Starting point is 00:00:00 I live stream now, so I'm on like Twitch and a kick, and I'm 500 years older than everybody else. And it's just, it's been a learning curve. Yeah, it's, they're fun, but they're crazy. And it's like, I don't under. No, no, I don't do anything like that. But yeah, that's like what clavicular does and Nico kind of does that, which is not, not my thing.
Starting point is 00:00:49 So it was, it was. We had a really different experience than I think a lot of the talent because I was never in Dallas. And they tried to get us several times to move to Dallas, but it was always like, I'd have to live in Dallas. I'd have to probably work more because you want me to do other shows and you're not going to pay me more. I was like, I'm not going to do that. So we were always kind of like at arm's length. So I feel like we had an easier time. But it was, they're okay.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Well, I just, I don't know who's on their platform at the moment. Because I think Ali is leaving them. Allie Stucky. Well, I think she is now, or she's leaving, because she used to be on the blaze, but yeah, she's leaving for Daily Wire. Elijah Schaefer was at the blaze, and he was one of their bigger ones,
Starting point is 00:01:38 and he also left. I feel like. I think Glenn, no, no, John Doyle is there. Yeah. They're only young one, as far as I know. So how long have you been working with the hot quins? Do you just do production stuff or do you do other stuff?
Starting point is 00:02:33 Man, that's a never-ending workload. It's so much now to keep up with like all the short-form stuff. Yeah. Good for you though. I mean, that's how I feel about the, like, honestly, the Daily Wire and the Blaze. It's like you don't need that many people to run a podcast. Yeah. It's a cool studio, though.
Starting point is 00:03:12 You look like Dorothy. We're going to We're going to We're going to, I assume, talk about my FBI investigation So I guess Yeah, that was crazy, right? A little not so incident But yeah, that was insane.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Oh, no, we opened in time. They were about to kick, They were about to kick the door down, but they literally had the barrier, No, what do you call it? The battering range. Yeah, because it was, they came at 7 a.m. And we were not awake yet,
Starting point is 00:03:44 And so we didn't get to the door, like, fast enough. So they were, yeah, four months pregnant. Get the eye? Oh. Really? In bed with Poozy. That was a fun time. We've got to take this girl down.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Is it, should I put this somewhere else? Is it like a branding issue? Okay. I know Brit plays would always be like, no, if, like, if there's a logo on, like, we're, they got to pay for it. Okay. They used to have Stephen Crowder, too. Who has just left there?
Starting point is 00:04:25 I don't know. I think Jason Whitlock is the only person I can think of. Oh, I love Jason. He's in Nashville, too. He's great. He's still there, right? Yeah, I think so. He helped me write a reference letter
Starting point is 00:04:36 for my visa application, so I love him. Oh, yeah? Yeah. What's that one guy to cut himself with the blade on a shoe? Oh, Alex Stein. Yeah, he left Blades, too, right? Yeah. They got quite a bit of turnover.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Yeah. wouldn't like you be cool. I tried to get a mind. I can't come to babies. There's too much sin there. Is that what he told you? I love Jason. He's hilarious.
Starting point is 00:05:03 So he knows if he comes out here, he's going to be out here sending him like that. Yeah. He can't control himself. That's what he means. Oh, my God. Black man in Vegas. He's just another black man. You mean I just going to buy me a white woman for one?
Starting point is 00:05:20 All right. So, okay. Okay. Do I need these on? Just going to make a clip. Okay, cool. So this is Chinese, huh? Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Thank you, Joe. Well, I'm half Chinese. You got some white in you, right? I do. My mom is white. Yeah, I'm like, wait a minute, you ain't Chinese. Yeah. I'm the superior Asian dad, white mom mix.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah, that's a good mix, Chinese and Asian. You can't go wrong with that mix. Chinese and Asian. Chinese and white. I mean Chinese and American, yeah. Chinese and white. So I had a bad moment. Are you recording?
Starting point is 00:05:57 Oh, this is great. Make me like a total idiot. That's okay. I don't need to keep it in. Hey, you're going to put your headphones on? Yeah, you get your drink on. I'll put it down. We'll hint appreciate if I'm saying
Starting point is 00:06:22 racially inflammatory things in there on. That's impossible with us. Totally impossible. Now you're going to put your water on. I think it just looks stupid. Yeah. You didn't hear your dad in your head in your head. Basically, I was like, wow, I really am slouching.
Starting point is 00:06:46 You're right, that is unattractive. Yeah, we got a damn good show for y'all. We got Lauren Chin in the house. Yeah. Thank you for having me. Hey, get a little outfit, man. She's like Dorothy. From the Wizard of Oz.
Starting point is 00:07:00 How old are you? I'm 32. I shouldn't even ask a woman how old she? I know. You look so young. Oh, thank you. I feel like now that I'm in my 30s, I can actually appreciate being told that
Starting point is 00:07:10 versus when I'm in my 20s and being told I look 15. You still look 15. Well, let's hope that stays the case for like another 10 years, 10, 15 years. That'd be great. Damn. All right, so used to be at the Blaze, right? Yes. How did you get linked up with them?
Starting point is 00:07:28 Oh, I have a long history with the Blaze. I started my first ever contract when I'm with a bigger company, not just being an independent YouTuber was with CRTV. I don't know if you guys know way back in the day. Oh, yeah, I remember them, CRTV. They started off, yeah, yeah, yeah. So Crowder used to be CRTV. TV as well. So then there was a merger that happened between CRTV and the Blaze. And so
Starting point is 00:07:49 they became one and a bunch of the talent like me like Crowder, we just kind of we carried over. And so that's how we got linked up with the Blaze. And then we had, yeah, pretty, pretty long contract with them. We're independent for a little bit more and then back with the Blaze and then not so much anymore now. Right, right. Yeah. What happened? You know, a slight FBI investigation. It happens. And, yeah, it was fired immediately from basically every contract that I had.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Okay, let's go into the FBI investigation. Why were they investigating you? You don't look like you could harm a fly. Right. Right, right. Come on, Mr. FBI, men. You think I could be trying to subvert a presidential election? Right.
Starting point is 00:08:32 But, yeah, it was basically, I was, so we were, we had a company tenant that was licensing content from conservative people. So to be clear, we had contracts with people like Benny Johnson, Lauren Southern, and Tim Poole where they produced a show with their own staff, and then we put it on our platform. So we weren't
Starting point is 00:08:52 involved really in the production. We didn't have editorial control. We were just licensing their stuff. But the FBI did an investigation. I think I probably went on their radar with the whole Arctic Frost thing, because I was also
Starting point is 00:09:08 affiliated with TPUSA. And there were two people who were working in conjunction with our company that were Russian. And now these people were not in terms of, oh, indeed. These people were not doing anything in terms of like telling Tim Poole who to book, anything like that. It was mostly like they were doing social media clips and throwing it on. And anyway, these two individuals, they ended up being indicted by the FBI. And it started a whole investigation into our company.
Starting point is 00:09:36 and we were raided by the FBI. Like 30 agents armed showed up at our door at 7 a.m. in the morning. Almost broke it down. We weren't apparently fast enough to get down and answer them because we were sleeping because it was 7 a.m. But. David Caritch's ass, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:55 They raided us, searched our house, took everything, took a lot of electronics, and froze our bank accounts. But they had already been, you know, listening to us electronically for like a really long time. So there wasn't anything new for them to find, but they definitely raided us. And Merrick Garland then gave a press release where he accused us of trying to interfere in the presidential election. So dissent amongst Americans. And it was not good.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Basically, we're called traders foreign assets, the whole nine yards. And like that literally that same day, I got a call from the Blaze. And it's like, yeah, so this isn't going to work. I mean, I understood it because that's a bad look. It doesn't matter what's true at that point. What matters is what people are saying. Yeah, but you're innocent until proven guilty, and they did have fired you. Yes, they fired me immediately.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Like, literally that same day. Like, I could not have been more fired more quickly. Wow, the blaze. No loyalty. I mean, it is what it is. And I had a call. I had a pretty good relationship with Gaston, who was kind of like one of the co-presidents. and I had, like, he called, and I'd actually already had a call planned with him for that day,
Starting point is 00:11:08 because I was going to tell him that I was pregnant, because I was, like, four months pregnant at the time, that all of this happened. And it ended up being, you're fired because the government is saying that you're a Russian spy call instead, which was not the plan, but, yeah. What kind of content was it that was being posted? By me, or so one of the complicated things about this case is that we, We had our company Tenet Media that was licensing content from other creators
Starting point is 00:11:36 but then I'm also independently a content creator as well but my own content was not affiliated with the Tenant investigation or anything I mean it was for the Blaze so like the Blaze it was just like regular blaze content was more pop culture oriented than most of their shows but
Starting point is 00:11:53 yeah I mean Tim Poole had a like a debate show was called The Culture War which existed before Tenet we just licensed it so we didn't even create the show It was just like, all right, we're going to pay for the rights for this show to be ours. Benny Johnson had kind of like an indie arena, so it was just kind of like a political talk show. Right. And Lauren Southern, she had kind of like YouTube commentary videos. She did some mini-docks for us as well.
Starting point is 00:12:19 And, you know, Matt Christensen, regular YouTube commentary videos. We had Taylor Hansen, who was on the ground reporter journalists. Pretty standard conservative stuff. So why they just knock down your? door and like why did they go like beat the shit out of Benny Johnson Tim Pool and rip that damn beanie off his head so everybody can see his head. They thought that no I don't think they actually thought the reason why they did that is because honestly if I'm if I'm being upfront it's because I think it's because I'm
Starting point is 00:12:48 Canadian and I'm Chinese if I like why more so than anyone else I was basically alleged to being a foreign asset it's because I wasn't born here I think that that's a good headline and you don't have the same protections as if you know if you're foreign than if you're American. That sounds kind of xenophobic. Right much so. White supremacy strikes again. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:08 But yeah, we never ended up getting charged with anything to be clear. So it's not like it's not like we were charged and then oh, they were dropped or we were acquitted. So you broke no laws and the blaze steel fire. Well, if we broke any laws, they haven't been able to prove it.
