Starting point is 00:00:00 The password is spectacle. Here we go, live from behind the corn phone curtain. It's head-on with Roxanne Kincaid. Three hours of cussin and disgusting with America's only liberal trans-billy elitist right here, right now, on the head-on radio network. Brought to you in part by Cole River Mountain Watch, who invites you to be part of the uprising against mountaintop removal. CRMW.net.
Starting point is 00:00:49 And now, from high in the hills of West by God, Virginia, here she is. Roxanne Kincaid. Well, howdy. And here we go. Off and running on this ninth day of October, 2006. This is the horn. Head on. Live is where you'll find us on the interweb tubes.
Starting point is 00:01:28 that's where you go if you'd like to be part of the merry wacky zany real-time madcap multimedia extravaganza that is the horn chat room in three hours in which his program is live on this or friday 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern daylight time, 2 to 5 p.m. Pacific daylight time, all time zones in between and the Great Globe round. And whatever time it happens to be when you're listening to the podcast. And if you are listening to the podcast, well, thank you very kindly for sharing. your precious finite time with us engaging in the conversation. If you're listening live, well, the easiest way to get into the aforementioned Mary Lackey Zaney is to just go to head on, head on. Live, and click on chat room, and boom, it's right there before your very eyes. It's like it's a miracle or something. Yeah, but pop on by. And, well, yes, before I get a half a dozen.
Starting point is 00:02:28 emails about this. Yes, this program is live. That's why I said it's the ninth day of October, 2006. I was gone yesterday and the day before, but this program is in fact live. And I'm extremely grateful. I really am for your kind forbearance and, you know, not hating me too much for taking a couple of days off because it was lovely. Wednesday was nothing but cooking from the beginning of the day to the end of the day, including a couple of absolutely exceptional port shoulders. Brother Deacon Asa saw them. I sent him a picture.
Starting point is 00:03:17 They came off at about 1 o'clock Thursday morning. And, whew, lordy, they are good. That is some fantastic pulled pork. Had my Alabama hot slaw ready to go. And my homemade barbecue sauce. I think it was pretty gosh darned well received. But more than anything else, it's just lovely to see family. Just absolutely lovely.
Starting point is 00:03:53 And yesterday was a perfect day for it. I don't think a single cloud crossed the sky all day long, and it was just that pure, beautiful, high, eternal blue in the sky. My word, it was just gorgeous. And I was really grateful, because I don't do that, you know. I don't take time away from the program for me. If I'm off air, it's generally because Appalachian power has screwed up. Power's gone out. There's a storm blowing through.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Someone's at the doctor. I'm in surgery. But very seldom just to stop and sort of, what, re-I don't know, gather my wits about me, disconnect for a little bit, pull myself out of the flood tide of, well, it's kind of like what David in Oregon was talking about on Tuesday. The world gets to be too much with us. And so I was completely consumed by things that I love, doing things for my family making good food and hopefully making them happy and it was delightful and by the time
Starting point is 00:05:45 I finally went to sleep last night at about oh 1145 and that's early for me I slept for ten solid hours and woke up actually pretty refreshed. And so anything else I do I'll be doing over the weekend. But I'm just so grateful to have been able to have the time. And I thank you for it. Because this family, this community, this congregation is why I get in here behind the microphone every evening. And it's, you know, it's not about.
Starting point is 00:06:36 money or fame because I have neither. It's about trying to sustain this community. And so here we are. It's Friday on the front porch. And yes, every program here at the Horn begins with gratitude and this program is no different. So consequently, thanks go out to our 9th, 8th and 7th day of the month subscribers via PayPal and contributors. And contributors so thank you ralps thank you so very kindly thank you to tom and sunny san raphael thank you james and thanks marcia thanks as well to uh cc who said uh donating now since i have surgery coming up wish me luck oh uh all the luck and and all the love and all the good fortune and all the healing energies uh please let us know when you
Starting point is 00:07:36 you're, you know, back to feeling like communicating. We'll keep you in our heart, Cece. And thanks as well to James, Ralphs. Thank you. Thank you all for being partial sponsors of the program. If I missed anybody, let me know. And where we stand right now? Well, of course, the funding deficit.
Starting point is 00:08:06 it didn't go up. It doesn't go up when I'm not here. But we're at $840.40. So basically trying to fund the three days of broadcasting we've had this week, Monday, Tuesday, and today. Actually, 240 of Monday, and then all of Tuesday and all of today. So fingers crossed. And we'll start the program with a challenge courtesy of Routts. Thank you, Ralphs. It's the John Ossoff debate challenge. $25 challenge for John Ossoff not pulling any punches against Maggot Mike Collins this evening down in Georgia. Good God, he, yeah, let's see if he can, let's see.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I hope that's actually a clip. And that I can play it. There we are. And hope. Please let this play. I want to hear this. First of all, no Georgia family or small business should pay a dime more to subsidize the energy consumption of these data centers. No local community should have these data centers imposed on them.
Starting point is 00:09:53 But that same budget bill we've been discussing all night, the one that slashed Medicaid, the one that doubled your health insurance premiums. It also gave $70 billion of your money to data center developers. Just think about this. When you are paying more for your health insurance, when a hospital in your community is closing down, Mike Collins voted to take that money out of your pocket and out of your community and give it instead to data center developers. And that's the problem, Mike.
Starting point is 00:10:26 It's not just that you've hired half the third. Reich to staff your congressional office and you have promoted neo-Nazi content online. It's that you're robbing your constituents to subsidize your donors. I want to know if you will commit to voting to repeal that data center tax. Oh, come on. What? That's weird. We got almost all the, well, we got the pull quote.
Starting point is 00:10:58 He's hired half the Third Reich to staff his congressional office. Them's fighting words, and I don't think Mike Collins has any way of coming back from that. So good for you. Good for you, John Ossoff. I wonder why that happened. Oh, dear. Did I just buffer on?
Starting point is 00:11:22 No, we're still sending. Okay, that must be something weird about that particular clip. But good for you, John Ossoff. And, well, we can get down to $790 to go in fundraising. If somebody wants to meet Ralph's, don't pull any punches tonight, John Ossoff Challenge. Thank you, Ralph. Thank you so very much.
Starting point is 00:11:43 And some good news from Dave in the Blind. Christine is getting out of the nursing home Monday. She's passed all of her evaluations, so the cats will have their mommy back. And the unstoppable, Christine and the blind will be on, and I will be on, okay, it will be on wheels. Not behind the wheel, thank God. She's a blind woman. She's crazy, but she's not stupid. unlike Donald Trump, who's both crazy and stupid.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Love your buddy Dave and the blind. So Dave, thank you, and please pass our congratulations to the indomitable Christine. Thank you so very much indeed. And now, well, where to start? By the way, this is Friday on the front porch. I should mention that. I'm a little discombobulated from taking a couple of days off. But it is Friday on the front porch.
Starting point is 00:12:52 So we're here in about, oh, and by the way, the other day I was talking about the wonderful atomic clock that I have here in the studio. And I said, all I ever have to do is change the batteries. I guess what? Batteries is dead. I just noticed that when I came into the studio to start the program, because I tend to glance up at it instead. of looking in the corner of my computer, screen, my monitor, come on, don't get on my back, juvenile delinquents, but yeah, it's just, it's a 20-plus-year-old habit, and speaking of 20-plus years.
Starting point is 00:13:32 So where are we now, 24? We are 15 days away from the Horn's 21st birthday as an internet-only operation. And as we noted previously, that will fall on a Saturday, the 24th. So we'll celebrate on the 23rd. So exactly two weeks away. Get your, well, now, keep the champagne in the fridge. It has a much higher calling than the horn being old enough to buy its own liquor. Just a second here. but well anyway two weeks from this evening now where to begin how about the password spectacle spectacle
Starting point is 00:15:21 while i was away and of course this should come as no surprise we know exactly where we are and what the nature of the world we are in is. Jesus Christ. But yeah, while I was away, whiskey kegbreath announced that he's a, well, we knew he was a bloody-minded sort. But he announced that the man, who opened fire on a military base in Texas a few years ago and killed several people. He announced that that man will be executed by firing squad, but that wasn't enough for him.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Oh, no. According to the DUI hire, he wants it broadcast. live for all the world to see his and the maggots bloodlust for what it's worth the United States military has not executed one of its own former members or members I mean technically this guy is still in the military at Leavenworth hard labor but we haven't the United States hasn't executed a member of the military since 1945
Starting point is 00:17:19 and now we're going to start and it's all set up to be ever so ironic because the execution has been the state-sponsored murder is scheduled
Starting point is 00:17:43 to take place on the same day at the same time approximately as he committed the crime at Fort Hood. This is repulsive. Make no mistake.
Starting point is 00:18:04 But, you know, we can't say things like we're better than that now. We're lowering ourselves to the level of our partners in peace, the most serene, high, gracious kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the headloppers. They're presently set to lop the head off of something who, someone, a Sri Lankan man, who is accused of having something. said something untoward about a dead man, namely Muhammad. So we're into that. We're down with that.
Starting point is 00:18:45 But not everybody is. It's going to be a firing squad. I guess going with tradition, one member of the firing squad will have a blank in his gun. Yeah. don't you know as micha points out i really don't want to hear anything about sharia law anymore because we're uh we're doing that shit that that bronze age shit ourselves but lo and behold credit where it's due hey gino are you out there um i'd like a little background on uh uh senator john curtis who actually found the courage to
Starting point is 00:19:37 speak up and speak out. He's a Republican. Found the courage to speak up and speak out against this monstrous behavior by, well, a monstrous human being on any number of levels. Senator Curtis of Utah went over to what used to be Twitter and made a post,
Starting point is 00:20:06 and, well, you knew this was going to be like catnip for me because, well, it's Ah, God, she's been away for two days and she's already back to ancient Rome. Don't blame me, blame John Curtis, who said Seneca, and by the way, Seneca was Nero's tutor, well, for a time. Seneca warned that Rome's bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment. Secretary Hegss's plan to live stream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite.
Starting point is 00:21:01 The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider. Now, I had read not since 1945, but the article I'm looking at refers to a public execution, not having happened since the hanging of Rainy Bethay in 1936, and it created so much public outrage that the law was eventually changed. I don't know if we live in a country that can manifest outrage at something like this anymore, not what I see from people I once considered. friends on Facebook as they bark and grunt about wanting to see this woman executed or
Starting point is 00:21:58 that woman execute. Well, maybe it's the woman thing. But I'm sure he'd be all for this too. I guess Jimmy Dick Bowman J.D. Egg or whatever he's calling himself these days or whatever names on his
Starting point is 00:22:20 birth certificate. I guess he's not too tickled with it. He said he doesn't plan to watch the live stream at the execution. But you can be damned well sure that the Orange Daddy will. He hasn't had a chance to watch someone nearly die until he, uh, since he was, uh, choking the life out of a 13 year old little girl. Apparently we haven't done military execution since 1961, which is ironic as fuck. when you consider that we let Lieutenant William Cali live after he led the Mili Massacre,
Starting point is 00:23:14 if we were ever going to execute someone, that would have been the guy. But no, Whiskey Pete is counting on having a spectacle, and he wants people to watch. From the Camel Cardinal, Brother Deacon Asa says, pay-per-view execution just want to remind folks that even a blood cult like the Islamic Republic of Iran doesn't live stream state-sanctioned murder no and even in an uncivilized place like the United States you know we we let some reporters in to verify the execution who watch in abject horror in places like
Starting point is 00:24:14 Alabama where they put a bag over a person's head and strangle him to death or kentistan where they use expired veterinary drugs that is to say drugs produced for veterinary use to try to kill people in this case a woman who is living a tormented existence in a hospital bed somewhere in Tennessee now Jesus Christ. Yeah. Yeah, a blood cult like the Islamic Republic of Iran. Doesn't live stream states sanctioned murder? Do they, but Brother Deacon, do our most puissant, serene, noble, high, gracious partners in peace in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?
Starting point is 00:25:08 They do broadcast theirs, don't they? I've accidentally seen a couple, like the woman, the immigrant woman who had her head. head lopped off because a child to whom she was nanny died while she was on the job. She had nothing to do with the child's death. They just cut her head off for good measure. Because they're civilized. Ah. Jeremy says, as long as when it's Pete's turn for punishment for various war crimes, he gets the same.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I'm all for it. Stream away. But you know, I don't think the. current candidate for state-sanctioned murder who did a horrible thing, who did a monstrous thing, who did a twisted and sick thing, motivated, hey, by what else, of course, religion? Just like so many other shooters in this country have been motivated. He was motivated by Islam. We've had other shooters who were motivated by, of course, Christianity.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Then there was the murderer who was motivated by the fact that he was an in-cell and women wouldn't date him. Never mind, let's not get lost in the weeds. But, well, then again, wasn't exactly live. Hey, you know, let's ask the maggots. You got to watch your beloved Charles James Kirk killed in real time. How'd that work out for you? Did you enjoy it? Would you've enjoyed it if it'd been a trans woman?
