful um it was so good it was so good and now that I have it down and I got the pineapple for like two bucks
Starting point is 01:48:29 So basically for, you know, the, the, the, um, the, um, hibiscus flowers were made in five bucks for a huge package. Um, and the strawberries. It basically cost me, you know, per serving, maybe four bucks, but it's not even per serving, but it's huge. So it turned out to be like. once I drained everything and all the things, maybe it turned out to be like 72 ounces for less than $4. Nice.
Starting point is 01:49:11 I can't even go to a taco fan. Because when you get an aqua fresca, because they have all different flavors, you know, hamica, the pineapple, you know, everything, all the flavors, my particular flavor favorite, is the line.
Starting point is 01:49:30 and they have like a lime and pineapple, something like that. So, yeah. So, yeah. So now you're going to know how to make. Well, maybe if you do it again, try it with some agave nectar. Ooh, I have that, too. Because your girl's down 25 pounds, by the way. Oh, yay.
Starting point is 01:49:58 So, thank you. I'm really trying desperately. even though, you know, I had their whole birthday celebration. Look at a birthday celebration. Yes. And happy birthday again. Thank you. So we did speak last week.
Starting point is 01:50:18 I told you about the whole venue change and all that, right? Right. Or did I? Okay. And I sent out, because I did the invitation. So I'm potterful, right? So I sent out the invitation, a notice saying, if you're trying to figure whether you're coming or not
Starting point is 01:50:37 please change your reservation to know because I had to put down a deposit plus I had to guarantee a certain number and if people do not show up it does not matter I still have to pay you know seven people did not show up assholes over $50 a person
Starting point is 01:51:00 no more party invites for them They will never get invited to another party again ever, ever, ever. One of my friends, I love her. She put on the chat for the invitation. She's like, y'all, oh, Tracy, some birthday money. And if you don't, she sent a gift or gift. It's a different gift. Anyway, he said one of our girl, Hannah, whatever her last name is, doing the shame from the Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 01:51:40 Oh, yeah, Hannah Waddingham, the shame none. Oh, speaking of Hannah Wondingham, honey, you need to, have you been, have you seen ride or die yet? No, I have not. I think it's on Amazon Prime. No. Girl, if you thought you loved her and her clothes and said last, though, baby. You're not ready. You're not ready for what he wears in, um,
Starting point is 01:52:13 in, um, rider dot. And then, and also plus my girl, um, Octavia since then it's so good. So fucking good. It is, it is definitely, and all, all the episodes are on, uh, I don't know when it came out. I don't know. Because sometimes crime does pull the Netflix and releases all the episodes at once. I don't know if that's the case because, like I said, I don't know when it dropped. But all eight episodes are on Amazon Prime.
Starting point is 01:52:49 And I dare you not to bench because it's like eating in a lay. Okay. You just cannot eat one leg. Okay. And by the way, I think it's August the 5th that we get Ted Lassau season 4 back. That's just next week. Yes. We're almost in August, goddamn, bitch.
Starting point is 01:53:16 And this is really silly on my part, but there's a new season of King of the Hill out there, and it's really, really good. I never really got into King of the Hill? I mean, there were certain, you know, it was funny, propane and propane accessory. Mm-hmm. Propane. Propane. Propane. You have to accent that second syllable. Propane. All right. Propane. And it's really sad that the actor that played the American character was murdered. You heard about that, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:00 Was it a hate crime? Yes. Well, I mean, I don't know. It's Texas, so I don't know if they charge it that way. Do they find the guy, the person who did it? Yeah. Oh, yeah. But as it turned out, the murders were committed because he was married to a trans man. I think they killed them both. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:54:34 Yeah. By the way, I got a note for you. Just now, Wave wrote in from Mr. and Mrs. Scary, hey, fam, survived the weekend, still married. Wade went out and got married and said, hey Tracy, and eight years ago was the Yeti incident. It's hard to be burned up their shit or blow up a shit. Yeah, but back then, you know, back then the maggots had the bit in their teeth, and they were making America great again, one blown up Yeti cooler at a time. What?
Starting point is 01:55:44 But I'm going to see what time the next show I go if the Odyssey is. Yeah. And I think I can find it in. If you can, now, I'll warn you, if you can find it in. 70 millimeter IMAX. I know you've got one there. It may be sold out for a while. It may be sold out for a while. It could be. Because I know in the greater New York City area
Starting point is 01:56:08 I've read articles saying that it is. That it's like sold out into September. Yeah, I guess Leon Scumms personal jihad against the film for its lack of historical authenticity and whiteness. Isn't working out so well for him. Oh, maybe. So sad.
Starting point is 01:56:43 So sad. I know. He spent all last week melting down over in an interview that he gave to the economist. I don't know if he's okay. He may need a safe space. Or at least another whopping dose of ketamine. I mean, in no disrespect. Yes.