Starting point is 00:13:21 So yeah, innocent, right? And it's again, I was never charged with anything. The two individuals that were Russian, what was they accused of? Farah. So being a foreign agent. Oh, okay. Yeah. But the thing is... They wasn't registered or... Well, they're not in
Starting point is 00:13:37 America. And I'm, you basically, you need to be in America to register for Farah, but also they weren't in charge of any editorial. Usually when you're slammed with Farah, there are politicians who have been actually convicted of Farah. It's because like they're
Starting point is 00:13:53 secretly lobbying, they're receiving money from a foreign government and they're using their political power to like vote in certain ways and things like that. There was What Israel does? I can't comment on that. I don't want to get in trouble again. Well, they can do it because they are allies.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Well, I mean, I will just say, I will just say what I'm being accused of, they're actually like conservative companies who are openly, Salem Media, one of the guys who runs it, he's a foreign, he's registered as a foreign agent for Israel. And so that's actually a thing. That really happens. No one is seemingly concerned about that, though. Salem Media. Who works with Salem Media, that I may know?
Starting point is 00:14:30 Brandon Tatum. He's what say, Lipp. Is he? I know, they're big. You definitely, I can't remember
Starting point is 00:14:35 individuals, but you've definitely heard of them. They're one of the bigger ones. Larry Elder used to be with them. Hmm. Yeah. They love Israel too,
Starting point is 00:14:43 huh? But see, I, I follow Brandon Tatum for a while, his work. I think he just loves Israel. And that's,
Starting point is 00:14:49 that's fine. But I just, you know, they don't get the types of accusations, the, you know, FBI breaking their doors down, like we did.
Starting point is 00:14:57 And they were not able to prove any type of editorial control at all. Russia. Russia's an enemy in Israel. They are our biggest allies. They do so much for us. Where would America be without Israel? Yeah, it's a double standard, but yeah. So, I mean, that threw your
Starting point is 00:15:18 life upside down. Yeah. Oh, 100%. So they I mean, they financially, everything. They froze our, they took all of our money. They still haven't given it back. I mean, we had money invested into our company that we had brought over from Canada. So it was our savings that had nothing to do with tenant. It was just everything we had been earning for the past like seven, eight years. We put it into our company. And, you know, they're obviously there are bank statements where you can see where it came from. We transferred money from Canada. We also
Starting point is 00:15:46 had money from our Blaze contract, our TPA USA contract going into the company as well. We were trying to build something and they just seized all of it. No, they haven't returned it. And yeah, all of our money. So it was a low point, honestly. The FBI leaves. Merrick Garland gives a press statement about us and we need to find a lawyer
Starting point is 00:17:09 and we have absolutely no money. No money to do anything. And the Trump administration hasn't tried to weigh in on this or anything. I'm sorry. Should I just like start? So I've had people say, oh, well, you're so lucky that Trump won
Starting point is 00:17:25 because he was able to come in and smooth things over for you. It's like, I wish you were coming and smooth things over for me. I'm unironically saying, like, if anyone knows the Trump administration, hook me up because, yes, they still have my money, the Southern District of New York. So it's the same people, literally the same office who was giving him a bunch of trouble. They have not given me my money back and they haven't charged me with anything, but they just are not giving the money back. Do you give you a timeline or anything? No, they're they don't, we've asked for it back and they're like, no.
Starting point is 00:17:57 What? Yeah, they're just like, yeah, no, that's not happening. And so my, lawyer and what's what's also annoying is there there is like what you call it civil asset forfeiture administrative forfeiture so it's technically not illegal for the government to just take your money so we're clear but usually if they do that they have to provide you with written notice that this is what's happening and you have 30 days to contest it we never got any type of notice anything like that so for the longest time we were just under the impression that our funds were frozen pending the investigation right and then once the investigation is over everything will be fine but then once the investigation was over like okay well can we have our electronics back they were like okay fine it had been like a year
Starting point is 00:18:35 and they broke a bunch of our stuff that's a different story but and then we're like all right how about the money and they're like no no it's not gonna no sounds like they might be still digging though i don't think so yeah yeah because they gave us usually when they give you the electronics back that's okay they gave the electronics yeah so they did give us and like they broke some of our computers um you know they did this you don't yeah 100 percent my my husband's trying like this is like who does this Like were you trying to open it with your foot by kicking it? So that doesn't hurt as bad as the money being taken, but it was still kind of like, all right, you guys are just haters.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Yeah. What is your attorney say to do? So our attorney is very expensive but also very pragmatic. So he said, look, your option right now going by the books is to sue the government for your money back. But he said the problem is that that's expensive. So we're out. We've already spent six figures. borrowed from family on legal fees.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Just we're not even in charge with anything. We've never been to court. It's literally just, oh, there's an investigation. And to us, we need to lawyer up type of thing. Six figures already gone. He's like, all right. So they have your savings. Taking the government to court easily could cost you more than they have taken.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And there is absolutely no guarantee that you're going to get it back. So he basically said, I don't recommend you do that. And frankly, we couldn't even afford to do that if we wanted. too just because it's so expensive. So you say just walk away and just start over. Yeah, and that's what we're doing. I'm still trying to, you know, I'm DMing literally anyone who follows me who might be affiliated with the DOD.
Starting point is 00:20:12 You're like, hey, is there someone I can talk to about this? It kind of, it doesn't seem like a very fair system where the government comes in, doesn't charge you with anything. But, you know, you still have to lower your up because there's an investigation. So you've spent, they've taken your money. So you have to borrow money to pay for legal fees. And then if you actually want your money back, then you need. need to take the government to court, which is just...
Starting point is 00:20:34 Sounds like the current administration would be able to help you. They might be able to, and if there's anyone to get... I would love the help. This is what we're... We've been trying to fix for like a year and a half at this point. So it seems like to me all this was just... All this nonsense was based on over a technicality. The guys that wasn't registered or registered were far out, they technically didn't break
Starting point is 00:20:56 the law or commit a crime or anything. It's just their Russian agents. Well, they're... They are Russian, like ethnically or nationally. Right, right. But I don't think it's illegal to be a Russian person. You know. They're not in America.
Starting point is 00:21:11 I don't think they're, you know, I'm not going to speak on their behalf. But as a company, we never tried to exercise editorial control at all. And I think, you know, basically every single creator that we worked with has testified to that, to that fact that they had full control, whatever. one of the things that was in the indictment and so the DOJ released an indictment against those two people but they knew it was never going to go to court because they're not in America.
Starting point is 00:21:37 So basically the indictment was also another form of press release. They could say stuff and not worry about having to prove it in a court of law because it's not going to court. But one of the things that they used to, as proof that we were, you know, these Russian agents was, do you guys remember that Tucker Carlson clip where he went to Russia and went to a Russian grocery store? Right, right, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:57 So we had nothing to do to be clear with producing that or anything like that, but we did share it on social media, and that is in a federal indictment against us, or, you know, trying to make us look bad. So it sounds like to me this is politically motivated. Oh, 100%. Yeah, 100%. Total theater. This was the September before the election.
Starting point is 00:22:16 So this was two months before the election. The people behind this are trying to make it seem. And Merrick Garland actually, like, he gave a press statement to the effect, that these content creators are being paid to support Donald Trump. They're being paid to so dissent. So it's basically trying to make conservative independent media look bought and paid for. Like propaganda. Exactly, which is categorically untrue.
Starting point is 00:22:38 I really don't understand why the Trump administration wouldn't step in and try to resolve this. It doesn't make the less sense. I would like that. But I also know that if my story is bad, there's a lot of people who got screwed over even worse than I did. I never got charged with anything. I never went to jail. Right. There's not, like there's some people who can't say the same.
Starting point is 00:22:56 There's January Sixers who've been put through the ringer. They're a pro-life activist. I mean, the weaponization of the DOJ under the Biden administration, I don't think we fully understand just how bad. It was people like James O'Keefe, his offices got rated. He's a journalist. And they've kept his stuff for years and years. I don't even think he's gotten his electronics back.
Starting point is 00:23:19 So, I mean, I would love the Trump administration's help. And to be charitable to them, I think there are just a lot of people who are in a similar position, and we're all trying to get help. We're all trying to get justice. You know, Ed Martin, I've met with him, and he's a pardoned attorney. Now, thankfully, I don't need a pardon
Starting point is 00:23:36 because it wasn't convicted of anything, but he, I mean, there are people, like hundreds and hundreds of people who are trying to get help because of what the Biden administration did, weaponizing the DOJ against their political opponents, especially, like, leading up to the election to make the Trump administration,
Starting point is 00:23:52 or the Trump campaign, like, Bonn paid for, like disingenuous, whatever it may be. Oh, no. I would just think someone like you, somebody is, I would think the Trump administration you would be top on the list.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Well, that would be nice. Again, if there's anyone who knows a Trump administration, I would not say no to the help. But also, I always forget this. If people do want to know more about everything that happened, because it's a lot. And I don't mean a trauma dump in an interview. It's uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:24:20 But we do have a give send go, givesendgo.com slash Lauren Chen. If you wanted to help out with the legal fees, but also there's a whole, like a whole written explanation of all the crazy stuff that we were, like, you know, everything we went through was done extra judicially. Like, we've never gone to court, never been charged, but they were definitely going out of their way,
Starting point is 00:24:42 it seems to make things hell for us. It sounds like a huge lawsuit. Again, that takes money as well. That takes money. Yeah, that takes money as well. I mean, these slip and fall attorneys, they take everything on contingency. It's like, I don't know why they wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:24:55 I know there's probably a lot more fees when it comes to suing the government. The attorneys are expensive. Yeah. And unfortunately, so there's also, I've had people say, like, there are media outlets that have just basically slandered and defamed us. You can think about me and tenant, whatever you want, but just stating things that are objectively untrue. There are media publications that have reported that we had charges, we were indicted, that I was held in contempt of Canadian parliament. None of these things are true. But unfortunately, like, a lot of the people who are slandering us are poor.
Starting point is 00:25:23 So that's also, like, why? Why would we sue them? Sounds like you got the brunt of it. And Benny Johnson, Temple, they didn't suffer anything for them. I mean, the headlines against them were bad as well. They were called propagandists as well. They were called useful idiots, Russians, stooges, and stuff like that. And I still see in their comments, you know, people try to make it seem like they've done something wrong.