Starting point is 00:27:06 I think that's a better question. Would you've enjoyed it if it had been a queer or a liberal who was sitting there just talking and exercising free speech and dead? Yes, you would have enjoyed it because that's how sick the maggots are. I don't ever want to stoop to their sink to their level. as I said you know part of the reason I don't do horror movies is because I used
Starting point is 00:27:38 to get to watch the raw feed come down off the bird at CNN and you see real death you don't ever want to see real death anymore and that speaks to how sick sick
Starting point is 00:27:58 truly sick whiskey peat keg breath is he likes to watch I don't know, Jeremy, I think I would very much rather see Whiskey Pete get returned to rank, sit before a court-martial, be convicted by a military jury, and then sent off to Leavenworth to live out the rest of his days, busted to something less than private at hard labor,
Starting point is 00:28:44 until he can labor no more. That's true, Jeremy. We helped broadcast with the then-broken government of the execution of Saddam, and his head almost came off when we hanged him. And that's kind of, you know, history. It is said, and I could be wrong. well and Micah just anticipating where I'm going I'm not proud of it but I'd rather see him hang
Starting point is 00:29:33 well that's when the Nuremberg executions began Guring found some sympathy amongst his captors and the night before he was scheduled for execution someone gave him a cyanide capsule which he promptly swallowed and died the reason he did that or so history tells us, is because he was content to be put before a firing squad, because that was the form of execution for members of the military.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Hanging was a crime, was a punishment for a common criminal. I'm surprised that Whiskey Pete is out there being okay with the firing squad. So, yeah. Mika says I'm not proud of it, but I'd rather see him hang. I think Mika means whiskey Pete. But I am. I'm surprised that we're going to shoot this mass murderer. Well, wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I bet you they already had conversations there in the Pentagon with Whiskey Pete, you know, freshly jacked up on a big loading dose of testosterone in his butt and feeling. manly as hell. I want to hang him. I want to hang him myself. Wee. Sir, we can't do that. The law says we can only shoot them.
Starting point is 00:31:34 God damn it. Can I just slip into his shell and murder him with my bare hands? Oh, sir, you probably wouldn't want to do that because he could probably still beat your scrawny ass. You see the video of him running with the military? There are a soldier, soldier, soldier running. And a couple of seconds go by, and here comes Whiskey Pete. Trying to catch up.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Jesus, this performative masculinity is hilarious. But it's also sick. And these are sick people. So that gets the password out of the way. Yeah. My God. giving much better description to that video man man man woman man woman
Starting point is 00:32:41 than whiskey teat sorry that please don't that that is that's not like dirty heavy breathing that's out of breath can't do this shit oh fuck breathing we're not an okay country
Starting point is 00:33:08 not at all Sorry, doing multiple things here. I apologize. But email coming in from Cynthia in the Bay Area. It is depraved. The drunk is depraved, and he is staining us with his fucking depravity. Public execution? I called my congressman to complain about it.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Everyone should. I fucking demand it be stopped. But Cynthia does observe that maybe a few people should be executed. for the ongoing boat murders. Ah, yeah. She adds, I gather Newsom is considering commuting the death sentences of everyone in California's death row before his term ends. I hope he does it and good on him for that if he does. You should have done it a long time ago.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Of course, and you have to figure this is part of his political calculus trumps all, unless he's already decided he's not going to run for president. the minute that he does that, the Republicans who have already, new scum, etc., they'll paint him as some sort of liberal, sissy, panty waste who can't stand to see people
Starting point is 00:35:32 face justice for the crimes they've committed. I got an idea. How about California just to eliminate? the death penalty. There's a wild one. And for, uh, from Sylvie, it seems we're both convalescing. Welcome back, dear friend, having returned from a two-week and one-day absence in the uh, Brub Dignagi and embrace of the Santa Fe healthcare system. I return to Chey Monier. Shame on your. I always love that. To convales, so to speak.
Starting point is 00:36:10 I shan't fling pearls at the food in the nursing home, save to say that those in the grasp of dementia were the only ones not affected by a chef who, to quote Tom Lerer, had his taste buds shot off in the war. Oh, suffice to say simply that after the second or third excursion into this palace of gustatory grandeur, I left this note on my plate. My sincere condoliance, oh chef. Convalescence is not all it's cracked up to be, since my beloved needs bed restress, the tasks of restructuring our love nest, handling,
Starting point is 00:36:48 trash removal, rent payment, laundry, four loads, throwing out rancid food, dealing with locating packages left on our doorstep, etc. fell to me with a broken ankle. Suffice to say, I had not before this heard of the term shit patty. Pray for my soul. Anent firing squad execution, such honors are due to soldiers, officers, and important people. hanging is the disgrace, the insult, the fate that Herman Guring committed suicide in his cell to avoid the shame after he requested and was denied, death by firing squad.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Kegbreath doesn't know military custom, nor does he care. He'd rather enjoy the bang-bang-bang. Embesile. Inbecile. Sett imbecile. But no, I am well, Sylvie. I just, I got to have a little. little bit of family time and it was extremely sweet and loved every minute of it and hope to have a
Starting point is 00:38:04 little bit more before they have to depart um but more importantly i hope you're on the end and it can't be fun so fingers crossed for you and in the for the love of god eat something with some flavor to it I remember hospital food, particularly for the, well, entirely the week that I spent after my biggest surgery some several years ago. As soon as I was sobered up enough, and it was still during COVID, I started raising hell until they let me do DoorDash. and the first two things I ordered in were A, ribs from Dreamland,
Starting point is 00:39:05 and B, like, four different kinds of chicken salad from chicken salad chick. And as a side note to all that, I'm excited because we're finally getting chicken salad chicks in almost level West by Cold Trump, Genestan. One has already opened in Barbersville, which is way too far. But there's one coming in South Charleston, and I can't wait. And again, here where I live, down in the settlements where I go for provisions, we're getting Huey Mago's chicken fingers.
Starting point is 00:39:51 Never mind. I mean, what do they say when you walk in? Welcome to Huey's having a goofy day. Oh, and from Daryl in Houston, free country. A free country is a shimmer, just like a free market. It only exists in theory, not in reality. That's not to say we shouldn't strive to get as close to a free country as possible. Well, right, and, you know, the words of the late great Chris Christofferson ring true.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Freedom's just another word for, nothing left to lose. Onward. The lake list. I think that's list. Jeremy says the list of countries that have death by firing squad and yes, most are dictatorships.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Although, well, I mean, Utah. Belarus, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen,
Starting point is 00:41:48 Bahrain, Brazil, Oman, Brazil only allows it during war time. And El Salvador, Guatemala, and China historically allow it under military law or extraordinary wartime circumstances. I mean, it wasn't exactly a firing squad when Reagan sponsored El Salvador and death squads raped and murdered those nuns. but, you know, who's counting? Or when they murdered Bishop Oscar Romero. But again, who's counting? Right. Oh, and the goddess of irony has been busy in the name department.
Starting point is 00:42:43 You cannot make this up. Remember Max Miller? Yeah, Max Miller, running for Congress in Ohio, threw hot water on his wife. injured his child, his two-year-old child, little girl. Yeah, that Max Miller? Well, you know, he got all divorced and everything, and the aforementioned is why. Lo and behold, news hit yesterday that his girlfriend, his girlfriend of two years,
Starting point is 00:43:26 has been indicted. His good, God, fear, and upstanding Bible, believing Christ-centered evil, jellical, gundaminalist, ammo, sexual, Christian maga girlfriend, has been indicted on three criminal counts by a grand jury, grand theft, telecommunications, fraud, and misuse of a credit card.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Apparently, the charges go back to when she was still married. It was broken, the story was broken by a progressive blog, Ohio called the rooster out of Columbus. Apparently she used her former husband's credit card to run up about $9,000 in charges. A lot of those were Instacart charges, and oddly enough, maybe he can be an accessory. They went to Max Miller's residence there in Northeast Ohio. Let's see, there was $50.99 from Spirit Halloween, $107.31 from Ulta Beauty. Did she even buy anything?
Starting point is 00:44:46 Can you even get out the door for $107? Never mind. 152.08 from the vitamin shoppy, and $207.81 from Costco. And that's just a tiny sampling of a much larger list that was sorted out by the fine folks. at Mother Jones. So her ex-husband is a fellow by the name of
Starting point is 00:45:16 Matthew Campert, and speaking to Mother Jones, said she was that, well, Max Miller's girlfriend, his ex-wife, was never an authorized user of his credit card that was in his name only. Oh, well, I bet they thought it was funny when they did it.
Starting point is 00:45:39 She used the credit card from September 2025 to January 2026. Their divorce went final, her and Mr. Camperts, in February 2025. Yeah. But like I said, the goddess of irony has been busy in the naming department because Max Miller's girlfriend's name is Jacklin Allotrash, A-L-A-S-H-A-T-R-A-S-H-A-R-A-R-A-R-H-A-R-A-R-R-A-R-R-H.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I don't know how you come up with a different pronunciation. and all right no that would be a la trash it's french but being the redneck that i am i looked at that and said ala trash does she was she did i i thought that's what i thought that's what the auburn people called the people who root for bama yeah they're just a la trash thank you goddess of irony i i will be sacrificing a rubber chicken to you complete with squeaker at about midnight thank you goddess of irony and in a deposition he swore max miller did that he's been dating miss allotrash here there she is miss allotrash easy roxan but he gave a sworn deposition saying
Starting point is 00:47:53 he'd been dating her since December 2024. So he probably is an accessory before or after the fact to these larcenous activities. Yeah? Meanwhile, Jacqueline Allatrash is an anesthesia assistant and a bodybuilder. Ah, well, I'm sure she'll plead that the steroids made her do it. Mm-hmm. That was a fun one. But I want to offer up some kudos. Offer up kudos.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I don't think some is grammatically correct with kudos. You just... kudos. Kudos to Senator Sherrod Brown, my friend. That black senator from Ohio. Yeah. I hope you get an extra pineapple in hell every time I say it, Raj. Now, Sherrod Brown has been just, well, as I mentioned earlier, or back on Tuesday, I think it was, and Auntie Cat confirmed, Ohio is just a shitty place to have to be right now. Because you can't go to your mailbox, you can't turn on your TV, you can't open YouTube, TikTok,
Starting point is 00:49:42 Facebook, whatever, without seeing these filthy, fucking ads against Sherrod Brown. Sherrod Brown cut off my dingus when I was two-year-old. But unlike so many other candidates who've gone all squishy and wishy-washy, and I hope he doesn't,
Starting point is 00:50:10 he's being attacked by a woman named Sorin Aldaco. Al-A-Trash, Al-Daco, never mind. Who, in the pay of the independent women's forum, the same grift that pays Chloe Cole and Riley Gaines, has been barking and grunting about how she was mutilated as a child when they cut her booties off. She had the surgery as a grown woman when she was 19 years old. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:50:54 She is a liar. a professional liar just like Riley Gaines and Chloe Cole and everybody else at the independent women's forum which of course came into life with a whole bunch of men's money and is still more or less run by men in the background and so as a result the transrelated smears of Sherrod Brown on and on. And let me see if I can get to the, let me see if I can get to the ad so I can run it. I mean, I've met Sherrod Brown.
Starting point is 00:52:03 He was actually on a first name basis with Guy James. And he and I were together at a radio row in a very cold January 2009. And Guy just happened to see Sherrod Brown. walking across the Senate side of the Capitol Hill. And it wasn't that guys saw Sherrod and said, Hey, Sherrod, how you doing? In that beautiful, beautiful voice of his. No, Sherrod Brown saw Guy James and said,
Starting point is 00:52:42 Guy James, how the heck are you, buddy? I was kind of, well, my already existing respect. for Guy increased significantly. And so now, apparently, he knows how. Sherrod Brown knows how to answer a transphobic ad. He didn't run out to the microphone and say,
Starting point is 00:53:31 well, I don't support boys and girls' sports either. Like the woman running against Darlene Graham did in South Carolina Stan or like the woman running for governor in Ohio did or like James Tala Rico did in Texas
Starting point is 00:53:52 this appealing to the trying to appeal to the maggot base never works but now he's taking Sorin Al Daco and going right at her
Starting point is 00:54:16 the ad opens saying seen these ads seen these ads they're a complete lie records show not only is this woman actually from Texas she didn't have any surgery as a minor but john housted he protected men now here's where it's good that's all the time that sherid brown wastes on soren al-daco it's a lie they're liars lying is what liars do
Starting point is 00:54:47 she never had surgery as a minor she's a professional liar and that's all there is to it then he turns his guns in a different direction but john housted he protected men who abused young girls by voting in the senate to block the release of the epstein files
Starting point is 00:55:14 maybe that's because housted took $116,000 from associates of Jeffrey Epstein 10 times more than any other senator. John Houston should be ashamed. I'm Sherrod Brown and I approve this message. God damn right, Sherrod Brown. That's how you do it.
Starting point is 00:55:34 That's how you do it. Take it, wot it up, throw it in the trash, and then go after your dirtbag opponent. And now they have to explain, I mean, have to is a strong term. But now they have to explain why they were lying to the person. public in Ohio. This woman's never been in Ohio. This woman didn't have gender affirming surgery when she was a child. Because in her stupid ad, she says, I had transition surgery without my
Starting point is 00:56:19 parents' consent. Well, that's true. She was 19 years old. She didn't need her parents' consent. But then she says, I was a kid. No, you were 19 years old. You were old enough to vote, honey. And it didn't happen in Ohio. It happened in Texas. And I don't mean to make too big a deal out of it. But frankly, it's refreshing. It is genuinely refreshing to see someone who knows how to fight fucking back instead of trying to, oh, maybe I'll win my race by being Maga Light. You're listening, Amy Acton? It's obnoxious. It's also hateful. And here in West Virginia, we've got a candidate, Riley Moa. this is the chud who posed in violation of any number of international conventions
Starting point is 00:58:35 he posed with the two thumbs-up trump sign in front of a bunch of men who had been warehoused at that shit-hole prison in el shitholador because riley moa well he wants everybody know that he he's a he's a good god fear and upstander and Bible believing Christ-centered evil gelical gun to mentalists. In fact, it wasn't too terribly, well,
Starting point is 00:59:18 June of this year when this happened over on Fox News Radio Rwanda. Tell us about the awesomeness of your orange Jesus, Riley. And he's got a little close-cropped
Starting point is 00:59:36 haircut, and he looks a little bit like Archmoor, who was an arch criminal. Go for it, Riley. You know, we're watching oil prices tick higher this morning, not just because of this new incursion with Iran, but also because these new Israeli attacks on Hezbollah and Lebanon. Well, thanks, Cheryl. Look, the president has gotten us to a point
Starting point is 01:00:02 in which the secretary just outlined that no one has gotten to in the last 47 years. We have the Iranians actually agreeing to not acquiring a nuclear weapon or nuclear material or the ability to... Notice the nuclear. There is something in the maggot and Republican mind that just cannot translate seeing the later letters, N-U-C-L-E-A-R into anything but nuclear. To be able to put together a nuclear weapon in the future. This is huge. No one has been at this point.