Starting point is 01:57:13 Yeah. At the bottom of the sea. You know, maybe a concrete blanket. Oh, now that's just being mean. There we are. I'm just, you know, I'm trying to be that person. Sometimes it's impossible. Sometimes it's impossible to avoid. I very far.
Starting point is 01:57:48 I love you very much. I want to go out of my food. I hope there is. But I love me more than I love my luggage. Love you to pieces. is. Do you take this here? No.
Starting point is 01:58:17 All right. Later. Bye. Let's see. And by the way, someone was trying to call in while Tracy was on the stress line. If you want to call back in, that's cool. We are officially into the third hour of the program. 2127 is the deficit for July, with four days, well, three and a half, well, three
Starting point is 01:58:52 and a third days remaining now. And Ralphs has a challenge on the table. Please don't let challenges go by. It's how this program stays on the air. And, well, that would get us down to, like I said, 2007. 127 gets us to, I'm sorry, 128 gets us down below the $2,000 mark, which is extremely helpful. If we could get down to the point where we're only in a one-week deficit, that would be grand too. Let's pop back over to the stress line
Starting point is 01:59:32 Let's see who we got Hey, welcome to the program Roxanne, I just sent you my gag But I'll tell it on the air Okay I got a I got a collect phone call The other day
Starting point is 01:59:49 It's from Mitch McConnell Believe it or not Okay The only problem is it was on Miss Lindsay's cell phone and I heard a grim voice say Mitch get off the damn phone you're not supposed to prove there's an afterlife
Starting point is 02:00:12 so that's the proof of online and so I take it it was dark and hot and sticky where he was yes ma'am it was I see you read my email yes I'm looking at it right now But, yeah, that's what I think is going on. They don't want to say it because they don't want to lose their numbers in the Senate.
Starting point is 02:00:46 What these people are. They truly are repulsive, aren't they? Yes, yes, ma'am, they are. But I have some great news. And this can't keep until career meeting wins tomorrow. I found out that two nuns in Kentucky are forming a new religious order and this is not a joke
Starting point is 02:01:19 that their goal of this new order is to help those people who've been abused by the Catholic Church either physically, financially, spiritually, sexually, all this. And I heard about it going through Google News and it was a rebroadcast from National Petroleum Radio
Starting point is 02:01:59 where they interviewed these two nuns. and their abuse survivors at the hands of a priest in their former order who was supposed to be their spiritual director. And he had been accused of molesting one of the sisters. and they felt like they had been groomed by this man. And over the last couple of years, they were trying to figure out what they could do after they left their order. And they got permission from their bishop in Kentucky
Starting point is 02:02:52 to start the formation process for this new order. and I read that. Roxanne and I just went to tears. And finally, somebody's doing something. And I talked to her speaker about it. I could barely keep it together when I was telling her. Hell, I can barely keep it together now.
Starting point is 02:03:21 I can hear it in your voice. I think, I think, you know, we were talking last week about if there was more of it, and I said, no, there's more attention on it. I think this is what I was talking about because I got to give it up to the sisters. They're at least trying to be proactive. You know, and like they said,
Starting point is 02:04:02 they feel like they'll be less threatening to survivors because they're also survivors. So there's some understanding there. I talked to my therapist this morning. We had our usual appointment. And he said, would you ever consider going to them for help? I said no. And he said, why? I said, because for decades, the Catholic
Starting point is 02:04:41 Church has thrown every roadblock in the way to make amends for their their lethargy in dealing with this. And
Starting point is 02:04:59 Roxanne, I'll get more information as to what, where, where, and how. But I, I will, I will give you that information. You could look up the articles on it. But, um, I just wanted, I just wanted to say that. And, uh, I have some sad news as well. Yes.
Starting point is 02:05:28 Miss Perch has been Was found in the In the break room The other day Unfortunately she was belly up Oh no Yes
Starting point is 02:05:45 Well she was a brother elderly Olderly El elderly lady And But Put the memorial service And what was beautiful.
Starting point is 02:06:02 And schools were all around, and being a, being a perch, I trust there was a very dignified burial at sea. Well, it was that, but the, you know,
Starting point is 02:06:17 the guys on the dock being a a group with a bit of a dark sense of humor offered to hold the Miss Perch Memorial Fish Fry, which
Starting point is 02:06:33 did not go over too well. I can imagine. It was all I could do to keep the tentacles and the fists from flying. So there is that.
Starting point is 02:06:53 And why is the White House Press Corps you know, why are they holding a dinner with Donnie in attendance? Well, the funny thing is it wasn't their idea. I'm not cutting them any slack, but nitwit Niro wanted the redo because he wanted to stand up and trash the press again. It was not anywhere near as full as it was back in April.