Starting point is 00:25:44 To be clear, like, they've absolutely done nothing wrong. And I don't want it to be the case that they suffer professionally. Hey, I'm suffering. You're going to suffer right here with me. We all go in back I will talk I will drag everyone down with me But no I don't like I don't want anyone else
Starting point is 00:26:02 To also go through this But I also don't want me to go through this I guess So you started a new channel Well I have a new show A new show Yeah I have a new show They deleted my YouTube channels
Starting point is 00:26:14 YouTube The Blaze or YouTube YouTube YouTube Yeah YouTube banned me They banned you Yes So I was on YouTube
Starting point is 00:26:23 for like eight years at least. You know, I was trying to find your old child. I could not find them. Yeah, it's gone. Yeah, yeah, over half a million followers. But they banned me. I think it was the case. And it wasn't right away, but I think it was the case.
Starting point is 00:26:37 They were probably getting journalists reaching out to them saying, like, so, you know, this person is still on your platform. Why do you love Russian propaganda? You know, like, why do you enjoy facilitating sewing decisions, you know, how journalists are? So I think in response to that, they banned me. And we were hoping once the investigation was closed that we would be restored. But I mean, I can't even get a hold of anybody at YouTube, honestly.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Yeah, yeah. You might be able to get your channel back since there's no charges. I mean, but there were never any charges, though. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, maybe now that it's closed, I was hopeful once I found out that everything was closed. And, you know, I was hopeful that we could move forward and it would be reinstated. But so far. I haven't gave you a response, though.
Starting point is 00:27:22 No, I mean, I have YouTube reps that I used to work with, and I've emailed them, but I haven't gotten any response back, so. Don't talk to her. She's with Russia. Yeah, basically. That's a high turnover rate, too. Because I mean, we used to have a YouTube rep every couple months to be somebody different. They probably don't even work there anymore. I think that's definitely worth a shot, though. Yeah, I mean, again, it's kind of like with the DOJ thing, trying to get our money back, trying to get our channel back.
Starting point is 00:27:47 It's like, I would love someone to be able to talk to, someone to reach out. How much money? Can you tell us? It was around $400,000. That's a lot of money. Yeah, but you know what the kicker is? The most they can take with this is $500,000. So we were just under, if we had more money,
Starting point is 00:28:04 they wouldn't have been able to do this. Oh, I see. You know what I mean? Because there's a limit. But yeah, that's what they took. And it was money that we had invested into the company. That sucks, man. Yeah, and it's money that we can prove its source.
Starting point is 00:28:18 We can prove that it came from Canada. Yeah, there's a paper trail, obviously. So we could prove it. That's what's so disappointing about, about, I mean, I know Trump's did some things wholeheartedly love, but, you know, somebody like you who was persecuted by the left, and he did absolutely nothing, that's bullshit. I would, again, I would love the help. I just, I know that there's, there's a lot of people who are in similar positions, right?
Starting point is 00:28:45 Yeah. And, I mean, and I think there's, there are people who are still in the government, like the people who did this to me, a lot of them are still there. They're still at, you know. They didn't leave just calls Trump's in office. Exactly. And so it's not as easy to fix this. I've met with some people at the DOJ who are like, yeah, I would
Starting point is 00:29:02 love to help, but I can't. It's not, you know, it's not my department, you have to go through this. It's a lot, it's honestly Leviathan. The number of people who are still in the government who are hostile to Trump, to Trump supporters to his agenda.
Starting point is 00:29:19 They're trying to willfully, like, stonewall things. It's a problem. It's a problem. And I'm honestly, like, my whole experience with this, I'm impressed that anything ever gets done in a positive direction at all. Just seeing the amount of internal pushback that everything gets. Like, colleagues and friends on the right since this whole thing went down, have they been, have they reached out to you?
Starting point is 00:29:38 Have they changed or they cut relationships with you? I mean, I still haven't heard back from, like, literally anyone at the blaze. I've still not heard from them. And after they fired me, they deleted all. all of my content from their platforms. And, you know, same with TPUSA. I used to be a TFIUSA contributor for years. They didn't, they actually didn't reach out to me.
Starting point is 00:30:02 I just kind of like surmise that I was probably fired and was correct. But yeah, aside from that, none of the people who, I guess, also threw me under the bus have apologized or clarified. I know like Megan Kelly, she did a really big, she was one of the ones who went hardest against me. She had like entire. She did. Yeah, she did. I know. Like, even, like, I had people who I'm not close with sending me stuff. Like, did you hear what Megan Kelly said about you? It's like, nice to see you, man. Yeah. Yeah, that's got a suck. Hey, hey, hey, how much you see what Turkle calls and said about that other day? It's like, yeah, thank you. Thank you for sending me this, Josh.
Starting point is 00:30:37 But yeah, it was pretty, it was, she went hard. And so I don't think there's ever been any clarification of the update. Like, hey, so by the way, what they were saying was not true. And I don't expect that, honestly. I don't expect anybody. especially on the left, all these different, like, you know, there were hit pieces running the New Yorker, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes. I don't think any of them have done an update of, like, by the way, this was closed, no charges ever brought.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Yeah. Man, he turned your life upside down. Oh, yeah, they did. Yeah. Damn. I'm like sad. It's like it's not even my channel. I could just imagine, like, going through what you're going through.
Starting point is 00:31:14 It's like, you put all you're working and something like that. I know the feeling people are like just stonewalling you and then ostracide you, like us being conservatives, Republican, Trump supporters, we've gotten it because our agent, well, several agents that were represented, hey, man, you represent these assholes and your agent called you, can you take my name down off your website? Yeah. It's like, I know what that feels like.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Yeah, I used to be with the UTA. I don't know if you guys know that there are. Yeah, that was like, yeah. Yeah, so I was with them, and they dropped me even before this. There was like a clip that I did where I was talking about how. how the Scandinavian countries, their form of, like, welfare system works better because they're homogenous. And so, you know, they don't have people who are coming in and just taking.
Starting point is 00:31:58 It's just more everyone's expected to contribute. Anyway, so. Right. Literally, which now, nowadays, I'm sorry, like the Overton window has shifted in favor of the ride because nowadays, that's not controversial. I mean, Stephen Miller, he says spicier things by 8 a.m. on Fox. But, you know, six years ago, that was considered, I don't know, so they dropped me for that. So do you ever, like, think, like, you know, I'm just.
Starting point is 00:32:19 just going to walk away from this, I'm just going to go a traditional route in my career, get off camera. Has that ever crossed your mind? Well, Tenet was supposed to be how I was getting off camera. Right. That didn't work out so well. So now we're back to streaming. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Yeah. Yeah. So you're on Rumble now? Yes. Yes. I am on Rumble. So I'm on Rumble X, Kick, Facebook, and Twitch. And also all the podcast platforms.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Okay. Yeah. Okay. So I came, I was trying to look you up on YouTube. I guess it's an old channel. Lauren Chin Clips. There are people who upload stuff of mine. That's not even yours.
Starting point is 00:32:56 But nothing is monetized to me. But I still, like, I'm at a point now where it's worth getting out the, it's worth getting out the, you know, what you call it, the content at least. Makes sense. She's been banned from YouTube. Yeah, so it's not her channel. So you can't even create a YouTube channel. I don't think so. I don't think I can.
Starting point is 00:33:12 That's wild. I mean, they do have like they've had a second chance program. And I'm curious. like I'm at a point now where it's like, even if you don't want to give me my old channels back, I would settle for creating a new channel, but I just don't know if that's even possible. I would love to. I would go ahead and give it a shot. I would try.
Starting point is 00:33:30 I would try. You're innocent. But then like what happens if they, like, if they ban me again, are they going to start doing what they do with Nick Fuentes and now you can't even have content of Nick Fuentes on? Yeah, somebody's upload your content on there. Yeah. And that's okay. And I do video on Nick Fuentes.
Starting point is 00:33:43 It doesn't come down. Yeah. I just think he can't create a, there, there are videos of Nick Fuentes' content. And a lot of people I know, like, watching, there's like a little person reacting in the corner. The one that I watch who reacts to Nick Fuendez is like some Eastern European guy. But, oh, he's funny.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Yeah, right? And it's funny because I used to think, man, this is like, this is low effort. He's just uploading. It's basically just so we could watch Nick. But then I was watching, there was a Nick clip that was on my X-Feed, and I watched it. And I was like, I miss my little European guy.
Starting point is 00:34:12 I miss him there. He is a value ad. Right. Yeah. How's things working out on, was it Rumble? Rumble. I have a lot of subscribers on Rumble, but I don't get a lot of views. I get most of my views on X. Yeah, I stop up loading on Rumble. Yeah, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Yeah, yeah. You don't pay your shit over there anyway. Yeah, no, it's more like experience points. Like, you know, you're just for the exposure. I'm sure that some people are getting views and money, but I think you got to, it's a select group of people on that. Yeah. I think they tend to, they tend to favor the creators that they have deals with. Yeah. Yeah. It makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense. That's why I ain't upload.
Starting point is 00:34:49 shit over. Hey man, what happened? You guys don't upload it. Fuck you. You don't pay you. Dude, I got a video. Got $200,000. You pay me 50 cents.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah. Kiss my ass. Yeah. So X, X, though. X is, uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:04 X is monetized, right? X is monetized, yeah. It's not YouTube money. It's chump change is what it is. Yeah. I think I, I calculated one.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I'm happy for it, though. Like, I'm still at least I can upload. People see it. That's big at this point. You pay me something, but still I, I calculated it. my like CPM and I think it was
Starting point is 00:35:21 0.0012 cents or something like that. That's modern day slavery right now. You said it not me. I would not go so far to say that. Hey, are you on Facebook? Yes, I am on Facebook. Okay. How's Facebook working? So I don't know how Facebook works.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I'm not a big Facebook person. I'm trying to I upload there but I'm sure it's probably not, you know, because for algorithm wise I know what's good on YouTube and I can, I do well on X Right, but I don't personally scroll on Facebook, so I'm less familiar. So we put the content on Facebook, and then it's just like it's there.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Yeah. You just got to tweak your content. Facebook is probably our best platform. Yeah. We'll give you some tips off camera, yeah. Okay. That's actually our biggest platform, money-wise and everything. We know.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Cut all this shit out. Yeah. As far as you say Facebook, I'm cutting it out. Yeah. Cut all this shit out. And I do pretty good views on Instagram, too, but I don't get paid for that. Oh, you don't get paid shit over it. Like Rumble.
Starting point is 00:36:21 You get paid for pictures and stuff. I should upload pictures. I'm really bad at uploading pictures. Oh, you got to do the memes. That's where all the money is, not videos. Just memes? Just the memes. Wait, making me.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I'll show you. I'll show you. I'll show you. Yeah. Yeah. Creator economy with the Hodge twins. Facebook is a gold mine. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Well, I'm still on Facebook. Literally just YouTube bad meme. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Man, this is like, this interview kind of pissed me off. It's like, yeah, I know. I don't know how you're so, like, happy.