Starting point is 01:00:41 So I think, look, I understand everybody's antsy and all of this. We're all nervous. We want things to go quickly and fast. But if we want... Ah, quickly and fast. Okay, I'm glad he clarified. That's some maggot brainpower right there, Riles. A quick deal, you can get a quick deal, but we want a great deal.
Starting point is 01:01:04 And that's what the president is currently working on. He's putting together a great deal. And this is a two-step process. Step one is opening up the straits. We'll remove the naval blockade if the straits are open. Then you're going to move to step two in this process where, look, if there's no dust, there's no dollars. The dollars can start to flow if the nuclear dust starts to get removed. And the administration smart.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Oh, who gave him that line? He didn't come up with that by himself. If there's no dust, there's no dollars. Come on. President Trump is going to have his hand on that dial to be able to turn that up or turn that down in terms of those dollars based on the amount of nuclear dust that we're able to get back from them. So, of course, this is another masterstroke by the president who's ended multiple conflicts in his term here as president. And I think this is going to be another one that's going to go down in the history books is one of the great pieces. I mean, there is some going down going on here, but it has nothing to do with history books.
Starting point is 01:02:06 He steals that he's done. At the same time, though, the concern is the domestic story, and of course that is the midterms. Well, I ain't got nothing to worry about in West Virginia. Yeah, I think that this is going to get resolved before the midterms. The president is certainly acutely aware of that. There's nothing cute about him. negotiators are everybody's aware of it, but you're not going to sacrifice national security for expediency. That just doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Okay, so gosh, he sounds like such a maggot policy wonk, doesn't he? Then again, also from June the 26th, he posted a video showing, and of course he posted it as an excrement over on X, showing what a cool dude he is with his skating board. Woo-wee! Yeah, he goes almost all the way up that ramp. and flips it and comes right back down that ramp. Oh, Riley's a real cool guy.
Starting point is 01:03:26 Mm-hmm. But it turns out there's, well, there's more to meet the eye with Riley. Once upon a time, he were in a punk band. Don't worry, there's not a whole song here. There's only a 25-second clip. but he really hates it when people remember so by all means tell people he was a member of a band called the Rattlers and in fact he was Riley Rattler
Starting point is 01:04:19 this is one of those moments where I wish we were doing video because Riley with his long dark hair and he's hell it may have been a wig and and and and and and like a bandana around it and at one point in time there's an ex count i'll know if it's still there but it was called the rattler fan club uh membership probably won but yeah for your for your listening and enjoyment this is what uh right wing p o s punk sounds like at which point they very masculinely drink a can of white claw or something and throw it on the ground real punk-like. Riley's the screamer there.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Here's some of his music. They writ their own songs, y'all. Uh-huh. But did. And this one is called time traveling. You know, the other night I shared a little piece of Wordsworth's poetry with, with David in Oregon, and I got to tell you, William Wordsworth didn't have nothing on the rattlers.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Woke up fucking with one eye closed. Lucky me, it's party mode. Wish I knew what happened to all my clothes. Beer, bongs, coke, and hose. drunk dialing from my phone blackout at every single show I turned to Scott said let's take Jagger shots
Starting point is 01:06:56 Yeager shots I'm sorry oh shit here come the fucking cops what I say I do ain't no concern to you looks like the lights went out again, wake up in your neighbor's car, your time traveling, wake up in another bar, your time traveling, time traveling baby, time traveling child. Oh, child.
Starting point is 01:07:39 Hmm. Girl talking about what I did. Hold up. that ain't my kid. Rattler way of life, that's how I live. What I say, what I do, ain't no concern to you. Looks like the lights went out again. Good night. The musical stylings of
Starting point is 01:08:11 Maggot member of Congress from West Virginia, Riley Moore. But wait, I mean, that's, kind of typical really if you want to get right down to it i mean i mean yeah party but then there's a lyric to a song no wonder he's a member of congress he was never going to make it in a band and this here song is called fully loaded full of metal oh god this is some full of metal and my hair looks right looking for a drink
Starting point is 01:09:04 a girl and a fight so he likes to fight girls four on the floor and a beer in my hand don't know how I can drive when I can't even stand cool I'm guessing he's not again No, he's a member of, he's not a member of mad.
Starting point is 01:09:28 Mothers against drunk drivers. He's a member of damn, drunks against mad mothers. Girl, you think you safe with me, but you're wrong. Girl, you think you're safe with me. I'll leave you drunk in a ditch because I got to move on. My engine's hot. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I'm a loaded gun. I'm ready to blow. I'm ready to blow. Slamming Jack while Mickey shreds a solo, the more I drink, the more my... I mean, yeah. There he is. Okay, I think I can see the lyric better here.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Yeah. Oh, yeah, I really wouldn't want you to miss this. slamming jack while Mickey shreds a solo the more I drink the more my snake starts to grow doing bees down Highway 1 look out ladies because I'm a fully loaded gun girl you think you safe with me but you're wrong
Starting point is 01:11:08 I'll leave you drunk in a ditch because I got to move on my intention's not my intention's hot i'm ready to go i'm ready to go i'm a loaded gun i'm ready to blow you know he's working about how he hates women and how how his hair's looking right and he's ready to blow uh yeah well now uh that's a thing And that's the guy that the maggots in West Virginia in one congressional district sent to represent them. But again, his rock and roll fantasy is to hurt women. Yeah, I wish I was kidding.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Rhapsie probably does. Does Riley Morris fell more, more? And I don't want to be taken wrong in what I'm about to say. But it's worth noting that he has a cousin, Moore Capito, who had some political ambitions. And he was in the West Virginia legislature for a while. But then it turned out that he's gay. And there went political ambitions for More Capito. I think More Capito is Shelley More Capito's.
Starting point is 01:13:37 son, whereas Riley, Rick Ratler Moore is a cousin. What a chud. And way back when the West Virginia Democratic Party condemned him for the sicko-misogynist that he is, and so he's tried to make all of this
Starting point is 01:14:22 disappear. But in the state of West Virginia, that name Moore. Well, they have been a blight on this state for generations. Archmore, the patriarch back then, was so crooked they had to bring an auger to the cemetery to screw him into the dirt when he finally died. Well, sure, Jeremy. I mean, that kind of goes without saying, I hope. and in fact we're 20 minutes into the second hour of the program let's go over and see uh see what jeremy's into this evening hey jeremy i guess i kind of i was kind of quick on that i'd turn you off in the background yeah i'm here now so can you hear me yeah rickie and the rattlers like i said henmer rollins he ain't that's for sure
Starting point is 01:15:44 No. Shit, Sid vicious, he ain't. And Sid couldn't play his instrument. I've long like Henry. I've longed like Henry Rollins. He's a, for lack of a better term, he's one of the good ones. But he is a, Henry Rolls is an awesome dude. If you listen to some of his thought processes, he doesn't like these assholes or authoritarian. No, and this is, this is like, what, anti-punk? Yes, this is like, chud.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Chud. Chud punk. Chud punk? It's like rape punk. Insel punk. It's a disgrace to even call it punk. Anyway, I had mentioned, I think last week that I was alerted this week to be some major incidents going on on the street I work on primarily at night. And there sure was.
Starting point is 01:16:39 I was told Tuesday afternoon, don't bother coming to your first stop the rest of the week. We're closing it down. That's the building right across from an ice building. It's a contracting building, so it's not ICE, but they do a lot of contracts for federal jobs and stuff like that. But they closed down both buildings. There's no one in either building all week long. It was relatively quiet until yesterday. Then a large group came, and I think I read 200 people that arrested in a protest yesterday here.
Starting point is 01:17:09 200. So it must have been pretty big at one point. And then today, when I got here to my first stop, there's a large group again. Mostly it looked fairly nonviolent, peaceful, people with tents and stuff like that, just protesting the building. And it looks like most of the people who got arrested for tagging the building. And it wasn't tagging it with spray paint. It was with chalk, so it can be washed off with a little washer or something, so it's not a big deal,
Starting point is 01:17:41 but they still got arrested for nonviolent protest. So in a way, both sides got what they wanted, unfortunately. The Trump administration slapped them in the face by saying there's no one here to protest to. But in effect, they kind of shut down these two buildings basically for the week. And Monday being what it is, I'll wait to see if anything happens here Monday. I have Monday off because it's a federal holiday and all those buildings are closed anyway. So there you go. Wow.
Starting point is 01:18:17 Of course, you know, arrested for nonviolence protesting. Do we know that for a fact? Is it going to stay that way? Are they going to hit them with felonies, you know, bullshit felonies like this DOJ is so fond of? The news are just bringing it to 200 people arrested yesterday. They're not saying yet, but I mean, we'll see. Knowing this administration, they'll try to crack down on some of these people, especially the people who wrote things like Stop Ice and Chalk.
Starting point is 01:18:45 You know what a deadly offense that is. He kills people just like, I can't think what his name is, but he's a famous mission. whose guitarist, this machine kills fascist on the same type of stuff, but it kills them to see stuff like that. But other than that, I mean, I think there was a police shooting here last night, which wasn't, or it was actually yesterday, early yesterday morning. It wasn't associated with the event, but it was still kind of weird. I guess a Wi-Fi wire was down, I'm guessing fiber was down somewhere, and a police guy was trying to move the line, and a car came over the line,
Starting point is 01:19:23 and then tried to get back in the right lane, and the cop right to stop him, shot him. They haven't figured out that whole story yet. The cops under suspension and it's very murky. But that and what else happened this week? Oh yeah, Pete welcoming back the Ibrahim Lincoln and upon arriving on the ship forced him to do a workout with him which he failed miserably at which was hilarious. Come on Pete let's do a workout man yeah. That's right. And as far as the Farrow Squad, as long as they're oiled up, hairless, mussely men with high testosterone, what does it matter? They're going to love it. I mean, Trump will be out there first thing watching it, saying, everyone was a guy like this.
Starting point is 01:20:14 You know, it's true. Very lot, yeah. And my comment about Pete, as long as he gets the same thing, it's mostly ingest. I think it's a disgusting act. I mean, I'm appalled by the very thought of it, being done publicly. For the most part, now even done, period. For some reason, even though I find it hard to find sympathy for the woman that was, you know, horizontally executed and failed miserably, it feels, I don't know, it changed my mind in some of these things. I mean, I'm not a believer in the religious followings, but I mean, I did come up in the church, and it was written pretty clear on a stone tablet once upon a time you believe in that crap.
Starting point is 01:21:03 Thou shall not kill. There was no exceptions. It didn't say by the state, by the government, because if someone else killed you, it doesn't say that all. But then again, it also says an eye for an eye. So I don't know where you come down, but, I mean, it does say quite clear in a stone tablet at one point. Thou shall not kill with no exceptions. Yeah, it's like, did I stutter? Right, exactly.
Starting point is 01:21:25 And kind of what I told people. Someone's like, I made a comment somewhere. Someone will, she said she must have missed that day in Bible study. It said sort of the state evidently. I mean, what's your point? That was kind of my point. everyone missed that. But yeah, so I'm trying to think,
Starting point is 01:21:42 other than it been being kind of a quicker quiet week for me, I mean, it's been interesting, but thankfully, no protesters or her. Of course, a couple shud showed up, you know,
Starting point is 01:21:53 cheering for icing, do more, do more, do more. The typical rednecks with their Confederate flags and shit like that, trying to piss off the peaceful protesters, and thankfully it failed.
Starting point is 01:22:05 I mean, and you'll always get the people well I do find ironic because this has been the news here locally all week long at least one story a night saying hey this bro's been blocked off temporarily for the week because of a week long scheduled protest for this or that and people are asking well why is it blocked off read the fucking news and if they can't do that they complain about it I'm like okay you can't complain about but it's their right to do it I mean again that's in your bill of rights to protest the
Starting point is 01:22:32 government peacefully this is what we do regress the government with protest And they're like, oh, you know, professional laugh, don't have job, shit like that. And so the day someone made in their comment, it said, they did it so that the right can do what they do best, especially maggots, worry about what other people do with their fucking lives and their free time. That's why they did it. But the most interesting reaction I heard was the news approached the police throughout the barriers, you know, keeping traffic out of there.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Because when you come right down to it, people ask why their barriers. They don't want to fucking Charlotte's fear. They don't want some crazy asshole riding into a crowd of protesters they disagree with in trying to kill them. That's what they're trying to stop. That's why the barriers were there. No one thinks about that, but I'm almost positive that's why they were there. And someone said, the police, well, the protesters are blocking traffic like this, and it's horrible. And the police stepped in and said, actually, we're blocking traffic to protect the protesters.
Starting point is 01:23:27 It's not their fault. So it was at least nice the police to say that. But, I mean, I guess other than those that small people, it's not really a small story, but an ongoing issue here. I don't have a lot this week. It's been relatively quiet, other than the interactions out on the sidewalk there are about 100 feet from me. No, I've been collecting stories even while I was away from the mic.