Starting point is 02:07:32 and I've seen some reports noting that most of the people in attendance were members of his maladministration in one form or another. I mean, I can understand what I thought in the goddess of irony still had her loving clutches on his wife when the White House Press Association gave awards to. reporters who were reporting on his corruption, his grifts, and his criminal activity, and he had to shake their hand for politeness sake. That was my delicious moment for that. Yeah, and, well, in particular, Wolf Blitzer, who, by the way, had driven Caitlin Collins to the event because she was to win an award, receive an award.
Starting point is 02:08:41 And then he stood up there right next to Canckel's Caligula and explained exactly why she was getting the award, and it was basically for daring to stand up to the Tangerine Tiberius. And he didn't dare nod off or fall asleep, and they probably had him wired up on enough speed to, make him chew the air gum. Well, until the second rate mentalists came in. Oh, well, yeah.
Starting point is 02:09:19 Yeah, and he didn't fall asleep until the second-rate mentalist came in for the entertainment. Now, if Johnny had any kind of courage at all, the press corps would have invited, oh, let's say, Stephen Colbert to make a couple of comments. in his direction with him sitting there. But we both know that that our Lord and Dickless Tater
Starting point is 02:09:52 couldn't handle that. And I just love the fact that you know, they're applauding themselves for being so courageous. Where were they, years, you know, over the last 10 years, Roxanne.
Starting point is 02:10:21 Well, and it's, it's, it's, it's, it's one of those, um, it's one of the situations where cowards hide behind the valor of a single individual. Yeah. I mean, you get, there, there are a few professional journalists who are good at what they do and who insist on maintaining standards. It's just to becoming exceeding rare. a lot of people who wear the moniker journalist are actually stenographers for Trump
Starting point is 02:10:57 and there's nothing new in that I mean I remember when oh what's her name Judith Miller was Cheney and Bush's stenographer for the New York Times or they're out or they're out collecting information and holding it back from the American public so that they're They can sell a million seller on the New York Times bestseller list. But this goes back well beyond the first Pappy Bush's administration, Roxanne.
Starting point is 02:11:35 Remember the reporter who was holding the federal court and they demanded she reveal her sources and actually held her in contempt? Oh, yeah. Because she refused to divulge, that was to do nothing but get us where we are now. It's been, well, you know, there's that old saying that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, a single step. So, too, the journey toward constitutional collapse happens by drips and drabs until we're here. And we're here. still, which means we've got them in the barricades, girl. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:12:28 And I keep saying that. We've got to hold out, hold out, hold on. And try to maintain not only our equanimity, but our, for lack of a better term, our serenity. And not give in or give up to, I mean, look, it's a fact. He's, nitwit, Nero is going to try. he's trying everything he can to save himself
Starting point is 02:12:56 from a slaughter in the House and the Senate and so every dirty trick every extra judicial, extra legal thing he can do he will do and the six rog idiots on the high court
Starting point is 02:13:20 who shall remain names but are well known to this audience we'll just let him do it because they're getting their bellies rubbed and they're getting paid off by their billionaire bedders. I think they ought to dig up Dick Nixon, Ronnie Reagan, Pathy Bush,
Starting point is 02:13:57 and do what they did do what they did in in Great Britain when when the restoration of the monarchy occurred Cromwell's body
Starting point is 02:14:13 was exhumed and he was beheaded and I think those three deserve that kind of treatment. I'm serious. I'm not advocating
Starting point is 02:14:29 killing anyone but since these three stoleers of the conservative bowel movement are already dead, they should be desecrated and their remains burned to non-existence. Now, that may sound a little radical, but... Well, it's a long-established part of a Damnati of a Memori. Yeah, but that really didn't work for King of Chessus. that they tried it with her but no it didn't work there's always going to be some loyal bushy or some reganaut or or some um um pansy who'll be like yes they were the greatest presidents that ever lived
Starting point is 02:15:33 what you said what you said about the exhumation of cromwell you know the uh the church also tried a dead pope and eventually chopped up his body and threw it in the tiber. But what it brought immediately to mind, Dave, was the obituary that Hunter S. Thompson wrote upon the passing of Richard Millhouse Pinhead. Thank you, Harry Truman, Nixon. He wrote, Nixon was a Navy man, and he should have been buried at sea. Many of his friends were seagoing people, B.B. Robozo, Robert Vesco, William F. Buckley Jr., and some of them wanted a full naval burial. These come in at least two styles, however, and Nixon's immediate family strongly opposed both of them. In the traditionalist style, the dead president's body would be wrapped and sewn loosely in canvas sailcloth and dumped off the stern of a frigate,
Starting point is 02:16:35 at least 100 miles off the coast of and at least 1,000 miles south of San Diego, so the corpse could never wash up on American soil in any recognizable form. The family opted for cremation until they were advised of the potentially onerous implications of a strictly private
Starting point is 02:16:54 unwitness burning of the body of the man who was, after all, the President of the United States. Awkward questions might be raised. Dark allusions to Hitler and Rasputin. People would be filing lawsuits to get their hands on the dental charts. Long court battles would be inevitable. Some with liberal cranks bitching about corpus
Starting point is 02:17:12 deletai and habeas corpus and others with giant insurance companies trying not to pay off on his death benefits. Either way, an orgy of greed and duplicity was sure to follow any public hint that Nixon might have somehow faked his own death or been cryogenically transferred to the fascist Chinese interests on the Central Asian mainland.