Starting point is 00:36:53 I'd be fucking going. I'll be chimping out. Okay, yeah. So this happened. All of this happened, really, September, 2024, right? Yeah. So now we are almost, we're coming up on two years later. There was definite chimpin.
Starting point is 00:37:07 There was, there was swearing, there was gnashing of teeth, all of the things. Yeah, like me just literally F-bombs with my lawyer. but not too many because he's expensive per minute. But just, yeah, there's like, it's like the 12 stages of the grief, except it's anger, all that stuff. So I'm at a better point now emotionally and spiritually than I was when it was all happening, especially like, you know. But it's crazy, Laura.
Starting point is 00:37:32 You got all these, I mean Lauren, I said Laura. Yeah. Yeah, sorry, Lauren. You got all these colleagues, all these close relationships, and nobody went to bat. A lot of these people are very close to the Trump administration and they didn't go to bat for you or do anything for you. That is accurate, yes.
Starting point is 00:37:45 But there are, like, so that is true. But at the same time, you know, there are people who publicly defended me and they didn't need to. And like, you know, people like Sean Fitzgerald, he did a video actually looking at the indictment and going through it. And he was like, yeah, this kind of seems like BS. And he got flack from his own audience saying, no, it's just because you're friends. You know, you can't see it clearly. But he was right. And so like I told I hope you feel vindicated that you were right.
Starting point is 00:38:10 You're one of the few people who actually looked at this objectively. You didn't just believe the headlines. So I'll always appreciate that. But, yeah, again, I am actively asking if there are people who do know the Trump administration who would help. That would be great because, I mean, but it's kind of like a catch-22. Like, no one wants to help me because everyone thinks I'm a Russian spy, because no one wants to help me to clarify that I'm not. Yeah. Zenophobia.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Yeah. Yeah, you were born in, you lived in Hong Kong. Yeah, I grew up mostly in Hong Kong. Okay. What's China like? So China, China is, I mean, it's changed so much in the past 10 years. I spent last year in Asia because my work visa expired and I tried applying for a new one. So again, there are reports like, oh, her visa got revoked.
Starting point is 00:39:01 It did not get revoked. Like revoking a visa as a whole thing. You have to go through like a legal system. So mine just simply expired because I wasn't working. And so now I am working again. So, but we had to spend like six months in Asia. And that's something else that the DOJ could have helped us with. Yeah, but they were just, yeah, so we had to leave.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Like did not want to be an overstay. So we were just like, and it's so funny because my lawyer is like, is there anything you could do to help them? Like, you know, because of this, they have been able to work for like months and months. Everything. All their contracts dropped them. And they were like, they were actually told us that they would not help us, but they would not go through removal of proceedings if we chose to say. And it's like, well, that just seems like entrapment 100%. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I do not trust you people at all. And the FBI, along the way they had done stuff like that, where it's like you're definitely trying to get us to do something that is illegal, so you can charge us with something. So yeah, we just left, took like six months to work everything out, during which time we did end up, like, putting a statement, going public, started, like, posting stuff publicly again. But anyway, to your question, I spent like six months in Asian.
Starting point is 00:40:12 And it was interesting because there are things. Like, I love America so much. Like, people have asked me, why are you back in America after everything that happened to you? And it's like, well, it's not because of the government and me being best friends. It's because I love America and I love Americans. I love American culture. Like, there's so much amazing. Like, I love American work environment.
Starting point is 00:40:33 There's so much opportunity. I love the heritage. Like, I'm obsessed with it. I'm kind of like the American equivalent of a weeb. Like, that's me. But, yeah, not a fan. of my friends at the SDNY. But it was interesting because
Starting point is 00:40:46 for all the strengths that America has, being back in Asia, I did realize things that I'd kind of become desensitized to. It's like, oh, it's actually, it's not normal that I avoid public transit because of safety issues. You know, like you, you, it should just be safe. It should just be clean and efficient
Starting point is 00:41:02 and affordable. So there were things like that also, I mean, groceries are so much cheaper. And I know people might say, well, you know, what if it's an underdeveloped country? But I mean, groceries are. are cheaper in places like Japan and Hong Kong, and those aren't third world countries.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Right. Like, I don't know, like Thailand or Vietnam or something like that. So what part of Asia were you staying in? We spent time in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Thailand, and Tokyo. That name, Bangkok. This just sounds crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:33 And unfortunately, the name is kind of representative of some of the tourism industry there. Yeah, my brother-in-law sent me, because he works out here. He said, look at his dudes in the name. said fat hole. I was like, man, it's crazy. You're going to want a pseudonym if you move here. Right. Yeah. When making comparisons with China in America, United States, they're kicking our butts in a lot of things, right? Things that actually matter to America. Yeah, I mean, it's crazy looking at China economically. There's just been a huge explosion of progress.
Starting point is 00:42:05 And, you know, I kind of got out of the Western media bubble. And I think there's a lot of things that China is doing right now that are very impressive and it seems like any time I try to bring it up there's like America's like oh no it's all fake it's not real it's like bro you don't need to glaze this communist party or anything
Starting point is 00:42:25 no one's asking about you to do that but I think if you're ignoring Chinese tech innovations Chinese EVs Chinese AI if you if you think that this is not actual like that this is legit this is going to be really competitive you're going to be blindsided because China is a communist country right
Starting point is 00:42:41 So it's Chinese... Because they have a lot of aspects of American, you know, Western capitalism. Right. So the Chinese Communist Party is one party rule in China. But if you look at the economy, it's not a communist economy. Really? So, oh, 100%. Well, you have private ownership, right? I would say it's state-guided capitalism, socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Because if you look at what actual communism is, you don't have private ownership, you don't have private capital, you don't have market like, you know, I guess like market allocation of resources. All of these things are present in China. So I see all these leftists, you know, they'll have a picture of, you know, Shanghai or
Starting point is 00:43:23 these beautiful new Chinese cities. Like if communism fails, explain China. It's like, well, China was really poor for a long time, if you guys recall. It was only during the 90s when they started opening up the economy to capitalist influences, foreign direct investment and things like.
Starting point is 00:43:40 like that, that really things took off. So, no, it's not a communist economy. And it really, it frustrates me when people aren't aware of that, but simultaneously weighing in on the Chinese economy. I try to correct them, but then I'm always labeled like a CCP, spire propaganda. It's like,
Starting point is 00:43:55 I'm not shilling for the CCP. It's just like, this is not correct. That's what I hate about politics in America. Yeah. If I say something like, like a lot of Republicans want all Muslims deported, I'm like, we have freedom of religion in this country. Right, yeah. It really disturbs me that the Republican Party is that way.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Yeah, I know it is frustrating. I know, like, so Sniko is a streamer. I've streamed with him. He's another person who, like, after I was rated, like, he checked in. Like, hey, you guys, okay, this is crazy. He's Muslim. I want him to be Christian. I'm Christian.
Starting point is 00:44:28 I think everybody should be Christian. Christianity number one, to be clear. I'm Christian, too, by the way. Yeah. But, you know, I've had people say, oh, he needs to be deported, blah, blah. I's like, look, man, he's not some, like, Arab immigrant who's just come in. He's born and. New York, raised in New York.
Starting point is 00:44:42 I don't think it's really, like, he's not an extremist. I mean, he's a streamer on kick, right? How, like, how much of an Islamist could he be? Like, he's just Muslim. I don't think it's fair to say that. So you've noticed the hatred that Republicans have for the Muslim faith.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Yeah, I mean, like, I know, like, I go hard on, like, different groups and I never get any pushback for being too hard on Muslims. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I would explore if I just would, went ap shit on Muslims every day. No, yeah, 100%.
Starting point is 00:45:12 No one's ever like, hang on. Hey, man, you're going a little bit too with the Muslims, man. But it's funny, because like anytime I've posted stuff about China, like, even just like apolitical, because I'm not trying to prop up the CCP. Like, to me, it's just like, you know, I have heritage
Starting point is 00:45:28 from China. I'm interested in it. It's not like a political thing to me. Just like I love America even when Biden was president. That's kind of how I see it. You just call them balls and strikes on both sides. Right, exactly. So, you know, I'd post like something.
Starting point is 00:45:40 random about China and then there'll be this person who have seen on my cat, like, oh, what about the Uyghurs? It's like, okay, you hate the Chinese, you hate the Muslims, but suddenly you're very concerned about the Chinese Muslims. Exactly. Exactly. I don't think so. So disingen. It draws me crazy. Like when Trump said he's going to free the people
Starting point is 00:45:58 Iran, I'm like, what are you talking about? This is like a the opposite. These people want to they're Muslims. They don't need U.S. and Israel to free them. Yeah, exactly. And it's like they're, for better or worse, like, that's their own thing. And I don't, if you were to pull them, do you do you support us bombing you?
Starting point is 00:46:16 I'm pretty sure it'd be no. Pretty sure it'd be no. Right, right. A lot of people tell me if I'm wrong, it sounds like to me, your experience in China, all capitalism is not good, but all communism
Starting point is 00:46:30 is not necessarily bad if it's done the right way. Well, I wouldn't even call it you know, communism, but I'm a lot less, I care less about the economic of it all than I used to. Because you have people who are Republicans, conservatives, and the American political seem like people like Ben Shapiro who are like
Starting point is 00:46:46 we can't, you know, try to do anything that might improve housing because that's what the left does and it's not capitalists and blah, blah, blah. I care less about that. You know, like if banning investment firms like BlackRock from buying single family homes make things more affordable than as far as I'm concerned, F the free market, I guess.
Starting point is 00:47:05 If you look at that bill, if you look at that bill, they can buy to 300 homes. They still can. Yeah. They can still buy up to 300 homes. There's still a lot. What? Just a lot of damn homes.