Starting point is 01:23:54 So I think we'll probably be, we'll have stuff to talk about. Quick question, Jeremy, because you know the Eldridge ways of Discord. I see your avatar. Mine is up, but we've got two people in the room. I think one of them's Squeaky. Who doesn't... They just don't have pictures. It's Tristan and Squeaky.
Starting point is 01:24:18 They don't have profile pictures. Okay, okay. Well, I usually see a name, and now I'm not even seeing names. If Tristan's software allowed him, which I believe it does, is reading software. He put up a kind of acute picture of him with Daphne the other day, sitting in his lap. If he wanted to, he could always put them. that is his profile picture. It might take a little work
Starting point is 01:24:37 because of his disability in the reading software, but it could be done. Well, what I find what I find curious is that there's usually names underneath of accounts. And, you haven't clicked on their names. It appears unless you click on their name. If you let zoom out too long, as soon as you click on
Starting point is 01:24:55 like the four people in the room, if you're in the box setting, you'll show their names. Because I'm not seeing names. Oh, there it is. Okay. Okay. Okay. That's weird. It used to just stay. The names just used to stay up. But rest assured, no one gets in here without a scrutiny. Oh, I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:25:14 They turned away a couple of people from weird because they answered weird. Like I said, a couple weeks ago, no, it was about a month or, no, it was more than that. Probably two months ago. Some guy answered all the questions in French. But I just wrote back, I said, hey, where did you hear from the program? And please at least say in English, why you want to be here? They wrote back in French, why deny them? I'm like, they can't even, you know, simple instructions.
Starting point is 01:25:34 If they can't speak our language that most of us speak, it's not going to do as much good. So other than that, yeah, so there's that. And David should be fine. I think he's been having some account problems. No big deal. He's back in the group, and everything should be fine. He didn't do anything wrong, just something happened here and there, and the way the Internet is, unfortunately.
Starting point is 01:25:59 So there you go. But other than that, other than that, Yeah, it looks like I see Tristan, I'll lazy and hey as Mike off. If he wants to talk, he can. I'm going to go back to work. I'm going to be done particularly early tonight if I can just because I had the opportunity to really bust it out tonight. Yay, good for you. And start my once in a while, three-day weekend, so yes.
Starting point is 01:26:22 Nice. Okay, doke. Well, let's see if Tristan's got anything for us this evening. I was running, I was playing with my cat. Can you hear me? Yeah. Hi, Daphne. Okay.
Starting point is 01:26:49 Hello. Um, yeah, I've just, well, we're back to me getting up in the afternoon. So as soon as I get up, I got to make a video. And I've been going all day and playing with my cat. And so, um, yeah, it's quite something. Did you, did you hear about the one million barrels of oil that Trump has, uh, pledged to get from Russia? Yeah, as part of a larger story of him rolling over and getting his belly scratched by Putin for sanctions relief. Oh, yeah, he thinks that's exactly what it is.
Starting point is 01:27:31 These people, Roxanne, are so goddamn desperate to make it seem like they're doing something that they... This is like not even one day of oil that passes through the Strait of Hormuz. No. Not even one day. and how these people are panicking so badly they want to hey we want we want to look like we're doing something when we're actually not and you know what fuck lindsay graham too we're gonna take the act that we named after him and torch the shit out of it three weeks after we fucking signed it and then pee on it to put out the fire exactly these people have zero message to run on. And they're trying to, at the very last minute, hang their hat on this ridiculous,
Starting point is 01:28:23 because, I mean, you know, Mama and Papa Maggot are going to be like, oh, he's getting a billion barrels of oil. Can you believe it? Hey, Tristan, just to tag on what you're saying for a second, since still current, just to do the search, I was pretty sure it's correct, and that was pretty close. The average oil taker on the seas right now holds between 300,000 barrels
Starting point is 01:28:44 and two million. It's not even one tankership. Sure, yeah, absolutely. No, and in fact, I've got a clip here from earlier today over at CNN with Boris Sanchez being shocked, I tell you, shocked to find out that there's corruption going on here. President Trump says that he's reached a deal with Vladimir Putin for Russia to supply the market with more than 300,000 tons of diesel. This is an attempt to bring down diesel prices, which have obviously surged amid the war. with Iran and with the midterm election just 25 days away. CNN's Kevin Liptack is live for us at the White House.
Starting point is 01:29:21 Kevin, this is... Now, just real quick, the cynical political calculus of this is, well, predictable, because NITWITNEO thinks, well, if I can just get the diesel prices down, then my maggots won't hate me anymore. They'll come back to the flock. They love me. See how it works? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:44 shocking for a number of reasons president trump said a few days ago that he was getting ready for a call with vladimir putin in part to talk about uh the controversy and the question swirling regarding the death of that uh plague lab scientists that died and and the sort of unclear reasons for her death now we have this announcement from the president on truth social talking about this agreement with the kremlin walk us through the details in the context Right, and the president didn't mention that still unexplained death of the researcher at all in his readout. He seems exclusively focused on this agreement that he says he's secured from Putin to supply the global marketplace with diesel. Obviously, the president very focused on bringing diesel prices down now three weeks ahead of the midterm elections.
Starting point is 01:30:37 Those prices had been soaring amid the war with Iran at one point above $6 a gallon here in the United States. and the president saying that Russia had agreed to supply 300,000 tons of diesel this month, 500,000 tons of diesel next month, extending into the millions of tons over the coming months. But I think in a lot of ways, this will be seen as a slap in the face to the... God, I hope the Ukrainians sink the shit out of those tankers. Sorry, that's me being mean. The Ukrainians. The Ukrainians have been targeting with their drones, the refineries in Russia,
Starting point is 01:31:14 that had been producing some of this diesel. That is why Putin had put into place a ban on diesel exports back in July. And what Putin had said, as recently as last week, was that that ban wouldn't be lifted unless the U.S. lifted some of its sanctions. And what we have now heard after the president made this announcement from the U.S. Treasury is that they will allow this general license to allow Russian diesel to be sold on the international marketplace. And I think the timing here is notable. It's just this weekend that American envoys, Steve Wickhoff and Jared Kushner,
Starting point is 01:31:53 plan to meet with the Ukrainians down in Miami to try and come up with a way to end the Ukraine war. And the president now announcing that it will allow Russia to sell its diesel to profit from the sales of its diesel on the global marketplace, I think, will be seen as something of an affront to the Ukrainians, even as the president clearly trying to bring down prices here in the U.S. The other reason I think this is somewhat shocking is that Russia is known, according to American intelligence, to be supplying information to the Iranians amid that war, which is still ongoing.
Starting point is 01:32:29 The president saying this week that operations wouldn't resume on that war until after the midterms, but clearly I think a major step by the president here trying to bring down prices, but at the same time allowing Russia to profit from the sales of its own. on the global marketplace. Tadda! Jesus. The graph never ends. It just never
Starting point is 01:32:56 ends. But it'll be fine with me if the Ukrainians, like I said, just sink the shit out of those tankers. Environmental impact, notwithstanding. Well, they're already doing that. That's why Trump is telling him to stop.
Starting point is 01:33:21 I mean, yeah. Because it's making his his daddy cry, big oil-colored tears. And surprise, surprise, surprise, it's coming to light with more and more evidence that RFK has been long tied to some of these Russian weapon factories, not bio-weapon factories.
Starting point is 01:33:48 At the same time he's been screaming about Fauci, it's always projection, it's always a cover-up. Of course. Oh, and did you guys hear that he's, Trump is floating the idea of a fucking oil export ban, which is going to go down about as well as, you know, a fart in an elevator with the fucking oil executives. He's this desperate. Yeah. It's not going to work. I'm not worried about November 3rd. I think it's going to be a good night. It's going to be a feel good night.
Starting point is 01:34:31 I'm worried about that until January 21st. Protecture January 6. He got his dry run. He'll do the same thing again, this or next year, should I say, because he knows he can get away with it now. She'll attack the capital again knowing he's losing. That's entirely possible. I mean, a lot of people are more than just a little bit nervous about that, and in fact, I've got a story here. Videos have been making the rounds, especially in D.C. Of National Guard troops
Starting point is 01:35:22 standing near a ballot drop box. and people read that as, yeah, they're going to try to involve the military or some level of, you know, maggot shock troops to suppress the vote. But now this all took place in Foggy Bottom on Thursday. Two members of the National Guard, or two officials from the National Guard, speaking anonymously, of course, said, well, they were just part of a larger patrol. who uh and they were not assigned to guard the box yeah they're just taking a break uh one of the officials speaking to the washington post said well they're not there to guard the boxes and that will be
Starting point is 01:36:24 reiterated to the soldiers to you know be more aware of where they're standing because there's already been a complaint to the dc board of elections the board of elections in turn asked the national guard to make sure they don't have troops anywhere near the drop boxes Jesus. The anti-Trump Republican Joe Walsh said, armed troops at an active ballot drop box? Who ordered this? And the Post pointed out there is federal law that controls on this.
Starting point is 01:37:10 It is against the law to put any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held. Do you believe it? Do I? Hey, there's Christopher. Hi, Christopher. the very fact that he paroled and commenced or let that woman go who messed with the ballots last time the ballot machines and tampering with them and she's war-grim gaming a possible civil war after the elections should make everyone a little worried just a little the fact they've been talking about it
Starting point is 01:38:11 and i just ran across this one you know we talked about the botched execution in tennessee of course here's well here's another name you know here's another name name for Transgender Day of Remembrance next month. Down in Tennisan, God, this makes me sick. Down in Tennisstan, a man was convicted by a jury tried and true, a man named Samuel Ward Jr. For killing a woman named Paris Lee. He shot her six times.
Starting point is 01:39:12 A higher court just overturned that conviction. because they agree with Samuel Ward Jr.'s lawyer's assertion that he should have been able to tell the jury that the woman he murdered was trans. Because then the jury would have had some sympathy for him and maybe not convicted him because it's okay to kill a trans woman in Tennessee. She was outside her home in Memphis in June 22, 22, when he gunned her down and then drove 30. Minutes home and left her to die on the street.
Starting point is 01:39:58 But he wasn't even convicted of murder. He was convicted of, wait for it, voluntary manslaughter. Because the jury couldn't even find that it was murdered to kill a trans woman. That's just ridiculous. It's sickening. I got my audio working. Yay. He's hanging out here with Arlo.
Starting point is 01:40:31 Hi, Arlo. Arlo is a very good boy. He is. He is. It's raining here today. It was gorgeous all week and finally the rain came. Well, I just got an email from Steve in New York asking if you were in mourning. Oh, Mr. Dicka, here's the story with him. I've been, there's a clip you should play, Roxanne, if you could bring it up.
Starting point is 01:40:59 It's a quick one. It's from a, if you look up, if you Google, I'll whip your ass quote from Mike Dicca on the score radio program I used to be a big fan, obviously, when I was young, before I really realized what a freaking prick the guy was.
Starting point is 01:41:21 He's just an asshole. I mean, he really is. But I was a huge fan when I, you know, as a kid, and even in college too. But, you know, he's a bear's all-time great, of course. You know, he's a legend in Chicago. He can't take that away from him.
Starting point is 01:41:44 He's a prick. Well, I saw the news earlier today. There it is. Okay, let me see if I can get this going. I saw the news earlier today, and I thought immediately of Bossman Wayne. Oh, really? Yeah, because Boss Man Wayne's big business. brother used to shine Mike Dittka's shoes when he still...
Starting point is 01:42:16 Instead of getting mad at the way his team played, why did it, during the press conference, why did it appear that Mike was holding back trying not to cry like the baby that he is? My office is at 250 North Washington. Anytime you want to meet me there, you call me back on the air. You tell me what time and when, and I will whip your ass. You got that.
Starting point is 01:42:41 I just go wrong with that. It's easy to hide behind a microphone, town. Let's get your face out in public and let's live where people have to see you every day. We'll see who the gutless wonder is. There's your clip. Yeah. It's pretty much him in a nutshell. Yeah, and, I mean, he said some horrid things.
Starting point is 01:43:07 To be fair, though, some of the horrid things he said he actually apologized for. Really? Yeah. You think you saw the light at the end of the... At the end of his life? Why does it seem like that happens a lot with right-wingers? I mean, is it the bat wings? Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 01:43:34 Yeah, yeah. Well, even Donnie has said it, right? Well, I don't think I'm going to be going to heaven. Uh-oh. And, you know... He's worried. Because they live in that fallacy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:52 What's that, Jeremy? It's because they live in that religious fallacy that even Hitler, right before he shot himself up the head and even killed herself, as long they said, I'm sorry, baby, Jesus, they went to heaven. That's what they're living behind. They think as long as they apologize, 10 things where they die, they'll be clear of all the wrong they did against people. It doesn't work that way. Well, it'll just become ant food anyway. Worm food.
Starting point is 01:44:16 Worms. Yeah. All right, what is the ideology they do it for? Because I think it's the last second reprieve. Yeah. I guess that's what it is. Oh, and did you see where the Nobel Prize for Literature winner made a point of trolling nitwit narrow? No, I didn't, you know, I saw a clip of it on BBC, but I had the sound down because I was working.
Starting point is 01:44:43 But I saw the Nobel Peace Prize winner, but I didn't hear about that. In her acceptance speech. Yeah, it's funny. Like Princeton said, oh, she's won the Nobel Prize. We're so proud. And then got community noted by people saying, yeah, she left Princeton when they refused to give her tenure. And so Navanatham Navi Pillay, 85, won the – oh, I said literature. I was wrong.