Starting point is 02:17:32 Ha, yeah. But then he offers up the second burial at sea solution. If the right people had been in charge of Nixon's funeral, his casket would have been launched into one of those open sewage canals that empty into the ocean just south of Los Angeles. He was a swine of a man and a jabbering dupe of a president. Nixon was so crooked that he needed servants to help him screw his pants on every morning. even his funeral was illegal
Starting point is 02:18:04 he was queer in the deepest way his body should have been burned in a trash bin memorable words no they don't make them like dr thompson anymore no no they do they do not but
Starting point is 02:18:21 you know you could do a global search and replace on a word processor and just exchange the word Nixon with the word Trump and well it would it would be a
Starting point is 02:18:35 That line about the sewage canal, you could change California to Florida and have a pretty good suggestion for what to do with this foul beast when his day comes. Well, isn't the Donald just an offshoot of Love Canal and keeping it in New York? He's actually from New York, but he doesn't like to. The thing is that would turn the area into a Superfund site, whereas most of Florida already is one. Well, that would explain the Florida, duh, people. Oh, everything, yeah, lead paint chips, chemicals in the water, what have you. It explains Florida, man.
Starting point is 02:19:32 Which makes me worried for Waze. And by the way, congratulations, Waze. I'm glad to hear you're still married after such a long time. Got a whole weekend under his belt, I think. I know. At least a day. The original plan he mentioned on Friday was that they were getting married Monday, so I guess a whole 24 hours and a lifetime of happiness be yours.
Starting point is 02:20:01 And who would have thought that Wayne could have stayed married for 24 hours, not saying. I mean, who among us could have guessed that? That wasn't on my wedding pool. No. No, I would have lost money on that one. But
Starting point is 02:20:23 I'm kidding. Well, everything Everything reminds me of a lyric in this particular instance, it's a steely Dan lyric
Starting point is 02:20:38 and I say this with all the love in the world it comes from it's from a song called Haitian divorce Babs and clean Willie were in love they said
Starting point is 02:20:49 so in love the preacher's face turned red so much happiness wave to you and Cheryl and for many
Starting point is 02:21:04 many many years to come and by the way back when you were talking about the fish fry Ralph's noted oh Dave in the blind so I think that was a that was not
Starting point is 02:21:21 a Ramalama ding dong so much as a gner well that but it does it does it does follow my contractual obligations to ruin dinners throughout the universe
Starting point is 02:21:38 whenever I call no she she was a very sweet teacher and like I said all the schools came out I mean kids
Starting point is 02:21:55 grandkids and a couple of great friends even the small fry were there yes even the small fry and it didn't matter if you were a saltwater fish or a freshwater fish she'd sit there and
Starting point is 02:22:15 patiently explain to you how life was supposed to go and how one was supposed to swim toward their future, which was always one of her favorite lectures. But she will be missed. But I just wanted to say that Ms. Perch, and she had both of her pins. She had all her pins, so her little line, gambling hobby did not cost her overly much. Oh, good. I'm glad they didn't...
Starting point is 02:22:53 That's good. Yeah, I'm glad they didn't get to it. Yeah. But I'm going to have to have a discussion with the Teamsters representative about making such humorous aside. I mean, too soon, right? It's not like this was the memorial of Ms. Lindsay when, well, you know, all bets are off.
Starting point is 02:23:21 She was actually a decent fish. Right. And you never heard her talking about her bugs of any variety. No, no. She was a very priming copper fish. And she definitely did not have pescatory papillomavirus virus, which is where those... Which is where those lady bugs come from.
Starting point is 02:23:52 But no, no, no. Like I said, she's very prim and proper. And she will be doing this. But I thought that I would call in to do all that news. Any more movement on the housing front? I'm not going to hear for at least another couple of weeks. I haven't heard back from Dad. I called the other day.
Starting point is 02:24:32 They haven't called me back, so I don't know. And did your innkeeper get around or replacing your battery in your smoke alarm? No, but they, no, but housekeeping came around, and after two months I was able to exchange a bedspread that I've been using to cover up with. and this is a warning this time. It's a good thing, too, and I would not want to be the individual washing that rag. Oh, dear, there well. Okay, so dinner in the mountain daylight time is simply canceled as well.