Starting point is 00:47:18 What, per what? Every six months or? No, you can buy the 300 homes. Every LLC they create under, you know, to help these big institutions from buying all the homes. But I can create another LLC and buy another 300 homes. Yeah. It doesn't do anything. It's just off the show.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I mean, I have family that works with like venture capitalists and private equity. Right. These guys are doing fine. They don't need any more, like, protections. It's more the everyday Americans that I think could use someone in their corner. So, like, when I see conservatives go so hard to bat for just, like, no regulations to benefit the actual everyday person, and we already live with tons of regulations, to be clear, it's not like America is purely capitalist. And this is the first regulation we might have that would make us socialist.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Like, no, there's already tons of regulations. It's just that this one might set itself apart and that it might actually lower the cost and then we see all of the conservative establishment coming out saying like, no, how could we? This is communism. It kind of seems like you guys are just, you know, playing for the corporations.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Exactly what they do. Yeah. And so, you know, if I care less about that because I look at a lot of these other countries and it's like, okay, the world isn't going to end. It's not all going to turn to fire if we tell Black Rock they can't buy a single family home. Like, we'll be okay.
Starting point is 00:48:35 Right. Right. Chinese people are way more patriotic for their country than I would say. I'm asking you this question than Americans are patriotic for this country. I think it depends on the Americans, right? Because there are a lot of Americans who still love America. I think they should love America. But unfortunately they're like, especially on the left, you're a lot of people who demonize America,
Starting point is 00:48:54 who don't want to even fly the flag. And so, yeah, the Chinese people are very patriotic, very nationalistic. And, you know, looking at China, it's funny because they're still multiracial. overwhelmingly how, but you still do have pockets of, well, I mean, the Uyghurs are an ethnic minority. Tibetans are an ethnic minority. What does the Uyghurs look like? They look kind of white, honestly. They don't, they don't, I mean like maybe Turkish, Central Asian, so they don't look Chinese like you would imagine a Chinese person would look.
Starting point is 00:49:25 But I think if you're going to have a multiracial society, you have to have a very civic-minded society. Something that brings you together. Singapore is a great example of that. It's a multiracial society, but they have a really strong sense of, like, a civic nationalism. You can't have multiracial and no civic nationalism. And, like, because then what brings you together? Literally nothing. It's just fighting all the time.
Starting point is 00:49:47 So pretty much these countries don't have Democrats. Yeah. Basically. And it's funny because you guys know Hassan Piker. Yeah. Yeah. So he went to China and he was glazing literally the Communist Party. Right.
Starting point is 00:50:02 But he's a big leftist. And it's funny because everything he loves. about China that makes China safe or prosperous, he would oppose 100% in America's because it's actually fascist policies, right? Sorry? Yeah, so there was a, this is the one, like the image that went viral of a prison. Is that a concentration camp? Well, there are prisons in, like, Xinjiang in the Uyghur area. My postures. So these people are arrested because their murder is amazing. Relax. It's so bad. Look at my I'm like getting old as fuck. But yeah, so that went viral, huh?
Starting point is 00:50:37 Yeah, but that's kind of died down now since the narrative didn't really take on because people don't know. You can actually just go to Xinjiang. Like you can go to where these people live. It's not closed off. You could just go for yourself and talk to them. And because China's starting to open up to tourism, people are doing that. And they're seeing that a lot of the narratives aren't true. Like, it's a similar thing with all these Americans, sorry, all these Europeans coming to America for the World Cup. There are so many Europeans who are like, I'm not just going to get shot walking down the street.
Starting point is 00:51:05 There aren't just people dying in the street because they can't afford health care. A lot of what their media was telling them about America was obviously not true. And so I think it's kind of been a similar case with a lot of the narratives surrounding China. And that's why I actually think travel is a good thing. I'm not like a hippie lib.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Everyone get along, but it's like you should have some exposure if you're going to really criticize something. Check it out. See for yourself. What do you think life would be like for me if I tried to live in Hong Kong? Okay, so Hong Kong is different than I would say mainland China. So Hong Kong is, and people have asked me, why don't you live in Hong Kong? I also love Hong Kong, but Hong Kong is un-Iran.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Like 100% literal here, the least affordable housing in the entire planet. Yeah, really? Yeah, it's so expensive. It makes New York look like Boise, basically, in terms of the pricing. You get like a tiny little box. Oh, man, the apartments, the toilets, everything is so small. It's like 10 billion of them, man. It's like a bunch of people there.
Starting point is 00:52:05 They're really, really high population density. Yeah. They're just popping out kids there? Unfortunately, no. Unfortunately, no. Hong Kong also has one of the lowest fertility rates. 0.7, actually one of, if not the lowest in the world. 0.7.
Starting point is 00:52:19 I know. So when I was there, I have two kids. I looked like a circus. Like, what two kids is not a lot of kids. Right. But just because you don't really see a lot of kids. kids out in public life because there's just not a lot of kids and you know like places don't have changing tables nowhere is a stroller accessible it's crazy how just not built for kids
Starting point is 00:52:40 it's a city of no kids basically yeah okay so if i want to live in i'll have to live in china somewhere but you you could live you could live in hong kong and live very comfortably it's not racist or anything huh hong kong not so much there's i mean there's they're used to like foreigners There's a lot of tourists that come. So Hong Kong would be fine now. They'll be all confused if they saw us. What the hell is that? Hong Kong people are Cantonese, so they're not very friendly, though.
Starting point is 00:53:12 They're kind of like, they're not. That's what I noticed about people from China. They have no personal space? Yeah. Maybe. Well, Cantonese don't have that problem, but if you go to mainland China, so somewhere like Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing,
Starting point is 00:53:27 they are less used to seeing foreigners than someone in Hong Kong. so you might get stared at, but you guys have light eyes, and they love light eyes. You might get people asking and take your picture, just like, because they're not used to seeing it. Like, one of my youngest. I'm a nigger. With green eyes? They'd be like, that's amazing. Can I touch your hair?
Starting point is 00:53:48 Yeah. No, they would. They would. They would. What is wrong with you? No, but China, like, less so now, but I lived in mainland China when I was probably like, 10 and my mom is blonde and so we would go out and people would ask to touch her hair, take pictures with her. I get less so now because it's opened up a lot, it's modernized
Starting point is 00:54:09 a lot, but you would still get people who would probably like be curious and like the mainlanders so they're not very like the Japanese are known for being like very rule bound, very polite, very socially conscious. Mainlanders are kind of like they just like to party. They just like to have a good time. I would say the Japanese are polite but not nice. The mainland Chinese people are opposite. They're maybe. not polite, but they are nice. Like, they want to invite you to their home. They want to drink with you, smoke cigarettes
Starting point is 00:54:35 with you, take a picture. Like, they are just, they love to party. They want to talk to you, know more about you. Your mom's white? My mom is white. You know, like, when black people go to other countries, they hate how other cultures treat them like animals, like, can I take your hair? And just like,
Starting point is 00:54:52 I bet you your mom was like, oh yeah, that's fine. But black people, don't touch me. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? It's just It's just curiosity. Right. It's not. Like racist. Right. If they're not doing it to be like hateful or discriminatory, they're just curious.
Starting point is 00:55:07 It's new. It's different. I notice about Korean, Chinese, that culture from those two countries, they're very fascinated, deceased different races. Like white people don't take the wrong one. But I have seen a lot of black people from America, they take those things the wrong way. Like I saw a lady at the airport where a man just was just playing with his brazen and she freaked out. said, don't touch me, don't touch me.
Starting point is 00:55:30 He was a person. He even asked her, he'd been asked, but she started freaking out. Yeah, he just whipped her like. Now, that's rude. Yeah, that would. Something to be said for personal space. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:45 So do you miss China living there? I do. I do. And like I hadn't been back since COVID because it was hard to travel. And then I started popping out babies. But it was nice to be back. Not the circumstances that I would have chosen to be back. But it was nice to be back.
Starting point is 00:55:59 And, you know, I do miss it. My ideal situation, I would be able to visit every couple of years. And it's important for me that my girls learn Mandarin, not easy. That's very difficult, right? So spoken, it's easy. I would say it's easier than English. The writing is a son of a bitch. It looks like alien.
Starting point is 00:56:19 I know. It's crazy. It is. It looks crazy to me. It's pictagraphs, right? So, you know, 5,000, 10,000, each word, basically. is a different little picture that you need to remember to learn strokes. And so I'm like illiterate when it comes to Chinese,
Starting point is 00:56:34 which is so embarrassing. But I don't want, I want my girls to be able to like read and to speak comfortably just in case they ever, you know, it's part of their culture and their heritage, but also in case they ever wanted to move there. It's a good, I think more languages is good.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Yeah, that language is the most popular language in the world, right? I think, I mean, you know, it's, you got over a billion people just in China and there are diaspora Chinese people who all, also speak it. So yeah. Although English is because of the number of English second language speakers,
Starting point is 00:57:02 I think still up there. I think it's Chinese, then it's Spanish, didn't it's English. I'm not, how many languages do you speak? Like fewer every day, because I don't practice. Really? Yeah, but I used to, so growing up, Cantonese was, I guess, what everywhere spoke
Starting point is 00:57:19 and what my dad can speak, but then we learned Mandarin in school. And then moved to like North America, don't speak it at all. And I also, like, when I was in university, I took Arabic and Persian, which I also have not spoken at all since I graduated. So my thing is I like to learn languages and then forget them. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:39 So Cantonese, that's what, the language in China is Mandarin. Right. What does, do they speak Cantonese there as well? In southern part, like in some parts of China, they might also speak Cantonese. But Mandarin is the official language. And yeah, Cantonese is what they speak in Hong Kong. And most of the Chinatowns in America are Cantonese. Like we went to Chicago, Chinatown.
Starting point is 00:58:02 It's basically all Cantonese. Yeah. But if you're in Vegas, if you go to the strip and you go to any of the fancy watch or jewelry stores and there are Chinese sales associates, those people are Mandarin speakers. They're there for the mainland Chinese money. So how often do you see people in China speak in English?
Starting point is 00:58:20 Hong Kong all the time. Yeah, Hong Kong all the time. So I would be fine there. Oh, yeah, you'd be fine there. I mean, the road signs are in English, like a lot of the more the older people like now it used to be that in school in Hong Kong
Starting point is 00:58:32 they learned Cantonese and English now that's been replaced with Mandarin since the handover it's become more and more Chinese but there's still a lot of English you wouldn't have any problem traveling only speaking English in Hong Kong Chinese yeah so you should visit
Starting point is 00:58:46 I could have fun yeah I know I want to go there just to visit it's too expensive and I've seen a I used to look at that show on TV what was it called about people buying homes abroad and somebody went to, I think it was Hong Kong, and the dude was like really tall.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Everywhere he went, he had to duck. Yeah. Everything is like very miniature. Even the toilet, he can even fit on the toilet. He's too big. Yeah, my husband would complain about that, but then also kind of he liked it. Like, oh, no, I'm so tall. I feel like a giant here.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Yeah. Look how much taller I am. Yeah. Yeah, your husband is he white, black? So he's mostly white. You said white, black. You know he's not black. I don't need to do what I said that.