Starting point is 01:45:21 This was the Nobel Peace Prize that nitwit Niro. so desperately covets. She's a South African jurist. She's a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and she won the 2026 Peace Prize. She was informed that she had won while she was at the Nuremberg Court in Germany. She said, well...
Starting point is 01:45:56 Are they getting it ready for, like, Whiskey Pete? She said, well, if you all clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump. Well, give her Ramalama for that. Absolutely, and the thing is, she was given the prize for her tireless efforts, and in fact, the fact that she was, quote, instrumental in ensuring war crimes,
Starting point is 01:46:30 crimes against humanity and genocide, are prosecuted and the guilty or punished, punished. The committee chair, Jürgen Vatne Friednes, said, Navi Pile's commitment to universal legal principles and her firm moral compass are constants in a long career. A common thread runs from her early work defending Nelson Mandela and others who stood up against apartheid to her service as a judge in some of the key international court cases of our time.
Starting point is 01:47:10 Ooh, there's audio? Let's see, let's hear. Out of clapping. They share the prize with Trump. My question is, is it true? No, they call me. Christoph called me out now to tell me, and I said it must be a job.
Starting point is 01:48:28 No, it's on the BBC. It must be true. No, no, it's everywhere. It's on the BBC. It's everywhere. Let's see, at this venue, your applaud music, very beautiful. Really.
Starting point is 01:48:46 You don't want to receive an award prize or anything unless the public agrees that you deserve this. So that's how I appreciate your applause, thank you so much. but being a lawyer and a judge I still want to verify the same thing. So I mean it's very appropriate that I would friends and colleagues, all of whom support human rights. The last thing I did is the delivery of the report on Gaza, naming what's happening there is genocide. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:26 The actions to that support is paying tribute to me for my courage. And you can imagine, I'm surprised I was, why would you need courage to speak the truth? You interpret the law, you look at all the facts, so it's an impartial decision making. So right now I'm still involved as an ad hoc judge in the case brought by the Gambia against Myanmar. me and mom so everybody says when you're going to stop when you're going to stop I just turned 85 last month here I can't obviously stop my work in support of the New Immoluments School Academy because of the people we need here but really thank you so much you know I hope this is not a joke then I'm sorry thank you thank you thank
Starting point is 01:50:30 Bless her heart. She just worked humbly and was shocked to find out. And the other woman I was talking about is a Canadian poet. Sorry, sorry for the mix-up. But there's a certain irony involved in this because apparently NITWAT Nero was waiting with bated breath to see if he would finally win the Nobel Peace Prize. You know what?
Starting point is 01:50:59 Maybe it would be appropriate for the Nobel Committee to finally... finally give him the Nobel Peace Prize when he finally gives the world some peace. You know, champagne day. But at the same time that he was just waiting, waiting, waiting to find out that I finally won the Nobel Prize that I've done so I've deserved for so very long. Well, the International Criminal Court,
Starting point is 01:51:34 with whom she has worked, recently said that Nitwit Nero's little lick spittles quote have obstructed the course of justice and this prompted little Marco Rubio
Starting point is 01:51:57 to say we will ban transactions with this rogue court cutting off their resources and crippling their ability to operate against us because our message is clear the United States and the American
Starting point is 01:52:12 people are not subject to the jurisdiction of this fake ICC. We don't need that court and we don't want it. Whiny little bitch. The ICC, on the other hand, said history will judge this moment. It is an attempt to obstruct the course of justice and to prevent the court from doing what it was created to do. It is an assault on the rule of law and on the very foundations of the international legal order. Every word of which is true.
Starting point is 01:52:50 I have a question. Duterte is sitting there. Any idea when his trial's going to begin? No. You know, that's going to be a big deal. Because if that's not seen as a legitimate trial, and from everything I know about the guy, he's definitely guilty, okay?
Starting point is 01:53:17 Not only did he go around shooting drug-use, and drug peddlers, but political opponents as well. Yes, yes, yes, and journalists. It was more under his reign. It was more dangerous to be a journalist in the Philippines than it was in Iran. You know, because international law is taking a beating. Since the reign of Donnie, for sure. and BV and Pouty.
Starting point is 01:53:56 None of them give a shit about international law. Right? Right. Well, because they're international criminals. Because they're international criminals. That's yes. I've yet to see a criminal who is in favor of the court system. Excellent point, Roxanne.
Starting point is 01:54:21 And I just, I did want to kind of. Correct Jeremy's record for saying. He had mentioned he's fearful for leading up to January 6th. It's actually January 3rd. That's when Congress comes into session. Yes, that's absolutely correct. And did you know about this? Maybe you talked about it, this clerk business, shit about the clerk?
Starting point is 01:54:43 Yeah, that the clerk will simply refuse to seat the new members? Yeah. What the fuck is this? On the order of the... It's insane. On the order of the speaker? Yeah. Who will not be speaker?
Starting point is 01:55:03 That's the problem with all of this, Christopher. The first order of business, because it's a new Congress. There is no Congress. There is no Congress until it establishes its rules for the coming term. So who's the close? So the only guy left standing when there is no Congress? is the clerk. Basically, yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:31 What? This is the craziest thing I've ever heard. Well, remember when all congressional business came to a standstill? Back when Marginal Trailer Queen and Matt, it just Gatesworth did their coup against Kevin McCarthy? Yeah, Cabers. Well, everything. had to stop because there was effectively no speaker because they had successfully vacated the chair and at that point in time Congress can't do dick complicated legal term that
Starting point is 01:56:16 without it's in the constitution it's in the back it's in the constitution billable rick loves it when i say that but that's literally the first order of business and the clerk runs that show. Now, the clerk is supposed to be nonpartisan. Yeah, right. Just like the fucking,
Starting point is 01:56:48 what do they call that? Who's the one in the Senate? Parliamentarian. Yeah. Right? Just like, yeah. Well, I mean, I think the House has a parliamentarian too. Oh, so there's a clerk and a parliamentarian.
Starting point is 01:57:02 Yeah, but there's no the clerk controls the doing of business until there's a speaker. And so everybody who didn't win is not going to be there. This would be a coup. I mean, this would be worse than January 6th, Christopher. It would be a complete abnegation of the entire Constitution of the United States. It would be W is just a piece of paper. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:48 So, yeah, I mean, Jeremy has good reason to be worried about that. But that's actually January 3rd, not the 6th. Yeah, but I find, I mean, I'm hard pressed to imagine that happening. Yeah, but I've been hard pressed to imagine most everything that's going on here. Fair, fair, fair. The monkey fucking around with the post office, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Who would have funked it, right? All this shit. I mean, it's all madness, all of it. And it's illegal, and it's unconstitutional, and basically everything that this administration's done. I mean, this, it always helps, Christopher, to remember that all fascist governments are at their base criminal enterprises. Yes, yes. I mean, this is, the maggots are literally the badges. We don't need no stinking badges party.
Starting point is 01:58:53 And the thing is, in most cases, probably, maybe not all, but in a lot of cases, they come to power through democratic means. Always. Always. Yeah. Democracy. Yeah. That's where we're at here. This one's been a little tougher than what, uh, Mr. Hitler.
Starting point is 01:59:19 I mean, Hitler took what, 100 days, not even, basically dismantle everything. Yeah. this has been a tougher enough to crack but if they get away with this nonsense um it's all over i mean game game over maybe i i i well i mean there there are signs out there um i don't know if you saw this but uh attorney general todd blanche uh is uh big mad because uh you know there have been a bunch of resignations from the DOJ. And he says that he whined about the people who left and told a podcaster that most of our prosecutors and agents are great, but changing the perception of the culture has been the hardest task.
Starting point is 02:00:31 So the prosecutors that left over the past year and a half, they hate us. They basically union. and so it's formed an organization whose sole mission is to go after the current Department of Justice, so pushing back on that perception is a constant challenge. And the Barry... Because they are now the Department of Injustice. Well, the buried lead here is that 5,000 members of the DOJ have either resigned or retired or were purged. In the first year, he was in office. I'm not surprised.
Starting point is 02:01:09 I'm bad. 14 lawyers left the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota alone. I swear to Christ, every time Todd Blanche fucking moans or whines in a fucking mic, there should be someone there with a loudspeaker playing that clip from Jim Carrey and liar, liar. Stop breaking the law, asshole. I swear I should happen every time. And Alito, too, that little whiny bitch. Oh, my friends don't like me anymore. And at one point, because everything is still Biden's fault, I don't know if it'll ever not be Biden's fault.
Starting point is 02:01:50 He said, I was trying to think of the good word in the English language that wasn't quite so direct, but it's a lie to the American people about the Department of Justice under the last administration that they weren't coordinating directly with the White House. They weren't. We were fucking here. There was a reason we called Merrick Garland Merrick the Meek. They were operating on the norm. that had existed in this country for 237 years, and it was all gone in a moment.
Starting point is 02:02:34 Guys a crook. Would you go for Jack Smith as AG if we... Oh, I would love that. It would be, you know, it would be like watching Mars attacks, and hearing Slim Whitman saying little maggot heads would just be exploding all over creation. and and they only you know what when he came
Starting point is 02:03:03 his first press conference he would all he needs to do is go up there to the podium and say okay where were we right okay we'll just
Starting point is 02:03:12 hit and restart right back where we were oh and there was another article like I said I took a little it was nice taking a little break it was really sweet but I never stopped
Starting point is 02:03:27 actually reading. There was another article. Oh, darn it. I was doing the setup and I lost the story. Maybe it'll come back to me. But Todd Blanchie has a bunch of whining to do because he keeps losing in federal court. and Katie Fang is whipping his ass and making him like it,
Starting point is 02:04:02 she's been suing and making headway with the court on wanting the actual handwritten notes from the interviews of particular Epstein victims and the ones who, you know, named Canckel's Caligula. the one whom he raped between the ages of 13 and 15. Yeah. And so originally Blanchie said, well, I'm not going to release them in any form
Starting point is 02:04:42 because they're substantially similar to the 302 reports we've already produced. Substantially similar. And Katie Fang said, you and I don't have to go to law school and you don't really need a lot of information to be able to glean that there is a material, substantive difference between something that is substantially similar and something that is duplicative or identical.
Starting point is 02:05:06 There's no way that those 302s were literally word by word the same damn things as the handwritten notes. And so going back to September, Blanchie is under an order from Judge Emmett Sullivan to hand over the written notes for him to review personally and that was supposed to be delivered by the 24th of September and according to Blanchie
Starting point is 02:05:42 the hand-delivered notes were or the documents were hand-delivered to the judge's chambers 17 minutes before the deadline however the notice says that that one version was handed over but doesn't mention the other version with the redactions which would show the cover-up.
Starting point is 02:06:15 And so Katie Fang said, is he in compliance? Doesn't seem like it to me. Because how else can Judge Sullivan determine whether the redactions were justified? Whiny little bitch. Well, he's just trying to do his job, protect his orange daddy. Yeah, but she did say, that's one and only job. Me and my lawyers are going to, I'm going to keep my foot on his throat and on the
Starting point is 02:06:47 throat of the DOJ. Good for her. Yes. I hope she's got some really good security. Real good. I hope so, too. You're not wrong. By the way, we are into the third hour of the program. We are thus far a goose egg.
Starting point is 02:07:08 We have the John Ossoff Not Pulling Punches Challenge on the table, courtesy of Ralps. Thank you, Ralphs, for that. We are at $840 for the deficit. That is basically this broadcast week, the three days I've been on air, not counting, the two days that I've got a little time with family. how was that roxan tell us about the meal oh well i mean you did you can you can ask the brother deacon he can show you the food porn i brined and seasoned my pork shoulders and they went on wednesday evening at 624 they ran at about 220 degrees degrees Fahrenheit until about 1245.
Starting point is 02:08:00 I pulled them off and they, I've got, I've got these fire, flame heat resistant silicone gloves, and I pulled them off whilst wearing those. And as I was transferring one of the shoulders to the pan, it just fell apart in my hands, which is a beautiful thing. and we spent a day yesterday and took the barbecue and it was ever so well received and it just made my heart happy and I've still got plans for other things I checked in my freezer and I've got a few pounds of frozen shrimp and I want to make Caribbean jerk shrimp.
Starting point is 02:08:56 Oh, yeah. I've only had it one place ever. And that was a restaurant in Charleston. There were other locations. There was one in Florida, one in Michigan. Called Tidewater. They had great raw oysters, too. I used to love nothing better than when I was in Charleston.
Starting point is 02:09:16 I'd go to Tidewater and have a half a pound of jerk shrimp and a dozen raw oysters. perfect. But they just closed down in the middle of the night and their staff, many of whom had been there for ages, were just, oh, I ain't got a job today. How about that? Interesting. You know, that happened to Tracy's favorite restaurant here in Portland. Really? Yes. Was that the, was that the, was that the place with the wonderful biscuits and gravy and breakfast? Yeah. Yeah. That play, the owner wasn't paying the bills, wasn't paying rent, wasn't paying payroll, and I guess all the profits were going up his nose. You know, that's, that's almost stereotypical in the industry. This restaurant had been open forever, and I don't know what happened. Maybe COVID got them. but they had the most wonderful rolls that they baked fresh there with poppy seeds
Starting point is 02:10:27 and they'd bring a basket of rolls out and some nice soft butter and have the shrimp with it. So I've got some of the rolls in the freezer or some of the dough. And I was thinking, but this jerk shrimp, like I said, I've never had it anywhere but that restaurant. And it's heavenly. Basically, you boil the shrimp, and I use a bag of the crab and shrimp boil, and then I use a bottle of the really concentrated boil liquid, and a couple of lime or lemons,
Starting point is 02:11:11 and a bottle of beer in the boil water. Yeah. It's funny. You mentioned Chris about that restaurant. in my hometown oh about 10 years ago a guy came in with money from out of state and he bought up three local restaurants
Starting point is 02:11:28 and basically did the Napoleon Donovan line of if you let me buy this place all your dreams will come true but within two and a half years he'd gone bankrupt in all three places because all his profit was going up his fucking nose yeah fuck
Starting point is 02:11:40 fuck we lost three treasure restaurants in the area I did hear that the employees of that restaurant what is the name The name escaped me. It's G&G. It's a, I'm almost 55 years old.