Starting point is 02:25:13 Well, it kind of smell of body odor and sour milk, Roxanne. Hey, Grandpa. What's for supper? Yum. Yum. Yeah. Yeah. And as for being tucked or untucked, I'm not sure that Mitch McConnell isn't tucked up somewhere. That one's from Matt in San Francisco. Ah, okay. Okay. Well, tucked around. He's definitely propped up. The latest photo, it looks like Elaine Chow is basically holding him up like a sack of taters in a burlap sack.
Starting point is 02:26:10 That's probably Photoshop. Almost certainly. I don't know if you caught it at the beginning of the program, but yeah, someone reverse, someone who knew Elaine's two non-presentation. political sisters when or apolitical sisters when they were at Harvard together noted with a reverse image search that the blouse that Elaine is wearing over a black bra is a thin blouse and it came from Chico's a strip mall boutique. Did anybody ever teach her how to dress? You don't wear a black bra under a thin, a flimsy. untucked shirt.
Starting point is 02:26:55 Well, some of us do if we're feeling a little trashy, okay? Yeah, but she you know, she likes to carry herself off at this fashion plate. And that's what Jeff Yang said. She is the most put-together woman I have ever known,
Starting point is 02:27:13 and she would rather die than be seen like that. Well, then she and Mitch will be together soon, and I'm sure. Oh, by the way, One last sad piece of our childhood, Roxanne. The firm founded by James Cash Penny is closing permanently as of November 1st.
Starting point is 02:27:45 Really? All JC Penny locations nationwide will close forever. Customers have until November 1st. to do their last bit of shopping at penny. Well, that's interesting. My friend, Roxanne. That's interesting, you mentioned that. Yeah, go ahead, Roxanne.
Starting point is 02:28:15 My roommate was talking. That's interesting you would mention that, because a couple of weeks ago, when Victoria and I went to see The Odyssey, it's in the mall there, and we were turning the course, corner around JCPenney. And I looked at her and I said, are they still a going concern?
Starting point is 02:28:35 And she said, I don't know. I never really go in there. Well, I saw on Google, they are closing. You have until November first. So wards is long, Wards is long gone, Sears is long gone. Jacques. Wors is gone.
Starting point is 02:28:52 I mean. Sears is gone. Kmart is on bare life support. Yeah. all that. So no more wish book, no more serious catalog, none of all of that has been
Starting point is 02:29:08 obliterated, Roxanne. And I think a cultural touchstone for this country has been broken and being washed away by internet influencers. Well, by Jeff Bezos' gigormous corporation named after a river in Brazil or in South America.
Starting point is 02:29:38 Oh, and I neglected this earlier. This is some good news. I had a note at the beginning of the program from Flavio, and it was good news, and I wanted to make sure and offer our congratulations. Flavio said, I found a place. It's a rent-controlled building for low-income people, a two-bedroom in the south end of town. It's really nice. Amenities, washer dryer in units, so no fishing for quarters.
Starting point is 02:30:10 A nice range with induction burners and an oven. Wow. A nice refrigerator, lots of storage space, $650 a month plus electric. The max anybody pays is $80 a month. It's over by the Lutheran Hospital on the main drag, so it's on the bus line. It doesn't look much from the outside, but it's really nice inside. A reconverted warehouse made into lofts. It even has an exercise room with two stationary bikes, a treadmill, and weights, and a TV.
Starting point is 02:30:37 I passed the background check. I've never been convicted, or non-renewed. I'm just waiting for the paperwork to go through, and I'll sign the 12-month lease. I like it. Congratulations, Flavio. I'm so glad that you got that. And if it converts to a month after that, he should hold on to that apartment if he loves it like grim death.
Starting point is 02:31:04 Oh, without a doubt. ...the conversation full circle. But congratulations, Flavio. Well, and I hope we'll be saying the same of you soon indeed, Dave. I hope so, too. I really do. I'm holding out hope to this house because that means I'd be living. The good part is I'd have my own house.
Starting point is 02:31:34 The bad part is I'd be near my family constantly. So it's a trade-off. Dave, take the W. Take the win. And we will hopefully be celebrating with you soon. I hope so, too. And by the way, just one second. By the way, Matt just wrote in, O'Don,
Starting point is 02:32:03 Dave, keep my name out of your mouth. Hey, I tailored a joke just for you, Matt. So a little consideration for the humor would be appreciated. Thank you. But I appreciate the sentiment. Yeah, something for the effort. Right. Dave, you take care.
Starting point is 02:32:26 Give our best to Christine. I will. All right. Bye. Our buddy, Dave in the blind. Oh, my goodness, and the emails start rolling in. Steve in New York with a note, Vlovio. Does he need a roommate?
Starting point is 02:32:47 Oh, that could be a merry time. It's a beautiful town. Wisconsin's a lovely state. I'm so glad, Flavio, that you found it. I mean, really? Really? A stove with induction burners? Wow. I love induction burners.