Starting point is 00:59:32 That was so stupid. I don't have that look about me. He's white and Native American. Oh, cool. Yeah, but not like Elizabeth Warren. Like, he actually has the little car. Right, right, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Wow. Yeah, actually, like his, so when we had absolutely no money, because, like, we couldn't work, feds took our bank account. His tribe got a settlement from the Canadian government. And so we were like literally those like that native family. It was like living off the tribal money. So yeah, that was a fun part of my life. So your kids, what do they consider themselves?
Starting point is 01:00:07 I mean, my old is only four. So she just considers herself American. Yeah, but she knows grandpa is Chinese. Yeah. Right. And she started like and that was like a little more awkward where it's like she's old enough where she's starting to notice like patterns of people look different. And like we were in a car back in Nashville and there was like this Asian woman.
Starting point is 01:00:25 And just like at the bank. And then she looks at me and she goes, mommy, look, she's Chinese. And it's like, maybe, but probably don't need to announce that. It's, you know, some people are Chinese. Some people are just, you know, we just, yeah. But your kids, they probably, they look, like, racially ambiguous. Well, my oldest does. She looks racially ambiguous.
Starting point is 01:00:45 She's gotten, like, Spanish because she's just kind of like, she looks like me. My youngest has blue eyes. Wow. So that I did not think was possible from me. But she has- Well, you got the gym. Your mom's white. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 01:01:00 And she's pink. Like, I put sunscreen on her because I'm like, I don't know what's going to happen to you. I'm worried. You know what's really weird? My grandfather on my dad's side, they, and my grandma, they have brown eyes, right? But it's a lot of white in his background. Mm-hmm. So he had, like, three kids.
Starting point is 01:01:19 My dad, a couple of-salary Ruth. He had, like, four kids that came out. blue eyes. Even though they were brown eyes. Yeah. Yeah. And it's the exact same fucking color as ours. And then it got passed on down from my dad.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Well, it's a beautiful color. You guys are lucky. Yeah, it's weird how that worked out. No, 100%. It's because my husband, he also, he's dark as well. So he looks pretty native. But then his grandpa has blue eyes. And then I have my mom.
Starting point is 01:01:45 So even though we both have brown eyes, it's still possible. Now, I don't even know the likelihood of that. Like, if we have more kids, I don't think it would be likely to happen again. It probably happened again. Yeah, but it's crazy because our eldest was also born with blue eyes, but then they changed to brown because like sometimes babies. Sometimes they do that. Yeah, but then I thought that would happen with our younger, but it's like she's 16 months now. So she's like almost one and a half.
Starting point is 01:02:08 So I was like, oh. And also her skin tone is just different. Like my eldest was always darker. Like, I mean, even darker than me actually. But she's like the youngest, she's just pink. It's funny. Like, you know, you don't know what you could get. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:23 All that damn race. Yeah, it goes back generation. Yeah. But Trump's current administration, how do you think we're going to do in the midterms? So I've heard from people that the Republicans are just not spending in the midterms because they don't think it's worth it. They're saving the pot for 2028. I think if they were to just pass the Save America Act, I think that actually do pretty good. I think it would be shocking how much voter fraud is going on.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Yeah. I honestly think that. But considering how that's probably not going to happen, I don't think it's going to go well. Yeah, and that's kind of, I mean, that is the pattern. You know, it goes, if they're Democrats and the executive of the presidency, then people are kind of pissed because everything's always a little bad. And so they vote in the other party. But then we have gridlock for the next two years because now no one can do anything.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Well, I see if we lose the midterms, they're going to go after Trump this time. They got a lot to go on now. Is that son of a bitch, light, about everything? Yeah, I think they're a lot. like those the prediction market odds of if he's going to be impeached and as the likelihood of the Democrats winning the midterms go up, the odds that
Starting point is 01:03:31 he's going to be impeached also go up. I think his last two years is going to be a circus. I mean, it's already a circus. But see, if I were Trump, I would just be going so hard MAGA because it's like you can't run again. Obviously you're going to get, like just even if Republicans were doing great
Starting point is 01:03:47 in the first two years, it always is bad in midterms, right? There's always Democrats, the other party always gains. I would be, I would be making the most of it. I would be going so hard, pissing everybody off and not caring, because what do you have to lose? Oh, he's definitely pissing off everybody.
Starting point is 01:04:01 Yeah, he is. But I think he's catering too much to the establishment of Republicans who didn't even like him in the first place. Who've never liked him. Right. And the people that liked them, you turn on them, call him traitors.
Starting point is 01:04:13 Yeah. That's like, wow. But yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I was, when Trump got elected, I was so happy. I always cried. My, I almost cried when he got shot at. Yeah, when he got shot at tears of my eyes
Starting point is 01:04:27 and when he won, I was so happy. I said, our country has a shot. Boy, was I stupid. The first two months, he was on fire. I got Trump fatigue now. Yeah. The first two months were great, though. Yeah, it was going great.
Starting point is 01:04:40 It was going great. It's just, I think the whole Iran thing, I think that's really turn me off. And then the Epstein thing is really what, like, yeah. And then I understand, you know, what he's trying to do with the illegal, immigrants, you know, a lot of deportations. I totally get there.
Starting point is 01:04:56 I voted for that. But when they shot that guy nine times in the back, unarmed, and then he called him a terrorist. I was like, man, that's wrong. That guy who shot Renee Good, I can understand you was in fear of your life, but you really didn't have to shoot her because if you're shooting at someone, if you're shooting at someone coming at you in a vehicle, that bullet's not going to stop that vehicle.
Starting point is 01:05:15 And when you look at it, when you slow down the video, when he shot her, he was actually on the side of her. And it's like those two deaths was just totally uncalled for. And then we just had another two deaths and there's no body cam. It just looks bad. Yeah, it does look really bad. And that's looking at kind of how the Trump administration has been handling media, it does seem like it's a problem.
Starting point is 01:05:39 Because even with the Epstein files, if you look at things on its face, we've had more transparency with Trump. Still not enough, but than any other president, right? Because people are trying to say, oh, it's the Republican cover up. Biden could have released the files. They could have done that at any time. They did not. But it's because it's because of the, you know, with the PAM body, the caginess, that made it look
Starting point is 01:06:00 way worse than it needed to. She's talking about how she has like thousands of hours. It's on her desk, but then no, it's not. But then the binders. It's like, you guys could have played this differently and just done it from the start. And then everyone would have been like praising you for being transparent. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:16 I just hated when he could start using the word hoax in the same line. is the Epstein files. It's a hoax. It's a hoax. When he start calling other Republican representatives that they're traitors, I was like, man, that's,
Starting point is 01:06:28 yeah, I lost a lot of respect for him. But I think the thing with the Epstein files is that we can all appreciate, like, yeah, there's people have blackmail on them. I don't think these people who want it covered up are above threatening to kill people. Right. And so, like, you know, if you look at people who,
Starting point is 01:06:46 they really wanted him release and then they are in a position to release and they're like, oh no, we can't do that, and they look terrified. I was like, okay, so someone's probably threatened and to kill you is what I'm thinking. I don't know if that's too out there, but I think the only way will ever get actual transparency is probably if there's some, like, benevolent hackers.
Starting point is 01:07:01 Like, honestly speaking, I think that's probably the only way. Yeah. Yeah, because I think it's, I think they got three million pages that's heavily redacted that they haven't released, and I don't think it would ever be released. Well, they, even the pages that they did release, they were actively, like, unreleasing them. Like you could see the number of files available was going down.
Starting point is 01:07:22 Like, oh, well, that's suspicious. Whoever they're trying to protect their, or country or government, they're trying to protect it, is very powerful. Yeah. And one thing that also, not to make this all about me like a woman, but the SDNY is the same segment of the DOJ that handled the Epstein files, but also me. So it's like there's never, like Epstein's ranch, I think, has never been searched, never been rated by the DOJ, by the SD&Y. They've never taken that. That's crazy. But my house, yeah, my house has been.
Starting point is 01:07:52 So apparently I'm the bigger threat. We had a pedophile out here that got arrested. And he was one of God's chosen people. And they let him go back to his country. Oh, yeah. I heard about that. You heard about that? I heard about that.
Starting point is 01:08:03 Like, I mean, it's a two-tier justice system. Oh, 100%. Yeah. Yeah. It's a black pilling episode. Sorry. Yeah, like, can we vote our way out of this? I don't think you can.
Starting point is 01:08:19 I mean, I'm tired of both. for the lesser evil. That's not really winning. Yeah. You know? Do you feel that way you're voting for the lesser of two evils? I mean, like, if you look at what's happening in the UK, what's happening in Canada, what's happening in America, I feel like most of the time that is the option, right? It's just, and it's funny because I feel like on the right, we're pressured to be concerned about electability way more, and compromise way more than the left ever is.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Like the left, they just do it. They don't care. They're playing 4D chess. if they're not able to do something that they want to accomplish in the system, they will change the system. They really just don't care. I mean, look at all the Biden's administration's accomplished. They let in like 10 million people. They didn't do that the right way. They just, like, whatever. They just did it.
Starting point is 01:09:03 But then it seems like when the right tries to undo things or do our own things, all of a sudden, all of a sudden, procedure matters. All of a sudden, there are all these handcuffs, and it's frustrating. Right. And I was listening to someone compare, like a Chinese sister, just because we were talking about China, the Chinese system versus, you know, Western systems. And it's like, it's really weird because the Chinese system is one party. It's just one party.
Starting point is 01:09:27 But if you look at the political and economic change that's happened over the past 20 years in China, it's much more than anything that's happened in America, Canada, or the UK. So the amount of change there is more than it is here. Exactly, because they're unified. But also it's because do we actually have choice in our Western democracies? Are the systems that different? a lot of the times it seems like there's the Unip Party and there's, like anyone who
Starting point is 01:09:52 actually does threaten it, they're going to be basically bullied out to the most that they can, like Trump in 2016. What do you think about James Fishback running for governor in Florida? I would say he's America First. I think he's America First. I think he's the only American first candidate in his entire country.