Starting point is 02:11:57 I'm having a fucking mind. Something in gravy. Grits and gravy. Gravy and gritty. Thank you. Thank you. I remember Tracy talking about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:12:07 Oh, it is fabulous. And the other thing, their price point, I was shocked. When me and Michelle went there the last time, I was like pleasantly shocked at how cheap everything still was. Like prices are going up, up, up, up everywhere else because obviously inflation. And they kept their prices constant, pretty much. Maybe things were a little bit higher, but not a lot. We were shocked at how cheap the bill was when we got the bill.
Starting point is 02:12:40 So maybe that was another part of the problem. I don't know. But I heard the employees are trying to make it into a co-op and bring it back to life. Oh, that's one of those things that makes me love Portland. When corporate fails, make a co-op. There you go. And, of course, they'll have to have Mary. And, of course, because Victoria introduced me to Portlandia,
Starting point is 02:13:03 they'll have to have Marion Barry Jam. Yes, yeah, yeah. Oh, I'm glad you're watching that. It's, like, at least the first couple of seasons are pretty fucking spot on. It really is. I mean, really? Really? Because that's pretty, it's pretty zany.
Starting point is 02:13:26 Yeah. But no, just to tell you what, it is since I'm finished the recipe, you do the boil, you boil it a shrimp. Don't want to boil them too long, they'll turn to rubber. And then you take them out and you shock them so they stop cooking, you know, ice or ice water. And then after you've drained them and everything, you hit them. them with it's weird I used to be able to buy it
Starting point is 02:13:51 all the time just to make a Jamaican jerk seasoning mix I have that yeah I've got penzies I got pensies
Starting point is 02:13:59 oh that's where I need to get it then I got pensies jerk seasoning it's wonderful what you're so glad you mentioned I love pensies um
Starting point is 02:14:08 that Northwoods did you have the Northwoods I have had yeah that's wonderful but anyway you You just put the jerk seasoning on the boiled shrimp. You know, the shells are still on and everything.
Starting point is 02:14:24 And you just toss it and stick those in the fridge. But then you make the dipping sauce. And the dipping sauce is phenomenal. I like to use the Japanese-style mayo. You ever seen the Coupie mayo? Maybe. Yeah, that's like the stuff that you would get at a sushi place, right?
Starting point is 02:14:49 Yeah, Japanese-style mayo. They would put on some rolls, right? It's just a little bit different from regular mayo. It's got a different flavor profile. I love it. But I start with that. You squeeze in the juice of like two limes. Work that together.
Starting point is 02:15:06 A little teeny tiny splash of pineapple juice. Work that in. Hit it with cumin because it's really cumin forward. cumin, cumin, whatever. Yeah, tomato, tomato. And then you put your Jamaican jerk seasoning in it and stir it together and let it sit for a couple of hours in the fridge and let all those flavors come out. And you peel those shrimp and dip it in that sauce and, oh, my heavenly days, it's wonderful. Oh, and a little sugar, a little sugar.
Starting point is 02:15:43 I think that would be magnificent at your next Super Bowl party person. personally. Oh, that's a good idea. You know, I got from my not that much work. Yeah, it doesn't sound like it. It doesn't sound like a lot of work. He gave me a recipe that's phenomenal. It's a cilantro lime shrimp, and you marinate them overnight. So you make your marinade, and it's, again, very, very simple. Just plop it all in like a Ziploc freezer bag, right, or a couple, depending on how many shrimp you have. And it's lime, cilantro, I mean, basically ground pepper, salt.
Starting point is 02:16:29 I can't remember exactly what else, but pretty basic stuff. These are after the shrimp are already cooked? No, no, no, no. Oh. No. You just, you marinate them, you take the shrimp out. They could even be frozen. If they're frozen, you could maybe marinate them for like two days, you know.
Starting point is 02:16:49 and so they'll thaw one day or maybe a day and a half something like that yeah and then you put them on skewers so then you take them out you put them on skewers you just flip those bad boys over it's nice to do two skewers not just one so they don't wobble if you could use two skewers that works better because they flip easier that way you know what i mean yeah and have the tails all going in the same direction yes yes so so so so super, super simple, super easy and quick, and freaking phenomenal. I mean, I can't stop getting. You can eat like three pounds. Yeah, but you just have to be careful that the people you're serving it to aren't of the cilantro hating sort.
Starting point is 02:17:36 Well, yeah, then you get in that super tasting problem, right? You know about that? Supertasters are especially sensitive to cilantro. Yeah, that's what I mean. It's a genetic thing where it's a cilantro tastes like soap. Yes. My mother couldn't stand it. Which might have been a big reason why she hated Indian food. Like, you could never understand why she wanted.
Starting point is 02:18:01 Well, the funny thing is, I think it works with the lead. I don't know if it, I don't know if it extends to the seed. You know, the seed is coriander. Right? Yeah. Yeah. But this, and you've got to have just a killer fish market in Portland, right? Oh, yeah, there's one in Oregon City.
Starting point is 02:18:21 I mean, there's a bunch of Portland, but there's one here in Oregon City because I'm south of Portland. And it is terrific. Very pricey. You pay through the nose, but it's good stuff. Good, high quality, fresh. Have there been any, this is where Roger would come in handy this evening. Have you seen any oyster warnings this year? There is a season, and to tell you the truth, I have no fucking idea when it is.
Starting point is 02:18:53 But the red tide, you have to watch out for the red tide. So that's the deal. And I look it up, right? So I don't know when that season starts and ends, but you have to be very careful about getting oysters during that red tide season. You want to avoid that. No, I bet a seafood market there probably has some killer oonie. See, Archonroe? Yeah, I might.
Starting point is 02:19:24 I have never looked for that, but they might. You ever had it? It certainly might. Yes. Yes, I went to a fancy restaurant in Chicago for my birthday, and they served that there. It was, yeah, it was fabulous. It was good stuff.
Starting point is 02:19:43 Yum. Oh, I would go absolutely bananas if I'd go absolutely bananas as if I had access to a good seafood market. I think I'd probably make paella at least every two weeks on the grill. That bar that you go to, is it called Maggie's, you said? Yeah. You know, I was thinking the other day. You know, I went on the golly, fuck, 30 years ago.
Starting point is 02:20:16 Wow. Something like that. Yeah, me and my, the least. leader of our team at my consulting firm at the time got a whole group together and it was how many in our raft i can't remember eight yeah that seems about right yeah i think it was eight of us sounds about right might have been ten but i think it was eight and we all he had a big big fucking van and so we all piled in there and drove all the way from chicago holy shit what a ride that must have been oh we had a blast we had a blast and we're pretty drunk all the time did you
Starting point is 02:21:00 do it in one day or did you break it up he's not being our boss what did you do it all did you do the trip in one day or that's about a thousand miles i i think we i think we i think we stayed overnight somewhere shit where were weville can't remember it might have been God, if you went to Louisville. We took 65. There's no, it's crazy. There's no, there's no easy way to get from here to Chicago other than an airplane. Yeah, 60, I mean, I remember we had, obviously we did 65 and then how we cut over probably through Tennessee, right?
Starting point is 02:21:40 To get to West Virginia? Kentucky? Kentucky. Where we? Yeah. I mean, I guess you could have gone down and gone as far as Elizabethtown and gotten on the bluegrass parkway, come to Lexington, and come in that way. But holy shit. I mean, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's going to Britain.
Starting point is 02:21:58 I mean, that's going to Brooklyn to get to Honolulu. Yeah. I can't even remember to tell you the truth. But, um, we did stay there and we, so it was a two-day trip, two-day rafting ride. Okay. Yeah. So we start at the top where they let out. Aren't they, is that going on now? Yes, it's golly season right now.
Starting point is 02:22:25 Yeah. So they're let, they've already let all the water out, or are they letting it out? It's a controlled, it's a controlled release over the course of a month and a half or so. It will end a week from Saturday, which is Bridge Day. Bridge Day is always the culmination of the rafting season. and that was one of the most amazing things i ever saw all that water coming out of there oh it's just a phenomenal sight to see and now we're going and now we're going to get on that crazy shit and the gauly is a crazy ride oh god it's one of the craziest in the world yes very dangerous we had we had only one guy fall out on the very first rapid and it's one of the
Starting point is 02:23:09 It was dangerous because undercut rocks. It's like three of them right there. Yeah. When you hit that rapid. And everybody, and the guide is like, okay, boys, it's going to get real, real fast right now. And so you follow, you know, you listen to me. Like right, left, blah, blah, blah. Paddle, paddle hard, paddle soft, all that shit.
Starting point is 02:23:33 And the guy, one of one of my friends, bang, off he goes on the back. He was not ready for this. And we see him bobbing in the water. We're like, oh, shit. Throw out the life, you know, the ring, right? Hey, grab the ring, grab the ring. And his head goes under the water right under that rock, one of those rocks. And we're like, oh, no.
Starting point is 02:23:59 And then he came back up again. We're like, oh, God. And he got on, he got the ring, finally grabbed it. He, though, look in his eye. I saw his eyes. And you've never seen fear like that ever. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Starting point is 02:24:13 Well, here's a fun little factoid you can add to your story. And I didn't even know it, but I drove right past Roxanne's house. Yeah. Well, that's what I was thinking. You did. Me and my podcast. You did. I must have.
Starting point is 02:24:32 I must have. No, there's no. You did. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When you got out.
Starting point is 02:24:38 and got back on the bus and they deflated the rafts and everything and you left i went right by your house you drove right by my house oh that's cool yeah and i was thinking so me and my friend we got done with the rafting trip we're back in the hotel and it was our last night there and we me and my friend joe were like all right we're we're going to get drinks i think we ran out of beer at the hotel and stuff Everybody else was like, I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed. And me and Joe are like, oh, fuck that. Sarah, last night here.
Starting point is 02:25:14 And we went to a bar. God damn, I can't remember the name, but I was thinking it could have been Maggie's. Probably. Probably not. Where did you stay? Did you stay in the quality in there up on the hill? I think that sounds right. Yeah, you may have walked across the parking lot to Elliott's Whitewater Grill.
Starting point is 02:25:35 Maybe. Maybe. If you got in the car and drove, you went to, you probably went to Charlie's. Charles is a classic dive bar, awesome jukebox, pool table. Maybe that's where we wore. We went up in a little tiny, what do you call those, Cessna's? Yeah. An old old old.
Starting point is 02:26:01 Oh, you mean like a little Piper Cub? Yeah. Was it yellow? It had like no bottom. Like you could see. the ground from the there was like no bottom of the plane and no floor
Starting point is 02:26:17 it was like scary yeah that was scary and you flew over the bridge and everything and you know what he was making Clinton jokes oh I'm sure Clinton was president then yeah he was running for his second term
Starting point is 02:26:35 in office that year yeah now now the real fun, as Theo could attest, that was $5 Charlie back then. There's another pilot now, and he's
Starting point is 02:26:53 got a Piper Cub. He's got open doors, you know, on the sides of the fuselage. But he's also got a 1943 Boeing Stearman biplane, which was used as a trainer for
Starting point is 02:27:09 World War II pilots. You start out in a biplane with, you know, it's a two-seater. And for the adventurous, he'll take you up, take you out over the gorge, and then he'll do emmlemans and
Starting point is 02:27:27 hammerheads, aerobatics, you know, go straight up until the engine stalls and then floop. Yeah. I can't remember if Charlie did that. Yeah. And Charlie, didn't Charlie have like a bunch of mannequins or like, didn't he have like a wax, a wax museum was it? In the hangar too. Do you remember that? Oh, I don't, I don't remember. I remember he. God, those were the early day. I mean, excuse me. My long gone favorite restaurant in Fayetteville was a going concern back then. Sedona Grill on the side street by the courthouse. Oh, they were so good. So good. Brian and Ginny were dear friends at mine, and they eventually just pulled the plug and went to Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 02:28:22 I miss them dearly. You and Victoria, and I know with gas prices they are now, I know it's price prohibitive, but if you ever get a chance, if we can get to, like, a normal time. If we can get out of the wormhole of this fucking universe and find our way back somehow to normalcy, I don't know if that's ever. ever going to be possible, but I could keep hoping. But if we do, and, like, gas is normal, and, like, every, you know. Yeah, and I don't want any good wit showing up and giving me some guff, like, oh, you had the power to go home any time you wanted to. Fuck you, no, we had to get rid of the maggots first.
Starting point is 02:29:09 Exactly. But when you take that road trip down to New Mexico to see your daughter, you do have to head over to Arizona and see the Grand Canyon for sure. Oh, yeah. You need to go to Sedona. I'd love to see the real Sedona. It's the most peaceful place on Earth. Yeah, it's gorgeous.