Starting point is 02:33:13 Years and years and years ago, I was gifted with one, and it has been a godsend every step of the way. I love how controllable they are. You can really manage the heat. Well, we are on our way to the end of this Titanic Tuesday, and it has been Titanic indeed. I should note because this is a horrifying situation. Ever since our most puissant
Starting point is 02:33:55 dread sovereign Supreme Catholic Majesties said that Daddy Trump can without so much as a kiss my ass and temporary protected
Starting point is 02:34:09 status for for refugees despite the language of Congress in creating the program. Well, today, temporary protected status for Haitian immigrants is officially over, and the ice goons are swarming and the CBP thugs. And they're attacking the Haitian community with impunity. Immigration Council Senior Fellow Aaron Reiklin Milnick said over on that platform that used to be known as Twitter, that these efforts are being ramped up with vicious ferocity in anywhere that has a large Haitian population,
Starting point is 02:35:11 including but not limited to Queens and Brooklyn. He wrote, ISIS decision to blitz communities where Haitians have been living and working legally for years is a modern pogrom targeting a disfavored ethnic group, and we know why they're disfavored. They won't be targeting criminals or bad guys. It'll be nurses, students, people who passed multiple background checks. And it's all because Donald J. Trump is the son of,
Starting point is 02:35:49 of a Klansman who learned at his Klansman daddy's knee, who engaged in redlining and housing discrimination in the 70s, that's how he met Roy Cohn, who taught him to walk and talk an act just like a blooming lydie. He's called Hadesh shithole. And then, of course, there's the 2024 presidential campaign. They're eating the dogs. They're eating the cats. Oh, God.
Starting point is 02:36:26 But that one thing that Mr. Reiklin-Melnick pointed out struck me because of another story I had recently seen saying there'll be targeting nurses, students, people who passed multiple background checks. Yep. And guess who's going to bear the brunt of that, beyond the Haitians themselves? Temporary protected status has been eliminated
Starting point is 02:37:05 for some 348,000 Haitians. Of that number, 13,000 are nursing assistants, and 8,000 are caregivers. That according to findings researched by Philip Connor at Princeton University. Over at the journal, The Gerontologist, they published a peer-reviewed study. noting that the staffing shortage is created by this pogrom against Haitians and caregivers will quote have dire consequences for residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. In those facilities, up to 90% of care is provided by certified nursing assistants, and that will place residents of those facilities
Starting point is 02:38:25 at a vastly increased level of potential harm. At leading age, that's an industry group that represents nursing home providers, they said facilities will face inevitably having to close units or turn away people in desperate need of care until they can fill all the vacancies. So, once again, the maggots may have thought they were sipping on liberal tears, but they may find themselves crying themselves when granny or great-grannie or great-grandpa or grandpa or grandpa gets booted out of the facility.
Starting point is 02:39:28 or falls for lack of adequate care. I used to do a considerable amount of work in workers' compensation cases, and the number of claims by mostly women who ruined their backs as caregivers in nursing homes and extended care facilities, well, I never thought about it. But the number was shocking. And these are backs that were as surely ruined as any man's in a coal mine. Lifelong persistent pain. It is not a profession that one enters into lightly.
Starting point is 02:40:26 This is hard, often thankless work. And nitwit Nero, just now, for no other reason than the filthy racism that rots his filthy brain have brought potential grief and harm not only on the residents but on the families of those residents. Speaking to CBS News
Starting point is 02:41:08 Gerline Joseph who is the executive director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance said, once again our community members find themselves in a state of extreme trauma, fear, and terror. One of them told me it feels like a tsunami or an earthquake with non-stop aftershocks. Bear in mind that the lower court that was overturned by our most puissant dread sovereign Supreme Catholic majesties had noted in overturning Nitwit Niro's order that the primary motivation for this was, in part, the result of
Starting point is 02:41:53 racial animus. Our most puissant, dread, sovereign, Supreme Catholic majesties, however, ignored all that and simply said, so what? The courts can't review
Starting point is 02:42:13 any of this, no matter how vile, no matter how filthy, no matter how hateful, no matter how ugly, no matter how rife with the most repulsive levels of racism and xenophobia because this entire filthy White House is hell-bent on a lily white America. Over at the whore, I mean, White House, spokes creep Abigail Jackson said, It's a tremendous win. Temporary protected status was never intended to be a pathway to permanent.
Starting point is 02:42:57 status and I guess that's marginally true but what Congress did say was that people here on temporary protected status were allowed to remain until the situation in their home countries stabilized. Is there anyone in their right mind, which of course excludes nitwit Nero, who thinks that the situation political, cultural, geophysical in Haiti is anywhere even marginally near
Starting point is 02:43:46 stable? Of course not. How do we know? Because for the most part we made it that way. Unstable. Broken. Grievous.