Starting point is 01:10:07 I think it looks bad that was it Byron Donald won't even debate him. That looks horrible, right? I think that looks really bad. I think even Rhonda Santos is trying to get him to like trying to get there to be a debate for Floridians. Yeah. Yeah, I think that looks really bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Why would he debate? Because he sucks. He probably sucks it debated. Yeah, probably. He's probably a DEI hire. Recently, our company's softball team lost the big game by one run. Then Dale tried to console us with the quote, winning isn't everything.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Well, Dale and I are very different. I get early payout from Bed 365. If my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly, even if they blow the lead later. But was, so people, I think, forget that when Ron DeSantis won, he won really narrowly against, like, this other guy. Black homosexual. Yeah, who just got arrested for something again. jail for being a... He was so close to being...
Starting point is 01:11:49 He could have been a governor of Florida. Yeah. But I think fishback is like America first. So I don't really understand what people would prefer about Byron Donald's over him personally. Well, there's... But Trump is pushing for Donald's, right?
Starting point is 01:12:07 Yeah. And a lot of people labeling Fishback as, you know, anti-usual. Yeah. I mean, he's the governor, though. So it's like, I mean, when I see governors and like mayors like Mamdani weighing in on Israel's like that's kind of weird same with Greg Abbott he goes
Starting point is 01:12:22 really hard for his like you are governor of Texas I don't know why you are weighing in on foreign countries at all interesting point because Desantis actually went to Israel and signed legislation oh yeah that was yeah governors are very important
Starting point is 01:12:37 I love Descans I think he did a great job but I don't agree some of the legislation he did about you know The free speech. Yeah, that's crazy. I still like him. He's a great governor.
Starting point is 01:12:51 But if you point that out, man, he hates Israel. Yeah. He's anti-Semitic, which is, you know, it's BS. Yeah. No, I agree. I love DeSantis. I think he's done a great job. Like, it's crazy to think that now Florida is basically, what are the best Republican states?
Starting point is 01:13:05 Everyone says Florida. But just a few years ago. They were purple. Like, they were really, really blue in areas. So he's done a great job. But yeah, I don't love the freedom of speech. It's amazing. away at it. Like you said, it's amazing. It used to be a purple state. Now it's just, it's more red than
Starting point is 01:13:19 California is blue. Yeah, that's amazing, but they did in Florida. Yeah, it's impressive. I wonder if they're going to let fish back win, though. No, no. I don't think so. I don't think so. And like, I hope that I'm wrong, because I've got like 50 bucks on him for Polly Market, or sorry, for Cal Sheet, but I don't think so. I don't think so. Yeah. Oh, man. I hope he wins. He's been, he's been, he's been campaigning really, really hard. He's gone, I think, to every county in Florida. I think he's the only candidate for governor in a long time to do that. I think if he wins, it's going to make Republicans, the establishment Republicans look really bad because of, wow, we put a black guy and he lost.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Maybe we all racist. Because look at, um, did you just do this to me? Rob was swimming in Ohio. Yeah. I don't think his seat is, you don't think he's going to win? I don't think it's automatic. He might lose. Too brown, huh?
Starting point is 01:14:12 It might be two brands. Well, what's funny is that in his... It's getting close to him. Yeah, in his race, the Democrat, the woman, I forget what her name was. She ran attack ads on Ramoswami for not being America first enough. And it's like, that looks bad because she was right.
Starting point is 01:14:30 You know, you don't want the leftist outflanking you on being pro-America successfully. Right. That's going to be a huge test for a Republican Party if Donaldson doesn't win. And then Ramoswamy... And that's going to look very bad. Boy, he's not Christian.
Starting point is 01:14:44 That really hurts him. Yeah. And it's going might hurt Byron. He's black. And I mean, I'm not saying Republicans are racist, but, you know, since Obama, they're like, they got the guard up with black folks. Well, Donald should have been, like, Cuban. That would have been slam dunk.
Starting point is 01:14:59 Yeah, slam dunk in Florida. Yeah. He should say, I'm not black. I'm Cuban. Yeah, that's how I identify. I mean, I like Barron Donaldson, but I just don't like some of the things they do, you know, pushing, you know, priorities overseas that don't align with what I think, you know, that it's America first here in America.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Yeah, I don't think there's really any American first candidates. Yeah. The Republican Party's not America first. They're not. Do you think there are any Democrats who are America first? Hell no. Yeah. Nope.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Well, I don't know. Are they? I mean, it's like you, people like AOC, they criticize Israel. But I wouldn't call them America first because simultaneously they want to, like, give money to the entire third world. It seems like it's just an Israel problem. They want to open up our borders. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:15:44 Yeah. So that's not America first either. Right, right. I mean, I think republics have an idea of what it is. Yeah. I mean, Trump kind of ran on that idea, but then he switched it up and it's been hijacked by the establishment. Although with, so with the Iran war, I feel like every other day there's like a ceasefire deal and then it falls through. I don't even know where we're at right now.
Starting point is 01:16:05 They're begging for a deal. Every day, he's been saying this for months. They're begging for a deal. I'm like, what the hell are you talking about? He just did children out. What are you talking about? They're begging for a deal. It's like he's blatantly lying to everyone.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Yeah. And it's like, have you doing this? I mean, politicians lie. Yeah. Joe Biden, he lied his ass off. Trump, he, but Trump, man, he really lies. He lies about everything. During the last, uh, eating correspondence,
Starting point is 01:16:32 the White House correspondent's dinner, when he fell, he said, I didn't fall. They told me to go to the ground. Yeah, he said, you failed. Why don't you lie about that? He lies about everything. Save face. No one wants to be accused of falling. I see that video.
Starting point is 01:16:48 He took, when they started shooting, now that was that when it was shooting that, right? He just fell down. The left was, right? Look this fucking fat ass. Can he run away if somebody's shooting down. He said, no, he told me to get down, though your ass fell down.
Starting point is 01:17:02 They want to make a deal. They want to make a deal so badly. Yeah, and he lies. And he lies about stuff you shouldn't be lying about. He's like a pap. A pathological liar. It's like he can't help himself. Do you agree with him saying he's a pathological liar?
Starting point is 01:17:15 He definitely lies more than Joe Biden. I don't know if he lies more than Joe Biden, though. Man, he lies about everything. Yeah. Which politician lies the most. Yeah. I would say Democrats. Yeah, I mean.
Starting point is 01:17:29 They lie a lot. Yeah. They misrepresent things. I would say AOC probably lies the most. Yeah. But actually, no, she's dumb. I don't know if that's lying or just being wrong. that's different.
Starting point is 01:17:41 A lot of that lies are like character assassination and stuff you know, misrepresenting the facts and stuff like that. It's just when this whole war just opened my eyes to how much he's just lying. I mean, when that schoolgirl elementary school, I think it was 180 kids.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Yeah. When he lied about that and then tried to blame the Iran, I was like that's like wicked in my in my opinion. We're still Trump supporters, by the way. Yeah, I'm not Democrat
Starting point is 01:18:08 by any stretch of imagination, but we have a lot of things we have to work on. Yeah, and that's, I think for especially the younger generation, that's what's really hard is that, you know, under George W. Bush, no young people were conservative or Republicans, basically, and the foreign policy made it toxic. And I feel like Trump won a lot of young people back, but it seems like the neocons are coming back again,
Starting point is 01:18:28 and it's like, well, like young people are not on board with that. Like, what do you mean? They're not going to support that. They're the ones who have to pay for it, who might die for it. So that's what you're going to do. you're going to really have to just invest in the boomer vote because no one else is going to vote for you. They're starting to die off.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Yeah. They're not going to live forever. A little bit. Yeah. It's not that high. Of Iran, we're doing extremely well. They would like to do something, but I say they're not ready yet. They need more of the same.
Starting point is 01:18:59 They're not ready yet. They got some evil intentions. We cannot let them have a nuclear weapon. If we did all this that I'm talking about, about your data centers, isn't that important? when they start blowing away communities one by one, we cannot let them ever even think about having a nuclear weapon, and that's exactly what's happening.
Starting point is 01:19:21 They'll never have a nuclear weapon. Is this new go? Yeah, it's three hours ago. I thought they Uber obliterated it already, like earlier this year, but then again more recently. Do you believe that? A nuclear weapon thing? No, I wouldn't.
Starting point is 01:19:36 I mean- Weapons of mass destruction, although it's all, It's the weapons of mass destruction. Although he's like turning to George Bush 2.0. Yeah, and it's frustrating because you see a lot of people who support this war. And it's like, if you just want to destabilize Iran, just say that. You know, maybe that's legitimate. We can talk about it, but just say it.
Starting point is 01:19:54 Just be real. Don't pretend like you're concerned about, oh, but we need to spread democracy to them. Really? Because there's also a lot of countries, like literally next door that don't have democracy either. You seem less concerned. So talking about it. Yeah, it kind of seems like you don't care about the democracy. So, like, if you want to destabilize around because you're worried that it represents, like, a territorial threat to Israel.
Starting point is 01:20:13 Just say that. Just say that. And we can debate the actual problem instead of debate all the fake talking points and then just wasting everybody's time. I think that's what's going on, what you just said. But it's like the boomers on the right they don't see it, but they just don't want to see it. Yeah. Which is. It's right there in your face.
Starting point is 01:20:32 Yeah. And I've spoken to people like that. And it's kind of, it's almost hard to talk to them. because it's like it's this we did this already with Iraq and it's like they've been brainwashed
Starting point is 01:20:43 yeah it's like I can't see it I can barely hear it too that they're getting broader and more difficult I get why people are confused and upset it feels like things are stalemated
Starting point is 01:20:55 that they're getting broader and more difficult why? Well because what the American people want is victory there's this bizarre notion in foreign policy that the American people
Starting point is 01:21:05 are deep. worried about the immediate cost of war to the enemy. That the American people, that we can't handle the ugliness of war for even a day, that every conflict has to be totally antiseptic. And here I'm not even talking about the American willingness to undergo casualties. No one in America wants American casualties. It's a tragedy and a horror. We do understand that war does come along with casualties,
Starting point is 01:21:29 and we are willing to undergo those casualties in pursuit of an end and a victory for America. But as far as the idea that, for example, America, we can't hit Karga Island because the Iranian people would then be deprived of oil resources. The American people are, I should say, not particularly concerned about that. We are far more concerned with why were there in a bad mood. I can't think of a single military intervention in the Middle East that Ben Shapiro has ever, ever opposed. And it goes back to Iraq because he's old enough for that. And so I don't know why people like him have any legitimacy. left to speak on the issue after we see everything that's happened with the war on terror.