Starting point is 02:29:31 Oh, by the way, I need to put out some thank yous. Thank you very kindly to Frank and to Jeremy. We are not a goose egg. And Ralph's challenge has been met. And thank you very, very kindly, both of you. And we are down to 78,000. $5 for the fundraising deficit. So if we were to raise another, well, honestly,
Starting point is 02:29:55 sweating a lot of bills here, if we could knock out a chunk, your humble oestus can keep the lupine pest off the porch in a number of ways. But thank you, Frank, and thank you, Jeremy, and thank you, Ralphs, for the challenge. got a note in from, uh,
Starting point is 02:30:20 uh, earlier Cynthia when I was talking about Riley Moore, uh, Ricky Rattler. And he referenced Highway 1
Starting point is 02:30:34 in, in one of his song stylings. And she said, keep him the fuck out of my state. Unless perhaps maybe he wants to drive himself and his drunken state off one of those cliffs along Highway 1, that'd be all right.
Starting point is 02:30:46 being from this side of the country i bet he was thinking more u.s. one down the florida the atlantic coast of florida but he would be more than welcome to drive into the sea there too as to the justice department note coming in from darrell uh the purge 5,000 fired or self-purged these are the best employees that were in the justice department otherwise they wouldn't have been fired or voluntarily declined to serve a fact fascist regime. Will soft-boiled egg-ass Democrats even try to purge any filthy fucking maggots from any department if they happen to buy some miracle regain power to do so? All caps.
Starting point is 02:31:30 No, they will not. Never have, and I see no reason why they will change their ways this time. Oh, this is assuming we don't end up with a full-fledged American fascist party coup. That's much more likely than the Democratic Party growing some Godzilla-sized balls. Oh, I wish I disagreed with you more than I do. I really do, Darrow. Dare to dream that the Democrats grow a pair. But I mean, realistically, and I know the trans community is just a teeny tiny itsy little minority.
Starting point is 02:32:02 It's easy to beat up on. And that there's no political price to be paid by Amy Acton or whoever that woman is in South Carolina. Or James Tala Rico or any of the other for shitting on trans people. But the fact of the matter is when you adopt right-wing talking points, even if you think it's a talking point that won't really matter, because the issue at hand isn't even in the top 20 issues that matter to voters right now, you're still being maga-light. And God, Christopher, anybody, do we remember back to the, I mean, you're talking about 1996,
Starting point is 02:32:48 So, you know, you've got a, you've got a long memory. Do you remember when we kept trying to take the House back and the Senate? Yeah. And states kept nominating Senate Democratic candidates who were Republican might. Yeah, and they've fucked Barack Zeyn Obama. Yeah. And, you know, and again, you know, there's never, there's never any gratitude for those of us out here in the progressive progressosphere who are like, nah, this isn't going to work.
Starting point is 02:33:28 And this feels, I mean, it's different, but it's similar. I remember when Kentucky Democrats got all worked up because by God, they were finally going to beat Mitch McConnell because they had nominated a military pilot and a woman. and she made all the right noises with her mouth. And... Graff? Yes, yes, Amy McGrath. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:34:05 And, uh, good call. And then one day she was at... And then one day she was at an event, and she said, Well, I just have to agree, Cole keeps the lights on. And, well, then it became obvious. that she wasn't worth supporting because she was Republican light. And any hardcore Republicans, we're never going to vote for her anyway, but the independents, well, if you want a Republican, vote for a goddamn Republican,
Starting point is 02:34:42 not Republican light. So here we said. And so here we are. Also, don't forget. I'm sure you covered it, Rob, but I'm fine missed it in my various outages, but about a month ago, what Gavin Newscom did, in California, trans people. Oh, you mean veto?
Starting point is 02:35:05 That veto? Yeah, the veto to protect them from people suing them from out of state. That was scummy. No, that was, that wasn't, Jeremy, that wasn't just suing them. That was extraditing them to transphobic shitholes. And it wasn't just trans people. It was women's reproductive health care providers. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:35:26 Oh, Jesus. Okay. He's on himself in. I don't think he's inviolible anymore. He's done. I will say this. I will not vote for him in the primary, under any circumstances. No.
Starting point is 02:35:38 I will do, I will crawl over broken glass to vote for him in the general. If he's our, if he is the nominee, I will fight for him. I will crawl over broken glass. Because he's still better than any Republican. I mean, true. But you will forgive me if I have to hold my nose doing it. Well, sure. Absolutely.
Starting point is 02:36:01 and and and and and and and and and and god damn it i know there's a lot of people out there didn't like hillary didn't like comela god damn it they needed to go to the polls anyway crawl over the broken glass hold your nose do whatever you got to do yeah do whatever he got to do yeah and he's shed on palisinians yeah he shed on the gossens yes go anyway because what happened to the gossans was worse under Donnie. Yeah, it was just hard to explain that to the folks in Dearborn and Hamtramck, I guess. I still get so furious. Duh.
Starting point is 02:36:45 So furious. Well, yeah, and if you're in Gaza, you're like, what were you thinking? Thanks for doing us that big favor standing up for us by staying home. Yeah, it's a real daffy duck moment. Thanks for the sour perfimins, brother. There's seven million. But, you know, in the very first episode of his podcast, Gavin Newsom sat down with Charlie Kirk, of all people, and agreed with Charlie Kirk that it was fundamentally unfair for trans girls to play girls sports. Which, you know, when you hear something like that, you realize that somebody like Newsom really doesn't.
Starting point is 02:37:35 doesn't know anything about trans people, transmedicine, transition, you know, and I don't know, maybe it's reached its high watermark. Now, and again, I'm proud of Sherrod Brown. Yeah, he's got an A-PAC problem. Big one. But at least, at least in this moment, he looked at sorin Al-Dakco and said, she is a liar. She never had surgery as a minor. There's a stack of consent forms that'll stack to the ceiling. She didn't have anything done in Ohio because she's from Texas. And maybe that'll be enough to end her party. But the problem is the independent women's forum,
Starting point is 02:38:37 because it's neither independent nor women nor forum. It's just another tax-exempt grift with a bunch of billionaire money behind it. But like I said, playing that clip earlier, Jared Brown did it perfectly. She's a liar. I've always liked him. She's a liar. She never had surgery as a child.
Starting point is 02:39:02 But let's talk about what matters. So this independent form group, are they a lot like, what's it the third way? Oh, no, these are, these are hardcore right-wing maggots. That's why I said there's nothing independent about them. Oh, they're independent. Yeah. Okay. You remember, you remember, you remember.
Starting point is 02:39:24 Riley Gaines, the fifth place swimmer. Yes, yes. She's got a six-figure lifestyle, thanks to the independent women's form. Oh. So does Chloe Cole, who claims to be a detransitioner, but there's no evidence she ever transitioned. And now you've got Soren Al-Daco. She doesn't want to see on the YouTube commercial?
Starting point is 02:39:48 Yes. She's glasses? Yes. Kind of a... She's absolute trash. She's a bigger woman, maybe. Yeah, she is. Okay, that's her?
Starting point is 02:39:56 Yeah. On the commercial? Yes. Oh. Yeah, she stinks like bullshit. Jared Brown cut my boobies off. Fucking Christ. I saw that commercial.
Starting point is 02:40:12 You know, the trans people in sports realize them the same trope that trans women can trans women to go in the bathroom and assault, real feet and, you know, natural females. It's the same idea. They've been sucking this trope that trans girls transition to play sports because they couldn't win as males. That's what this comes from.
Starting point is 02:40:31 They're convinced of it. Well, it comes from a need. Actually, Jeremy, I'm going to beg to differ with you just a teeny tiny bit. It's not, the reason they're doing this is because they lost on Obergefell because it turned out that the gay community had a lot of money to fight back with. and then to their horror and amazement, they won on Roe. Because for years on this program, I used to say the one thing that the anti-abortion industry doesn't want is for abortion to be made illegal. But they got their Supreme Court justices, they got Roe overturned, and then they had to talk.
Starting point is 02:41:31 turn desperately to look at one another and say, shit! Okay, who are we going to beat on now? Oh, look, they're less than 1% of the population. We can flog the shit out of them, and we can make up any lie we want to. And they can't fight back. And they're going to have the lily-liver folks
Starting point is 02:41:57 that aren't going to stand up for them, in the Democratic Party, which is shameful. And we just heard from Matt and Zamboanga. That just rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it? Gavin, he knows. I love me some Gavin, but he will occasionally make a decision calculated on polling politically what he can pick up in votes and what he can afford to lose. I wish he didn't do that, but he does know what it takes to win. He's got some bad advisors.
Starting point is 02:42:32 Yeah, well, he's not the only one with the bad advisors, Matt. These third-way chumps are running around saying, just try to sound a little more Republican. You might win. And see, these terrible political advisors get paid win or lose and keep getting invited on network news panel programs. And they're listed as Democratic Consultant or Democratic Advisor. And you want to go,
Starting point is 02:43:08 How come you're on TV and not out there busting your ass for somebody? Yeah, right? Yeah. I've got stuff on some envelopes or knocking on doors or some babies maybe. I don't know. And, of course, in the extradition veto, he said, well, I might agree. I agree, but I don't want to tie the hands of any governor in the future. Well, I'd want to tie, you know, there's no guarantee.
Starting point is 02:43:38 that California won't wind up with some right-wing piece of shit in the future as governor. Oh, God. Yeah, I know. And so I'd be all for tying that future motherfucker's hands. But I just got a note from Mike in Cascadia. I love notes like this. Hi, Rocks. Hi, Mike. lots of connections for me in your conversation with chris i went to school in portland in the
Starting point is 02:44:12 1980s and we have fairly regularly driven down there for university of portland soccer matches portland thorns soccer matches and visiting my aunt and uncle in tigardt tigerd tigerd tigerd tigerd okay that's where michelle is oh okay has chris been to the lebanese restaurant near the blazers arena we've always enjoyed the peruvian restaurant and dinas in the pearl district yeah i think so yes uh what is the name it is escaping me now again having another moment sorry yes i uh nicholas nicholas i think it is yes i've been to both locations they're brothers one brother owns one restaurant one another brother owns another restaurant Yes, excellent.
Starting point is 02:45:04 And the Peruvian place, Roger and Patricia and myself and Michelle went there. And that place is fabulous. And oddly enough, we have a Peruvian place here now, and Anticucho is on the menu. If I've ever got the money, I'll go and try it. I really want to. I love Beefheart. but we did have that it was really good
Starting point is 02:45:34 and Mike says it's cool that you live so close to a great slice of federal public land the new river gorge and you guys hit on the Grand Canyon I was lucky to have rafted down the Grand Canyon back in 2013 and I was just in Sedona last winter great place if you like Sedona check out Zion National Park Zion has Sedona grandeur on steroids
Starting point is 02:45:55 yeah I want to go there Before this administration turns into a goddamn mind pit. All during my childhood, my dad who had been, had gotten his Navy discharge in Bremerton, Washington. He loaded up, he bought a 1938 Buick and drove across country with his mates dropping them off in their various... Oh, what a trip this must have been. Ultimately, he said, all during my childhood,
Starting point is 02:46:36 one of these days I'm going to take our vacation, and we're going to go out west. And all I wanted to go, they went to Pocatella, Idaho, where he dropped off one shipmate. And then they went due south to Busby, Arizona, where he dropped off another shipmate. I think I've been through there.
Starting point is 02:46:55 My sister graduated from Busby, Douglas In Flagstaff. They dropped off one shipmate right at the Mexican border. Dropped another in Kansas City. At some point in time, my dad saw Gypsy Rose Lee in Chicago, and then they made it home to West Virginia.
Starting point is 02:47:32 and his buddy Doc, who he and his shipmates had saved from making a horrible mistake because Doc had a wife waiting eagerly for him at home. They remained fast friends even after Doc passed away. But my dad just kept talking about, I want to go west, I want to go out west. I want to take you out west. I want you to see what I have seen. And it's one of the things we never did, but, and I'm pretty sure Tom and so.
Starting point is 02:48:02 Sunny San Rafael's listening. My one trip to San Francisco, I went to that sailor's memorial that looks out at the Golden Gate. Then I cried because it's a sailor with his sea bag. And in many ways, that was my dad once upon a time. Is that at the Presidio? No.
Starting point is 02:48:28 Oh, the one that's more down underneath where the fort is, right? Maybe. Maybe. Hi, Rick. Rick's here. And just, but to finish off Mike's note, yesterday I heard Norm Ornstein say this on one of David Rothkoff's podcasts. Listen, I completely understand why people are having such a hard time deciding who to vote for in the midterms.
Starting point is 02:48:57 On one hand, you have Democrats who have disappointed you. And on the other, you have child raping murderers running constant. concentration camps with our tax dollars straining the U.S. Treasury directly into their offshore bank accounts while making the planet uninhabitable for human life. That's tough call, man, real Sophie's choice. Oh my Jesus. Perfect. Perfect. The Dems ain't perfect by a long shot, but there are only hope. We can push the... And this is an argument I keep making.
Starting point is 02:49:25 We can push the Dems to do what we want. Look what Biden did, only to be fucked by Kirsten Manchin. You're so right, Mike. You're so absolutely right. Anyway, great show, says Mike. What did FDR say? Yeah. Ruffan.
Starting point is 02:49:42 You told me what you want. Now make me do it. And that's politics in a nutshell. Rick's here. Rick. Billable. I think that's Rick. It sure looks like you.
Starting point is 02:50:00 Yeah, that's billable. Another dog. No, that's billable in the photo. Yeah. I don't know what that doggy's name. That's not Bella. Sorry about the Hawks this past Saturday. She said, deliberately using the term hawks.
Starting point is 02:50:24 Oh, the Hawkeyes. Yeah. Yeah, his Hawkeyes, right. They play tonight. They play Washington. Who? They're on like now, I think. I would think they'll be able to manage.
Starting point is 02:50:38 Yeah, that was a beating. I would think they'd be able to manage the Husky. I don't know what to expect as Arizona comes calling to Mountaineer Field tomorrow. I was talking to my son-in-law. My son-in-law is a proud son of Harvard on the Mon, and a diehard cut him. He bleeds old golden blue. And he asked me, what do you, how about what we say around?