Starting point is 02:44:10 So, Mr. and Mrs. Maggie it? Well, don't be surprised when you find out that you can't get Granny into the nursing home because there aren't enough staffers in the facility. Meanwhile, little Mark Wayne Mullen, the guy who invested in gas station heroin,
Starting point is 02:44:35 said through DHS, it's closing time, and we'll give every Haitian a $2,600 check and a free flight home where many of them will die. I tell you what, it's just another one of those moments that makes me want to fire up the audio player and cue up Lee Greenwood.
Starting point is 02:45:06 And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free. And Granny rolls out of her nursing homebed because votes by people like me. Sorry about the singing. We're already a goose egg for the evening, so, oh well. Meanwhile, the most vulnerable of the Haitian immigrants with protected status? Well, Ms. Joseph said of a Haitian woman, her little girl doesn't even want to go to school for fear of coming home and not finding her mama.
Starting point is 02:46:01 Thanks, maggots. Is America going to be greater because you got rid of grandpa's caregiver? Is that what you set out to do? Yeah? All right. And, well, okay, this is moderately humorous.
Starting point is 02:46:33 Enter one Michael Alfonso. He's a 26,000. six-year-old little neo-maxizume dweeby maggot. And he's running for the seventh congressional district in Wisconsin in the Republican primary on the 11th of August. Now, he's not just some little maggot schmuck. No, of course not. He's a reality TV star and entirely unqualified Department of Transportation Secretary
Starting point is 02:47:08 Sean Duffy's nephew. son-in-law, son-in-law. And it's the same seat that Duffy himself held for years. So, this little dweeb went on a maggot show, the guy, David Webb's show on Sirius XM. I've never heard of the guy. And began to full... Again, this little turd is 26 years old. Probably a big fan of Charlie Kirk, I'm sure.
Starting point is 02:47:50 Or little Benny Drywife Shapiro. Or Andrew Taint. Yeah, Michael Alfonso said in that radio interview, This rise of socialism here in the United States, it's a really scary thing, especially for me and my family. Really? My grandparents came to this country from Cuba. I saw what happens when socialism starts gaining a foothold somewhere.
Starting point is 02:48:23 It turns into communism and then you have to flee. Did I mention that this little pissant is 26 years old? He is as old as the century in which we find ourselves. Meanwhile, Castro came to power in Cuba in the 1950s, 1960s. you know 44 years before little Mikey was ever even
Starting point is 02:49:05 born when even his parents weren't a twinkle in grandma and grandpa's eyes my grandfather came to the country in 1956 as a political refugee from Cuba he came with his wife who was pregnant with my father
Starting point is 02:49:23 oh I guess the twinkle and they set up a life in Chicago, Illinois. And so they benefited from immigration. If they fled Cuba, it probably means that they were die-hard supporters of Fulhencio Batista, probably nasty little fascist, just like him. And he also said his grandparents, plural, came from Cuba. But it turns out only one of his grandparent.
Starting point is 02:50:08 grandparents came from Cuba. Naturally, of course, nitwit Niro always called him, A Mega Warrior. I wonder how many, I wonder how he feels, wow, you know. I wonder if he's ever groped an underage girl
Starting point is 02:50:34 or a woman in a department store. Hmm? Yeah. And this, to wrap things up, I watched the series Reacher on Prime. I thought it was a pretty good show.
Starting point is 02:51:03 And so he went on Alan Richson, who plays Reacher, went on armchair expert with Dachshepard, whom I always remember from Idiocracy. And of all things to ask him, Dak Shepard asked him if he could just let go of resentment over Trump. and I don't know if Alan Richardson knew this was coming, but he, he went off. And, yeah. You know, and you think about, like, you know, the conservative party these days.
Starting point is 02:51:43 Like, there's so much toxicity there and corruption, I think. And, you know, you could sort of like blanket, like, all Republicans are, like, bad or whatever. But, like, there's something about the genetic makeup of some of those people that become, like, soldiers and stuff. That, like, we need people who are a little bit like, I'm going to do this, you know? And so, so I understand. there's a balance to culture where we need some people. And not everybody is meant to be around that kind of, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't also live in a world
Starting point is 02:52:09 where we actually create scenarios where that guy probably has never done that to somebody else again. So, by the way, I want you know, I'm in the middle of you two fully. We had a big debate on here. I bet you can guess what month it was. Oh, my God. Or I was so happy. I don't think a video has ever made me happier than watching you. beat the shit out of the guy.
Starting point is 02:52:34 Yeah. That fucking shoved you on your motorcycle. And Monica and I had a fucking half hour debate on this show. And I'm like, I'm out that? Yes. Oh, did you really? Because I loved it. It was my favorite thing I saw.
Starting point is 02:52:47 So funny. And then even just the poetic, beautiful anywhere, it's like the cops were going to charge him. And then you were a mention drop charge it. Like the whole thing was in a bow, my ideal scenario. And I was saying to Monica, and I do believe this, and I'm with you on this, which is like, yeah, that's all fine and good for people who play by your moral code. Right. If you're all playing the same game, that's fine.