Starting point is 01:22:10 He has allegiance to Israel. But the crazy thing is, it's like he keeps claiming we need victory, victory. What do you mean victory? What does that look like? Because at first it was we need to get committee to step down and he's dead now. Right. But we're still going. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:25 At first it was, yeah, but we already did that earlier and then again. Right. So I don't know what that means. Yeah, that's what victory is. to make Israel the power in the Middle East. Yeah, a lot of people labeled us as like anti-Semitic and anti-Israel. Look, I want Israel to have that own country, but the whole they have on us and the lives we've lost
Starting point is 01:22:46 and the money we spent for them, it's just, it's not paying off. Right. And I don't think that's anti-Semitic at all, but I know it's hard to talk about. Like, I've had people who said that they started talking about, like, non-interventionist standpoints that they've lost contracts. People won't talk to them. I mean, like at the blaze.
Starting point is 01:23:06 A lot of other sectors won't come on our show. Right. Because those are anti-Semitic. And I love Jewish people. I just hate the bad ones. Which is fair of any race you would think. I'll talk shit about niggas all the time. Talk about white.
Starting point is 01:23:20 I talk about everybody. But for some odd reason, when you talk about that country, man, people will ostracize you and just throw your way. Yeah, it's kind of like the opposite of what we're talking about with the Muslims. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And I think, what's it? Nick Shirley and Tyler all of them.
Starting point is 01:23:34 They recently got some of that because they were exposing that town with the Orthodox Jewish community for fraud, like welfare and stuff like that. And the conservatives who loved exposing the Somali community, some of them did not like that. Right, right. You can expose Muslims. Yeah. Exposing them damn Jews.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Exposing them damn brown people. You're all looking like. That's a double standard when it comes about God's chosen then Muslims. Yeah, so what the topics you're covering on your live streams political stuff like we've talked about fishback we've talked about the
Starting point is 01:24:10 Iran war although again like it's it's back and forth and I sometimes are like why I don't have anything new to say I don't know what's going on I feel like we're back in square one pop culture too though like I made 500 videos about the Odyssey so that was fun yeah did you go see it I did go see it
Starting point is 01:24:26 I went to go see it too what did you like it it just gets a little long three hours I'm old too so it's hard staying awake Yeah, I know my thing was like I was like half half a gallon of soda deep and we were only like 30 minutes in the movie. I'm not going to make this like this. What'd you think about the movie? I did not like it at all.
Starting point is 01:24:45 You didn't know. No, I didn't like. I have like I did like a 45 minute review on stream and then like I did another like 1500 word written review. So I have a lot of thoughts on it. I thought like it looked good. The action was fine. But have you guys like do do you like do you like the Odyssey? by Homer.
Starting point is 01:25:04 Well, I didn't know anything about it. I'm just going to watch a movie. I didn't know the background or anything. I'm just following the storyline. So anything that, you know, have to do with mythology or the exact record of the story, I wasn't familiar with. Well, I mean, there are people who have complained that what Christopher Nolan did
Starting point is 01:25:20 is he basically changed Odysseus fundamentally as a character. He, like, gave him, like, post-Vietnam, PTSD, which is very different. He also, I mean, he changed some of the characterization of, how he viewed the Trojan war. Like, oh, war's a bad thing. I'm no longer the conquering hero. Now I'm just, which is like a very modern message,
Starting point is 01:25:40 which isn't really what the Greek epic was about. But my issue, aside from like the woke casting was that I just thought it was poorly written. Like Penelope and Telemachus, their entire purpose in the movie is just, I want Odysseus, where's Odysseus? And it's just all tell not show. So I just thought that was really boring.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Like there's this one scene where she's weaving and she's speaking to her son and she tells her son that she needs to marry someone because the elders have told her. And it's like, wow, that seems like it might have been a really interesting scene
Starting point is 01:26:12 to maybe see as the audience. Instead of hear about, like, why, this is a movie. Why would you not just show that actual scene? She could be arguing with them. Why would you just choose to have, hey, by the way, this potentially interesting thing happened off camera.
Starting point is 01:26:29 Right, right. I'm not a writer, but I just feel like that was a story. Are you a mythology? Well, I like, I like, I'm not huge on it. Because if you say you're interested in Greek history on the internet, that means something. It's like a lot of people. So I will not claim that.
Starting point is 01:26:46 Right. I'm very casual. Very, very casual. You don't want that smoke. Yeah, exactly. I'm very casual. But I like movies. Fucking nerds.
Starting point is 01:26:54 Yeah. So the two people that a lot of people is complaining about, they have very small, insignificant roles, I thought. Like the trans She came out of ground Talked about 30 seconds Oh really? That's it Yeah she got stabbed by our spirit Oh the children
Starting point is 01:27:11 I mean her Yeah yeah Right away That was awesome Yeah And then the black woman in it You know she stabbed her husband Or whatever
Starting point is 01:27:19 Yeah But she was supposed to be black though Yeah she supposed to be Greek So yeah They're in it for like I think five minutes each But at the same time If there was a Hollywood film coming out
Starting point is 01:27:30 and then Andrew Tate was in it for five minutes. I mean, we'd hear about it, right? They'd be mad, too. I think it's safe to say, so. Right. Yeah. Yeah. I'm Achilles.
Starting point is 01:27:42 If Andrew Tate was Achilles? Oh, my God. Talking British? But only a little bit, not fully. Yeah, yeah. They want to get me. I think I wasn't really upset about the movie because I didn't really know the backstory.
Starting point is 01:27:59 Like I seen that movie. It's Troy. I love Troy. Troy is so good. I watched it after. I was like, man, we didn't know how good we had it. In the 2000s. We did not know.
Starting point is 01:28:08 I remember watching that when I was a kid. I was like, it's okay. Yeah. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Same I watched Troy after 300. Gladiator. One of the best movies probably of all time.
Starting point is 01:28:20 Like, so much better than, in my opinion, the Odyssey. Yeah, yeah. It's doing good financially, ain't it? Oh, it's fucking kicking ass. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I think it's over $360 million. Oh, but that's not enough for them. Yeah, I know that budget was probably crazy.
Starting point is 01:28:34 For them to make money, it's got to get close to a billion, right? Yeah. Yeah. Well, it was a good start, $360 million. They might make it. So that black woman, that trans guy, didn't really affect them. But see, if I were the Hollywood studio and I had invested this much money and Christopher Nolan's like, I'm going to, he's British. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:28:55 I want blackness. I want transness. If I were the studio, I'd be like, me. Maybe you do that in a cheaper movie. I don't know. Maybe you use that in some sort of like art house thing that doesn't cost $250 million. Yeah, they definitely going to probably lose some money on that, but I think they might make it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:11 Maybe. Probably break even. Yeah. I know Supergirl, that lasts a lot of money, yeah. That's not going to make it. Yeah, who the hell wants to see Supergirl? She's got at least be hot as hell. Yeah, they could have cast Sidney's twinning and they would have made up a trillion dollars.
Starting point is 01:29:23 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Not to say that the Supergirl wasn't ugly, but is she? Oh, the memes are so mean. They're funny, but they're very mean. Yeah. Her as a... She's not an ugly girl, right?
Starting point is 01:29:38 No, she's not ugly, but I also have to say, whoever was styling her in this movie was no... What the hell? That's not what the damn joke. Oh, that's a meme, okay. You remember that little kid, Keith? That's like from the planet of the age.
Starting point is 01:29:52 Oh, my God, that's horrible. They're making her look Crow Magnon. But she's, like, she's... Did you guys watch House of the Dragon? She's good in that. She's good in that and she's cute. And you look at all of the footage and photos of her doing press for the film. She's a cute girl, but they did no favors for her in the styling.
Starting point is 01:30:09 Yeah. Okay, I'm starting to look at that show right there. And I kind of know, she looks, I mean, she's not ugly, but. That's going to shut up. She's not ugly. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. She's mad ugly. Hey, Keith.
Starting point is 01:30:23 Now I'll get her in Supergirl, though. I mean, I've done far worse. Believe me. So I don't even know. why I'm complaining. There's been something I thought to gladly think of it. She's a teen compared to what I used to be with.
Starting point is 01:30:36 Yeah, that's totally mean right there. Yeah, it was mean. Yeah. She has a masculine. She has a male. I think that's Will Poulter. Her jawline is real strong. Like, in the ones you first show me, Joe,
Starting point is 01:30:49 she's got a strong jawline. You need to soften that shit up a little bit. Is that really her? Not the middle picture, but the two. That's her? Yeah, that's really her. Yeah, she has a masculine. She has a masculine.
Starting point is 01:31:03 No, especially that one movie you can show me. What was that movie called? Yeah, she, because I'm watching that show, and I'm watching that. You're watching that. It's good, right? Yeah. I thought she looked boyish. Yeah, she's masculine.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Can't see shit. Yeah, it's too far. Yeah, that's me. That's horrible. That's crazy. That's not even her. See, right there, right there's a great. She looks nice right there.
Starting point is 01:31:31 She's attractive. That's actually her. Yeah, that's totally fine. Doable. No, I just feel like movies now, they try to make the actresses look as ugly as possible. Right. It's like Harvey Weinstein, for all of his faults,
Starting point is 01:31:46 he would not have allowed, right? Definitely. But Supergirl, not really a lot of people's into that Supergirl, Superman, Batman, that's why I didn't do well. Supergirl, we won't see that. She'd be super hot. Yeah, I know. Just from a misogynistic male point of view.
Starting point is 01:32:05 Sidney would have been better. It's not a good actress, but that's okay. Who cares about being doing out of acting? She's supergirl. Oh, man. Hey, this has been great. So where can everybody find you, Lauren? So X is probably the best place.
Starting point is 01:32:24 Yeah, X at the Lauren Chen on X. Oh, okay, X. Yeah. I'm sorry. Formally known as Twitter. Yeah. What's your Facebook? Yeah, Facebook is at the Lauren Chen, same as X.
Starting point is 01:32:36 I post my content there. Also, all the audio only, like the podcast platforms, and at them out with Lauren Chen or on Instagram at the Lauren Chen. Yeah, it's been a damn good show. Damn good show. Yeah, thank you for having me. Thank you for coming. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:51 All right, but...