Starting point is 02:51:09 How about them ears? and most of the time when a mountaineers fan says how about them ears he's usually being a bit sardonic and I just I just looked at him and said well looks to me like we spent all our money on running backs and quarterbacks and didn't bother to go out and buy ourselves a defense because that yeah they've all been high-scoring games oh that Oklahoma State game was an embarrassment
Starting point is 02:51:36 and then of course we did you know stupid things. And what Bear Bryant say? No, you can't, you can't leave the ball on the field and expect to win football games. Well, there we were. So we get Arizona tomorrow. But at least at this point. RIP to Rick's Cubs, too, by the way.
Starting point is 02:52:07 Yeah. Oh, hey! And my beloved Braves bowed out in the first round, just like I expected them to. Yeah. They went up against Goliath. Well, they did. I mean, it was the Dodgers. The Dodgers are going to get a three-peat.
Starting point is 02:52:26 I don't see anybody stopping them. I wouldn't bet against him. And Otani, they're doing all this with Otani hitting 200. Yeah. I mean, they're a... They're a machine. This will be the first three-peat. Do you know the last one?
Starting point is 02:52:52 Who? Yankees. 98, 99, 2000. And then they were trying to go for four, and we all know what happened. We had to suffer through fucking Rudy's face every five seconds after 9-11 during the World Series. Remember that? Oh, God, yes. I could have done without the reminder.
Starting point is 02:53:16 Guiliati, America's ghoul. Yes. It would see him every five fucking seconds, you know? that whole world treats, but they lost. And it was justice. Okay, Steve, who do your bucks get tomorrow? They haven't. They haven't nobody tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:53:37 Oh, they're playing Open, open, date university? Yes, that's who it is. Yeah, okay. Hi, Steve. Hey, how are you? I'm good. I was surprised that Ohio State did as well as they did against Iowa. I thought Iowa had a chance.
Starting point is 02:53:57 I did, too, but it seemed like that game really was not as close as even the score said. Because Iowa scored with like two minutes to go. Their only touchdown. It's close at halftime. It was close at halftime, wasn't it? And then Ohio State just broke it all open. I think that's what happened. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:54:20 Is Georgia still number two? Yes. Why? They play tomorrow. I mean, I don't, I don't like them. But God, why? They're a juggernaut. Because of Arch Manning.
Starting point is 02:54:37 Because the people in charge want an Arch Manning. Well, that's Texas. Texas is number one. Yeah. Yeah. But, I mean, I don't think, I don't think Texas has performed anywhere near as well. as Georgia has. I don't think so either.
Starting point is 02:54:58 I mean, I can say Ohio State, they only be at Ohio State by one point. Yeah, I just... No, but I mean, all the love in my heart for you, Steve, but I think it would be a different story if Ohio State teed up against Georgia. Georgia doesn't give a shit. They'll beat anybody by 50 points.
Starting point is 02:55:23 Yeah, no, I agree with you. I agree with you. Although until there is interleague play, I think it's hard to say who really is good and who really is not. That's a good point, Steve. Here's your thing. So Indiana won the championship last year. They are still undefeated, correct? Yes.
Starting point is 02:55:50 They're number seven. I didn't see they were number seven. Is that correct? That can't be right. State champion number seven. That put them behind Ohio State and that can't happen. That can't happen. Now that correction will happen when they play each other, which is coming up, right?
Starting point is 02:56:09 It might be next week. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it might be next week. So then, so it won't matter. It won't damn what they're ranked now. Well, first they got to beat Nebraska and Nebraska tomorrow. But then when that Ohio State, if they beat Ohio State, then obviously they're going to shoot way up probably back to number one. It should be. Well, who?
Starting point is 02:56:37 Indiana, if they beat Ohio State? I don't know that I would, I don't think, I don't think that's the case. I think Georgia would probably be number one. Alabama, Alabama would probably be ahead of, well, it depends. If Alabama wins tomorrow, shit i don't know i mean i don't know what the hell the one of the best team i've seen so far is by far miami they've killed everybody and that guy's got to be the heisman frontrunner has to be no the heisman frontrunner is ohio state's wide receiver
Starting point is 02:57:15 i'm gonna disagree with you there's good yeah that's true he has been really good hi rick hey how you doing there's bill what's the name of your puppy either. My new firm? No, you're putting the doggy in your avatar. Oh, is that, let's see here. I can't even see, let me open up my phone here. I can't even hear for some reason.
Starting point is 02:57:43 The volume's way down, let's see. That is my son's dog probably. Looks like a boxer? Yeah. Oh, no, that was not. That was my nephew's dog. It's a great dane. Oh, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 02:58:03 Yeah. What's the name? Do you know? Yeah, it's a great dog. What's his name? You forgot the name? He's got like three great danes. He rotates them in and out of the house.
Starting point is 02:58:16 He only lets one end at a time because they're like, you know, how big, you know, they take up a lot of space. See that. they're girls i think i think they're all girls be like having a herd of horses in your house yeah i can i i can see why my brother only allows one in at a time but um yeah how's everybody doing
Starting point is 02:58:38 uh it's good to hear from you rick yeah how is everything yeah it uh i uh a lot of changes i i i moved on september 10 I interviewed for a job on September 2nd. And then later that day, I got a pay cut one day notice for my old job. They were going to cut my pay 10%. And then I got an offer from the job I'd interviewed with a few days later. And then I just kind of slacked it with the old job, you know, because I figured, well, I want to make sure I take all my sick days.
Starting point is 02:59:18 I have two more sick days left, and then I'm going to, you know, ask for vacation, and then I'll get back from vacation and ask, you know, for give them the resignation, basically, you know. And I didn't even get to do that. The guy was a real motherfucker, so on September 10th I moved residences, so I took off my sick days were the 9th and 10th to clean up the house and so forth in the apartment. and move all my stuff. And then the guy didn't even have the decency to terminate me. He had the secretary do it and handed me a severance package.
Starting point is 03:00:00 I didn't sign it right away, but it actually ended up benefiting me because I was going to just leave and not get severance, you know? Oh, good for you. So I'm with a new firm. I'm making like I'm not on salary. I'm not on hourly anymore like I was at this other job. And they had all these rules. I couldn't, you know, you couldn't use the phone.
Starting point is 03:00:20 You had to step outside to use the personal phone. You couldn't bring your laptop in the office. You weren't supposed to use the computer work for any, you know, even read articles or anything. Couldn't do anything. It was like, you know, a list of what you can't do as opposed to what you can do. They had camera, they had audio and visual cameras throughout the common areas of the office. He was like a Nazi, you know. and he's a you know basically you know i was told i walked in on september 11th i was gonna
Starting point is 03:00:52 you know get all get get my my bar compliance all taken care of for continuing legal education and do that and i the secretary told me to come in and said hey you know you're you've been terminated um he didn't even have the guts to show his face and um i just um you know had to grab my stuff she was i was she was minding me the whole time you know, watching, watching me. And I was told I couldn't talk to any of the employees or say hi to them. It's like ridiculous, you know? And I basically told her, hey, you tell Joe that he's a fucking pussy.
Starting point is 03:01:27 I want really, seriously, you know, because he's the kind of guy who always had other people do his dirty work, you know? Like the pay cut he tried to push on me. You know, he had his secretary or the office manager do it, you know? So anyway, I got a new job and it's great. They love me. I'm senior counsel. I'm making almost 100 grand more than I was at the other place. These guys are bringing me in on their major cases, criminal cases.
Starting point is 03:01:54 I just filed a complaint in the claims court today for the employee retention credit. That was like a program during the coronavirus days to keep the business of the float by keeping their employees on payroll. They got a big tax credit for doing so. And yeah, so it's like all's good, moved residences. So everything's like crazy. It's like, you know, my life is a nasty, but it's crazy, but it's crazy good, right, Bill? It is crazy good, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 03:02:32 So, you know, I ended up, you know, I had like 18 days between jobs. They paid me a full month of severance. They paid me for the entire month of, I guess, for September, you know, the rest of the month of September. So it's like I made out pretty good. Well, and now you get to watch the message boards for the collapse of that firm. For the collapse of what? That firm.
Starting point is 03:03:02 Of the old firm. Joe. Oh, yeah, yeah, exactly. There you go. Yeah. Yeah, they're down to like two and a half attorneys, you know. Yeah, hate that. And I found out from.
Starting point is 03:03:14 Go ahead. I found out from one of the partners that this asshole, Joe will call him. It's his name, Wilson. Yeah, I can say, Joe Wilson, Wilson, Tax Law. Joe, you lie, Wilson? Really? I was just going to say. Yeah, Joe Wilson, yeah.
Starting point is 03:03:30 Yeah, so anyway, what he did, I didn't even know this. But one of the partners said that, hey, you know, when I was interviewing for a place here at the Taylor firm, the main partner's named Lovar Taylor. He's an older guy. and he just gave me a ticket to his, he had a choral like at the local performing arts center here, December 7th. So I said, yeah, I'd love to go. So gave me a couple of tickets.
Starting point is 03:03:57 But anyway, he's interviewing, Jonathan is his name, one of the partners, the managing partner. He said, yeah, I interviewed, you know, I was interviewing with my old firm. I was interviewing with LeVar. And somehow he didn't even know who Joe Wilson was. Joe kind of, they kind of knew each other, but they didn't know each other personally.
Starting point is 03:04:15 And Joe, like, unsolicited, contacted Jonathan's current employer to let him know that Jonathan was looking for work. Nice. Yeah, it was fucked up. Yeah, it was fucked up. So he got back to work the next day, and the employer asked, oh, is, oh, shit,
Starting point is 03:04:36 there's flooding in Balboa Peninsula. city, Newport's advising motorists and residents to avoid Balboa Peninsula due to street flooding caused by recent storm conditions, the elevated tides. But anyway, going back to that story quickly, yeah, so his boss said, oh, what's going on? You're looking for work? And then he was kind of in a pickle, and then he talked to LaVar again, and LaVar said, hey, I feel like I got to hire you after that. So it's like, you know, so, you know, he's just a motherfucker this guy.
Starting point is 03:05:08 you know, he's a pussy. Imagine that. Imagine that in the legal community. I better know how he votes. Yeah, yeah, of course he does. Oh, yeah, he's got like a $5 million house and looks like a museum. He's got like these, you know, Corinthian colonnades and shit like that in his living room. And it's like, you know.
Starting point is 03:05:29 All his sofas. And all of his sofas are in rich, fine Corinthian leather. You got it. Did they give you any reason for your 10% sudden pay cut and then firing without notice? Well, hey, hold on, hold on, guys, guys, hold on. Because I got to go. Oh, the golden one. How many in you?
Starting point is 03:05:52 Oh, he clocked me out about 10 minutes ago. And I heard it. He's, God, I love him. Yeah, they're great. But it's good to see. The back porch crew is, because, beginning to filter in. That will continue after I go off the air. So thanks everybody. Thanks for the forbearance for me to have a couple of days with family. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 03:06:21 Oh, shit. Brother Deaconesa, I'm going to need your audio file. Give me two days away from work and I forget how everything works. I apparently didn't hit the record button. Oh, no. One moment, I tell you. Well, yeah. Something about that hair, or Roxanne. I actually got a haircut because I'm playing the white collar conservative now, but it looks pretty good.
Starting point is 03:06:53 Oh, I'm sure it does. And by the way, you're going to go to that, you're going to go to that corral in December. You might want to check to see if there are any like septuagenarian or octogenarian singers on the bill so we'll know who to be who's obituary to be watching for well my my boss lavare is a septagenarian but as long as he doesn't sing
Starting point is 03:07:18 don't let him sing because he is singing he's in the corral he has to oh fuck you can't go you have to explain to your boss you know I'm really happy to be here but I have this I have this Mickle Eldridge power
Starting point is 03:07:34 and I already killed I explained to him I already killed Tom Petty. Well, I know, but that was like the statute of limitations that run on that. Well, yeah, it ran on that, it ran on that, but you don't have any control over how your powers are used. But anyway, I got to get out of here. And just in case, let me finish with this. Roxanne, before you go, okay.
Starting point is 03:07:58 I have a confession to make. And I was thinking about this, and I was thinking about Rick's powers and everything. You know, I got two. I got two. I might have done in. Chris Cornell, I saw one of his last shows. Oh.
Starting point is 03:08:14 Like, yeah. I mean, I don't know if it was the last show in Chicago, but it was close. He died like a couple weeks after that show. Also, Stone Temple Pilots guy. What's his name, the lead singer that died? Hawkins. I saw his last show in Chicago.
Starting point is 03:08:35 Oh. music theater. Scott Wyland. They have the power. Don't go to any more shows. You know, I, you know, I thought that Grim Reaper is getting better aim, you know, getting some 80-year-olds who deserve it recently, but hey, you know, you know, like who, Jim Baker? Jim Baker's good, yeah.
Starting point is 03:08:57 Jim Baker was good. He's trying to get his sickle. He's got a half a sickle now. Well, Denny, yeah. It's a popsicle. You've got a pedophile Republican in Denny Hastert. Yeah, Benny. You've got a sex pest and a financial fraud in Jim Baker.
Starting point is 03:09:20 I mean, that would be a perfect trifecta. Come on. Yeah. The aim is true. Come on. Yeah, fire up the Elvis Costello. But I've got to get out of here. And hopefully, hopefully.
Starting point is 03:09:35 Hopefully Brother Deacon, ASA has the recording because, well, damn it. I hate to admit my own incompetence on air, but here we are.