Starting point is 02:53:10 You can all operate that way. But there's going to be a handful of people. There is Putin in Russia. There is fucking Kim Jong. You know, these people are real. They exist. They're not playing by those rules. Right.
Starting point is 02:53:21 Someone on our side has to play by their rules. Yeah. So I do believe that deeply. Yeah. There is a time and a place. And I'm not asking to give up any of that. What I would hope is that we can. do that without carrying the toxic part that hurts us that's really my only dream for you or for me
Starting point is 02:53:39 by yeah my lord do you did you ever read the giver no kumbaya like in the you know and like in like middle school i think it was like required reading in our school there's a movie breton thwaite breton thwaits is a friend of mine he's he played he he played them you know in the movie the giver it's so funny because i you know essentially the story is like there there's somebody in and that in that world, somebody has this gift to receive all basically all the memories and pain of the rest of society, right? And so they impart that emotion to the giver. And he's the, he's the, he's the, he's the vessel for that then for the, for the community. And it becomes a burden that's just to, you realize like one person is not meant to hold all this. Right. That's right. So he becomes a bit
Starting point is 02:54:28 of a sacrificial lamb, you know, and it's a very interesting glimpse into, like, the psychology of, like, communal pain and suffering and knowledge and the zeitgeist and all that. But, like, some people are, I think, kind of meant to be the giver. Like, for a lot of people, that's, like, they're a lot in life. It's like, I'm the one that's going to have to carry this for us, you know. Some people say an empath is, like, a defense mechanism that people learn. And others say that it's, you know, you're a deeply sensitive human being. that just feels vibrations, you know, sort of ahead of other people. And really, they're the canary in the coal mine for, I got a tattoo of a canary because I've
Starting point is 02:55:06 had this conversation with my middle boy so many times about these deeply feeling, you know, experiences where, you know, realize, like, there are some people in society whose role it is, unfortunately, or fortunately for us to be the canary in the coal mine, when the pain in the, in the human body, you know, in the energy body, the pain body grows to the point where it's like, somebody has to raise a hand and go like, it's so great, I can't take it. And then I think we also have, I think there are archetypes in our society that are the, then the people that have to go out and fight that. Yep.
Starting point is 02:55:37 People that have to go out and heal, people that have to feed, you know. I'm with you. I do believe that we are this wonderfully dynamic group of different character types that help us all succeed as one species. I want to be clear about something. Because I was dragged into, we had a debate about you. Okay. Well, about the situation. As Zach said, he was like, yeah, I love it.
Starting point is 02:56:01 Oh, my God. It's so great. Oh, my God, I love this dude now. I know. He was like, we got to have him on. I was like, okay. No, but I am very much for justice. In fact, sometimes we argue about this where I'm like, no, no, no, we have to say,
Starting point is 02:56:15 we have to be on this show saying this. Like, it is important. And he's like, this isn't the place for that. We don't need to do that. So I am very justice-oriented as well. But I literally cannot. I do not have the physicality to enact justice. Well, I'm a sheriff, but not with violence, not with physical acts.
Starting point is 02:56:38 But I do it another way. And so I guess my thought is like there are multiple ways to be a sheriff and to be angry and to speak up and to help facilitate the thing that you ultimately want, which is for people to care. Yeah. You know, and so I think there are, there's, there's more than one way to do that. One way doesn't involve your publicist having a lot of work to do. But, you're sheriffing in the way that you can with people who respond to that type of sheriffing. You're, you're in the lane you were born into and you're doing it to your ability, which is like you're very smart, you're very assertive, you're not afraid of confrontation. You'll get an email battle.
Starting point is 02:57:23 you'll get on the phone and get in a verbal battle. You're doing the things that you can do and you were born to do. And also there's dudes shoving people in public and pulling people out of cars. So your skill set's not going to work in that situation. You can't call the dude. You're not going to send an email. And so I happen to be born this size. Whatever.
Starting point is 02:57:43 I had an older brother. I fought a lot. So that's now my role in that situation. Well, anyway, at one point, Alan Richson, said in response to the question, I don't know, man, I'm going to let go of the resentment, and then what does that do for the world? It allows these predatory fuckers to just continue.
Starting point is 02:58:07 Look at the politics that we deal with right now. The White House is in ruins, a fucking UFC cage on the lawn, and you just do it, you just fucking do it, and nobody says anything and no consequences. I'm just supposed to let go of my resentment that this fucking guy is just raping the world that he lives in for whatever gain he personally can have, and I'm supposed to let that go and then what
Starting point is 02:58:27 fucking still exists so no I'm not good at letting it go I fucking hate it I hate that that shit still lives in the world unabated unchecked unresolved un cleansed and previously he had appeared on another podcast
